"VERY POOR PROFESSIONALISM"
NDBrooks0811, 08 Octobre 2018

VERY POOR PROFESSIONALISM!!! There were plenty of billing and professionalism problems with this establishment. I have been trying to speak with the manager and general manager since i left the hotel and have NOT been able to. The communication between staff members were horrible. The first shift associate was very helpful. I have been trying to see if the amount that was held onto my bank card had been released for a refund and no one could answer my question, the night auditor didnt know how to access my reservation before I was checked out and the night auditor didn't know how to look up my reservation afterward. He got very short with me and kept placing me on hold and then hung up the phone. I called back and he didn't answer the phone when I was trying to speak with the general manager before he/she left. He got VERY SHORT with me and basically told me that all he knew how to do was to check a guest in and that was it. I would have to call back YET again to try to speak with the manager. The general manager was suppose to give me a call back but never did. I will NEVER stay at this establishment again for personal nor business. I was in a suite that included a kitchenette but there wasn't any napkins, cups, forks, spoons...etc. There weren't any extra towels nor washcloths. I used to work for Bestwestern for many years as a night auditor and front desk associate. So I kinda still know how these things go. I would like to get FULLY compensated for my treatment and inconvenience of my time.

"Very questionable"
Travelinround2013, 30 Septembre 2018

This hotel was listed 4 stars, the reason we booked it. It was in an area that was very dirty with a lot of questions people outside. The room was reasonably clean, but you had to park away from the hotel. Wonderful resturaunt across the steet, but it might not be a 4 star hotel, if this is across the entrance from check in.

"Perfect for our needs"
Explore756221, 26 Septembre 2018

Perfect for our overnight before flying out of Philadelphia. Very courteous staff and a large breakfast offering is included as well. Eggs meats waffles youguet cereal fruits. Shuttle was hassle free.

"Not the best neighborhood"
shannion42721, 12 Septembre 2018

The rooms are clean, staff is friendly, but not the best neighborhood. We were approached several times by homeless asking for money. You can get better rooms for the same price closer to the airport. No pool as advertised.

"I really enjoyed my stay at best western plus and i will use this hotel the next time im due to be in chester."
Diane B, 10 Septembre 2018

The staff was so attentive and very polite but professional. And the breakfast was by far the best ive tasted coming from a hotel. The Room was clean and I really loved the bed. Thanks Best Western plus.

"Bad neighborhood decent accommodation"
hkhine, 09 Septembre 2018

Located next to university and see campus police near there. Also it's next to 711 and book store. Seems like a some characters hanging around 711 and didn't feel safe there and also didn't feel safe to park. If coming to school or airport with no car then may be ok. But not the place for visiting/touring family.

"Bheste PA Best Western is the BEST"
katherinemR7071VJ, 06 Septembre 2018

I have used this hotel for a year now to visit my child at school. I have NEVER had any issues. They have always gone ABOVE and BEYOND to accommodate my needs as a parent visiting their child at school.

"Decent Hotel in Shaky Area"
Don C, 20 Août 2018

Reasonably priced hotel near Philadelphia airport and adjacent to Widener University. Comfortable rooms for a night's stay with a nice free breakfast. The one bed queen suite is a good choice. The hotel is on the north side of I95 in Chester, PA. The area is a bit shaky if you like to take walks and dine out.

"Bad customer service"
Sheena S, 20 Août 2018

Good location, free parking, free breakfast....but dont expect for your room to get cleaned and dont expect management to do anything about it. Be on time for breakfast or you will be rushed out of the dinning room area. Dont complain because nothing will be done about it. Terrible customer service and no follow-up on complaints.

"Nice quiet room"
Brent H, 17 Août 2018

Great staff. Check in and out was quick and easy. Room was large and clean. It was also the only hotel I've been to where the AC in the room was on full blast when it was hot outside, it's awesome. The room can be loud from people slamming doors, sound carries a lot in the hallways. The amenities in the bathroom smelled nice and the water pressure was good. Breakfast had some eggs and sausage, along with the usual continental stuff. Overall it was a great place for a night that's convenient to the airport.

"Best Western - Chester"
Jeffrey H, 15 Août 2018

I stayed at this hotel from one night while traveling through Philadelphia. My flight was cancelled and my travel agent helped set me up here. There is a shuttle which runs between the airport and this hotel, and the clerk at the front desk was very helpful in directing me through the airport to get to where the shuttle would pick me up. She even called me back twice to updated me on the progress of the shuttle driver! The hotel is located in an interesting place and likely caters to folks staying in the area for Widener University. The hotel seems to be half of a large building complex and appears to be fairly new. I stayed in a king room, which was quite large with plenty of room to stretch out. The amenities in the room, such as the HVAC and sink/shower worked just fine. My room was on the corner of the hotel near the main street, so up until early evening, it was a little noisy in the room. But things seemed to quiet down later on, so it was not too bad after that. There is an Uno Pizzeria just across the street from the hotel, so it's an easy spot to grab a bit to eat. There's also a 7-11 convenience store next to the hotel if you need to grab some quick items. My stay at this hotel was for one night after a frustrating day of travel, so I didn't get to check out too many other aspects of the hotel or the area. However, if you're looking for a hotel outside of the city that is in a quaint neighborhood, I would suggest checking this Best Western out.

"Queen with counter top and mini fridge"
gclardy015, 15 Août 2018

I stayed in the Queen room that I thought had a kitchenette with a stove but it did not. It had two microwaves and a mini fridge. However, I was still able to enjoy the other amenities the room provided. I would highly recommend to stay here. The internet was a bit unreliable when I used it on my phone. Never had the time to report it being that I only stayed to just have somewhere to lay my head at night.

"Good nights sleep but..."
redlung003, 13 Août 2018

Slept great the room had nice amenities but the location is in a transitional area where cars get broken in, the parking lot aid throws unknown clothes on nearest car which was mine and house keeping was lax.

"Inexpensive, Clean, Free Breakfast"
allierprescott, 10 Août 2018

Overall the hotel was great. It was in a clean and seemingly safe area. The staff were polite and super happy to help. The room and linens were clean and the hotel soaps were a good quality. The continental breakfast was hot and fully stocked and the other guests seemed generally happy. There's also a 7-11 across the way, which is awesome for a cheap late night snack, and their crew was also friendly and helpful. My only dissatisfaction is with the hotel pillows...super uncomfortable and gave us neck and back aches the next day.

"Wowed at Widener!"
Alan H, 09 Août 2018

Such a blessing to stumble across this hotel where my wife, teenaged son and I spent an additional night than planned. 60 room hotel is tucked way just across the street from the expansive Widener University campus, which is a great place for walking! All the staff were exceptionally polite and helpful. Room was clean and just right for the three of us. When back that way again, will definitely stay at this property!

"Awful customer service"
rebv_13, 24 Juillet 2018

I am very disappointed in Best Western's customer service. If you look through my other reviews, you'll see that I generally only take time to review places I enjoyed - in fact, this is the first negative review I have given. I made a booking error online when I accidentally reserved a night the week after I needed it (I didn't have my reading glasses on). Within 24 hours, I realized my error and contacted Best Western, first the hotel which cancelled my stay but was not able to talk with me about a refund so they directed me to a national line. I called them, talked with someone who absolutely did not seem to know what to say or care about my situation and referred me to an email address. I sent an email and eventually got a stock response saying that I would hear back within 7 days. A full month later, I finally got a curt response letting me that no refund was available. Honestly, had someone contacted me right away with apologies but explanation about why I couldn't get a refund, I would have no problem. However, the company has made it quite clear they do not care about their customers. Do not stay here. Do not support businesses like this one.

"The WORST Housekeeping Staff EVER"
MsDebora C, 16 Juillet 2018

While initially this hotel should receive at most 3 stars due to the staff's helpfulness in the planning of our family reunion at this location, it's the housekeeping and management's lack of concern towards it that has dropped my review to a one star. The positives about the hotel are the breakfast staff, who were excellent and extremely friendly while providing great service. As well as the young lady (Alicia, I believe her name was) who was the person who checked us in. Her attitude was phenomenal and that lady deserves a promotion. The neutrals - There is an Uno's and a 7-11 located right next door for food/drinks and late night conveniences. The hotel is located across from a college campus so, if you're looking for a bit more, take a short drive over to Philly. Now for the bad and downright dirty - On our second day, we requested that the room be cleaned after we left out. Upon arrival back to the room, we saw that there was only one bed made in our 2 Queen Bed room, and a note left on the other bed stating "UNFORTUNATELY YOUR ROOM COULD NOT BE COMPLETELY SERVICED DUE TO THE NUMBER OF ITEMS AROUND THE ROOM. WE APOLOGIZE FOR ANY INCONVENIENCE. IF YOU NEED ANY ADDITIONAL ITEMS PLEASE INQUIRE AT THE FRONT DESK - MANAGEMENT". I have never in my entire life stayed at a hotel that would intentionally clean the room partially. This is pure laziness. I purposely always tidy upon my belonging before leaving any room because I don't like housekeeping moving my things but there was literally a NECK PILLOW AND MY PERSONAL BLANKET on the bed, they surely could've just moved them to the next bed and made it up. Where should I have placed those items? If the staff is picking and choosing what to clean when they feel like it, I can only imagine the behind the scenes filth. When brought to the attention of the manager on duty at the time, Cheryl, I was informed that that was how they operated, even after showing her a picture of only my neck pillow and blanket on the bed. No apology was given at all. Management clearly allows this nonsense. There were also brown stains on a few towels, our ice bucket plastic bag was never replaced, towels were never picked up off the ground in the bathroom. During checkout, as we were leaving at our 12pm late checkout time, the lazy housekeeper, decided to rudely bang on the door and told us to hurry up and leave. If only she had been that excited to clean the night before. This place is lucky to still be in business, they should thank the heavens for the college next door.

"Better than I thought it would be"
Hevsy, 07 Juillet 2018

I knew it was a basic motel but for what it was it was better than I thought it would be. The lobby is small but staff were nice. The room was basic decor but clean and big. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was a reasonable size, but only a shower. There wasn't much space for storing wash bags. Breakfast was basic but there was enough choice for our needs and the staff were friendly and helpful. Car parking was free and it was located opposite a decent restaurant and close to the university.

"Stay Away"
tripplanner2222, 22 Mai 2018

First the check in lady was very rude didn't tell me anything about hotel and check in took forever when no one was there. Entered room to find Mold all over the shower when I called and asked for a new room they were shocked I wanted a new room. The 2nd room had Mold in shower and ripped wallpaper. They had one last room which I had no choice to take. Less Mold in shower but after we unpacked had BUGS in the bathroom. Let's just say the cleaning service they have is Poor and they don't know how to take care of a hotel. My advice STAY AWAY...yes it's close to Widener University but not worth it drive to University City 15-20 mins away and get a nice clean Hotel.

"Family trip to East Coast"
Taylor T, 13 Mai 2018

Our stay was wonderful. Even with some of the little tiny problems, the staff and hotel amenities totally made up for it! I would definitely stay here again if we are ever on the east coast again. Close to a lot of restaurants and shopping.

"In the Ghetto"
ddtucciranch, 11 Mai 2018

The staff was super friendly, that was the only good thing. I got there and the hotel is literally in the Ghetto. There were drug addicts and homeless people asking for money when I arrived outside, then I get to my room late after a track meet, and there was PUBIC Hair in my bed. If that wasn't bad enough there was a cockroach in my shower the next morning. I was exhausted from traveling all day, so I literally slept on the bath towels, as there was a track meet and the staff was super busy trying to get them all checked in. I will never come back.

"Grandparents day"
Shakiyra B, 09 Mai 2018

This hotel was close to where I needed to be. The breakfast was good and the area was safe. The bed was comfortable and in rood internet work well. I like that the room had a coffee machine and mini refrigerator.

"Weekend getaway"
fwhite71, 09 Mai 2018

Great place friendly staff. I'll stay again. Must go to Uno good food and close to hotel. Excellent shuttle service from airport. Picked up within 20 min. Transportation system around city was confusing. So we used Lyft. Weekend trip for my honey and I to do something different and fun.

"Would not stay here again but nice staff "
Smoola K, 12 Avril 2018

I really was contemplating taking pictures of all the dirtiness that I found in the hotel room, but then again I felt bad because the front desk staff was kind and they were doing their job well. The breakfast selection was also decent for this hotel brand and the lady that was working there was very kind and helpful. The juice was heavily watered down though and the coffee tasted very bad. It was the people that made it a two star rating for me as opposed to a one star. However, the entire shower was so dirty that even if you paid me money to take a shower in it I would not. It looks like there were years of grime on the bottom floor as well as the walls of the shower. Also, my pillows were dirty and I found other people's hair on two of my pillows and there were stains on the sheets and pillows as well. The place is enough if the only thing you're looking for is a place to shut your eyes for a few hours in the night. If you want a nice vacation, I highly recommend that you do not stay here and seek accommodation elsewhere. Ps. The entire hotel has a mild musty smell to it, but it's bearable. Happy with the staff though. They made the stay worth it.

"Nice looking hotel"
Goodnight347654, 11 Avril 2018

Nice looking hotel, pretty clean everything seem to be in working order. Walking distance to stores, and university right across the street. They have a gym kind of small but you can do most workouts, with: weights, bike, and treadmill.

"One night stay before Philly"
JWWA, 09 Avril 2018

We were coming from south and needed a place to stay so that we could see some sites in Philly before we flew out the next afternoon. Since we wouldn't be at the hotel much I didn't think it made sense to spend $$$ to stay near the tourist sites in Philly. I booked it without knowing anything about the area. The way our gps took us to the hotel had me a bit nervous since the area was sketchier than I am used to. The hotel itself was fine, the staff was good, the distance to Philly wasn't that long, but just overall it's not a place I would stay more than a night. The way we drove to leave did show us that the area wasn't as bad as we thought.

"Loss for words and 4 star it's not"
TurnedOFF2018, 08 Avril 2018

I'm at a loss for words and I believe I covered everything within the survey, in detail. I don't feel like covering everything I disliked all over again in the public view, however, i will write a complaint to corporate and hopefully it doesn't fall on deaf ears

"Choose another area hotel"
reneeluccirn, 07 Avril 2018

Place was not clean. Rooms had musty smell and furniture was stained and tattered. Room was switched at last minute to a non-whirlpool room. Hotel did try to fix the problem but the whirlpool room smelled worse and the whirlpool was dirty with hairs in it.

"Do Yourself A Favor and Stay Somewhere Else"
Elle M, 16 Mars 2018

These reviews saying it is great here must be fake because I can't fathom anyone saying this hotel is nice and the two rooms I saw did not look anything like the nice photos on the website!!! I'm not that picky...I just need a clean, safe room, and the rest is a bonus. This hotel did not meet those needs. There was no indication from the exterior that they offer valet parking, and the parking lot entrance was easy to miss, especially at night. Walking into the hotel, even on a freezing cold winter night at midnight, there was still a man outside begging for money. The front desk clerk never smiled, and was not welcoming at all, but wasn't exactly rude, either. It was just a very odd interaction with him. He told us the airport shuttle was available anytime so we gave him the time we needed the shuttle and he said he would put us on the list. The next morning, the shuttle driver told a different story and said it only runs once on the hour. With a bit of moaning the driver did agree to the extra run at the half hour. It was great that the driver did that, but it should not have been a source of frustration. The employees here need to have the correct information to give to guests. While checking in, several non-guests walked in and out of the lobby, asking to use their public restroom and asking for information about the city bus. No problems happened, but it did not lend to feeling like a very safe, secure location and it gave me an uneasy feeling. If those had been the only problems encountered, I probably would've overlooked it all and not been too bothered, since this was just a very short overnight stop, but the worst was yet to come. The hallway to the hotel room smelled like a litter box. I had to hold my breath. The room was not quite as stinky, but it was still musty smelling. It did not look anything like the pictures on their website. It was very dark and dingy, felt very old and dirty. The pillows on the bed smelled like hair products, so I can assume the pillowcases were not changed after the last guest. I hope to God the sheets had been changed. Luckily I travel with my own pillow/blanket and had some cleaning wipes and air freshener with me. The bathroom counter top had a lot of crud build up all over it, the toilet did not flush well, and it had mold and feces under the front interior rim. Disgusting feces aside, how does a toilet that is supposed to be cleaned every day grow mold inside? How long has it been since it was properly cleaned?!? I unfortunately didn't notice any of that until I was leaving, otherwise I would've insisted I be moved to a clean room right away, and may have even asked for a refund and found a different hotel, altogether. When walking to my car to leave, there was a different man standing outside the lobby begging for money. If you choose to believe the other reviews and you decide to stay here, bring a hazmat suit and low standards, because it's rather gross.

"Good deal for the price"
CCVolleyball_88, 03 Février 2018

Was able to get a room on last minute's notice due to the room I booked at another hotel being dirty and in a very unsafe area. Wasn't going to take any chances as a single female traveler. Price was reasonable, room was decent, and the breakfast was good too. Only downfall is trying to get in and out of the hotel and the parking. Would stay here again.

"Comfortable hotel with really nice people "
Rosine B, 26 Janvier 2018

The room is clean bed comfortable the shower has a good pressure the staff is super friendly and efficient really taking care of you for any little problem Breakfast is correct kitchen is well equipped fridge micro wave Parking not easy to find Asking to check out later was not a problem

"Best Western Chester PA (Airport)"
chuckh610, 11 Janvier 2018

Nice hotel in the center of a city. Difficult to find the parking initially. There was considerable activity outside of the hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful. The towels were pretty rough. This hotel is a 15 minute drive from the Philadelphia airport.

"Friendly prompt service"
paulfW3179MU, 31 Décembre 2017

The was a one night stop before taking a plane the next morning. We needed a quick check in and a hot drink on a very cold night, The staff came through. With Best Western (at least in the US) we get a consistent product at a reasonable price. The frequent visitor program provides discounted prices from the beginning of membership.

"You get what you pay for."
fionnap192, 25 Décembre 2017

Affordable, working shower, and a place to sleep. I wouldn't recommend for someone who wants luxury and stays in the room all day. More like for people who will always be out late then come back to sleep.

"Zeph the front desk manager is the best."
bettyl371, 17 Décembre 2017

The stay included my aunt and uncle from Georgia, they were extremely pleased. Zeph the front desk manager was knowledgeable of surrounding eateries and suggested Uno's restaurant to order food. The food was good. Zeph rented us the conference room every Sunday for six months starting January 2017 to June 2017. Her services and skills are excellent.

"Stay before departing Philadelphia"
C1051RQsusant, 13 Décembre 2017

I must take the time to rate this hotel as a 5 star experience. The location to the airport was close enough, the lobby and the rooms were very appealing, clean, and comfortable. The breakfast area and food that was offered was hot, fresh and delicious. What impressed us most were the staff that made us feel welcomed and appreciated for staying at that hotel. They were so friendly and wanted to make certain that we had everything we needed or wanted during our brief stay. Upon leaving they ALL said that they hoped that they would be seeing us again soon. Have only the best to say about our stay at this location.

"Disappointed"
grimaldyp2017, 12 Décembre 2017

Room was filthy . Be careful with using there wi-fi it's unsecured. I will never go to this location ever again . It was a family trip I was very disappointed all I got was "sorry for the inconvenience " i wasnt offered anything for the inconvenience.

"Quiet, Clean, and Great Service"
jmztripadvis0r, 12 Décembre 2017

Hotel was quiet and clean and hotel staff was extremely friendly. Good breakfast. Large rooms. Exercise room was decent. Has an airport shuttle that runs every hour in the morning. WiFi worked well and was free.

"Team Work Makes A Difference"
carlosrW6538RM, 12 Décembre 2017

The folks at this hotel were extremely eager to insure that our stay was without any issues. The place was clean, the people were friendly and made it a point to make us feel at much at home as possible.

"Clean Hotel for the price"
E6572QQteresap, 08 Décembre 2017

This hotel is clean, and the staff is friendly!! The continental breakfast is good and the breakfast area is clean. Mrs. Jerry, is the one that was working during our stay, she takes great pride in making sure the food presentation is nice and clean. In addition, she has the sweetest spirit!!! The ladies that work at the front desk has a great personality as well. They made us feel very welcomed during our stay at Best Western.

"Thanksgiving College Pick-up"
katherinemR7071VJ, 27 Novembre 2017

I love the location of this hotel to Widener University and the staff are always so accommodating and helpful. They are located right off the interstate and have a great restaurant right next door. I have arrived at all times of the night and been taken care of.

"Game Time!!!"
Ashley W, 23 Novembre 2017

Stayed here for a 76ers game vs Golden State (my team). This hotel sits just outside Philly but still close enough to the Wells Fargo Center. It is in a quiet area and you surely don't have to deal with the chaos as if you were staying in downtown Philly. The hotel is also across the street from a University and surprisingly it was still quiet. Cheryl at the front desk was super nice and started and ended my stay here wonderfully. She welcomed me with a warm smile and I was instantly drawn in even at the late hour. She also checked us out which shows her dedication and passion for her job. The rooms were very spacious and clean I will certainly visit here again.

"Wonderful staff!"
Steen H, 18 Novembre 2017

I have stayed here a total of 7 days on 2 business trips and the staff is outstanding. Price is right if you are looking for a budget deal but as I say the staff is great. Shuttle pickup and delivery back to airport is better than most upscale hotels.

"Great experience"
G4686OPmichelea, 14 Novembre 2017

No complaints during the stay. Room exceeded expectations and staff was very friendly. The entire hotel was very clean and quiet. I will definitely stay again if I am in the area again on business. Breakfast was adequate.

"friendly staff, major facility problem, unresponsive management"
H2805JWjeffreys, 13 Novembre 2017

When we turned on the heat in the room at night a TERRIBLE smell came from the heating unit. We shut the heat off as quickly as possible, but the putrid odor lingered in the room for the rest of the night. It was disgusting. Front desk staff was professional about this and provided the contact info for the Assistant GM, but an email to the management has not been answered. I cannot recommend this hotel. On the positive side, the front desk staff, especially Kelli, were very friendly and welcoming.

"Wonderful Stay!"
320johannal, 13 Novembre 2017

Stayed here to attend a conference at Widener University. I loved the proximity to the venue. Made choosing this hotel important. Being unable to extend my stay without purchasing a new room for the next night was unfortunate but overall this was an excellent stay! And inexpensive too!! :)

"very happy with my stay"
679lesterd, 12 Novembre 2017

had a great experience , everyone was very helpful and friendly,,the shuttle guys were very good . the people at the front desk were very positive and helpful. i wish everybody had their attitude, they really made it a good experience

"OUR STAY AT BEST WESTERN"
Elizabeth F, 08 Novembre 2017

We had an early flight and decided to stay close to the Philly airport. The hotel offers rides to and from the airport. The check in staff was friendly and helpful, as was the check out staff. The room was roomy and very clean. The only problem was the bathroom fan which was very noisy. We did report it in the morning. The driver came quickly and was friendly. I would definitely recommend this hotel. I would suggest a larger sign, as we had trouble finding the entrance.

"Airport staging"
Larry M, 08 Novembre 2017

We needed a place to stay close to o to get airport PHL. This hotel served the purpose we'll. Clean quiet room with an airport shuttle and free parking. The staff was helpful and friendly. The breakfast was a hot breakfast and we'll laid out. I would recommend that his hotel for an airport connection

"Here for a wedding"

I was very happy with the staff & facilities at this Best Western. It was clean and the staff was cordial, efficient and had a fine sense of humor. The company should be proud of them. The room was comfortable and clean. We had breakfast the next morning and it was quite good. The area was clean and the woman who was in charge of the area was helpful and really nice.

"Convenient and comfortable."
BettinaMarie, 30 Octobre 2017

We were in town for a wedding nearby and asked for an early check in to get ready. Happily, we were given an upgrade and the room was huge! The hotel is conveniently across the street from a Pizzaria Uno's and there is a 7-11next door. The front desk staff was friendly and the staff at breakfast was friendly and helpful, checking on us multiple times. The only downside was that a housekeeping staff member was yelling down the hall at 10am to find her coworker and she did so, louder each time, 2-3 times. We were up but it would have been very startling had we been asleep. Also, for the room quality, the towels are very old and scratchy. It's a small thing, but that upgrade would be more befitting the rest of the experience.

"Perfect stay"
Nick L, 28 Octobre 2017

My wife and I spent two nights at this hotel. The front desk lady Zeph was most helpful. The room was clean and spacious. The bed was comfy. We had originally planned to stay there one night. We extended our stay because there were too many things to see in Philly. Parking tips : park your car at the huge private car park at junction between Victory Ave. and West Chester Pike near 69th Street Transportation Center. It costs only $4 for whole day parking. We parked our car there and bought two tokens each to travel to and fro downtown.

"Good Value"
L6526EOstacym, 27 Octobre 2017

I stayed here while attending a concert from out of town. I did not spend very much time in the hotel, but my experience was overall good. All the staff I encountered were friendly and helpful. My room was clean and everything was in good working order. You can tell that the hotel is a little older. The building is showing its age a bit, and the coverlet was a bit worn, for example, but there was nothing wrong with anything. My room was quite large, and I felt it was a good value for the price. The bed was comfortable. The thermostat was easy to use and cooled/heated the room quite well. I really liked that the little sitting area was set off from the rest of the room. On this trip I was by myself, but this would be a nice room to share with a couple other people or to socialize for a while. I saw a review before I booked that said the air freshener used in the room was quite strong, and I noticed this as well. The windows do open, so I was able to air it out a bit and didn't have any trouble. But be careful! I don't think very many people open the windows and they are MUCH harder to close than they are to open. As a woman traveling alone, one thing did make me a little nervous. To get to the lobby from the parking area, you have to pass under a pretty long and winding underpass where the hotel and adjoining buildings are connected. No one approached me and I didn't have any bad experiences there, but it did put me on edge, especially as I returned to the hotel around midnight. However, the hotel is right next to a college campus, and the area appears safe overall. So I don't see this as a big problem. Overall my stay was pleasant and I would consider booking again if I return to the area.

"Needs better housekeeping"
MICHAEL C, 23 Octobre 2017

I appreciated the room upgrade at check in , but the lack of attention to housekeeping negated the pleasantry of the upgrade. There was hair ( not of my color or ethnicity so I know it's not my own) in the bathroom corner, makes one wonder was else was not cleaned well. The following day, room service didn't show up until 4pm. Breakfast was ok, real eggs would have been better, but on par with other chains of this level.

"A very friendly Hotel"
Suzanne M, 19 Octobre 2017

This hotel has employees who seem to love what they are doing. Kelli who checked us in greeted us with a huge smile and couldn't have been more helpful. Jerry the breakfast attendant who brought sunshine into the room and made you feel as if you were a guest in her home. The rooms were very clean, the bed very comfortable and had a walk in shower with a fantastic shower head. I would surely stay there again without a second thought.

"Very friendly staff"
Spankyff, 18 Octobre 2017

Arrived late due to horrible traffic. Check-in was very easy once I found where parking was. There is a very limited street parking area for check in and you must park around back. Room was clean, breakfast was very good. All employees were very pleasant. No complaints here.

"Best Western @ Widener U plus Philadelphia Airport"
255melvinb, 17 Octobre 2017

Tucked away at the edge of Widener University in historic Chester Pennsylvania, this Best Western is the place to stay if you have business in Delaware County PA, or are heading south on I-95. Parking is convenient, the staff is friendly, rooms are well-cared for, and prices are reasonable. And, they have the best complimentary breakfast I have tasted anywhere.

"The Place To Stay At Widener University"
RangerBob204, 16 Octobre 2017

If you are heading to anything at Widener University, or for the old Pennsylvania Military College that later became Widener, this is the place to stay. There aren't many good choices in Chester, so book this place. The hotel is across the street from the University and across the street from a relatively new Uno Grill. This may not be one of those top five star hotels you're looking for, but we found it clean, adequate and perfectly located. The staff is wonderfully friendly from the van driver to every person manning the desk, and I don't routinely report that. Breakfast is just one of those pre-prepared microwave type omelettes Best Western puts on, but that's not the hotel's fault. We found the room clean, good comfortable beds, good ac and very good wifi....I would definitely stay here again, and you will do much better here than at the other hotels in the area.....

"Pleasantly Surprised"
jpooch13, 11 Octobre 2017

We stayed for just one night while attending a wedding locally. The staff at check in was great. The bed and pillows were really comfortable. The breakfast was above what I expected. So many selections for toppings just for oatmeal. The made to order waffles were so light and fluffy. The danish were so fresh. Staff in the dining area were friendly and helpful. Only con I had was the smell of cigarette smoke in the hallway. I was originally worried the room would be the same....but it was not. The room smelled fine.

"Great hotel"
Matis P, 10 Octobre 2017

Hotel and staff is great, the area is kinda dead after 6 pm but Philly is just a Uber ride away, there is a Uno Grill and 7-11 just outside the hotel so you dont have to go to bed hungry. As area is dead after 6 pm only you are sure to get a good night sleep as its very quiet area with the university across the road.

"Fantastic hotel. Extremely friendly employees."
I9509VLtinal, 29 Septembre 2017

Tyree was great at check in and check out. Great person. Will definitely stay at this hotel again and highly recommend it. The rooms are spacious and clean. Beds were comfortable. Breakfast was great and very clean.

"Best BW so far!"
Bruce B, 26 Septembre 2017

We always know what we are going to get and that is why we try to always use Best Western Plus. The staff was very friendly and professional, especially Cheryl B. Location was excellent. We will definitely stay here if we come back to Philadelphia!

"Quiet and Friendly Staff"
247cedrick, 19 Septembre 2017

great staff, clean rooms, and good breakfast :) Would definetly stay here again when I come back. Also not far from Downtown Philly and close to the airport. Parking is a little difficult as night time students tend to park there from the adjacent university.

"Great place to stay"
Ella C, 19 Septembre 2017

When my husband and I go to Philadelphia we always stay at this hotel. It is just outside of Philly and great to go to after you visit there, the staff is very friendly and helpful. It is in the vicinity of Widener University college but it is quite not a lot of noise. There are some restaurants around the area that you could also visit.

"Wonderful welcome and service"
Dana C, 12 Septembre 2017

Everything went very well at this dog friendly hotel near the airport. The check in was seamless and at check out I was contacted by housekeeping and the front desk that I forgot my phone charger in the room! VERY APPRECIATED. FRIENDLY WELCOME STAFF. Will definitely go back!

"Excellent stay"
638gregoryl, 11 Septembre 2017

Clean and well appointed. Staff was very pleasant and helpful. Price was very good. Great value for this class of hotel. Highly recommend. If I had to think of my one criticism, the shower head could have been better but I am nit picking.

"Decent but not recommended as a first choice"
Kim G, 06 Septembre 2017

For a Best Western, this hotel felt rather slummy. I didn't feel safe outside of the hotel. Staff was friendly though! Building access isn't great. It's not as close to the airport as one might think. While I love Best Western, I would not choose this hotel again unless there was nothing else available.

"Great Stay"
729elizad, 04 Septembre 2017

I need to get work done and the check was fast and professional. Breakfast was hot and fresh fruit was nice too. I will definitely return to this quiet atmosphere. I recommend Best Western Plus if your looking for a good night sleep too!

"dirty, broken, nonresponsive"
178lorettaw, 26 Août 2017

The bed spread had a 2 inch burn mark in it and was slated as a 'nonsmoking' room. there were other peoples hairS in the bathroom in the shower and on the toilet, as well as what appeared to be mold in the shower. was told to talk with the manager who wasn't even there at 1t 0 am check out.

"BEST Customer Service ever received by a Hotel!"
kevinmac15163, 24 Août 2017

It was absolutely imperative that I write such a great and wonderful review of the Best Western located in Chester, PA because of the sincerely over-the-top attitude that not one, but EVERYone honored us with during our stay! Besides the amazing attitudes and exemplary service from the initial greeting until the final salutations...the battery on our car completely failed, leaving us "dead in the water" in an unfamiliar place, and it is as if every employee, including the GM, was available to assist in whichever way possible! Anyone who knows car trouble knows it is a high-stress situation, especially in an unfamiliar place, but each person, from the concierges to the drivers, to the GM each helped out in their own special way to get us safely on our way in the most efficient way possible! Zeph, one of the nicest concierges I have EVER met, honestly assisted with every single question/concern we had, as did Cheryl! Not to count out Kenny and Quincy who offered their vehicles to help and drive to AutoZone or wherever we needed, whenever we needed! I could not thank the entire BW crew enough, and I must say, we were absolutely LUCKY to have stayed at the BW in Chester, PA...because I can simply say I would still have my car, I am quite sure, at any other hotel in the area! Kudos to the best staff I have ever had the pleasure of meeting, and next time I go to gamble at Harrah's, there is only one hotel and one staff I look forward to seeing!! (Thank you again and again for your level of service guys!)

"won't stay again"
shonw882, 23 Août 2017

this hotel did not meet my expectations. the hotel was a perfect location to widener university however it was not clean and the entire floor we stayed on smelled of marijuana so we had to be moved to another floor. there was stains on the furniture, floors, and lamps. it was nasty! the breakfast staff member rushed you telling people they only have 30 minutes because she will be shutting it down and locking the door, she was rude!

"Good choice to catch a match at Talen Energy Stadium"
Joe D, 18 Août 2017

We were in Philadelphia Center for two nights , but decided to be closer to Talen Energy Stadium for an away soccer game for our Montreal Impact. Could not have chosen a more practical location for our travel purpose . The BW Hotel was great . Property is in a good area, it is well kept and offers great value. Rooms are spacious and even though our room did not have a bathtub ( it had a stand in shower ), it was clean and served its purpose well. Thank you BW.

"CLEAN AND CONVENIENT BUT DISORGANIZED"
Jules996, 14 Août 2017

First, the good part. The hotel is very clean and is located across the street from Widener University. It is across the street from a Pizzeria UNO with long opening hours. Our room was very clean and the bed was super comfortable. The bad part is that this BW does not train its staff. The breakfast was an absolute disaster. No coffee. No milk for cereal. No eggs. My husband stayed for 15 minutes, and said that it all came out eventually. I am impatient and need a cup of coffee, so I went next door to the 711 for coffee. If you're not pressed for time, this is a good hotel. I could not recommend it for a serious business trip, however. Check-in was very good, however, which is why I rate "service" as average (half disaster for breakfast and half excellent for check-in).

"Good business hotel, close to University and Airport"
WimJAR, 09 Août 2017

Friendly staff. At some moments, I had some time left (waiting for colleagues at the reception desk) and so I had some very nice and interesting chats with reception staff. Rooms were clean. For business this hotel is fine, in particular when you need to be at the University (Widener), which is next door.

"Wonderful Staff"
gyllag, 07 Août 2017

The staff in this hotel was top notch and extremely accommodating. I really appreciated the way they accommodated me at the last minute, since it was my first time to Pennsylvania. I want to thank them again.

"Ask for a room in the back"
Willaim L, 01 Août 2017

This hotel was wonderful. We stay in hotels a lot and this one rates among the best! The only issue is morning noise from the street. Next time we go there I will request a room away from the street. (A lot of bang for the buck)

"Noise and Inaccurate Breakfast time"
AndrewKokyle, 29 Juillet 2017

The rooms smell and noise can be heard from next room thru the wall. Breakfast served late not exactly 6am as expected, ended up took off early can't wait to avoid delay. Staffs are friendly by the way, dress code need alil improvement.

"Missing wallet"
Margaret B, 24 Juillet 2017

Stayed two nights, okay for VERY urban hotel except that my wallet went missing during the day ... not recovered. Police report filed. Parking is around the corner from the hotel entrance. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone travelling alone. Had a "lovely" view of the 24 hour 7/11 store and all of the varied folks who frequent the store in the middle of the night. Noisy track team up late on Friday night - quieter on Saturday night (after the meet!)

"Great Location To Philadelphia "
GTZW, 21 Juillet 2017

Great location to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (about 25 minutes). Very quiet and clean hotel. Great hot breakfast selections (sausage, eggs, bagels, waffles, yogurt, juices, coffee, etc). First Best Western with multiple toppings for yogurt and waffles including fruit & whipped cream. YUM!! Located near Widner College and there is a Bank & a 7-11 located on the property for your convenience. Best of all the 7-11 does not sale beer, alcohol, nor wine so you don't have to worry about the party crowd. Parking lot is very well lit, college security patrols across the street, and hotel staff is friendly & professional. If you want to go to Philly, take the Free hotel shuttle to the Mariott Airport location and catch the Big Bus Tour Company to Philadelphia for a Hop-on Hop-off pass. Then reverse and never drive anywhere saving you the headache of trying to find parking in Philadelphia. Good Luck!

"Poor Experience Elevator Broke"
650patricke, 18 Juillet 2017

Our church held our convention 5 minutes from the Hotel. That was the only good thing about the stay. The new owners did not provide shuttle service like we're told. The towels were dirty just about everyday. The elevator broke on Sunday when we checked out - This was a common occurance. Then the power went off. Avoid unless they clean up their act in the near future.

"Mediocre at Best"
457garyn, 15 Juillet 2017

The adventure started with and hour and one half delay in pickup at the airport. Some might be or fault with wrong information on terminal, but after correction it still took 45 minute for shuttle to arrive when he was already at the airport. Arrived at the hotel. My wife had injured her knee at the airport, needed assistance. Hotel has no wheelchair, not very ADA compliant. Desk attendant was nice and friendly but admitted she was new, had to call management for help with something. Gave us our room. Complained to US about not being properly trained. The room was not what we ordered, so we immediately called to change. She changed, told me to get the key. Again said we we lucky someone had turned down the king suite or we would not have gotten the room we reserved. Hmmm, so the reservation means nothing?? The room was decent, amenities not what one would expect in a suite, but adequate. Bed was fine. Checkout this net morning was ok Have to say this is not a nice neighborhood.

"VERY DISAPPOINTED"
MzNielsen, 13 Juillet 2017

Our flight into Philadelphia arrived at 7:00 pm (EARLY!!!). We called the hotel for shuttle pickup and NOBODY ANSWERED THE PHONE!!! We called the Corporate number, and the woman there, phoned the hotel. Our wait on that call was over 5 minutes. When she came back on the line, she said that they would send the shuttle, but they did not have a wheelchair available (which we needed). We waited for the shuttle. When it had not arrived by 8:00 pm, we called, and called and called. It was past 8:30 pm when the shuttle arrived, only to slow down and then pull to the curb further from us. When we arrived at the hotel, there was a new person at the front desk, who took no time telling us how she was new and how serious it would be if she made a "mistake". She finally gave us our room key. We had reserved a King Suite with a separate sitting area. When we opened the door to our room, we had two queen beds. Period. Not the suite we had reserved. When I called to say that we were not given the room we had reserved, we were told that that was all she had. NO! We had reserved - online - a King Suite with private sitting area! The front desk person finally said that we should return to the front desk and she could put us in another room.....which turned out to be a "suite" for handicapped persons! I had purposely NOT reserved that kind of room!!! We stayed in the room....but the television in the sitting area DID NOT WORK!!! There was a HUGE stain on the ottoman that made using it quite repulsive. I was SO looking forward to soaking in a tub after an entire day of plane rides. SO.....after all that complaining.....THE BED WAS WONDERDFUL!!!

"My pull out couch mattress nasty"
tay010176, 10 Juillet 2017

I would give the hotel a much high rating in most areas had it not been for my disgust with the numerous yellowish/reddish stains on my pull out couch and housekeeping's difficulty finding a clean replacement. Several rooms were checked. There also seemed to be no higher management available for contact after 10pm. I find that quite disappointing for the price paid to stay in a suite.

"Best Western Widener University"
matthewtB9314SN, 06 Juillet 2017

Staff were tremendously helpful and professional. Room was clean and functional. Overall an excellent experience. The hotel is located in an area that is undergoing urban renewal and renovation. The facility is easily accessible from I-95.

"Very Good"
558lirac, 04 Juillet 2017

I enjoyed my stay. Staff professional and helpful. Very respectful! No complaints. Was able to sleep peacefully. No safety concern overall good stay. If there are any concerns trust me the staff will do all they can and then some to resolve them. Thanks again to Cherly, Zeph . Jerry thanks for being the best breakfast host, as always a pleasure! Thanks to the drivers for their professionalism and great attitude! Never complained.

"nice hotel close to airport"
melanied343, 02 Juillet 2017

We have used this hotel a number of times do to having grandchildren in the area. Sometimes by car and also by air. Like how close it is to the airport. It is in an area I would sometimes question but no problems for us. Next to a 7/11 and a restaurant making that convinent

"Strange set up but great staff, rooms and a restaurant right next door."
Tyme4relaxing, 27 Juin 2017

I don't understand the layout of this hotel or what is was or is to be. We ended up parking in the correct lot, the building shares a 7 Elevn and looks like they are making what was part of the hotel into apartments. You have to park then walk through an ally way to get to the lobby. The lady that check us in was very nice. She offered to up grade me to a suite but I choose a room with two beds instead. The room was large and comfortable. It had an easy chair for my husband to relax in. I think this was our best room during our 2 week trip along the Eastern US. There is an excellent restaurant across the street Uno Chicago. I highly recommend it. check out was quick and easy Our room had only a shower and the water pressure was a little weak. The breakfast was great, bacon & eggs. The lady in the breakfast room was sweet, we talked for several minutes. She was telling me they have a special breakfast on Sundays. I would certainly stay here again and again. Very good Best Western...that it what I expect from your hotel chain. Great staff too!

"Business Trip"
294saundrad, 26 Juin 2017

Excellent hotel. Room was clean and nicely decorated. Air conditioning was exceptional (summer trip). Staff was very friendly and helpful. "Chicago UNO" restaurant/bar across the street, and a 7-Eleven adjacent to hotel. Fridge, microwave and coffee in room. Lots of fluffy pillows. Ample outlets for phone chargers, etc. Very pleasant stay.

"Lost return time"
Emack824, 25 Juin 2017

The hotel was good. A little scary at night to get to the entrance from the parking lot. You has to walk thru a long breezeway between buildings and there were some unsavory folks around the area. But the worst was we were an hour ahead on return due to a great tailwind and when I called the hotel for the shuttle to pick us up, they said the shuttle was leaving right away. An hour later and 2 phone calls we got picked up. They only have one shuttle vehicle and they were waiting for 1 person from the hotel to go to the airport before theft to pick us up. So they inconvenienced 5 people for 1. Probably won't return. Just for shuttle service. The hotel itself was good.

"Great value, shuttle to airport"
Jao988, 21 Juin 2017

Stayed 1 night prior to a trip out of phl airport. Clean room, comfortable bed, nice facility. Pizzeria uno and 7-11 next door. Friendly staff. Neighborhood was good. Convenient shuttle to airport. Would stay again.

"Excellent Stay"
susansJ1085PK, 16 Juin 2017

This is a great hotel in a convenient location at Widener University. Easy access to Rt. 95 just minutes from the Philadelphia airport. Staff was friendly, lighted parking lot, pet-friendly and lovely old buildings nearby for pet strolls.

"Hidden gem"
K5613MWjoelb, 09 Juin 2017

Overall very nice hotel, with a very friendly staff, clean, well lit rooms, great location, good value, nice breakfast in a comfy room. parking is a little odd but workable. feels like its a part of the neighborhood. we will be back

"Hidden gem in between a collegs and a community"
Joel_in_MD, 07 Juin 2017

Stayed here while attending a Rugby 7s tournament at the nearby MLS Soccer Stadium was very pleased by the entire experience. Location was easy to find on GPS. The parking lot was a little challenging but they had to squeeze the complex into a tight space, so you do what you can. Staff was very friendly and responsive to any questions. Rooms were clean and bright and had just enough amenities to make us feel comfy but not overwhelmed. Buffet breakfast was a nice additional feature that was above avg in my experience. Not like golden corral but better than some hotels versions of a breakfast buffet. The adjacent 7-11 was an added bonus that came in handy while we stocked our mini fridge for the weekend to cure the munchies.. We have already said we will stay there again.

"best hotel ever"

"Stay"
ElisaJ893, 29 Mai 2017

Very average hotel. Loud hallways during my stay. Beds and pillows fair. Room clean. No blow drier in room but staff was helpful and brought one when I called. Breakfast was good. A decent value for the price. Not that close to airport

"Best Western Plus Philadelphia Airport South at Widener University"
monodb, 28 Mai 2017

Very positive atmosphere of room. There was, however, a distracting continuous background sound that seemed to be a fan air vent. I could find no way to turn it off. The cleanliness and style of the facility fis one of the best I have encountered.

"AIRPORT in location title misleading"
westcoaster2017, 25 Mai 2017

This location is not convenient to services or to the freeway onramp needed to reach the airport. Very difficult to find hotel and find the freeway onramp. Signage is poor. There is lots of construction near the hotel which makes it more complicated to follow GPS directions.

"Not good"
User, 24 Mai 2017

The staff is pleasant. The area is not good; especially when Widener University is not in session. The parking lot is shared with a 7-Eleven, and you walk between two buildings with empty first floors to get to the lobby. The place isn't filthy, but it's not particularly clean. I travel about 10 weeks a year; rather than stay the week I moved to another hotel.

"Family trip"
robertaD1158BR, 23 Mai 2017

The hotel has upgraded its facilities substantially since our stay about 4 years ago. It is clean and comfortable, and a pleasant place to stay. The continental breakfast was adequate, and better than most hotels in its price category.

"Great Staff!!!"
wendymB5269UJ, 16 Mai 2017

The staff were great at this hotel! Zeph at the front desk was super helpful and able to help us with knowledge of the local area. The staff definitely wanted us to feel comfortable. The rooms were clean. Breakfast was the average hotel breakfast you could except.

"Nice Suite"
Craig E, 15 Mai 2017

The Suite was spacious. The separated living room and bedroom was tastefully done. They could install more lights to brighten up the walkway from the parking area. Nice place, I would stay here again!

"If you want breakfast, just remember that is ends early here."
darlin41ny, 15 Mai 2017

I am a tour bus driver, the hotel is not illuminated with a Best Western sign making nighttime arrival difficult. The parking lot is not motor coach friendly. The coffee maker filter tray was on the counter in my room with a dirty coffee filter in it. I thought I would have breakfast at 9:45 a.m. with breakfast ending at 10 a.m. WRONG!! right down to no hot water for tea, no coffee, eggs empty, bacon empty, only white bread for toasting and the breakfast worker sat at a table visiting with 2 friends. When I asked Zeph at the front desk if more breakfast would be brought out, she checked with someone and said no because of the time. Zeph was very nice despite the situation. I witnessed several other people looking for eggs and bacon and coffee or tea. Total room rate was $125.34. I would think if this hotel wanted the team I have transported here or others to return again, it would behoove them to provide breakfast during the time listed it is available. I would share pictures of all of this but I left my phone in my room.

"Convenient location"
happymom66, 13 Mai 2017

Room was clean; beds were comfortable. Location was very convenient for personal travel. We had a room on the top floor (recommended for better noise control from street below). The room had 2 queen beds, a mini fridge, and coffee maker. Plenty of pillows on the beds. Front desk staff employees at check in & check out were very friendly and helpful. The hotel provided a decent breakfast buffet with various hot & cold items, incl. fruit and some healthier choices. The lady working in the breakfast room was very friendly and sweet. Cons: 1) The hotel shares its parking lot with a 7-11 and another business; I was a bit uncertain leaving my car in this somewhat busy parking lot but it was fine. 2) our room had a shower but not tub, which was fine. However, the shower curtain was about 2" too short, resulting in a wet floor and very very very soggy bath mat, despite our best efforts to turn the shower nozzle towards the wall away from the curtain.

"Best Western Plus at Widener the place to stay when visiting/flying to Philadelphia"
Rox202014, 02 Mai 2017

Very convenient, shuttle will take you where you need to go (bar, airport, casino, etc.) Breakfast new: fired chicken and home fries. very convenient and easy to get to. Clean, close to Widener (for visiting parents and family).

"Great choice, easy access"
A3128WJclaudiam, 02 Mai 2017

For price, service and convenience to the airport, it can't be beat. Not your regular airport hotel, homey, comfortable, and great breakfast. Good staff, helpful and friendly. And in easy access to all the major highways around Philadelphia.

"Clean and friendly"
cynthiaa484, 20 Avril 2017

The hotel wouldn't come up to do online reservations however when I called the staff was extremely helpful. The room was clean. The staff was friendly. The only thing I seen was wrong is the ac/heat unit didn't work properly and we were already settled in and didn't want to move rooms so we didn't report it.

"Great value"
Carol C, 12 Avril 2017

Travel with a dog. Next to a college and a great place to walk the dog. Safe and well lite. Our dog is always welcome at Best Western. Staff friendly and helpful Great breakfast. Close to major highways

"one night made easy"
rickyw660, 10 Avril 2017

The staff was very helpful. the facility was clean and inviting. We would definitely consider staying here again. We did not partake of any of the other amenities as this was a very short trip.b ut the staff made it very easy for us to do what we had to.

"April 2017"
Mary-Jo R, 09 Avril 2017

This hotel is on Widener University's campus which makes visiting my daughter very convenient. The hotel is clean and comfortable and I like the breakfast in the morning. The staff is very friendly. I also like their loyalty program.

"very nice hotel"
UPSdude, 08 Avril 2017

Room was very clean and comfortable. Location is next to the college. Parking is limited. The staff is very helpful and getting checked in and out is easy and quick. The downside is the people who hang around the entrance and the parking lot after 9 PM. There are a few folks that were just outside the front door asking for money and would follow you out to your car. If you are in for the night there is no problem. If you venture out after dark...watch your back.

"Great Stay"
Cvstaples, 08 Avril 2017

This hotel is conveniently located across from UNOs Chicago style pizza restaurant, across from Widener University, and beside an 7-11. The price was very reasonable and the staff was kind.? I would definitely stay here again!

Hotel was extremely clean and the staff and room were nice. The only two issues were that the TV only received a few channels and they were analog and the door kept scraping on the rug so you had to make certain that it was closed when you went out.

"Nice Location"
Oliver C, 22 Novembre 2016

The hotel is at a good location at the university campus with a restaurant and convenience store very close. The TV service was the worst of any hotel in the US that I've been to. The sheets and pillow cases were dingy.

"Looks Nice but very noisy on the 4th"
MICHAEL C, 19 Novembre 2016

Hotel looks nice, staff was nice when checking in, but at 1 AM had extremely loud mechanical noises and vibrating in the room. When asked to have another room I was told I would be charged more money if I had a room on another floor, in my opinion this is ridiculous and unprofessional resolution to a hotel problem. One would expect to be put in another room and kept a happy customer, but the lack of management skills was telling me I would be charged more for a different room, when the problem is a hotel problem.

"Paper Thin Walls and Computer Problems"
richardtA2173HD, 10 Novembre 2016

Computer was down for two days. We could not sleep all night because of people screaming at each other most of the night. When I called a day earlier about arrangements to take me to the airport, I was told 24 hour service. The night that I arrived and try to set up my transportation to the airport I was told that they only take people on the hour.

"Interesting neighborhood"
stccac, 30 Octobre 2016

We stayed here in Oct 2016. The neighborhood was rough looking. It is located in a complex of other businesses including a 7-11. They do have security cameras in the parking lot and a security guard. There was construction going on. The rooms were nice and the beds comfortable.

"ok stay"
meshullamt, 28 Octobre 2016

it was an ok stay. nothing to say about the hotel itself. Wasn't great and wasn't horrendous. Would recommend this hotel for someone looking for a place to stay but not for a vacation. Good luck on planning.

"Scary at night and a bit outdated"
sassypants777, 18 Octobre 2016

In all fairness I arrived at 8 p.m. and my first experience was of a complex nature of attempting to locate the parking lot. Though I will say the desk clerk was very helpful when I called and asked for specific directions. The parking lot is well-lit but it feels like you have to walk through a back alley to get to the door which is uncomfortable to say the least. Needless to say I ended up locking myself in the room until the morning. I couldn't figure out how to turn on the lights in the bathroom and in the hallway. Also I had issues with turning on the TV. So I went down to the clerk's desk and explained my concerns, and that's when the janitor actually spoke up and said that I must be in the University's Green Room which is an experimental prototype for advanced technology. You have to put your key card in a slot on the inside part of the wall in order to activate certain parts of the room electricity. This would have been fine and well had they just given me the heads-up and explain how to use it, again and all fairness the clerk was brand-new and explained that she had only started 2 weeks ago. So if you happen to get this room go in optimistic. I had just left another Best Western an hour away and you wouldn't be able to tell that these two hotels are owned by the same chain the beds were completely different the layout of the rooms even the complimentary beverages we're completely different. This hotel seems to be an extreme downgrade and a matter of convenience for the University as well as the Philadelphia Airport which is within 6 miles.

"I felt home."
Dibitinha, 18 Octobre 2016

Me and my husband spent a wonderful time from 09/28/2016 to 10/02/2016 at this very nice hotel . The crew is exelent,we didn´t find a single thing to complain about them. The recepcionists are very sweet and helpful, the Manager of the restaurant is a very special person. The drives of the vans too...the cleaning lades. They all made as feel home. A super recomend this hotel and for sure we will be back there.

"Attention to detail"
Stuart Z, 10 Octobre 2016

I picked this location for convenience to the airport and the persons I was visiting. It is not in the best of neighborhoods, but was clean, comfortable, and secure. Breakfast was pretty standard, but adequate. The front desk staff at both check in and check out made me feel welcome, and made sure to get things right for my rate and application of the discount card that I had.

"A quiet refuge!"
DALE H, 01 Octobre 2016

We checked into Best Western Philadelphia Airport without appreciating all the advantages on offer...the airport shuttle, the helpful staff and their caring support. We spent a really great 5 nights there and highly recommend the hotel!

"Best Western Plus Widener ROCKS!"
April B, 30 Septembre 2016

It's the only hotel I stay at when visiting Philly! I've stayed there 8+ nights and couldn't be happier!! The staff is outstanding, rooms are clean and the beds are super comfy!! It's located among the Widener University Campus. The neighborhood can be a tad sketchy at times, but the hotel areas are well lit and is staffed with plenty of security! I feel quite safe there with my 12 year old daughter! I have stayed at all the surrounding Best Westerns and this location has the BEST staff, value, and access to I-95N, so getting to Philly is a 15 minute breeze!!! Stay here, you WILL NOT be sorry!

"No HD TV"
spectare, 28 Septembre 2016

A hotel of this caliber should have HD tv channels.....nope, not happening. The staff is excellent. Everybody went out of their way to make our stay a welcome and friendly experience. The entrance to lobby is on the opposite side of the building from the parking lot. That seemed a little weird.

"Dirty bathroom, not safe"
Gwyn B, 28 Septembre 2016

The bathroom was not clean I had to spray the shower before I could use it. The surrounding area outside the hotel had a 7-11 and there were people hanging around- one was smoking a "blunt". Other cars waiting had loud music playing and just had an eerie presence. I did not feel safe.

"Good location"
RSgross144, 27 Septembre 2016

Hotel is having some renovation work done but it did not interfere with our stay. The front desk and the shuttle drivers were very informative of the best way to get into town. Took shuttle to airport and caught train into City Center. Room was great for us, nice size 2 room suite but no soundproofing. Noisy neighbors in next room sounded like they were kicking a ball against the wall, talked to them and they settled down until 4:30 the next morning when they got up I guess to catch a flight and thought everyone else should get up too, not hotels fault. Would stay here again.

"Complete disappointment"
Nikolai999, 24 Septembre 2016

Don't go here if you are scared of dangerous neighborhoods, want a quiet night, or a clean room. Arrived to smell of sweet mary jane in the lobby, loitering black youths outside 7/11 , walls with holes and wallpaper coming off as apparently whole hotel was flooded 3 weeks ago, none of the doors shut or open properly. Stayed two days and room was not cleaned or beds made throughout. Didnt sleep because of loud music from other rooms till 2am. Didnt knock on their door for fear of being shot by an angry occupant (that is the sort of neighborhood it is in!). No apologies or explanation from hotel staff. Would not stay there again even for $50 per night, we paid about $120.

"Great Value"
Monica R, 22 Septembre 2016

Husband and I stayed one night as we were attending a weekend concert near by. The staff was excellent! Couldn't be friendlier. The hotel itself and the room was clean. Plenty of parking with a fairly well lit parking lot, which is a huge plus in that area. Will definitely be back again next year!

"Convenient Location to highways"
queensys, 13 Septembre 2016

In town for business very convenient location. Hotel clean but a hot water pipe busted while I was staying so this created an unpleasant stay as amenities were limited. Hotel can be loud at times which can be expected being right next to a university. I recommend the top floor if you want peace and quiet.

"Great value at Best Western PLUS Phildadelphia Airport South at Widener University"
Mary W, 06 Septembre 2016

This hotel offers great value for the price with breakfast included. Rooms are large; beds comfortable and having a microwave and refrigerator are real pluses. Location adjacent to a 7/11 is not optimum as I noticed it becomes a "hang out" at night and, as a result, can become quite noisy.

"OMG! Best Western Plus. PLUS WHAT???"
Brian C, 31 Août 2016

Probably the worst Best Western Plus hotel I have ever stayed in. It barely reaches the minimum standards I expect of Best Western, although it was reasonably clean and quite safe which amounts for something.

"Booking my 2nd visit now"
Leona M, 23 Août 2016

Stayed last year for our Thanksgiving trip, booking now for November and saw this.. Clean, great front desk folks, breakfast was good with great staff.. Loved a ride to the Tavern for dinner, shuttle was efficient in am, waited a bit long for it on back end, after 11 pm arrival really and really love the free parking for a 10-12 days trip. Reason I am back! A fabulous value......why pay bigger prices, this works well!

"Above Average....Not Very Good"
Buzzard05, 23 Août 2016

I really wish I could give this place 3.5 stars as it was above average, but not "very good" which is what the 4 star rating is. Our room was clean and comfortable, but needed some TLC. There were a few broken fixtures, random (small) holes in the wall, etc. The AC unit worked okay...but kept the room kind of humid (unless you really cranked it up and made it freezing). The hotel is directly across the street from Widener University, which is very nice if you are visiting there. There is a 7-11 directly next door which was convenient. However, it is a bit of a walk from the parking area to the lobby. Several "locals" loiter in the outdoor passageways you have to walk through to get to the lobby, that make you a bit uncomfortable (given Chester, PA's reputation). One dude reminded me of "Techno Viking" and just kept staring at my son and I. Every staff person I encountered was happy and helpful. They are what make this place a decent place to stay. Check-in / check-out was quick. Given the price and the location next to Widener, I would definitely stay here again, but would do so knowing what to expect.

"Not recommended!"
Maisha J, 21 Août 2016

Receptionist are very friendly; that's where it stops being pleasant. Mattress of the pullout had a big stain and not even the standard mattress pad on it. One of the towels had big dark stains and was overall dirty. When we called the front desk we had to come get new towels, mattress pad and extra blankets ourselves. Bathroom was barely clean with a perpetually stained toilet seat and shower tub. Water in the kitchenette sink did not drain at all, was still there after 2 days. Breakfast was already being cleared 1 hour before the official end time and the lady doing the breakfast was essentially harassing everyone, constantly being up in everyone's business and bossing people around. She should have just made sure everything (or at least most of the things) were there until the end time, but she did not.

"Solo trip to PP & L Stadium"
R5225EJwilliams, 17 Août 2016

Hotel was clean. Service was good on a very busy night. Shuttle was very convenient ride taking me safely to the stadium gate & returning me to the hotel later as arranged. This was important due to the area near the stadium. Wi-Fi did not work & I was unable to get help with that. There were 2 computers available in the lobby.

"nice hotel with potential"
fyiforburns, 14 Août 2016

Rented 3 rooms for one nite $68.13/night/each total. Good breakfast. Good location for my needs, clean, newer furnishings, complimentary Philly pretzels. Good experience overall. 2.5 star hotel. Better value for $50 - $55. $68 is too high. Booked on Priceline but Priceline seems to be losing its bargaining power and their fees hinder good values for the buyer. Unusual risky parking relative to hotel entrance. My son left a computer USB headphone fob in room and it disappeared when he called the hotel a few hours after checking out to recover it. Hmm:( All elec. receptacles in all lamps did not work. Low quality issue.

"It's Just OK"
Brian H, 11 Août 2016

The hotel seems pretty run down, and rooms need a face lift. The staff was pleasant and accommodating. We mainly stayed there for the 24 hour shuttle service, so we can go to the nearby casino. It is at a good location if you are going there as well as the University. Otherwise, there are better options in the airport area.

"Convenient Location to the University!"
sharonwB8310KB, 26 Juillet 2016

I attended an event at Widener University and the hotel was within walking distance. The staff was wonderful and checking in and out of the hotel was a breeze. I was really impressed with the cleanliness of the hotel. I also liked the fact that I didn't have to go out for breakfast.

"My stay"
Jose T, 23 Juillet 2016

all good, I recommend this hotel. It is a university campus setting with much security and conveniences nearby including main highway connecting to downtown Philadelphia and it's many tourist attractions and public transportation access.

"It's ok. It's in a quite area"
MeAnn_Irvine, 22 Juillet 2016

This hotel is very close to the university, and approximately 35 - 40 minutes from Philadelphia. Cheryl and Antoine at the front desk and Geri was in the breakfast room. They were very friendly. The parking lot is shared with a 7Eleven convenience store that closes at 11:00. You may park on the street but the street is very narrow. Breakfast is served from 7:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. on weekdays and 7:00 - 11:00 a.m. on the weekend. A double room has 2 queen size beds and a chair with an ottoman that can be used for sleep if really needed. There is nothing within walking distance besides the small store. A car is needed or public transportation to stores and restaurants. Food from a local restaurant can be delivered up until 11 p.m. The nearest shopping mall is approximately 20 minutes away in Delaware. There are no frozen yogurt shops in the area.

"Not a good hotel"
flyfivegaited, 14 Juillet 2016

Waited over 40 minutes for the airport shuttle van to pick me up. Horrible driver. Almost ran into another car at a red light. Hotel construction. Front desk disorganized. No A/C in the breakfast room. Never again. Would rather sleep at the departure gate at the airport !

"NOTHING PERFECT"
Dierdra C, 12 Juillet 2016

Spent one night. I know cleaning personnel do their best I'm quite sure, bur nothing is perfect in this world. The microwave missed being cleaned. The pillows are too small ,but that's ok No bathtub only shower, but, that's ok. The family above our room had a children that do what parents allow children to do play and run, without regard to others below or next door, but, that's ok. Front desk took care of it. I'm know others reported this little inconvenience. but, that's ok. It takes all kind to live in our world and that's ok. I will do it again. Thanks BW for the memories.

"Not up to usual Best Western standards"
mdn74, 09 Juillet 2016

This was the worst Best Western I have ever stayed in.The carpet was dirty when we checked in. We picked up previous guests personal items up off the carpet. There was a vent for an exhaust fan in the bathroom but it did not work. There were two broken lamps in the room that were leaning sideways. The was no bedding for the sofa bed and when I went to the front desk she seemed put out when I told her I had already looked in the closet. I had to ask for additional shower essentials. The TV reception was not good and one remote only worked some of the time. Housekeeping was awful. We booked the room for three adults and only had towels for two. The following morning I let the front desk clerk know that I would like the carpet vacuumed and that I needed towels for three adults. The carpet was still not clean when we returned at the end of the day. We stayed 7 nights. Every single day we either received no towels or only one or two towels. Receiving wash cloths, hand towels and a floor towel was very hit or miss also. Each day we had to ask for bath towels and we received various excuses. One day I was told that housekeeping does not come in until 9 AM. Another day, it was after 4 PM and my son was told that they were still washing the towels and that he could go find the housekeeper to ask for some. A different day when I directly asked housekeeping for towels for three adults, I was told that she would give me two sets. I had to re-explain again that I needed towels for three adults (every single day I had to tell them that I had three adults needing towels). The only PLUS to the hotel was the two shuttle bus drivers and breakfast attendant who were super friendly and helpful. Breakfast had a decent variety of options and the bed was comfortable.

"My Review"
Chuck M, 08 Juillet 2016

I have stayed at this property before without problems, however this stay was way different. As always a majority of the staff are friendly. My bathroom was semi clean. There was body hair trapped between the glass and matting of the picture by the shower. No clean towels were left for me the next morning after showering. The bed was comfortable, however it lacked a regular bed pillow. The WI- FI Connection was terrible, and when I reported this problem in the evening, I was told by Front Desk Clerk"I have no idea how to reset WI-FI, and my manager is not here". I reported this issue to Best Western Customer Service, and guess what? The WI-FI was fixed. Room Service is not on site. I order dinner, and the delivery person "Room Service" refused to deliver to my room, so I had to go to the lobby and pick my order up. Not a good way to run a Room Service Business. There is a UNO Pizzeria across the street to eat lunch or dinner.

"Stressful BUT They made it right. "
Megan H, 30 Juin 2016

My family stayed at this hotel the night before our flight for vacation. We had two rooms booked for 3 adults and a baby. The girl at the desk upon checking in was wonderful. She was very accommodating, seemed to be knowledgeable and she was kind. We ordered a crib for one of the rooms & I thought it was nice that the maint man waited until someone was in the room instead of going in alone. There is only one place (that we saw) for dinner nearby. The room was decent, I wasn't blown away by it but it was clean. We did have an issue in the morning however. We were scheduled for the 5:00 shuttle to go to the airport, and had to be there by 530. The shuttle was overbooked & there was no place for us or our luggage. The driver suggested I hold my 1 year old for the drive so we could squeeze in. Since this is unacceptable we packed up the car and drove ourselves to the airport even though we already paid extra to park there for the week. Upon arriving at our destination we contacted the hotel and they did rectify the situation even though it made for a really stressful morning.

"Fraudulant"
Nicole G, 28 Juin 2016

Booked this hotel to use their park and fly service. I must have misbooked bc woman at desk told me that is NOT what I had booked but that it would only cost $20 more for park and fly. I agreed but then upon check out was told it was $50 more! I tried explaining the change we agreed upon the evening before but it fell upon def ears, probably because at 5am when checking out I had to bang repeatedly on the counter to wake up the man I could see sleeping behind the desk of the counter. Also remote in room didn't work and was told there were NO extra remotes anywhere. So, no TV for me for the evening as there weren't buttons on the tv itself! There were also issues with not having enough room on the shuttle service for the # of people that were signed up to depart at 5am! Really, I can't understand how that happens?? Then had to wait 50 min for shuttle pick up upon return from my trip when I was told the driver would arrive in 10-15 min after I called for service. Completely unacceptable from start to finish!

"Great Experience"
Ryan O, 21 Juin 2016

We utilized this property to stay prior to our flight out of Philadelphia. The hotel was great, clean, updated, and the service was outstanding. We had some concerns about long term parking, and shuttling, as we were heading on a large family trip with a ton of luggage. Their staff put all of our concerns to rest. The parking was convenient, safe, and secure. The shuttle was super convenient, and the drivers did a fantastic job squeezing us all in with our large amount of luggage. I manage a busy Best Western Hotel, and I understand the challenges that can be present in a property like this one. This property is well run, well staffed, and ultimately they vastly exceeded my expectations!

"Perfect Location!"
Darci O, 21 Juin 2016

We stayed here as the stop before heading to the Philadelphia Airport early in the morning. We were travelling as a party of 10 people, 3 rooms. Cheryl at the front desk was amazing! She made sure that all three of our rooms were nearby each other, and helped us schedule shuttles to and from the airport, as well as parking while we were away. We had two FANTASTIC shuttle drivers who were able to accommodate 10 guests, plus a week's worth of luggage for 10 people, 3 car seats, a pack and play and two strollers in one trip each way! They were quick, friendly, and a huge help! They made traveling to and from the airport effortless. We would recommend this property to anyone looking to stay in the Philadelphia area- especially those looking for a place to stay nearby the airport! This will be our new place to stay when in Philadelphia! Clean, quiet, and convenient. All important factors to us when choosing a hotel! Loved it!

"One night stay on way to Lancaster"
Jamie K, 17 Juin 2016

Wonderful staff all around... shuttle driver(s), front desk, and breakfast attendant were outstanding! I would recommend location to anyone. My only issue was no food available in the area after 10p it seems. I do believe a pizzeria Uno is opening shortly across the street.

"Pretty nice stay"
traveling2120, 16 Juin 2016

+++ The staff is very friendly and super helpful. The hotel is one block from Widener University. The hotel is pretty quiet, very clean. --- Some rooms don't feel very private, because they face the 7 Eleven and it literally feels like everyone waiting outside for the bus or standing at the 7 Eleven can see into the room. The neighborhood isn't great, the plumbing system is fragile (I saw maintenance with a plumber going to a couple different rooms!). Breakfast--- the plates are foam, the utensils are plastic.

"Polite staff but no security observed"
Suzann F, 13 Juin 2016

The staff was very friendly and we felt welcomed. The room needed a deep cleaning and the carpet and furniture needs shampooed or replaced. At night we were asked for money by a man outside the entrance. No security was seen in the parking lot or inside the hotel. The 7-11 next door had a very rough atmosphere at night, my husband went alone and didn't feel safe. No premium channels. Two minutes from I95 which was nice and the price was okay.

"Awesome Staff and Convenient to Philly!!"
carmens924, 13 Juin 2016

Great place to stay when visiting Philly and the staff is incredible! 10 of us traveled up to Philly for a soccer game and we got 3 rooms. The hotel is located across the street from Widener University on a corner that is shared with 7-11 (thank God for that on early Sunday morning). Quick check in and we were up to our rooms within 10 mins. Our rooms were clean and the beds were super soft! The hotel must have just gone through renovations because the carpet still smelled new!! The bathroom has a nice tall counter and the water is HOT!! Our rooms only had stand up showers, perfect for us. The parking lot was ample as well, but behind the building. Hot breakfast was great and the lady that works the breakfast area is the sweetest lady around! Great variety of breakfast food too. The hotel is less than 20 minutes south of Philly. Overall a great stay!

"Good stay, but not quite perfect."
KCTripster, 12 Juin 2016

The room was clean and comfortable, most things worked like they should. (Making sure all the lamps have bulbs, would be good for housekeeping/maintenance to monitor. - only one lamp with no bulb, so it was no problem.) The bathroom was clean and worked fine. The bed was comfortable, and the wifi was reliable. The facility was excellent, the parking and immediate are was safe. A brand new restaurant across the street and the 7-eleven were the only food options within walking distance, but that's okay...got what I needed. (I noticed a signs for a new pub hopefully coming in soon in the same building...that would be nice.) I took an early morning run through the campus and over to the casino. Campus had very active public safety staff, and I didn't feel concerned for my safety in the other areas. My only concern was the room smelled of possible smokers previously (main reason for the 4 and not 5 rating - emphasis on possible as i'm not sure what the smell or source was). Once I got the AC moving air, it was fine, but it never went completely away.

"Great Stay"
Robert M, 12 Juin 2016

We stay several nights at this sight. The room was great and the furnishings were all up to date. The bed and mattress were very comfortable and allowed for a good nights sleep. The entire facility was very well maintained as well as the outside pool which we used each afternoon. We will be back again.

"Not too bd, far from Philly"
luca r, 23 Mai 2016

Wiifi good Room spacious Parking ok, but very crowded Breakfast really ok for bestwern standard from 6am to 11am. Staff is really friendly and helpfull Area is close to university, and not so far from airport, far from Philly. Nothing to do or resturant to go. Room are no so clean. Seems shabby. Good for a short stop.

"My experience"
Delenor W, 21 Mai 2016

The location of the hotel could not be better for Widener University, and the level of service could not of been better. I would rate hotel as excellent overall. Considering the price paid, this is definitely the hotel you want to stay at when visiting the Philadelphia area.

"Nice room and tv, but dirty bathroom"
DarkCoder, 19 Mai 2016

I needed a one night stay near the airport. Looking at the price, I decided to take a chance even with the 3.5 star reviews. Unfortunately, the reviews were right. The hotel was mostly OK, with the exception of the bathroom shower. There was noticeable grime on the floor of the shower stall. This is unacceptable for a hotel, and they can and should do better.

"Preflight stay"
Loni M, 19 Mai 2016

The hotel was fine. The only reason I gave 3 stars is because of the area outside of the hotel. I didn't feel very safe taking my kids into the 7-11... Like another reviewer mentioned... The area had some unseedy characters around and about. Probably wouldn't stay there again unless I was left with no other option. We paid to leave our car there for the week we were gone and our car was fine when we returned. Shuttle to and from the airport went smooth as well.

"Just ok"
Paul C, 15 Mai 2016

This hotel is located in a relatively bad area. It's right across from the college so I guess if you were visiting there and location was important then this would be a good choice. We came to Philadelphia for a family function. Needed a place to stay and this was close to where we needed to be. There is nothing around there and the stores around the hotel are all empty. Well all except a 7-11 directly next to the hotel which only seems to attract unseedy characters. There are few places to find food but there are a few that will deliver. Parking is a challenge since the 7-11 and handicapped spots take up an entire row and are rarely taken. The hotel is ok. Rooms are a bit dated and forget about any extra amenities you might need. I practically had to beg for extra towels and we were supposed to have a fridge and we didn't. I'm a diabetic and travel with insulin so that was a problem. Beds are ok and bathroom is nicely sized but there is no tub only a shower stall. Breakfast was ok, I mean it's free and the woman who works there is very friendly and helpful. The hotel staff was very nice and aside from not being able to supply us with what we needed they were very accommodating. Lastly, the elevator while it looks renovated was painfully slow. I don't know if that is intentional but the hotel is 4 floors and to have to wait three minutes for an empty elevator to arrive is just a bit too long. My kids wanted to opt for the stairs but given the area I would not allow it. I have to say I was slightly disappointed by this hotel considering the price we paid. If you are going to charge 4 star prices you need to offer 4 star service not three star or two star service.

"Philadelphia visit"
Carlene M, 15 Mai 2016

Nice hotel, but difficult to access from road-parking is a walk from the hotel. Be aware, pet friendly so small, barking dogs are prevalent as is close to University campus. Nice breakfast choices and pleasant, caring staff!

"stuck on my birthday"
Ricardo M, 10 Mai 2016

I was stuck in town for the night on my 30 birthday, Cheryl and Tyrone was great welcoming me to the hotel and even helping me find local places to go celebrate since I had never been to Chester before, Tyrone even gave m e a lift to the local pub and casino. when I arrived back at the hotel Antwone and Muneer welcomed me back they were great and also wished me a happy birthday. upon check out Tatiyana helped me and she as well wished me a happy birthday everyone was so great and welcoming I might just take another trip there just to see the friendly staff at the hotel.

"Front desk staff is A+"
Bagan, 09 Mai 2016

We like to patronize Chester local businesses so were happy to try this hotel across from the lovely campus of Widener University. Overall, we'd stay here again based on the convenient location, sunny breakfast room and warm, welcoming staff. Our room (handicapped) was OK. I agree the pillows and mattresses are not up to the standard of a BW Plus. The breakfast room was a pleasant surprise -- sunny, clean and pleasant setting with corner Windows. A staffer kept coming in every 10-15 minutes to keep it tidy & supplied -- sign of a well-managed site, I'd say. Front-desk staff were tops. The college honors student Tatainya who checked us in made us feel welcome and appreciated. The day person Cheryl was equally competent & pleasant. One drawback is that there is no bar or restaurant on site. But they're building some kind of chain restaurant across the street (TGIF? Bennigan's?) so that will help. PA needs to change its liquor laws so hotel guests can buy a bottle of wine in the hotel lobby shop, as in more modern states.

"pillows"
Deborah K, 22 Avril 2016

Pillows were like sacks of flour. Internet wasn't working every time I tried to use it which made tracking an arriving flight difficult. Breakfast was good. Room door had difficulty opening due to rubbing against the carpet.

"Very Good for Overnight Stay near Airport"
Edward H, 15 Avril 2016

We booked this hotel for a park and fly stay. The rate including 5 days of parking was very reasonable. You are a short drive away from many restaurants, and the service at this hotel was very good. Not much to do at the hotel itself, but the staff more than made up for that shortcoming. Very helpful staff, especially Cheryl.

"Best Staff on Earth"
Gina B, 04 Avril 2016

For the value and location best hotel to stay at. Staff are always friendly and helpful. Would not consider staying anywhere else when in Chester. Kudos to the staff at breakfast and the night shift front desk!

"Business trip"
Andrew W, 28 Mars 2016

This hotel is located at Widener University, which has a beautiful campus. Despite also being a five-to-ten minute drive to a seemingly ghetto area, a mental correction institute, and Harrah's Casino and Racetrack, the area where the hotel is located felt safe. I booked a King Room, which was pleasant. My bathroom had handicap accommodations; it was very spacious. The bed was comfortable. The staff there are very nice and helpful! It also offers a free breakfast buffet, which is very nice. The hotel is relatively small and offers a friendly, intimate setting.

"Terrible"
Avan E, 27 Mars 2016

Room Door was extremely hard to open and close. Refused to supply more waffles for breakfast with-in the designated breakfast time. 2 climate control units in room and no indication of which one to use or instructions. Too many other issues to list

"Short trip made simple"
Leondra T, 18 Mars 2016

We arrived at the hotel at midnight and departed at 5:00am. Even thought it was a long day of flying. Once we actually arrived there. Everyone we encountered was professional and courteous There was one issue and it was taken care of in 5 minutes. Now that's CUSTOMER SERVICE!

"Good Service"
Naima W, 03 Février 2016

Good service will come again had a very nice time and the whirlpool was great and the bed was very comfortable. Love this place and will definitely come back again.. Keep up the good work. The only thing I would change is the process to check in and out, could be a little more up to date with the other hotels. But overall great job and great service.

"Dirty and Unhelpful"
bussinesstraveler774, 02 Février 2016

I stayed at this hotel twice in the span of a week. The first time there was a large black fly in the room, stains on the carpet, and hair in the bathroom. The thermostat was set to 66 degrees and I was so cold I had to sleep with pillows on top of me as there was no spare blanket and it took several hours to warm the room. The second time the room was a bit cleaner but the customer service was terrible. I was told a copy of my receipt would be emailed to me and I never received it, I emailed and got no response, I called and was told it could be two days to get a copy. I mentioned this was urgent as I need to bill back to my company right away but they did not care. Overall one of the poorer experiences I've had at Best Western.

This hotel has good services and is clean. I enjoy staying in the hotel even it is during an storm and snowy day. That ease the stress for emergency stay. The particular is about the hotel offer a free shuttle for guess to a nearby restaurant.

"A Real Decent Hotel For The Price. "
JerryMLosAngeles, 11 Janvier 2016

I checked in real late last night, slept late and didn't get to see the breakfast selections this morning but I heard they were good. The room was quite large, comfortable and quiet. Great WIFI also. I must say the hotel staff that I encountered were amazing. They seemed like they genuinely cared about me. The gentleman that checked me in was Antwon, the front desk lady this morning is Raquel. And another woman conducting an interview was quite cordial and asked if I needed anything and Rodney the shuttle bus driver saw me sitting here in the lobby (waiting for my business associates to come down) and inquired if I needed transportation to the airport or anything else. These are real good people that care. I wish all businesses had personnel like them.

"Great Airport Stop Over"
number10blade, 10 Janvier 2016

Shuttle arrived once called (as per instructions on the hotel website). Check in was a breeze. Room comfortable and well appointed. Included breakfast was superior. Shuttle back to the airport left exactly on time.

"Very unsatisfied :("
Debbie K, 05 Janvier 2016

I called and made reservations a month in advance for 2 couples. Upon arrival I asked if there were any upgrades available and there was. Yes, we all thought... We quickly went to our upgraded room which had a king size bed in one room and a pull out couch for the other couple in the other room, a kitchen and bathroom. We were in a hurry due to other plans, and didn't really pay attention to the room until we got back. We then realized that there was left over food in the cabinet, bags in another, dirty hand towel, freezer had some kind of liquid frozen in there, frig dirty. I called to ask for towels (only had 2, there's 4 of us) and bedding for pull out (only 1 pillow in closet. I explained that the room was dirty and was told we were going to be moved. Around an hour later we were moved to the same type of room, never receiving the towels we requested so we could all have one. Next morning cable in out... very disappointed...

"comfortable affordable and great service"
Talin P, 04 Janvier 2016

overall package, for someone who has never been to Philly or PA. This hotel was down the street from friends that I was visiting and it was perfect. There is a 7-11 right outside your door for drinks and snacks. The breakfast for being complimentary was delish. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. No complaints.

we were completely satisifed with our room was a little hard finding how to get into the parking area and where the hotel entrance was but they did have lots of signs indicating which way the front desk

"GREAT STAY!"
Renard B, 05 Décembre 2015

Great stay for one night. Amenities were very nice. The hotel is near Harrah's casino which worked out for me. I attended a get together in Downtown Philly; I had no problems getting there and back. Also have family not too far from the hotel. The breakfast bar was a great start to the morning. Room was very comfortable and had no noisy people there. Overall a great place to stay and I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

"Homecoming"
Patricia W, 04 Décembre 2015

The hotel's decor and design may be considered rather uninspired and utilitarian. However, the staff members have, on each of my visits, been attentive, understanding and sensitive . Each staff member gives me the care and respect and attention that my family members do. Merry Christmas!!!!

"Nice Place to stay"
angeleed2015, 28 Novembre 2015

This is a nice hotel on Weidener University. It was very quiet during our stay as we were there over the Thanksgiving Holiday. The staff was very helpful and nice, and we had a very quiet and peaceful evening.

"Quality of service going downhill"
Brenda H, 18 Novembre 2015

Have stayed at this hotel with a group every year since it opened. It is showing wear & tear and lack of professional service. This year, one of our rooms was hanging wide open with the lights on when we went to access it. Attitude of front desk staff was that we should still stay in this room. One room was not clean - hair in the sink & in the bed that did not come from us. No luggage carts were available to move our bags. Were told that people had just checked in before us. After checking every floor ourselves for the missing carts we trekked our luggage and supplies from our van to our rooms without a cart. Luggage carts were still not available the next morning when we checked out.

"Business trip to Widener Best Western"
David M, 16 Novembre 2015

Hotel room was clean and comfortable. The amenities and room quality was appropriate to the price point. The staff were exceptional in their friendliness and willingness to be helpful with printing airline boarding passes and recommending local places for meals (as the hotel does not have a restaurant. A decent breakfast was provided as part of the hotel room price. The hotel was quiet and reasonably comfortable. All in all a decent stay for a short business trip. The location was very convenient to Widener University.

"No bath tubs; only showers."
bgeagleway, 05 Novembre 2015

This is a clean, convenient property for our purpose of park, sleep and fly from PHL. I was not happy to discover that there are no bath tubs, only showers in all but the Jacuzzi rooms. That is very inconvenient for me, so I probably won't stay there again. Breakfast was average, but the lady who serves it is exceptional!

"Great stay"
nptraveler2015, 31 Octobre 2015

Service was fantastic, it was efficient and cheerful which was greatly appreciated after a long day of travel. Utilized shuttle option from nearby airport. Room was spotless, smelled extremely clean when I entered the room ( in a good way).

"great place to stay"
vacaexpert777, 27 Octobre 2015

This hotel is great. I am a frequent visitor to Chester to Visit Widener University and attend alumni events. Hotel has an amazing staff, great rooms and genuinely clean. Great morning breakfast and gym facility. I will definitely be back!!

"Disappointment..."
KATHLEEN D, 25 Octobre 2015

Booked through "get a room" several months ago and moved to another hotel three days before arrival. The new hotel, further away from the location we wanted, charged $12 per night for parking. However, Embassy Suites provided excellent service and accommodations.

"best western plus philadelphia airport south @widener u."
Alfred P, 24 Octobre 2015

the most notable aspect of the weekend stay at best western was the front desk service. friendly, courteous, very capable of handling the unexpected in an efficient manner. the breakfast area staff assigned to monitor this service were continually vigilant to insure the various stations were stocked and to those in need of assistance. one other area of service requires a note of appreciation. despite mechanical difficulties with the shuttle van, the driver improvised a solution which allowed our scheduled trip to the airport to depart on time.

"As always, the service was excellent"
Rox202014, 21 Octobre 2015

Came for overnight stay for Widener University function. The front desk, breakfast server, and housekeeping personnel professional and go out of their way t assist and please you. Room clean, nice, furnished as expected (with all necessities for traveling business person).

"Great Service"
JJinPGH, 20 Octobre 2015

This hotel was very nice for a weekend stay, the rooms were very big and clean. The one thing that I will rave about with this hotel is the staff. The staff was so nice all the way around. The front desk clerks were extremely nice and helpful. The shuttle drives were extremely nice but crazy drivers. The cleaning people were even nice and asked if we needed anything. I was very impress with the service, well done to the staff of this hotel.

"Best Western Airport South"
13Connie13, 19 Octobre 2015

Great little hotel close to airport and close to Widener College Campus. The staff are awesome including Cheryl who greets us each time we arrive to the very nice lady who takes care of breakfasts on the weekend. The other front desk staff are phenomenal as well. We've stayed at this hotel 3 times in the last two months. I would say the biggest downside are the towels. They are clean, but some could use replaced.

"Great Stay"
William M, 19 Octobre 2015

Was here for my 50th College Reunion. The Hotel staff are bright and extremely competant. We could not have asked for a better experience. Our accomdations were perfect and greatly contributed to the success of this event. Well Done!

"Was skeptical at first due to some of the negative reviews but was pleased with my stay."
sabor69, 16 Octobre 2015

I stayed for 3 days and was very skeptical at first but I was satisfied with my stay. The only negative things I weren't fond of is the carpets were stained so I just made sure I kept something on my feet and I was awakened a few times early in the morning due to how loud the room doors are which is why I gave a rating of average as opposed to very good. The area appeared to be okay and seemed more like a college town besides a few people hanging outside the 7-eleven that is adjacent to the hotel which will come in handy if you need anything.(The designated smoking area is around the area where I said people were hanging out) I can't rate the shuttle service, breakfast or gym due to not utilizing them.

"Best Western Minus"
Jennifer M, 14 Octobre 2015

I called for a shuttle upon arrival at the airport, by the time the shuttle arrived I had waited 1 hour and 52 minutes, and yes I called the hotel several times during that period. Never once was I told to take a cab and they would pay since they obviously were having issues. When I went to check in and mentioned my wait it was ignored. I was then given a handicapped room, which I did not request. There were 3 people staying in the room, when I asked housekeeping for sheets for the pullout couch I was given king size sheets for a double bed & no blanket. The sheets that were on the king size bed had no elastic on the corners and came off numerous times throughout the night which was very annoying. The breakfast items were almost empty when I arrived and were not being replaced in a timely manner, never saw any eggs on my first morning. Needless to say this hotel had me upset from the time my plane landed. I will be heading back next year for the same event and will find somewhere else to stay.

"Not for business"
SJW2012, 14 Octobre 2015

As a business traveller, what do you need from an airport hotel ? A shuttle. That was OK. Food within walking distance. Nothing decent - I had pizza from local takeaway in my room. Other travellers had to make do with 7-eleven. Internet ? This was the slowest I had encountered in recent years - less than 0.3mb/s in the evening. Had to do work using phone tethering rather than hotel WiFi. Even computers in lobby could not access Dropbox - as the browser was too old. So could not print out boarding pass. Shower was low on pressure so not a nice experience. Check-in staff in evening were good though. Would not recommend this hotel.

"Big disappointment in some service"
trvlkitti, 14 Octobre 2015

Kudos to the girl that was at the check-in desk when we arrived. She was very busy with people coming in early to the hotel to check in and getting the hotel shuttle to the concert venue PPL Center. Our room wasn't ready, but that was no problem, I didn't expect a room early. And to the shuttle driver TO the venue, great job! Now that being said...I chose this BW for a couple reasons. The biggest reason is the location, and that they had a "roundtrip" shuttle for the concert. I called ahead to the hotel prior to the trip to make sure they had a shuttle (if not I was going to purchase a parking pass) and was reassured they did. Shuttle to the venue dropped us off, and said that is where it would probably pick us up, and gave us a card to call when we were ready after the show. After the show we went out to the spot for pick up and called the hotel. A guy answered, when I told him what I needed...dead silence, wouldn't answer me. Another person waiting said he already called and the shuttle was on the way. 20 minutes later...no shuttle. We made several more calls and got the silence treatment each time. Finally one of us got through and the shuttle driver said due to traffic he couldn't get to the venue to walk to 2nd and Flower St. It is 2 AM, no one was at the venue anymore, no traffic, and this guy expected 7 out-of-towners to go walking around looking for streets in a city that we don't know?? TERRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ended up paying $50 for a cab. Breakfast...eggs were ice cold, coffee and orange juice were empty, milk was warm, out of pastries, garbage overflowing. Hubby did tell someone. They refilled the coffee and OJ, dumped warm eggs on top of the cold ones...eww. We were told to "leave our plates on the table that they will get them then, because the garbage was full at the moment.

"Not what I expected"
Kris C, 14 Octobre 2015

The Hotel is located right near Widener University however there is very limited parking and the hotel is located in a not so nice part of town. The staff is very friendly. the building itself needs lots of improvement. Stains everywhere!

"overall good experience"
M W, 14 Octobre 2015

good value--very friendly staff--clean room, including bathroom--good location with free parking, directly next to Widener--good selection at breakfast with friendly staff to help--both check in and check out processes were easy

"Amazing Customer Service"
Anna K, 12 Octobre 2015

My flight from Philadelphia to LA was rescheduled and booked a hotel room at last minute. Upon arrival, we were greeted by Antwone who was more than accommodating when we arrived around midnight. We were hungry and tired, and he did what he could for us. There was no place open for food near by so he gave us some bagels (we weren't staying for the continental breakfast), and then called us to see if we wanted a wake up call for our 4am shuttle to the airport. Antwone surely made our stay there comforting. He was the best thing about the hotel.

"Missed flight"
815ginah, 11 Octobre 2015

The room was nice .The only thing was that the doors slammed really loud. The check in staff was great . The check out staff was horrible; I guess they were not morning people. The area didn't have to many places to walk to.

"Clean, comfortable and value"
tep1, 05 Octobre 2015

I need to visit Swarthmore College periodically and I decided to stay here for a few nights in June. It is conveniently located off of I-95 and just 10 minutes from Swarthmore along 320. Compared to other hotels in the area, this represents the best value. The rooms are clean, comfortable with microwaves, refrigerators and in room coffee. The lobby also has coffee, tea and free breakfast. There is plenty of parking. I know people have asked me if I feel safe given the Chester location. I have felt just fine. It's well lit and across from Widener.

"Bad room"
John B, 30 Septembre 2015

Room smelled of PEE - all linens on beds smelled of animals - T.V. did not work - no one at hotel knew anything to help us and said no one was there to help - with TV - Not a good location or venue - should have food or in room guide to food to be delivered - only was Pizza? John Bergeson

"Two visits to the Best Western - one not so good, one good"
69cessna, 21 Septembre 2015

I encountered problems with both the pick up shuttle at the airport and the friendliness of the staff during my first stay. Waited over an hour for pick up and then was treated very poorly when I checked in. However, Chris the Manager was wonderful and gave me a credit towards my return stay the following week. The day desk clerk was very friendly and the shuttle driver went out of his way to take me to the Hertz rental to pick up my car on the 11th. Jerry in the Breakfast room was a friendly, sweet lady who went out of her way to be helpful.

"Excellent Place"
Theresa C, 20 Septembre 2015

I really LOVE this place! The staff was WONDERFUL! One of the Best staff I have ever encounter with. I love the rooms and Suites. Everytime I come to visit I will always stay here. They have good free breakfast that I love. The rooms and suites are very clean and spacious. You have free Shuttle that takes you and pick you up from the airport and to other places. Fantastic Place I love the Area nice and quiet all it needs is more stores and place to go to, hopefully that will come soon.

"Virtually no wifi..."
saralise11, 18 Septembre 2015

Hotel was average in just about every way... Rooms were fine (not particularly updated or outdated), service was fine, free breakfast was nice (eggs, sausage, waffle maker, bagels, yogurt, fruit, pastries, etc). My biggest complaint was that the free wifi was virtually nonexistent. So, if you're looking for a hotel where you can have internet access, this is not the place for you. Also, the neighborhood was "interesting." On the one hand, you're directly across the street from a very nice university--it was a nice place to go for a walk. On the other hand, the surrounding neighborhood on the other side of the hotel was a little less nice... We didn't feel comfortable leaving anything (even a duffel bag of dirty laundry) in the car. So, that may be something to note when booking your reservation.
