"Room fine, breakfast disappointing."
joseph K, 08 Avril 2024

The location was only a 10 minute drive to downtown Cooperstown. Accommodations were good- room clean, bed comfortable and staff helpful. However the breakfast choices were lacking in assortment and quantity. The hotel was not crowded yet in the first hour they seemed to have run out of some breads/pastries.

"Nice stay"
r440m, 26 Mars 2024

Don't usually stay at BW but no Hilton or Marriott properties near Cooperstown. Nice hotel, good price and location me BBHOF. Quiet, clean comfortable rooms. Nice pool area. Must have had an off day for breakfast because it wasn't great. Would stay again.

"Breakfast needs some work!"
anthonygach, 23 Mars 2024

Breakfast needs work! Poor selection! How do you not have English muffins.... It wasn't worth going back to eat breakfast after the first day, of 3 days. Better to include a breakfast coupon to the McDonald's next to the hotel!

"Amazing time!"
Passenger34306787602, 09 Novembre 2023

This is my hotel when I come to Cooperstown! The staff is extremely nice and helpful. I work for a Resort in the Poconos and understand what it means when it comes to hospitality. This hotel was amazing and of course I'll be back! Also great location to everything! Will be back

"Good value for the money"
daler68, 29 Octobre 2023

My adult son and I stayed here for 2 nights when we visited Cooperstown to visit the Baseball Hall of Fame. Our room was very comfortable and clean with 2 queen size beds. The room was quiet and large . The water pressure in the shower was excellent. We did not take advantage of the free breakfast except to get coffee in the morning to bring back to the room. The breakfast looked very bland and didn't appeal to us. Also clearer instructions on the thermostat would have been appreciated.

"Great Value for Your Money As Part of a One Day Visit to Charming Cooperstown, New York"
Geography10101, 20 Octobre 2023

This property offers guests great value for their dollar in a peaceful and relaxing setting that is located less than 10 minutes by car from charming Cooperstown and the Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum. The rooms, both public and private, are very clean and comfortable, which is very important to me. The deciding factors for me in choosing to stay at this property for that one night during my visit on October 18th, 2023, are as follows: 1) Very good hot breakfast in the morning with plenty of food options to choose from. 2) Very nice and clean heated indoor swimming pool and hot tub, both of which I used and enjoyed very much. 3) Clean and comfortable rooms which basically met or exceeded all of my expectations. 4) An outstanding shower experience in the morning with fantastic water pressure and an excellent shower head that I wished that I had in my own home......loved it. 5) Proximity to Cooperstown. 6) Outstanding value for my dollar, which is always very important to me no matter what product or service I am searching and/or paying for. 7) I am a very outgoing and friendly person myself, so I appreciated the very friendly and helpful staff who I came in contact with while there, especially Nadeen who prepared the breakfast food that morning for us and Ryan at the front desk. Both of these individuals were super friendly and helpful.

"Great place to stop"
MrsJEssex, 16 Octobre 2023

Friendly, clean, busy, comfortable hotel. Perfect for a one night stop. Breakfast was ok, not a lot of choice but enough to get you going. Staff on the front desk were really nice. Hotel was a little way out of town, but there were a few shops and a McD's within walking distance.

"Door Safety"
mikefrye40, 14 Octobre 2023

The door to the room does not go to the floor, huge gap between floor and bottom of door, made us feel unsafe. We used blankets to cover gap and blocked door with closet door. I have never seen this before in any hotel I have stayed at

"Hall of fame breakfast at the Cooperstown Best Western"
douga202, 01 Octobre 2023

In my opinion the best breakfast and most attentive breakfast host on our 14 day trip was right here at the Cooperstown Best Western. We only spent one night but we are likely to come back and see more sights than just the Baseball Hall of Fame. The property is about three miles from Cooperstown but grouped with other motels and a short walk or drive to dining options. All staff were pleasant and efficient.

"recent stay while visiting Baseball HOF."
JungleDoc, 21 Septembre 2023

Nice clean motel, friendly staff, good coffee. Good place to stop when visiting The Baseball Hall of Fame. Cooperstown is a nice place to walk around for a few hours. Takes 5-10 minutes to drive from HOF to this hotel.

"Clean & Comfortable"
minx6469, 20 Septembre 2023

Clean and comfortable. Conveniently located - only a 10 minute drive to downtown Cooperstown and the Baseball Hall of Fame. Also next door to a McDonalds and grocery store. Staff was very friendly and breakfast was good.

"A room with a smell"
56philipp, 04 Septembre 2023

We stayed 1 night for a wedding in Cooperstown. The room had a bad smell. I asked the front desk about it and he offered to freshen up the room. He should have offered to move us to another room. I would not recommed

"Musty, Moldy room"
willv2312023, 26 Août 2023

Bathroom had plenty of mold and the whole room smelled moldy, musty and damp feeling. For approx 300 a night in Cooperstown, I expected more. Had to wear foot covering fur to the rugs being dirty and damp.

"Moldy"
Matt0164, 26 Août 2023

Very overpriced - for $300 per night I expect a clean room. The bathroom was filled with mold and smelled the entire room. The room was dirty with stains on the lamps and other places. To the staff's credit they remediated the mold but there still was an odor and ventilation was poor.

"Expensive stay for an average hotel"
mags5555, 15 Août 2023

Our car was vandalized on the last day of our trip. Although the police were notified, there was nothing they could do as the hotel lacks security cameras. It appeared that a kid took a trading pin and scratched up our entire front hood of our brand new truck. Expensive trip for an average hotel to say the least. I've stayed at hundreds of hotels in various states and never have I had this issue. Would not stay here again.

"Expected A Better Experience for the Price"
Becky H, 10 Août 2023

For almost $300/night, I was expecting a clean hotel/room. When I walked in my room, I could smell a humid/musty smell. I had to get an air freshener for the room. The carpets were gross, desperately needs to be replaced, which I think the smell was coming from. I had gnats in the room. It just didn't smell or feel clean. One staircase from 2nd to 1st floor smelled like a dead animal. The walls and door were very thin. Positives were the pool was warm and it was a nice size. Staff were very friendly. Nice breakfast selection. The bed was very comfortable! Because of the lack of cleanliness, I wouldn't recommend staying here. Maybe 1 night would be ok but not for an extended stay.

"Ok for a one night stay"
Juls082, 09 Août 2023

Average stay. Hotel hallways smelled very stale, room was clean, but there were still stains on walls, curtains, etc. Our windows looked out to the McDonald's drive thru which my kids found hilarious…you could hear people ordering. Location was good, a short drive to a great Italian restaurant and a short drive to baseball hall of fame, but not walkable anywhere (other than the aforementioned Mc Donald's and whatever else is in the plaza across from the hotel) . Breakfast in main house was your standard BW breakfast. There was a pool but we did not use it. We booked this room last minute for a Friday night because we were going to hall of fame on the Saturday morning. Next time I would try to plan better and stay at one of the cute inns on the main strip.

"HORRIBLE!"
AnnettaV V, 06 Août 2023

First, this was an expensive suite ($364 per night) and was not anywhere near suite quality. Walked in the room and had to kill as many flies as we could with a towel. Lighting in the bathroom was pretty much non existent. Beds were horrible (whole in the middle). My husband had to sleep on the sofa bed which wasn't much better. Amenities were only one small shampoo and one small conditioner that weren't even good quality for two people. Nothing else, no lotion, nothing. Two small bars of soap. Kids running up and down the hall until after midnight and upstairs. No sleep. Wouldn't have slept anyway because of the beds. Need new mattresses for heaven sake. Definitely not suite quality. I thought I was treating myself to a suite for the end of our trip. Would NEVER recommend or stay at this place again. Very disappointed. Shame on Best Western charging so much for a suite that was horrible!

"Nice place to stay, close for baseball family's."
Spirkfamily4, 03 Août 2023

Very close to CDP, staff very friendly & best breakfast at a hotel. Countryside scenery yet close to all you need without the big city hassle & noise. Very clean with no cover up smell. We would definitely stay again.

"Great family stay."
Alison G, 02 Août 2023

We were very pleased with our stay this past week. The suite was great to have with lots of room, a good size refrigerator and it was very clean. Everyone thought the beds were very comfortable. The staff were friendly and happy to get anything we needed. My only suggestion would be that they update all the AC units. Our was old and struggled but the room next door that my parents were in had a thermostat on the wall that controlled the AC and it was much cooler. The pool looked nice although small it is plenty to cool off in after a hot day. Breakfast was hot and there was plenty of choices. I would suggest more gluten free options.

"Not welcoming"
U1662UCjohn1, 29 Juillet 2023

broken gym equipment, unwelcoming staff, weird hotel layout. indoor pool is directly next to front counter and lobby with large windows to the lobby with zero privacy. walls are paper thin so expect to hear all of your neighbors and their activities

"So/So"
CindyL965, 18 Juillet 2023

Hotel was so/so, had a funky odor throughout. Room A/C eh. Very close to everything-great location. Breakfast was ok, staff very friendly. I thought was expensive for quality. All in all would recommend due to location.

"Terrible hotel Terrible customer service"
Arlene K, 05 Juin 2023

Our stay in this hotel was one of the worst experiences we've ever had staying in a hotel. We were traveling with my 96 year old mother and booked a handicapped room in advance. When we arrived and checked in we were told our room was in a separate building across 2 parking lots. We drove over to the separate building and parked in the only handicap parking spot and entered the building only to find out the handicapped room was the LAST room at the opposite end of the building. It was too far for mom to walk so she climbed back in the car and we drove to the back of the building where there was a door to a stairwell and door to the outside. There was nothing stating EXIT ONLY. This time we left mom in the car till we were sure we could get into our room. It was a good thing because our keys did not open the outer door. I walked around and tried the keys on our hotel room and they did not work. I opened the back door and propped it open and went across the 2 parking lots to get our room keys fixed. Walked all the way back and they still did not work. Mom is still in the car and still cannot get in to our room and use the bathroom( after an hour and 1/2 drive). Now someone comes and brings more new keys and we can finally get into our room. But the back door still doesn't work. The woman told us they told maintenance 3 or 4 times it doesn't work and they were still waiting for someone to fix it. So I left it propped open so we could get as close to our room as possible. Free breakfast was included but it was so far from our room/building that we were never able to take advantage of it. Ok no breakfast and we leave for the day and come back after a lovely day in Cooperstown. Park in the back and bring mom in the building and AGAIN THE KEYS DO NOT WORK. Call the front desk and waited in the hallway for someone AGAIN to let us in our room all the while mom is standing waiting in the hallway ready to pass out. I asked to speak to a manager but was told he called out sick. Asked to speak to manager the next day and he called out sick again. I think he didn't want to deal with my complaints so we were told he wasn't there. We checked out on the 30th No one offered us anything except a lame apology. When I called from home to speak to the manager he was finally available to take my call. I was still livid at this point and the manager told me he didn't like my attitude. He also lied about the back door being an exit only. There was no sign stating exit only and we were already told by an employee it was broken. At this point I realized the type of person I was dealing with and I asked for Best Western corporate number he told me “look it up on Google” and hung up on me. Just some advice DONT STAY IN BEST WESTERN Cooperstown I called corporate after googling it and wasn't much they could/would do. We will get $100. refunded and 5000 BW points. Considering I will never stay in a BE again it's useless. Oh and I was told by the customer service gentleman that the manager told him to tell me we are now on a no admission list. As if I'd ever go back.

"Great stay in Cooperstown"
whiteheadjoint, 20 Mai 2023

We had no problems with our stay here. They're doing some updating of furniture but it caused us no inconvenience. The staff was very professional and addressed any questions we had. The breakfast was similar to other hotel items but all was fresh and the eating area was clean and tidy. We would stay here again any time.

"Baseball Hall of Fame trip"
B382DMbridgets, 07 Mai 2023

Such a nice hotel. Clean rooms and great hot breakfast. 10 minutes from Baseball Hall of Fame. Quiet, off the main road. Lobby was big with a fireplace in the middle. Pool and gym were included.

"Clean and pleasant motel"
gtrcity, 03 Mai 2023

Great motel just south of Cooperstown. This motel was very clean and up to date. Clean breakfast area with a good selection of foods to start the day. Staff was friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay at this Best Western again.

"A gem for a relaxing but busy visit!"
marlynb975, 09 Janvier 2023

Location is just perfect for seeing the Cooperstown sights and activities with a small shopping center nearby and a bevy of various restaurant styles just down the road. The Inn was spotlessly clean and the beds are the most comfortable of any hotel I have visited. While the reception area is austere, the breakfast menu is the best yet. This deserves a repeat visit over and over again.

"More bang for your buck!"
suzannes710, 21 Novembre 2022

We stayed here during our visit to the Baseball Hall of Fame. We found this hotel on Trip Advisor and it was highly recommended and very reasonably priced! It lived up to the previous reviews! It was clean, tidy, and my 3 teenage boys loved the hot breakfast. The staff was kind and helpful! It was a win-win all around for us!

"Great stay in Cooperstown!"
mdmutton, 13 Novembre 2022

This hotel is a diamond in the rough. It's just outside Cooperstown Village. It is a wonderful facility with great staff. The breakfast was absolutely amazing! There were more choices for breakfast that I have ever seen in my travels to some of the best hotels, the only thing they didn't offer was a made to order options which frankly, would've been overkill. Great room, great service, best bang for your buck! Thanks BW for wonderful experience!

"they advertise a pool but pool is closed and bathroom was dirty"
rachelfX1200UD, 13 Novembre 2022

we brought our mentally disabled grandchild to the baseball hall of fame and reserved at this hotel because they have a pool and my grandchild loves to swim.we checked in and found out that the pool is closed.my grandchild was very disappointed and we told him we would find other fun things to do.we went into the room and the bathroom was dirty.we left the hotel and checked into another hotel down the street.do not waste your money at this hotel.i rate this less than poor.

"Amazingly comfortable"
jvalente333, 03 Novembre 2022

I stayed two nights during the off season. Incredibly comfortable atmosphere and beds. Bathrooms were really clean, easy to check in and out. Right near town and delicious restaurant food. (Burgers) overall nice place to stay

"Cooperstown Best Western"
Mark M, 28 Octobre 2022

HOF and a wedding were made more enjoyable by our stay. We loved the convenience and central location of the hotel in relationship to the Baseball HOF, the Otesago Hotel where the wedding took place and nearby locations. We did some nice running and biking around the Lake.

"Bummer of a stay"
170shannond, 25 Octobre 2022

We were very excited to get away for a rare vacation to Cooperstown! When we walked in, the pool and hot tub we were so looking forward to enjoying were green, and had obviously been broken for a while. Our room had someone's dirty q-tip and tissue on the bathroom floor right next to the garbage can. Not sure how you miss that when cleaning? And also guarantees the floors hadn't been cleaned. Then when I went to take a shower, the last guest's crusty towel was still over the shower curtain bar! Wouldn't that be a spot to always check? I reported the issue to Expedia and they informed me that hotel management would not do anything about these concerns. It's not often I get time to go on vacation and I was very disappointed that in the time I did get, I had a terrible, low level hotel to stay in. I will say the woman who montiored and prepared breakfast was awesome. She seemed very interested in pleasing guests and worked very hard.

"Best Westen in Cooperstown"
Twofarrells, 16 Octobre 2022

This motel was clean and well maintained. Their breakfast was great and very clean. The room was clean and not freezing when you walked in, it was very comfortable. The bathroom was clean and the hot water was really hot not just warm. Everything was great.

"Nice Motel"
David S, 16 Octobre 2022

We were in town visiting the hall of fame. Had a nice stay at the Best Western. Check in people were very helpful with places close by to eat supper. To bad the pool was closed. Breakfast was about normal for most motels that offer a free breakfast.

"Plunging in the pool"
Des P, 11 Octobre 2022

Stayed at Best Western Cooperstown several times. In nearly 50 nights the swimming pool has been open for 1, yes one day, yet they still advertise it. Probably the cheapest quality hotel in the area but when rooms are serviced, the floors quite often don't get vacuumed. On the latest occcaision, the Toilet blocked and reception gave ME a plunger to do it myself. Good job I have a sense of humour (English spelling) Breakfast is repetitive, not a problem if you are only staying a couple of nights I guess. Having ben several times, we have obviosly been in several rooms. The furniture in some is badley damaged.

"Extremely rude staff, poor management"
Kelly M, 06 Octobre 2022

The manager Scott was extremely rude and disrespectful. During check out, he asked how our stay was. I simply said I was disappointed that a) we had to cross the parking lot to access any of the amenities b) ALL of the amenities (pool, hot tub, laundry, ice machine) were out of order and c) breakfast was crowded and out of many items. He responded that there was nothing he could do about it and hung up on me. Plus the room smelled horrible.

"Clean Well-Run Hotel"
QTE2022, 06 Octobre 2022

The title says it all. Solid Management, great breakfast an good location and quiet. And I was hesitant to book it at first but I am very glad I did! In fact all of our 9 friends who stayed there loved it.

"10 minutes away from baseball hall of fame"
D5582PYcindyc, 05 Octobre 2022

Not the best Best Western property I've ever visited, but reasonably convenient if you want to see the baseball hall of fame. Located next to a grocery store. Beds were pretty good, room décor showed some wear and tear, exercise equipment was broken, and pool was out of order/closed.

"Excellent Stay"
PowerTrippersTravel, 16 Septembre 2022

Very nice hotel with a modern flair. From the lobby to the facilities to the rooms, everything was clean, fresh, updated and modern. Check-in was easy, and the rooms were very clean and comfortable. We were just here for a one night stay, but wouldn't hesitate to come back. Highly recommend. -The PowerTrippers

"Enjoyable stay"
drisc0llt, 12 Septembre 2022

We very much enjoyed our brief stay at the Best Western Cooperstown. The front lobby staff was very pleasant and helpful. The buffet breakfast was good ..lots of variety to choose from and very clean. All staff very helpful and room was very nice and clean. Overall would stay there again for sure!

"Rude staff"
Jacqueline T, 07 Septembre 2022

We put a do not disturb sign on our door. Housekeeping proceeded to open our door and try to come in not once, but twice at 8 am and woke us up. We locked it from the inside so it was obvious someone was in there. They didn't stop until I yelled that someone was in there. When I talked to the manager about it he was rude. He acted like it was no big deal and there was nothing he could do. He even laughed when I asked if he could compensate us for it and said he wouldn't do that. I guess this is why you don't stay at Best Westerns. Stuff like this doesn't happen at a Hilton and if something does go wrong, they own up to their mistake and try to make it right by compensating you with points.

"Hair everywhere "
E6134FJkevind, 01 Septembre 2022

I arrived late at night with my son and unfortunately we were met by a number of pieces of hair on one of the beds and in the bathtub. Strike 1. The woman at the front desk gave us a different room...more hair on the beds and an unpleasant stain on the sheet. Strike 2. We were given another room...you guessed it, more hair on the sheet in the bed and on the pillow. Strike 3. The overnight staff could do nothing to help us. I was as pleasant as I could be. It's not their fault and they are not empowered to take any actions to help the customer in this situation. I was ready to go down the street and try my luck at the Holiday Inn Express. I advise you to do that from the start and book your stay there. It's 12:30am. We have no other viable options so we shall stay and talk to the Manager in the morning. Just trying to make a memory with my son going to the Baseball Hall of Fame. Well, we certainly have 1 memory I wish to forget to start off our trip.

"Best of the Best in Cooperstown"
Gregg S, 27 Août 2022

The Best Western is a comfortale hotel with uopdated amenities and a solid breakfast offering. The venue is a short distance from the village of Cooperstown. It is clean, the staff is helpful and professional. The one issue I had was the price - they gouge good customers in the summer when they host all the Little League teams at Dreams Park. The price for a room is absolutely outrageous. Stay there any other time during the year than in the summer.

"They Give Lessons in Bad Customer Service"
Alberto M, 27 Août 2022

We had an overall poor experience at the Cooperstown Best Western from start to finish. Our check-in experience could be a primer for providing bad customer service. Maybe they were recording us? We made reservations over three months prior and I immediately requested a crib. "Sorry, we don't do that," was their curt answer. Off to a poor start. But it gets worse. Three weeks before our stay, I called to re-confirm our reservation, and requesting them "close, if not adjacent." Upon arrival we learned we were not only NOT close (two rooms one floor apart), but one room was in a SEPARATE BUILDING. Desk attendant unwilling to help; his manager even worse, blithely said, "we're booked up, there's nothing I can do." Hard to capture his tone, but he blew us off terribly. The place is just okay, nothing special, but at these prices, you'd expect better service and facilities. PS Baby slept in the bed! No crib!

"Chucks opinion"
cberger6010, 22 Août 2022

Rooms were clean but definitely need updating , especially carpets, the carpets in the hallways are very stained and worn. So value wise a bit over priced and hotel needs updating. Bathrooms were clean and beds sheets were clean also . Mattress was also ok , let's update Best Western !!

"Overpriced given the quality of the experience"
ontheroadtoomuch, 21 Août 2022

First the pros: - Good beds, comfortable sleep. - Clean rooms. - Relatively quiet for a busy hotel. - Friendly staff. The cons: - Badly stained carpeting in the room and hallways. (What goes on here?) - Outdoor trash cans overflowing with beer and liquor bottles. - Breakfast has all the warmth of a prison cafeteria. No attempt was made to make it comfortable and welcoming. (Booths, banquettes,, and tables in a cavernous room are not enough.) - Cold breakfast items were okay but there are limited fruit options and the bread was stale. The hot breakfast items? Powdered scrambled eggs in cold serving trays. Canadian bacon swimming in greasy tepid water. Batter that results in tasteless waffles. All of the above for $300 for one night. Granted, it was a double Queen-bed room but there were no king-bed rooms available and we are two very tall people. And I get that it is “high season” in Cooperstown, but… Two-star experience.

"Hotel"
billyvh61, 18 Août 2022

It was way over priced for what you got....period. I would never stay here or anywhere again for the price based on what you get. I always stay at BW when I travel....when we went to the Creation Museum in Kentucky...the hotel was off the charts....great pool....great breakfast....happy hour for two hours with drinks included....We all loved it...it was cheaper per night as well.....granted it was 8 years ago....never regretted the stay though....in Cooperstown BW....did not get the value at all....place was decent....just way too much money in my opinion

"This place is worse then a dog kennel"
jrgixxer, 04 Août 2022

Extremely rude staff Sink and tub don't drain and nobody cares Manager is a ghost When you find him he tells you your being rude and need to calm down because he doesn't care and knows he's running a waste facility

"Find a better option in Cooperstown"
psjr2022, 28 Juillet 2022

This is essentially a "Spring Break" operated "Motel". Pool broken down and closed. Workout room equipment all broken. Room amenities such as fridge, tv are in poor condition. Staff didn't care that nothing was operable.

"Convenient to dreamspark but definitely not the greatest accommodations."
TinaKornegay, 22 Juillet 2022

Not the greatest place to stay. Seems pretty dated and not the cleanest. The side door does not lock (or was not locked the entire week of my stay). The trash can at the side door overflowed for about three days. The housekeeper did not clean my room the entire 7 days I was there. I had to ask for clean towels several times. The bathtub was not clean when I arrived. The bathtub was also not draining well when I arrived and then progressed to not at all. I had to call several times to get someone down to unclog it. One night there was water pouring from the vent in the bathroom ceiling but it was a solo incident and didn't happen again. One positive is the proximity to dreams park as well as downtown.

"Clean, good service and friendly staff"
monyead, 21 Juin 2022

Nice staying, breakfast was good, we weren't expecting it but it was really good. Pool was nice an clean and the fact that is indoor its a plus. kids enjoyed it. Easy location close to amenities. convenient walking distance Fromm the local supermarket.

"Images are misleading"
Baseballmom801, 19 Juin 2022

2 min from dream park! Don't plan on eating meat or eggs. Sausage and ham are both boiled in water, eggs are powdered. Both really gross. Hot tub is broken and the pool is cold. Manager is grumpy. The gym is two treadmills. The guy running breakfast was nice and works hard he did his best with what they offer.

"Good for a quick stay"
mallen70, 12 Juin 2022

I was looking for a hotel near Cooperstown for my trip, and on the weekend I was originally looking this hotel was going for almost $300, so I chose somewhere else. My flight then got cancelled and I had to rebook everything for the following weekend. Interesting that one week later the BW was now going for $169 so I booked it. The hotel was clean and everyone on staff that I interacted with was very friendly. The room was clean and just what I needed, a place to get a good night's sleep and a decent breakfast in the morning. The location was perfect because it was just a quick couple of minute drive to the Blue trolley lot. As long as the price is reasonable I would stay here again.

"Not what expected"
hammymay, 08 Mai 2022

Their were outlets that were broke and unsafe for kids to be around. The remote to the TV didn't work so we could use the TV. The pool was out of order so that was a disappointment. They put my family in a different building away from the main building that was dirty and unsafe feeling. The main building looked so nice and the building we were in not so nice.

"Ehhh"
Walter W, 26 Avril 2022

Unexceptional hotel with unmemorable rooms, a simple breakfast, and ample parking. Don't be fooled by the advertising claim about a swimming pool. Staff will simply tell you it is closed. No other complaints, and no praise, either.

"An older hotel but spacious rooms, many with a nice view"
JamesMBA, 24 Avril 2022

Hotel has been rebranded and renovated to some degree - but will always look old. Upgrading the furniture in the rooms would be a good idea. On the other hand, large rooms, many with nice views; and a complementary breakfast far better than expected. Price is very reasonable so, in all, can be considered a good value.

"Not too bad. Avoid Scott the manager."
Olweconinc, 16 Avril 2022

The manager Scott is unprofessional and rude. The kitchen is well equipped with good food but there are ants everywhere including on the waffle maker. Pool was broken the entire time I was there. There's only one night staff worker who is amazing and the cleaning staff are wonderful. Other than that it wasn't too bad. If you don't mind being spoken to like you're a two-year-old child who just broke something or spilled some thing and being constantly disturbed by the manager then definitely stay here. If you want to relax and get in the pool but are OK with it being broken the whole time also stay here. If you want to breakfast with ants crawling all over your waffles stay here as well.

"DO NOT STAY HERE!!!"
614abelk, 28 Décembre 2021

I was a traveling nurse staying for a few days, At 6am was at the coffee bar getting a cup, when all I can hear was the front desk lady yelling and swearing so loud and she came out slamming things . My room was ok had a musty smell to it, but when your so tired from a 16hr shift you just want to go to bed anywhere. The only really friendly people there that I had encountered was the gentleman that was cooking breakfast didn't get his name, and the front desk lady with tattoos, was so nice and helpful very knowledgeable about the area, more places should have staff like them. They made my stay there bearable. Water was always cold ,if you let the shower run for 15 min, it got kinda warm. The only reason I would go back is that is a cheap place to lay my head down, better then sleeping in my car.

"Clean and bug free"
Bertram D, 02 Décembre 2021

Ok for a short stay. Minimal amenities. Exists to put up kids for baseball tourism, not to serve experienced travelers who are used to finer amenities. There are worse places in the area from which to choose.

"No Pool or Spa"
franksacTMC, 28 Novembre 2021

Chose this hotel SPECIFICALLY so my son and I could enjoy a swim in the pool and a soak in the spa after our 4 hour drive to the area. Found out at check in the pool was closed. Not much of an apology, more like… “Too bad!, Better luck next time” For extra added fun, my morning shower was FREEZING cold…not exactly a great start to my day and worse because it was 26 degrees out that day. I may as well been camping…I spent a bit extra to book this hotel so I could utilize the pool and take a hot shower in the morning. I got neither of these features for my money.

"Water up to our ankles"
Laurie H, 27 Novembre 2021

The room was spacious( 2 queen beds) there was a refrigerator and microwave. When checking in the gentleman was pleasant. Lobby area was clean and neat. There is an indoor pool but they were replacing pump so this was closed. The breakfast was your typical , eggs, meat, pancakes, bagels and pastries, juice and coffee, tea. Area was clean and the help was kind. The hotel was basically clean. The only problem was both the tub and sink would not drain , you showered with water up to your ankles and when brushing teeth you had to wait a few minutes for water to drain in sink. we unscrewed the shower plug out of frustration and cleaned out the drain . The pictures are gross so beware. If I were to stay here again I would definitely make sure the drains worked properly in the room before checking in.

"Excellent hotel!"
petermkouba, 14 Novembre 2021

We were only looking for a place to crash for the night but wish would had more time to enjoy the amenities and area. The hotel is clean and up to date. Our room was quiet, possibly the quietest hotel room that we've ever had! the site is very nice too with a pretty view out the window. Cooperstown is a pleasant little place that we toured before leaving. Stagecoach Coffee is a must-stop with very good coffee drinks and excellent food choices too!

"Clean, well-lit hotel"
dustythoughts, 07 Novembre 2021

We stayed here for a night while we were visiting the Baseball Hall of Fame, and while this place isn't in the main downtown area (it's a ten-minute drive away), it's still a clean, well-lit hotel that offers everything we needed: a clean, spacious room and a working bathroom. Don't be fooled by this hotel's location in a plaza behind a McDonald's; everything is still accessible and well-maintained. There's free breakfast available, and while it isn't five stars, it's still pretty good. The front desk is staffed 24/7; if someone isn't visible at the front desk, just ring the bell and someone will come out to help you.

"Clean and safe, quick drive to town"
P720FAjaneb, 31 Octobre 2021

I was very pleased with our stay. The rooms were very clean, comfortable and appreciated the mini fridge and microwave as well as the 24/7 coffee/tea station in the lobby. Also, it was only a few minutes to drive into Cooperstown proper, where we never had a problem finding parking. We did not use the pool and hot tub so I can't comment on that. The staff was very friendly.

"Not worth the money"
Inspire667821, 10 Octobre 2021

Stayed Columbus Day weekend for a baseball tournament. Not worth the high price per night they charged. Staff was rude at check in. Shower did not work properly. Barely had hot water. Beds were extremely uncomfortable.

"Like a Holiday Inn Express but a better value."
GoldenKnight70, 06 Septembre 2021

Nice hotel. Similar to a Holiday Inn Express, pancakes, but no cinnamon rolls. Convenient location just a few miles from town. Off a supermarket parking lot, but a small market. Great value, pleasant service. ha

"Great place to stay in Cooperstown!"
njcavalier, 05 Septembre 2021

We thoroughly enjoyed our recent stay at the BW in Cooperstown. Conveniently located on Rt. 28 just 4 miles from downtown, the hotel is close by numerous restaurants and next door to a supermarket in case you need supplies for your trip home. The hotel itself is clean and well maintained, the rooms are large and the beds ultra-comfortable. The included breakfast was adequate to kickstart us for our days out and about.

"Excellent choice for Cooperstown"
Mom2KidsNY, 19 Août 2021

We planned a last minute family getaway and there were very few rooms available in Cooperstown. It was close enough to the downtown area and the Baseball Hall of Fame, while not being over-priced. Good family hotel. Clean with a nice indoor pool, gym and an outdoor fire pit. Hotel employees were all friendly and eager to help. Would choose to stay there again.

"Just ok"
Neatoconchito, 11 Août 2021

We came to visit some family and Cooperstown. The hotel offered us the sleeping arrangement we prefer and the location. We only stayed 2 nights. The pool was opened and the kids had a great time. The breakfast was typical with eggs, meat, bread, and hash along with pancakes, coffee, juice, bakery items. The overall hotel could use a bit of updating and cleaning. Our beds were just ok and our family couldn't wait to get back home and sleep in our own beds. The front desk staff always seemed preoccupied when I checked in and every time I came to the desk to inquire about different things.

"Amazing stay!!!"
brianweigand800, 09 Août 2021

Stayed overnight for a concert nearby. The location was clean and the staff was friendly. The Room was nice and comfortable. I most definitely will come back here if I am in the area again. Great stay!!!

"A clean and comfortable stay"
ArtAnderson, 06 Août 2021

If you're looking for problems, you'll probably find them, but you'll be nitpicking. The room was clean and very comfortable, the facilities were well maintained, and the breakfast was some of the best hotel breakfast I've ever had! I don't think you can go wrong here!

"Terrible experience, mice & rude staff"
Adventurer676512, 04 Août 2021

The only thing this hotel had going for it is it's location and lack of other options in the area. During my stay on 8/1-2, 2021 my children and the children of at least 4 other guests had been swimming in the pool when it was discovered there was a dead mouse in the pool. We had everyone get out of the pool and notified the front desk worker of the issue. She came into the pool area and closed it down. The morning of 8/2, upon checking out and requesting the issue be documented regarding my stay, the General Manager (Scott- refused to provide his last name) denied a mouse was found despite me showing him the picture. He proceeded to show me a container of “what was found” in the skimmer being a fuzz ball and some bugs. These bugs and fuzz ball can be seen in my photo alongside the dead mouse! At this time, there was another family using the pool and due to the GM denying there was an issue I checked the filter again only to find another mouse! I alerted the family using the pool at the time to the issue and they got out of the pool. I brought the basket with the dead mouse in it to the GM and he continued to state he did not know what it was. I am extremely concerned that this issue is being blatantly ignored by the hotel manager, putting any guest that uses that pool at risk of being exposed to germs and disease from vermin. I have never experienced such terrible customer service as I did from the GM at this hotel. He was rude, demeaning, threatening, and refused to take any responsibility for this issue until I contacted Priceline and the corporate office of Best Western. I have also notified the county Health Department of this problem as they clearly are not dealing with it and we all know when there are 1 or 2 mice found, 100s more are close by! I am still awaiting a resolution from the hotel and awaiting follow up from the Health Department. Beware staying at this hotel! We moved to the Comfort Inn down the street and found it to be clean and welcoming…stay there instead!

"Terrible do not go to this hotel"
Culture265231, 04 Août 2021

Terrible place. Staff was rude, hotel is filthy. We found a dead mouse in the pool. Brought it to front desks attention, they closed down the pool and reopened it hours later. When we asked if the pool was cleaned out, they told us there wasn't a mouse. We went back into pool area and looked in the filter, and behold, a dead mouse. The manager, Scott, told us we were liars and tried to pass off the mouse for a piece of lint. We told him we were going to call the health department as the pool should be closed down and he threatened to call the police on us. We checked out and went down the street to Comfort Inn and had an amazing experience there. Do not go to Best Western. I have pictures of dead mouse as well.

"Awful stay"
bhowens93, 23 Juillet 2021

Whole building smelled like smoke. Front desk attendant told me they knew it smelled and they sprayed febreeze 2 times a day to try and cover it up. Air conditioner sounded like it was about to fall off the wall n

"Great Breakfast"
Ksodip, 21 Juillet 2021

Good value and breakfast was the best. Good variety. Hostess was extremely friendly and accommodating. She definitely made everyone feel welcomed. Rooms were clean and checkout was easy. Would stay there again.

"No hot water"
815jayl, 03 Juillet 2021

As we were checking in, they informed us they had no hot water in the hotel. Their repairman just arrived but they had no idea how long they would be without hot water. Needless to say, we did not complete the checkin and scrambled to find an alternate hotel down the street with functioning hot water. The BW front desk did not offer any compensation aside from cancelling our reservation. Very disappointed with BW-Cooperstown.

"best place to stay"
Pat B, 02 Juillet 2021

I have been going to Best Western for the past 3 years for my business and vacation stays. I have been experienced very friendly staff as well as clean rooms and great service. If I ever asked for anything it was handled right away.

"Don't consume water! What?"
Donald J, 29 Juin 2021

Don't consume water was sign received upon check in. We will provide you with bottled water. Are we able to brush our teeth? I wouldn't says the check in clerk. That should never have to be the clerks response. Why not close and correct the issue. Must say didn't even shower in the potential E. Coli water. Perhaps the correction would be to cancel reservations , so we would have a choice of a hotel that had clean water. C'mon Best Western, you should be better than this issue.

"Great Stay"
WILLIAM W H, 28 Juin 2021

Great hotel. Served a hot breakfast, which was wonderful. Room was comfortable. Staff was very attentive and pleasant. Worked with us when we had to change reservations at the last minute. Nice, clean building, very attractive.

"A bit pricey but clean and nicely decorated hotel"
ginasB9670ZG, 22 Juin 2021

We booked this for my Dad for father's day. He wanted a hotel with a pool near Cooperstown. The pool was tiny, he wouldn't even go in it. also, the hotel shower has no grab bars or anti-slip in the tub. He couldn't shower. I asked if they had any other rooms but they only had one and it was booked. I am surprised since it caters to older people. It was nicely decorated and clean. The beds were very hard and the pillows were odd, square and small.

"Perfect Cooperstown stay"
rocdoc304, 30 Mai 2021

A very clean property. The bed was comfortable and the shower had good water pressure. Our room faced out to rolling Hills and was extremely quiet. We were also pleasantly surprised that there were some hot food options for breakfast in spite of the pandemic

"The Perfect Hotel For Me!"
momfred711, 25 Mai 2021

Spent 4 nights there while visiting my son in a nearby hospital. The hotel was immaculate, comfortable, provided the necessary amenities and the staff was friendly and happy to help. They even had a beautiful swimming pool which I didn't take advantage of and laundry room that was a godsend since my stay had to extended by 3 days.

"Average Best Western "
michaelaf2323, 24 Mai 2021

Overall the stay was fine. Hotel was clean. Breakfast had good options. Service was not great. They seemed annoyed about everything. The shower was a little gross and outdated, but the bed was comfy. They also have a pool and its open with restrictions.

"Excellent!"
sallyann73, 16 Mai 2021

Check in was a little slow but I think it was during shift change so no big deal. the room was very spacious and our whole suite was exceptionally CLEAN!. Staff was friendly and helpful. We did not partake in breakfast but others seemed to be very happy with it. We would definitely stay here again if in the area.

"Visiting the HOF"
ilovemycats, 24 Avril 2021

We stayed for 2 nights during a quick get away visit to the Hall of Fame and Fenimore Museum. The room was large and comfortable. It was also very clean. There is a refrigerator, microwave, and K cup coffee maker. Breakfast was available as was coffee and tea. I would definitely recommend this as a good option for staying in the Cooperstown area.

"Awesome place."
agrafov, 22 Janvier 2021

Very nice place to stay in wonderful Upstate NY. Great location, nice building, comfortable and clean rooms. Professional and friendly personnel. Not far from great outdoor activities in Adirondack area.

"Clean, friendly"
Odyssey6250679018576, 11 Janvier 2021

Speedy check in, clean room, hotel. We stayed at this hotel to take the kids swimming at the indoor pool. The pool is nice, heated. Only downfall is that the hot tub was out of order. Due to covid it is 10 person limit in the pool area

"Not bad during Covid"
PRHOakland_NewJersey, 08 Novembre 2020

A nice clean hotel in a great location, with a supermarket, liquor store, McDonalds, subway and other stores including Dollar general that are a few feet away and you can walk to. There was no maid service due to covid which wasnt great and you can reserve the pool for 45 mins to yourself. The breakfast is a grab and go you choose from 4 items along with coffee or tea, you pretty much have to eat in your room. The hotel has a great breakfast area when it's not during covid. It's about 3 miles from The Hall of Fame. oh the walls are very thin, which made things a bit loud! But a nice place ...during Covid!

"Great place to stay"
Patricia S, 13 Octobre 2020

We did not have a reservation when we got to Cooperstown. Saw the Best Western on line and it was given a good rating, So we decided to stay here. The clerk was very courteous. We were given the senior discount for the room. You are located by Pizza Hut and McDonalds. Plus a grocery store and a Dollar General, Unfortunately the Pizza Hut was closed due to the pandemic. So we drove back to town which is 3 miles away. We were hungry for pizza. The New York Pizza place on Chestnut St was very good. The room was very nice. The next morning they provided you with a very nice breakfast in a bag. The hostess was very nice with letting you pick out what items you wanted in your bag. The whole hotel was very clean and everyone worn a mask as required.

"Poorly run hotel"
stone0705, 12 Octobre 2020

Me and my family stayed at the Best Western Cooperstown for Columbus Day weekend 2020. We've been to Cooperstown many times before but since this was the year of Covid, many hotels/inns were not open or were booked for the weekend (for a frame of reference we have stayed at the Otesaga hotel and different inns around the town). The hotel looks decent and they seem to have done some recent renovations. My issue is that I booked a King suite room online directly through their website and when I got there, the front desk clerk told me they don't offer that type of room. They were going to give me a standard room but still charge me the King suite price (and additional $200). The front desk clerk was rude and unprofessional when I asked for this to be rectified. She eventually made adjustments to my price but did it while letting me know that I was being a burden to her because she had many other things to do at that moment. Fast forward, we end up checking out the next day and not staying for our full reservation. We didn't like the hotel, there were bugs in our room, and it wasn't making for a nice trip for my family. Upon checking my bank statement, they charged me the FULL price for my original reservation. When I called Best Western customer service they too were rude and unprofessional. After a very frustrating conversation, my rate is being adjusted but I just can't understand how a company can allow their employees to treat customers the way they do. I will not be staying at a Best Western property again, and specifically the one in Cooperstown NY.

"A great place to stay"
mikeymoose1421, 26 Septembre 2020

When I arrived Elaine welcomed me . Check in was easy was recognized as a gold member and was offered points or a bag. The room was nice and comfortable. Breakfast was a grab and go but they had a nice variety of food to choose from. Was given suggestion for restaurants in the area. A lot to choose from. The people were friendly. Check out was nice when in the area I will be back.

"No frills hotel in Cooperstown"
Dewayne P, 08 Septembre 2020

This was just what you can expect for a decent night's sleep. It is not extravagant, had everything you need, and had courteous reception staff. The room was clean. There is a McDonald's next door if you don't want the grab-and-go breakfast they offer during the COVID situation. It is a close drive to downtown Cooperstown.

"Extremely Disappointed "
amattam209, 08 Août 2020

Stayed one night here while visiting Cooperstown. As a Best Western rewards member I usually try to stay at one. I realize we are in the middle of a national crisis. This hotel offers nothing but a room. At check in we were not even recognized as reward members, given no upgrade , or addition reward points. The lobby area is closed off as is the pool area. Upon going to our room there was no indication, signage, notice, etc that the room had been cleaned and disinfected to Covid 19 standards. Lastly the breakfast consisted of a bottle of water and a package of Drakes coffee cakes. No value for the money I paid.

"Best time at the Best Western"
twinskin, 06 Août 2020

As an avid baseball fan, I've been wanting to come to Cooperstown forever to see the Hall of Fame. I had booked the room while everything was closed and I'm thankful that everything opened for me to stay at this hotel. The hotel is conveniently located near dining, as well as attractions. The property is beautiful and I had no issues with check-in or anything else. The room was clean and very comfortable. The indoor pool was nice and breakfast was more than adequate. I highly recommend the Best Western for anyone visiting the Cooperstown area.

"SPIDERS, SPIDERS EVERYWHERE!!!"
ACapDiaz, 06 Août 2020

We checked in last night for our 3-night stay to find that our room was infested with huge spiders. By the time my husband killed the 5th one, I went down to speak with the woman at the front desk. She was very sweet and very apologetic and switched our room. The new room was spider-free and clean although the sheer curtains were shredded and for some reason the fire alarm was wrapped in plastic. This morning we headed out and noticed the hallway ceiling had some pretty large spiders. We were glad to be heading out. Upon our return in the afternoon, once again, there were huge spiders everywhere- the ceilings and walls. You could literally watch them crawling from a good distance. Needless to say, we just checked out, losing the last 2 nights. When I checked out, the man at the front desk did not even bother asking if enquiring was okay, just "you're all set". I guess this must be a regular occurrence. I get that they are located in a very rural area but make some effort to keep things clean. This is simply not acceptable for any hotel.

"We Would Return and Have Already Recommended to Friends"
susanwinetasting, 30 Juillet 2020

The staff was friendly and helpful when we arrived. I had booked a standard room on-line, and was offered choice of handicap or king upon arrival. The pool is open but requires check-in. A grab-and-go breakfast was available as well as fresh coffee. While walking down the hall I could hear into other rooms, but once in our room I could no longer hear others. The room was very comfortable and had a refrigerator and microwave. It's south of town but not too far and there is plenty of parking.

"covid Summer"
DenDenBren, 28 Juillet 2020

Check in was easy-- Room was clean but my we still wiped down a lot of handles etc because of Covid 19-to use TV remote we put it in a plastic bag. the position of the table lamp should be on the table between the two queen beds because it had plug etc, for cell phone. Water pressure in bathroom was occasionally slow---The AC worked well . There are only 2 floors and we thought there should have been hand sanitizer near elevator on 2nd floor.

"Very nice"
Climber55293, 13 Mars 2020

Good, quality clean hotel. Currently undergoing construction in some public rooms but that didnt affect my stay. Staff was great, breakfast was good with nice choices, pool was warm and clean. I loved the complimentary toiletries- they smelled nice, which I normally dont care for.

"Great hotel"
ssjoshy1028, 25 Janvier 2020

Evrything was awesome, great value. Pool with hot tub. Breakfast was quite good. Staff was friendly. Located near a grocery store which is really convenient if you forget something. I would defonitely use this hotel again

"New Years stay"
joeyfeingold, 08 Janvier 2020

Had to come up on New Years Day due to a family member being hospitilized. One of the nicest hotels I have stayed at. There was work being done in the lobby and in a room adjoining the breakfast room to make it even better. Winter is obviously the off season in Cooperstown. Many of the area restaurants and businesses were shut down for the winter. Rooms were excellent, very clean .Hotel staff was friendly, courteous and very helpful. In my opinion, worth the price that you pay, where other chains are over priced. Hotel located right off of Rt 28, which goes right into town. Convenient location. Highly recommend to anyone coming up to the area.

"Nice place"
Edward1976, 03 Décembre 2019

This place was nice, staff was professional and friendly. Room was clean shower pressure worked great. They stay on top of snow removal during a snow storm so there was plenty of parking. Breakfast was good

"great stay"
sperf86085, 18 Novembre 2019

been coming to this hotel every year for 10 years ,always clean courteous and efficient ! I recommends it to anyone who is going to be in this area ! breakfast is always good and the beds are super comfortable;e

"Just ok"
ginjor62, 15 Novembre 2019

Room was clean but had a strong BO smell. They are renovating the hotel so that may be why, but it was very unpleasant. A 2-3” gap under the door allowed you to hear every conversation that took place in the hall. It is close to the tourist attractions and I got a great rate, no doubt because of the time of year.

"Visitor"
Counselor68, 06 Novembre 2019

The hotel was close to the hall of fame. Front desk very friendly however room was in room of improvement. Bed had a huge indentation in the middle. Kept rolling into it. Carpet seem dirty. Breakfast was ok. Coffee not so ok

"Great rest stop on the way to The Baseball Hall of Fame"
SueA606, 05 Novembre 2019

We stayed here prior to visiting the Baseball Hall of Fame. The rooms were clean and comfortable and they have an indoor heated pool which our grandson loved. This was very convenient to local dining and the Hall of Fame.

"Have your lock pick with you!!"
James L, 01 Novembre 2019

Outside entrance to hotel, did not function very well at all. We stood there attempting time after time to gain access to the hotel, until 'finally', I guess we 'GOT LUCKY' and the lock released, and were 'ALLOWED' to gain acess.

"Pleasure Trip"
donnafutrell, 25 Octobre 2019

This was a very nice and clean place. I loved the heated pool. We made a quick trip to Cooperstown just to visit the baseball hall of fame. It was a great town and a great hotel. I would certainly stay there again and recommend it to anyone.

"Just Fair"
13phillytraveller, 18 Octobre 2019

Stayed here on visit to Baseball Hall of Fame. Hotel is in the middle of a remodel. Business center has been eliminated which was not mentioned on the website. Fitness center was okay. Cable TV service worst ever. No channel guide and no ability to change stations without using arrow function. Breakfast was marginal. The scrambled eggs had never been near a chicken. Perhaps the remodel should have included a linen upgrade. The sheets were pilling and the towels were frayed.

"Cold showers"
Deanna H, 15 Octobre 2019

Unfortunately, our entire stay (a long week-end) at this location was problematic because of the lack of hot water in the morning for showers. If we were up before 7:15 am, then we had a brief shot at a hot shower, but if not, it was tepid at best and cold at worst. With my husband and son playing in a baseball tournament that weekend, the ability to take a hot shower in the morning was really important. While the location was convenient, I would not stay here again if there wasn't a guarantee of hot water.

"Uncomfortable and noisy"
chiefsafety, 09 Octobre 2019

This inn is located just outside of downtown Cooperstown, so it is convenient to the town. That's about where it EMS though. The hotel has paper thin walls and is very noisy. The rooms were clean but the beds were very hard and uncomfortable. If there was another place that had availability we would have left to go there. The staff at this inn were very nice and attentive though so it did help.

"Cooperstown"
Camper706532, 06 Octobre 2019

Convenient place to stay for overnight trip to Cooperstown but we needed a car to get to museum and shopping Friendly and helpful staff that let us check in early when we arrived at noon. Breakfast room very crowded

"Hall of Fame"
ZMAN1951, 05 Octobre 2019

Beautiful quaint town ... reminiscent of how life use to be and they are keeping it that way. Only mom and pop type stores. I love it and would highly recommend. It to all youngsters for it shows how life was respected.

"Overnight stay"
Jeanette M, 01 Octobre 2019

I stayed here last weekend. I did not find the hotel very clean. The lobby rug was very dirty. The furniture in the lobby was old and stained. My room smelled musty. I could not wait to go home and take a shower. There was a stain on the furniture in my room. I would not recommend this place for the amount of money they charged.

"In a plaza"
JaninePor, 29 Septembre 2019

Nice place. There are trees all around that will be beautiful in the fall. We went in late September and the leaves were just starting to change. The shuttle to Cooperstown is not far. I loved that it's in a plaza with a grocery store, Chinese food place, liquor store and a McDonalds. We had a microwave and a refrigerator. The pool was nice and I love that it had a hot ub. We used the hot tub after a day of visiting the Hall of Fame. There are some nice restaurants not too far away. The staff at the desk was very helpful in picking out a place to go. Some of the other reviews noted that the bathroom door sticks. Ours did too. We found that you have to lift the door up a little and it will close. The air conditioner is a little noisy when it come on but it works well, keeping the room cool. Oh and I would like to commend the man who kept the breakfast room in order. He was by himself and he did a great job making sure all the food was filled and the room was clean. I was impressed! Another review noted that the breakfast room is not good for teams. I have to agree, it is too small to handle a baseball team for breakfast. They were renovating so hopefully they are making the breakfast area bigger. Oh and the renovations did not interfere with our visit at all.

"Great 2 day stay"
George & Barbar J, 24 Septembre 2019

When searching for our trip to Cooperstown saw this hotel and since we have never stayed at a BW thought we would give it a try, glad we did. Room was very nice especially the microwave, fridge, and coffee maker. Bathroom was very nice and looked newish. Not a fan of the AC unit in the room but was quiet enough and like that we could set a temp. The mattresses could use a turning over there was s gully/hump in it or a updating with maybe memory foam on top we have one called the cloud and just melts around you and not expensive. The bed springs a little rough, pillows were good. Sorry we didn't bring a suit for the pool could have used it after walking all day pool looked inviting. Coffee and hot water in the lobby was a nice to have and the breakfast was excellent and changed both days great waffle and pancakes. Would absolutely stay again and would recommend to any one. PS the oriental restaurant in the shopping center was excellent and well priced another recommendation.

"great value and rennovated"

Rooms had been freshly renovated, and the price relative to quality of room was fantastic. Conveniently close to baseball hall of fame. Would recommend this hotel highly and will be a return visitor on future trips.

"Perfect Location for Dreamspark!"
ProudGrandparents043, 07 Septembre 2019

Our four-night trip to this hotel had a wonderful location. With some fast-food restaurants literally in the parking lot (!) and it's close proximity to Dreamspark we couldn't t have asked for mo. The price was high, but ALL the hotels are high when Dreamspark is open.

Ok. Drab. suburban hotel. Clean, friendly staff, but just drab. If you need a room for a tournament or camp or are heading the HOF, it works. If you are looking for romance or excitement stay in Downton Cooperstown.

"Close to Dream Park"
arlynesullivan, 28 Août 2019

The Best Western cost of a single King room was outrageous 904.67 for 3 nights .With an AARP discount .. Taking advantage Of retired Nanie and Grampy wanting to watch oldest grandson play baseball at Dream Field Cooperstown.. Bed uncomfortable Lamp completely broken other 3 lights only one low watt bulb hard to read water on bathroom floor vents in breakfast room ABSOLUTELY FILTHY for 904.67 was tough to pay that bill..

Extremely comfortable. Was aforesaid that 4 people in the room would be a little tight but we were all comfortable. The breakfast in the morning was good. The do-it yourself waffles were excellent. Room was clean. Only problem in the room was the bathroom door was difficult to open and close. Pool and hot tub were clean as well. Staff was very nice.

I love Trip Adviser but never write a review and was always hoping my first would be a positive one . Unfortunately not the case . When we first checked in every thing was fine the staff was great and helpfull throughout our stay . When we checked into room 128 there was a terrible musty smell . We asked to move and the Hotel receptionist did so . But again there was that musty smell . She showed us 3 more rooms after that all with that terrible smell . So we asked to be moved in the building next to the McDonald's which is separate from the main older building. The receptionist said see could not because they were suites only and there were all sold out . Other problems internet was out . Construction going on in the hotel and not boarded up properly so the bugs were getting in . Half the tv stations did not work . Stains on the coaches were horrible. Cold showers every morning . I called corporate and made a report only for them not to call me back . Bummer!! The positive - the staff was friendly the pool was nice and clean . The breakfast area was clean and the food was alright .

The people at Front Desk are friendly and helpful. A bit expensive for this level of accommodation. Room was clean. Mattresses in dire need of replacement. Location is easy to access Shuttle into Cooperstown.

"Satisfactory visit"
melissam38, 14 Août 2019

Clean rooms, small indoor pool, convenient location. Adequate breakfast included with plenty of choices. Located within a parking lot of a strip mall that has a grocery store, McDonald's etc. The drive into Cooperstown village very short. Plenty of hotel parking. Staff very friendly and helpful. Good for families.

"Nice stay"
Grammyof408, 10 Août 2019

Rooms are clean & pretty spacious. Staff is super! Friendly & very accommodating! Needs a little refreshing. Curtains in our room were torn and linens a little worn. Towels were frayed & sheets very thin. Beds very comfortable. Didn't get to use the pool, but it looked really nice.

"Met our Needs"
John P, 23 Juillet 2019

Needed a place for the night in Cooperstown and Best Western fit the bill. The fitness area is small, however they have indicated that the new expansion will create a larger space. Beds were comfortable and the shower / tub had good water pressure and temperature. Noise level was okay. Breakfast area was clean and the food was kept replenished as needed. Waffles and pancakes as well as the usual scrambled eggs, sausage and hash. If we're in the area again we will definitely look at staying at the Best Western again ... sometimes average is good enough.

"Cooperstown"
btmx3, 23 Juillet 2019

This is a great location if visiting the area, particularly is your 12 year old is playing in a Cooperstown summer tournament. The location is near the fields, but you are not allowed to walk into the Cooperstown baseball complex, McDonald's is directly in front of the hotel for quick meals. A grocery store is immediately next door. The price for the week was acceptable. The front desk staff is wonderful. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The hotel was undergoing major renovations to its lobby, business center, and they may be expanding their limited gym facility,, so good things are happening here in regards to those items. Washer and dryer are available at an acceptable cost. We did not try the indoor pool or hot tub, but other guests were enjoying these amenities. Our major complaints dealt with the eggs at breakfast and a security door that we were never told was broken and when it was repaired we discovered our key card did not function with the entry lock. The breakfast choices are plentiful. So if eggs are not your thing as they are ours, their is fresh fruit, yourt choices, cereals, sausage, bacon, waffles, pancakes, and plenty of hot coffee and tea. All in all, the rating is fair, but with the upgrades and repairs this location will be outstanding.

"The Hotel of "No"-not baseball team friendly"
LVLN, 19 Juillet 2019

Pro's: Great location from Cooperstown Village, Dreams Park & situated in a plaza surrounded by a supermarket, coffee shop & plenty of dining options. Con's: Let me start by saying this is not a team friendly hotel for visiting baseball players & parents. There is a tall young male employee with glasses and whitish hair that is constantly following everybody around and telling them to stop anything they are doing. He even approached parents on numerous occasions and harassed them, especially in the pool area. The kids told us after we checked out that he was constantly following them around and they felt intimidated. You may want to speak with desk staff about this gentleman if staying here. There is no central dining hall or room where teams can meet or have a meal. The breakfast area used in the morning would be optimal but was constantly off-limits. The Holiday Inn next door does allow people to use their dining hall when its available. The hotel room bathroom door AND the closet door would NOT close, it was almost like it had warped and couldn't be closed even if forced. Several parents had issues with towel service & the A/C in their rooms. The coffee in the lobby was rarely fresh and usually cold. The hotel is severely overpriced for what you get, definitely would not recommend a team stay here even in light of its proximity to Dreams Park.

"Cooperstown, NY"
Marian P, 16 Juillet 2019

We had a excellent stay very friendly, helpful staff. The rooms were cleaned quickly and the staff professional. There was a good variety for breakfast. Coffee and tea was available all day in the lobby, they also had a small corner to purchase snacks.

"Very enjoyable"
AAABulldog, 01 Juillet 2019

This hotel was very nice. It was recently renovated. Rooms were very spacious (king room) and everything was easily accessible. Good location and quiet. Most of the staff was super friendly (except the gentleman at checkout who seemed like I was disturbing him). Check in staff were very helpful and gave great recommendations for places to eat. Not disappointed.

"Overpriced basic noisy hotel "
CF511, 01 Juillet 2019

The hotel common areas are going through renovations. It would be nice if this information was communicated on the website or after booking. The second floor room was very noisy. There is poor noise insulation from the conversations in the hallway and the room. My wife needed to frequently late in the evening open the room door and ask other guests to quiet down. In the morning the complimentary coffee in the lobby was cold. It must have been sitting all night. When I commented to the front desk attendant, he acknowledged it wasn't fresh and that he hadn't gone to get fresh coffee because he had a sprained foot. The fitness center doesn't open until 8:30am which is too late if you want to get a workout in before breakfast or before departing for the Hall of Fame. The breakfast was disappointing since the egg and American cheese omelet were prepackaged and reheated by the staff. There was no precut fresh fruit but there were bananas, small apples and the smallest oranges to peel. This hotel is clean and very basic and therefore overpriced and not a good value. I suggest you look elsewhere for a better hotel.

"Cooperstown for Baseball"
Compass01118968083, 21 Juin 2019

Staff were very pleasant. the location was very good for the Dream Park Baseball. Breakfast was ok most days, but could have been better. The maid staff was excellent and very pleasant as were the front desk staff.

"I wouldn't ever again"
JimRawlings, 20 Juin 2019

We stayed here and we believe it is the worst value for what they charge that we have ever experienced. We've traveled 8 months over the past four years, all over this country and stayed at every hotel brand. We don't go cheap, but this stay was exceedingly expensive, certainly related to what we received. There were multiple cleaning issues throughout the hotel and our room. We had to bring multiple issues with the front desk. We also had issues with no hot water for showers. While they did give us $100 credit back to our account, it was till too expensive for that level of service and lack of cleanliness.

"BW-Cooperstown"
Wander68519632429, 15 Juin 2019

Nice, clean hotel. We thought it was a little pricey even with our discount. Continental breakfast was ready on time and there were many food options. We enjoyed our visit to Best Western-Cooperstown.

"Bed Bugs"
Sightsee634081, 12 Juin 2019

My husband received 15+ bed bug bites. I called after our check out and no one returned my call. I e-mailed corporate and after two days no one reached out to me. Quite stressful trying to treat your luggage and cloths to make sure I didn't bring them home with me. :(.

"Nice Place"
ricardomnt, 03 Juin 2019

We stayed at the BW Cooperstown recently. We had made reservations. The Inn is a few miles south of the Baseball Hall of Fame but only a 10 minute drive. Staff were quite friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and king bed comfortable. The complimentary breakfast was a good hot buffet.

"Comfortable & Good Location"
ejplum, 03 Juin 2019

The Best Western was a good place to stay with clean rooms and a good selection for their breakfast. The staff was friendly enough and were willing to answer questions about the area. They are still in the midst of some renovations, but that didn't interfere with our stay. This location is next to a small shopping center that has a breakfast/lunch restaurant, grocery store, liquor store, health center and Subway. The hotel wasn't far from the parking location where you can catch the trolley which goes into the city. The prices were reasonable. You can get a pass for several days or it's $2 per day and they run until 9:00 pm.

"Good location"
Slkinz, 30 Mai 2019

The hotel staff were very friendly on check in & check out. Good room accommodations. Found out there are 2 buildings--one with the lobby & swimming pool and an additional site. We were not in the main building which made us double think about using the pool. Would have liked a bag cart to take out things to our room, but didn't see one in the lobby for 2 days. I was told they have 2 per building--should put a sign out that says return the carts so others can use them (figure someone was too lazy to return the cart for others to use). Only other suggestion is to have a menu guide on the television. A list of channels does not help to see what is on & there are travelers from all over that their stations are different than here. Good location to pick up the trolley to downtown.

"A nice comfortable home Away from home"
Fearless19326537833, 27 Mai 2019

I made a suggestion for a different brand of coffee! This is very important for a lot of people away from home! Suggested benches in the front entrance. This would make the experience a plus. Ty Bonnie

"Enjoyed Our Visit"
LuvSoccerMom, 20 Mai 2019

We were very pleased with our stay. The hotel is a little outside of Cooperstown, within a quite manageable driving distance. There is a strip mall beside the hotel with a coffee shop, liquor store, and grocery store. Our room was very nice and clean. We did not experience noise issues while we were there, even though there is currently construction going on. The front desk and other staff were very friendly and handled our requests quickly and with smiles.

"Updated rooms, clean, and good location."
msnyder12, 15 Mai 2019

Hotel is being remodeled, but the room we stayed in was updated, clean, and spacious! The reason for the 4* is this property has two separate buildings. You check in one but we were placed in the front building, so we had to load the suitcase back up and drive over. Also in the morning the breakfast was in the first building where you check in. Breakfast is in a large room with a good selection of food (your typical hotel breakfast) what was nice was they had hash along with the eggs and sausage.

"Excellent price for a well-appointed motel"
VAcouple48, 08 Mai 2019

The rooms were clean and very comfortable, and the free breakfast had excellent choices and variety, all fresh. The location very good for nearby places to eat and to pick up necessaries. Would be very good for families with a small pool great for kids.

"Typical hotel just south of Baseball Hall of Fame"
CindyC8484, 06 Mai 2019

If you want a reliable hotel experience, the Best Western in Cooperstown should satisfy. There are more charming places to stay closer to the Hall of Fame, but if you don't mind a short drive and don't need anything special, this is okay. There is a small shopping center immediately adjacent to the hotel with a grocery story, a dollar store, a hair salon, a liquor store, and a small restaurant. Also a McDonald's.

"Good location "
Michael S, 01 Mai 2019

We went for highschool baseball game and Baseball HOF. Location is great, hotel is par to sub par at best. Rooms are dated. Bathroom door would not close, room door would not close on own without slamming it. Room was clean. Lobby is in process of renovation but currently a mess. Breakfast was standard fare on par with a Hampton or the like. Pool area was depressing and plain. We only stayed here because the team was staying there.

"Average hotel, but Location was great!"
Kristine_LongIsland, 28 Avril 2019

My husband and I just returned from a 2-night stay. It was Spring Break, but still the off-season in Cooperstown so we secured a great rate for our stay. We have stayed in many Best Westerns and this wasn't the best, but nowhere near the worst. There were renovations going on, but it didn't disrupt our stay. The hotel is adjacent to a small shopping center with McDonald's, Pizza Hut, Tops supermarket, Family Dollar, Subway, a liquor store, Chinese place, and coffee shop. There was ample parking. Location was key for us as we were in town to visit the Baseball Hall of Fame and some of the local breweries. The hotel is located on Route 28 and was a 10-minute ride into the village of Cooperstown. The breweries and Cider Mill & Orchard were all within 5 or 6 miles of the hotel. The area is easy to navigate and was a peaceful area to travel around. The hotel is average and has two buildings. We booked a king room and it was your standard hotel room. There was a refrigerator and microwave in the room, which was nice. The air conditioner worked well, but it was on the noisy side. My one complaint was the bathroom. There was a fan, but ventilation was still lacking. Our shower only had a shower curtain (no liner) which didn't fully block the water from the shower. We had to put towels on the floor so we didn't flood the bathroom. The hotel has a small pool and a hot tub in the main building. The pool area is small, so I'm not sure how many families could actually enjoy the pool in comfort. I could see it getting crowded very easily if the hotel was fully booked. Complimentary breakfast is always nice, but it wasn't anything special. They offered basics, coffee/juice, yogurt, cereal, oatmeal, breads, danish, a pancake and wafflemaker and three hot items. The food wasn't great, but again, it's free. I felt bad for the woman in charge of the area, she couldn't keep up with refilling all of the food options. The other guests were so impatient and acted like scavengers when things were refilled. We opted to skip breakfast the next morning since the room was so overcrowded. Overall, I would stay at this hotel again for the same rate. It was a decent choice for a quick stay in Cooperstown.

"Comfortable lodging"
Susan R, 16 Avril 2019

We stayed at the Best Western, Cooperstown, NY while visiting the national Baseball Hall of Fame. It was in easy driving distance to the center of Cooperstown and the attractions there. The room was comfortable and spacious, plenty of room for a family. It was especially convenient to have an indoor pool on premises and to have a complimentary hot & cold breakfast buffet in the morning before heading out to explore.

"Best western cooperstown"
Rosemarie T, 12 Avril 2019

I was disappointed that there are no safety bars in the tub/shower. The bottom of the shower is slippery and when turning around there isn't anything safe to hold on to. People coming in 10:30pm or later and walking down the hallway talked as if they are outside and had no consideration for those already sleeping. Hotel staff arrived 5:45am/6am and they too talked as if they were the only one there -- no consideration for guests sleeping. The breakfast food is not that good unless you have muffins, bagels, fresh fruit, yogurt, make your own waffles, oatmeal packets. The eggs, fried potatoes, and such were terrible. Coffee and juice were good. When sitting in the desk share in the room, the chair tipped way back and you felt like you would be falling over.

"April Stay for Museum Association of NY conference "
mattm49, 09 Avril 2019

We had 5 people in a junior suite and we fit everyone comfortably. The only reason I am giving it 4 stars is because the hotel is under renovation. Otherwise a fantastic stay with friendly staff and updated rooms!

"Dated and needs upgraded"
alty61979, 04 Avril 2019

Not a bad place to stay for a night. But overall very mediocre and in much need of upgrading. Staff was not available all the time. Always seemed to be in a back room. Room was sufficient and that's about it. Bed was uncomfortable at best.

"Needs attention "
Butterfly0729, 29 Mars 2019

Check in was quick and easy. Rates were unnecessarily high. First room had a dysfunctional shower drain. Moved to another room that was moldy smelling and humid. Carpets and linens in room had a dampness. Tub drained poorly. Bathroom needs update. Fridge leaked. Breakfast was ok, the worker there seemed quite unfriendly. I noticed her get frustrated a few times with guests. Breakfast room and hall carpets need a serious scrubbing. Ceiling in breakfast room was leaking one morning and there was a bucket catching the drips. Laundry and ice machine functional. Kids enjoyed pool, chlorine smell was overpowering at times...typical I guess for indoor pool. I did enjoy the 24/7 lobby coffee. One employee was pleasant, a man who worked at night at the front desk everyone else was miserable and expressionless-No real value here, besides the location.

"Home Run"
Danny O, 15 Mars 2019

Excellent hotel. They are in the midst of some upgrades, but what they have already done looks amazing. Breakfast was very good and the dining room is very comfortable. The room was large and it was a great place to relax after a long day. Thank you! The young lady at the desk suggested an amazing restaurant close by, be sure to ask when you stay here!

"Very accommodating"
Wander02106345524, 11 Mars 2019

Awesome time. We celebrated my daughters 12th birthday and had a pool party.. Would highly recommend. Elaine at the front desk was extremely helpful and went above and beyond to make sure our stay was as awesome at it was.

"!!!!!!!!"

Came to the area to visit the HOF and needed a place to stay for one night. We found the price to be VERY reasonable and less than others in the area. Room was very clean and comfortable. Bed was as well. Very helpful staff with regards to the area. Would recommend to others.

"Clean, Quiet, and Spacious"
nesscar, 12 Janvier 2019

I stayed at this establishment in mid-January just for one night. I was in the region primarily to visit the Baseball Hall Of Fame. Since it was January, all was quiet! The staff was friendly when I checked in/out. Location of this hotel is great, just about 10 minutes from the hall of fame.

"Nice place"
Mindy W, 01 Janvier 2019

We only stayed overnight and chose an affordable place near what we were interested in seeing. Was able to book online, was great by a friendly clerk and easily checked in when we arrived. The room was standard, but had a microwave and fridge, which I like to have when staying out of town. Breakfast was really nice - great room, well stocked, different and delicious items (the self serve pancake maker was a huge hit). Checked out easily and quickly as well.

"Great stay and great rate"
Nomad68229577356, 11 Décembre 2018

The hotel has a nice look to it, the pool was big and the breakfast was great. There were some upgrades put in and there were a few areas still getting done over. The location is great and close to cooperstown as well as oneonta.

"Needs work inside and out"
MMB1963, 01 Décembre 2018

Selected this location as it was convenient to Basset Hospital for an early morning scheduled procedure for my father. I booked two rooms, King and 2 Doubles, asked for connecting if possible. For ease of access of my Father, I asked for first floor rooms by an exit - Kings were on the 2nd floor only so we opted for what rooms were next to each other. Upon entrance their were cigarette butts everywhere ...in the parking lot, in the door way to the entrance, on the grounds. Not a good first impression. The hallway smelled musty, the corridor walls are very much scraped and dug up. Opening up my Father's room - smelled a sour odor but he just needed to sit down and get comfortable. He didn't notice it so we left it as is. We went into the double room for my sister and I - no odor. The rooms looked dated, furniture scratched. Positive side, it was nice to have both a microwave and mini frig in the room. We left at 6am the next morning so we didn't partake in the comp breakfast. I know this is a seasonal "baseball" hotel that is open all year around ... they need to keep up on repairs, cleanliness and overall appearance.

"spring valley ny, cooperstown visitor 11/18"
SpringValleySid, 14 Novembre 2018

wanted to see baseball hall of fame and Fenimore art museum off season and landed at this property. What a place! Great decore, close to attractions, beautiful lobby, welcoming staff, fabulous and functioning amenites why lodge anywhere else? this property has it all. Beautiful indoor pool, spacious comfortable, well appointed rooms, can't ask for anymore, Missy at the front desk was excellent. .Everything was tip top, don't miss this gem when in the Cooperstown.

"Great hotel. Price was excellent."

"Needs improvements"
marpet07, 05 Novembre 2018

Reception, food, room condition need improvement. Musty smell in room. Towels need replacement. Walls are paper thin so noisy. Location ok for Coopersrtown visit but would try another motel/hotel. Pool and jacuzzi were nice.

"cooperstown"
rhanly, 22 Octobre 2018

the location is perfect for a trip to the Baseball Hall of Fame. It needs serious updating and some paint and new carpet. The breakfast room is too small for the amount of rooms. The breakfast was fair ,,,,the attendant could not keep up and there was often empty trays at the buffet.

"Clean "
Darlene D, 22 Octobre 2018

My husband & I stayed here for a night. We liked this place it was neat & clean and we slept good. The breakfast was pretty good for a continental breakfast. If we come back to this area we will stay here.

"What happened??"
joeoliveras1, 13 Octobre 2018

1) Add some grab bars or an anti-slip mat in the tub. The tub is very slippery.2) Vacuum the room carpets. The fluff was sticking to my socks.3) Fasten the toilet seat cover. It's loose.4) The humidity in our room was unbelievable. The doors to the bathroom couldn't even be shut because they were so swollen.5) Even the shears were ripped. Someone should inspect the rooms on a regular basis.6) Shampoo the corridor carpets. They are filthy.7) The high speed internet did not work in our room. We kept losing signal. It was worse than dial up. This is our third time hat we have stayed at this hotel. The first two times were great but this last stay really disappointed us. What happened??

"Friendly staff, comfy bed and clean"
scoobsmom, 09 Octobre 2018

Stayed here for 1 night while visiting my son at college. The staff was very friendly and helpful with directions and suggestions of places to eat. The rooms were typical hotel rooms but the beds were very comfortable and the room was clean. There is an indoor pool and a nice lobby. The hotel is located at the end of a shopping center so it makes it very convenient to purchase items you might have forgotten at home.

"Great Stay"
James J, 02 Octobre 2018

I had an opportunity to stay at this hotel with a few friends. Upon first glance, the hotel appeared to be well kept. The lobby was nice and check-in went smoothly. I noticed that the property appeared to going under an interior renovation. The rooms were modern, clean, and everything appeared to work in the room. The furniture in the room was slightly worn. I would stay at the hotel again if given the chance. The staff was professional and pleasant..

"Comfortable enough once in the room"
Insguy73, 27 Septembre 2018

This place is about 4 miles outside Cooperstown, but an east drive. In a small shopping center with a McDonalds, food store, liquor store, and some others. Place looks a bit dated, some scrapes on hallway walls, but the room, bed and shower were all good, even though the bathroom door needed a strong push(or pull) to close. Staff were great, breakfast was the usual, and we overall liked it.

"Not in town of Cooperstown"
AliceRazz, 15 Septembre 2018

This property is about 10 or so minutes outside of Cooperstown. Hotel has 2 buildings. We were not in main building where breakfast is served. Room was spacious but an odd layout. When entering, sink immediately on left with toilet and bath to right, then a sofa with with fridge and microwave across, then an elevated counter with 2 chairs with the beds next. The is tv closer to the beds than sofa. Had to ask for updated TV guide as one provided in room was useless. Told they changed companies in early summer and hadn't updated room guides since not all rooms had same TVs. ice maker in our building was out of order. We had a used towel hanging on back of bathroom door and had flies in our room.

"Clean, upgraded room, but nothing to brag about"
noreenm121, 20 Août 2018

We were upgraded to a junior suite after the original room we were given hadn't been cleaned yet and wasn't ready for us. The front desk handled it very well and took care of upgrading our room immediately.

"Spacious, clean and convenient"
Goldenbluize, 20 Août 2018

My family and I stayed here this past week to visit the National Baseball Hall of Fame - very convenient- about 5-10 minute drive from Main Street - which is where the HOF is located. We got a suite with queen doubles and a pull out couch. This room was in a separate building- which is a 2 minute walk from the main. Breakfast offered every morning. The Inn is located on a mini mall property with a Cafe, Pizza Hut, Supermarket (Tops), and a McDonalds on the property - all within minutes walk from the main building (also where you check in). Ample parking. Rooms were clean and spacious and we were greeted very warmly upon check in. Can't wait to go back up- such a lovely town to visit with family!

"musty rooms"
russell333, 19 Août 2018

Average hotel, okay breakfast, musty rooms.. Good location for little league games at dream park...A bit on the expensive side for what they have to offer..$300 per night it should be better. I guess when your kids are playing in Cooperstown, they know demand is high for rooms that time of the year.

"Two Star Quality, Three Star Price"
TripperFiend, 16 Août 2018

I have been to Cooperstown 5 times in the last 3 years for baseball tournaments. Each time I have either stayed at The Holiday Express right next to Dreams Park or The Landmark Inn which in right in Cooperstown and enjoyed both for different reasons but both were what you'd expect. Best Western Cooperstown Inn & Suites was a disappointment. The location if you're there for Dreams Park baseball is phenomenal. It's just a little further than The Holiday Express but still very convenient and part of a small supermarket/Dollar Store/Subway/McDonalds complex. Check-in was fine but things quickly went down hill. The room smelled very musty & moldy. Upon first glance the room is spacious and has a nice flat screen TV, good sized refrigerator. The bathroom was a nice size but upon inspection it was clear the toilet hadn't been cleaned; I'll spare readers the details but it was gross! I brought the dirly toilet to the attention of the front desk and housekeeping came in quickly; they apologized and cleaned the toilet (the front desk without asking offered me a $50 credit). The rest of the room needed a good dusting and the carpet seemed worn thin and a little sticky. The refrigerator is mid-sized but the door was tough to close. The beds were very nice and comfortable. The common areas were clean but it seemed like there were always several giant bins filled with soiled towels/sheets resting in the hallways. The pool area seemed well maintained and the common areas and breakfast area was clean. The complimentary breakfast was fine. The free apples at the front desk are a nice touch. All in all, housekeeping is the weak link here. The moldy smell in the room, the dirty toilet issue, mold on the bathroom ceiling, ugly grey plastic bins in the hallways, sticky carpet.....overwhelmed the good service, great location and reasonable amenities.

"Winter trip- great location"
Jennifer M, 13 Août 2018

We took a winter trip to Cooperstown. This hotel was nicely located near Cooperstown city center and other attractions in the area. Grocery store next door thankfully because we needed to utilize it. Appeared to be under renovation at the time and I guess that would be my only "complaint". Breakfast was great (my BF still raves about the pancake machine), pool looked nice but didn't utilize. Room adequate, staff helpful and receptive.

"Reasonably Priced"
Tecla M, 06 Août 2018

Clean, nice sized rooms. Friendly and helpful front desk staff. Nice continental breakfast with make your own waffles. Nice sized pool. Mini golf and souvenir shop within w as long distance. Two minute drive to town and lake. Maid staff did not always replace towels or shampoo and had to ask for more at front desk.

"Junior suite that was clearly not kept up."
Enrica D, 01 Août 2018

We booked this junior suite on a busy weekend in Cooperstown. Was told it could fit 6 people. Advertised as a junior suite which was basically a standard room with 2 queen beds and a small dining area. Bathroom was smaller than any standard room I have been in. Cracks all over bathroom sinks. The refrigerator was out of order and dirty spots on couches. We were never offered the rollaway for the 2 other guests either. I'm not sure how this room was described as a junior suite and it was at a 600 price as wel, which makes me think the price was inflated because it was Hall of Fame induction weekend.

"Nice"
Sue D, 25 Juillet 2018

This hotel was nice enough. Needs some updating which it seems to be working on. The staff was fantastic. Very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was fine. Nothing special just your average hotel fare. Centrally locates to National Baseball Hall of Fame and the Dream Park.

"No tv"
loburleigh, 21 Juillet 2018

Tv had closed caption in the middle of the picture. Called front desk to ask how to remove it was told someone needed to come to the room with the master remote to remove it. Turns out it cannot be removed because remote was locked in manager's office. Had 2 boys and could not watch television after a long ride to Cooperstown because words were in the middle of the picture. For the price of the room you should be able to watch tv.

"Definitely not value for money"
unkski, 19 Juillet 2018

Incredibly overpriced even for Cooperstown. Room for a Thursday night came to $312 with tax. Pool is small and who wants to be wearing a swimsuit in the middle of a hotel lobby! Room is comfortable but pretty standard for chain hotels in the Best Western brand. Location is convenient to the village but about 20 minutes from Glimmerglass. Cooperstown hotels are almost rivaling NYC prices. On our next visit for a performance at Glimmerglass we will stay at a motel - for a one night stay, it doesn't make sense to spend over $300 unless it was at The Otesaga - and that's over $450 per night.

"Very Nice Hotel Close to Downtown Cooperstown"
sharonlX9463HF, 08 Juillet 2018

My husband and I were in town for a brief stay and were fortunate to find a room at the Best Western. This hotel was very comfortable and clean. Our room was in the "lodge" which was very quiet and removed from the main building where the pool and workout space were located. Our room included two double beds, a seating area and bar to eat at, refrigerator and microwave. There was a sink in the room and a separate bathroom within the room (toilet and shower). The room also had a heating/cooling unit that could be controlled within the room. There was no thermostat to indicate how hot/cold to set the unit and we found that it took a while for the cool air to stay on continuously, but it eventually did and we had a very restful, comfortable sleep. The bathroom could use a trash can as well as a space to store towels. The location of this hotel is great! It is located next door to a McDonald's and a 24-hour TOPPS supermarket. It is also within 1 mile of Barnyard Swing miniature golf, within 5 miles to delicious restaurants and within 7 miles of downtown Cooperstown. We would highly recommend to anyone looking for a comfortable stay, especially those with families, and we look forward to staying here again in the future.

"Great stay with family!"
Deborah B, 17 Juin 2018

we were traveling with 3 adults and two children. Difficult to find a place to accommodate in one room. Best western offers the perfect spot. The room had 2 queens beds and pull out sofa. Room was very clean, the beds were comfortable and the temperature easily adjustable to our liking. While small the pool and the spa were clean and a nice respite after a long day. The breakfast staff appeared to be overwhelmed b the number of guests on Saturday morning. Repleshiment of the buffet was slow, but the selection was good. I suggest investing in an additional waffle maker for the week end crowd.

"Good overall"
Joe0371, 28 Mai 2018

Clean and pleasant stay overall. Considering the price for a busy weekend they needed more staff which seemed overwhelmed. Expect long waits for waffles and pancakes which you make yourself... The pool is small but really nice for the kids, the hot tub was out of order as well.

"Nice Hotel and close to downtown Cooperstown "
samanthap901, 27 Mai 2018

Nice hotel for a two star. Hotel looks to be recently renovated so it's clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good: scrambled eggs, sausage, potatoes, waffles and a pancake machine. No worries about the renovations or accessing pool or pot as stated in other reviews. Would stay again when in Cooperstown.

"Leisure and Relaxation"
danidee032017, 14 Mai 2018

Overall, good stay. Breakfast was good; beds were comfy; view was nice. There was some construction, but nothing that hindered my stay; it wasn't loud. I would stay again the next time I am in Cooperstown.

"Very nice accomodations"
goldentg, 12 Mai 2018

This BW is a well appointed facility.and a great place to stay. The drive to downtown Cooperstown and the Baseball Hall of Fame.is not far and is easy. The Internet service at the motel is above average.

"Not a happy stay. If you are picky, I would not recommend."
Kristy W, 12 Mai 2018

The bed was not comfortable and the sheets were a low quality with extreme pilling. We had no hot water for showers on our first morning. The receptionist didn't even offer an apology or compensation when we complained until we went back a second time to complain about the number of mosquitos in the room and having to kill a wasp in the room. The pool was small and not available during the day due to renovations and much of the equipment in the workout room was broken. With so many places to stay, we could have easily done better. I still gave it three stars because overall, the room was clean and had a refrigerator and Kuerig. Also, the lobby was big allowing for a place to gather with family/friends and the breakfast buffet, while typical, also included gluten-free options and dairy-free milk (you have to ask for them).

"Baseball HOF"
dantvm, 06 Mai 2018

The BW in Cooperstown was very nice. The room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast is awesome. Scrambled eggs, waffles, pancakes, bagels, cereal, hot coffee and tea, all for no extra cost.

"Hotel under rennovation"
dg12342018, 16 Avril 2018

Ants in the pool area, no fitness center due to the rennovation. I wish I had stayed somewhere else even if it was slightly more expensive, because I paid a standard rate for this hotel and received less than standard amenities.

"Very upset "
Erin C, 12 Avril 2018

If you want to be able to smoke pot in your room and get away with it then this is the hotel for you! The whole 2nd floor reeked of weed coming from one of the rooms, when we told the front desk we were told there was nothing they could do until the guest checked out. Fun times when your kids are asking what that smell is. In addition to that the hotel was under renovation and no one bothered to tell us when we booked our trip, our room was in another building across from the parking lot which meant we had to walk to the pool and breakfast in 20 degree weather. Definitely not something I would agree to do in the winter/ early spring. I will say that the women who ran the breakfast in the morning was great and very accommodating.

"Decent Hotel, Currently Renovating"
Walby, 24 Mars 2018

Hotel was being renovated on the second floor during our stay. You could hear noise from the work being done after about 9am, so don't plan on sleeping late. Outside of that, its a decent hotel, average rates, free breakfast, quite a bit of parking, indoor swimming pool. Good location right next to a small shopping area with a dollar store, a grocery store, a liquor store, etc., as well as a couple restaurants. The Baseball HOF is about a 10-15 minute drive to the north. Pretty simple to get to.

"Under construction"
imantwo, 22 Mars 2018

Be aware they are remodeling the second floor. I sleep during the day and that was a bit of a problem. My first floor room was clean and the decorations up to date, but I swear I smelled mildew. And the mattress wasn't very comfortable for this side sleeper. But the rate was low, so I'm not to upset.

"Pleasant Stay"
Tricia K, 20 Mars 2018

Our family has stayed here three times over the past several years when visiting Cooperstown. The location is ideal, as it is only a few minutes drive to the Baseball Hall of Fame and downtown Cooperstown. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, updated (lobby and other areas currently undergoing renovations) and the free breakfast and swimming add to the benefits of staying here.

"My son learned to swim here!!!"
ctkcoll2012, 07 Mars 2018

We love staying here. It's a birthday tradition for our son. He learned to swim in the pool. He absolutely loves this place. And the coolest part of this stay is we ended up in the same room as the first time we brought him. He was the one who remembered. :)

"Disappointment"
lovejoywoodworks, 01 Mars 2018

A tv that didn't work A room that smelled like coved up smoke And construction going on in the room next to ours On top of it all the front desk person checking me out that just didn't care about the bad stay I had !!!

"Pretty Good, Not Great"
SirVayR, 20 Février 2018

Close enough to the Village of Cooperstown. There are no chain hotels in Cooperstown, so you have to head out of town a couple miles. This BW is adjacent to a McDonald's and small shopping plaza (grocery store, liquor store, etc.). As for the hotel, pretty good overall. Appears that they are doing renovations to the upper floors of the main building (there are 2 buildings). Appeared clean, comfortable bed, HVAC seemed to work as it should, quiet (although not too many guests so that is probably the main reason). Rooms not good for business...too dark. Sink in bath didn't drain very well, plunger/stopper needed repair. Breakfast not too good. Eggs were scorched and bacon was greasy and tasteless. OJ was good and coffee was OK. Staff was pleasant. Front desk gentleman was there when we checked in around 5 and was still there (or back) the next morning for check out. Nice young man. All in all, above average, but not excellent.

"Best Western Cooperstown"
Lynne F, 03 Février 2018

The hotel was very clean and attractive. The front desk staff was very helpful and friendly. They took the time to make us feel welcome and made sure our needs were met. The pool was under renovation but they had an alternate place for us to swim. Very nice place!

"Picky travelers, VERY PLEASED!"
HQs_mom, 28 Janvier 2018

I've done my fair share of complaining about hotels that let me down. It seems to happen more often than not these days- I admit it. I'm a bit picky when it comes to where I lay my head... But this Best Western in Cooperstown surpassed my expectations!! We arrived early but still were welcomed anyway. We stayed in room 130, a corner room with a quaint view. It was clean, quiet, well stocked with bathroom essentials (even a makeup wipe!). The breakfast was excellent, I highly recommend the pancakes! The staff was friendly e everywhere we went, from the cleaning crew to the breakfast attendant to the front desk! I really can't complain about anything. It was an exceptional experience and great value. We will definitely be back!

"Useless staff, less than ideal location"
Andrew C, 03 Janvier 2018

Stayed here on a pilgrimage to the Baseball Hall of Fame. It's not nearby. When checking in I noted that the place seemed empty and inquired about upgrading my room. Was told I could not because of how I had booked the room. Offered to pay the difference in cash and was told no again. Hotel is at the back of a strip mall parking lot, not easy to get in or out of and a good bit of exterior noise. Room was okay, no major complaints. The pool was acceptable.

"Good Service "
Sarah H, 29 Décembre 2017

My only complaint is that the beds were hard but I was so tired that it didn't even matter. The costumer service was great. We arrived at 8:30 and the pool closed at 9:00; however, the gal kept the pool open longer so my 4 year old could swim. The continental breakfast was great and provided options for picky eaters.

"Our stay in Cooperstown NY"
M2792BUhollyb, 17 Décembre 2017

Everything during our recent stay was great, our trip was unplanned and the staff was so helpful .Fast friendly service. The rooms were clean and very comfortable and the breakfast was great. We will stay there again very soon.

"Always a great stay."
joanneo476, 27 Novembre 2017

We've been staying there for the past 20 years and are always happy with the stay! It is clean, the staff is nice, and they are accommodating! Love the pool area. In the winter the lobby feels like a lodge!

"Good Value"
MarkD_CT, 26 Novembre 2017

Clean, modern, and quiet, this hotel has everything you'd expect of a Best Western. The hotel is located a little more than four miles, or about 10 minutes, from the center of Cooperstown. Pleasant staff. We've booked three times in three years. Never an issue.

"Highly recommend"
antonys877, 20 Novembre 2017

Perfect in every way.You never wait. Breakfast was great. Employees were always smiling. If you want bang for your buck ,then stay at this Best Western.Room was very big. Slept like a baby. Will try to come back.

"A friendly experience"
fredw485, 19 Novembre 2017

I enjoyed my stay at the Best Western in Cooperstown. I found the hotel staff very courteous and friendly. My daughter and I chatted with them for quite some time. There was a nice view from my room in the morning of the rolling countryside in the area. I would have no qualms staying at this hotel if I revisited the area. A good deal for the price.

"Comfortable stay"
jona1977, 16 Novembre 2017

Stayed with the family for 2 nights in November. Highly recommend it! 10 minutes from Main St in Cooperstown and about 25 minutes to Oneonta. Hotel has a nice indoor pool and hot tub. Breakfast is quite good, with several hot dishes (e.g. eggs, potatoes, bacon, sausage.). The staff was friendly and offered great advice regarding the area. Located right next to a supermarket and Chinese place, which is convenient.

"Best Hotel Near Hall of Fame"
Carolyn B, 16 Novembre 2017

I stayed in the Best Western Cooperstown Inn for 2 nights on a recent visit to the Baseball Hall of Fame. It was very convenient to the Hall, only about 3 miles away. Hotel was clean, quiet and peaceful. A delicious breakfast was served every morning in the breakfast room off the lobby, consisting of pancakes, waffles, eggs, sausages, bagels, muffins, oatmeal, cereal, yogurt, fruit, juices, coffee and tea. The woman attending the breakfast room was very kind, helpful, and kept the area neat, clean, and fully stocked. I was surprised and pleased to see the hotel manager visit the breakfast room both mornings, stopping by each table, and making sure the guests were enjoying their stay. The only thing I did not like about the guest room was the small pillows on the queen size bed: there were 4 very small pillows (about 2/3 the size of a standard pillow). One pillow was too small for my head, and putting 2 together was not helpful, since there was then a "pillow gap", For sure, I would recommend this Best Western to anyone who is planning to visit the area, and I would stay there again should I ever return. I would probably just bring my own pillow!

"Excellent Stay"
Upstatefamily, 15 Novembre 2017

My husband and I spent a night here while travelling. The lobby is well appointed and it looked like they have a very nice pool & jacuzzi, although we didn't use them. Our room was large and comfortable with mini fridge and microwave. The bathroom was very clean and still looked new. The water pressure in the shower was outstanding. Breakfast was served in a side room and there was a nice variety of offerings from make your own pancakes and waffles, to pre made omlettes, sausage, instant oatmeal, yogurt and fresh fruit. We had a great stay and would definitely return.

"Great hotel"
julb, 05 Novembre 2017

Stayed one night for a conference. The room was excellent, the staff extremely helpful.Overall a wonderful experience! Centrally located and easy to get in to town. I would definitely recommend this hotel!

"Well located hotel to enjoy an interesting town ."
332Bam332, 05 Novembre 2017

This hotel has a nice pool and hot tub. It is close to groceries and restaurants and liquor store. The self serve full breakfast was great. It was a short drive to town through beautiful countryside. The price increases on the weekend. A room with a view would have been nice.

"Usually Great Option"
Ann K, 05 Novembre 2017

I have stayed at this particular hotel around 20 times since early 2015 due to family business in the area. I don't stay during the high tourist season because of minimum stay requirements and pricing, but it's a good value the rest of the year. I've had very few issues during those stays (occasionally louder guests or room issues). Consistently, it offers good value for the price and location convenience. Staff is usually courteous and helpful. Breakfast is sufficient (though occasionally I skip it). Proximity to Tops, McD's, Pizza Hut, a dollar store all make it more attractive.

"Pleasant Stay for Visiting HOF"
Robert R, 04 Novembre 2017

This pleasant hotel about 10-minutes south of Cooperstown consists of 2 buildings: a Lodge with suites and rooms separate from the Main Building where my room was located. The Main Building is a long two-story structure with the small pantry-store located next to the front desk and the interior pool (behind a windowed wall) next to the lobby. The rooms are located off of a single long corridor with additional exterior exits (access by room key) at the end and half-way. My room was a corner room at the end of the corridor, so a healthy walk to-and-from the front desk/breakfast area but a wonderful pastoral view toward the rear of the property. The room was spacious and very clean with microwave & mini-fridge, and an in-room safe (with key versus digital keypad). The wifi worked great, maintaining connection with reasonable speed, but no USB ports for charging devices. Parking is ample but does not extend the length of the building. The property is located next to a strip shopping center with a grocery store, dollar store, and various eateries. The sink in the bath was missing its stopper/plunger which was not an issue but I noted it to staff who would address it. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. Would consider staying again if in the area.

"Excellent place, but pricey"
Stephenbkk20156, 03 Novembre 2017

We drove into Cooperstown, noting the places to stay along the way, and out again on the same road. This was the one that stood out. Cheery check-in staff, excellent facilities, lots of light and air, a good night&s sleep and an excellent breakfast. Just what we needed. At over 270 dollars for the night, though, it was expensive, probably more so than was justified by the facilities. Location, though, is the key and we were certainly well located for our real visit to Cooperstown next orning.

"Pleasant Stay"
Steven K, 26 Octobre 2017

We enjoyed our overall time spent at the Best Western, Cooperstown. It was very clean with an abundant and tasty breakfast spread. The adjoining building had a beautiful and spacious room for us. The front desk staff was very helpful and pleasant. Thank you BW!

"A very nice experience..."
Donna L, 23 Octobre 2017

This Best Western was very clean and all was in working order! Nice, powerful shower! The staff was friendly and very helpful. It was very close to Cooperstown proper...only 4 miles away...so that was great!

"Very clean and helpful staff"
janmP8352AK, 23 Octobre 2017

Excellent experience. Staff were very helpful in regards to restaurants in the area and other things we were in search of. Room was clean. The only disappointment is that most of the equipment in the fitness room was either out of order or not functioning properly.

"Good experience"
eileenr499, 22 Octobre 2017

The hotel staff was helpful, the room clean, and breakfast was good. We enjoyed our two night stay at the hotel while we visited the Baseball Hall of Fame at Cooperstown, NY. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to visit Cooperstown, NY. The pool looked inviting, and I regret that I didn't bring my bathing suit. The hotel is about 4 miles from the Village of Cooperstown.

"Best Western Cooperstown"
ARiley1963, 22 Octobre 2017

Great customer service and clean rooms. Breakfast was satisfying. Location of hotel was good and not far from Cooperstown attractions. All amenities were in working order, refrigerator and microwave. Spacious clean rooms.

"Clean place to stay"
don w, 19 Octobre 2017

It is a little off the beaten path but if you are in the area it is a good place to stay. Staff is friendly and helpful. The place is clean and well maintained. The beds were comfortable. The breakfast was really good. Large quantity and many choices.

"Best Western Cooperstown. "
MrEd_in_Calif, 18 Octobre 2017

They made us feel like crooks by leaving a charge list of items in the room including sheets. BTW sheets were thread bare and no one would even think of stealing. Did not like breakfast. Threw omelet away, it was so bad. Don't stay here. Staff is distracted and talks too fast. Not helpful. Not very personal.

"Good for the price "
Jabis76, 18 Octobre 2017

We stayed here when we visited the Baseball Hall of Fame. It's in a good location. The rooms were clean and I loved the baseball decor. The bathroom was too small for a family member in a wheelchair. Overall, it was a nice room for the price.

"Friendly staff, not that clean"
349caseyf, 17 Octobre 2017

We stayed here 3 years ago and had a very pleasant experience. This year we go this room at an affordable price so I was not expecting the Ritz, however the cleanliness of the rooms were less than par. It did not appear that the floors had been vacuumed and there were belongings left on the floor underneath the duster of the bed that were left from the previous guests. Despite that the staff at the hotel were very professional and friendly, but I would probably not stay here again.

"complimentary breakfast worth the trip"
pameladS2874QA, 14 Octobre 2017

Good hotel with great staff! The complimentary breakfast was very good. Awesome selection. Not enough seating at breakfast...get there early. TV remote in my suite did not work. Once I told the desk, it was fixed immediately! Hot tub was out of order, but the pool was very nice.

"A Convenient spot for Dreams Park, but pricey!"
Brandy R, 11 Octobre 2017

My son played in the Cooperstown Dreams Park tournament and his brother and I needed a close place to stay. I hated the thought of spending more than $1800 for 7 nights in a Best Western, but I guess they can charge whatever they want in the summer being only one mile from the fields. Upon check in, we got a ground floor room, close to the pool. The room was dusty, a light was burnt out in the bathroom and a dirty wash cloth was still hanging in the bathroom. We immediately called for all to be addressed. The room smelled musty from the air conditioning unit. There was a decent sized fridge and microwave there. Beds just ok - nothing spectacular. View of the mountains in the rear of the hotel is pretty. I most enjoyed the breakfast included each morning. Friendly staff and decent food. Gets too crowded at peak times. I recommend signing up for rewards to try and get something back for paying the price to stay here.

"hotel rating"
valeriek758, 11 Octobre 2017

We were very pleased with all aspects of the hotel from the friendly staff, to the large clean room, to the breakfast. We also like the vicinity of the hotel very close to everything but yet not in the middle of town so it was quiet. I would highly recommend this hotel.

"Nice place to stay"
Lisa G, 10 Octobre 2017

We stayed one night on our drive through upstate New York. We wanted a hotel close to the Baseball Museum but this was a little further away from the main part of Cooperstown. It was still close by and there were several places to eat nearby. We enjoyed our stay-nice people, clean rooms, and breakfast and coffee in the morning!

"Nice staff and comfort"
Nanci N, 07 Octobre 2017

We stayed here for two nights while visiting the Baseball Hall of Fame. Staff at the front desk were all very pleasant and helpful, room was very clean, and bed was comfortable. We had a beautiful view from our window of the foothills of he Catskills and the beginning of fall colors. The laundry facility came in handy as well.

"Location"
catalina25096, 07 Octobre 2017

The property is just a short drive to Cooperstown, Clean rooms and friendly staff make this property a wonderful stay. The front desk staff (Mandy) was very helpful when we wanted to extend our stay. We would recommend this property for anyone wanting to visit Cooperstown.

"We recommend"
Dianne V, 02 Octobre 2017

Large hotel in two buildings. 4 miles from the village and Baseball Hall Hall of Fame so perfect location for us. Hotel is clean, staff is accommodating. We had a suite with two rooms, very spacious. Would definitely recommend to others.

"Good Value"
stanner70, 01 Octobre 2017

This is a very nice basic hotel. The rooms are spacious and clean and the staff is very helpful and courteous. The continental breakfast is average. The hotel is just a few short miles from the Hall of Fame right on Rt 28.

"Very nice hotel"
Michele D, 30 Septembre 2017

This hotel was very nice. We were given a corner room so had two windows both with nice views. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast choices were nicely varied. Something for everyone. We had a problem with a loose toilet seat and it was fixed right away. Would definitely go back if in the area.

"Great Hotel "
Kathy C, 28 Septembre 2017

Stayed at the Best Western while visiting the Baseball Hall of Fame. Rooms were clean, staff very accommodating, daily breakfast was great. Only about 10 minutes from Hall of Fame. Rooms have refrigerators and microwave. Grocery store right next door .

"A visit to Baseball Hall of Fame"
Betsy1017, 28 Septembre 2017

Best Western honored our request for second floor and we even had connecting rooms, which added to our fun and experience. Breakfast room was quite large and presentation of the food was tastefully done. There were many options too.

"Consistently Excellent in every way."
Elaine L, 25 Septembre 2017

Best Western Cooperstown is a great get away for a weekend or a longer vacation. Staff is kind, helpful and very knowledgeable about fun activities in the area. The rooms are consistently immaculate, well appointed, and very comfortable, housekeeping is excellent. The breakfast provided each morning is very good, offers a wide variety of choices and is a great start to the day. We will be back again soon., Elaine & Chris

"It was an ok stay."
MikeTheTraveler56, 25 Septembre 2017

This hotel is dated. It is about 4 miles out of downtown Cooperstown which is ok. There are a couple of other hotels located there as well. I have stayed at better Best Westerns but this served our purpose. I just wish they cleaned it a little better.

"Weekend getaway"
Cynthia B, 24 Septembre 2017

Comfortable room, beds very high and hard to get in but very comfor table to sleep in. Bathroom nice but needed safety bar in shower and rubber mat for tub. Breakfast was very good and staff at desk friendly

"Not well run"
Pat F, 21 Septembre 2017

We spent two nights at this hotel. The first night the entire rug was wet and there was an odd smell. They might have shampooed it. They had the air conditioner down to 65, perhaps to try to dry the floor. There was mold in the bathroom all around the tub and on the tile walls. There was also a dirty q-tip on the floor. We moved to another room the next day due to our change in plans. The second room was better, but had hair (someone else's) on the bedsheets and dead bugs in the bathroom. There were flies and a wasp in the room that we disposed of. There was a nest outside the window and the wasps were finding their way in. When we mentioned it to the person at checkout, they seemed uninterested. We were grossed out and will not stay there again. There is no reason for dirt and mold in a hotel. It's a managerial/supervisory issue. On the positive side, the breakfast area was clean and the food was good. The pool was heavily clorinated and we decided against swimming. There is a strip mall right next store to the hotel and a McDonalds and Pizza Hut right in the parking lot. The Chinese take out place was good. There is a supermarket there as well. There are better places to stay in Cooperstown.

"Clean friendly hotel"
Richelle L, 20 Septembre 2017

Stayed there while visiting Cooperstown. Facility was clean. Staff was very friendly and helpful. O\\Breakfast was good. Only thing was as a tea drinker there was no tea in room with coffee maker. They did have tea available in lobby but water was lukewarm. Otherwise very nice hotel.

"Hall of fame"
Anthony t, 16 Septembre 2017

Stayed 2 nights while visiting the Baseball Hall if Fame. Great hot at a great price. About 15 minutes to the Hall; straight shot. Front desk staff were pleasant and very accommodating. Best of all was the complementary breakfast buffet. Waffles, pancakes, eggs, Danish: you name it, they had it. We would definitely return again.

"Average Best Western"
Travel92253, 15 Septembre 2017

A somewhat older hotel with average accommodations. Our room was clean, but could have used a little refurbishing. The carpet was older and the bed as well. Breakfast was included and was the usual selection of scrambled eggs, sausage, cereal and pastries. Since it was only about 4 miles from the Baseball Hall of Fame made this our choice.

"Nice Place to stay"
Robert K, 15 Septembre 2017

I stayed at the Best Western in Cooperstown New York for two nights on September 12th to the 13th. I came with a friend that I work with in the Pittsburgh,Pa area. My friend thought that the room was very good, the bed comfortable and the bathroom and shower were very clean. I agree with him on all these things and both of us felt the breakfast was delicious with a several breakfast items to choose lfrom. The scenery outside the hotel was breathtaking. It was also great that it was only about ten minutes from the Baseball Hall of Fame.

Richard S, 13 Septembre 2017

Hotel was inviting on the outside and the front lobby. However, the pool is exposed to everyone who enters the facility with poor lighting and an early closing time. Halls had a musty smell and dimly lit. Not at all inviting. Our first time at a Best Western. Front desk staff was welcoming and friendly and breakfast was very nice. But the carpets had seen a lot of ware and in need of a major scrubbing or overhaul. Not sure we'd want to stay here for any lengthy stay.

"Just ok"
beachsitter2016, 11 Septembre 2017

The location was great for our weekend trip to the area. Convenient to Cooperstown as well as Sharon Springs. It is located in a shopping center known as "The Commons" so is convenient for grocery store and a few other stores if food or things are needed; also two fast food restaurants here. From others seen during our stay, it is obvious this BW is a favorite for those visiting Cooperstown. Too far to walk to town but easily under a 10 minute drive. Room comes with breakfast which is a plus. There is a pool and hot tub (jacuzzi) right off the lobby. The room was disappointing, however. Although clean, it looked tired. Rug was stained, and bathroom looked old. Recommend requesting a room on the second floor. Our room was on the first floor so we kept the window curtains closed as we faced the parking lot; made the room extremely dark even with all the lights turned on. Staff was friendly, professional and efficient. If in the area, we might consider staying here again but would also research B&Bs and facilities.

"Better than most"
Q6969HLpatriciab, 09 Septembre 2017

The hotel is fine - close to downtown, fairly reasonably priced and has an indoor pool which my kids definitely used. Our room needed a good vacuuming and clearly had not been vacuumed in quite awhile but overall a decent place to stay.

"Nice sized room and Amazing service (Thank you Nick and the housekeeping team!)"
Pav L, 05 Septembre 2017

I created a tripadvisor account just to write a review for the hotel. The hotel staff are the nicest ever - super friendly and accommodating! As soon as we got home we realized that my husband forgot some of his clothes and phoned Nick at the front desk who went above and beyond and immediately offered to mail back the clothes to us ,without us even asking! If there's an employee of the month award, without a doubt Nick and the housekeeping team certainly deserve it. Thank you soooo much!! Beds were comfortable. Parking is plentiful. Large room (compared to many hotels around downtown cooperstown area). Honest and non-pretentious accommodation. Close to downtown (10mins away). Certainly recommend whether you're here on business, baseball or a fun family trip.

"A bit steep but decent"
Jane9870, 03 Septembre 2017

Our son was at dreams park for the week. We were late in making plans for us but we chose this hotel based on proximity to dreams park, the pool, and daily breakfast. The staff was very friendly and the hotel lobby and pool area were welcoming and clean. The room itself was also clean but had a musty, almost smoky odor to it upon entering. The room also always seemed damp. We used the dry setting on the room unit with the a/c which helped but again it was always damp. The pool and hot tub were nice to visit and of course my son loved that... the tv was frustrating too... no guide channel. We had to use TV guide online What we enjoyed the most though was the daily breakfast. Many choices both cold and hot. Eggs of some sort everyday. Cereals yogurt. Pancakes French toast etc... it was nice knowing we had a full meal on the ready at the start of each day. If you are in Cooperstown for dreams park this is a great location right next to McDonald's Pizza Hut a little dinette and the grocery store ... the room has a micro and niced sized fridge that could hold plenty of food.

"Needs major renovation"
Gottolovebaseball, 30 Août 2017

Best Western needs to be updated. Rooms and hallways are old and worn and there's a musty smell throughout halls and rooms. Better off going to Holiday inn express 1/4 mile away much better and newly renovated too.

"Uncle Milty reports again!"
doreens757, 28 Août 2017

A great breakfast, one light wasn't working in the room, although I didn't report it. Dollar wise, a fair value, Simple fitness center, but at least they had one and I used it, nice pool for my grandkids, convenient to downtown Cooperstown, very good staff.

"Convenient to Hall of Fame"
H7838JVhowardb, 28 Août 2017

Decent hotel, but a lot of money per night to be a few miles away from the Hall of Fame. Breakfast (included) was okay, but not enough seats and too many flies. Staff was very helpful in recommending places to eat in area.

"Could not wait to leave!"
jlwesq, 27 Août 2017

Horrible. Terrible. Moldy. Smelly. Even my clothes smell! I think this place needs a visit from the local department of health.... Seriously! I'd rather sleep in my car. Very very disappointed. The 4 star reviews cannot be real... No way! Btw - I've never written a review in my life (I'm in my late 40s)..i actually downloaded this app just to warn people.. Stay away.

"Dreams park trip"
theresanpf, 26 Août 2017

Very convenient to park, shopping and food. Clean and spacious rooms. Staying again next year when my other son goes to Dreams Park. There is one thing that I wish they would do. When you go for the tournaments, I think they should let you check out early if need be without penalty. I booked until Friday and they did say that if I let them know by Wednesday before 11 then we can check out Thursday and receive our money back for the one night. Problem is you won't know by Wednesday 11am if you can go early.

"Disappointing"
Robert L, 24 Août 2017

this hotel was disappointing. For the cost of the room per night at more that 260USD one should expect at least fresh towels and bed linen, which had been laundered bu the bed linens were aged and over used and the towels had holes and were frayed. There was little care in the day to day maintenance of the hotel. Better not look at the breakfast which was included in the rate. The coffee was barely drinkable and the eggs all look like fake food. The hotel had that smell of not really clean and at that superficial. Was not pleasant as the windows had no screens so one had to sleep with the window closed and rely on the AC which kicked in only at lower that 69 degrees on the thermostat so either you froze or sweated.

"Location was great."
552juditht, 22 Août 2017

Location was great but a little pricey. Service could have been a little better as we had to ask for shampoo, etc., for the kids. But overall, we were satisfied with the hotel. We would recommend this hotel for anyone going to the baseball park.

"traveler"
patriciafL658LW, 22 Août 2017

The hotel is dated and the room smelled as soon as you opened the door. There was a dryer sheet in the blower to hide the smell. Bed was hard and not comfortable. Breakfast was average at best. You could hear people running up and down the halls at night.

"Awesome location!"
megnicky, 17 Août 2017

We stayed here while in the area for Cooperstown Dream Park. It is a great location to the field and a short drive to downtown Cooperstown. The breakfast was good too! We liked the rooms in the main building better that the suites building.

"Good for price"
L161ZAmatthewd, 17 Août 2017

It is exactly as advertised. No frills but affordable. Kids liked the pool and it was a perfect stopping point on our way to Niagra. Only issues we had were mold in the bathroom, which they cleaned right away but bathroom was less than desired. Breakfast was perfect and had a variety of things.

"Best Western is Best "Ever""
D6549IBcathyl, 15 Août 2017

The hotel, staff, food, amenities were all excellent. I would recommend Best Western to anyone traveling. It is the best hotel I have ever had the opportunity to visit. After visit Best Western in NY we continued on a trip to Niagara Falls Canada & were greatly disappointed at the hotel. There were no amenities at all. Best Western is a tough act to follow!

"Stay in Cooperstown"
roberthL2006JK, 15 Août 2017

The hotel is adequate. It's close to the Dreams Park, downtown Cooperstown, and restaurants. The beds were not comfortable. However, the hotel was clean and staff was friendly. We were there for the baseball tournament, so the price of $230 plus taxes was not cheap, but there isn't much of value that is less than that.

"Tried and disappointed"
Michael S, 14 Août 2017

Thought we'd give the Best Western a try, here in Cooperstown. Only in town for one night. We were greeted by a friendly staff and were able to get into our room, even though we arrived early. The room was nothing special. King bed, desk, fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. There were some signs of "quick cleaning". Dust in corners, especially in the bathroom. The tiled floor looked like it needed a good hands and knees scrubbing. We slept ok, though were awaken early by youth baseball teams running down the hall. This included a free breakfast. Usual cereals, some microwaved omelets and bacon. I can't eat wheat or anything with gluten in it, so I stuck with the omelets. They had a waffle maker and that was backed up with kids and they blocked where the coffee was, so that was a challenge. There was a shuttle parking lot, down the road towards the village. It was handy and on time. Hope to go back again, perhaps staying at a different hotel.

"Typical BW venue"
KeepPeddling, 08 Août 2017

We were in the area for performances at the Glimmerglass Opera. This BW hotel is about 15 miles from the venue, an easy direct drive. (It is a shorter drive to downtown Cooperstown and the Baseball Hall of Fame.) Most of the staff members seem anxious to be of assistance. An issue with the TV was addressed promptly. The room was clean and everything worked just fine after the TV thing was taken care of. There were many families at the hotel which is to be expected as it is so close to the baseball hall of fame. For the most part, the noise was at a low moderate level, a tribute to parental supervision. The mattress in room 110, while not uncomfortable, should be replaced. I would not hesitate to stay at this Best Western in the future.

"Ok hotel, unprofessional staff"
clarabX1678BY, 01 Août 2017

The Hotel was fine, but the Air conditioner didn't work in the lobby. Very hot check in. The staff was terribly unprofessional. The young man behind the counter had dirty disgusting teeth and his neck was covered with "love bits". Next time, he should pull up his pants above his waistline. If you can get past the staff, the hotel was ok.

"Comfortable Lodging"
dabare, 31 Juillet 2017

We stayed at the Best Western Cooperstown and enjoyed our stay. The staff was friendly, the breakfast was good, and scenery majestic. This hotel is mere minutes from Dreams Park and is also close to the shuttle to take you to the Baseball Hall of Fame and downtown Cooperstown. If you drive into Cooperstown, it is only five or six miles, although parking can become a problem during tourist season. We recommend the Best Western.

"ok"
jodir642, 29 Juillet 2017

we were a little concerned that our hotel had 2 buildings and that the check in and breakfast was in the other building. we had to walk/drive over when we needed something. we drove over because we had a senior citizen with us so the walking would have been to much for her. easy walk if you are able.

"July baseball trip"
X6058ARayme, 28 Juillet 2017

Close to Dreams baseball. Clean, swimming pool, breakfast good. Recommend for family following baseball team. A little pricey. Fills up fast, book way in advance to take advantage of discounts. Summer months are busy.

"Family friendly and breakfast included"
Shari427, 27 Juillet 2017

Good/average hotel for the price...having a Family suite was necessary for our group of 6 staying together...although the accommodations weren't lavish or completely updated, it was comfortable and had what we needed. The breakfast included was a nice perk for the family on the go. It's about a 5 minute drive to Cooperstown and the Hall of Fame...grocery store and McDonalds is right next door to the hotel. The staff was courteous and helpful with anything we needed.

"VERY DIRTY ROOM"
thomasbF4184FE, 26 Juillet 2017

Our room was pretty disgusting. Comforter was stained, towels looked like someone had used them to dust, they were black the bottoms, and Fridge hadn't been cleaned out. The 2nd night there we went to put a drink in the freezer and 2 ice cream cups with spoons sticking out the tops were in their from the prior guest. Halls and stairways were also very dirty with stains everywhere. Stayed in a "suite", which costs more on top of already high prices for a Best Western. So it should have been super clean.

"OMG - BEWARE!!"
Richard M, 25 Juillet 2017

We traveled from west of Chicago toToledo, Niagara Falls, Rochester NY, Martha's Vineyard and Chatham MA and back. I should have read the reviews for the Cooperstown Best Western better. The reviews regarding odors, musty smell, mildew and dampness are all correct. We stay at Marriott chain hotels whenever possible so we aren't the most extravagant traveler you will meet. We do not stay at the cheaper hotels but maybe we should have for Cooperstown. We paid more than $240/night and found the room musty, smelly with mildew and the pillows / sheets were damp from moisture. I had to leave in the morning after our first night but when i returned in the afternoon my wife was not well at all. I will note that my wife does have allergies to the extent we bring our own bed pillows on every trip. BUT she was sick from the dampness. We tried as soon as we checked in to turn down the air conditioning since it wasn't even running and that was the only reason we stayed the first night. When I did return I tried to find another place in the area to stay at but none were available but when I talked to the front desk they said I would be charged for the 2nd day anyway since we stayed after checkout time. We don't travel a lot but we do our fair share and this was the worst we stayed in since we stayed in Atlantic City on the strip 25 years ago. The hotel we stayed in New Orleans on Bourbon Street was better than this one. Sorry we stayed there.

"Nice, But Be Prepared to Pay"
Sharon F, 25 Juillet 2017

After hearing the stormy weather forecast for our projected route home, we decided to spend the night in Cooperstown, recognizing it was the beginning of Induction Week. Nice facility but quite pricey, considering "the week" really didn't start until Thursday . . .

"Totally over-priced hotel"
Q5168BMmarys, 22 Juillet 2017

This hotel needs a total make-over and thorough cleaning. Stayed here because of proximity to Cooperstown Dream Park. Never again. Totally over-priced for value received. Have never had a Best Western experience like this before.

"Disappointed and Outdated"
NJFamilyofFive, 19 Juillet 2017

Just returned from a five night stay in Cooperstown New York. We were there for our son's baseball tournament along with 103 other teams. We had stayed at this hotel three years ago when our oldest son had played in the same tournament and were very pleased with how everything went including the staff. Unfortunately this trip was very disappointing as nothing seemed to be different and the staffs attitudes were bordering on surly the entire time. Being that there are very few hotel options in the Cooperstown area, we paid an exorbitant amount of money per night (north of $250/night), as this property is a half mile from the complex and they have a monopoly for the summer. No issue there, as it is what it is. The rooms were extremely dated including rust marks on all the bathroom fixtures, and super-thin towels. The workout room is embarrassing, as the treadmill and bike (1 of each) have locks on them that need keys from the front desk. When my wife went in one morning and neither the bike nor the treadmill was being used, she went to the front desk to ask for the key and since it was not returned the workout room couldn't be used. When she asked if there was a 'master key' to gain access to the equipment, she was told there was, but he would not provide it to her. She asked why and was told to "come back later" and maybe the key will be returned by then. Being that we were traveling with a team, we asked if we could access the one conference room at the hotel for a pizza party for the parents, and was told absolutely not. When asked why, I was encouraged to set up in the lobby. When the pool ran out of towels, we went to the front desk asking if we could get more and was told to get them from our room instead. Finally, when checking out of the hotel I was wearing a college t-shirt of my alma mater. The front desk attendant mentioned that her daughter was interested in that school but it "was an awful place" and in "a terrible area". I said that I had attended that school, and it was not in a terrible place and a great school and was given a surly "you're wrong.". All in all, a very disappointing visit and for what we paid for, it under-delivered.

"Cooperstown 2017"
S1636TBpaulb, 14 Juillet 2017

I thought the location was good and the room was nice but the lack of follow through by staff when it came to the cable TV set up was a real disappointment. Could not even watch the Baseball home run derby because the channel selections were all unknown.

"Expectations met!"
shardog, 13 Juillet 2017

We were in town for our son's baseball tourney and wanted to be as close to Dreamspark as possible. After reading mostly positive reviews we decided to stay here. Location: really can't be beat. Walking distance ( literally 2 minutes) to a grocery store , cafe, and a some fast food and a 3 minute drive to the fields. Rooms: basic and clean, housekeeping was very efficient. TV was pretty bad tho, only a few channels and channel changing on the remote was slow and delayed. Hotel overall was very quiet which was great. Service: excellent. From check in to check out every employee we met was professional and extremely pleasant. Kudos to the staff here on a job well done! The hotel manager knew our checkout could change depending on how our son's team played and he was totally flexible and accommodating. Keep your expectations realistic - this is a mid-range chain hotel in a tiny touristy town. Room rates will be way inflated during peak summer months, rooms are not fancy but clean.

"Captive in Cooperstown"
monicahP4152TY, 13 Juillet 2017

The hotel overall was very clean and comfortable. As with everything in Cooperstown, they know you are up there for one thing only.... Cooperstown Dream Park. The hotel is expensive for what you get. The breakfast was standard hotel fare. They could do more to accommodate siblings not attending Dream Park. The hotel is close to Dream Park and Downtown Cooperstown. The adults had a blast between games conquering the Cooperstown Brewery trail.

"Cooperstown visit"
donnacd139, 11 Juillet 2017

My son played at Cooperstown Dream Park and the Best Western is an ideal place to stay. It is literally a 3 minute drive to the fields and a 8 minute ride to Main Street. It is clean and the staff is young and very friendly. There is a shopping center a very short walking distance with a grocery store, a cafe, Pizza Hut and McDonalds. Prime location. I highly recommend staying at the Best Western if you plan on going to Cooperstown.

"Cooperstown stay"
anitasW3308KC, 11 Juillet 2017

This hotel is clean, the staff was friendly and it's right next to a grocery store. We enjoyed meeting other families from across the country who traveled like us to watch their son/grandson play at Dream's Park.

"Ordinary"
Sharon C, 10 Juillet 2017

We went to the Glimmerglass Festival. Unfamiliar with area so booked the Best Western as familiar name. Knew it was not in Cooperstown. B&Bs were more expensive I thought. But driving around there is a plethora of hotel and just as many prices. The our room was immaculate but the back staircase had a horrible smell. It was a faster way to exit the hotel rather than going to the lobby. The hotel is boringly ordinary. Great view of country from room

"Cooperstown best western"
christopherfA6436XY, 02 Juillet 2017

Good price and it was a good location being 5 miles from the baseball hall of fame. The Brewery Ommegang is less than a 10 minute ride and the Council Rock Brewery is 1/2 mile down the road as well. Great food options in both places

"Worst Experience Ever"
DCman63, 30 Juin 2017

The room was not worth the price they charged which was double the normal amount due to a little league baseball tournament going on. The room was filthy, hair on the bed, in the tub and on the toilet. There was food crumbs and potato chips on the bedroom floor and toilet paper on the bathroom floor. The room had not been dusted in a long time. Wallpaper was peeling off the walls and the floor tiles in the bathroom were loose and coming up. The electrical outlet in the bathroom started sparking and smoking, when we told the front desk they did not seem to worried about it. They said they would have maintenance look at it when they come in. I have stayed in a lot of hotels and this by far is the worst experience we have ever encountered.

"Pricey but nice"
Terry H, 25 Juin 2017

With this hotel being in Cooperstown, NY the rates were quite pricey. They are taking advantage of people being in town for the Cooperstown Dreams Park. The motel is clean and very accommodating in taking care on ones needs.

"Not worth the money at all"
404annemarieg, 24 Juin 2017

Hotel was filthy. Staff was friendly but ungroomed. Pool was not usable. Mold in bathroom. Bed linens were hanging off the bed on arrival. Table in lobby was dirty and sticky. Coffee had suds in it (soap?). Horrible hotel experience.

"Not what expected"
Dave S, 23 Juin 2017

Stay at BW many times per year. This is a dated hotel. Bathrooms need major upgrade and breakfast not very good. For the price, it was not worth it. Hotels are limited here and would try other major brands close by.

"Average stay"
237malindad, 23 Juin 2017

Room felt damp all week especially the bathroom. We had to run the bathroom exhaust fan constantly. It made the room have a slight odor. We exchanged bath towels every day because they were damp. It was nice that they had breakfast

"Poor quality for price"
andreabC2945YD, 21 Juin 2017

Stay in hotels 150 days a year for work. Went up for weekend baseball tourney with the family and were quite disappointed with our stay. Daughter went in pool had pink eye the next morning, asked a month in advance for early check in and was told to come back at 3pm. Bathroom had mold, for 225 a night, you expect better. The room was a good size but we were in the separate building.

"Baseball Trip"
alejandrot993, 16 Juin 2017

Very convenient location and friendly staff. We stayed for a 12U baseball tournament. The location was close to the park. The supermarket next fire was helpful to supple the teams with water and other necessities.

"Best Western is not a hotel to be recommended in Cooperstown"
jpeery1, 15 Juin 2017

We did not have a good experience at this Best Western in Cooperstown. Our room was not clean and the mattress was not comfortable. The location was great, but overall we would not recommend this hotel.

"Hall of Fame Hotel for your Family"
rwaynehar2016, 14 Juin 2017

For a family on a budget this is a great place to stay during your visit to the Baseball Hall of Fame. It is quiet, with conveniences nearby, picturesque scenery and a short drive to Cooperstown. A home run for the family with a standard breakfast, a round tripper if I've ever seen one!

"Great stay"
colganm, 14 Juin 2017

Great stay and very clean hotel. Close to baseball hall of fame. Also close to dream park making it a great stay for youth parents, players, teams, and families. I would recommend this hotel to any person.

"Ok- needs updating"
Will O, 11 Juin 2017

For the cost of $1400 for 7 nights - I would have expected a more updated- cleaner room. I guess because options are minimal- they can charge whatever amount... will explore other options when my youngest comes to Cooperstown dreamspark

"Cooperstown dreams park trip"
4shefd, 09 Juin 2017

Great friendly hotel. Close to park. Near grocery, restaurant, bank, liquor store. Perfect. Staff was very pleasant and accommodating. Was there for a week. Pool was good. Gym is small. Quiet. Clean. Good breakfast. Will use again. 4 miles from hall of fame.

"Nice place to stay"
lindakH896TR, 04 Juin 2017

This was a great value for the price! The few problems we reported were fixed immediately with a friendly smile. Staff were very professional! Breakfast was delicious with many choices. Just a couple of miles drive to catch the trolley into town. We would definitely stay here again!

"Clean and Courteous"
janetpW2237EG, 02 Juin 2017

Our reservations were perfect. The room was clean and amenities were in the room. The complimentary breakfast was good but not enough for the amount of guests. Very clean and courteous clientele. The building was clean and brochures were available for sightseeing.

"Will Definitely Return"
anneo787, 31 Mai 2017

Very comfortable, clean room. Very nice hotel staff and amenities. Close to Cooperstown and sites. We were very pleased with our choice of this hotel. I have been to Cooperstown 3 times, by far the best experience.

"Cooperstown Getaway weekend"
allgirlproductions, 27 Mai 2017

My finance and I had glorious day in Cooperstown and was trilled to find a best western conference of only 10 minutes from downtown. Value Price, hotel in walking distance to food, grocery store, liquor store. Hotel has fun arcade and well maintained pool. Staff was very helpful. We would stay there again.

"Pleasant stay"
dateichman, 24 Mai 2017

All aspects of the hotel were very acceptable. Close proximity to the Baseball Hall of Fame. We had a good stay and all the hotel staff were very helpful, courteous and professional. Breakfast room was very roomy and breakfast fare was very good.

"Overnight Business"
2busymomof3, 23 Mai 2017

The hotel was dated but clean. Internet available. The pool was clean and warm. The free breakfast selection was good but not available and not readily replaced. Over all stay was short. The size of the room was great if traveling with family. I would give this location another chance in the future.

"Great hotel for the price"
179annemariew, 22 Mai 2017

We stayed here for a weekend away to celebrate our anniversary. It was comfortable and clean, which are the most important qualities to us, and not far from Cooperstown. The Internet worked great, although it would have been nice to have a list of the TV channels; it was slow scrolling through them. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would come back.

"Lovey looking until you get to the room"
jkmacbct, 14 Mai 2017

The people working here were helpful and nice. The lobby looks great too. It's close to Cooperstown which is great but the room is dirty and the curtains are falling off the window. It was disgusting. I wouldn't have stayed if it wasn't graduation weekend and there were no other rooms available.

"Baseball Hall of Fame Trip"
jjonthemat, 13 Mai 2017

Convenient to town, our trip to Cooperstown was made even better with a good clean lodging to stay in. Our second floor room atn the Cooperstown Best Western was adequate for the three days in the area. Nice self serve breakfast in an area on the first floor and a small mall next door was an additional plus.

"Not Bad"
George P, 11 Mai 2017

Stayed here while picking up my daughter from college stayed at a few hotels in this area this is one of the better hotels enjoyed the breakfast buffet not bad overall room smell clean not moldy was satisfied

"Great middle-range hotel"
618ewal, 09 Mai 2017

We stayed at Best-Western Cooperstown Hotel to attend a concert in Cooperstown. The hotel is situated few miles from Cooperstown in the quiet area. It has a small swimming pool. Breakfast is excellent with variety of items ranging from eggs, bacon, breakfast potatoes to yogurts, muffins, breads, waffles, coffee, tea and juices. Since the room has a refrigerator and a microwave, we has a small supper in our room. Very relaxing.

"MLB HOF - Cooperstown, NY Visit"
davej18, 09 Mai 2017

Very convenient to downtown Cooperstown. Very clean and very friendly. Excellent service and great value. Would definitely stay again if given the opportunity. A lot of very good restaurants in the vicinity (Try the "New York Pizzeria". Excellent pizza and dinner for carry-out!)

"Pleasant stay"
L6436QEdanielr, 08 Mai 2017

Overall a very good facility and service. It is clean. The staff is friendly. Complementary breakfast had a variety of hot and cold items. The pool and fitness room are open from approximately 8:30 am to 9:00 pm which did not fit into the schedule for the conference I was attending.

"Don't call them suites"
daviddU2805LO, 30 Avril 2017

We have stayed at this hotel before when visiting Cooperstown, and were not surprised or disappointed in our last stay. The hotel is clean, neat and provides very good accommodations. Located just outside of Cooperstown, it is near most attractions, and is a good value. Breakfast is a plus, and is served in a nice spacious dining area, with plenty of room for everyone, as well as an outside dining area. Rooms are clean and well maintained. Staff is friendly, but a little unprofessional in manner and appearance. Particularly don't like the so-called "suites" which are just larger rooms with a couch, and are located in a separate building, away from all amenities. Good, inexpensive and recommended for anyone visiting the Cooperstown area.

"Buyer be ware"
77MeeshElle, 28 Avril 2017

This hotel has two buildings. The main building looked clean and new however we were assigned a room in what they called the lodge. This was a separate building across the parking lot that was not staffed. You needed your room key to get in. No lobby, no staff, just stained carpet, a musty smell and paper thin walls. If you planned to use the pool, fitness center or needed staff, you would need to walk to the main building across the parking lot. The only plus is that it is a very short drive to the Baseball hall of fame.

"Our stay was great"
Tina S, 27 Avril 2017

We were very happy with the stay. Hotel was great, . Beds we're comfortable and room was clean. Breakfast was a little slow and we were kind of in a hurry. Location was also hear. It was very close to everything. The staff was great

"BW Cooperstown"
A2135BUjohnd, 27 Avril 2017

Great place to stay. Clean, courteous staff and good breakfast. Would stay here again. Short trip to Hall of Fame about 10 minutes. Close to baseball complex. Recommend this property highly. Will stay here again.

"It was ok"
Sgr2940, 26 Avril 2017

The Best Western was clean and the staff was friendly and professional. Breakfast was ok but we waited for food to be heated. The pool was very cool but ok for swimming. We thought the hotel was closer to the Hall ofFame. It was too long to walk but a short ride.

"Great hotel for the price. Clean and great breakfast."
Lori B, 17 Avril 2017

Clean rooms with a great breakfast included although the seating at breakfast is extremely limited. Good value for the price and minutes from the hall of fame, breweries and museums. Staff was friendly.

"Great experience"
Gail S, 17 Avril 2017

Have stayed at Cooperstown Best Western many times and is always our "go to" when we visit the area. Located very close to Baseball Hall of Fame. Indoor pool area well maintained. Breakfast was well kept up considering number of guests. Requested adjoining room which was helpful since traveling with young family members. Rooms nicely decorated and comfortable. Only downside was there was no safe in one of the rooms so had to use other room's safe. Great overall experience.

"100% recommend"
deborahmZ4171RQ, 14 Avril 2017

Great rooms and service. The price is right. Location also great... only 10 minute drive from downtown. Pool was a hit. Tons of kids to play with. Small and not too deep. Kids had a blast. Very convenient and close to McDonald's Pizza Hut dollar store and grocery store.

"Great experience"
Kellie B, 14 Avril 2017

We had a great stay at Best Western ! The rooms were clean and spacious and the staff was helpful and friendly ! The kids liked the pool area and I enjoyed relaxing in the lobby while they were in there. I would definitely come back next time we are in Cooperstown

"you'll want to pass this one up, believe me!"
bn8638, 13 Avril 2017

worst stay ever! room wasn't clean. mold on bathroom floor.toilet paper holder jabbed your side every time you used the toilet. paper thin walls. heard EVERYTHING next door, above, and across the hall-very annoying, and of course the very nasty woman at front desk who said she would change my room, but all the room designs were identical and i would have same toilet paper holder jabbing my side-so, of course, what would that accomplish?

"Twice as nice! Our 2nd trip here to Cooperstown!"
Sonia P, 13 Avril 2017

We loved it here and came back to take our time looking around because there is a lot of history here in this town. My family and I will be back again next year. We feel there is STILL more tp be uncovered here in this little town. We are very interested to learn about the history of this place so needless to say, we shall be back!

"Great value and very nice"
don82159, 02 Avril 2017

A great option when in the area - the hotel is clean, in good repair, and offers a pool, hot tub, fitness center, small arcade, a gift shop and also provides a free breakfast with a large selection (eggs, meat, cereal, breads, fruit, etc.). The rooms are good size, and very clean.

"Pleasantly surprised"
Barbara D, 30 Mars 2017

We hadn't stayed at a Best Western in years and hoped it was as nice as in the pictures - and it was! Newer hotel, very nice room (King size had a comfy chair and ottoman), spacious. Only a few miles south of Cooperstown.

"Great place to stay!"
kristeng147, 29 Mars 2017

Staff was excellent, room was very comfortable and immaculately clean. Stayed 2 nights and moved on to next vacation spot. Reasonable rates, complimentary breakfast and indoor pool and hot tub, winning combo!

"Wonderful experience, will be staying again"
X9245XCnatalier, 27 Mars 2017

All of the employee's at the hotel are welcoming, friendly, and accommodating. It was quiet, the bed was comfortable, and the amenities were great. I was really impressed with the continental breakfast! My boyfriend had told me usually a continental breakfast serves fruit, oatmeal packages, and cereal. They did have that, but they also had fresh pancakes and waffles that could be made, french toast, bagels, sausage, breakfast burritos, eggs, and more. I left my debit card on the nightstand and work at a nearby hospital. I work very long shifts and would've had to drive back to the hotel and then an hour and a half home. The employee was stopping to visit a patient at the hospital and offered to bring my card to me. She was so thoughtful and did me such a big favor! I'll be staying again.

"Not the best we have been on"
Lorraine N, 25 Mars 2017

We arrived early and did not want to sit on a bed all night so asked if they had a suite. Knew the priced I booked the regular room for not realizing that was with tax so when they gave me the price for the suite I didn't think it was bad until I got the bill and the tax was added. I was not acknowledge as a elite member and offered a package or more points. Got to the room and the couch n chair was on the other side of the TV. So much for not disturbing my husband. The bed was comfortable but I hate the big fluffy pillows. Breaksfast was all right. The girl was helpful in the eat in area. The eggs were short so I let my husband have them and I had pancakes. The waffle machine was down.

"Second Time Great Stay"
AR72LQ, 17 Novembre 2016

I've stayed here twice in the last two years, as we take an annual trip to Cooperstown. The hotel has been excellent each time, the rooms are adequate, not fancy but fine for the cheap rate they charge. The hotel is also incredibly quiet, in the 4 nights I've stayed there I don't think I've heard another guest. The breakfast is also pretty good. All in all, the hotel is great clean and comfortable (and cheap) place to stay when in town, I highly suggest it and will be back next year!

"Nice Customer service and clean."
smedly16, 16 Novembre 2016

What else would you want for a nicely priced room? Cleanliness and great customer service? This place had both and is in a convenient location. No complaints, you can't go wrong for the price we paid.

"Completely satisfied! "
Patricia C, 13 Novembre 2016

Cooperstown is a small, rural town just on the outskirts of Oneonta. I was looking for a place to lay our heads (my two daughters, one an Oneonta college student, and her sister) after a chilly day enjoying FlyCreek Cider Mill, and having dinner at Council Rock Brewery, we arrived at Best Western. Knowing I was going to FlyCreek, I wasn't sure of the proximity between the two places, nor could I tell from looking on-line, just what was around us in the area, i.e.; shopping, food, gas, etc. I picked the perfect place! I don't like driving at night, even though Oneonta wasn't that far, I just wanted to relax, literally 1 minute from restaurant. This Best Western, although not having room-service or amenities I'm used of, was clean, comfortable, easy to get to, easy to check in, park, checkout, and to sleep. The beds were comfy and cozy. We didn't even use the heat. The room, two queen size beds, was well lite, had enough space for the 3 of us, small fridge, microwave, safe, and ample closet space, and great mirrors for ladies like us to do our morning makeup. The bathroom came with blow-dryer and sufficient towels. Shower was strong, perfect! Coffee was available in front lobby, a continental breakfast which we chose to skip, and free wi-fi, a nice swimming pool (which we didn't use, but nice), beautiful views of the mountains, a friendly staff, and relatively quiet. The lobby had a good size sitting area where I saw couples and families enjoying conversation. There is a grocery store next door (Tops) walking distance, along with a McDonalds and Pizza hut. I felt great about it, knowing I wasn't in the middle of nowhere, and if I needed a last minute item, I could walk to it. The price was so reasonable. If it was closer to SUNY Oneonta, I would have booked it for graduation! Totally recommend for one night, bonding with the girls after a long day enjoying the local breweries!

"Nice"
HectorFL, 11 Novembre 2016

We stayed one night, the room was cleaned and the bed was comfortable. Their location is not far from downtown. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was better than expected. They have ample free parking which came in handy.

"Best Western Cooperstown"
Tina M, 01 Novembre 2016

This was a very convenient hotel to stay at for the reason we were in town. It had everything we needed and was comfortable and accommodating. If it wasn't for the musty odor in the room it would have been excellent.

"OK for a ball team, so so for adult travelers"
Danny W, 30 Octobre 2016

Pretty thin walls and noise travels well so be aware. Heard teens until 2am and others the second night. Pretty clean with beautiful views out back. Limited accommodations in Cooperstown drives prices up even in the off season for a lackluster hotel. This is not Hampton class, but is adequate. One staffer was somewhat rude when we mentioned the toilet seat was broken on our way out. We were not trying to get any money refunded either, just passing info along. Squeaky floors and beds. An indoor pool is nice for your ball team. Breakfast is more than continental with some hot items available. A 10 minute drive to the HOF, five minutes to area ball fields and the trolly stop if in season. Grocery store, McDonalds, and Pizza Hut are all walkable thru the parking lot.

"Nice Place"
papajoe323, 28 Octobre 2016

Stayed at the Best Western for 2 nights in October while visiting The Baseball H.O.F. The room was large (2 queen beds) and was clean. The location is great -about 2-3 miles from downtown Cooperstown. They serve a continental breakfast which is O.K.- not great but adequate. It has an indoor pool also. I don't know what it is like in season but off season it was a great deal.

"Best Western/Cooperstown, New York"
Jacquelyn/jenni... O, 27 Octobre 2016

This place is only marginally clean; needs a complete renovation. We had no glassware; I ordered a wake-up call which did not come; as I checked out, the staff told me that "the order for the call did not get into the system" but never apologized. I will never stay at a Best Western again.

"Great experience at Cooperstown Best Western"
Kristen K, 24 Octobre 2016

Loved the baseball decor, breakfast and pool. Also beautiful view of the county side and turning of the leaves in the fall. Staff was very friendly. Room was perfect for a larger family as there was room for a blow up mattress. I just wish sink had been outside the shower room.

"general overnight with friends for antique show"
Barry M, 22 Octobre 2016

Not sure what u mean We all had a great time and the service was very good This is the 3rd year that we have stayed at Best western and have enjoyed them all we try to make all the antique tractor shows at the farmers museum What we really liked was that they let us have a room to ourselves to get together eat and shoot the breeze

"Baseball Hall of Fame and Leafpeeping"
egurganus, 17 Octobre 2016

Great place to stay when visiting the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown. Close to shopping and restaurants. Perfect location to enjoy the changing colors of Fall in Upstate New York. Staff was friendly and efficient. Scrambled eggs at breakfast (meh), but otherwise a nice layout.

"Perfect for overnight"
tarvum, 12 Octobre 2016

My husband and I were on our way to Niagara Falls and decided to stop halfway and spend the day in Cooperstown. We ended up staying at the Best Western which was a really nice stay. The rooms were clean, quiet and had everything we needed. Even a nice warm breakfast to start our day. If we were to come through Cooperstown again we would definitely stay here.

"Excellent Hotel"
michelle r, 12 Octobre 2016

Great hotel, nice spacious rooms. Very nice and clean, great staff. You can beat the free hot breakfast. My son enjoy the indoor pool. Close to the village of Cooperstown. Good value and overall and very pleasant stayed. I loved that it is located inside a plaza with a grocery store and other eating places.

"A Place to Stay - Mediocre"
923juliusd, 10 Octobre 2016

Accommodations are OK - rooms clean, property is well maintained. The staff was very ho-hum. No advice/excitement about baseball and Cooperstown. No bar! Fairly close to some local restaurants. Not far from Baseball Hall of Fame.

"Hotel"
Robert W, 10 Octobre 2016

Hotel provided good value, clean and well maintained. Staff was quickly responsive to problem with smoke detector needing a new battery. Convenient to points of interest in area. The breakfast offerings were excellent.

"Family Trip to Cooperstown"
Amy/james G, 10 Octobre 2016

Enjoyed a beautiful Fall weekend in Cooperstown with family. the location of this hotel is withing easy driving distance to town and restaurants. Comfortable and clean. Great service and upbeat staff.

"Great Hotel, Great City"
Ken J, 10 Octobre 2016

We fell in love with Cooperstown in general, and this hotel made our stay even more enjoyable. We stayed 2 nights and would like to have stayed longer. The location made it possible for us to get to many venues in the area with minimal effort.

"Good value "
Lou N, 05 Octobre 2016

Good value. Free breakfast and wifi. Comfy bed. Extra towels. Smelled a little damp and hall carpets bit stained but location was great and overall a good deal. Pretty cool to have stores in same parking lot. Planning on being back next yr.

"Our Brewery Ommengang (Cooperstown)Wedding Guests Were Very Happy"
Isabel/tony/lor... M, 03 Octobre 2016

When our daughter and now son-in-law decided on being wed at the beautiful Brewery Ommengang, we searched the Cooperstown area for great hotels in different price ranges, close to the venue. Our number one choice was Best Western, because we had stayed in it while choosing amongst venues. it is highly rated and less than a 9 minute drive...which made setting up the Tour Coach ride for our guests much easier. We also chose two other places in a direct line, a little further out. Only 3 rooms were booked at the second hotel, and another 18 rooms about 20 minutes out. Of our 125 guests, the vast majority chose the Best Western...and it worked out perfectly. Good beds, clean, nicely furnished rooms, breakfast, wifi, plus Plenty of good, close-by parking...and, a large enough lobby to greet arrivals, large breakfast room to enjoy with others....and importantly a short trip to the wonderful wedding venue. Good staff/EXCELLENT Mananger

"A wonderful experience"
Joshua W, 30 Septembre 2016

Excellent Hotel, excellent location, extremely clean, extremely nice employees. This location was perfect as it is only about five miles from the Baseball Hall of Fame. The staff was most helpful in recommending places to eat, locations to visit. When I return to visit this area, I will definitely stay at this location!

"Good for travelers on a budget"
mbran72, 25 Septembre 2016

My husband and I booked two rooms here for a visit with my parents to the Baseball Hall of Fame. In general, we were pleased. Rooms need some updating, and the AC unit rattled. But the service was very good. The hotel needed us to move from one of the rooms and relocated us to the Pete Rose Suite, which was huge.

"Nice Hotel, Good Service"
Shellqueen2014, 21 Septembre 2016

Stayed here to be close to Cooperstown to see Baseball Hall of Fame. Very nice views. Good service, good breakfast. Would stay here again. Seemed to be two buildings. Wondered if there was a difference. We stayed in check-in building where pool and breakfast was service.

"Day trip"
Edward R, 20 Septembre 2016

Ask for a room with a view behind the hotel. The scenery should be included in your stay. Especially if you stay during the fall when the trees are turning colors. The hotel should have had all the rooms with the scenic view.

"Yearly baseball tournament stay"
Bobyankeefan1, 14 Septembre 2016

Our team stays at the Best Western every year and it is always consistently pleasant. We are pleased with the service and the hospitality which keeps us coming back. Rooms are clean, TV is new, AC works great, pool and hot tub are well kept. The rates are reasonable when splitting rooms as well. Great view also from the deck out back.

"Some good some bad"
DonMcW66, 06 Septembre 2016

My wife and I spent 2 nights here over the Labour Day Weekend. The hotel is 5km (2.5ml) from Cooperstown Downtown, not walking distance, but good value. Nice clean hotel with all amenities and Breakfast, a hot Breakfast is included. Coffee maker and large fridge and microwave in the room. We were a little disappointed in that we left our room at 9:30am and returned at 5pm to get ready for a nice dinner and our room was still not made up. The hotel was no were near full so I have no idea why it would have taken so long

"BW pitches a poor game in Cooperstown"
mylesbethb, 06 Septembre 2016

Price was ok, but room was dark, bathroom tiny, rooms weren't vacuumed during the visit, hallways dirty, exercise room very small, and the manager refused to work with us about an early checkout. I would not go back.

"Cooperstown Baseball"
Lisa/bradford W, 31 Août 2016

I would highly recommend the Best Western Hotel for any family visiting the area. We stayed for 6 nights, the hotel staff was very accommodating, the rooms were cleaned thoroughly and the hotel is very convenient to Dreams Park and down town Cooperstown.

"Pleasant Stay"
Melissa B, 29 Août 2016

We stayed here for a quick one-night business trip. Rooms spacious, we had a handicap accessible room with a good sized bathroom. Enjoyed the breakfast in the morning. They also have an indoor pool which is nice. Would go back again.

"An average experience, but certainly over-priced"
Ginette M, 28 Août 2016

The beds were comfortable, so we had a good night's sleep, but it seems like we were paying NY city prices for a night of average lodgings in the Catskills. We wound up paying a high premium, due to the Baseball Camps that had their final play-off weeks at the same time we had a family re-union planned. Since we were not there for the Baseball tournaments, it felt like a very steep price to spend a night at an average hotel way up in the Catskills region.

"Pretty Good"
User, 19 Août 2016

We came up for 2 nights to go to the Baseball Hall of Fame, everything was pretty good. The only problem there was the windows were dirty, there was a dead fly on the window sill, and the kitchen table was broken and not replaced. The bathroom is also pretty small. Other than that it was a good stay.

"Great place to stay!"
Len V, 19 Août 2016

We stayed 2 nights at the Best Western Cooperstown. Rooms were comfy and spacious, Kids loved the pool, and we all loved the breakfast. Fantastic views from the deck outside the breakfast room.Close to the Blue Lot for the Trolley to town, near a few other destinations. Highly recommended!

"One Night stay"
Dawn/ryan D, 19 Août 2016

Staff service very good. Cleanliness of room poor. Green mold on the toilet bowl, dirt between nightstand and bed, rolled up socks from previous occupants under the bed. Very expensive for one night and amenities.

"Excellent Place To Stay"
jennlovesfood, 18 Août 2016

This is one of the better hotels we stayed in during our two week trip through New York and Ohio. The Cooperstown Best Western was extremely clean, modern and in a fantastic location. It is minutes from Dreams Park one way and minutes from the Baseball Hall of Fame the other way. There is a swimming pool and breakfast is provided in the morning. I also loved that there were food places in the same parking lot...a few fast food places and grocery story (which is priceless). I love and adore Cooperstown and plan on coming back next year so we can bring a team to one of the Dreams Park tournaments. I can't think of a better place to stay when we do!!

"Not up to standard "
colleenb92, 15 Août 2016

Unfortunately, this hotel did not meet normal BW standards. We were placed in the second building, which was more run down and outdated. Room was oddly set up and there were flies in there when we arrived. AC was off too, so it took quite awhile to cool down on a 90 degree day. Bath drain didn't work well. Disappointed overall and definitely not worth the price. Would recommend to look elsewhere in Cooperstown.

"Overpriced hotel"
Marthav12324, 11 Août 2016

Nice hotel to stay in the Cooperstown area. Rooms are big and comfortable, but cleanliness in the room and the hotel area has to improve substantially. But the price is not relative to what the hotel offers. I know everything is according to offer and demand, but the prices are way overboard and unethical. Yes this is the busy season in Cooperstown with all the visitors and all the boys playing in the baseball tournaments nearby. But $289 for a double room is not reasonable. It should be illegal to charge that in a hotel like this. We knew what we were paying but we did not had any alternative in the area. We enjoyed the stay but consider a ripoff what they charged us for the room. Breakfast is OK. I recommend management to be more reasonable if you want to maintain a reputation of fair business. Just to finish we have paid less than that in 4 and 5 stars hitels in much better busy areas.

"Never Again!"
Jenny G, 11 Août 2016

As a Best Western Rewards member, this has been the worst experienced I've had. Our room was located on the 1st floor (rm 319) of the 2nd building and all night we could hear the loud sounds of what sounded like a trash compactor, and extremely loud noises which made our stay (2 adults; 3 children) extremely unpleasant. The breakfast area was not attended, tables were dirty, and no attendant in sight to assist with the cleaning of tables. When I finally decided to contact the front desk and ask for someone to help, the woman was very rude when I asked for a simple "wet cloth to wipe our table". From the front desk attendant (Trevor), all the way to noises (pipes. water running, trash compactor) that interrupted our sleep and had the kids up all night. From the funky smell coming out of the a/c....I could go on and on!

"One night stay for a concert"
ltbv777, 10 Août 2016

Great place to stay in the area. Really close to Ommegang and to town. Very clean and close to shopping and restaurants. They do offer a breakfast but we chose to wander into downtown and closer to the Hall of Fame. The location appears to be in sort of a strip mall but the upside is you can walk to some restaurants and a Tops market if you need anything. The staff was friendly and helpful when we asked about restaurants and directions. The price seemed high for the area however this is peak season for them.

"Unfortunately, not worth the money"
Doug M, 01 Août 2016

We expected much better, given the reviews and the cost. Our view was of a McDonald's drive-thru, the door to the hall was located next to the head of one of the beds - but we can credit these simply to poor design. The cost in no way reflected the product, but we can chalk that up to supply, demand and greed...the american way.

"REASONABLE AND COMFORTABLE"
nascar211, 31 Juillet 2016

Overall nice place to stay.Clean and efficient.Close to attractions though you will need a car. Mcdonalds and a supermarket are connected to the property so good for kids.Located on the major road into town.Easy to get to.

"Good hotel option near Cooperstown"
Archited2013, 30 Juillet 2016

Stayed here on business in July 2016. This hotel is a little further away from Cooperstown then I thought. It's about 10 minutes from Cooperstown. The drive is easy though. One nice aspect of being outside town is that there is a plaza right by the hotel with a supermarket and some fast food places. The hotel is average - but the room was clean. There was a frig in the room which is nice. there is a pool. I'm not a huge fan of first floor rooms but it was quiet. The hallways are interior. I would prefer to stay in town next time but this is a good choice for a good clean average room. The bed was very comfortable. The HVAC unit was a bit loud.

"Great Customer Service!"
Celeste M, 30 Juillet 2016

People at the front desk are so kind and helpful, they even upgraded our room so that we'd have a suite. We stayed here after a horrible debacle at another lodging, so it was refreshing to meet people who know a thing or two about customer service! Rooms are very clean and updated. Plenty of room and nice views looking towards the back of the hotel. The pool is large and there is a nice jacuzzi, large enough for a big group. Breakfast is nice, although I wish the cereal bins were replaced with cereal boxes for those with food allergies. The woman who runs the breakfast (forgot her name) was so helpful in directing us to the foods our daughter could eat. There is a waffle making station that was a big hit with the many children who were staying. Surrounding the hotel is a strip mall with grocery/liquor/some small take out style restaurants. There is also a McDonald's right next door. Our room was directly next to the elevator and we didn't hear any noise and we all slept soundly.

"Enjoyed our visit!"
mcdonald1230, 23 Juillet 2016

First, of all, we loved the beds! For the first time in a long time, I woke up without shoulder or neck pain. Breakfast was a great convenience and the outdoor view as we ate it was beautiful. The indoor pool area was warm, but typical for a pool area. The family enjoyed it each evening. We liked having a little fridge in the room. One downfall was poor wifi, but the front desk did contact their provider to try to resolve it. We were able to buy tickets to the NBHOF at the front desk which was very convenient. It is close to Cooperstown and has a few fast food places and a grocery store in a neighboring parking lot. Front desk staff had recommended eating at Council Rock Brewery. Great recommendation!

"Overpriced but one of the more decent places near Cooperstown"
alphamom, 22 Juillet 2016

We visited and spent 2 nights at the Best Western Plus. We were placed in the main building with the pool and checkin. It was also behind McDonalds not beside (there are 2 buildings). It is convenient to Chinese, subway, McD's and 24 hour grocery store. 10-15 minute ride to BBall Hall of Fame and 5 minutes to Field of Dreams Ballpark. It smells damp (assume from the pool) and my sheets hair hair in the bed. They happily changed them and were apologetic. The room is over priced for what you get. I felt like I needed to wipe down the room to make sure it was clean for my family myself. The first morning breakfast was barely stocked so we had to go to McD's (bleck but kids were hungry) it was a little more stocked the second day. In the small arcade room only 2 games worked. The coffee/tea bar in lobby was empty by the afternoon. So it was safe but overpriced and one of the better placed to book to be close to the HOF if you don't want to travel. One the plus side there is a lot of wildlife watching out the room window if you located in the back near the fields and my children and husband really enjoyed that part of the stay.

"Best Location for Dreams Park but WAY overpriced for average room"
BRADLEY F, 20 Juillet 2016

Nice spacious lobby, average room for the brand, but WAY overpriced! You are mainly paying for the location only of course, and only if you are here for the baseball dreams park. Baseball teams dominate the highly visible pool off the lobby, so don't plan on a quiet adult swim. We stayed one night here, but since our player was in barracks anyway, we found that the drive to Albany back and forth each day was well worth it. 70 minute but Beautiful drive, no traffic no matter what you hear, and the nicer hotels there were one-third the price! Well worth it. Still saw all the games, but could relax in comfort at night, saved well over $1,000 over the course of the week. If you do stay, breakfast ends earlier than most hotels, they cut it off on the dot and weren't the least apologetic about leaving us standing there watching others finishing theirs!

"Enough space, friendly staff but dark and smelled bad"
Me75rn, 16 Juillet 2016

This hotel challenged my idea that all I really need in a hotel is that it is safe and clean for my family. Because it was safe (though one of the doors to the building that should have required a key to open didn't) and it was clean enough. And let me say that everyone who worked there was very pleasant and helpful. I found the hallways of the building we were in to be dark. There were sconces lighting the hall but it still seemed dank. The room had plenty of space to sleep my 6 but as soon as we arrived we noticed the smell. We hoped it was from being shut up on a warm day and that the a/c would help but it didn't. I inquired if it had been a pet room and was told it was not. It was just stinky and dark. We were also unable to connect to wifi and my husband spent quite some time trying to rectify that with no result.

"Baseball Stay"
Paul M, 12 Juillet 2016

If you will be in Dreams Park, this is the place for you if you are looking for a hotel and not a rental or motel. The rooms averaged around 200. It is right across the street from dreams Park. There is fast food and a supermarket right next door. The hotel is clean and modern. We had no complaints. There is a holiday inn next door and it was relatively empty. I checked their prices and they were over 300 a night. Seriously, they are delusional. Anyway, we actually booked a suite at the BW. The suites are across the parking lot and quite frankly are definitely not worth the extra money. IMHO. The bathroom was the size of a closet and the bathroom sink was in the room itself and not in the bathroom. We switched to the main building and we thought the room was much nicer. But if you need extra room, I guess you have no choice. There is an outdoor deck behind this hotel with breathtaking views of the mountains. We found it by accident, no one was ever out there. The pool area is hot and chlorine filled but not any different than other indoor pools. Our only knock on this BW was that the lobby was very warm and uncomfortable to socialize in. On a rainy day it was a problem. But overall we really liked this place.

"Family Getaway"
Chris B, 12 Juillet 2016

Clean, spacious, and perfect for families of 5 or more who need a little extra space. Kids enjoyed the pool and it was close to the Baseball Hall of Fame and Doubleday Field. The breakfast was good and added to the value of the hotel for families.

"Overpriced and Cut Rate"
BLee2115, 11 Juillet 2016

This hotel left much to be desired, especially for a branded hotel chain. The window in our room leaked, the mattresses were made of foam, the bathrooms were horribly dirty, and the hot tub jets just bubbled cold water. And at $250 a night, they took our money and then some.

"Convenient hotel to Dreams Park, Copperstown, NY"
18Aurea, 09 Juillet 2016

The hotel is conveniently located to Dreams Park. We stayed in a Junior Suite that can sleep 6 people - good for a family to stay. The room was clean and spacious but has a musty smell so we opened our windows for a few minutes. The breakfast is just average. Next time I go back to Cooperstown, I will stay in this hotel again rather than try the other B & B in the area.

"Good deal and location"
Bubblesk633, 09 Juillet 2016

This hotel didn't come up during our initial searches for Cooperstown hotels, because it is in "Hartwick" instead of "Cooperstown." Honestly, I didn't even notice. It's close to Doubleday Field and the N.B.H.O.F. The breakfast attendant helped me load up my tray with delicious items, including pumpkin waffles, to take back to my husband and children in the room. I was able to buy our tix to the HOF at the front desk, and there was plenty of parking along the side of the building, so we could pull up right by the entrance closest to our room. Right next to a plaza with groceries and shops. I would definitely stay here again.

"Great location"
Balerno0, 08 Juillet 2016

We were a little frustrated that we did not arrive in Cooperstown until late in the afternoon as a result of delays in getting our hire car from NYC. We were made to feel so welcome that the frustrations of the day just disappeared. It turned out that we had been given the honeymoon suite, complete with spa bath. The hotel is great for families and the breakfast for more that adequate to set you up for the day. It is a little out of town so we had to drive to the Hall of Fame but an easy drive. Definitely a great space in a great little town.

"Comfy room"
User, 06 Juillet 2016

Great location, nice asst manager Scott??. Comfy beds very clean place . But for over $200/ nite ( holiday) the breakfast eggs and or omelets and meat could have been more palatable. The pool is handicap accessible. We did get kicked out of the pool early for dubious reasons"water pressure problems" we have to close the pool early??

"Loved everything except the overchlorinated pool"
tazmok, 27 Juin 2016

The room we had was excellent, with good lighting and comfortable seating. The location of the hotel is wonderful - look out the back, and the setting is bucolic. There's even a porch off the breakfast room where you can sit and enjoy the view. (The porch can be reached even when the breakfast room is locked.) There's a small arcade with pinball and a few other games. The location is right next to a shopping mall, with a Tops grocery store and a Family Dollar store, so it's easy to pick up snacks and other things you might have forgotten. The trip into Cooperstown is quite easy, and doesn't take too long. The breakfast is good, and most days the attendant is super nice and keeps things well stocked. Her day off was a bit more spotty. The desk staff was friendly and competent. The only gripe we had was too much chlorine in the pool.

"Enjoyable"
mcdon4173, 23 Juin 2016

Staff was welcoming and attentive. Facility is comfortable and welcoming. Rooms are fine, as are beds. Location is great. Area is nice. A quite comfortable experience. Strongly recommend if visiting in this area.

"Best Western Cooperstown"
William R, 21 Juin 2016

Upon arrival I felt like Bevis and Butthead were doing the check in. Difficult to say the least. Once in our room the wifi was slower than molasses in the winter. Beds were so high off the floor that my wife had difficulty getting in and the shower was such that while standing in it we thought we were going to fall thru the floor. we paid a premium price for a motel that was well below expectation.

"Odd "
abicusil, 19 Juin 2016

Room was good sized but space used poorly. Bathroom was inexplicably tiny, could barely open the door. Pillows were small, towels were not exactly white. Just felt dirty. TV was in a weird spot. Decor not so great, pretty out of date. We stayed in the building closer to the road so the other building is perhaps nicer. For the price it was not worth it.

"Dream bed near Dreams Park"
Sherry J, 19 Juin 2016

Comfy bed, clean room, friendly staff. Would have like to check out a day earlier but had to stay an extra night. Next time I stay in Cooperstown, I would suggest checking out the day of tournament and check back in if you need to stay.

"Review of Hotel Stay"
Chris S, 10 Juin 2016

This hotel offered a clean room and amenities. The free breakfast had many choices, but the food was cold. The swimming pool was indoors and heated. We enjoyed our stay and would stay here again in the future

"Giving Average as Staff was nice"
Jenrenv, 09 Juin 2016

Otherwise I would give it a poor. The rooms need updating, the beds were horrible, you can hear every creak in the rooms above you and that is a lot of creaking. There is a moldy smell going on. The pool was small, but good to quickly cool down in. Breakfast was okay. Maid service missed things like trash cans, which I thought was odd. Front desk was helpful and friendly. WiFi was a joke and hardly worked if at all.

"Very convenient to Dreams Park"
embee62, 07 Juin 2016

Jr. suite. spacious and comfortable. A few things were a bit worn, but nothing that should deter families wanting to be near the ball parks. I continue my one woman crusade against CFL bulbs that seem to be in every hotel bathroom over the past 2-3 years. They are dim and take too long to warm up. I really detest CFLs for the insufficient light they provide. CFLs make bathrooms seem dark and dingy. Breakfast was typical. Pool is rather small.

"Overall good hotel!"
surfergirl560, 07 Juin 2016

My party of 2 recently stayed here while visiting the Dreams Park. Overall, this hotel is pretty good. The front desk staff were all friendly and helpful, and there is a pool, but it is right when you walk in the front door to the right. Our room was spacious and nice. The only thing I did not like was the very loud air conditioner. It seems especially loud at night when you are trying to sleep. I also wished there was a bedside lamp. Instead, there are very bright overhead lights. My last complaint is that there was a lack of outlets near the beds, which would have been nice. The beds were comfy and so were the pillows. The bathrooms and shower were nice. Another plus about this hotel is the fact that it is extremely close (within 2-3 minutes) of the Cooperstown Dreams Park. Overall, this hotel is a pretty good stay.

"personal"
Bill R, 06 Juin 2016

Returning to the baseball Hall of Fame and would recommend this hotel as a good value, very comfortable, and family safe place to stay when visiting the area. The staff is friendly and very knowledgeable & helpful about the amenities of the surrounding community.

"Great Hotel "
Michelle M, 30 Mai 2016

Really cute hotel with spacious and clean rooms. We stayed in the main building. Front desk staff was extremely helpful with suggestions on restaurants and local taxis. There is a shopping center with a grocery store, liquor store and quick fast food just steps away. Easy to find and close to everything! Will definitely stay again when we are in the area!

"Average"
Rosanne M, 30 Mai 2016

The hotel was average, not excellent but needed updating. The location was good, close to town. The breakfast was good but not anything special. The staff was helpfull but nothing special. I was very disappointed about the security laxed in our additional building.

"Love this hotel"
Katie S, 27 Mai 2016

This is my 3rd stay at this particular hotel.Unfortunately due to work schedule, I could only stay overnight. Since I was traveling with my son and his friend, we reserved a suite in the separate building which was very nice, clean and quiet. I wished I could have stayed another day or two. Breakfast was awesome and staff was awesome. I highly recommend staying here if you are planning a visit to Cooperstown. Its central to both the Field of Dreams and Cooperstown's Main Street!

"Good solid choice"
Kenton M, 26 Mai 2016

Convenient place for visit to HOF (10 min away). Staff friendly. Room clean, wifi worked well. All amenities provided. Pool seemed to get some use. The free breakfast was truly outstanding - omelets, canadian bacon, lots of pastries, fruit, cereal - and nice big room to eat in. Only wish they had a real restaurant next door instead of McD's and P-Hut.

"ruined evening"
dano1962, 23 Mai 2016

Spent the night after visiting the Baseball Hall of Fame. I found an affordable hotel with a good location. perfect for my wife and I to stay there. Walking in we thought it was very nice. Check in was smooth. Everything was fine until the gave us our keys and we went to the room to find someone in it already. Needless to say it was vey embarrassing to both of us. I wanted to be moved to another floor to avoid running into that guest. The staff apologized profusely but that is one thing you have to get right in a hotel. Apparently it was a family member of an employee. They needed to be clear on this and not leave it to chance. What would have been a very nice stay was ruined. I kept worrying about walking in to the guest we walked in on.

"Poor customer service, room dirty and in disrepair"
Upstater2016, 22 Mai 2016

I know that Cooperstown isn't exactly an inexpensive place to stay, but we paid close to $200.00 a night for a room at this Best Western in the off season. This is before the spring time activities begin in the area. We were given a room that was under repair, ripped couch cushions, air conditioner unit without a cover and the coils exposed, tears in the wall paper, rust around the toilet, dust, stains, etc. We left almost immediately to go out to eat as we had been travelling and had hungry children. When we came back, the maintenance guy had come into our room unbeknownst to us and had worked on the air conditioner. I called the 1-800 number that was on my reservation sheet as this was the number I was given to call with issues. I was then asked to speak with the front desk. When I did, the lady behind the desk blamed me for not calling them and said that it was not the hotel's fault...that I should never have called the Best Western 1-800 THAT WAS ON MY RESERVATION but should have come to them with the issue and asked for another room. Completely ridiculous! The hotel knew that we were arriving, yet the room was under repair and was entered by maintenance without letting us know, then WE were treated rudely because THEY made the mistake! Never ever staying here again.

"Convenient, Clean, Contemporary"
dmalmal, 19 Mai 2016

Delightful, cost-effective surprise just a short ride outside of downtown Cooperstown. This Best-Western is located next door to a shopping center with food store, Pizza restaurant, and McDonalds. We spent one night here on a road trip to Cooperstown and it was an excellent choice. Because of the pool, closeness to shopping center, and included breakfast, this would be a good choice for families with young kids as well.

"Comfortable & clean"
Marti W, 17 Mai 2016

While this is a little outside Cooperstown, it was perfect for us. Clean, comfortable and large rooms. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. Make sure you drive around the area while you are there. See the countryside, and the beautiful city. This place was awesome!!

"Great Stay"
amandabG7608VS, 16 Mai 2016

Best Western is one of the best hotels I have stayed at. It was clean and well organized. The staff was super nice and very friendly!!! Check out was very easy. Could be more selections for breakfast. Overall great stay.

"Great hotel and great value"
Thomas B, 09 Mai 2016

The Best Western staff (front desk and house cleaning) was excellent. Room was clean and fresh. Beed was comfortable and everything in the room was in perfect worknig order (shower, toilet, TV, fridge, microwave). Interior and exterior of hotel are well maintained. Hotel is convenienctly located next to a plaza with a grocery store, coffee shop, McDonald's and Pizza Hut. Hotel is just a few miles south of the Village of Cooperstown. It's a quick, scenic and easy ride.

"Baseball hall of fame weekend trip"
Christina F, 09 Mai 2016

This hotel was very convenient and close to the Hall of Fame (about 10 minute drive). There is a McDonalds and Pizza Hut right outside. Hotel is very nice baseball themed. Two queen bed rooms are nice with ample space mini fridge and microwave. Pool is small and hot tub was out of order. The only issue was we went to dinner to come back and not be able to enter our room magnet key lock turned green but would not unlock. Manager came up and then told us we would have to wait for maintenance. We waited in the lobby about 50 minutes until maintenance was able to enter our room. The only offer made for the inconvenience was any snack from the snack room. Other than that breakfast was ok. There were travel baseball teams who took up the whole dining room Saturday morning and the person keeping the breakfast moving was doing her best to keep up. Sunday different girl slower pace not as crowded.

"Trip to Cooperstown"
Aurora L, 01 Mai 2016

Overall our stay here was great! Rooms were very clean. Hotel had a very clean and welcoming appearance. Lobby was clean and modern. Breakfast was very good. My son loved the pool. My only complaint was that the temperature of the hot tub was not very "hot". It says that it can get up to 104 degrees and when I asked one of the staff to check on it they said that it was only at 90 degrees. That was on our last night of our stay. The first night temperature seemed to be warmer than 90 degrees, but definitely not 104.

"Location is in a shopping plaza"
newtoposting, 30 Avril 2016

This is a nice clean hotel, and my kids liked the pool. It was a comfortable temp for the parents too. The location is behind a McDonald'a and Tops in a shopping area. Room was clean although on the small side.

"Nice hotel to stay at"
Robert G, 30 Avril 2016

The Best Western in Cooperstown, NY was a very good place to stay as it is one of the better Best Westerns I've stayed at in the last 10 years. Nice and quiet and clean. Close to the Baseball Hall of Fame (within 4 miles) but away from the loudness.

"Great Hotel at Better Rates"
DFM_58, 27 Avril 2016

The hotels located right in Cooperstown are very expensive, so this makes a great option. It's only about 30 minutes away and you save enough money to have a couple of nice meals. The rooms are quite clean and very comfortable. There are some quite nice and inexpensive restaurants nearby. Add to this, the drive to Cooperstown is quite pleasant. You really have to give it a try and save yourself some cash to boot!

"Very nice motel in a great location"
skifamAberdeen_Nj, 27 Avril 2016

We would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Cooperstown. The hotel is nicely decorated. The beds were extremely comfortable and the breakfast offered many hot and cold options. The hotel is also in a very convenient location across the parking lot from a supermarket and just a short drive to the Baseball Hall of Fame.

"Great Value"
rmac34, 26 Avril 2016

Spent two nights here, great staff clean rooms, nice location. You can not beat the breakfast that they serve you as part of the deal. NOT just a coffe and donut, a GREAT deal for you and the kids. Very near the field of dreams, and not far from downtown.

"Hey, its a bed"
JHT48310, 24 Avril 2016

If the price is right for you and you are visiting Cooperstown, this property is certainly adequate. Its about 10 minutes outside of town. The breakfast when we stayed was certainly mediocre at best, but the rooms were clean enough. We were in the annex though and the internet was barely usable.

"everything excellent"
becky75_9, 24 Avril 2016

we met our son and his wife and children for a family getaway-Cooperstown was about 3 hours drive for each-we just loved everything we did, ate and The Best Western!! I absolutely recommend this in every way!!

"Pretty Basic Hotel, Good Location, Budget-Friendly Rooms"
Joe S, 21 Avril 2016

There aren't that many places to stay in Cooperstown, but if you're in town for a night or maybe a few, the Best Western Cooperstown will more than fit the bill. It has average amenities, basic rooms and uncomfortable beds, but the setting and scenery nearby are solid and the prices are budget friendly.

"So glad we stayed here!"
Madeliene F, 20 Avril 2016

our room at the end on the 2nd floor was so nice and clean, overlooking the mountains. big tv, small fridge and microwave and a grocery store in the same shopping center (also really good chinese food, a mcdonalds, liquir store, and dollar store). the hotel staff is friendly, helpful, and to quote a former review, you really cant beat the price. im so happy i booked here- if we come back to see the hall of fame again, i wouldnt stay anywhere else.

"Enjoyable stay"
Alonzo C, 16 Avril 2016

Hotel is located next to shopping center which makes it nice to obtain things you might need. Hotel is not very old and has all the updated things you look for when travelling. Room was nicely decorated and very clean. Wi-Fi surprised us as it pretty fast and no problems getting on line. Nice place to stay when visiting baseball hall of fame. Will definitely stay there again.

"Nice hotel"
Peppy1968, 12 Avril 2016

Traveling for business, never stated here, but was pleasantly surprised. Very nice no frills hotel. Pleasant staff and clean room. Would stay again. Many places to eat very close, so that was a plus also. If you're in Cooperstown I would recommend staying here.

"Snow bound"
David C, 05 Avril 2016

My family were on a long weekend tour of New York. We almost always try to stay at a Best Western. This facility was very clean and the staff very friendly. The only issue we came across was the walls seem to be very thin. The room next to ours kept their TV on all night, which woke us throughout the night.

"great staff and nice rooms"
Brian H, 05 Avril 2016

We came to cooperstown for some business and a little tluring. Scott was great, very helpful and he really makes the hotel experience there fantastic,. Hotel is close to town, 5 minutes or so, easy to get there with no confusion

"Awesome place to stay"
goldie c, 31 Mars 2016

This hotel more than met our expectations. Rooms were clean and well maintained. Breakfast was fantastic. Would highly recommend to anyone who asked. Was within four miles of Cooperstown. Loved the close vicinity to town and even some of the small towns in area. Did some antiquing and sightseeing without travelling long distances. Would definitely recommend the Secret Cavern. It was very cool. Loved the waterfall at the bottom of the cavern.

"Worst experience, not for families"
Lucy5555, 29 Mars 2016

This was the worst experience I have ever had at any hotel in the world. I have stayed at many best western with my little ones, so I wasn't expecting it. If you are considering this hotel, do yourself a favor and book the holiday inn the next door. Families, be aware, they dont have cribs, and they wont tell you until you arrive (even if you call, they will say yes, but it wont be true). We booked 2 nights at the best western, we chose a double room, indicating it was an adult and 2 kids, the ages of the kids we clicked on 2years and 0 years. We added a note to make sure and said we were requesting a crib for our infant. My husband went the extra mile and called 1800best western and asked if they had seen the request, they pulled up our reservationf and he was told everything was good and we were good to go. Last night after 7hrs on the road with my two little ones I arrive at the best western and I find no crib in the room. I call the reception and request it and she simply says "we dont have cribs" i say, "no cribs, like in the whole hotel or are they taken?" (I could understand if they were taken... it would be annoying, but just bad luck) she says "no, we dont have cribs at all". I get a bit upset, call the holiday inn next door, the guy -super nice- told me they had a crib available if i wanted it. And he puts a double room on hold for us. I went to the reception at the best western and talked to the 2 ladies working there, one leaves, wanting to do with it (the one who checked me in and answered the phone), the other simply said they couldnt do a refund because we used expedia for the reservation, "can you do something like i didnt check in, or cancel it somehow?" "No, because you booked through them" "can best western help me in any way?" "No because you used a third party, it is up to them to allow your refund". I just dont understand, if the hotel checks me in and doesnt say anything about a misundestanding or anything, why would expedia refund me my money they gave best western? Best western did not want me to have my money back, thats what i understood. I called 1800best western, and the lady said that she can see there, that this hotel has never had cribs. I ask her, why wasnt my husband told so when he called? She says "because he asked if the crib was requested and the answer was yes, he was making that request and that was fine", i say "does that make sense if you can pull the hotel up and see it doesnt have cribs? Our request would have never been fulfilled..." she says "well, it is different to ask if the hotel has cribs, that answer would be no". I am sorry, but this is insulting a customer, this is unacceptable, we are not idiots to just be ok with that answer. I told her that if they need to use formulas like that, i can get our lawyer to call best western. She answered that she would transfer me to a supervisor. This is sad, a customer having the threaten with lawyers for something as simple as them saying "yes it was a mistake, we will give you a refund". The supervisor opened a file with the incident and gave me the reference, we will need to call expedia and give them that file code to try and get our money back. This was just horrible, i hate getting angry like that with people, but their service to us was all around insulting. I picked all my stuff, my two kiddos and went to the holiday inn where they had given me a fantastic suite "for the same price, you had a bad enough day". Now, THAT is good customer service, they knew that at 7pm they wouldnt have anyone asking for a suite and they gave it to me just make my life easier. Thank you holiday inn, screw you forever Best Western, I will never stay at one of your hotels. For everybody traveling with babies, keep this in mind please, they wont tell you they dont have a crib for you. They will take your money, try to keep it, and wont care about your family.

"Second time around"
kburka, 26 Mars 2016

This was our second stay at this hotel, because we enjoyed it last year when we visited the Baseball Hall of Fame. Amenities are still nice...a breakfast bar with make-your-own waffles and hot entrees (real eggs and bacon) and an indoor pool. We specifically requested an upper floor quiet room, since we are light sleepers -- we got an upper floor room but next to the stairwell -- which turned out to be very noisy. We didn't want to have to move our children at 10:30 at night....so we lived with it. That would be our only complaint, although a big one.

"Weekend Trip"
alisontheresealison, 24 Mars 2016

I had never been to Cooperstown, so decided in the fall to take a road trip up to see the town and baseball hall of fame. The hotel appeared nice on the outside and the main lobby was well kept. We got put in the second building because they had no rooms available in the main building. The beds were comfortable, but the room was very outdated. They need to update the bathrooms and carpet. It was fine for a weekend trip, as we only slept and were out all day and night in the town. We ate at a wonderful Italian restaurant that was on the right hand side while going in to the town, but I can't remember the name! Food was excellent and it wasn't so crowded like the places in the town. I'd stay there again just for the price and location.

"Average Hotel Poor Internet"
barryid, 22 Mars 2016

Not only was the internet sevice poor, but the night auditor knew nothing.and was useless to help. Best Western? What you might expect from a nigh time employee in a small town. My experience suffered as a result.

"A great choice"
herewegoredsox, 21 Mars 2016

My husband and I travel to Cooperstown about once a year. We always stay in Cooperstown proper in one of the inns on or near Main St. However, in January we were just looking to get away for the night and decided to try this Best Western. We had never stayed at a Best Western anywhere before. The staff was incredibly welcoming and nice. Our room was clean and spacious and the mattress was comfortable. The walls are quite thin, but if you have decent neighbors that won't be problem! We were very pleasantly surprised by our stay here. It's a quick and easy drive into Cooperstown, but certainly not within walking distance. This Best Western is a great choice if you're traveling to Cooperstown (which you should be, Cooperstown is great!).

"Loved It"
Jeffrey C, 20 Mars 2016

We spent the day in Cooperstown at the hall of fame for a day trip and were about head back to RI. But this was the same day of the Boston bombing so we decided to play it safe and stay in town. So we went to this place and it was wonderful. Breakfast free and great, pool was nice, nice room. A pizza hut was in the same parking area so we got pizza there and brought it to our room. Baseball themed with decorations. Wonderful place to go if you are going to the Hall Of Fame

"Good place to stay!"
B6090RRwilliamt, 17 Mars 2016

The hotel was clean, attractive, at a very reasonable cost, and convenient to Cooperstown and its museums. The pool area was also clean and had a nice view of the nearby farmland, as did the breakfast room.

"Nice cooperstown crash spot"
lisacD3761QN, 15 Mars 2016

we stayed here while visiting Copperstown- Nice clean decent sized room. Breakfast included, nice value. Good location - close to many local attractions - do not skip Omagang Brewery Amazing mountain views - nice and quiet at night.

"Good Nights Sleep"
NEnglandTraveler, 24 Février 2016

The Best Western is about five miles from the village of Cooperstown and easy to find. Quick, friendly check-in; our room was was clean and comfortable. The bed was very soft and I slept well. Breakfast was simple and adequate with omelets and waffles available. This hotel is a good value and the staff were very hospitable. The only thing I would mention is the walls seem thin, I could hear our neighbors TV and I'm sure they could hear ours. When I am back in Cooperstown I will keep the BW in mind.

"Great Hotel!!"
Sharkyff651, 23 Février 2016

Great place to stay!! Great staff!! Had a small issue when checking in, staff addressed it right away. Very knowledgeable about area and where to go to get the perks of being here. Rooms are clean, spacious Wish they had a bar!!! That would have made the trip even better!!

"Baseball HOF Trip"
baseballfamilyof4, 17 Février 2016

Very Nice Best Western. Was a hotel with interior rooms. Had indoor pool ( water was cold though) and Jacuzzi. Breakfast in morning was good. Only open until 9:30am though so you can not sleep in too much. About 4 Miles from Baseball HOF and about 1 mile from Dreams Park.

"Fun Valentine's Night"
Brian D, 16 Février 2016

Arrived and promptly greeted for check in. Room was warm and cozy and easily accessible from parking. Sub-zero temps made it difficult to leave the room, amongst other reasons... Breakfast was decent and we ventured back into the frozen wastes of upstate NY

"pick a upstairs room"
Olga R, 16 Février 2016

Nice place, clean, well maintained, friendly staff. unfortunately could use better sound proofing.inconsiderate noisy family upstairs from our room who allowed there kid to run like a stampede all night. Selfish individuals, zero parenting skills

"Great beds. Great value. Minutes from Cooperstown."
John R, 15 Février 2016

A spotless motel with especially comfortable beds and free breakfast just an eight-minute drive from the heart of Cooperstown and its Baseball Hall of Fame, museums, and other attractions. And the price is right.

"Great breakfast "
travelwithme247, 03 Février 2016

We stayed here on our visit to the Hall of Fame. The clerk let us check in early and later they provided shower caps for us. Great service! They had baseball themed pictures in our room and we had a snowy great view. They also had a microwave and refrigerator. The shower was good and the breakfast was great!.... The downside is that the walls are a little thin so you can hear stuff going on outside while in your room. They also have humorous signs in the room. Only ten to fifteen minutes from the HOF so this was perfect for the winter. I'd stay here again.

"Great for overnight stay for Hall of Fame"
jbk52, 02 Février 2016

The Best Western is an excellent choice for an overnight trip to the Baseball Hall of Fame. It offers a spacious, clean room with fridge and micro. Very good breakfast buffet is included. Indoor pool and whirlpool and workout room a pleasant bonus.

"Family vacation"
Thomas M, 26 Janvier 2016

A quick get away for the family. Hotel had 2 buildings. Greeted by a large scaffolding set up. Apparently they have/had a water leak. Hotel was newer but not brand new. Staff was extremely friendly. Room was clean. Bathroom and the pool area were a little worn. Overall ok. Would stay here again.

"Very convenient location, comfortable stay"
Scrapbooker_in_PA, 18 Janvier 2016

We recently stayed on our way from Boston to Hamilton, NY. This was the perfect place. There is a small strip mall nearby with a McDonalds, a Subway and a Pizza Hut. The lobby is very welcoming and clean. Our room had 2 queen beds and was also very comfortable and clean. My daughter even commented on how nice the sheets smelled. Breakfast was also great. The room is the perfect size, great view and lots of choices. Staff working the breakfast area were also very nice and accommodating. Fitness center was adequate. We did not use the pool area, we did notice that it was under construction. Front desk staff were helpful and because I am a rewards member we were able to check out 1 hr. later. We would definitely stay here again if we are in the area and would highly recommend it.

"Comfortable stay"
Destin2930, 14 Janvier 2016

I stayed here for 2 nights because I work nearby and the snow was not going to make for an easy commute home. Check in was fast, staff was friendly, and the room was clean, spacious, and had a comfortable bed. The pool wasn't very deep, but nice for indoors (and a pretty decent size) and the hot tub was great after a 12.5 hour workday! I stayed in a room with a king sized bed so the other half of the room had a comfortable chair with an ottoman and side table. There's an in-room coffee maker, microwave, and fridge. It's located within walking distance to McDonalds, Pizza Hut, and a small strip mall type thing that has a liquor store, Chinese restaurant, Subway, grocery store, etc. The breakfast was pretty nice...selection of bagels, muffins, fruit, yogurt, waffles, juices, etc. Overall, I'd stay again..and most likely will before the end of the winter!

"Perfect for me"
Elizabeth M, 28 Décembre 2015

Went to meet up with a friend driving from Boston. This was a flawless stay, great location , nearby grocery store, coffee shop and just down the road from small local brewery, Council Rock also very close to Brewery Ommegang. Would very likely stay here again.

"One night at the Best Western"
RoastBeast, 08 Décembre 2015

This is a very nice Best Western. The lobby, rooms and breakfast area all very nice. The only negative is that this 10-15 minute drive to the Baseball Hall of Fame. The staff was nice and helpful. Nice visit here.

"Quiet and Relaxing"
Dawgs11, 06 Décembre 2015

Check in was pleasant and staff was friendly. The property is convenient to food and stores. Lots of parking, free internet and comfortable and good size rooms. The property was quiet and lobby was cozy with television and computer access. I would definitely recommend this hotel and will stay here again if in Cooperstown.

"Great hotel."
Cheryl H, 30 Novembre 2015

I went at a time of the year that wasn't as busy and the stay was more enjoyable (no crowds). Nice hotel, great breakfast and friendly staff. Surrounding area had many fun things to visit. Hotel convenient to restaurants and grocery stores.

"Close enough to the Hall of Fame"
TonyTTA, 27 Novembre 2015

Good location for visiting the attractions at Cooperstown without being in the middle of the main street. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Breakfast was really good with lots of choices. reasonable rates. It is close to stores and a few fast food places.

"OK, but"
Bill K, 27 Novembre 2015

We've been staying here for the past 3 years over Thanksgiving and really haven't had any issues. However, on this stay we went searching for a pair of earrings our granddaughter misplaced in the room. Because it was dark, I used a high intensity light I had with me. That was a mistake. The amount of dust and used tissues under around and behind the beds, was disgusting. Honestly, this could be the same at most low priced hotels, but it was unfortunate nonetheless. Next year we'll try someplace else.

"Great Place to Stay"
tredram, 23 Novembre 2015

We travel as a family quite a bit so we know what we like and makes us comfortable. Clean and friendly is the bottom line, and this accommodation fit the bill just right. The room was nice and clean, the pool was solid and the staff was very friendly and helpful as they dealt with multiple people at once. They even proactively offered tips, which was appreciated! The breakfast offered more options than expected and my kids enjoyed the waffles. Great view from the back porch as well! Recommended.

Awesome hotel in Cooperstown area. Very clean, inside pool was great. Breakfast was a good variety . It was close to a lot of stores, restaurants, and much much more. Would go back soon, maybe spend a few nights next time.

"Great Weekend."
kellyknapp3, 09 Novembre 2015

Clean rooms, comfy bed, lots of pillows - staff could have been more present, but overall perfect for couples and families alike. Quiet hotel even though lots of families. Recommend for an adult weekend away.

"Minimal to complain about--"
michaelchristinas, 06 Novembre 2015

Accommodations and staff were excellent---local Subway, Mcd's as well as a food store right across the street--Restaurants are a short drive. Breakfast seemed like they weren't totally prepared for large number of guests that showed up Sunday morning looking for the comp. meal. Excellent hotel overall though for the rate and 3 mile from the Hall. I'd go back

"the perfect place for the Baseball Hall of Fame"
Joseph P, 05 Novembre 2015

A very nice place. Clean, modern, great breakfast, clean and a great value. If you are planning a trip to the Baseball Hall of Fame this is the place to stay. It's a perfect location in a beautiful part of the country.

"Definitely a Plus"
Shawn R, 02 Novembre 2015

Looking for inexpensive, CLEAN hotel close to Baseball HOF. We found it !!! Staff was EXCELLENT. Room was SPOTLESS ! Breakfast was a bit congested downstairs, but I still appreciate the free morning breakfast. So no big deal. Waffles were GREAT and young lady keeping things filled was really on the ball. GREAT JOB by her.

"Good Value"
AR72LQ, 02 Novembre 2015

I just stayed here for the weekend with my wife and Father. We were in town to check out the baseball hall of fame. We had two rooms, both facing the hills in the main building, which made for great scenery. The rooms are clean and modern, not fancy but more then adequate. The hotel staff is very nice and the hotel itself is very quiet. I would stay here again, especially as it's a cheap hotel (around $120 a night). Some people complained about the breakfast, to be honest if you don't like the FREE food, go out for breakfast. The continental breakfast was better than what most hotels serve as a continental breakfast. Pool looked alright, didn't have a chance to check it out. WiFi worked great al throughout the hotel. All in all, great stay for the price. Don't expect the Ritz Carlton at Best Western Price and you'll enjoy your stay, like we did.

"Love this hotel"
E G, 02 Novembre 2015

We had spent the previous night in a Best Western Plus from hell, and we seriously thought about canceling our reservation at this one. But Cooperstown was booked, so we took our chances. Very glad we did. This is a gem of a hotel. It has been recently remodeled and the lobby and rooms have new furniture. Our room was very pretty and had a nice view. The bathroom was very spacious . The beds were great, the room quiet and I especially loved the reading lights positioned over the beds. Clean and good sized fridge and microwave were provided. . (We stayed in the main building due to trip advisor recommendations. I don't know anything about the condition of the annex). I recommend 2nd floor even numbered rooms. Wifi was very strong and easily held a connection. I thought the breakfast was excellent...the eggs tasted real, and the bacon, waffles and other items were of good quality. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The only negative about this hotel was the price. The high price was due to being fairly close to the Baseball Hall of Fame and to our staying during their busy season. Other hotel prices were comparable. Overall, a wonderful experience.

"First trip to Cooperstown"
evelynh334, 31 Octobre 2015

The staff was wonderful. Very knowledgeable when asked for directions, places of interest, restaurants, etc. We even got to watch a Patriots game in the lobby with friends and refreshments. That's saying a lot in NY Jets and Giants territory!

"Great stay! "
Kris W, 28 Octobre 2015

We are currently staying here and could not be happier. Our Jr. suite is the perfect size for our 4 night stay. The room is clean, comfortable & quiet plus a lovely view of the fall scenery. The breakfast has all the basics and the hot features are switched up daily which is a nice touch. My husband loved the blintzes today! The hotel is just minutes away from Cooperstown, the Baseball Hall of Fame plus Ommegang Brewery, Fly Creek Cider Mill and our new favorite Council Rock Brew Pub. Thanks for a great stay while we made some wonderful family memories!

The only complaint we had was breakfast offerings. Since we had been on a extended trip and had taken advantage of the complimentary breakfasts, we were getting tired of the offerings. My husband just couldn't take another cheesy omelet! I said I was going to be glad to get home for a bowl of Kashi.

"It was great!"
Hailey F, 21 Octobre 2015

Definetely recommend. I went here for the weekend with my boyfriend. We had a great time. Town closes early though except for a few small bars, and I wish the pool was open later (it's only open until 9:00). After the town quiets down it would've been nice to be able to swim after. Extremely clean though, I'm a germaphob so that was nice!

Review: Rated Excellent I was extremely satisfied with the Best Western Hotel in Cooperstown, New York. I stayed there for a friend's wedding and the staff was very professional and incredibly helpful. I recommend this hotel. The location is very accessible to what Cooperstown has to offer.

"Good Location"
Gail A, 19 Octobre 2015

A few minutes from Main St. in Cooperstown, road a little winding at night with no lights. You can't walk there. In a shopping center with Mc'Donalds, Subway, etc. Reasonably priced for Cooperstown. Had a great Sat. breakfast, Sun. was ok too. They constantly refill till 9:30. Need to look for a place to sit, may have to wait a little while. Lobby for watching tv, use computer or play games was nice. Lobby served free coffee and apples. Front desk staff very pleasant. Showers were good, not enough shampoo and even though I had asked the housekeeper for extra, there was none given. Bring your own. Pictures around the hotel really nice to look at.

"Not Bad"
Tek20, 18 Octobre 2015

This is probably the nicest mid-range hotel in the area. The property is clean and the staff is friendly. I stayed in a suite, but did not know that the suites are detached from the main building. Disappointing because a walk to the pool is cold when your in your bathing suit. I did not find the suite anything special. The room was awkwardly long with a bar dividing the bed from the living room. Stanrgely, the suites have no in-room safe. The regular rooms do have a in-room safe. The only problem I had with my stay is they sent me to the room with door keys that did not work 3 times. Otherwise, I recommend this property.

"Clean friendly visit"
j k, 15 Octobre 2015

The hotel is about 5 miles south of Cooperstown. It is clean and apparently newly refurbished. Our room was quiet. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The free breakfast was nicely done, with little cheese omelets and crisp bacon as well as fruit, yogurt, cereal, toast and other bread items. We were pleased and would return.

"Cooperstown Dreams park visit"
michelen25, 15 Octobre 2015

My son was playing baseball during the last week in August at the Cooperstown Dreams park this past August. My husband needed a place to stay outside of the barracks to sleep as parents are not allowed to sleep there unless they are a coach. We normally do not stay in Best Western's, however, this seemed the least expensive for the local options. It was average at best...the breakfast was packed and typical pre packaged items. It was not as clean as I would like, but did the job for the several nights he had to stay there.

"Good Experience"
lilia b, 13 Octobre 2015

I only spent one night at this hotel. I arrived a 7 pm and the check in was smooth with a professional front desk agent. The room was very clean and the bed super comfy. Breakfast was average, with the usual "continental" fare. I didn't try the pool and hot tub, but people seemed to be enjoying it. Location was excellent. A bit pricey but ok for the experience.

"Great Stay"
979jeannel, 11 Octobre 2015

Second time we've stayed in the suites at the Best Western Plus in Cooperstown. The rooms were clean, pleasant and quiet. We enjoyed the pool and whirlpool, as well as the generous breakfast with both hot and cold foods. We'd stay here again.

"good lodging close to Cooperstown"
Ykmb6778, 01 Octobre 2015

good luck trying to find rooms in the Cooperstown area . we were fortunate to get the last room at the Best Western just 7 miles outside of town. the rooms, including breakfast, were very nice and priced fairly. The staff was very friendly and helpful. when we arrived, they gave us suggestions for good local restaurants and were spot on. If you are not a B&B person, i would recommend this motel for a one or two night stay.

"Comfortable room, Clean proberty"
Bob P, 28 Septembre 2015

This was a clean, comfortable and very presentable property with nice ammenties. The staff was very pleasant, though some what lacking in knowledge of local business and services. The on line pictures and information were an accurate. The bed was very comfortable, and we would stay at this property again.

"good hotel"
P3903RJsharons, 27 Septembre 2015

We have stayed many times at this hotel and have never been disappointed. It is a nice location close to good place to eat and a great grocery store within walking distance. I would recommend this hotel if you are traveling to Copperstown.

"Best Western Plus in Cooperstown"
Linda/timothy C, 25 Septembre 2015

I think this hotel served its purpose, but was not nearly as nice as a Hampton Inn. Our room had past guests clothes still on the floor amoungst other things. You could hear a lot of what the neighbors were saying. The hot breakfast items were cold.

"Best Western Cooperstown gets a failing grade"
Michael S, 24 Septembre 2015

In town for a Father/Son Tournament. Great time on the ballfield and in the town. Decided to stay at Best Western instead of joining our group at Country Inn and Suites because I am a business/loyalty customer. What a mistake! The service was terrible at the counter, cleaning crew, etc. Stayed in the old section which smelled; mold on bathroom walls, cooling system not efficient (was humid and warm despite turning down temp) and not afforded even a discussion about late checkout because they were understaffed for cleaning crew. Guy at the desk was not professional whatsoever in discussion. Last time I stay at this Best Western and would not recommend to anyone traveling to Cooperstown. It sort of crushes a great family experience.
