Best Western Inn of Del Rio

Thankfully we only stayed one night. The motel is located on a busy street and since it's a motel the room is quite noisy. Bring a good pair of ear plugs if you decide to stay here. Front desk staff could use training in friendliness. The person checking is in didn't even look up at us, just asked for licence and credit card from behind her screen. As part of our benefits we were supposed to get a free bottle of water and when I asked she said she could charge it to my room. Really not the biggest issue, but compounded with everything else, it's just another thing to annoy me. The room itself is large and clean enough, what you would expect from best western standards. Come morning we go down to breakfast and the TV is blaring with Fox News. I know we are in Texas, but people screaming their opinions on TV is not what I want to hear first thing in the morning. I ask the front desk person (different person than at check in) if it could be changed and she said a guest requested that channel. I asked about putting something neutral on, like weather or food channels and she responded “it's best western policy, sorry.” Whatever, so I'm not a guest or just not important enough to them. Taking my food to my room. Personally, I would not stay again. The rooms were just okay, the noise is an issue, and the front desk staff didn't help to make it pleasant. Furthermore, if it is really best western policy to treat certain people differently based on their political beliefs then no more Best Westerns period.

This hotel was a nice surprise after a long day of travel. It is an older hotel that is thoroughly and the room was huge! Clean and comfy...would definitely stay again. Place is well cared for and it was quiet.

Old property with two floors. Room doors open onto parking lot. The parking lots and sidewalks need maintenance. The room was large and clean. It had a couch, desk, microwave, refrigerator and king size bed. The room was clean. The mattress was soft. The A/C blows onto the bed, wall and back on the bed. The sink faucet spurts water and drans slowly. The commode lid falls down without warning. The breakfast was good. No granola. The afternoon desk clerk was professional and helpful. The woman in the morning was dour. The fitness room was smallish. The water machine was broken, the treadmill didn't work and there were no floor mats in addition to the rubberized floor. The location is on the main drag. Road noise was high until after 11 PM.

I had left this on another page but overall rooms need to be updated, their were various spots/stains noted on carpet and towels handed out, various areas that work had been done covered up by furniture and mess left when trying to find plugs outlets you find this, various stains on walls, ironing board cover looked liked somebody took it outside stomped it in the mud ran it over with a car and then placed it back on the ironing board. Overall I feel for the money I could have stayed at a better place, company had a discounted rate but they recently increased the amount of our discount so I am going to ask our HR to start looking at other hotels for discounts!

Best Westerns stands on the name BEST. The staff are very polite and professional the rooms are so clean not like others with roaches. I love Best Western. The Breakfast lots to choose, swimming pools sparkling clean.

Great location and friendly staff. Room was very clean and in great shape. Breakfast was great and a good selection to choose from. We stayed on the first floor 103 close to breakfast. Will go here again!!!

My husband and dog stayed three nights in Del Rio at the Best Western over the Thanksgiving holiday. We booked with a great rate and had a good experience. Pros: convenient location, clean rooms, friendly staff, well-kept property, good coffee, DPS and firefighters stay here and well-stocked breakfast buffet. Cons: the location is very busy, lots of folks that stay are in and out all night and the building is an old-fasioned motor inn formation.

Gabriel at check in was very helpful and did thank me for being a loyalty member. Good pillows. Clean room. Good water pressure in the shower. Large refrigerator with freezer compartment. Spacious room. Standard egg and sausage "hot breakfast" items, plus continental breakfast items. It was a little noisy in the early evening with hot rod drivers making noise on the street outside. But, as noted by the staff, stuff in the car is safe - we have a lot of DPS officers stay here.

Hotel is older, but its clean with rooms that are large. Nice big screen TV sets. Cons constant drag racing every night and Del Rio Police do nothing about it. That is only Con I have. Pool is clean and closed in. For Del Rio its one of the better hotels!

The staff in front desk ,breakfast ,and yard maintenance crew very friendly and professional Swimming pool always clean and right temp. The swimming pool is awesome same is the breakfast lots of choice the staff always making sure you are comfortable and attentive

Nice big rooms and comfortable, but the sheets were obviously old and rough. The walls and doors are thin, so you can hear everything, including the road noise, but mostly a good stay. Typical hotel breakfast.

My stay at Best Western was a good stay. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, and our room was was very clean. During our stay, the weather was very cold, and the heaters in the room kept our room at a comfortable level. It was great.

The hotel was good and offered us exactly what we needed after spending many hours on the road. Additionally, both my wife and our furry babies were comfortable, so we were able to get a good night's rest.

This may not be the newest hotel in town, but they are the BEST. Rooms are clean and well kept. Ground floor rooms provide easy in & out if you have a lot of gear. The front desk staff is super helpful and went out of their way to make sure our crew had what we needed during the week of the Haitian migrant crisis when rooms across the city were booked to capacity. I stayed here two years ago on a road trip to Big Bend with some friends from Europe and this place was nice then…. It even better now. My only suggestion would be to please bring back the Texas shaped Waffle maker! Thank you for everything, Best Western Del Río & Mary. We'll be back.

Upstairs room reserved by mistake. Requested ground floor room due to physical handicap. Same lower rate was not honored and was going to be charged double. With no refund or reasonable rate offered, I had to go elsewhere! Shame, considering I'm a Diamond Select Rewards Member with Best Western.

The hotel was terrible. Old and run-down. The front lobby staff had no clue as what was going on. The only reason we liked it and stayed was there were about 20 Texas Highway Patrol cars parked there. We figured with that presence, we were safe.

A great place to stay unfortunately I got here late so I wasn't able to enjoy the pool which would have been great. Check in quick and easy the room itself very spacious and comfortable everything you need is there lots of parking very comfortable. It's nice to actually have breakfast at a hotel again instead of the grab and go you can sit peacefully enjoy breakfast you are served but it's nice to see that life is getting better. You have a short walk from hotel restaurants from steakhouse Mexican and the usual fast food restaurants.

Check in was smooth with friendly and helpful staff. Room was clean, bathroom was clean. AC a bit loud. Good TV. The room was quiet and bed not lumpy. Easy parking and good access from car to room. Good eating places near by.

This motel was not what I expected from online pictures. This is a 1960s-70s motel recently remodeled. All rooms open to either a parking lot or a city street. Rooms are larger than average. Furnishings are up to date and paint, flooring and bathroom fixtures are new. Rooms are clean. Water pressure not so good. Tub/shower combo with very slick tub. Look for the no slip mat, you will want it, it's in a not so obvious place (towel rack). Employees are polite and efficient. Lots of street noise. Neighborhood looks a little sketchy but no obvious problems.

This was a very nice hotel. They were professional, the rooms were clean and comfortable. They even had a nice breakfast. We really enjoyed our stay there. Would stay there again! Price was reasonable, as well.

Friendly staff, clean spacious rooms, being a female staying alone - they made sure I was safe, the gym is in a safe location - although it's small , it had the equipment I use, breakfast is a full breakfast and it's good!

The room are so clean and the staff all are extremely friendly. Swimming pool is the best so is the breakfast. We just got the ICE contract and I will be visiting Del Rio more so Best western will be my choice

I had a room with one king bed and a sofabed and asked for linens and was told I couldn't get none because laundry room was closed that I had to request them at the time of reservation I didn't know that so my son had to sleep in the sofa without sheets and to top it off next door people were very loud you could hear everything going on in the next room. I wasn't happy at all. Breakfast was horrible I had a waffle and it tasted like something was bad. I should of reported it but I didn't I just threw it away.

Our room was clean and spacious. The AC was okay. It was mostly as good as we expected for a pet-friendly hotel. The fridge in room and amenities such as shampoo and conditioner were nice. The lobby and breakfast area are clean and the staff are mindful of Covid safety measures. The owner's residence across the breezeway had a bag of trash just sitting there when we arrived. Our door fit too tightly in its jamb, so we had to shove it hard to open and close effectively. There is absolutely no grass on the property, so if you bring your dog, you'll need to walk down the road to give your pet a grassy area.

Great place, staff very friendly, knowledgeable staff, and parking was simple ,asked questions about local restaurants that were open , she made recommendation of restaurants that were open. It is nice when people help out people from out of town

Came to Del Rio at the beninning of a river trip down the Devils River. Extremly clean room, polite and proffesional staff, easy check in and out process. Have been there many times and I will not stay anywhere else in Del Rio.

The property is on a business street on one side and residential area behind it. The room was nice and clean. The beds we comfortable.and everything else was fine. They have a full breakfast with many choices. I would definitely stay here again.

Booked here after discovering there isn't a Marriott within 50mi. Turned out to be a great place. Good-sized rooms, nice staff, clean, decent workout room. Don't usually review hotels on here unless there's some kind of an issue, but these guys deserve the shout-out. As an aside, while the breakfast here is fine, walk to the back of the hotel and turn Left - literally adjoining the property is Chinto's Tacos- you can't miss with their food - the breakfast burrito was awesome...

poor unclean room with cockroach for the price, front desk offered 94.40 dollars per night for 5 nights during booking but charged variable rate over $100 at checout, a dishonest business, stay away..

Del Rio in my mind is the very biginning of the true WEST TEXAS area of the state and this property has been overhauled during the last few years to a very nice upgrade on an older property that is quaint, nostalgic, and very cozy feeling especially on the East side. The next major town to the west is Sanderson, 120 miles away, which is nothing unusual in the big open western side of the state. That is the major reason I say the titele given. Everything here is up to standards in the BW family, nice large screen TV, Pool, Nice bath linens, AC that works well/heat too at this time of year, breakfast has many choices and is just a tad over standard with some extra offerings, really comfortable bed, fridge WITH freezer, micro, and coffee maker. I miss the old bath fixtures that were of different colors but in corporate wisdom were traded out for all white. The colors I had seen in past visits were Green, Pink, blue, and a light brown, REALLY brought me back to my youthful years! Oh well, upwards and onwards, right? VERY friendly staff and do very well assisting guests. Stop in and as you pull into the covered drive, the peaceful feeling comes over you in the shaded drive, it just gets better from there! Stop in, launch into the western and lake from here.

We wanted to stay here but needed two beds on the ground floor. When we shoed up they had our room ready, as hoped. Nice and clean. Not generally a fan of "breakfast included" places but it was actually OK. Nice yoghurt and the frest fruit was ripe.

Every employee are very friendly and professional. The pool is super clean and the rooms smell fresh and clean. The front clerk lady was very friendly says good morning and mean it. The exercise room is new and has top of the line equipment

This was the first stop on our 2019 Road Trip West. The Best Western Inn of Del Rio is a beautifully maintained hotel with friendly helpful staff. The king room was huge. We had a wonderful stay. We highly recommend staying here if you ever visit Del Rio and need a comfortable, clean room at a reasonable price!!!

The lady at the front desk does not care about customers. She will immediately threaten if you don't do exactly as you are supposed to. They don't want breakfast taken to the rooms. If you try, she will say you can leave anytime you want. We spoke with the manager to no avail. The rooms aren't bad for what you pay, but the treatment you get isn't worth it. Pass this one up.

This was a decent hotel in a town I was not crazy about. I was in town for work and the staff was very welcoming and accommodating. They took care of me in a stressful situation and I appreciate very much the way I was greeted and treated. The room was large and the bed was comfy. The hotel is pretty basic, but ran well and given the fact that they were 100% booked I was pleased.

I had a stay on the second floor and had to walk up flights of stairs with my luggage to get to my room. These rooms have outdoor entrances and the walkways were filthy and even saw some blood on the walkway. My room was in process of being upgraded I think. My room ceiling had water damage so there was evidence of mold and moisture on the ceiling. It was concerning to me as I am allergic to mold. The room needed a good cleaning but this hadn't happened yet. I did not feel safe here although the desk clerk assured me it was a safe neighborhood. It was all and all a very poor place to stay and I would avoid it in the future. I stayed with a tour so was unable to make a decision to go to a different hotel or I would have in a different town perhaps.

Clean, nice big rooms, comfortable bed and a good breakfast included. The lobby was being remodeled, they emptied out a room and moved the breakfast into it. Good motel breakfast, waffles, eggs, sausage, cereal, fruit etc. We would definitely stay there again.

This is actually nicer than the place we normally stay. Unfortunately I could not get a room at The Ramada Inn for whatever reason, but this was a nice alternative. The rooms are big and comfortable. All the amenities are here. The property is close to an HEB and a few restaurants within walking distance. The outside looks good too. They are renovating the lobby, so don't be fooled. All together a nice place. I would stay here again.

Thius BW property has always been where I get a friendly greeting upon arrival. Rooms are large and inviting with large TV and comfy bed. Other room amenities are standard with coffee maker, refridgerator WITH a freezer, micro wave, ironing board, and very nice bath linens. Always feel like this is my home away from home when here and my west Texas jumping off point. Location has that old fashioned cozy appeal that I prefer in a hotel. Stop on in for your overnight location going East or West, it is a good drive to anywhere in both directions.

This could be a five star hotel with recent renovations being done, painting was almost done,but the noise from the locals speeding by at night , ruined our sleep, a.c. was very noisy, not sure what was worse, staff is great and breakfast exceptional!

Hello travers, A few of us friends got together in Del rio, Tx an some stayed at the best western of del rio, a ok place to stay for a visit. Rooms was mostly clean, towels clean, beds clean an comfy, bathroom could use some maintenance an up dating. Ask for a inside parking an room not street side as it was a little noisy an walls thin, you can hear everything outside an on street side. Everything worked in room but again could use more detail to the cleaning an maintenance. People running it was very nice, we did not eat breakfast as we went to skillet restaurant, was a good breakfast, also we ate at don Marciano restaurant a block over also was good. The rate for me was a little hi end for what the room was, more like a $59 or $69 room not a $99 room but i was splitting it an the location was good. I would recommend this place but check the room as always to see it's up to your standards.

We always stay at the Best Western when in Del Rio. Excellent place!!! Staff is friendly and helpful. Always clean and wonderful breakfast. Perfect location when traveling across the border. Very safe place.

we were in del rio with our projet team over night , our reservation was made with other big name hotel in town but some reason why we had to move at this beautiful hotel. guess what we found , rooms were great, beds, carpet, bathroom and breakfast has so many options for the price we paidwe recommend this hotel to everyone looking at reasonable price with good value rather than paying more than 100 bucks elsewhere!

very decent hotel for the price , clean room new look with nice breakfast, good wifi signal. good location in and out everything nearby . we checked in late after midnight and they allowed us to checkout late. excellent staff very efficient

First I couldn't get into my room. The desk person came and opened the door, but didn't go in. When I turned the lights on, I found a key card and someone's shoes on the side of the bed. I called the front desk person and he came back. To see what I was complaining about. He then assigned me another room, but it wasn't the same room I had originally booked. Also I was never greeted as a member nor did I get my extra bonus points or offered a snack

This is a really nice and congenial hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the room clean and well appointed with an extremely comfortable king bed. The location was excellent. I'd rate the hotel a 4.5 out 5. The weather was hot and humid and the lobby with complimentary breakfast buffet was quite warm and stuffy. Maybe the a/c wasn't working properly. (The a/c in our room was in perfect working order.) The breakfast offerings were average. Otherwise, I would have rated the hotel a 5.

very good hotel with nicely remodel rooms, new beds, new carpet and modern bathroom, this place has a very good staff always smiling and welcoming, this was our second trip to the hotel, they do offer a complimentry hot breakfast with lots of variety

I book my rooms online and upon arrival my check inn is really fast and easy especially after a long day at work I want to just get to my room and rest and the staff at this best western in del rio make possible. The rooms are nice and fresh and so quiet cant see myself staying anywhere else

The king room was very large and quite insulated - heard no noise from the outside or other rooms. The bathroom had new floor and wall tiles. The front desk staff were very professional. Some issues include the pillow covers being dirty, sink drain not working, hair on bathroom floor, no hooks in bath area to hang clothes, and no place to set soap or shampoo in the shower.

The rooms are super clean the whole staff are very professional especially the front desk lady. The swimming pool is always sparkling clean. The staff Mary and Danny are awesome make you feel like home and part of the family.

First time at this Best Western Hotel, I personally didn't like it, the building is too old and needs a lot of maintenance. Rooms are outside and bugs come into the rooms. Breakfast was below average, needs more variety.

we stayed at this hotel when we were in del rio, our room was so clean and fresh, our room has all the amenities like refri/micro, hair dryer, coffee makers, iron and nice shower bed was so good and comfy , internet work good and they also offer a free hot breakfast

The hotel looks old on the outside and I assumed it was gonna be a roach motel but I was wrong lol. The room was huge, everything inside was modern. The pool was really clean, the parking lot was immaculate. The breakfast was a hot breakfast and not just coffee and cereal. The internet was fast and free. Overall I enjoyed my stay and will definitely stay there again if I'm ever back in Del Rio

A group of five of us stayed here on a cross country cycle trip. Hotel is a typical motel type, big rooms, good breakfast included. What set it apart from was the service from the manager/owner. There is no laundry room, and the laundromat across street was temporarily closed, so manager offered to do all our washing! And provided bike cleaning rags. Great place!

First time there. Good reception, good breakfast only the street noise is a minus. A plus is the central location. Pool good for a dip but rather small given the hotel size. Recommended more for business travelers than families.

Well the rooms have been sort of refurbished, but the ac cannot really cool the room during the heat of the day. Worse, I was at risk of severe injury twice. First, I leaned back in the desk chair while making a phone call, and it just kept going back. This has never happened to me in any hotel. Fortunately, I was able to catch myself before dangerously hitting the floor. The next morning, I tried to use the hair dryer, (mounted on the bathroom wall), and it immediately began sparking and smoking. At least the management had kept it unplugged. And finally the vending machine ate my change, no biggie, and the desk guy gave me my money back, but said “they were supposed to have fixed that.” Overall the property was much sketchier than the recent reviews suggest. Don't do what I did, spend the extra $30-$$40 in Del Rio and avoid have a more pleasant night.

This appears to be an older property which has been upgraded to include refurbished rooms and bath. This is the type of place where one can still park ones car outside the door to the room. The staff was nice and breakfast was provided. The king bed was comfortable as was the sofa.

Our motorcycle group booked a stay for April 25. We were greeted warmly by hotel staff who made check-in a breeze and even offered us tags to wipe the bikes down. The rooms were spacious, very clean, and updated. Beds were very comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful the entire stay. Breakfast was a hot meal as well as continental breakfast options. I definitely recommend this mortal.

A typical 2 storey motel with external access rooms. However the rooms are enormous and fully equipped Extremely clean. The management were more than happy to do our washing at NO cost. A splendid hotel with super nice staff

this hotel has been changed a lot with new upgrades like bathrooms, carpet, furniture, beds. why spent more money somewhere else, this hotel has a good value with nice hot breakfast, clean and spacious rooms, will definitely stay here again during our trip to del rio!

My wife and I biking from San Diego to Florida and mostly camping. But after two very long days fighting powerful headwinds we struggled into Del Rio and decided on a motel. The owner gave us a good price, gave us rags for cleaning bike chains and even did our laundry at no charge when the laundromat across the street was unexpectedly closed. The rooms were spacious and well kept and stocked. We had room for the bikes and to unload and reorganize all our equipment. The showers and bathrooms were very clean. The hot breakfast was great: scrambled eggs, sausage, biscuits, bagels, pastries...fruit, waffles, juices, yogurts..... This was one of the most accommodating places we've stayed. Great place for anyone but especially great for bicyclists...

Every time I come to town I always stay at the BW, the staff are always good to me, they always have me ready and always put me in the same location which I love, they know me and they take great care in response to me needs. Thanks Guys

Del Rio was our stop over between Gulf Coast and Big Bend. Really good value. From the outside looked like a dated motel, but rooms were better than expected. Breakfast was usual fare on paper plates with plastic cutlery. Nevertheless good value.

this hotel was the best we found on our way to big bend national park, clean room , comfortable bed, good shower what else you could ask for while you are away from home! we recommend this hotel while you are in del rio tx

I've stayed elsewhere in Del Rio with a bar in the hotel, and it gets a little rowdy. I stayed here for a week on business, and it had everything I needed. Clean, cheap, and rather quiet on the parking lot side. Bathroom recently done over with modern tile look. A/C was a bit noisy, but not uncommon when traveling. Great deal in my opinion.

We tend to seek out B&Bs but for just one night we tried this. Was all good. Clean. Easy in and out. Heater glitches but staff came immediately and got us running. Only warning is that if you travel with bikes on the rook don't go in the front entrance. It is low. But really. Good place.

we had a very nice stay at this hotel! looks like they just have completed renovation, new bathroom, new carpet, new furniture, we had rent 6 rooms and all of us were very happy we all had a good night sleep after a long drive. in the morning lady kept the breakfast bar open till late because of us, and kids were happy to have a hot waffle! thank you for that

As. A reward member i book a room at this hotel twice a year for me and my parents when traveling from California to Mexico. Past experienced where great, sadly i cannot say the same this time. There was roaches in room #230 and a hole in the ceiling. We notified staff member Joseph who was not of much help. I later called and spoked with Christine she wasn't able to give back any type of refund or discount but would Notify her supervisor to contact me. Second day and still have not received a call back sadly i wont be reserving here again!!

perfect place to stay in Del Rio, TX. good size bed, nice tv newly room, very good location within walking distance to some nice Mexican restaurants, good breakfast with some hot items that extra value, lots of people were in breakfast room but the lady was keep feeling up the items!

I come to del rio once a month and choose this hotel cause you get a good value for the price. Hot breakfast fast internet and clean rooms are the reason why i choose to stay at this hotel. And its centrally located

very nice hotel in del rio tx. the room are very spacious probably the most spacious from all the other hotels i have ever stayed in. the breakfast is really good. also another reason why we stay here. i stay here once or twice a year and everytime i check in the hotel owner always remembers me by my name. I will keep staying there

Del Rio BW inn is a quaint hotel with one side having the feeling of security and homy, and the other side feels like a wild side next to an active street. Guess which one I like, yep the quiet secluded style side, quite right! This property has all the amenities you have come to expect from a tidy, well run location. Great service, a friendly inn keeper and brand new bathrooms and hence the absence of nostalgia, there used to be those bath fixtures of different colors like brown, blue, green etc. like in the 50's and 60's, I really liked those, but now they are WHITE, really white! Breakfast is good, rooms are spacious with split areas for living room and bed comfort is just great, nice big TV, good bath linens, fridge (with a freezer), micro wave, and what else do you need? NIce location to explore the Devil's River Valley, Kickapoo caverns, and other points west with day trips. Stop in, it is also reasonably priced.

I always stay @ BWI, diamond level, but the road noise at this location is disturbing, the door needs better seals to help eliminate the road noise. Wish I could say I would stay here again, sadly that will not happen because of the road noise in the room.

The stay was excellent all is very clean. The front desk employee very cheerful and happy to accommodate. made you feel at home The cleaning ladies should learn to smile and be happy. No one was disrespectful just not cheerful like the front desk guy, Life is beautiful. We shoud be happy to have a job and be alive

This Best Western is located on the main street with close access to many restaurants located nearby and the international bridge to Cd. Acuna, Mexico. It is reasonably priced, has comfortable beds, and is clean inside and outside. The staff is friendly and ready to help, 24-7. I stay here whenever i come to Del Rio.

I have to concur with a previous review I had read about the location being motorcycle friendly. I was not sure from the pictures if you could park on the interior section where the pool is but the answer is yes. We received an interior facing room where we could park our bikes right outside the door. There were 4 other bikes when we arrived.

Great room, great shower, great wifi. Nice and clean. Obviously been refurbished. Good breakfast lots of choice. Clean pool and pool area but just too close to road making the area a bit noisy. Only real issues were the bedside lamp and socket didn't work and some building/maintenance work started a bit too early near to our room but I guess they need to start early as its hot. Otherwise no problem recommending this place.

Room and motel clean and fresh, inside and out. Recently remodeled and updated. Checked in late, after midnight, and night clerk was kind, courteous and professional. Fresh coffee had just been made. Room was great, comfortable and quiet.. Bed slept very comfortably and was firm. New carpet and paint . This is 4th time we have stayed at this motel and each time service has been exemplary; caring owner/operator and staff has all been excellent and attentive to detail. Positively rate them as excellent and completely satisfied.

We stayed here for two nights. The rooms are very clean and the staff is friendly and helpful. It is located at the main road of Del Rio where you can find plenty of restaurants and shops. The breakfast is for free with toast, eggs, yoghurt etc.

We were very pleased with the price and the quality of the rooms. The rooms were very clean and the beds very comfortable. The bathrooms had been very nicely remodeled. The breakfast had a good selection and was very good.

I'm a regular at this hotel when I come to Del Rio, tx the management staff is always friendly to me, they always treat me right, they always give me a great rate when I stay , the rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable and relaxing, I would recommend this to anyone traveling to Del Rio to stay for work or pleasure. The rooms are big,the pool is small, the breakfast is OK,but they don't have a microwave?? Think cold biscuits and sweets. The front desk person takes care of the food, so if he is busy, they run out of stuff. Eggs and 2% milk our first day.

I have stayed at this best western multiple times and it truly surprises me how clean, comfortable and updated the facility is. I feel very safe staying here and the rooms have newer carpet and furniture. Seems like this hotel is always updating. Nice and comfortable to stay. Very reasonably priced also.

Excellent large room, friendly staff. Very good hot breakfast in large roomy dining room. Able to watch the morning news while drinking coffee. WiFi connectivity very good and the bed was comfortable.

Del Rio's BW property is constantly evolving since I have started staying there. It has been constantly upgrading and improving with every visit. It is a snug older property neatly tucked into a corner on the busy US 90 going through town and shows its age only through the architecture, a pool, nice TV, comfy bed, and half the rooms newly remodeled of which I have only one complaint; and that is the fact that the old nostalgic bath fixtures have been replaced with modern updated solid white fixtures, I really liked the old brown, green, blue, and such colored fixtures. If you are looking for reproductions of this type call them they are not reproductions! Staff is very friendly and accommodating, bath linens are nice but a little small on the bath towel, works though, disappointed to see new fridge did not have a freezer. I carry food with me that needs to be kept cool and I like the freezer to re-freeze my travel ice bottles. Stop in, take a step back in time and imagine the old giant station wagons in the parking lot which by the way is plentiful, a reasonable rate awaits you as well. Travel West Texas!!

Outside was kinda scary. Inside was nice and newly remodeled. Staff was very nice. Area around hotel is very old and run down. Need to seal doors better we had crickets coming in to the door hope nothing else came in

A friend and I spent the night at the Best Western. The staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms were not fancy, but everything was in working order and very clean. The bed were extremely comfortable and the swimming pool looked great although we did not get a chance to use it. The breakfast did not have a lot of variety, but the food was tasty and plentiful. A nice place and located near everything you might need.

Gave new meaning to the term roach motel. Room was not clean (floors, toilet, and microwave). About half of the lamps and outlets did not work. Cereal containers at breakfast were not clean. Made me wonder if the sheets were actually clean. Spend a few dollars more and get a better hotel. That's what I tried to do, unfortunately the other hotel was full.

We stay here on every trip West. The hotel has a nice, small pool and a well stocked free breakfast that includes waffles. Beds are doubles, not queens, but comfortable. Management are polite and hotel is well run.

Very clean! Bathroom needs updates, but room was great. Mattress comfortable, maybe get better pillows. Staff very friendly and helpful. Great location. Would recommend this hotel. Saw kids enjoying the pool.

Best western in Del Rio make you feel like home staff is extremely friendly the rooms are super clean and breakfast is awesome the swimming Pool is very nice and clean we had a bad storm one night and the swimming pool got very dirty and the very next day the staff made sure the swimming pool was clean and water clear

The owners and staff have worked hard to make this a special hotel with a personal touch, and they have succeeded. The room was large and comfortable. We especially loved the motel's location relatively near Amistad Park.

This is an older motel, rooms open to the parking lot instead of to an interior hallway. Sometimes I actually prefer this arrangement, easier to get luggage into the room. One standout feature of this motel is that the rooms are larger than usual.

Couldn't be better. Very comfortable, clean room. Good comfortable bed. and speedy internet. Very quiet, never even heard any cars. Best breakfast we have ever had at a BW. This suvery wants more words but I am not adding un-needed superlatives. Will always stay here when passing thru.

As always, treated with friendliness and courtesy. Danny always receives us like family coming to visit. We love the central location, the large rooms, and amenities such as mini fridge, blow dryer, iron and board, free internet and now more spacious bathrooms! Thanks to Danny and his wife, we always feel very welcome!

We stayed on our way to Belize, and then again on our way back to Alberta. We, including our dog Ceiba, felt very much at home right from check in, which was quick and easy. The owners and staff were very kind and helpful. The hotel was easy to find and is located on the road to/from the border. Our room was on the ground floor, with parking right outside the room. The room was spacious, airy and clean. The beds were very comfy. Great shower with lots of hot water. Breakfast was just right for hitting the road. There are numerous restaurants within walking distance, and there is a Sanborn Insurance Agency just down the road. We will definitely stay at BW Inn of Del Rio again. Thank you for your hospitality!

This hotel has been real good to us. However it has a few stains on the floor but the rooms are bug free and the beds comfortable. The staff is polite and I have stayed here in the past. Try this place out when you are in Del Rio.

I come to Del Rio, Tx and always stay at the Best Western of Del Rio, the staff is always nice and they always have me ready for my room ever time, the rooms are clean and the breakfast food is always fresh, I would recommend to anyone traveling to Del Rio, Texas

One of the older Best Westerns, we stayed the night on the way to Big Bend. The room looked ok (but don't look too closely behind the furniture). We slept well in a clean comfortable bed but the bathroom was pretty small. Efficient staff.

My family and I stayed at this motel recently while visiting Seminole Canyon State Park. The room looked freshly decorated and was spacious! Everything worked well, and the room was clean. Had a great night's sleep in the comfortable bed. The front desk staff were cordial and helpful. The breakfast tacos weren't fancy, but sure hit the spot. I would definitely stay here again.

Nice hotel at a reasonable price. We only stayed one night on our way to Big Bend, but we would stay there again. Hot breakfast was very good. They even had breakfast tacos. A first for us at these types of breakfasts in hotels.

I have been staying at Best Western in Del Rio, TX since 2013. I will not even consider staying anywhere else. They have the most comfortable beds and the cleanest rooms! I love their breakfast they serve each morning and their swimming pool is so nice to take a plunge in when the sun is so hot! Take my word for it, stay at the Best Western in Del Rio, TX. You wont be disappointed!

We stopped at this BW before driving to Big Bend National Park, so I had planned to do my laundry here. At the time of booking, the website said that there was a laundry, as did the in room map when we arrived. So I was a little taken aback when I could not find the laundry! I asked at reception and the laundry had been taken out 2 years ago, so that was a surprise. I was very pleased that they offered to do my laundry for me, for which I was very grateful, especially as the Park had a drought and the laundry was not open. So, the staff were very helpful and pleasant, the room was comfortable, as was the bed. Standard BW breakfast, with the addition of egg and bacon burritos. They do need to do something about the plug in the bath, as the water leaked out of the plug hole. The water pressure from the basin taps was terrible, as was the Wifi. The room had a safe.

I have stayed at this best western several times. The rooms are larger than most hotels. The decor in the rooms is a little outdated, but the bed is very comfortable. Rooms are always clean. Breakfast is always great. Beautiful lobby and great people throughout. You should enjoy this place

The room was very nice and quiet we could not hear the traffic. As a best rewards ride member they gave us water and a snack and offered us rags to wipe down our bikes and told us where to find our rooms

The owner of this hotel is very nice. He was accommodating for every request, and I appreciated the service. They are currently remodeling the hotel, and the spacious rooms are comfortable. The hotel is 10 minutes from the border, which is easy to cross, 5 minutes from downtown Del Rio, and about 15 from Lake Amistad.

Very nice hotel for the price. Room was large and clean, bed was very comfy. Housekeeping was extremely responsive to requests. Wifi was free :). Only complaints would be, the room had a strange musty smell and the exterior of the hotel could use some sprucing up.

Stayed at the best western this time. Many choices in Del Rio. The rooms are large, clean and very quiet. The location is on a corner, so lots of traffic. The breakfast was good. Friendly staff. Will definitely stay again.

We stayed one night at this centrally located motel. The service was very friendly and attentive for check-in and check-out. The room was very large with parking smack in front of the door. Nice refrigerator and clean bathroom. The beds were comfortable and there was minimal rad noise. Excellent hot breakfast choices in the morning, plus Greek yogurt.

I highly recommend this hotel, they have very good staff specially the manager who help us out with 3 pm checkout due to our car broke down and manager allowed our kids to stay in room without any extra charge while our car at the garage for repair hotel has a nice big room with all the amenities, clean and new bathrooms are great breakfast was awesome with tacos, sausage biscuit omlet

This Hotel was filthy. The entire room was old and smelly. Did not seem like a Best Western. I am still in shock that the sign on the building ( Read) Best Western Hotel. The hotel should be torn down and rebuilt. This should be done... because the location is wonderful.

Our two night stay was very pleasant. The staff were friendly and courteous. The egg, potato, and bacon breakfast burritos were different and good, a nice change to the breakfast menu. The facilities were clean and the air conditioner worked well during the hot spell.

The Hotel was great. The room were clean and big. The bed were comfortable. They did have breakfast but I did go eat it. The only problem I had was the cleaning people didn't know how the shut the door to my room. With that said you had to slam the door shut in order for it too close. I guess they never slammed it.

I'll start this review off by saying I am a tech savvy traveler, and travel quite often on business trips. With that said, I'm used to certain creature comforts and levels of accessibility. I paid for the highest price room I could find in hopes that I would get the best they had to offer. The result was less than satisfactory. The "free" wifi is a joke. Several wall plates cover holes in walls at crooked angles all over the place, the refrigerator was inoperative. Furthermore, they also had no hardwired internet available, and their flatscreen TV came without HDMI. It's 2016, and that's pretty impressive in a bad way. I know it is a business, and certain cuts should be made, but they have completely fallen on their face here. I have been a loyal best western member for some time, and have always used them for my business travel, but they will not see any further business here in Del Rio, and I would urge anyone from staying here as well as I'm sure there are much better choices at a comparable price range.

Just improve Internet connections on room and fresh fruits on breakfast will do better. Also if you can re-model the lobby and breakfast room will be a plus, looks a little bit old. Overall nice for the price .

If you are planning a trip to the border, be sure and book a room at the Best Western motel in Del Rio, TX. I have been staying at this motel for the past 3yrs and I wouldn't stay any place else. I have gotten to know the owner and his sweet wife and I love their hospitality. The motel is being upgraded to include renovations in all rooms and the pool. The rooms are always clean and spacious. The mattress is always very comfortable and you will certainly get a good night's rest. The housekeepers are always willing to help you in any way they can. The pool is nice and well kept allowing my adopted daughters a great place to cool off as the temps were in the 100* the weekend we were there. LOVE, love their breakfast bar. Something for everyone including homemade breakfast burritos, hot off the press waffles, cereal, pastries, fresh fruit, yogurt orange juice and coffee. Take my word and search no further, this is the place to stay in Del Rio!

Once again I have arrived in Del Rio, the gateway to West Texas and it starts with a huge lake! This BW location as mentioned before is an older property but management has somehow figured out how to squeeze out the needed improvements to give you a comfortable stay at a reasonable price. Rooms are fairly large with amenities that are expected of more expensive locations such as, a large TV, micro wave and fridge, everything you need in a bathroom including nice linens! A cozy feeling place if you are on the east side of building and you have the pool there too! Stop in, enjoy the breakfast that is an upgrade on the average fare with tacos prepared. With this location you should be comfortably moving on your merry way East, West, North, or South to Mexico! Have Fun!

I only spent one night on my way to Houston and was impressed with the very high quality of everything; be it the rooms, breakfast or the professionality and friendliness of staff. Very enjoyable place. A hot breakfast is offered with omelettes, waffles, sausage patties, toast, fresh fruit, superbe coffee... The rooms are very spacious, clean and stylishly furnished. An excellent price-quality ratio.

A nice best western,very large room, clean. Gd Wifi, micro, frig, etc. Good bed, good sheets, nice hot shower. Nothing special about brfst,there are biscuits, sausage and eggs, good coffee. Friendly staff.

I was optimistic upon arrival. The lady at the desk was ready for my arrival and checked me in with great efficiency. I had a downstairs room that I parked directly in front of which was convenient for my overnight stay. There's not much within walking distance around the motel, but it's an easy drive to just about anywhere you'd need to go in this town. The room itself was passable. Carpet was worn and stained, but the room was okay. I was afraid that the toilet was going to stop up at times and it seemed like all night water was running somewhere as though there was a plumbing problem somewhere in the walls. In the end though I got the sleep I needed and the room served its function. I don't think I'd stay here again at the same price--maybe a stay in the $50 or $60 range might not be as bad and might sway me to stay. Odds are though I don't know that I'd stay in Del Rio again anyway. It's an interesting stopover, but not a place I'd want to stay for long.

Other than the bed, nothing about this hotel was exceptional. The internet could not hold a connection long enough to send an email. The furniture is old and worn out and the hot water lasted barely long enough to get wet.

on our way to big bend national park, we decided to stop in del rio, we choose this hotel , this was a nice stay on our road trip so far as we got five star amenities, with hot breakfast in the morning, room was clean and bed was comfortable we will stay again on our way back from big bend

This hotel was very clean. When I drove up to the property, I was not sure what to expect. The front desk staff was nice and the lobby area was clean and empty. I went to my room and looked everything over. The whole room was extremely clean and that is all I really care about when staying away from home (if you read the other reviews, most if not all of the reviews commented on the cleanliness of the room). The bed was comfortable and the room was quiet. The remote for the TV was one that could be cleaned. I got a good nights sleep and the breakfast was ok (they had a waffle maker, breakfast tacos, pastries, etc - typical hotel fare). The lady behind the desk was WIPING OFF ROOM KEYS with rubbing alcohol. This is how clean they keep the property. The pool was under construction while there. Would stay there again.

The hotel is in the center of activity in Del Rio, which isn't much. The hotel is clean and adequate, but not special. WIFI worked well and was fast. The bed was comfortable, but the pillows were a bit hard for my tastes. It's an older property, but has been well maintained and updated, although not recently. The pool is currently being refinished so call if your planning to have your kids use it. I would stay here again. By the way, there's a great local Mexican restaurant next door on the back side of the property. It doesn't look like much, but they make great breakfast tacos.

We were mainly passing through Del Rio, so just needed something affordable but comfortable. Best Western was okay - it had good points and bad points. Good: 1) Room was large, tidy, and mostly clean (see "Bad" below, however). 2) Bed was super comfortable. 3) Breakfast was great - warm premade breakfast tacos, scrambled eggs, biscuits, pastries, and a waffle maker. 4) No problems with check-in/check-out. Bad: 1) While the room was overall very clean, the bathroom had not been swept very well. There was body hair around the corners of the floor. One of the hand towels also had a lipstick stain on it. 2) The toilet plumbing was poor - had to flush multiple times. 3) The wireless internet was so slow that it was unusable. 4) Very noisy location next to the road (but then, so are many of the other Del Rio hotels). It didn't help that our room was under the stairs and some other guests were being loud as they went to and from the parking lot. Bring earplugs! 5) No water in the swimming pool. It served its purpose, but could use some improvements.

Passing through town and needed a place for the night. Best Western of Del Rio fit the bill. It was obviously an older place (very large room, small bathroom) but was clean, comfortable and reasonably priced. Breakfast was OK... standard fare for a hot breakfast.

Stayed in February on business. The gentleman at the front desk was nice and checked us in quickly. We had a great room on the ground floor. The room was large, the beds very nice, the AC worked, the comforters were great and the place was clean. Breakfast was decent - hot sausage and some egg thing plus waffles and cereal. All roses until the bathroom... Our bathroom had definitely been overlooked by the last few renovations. Dated fixtures, bad plumbing, and the hot and cold knobs reversed. In the morning our room had a large puddle between the toilet and tub - the ceiling had leaked. It was actually dripping as I showered. The bathroom was so bad it tainted the overall good feeling about the big room and nice beds. Fix the bathroom and this would be a 4 star property at a 3 star price... Came back through the next night and opted for a different property.

This BW property is always a welcoming spot after a long day of driving (which you will have done driving either east or west) to get to Del Rio. Not the newest hotel in town but I like the older buildings that have been given a terrific face lift and the rooms have a nostalgic touch to my childhood, see the restroom fixtures in colors, so 60's/70's! Large rooms, good TV, comfy beds, great bath linens, pool (great in hot dry summer), better than average breakfast if you like mexican and I do! Stop in, folks are friendly and the stay is quaint.

Had to stay here since the Holiday Inn was booked. Rooms are certainly showing their age, and have seen better days. Staff was very friendly. Pretty old location, relatively clean although will not be my first choice when in the area.

This place is a little older but always squeaky clean - fresh painted and smells good - I wish all hotels would take as much pride in their business as these people do - Whenever I stay in Del Rio this is always the place I stay

If you need a pet-friendly place to stay as you make your way through southern Texas, this hotel is right on Route 90. The rooms are nothing special, but they are roomy & the bed was very comfortable. The motel employees are very nice; they went out of their way to accommodate our early arrival. The hotel fills with long-term guests who are working in the area, so it was quiet early & felt quite safe. There's also a popular & very authentic Mexican restaurant just a block away.

I have stayed here several times over the past year, so because of good experience, called to make a reservation. The woman who answered told me they had plenty of rooms, so just come in. I confirmed the internet rate of $62 plus tax. When I got there, I told the man behind the desk, that I expected the internet rate of 62 plus tax, which would make the total around 71.00. He then stated he had "raised the rate", so it would be 74. I asked "with tax?" and he said yes. I said "OK, it's only 3 bucks. When I checked out, I was charged 74.00 plus tax which made it 85 and some change. If I wanted to spend that much, I would have stayed at a higher quality location. Also, in the morning, around 11am, I was rudely awakened by a maid shouting in Spanish really loud. No knock, no phone call, do not disturb sign was on the door. I did over sleep, but this was NOT cool. When checking out, I told the guy at the desk, and his response was "well, everyone just wants to go home." UNACCEPTABLE. This had been my choice of places to stay in Del Rio, but will never stay again.

Great value for price in middle of Del Rio, Texas. Large rooms with wonderful beds. Helpful, courteous staff. Our typical Best Western experience. Close to restaurants and shopping. Easy to get to, right on I10. Nice breakfast.

The Best Western is an older hotel that has been kept up well. My room was clean and spacious. The breakfast buffet was a pleasant surprise. Internet connection was spotty. The staff was competent and friendly. Will stay again.

The hotel location was not where I thought it was going to be but worked out for us anyway. We needed something closer to the Civic Center. This was an average hotel for the price and met our needs for the one night.

Have stayed at Best Westerns all over the U.S. over several years and this was the biggest disappointment ever. Rooms were dirty and staff didn't offer any help except to say we could clean the room ourselves. Was moved to another room and it too was barely acceptable.

We were in Del Rio for a wedding and needed a place to rest. Now this being Del Rio, there are not that many options. We chose BW because it was slightly more than average (which we felt meant would be slightly better than average). And it was. The rooms were large, the bed was super soft and the pillows were fluffy and soft. Very tiny bathroom (toilet and tub, that's it), but the vanity and "closet" area was right outside. Had a safe, fridge, microwave and nice large flat screen TV and free wi-fi. Breakfast was good too - the typical continental breakfast options, but with breakfast tacos! We will definitely be back here if we ever find ourselves in Del Rio again.

We were looking for a comfortable place to stay at the end of a long day and BW of Del Rio was perfect for our family of 5. Nice, updated room; clean pool open late; good breakfast with fun Texas-shaped waffles; and a helpful staff made this a pleasant stay at a reasonable price.

Not the newest but a nostalgic flair and feeling here unless you are under 35. The bathroom fixtures are so quaint in multiple colors depending on the room, so 60's/70's! Not that this is something to be excited about but when the tub and toilet match in these colors it takes you back a bit to a simpler time. Bed; very comfortable, rooms are large and easy to move around in even with a large bed, nice TV, Pool clean and great to dip into after spending time in the West Texas sun only a bit over a 100 last time there, small property with tight parking but adequate, comfortable with all you need to spend the night. Try it out! Very reasonable and that is another reason I like it here, no gouging for a few hours of sleep.

We arrived at Del Rio, a very boring City, on our way to Big Bend. The motel was surprisingly good, large room for a family of four, an ok pool, and a very decent breakfast with yoghurt and bread and not the usual greasy American Breakfast. We would definitely come back for a single overnight.
