« An excellent hotel in every way! »

Staff were very friendly and accommodating at this new-looking, upscale Best Western. The decor is spot on, upscale and contemporary. We appreciated our nicely appointed, clean and spacious room, a king suite. Our stay was quiet - we did hear our neighbour very slightly, but it wasn't a problem. We enjoyed the small pool - it was a perfect temperature, and was a nice depth, 4.5 ft. The 5/6 person hot tub was also great. The breakfast attendant helped make our stay as she was so friendly. We appreciated the real dishes in the breakfast room - no paper plates here, thank you. We noticed there's a lot of parking, and this hotel is located very near (i.e. very easy walking distance) to numerous restaurants, bars, and other shops, and just a couple blocks from the beach.

    « Very nice stay »

Clean and enjoyable stay , close to our work site Lots of near by restaurants. Pool and hot tub looked very relaxing. Only complaint would be more options for the breakfast. Would enjoy returning for a pleasure stay

    « Best Hotel »

Great location - close to everything - restaurants, grocery store and banks. Would recommend this hotel. Very clean. Amazing staff - so friendly! Would recommend. Check in and check out - were a breeze. Did not see area as I was there for work.

    « A birthday to remember »

Almost a year ago I hosted a surprise birthday celebration for my husband with family invited from Ontario, Jamaica, Latvia and I suggested the Best Western which everyone used (it was conveniently located with gorgeous room rental at the Dockside and evening first dinner planned at Brown's Social House). Hotel is clean and modern. Kitchen buffet is sufficient and plenty other choices in the area. Staff was friendly and accommodating with in-room gifts and cards to deliver before arrival. Everyone enjoyed their stay - we had 10 rooms booked

    « Hockey »

Thos is a very new place. Close to anything you need. Walking distance to and from the rink. Staff were awesome! The breakfast was good and quick. The rooms were very clean and put together. Parking with bigger trucks a bit of a hassle but in the back there was room. Rates where very reasonable. Will stay here again.

    « No sound proofing »

The hotel is clean and presentable but has a huge flaw in that there is absolutely zero sound proofing between rooms. I asked twice during my stays to be moved due to the noise from adjacent rooms and was accommodated, however a day later both times they put someone else in a room beside me. If this wasn't the only hotel in the area I would Gage definitely moved out because of the lack of sound proofing alone.

« Best Western Plus Chestermere Hotel »

This is a beautiful new hotel and we enjoyed our stay there! It is very close to amenities and close to Calgary and surrounding area. Breakfast had a nice selection of items to choose from. Very quiet.

    « One night stay »

This is a very clean, quiet hotel very close to the ice rink for those who have hockey kids. Breakfast is good, pool was great. Gym could of been bigger. But overall great stay! Restaurants close by in walking distance.

« Good Hotel and close to calgary »

The hotel was clean, quiet, and had a nice breakfast in the morning. The pool is also used by the Recreation department of Chestemere, so there were swimming lessons going on when we were trying to use it. A good option if you are staying in Calgary, but at a better price than Calgary hotels.

« Great Hotel with Excellent Amenities »

If staying in the area I would highly recommend using this hotel property as your stay. It is a newer hotel property with nice rooms and great amenities. The rooms are large and staff is friendly. The location is also walking distance to variety of food establishments and very close to shopping services.

« warm welcome in Chestermere »

A newer facility which offers all of the amenities for the traveler. Close to many restaurants and central to the central business district. Comfortable rooms - enjoyed a great sleep. An excellent hot breakfast was certainly a Plus as the name Best Western Plus conveys.

« Beautiful Hotel, Helpful staff »

This was our best Hotels.com rate traveling through the area, so made it our destination. Lovely, new hotel. Staff was great in that the booking site didn't specify pet-friendly, and the available rooms were taken. They made arrangements to accommodate us somehow anyhow, so that was really appreciated. Hotel room was very comfortable, and nicely appointed. Within walking distance to a few places to eat, as there was nothing inside the hotel. Breakfast complimentary. Had a great sleep!

    « Not so much »

We selected the hotel in order to visit friends in community. We found the parking quite icy - especially the handicapped stall which we needed to use. There was only one employee on at check so she wasn't able to help us. The next morning no sign of shovelling or ice removal - if not for help from an other Guest we couldn't have left - which we really wanted to do. At least clear the handicapped stalls.

    « Second Visit »

My grandsons encouraged me to stay at this hotel again because they loved staying with me here. They loved the pool and the hot tub, and just discovered the fitness room. They claim the beds and pillows are the most comfortable they have ever experienced. They are so delighted with the breakfast because they each found exactly what they wanted available.

    « Beautiful hotel »

This is a fairly new hotel so there's not really anything wrong with it. It was really nice to see a hotel room that was stuffed with furniture. It was roomy but still had everything that was needed. Everything was clean and fresh smelling and every hotel employee I spoke with from the cleaning staff to the front desk staff were very pleasant. The only complaint I have is the clearing of the parking lots around the building and roads because it's winter there was beeping coming from the machines all night. I do like to sleep with the window open a bit though so if you don't you probably wouldn't have heard it.

    1
    « Noisy! »

The hotel itself is clean and modern. I am rating this review one star because of the way my complaint was handled. The bar across the way is extremelt loud and the room next to us had a dog that barked all the time so we didn't get much sleep. We spoke to the lady at the desk who was friendly. Filled out the feedback form as she requested. No follow up from an email we sent.

« Quiet, new, clean rooms - A restful stay! »

We needed to stay in the Calgary area for a medical procedure and decided on the newer Best Western in Chestermere as it was close to our daughter's residence and accepted pets. We rented a King Suite and found it to be very clean with the most comfortable bed and quite spacious with a pull-out sofa, a desk and a couple of chairs to relax and watch T.V. We also took advantage of the pool and hot tub and loved the complimentary self serve hot breakfast. Another plus was the close proximity to restaurants and shops in Chestermere, all within walking distance. Best sleep I have ever had in a hotel.

    « Lovely, clean, friendly »

The front desk staff offered good suggestions for meal options in the area. They made sure we were comfortable, had everything we needed, were friendly. The room and building are clean and well lit, ample parking, good breakfast, and much-appreciated pool and hot tub!

    « a very pleasant stay. »

We had never travelled in the area of Chestermere ,Alberta so had no idea what to expect. We were delighted with the Best Western Plus Hotel in Chestermere. We were attending a wedding and the hotel was very convenient. We would highly recommend it to anyone! There were shops and restaurants located near by. The hotel was a very good place to stay.

« An excellent example of Best Western's rebrand »

Best Western has been aggressively seeking to rebrand and standardize all new hotel developments in the chain. The Best Western Chestermere is an outstanding example of Best Western "getting it right." I telephoned the hotel directly to make a reservation and the associate was helpful, prompt, and offered accurate directions to the hotel. I arrived quite late at the hotel and parking was ample. Check-in was efficient and within minutes I was in my room. The room was immaculate and large. The amenities were very well thought through; electrical outlets were accessible and all the furniture and fixtures were of good quality. The decor was modern and subtle. Lighting was excellent. The cleanliness was of a superior standard. Towels and bedding were good quality. The climate control was simple and worked well. My only complaint, and it is quite minor, is that as a single queen room, I didn't like the positioning of the bed against the wall parallel to the window (aka when in the bed you would be facing the exterior wall with the window instead of having the television directly in front of you. It's just a minor mannerism of mine not in any way an issue I'd dock the hotel for doing. As I was in the area on business the wifi was fast and free and the workspace functional. I was so pleased with the facilities that I extended my stay by an additional night rather than re-locate a bit closer to where I had to be the day after. I only had the complimentary breakfast on my last day and it was excellent in the variety and options. Only minor item was the eggs were prepared as if you were served eggs on an airliner and the cheese in them was clearly processed. Everything else though was great and in fact superior to a $30.00 in-room breakfast I had a few days later the Calgary Marriott Downtown that was cold and served in to-go containers. Very pleased with my stay and wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone. Best Western is sure changing it's game; until now, I would've never customarily selected a Best Western as a place to stay. Well done.

« Maybe ... we have a home ... last stay.... happy and sad »

Our hotel hopping started in September, but now we are planning to get our Trailer and Motorhome from Arr Kann just down the highway from Chestermere Best Western. That is why we choose to stay here, we had just spent 4 nights in Drayton Valley Best Western, we did learn that booking ahead allows for getting your choice of Best Western hotel room. We still have to make a trip back to Calgary for moving!

« Great location and well managed »

Had a great couple of nights here recently for a family event. Great location in Chestermere, close to the lake and local amenities. Would have been excellent all around but bed was a bit soft for my liking. Breakfast was included and it was delicious and catered to all sorts of appetites.

    5
    « Restful stay »

I/we have stayed at the Chestermere Best Western Plus hotel a number of times. The rooms are always clean and the bed is very comfortable. They provide a great buffet breakfast. This time they had small cheese omelets that were very delicious. This is our go too place to stay when on the east end of Calgary.

    4
« Clean and Close to Everything! »

This was a great place to stay and for a great price! The room was very clean, the breakfast was amazing with lots to offer! It's close to lots of restaurants and not far from Calgary. My only complaint would be that the walls are paper thin. The people next door had an alarm go off that woke us up very early and then we could hear their whole conversation and bathroom use...

    5
« Superb location and beautifully appointed! »

Located within walking distance of shopping, a lake and great restaurants! Great staff, always helpful especially Natalie the General Manager. King room was well decorated. Lots of little extras. Would definitely go back!

« best best beds all around! »

you cannot beat the beds of this hotel! beautiful hotel keeps reassuring me to stick with Best Westerns all around the country! from staff to the breakfast menu, everything is rate at 10 for me! always love my stays herein Chestermere. Youwont be disapointed .

    3
    « Bring earplugs »

The appearance of the hotel inside and out is very nice. Rooms are clean and big enough. The one big issue is the lack of sound proofing between room and the hallway. You could here every word the people in the adjoining rooms were saying, almost like they were in your room. I highly recommend if you plan on staying here, bring earplugs.

    4
« Comfortable for a night or two. »

As previous reviewers have mentioned the walls are thin. After our flight from Australia though this hotel was more than adequate. Free breakfast in the morning hit the spot. We found a really nice place for dinner back over the bridge which was lovely.

    4
    « Comfortable Stay »

The Best Western is located amid shopping and restaurants. Rooms are clean and comfortably. Check in was seamless and friendly. The lobby is nicely appointed; there is a pool, spa and fitness facility. We recommend this hotel.

    « GREAT »

You would have to look for a better Hotel, and I have Hotel experience. Best Western Plus in Chestermere, is good. Quaint, off the grid so to speak, great staff, rooms to die for, and superior staff. The breakfast they provide every morning is nothing that I have ever seen before, and would book a room just for that.

    3
    « Good Location »

Walking distant to all amenities and the lake fronts. Have a nice stroll along the lake. New hotel but yes you do can hear your next door voices. But do have comfortable beds. Breakfast was excellent. Also it is close to Calgary and not far from Banff. We visited family in Calgary and went to Banff.

    5
    « Convenience »

This is a great hotel in Chestermere, Calgary .Service is great and a good breakfast.Shops and restaurants convienently close by. Rooms clean. All day coffee available.Staff most helpful and friendly. Pool and hot tub convenient.

    4
    « Place to rest »

Good place to stay. The building is fairly new, very clean, nice staff and very reasonably priced. I stay here whenever I am here on business, and find it is very comfortable place to stay. The continental breakfast included with the room is quite good.

    4
    « Chestermere convenient & comfy »

Great travel access with lots of nearby food & shopping in a new development area. Hotel is like new, very clean throughout. The pool and full breakfast are an added plus. This is what you'd expect from BW standards and what this location delivers.

    4
« Great place at a good price »

Enjoyed this very new hotel. Great amenities. The room was clean and bed comfortable. Enjoyed the variety of foods offered at the breakfast bar. Great location to stay if you want to avoid the busyness of Calgary.

    5
    « A nice place to stay! »

A quiet and convenient location. This hotel is clean and comfortable. The check in and payment were fast and simple. I will definitely choose to stay here again. After a long road trip, it was a pleasure.

    « Chestemere Best Western »

Beds comfortable, reasonably priced, good room size, clean., great breakfast and modern facility An overall great experience but the walls could have been more sound proofed. Could hear the couple next door talking.

    5
    « Incredible hotel »

Beautiful hotel, only wish we could have stayed longer. The room was immaculate, the pool and hot tube was very enjoyable and the breakfast was exceptional. Will definitely stay at this hotel the next time we go through Calgary.

    5
    « Grandkids mini vacation »

My grandkids and myself love this hotel. The staff, rooms, pool and breakfast in the morning is perfect for a little mini-vacation with the kids. The hotel is close to Calgary , so we went to Calaway Park and the next day spent the day at the beautiful beach in Chestemere. The rates are so reasonable and after you stay with Best Western you receive points to eventually get a free stay. Which we used. Thanks once again for a great grandma -grandkid weekend. We will be back next year!!!

    « Breakfast with Bacon »

Nice and clean hotel, great location, friendly staff. Thank you for the upgrade and extra points! Superb breakfast with bacon and eggs! Also whipped cream for the coffee and waffles.... WOW! Cannot say anything bad about this place! We will be back!

    4
    « Nice new hotel »

This is a new hotel. The rooms are large. We had a sleeping area and a sitting area. It was quiet and the staff were very nice. The breakfast was very good, as well. We would stay again if in this area.

    5
    « Great value »

Senior rate is unbeatable. Room was nice, Fridge with freezer is a nice bonus, as we had ice packs to keep frozen. breakfast good. Express checkout was handy. A little out of the way, but worth the trip.

« Found by Accident and Now Will Always Stay Here »

We were traveling the number one highway across Canada and needed to find a room for the night just in Alberta. We found this hotel by fluke and were so impressed! The beds were so comfortable, the staff was so nice and helpful and the complimentary breakfast was delicious!

    4
« Nice place to stay »

This hotel has clean rooms and excellent customer service. The breakfast was very good and had gluten free bread, although there should be a toaster for GF bread. We would definitely stay here again, as it is close to amenities and the view of the lake.

    5
    « Awesome Hotel. »

The staff and management are the best. Always friendly and accommodating. Super clean and close to all amenities. Beds are great and the hotel always has a great hot breakfast. One of ten best hotels in the Calgary area.

    2
« Disappointment to the chain »

The room seems good at first, until you realize that you can hear the whole one-sided conversion of the guy next door to you in full audio. Even the tv is not good enough to drown it out until you increase it to concert level. If you go into the bathroom, you notice it has issues in height: the counter is normal sized, but the tub doesn't even reach my knee and the towels are hung as high as my head. It's enough of a height difference between the two to give you a complex. Walk from the towel rack to the tub and you feel like Alice in Wonderland. Went to the gym, and to be honest I am a Reluctant Runner. I need to watch the tv to ignore the fact my legs are burning. This gym is only for hardcores; the tv is tiny and on the far corner, but it doesn't matter anyway because the sun was blinding everything. The external door was in front of the gym windows, and the opaque aspect of the window door only compounded the effect so it was like a white flare into your eyes while you try to run. There were no blinds to help block it out, so I gave up and went back to my room. The tv channels aren't spectacular, but that's why I bring my laptop to enjoy Netflix. I was happily watching a show despite the slow internet connection until my internet stopped and an error message popped up: "Maximum number of devices reached for this transaction. Please contact the front desk to obtain an authorization code". I only have my phone and my computer on the internet, so not like I have many devices, but then the code isn't mine alone. I go to the front desk and tell her the issue, and she is very abrupt and only responds with the password. I tell her that I was using that password, but it kicked me out. She again responded with the password. How helpful. I go back to my room and inputted the password, got the same error message, and simply refreshed until it let me in. tl;dr version - The walls are so thin you can hear everything, the tub is a disappointment, gym as well, and the internet is crappy even when it does work. I'm usually content with Best Western, but this one definitely makes me wonder about its 'plus' status.

    5
    « Luxurious Stay »

Prompt service, as well as a clean room made my stay wonderful. Lovely wide selection of food in the morning, and quick internet. If I needed to stay in another hotel, I won't think twice about choosing a Best Western. Wonder experience and comfort, therefore I will continue to take my business there.

    5
« Time at the hotel »

We stayed in the hotel for 3 nights and found the whole trip a great experience. The bed and pillows were just the right feel. We had a bit of trouble with the t.v. My husband did not get it to work at first. The staff were all vary friendly and tried to be a accommodating with all your wishes.

    1
« Paper thin walls :( Noisy Hotel »

Had a terrible nights sleep as the walls are paper thin. TV, slamming doors and even hearing the neighbors alarm go off UGH!! If you are ok with noise then maybe, but I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

    « Pick this one »

Came out here for a wedding. Nice new hotel. Very comfy beds and nice sized rooms. Small pool but nice hot tub. The included breakfast has a goos variety, something for everyone. The location is fabulous. Walking distance to most conveniences and the lake front. This is where we would stay again. Highly recomended.

    5
« Great Hotel for families »

We are a family of six and we loved being together in one room. The hotel was very clean and modern and our kids loved the pool and breakfast in the morning. This is our second time staying at a Best Western Plus hotel and it will probably be our go to from now on.

    5
« Comfortable stay at a great price »

This is our second stay at the best western chestermere and we will be back. The hotel is clean, rooms are confortable and the staff is helpful. With breakfast included it makes for a great deal - fantastic price for everything that you get.

    « Great stopping place. »

Just outside of calgary, excellent location if you are travelling through. Great new hotel close to lots of shopping restaurants etc. Pet friendly too. Definitely on my places to return list when I am travelling through.

    5
« Wonderful Stay With My Grandsons »

My Grandsons raved about the comfortable pillow and beds. They were prepared for a light continental breakfast, but were "blown away" by the fabulous, delicious variety. They want Grandma to bring them here again soon.

    5
« Best Western Chestermere is the Best hotel »

Very clean and modern hotel with friendly staff and pet friendly accommodations. Rooms were very spacious and clean. Would definitely stay here again with or without the dog. Walking distance to restaurants and shopping.

    5
    « EXCELLENT HANDICAPPED AND PET-FRIENDLY ROOM »

We stayed in the handicapped suite, Yes!! King bed suite with a roll-in shower and overall the facilities were very accessible. In the past year we have stayed in about 20 Best Western hotels and this is the first hotel that had a suite. Our only concern was the floor drain in the bathroom. The drain was in the center of the floor and this made it very slippery when exiting the bathroom. I would caution guests to "mop" the floor to avoid a serious fall. Also, there is not a microwave oven in this room. This was not a concern for us this trip so we did not call to see if one was available. The staff were friendly and our dog appreciated her "letter" explaining her rules to her and the attached treat. We will definitely be back to Best Western Chestermere our next time we have to go to Calgary.

    4
« Great Location and Service »

Very comfortable and spacious room. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Morning breakfast was such a delight! So many delicious items - hot and cold - to choose from. Can't remember ever having a free breakfast using real china plates, cups and silverware! Lots of dining area and the breakfast staff were so friendly and helpful. I would not hesitate to stay again! It was a beautiful area.

    5
    « Wonderful stay! »

We had 2 rooms and were very pleased with all the accommodations and very friendly staff. It's been a long time since I've experienced a free breakfast using china plates, cups and silverware! There were many delicious breakfast items to choose from. Eating space was adequate and tables were always kept clean by the attentive staff. It was nice to have two sinks in the bathroom area.

    5
« Nice hotel - friendly service, welcoming to pet »

We stayed here one night with our daughter and her dog. When we arrived, they gave her a little welcoming letter with a baggie and a dog treat--much nicer than the previous hotel which gave us a list of rules for the dog to follow with threats of being kicked out! The room was spacious and clean. The free breakfast was more than adequate: scrambled eggs, bacon, hash browns, yogurts, cereal, etc. When someone came in to the suite above us, it sounded like they were wearing marching boots! It was quite noisy but they did not keep us awake. We enjoyed our stay.

« Left hotel more tired »

StAyed here early June, like the other reviews rooms are very clean, stayed top floor didn't know there was a highway construction crew right across they had 2 rooms all that was heard during the night is the doors slamming as they were back and forth between the rooms and would go to the stairwell well every 10-20 minutes for a smoke the doors are very heavy and close louldly we complained at 1130 pm and were told there was not much she could do as this went on till 230 am at this point we had our room changed in the am spoke to the mgr and she said there is no law from opening closing the doors ? I agreed but every 10 minutes, she offered a discount of ten dollars I told her don't insult me I know now that the rooms across me was booked for several days and 2 rooms at that, so my one night rental was not going to have any meaning , and Natalie you don't have to answer this I know and you know how I felt when I left you did nothing to make this stay enjoyable.

    1
    « noisy rooms »

the walls between the rooms were very thin. I could hear every conversation. will NEVER stay there again. The dining room was too small. Counted about six tables for all guest. Rooms are clean. Breakfast was boring. The same every morning.

    4
« Great location and hotel »

Great location near the lake. Wonderful atmosphere with breakfast included. check in staff were fantastic, less so with the am check out staff. Overall, a wonderful hotel to stay at if you are looking for peace and quiet.

    « very nice hotel »

The stuff was very friendly and helpful, hotel was super clean and in excellent condition. Our kids loved to swim in saltwater swimming pool. And the breakfast was a nice bonus, they had a lots of selections of food and delicious. We loved our stay and we would go there again.

    4
« Very nice and clean hotel »

The hotel is very nice and clean, the front desk staff are friendly and helpful. The free breakfast is good and has a pretty good selection of foods. The pool is quite small but in good condition from what we could see, we did not use it. The rooms are very clean and the showers have good pressure, the beds are very comfortable also. The only complaint we have is check-in time is 3pm, we arrived at 4pm and was told there were no rooms ready for us. It was 4:45pm before we were able to get into a room and there were other guests who had to wait for rooms also.

    5
« Beautiful, modern and very clean! »

We stayed in this hotel July 2017 for two consecutive nights in a room with one king bed and a sofa bed. The room was beautiful, modern and very clean. The king bed was extremely comfortable and my teenage son didn't complain at all about the sofa bed. The breakfast offered just about any breakfast item you could imagine and was well stocked. Couldn't find the hair dryer and went out to buy one. Found it after, underneath the sink and pushed back a little!

Great place, it feels like a new building, the size of the rooms is great for big families, really close to Calgary, didn't get to use the pool but it looked nice, staff very welcoming with your pets, breakfast was good but kind of slow, it felt like they are not ready for rush hours and food is not ready on time, there were families waiting in the lobby for food to come out and staff never let them know so they went back to the room.

« Excellent place to stay. »

This is our favorite Best Western Hotel. We love staying here. The staff are all so friendly and the location is great. The rooms are really nice and everything is so clean. They even had almond milk for our cereal!

« Great hotel with a great location »

Great sized rooms. Perfect location for shopping as well as restaurants. Friendly staff too. Only a short 10 minute drive to Calgary. You can walk to the lake as well. Breakfast had lots of variety. Definetly staying here again!

    « Best Western Chestermere »

This is a great, new hotel in Chestermere,Alberta. The hotel is dog friendly -something I really appreciate. The breakfast is the basic style of breakfast available at most Best Western. This is a good place to stay when you're in the area.

    « Nice Hotel »

Very nice hotel. Great, friendly staff. Internet was a bit slow in the evening. Walls were a little thin - we could hear the conversations of the guests next door. I'm supposed to write up to 200 words but I pretty much said all that I needed to in the previous four sentences.

    « Paper thin walls »

Had an obnoxious person in the next room who at 2:30am decided to start yelling that he wasn't a robot. Phone in room didn't work so I couldn't call down to have them shut him up. also the breakfast are is small so if you want a place to sit get there early or have to eat in lobby or back to your room.

« Review Of Best Western Chestermere »

The hotel room was very nice, and the price was very affordable. There were a lot of hot food choices for the breakfast. Overall, the hotel is very clean and modern, and is close to Calgary as an alternative.

    « Cross country trip »

Only stayed one night as we were on a cross country trip going east. The hotel is fairly new, well located and the staff were very good as we were travelling with a dog. Great help with anything we needed. Would definitely stay there again.

    « Excellent Stay »

I didn't realize that the room originally given to me did not come with a tub, but the staff found me another room that had one. My apt does not have a tub, and taking a relaxing bath is one of the highlights of my hotel stays.

    « Pet friendly hotel »

This is s great hotel. Very clean and the staff are very friendly and helpful. We had two cats with us on this trip. Not all Best Western hotels accept cats. We arrived at the hotel much later than anticipated.....4:00 AM. The front desk attendant offered us a late check out time, which was very much appreciated. We had a great experience and would definitely stay again and refer others also. Thanks so much.

« Great place with great value »

Chestermere is just outside of Calgary and has plenty of amenities near by. The area looked like it was still developing so the location will only get better - it would not be convenient for guests wanting the action of downtown, but for a very nice relaxing stay with a wonderful breakfast with a more affordable price!

« A very good hotel for short stayovers »

Check in was fast and hotel was easy to locate. Rooms were spacious and so was the washroom. Breakfast was good too. Few restaurants were around the area as well as banks. Shoppers drug mart was a stone's throw away and useful. Hotel did not have drinking water so got aquafina from the mart. Also it was open till 12 am. Hotels breakfast was very good and had all the necessities. The pool was ok. Receptionist was courteous and helpful. Rooms were comfortable. Overall had a very good stay.

« One night stay before flying out »

My husband and I stayed here before flying out the next morning. It looks really nice and has very informative staff. Unfortunately, once we got to the room we were unimpressed. The room layout was off (tv was beside the bed, not in front) and the walls were paper thin. When you can hear the people in the next room easily when they are talking at a normal decibel, it's not good. It is close to a lot of restaurants within walking distance which is nice. Checkout was quick and easy with decent breakfast before we left.

Modern building, furnishings, and great amenities. The staff was courteous and professional. I needed extra help from staff upon arrival, and was quickly accommodated, and with smiles! The morning breakfast was tasty. We had a great stay!

    « Highly Recommeneded Hotel! »

I'm definitely coming back always, when I visit my daughter in Chestermere. This hotel is the nicest BW I've ever stayed in. I once worked at BW In Calgary many years ago, and that is where I began getting my reward points, by signing up! Chestermere Hotel is a guaranteed excellent stay!! The pool is clean and the rooms are spotless!

    « Well beyond expectations »

Excellent. A truly refreshing experience. I was delighted to have real dishes at breakfast and above-average selection. The room was, of course, clean and well-designed; the building was quiet and inviting, and the staff were welcoming.

Staff very informative and very clean hotel. The woman at the front informed me of the best western promotion for spring when using a points card. Generally happy atmosphere. Room very tidy and clean, free wifi and breakfast, overall a great experience.

Really enjoyed my stay at the Chestermere Best Western Plus, it is a clean and well presented facility the pool is great. It is located across the road from several restaurants banks and a Safeway which is handy. The staff are very friendly and made my stay very enjoyable.

« Friendly, welcoming staff, greal location, excellent stay »

This is a new hotel in Chestermere, just a few km East of Calgary. A perfect location in a small city. The staff were all friendly and helpful, very willing to provide directions and information about anything I asked. This should go without saying, but is increasingly rare in many hotels. The room was very clean, everything new. Windows that can be opened.....this is always a selling point for me, and not always available. Also, I LOVED that this is a non-smoking building...that is so much better than a non-smoking room in a building that allows smoking. There is a pool and fitness centre here as well, but I didn't use either, even though they both looked great. Breakfast was provided each morning, including hot items (bacon, eggs, waffles), with a lovely staff who again was very willing to help with anything you might need. Breakfast was available until 10 am, which was very nice, as in many hotels it is only until 8:30 or 9:00 am. Overall a lovely facility, where I will stay again when I have the opportunity.

    5
    « Chestermere Value »

The room size, cleanliness, staff and full hot breakfast was outstanding! The pool is being used used for local swimming lessons and is challenging at times. We would definitely stay again at this hotel.

surprised that there was no fan in the bathroom. would love to see all hotels (with pools) to add a drying rod or line over the tub for wet swimsuits. pool and hot tub temperature were perfect. breakfast was excellent. staff were very attentive and polite.

Service and appearance of Hotel was very good The desk clerk was very considerate and went out of his way to get me the necessary for my late check in. The room was clean and fresh and quiet. Variety of breakfast was outstanding.

    « Handy location »

Handy to the Trans-Canada highway and bypasd around Calgary. Very scenic community by the lake. Good shopping and eating opportunies right next door. It was nice the way the hotel blended with the style of the surrounding neighbourhood.

    « Nice »

Apparently the walls are pretty thin. I parked my truck in the back and someone else parked their truck in the back running and was sleeping in it. For some reason the the hotel was relentless about calling me and waking me up at 1:30 in the morning rather than going outside to the truck and knocking on the door. Breakfast was the typical hotel breakfast so no complaints there. All in all I think it's a nice place but then again it is new. Other than the call at 1:30 am, the staff was awesome and really good to deal with.

    « Trip to Calgary »

We stayed at the Chestermere location, as it is close to the NE and SE corners of Calgary. The purpose of or trip was personal and also to see family, both of which were on the east side of Calgary. The hotel was very clean, comfortable and affordable. The pool and area was the cleanest I had ever seen. Staff were professional and made us feel at home.

« walls are paper thin »

beautiful brand new hotel; really nice lobby, decor; breakfast was great; biggest issue is the walls are paper thin - very noisy - difficult to sleep at night as you can literally hear your neighbours next door and all the hallway noise as well

    4
« Friendly, efficient staff, very clean, comfortable, and quiet »

The exterior of the hotel is very inviting, and upscale looking. The lobby is well appointed, with the check-in desk front and center. The front counter staff were extremely friendly, helpful, and efficient. The room was very clean, with extremely comfortable beds, although the furniture was just average in quality. The complimentary hot breakfast was well stocked, with a good selection of both hot and cold items. The breakfast area was well maintained and re-stocked by very friendly staff as well. The pool area was a nice amenity as well. Reasonably priced, very good value!

First time at this property. It has only been open 7 months. 80 rooms. Clean Great friendly front desk staff. Only disappointment....... The walls are too thin......could hear the person in the next room. The closet door is way too heavy for most people to slide open.

« MIDNIGHT PARTY AT THE LOBBY. HAD TO CALL THE RCMP. »

    1) First I will mention facts, then I will state my opinion: --> I stayed at this hotel from October 21-23, 2016 at a room on the 2nd floor. --> on the night of the October 22 I was awaken at 11:30pm by very loud talking (almost yelling) and loud laughing outside of my room. --> at 00:30am I called the reception because the noise hasn't ended and "Richard" (that's the name I was given) answered the phone. --> I asked him to end the noise because my wife and I could not sleep and he said he would work on it. --> at 1am the noise hasn't ended so I called reception again, TWICE, but the phone call was never answered. --> I went downstairs because the noise hasn't ended and spoke to "Richard". I told him he had to do something about the noise and he said "well, they are at the lobby"; I said to him "you are allowing this to go on" and he said "that's your opinion"; I told him I was going to call the police. --> I went upstairs, called the RCMP and said to the dispatcher "please, send someone here to help me... I need to sleep and I cannot because of the noise." --> I recorded a short video of the "party at the lobby" on my cell phone to show the RCMP officer what type of "party" was happening at the lobby so that I would not find myself in a "he said, he said" scenario. --> at around 1:30am the noise ended and I received a call from RCMP Constable Ait saying he stopped by at the hotel and spoke to the group who was being noisy. --> the last time I checked on my phone it was 4:45am and I (obviously) had not fallen asleep yet. 2) my opinion: It does not matter how brand new a hotel is if I cannot SLEEP because PARTIES and NOISE are allowed in the lobby. If I wanted to have poor sleep quality I would have paid $50 at some trashy motor inn and dealt with the idea of "you get what you pay for". I have stayed at several Best Western hotels in the US and this kind of thing has NEVER happened to me. I have NEVER heard of such thing happening at ANY Best Western hotel. I went to Winnipeg on a business trip in September, stayed at the Chateau Lacombe and during one of my nights there were people with their room doors open talking loudly to each other across the hall. I called reception and complained about the noise; in less than 10 minutes there was a hotel associate at my door asking what the problem was; I pointed to him where the noise was coming from and he resolved the issue. I never had to ask again. Best Western has surprised me NEGATIVELY this time. I never thought this type of behaviour would be displayed by Best Western staff. Allowing the noise to go on for over 1 hr, telling me "that's your opinion" when I stated that staff was allowing the noise to go on and forcing me to call the POLICE so I can sleep have really done it for me. I am absolutely DISGUSTED with this hotel and have already written a letter to Best Western's CEO (David [--]). Let's see how it goes. I'll keep this review updated.

We were told that this hotel had only been open for about 4 1/2 months when we stayed there so everything was nice, new and clean. They offered the usual free continental breakfast in the morning. The don't have a restaurant but were close to a couple of places where a person could eat.

« Great Place to spend a night. »

Very reasonably priced, very clean, good , hot breakfast included. New hotel opened only a few months ago . About 20 miles east of Calgary so excellent if you want to stay outside of the city. A mall right across the street with a few restaurants to choose from , also a grocery store.

« Great new hotel close to Calgary »

This is a very nice hotel just east of Calgary, easy access to the east side of Calgary without having to be in the city. Lots of eating establishments within walking distance, great walking paths near the lake.

« Very comfortable and new hotel »

A little bit out of the way but close enough to Calgary to be an easy drive into the city. Nicely situated near the highway and behind a mall with lots of food options for dinner. Brand new hotel. Beds were very comfortable and the internet worked perfectly. Good breakfast selection in the morning. Room had modern décor and was spacious (we had a king bed room) and it was very quiet although the construction next door started up at 8 am, we were already up and after the initial start up noise, we actually didn't notice a lot of noise after that. All in all, a very good hotel.

    « Nice new place »

Stayed here for 2 night as my sister and husband live across the lake. She was the one that recommended this place. Nice place and we would stay here again if needed. We had a very pleasant stay. Rooms were very clean and the front desk was very helpful and friendly.

    5
    « Great location »

Stayed here 2 nights for the car show, second night was free as Best Western was kind enough to provide a gift certificate as one of the prizes for the car show. Thank you very much. Very clean and comfortable place, ample parking, pool, fitness facility and good free breakfast. This is the only franchised hotel (and I think the only hotel in Chestermere). Keep up the good work!

« New Hotel with average service »

The hotel is brand new and that is probably the reason why it looks great. The housekeeping was poor - we found food and drinks in our fridge from the previous guest. After we complained it was cleaned up immediately. The breakfast is average at most. The noise level is very high, so earplugs are recommended!

    3
« Great looking hotel, not a great stay »

This hotel is beautiful and new, great location in Chestermere, but the breakfast area is way too small so you have difficulty getting a place to sit so you can actually eat breakfast. The beds are comfy and rooms look great but there is so much noise from adjoining rooms it can be difficult to sleep. (I could hear the guy next to us snoring!) The pool is also very small.

    4
    « Nice hotel »

Pleased with the hotel. Only two issues popped up. I am a best western diamond member and we called a couple of hours before we arrived to see if we could get an upgrade and we were told that we were already upgraded, so when we showed up we were told that there were no upgrades available. The only other issue were the lack of a microwave and a luggage rack in the room. On the positives we found the bed very comfortable and the hotel was very nice and clean. The staff were very helpful. I will definitely be staying here again.

    5
    « Best Western Chestermere »

Everything was great except the bed was not comfortable. Also my understanding of a suite & this location's understanding was not the same. We had a "suite" @ 2 other Best Westerns that had another room. It gave us the privacy we needed on this trip. I nmy opinion this was not a real suite.

« New and Very Comfortable »

This hotel still has the new smell. Very clean and comfortable. My wife had her best nights sleep of our 17 day trip at this hotel. Breakfast was the usual quality (not restaurant quality) for this level of hotel and had a good selection. The price was fair with CAA and being a Best Western Ride Rewards member. Easy to find location In Chestermere and close to Boston Pizza restaurant and some take-out food establishments.

    « Beautiful »

Very clean and pleasant hotel. Being a new hotel the quality of Best Western really shows well. Very comfortable beds. The pool and hotel super clean and enjoyable. A good selection of breakfast items and they were replenished speedily. My husband really enjoyed the waffles with the Best Western logo...a very nice touch. The staff were super friendly offering advice on local amenities and activities

    5
    « Lovely new hotel »

The room and hotel was beautiful--very spacious with comfortable bed, plush bedding and towels. Would have preferred a door or curtain on shower, but it all looked very modern and upscale. Some minor irritations: ice machine didn't work on our (3rd) floor for our entire stay (3 nights)--had to go all the way to lobby, trash wasn't emptied at entrance for the 1st 2 days and was overflowing, floor in lobby and elevator got a little muddy from someone tracking in and wasn't cleaned up for the last 2 days of our stay. These things would seem to be easy to fix, but they tarnished an otherwise outstanding impression of the place.

    5
« Nicest Best Western We Have Ever Stayed At »

This hotel has only been open for three months. It is in a newer area that is being built up. Truly worth the drive out to the suburbs when visiting Calgary. We like the hotel so much we pondered staying an additional night even though we were just driving through. Highly recommended!

    « Just on a getaway »

My husband and I chose this hotel because it's close to Calgary. The room was beautiful with a king size bed and a couch that pulled out into a double bed. There is a fridge and microwave in the room. Complimentary hot breakfast was offered but we didn't utilize it. Lots of shops and restaurants within walking distance, we chose to eat at Mary Browns. All and all not a bad place to stay.

After searching the internet and not finding a hotel for July 30 y 31 Best Western found this Chestermere BW for a reasonable price. A little far from restaurants but a very good facility at a reasonable price. Would have been a good idea to find information relating to the area and ways and means of transportation, distances , etc Its always nice to find hotels away from the hustle and bustle of busy downtown areas yet its nice to have access to the attractions of the area and find directions and routes to get there.

She explained that it is a security fee.I asked what in the world do the people who stay at Best Western Plus do to the rooms that would cause them to have to put $200 CAD on our bill? She said that it was policy to delete the charge after the stay.It took 4 days before it was deleted off of our MasterCard.Be warned.

We had family meet here (4 rooms) for our daughter's graduation from University of Calgary. Hotel is fairly new and very clean, staff were very welcoming and accommodating - rooms all close to each other, let us use the breakfast area for our family pizza dinner and post graduation cake (we brought our own paper plates and utensils). Great location, everything you need close by, would highly recommend this location. We will stay here again. I am a BW Diamond member so I stay in many Best Westerns and this is one of the nicest I have stayed in.

Close enough to Calgary to be a good option. Great location by stores and restaurants. Brand new hotel, very nice. « Fabulous brand new hotel and the staff are incredible! »

My friend and I stayed at this hotel from April 4 - 10, 2016 on a business trip. The hotel had only been open a few days although you'd never know it. Everything was fantastic and running very smoothly!. After a wind storm during the night the power went out and the elevator wasn't working. One of the staff (Hue) brought our breakfast up to the 3rd floor! When we came in after a long day of work and told Inder at the front desk that we were going straight to the hot tub, she turned the jets on for us and after 15 minutes came into the pool area and reset it for us so we didn't have to get out! Pat in the kitchen provides a good breakfast with lots of options. Don't even get me started on the beds, bedding and pillows. It was like sleeping on a cloud - made getting out of bed in the morning very difficult. The rooms are very nicely appointed with nice sized fridges, Keurig coffee makers and lovely bath products. Everyone at this hotel went above and beyond to ensure that we had a great experience. Thank you!
