Best Western Riverside Inn

On a road trip from Minnesota to Pennsylvania. This place was picked by eeny, meeny miney, moe. Online the price was quite a bit lower than what we were quoted at the desk. Didn't feel like driving somewhere else and accepted it. When we got to the room (#108), it smelled extremely strong of some kind of cleaning fluid. We wanted to air the room out but couldn't get the window open. Instead turned the room unit on high fan. Went to dinner, when we came back it was the same. Had to sleep with the sheet over our noses. The room looked fie. The breakfast was some hot items but poor spread overall.

The stay here was great I couldn't ask for nothing better. Rooms were nice and clean Jacuzzi worked well, it was peaceful and the Internet worked well there wasn't too many rules you had to follow it was fun. The only problem was the bathroom door was broken but that's not a big problem and also the front desk was nice and charming!

No longer BW, this property is now Baymont Inn. After reading mixed reviews, I was a little leery but smiling Michelle at front desk put me at ease & let me see my room before checking in. The nearby Holiday Inn Express was twice the price, the Quality Inn was sold out and the Red Roof Inn got terrible reviews. All I was looking for was a clean room at a decent price, and I found it here. Triple sheets on comfortable bed with lots of fat, fluffy pillows. Towels appeared to be brand new, bright white & thick. Fridge/micro & in-room coffee. Free wifi w/ample signal which I really appreciated, because I only had one bar of service via my AT&T personal hotspot. Old school park in front of your room w/exterior entrance made it super EZ to walk my little dog. Parking lot was well lit & I felt my vehicle was safe. Be prepared to hear the trains passing through. Nothing fancy, ind you, and the carpet needs either deep cleaning or replaced but it certainly met my needs & I'd stay here again.

I'm in a hotel 200+ night's a year, in my opinion cost to service's is to high. Had an old 36 tv, to small. Breakfast was average, plenty to choose from scrambled eggs were cold. Found mold between the shower surround and the tub.

Very nice place . Staff is really nice and really make you feel comfortable. Rooms are nice and clean. Highly recommend for a good night's stay. Close to restaurants and quite part of town that is a big deal for comfort and rest.

We always stay here in we are back in Illinois visiting family. It is safe, conveniently located, and reasonably priced. The staff are friendly and the facility is very clean and pleasant. Making reservations is easy, but it is popular, so it is good to make reservations ahead when possible.

The weather in Danville was looking good, so I decided to stay for a few days. I was here once before, and I'm glad I came back. A really nice location close to plenty of places to eat and drink. I also like to enjoy bike riding, and this location worked out really well. I'm pretty sure I'll be back.

Stayed here for the third time for business. Meets all our expectations. Clean and great location. Staff was helpful and courteous. Only down side was with the Best Western Loyalty program, we could not get logged in after we used the app to find the rate. It was very frustrating.

Good location for the Hotel. Toilet paper was never fixed even though I reported it. Swimming pool was good a little bit dirty no fresh towels on the deck. The staff were very courteous and friendly. Did enjoy them. Hot water and shower took about 1 to 2 minutes to come out. Communication could've been better as to getting the room made up and towel replacement. Had always ask for towels or take them off housekeeping car. Breakfast was good. And consistent

To start off, the manager was very sympathetic to my complaints and rectified it by taking half off the bill. She seemed to take my comments seriously. The place, however, needs some serious help. We arrived to poop in the toilet. The bathroom surfaces were dirty - I cleaned them with disinfectant wipes provided by the woman at the front desk. She offered 2nd floor, but lugging heavy suitcases up the stairs (there's no elevator) was harder than cleaning. And at least I could trust my cleaning. Channels on tele would not go up and down. We switched out remotes, but that didn't work as the tele was broken. There was no hair dryer and the room was musty. The air didn't work well. The sink stopper top was broken and left on the sink. We were provided with less than a 1/2 roll of toilet paper and no spare. Forget about a laundry bag. The hallway needed vacuuming and there was a comforter on the floor in the hallway all night, but at least it was gone in the morning. The area itself is questionable and it was the type of place I felt relieved to find my car still there in the morning. Danville is really struggling and it's not safe statistically. I wouldn't go back unless truly desperate, but if you have other options take them.

Be sure to ask before you get there if your room is on the main floor or the second floor! There is NO ELEVATOR!!! Breakfast was skimpy! No yogurt! Very little seating space for breakfast. Poorly done Remodelling. Room was painted but repairs had not been done to the walls before they were painted! Otherwise, the bed was very comfortable and the room was very spacious and the desk staff was really nice!

First off probably the best breakfast I've ever had at a hotel and the gentleman at the front desk was very polite and cheerful even though it was first thing in the morning would definitely recommend and be visiting again.

Well ya know that saying dont judge a book by its cover. It looks nice on the outside and when you walk in. But once you get to the room it definitely changes. The room smelled terribly of smoke and trust me if i can smell it and im a smoker thats bad. My mother even said the stench of smoke was bad so i know it wasn't because i smoke why i was smelling it. The bathroom door handle was about to fall off . It was not secure at all. The shower was disgusting. Curtain rod was loose and missing the screw cover plates . The shower head was loose as well and not caulked . The floors are stained . Oke bed was maid but the other had two pillows missing and was sitting on the desk chair there was also no sofa chair in the corner for the tall lamp. The entry door would not latch at all so if you really didnt need a key. The Indian lady up front is hella rude . The bathroom in the room had human fluid on the toilet and wasn't clean. The tp roll was literally on its last use with like 5 sheets on it and not a replacement near by. And the owner is total piece of poopoopeepeecaca. AVOID THIS PLACE AND SPEND THE ETRXA CASH next door . Oooooo and the swimming pool was literally murky water couldn't see the bottom. This place should be shut down. Ive worked in a hotel before and this is A disgrace to the industry

5 motorcycles completely blocking and parking under the entrance port, could not roll my suitcases in between or around them - they stayed there for hours. The hotel smells like smoke and marijuana. The shower curtain and towels reeked, although I requested and it was posted as a 'non-smoking room'. Carpets were stained and mildewy, I kept my shoes on until I was actually in the bed. On the 2nd night there were several fights (screaming/yelling/cursing/hitting/smoking pot) both in the parking lot and right outside the front doors. It went on for hours. I needed to pre-pack my car for check-out the following morning, but I was too afraid to walk past the fighting group. The WIFI was unsecured, so I was too afraid to use it, either. I was stuck due to a family emergency and had no options. I have stayed at this hotel several times in the last 25 years, this is the worst I have ever seen it. My sheets and pillows were clean, which is why I stayed. This hotel is the 'best review' in Danville, IL - which is horrifying. When you have little competition, I guess your standards don't matter too much to you?

The employees are great but the hotel needs to be dropped to the ground or really, seriously remodeled. I'm talking gutted. I've stayed here the last 3 years and it's entered kind of gross category. Not sure what best western is doing.

We were in a U-Haul so parking was a little tight but we were able to fit it in. The rooms don't have microwaves. The in-house complimentary breakfast was good and the staff friendly and helpful. I would stay here again.

I like to get away even if it's for one night, this is the best hotel around you can do that at and even for business or any other type of trip as well. I felt like I was staying in luxury my room was amazing the staff was phenomenal and the overall stay itself was quite relaxing!! 10/10 would recommend! And WILL be back!

One night stay and all went well. This location agreed to a special rate for our group. While I didn't take advantage of the breakfast, others had high praises about the variety and quality of breakfast. Room key didn't work and that was resolved in seconds. The staff here both day and night very responsive and helpful. You'll feel at home at this location.

The room was large, clean and had comfortable beds. The outdoor pool was a nice size but was closed for the season. Breakfast was in the lobby area. There were several choices and everything was well stocked and fresh. It was a nice change from the usual hotel breakfasts. We would definitely stay here again.

I'm a combat veteran traveling from states away, the VA scheduled me in Danville for the first time for specialized treatment at the neighboring VA, and this is where they put me up. I've slept in some of the worst conditions on the planet. This is the 2nd review I've ever written on a hotel in my life. I woke up at 2-3 in the morning with what appeared to be chiggers or bed-bug bites on the exposed areas of my body, particularly my arms and neck, and took a few photos. I went to the desk in the middle of the night to see if I could get a change of sheets, but they weren't up, so I turned off the in room heater, tried to open a window, and put on my long sleeve coat... except the window is secured closed and there were dead bugs found at the window. I tried to comb through the sheets to find the bugs but these are small... bed bugs I think. Curiously, the bed didn't have a blanket to begin with, just sheets. So I got online and found their website which states they have "Industry-Leading Cleaning Standards". When I checked in, I told the clerk I wouldn't check out until 1230, as the hospital couldn't schedule me until 1pm. There are no maids at this hotel, which is fine, but the bedrooms aren't properly cleaned and it is obvious. The front desk staff look like they are trying to get by, have their children with them (in the hotel, front desk, whathaveyou) which isn't a big deal to me either, but for some strange reason I kept being asked during my short stay when I would be leaving even though I told them this out the gate. I'm not the whining type, but something should be done to fix this in the age of disease. I don't have any other complaints about the single night I stayed here... the front desk was friendly and all of that, although I wish they had a gym. The Mexican restaurant down the street the front desk staff recommended wasn't bad. But there's something unclean and ridden within the bed I stayed in, and I ended up more ill than I arrived low on sleep afraid to walk into my own house without stripping down, got my vehicle cleaned, I'm still itchy don't want to go near my girlfriend... There were no spare sheets in the closet. I can't recommend anyone stay here.

We were traveling to the area to visit family and tried to stay here. First impression was 3 police cars in the lot upon our arrival. After checking and asking why the police were there we made it to the room only to find the sheets stained in a place that made it seem like this place was more useful for rent by the hour clients and not clean at all. We did not stay here and would not recommend this place to anyone!

My wife and I travelled to Danville IL to visit our son's family. We stayed at Best Western as we had once before. The entire staff made us feel welcome from the time we entered the hotel till the day we left. The housekeeper we talked to, the maintenance guy and all the front desk staff Those on the front desk were Danica, Kylie, Nico, Karsin and Teresa whose granddaughter was also there and talked to us. We have never stayed in a hotel with such a great staff. The hot breakfast buffet was also very good. The room was very comfortable, and we slept well in the king size bed. This is the only hotel we will go to in the future when we are in Danville.

There are two Best Western hotels in Danville, IL, one off the I74 interstate and this one near downtown Danville. My review is about the Best Western Riverside Inn which is near downtown Danville. I had never been in the property before and I was very pleased with my overnight stay there. The exterior is that of an older hotel, but the interior has been comprehensively updated over the years. Very clean! The hotel features an outdoor pool which is covered by a pool cover and there is more than adequate signage concerning safety issues for those who use it. For business travelers: there is a small office center on the first floor that has a PC and an inkjet printer. I do not think that Microsoft Word nor Excel (or any other software packages) are loaded onto the hotel's PC so a laptop with those software packages would be needed here. This is a two-story hotel with no elevator. If one needs to avoid stairs ask for a room on the first floor. Accessible rooms are also available for booking on the Best Western's webpage. Parking is outside close to the hotel property. Very good hot breakfast typical of what was served pre-COVID including healthy choices like fruit. Advice to those approaching the hotel from Danville's downtown: as soon as you approach the bridge the Best Western Riverside Inn comes up very quickly and it's on your right just outside of a wooded area. Very very helpful staff. The Best Western Riverside Inn near downtown Danville is definitely recommended.

Traveling through Danville and just needed an inexpensive place to sleep. This hotel met all our requirements. It appears the hotel has recently undergone renovations. The carpet in the second floor hall and rooms was CLEAN and not worn. The beds and linens were excellent. Breakfast area was clean and they had a decent selection of hot and cold entrees. This hotel is on a busy road and there were several construction workers staying there. If you are interested in sleeping in this would not be the best choice for a hotel but we wanted to be up and on the road so it wasn't a problem for us.

Was not many other options, but this hotel seem to hit most of the marks for what we typically need with a last minute stay. It was a little pricier than what we normally pay for this level of hotel, but worked out fairly well for my family.

First of all, we had problems all night with getting back into our room. We had 4 different keys, and none of them worked. Had to get hotel staff just to let us in with an actual key. Beds were uncomfortable, room was musky, and not very clean. We left the room in better condition than we found it. There was blood splatter by our bed, disgusting, and the air conditioning sucked.

Another Best Western where we were put on an upper floor and there is no elevator. No big deal for me but there are some in our group that have mobility issues - tough beans - take it or leave it. The pool was open and quite nice, our room was up to par for Best Western. And they offered the best breakfast on this whole trip. Our check in went sort of smooth, but housekeeping left a bunch of the room doors open which freaked out some of the people checking in. This was especially hard on the young gal that checked us in but she was awesome and handled it. I was just miffed that day shift and management would leave her in such a predicament.

This was another random stop in my trips across the US. Other than the hotel being a bit noisy, it was a great experience. It certainly is off the beaten path. I would most likely come back her again.

Rooms were updated and quiet even though they are on the main street Good location with lots of food choices. Staff very accommodating, the internet was good spped and they have a business center with printer.

It looks ok from the outside but the inside is all newly renovated. Friendly staff, has good internet and a business center with printer.. I didn't use much of the pool or any other amenities to comment on, good location with plenty of dinner choices around.

The outside of the hotel looks old but the hotel was modern from the inside, there had limited breakfast due to the virus but still had more selection than other hotels we stayed at in our trip. we were in the 2nd floor room

Very nice property, clean and updated, nice location by wooded river and close to restaurants, gas, etc. Close to I74. Beds were great--firm enough, slept well. Very nice new, big tub and good shower.

So I understand the different views about this, but 'supposedly' in this hotel things are being cleaned and the staff is being careful. Except no one is wearing masks, I am talking abou the staff not the guests. Really?

We were passing thru Illinois on our way to ohio and happen to stay here nice hotel and very friendly they even helped load the luggage to the room. They didn't have an elevator though. Breakfast was limited .

I was standing on the stairwell when a young gentleman came in and wanted a room he walked in and you could smell marijuana on him so bad it smelled the whole front end of the office check-in area anyway he proceeded to check in and he said he didn't need any ID that he stays there all the time he didn't need any deposit and he was just really crappy to her she said she apologized several times and said I'm sorry sir without an ID I cannot let you stay she handled it very well I was so upset with the smell that my stomach hurt so I went back upstairs to my room but I really needed some soap but overall my stay was excellent and I think the staff is awesome.

I enjoyed my stay at Best Western Riverside Inn during 3 trips so far this year. Front desk and housekeeping staff are very attentive to the traveler needs and expectations. They are always proactive making sure everything runs smoothly. Also, the hotel has done a good job of social distancing and disinfecting everything, I have seen the front desk staff multiple times wiping all room door handles.

Came here for one night. First Time here. Very comfortable and Clean. Quiet as I slept well. Venue is close to a lot of Restaurants. Very Very Good. I give this Hotel an 8 out of 10 for Service Cleanliness And location.

The hotel was a typical Best Western. They had the full breakfast, nice room size, the location was exactly where we needed to be and was surrounded by ltos of food restaurants. The staff was welcoming.

We had to pull over since we were on the road for a long time and I checked the reviews for this hotel and decided to stay here. We were so glad, they had a good breakfast selection and the rooms were very clean.

The check-in was awesome. The breakfast was excellent especially the automatic pancake machine. The overall of the room was extremely nice and very clean. I will definitely be back the next time I'm in town.

Staff are very helpful, friendly yet professional. Rooms are comfortable, clean and bed is very comfortable. Breakfast was hot and nice variety. The biscuits and gravy with potatoes were great! Close to restaurants and shopping is easily accessible.

We were in Danville to attend a ceremony and decided to stay at this hotel as its close to downtown and toher areas where we needed to be. We are glad we chose this hotel, we had a minor accident in the room but the staff was more than helpful and made sure to not make us feel bad even though it was our fault any other place we would be paying damages.

A nice, inexpensive place that is easy to find. We have stayed here several times and will do so again when in the area. The facility is clean and comfortable with a nice breakfast offering and a good shower. What more do you need?!

We love this hotel because it is convenient to everything around Danville. The rooms are clean and roomy. The breakfast was delicious. The pool was seasonal and closed. The beds are comfortable and new. They are queen beds in rooms with 2 beds. Over all when going to Danville this is the best hotel to stay in.

We stayed here on our way back to Missouri. This is an older Best Western but has completely been remodeled. The room was very clean and comfortable and very quiet. Staff and check in great and friendly and recommended a nearby restaurant. It's a ways off interstate but was worth it for savings and clean and comfortable. We would recommend this one.

I was pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness and good condition of this hotel. The room is modern enough having a Keurig, small refrigerator, and high speed WiFi internet. It is also well located with a few restaurants within walking distance. I will stay here again when I come to town to visit my family.

We stayed here just overnight since we were tired and it was an excellent choice. The front desk clerk was very knowledgeable and helpful. Our room was nice and clean. No issues at all! We would definitely stay here again!

The breakfast was very nice. The room was very clean and kept neat. Food was hot with a nice selection. It meet all our wants. The hotel looked like it was recently renovated. We didn't get to use the pool

This is a smaller but very nice property. The rooms clean, beds comfortable and staff excellent. The breakfast selection is not as varied as at other BW's but still very good. An automatic pancake machine that made 2 pancakes within minutes, scrambled eggs, bacon, biscuits and gravy, yogurt, juice, fruit, selection of breads and muffins and cereal. The pool area was very clean and nice but the water way to warm for a hot summer day. Really nice for an evening swim though. Pool open until 10:30 pm. Brandon was at the desk when we checked in and had a great personality! Check in and out was fast and easy. There were also grab and go bags in the morning for those who couldn't wait for breakfast before taking off. Only drawback was the parking was very tight. Other than that I would recommend this hotel and we will be staying here again on a return trip.

Room was pleasant and clean. Breakfast was only average, small dining area. Kind of an awkward layout. It's a good alternative for a short stay. Convenient location. Front desk personnel were helpful. Good staff.

This facility has been around for a while which is given away by its exterior appearance and the lobby but it is clean, pleasant and a nice place to stay. We have stayed here in the past and will do so again in the future.

The room was supposed to be a non smoking room but it reeked of tabacco smoke. The floors were dirty. The bathroom walls had peeling paint and someone just painted over the old peeling paint. The doors had scratch marks and peeling paint. The bed was worn out. The neighborhood is sketchey. Two woman were getting ready to fight in the parking lot when we pulled up. Two homless appearing people were hanging around the parking lot.If we were not so tired we would have left. Thie was the worst Best Western we have ever stayed in.

We liked this place it is newly renovated and looks modern, plenty of choices in breakfast, lots of restaurants in walking distance, the rooms were clean and decent sized. The staff were all friendly.

IF you are in the area this is the property to stay at newly renovated, the pool wasn't open yet but looks like they are keeping the property upto date and making improvements on it. everyone we met in the staff was friendly

This location is a bit older and needs better cleaning and maintenance. We only stayed here because it had a good price in a good location and we were there only two nights. There aren't many options in Danville. We've stayed at BW many times but the last few have not been great. Prefer other brands.

We were very pleased with our experience including the cleanliness of the room, staff, amenities, and location. The bed was comfortable enough. The jet tub was clean and a plus helped take the stress of the world away.

Nice hotel, friendly staff. The bed is a bit firm for me. But that's personal taste and should not take away from this establishment whatsoever. Breakfast was top class. Very clean hotel and close to downtown and restaurants.

Great motel type accommodation, easy car parking, easy access to rooms from car park, rooms are well appointed good size, clean & comfortable, bathroom has all necessities. Nice location close to down town & restaurants around corner will differently stay here again

Best Western Riverside Inn has done a great job of accommodating our wrestling team for the last couple years. The staff is very helpful with the check in and check out process. They take the time to talk high school kids through the process. They also make sure that we all can eat breakfast at the same time. This hotel has helped bring my team closer together. We plan on staying every year that we come back to Danville

Our stay was good other than our check in. Room was given to us but wasn't ready. Had to go back to lobby and wait 20 mins for room to be cleaned. Staff said she would talk to manager about discount but nothing was done.

- Friendly and welcoming at check-in- East parking- Breakfast was .hot and fresh, with a reasonable selection, eating area is small.- Good place for resting after a day's travel.- Easy to find from the Interstate.

I was there for a business trip and was pleasantly surprised to find best western - it is just off the interstate and close to hotels. The front desk is friendly and had good suggestions for dinner and very informed about the surroundings.

Pleasantly surprised, was a nice clean little room. Had what I needed, the basics plus a fridge and microwave in lobby, although I wish the fridge was a little bigger. The room had an fresh smell to it. Very quiet. Will be booking again in the future.

Staff was courtious, pleasant, and extremely helpful. The room was immaculate, and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast consisted of pancakes, bacon, biscuits and gravy, fresh fruit, yoghurt and best of all, raisin bread and hot chocolate mix. I'd definitely stay again.

We spent the weekend at this hotel the rooms were clean and the service was excellent. The location was absolutely perfect, the pool was inviting and there were tons of great restaurants within walking distance.

If you are not an early riser don't expect any breakfast. I was shocked to find out they wanted an additional 20 dollars to check in 1 hour early and the room was ready. So, all but my hair was together for a very special event.

Fast check in, friendly staff, great breakfast and rooms are very clean. Everything was nice. The outlet in the bathroom area for the hairdryer went out. Called the front office. Within minutes, Rickie, the electrician was there and fixed it without cause. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!

Newly renovated, super clean and friendly accommodations, Breakfast was a hit. All the staff we encountered were very friendly and the internet has very good speed. In town for an event and this location was close to downtown.

This is a well-kept facility, newly renovated with a very friendly staff. They were fully booked for the weekend so when we checked in there was no opportunity to get a first-floor room. I was traveling with my elderly mother who uses a walker. No elevator on the premises made it a bit difficult for her.

Staff were friendly, breakfast was more than the typical continental, beds were comfy, but the room I stayed in was dirty and not well maintained. It was not worth the $200+ per night we paid. There is no elevator in the hotel, so we couldn't get rooms on the 2nd floor where footsteps above wouldn't bother.

Get a room with an odd number, and you'll have a delightful view out your window. The hotel is right up against the woods, and you can see down to the river. The room itself was very nice. Similar to other Best Westerns I've been to. Cozy bed, big tv, nice bathroom. Free breakfast, on-site laundry, close to some fast food. The one downside was that there was no microwave in the room, but overall I had a great stay.

Everything was clean and smelled great. Breakfast was delicious. I stayed in the hot tub room for a cubs game and the stay was excellent . Finding a restaurant near us was easy and fast. Danvillle is a cute little city

Got a last minute reservation and the hotel was very nice, clean, and the staff was very friendly. Loved the breakfast, they had anything you could want for breakfast. The rooms were clean and the beds and pillows were very comfortable.

We had a death in the family and traveled from Iowa really not knowing where we were going to stay. It was suggested the we try the Best Western as it had been updated. It sure had, The whole place was very impressive. The desk clerk was very nice. I explained why we were there and that my husband requires a first floor room. No problem. The room was clean and very pleasant. Breakfast had multiple choices. The only thing that bothered me was we are used to memory foam mattress but we got used to it. I hate to say this but there is another death in the family expected this year..but now know where we will be staying.

We were fortunate to stay at Riverside Inn while visiting family over Christmas. Everyone working there was extremely helpful. Our accommodations were in great shape with comfortable beds. One frigid morning our car wouldn't start. The front desk manager and the owner separately offered to jump start our car or transport us to an auto store. We will plan on staying here anytime we return to Danville.

Overall experience was excellent. Rooms were updated recently, very clean, and staff was friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was provided for no extra charge and food was good - better that any other hotel I have stayed at that provided breakfast.

This hotel is not new - but it is well-maintained and some money has been put into a renovation. The interior style is very similar to a brand new Best Western that I stayed at over the summer. The staff was very nice, patient and helpful. The breakfast had pancakes, bacon, scrambled eggs, biscuits, gravy, yogurt, juices, coffee, bananas, two kinds of cereal and more. The location is very close to I-74 with close access to restaurants, including a McDonald's right next door. The only complaint I have is that the exterior doors to the hotel are not locked with room key access.

The BW hotel in Danville was a very convenient and comfortable place to stay. The room was clean and very comfortable, with a lovely bathroom, bed and furnishings. The staff we very friendly and helpful and the breakfast provided was excellent.

Overall experience was delightful, room was very nicely decorated and clean. Continental Breakfast quality on items we chose, was excellent. Oh and room smelled wonderful, which is a big deal to me, always.

Good location, clean rooms and the usual continental breakfast menu. Sound proofing level between rooms is poor. We needed to relocate due to our "neighbor's" loud music. Hallways seemed dated and a little deep cleaning of the carpet is needed. NOTE - no elevator service so if you need that ask for first floor only.

At the time of our stay we had been on an extended road trip involving several different motel chains. We picked BW because it is a known commodity. We were not disappointed. The folks at check in/check out were very nice, friendly and happy to see us. The room met our expectations and in many ways exceeded our experiences from earlier in the trip. We appreciation that BW has inspectors and owners who work to make sure their customers get what they expectd.

I was returning home from an extended motorcycle trip. I don't usually make reservations as I ride until I'm tired. Check in was quick and easy. The room and bed were quite comfortable. i would recommend this hotel to any of my friends or family so for a stranger, I don;t think you can go wrong.

The room was very clean & updated. It appears to have been updated recently. The staff was very friendly & helpful. It would have been nice to have had more fruit options for breakfast but this is just my preference. I would recommend & stay her again.

This hotel was easy to find from interstate, reasonably priced with restaurants close by. The hotel staff was very friendly. They served a decent breakfast as well including biscuits, eggs, bacon, fruit, yogurt and waffles...good way to start out the morning.

Got our room and it was great. Big and comfortable. The check in went good but the discounts were low. It was quiet and peaceful. We had spent the night before in a shameful dungeon That should have their franchise pulled so we were very happy with this one and the price was about as good as the dungeon. The breakfast was good and the desk staff very helpful. We put them on the good list.

The staff was very accommodating. My initial room assignment smelled stale and they happily moved me to another which was roomy, clean and odor free. All spaces were very clean. Not planning another trip to Danville but would be happy to stay there if I did.

This hotel was not especially pleasant before its recent change in ownership and a comprehensive refurbishment. What a difference a new owner made. The entire Inn has been redone -- flooring, walls, furniture, amenities. It's now a nice place again which I feel comfortable staying at. The price is reasonable for what is offered.

The hotel does not look like much from the outside but inside is very nice and comfortable. The breakfast bar is a very good value, with push button pancakes, yum. Also a great Mexican food place is just up the block

Wife called/asked for a QUIET room on back of property for my stay.Given very clean but noisy dated room on front parking lot facing McDonalds/road. Non Automated Front Access. Ok internet for work. Will only return/recommend with backside quiet room.

I stay at this hotel each time I am in town, which is several times a year. Easy location and I like the employees. Price is good for the quality. I find it a good value. I have always found it to be clean and the staff friendly and efficient.

We stayed at the Best Western Riverside Inn in Danville IL during a short vacation. We were pleased with the accommodations, service, price and hot breakfast.The room was clean, the clerk very accommodating and we were happy with our choice to stay there.

Hotel is a great place, staff was helpful for evening dining locations. Rooms are tidy. No microwave was available in room but upon request you can rent one. I definitely recommend staying here if for a day or two.

When traveling and thinking of writing a review, I usually ask myself if I would stay again if passing through the area. For Best Western Riverside in Danville, I would have to say no. There are several other properties on the east side of Danville that I would investigate first. We were in town for a family reunion and I, unfortunately, recommended this place as it was one of the closer motels to our event. Rooms and common areas were clean, but the motel is dated with narrow hallways and cramped rooms. Breakfast was free but lacked taste and variety - we were here two days with same offerings both days. Outdoor swimming pool was nice and was warm as would be expected at the end of July. Staff were friendly and helpful Major concerns that would keep me from returning include but are not limited to accessibility. This two-story property has no elevator. One can request a ground floor room but it won't necessarily be honored. Also, doors to the parking lot, with the exception of the lobby entrance, all have signage saying only use lobby door. The door nearest our room was, at times, manually locked. I unlocked it as I didn't want to take the chance of not being able to get out quickly in the event of an emergency.

I was very pleased with the hotel, room, complimentary breakfast, swimming pool and helpfulness of the staff. The mattress was comfortable, room exceptionally clean, dark and quiet. The pool was clean and temperature was very comfortable. The staff were quite helpful in giving directions and assisting with Wi-Fi.

The reviews here convinced me to stay here. The room was what I was looking for...two queens. There seem to be only doubles in the area.Breakfast was adequate . Staff was friendly and helpful. Our stay was fine but I would not go out of my way to stay here again.

This location had a nice staff, good pool and good facilities. The pool is very nice and was refreshing.I loved having access to coffee at all hours. Wonderful Cable in rooms. Room presentation was very classy, extremely comfortable bed, outstanding shower, spotless room, breakfast was more than typical continental, desk staff & manager very polite & friendly! Nice clean room and reasonably quiet as we were on the second floor overlooking the parking lot. I wish they could figure out a way to prevent curtains from blowing open when the ac is on as it lets a lot of light come in during the evening. They also need to put a security lock on the rear door as it's open all day and night.

Everything was great (beds, staff, food, pool, location, and $ value). The only problem We had was they need is more room for breakfast due to so many families. Also they need to extend breakfast till 10am on Saturday & Sunday for the same reason .

Desk clerk was very helpful when I called at the last minute to get room. She was very helpful at check in. A storm was coming and she even printed out a radar map to show us when the storm would hit.

Had a very restful nights sleep. This Best Western is a very good place to stay. The room we had was clean and quite. I would stay here again if in the area on business. We had a room with two double beds but I totally prefer rooms with a king bed. The rooms are not as crowded and easier to do your work. You can spread out and relax a little better. Over all this is a great place to stay.

We stay here every year when we come to this area. The staff were great and helpful. very quiet hotel. I will surely recommend this this hotel to others who travel to this area. Lots of food places close by this hotel.

Rate was vert reasonable, at $76+. Very clean, nice decor, easy to find, pleasant staff, small bathroom, but very nice shower. Keurig in the room was a very nice surprise! Breakfast was quite nice, including individuality made pancakes, in a machine, and great, fresh muffins!

Thirteen cousins gathered there, the staff was most pleasant and helpful our entire 5 day stay. Can't give this Hotel staff enough credit! The breakfast was good for what it was. the beds were the worst ever !!! they need to all be changed out!

I'll start by saying the staff was very helpful and check-in was a breeze. Parking was adequate, and the mattresses were comfortable, but that is about where the good points end. For $110+ per night, and the number 2 ranked hotel in Danville, I would expect a WAY better quality hotel. There is zero security at the back entrance. No card code, no lock..anyone that wanted could walk into the hotel at 2am. The pillows were thick, solid nuggets. We had 8 total in our room and they were all the same. I called the front desk for replacements and they said all pillows were the same. The sink/bathroom area was tiny! God forbid if two women were trying to get ready at the same time...not gonna happen. The hotel interior and exterior are very unimpressive. 1990s interior decor, and 1970s exterior. I was looking forward to watching the NHL playoff game...their hotel cable channels didn't have it. Those local train horn was nice and loud throughout the night. Seemed like the trains went through about every hour. Breakfast was a hot breakfast, but the eggs and gravy seemed to have a metallic taste to them. Fruit was banana and apples. Your typical hot bar, and a VERY small breakfast area. Coffee was good through. I do not recommend the Best Western Riverside unless there prices come down about $45 per night. Then you are getting what you are expecting.

We've stayed here numerous times over the last 30+ years & the service has only gotten better. Not a "luxury" motel; but a very nice motel to come back to in the evening & know the room will be clean & comfortable.

good safe hotel overpriced for city. Danville Illinois is not where you would expect to stay 116 a night, book room online before you get there for sure. get kayak on phone or some other booking app could save 20 to 40 a night

Our son was getting married, and his fiancé's family recommended this hotel. We were extremely satisfied with our stay. The breakfast was the best we have ever had at a hotel. The rooms were very clean, well decorated and spacious. The staff was very helpful and courteous. The hotel was easy to locate and near to several restaurants and shops. We will stay here again when traveling to Danville, IL.

I booked my room online one evening. Two days later after receiving an online survey it was discovered that the website not only booked my stay for the same night that I made my reservation, but then charged my credit card for the "no show". I then contact the hotel directly and was informed, "Sorry it's too late. That was an internet special and all the commissions have already been paid." I wasn't asking for a refund, just place my reservation as I entered online??? Not even offered. Just take the money and run. The next time I will stay ANYWHERE other than Best Western...

A very nice stay with an excellent clerk which steers us to a fine restaurant.. We were our way to North Carolina and the stay was very restful, located in a easy to find location. We had a good breakfast at the hotel and had a good next day of travel.

On the plus side, the room had been refreshed, and included a Keurig coffee maker. We were in room 207 for 1 night, and had no issues with road or train noise. On the minus side, we went down for breakfast at 8:45 a.m. (breakfast ended at 9:00) and they were out of coffee, eggs, and bacon. The nice young woman said more coffee, etc. was being made, but really what she meant was that was the end of it. So, if you want to have a breakfast more substantial than what we found, be sure to go down early! Otherwise, it was a nice overnight stay. We had dinner at Montana Mike's Steakhouse, about a 10 minute drive from the motel.

This property was very clean and updated! Price was inexpensive and close to restaurants. The only drawback was that there was no elevator available (that I could see). That could help with elderly clients to get to the second floor.

Friendly staff, clean and comfy rooms. Short walk to fast food restaurants and also a Mexican restaurant. Great breakfast: self service pancake maker, cereal, juice, fresh fruit, yougurt, pastry, bread, scrambled eggs, bacon, fried potatoes, biscuits and gravy. Breakfast area was kept clean and well stocked.

Passing through on the way home and found this place to be very nice. The room was clean and the beds were very comfy. Had a great nights sleep. The breakfast was very good and service was very good. Rates were very good. If I pass through Danville again I will stay here.

We were looking for a quiet reasonable room and this served our needs well. The room was in the back and overlooked the river. Recently renovated and it was very quiet. Good breakfast in the morning band the clerk recommended a good Mexican restaurant that evening.

A friend from out of town and I have stayed there several times after a party. no problems and a good breakfast. and I do not have to deal with cleaning my house and I board my dogs, so I get a mini-vacation.

Staye here on nov 20th 2016 because of a funeral- It was a very clean motel and the person on the front desk was very helpful-The breakfast was all that you could ask for-I would stay there again.The rooms were inside which i liked.

Spent night on way to visit U of I. Truly enjoyed our stay! Jim at front desk and Pepper in the cafe were super friendly and so accommodating. Kids loved the pool and hot tub. Breakfast was really impressive; eggs, hash browns, sausage & biscuits/gravy! Highly recommend and will definitely stay again.

A last minute decision was made to go to the 31 Covered Bridge Festival in Indiana. After searching for a hotel this was the closest with rooms available. Approximately 40 minutes from the center of the bridges. Very friendly staff, clean rooms, very comfortable beds and a nice free breakfast each morning. My only disappointment was the room did not have a microwave. The facility does not have an elevator so make sure to ask for first floor if the stairs are not an option for you.

Hotel looks older, but they did a nice remodel recently. Room was large and nice. Small dining area, Had a full breakfast available, as well as "to go" bags for early check-outs. Staff was friendly and helpful. Side entrance could be improved, but overall hotel is acceptable. I would stay here again if in Danville.

Friendly staff , good breakfast, nice clean room, comfortable bed, close to our destination. Only issue was price went up considerably since we stayed here last year at this time. Staff was helpful and friendly making sure we were satisfied with our stay.

The hotel was OK, clean, but wasn't worth over $100 for one night. The breakfast was very good. There is no elevator, so if you get the 2nd floor, be prepared to lug all your things up the stairs yourself.

This hotel has worked hard to remodel, and most things look very nice. The exterior was lacking, and the door to the outside didn't look like it ever latches securely. Room layout is a little weird. You walk right into a split bathroom...latterly, you open the hotel door, and you are looking at the bathroom sink. The door to the toilet/shower is right behind hotel door, just kind awkward. For the price...a fine place.

Hotel was very clean, the gentlemen at the front desk were very friendly and polite. The breakfast was better than most, however, I felt that overall it was a tad overpriced. We were traveling from TN to WI so this was just a stop along the way.

I have stayed at many different BW hotels over the years. This one was a nice hotel, but the room cleaning staff was below average for this chain. The front desk staff were terrific, and if we would have been staying for more than one night; I would have contacted the front desk to take care of things.

We were a bit disappointed when we asked at check-in if we could get a room overlooking the river and were told the river can't be seen from this property. Other than that, the room was very nice and modern and clean, the breakfast was fine. The lobby area didn't have much charm, and there wasn't an elevator, but this is a good basic hotel, right next door to a McDonald's and across a busy street from a Subway.

The hotel was very clean, the rooms were nicely decorated and clean. Everything went very smoothly. I have had problems with online reservations in the past, but this hotel handled everything perfectly and everything was ready and waiting for us. We had two rooms, and they put us close to one another.

Ok, where do I begin? My boyfriend is from Egypt, we booked the room in his name. I went in to check in and staff was friendly as ever, until my boyfriend went in to show his i.d, from then on staff was rude. So, we stayed at night, next morning showered headed out to visit family and I got a phone call that we had to get our stuff out because we were smoking in the room! We had NEVER smoked in that room. We had attended a bonfire the previous night, but never smoked in the room. They even said they "took pictures " of ashes. I don't who in their right mind would smoke in a non smoking room, and then request room service! They held our belongings hostage until we paid 150.00. Now, had we been smoking in the room, we would have taken full responsibility, but we did not ever ever smoke in that room. Never will i stay in a best Western hotel EVER again!!

I will definitely stay at they hotel again. It is clean, staff is friendly, beds are comfortable,room has updated decor, breakfast is good, complimentary newspaper, and a bag to go with snacks. Be advised that rates go up on weekend. Years ago i stayed at Days Inn down the street and it was dirty and depressing. Don't go there.

It looked like the hotel had been recently renovated and they did a great job. The room furnishings were very modern and different than most mid range hotels. The beds were comfortable and the hotel and its surroundings were quiet. It was located in town so close to restaurants and stores. Even though it is not a Best Western Plus they still had a hot breakfast the same as the plus hotels. I would recommend this hotel since it is very nice and a good value.

Stayed here for a wedding. The rooms were perfect: clean, neat, new furniture, floors, and bathroom. Very good beds. I was happy to find the hotel fully renovated including not only the rooms, but the hallways, and reception. Breakfast was good as well: standard continental in a bright room with lots of space for guests.

Had been staying in Champaign/Urbana and driving to Danville for business. Decided to give this Best Western a try and I'm quite pleasantly surprised. Recently remodeled, very nice front desk staff and clean room. A little road noise but much cleaner than the hotels I was at in Champaign. Will rearrange travel plans to stay here more often.

The climed controll worked great.sometimes this is a problem.breakfast was Great.50% more choices than I am used to at other national chains.room was clean.Bed was firm.Not super soft or brick hard.I would stay again,my first choice.fast food close,1 sit down restaurant within walking distance.

We were a large funeral party with ten rooms and everyone was satisfied. The breakfast, gathering place, is smaller, but we were able to gather there and it gave the family a chance to visit when at the hotel. The staff was very good. Good location down the street from many eating spots and next to a McDonalds.

Shabby appearance of the rooms. There was peeling paint in the bathroom, teeny-tiny bathroom, hole in bathroom door from slamming guest room door. There was also a door on the closet - try to navigate through with bags and children!! Faded rugs and curtains.

Please think twice about booking this hotel. The picture is very deceiving on the website. This hotel was rated #3 on Trip Advisor and I cannot possibly see how except for its proximity to downtown Danville. We were checked in for approximately 30 mins. when my husband & I decided to find another hotel in the area. Getting a refund on my credit card was somewhat of a hassle but they finally agreed. Anyone looking for a great hotel check out the Sleep Inn & Suites for $13 more. Definitely worth the few extra dollars and that was for a King suite!

This location is right off the interstate so easy to find late at night. I found a very friendly staff, and a clean, nice updated room. The breakfast was the best hotel selection I have encountered, including scrambled eggs, toast, oatmeal, cereal, coffee, tea, etc.

The room was very clean, the bed was comfortable, and the shower had excellent water pressure. Picked this hotel due to the reasonable rates and previous good reviews. The breakfast was one of the best I have had at any hotel. Will stay again on our next trip to Danville, Il.

We hit snow as soon as we hit highway 136 and it was terrible...white out in places and we couldn't even see the highway. Fighting our way to Danville was just that, a fight! But as soon as we were registered at the Best Western I begin to relax! They were so pleasant to us and got us a handicapped room right away, (which I needed), close to the front lobby. Even tho we did not venture outside to McDonald's we ordered pizza and Dominoes was close by and rescued us with food they were able to bring in. The staff went out of the way to assist us and our room was comfortable and clean.

We were on our way to a family wedding. Spent the night here before going on. Room was clean and staff was friendly. We left our phone charger and they held it until we came thru on our way home but offered to mail it to us.

I have been traveling for weeks now and stayed at many hotels during this time. I am happy to say this one was clean and has nice comfortable beds... Needs more towels in room as they are small and I have a ton of long hair and needed another towel or two.. Would stay again for sure. Prices were I think average.

4 people in our group, our room was adequate for our 3 day stay, breakfast was very good, beds were comfortable but pillows weren't all that good, bathroom was kind of small, but for what we wanted it wasn't bad, would stay here again

Pulled off freeway to stay here as I'm a Best Western member. Place seemed nice enough and desk clerk was nice. Got checked in and immediately realized this place is next to a train depot. OMG, it was non stop train horns. I called the office and was assured it would stop. IT DOES NOT STOP. All night long you hear trains blasting their horns. Do yourself a favor, drive a bit further and stay elsewhere. Got NO sleep at all, on the road again very early, hopefully better luck tonight.......

Rooms clean, great rate, staff friendly and nice location for food, fuel and down town area. Would stay there again. Within 5 miles to VA Clinic and interstate 74. easy to get around from hotel to really anywhere.

Nice hotel, the best actually in Danville that you don't have to drive 15-20 minutes for. Customer service is great and rooms are nice and clean. I think its an older hotel but they have re-done it nicely. We have stayed here several times with our children with no problems

I've never been more insulted in my life!!! Just as I was getting back into Danville from going to church with the God Girls, we received an email that the hotel charged us $150 fee for smoking in our room. We NEVER smoked in the room. We went to karaoke the night before and they still smoke in the bar (even though they aren't supposed to) so I'm sure both our clothes smelled like it. So I go to the front desk and tell them I'm there to dispute the charges. General Manager comes down and we talk then go to the room so he can show me "ash" he found... Um what?! Their furniture is black shows everything. So does their floor. After I again said we did NOT smoke in the room, he said he would courtesy refund me the fee but we were not allowed to come back again. I was a little in shock... Told him after this incident we'd never stay there again (with admittedly a raised voice). He said he felt I was threatening him and I needed to leave or he'd call the police. So the charge was refunded but it was again stated that we were banned from this hotel. How can they treat people like that? He did admit that the people in room 218 were caught smoking they were going to be prosecuted. (we were in room 210). I just wonder if he charged everyone on the 2nd floor the $150 fee…. or how often he does this to innocent people...

Two-night stay in October, 2015. Appeared to have been remodeled recently, nicely done. Room was nice, clean, quiet, and reasonably priced, which is all I want for a night or two on the road. "Sanitized" TV remote in a bag a nice touch. Good shower, clean, good water volume and pressure, exhaust vent. Stay included a hot breakfast better than the motel norm. Staff was pleasant. Only negative was inability to access the wi-fi with my I-phone using the in-room instructions, but that may have been my ineptness, and I did not bother to ask the desk for assistance. Very pleased with my stay, certainly would stay there again.

Hotel was upgraded. Room was upgraded but not the bathroom Breakfast was OK. Location had a McDonald's across the street and two Mexican restaurants within walking distance. The entrances did not have a security.

The room was very nice, nice beds, shower, TV and service. The HOT breakfast was good with biscuits and gravy, well done bacon, and scrambled eggs. Juice, coffee, rolls and fruit. If you are in the area stay here. The only bad thing is the small parking area for check in. Since my wife and I both use c-paps we really like the outlets on the table lamps. Easy chair could have been better.

Spent 1 night at the Best Western Riverside hotel. The room was newly remodeled and smelled of new carpet. The room was clean and beds were exceptional. Don't choose this one for the exterior it's deceiving it's a really nice place.

Traveled for my 50th class reunion in a small rural farming community near the motel. The motel had recently been renovated so the rooms had new furnishings. Breakfast choices were more than adequate with lots of good hot coffee. The motel staff was courteous and seemed truly concerned with travelers comfort. Would stay here if in the area again.

The breafast had plenty of choices. Staff was helpful. The room was lovely, with a king bed and frig. There were reading lights, and a table that rolled out from under the desk, if you needed more flat space.

Last minute reservation on our way home from Kentucky / Tennessee distillery tours, hotel room was clean, staff friendly, customer service great. No issues no problems with our reservations. Breakfast was1 of the better then any on our 7 day journey. Hotel was also 1 of the nicest on our journey. Location was right off the freeway- It was a good night rest before heading home.

My daughter and I booked a King size bed room at this hotel for a weekend trip to see relatives. The room was great - clean room and comfortable bed! It came with a under the cabinet fridge and Keurig Coffemaker. Staff was very friendly and helpful! They do offer pastries and biscuits in the morning, but we went to a local restaurant instead. Although I did take advantage of their International Delights Coffee Creamer - Irish Cream! The hallways and other parts of the hotel appear to be in the process of much needed repairs - but what counted most was the beautiful room!
