    « Good for our 1 night stay! »

    We stayed for one night while in town for a family funeral. The location was convenient for where we were visiting and the hotel was very easy to get to from O'Hare International Airport despite being closer to Midway. All of the staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very average but we were able to find items to suit us. There were some renovations being done and the rooms could use a little upgrade but the beds were comfortable and rooms were clean. Price was also very affordable.

    Disappointed with the staff, room, and overall experience. They have a lot of work to do to bring this up to an average place let alone something of quality. The TV didn't work, the toilet would run every 5 minutes. The shower rod was broken. The hotel staff didn't seem very motivated to help fixture or make the experience any better than when the issues were addressed. I wouldn't recommend a stay at this locat

    The Hotel was nice and Clean but i was there for business and it was during the World Series so some of the other guests did not respect the the other guests and were loud one call to the desk took care of the issue.

    Very convenient to the airport this hotel could stand some fresh paint and better breakfast. Rooms were clean.. One person in our party had to change rooms because of the smoke smell... Breakfast was EXTREMELY sparce. They had not received, for some reason a reservation for a second room for our party... Currently they are expanding the breakfast room and need to greatly expand the menu... This was a VERY basic hotel.

    I am staying here right now. I checked in yesterday 09/30/16 and thank goodness I check out tomorrow! I waited 25 minutes to check in and then stayed in a room overnight which smelled of urine. And today when I complained, I had the pleasure of meeting Theresa (Hotel Mgr) who is abnoxius, nasty and almost as disgusting as this hotel. She insisted that the room did not smell of urine, even when her own maid said that it did. She used a very loud, nasty tone with me and was rude. I also hurt myself on a piece of broken gym equipment (which I made hotel staff aware of) and no one put up a sign or anything so the next guest can possibly get more injured than I did. I travel a lot and have never experienced anything like this. I and my wife called corporate customer care (spoke to Nicole and Amanda). This was nothing but a waste of our time. They apologized and said that they were documenting everything, but were unable to do anything about this disaster, at this time. I do believe that when traveling we can encounter problems but I have grown to expect hotel management to be able to deal with problems in a professional and curtious way. And if they do not, usually a professional corporate manager is able to step in and handle the situation. BEWARE OF THIS HOTEL!!!!

    My wife and I enjoyed a nice nights stay at Best Western near Midway Airport instead of the much higher prices near the loop. Our Chicago outing was very enjoyable, partially due to the savings by staying at this nice motel.

    I hope this hotel continues to make improvements beyond the construction near the lobby. I believe they are overdue for upgrades to in-room appliances and furnishings. This hotel was quiet despite its close proximity to the Midway Airport.

    This particular room needed much more attention to details, because of a ceiling repair near the entrance of the room. They most of have had some sort of water leak @ some point. It was patched / repaired, but black mold was forming near the seam of where the ceiling meets the wall. The room should have been a finish product before having guests (my family) check in.

    This is a very convenient place to stay, lots of parking and safe. Well situated for a variety of places to eat. The hotel price is very reasonable. The rooms are very clean and well stock. Breakfast is ok. Lots of carbs though and coffee taste like instant, no half and half.

    I was really disappointed that I was given a room with a leaky ceiling and mold all around the leaks. I was not transferred to another room nor was I comped what so ever. Not even offered. I had to deal with the constant flow of water and dripping in my suite.

    My comforter smelled like urine. I didn't have enough towels and was told by front desk I needed to come to front desk to get my own. I asked for a fridge and microwave and was never told they weren't available. I had to call to follow-up on if and when it would be brought to room only to find out they didn't have any. Poor customer service. The room wasn't the cleanest and was more on the expensive side given the accommodations. I would not return next time I'm in Chicago.

    Cost was much less than other airport hotels and offered comfort and convenience. Great staff who arranged for morning taxi service and gave wonderful restaurant recommendation. I had an error with my bill that was corrected promptly and emailed to me.

    « Bed Bugs and Musty Room »

    When we entered the room there was a musty strong odor. The AC had not been turned on and it seemed like no one had entered the room for a very long time. The room across the hall from us had a bed bug infestation. I have had to take measures to ensure my luggage and belongings do not bring the bed bugs back to my home with me. There was hair in the bathroom from someone else. The pillows were mangled and could barely be considered pillows. The fitness center had two machines and one of them was broken. This hotel is overpriced for what it is and should be considered a motel.

    I would say the other reviews are pretty accurate. This hotel is definitely very outdated and not the cleanest. The pool is closed for renovations as everyone else was saying but that didn't really bother us very much. The front desk was friendly and overall helpful with anything we asked them. I thought the neighborhood felt very safe. If I ever come back to Chicago paying extra to stay downtown is definitely worth it!

    « Will cancel Reservation b4 you arrive »

    They cancelled my reservation even though I called them at 6 pm to advise them I would be arriving late. Found out I had no room reserved when I arrived and night clerk did little to help find me another room 4 the nite. This is Chicago, it isn't easy to find a room at 4 am. The next day when I spoke to the manager about a reimbursement for my out-of-pocket expense, he informed me it was not his problem and refused to reimburse me. Don't stay here.

    As a diamond member of Best Western, I've made the decision based on this stay to use another hotel for business travel. Loud, inconsiderate, drunken thugs shouted down the hallway's at 1 AM. Wave after wave of these people continued until almost 2 o'clock in the morning. They continued on to smoke marijuana in their rooms such that it was so thick it woke my children I blame the management staff for allowing these animals into the building Best Western I hope you're reading this this is always been the problem with your hotels you have nice hotels in some areas where the management staff adequately screens these type of people. But another areas the doors are wide-open and there's not a second concern given the business travelers who endure this behavior by those who frequent your business in a transactional and occasional manner.

    Quest should have all the comforts as close to Home as Possible when away from Home. This can make for a enjoyable and restful trip away on Business or Pleasure. Breakfast can be better and space is limited, not a lot of room.

    Flew in late from CA and didn't want to drive up to the suburbs at 11 pm. Good and convenient to Midway airport. It is located on the other side the the little hill. The area was starting to get a little questionable/uncomfortable.

    We got a good value for our price. The stay was pleasant and the rooms were clean. Service was great. The internet could have been a little better. I need high speed for my work in the film industry. We loved the breakfast in the morning. Especially the waffles. Parking was great considering it is Chicago. It was also close to the Airport and many places to eat.

    I booked this hotel for a single night stay right before an early morning flight out of midway airport. It was cheap and offered continental breakfast, so that's all I needed. I think that Chicago area hotels are very expensive, because for the amount paid, I've stayed at much better hotels. My room was clean, but the hotel is old and does not look well maintained in the lobby. The air-conditioning is loud and the washroom piping made a lot of noise at night. The positive is that the room is spacious and the staff is friendly and helpful

    We wanted a place close to Midway airport and chose this Best Western. The blankets included a foam layer that I couldn't quite figure out. The room was clean but there was an an area on the wall about 8" X 9" which had been patched but not painted. The morning breakfast was simple but satisfactory. The front desk staff was nice but I would choose another location next time as the price was just too high for a room that was only ok.

    It needs to be renovated very bad when I open the door to my room it smells very musty and still the bathroom sink was practically falling off you should not just run the water and it goes down it went down very slow which left gunk in the sink the staff was very rude and did not accommodate whatsoever they put the coffee machine in the bathroom with the coffee machine is old and outdated why would you have it in the bathroom the vending machines were practically empty like if you have a hotel full of people why when your vending machine to be stoked with snacks the pool will not open I asked why they said because it didn't get any business who doesn't come to a hotel and wants to swim maybe if you update your hotel and make better accommodations maybe you will get more business and have a better attitude towards our guests because we are paying you to stay in your facilities not the other way around and this is my first time in Chicago I wish I would have stayed somewhere else.. was told there was a pool. I get there and it is closed. Dirty towels, hair all over them, dirty sink, shower cold water and a/c hot!! I am going to fight for a refund of some sort if I don't receive one..

    A group of us traveled to Chicago for a family wedding. We all checked in 4 rooms total. At 3am one of our group went to the front desk to report being bitten by bed bugs. They told him they would need proof that it was really bed bugs and they'd test in the morning. Needless to say he couldn't sleep so he asked to be moved to another room. They told him he could check out. He told them he was there with a group and they weren't having problems he was. In the morning once he told us the situation and showed us the video of the bed bugs our group checked out. Another member of our group reported seeing bed bugs in the picture frame in their room.

    We made our reservations on the Internet and when we arrived, the front desk did not have them in the system. I produced my copy of the reservation and the lovely man at the desk upgraded our room to a Jr. Suite for the same cost of a regular room because of it. To be honest, we usually stay in 4 to 5 star hotels but we selected this place because of it's convenient location in relation to our home and business needs. Our room was clean and comfortable. We had breakfast every morning downstairs. The food was always kept well-stocked and piping hot. I had issues a couple of times trying to connect to the Internet from my ipad and the front desk personnel helped me each time. I had been a little afraid because some of the reviews of this place were not good. My husband and I enjoyed our stay very much and we had nothing but a wonderful experience from start to finish. The staff was so pleasant and each day we returned from our meetings, the room had all ready been cleaned. We are returning again tomorrow to stay for the weekend and most likely will continue to come back.

    Lobby smelled like mildew. Front desk staff was cold and impersonal at 8pm. Once I got onto floor of room, smelled stale. Room which was reserved 3 weeks plus was not cooled down for my arrival and it was 85 ° outside. Bedspread was basically thrown on bed, crooked on one side and wrinkled on other side, as if someone was recently sitting on it or possibly even laying on it. Bed skirt extremely long on one side and short on other side. Carpet was buckled and not vacuumed. Couch cushions were discolored and VERY worn. Second room cleaner, but bathroom shower curtain reeked of mildew, mold around toilet pipes and sink drained so slow that I could not tell if it was actually draining. NEVER AGAIN

    Very noisy hotel. People came in at 11:00pm and made noise and slammed doors constantly until 2:00am. With a flight to catch I had to leave at 5:30 am thus I did not get much sleep. Totally ruined my day. Nothing better than average for this hotel. Couldn't even avail myself of the breakfast because I had to leave before 6:00am Given that this hotel is near an airport, Breakfast should startt earlier. People do have early flights. That is why I rated their service as poor.

    « a great place to stay »

    This hotel located in a convenience area, very closed to Midway airport. It is very closed to some of my relatives for the Memorial day holiday. We thoroughly enjoy their breakfast, very delicious, for a continental breakfast, they offered hot foods and had quite a few variety to choose from. The hotel staffs are very pleasant, they went out of their way to make our stay very enjoyable. We will definitely visit this hotel again.

    A friend and I just finished a stay at the Best Western Midway Airport for 1 night. We had plans around town and were only using it for a bed near the airport. Rates were reasonable and proximity to MDW were the selling points. The convenience to the airport was very good. 10 minutes or so. Only gripe on this was the lack of airport shuttle. I was surprised that a hotel advertising the airport, would not have a shuttle TO/FROM that airport. Not a deal-breaker, but surprising. Unfortunately, that was about the only highlight. He and I are not, by any means, neat freaks or OCD about details, but a few things in a short stay were disappointing. When getting into bed the sheets had black marks all over them. It almost looked like someone wrote with a pencil on it. The same marks were on one of the pillows. Another oddity, when calling down to the office to schedule a wake-up call, there was no front desk button and trying 0 just kept giving a dial-tone. I walked down and asked for the call to which the gentleman responded, "you know you could have just called us." I took the opportunity to advise him his phones do not work. His response to this was to tell me to check to make sure the phone was plugged in. I will say the wake-up call was timely and helpful, just a bit of a rocky process. The hotel is serviceable. If you just need a bed to sleep in before hitting Midway Airport, this would be a fine spot. It is one of the cheapest in the area rate-wise. If you are looking to stay here for pleasure, I would go elsewhere. There was nothing "nice" about the place and the location is a bit rough as well.

    Stayed here one night prior to morning flight and it was a pleasant stay. It's 10 minutes by taxi from airport and we made use of the free parking for a week or less. Cheaper to pay roughly $15 each way than pay for parking at or near MDW. Staff was friendly and helpful. Our room faced Cicero which is very busy and windows didn't do anything to prevent noise.

    While close to this busy airport, the room was very quiet. The facility had beautiful granite counters in the lobby and the rooms, plus the floor on the first floor was also granite. The staff were super-helpful in getting us to and from the airport.

    Just visited this hotel a week ago and was not sure what to expect of the location. It was very quite and convenient to the airport and other airport locations. The staff was very friendly and helpful The hotel was very clean, the beds were comfortable and the bathroom was nice and clean. I am very picky but I was very satisfied.

    Exceptional customer service, good food, and clean rooms. The location is close enough to Midway Airport, yet far enough. The staff were very cordial and helpful, and I think this is a great option if you need to be close to the airport.


    If you are flying into Chicago at Midway Airport this hotel is a great option. The entire staff was very helpful and friendly. The room was quiet at night even though the hotel is located on a commercial street with shopping and dining all up and down South Cicero. My room was spacious and clean, and also had a fridge. The housekeeping staff had my room in immaculate condition upon check-in. If your visit to Chicago does not require any trips downtown I would recommend this Best Western. The hotel also had a gym and the cable package and wifi were above average.

    « Low quality -- high price for the hotel »

    Unfortunately hotel is very dirty! My family had bug bites the next night. The breakfast was of low quality and not very tasty at all. In the bathroom, the ceiling panels were falling out! In general, this hotel was not a good place to stay for the amount it charges.


    Facility needs to be updated - and the only amenity that was worth going for they got rid of. Cliental iffy -- Banquet Hall next door -- so people are very loud in hall ways no respect for other customers. This time of year -- better getting a suite downtown for the same price. Just stayed here out of location convenience.

    We discovered bed bugs in one of the rooms, the other, the heater did not work properly (cold air), and the reset never worked properly, finally had to turn the unit off. We left the morning we discovered the bugs.

    Tops in customer service and quality of experience. The management was very respectful of our wishes and did their best to provide a great overall experience. Give it a try. The rates are reasonable, but check it out.

    We always stay at this location when in the area, probably a total of about 30 times. Good hotel at a very reasonable price, it is in the process of being updated. Nice indoor pool with hot tub, decent breakfast, will save you money from going out.

    « Dirty & extremely used towels »

    I was desapointed by my stay in this hotel I am expecting the same standard in every Best Western that I stay in. Towels were so used that they were grey. Face cloth was torned and stain with lipstick. The fride was all icy. The frame on the wall was cracked . Bed was badly made when I came in it seems taht someone had sit on it . I am very desapointed with my stay I did not get the standard that I expected.

    If you are looking for a hotel that is close to the airport there are better choices. This hotel does not offer shuttle service so be prepared to pay for a taxi if you use them. When you're in your room check the bathroom and under the tables, their cleaning staff does not do a good job of making sure the room is free from previous customers items and they don't remove dirty towels. The internet is not extremely slow, but it's not high speed either. I took this room because of a friends recommendation on price and service but I guess I didn't get the same service that she received. If you are a large family flying in town with lots od baggage do not expect help with bringing your baggage in from the taxi or out to the taxi. If you eat the breakfast not all of the equipment works well, you have to hold the toaster button down to get it to toast.

    hotel is not very appealing. everything is old and dingy. the towels were clean, but not white, had a yellowish appearance. the lighting in the bathroom is poor. (ladies need to put on make-up). overall hotel needs to be renovated. due to the fact it was close to the airport, thought it might be nice. Price was ok. don't mind paying more for a nice place.

    We had points for a free room thru Best Western. We were flying out in the a.m. for our first trip to Jamacia. It was quite a shock when he decided to lay on the sheets after his shower and found the bed to be very cold and wet!!! WET AS IN SOMEONE WET THE BED!! I called the front desk and they said 'they would send someone up to change the bed'. I informed them, 'that would not be enough, that we wanted out of the room!! The "housekeeping supervisor" came to check the room , informed us that "when people have accidents they should inform the hotel". If the room had been changed in the appropriate manner, this would not have happened. It appears, the bed was thrown together, perhaps because it was not very messy. Whatever, the fact remains, we had a urine infested bed. HOW DISGUSTING. WE COMPLAINED AT THE FRONT DESK AND WERE OFFERED NOTHING TO COMPENSATE THIS DISGUSTING OCCURRANCE.

    Our family members experienced several furnishing and service issues during a recent stay. The pool was closed for repair, the room was missing end tables and reading lights, a lost personal item was never found after checkout and calls weren't returned when we inquired.

    This trip was just for 1 night, website advertised a there and no pool, had very upset children. Also cig burn holes in blankest. Something was spladder all over the ceiling, Beds were horrible

    The hotel felt dirty and we had to ask for basic things like towels, sheets and toilet tissue. It is fairly close to the Midway Airport but there is no shuttle service to the airport so you'll have to grab a taxi. It was nice to be able to leave the car there instead of using long term parking at the airport

    « Very good...except for the breakfast »

    Everything was fine. Great staff, comfortable room. Just need to work on bringing up the quality of the breakfast items. Eggs were the pre-made rubbery kind. No quality meat of any kind. Improve the breakfast and you will have my business again.

    « Good basic hotel, but priced too high »

    The staff here are excellent. The hotel itself is about twenty years old, in decent shape, but in a rougher part of town. Rooms were clean, AC worked fine and the TV was decent. Breakfast was provided but was nothing to write home about. If it was priced a little lower it would be a good value.

    after traveling all over for business my wife and I met up here for her birthday! she wanted to stay in the luxury downtown hotels but after all the business trips it just wasn't in our budget . However the room we got here was equal to or better than some of the rooms we've gotten downtown and the staff was so friendly. great experience for the money saved.

    Average hotel with employees that will go out of their way to help you. 3 miles from Midway, but not much going on in the area of the hotel. The desk staff was very helpful, they let me check-in at noon and up graded my room.

    « Worst hotel stay ever »

    We needed to stay economically in Chicago for a week so this seemed like a good deal. Upon arrival we were given one room that looked like someone's painted basement made into a guest room. We asked to be moved and ended up in a room that smelled SO BAD that the stench took on a personality of its own! We think maybe someone died in the room. By the end of the week we had to brace ourselves to enter at the end of the day after staying out as late as possible to spend as little time as possible in it.


    As a Diamond Member of the Best Western Rewards program, I stay exclusively at BWs. I've stayed at One Premier property, a few Plus properties and many standard BWs. I don't know how this one made the bottom grade. While we had no problems at this hotel and did sleep well, I could not help but notice how everything seemed cheap and I'm not describing the price. For 98 bucks a night I tend to want a decent sized towel that will at least cover the full circumference of my 36" waist and hopefully have enough thread to do what a towel is intended to do. These room towels felt like what other BWs call pool towels. Breakfast seemed cheap and uninspiring and still served on Styrofoam tableware. In room coffee was some unrecognizable brand that seemed cheap. The whole property just had that feel of one of those $39.99 interstate motels that you reluctantly stay at only because you are dog tired and your expectations are not real high. For closer to a hundred bucks I expect more and this property should deliver more. With a little more care and attention to detail this could be a nice property and there are plenty of wonderful examples to follow out there.

    « Good value for the area, but... »

    The hotel is fairly close to Midway airport located in an area with a lot of small businesses. A good value considering the criminally high room charges of the other name brand hotels in the area. The hotel is on a busy road so road noise was there but not awful. The room was clean but had a couple things that needed repair. If you're a breakfast eater, don't bother. With the money you save on the room eat a real breakfast elsewhere.
