Best Western Inn & Suites - Midway Airport

Check in was easy, front desk staff was friendly and helpful. Very knowledgeable about local transportation and the area. This was a reasonable option for a close drive to McCormick for a trade show, if you want to drive and park yourself. Room was clean. Bed wasn't the most comfortable. We requested a king-size on the top floor. Instead, we were offered a different type of room on a lower floor. We opted for 2 queen beds on the top floor. Not a lot of hallway noise but the highway (4 lane road) turns into a drag strip at night.

Lots of deferred maintenance. Nice new breakfast area but was grab and go. Friendly, helpful staff. I stay in hotel rooms across the USA and this room is in the lower end of quality and needs help quickly.

I have stayed in many hotels and motels during my lifetime and this Best Western was one of the worst. The room was not sufficiently vacuumed and the rug itself left dirt stains on my socks. The couch was in bad shape with worn surfaces and slight tearing in the cushion seats. The hallways was dingy. The entire hotel, from to to bottom, needs major upgrades or at least a very deep cleaning. At $150.00 a night, for four days, came in just over $600.00. Extremely over priced, considering the neighborhood decline. I definitely WOULD NOT recommend this hotel to anyone.

Staff was helpful, but the service wasn't all that great, our room didn't get cleaned for 3 days, we had to keep getting towels in that time no bed make up or cleaning, when brought to the staff, they stated they were short handed, and Covid, well my wife has breathing issues from the effects of Covid, and we needed the room cleaned it was until the last 2 days of our stay the rooms were cleaned. We have stayed in this hotel before,.and the everything was great, seems to be slipping a little, great location from midway airport l. We're not happy with the service at all for the price.

Great stay, from staff that usually checks us in , Elsa and Abraham, are amazing and always welcome us with smiling face. Rooms have always been extremely clean. They have a small breakfast that is honestly not bad and great for a quick snack on the go! Also a big thanks to Tesh for the great pricing!

No bath mat, facial tissues, shower cap, coffee cup, bath towels (always short), hair dryer, broken iron and iron board, Broken toilet roll holder so toilet paper always falling to the floor, broken iron and iron board look like picked from the trash. Room very dirty all furniture sticky and dirty. I am afraid even sit on the sofa. Toilet not flushing right need to hold handle for a while to flush. The mattress is sinking in the center cannot sleeping at night. The sink is average size but faucet is very short, the faucet only one inch away from sink so after washing you cannot rinse your hand. Over all this motel much worst than Motel 6. The rate $182 per night you can stay at Hilton or Hyatt.

I was at this hotel on 5/28-5/29 I thought the room was nice until I saw a roach crawling on the wall oh hell no!! Went down to speak to the people told them the man who I think is the manager was nonchalant about the situation. the other lady was apologetic she gave me another room. I didn't see roaches but the room was no better. Told them I was calling corporate Monday which I did. I'm not the only one who has complaints. The comforter was old spider webs in the corner whole thing was awful and it was a group trip so they booked the hotel. I personally will never stay there again!!! The day of checkout Isis was very apologetic again I appreciate her in trying to handle the situation and yes I took pictures!!

Had a wonderful time. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Location was great. Hotel was clean inside and outside. Parking was great. We will stay there again. Loved the staff at the check-in counter and even the painter was friendly.

Great place to stay for a weekend if you're looking for somewhere to lay your head during a business trip, touring the city and etc. They have a breakfast bar, fitness center and their housekeeping staff are on point and respectful with their duties. Would most definitely recommend to stay here.

My daughter got married at the Martinique Venue Ballroom and her bridal party including myself and her wedding coordinator stayed at the Best Western because it was very convenient for us, cut down our travel time and made it very easy for us to get dress.

The customer service here was fantastic. Ms. Val and ms. Jen were extremely helpful. This hotel is right by the midway airport. The location was convenient. If your looking for a luxurious hotel this is not the one. This hotel has the basics and the customer service and pleasant greetings from the reps were great.

Been coming to this location since February, and I have to say this is my favorite inn around the Midway area. The rooms are clean, the staff is courteous, and it is located in the heart of a few plazas. Every time I come here Tesh and Sunny and Raj go above and beyond to ensure my stay is perfect. Honestly every hotel needs staff like Tesh and Sunny and Raj.

I would give this hotel 100 stars. I stayed at wood springs burr ridge and midway and both were no good. I decided to stay at the best western midway best decision ever made. At wood springs we paid 455 for a week room smelled like dog and cat piss they charged for towels and had no room service. They had a laundry room but never had change how are u suppose to wash with no change.

Great customer service . And also very great assistance I had no trouble getting my reservations and I had a great time at a nice hotel . Room service is awesome and employees are very helpful . Sunny was very helpful In assisting me .

I stayed at this hotel near the airport and the staff was very friendly. This hotel is a quick ride to downtown or the airport. I really enjoyed the area and my stay was very comfortable. I plan on coming back here in the future.

This place is convenient and the price is right. Granted there are all walks of life coming and going however, management does an great job with making sure you are accommodated. Havent had any trouble with this location. And i have also brought children along for the stay. There are plenty of restaurants and shopping near by as well. !!

BED BUGS! Run from this place! Smoke alarms were covered, the room smelled of pot, now coffe or towels I. The second room we moved into but it did have BED BUGS! We had to leave and when I asked for a refund they gave me a phone number to call.

Every time I visit Chicago I always like to stay at the Best Western. It's in a great location, close to the airport and a lot of restaurants in the area. There's also a lot of shopping you can do within the area of the hotel.

I travel about 100+ days and this was the worst experience I had since the mid-2000s which is when I started traveling 100+ days a year. The Best Western in Akron was nice but the Chicago Midway Best Western was a few steps over a nightmare.

Dirty room, dirty towels, dirty beds, broken lights, non functional phone in the room, drainage problem in sink, toilet sounds weird noise. Overall, horrible experience. Never staying in that hotel again.

This hotel is absolutely disgusting. I was in Room 311 which smelled horrible. We had to open a window and spray cologne to air it out. The funk of the room was overwhelming. The toilet had a stain on it, that I had to clean off. There was only 1 big towel and 1 facetowel in the room. The bathtub looked like it had not been clean. The TV did not work properly, every station had wiggle lines thru it. The people in the room next to us were arguing and fighting, slamming doors. This was worse than a Motel 6. Absolutely disgusting. I am taking my complaints higher than this bc there is no way they should be charging nearly $200 to stay in this crap.

This is the perfect place to stay when jumping in and out of Chicago through midway. It is clean, well kept and inexpensive. You really don't need to go downtown and spend triple or more the price. The workers are super nice and accommodating.

The hotel is in a good location, about 5 minutes from Midway airport. Needs an update thought. Lobby looks like it's been renovated recently, or is in the process of being done. Rooms need some love & attention, both from a cosmetic update perspective and a regular maintenance perspective. Towels should be enough for the number of guests on the reservation.

The hotel was sooo nasty, toothbrush on the floor my the bed. Refrigerator and microwave was dirty, when I reported it the lady came with a towel wipe the elevator door then I told her to change that towel, she was just as nasty as the room..

The only “clean”part of the Hotel was the lobby. Everything else was very dirty. Didn't realize the comforter has blood on the under side until the last night. Good then we never used it during our stay.

Best Western seems to be headed down the path of the Super 8. Years ago they were nice and had great beds and clean. Not so much now, this place is in a bad area, window was open, ac off and the room smelled bad. Hair on the shower walls and bathroom walls, toilet didn't exactly work right. Lobby wasn't a great smell either.

Filthy rooms, horrible smell, Amenities broken in chained to the wall! Dirty beds, visibly dirty carpet, absolutely gross! Water was brown, bathrooms weren't cleaned! Worn down furniture, window was open when I entered the room & torn screen! Smelled of pot! Talked with my employer to remove this hotel from options to stay!

Whenever I travel out of midway, I stay here. It is super easy. The price is great, especially since everything else in Chicago is so expensive. The staff is always super friendly. It is half the price of a lot of other hotels in the area.

I would not stay at that hotel ever again! When I went to bed, as I laid down, I felt something stiff in the bed under the bottom sheet. When I pulled back the sheet, I saw a plastic fork laying on top of the mattress.

I Stay here many times. it's good usually, but not this time just write it off as Covid problems. Most of the times when I stay it's nice worth the money this time I blame it on man power which was probably cut because of Covid. The rooms was not as clean as they usually are but not bad. Due to the Covid I brought my own bedding and Lysol anyway. The staff was still great and friendly I didn't bother to complain to them because it was the holidays. I will still come again.

The shower was dirty, the hotel had no sanitizing wipes or other products to keep the hotel corona free, hotel staff didn't wear a mask, hotel staff didn't require or remind guests to put on a mask, i didn't feel safe there and hotel staff was not at the check in area so I could check in immediately

Every time we have stayed it's been a great experience and the staff always makes us feel welcomed. The rooms are very clean. The location is great because we have everything around us. The WiFi was very accessible and convenient. We will definitely keep coming back when needed.

Breakfast was boiled eggs and coffee, most of the outlets didn't work, if you found a good tv channel, it would play fine one minute than fuzzy next minutes. The carpet was dirty and ripped up. Some of the towels had rips , stains and hair. The freezer broke, I mean one side of the freezer broke, so everything frozen in the refrigerator. We had Ants in the room and bed

The staff could not be anymore friendly and helpful. I am so happy with my stay. I can't wait to stay in there again. Everything was clean. Especially at this time of year I am so glad with everything.

This is the worst Best Western property that at which I have stayed. The hotel had a smell of uncertain origin. The guest room was dark and dank with threadbare bedding. The drapes were barely hanging on and the towels and wash clothes were old and stained. The carpet was old and worn. I was afraid to walk barefoot on the carpet. This property would have difficulty competing with Motel 6.

This hotel needs a FULL renovation. The carpet was filthy. There was dust on the headboards. I reserved 4 rooms for my wedding party. 1 room had an old microwave and mini fridge with scrapes. The ice machine did not work. There was only one ice machine on another floor. The elevator was slow and dirty. The towels were old if you actually had any. I asked for more at the front desk and was told to check back after 8am the next day. I will NEVER EVER stay here again!!

I had a morning flight out of Midway and was looking for a place to stay close to the airport. One factor that got me to stay here was that it was relatively affordable for the area. I found parking was easy, and the check was great, and although the rooms could certainly a refresh, they were spacious, clean and the bathroom was spotless. I didn't use any of the amenities as I went out that night to Chucks' in Burbank for dinner and then headed into Chicago for a few hours. The AC/heat unit wasn't too loud, the carpet was clean, and the wifi signal was very good. I got a good night's sleep in a big comfortable bed and got up the next morning took a hot shower, checked out and went to the airport. No-Fuss, No muss. The hotel has a great location and it's close to malls, restaurants, gas stations and the airport. It was great for a one night stay.

No updated bed sheets. They looked ripped and had burned marks.. pillows were not comfortable... a mini fridge should be in room.. overall customer service was great the room had an odor... air fresheners would fix the issue

Not a great place to stay. Refrigerator froze everything. Curtains covered heater vent. Front desk gave my room number and name to police at 330am because some guy skipped out on his cab fair and came down my hall to escape. Still haven't received my points for my stay

Stay away unless they remodel the entire hotel. Dirty, broken and torn carpets. Stayed on 3rd floor hot water took about 10 minutes. Toilet paper hold left empty. Toilet wouldn't flush, I had to fix myself. Carpet is worn out and splitting at the seams. Breakfast was a joke.

My husband and I decided to stay here for one night before our flight. The outside of the hotel looked renovated and invited. The lady at the front desk was welcoming and nice. But when we got to our room, the previously stated was a facade. The room was a king. The bathroom was spacious but the tub had a crack in it with some type of gunk over it and rust stains. The towels were a dingy color. After seeing the bathroom, I knew the bed linen might be questionable. The table in the room was held together by duct tape. Smh! To sum it up, we slept in the layered clothes we already had on just in case there might be bed bugs or insects of any kind. The next morning we got out of there as fast as we could. Never again!

DISGUSTING!! Bugs in the room. Asked to be moved to another room and RATS in that one. Killed a rat in the room and killed a rat in the corridor. Will never ever stay there again!! Management seems to think that rats in the hotel are fine. When confronted about it they said well it was outside and just ran in. DISGUSTING!!

We had a big party next door and I stay at other Best western in and Chicago so it was an easy choice. They staff was very friendly and helpful was happy to be at work and into the holiday spirit. It helped

We booked this room, kind of last minute. Great hotel, good location. Staff is EXCELLENT - wow!! We certainly will stay here again anytime we are in the area. Glad we found a "go to" place for when we are traveling in the Burbank area.

Hot food breakfast- nice easy stay. This is in a fancy hotel it's a functional nice hotel place to stay when you're in Chicago I want to do a bunch of things we visited family and it was a great close visit to the house that we spent time at. Easy parking easy to get to my room and waking up with a nice hot breakfast makes everything better. This is a good hotel and you should stay there if you need to stay in the Chicago area and not downtown

The staff was great with the entire reservation and check in/out process. However the room was gross... the carpet was old and soiled and did not appear to be vacuumed, not a floor you would feel comfortable walking barefoot on indeed (thank god for shower shoes) we immediately check the bed for bugs but luckily none were present. But that we felt the overall discomfort of the room and the need to check was disheartening. The room smelled musty and moldy, the bed was hard as a board and the bed linens were old and needed to be replaced. The heater was noisy and not very warm. The shower had evident mold around the baseboards and did not feel clean, water pressure was very low as the water did not travel far from the shower head. The shower seat was dirty along the back side as if it had not been cleaned, my mother is wheelchair dependent and so I laid a towel across the seat but when I went to removed it the bottom of it where it touched the seat was covered in black moldy scum. After checking out the hotel staff called to notify me that I had broken a chair that was never used by us and charged me $50. I disputed the charge and the manager credited me 5 days later, after I made a second call and request to credit the charge. I chose Best Western because it HAD a reputation for being a reputable organization and we have stayed in one in Albuquerque near the airport that was immaculate. Apparently, this Midway facility needs some review of standards, as mine and my mothers were not met. I do have pictures of the deficiencies to back up my claims.

DO NOT STAY HERE..YOU HAVE BEEN WARNEDDD!!!Ended up checking out of room 102 at 5 am after only 4 hrs of sleep, only to wake up to bed bugs crawling on me.. male employee came to the room and stated he would report that he killed the 2 bed bugs that were there...there is always more than one bed bug cuz I counted more than 5 before I ran like hell... I'm completely eaten up all on my forehead, hands, arms and back..NO ONE HAS CALLED ME BACK!! only offered the 800 number to get a refund...I'm at a loss due to medical bills, and clothing I had to throw away because I refuse to take it with me not knowing if the bed bugs are there as well...save your money and run!! I wish I had read reviews before booking because several others posted about them..this hotel is infested and needs to be torn down!! Also guys were throwing water bottles out of the second floor room windows, I advised the front desk clerk, she seemed amused and unfazed by the behavior..I will never stay here again...

My husband & I stayed prior to a vacation and did the park, stay, and fly option. It was a great value for someplace close to the airport. You pay for your room & can park for your trip up to 7 days. We knew that there was not a shuttle so we had an uber take us to the airport & a cab take us back upon our return. It still cost less than other hotels doing a park sleep & fly factoring in the cost of transportation. The place was clean. My only complaint was that I had no hot water for my shower. I tried to call to ask about it but no one answered. Since we had a flight to catch I sucked it up & froze. 30 minutes later my husband did have hot water. When I told the person at the desk he said that a lot of workers got up at that time and must have used all the water. Crummy...but had someone answered the phone & told me that I could have tried to wait a bit to take a shower. Not long since again I had a flight to catch, but maybe it would have helped. We would probably stay here again for the value.

I travel a decent amount for work. I have never stayed in a hotel that was this dirty from top to bottom. Garbage that was in the lobby at check in was still in the same place when we left. The elevator floor hadn't see a mop in weeks. The parking lot was more like a dump site. cans, bottles, paper bags and butts everywhere.

If you are just needing a place tto sleep this is your place. If you don't mind a bland breakfast this is your place. My 21 year old daughter was fine with our stay. I , however like a little nicer place to stay.

I always stayed at this hotel and the staff members are helpful and kind but this is my last time because the quality of everything is going down the hill. We asked for two "non-smoking and pet free" rooms and we checked in the first room and had to ask to change to a different one. We had two rooms and we found human hair and nails and blood stains in one room. We also found human hair again, dog hair, used bed sheets, no kleenex in the other room. The breakfast was not the best and flies were all over the breakfast room. Wifi was constantly off and on and I called the front desk. They said they were going to reset it, but nothing changed. People were smoking weed in their rooms and we could even smell it in our rooms. Others were running in the hallway, slamming doors and yelling after midnight. This used to be my favorite location, but I'm definitely not going back.

Location was good. Lady at the front reception was super nice. I would recommend this place to friends and family. Price was also nice with what they had to offer. Free parking but they could do better on continental breakfast. There was no eggs in the menu.

I travel to Chicago often on business. This hotel is convenient to Midway airport. It is a nice place to stay. The staff is super helpful. And, it is a bargain compared to others. It is not too far to get back and forth downtown. They have done some recent remodeling and they did a really nice job.

We pulled back the cover and the sheets & comforter were stained. We had to get sheets from the front desk and go a near by store to buy a comforter and sheets to lay on top of the bed.. NASTY as hell

We checked in late in the evening around 10:00pm on 09/11/19 coming in from out of town for a funeral the next morning. We went straight to bed as we had to get up early the next morning. When I got up I was walking around barefooted and stepped into a sticky black substance on the carpet. I told the check out lady at the front desk about it and showed her these pictures. She said "why didn't you tell us the night before"?. She said they were getting new carpet soon. She didn't offer a refund or discount or anything not being satisfied with the room (210 to be exact). This hotel is dirty and gross. Shady people both on the inside and outside of the hotel.

I stay in hotels four nights a week, in the Chicago Metro area, and this hotel takes first place in the most dirty hotel. The rooms, halls, food service areas,and elevators were gross and needed a very very deep cleaning.

The staff at this location are extremely professional and friendly. You feel like family. We stay here every time we visit Chicago. It is affordable and convenient. I would definitely recommend staying here.

This hotel was below standard it was dirty and the hotel staff did not seem to care and the section of Chicago seemed a little shady and we were pretty nervous about leaving our car overnight. The staff was pleasant enough but they seemed to be preoccupied I'm not sure with what since they didn't pick up in the breakfast area and the elevator was really dirty for the 2 days we were there. We spent as little time here as we could & only stayed because the room was nonrefundable.

We were very disappointed. We had 3 nights reserved, but after the first night, we needed to cancel the remaining nights and go to another hotel in the area. Explanation: We were there because our first grandson was being born at Advocate Christ Hospital with a very serious heart defect. We returned to our room the first night and saw that the toilet had not been cleaned before we checked in. Going to take a late night shower we then discovered over a dozen bugs flying out of the bathtub drain, so we could not take a shower. Since we had to wake up at 4:30 the next morning, we had no time to wait for a resolution, so we just went to sleep. The next morning, we explained our dissatisfaction to the on-duty manager and asked for some compensation. He stated he would not do that since we didn't identify the problem the previous night (see above as to why we didn't). So, we were forced to pay in full for the first night but then cancelled the remaining two nights of our original reservation. We also cancelled our future reservations at that hotel that we would have used when our grandson underwent his first of three open heart surgeries, scheduled for that following Monday (7/1), and booked a reservation at the other hotel we were forced to use this past week.

The hotel is dirty aside from the lobby, and the condescending staff are not helpful. Apparently there's a new policy that a $100 deposit is due at check-in, which we have never experienced on our other stays. The hotel breakfast is a joke, with gogurts and not much else. Didn't have extraordinarily high expectations, but we did expect something better for the price.

Hotel was good. I did go into my room found floss on the floor, opened coffee bags, and hair on my blankets. Staff was fast to correct this and provided new sheets. Cleaned the room, managers were super nice.. staff maybe need some more customer service training. No smiles.

Hotel purposely cancelled my mothers reservation the night before her wedding. We know because customer service told us so. Upon arrival for the next day "Chris" refused to speak with us and called the cops on me and my aunt. Cops even said it was pointless for him being called there. Service was horrific! Towels were dirty. This place just trash. I recommend you NOT go there!

Do not be fooled by the pictures online. The property was not clean, not fresh, not inviting, old, dusty, broken furniture, poor breakfast options and all the front desk agent claimed was that the property was under renovations which appears to be the default response for below standard locations.

We got stuck at Midway unexpectedly due to weather and needed to stay overnight. Found this place on TA and called to see if they had availability (many hotels were booked due to weather delays). Not only did they hold our room until we got there but gave us a deal on price since we were stuck (totally unnecessary since hotels were at a premium). Check in person was super nice and helpful, guiding us to places to buy snacks and drinks close by. Breakfast was included! And it was good quality — eggs and sausage and cereal and waffles and bread and donuts. Lots. Coffee was even good. Room was simple and not new but clean and comfy. Good Wi-Fi.

The carpet was nasty and torned. Ventilation in the room was poor and the place is a dump. I had difficulty flushing the toilet and the towels felt like scrubbing pads. I did not eat their breakfast as the quality was junk.

Entire staff went out of their way to make my stay comfortable and happy. Bed was very comfortable, service was VERY good, and the breakfast had lots of choices. I was in a king suite for 13 days this trip, and I recommend this hotel highly. The workout room has nice equipment, TV, and towels.

Very clean and well kept hotel. Was only about 10 mins away from the airport. The staff was great and accommodating to our needs. I would recommend anyone to also stay here. Close to shopping and restaurants too.

Room not clean, not sufficient towels, towels that we did receive were worn thin. Mattress is deteriorated and pillows are in need of replacing. Will be looking for new establishment on next trip to area in June.

A very nice Best Western, presented all as expected for BW price point. Very accommodating staff upgraded me to a suite without requesting. My only disappointment is that the room did not have a refrigerator or microwave. I don't know why BW is a holdout in this area. Other than that, this is a good place to stay close to Midway airport. The Mattson's restaurant next door is also very good.

Whenever I go to Chicago, I stay at the Best Western. It has nice rooms. It is cheap. And, it is super close to Midway Airport. Everything is more expensive in Chicago, except them. The rooms are always clean. The staff are super nice. They go out of their way to make sure I am happy. Sometimes, I am admittedly picky and fussy. They just smile and give me my way.

Do not stay here. I made the mistake of thinking this would be fine for a very short time prior to flying out of midway. The hotel is dirty and smells terrible. Parking lot did not seem safe, with 'guests' and staff out in the back. Spend a bit more and stay elsewhere.

I enjoyed my stay. I will definently return. The staff was very nice and cared about my stay. They asked questions to see if anything was wrong and if so what they could do to fix it. The breakfast was good too!

Check in was fast and the front desk employee was helpful and courteous. The night desk employee was helpful as well . only negative was one of the pillows on the bed had a funny smell. other than that i had a good night sleep and stay. The lobby decor looks really nice as well. I wish the hours for the complimentary breakfast would be extended to at least 10:30am.

Breakfast lacked quality items, eggs are overdone. Sausage was advertised but was not available 15 minutes after breakfast start time. Lobby was nice. Hallway and room carpet was ripped, needed more frequent vacuuming. Painted over mold in the bathroom shower area. Hair left on back of toilet bowl rim. Tools were stolen out of a work van overnight, was told cameras outside do not record

it was a relaxing stay wonderful atmosphere friendly helpful considerate will definetly stay here again The breakfast was good and variety we enjoyed the family settings cozy relaxing. Wished i had more time would have stayed several more days if possible.

I like to stay at BW at Midway every time when I would be in the area, friendly staffs, convenient location and plenty of delicious restaurants near by to choose from. The room are nice and quiet. Always happy to be there.

The room was not clean, towels were stained, common areas were not clean and food was left everywhere. Breakfast was not stocked and area was disgusting. Toilet was running and faucet dripped all night.

Upon entering, the lobby looks very nice and appears like the stay will be ok. But DON'T let it fool you. This place is a complete sh** show. I was traveling from out of town (Nov 9th-12th, 2018) with my family and stayed here only because my cousin was getting married at the venue next door and this is the hotel that was reserved for the wedding. Otherwise, this would not have been an option. Not so much of anything close to a continental breakfast. Spoiled fruit, smelly/hard bread, broken waffle maker and microwaved eggs. They should not even advertise that they provide breakfast. It gets worse. My sister and I were bitten excessively and realized right before check out that we were bitten by bed bugs! We alerted management immediately and there was absolutely NO urgency. I requested to return to our room to take photos and once I pulled back the layers of sheets there were blood everywhere, large yellow stains and hair from previous guest all over the bed. The manager, Theresa Moy, responded “Oh, the sheets have been cleaned so they are fine and the mattress has a protector on it.” After I pulled back the sheets I asked her to unzip the mattress protector and I discovered about a 6-10in blood stain. Not once did she become shocked at the condition of the bedding nor apologize for our experience. She also initially refused to provide any type of refund. She said she would contact Orkin to come out the next day but scheduled them for Monday 11/19/18 and did not report that she needed emergency service. After speaking with Bonnie at the local Orkin office myself, I confirmed that she kept her original regular service date and did not inform them that a guest had been bitten. I informed Theresa that I spoke to Orkin and she said she did not request it because it would have been an extra fee for emergency service. Crazy right?? Staff was very resistant to give any corporate numbers. We asked for Theresa's boss and she said she did not have one. it was later discovered that there is a general manager and it is her husband, Willie Moy. He still has not reached out to my family in regards to this incident to offer any type of apology. And obviously, it is clear why. After pressing the issue we finally received contact with corporate but they were also of no use. This is beyond just a bed bug complaint; this is a health hazard complaint due to the unsanitary condition of the bedding, bed bug bites as well as hotel policies and disregard for ensuring the health and safety of its guests! Corporate noted that it is up to management to handle the situation. The back office is also poorly maintained and looks like some type of nasty, unorganized storage unit. It appears as though the entire hotel is in shambles. Oh, and don't request a foldaway bed because there was one in the hallway with no bedding and it was completely filthy. Please avoid giving any of your money to this establishment as their customer service is VERY poor and they do not know how to properly manage their disgusting hotel and provide adequate services for their guests. If you want to be exposed to other individual's blood, be my guest. But make sure you check out the proof with my pictures. If I could upload my video, I would.

Not going to ramble on, but if you like bed bugs, cum stains and room that smells musty this is the place for you. My be was damp and I was eaten alive by bed bugs. This is a slum hotel. The breakfast was also awful. I guess if your in a really bad time in your life this place would be a good stay. However one good thing to say about this place is the staff was extremely friendly.

When I travel to the Chicago land area, I'm always looking for a nice place to stay. When I stay @ the Best Western Midway, it puts me in a central location to conduct my business. I'm close to the airport with plenty of restaurants to choose from in the area.

I do business in Chicago several times per month. This place is close by Midway. The staff is super nice. It is easy enough to get downtown if you want to. But, you don't have to pay $250 a night. For me, I would rather stay in the suburbs and spend the money I am saving on a really nice dinner. If you have an early flight, it is really close to the airport.

We found the staff very friendly. Have coffee 24/7 in the lobby is appreciated. The breakfast hours are longer than most. They could offer more of a variety, but did appreciate seeing both egg omelets and hard boiled eggs plus sausage each day. Room was adequate in size, beds comfortable. Having a fridge next to a bed was fine since it was super quiet! We would definitely stay there again.

I was impressed by the quality of service that I received from the very friendly staff. They were extremely accommodating and were willing to help with anything I needed. The area the hotel was located in appeared to be very safe too. Rooms were very clean as well. Hotel serves breakfast and has a cold water machine down stairs for guests.

The employees have been very nice. So, it pains me to write this review. However, the owner, I'm sure is aware of the problems and costs to fix it. With all lights ON, I saw (and videoed) bed bugs. I requested two new sets of sheets, removed the old sheets and placed the pillows (which had the most activity) on the old chair. It was just to late to leave, therefore I laid across the foot of the bed. I played a movie on YouTube thinking that light and sound would scare off any bed bugs long enough for me to get some sleep. About an hour later, I was awake by a very irritating feeling. I had a hug bite on my lower back, my elbow and under my arm. The front desk did provide me with rubbing alcohol. But when I returned to the room, I began to see even more bugs on the bed and literally covering parts of the lower wall behind the bed post. Some comfort was how helpful the front desk attendant tried to help. Yet, I began taking all of my belongings back to the car, and that's where I'll sleep tonight. This hotel, in my opinion, ought to completely close down, remove every stitch of furniture / carpeting, throw away the mattresses and pillows and exterminate this place. Other hotels were booked and I was kinda desperate so I checked in here. However, had I known how terrible this place is, I would have canceled the trip.

About the only positive about this place is the location to Midway. For our room, there was no bar soap, only facial...no shampoo and the shower sings to you as you shower with a high pitch sound. The bedding pillows were small and the duvet, ( this was worthless) moved on us and had to wrestle with that in the middle of the night. The morning breakfast was the weakest of our vacation trip. NO yogurt, they had eggos just laying out and were limpy and damp. The mrs tried the waffle, but when pulled out, parts of the Teflon on the waffle came off with it. There was no attendant working the breakfast as most have. Would not recommend this place to stay again.

Air conditioner was broke, room smelled funny, and staff did nothing to fix it. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone. We were treated like our problems didnt matter to the staff. They were more busy on their phones then helping us.

Close to Midway airport. Although they don't have a shuttle. They got me a cab for 12 dollars. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was good. And the rate was fair. I would stay at this hotel again.

Stayed here 3 nights and that was too long. My friend booked this hotel big mistake I'm never letting her do that again. It was cheap for a reason. Pros: Toilet got blocked and maintenance came right up to fix it.Close to Olive garden and Ihops. Beds were comfy as can be. Staff were attentive and friendly. I spilled coffee in the eating area and it was cleaned quickly she also made sure I didn't burn myself. Cons: Hallways smelled like fumes because they were removing wall paper and painting. Towels were thin and worn out. Not that close to the airport by bus and the buses take long to come. The hotel needs an upgrade. Query sketchy area.

This hotel is just a short drive from the airport but close to a lot. The room was spacious and clean, the staff was friendly and helpful. I would recommend of your looking for a no frills inexpensive, safe place to stay.

I travel to Chicago on business, often. This is always my first choice in hotels. It is close to midway airport and rather inexpensive. Chicago offers many entertainment options. This hotel leaves plenty left in the budget to see the city.

I enjoyed my stay at this best western. The staff was very kind and whole hotel was clean and looked brand new. The location was perfect. The hotel is close to the city and also to the airport, which made our plans very convenient.

I'm in the BW Rewards program, and we are supposed to be recognized and get a 'goodie bag' with maybe an apple, a granola bar, or cookie. Nothing - no recognition when my wife checked us in. I arrived later, and went down to the desk to discuss this. The clerk confirmed that the record showed my Rewards status, and then offered me one bottle of water. Apparently, my wife doesn't count. Try telling YOUR wife that.... The lobby was being renovated - furniture everywhere, some wrapped in plastic, some stacked up. Not appealing. My wife asked for a handicapped room, and the one we got had a slight musty smell to it. The A/C worked, but loudly. I wasn't sure the carpet had been swept in a number of days because there were 'dust bunnies' under the edge of the bed. The bed itself felt firm and turned out to be OK. The bathroom, however, was the issue. A handicapped shower in place, with a cracked surround at one corner, a hand shower that flowed only at a trickle just above a drip, and a fold-up seat whose cushion had separated from the frame and a thick dark layer of mold had formed in the separation. No tissues either, and no bath towels. We thought we could put up with it, however, as we were running late and had to go to our party very shortly after check-in. Back to the front desk. I got a plastic package of tissues and two bath towels. When morning came, we went down to breakfast, avoiding the shower. Served in a small room off the lobby, it was cramped and overflowing with guests at 7:30am. The food was 'standard' - pre-made omelets, heated up, ditto with sausages, a waffle iron and batter, fruit and cereal. Coffee and juice from machines. We found a table and noticed syrup residue on it, which we avoided. Next morning, trying the shower just once, we again went down to breakfast and sat at the same table. Syrup residue was still present. Not appetizing. Not acceptable either. And, just to add to the list, the hotel is about three miles from Midway Airport, but has no airport shuttle service.

The hotel was clean. The staff was friendly and hard working. The breakfast was basic, make it yourself waffles, a variety of breads, sausage, hash, juice, cereal and milk, and the coffee was excellent. We would stay here again.

The room especially 312 has an unpleasant odor that needs to be checked into. Breakfast should be better than what is served else don't serve it at all. Towels are very old and not enough are provided for use. The refrigerator was not workable as it freezed all our drinks and food.

Never again will we stay at a Best Western. We experienced dingy towels, dim lighting, and we had to hunt to find staff. The toilet malfunctioned the morning of our departure, we found out the hard way that a chair was broken--thankfully no serious injuries.

Okay for location to airport. Still costs about $12 for a taxi to the airport, which felt high. NOT a good location for any time spent down town Chicago. Staff was nice, but motel is average only. Breakfast was unappealing.

Great location, great service, great room. I travel ALOT for work. I often go through Chicago. I love the people at the Best Western. It it super close to midway airport. The rooms are nice, the price is super cheap. It is best value in the Chicago area. The competition are way overpriced. The people at Best Western could do the same but, they don't. All I can say is; give them a try. I amuse you will be as impressed as I am.

My boyfriend and I spent the day sight seeing in the bitter cold wildchills of Chicago. Around 9ish at night we checked into our hotel. The night gal was sweet. All was great till we got to our room. Normally I not a picky person, but as you opened the door it felt like you walked into a deep freezer. After along day we just wanted heat. We kicked the thermostat into high geer and patiently waited for warm heat. That never happened. Besides the bitter cold room the bed was missing the warm brown blanket and the sheets looked dirty. The bathroom had a piece of toliet paper unflushed upon arrival and stool itself shook when you sat on it. Also the shower drain was just unassembled sitting there in the tub. To me this looked like an out of order room that accidentally got put back into service. So, within the hour we moved to the next room. The only thing unpleasant about the room is it had like zero water pressure. In the morning there was no bill under our door. Also the breakfast was God awful!!!! The breakfast obviously had not been cleaned in weeks. The food was nasty even the bananas were brown. Thank goodness my kids were not with me. Also I left my expensive sleep pillow in the room and no one has bothered to call me to see if I want it back. This stay was very disappointing and not like the many other Best Westerns I have stayed at.

The worst part about my stay was that there were bugs in my room. We also had broken lamp shades & the sheets did not look like they were changed prior to my arrival. The best part, the staff were all very friendly:

The first room had mold in the shower area. And the second room had condom wrappers on the floor and the bathroom floor had tons of hair on the floor. The location was convenient but I would not recommend this particular one.

I knew it would be an awful night when I was greated at the front entrance with a HUGE rat that ran across the front doors. The inside was under construction which we weren't not informed, upo n making our reservations. Dust & work smells everywhere. I WOULD NOT recommend!

Great place to stay. Problems getting my phone to work. No microwave and refrigerator. Clean and comfortable bed. Quiet to be in the city. Wonderful staff. WiFi may not be strong enough. Would stay again. Will be nice when they are completed with renovation.

Toilet was clogged, which then overflowed, which didn't help getting out of the door for a trade show that morning. The hotel lobby is under major renovations. Wifi didn't connect or establish any signal worth using on any device, phone or laptop. I had overall a very poor experience. I would not recommend to stay at this hotel again after many years of our company staying in this exact location. The quality of the hotel has just deteriorated past the level of keeping the doors open and allowing guests to book rooms....

I was in town to visit friends and attend an event. The hotel was a great location to event, restaurants and airport. Some of the lobby was under construction. Room had a old dusty smell but I the bed was great.

Smelled like cigarettes ... room was atrocious ... broken faucet and shower .. carpet was bubbled up and gross ... one of the beds was caved in ... totally disgusted with every aspect !!! Will never stay here again ... room 312 was a nightmare

This hotel is under construction. Stay away! Hotel staff had a hard time speaking english. They were not helpful. Entire lobby, fitness area and many of the hallways were under construction. Making it difficult to get to my hotel room.

Besides the obvious construction mess in the lobby, this was a nice hotel in a convenient location. Looks like they are updating the entire hotel. Staff was very friendly and the rooms were very clean. I liked that the parking was free, although I was limited to where I could park with my oversized work van. Seemed like a good value at a nice hotel. Will be staying here again.

Was one the cheapest options close to midway and you get what you paid for. Not the cleanest place but acceptable. Had a good night sleep and got to the airport quickly which is what I needed. Don't expect anyrhing high end you'll be ok.

You know when can feel in your gut right away that something is bad news? Well, my entire experience with Best Western was that that. My company booked travel for me, and while I was ending up at a Best Western I had stayed at previously in Monticello, IN I arrived in Chicago late and didn't want to make the drive so they booked me a room here for the night. From the airport I drove by a cluster of hotels in a more well lit, seemingly taken care area, and thought perhaps I had input the address wrong. NOPE. While the hotel is not far from the airport, it's also not close. When I arrived I was already skeptical - the parking lot is small and not particularly well lit and there was an aggressively barking dog behind a rickety fence. I was tired and knowing I was only staying one night didn't seem like making a reservation elsewhere. Inside there was scaffolding and tables / chairs in what perhaps would have otherwise been considered a lobby. In the room the AC was off, as they tend to be more and more to save energy, but result in terribly musky rooms. I could tell right away the room hadn't been updated, likely since the hotel was initially renovated, and it was not the cleanest - quite the opposite. I went to bed thinking 'what could go wrong in the 6 hours I have to sleep before getting on the road?' Answer - BED BUGS. I began my drive the next morning scratching my hand, as if I had a small rash - as the day progress the bites became more visible and a hell of a lot more itchy. My bites at first looked like mosquitos which was my initial thought but then a bed bug revealed itself. I called the hotel later that day to inform them that the room I stayed in had bed bugs and was informed by John that someone was in that room and he hadn't heard any complaints. I AM COMPLAINING! My hands were on fire, I had bites all over the right side of my face and arms that turned from mosquitos to more flea like bed bug bites. My doctor ended up prescribing me a anti-histamine that relieved the desire the scratch but also knocked me out, causing me to lose a days worth of work. Overall I would NOT recommend this hotel.

In the modern day of hurry up and move along; It deserves to be noted when someone stops what they are doing to give you truly great service. Willie Moy goes above and beyond to give great service. I watched him run outside to help an older gentleman help with his bags. I am sure the gentleman would have eventually got his bags out of the car. But, the smile on the mans face was truly heartwarming. Willie Moy makes you believe that there are people out there trying to make the world a better place to live in.

Any time, I'm in Chicago, I stay here. I could always count aon a great room with a great price. The staff is friendly and helpful. The hotel is conveniently located and the breakfast was awesome. There were plenty of varieties to choose from. I will definitely stay here again.

Beds were terrible, water pressure was awful, the room smelled horrible. Will never stay here again! Left the hotel to go get food and come back to 3 cops and a k9 dog on the parking lot, I will definitely will not ever stay here again!

Staff was courteous, but seemed to be limited to one employee. Lobby and rooms were clean. Elevator was slow. Parking adequate.Continental breakfast however was lacking. Selection was too limited and there was no fruit. Overall opinion better than average. I would have selected GOOD, but since that was not an option I selected VERY GOOD.

For the money, hard to beat. Remodeling was underway, but only after 9am and not a problem other than ceiling insulation littered the hallways after hours. Smoke stink in our room one night, clerk could not find the source, but apologized. Very quiet room (401) unless the window was opened and the traffic noise was bad. Nice room, quality furnishings and excellent bed. Lighting was inadequate, but worked fine. We'll stay again.

We stayed here before flying to San Diego for our honeymoon because it was the most cost effective sleep & fly package I could find...next time I will spring for the more expensive option. We had to be given a different room right away because the key card lock was not working. We found roaches in our bathroom in the middle of the night. Water pressure in the shower was extremely poor. Breakfast was of very questionable quality. I'm giving two stars because the staff were really friendly and helped as much as they could, but I'd say just opt for something else.

This is a motel not a hotel. Bad services, bad food, high prices. Poor wifi. I would rather pay more at a hotel close. It may cost more but at least I will get what I am paying for. The room had mildew. Mold in the bath room. The hot water pressure was down. The place was under construction and I was not told.

I would not recommend this hotel, Best Western Inn & Suites - Midway Airport, Burbank, IL to any one to health issue. This is the worst hotel that I have ever stayed in my life, by mistake. It is so close to the airport, so I booked the hotel without reading the reviews. I have stayed with hundred Best Western hotels in the past and I have never seen a super dirty hotel like this one.

Didn't really have any problems during my stay. I stayed during the middle of some renovations so thing like the lobby and some of the other things weren't there. The staff was ok the housekeeping woman I met was really friendly more friendly than those at the front desk.

This motel was under renovation so not the best to look at. It is just an average hotel not quite up to the usual Best Western standard in my book. Ice was hard to find and the staff were not very friendly. The breakfast was average to poor.

Hotel looks ok from the outside, however it is under construction on the inside. The accessible hotel rooms are on the first floor, great, but only have king beds. Very difficult when traveling with parents or as a care giver. A/C did not work well - window was open to room when we arrived into the room. Ice makers are only on the 1st and 3rd floor where the ice maker on the 1st floor did not work. The front desk clerk says that happens all the time. No apology. The front desk clerk also didn't speak to me prior when walking past her multiple times to take things to the car. Clerk and another co worker were busy speaking / looking at magazine.

lots of construction going on inside. didn't have washcloths in the room but the room was clean and the staff was friendly. cant wait to see it when all of the improvements are done. It is located close to Midway airport so the Uber ride was quick and cheap.

The hotel was an average stay. The rooms were average nothing to really complain about but could have had better carpeting for the flooring and comforters for the bedding, Even though construction was going on they could have had the ice machine in the hallway working.

The water pressure is dysfunctional; water trickles out of the shower and sink. Housekeeping provided me with less than a full supply of bath linens, toiletries, and coffee/tea. The breakfast is substandard and not edible.

There was a rat in my room and the room had a terrible odor that Lysol couldn't even handle. I didn't inform staff because I'd had a long day and I didn't want to have to find another hotel that late at night but it was definitely enough to keep me from ever visiting again!

I found this hotel online as a Best Western Member. It's an older building and it was clear they were doing upgrades to the front area. Room was old feeling and I have a Service Dog and the manager had me pull my documentation to prove it which was fine. I just did not get the feeling she was happy about him being there. No ice in the ice machine, wrinkles in the carpet and it was dingy feeling (almost depressing) in my room. Breakfast was not ideal. Very few choices for a low carb diet. The typical Waffles, toast and cereal. No hot meat that day and only boiled eggs. It was "Ehh" over all. I am not sure I could recommend this one. Did not feel warm and welcoming overall and I would not stay there again, even if I had to pay more at a different chain all together.

Don't stay at this hotel, they have roaches and other crawling insects in the bathroom. the breakfast is terrible and you have to get the clerks attention while she's using her cellphone. Best Western have better hotels than this one.

I've stayed in lots of Best Western hotels and have come to expect a certain level of quality. This one fails to deliver. It is on a noisy road and there is a night club next door. People spill out on to the hotel parking lot and hang out. They were still making noise after midnight. We called the front desk and was told there was nothing they could do. The quality of the breakfast was poor. The pastries we're stall.

My room literally reeked of the seventies. The air conditioner cycled on and off all night long. The water pressure in the shower was comparable to a lawn sprinkler. Perhaps the lamest continental breakfast I ever had.

We have stayed at other hotels in this area before and this was by far our worst experience. Toilet was clogged when we arrived. Room was not made up on second day: beds not made, bath not cleaned, no clean towels.

The worst best western we stayed in. Room carpet was dirty, you can hear thru the walls. For $150 with taxes! No airport shuttle. Uncomfortable beds. Really disappointed place. Nothing positive to say unfortunately. Want my money back!

Rooms were just OK. Bed was hard. The stopper in sink was broken. Had to pull it out to keep the sink from filling up. Lighting was terrible. All lamps gave out very dim light, even with all of them lit. This hotel is going through renovations, so the lobby had construction materials in it, as well as there was masking tape on the doors to illustrate the room number. I was disappointed by the quality of the room and hotel for $125 a night. The staff was courteous, but they need better tools to work with to be able to accommodate guests better. If other hotels in the Chicago area weren't more expensive, I would have switched hotels. This was the worst Best Western I'd ever stayed at. I've gotten better pricing and accommodations at Best Westerns in other parts of the country.

My room was clean & comfortable, although there were multiple tiny pillows on the king sized bed - not even regular sized pillows, which was unusual, but fine. The staff was very professional, friendly & helpful. Be aware the back 1/2 of the lobby area is being renovated, so not only are the gym facilities not available, there are no available business facilities. The front desk did offer to make their printer available to print our an airline boarding pass. Other renovations appear to be ongoing also The breakfast needs improvement.

I knew the facility was under renovation, so understand the condition of the lobby and other areas. We had a problem at check-in but the desk clerk took care of it. The beds were comfortable. I would suggest having heavier and larger bath towels.

We booked based on past good experiences with BW. The location in terms of proximity to Midway was not as good as other newer similar chains. The facility was in poor shape. There were signs of new construction, they've got a long way to go. I usually recommend BW, but not for this location.

Theirs no warning before booking about construction in fitness room, lobby, and rooms. The price is the same but you don't get all the amenities . Rooms have masking tape with the number of the room written with a sharpie on it.

There was a lot of construction going on during our stay which, for me, decreased the value received for the price. Had I known about the construction, I would have chosen another hotel to stay at. Service was good. Room as expected except for a drawer that fell apart when you opened it.

Undergoing renovation in the entire building, not just the fitness center as advertised. Rooms are outdated and have more of a motel quality. There are other locations closer to the airport that offer better value.

When I called to make a reservation, I asked if they offered a park and fly. Which I was told yes. I then asked if they had an airport shuttle and again was told yes. So I made a reservation for a nights stay preceding our cruise. But when we arrived at the hotel to check in, we were told NO shuttle and would have to find our own transportation to and from the airport.

Not informed of construction prior to check in. Not many amenities. Poor check in person but manager was helpful. No eating spots near by. No resuraunt or paper provided. Would not use until construction completed.

This hotel is undergoing renovation in public areas (lobby, hallways, etc.). AVOID IT UNTIL IT'S DONE! Safety hazards exist (unfinished tile flooring as we exited the elevator on the 4th floor causing a tripping hazard) and our room was very outdated and unkept, including a very old comforter on the bed (yuck), and a burned out light bulb, rust, and only one towel (despite 2 people reserved for the room) in the bathroom. Would not stay here again (and we stay at BW often). Lots of other hotels closer to the airport (stayed one night before catching an early flight out and this property is 3 miles from MDW). Pros: Breakfast was fine (although missing salt for the eggs) and staff were nice.

I have stayed at this hotel twice. The windows open - my main criteria for staying here. Also...they let me check in early because I arrived early. I really appreciated that as I didn't feel well. Front desk staff very helpful and kind, especially Gertie! Thank you.

Every time I travel to Chicago I make it my point to stay at the Best Western. The staff always provide me with a great customer experience. Its a beautiful area with lots to do. Its also close to the Midway Airport.

Came at the wrong time.... They were remodeling their lobby. Swimming pool wasnt available. Shopping area. Were very convenient. Amc. Was near by.and public transportation was near. Staff was very helpful ...

When you walk in the doing construction dust all on ice machine the website show different pictures the. What the room actually looks like, I paid 140 for a Jr suite I suppose I felt it wasn't worth it

The website did not mention that the breakfast area was under construction. The front desk person was very friendly. The sofa in the room was old and sank in the middle. The leather desk chair was split. The heater was noisy. And I found two bed bugs in the room. I checked out at 3 a.m. and went to another hotel.

When we arrived at the hotel the place is under construction. We had pre-paid for the room so we couldn't get a refund. They have thin wood boards taped together in the walkway to get to the elevator. The service was excellent. Breakfast could have been a little better. We got to our room and had to have the pillow sheets changed out. Housekeeping did come right away and change them. This was the first best Western room where the bathroom was better then the room. It would have been nice to know the building was under construction when booking, especially for the non-refundable price we were charged and getting in and out of the building.

I would never stay at this location again for multiple reasons the biggest one being the apparent drug activity that was going on in the hotel. It smelled of marijuana throughout the hotel in the elevator.The first night we were there the cops were arresting someone for stealing a TV and then desk called us to make sure we had a TV an then came to our room to check it was very strange. We were here for a funeral with small children and this was very disturbing. The next biggest problem was the condition of the room. The bed was clearly broken, blood splatter on the wall by the bed, no screen in the window, window did not lock which was unsettling seeing as how you could tell people hung out on the rooftop located directly out our window and the staff made no attempt to get is something to block the window from opening. The TV remote did not work and the channel listing did not match the actual channels. The Desk chair was broken as well as the little eating table and the chairs for the table were stained so badly we didn't even sit on them. The carpet was stained and clearly not vacuumed. The bathroom walls and shower curtain had mold all over them and towels were all stained. They were doing remodeling in there hallways which is fine but not at 8:00 in the morning right outside our door scrapping the walls. The staff was not friendly and not accommodating i had an issue with my points and they informed if it was taken care until i asked and the woman's response at the desk was "oh your the one with the vouchers" in a very snotty tone as if i was such a bother. They never disclosed that the pool and fitness center were shut down. Housekeeping was also rude when we asked for extra towels we got well here is two you will just have to wait until later now mind you we were trying to get ready for a funeral. I work at a hotel and we travel a lot and i have never experienced such horrible accommodations.

We stayed for one night while in town for a family funeral. The location was convenient for where we were visiting and the hotel was very easy to get to from O'Hare International Airport despite being closer to Midway. All of the staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very average but we were able to find items to suit us. There were some renovations being done and the rooms could use a little upgrade but the beds were comfortable and rooms were clean. Price was also very affordable.

Disappointed with the staff, room, and overall experience. They have a lot of work to do to bring this up to an average place let alone something of quality. The TV didn't work, the toilet would run every 5 minutes. The shower rod was broken. The hotel staff didn't seem very motivated to help fixture or make the experience any better than when the issues were addressed. I wouldn't recommend a stay at this locat

The Hotel was nice and Clean but i was there for business and it was during the World Series so some of the other guests did not respect the the other guests and were loud one call to the desk took care of the issue.

I would not recommend this hotel: dirty room and lobby, front deck staff don't look and act professionally. For fairness, I didn't have any problems during my stay, breakfast was OK. Will not book it again.

Very convenient to the airport this hotel could stand some fresh paint and better breakfast. Rooms were clean.. One person in our party had to change rooms because of the smoke smell... Breakfast was EXTREMELY sparce. They had not received, for some reason a reservation for a second room for our party... Currently they are expanding the breakfast room and need to greatly expand the menu... This was a VERY basic hotel.

I am staying here right now. I checked in yesterday 09/30/16 and thank goodness I check out tomorrow! I waited 25 minutes to check in and then stayed in a room overnight which smelled of urine. And today when I complained, I had the pleasure of meeting Theresa (Hotel Mgr) who is abnoxius, nasty and almost as disgusting as this hotel. She insisted that the room did not smell of urine, even when her own maid said that it did. She used a very loud, nasty tone with me and was rude. I also hurt myself on a piece of broken gym equipment (which I made hotel staff aware of) and no one put up a sign or anything so the next guest can possibly get more injured than I did. I travel a lot and have never experienced anything like this. I and my wife called corporate customer care (spoke to Nicole and Amanda). This was nothing but a waste of our time. They apologized and said that they were documenting everything, but were unable to do anything about this disaster, at this time. I do believe that when traveling we can encounter problems but I have grown to expect hotel management to be able to deal with problems in a professional and curtious way. And if they do not, usually a professional corporate manager is able to step in and handle the situation. BEWARE OF THIS HOTEL!!!!

My wife and I enjoyed a nice nights stay at Best Western near Midway Airport instead of the much higher prices near the loop. Our Chicago outing was very enjoyable, partially due to the savings by staying at this nice motel.

I hope this hotel continues to make improvements beyond the construction near the lobby. I believe they are overdue for upgrades to in-room appliances and furnishings. This hotel was quiet despite its close proximity to the Midway Airport.

This particular room needed much more attention to details, because of a ceiling repair near the entrance of the room. They most of have had some sort of water leak @ some point. It was patched / repaired, but black mold was forming near the seam of where the ceiling meets the wall. The room should have been a finish product before having guests (my family) check in.

This is a very convenient place to stay, lots of parking and safe. Well situated for a variety of places to eat. The hotel price is very reasonable. The rooms are very clean and well stock. Breakfast is ok. Lots of carbs though and coffee taste like instant, no half and half.

I was really disappointed that I was given a room with a leaky ceiling and mold all around the leaks. I was not transferred to another room nor was I comped what so ever. Not even offered. I had to deal with the constant flow of water and dripping in my suite.

My comforter smelled like urine. I didn't have enough towels and was told by front desk I needed to come to front desk to get my own. I asked for a fridge and microwave and was never told they weren't available. I had to call to follow-up on if and when it would be brought to room only to find out they didn't have any. Poor customer service. The room wasn't the cleanest and was more on the expensive side given the accommodations. I would not return next time I'm in Chicago.

Cost was much less than other airport hotels and offered comfort and convenience. Great staff who arranged for morning taxi service and gave wonderful restaurant recommendation. I had an error with my bill that was corrected promptly and emailed to me.

When we entered the room there was a musty strong odor. The AC had not been turned on and it seemed like no one had entered the room for a very long time. The room across the hall from us had a bed bug infestation. I have had to take measures to ensure my luggage and belongings do not bring the bed bugs back to my home with me. There was hair in the bathroom from someone else. The pillows were mangled and could barely be considered pillows. The fitness center had two machines and one of them was broken. This hotel is overpriced for what it is and should be considered a motel.

I would say the other reviews are pretty accurate. This hotel is definitely very outdated and not the cleanest. The pool is closed for renovations as everyone else was saying but that didn't really bother us very much. The front desk was friendly and overall helpful with anything we asked them. I thought the neighborhood felt very safe. If I ever come back to Chicago paying extra to stay downtown is definitely worth it!

They cancelled my reservation even though I called them at 6 pm to advise them I would be arriving late. Found out I had no room reserved when I arrived and night clerk did little to help find me another room 4 the nite. This is Chicago, it isn't easy to find a room at 4 am. The next day when I spoke to the manager about a reimbursement for my out-of-pocket expense, he informed me it was not his problem and refused to reimburse me. Don't stay here.

As a diamond member of Best Western, I've made the decision based on this stay to use another hotel for business travel. Loud, inconsiderate, drunken thugs shouted down the hallway's at 1 AM. Wave after wave of these people continued until almost 2 o'clock in the morning. They continued on to smoke marijuana in their rooms such that it was so thick it woke my children I blame the management staff for allowing these animals into the building Best Western I hope you're reading this this is always been the problem with your hotels you have nice hotels in some areas where the management staff adequately screens these type of people. But another areas the doors are wide-open and there's not a second concern given the business travelers who endure this behavior by those who frequent your business in a transactional and occasional manner.

Quest should have all the comforts as close to Home as Possible when away from Home. This can make for a enjoyable and restful trip away on Business or Pleasure. Breakfast can be better and space is limited, not a lot of room.

Flew in late from CA and didn't want to drive up to the suburbs at 11 pm. Good and convenient to Midway airport. It is located on the other side the the little hill. The area was starting to get a little questionable/uncomfortable.

We got a good value for our price. The stay was pleasant and the rooms were clean. Service was great. The internet could have been a little better. I need high speed for my work in the film industry. We loved the breakfast in the morning. Especially the waffles. Parking was great considering it is Chicago. It was also close to the Airport and many places to eat.

I booked this hotel for a single night stay right before an early morning flight out of midway airport. It was cheap and offered continental breakfast, so that's all I needed. I think that Chicago area hotels are very expensive, because for the amount paid, I've stayed at much better hotels. My room was clean, but the hotel is old and does not look well maintained in the lobby. The air-conditioning is loud and the washroom piping made a lot of noise at night. The positive is that the room is spacious and the staff is friendly and helpful

We wanted a place close to Midway airport and chose this Best Western. The blankets included a foam layer that I couldn't quite figure out. The room was clean but there was an an area on the wall about 8" X 9" which had been patched but not painted. The morning breakfast was simple but satisfactory. The front desk staff was nice but I would choose another location next time as the price was just too high for a room that was only ok.

It needs to be renovated very bad when I open the door to my room it smells very musty and still the bathroom sink was practically falling off you should not just run the water and it goes down it went down very slow which left gunk in the sink the staff was very rude and did not accommodate whatsoever they put the coffee machine in the bathroom with the coffee machine is old and outdated why would you have it in the bathroom the vending machines were practically empty like if you have a hotel full of people why when your vending machine to be stoked with snacks the pool will not open I asked why they said because it didn't get any business who doesn't come to a hotel and wants to swim maybe if you update your hotel and make better accommodations maybe you will get more business and have a better attitude towards our guests because we are paying you to stay in your facilities not the other way around and this is my first time in Chicago I wish I would have stayed somewhere else.. was told there was a pool. I get there and it is closed. Dirty towels, hair all over them, dirty sink, shower cold water and a/c hot!! I am going to fight for a refund of some sort if I don't receive one..

A group of us traveled to Chicago for a family wedding. We all checked in 4 rooms total. At 3am one of our group went to the front desk to report being bitten by bed bugs. They told him they would need proof that it was really bed bugs and they'd test in the morning. Needless to say he couldn't sleep so he asked to be moved to another room. They told him he could check out. He told them he was there with a group and they weren't having problems he was. In the morning once he told us the situation and showed us the video of the bed bugs our group checked out. Another member of our group reported seeing bed bugs in the picture frame in their room.

We made our reservations on the Internet and when we arrived, the front desk did not have them in the system. I produced my copy of the reservation and the lovely man at the desk upgraded our room to a Jr. Suite for the same cost of a regular room because of it. To be honest, we usually stay in 4 to 5 star hotels but we selected this place because of it's convenient location in relation to our home and business needs. Our room was clean and comfortable. We had breakfast every morning downstairs. The food was always kept well-stocked and piping hot. I had issues a couple of times trying to connect to the Internet from my ipad and the front desk personnel helped me each time. I had been a little afraid because some of the reviews of this place were not good. My husband and I enjoyed our stay very much and we had nothing but a wonderful experience from start to finish. The staff was so pleasant and each day we returned from our meetings, the room had all ready been cleaned. We are returning again tomorrow to stay for the weekend and most likely will continue to come back.

Needs to be updated and more staff to help. rooms should be checked overall this hotel met my needs as it was close to the airport , but has a few problems with items not working. I would stay again but only if needing to be at the airport.

Stay was pleasant and staff was helpful. Affordable. Rooms were clean enough. Breakfast was ok. This was a convenient location for our purposes. Wish their pool was useable though. No water was in it... My granddaughter wanted to swim; they said it was closed for repairs.

We were looking for a reliable, inexpensive hotel near Midway Airport; getting in late evening and leaving first thing inn the morning. This hotel filled the bill on all counts. We'd stay there again.

Lobby smelled like mildew. Front desk staff was cold and impersonal at 8pm. Once I got onto floor of room, smelled stale. Room which was reserved 3 weeks plus was not cooled down for my arrival and it was 85 ° outside. Bedspread was basically thrown on bed, crooked on one side and wrinkled on other side, as if someone was recently sitting on it or possibly even laying on it. Bed skirt extremely long on one side and short on other side. Carpet was buckled and not vacuumed. Couch cushions were discolored and VERY worn. Second room cleaner, but bathroom shower curtain reeked of mildew, mold around toilet pipes and sink drained so slow that I could not tell if it was actually draining. NEVER AGAIN

Very noisy hotel. People came in at 11:00pm and made noise and slammed doors constantly until 2:00am. With a flight to catch I had to leave at 5:30 am thus I did not get much sleep. Totally ruined my day. Nothing better than average for this hotel. Couldn't even avail myself of the breakfast because I had to leave before 6:00am Given that this hotel is near an airport, Breakfast should startt earlier. People do have early flights. That is why I rated their service as poor.

This hotel located in a convenience area, very closed to Midway airport. It is very closed to some of my relatives for the Memorial day holiday. We thoroughly enjoy their breakfast, very delicious, for a continental breakfast, they offered hot foods and had quite a few variety to choose from. The hotel staffs are very pleasant, they went out of their way to make our stay very enjoyable. We will definitely visit this hotel again.

A friend and I just finished a stay at the Best Western Midway Airport for 1 night. We had plans around town and were only using it for a bed near the airport. Rates were reasonable and proximity to MDW were the selling points. The convenience to the airport was very good. 10 minutes or so. Only gripe on this was the lack of airport shuttle. I was surprised that a hotel advertising the airport, would not have a shuttle TO/FROM that airport. Not a deal-breaker, but surprising. Unfortunately, that was about the only highlight. He and I are not, by any means, neat freaks or OCD about details, but a few things in a short stay were disappointing. When getting into bed the sheets had black marks all over them. It almost looked like someone wrote with a pencil on it. The same marks were on one of the pillows. Another oddity, when calling down to the office to schedule a wake-up call, there was no front desk button and trying 0 just kept giving a dial-tone. I walked down and asked for the call to which the gentleman responded, "you know you could have just called us." I took the opportunity to advise him his phones do not work. His response to this was to tell me to check to make sure the phone was plugged in. I will say the wake-up call was timely and helpful, just a bit of a rocky process. The hotel is serviceable. If you just need a bed to sleep in before hitting Midway Airport, this would be a fine spot. It is one of the cheapest in the area rate-wise. If you are looking to stay here for pleasure, I would go elsewhere. There was nothing "nice" about the place and the location is a bit rough as well.

Stayed here one night prior to morning flight and it was a pleasant stay. It's 10 minutes by taxi from airport and we made use of the free parking for a week or less. Cheaper to pay roughly $15 each way than pay for parking at or near MDW. Staff was friendly and helpful. Our room faced Cicero which is very busy and windows didn't do anything to prevent noise.

While close to this busy airport, the room was very quiet. The facility had beautiful granite counters in the lobby and the rooms, plus the floor on the first floor was also granite. The staff were super-helpful in getting us to and from the airport.

Just visited this hotel a week ago and was not sure what to expect of the location. It was very quite and convenient to the airport and other airport locations. The staff was very friendly and helpful The hotel was very clean, the beds were comfortable and the bathroom was nice and clean. I am very picky but I was very satisfied.

Exceptional customer service, good food, and clean rooms. The location is close enough to Midway Airport, yet far enough. The staff were very cordial and helpful, and I think this is a great option if you need to be close to the airport.

If you are flying into Chicago at Midway Airport this hotel is a great option. The entire staff was very helpful and friendly. The room was quiet at night even though the hotel is located on a commercial street with shopping and dining all up and down South Cicero. My room was spacious and clean, and also had a fridge. The housekeeping staff had my room in immaculate condition upon check-in. If your visit to Chicago does not require any trips downtown I would recommend this Best Western. The hotel also had a gym and the cable package and wifi were above average.

Unfortunately hotel is very dirty! My family had bug bites the next night. The breakfast was of low quality and not very tasty at all. In the bathroom, the ceiling panels were falling out! In general, this hotel was not a good place to stay for the amount it charges.

Facility needs to be updated - and the only amenity that was worth going for they got rid of. Cliental iffy -- Banquet Hall next door -- so people are very loud in hall ways no respect for other customers. This time of year -- better getting a suite downtown for the same price. Just stayed here out of location convenience.

We discovered bed bugs in one of the rooms, the other, the heater did not work properly (cold air), and the reset never worked properly, finally had to turn the unit off. We left the morning we discovered the bugs.

Tops in customer service and quality of experience. The management was very respectful of our wishes and did their best to provide a great overall experience. Give it a try. The rates are reasonable, but check it out.

We always stay at this location when in the area, probably a total of about 30 times. Good hotel at a very reasonable price, it is in the process of being updated. Nice indoor pool with hot tub, decent breakfast, will save you money from going out.

I was desapointed by my stay in this hotel I am expecting the same standard in every Best Western that I stay in. Towels were so used that they were grey. Face cloth was torned and stain with lipstick. The fride was all icy. The frame on the wall was cracked . Bed was badly made when I came in it seems taht someone had sit on it . I am very desapointed with my stay I did not get the standard that I expected.

If you are looking for a hotel that is close to the airport there are better choices. This hotel does not offer shuttle service so be prepared to pay for a taxi if you use them. When you're in your room check the bathroom and under the tables, their cleaning staff does not do a good job of making sure the room is free from previous customers items and they don't remove dirty towels. The internet is not extremely slow, but it's not high speed either. I took this room because of a friends recommendation on price and service but I guess I didn't get the same service that she received. If you are a large family flying in town with lots od baggage do not expect help with bringing your baggage in from the taxi or out to the taxi. If you eat the breakfast not all of the equipment works well, you have to hold the toaster button down to get it to toast.

hotel is not very appealing. everything is old and dingy. the towels were clean, but not white, had a yellowish appearance. the lighting in the bathroom is poor. (ladies need to put on make-up). overall hotel needs to be renovated. due to the fact it was close to the airport, thought it might be nice. Price was ok. don't mind paying more for a nice place.

We had points for a free room thru Best Western. We were flying out in the a.m. for our first trip to Jamacia. It was quite a shock when he decided to lay on the sheets after his shower and found the bed to be very cold and wet!!! WET AS IN SOMEONE WET THE BED!! I called the front desk and they said 'they would send someone up to change the bed'. I informed them, 'that would not be enough, that we wanted out of the room!! The "housekeeping supervisor" came to check the room , informed us that "when people have accidents they should inform the hotel". If the room had been changed in the appropriate manner, this would not have happened. It appears, the bed was thrown together, perhaps because it was not very messy. Whatever, the fact remains, we had a urine infested bed. HOW DISGUSTING. WE COMPLAINED AT THE FRONT DESK AND WERE OFFERED NOTHING TO COMPENSATE THIS DISGUSTING OCCURRANCE.

Our family members experienced several furnishing and service issues during a recent stay. The pool was closed for repair, the room was missing end tables and reading lights, a lost personal item was never found after checkout and calls weren't returned when we inquired.

This trip was just for 1 night, website advertised a pool...got there and no pool, had very upset children. Also cig burn holes in blankest. Something was spladder all over the ceiling, Beds were horrible

The hotel felt dirty and we had to ask for basic things like towels, sheets and toilet tissue. It is fairly close to the Midway Airport but there is no shuttle service to the airport so you'll have to grab a taxi. It was nice to be able to leave the car there instead of using long term parking at the airport

my hotel stay was just fine , hotel was clean and very quite . Did not have no problems . Hotel is located in a good part of Chicago . did not half to worry about my vehicle . Thank You Theres nothing else to say about this hotel hope who ever reads this finds it helpful

Everything was fine. Great staff, comfortable room. Just need to work on bringing up the quality of the breakfast items. Eggs were the pre-made rubbery kind. No quality meat of any kind. Improve the breakfast and you will have my business again.

The staff here are excellent. The hotel itself is about twenty years old, in decent shape, but in a rougher part of town. Rooms were clean, AC worked fine and the TV was decent. Breakfast was provided but was nothing to write home about. If it was priced a little lower it would be a good value.

after traveling all over for business my wife and I met up here for her birthday! she wanted to stay in the luxury downtown hotels but after all the business trips it just wasn't in our budget . However the room we got here was equal to or better than some of the rooms we've gotten downtown and the staff was so friendly. great experience for the money saved.

Average hotel with employees that will go out of their way to help you. 3 miles from Midway, but not much going on in the area of the hotel. The desk staff was very helpful, they let me check-in at noon and up graded my room.

We needed to stay economically in Chicago for a week so this seemed like a good deal. Upon arrival we were given one room that looked like someone's painted basement made into a guest room. We asked to be moved and ended up in a room that smelled SO BAD that the stench took on a personality of its own! We think maybe someone died in the room. By the end of the week we had to brace ourselves to enter at the end of the day after staying out as late as possible to spend as little time as possible in it.

As a Diamond Member of the Best Western Rewards program, I stay exclusively at BWs. I've stayed at One Premier property, a few Plus properties and many standard BWs. I don't know how this one made the bottom grade. While we had no problems at this hotel and did sleep well, I could not help but notice how everything seemed cheap and I'm not describing the price. For 98 bucks a night I tend to want a decent sized towel that will at least cover the full circumference of my 36" waist and hopefully have enough thread to do what a towel is intended to do. These room towels felt like what other BWs call pool towels. Breakfast seemed cheap and uninspiring and still served on Styrofoam tableware. In room coffee was some unrecognizable brand that seemed cheap. The whole property just had that feel of one of those $39.99 interstate motels that you reluctantly stay at only because you are dog tired and your expectations are not real high. For closer to a hundred bucks I expect more and this property should deliver more. With a little more care and attention to detail this could be a nice property and there are plenty of wonderful examples to follow out there.

The hotel is fairly close to Midway airport located in an area with a lot of small businesses. A good value considering the criminally high room charges of the other name brand hotels in the area. The hotel is on a busy road so road noise was there but not awful. The room was clean but had a couple things that needed repair. If you're a breakfast eater, don't bother. With the money you save on the room eat a real breakfast elsewhere.
