Best Western Windsor Inn

This a good place to stay, reasonable price. Staff is very friendly. Breakfast was average. The bed was very comfortable. This easy to find on main highway......................... I would stay there again . We used it as a stopping place for the night for longer trip.

We arrived late and the hotel was quiet. There was someone at the desk to greet us. Room was clean. Temperature was easy to get adjusted (it was 28 outside) and it held it all night. There were enough outlets for all our machines

Arrived at the hotel about 10:30pm. Not a single car in the parking lot. Went inside to check in and there was no desk clerk in sight. Called out but no answer. Walked out a back door to see if any cars were back there and the desk clerk emerged from a car parked in back. She followed us back inside to check us in. Hotel bill was incorrect. Tried to overcharge by $50. Finally got our room and when getting into bed saw a large spider climbing up the wall. Will not be staying here again!

This is the worst best western I have ever experienced. I stayed here because I had a free award night to use and did not expect additional travel before it expired. In the past I have stayed in the La Quinta or Hampton Inn while passing through Dumas, TX. It is what I will do in the future. The sheets here were dirty-I asked for a new set, the shower was broken and nonfunctional-the desk gal made a note, the faucet leaked at the base when turned on-again she made a note, the bathroom floor was dirty and there was cat hair on the carpet-I didn't bother mentioning it but I am sure the gal would just have made a note. It was an unpleasant stay. The outside stairwell was a mess. There was some “liquid” on the landing and what looked like vomit on two of the steps. Don't be fooled by the online pictures. The indoor pool was not available, the breakfast did not include gravy for the biscuits. The tea selection included plain black or plain green. The prepackaged breakfast sweets were cheap and unappealing. The desk staff had an attitude of disinterest, they were busy on their phone or computer. A free night would normally make me more tolerant of a few problems, but this was too much. This was totally unacceptable!

Our room had at least 5 flies buzzing around, no doubt coming in through the exterior door. I'm not a fan of old-style motels that don't have interior hallways. Most of the guests seemed to be laborers with big pick-up trucks and you could clearly hear their motors. The smoke detector was missing and the microwave was unplugged. It took a struggle and two of us to plug it in. Everything about the place was cheap and needed to be upgraded. But if you want a place to sleep and have a wadded up newspaper to kill flies, it's adequate.

We stayed here for the pool & hot tub. We were informed checking in the heater was broken in the hot tub . Out door corridors- we didn't realize that. Room ac worked well & room was clean. Free breakfast was boiled eggs, sausage, yogurt, Texas make your own waffles, cereal, muffins, honey buns, fruit, oatmeal, & coffee. Breakfast area was warm & dim lighting. Tables were not clean. The pool area looks great too bad it wasn't heated.

There's nothing particularly special about this motel. The price was great. The room was clean. The room was ready when we arrived. The staff was polite. The room was quiet and dark for sleeping. Breakfast was the same mediocre fare you get everywhere. The only problem was the mattress. I've spend about 35 nights this year sleeping in a hotel bed. This bed felt fine when I laid on it myself, but as soon as my husband joined me, it was like an air mattress. Every move I made bounced him, and every move he made jolted me. Needless to say, we didn't sleep particularly well.

Room was filthy upon arrival, yet housekeeping still BANGED on door at 9am.Window was left open by housekeeping without my knowledge.I could have been accosted in my sleep. No concern for guest comfort or safety

Chose this hotel for availability of pool and hot tub. It wasn't working the night we checked in or the morning after due to chemical treatment, which seemed like it was more of an excuse not to maintain the amenity. It's simple false advertisement and we are very disappointed.

We were passing thru from Colorado to Austin. We arrived super late but still greeted with kindness. Rooms were clean. Check out was easy. Morning staff were great! Everything was comfortable and safe. Morning coffee and breakfast goodies were good enough for us to get back on the road and head home.

This Best Western is one of the few remaining hotels that offer pet friendly AND smoking rooms. Good clean rooms with comfortable beds. Food and fuel just steps away. Internet service was fast. This may not be the most "modern" hotel in Dumas, but it's one of the best values you are going to find. Some big rig/rv parking on the side.

I booked the handicapped room but when we arrived, the handicapped parking in front of the room was not designated for the room so- while there were 2 handicapped parking spots, they were both taken. I also booked this hotel as it had a hot tub- that was not working. I requested an extra blanket but staff could not find one. The following day, when we went to breakfast- our dirty towels were removed from the room but no clean ones were brought back. I brought this to the attention of the front desk, who pointed out to me where the cleaning staff was so I could go track them down. I was able to do this but it was not easy as the staff that the clerk pointed out to me did not speak English. I had to just point out what I wanted from her cart.

We are Diamond Members and enjoy staying at throwback Best Western hotels that we can back our truck up to the door of our room. Although this hotel looks good from the street, it is in need of some maintenance. Upon checkout, I told the front desk clerk about things that needed attention in our room. It is my belief that owners can't fix things if guests don't inform them of what is wrong. I told her that I was not looking to be comped any money and asked her to pass on that the guests in room 120 had brought some maintenance issues to her attention. I could tell by the look on her face that what I was saying was something she has heard many times and she was prepared to stand there and take anything unpleasant I might say to her. Instead, I told her that I was not angry or blaming her for anything I was saying and showing her pictures of. Furthermore, housekeeping was not to be blamed as the room was actually cleaned well considering its maintenance problems. Nor was the maintenance person to be blamed because they can only fix what they are allowed to fix. The blame goes to the owners. If the owners choose to cut corners and not keep up with the necessary maintenance and repairs to their hotel, they should be the ones standing behind the front desk listening to what guests say upon checking out. Right across the street is a new Holiday Inn and a new Hampton Inn that guests won't leave the next morning thinking they were charged $100 for a $59 room. I overheard the person checking out after me that the toilet was having problems in room 123. Maybe the front desk should be renamed the complaint desk.

We stayed here one night on a trip home from Colorado. The check in was easy and the front desk lady was friendly and efficient. We had requested a downstairs room dur to my husband's knees and we were given room 108. Although this is an older motel, the room was very clean. The beds were super comfortable and we got a great night's sleep. Room was quiet. The price was great. Didn't have breakfast as we slept too late! Shower was good with plenty of water pressure. We would definitely stay here again.

After traveling many miles we made a rest stop and often stay at best western. This place was very disappointing. We rented 2 rooms and they were half clean. The carpets were dirty with old chewed gum in corner. After showering my grandson screamed and showed me a towel with brown stricks on it. He called it caca stains. Breakfast was very disappointing after being told they served eggs and sausage. I was greeted with toast and cold biscuits. The only positive is the night clerk was friendly.

Nice rooms and accommodations. Motel style so all doors open to the outside. We were able to walk to a restaurant that was really good. The kids enjoyed the pool, which was clean and welcoming. Check in and check out were a breeze.

Friendly staff and great sized rooms with good amenities . We love best Western hotels , usually always great amenities at a reasonable price and a great rewards/ loyalty program. Can be a little overpriced if you stay at popular destinations but I guess that is true with most hotel chains

This motel like so many other--nothing special. Check in fast and friendly. Room was clean...wifi good...bed comfortable...television above average. Breakfast was average grab and go. Pool closed due to Covid. Fridge and microwave

Where to begin? First, we had called about the pool and upon arrival found out it was closed. Breakfast was a "Grab and Go" with bottle of water, dry muffins, granola bar, and apple. Yes, it is COVID however our experience as we traveled was that other hotel chains found a way to go above and beyond during the pandemic. There were not enough towels in the room for a family of four nor did we have a TV remote. When attempting to call front desk, room phone did not work. Made a trip to front desk and clerk was very kind and accommodating by supplying a remote and extra towel. Just as we were all laying down to sleep, looked up at ceiling and noticed smoke alarm battery compartment was wide open with NO battery. We stay at Best Westerns often, but this one has a lobby with stained furniture and a lamp bulb literally hanging upside down by a wire. If ever in Dumas again, we will stay somewhere else.

This hotel was just an “average” Best Western; a bit older than many others I have stayed in, but appeared to be clean. Bed was a bit hard and does need to be replaced. Front desk was friendly; check-in was expedient. Room has fridge and microwave.

Called to make a reservation as they said they were pet friendly on their website. They charge $10 for a pet. But they are really only dog-friendly as they do not take cats. Did not stay, so cannot comment on the hotel itself.

We were traveling back home from visiting family in San Antonio TX for Christmas and after 9 hours driving with our 2 little fur kids we were very tired. We tried calling to ask about rates we read online and no one answered. Shows good reviews? The check in Lady was nice, friendly and quick. Room was clean. Had king sized bed but only 2 small pillows. There's supposed to be 4! We grabbed ours from car. Bed was like concrete and creaky. No comfort there unless you like sleeping on a sidewalk! Door would not shut unless dead bolted and you could see outside through door which allowed cold air in and it was only 25 degrees outside. Very noisy for the small amount of guests there! I realize that hotel can't help noisy guests but we almost had to call desk at 2:00am as guests above and one room over were yelling and fighting until well after 2:30am then another car with kids came in at 4:00am and were very loud and banging stuff around outside. People have no respect or consideration for others but as little of guests they had staying there they should have separated people more! I would never stay here again or recommend them! It was not worth the $135.00 we paid for the night! We travel a lot and this was tied as the worst hotel we stayed in next to one in southern Colorado! I book travel for work personnel all the time in Dumas TX from Colorado and they always stay at Holiday Inn Express in Dumas TX for a week at a time guess next time we travel that's where we will stay even though they charge a little more for our 2 little dogs at least we will have a nice hotel room next time! This hotel should consider some updating and fixing their hotel room entry doors! They definitely need new beds!

It's an older motel. Time for a facelift. It was clean and comfortable. The commode ran all night long and I forgot to report it. Not enough towels I had get more. I will stay again. Ok 200 minimum so I'm just filling in the requirement!

The room was very clean. The bathroom was very clean. Everything smelled as if it was extra cleaned. The bed was comfortable and the room was quiet. Nice selections on the TV. Check in and out with friendly and efficient staff was very easy and quick. Everything in the room worked. I will stay here again.

This Best Western in Dumas Texas is a great place to stay. The rooms are modern and clean, the continental breakfast was great, and the staff (Elizabeth) was awesome. My wife called to make the reservation, and she was really pleased with Elizabeth's kindness and efficiency. KUDOS!!! Just wish the pool had been open, but next time!!

The room was spacious and had two chairs which is nice for two people. Breakfast as good. It looked a little older but clean. We prefer rooms that are entered from inside not outside access. Clerk as helpful and pleasant. Many food sources close by.

I had enough points to pay for the room. I will still treated like a VIP. The front desk clerk handled my special request for a downstairs room as if it was important. I appreciate the way all of the front desk clerks at every Best Western are trained to treat me - and I assume other guest - like they are the most important guest.

Quick check in and gave me all the options I was looking for, 2 queen beds, bottom floor and pet friendly clean and updated room. Very friendly staff and answered questions we had about the promotions that were going on at the time. Breakfast was on time and ready at our early check out. Breakfast area was also clean.

We travel through to Colorado and this is our half way stop. Always clean and staff is always friendly. Rooms are nice sized and easy to get to. Breakfast is always hot and fresh with a good selection.

The hotel was clean, staff is friendly and accommodating. Well located on the highway, easy in and out. We really enjoyed the heated indoor pool. Breakfast was good with the usual offerings. Liked the Texas shaped waffles.

This is a great location to stop when travelling in the panhandle of Texas. The staff was very caring and always available, and the Texas waffle for breakfast was great! There are several places to eat in Dumas, and Hogg's Bar B Q at the local airport is highly recommended.

Hotel was clean and with all the needed amenities. The hotel still allows smoking in designated rooms and the hallways do have an odor. However the non-smoking room that we stayed in did not reflect the odor.

We were happy to stay at this hotel, just passing through for one night. This is an older hotel that has been rennovated and maybe not each of the projects was done to exacting standards, BUT the room was clean with an updated style, bed and pillows were comfortable, fine breakfast, and nice people. Give me those things and I am all set! My kids enjoyed the pool, which is significantly larger than many indoor pools. What I appreciate most about this hotel is that it is priced right for what it is. It is nice but not super fancy - and the same can be said for the price! We would be happy to stay here again. We stay here a lot. Everytime we are here, the staff is always helpful and friendly, they know us and treat us like family. The rooms are always clean and comfy and the pool is good size and hot tub is great on the achy bones after a long drive. The price is reasonable and affordable. There is plenty of items to choose from at breakfast. We would and do recommend d this hotel to all out friends, family and anyone we meet that travels to or thru Dumas tx.

Bed was comfortable and hotel stay was fine. Only complaint I had was of ice machine being broken. There was a restaurant nextdoor to the hotel and we tried our luck at it and it was horrible food was terrible and drinks were bad... horrible. But the hotel recommended a couple of other places to help fulfill our hunger needs.

After a bad hotel roach hotel experience in Amarillo we drove on to Dumas and stayed here instead. Good choice. This hotel was clean and right off the highway. The staff was very friendly and there was a free breakfast. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

The room I was put in smelled of cigarette smoke. Even though I was able to change rooms, walking into that smell made me sick for the rest of the evening.The weather stripping on the door needs replacing and since it was lacking the cold front that moved in caused my room to be freezing even with the heater on. It also allowed for all the noise to come into the room keeping me up most of the night.I do not see how this is a 3-star hotel when it appears to be renovated Motel 6 with all doors facing outside.The counter in the bathroom is perfect height for children, but hard on the backs of adults who have to lean over to wash their hands.

Sitting in luke warm water only makes me think of how many nasty people soaked in this water. When the water is actually hot, it feels so good that the horrific thoughts melt from my mind along with any aches or pains. Thanks for the nightmares dumas!

Everyone at the hotel is friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean, cozy and comfortable. Value is the best. The breakfast items are plentiful and delicious. I definately recommend this hotel for your next stay in Dumas TX.

Good location - close to restaurants and easy to access from the highway. Parking was adequate for my U-Haul and car trailer and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The only drawback to this hotel is the building construction itself. When you can hear the guest upstairs every time he walks across the floor and hear the guy next door singing in the shower - the building needs some work done to cut down that noise transfer. Otherwise a good spot to rest up on a road trip like this one however the next time I'll be the guy upstairs.

This is my second time staying here and just like last time it was a great experience. The lady at the front desk was very fast and helpful and answered any question I had. Next time I'm in Dumas I will definitely stay again.

great service and room, breakfast was not too good. some was good, graavy was watery and lacked seaoning and flavor, was like watered down flour. and I love my biscuits and gravy. the biscuits were good. juices watered down taste.

We stopped here for the night on a drive back from Colorado to NC. We chose the location based on driving time and convenience as there's no real tourism attraction to the area, which smells a lot like gas. there are a lot of gas extraction facilities, and it does impact the ambient air. The hotel is ok, feels old and needs to be renovated. Our room was dark, on the ground floor so it was not ok to open the curtains to get natural light in to avoid heat and have some privacy. The room itself felt a little damp and dark. The hotel staff was friendly. Breakfast felt a little skimpy. Maybe there were not many guests in that night but when we got down for breakfast at 6 AM there were 5 yogurts in the fridge, while 5 people were in the room, and the pastries selection was low as well.

Dumas is our usual overnight stay point on our way to Colorado. Check in was easy. Room was in good shape and comfortable. Pet friendly to boot as we were traveling with 2 pups! The beds were comfortable.

We were on our way home from Corpus Christie, TX to Denver, Colorado and stayed here on July 5th 2018 and upon arrival, the staff were kind and polite. It does not have an elevator, so if you have a lot of luggage, be prepared to make a few a trips! The room that we had was terrible, it smelled like pet urine, A/C unit was loud and the freezer was full of ice. I had asked for a new room and was advised by the front desk person that we couldn't move because I had already opened the door and it is now 'mine'. The assistant manager offered a $10.00 credit for all of the inconvenience. Really - $10.00 credit?? I have to admit, that I am disappointed as I am a rewards customer and will make sure NOT to stay here again.

Its s out 1200 miled crom my house to Colorado destination and tb5is was about 1/2 way..glad we could count on Best Western and staff to fix us up that night we are also reward members and AARP.. did have a non smoking reservation and when arrived to hotel they 1st put us in smoking room..immediately went back to office to discuss and sweet lady made it right..we were exhausted moved rooms and slept good.. room was clean and cool and top floor ( no running children above us)..will keep it in the roladex..small area for breakfast and a crowd

We were last at this hotel in 2016. It hasn't become any better. This will be our last time to stay here. The AC unit was loud and smelled bad. This room had dirt on the flat surfaces, and bugs entered the room headed for the bathroom the entire night. Although the price was less than other motels in town, it was still to expensive for the poor condition of the motel. DON'T stay here. It used to be our favorite but no longer.

We enjoyed out stay. The room was very nice and it was quiet. The bed was very comfortable. The staff was friendly, helpful and efficient. Breakfast was offered from 7 to 9 a.m. We arrived about 8:30. There were quite a few guests who arrived closer to 9 or a little after. The staff was very understanding and made sure there was still something to eat.

Of the several BW hotels we have used across the country, this was the worst. It was advertised as pet friendly, but there was NO place to walk our dogs safely. The light in the bathroom was burned out, and when we reported it we were told we could switch rooms - after we had brought in all our belongings and settled our dogs in. We were so tired after driving all day and lugging things to our room, we just stayed put with the dark bathroom.

Last week we were traveling and got to Dumas about 11 at night. We had stayed at this hotel once before so thought we would again. It has been remodeled since our last stay. But I about fell over when the total room cost for 2 was almost $150.00. The last time we were there it was under $100. I think the room rates increased since oil drilling is active again there. Breakfast was only average. Oh and we got a "gift bag" containing a package of snack crackers, a very small bag of cheetos and 2 bottled waters which might have cost $1.00. I haven't paid that much at a Best Western in years and would have left this one but it was so late and I was tired. Just saw caution if you travel in the Texas panhandle cause they will probably gouge you good on the prices. I will not use his hotel again.

This is a great place to stay. We had 2 rooms while traveling on vacation. Was very clean rooms, beds were wonderful with fluffy pillows. Loved the hot breakfast including bacon and eggs! Would stay again.

Great breakfast area with many choices. The great room area around the front desk was spacious and comfortable, as were the rooms. Nice indoor pool and a small exercise room. The only draw-back is that it has the exterior corridors. It is easier to load and unload, but I feel a little more secure with the interior halls. Would stay here again with no problem.

Upon check in we were given a goody bag with two bottles of water, peanut butter crackers and Doritos. What a nice way to show appreciation for us staying at this property. We stayed in room 216, king bed, with all the normal amenities expected. Nice size spacious room for my husband and I. The only drawback is the mini refrigerator does not have a small freezer section. For us, we road travel a lot and use frozen water bottles for our cooler. Easier to deal with than ice. There are not any elevators and access to the rooms are outside. Every single hotel needs to implement this piece of equipment on their shower heads. See picture. For those that are tall or short, it adjusts to everyone. The bed could use some reinforcing as we could feel every single little move either one of us made. The breakfast was excellent, the staff very friendly, and the hotel clean. We would definitely stay here again. Oh, the wifi is password protected.

This was our first stay at the Dumas Best Western, although we have traveled through many times and stayed at other hotels in town. The price was quite a bit more reasonable than some of our other stays. I had seen other reviews about bugs, but having lived somewhere where bug hatch outs often happen, took those with a grain of salt. We had a great check-in experience. Had a goody bag waiting for us with a notice about the bug issue. Yes, there are bugs outside, but hotel room was absolutely clean. Not a bug in sight. Hotel is a little older than some others, so rooms appear dated, but cleanliness was not an issue. Overall very nice stay for the price.

I will stop again when I take the trip to the Texas Grand Canyon just south of Amarillo. What a place to site see and to visit. I've been the hill country of Texas and now I would like to visit the canyon country of Texas

The room was clean, roomy and comfortable. We were given a goody bag as a welcome, which was appreciated. The staff was friendly and helpful, particularly Maria. The breakfast was abundant and very good.

Staff was extremely pleasant, and friendly. With the reservation already made, the room was ready with lights on and the air conditioner running, making the room cool the moment we arrived. Really nice touch in the Texas heat!

Broken door locks. They moved us to another room, and it had broken door locks. It was a non smoking room, but it smelled like it had been smoked in for years. TV remote didn't work at times. AC was noisey and didn't cool very well. Carpet was worn out and dirty. Roaches!

Recently redecorated room, fresh and lovely: very comfortable bed, big TV with lots of channels, room darkening shades, fridge and microwave, long countertop in bathroom, great showerhead. Older hotel so we were able to park just outside our room. Great night's sleep.

This hotel is in the heart of Dumas, right on U.S. 287. It was built in the 1980s (or maybe the 1970s), but it has been renovated -- and they did a good job. The decor in the lobby and rooms is attractive, the bed was comfortable, and everything worked. The breakfast was good (waffles, bacon, omelets, etc. in addition to the usual). The price also is attractive. There are several newer hotels in Dumas, but the renovation makes this one competitive.

We got the goodie bag with the note about an increase in insects due to the rain, however, we had no issues with insects. But it was a nice touch. The room was clean, bed extremely comfortable. Good side chair. The front desk lady was not pleasant, but perhaps she was having a bad day. We'll likely give them another try the next time we come through town.

We are always pleased with the staff and hotel. We always stay here when we are in town. The staff is friendly and helpful, the rooms are comfy and clean. The breakfast is great. We would definately recommend this hotel to anyone traveling through Dumas.

They gave us a bag of goodies (a small bag of Doritos, crackers and 2 bottles of water) and a note stapled on the bag--an apology about the insects at night due to rain. The staff are very friendly, very clean room, very quiet AC and awesome breakfast. Best Western is awesome!!

Best Western in Dumas has clean rooms. The parking is a bit limited, so you may not be able to park in front of your room if you arrive late. The motel is located close to restaurants and fast food. The staff is very pleasant and helpful, and the breakfast was good. The price was great!

Very friendly staff. Inexpensive price and you get the same amenities as other comparable hotels. The pool area was well-maintained. The breakfast was good, but the gravy was watery and not worth eating. They had one person working the desk and tending to breakfast. Rooms were clean. Definitely worth the price.

What a wonderful surprise in Dumas. We found a great place to stay at a great price. We got a snack bag at check in. How thoughtful!! Updated rooms with nice beds and shower. Very clean with frig and microwave. The breakfast was excellent and well-stocked. We had cheese omelets, sausage, fresh made Texas- shaped waffles, yogurt, and fresh fruit. There was much more. The lobby area is very comfortable with a fireplace area. The indoor pool was clean and nice. The staff was kind and attentive. What more could you ask for?!? Will definitely be back. Thank you!

We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel and the town Dumas, we pleased with every aspect. I am very picky about cleaniness and this hotel meet my standards. My family enjoyed the indoor pool and the Texas shaped waffles at breakfast, if we are ever travel to Dumas again we will definitely stay at this hotel.

Taking grandson to camp in Texas and was half way to location. Tired and hot called hotel they took name and approximately what time we would be there. Check in was quick and clerk gave us a nice bag with water and snacks.

This hotel was comfortable with nice staff, good amenities, comfortable beds and good breakfast. I prefer a room upstairs regardless of no elevator and an end unit which provides less noise and privacy.

Room was OK, but the bed was great. Breakfast had biscuits and gravy, fresh and good, plus the usual cereals, juices, apples, bananas, etc. Hotel was right on the main road through Dumas., easy to find.

Stayed there during the week, reserved a king bed and they do have smoking rooms! Those are pretty hard to find nowadays. It was a really good value and I would stay there again!! The only drawback is limited parking.

Rooms were clean, the Motel Staff was nice and the breakfast was good. The hot tube was not hot at all, and there was no attempt to ever make repairs. I probably would stay at this location again because of the cost that was lower than the rest in town.

The staff went out of their way to meet our needs! All staff were very courteous and helpful. They recommended a place to eat was very good. They had gluten free cereal for breakfast which was great for me!

After booking a 3 night stay w reservations.... one night paid by partial points and debit and another reservation w debit card, my spouse was thrown out because incompetent employee could not find second reservation! After trying to decide if we would stay despite the dirtiness and bugs that made up my mind to stay hotel across street! Awwww soooo much better!

If you're looking for a low cost hotel in Dumas, this is NOT the place to book. I'd give this place no stars if I could. To start, one of the receptionists at the front desk was unhelpful and unwilling to make accommodations like switching our room from a smoking room to non smoking. And as if the smell in our room wasn't frustrating enough, our room was infested with small beetles. I've attached a picture of what the desk looked like after one night.

Great place to stop and relax while traveling. Very friendly service, clean motel, with a great restaurant next door. Indoor swimming pool. Room situated perfect for someone disabled - parking at the door. Thanks for making our stay a good one! Really good breakfast!

Great stay for area .. staff is very accommodating and helpful.......fair prices good location....decent internet.....breakfast typical coffee in room is ok.. coffee pots clean....not the a resort but after 12 hours of work great.

When checking in we were presented a bag as a "Thank You" for staying at the hotel. It consisted of 2 bottles of water, some chips and crackers. It was very thoughtful and it took me by complete surprise. It was something a "Above & Beyond" any of our hotels stays here in the States. It impressed us enough to where we will work our travels so that our evening stop will be here.

Friendly staff, comfortable beds, nice amenities, great, full breakfast buffet, very clean....and if you prefer a smoking room you can still get one. This tells me that they still try to accommodate all guests. Would stay here again, definitely.

Caught in another storm, they are frequent in this area, tired and needed a place to rest. The Best Western in Dumas was selected, a room was available, and as a rewards member used points to stay. Happy to have a safe, quiet place to sleep. should have stayed in bed longer as getting to Raton Pass early did not help, pass was closed waited 7 hours for it to open, hung out at another Best Western until the pass opened.

Front desk staff were helpful and courteous. The hotel was generally clean and tidy. The exception to this was a dirty desk chair in our room (see photo). Also, the door to our room would not self close/ lock without forcing it. Linens were clean, and the room felt clean, other than the chair. The hot tub was broken and the exercise room wad closed for renovation. I would stay here again, without hesitation.

Very friendly staff with a great breakfast and nice, clean rooms. The beds were comfortable and we slept well. This was a perfect place to stop on our way to Colorado. We would definitely stop here again.

Came to visit Family here in Dumas with my husband and after a thorough review of many hotel options i chose Best Western in Dumas, Tx. Upon arrival i was greeted by front desk clerk Natalie she was very nice. Check in was quick.. i had a room with 2 beds . All the employees who i encountered were very nice. It was very clean so was the rest of the hotel. Then i was pleasantly suprised with they're hot breakfast. I would definitely recommend to anyone and look forward to coming back and staying at the Best Western of Dumas, Tx.

The room was clean and comfortable, with the exception of the soiled carpet. The breakfast and its presentation was very good. The location to restaurants was convenient. Parking was ample and allowed parking for trucks.

I arrived late, but my room reservation was still being held (last king bed left on ground floor). The room was very nice and the bed was nice and firm and was not worn out with the typical hotel sway on the side of the bed from people sitting on it. I slept really well. To be honest, there was a small problem in the toilet, but the staff took care of it immediately and then went beyond the requirement to improve my stay. Really great ownership and management. The breakfast was outstanding. I was on the road and staying in different hotels for almost the whole month of July 2016. They provided one of the best breakfasts that I had during the whole trip. They provided a hot breakfast buffet and the food was very good.

the hotel is very convenient between Colorado and dallas. the staff is great and very friendly. the hotel is very clean and pet friendly. they give you a goody bag when you check in filled with water and snacks. the breakfast buffet is good.

This hotel was great for the price. The room we stayed in was very clean. The staff were very friendly. I had no complaints during my stay. After a long day on the road, this was a relaxing stop. We were able to walk to a few restaurants nearby.

Road trip to Colorado from Florida. Looking for pet friendly hotels. Travel with 2 little Yorkies. Usually stay at La Quinta's but the Best Westerns on this trip seem to have better rates. Our room was very comfortable and clean with a super great shower. 10 or 15$ pet fee (husband can't remember and he checked us in) $20 pet deposit which is refundable after an inspection at checkout. We passed the inspection after a really detailed inspection! Not much of an area for walking the dogs but the room was well worth the stay.

We have used this motel on every trip from Texas to Colorado and back for years. The staff have always been friendly and helpful. The rooms are always clean. The free breakfast is better than many. Unfortunately, the motel decor, furnishings, and bathrooms are showing their age. There are newer motels now in town. The owner needs to update this facility to complete with the newer motels.

Liked the convenience of parking by the door of the room. The room was clean and quiet. Comfortable bed. The breakfast was better than the typical free breakfast. Indoor pool looks nice. The staff was very accommodating, really made me feel like they appreciated my business. Would definitely stay again. No complaints.

There was a note left in the room that because of so much moisture that they had received recently, they have had an overabundance of bugs in the room. And they did. There were bugs everywhere except the bed -- thankfully.

We were in Amarillo at 1am and everything was booked due to a rodeo ???? So here I am traveling for our family ran business, wife and kids with me, 1 am and no where to go. I called around and thankfully the BestWestern in Dumas had one room left! We pulled in at 2am. They were ready for us. The front office person was super sweet and took care of us quickly. They even gave us a welcome bag (two bottles of water, bag of chips & and two packs of lance peanut butter crackers - my fav!). By 2:30am we were all crashed. Woke up at 8:50.... Breakfast ends at 9... I scramble. Heading to the lobby quickly. What do I find? Another kind sweet person working the breakfast bar. She say, "we leave it out a little longer on Sunday's." Yes!!! Everyone has been kind, courteous and professional! Indoor pool is nice. Lobby is nice. Rooms are nice! Love the experience! We will be back!

Very clean, great service, recently remodeled, awesome breakfast, economical. Pool was clean and they even had a steam room. No bikers. Quiet. Room didn't smell and sheets were new. Carpet was new. Great place for families to stay.

We were pleasantly surprised. The room & bathroom was spotless. The hotel & grounds were clean & maintained. The staff pleasant & helpful. Free brkfst. The only note of improvement would be pillows. Very lumpy. But overall pleasant stay. They offer AAA discount so their rate was better than most in town. Recommend

My husband and I stopped here on the way back home and didn't expect such a wonderful room... apparently the hotel has been renovated top to bottom...and it showed..but more importantly the staff was wonderful at check..and the breakfast..and to check out..you could tell the place is managed with pride. Thanks for a wonderful stay. We travel for business too so we see at lot of hotels..so consider this when reading this review..

Price was good, we just needed a place to sleep after hours of driving, Front desk staff was very nice at 2 a.m. The breakfast was very good and coffee was great (I may be biased....I was exhausted still...lol) The rooms were clean...beds might be a little hard for some, but not bad enough for me to think of complaining! Over all, a good place to stay.

Checked into this hotel as a stop over from Colorado Springs to Dallas. Wish I hadn't as there were at least 6 dead roaches in the room. The room smelled like some sort of weird medicine and there were empty water bottles and candy wrappers on the side of the bed (I guess housekeeping skipped this room). I was afraid to walk on the carpet in my bare feet. Take my advise and avoid this motel at all costs. I understand that this isn't a 5 star hotel, but I expect a room without roaches at the very least. I mean.... come on!!

It is very old and outdated. Best Western used to be a sign of quality. This motel is along the lines of a Budget hotel. Overpriced and worn out. Stained tub, chipped and peeling wood in bathroom. Could not close the bathroom door sitting on toilet it was that small. The air conditioner NEVER stopped making clanking, wheezing noise even when it cycled off. This continued unstopped all night long. I barely slept. Front desk never asked how our stay was so I guess I will let them know on Tripadvisor. The breakfast was good and the room was clean.

We have stayed here many times on or way to Colorado and feel like it's a great value. I like the town and what it has to offer and will plan to stay here in the future. I've never had problems with noise and have always had a good night's sleep.

We were inmost way back from Vail and needed a room because we were getting tired from driving through storms. It was the only room left in town. And it is OUTSTANDING! Great pillows and comfortable mattresses. There is cable tv, wi/fi and breakfast. Great stuff! We will stay here again in future road trips to and from Vail, Colorado.

We have had all excellent stays at this chain of motels. The staff is professional and customer service is tops! The continental breakfast is convenient as we like to get right back on the road in the mornings. Everything is always clean and it refreshes us to stay at the Best Western Motels.

This hotel has exterior entrances and we prefer interior, but otherwise everything was excellent. The pool area is especially nice. The variety of breakfast items was very good and the quality was first rate. The room was as nice as one could hope for and the internet service was great.

clean rooms...large rooms...comfy beds. spacious breakfast area and great food. Easy to get to even with traffic. Not far from dining places. Treat customer like they belong there. Handed out an appreciation bag with was wonderful. Loved the bottles of water

The Best western in Dumas, Texas has a 4 star rating. When we called to make a reservation, we were told there was one room left. We booked it. Big mistake! Room 223 is in an isolated part of the motel and close to the ice maker. The ice maker was extremely noisy causing us to face a long drive the next morning on very little sleep. In addition, the bathroom door jams and the person inside can not get out unless another person on the other side puts a shoulder to the door. It's as if it locks without engaging the locking mechanism. The pool contained the coldest and mirkiest water I've ever seen in a motel and the large ash tray with cigarette butts sitting out did not give the impression that the area was cleaned regularly or well maintained. We told the motel staff about the room problems and we were told they were working on some kind of compensation but we have not heard anything since we stayed there the night of May 9th. We have no idea what the rest of the motel was like and it might be fine but our advise is to ask questions prior to booking.

years ago this hotel was just okay, now it's be updated and very nicely done. no complaints and will stay here again when this is our route of travel. we were given a little parcel containing bottles of water-snack crackers-chips. this was a very nice surprise after a long drive day.

We used the Best Western in Dumas, Texas as we traveled through on business. It was a late night stay and the staff was extremely accommodating and helped us get situated even though it was around 3am in the morning. We needed a handicapped room, which they had, and were able to get both of our rooms fairly close. It was very clean and the beds felt like a dream at 3am! The quarters are a little tight for a wheelchair but they had all the necessary grab bars. We did have to move the bed over so one could get off the wheelchair but it was easily done. For a quick stay, it was clean and the staff was wonderful.

Nice to stay will stay again! Comfy clean. Good breakfast. Hot tub and pool were great! Staff was welcoming and friendly. Good price for budgets and discounts for AARP and best Western member. WiFi connection is good.

A good clean, friendly place to stop between long drives. They provided us with a thank you bag with water and goodies, and we're helpful. The pool was great and the beds were very comfortable. I will stay here again next time through

I love this hotel. I've stayed many times over the past 10 years on trips between Colorado Springs and Ft. Worth. And this time I had my grandkids! Texas waffles and a full breakfast bar are great. And a wonderful swimming pool and hot tub.

So helpful. So nice. Great food. Nice clean rooms. Amazing indoor pool and hottub with a sauna! They gladly took us in after the econo lodge was so gross and disrespectful! I will definitely be staying here again next time im in town!!!:)

This hotel is beautiful and updated. Has a wonderful staff who go above and beyond to ensure your stay is comfortable. If you visit this hotel you must try out the beautiful pool and Jacuzzi! If I am ever in Dumas, TX again I will for sure stay at this property!

Stayed one night on our way back from Wyoming. Looks to be a new hotel or a very new remodel from a different brand. Was able to get the type of room we wanted at a very reasonable rate. Office staff was very friendly and accommodating. Our room was spacious and very clean and comfortable. Would definitely stay here again. Highway traffic would somewhat loud but most the hotels in Dumas are on the highway so you would probably experience the same noise level at these. There was also a full hot breakfast in the morning, not just coffee and danish.

I was in a car accident up the road and all the employees were very kind and helpful with the locations of the services I needed to get me back home and even accommodated my loyal dog. In a time of need they helped me when I was feeling hopeless.

While visiting family in Texas. I had a meeting which I would not have been able to make because of flat tire. The maintenance gentleman brought to my attention trying to get a compressor to remedy, not having this he talked with front desk who recommended coffey tire they called them and they came to the hotel filled my tire (no charge). The front desk person saw my concern to get to my meeting and graciously gave me a ride to the meeting and was there when I was finished! Way beyond good service in my opinion heartfelt. Coffey tire fixed my tire with a very reasonable price and fast service. The room was comfortable and clean having everything I needed The pool and hot tub looked nice and the breakfast was full of options.

Fair rate. Friendly staff. Clean room. Direct door to outside from room. Deep pool. Steamy hot tub and sauna. Yummy breakfast. Parking lot was easy maneuver and park the pick up and trailer. Thank you!

We had been driving all day & it was 8 pm when we arrived, very tired & ready to relax. The staff was pleasant & helpful in getting us checked & we were given a goody bag of waters, crackers & chips. I foolishly booked a smoking room & even though the staff offered to change rooms for us, I declined since it was nippy & my husband smokes a pipe. The smell was awful. There were cigarette burns in the bedspread, which was unsightly but I assume they don't want to waste a new one to get burn holes in again (which I understand). On getting to our room, there was a huge oil truck (?) in the parking lot blocking all traffic so we had to wait for them to finish whatever they were doing to get a parking space. (I know it isn't the hotels fault, and no we did not report it to the desk). There were flies in the room, seemed every time we killed one 2 more would appear. But the bed was comfortable & the water pressure was the best we've ever experienced in any hotel.

We stopped at the Best Western in the early evening without a reservation. Vera greeted very nicely and efficiently. We have a dog so many hotels reject you immediately. But, Vera told us that BW accepts dogs but there is a $15 fee. There is also a $20 deposit put on your credit card but it is removed in the morning (of course, you can't do any damage to the room). AARP and AAA discounts are available too. Vera gave us a room on the first floor which is very helpful if you have dog. The doors exit to the parking area. This, too, is great if you have to walk your dog early in the morning. Breakfast is offered with eggs, bread, rolls, waffles, juice, yoghurt, etc. Our room was large with clean furniture and no smell of chemicals or smoke. Despite its location on the highway, our room was quiet. Had a great night's sleep and ready to hit the road for the next leg of our trip.

This Best Western is a fine stop on the way from Denver to Dallas - basically right in the middle. We rolled in kind of late, but the desk clerk was incredibly pleasant for that time of night. She even gave us a "goodie bag" with some vending machine snacks and water bottles, which I thought was a nice touch. The room was a typical room, but was nice and clean. Breakfast was fine, not exotic mind you, but for a stop on the road, a very pleasant overnight.

Clean, comfortable, but a bit overpriced for a one-night stay. . No discounts offered. Long wait for check-in. Didn't use pool or hot tub because room is open to lobby. Would prefer a bit more privacy.

Our room was nice and clean with comfy beds. During our stay we were able to enjoy the pool which was very clean. The breakfast was amazing with several options! This will definitely be our "go to" hotel when we're in town.

The internet price said $63.20 USD. This and the reviews stating it was a clean room are why I booked. I asked for a medical rate, was told they'd see what they can do, and booked two weeks in advance. We checked in on September 3rd to a $94.92 room with the supposed medical discount! I understand taxes aren't listed on the website, but this is a huge discrepancy! Fortunately my surgery wasn't until the next day because we were put on the second floor, again wouldn't be an issue except the whole medical reason... Some of the work crews who were also staying there decided 10:00 pm is the ideal time to sit outside and curse each other out. Plus side the rooms were clean, and would have been right for $63.20, but a toilet that runs all night, and loud neighbors aren't as easily overlooked for almost $100.00!

This was an awesome hotel. The room was clean, the bed was great, and the staff could not have been nicer. The indoor pool was clean and both the pool and the hot tub had power lifts for the handicapped, and they worked without any hassle.

Really enjoyed staying here, it was clean and quiet and every aspect of our stay was nice. Check in was friendly and quick, got a goody bag that was welcome, the room was well appointed and comfortable, the breakfast was delicious and appreciated. Would recommend this motel to anyone traveling through Dumas.
