"Pleasant"

The vibe at this hotel was relaxed and welcoming. Our room was clean and quiet, with comfortable beds. We appreciate the microwave and mini-fridge. We never had to wait for the elevator! Breakfast was okay. My only issue was the lighting: no lights at the entrance where the full-length mirror is, and insufficient light at the vanity, especially for applying make-up.

"4th stay here was the worst"

This was my 4th time staying here & it was the worst. The guy who was running the front desk was rude & businesslike. When we got to our room there was mold on the ceiling above the shower, one of the ceiling tiles was pushed back exposing the lines above & a big spider in the tub. There was cigarette ashes in the night stand drawer. My daughter & son in law went to the pool area & saw ants crawling around the hot tub area. When we checked out I inquired about my damage deposit & I was rudely informed that it wouldn't be processed today because it was a holiday. The charge for the room & room damage deposit had already hit my account.

When in Minneapolis /St Paul area we always stay here. Friendly staff, clean, quiet, rooms very comfortable, great beds. Check-in has always been very quick and efficient. Hotel has HOT water, hard to find these days. Great value for the money!

"Manager called the police when customer complained about room"

Manager called the police when customer complained about room. They are triple checking us in it took 15 minutes. Had trouble processing credit cards for multiple persons in the room. The rooms had hair in the bathtub cleaning products left behind in the room. When we went to complain about the state of the rooms a customer was in line in front of us doing the same the manager became indignant When he asked for her supervisor or her supervisors contact information. At which point she called the police on him. She said she felt threatened we were standing right there he was very polite. My brother suggested he leave before the police arrived so that it didn't turn into a dangerous situation for him. My party no longer felt safe to stay there since we are African-American and it was an African-American young man she called the police on.

Rooms are not cleaned plumbing system is horrible staff or not available overall experience negative 0 the rooms would have been much better if they were clean and free of hair and stains from the previous guests

"motorcycle ride"

We stayed here on a motorcycle ride and found this hotel to be very pleasing. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Bathroom was a little outdated but was working fine. Beds were comfortable. The location was great.

"Less than great stay"

I had read plenty of great reviews of this hotel before I booked it. I wasn't expecting a great hotel, but something nice for the few nights I'd be there. Checking in was great. The hotel looked about as I expected. I can say the staff was very friendly and I appreciated them for the whole visit. That is about the best I can say for the hotel. When I first entered the room I couldn't complain much. It wasn't very bright in the room and had limited lighting to fix that situation. Soon I realized that there was a smell to the room. I didn't figure the smell was too bad and I could deal with it. It seemed to get worse the more I was in the room. I realized that the carpet didn't feel comfortable beneath my feet. When I went to take a shower there were black footprints where I had stepped. I figured it was my dirty feet. After my shower I stepped onto the carpet again. Just for fun I walked back to the shower and put my foot on the wet floor. The black footprint was back. My room wasn't cleaned after the first night, but I could handle that if the rest had been better. Closer inspection showed me more areas in the room that indicated a less than healthy environment. My pictures show the dirt (and possibly bacteria) on the curtains and the blob of something gooey on the floor. It was apparent that the cleaning that did happen was enough to say it was clean, but there were obvious areas that were missed and in need of deep cleaning. The workout room was okay, but the treadmill isn't trustworthy. I did a tempo run that should have been equivalent of over 3 miles. The treadmill said it was 1/4 mile. I wanted to pace between a 12 minute mile and a 9 minute mile. I think my 12 minute mile was closer to a 10 minute mile and my 9 was closer to a 7 minute mile. I ended it short and aimed for a 15 min/mile walking pace. That seemed closer to my 12 min/mile. Perhaps it was just the timing of my visit, but the final thing I was looking forward to was the pool and hot tub. The pool was over-clorinated and the hot tub was getting a new hot water heater. Yet again, The pool was okay and I wouldn't be doing more than mentioning it, but it became another thing that missed the mark. Bottom line, this hotel has potential to be a very nice hotel. I don't know if I drew a short stick somewhere or what, but the room I was in set a poor tone and I wasn't getting much luck in other areas either. It's not likely I'll be going back to this hotel.

"Comfortable stay"

When I first walked into the hotel I was disappointed. I had entered their side entrance where you walk past a rooms. When I reached the desk things were much better. The staff is exceptional! The room was beautiful. It is great for the buffet breakfast! It is a very good location. Uber will take you every where.

"Nice Impression"

To be honest, I did not have high expectations of Best Western. I had the impression they tended to be a bit shabby. We chose this hotel because it was available for our late booking in a reasonably convenient location and the price was within our budget. As it turned out the location is quite good - there is a nice restaurant and shopping district just one block away from the hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the room was a reasonable size, clean, with good housekeeping

"I would pass on this one next time"

We checked in and the place did not have a cheery atmosphere. The hallways were dark and our room even darker. Reading in the room was very difficult. We were directed towards the elevators after we checked in. One was out of order. Went to get ice for my warm diet pepsi, ice machine on our floor not working. Had to go to a different floor. Tried to watch TV but the printed TV channel listing did not match up to what was on TV. Called front desk and she said some rooms had new TV's and they couldn't figure out how to configure the channels?? She printed a couple of different listings and said probably one of these would work. One did. The next day we were out until about 5:00 pm. Got back to the room and it hadn't been touched by the cleaning staff. Had to call the front desk (again) for towels. Probably the only good thing I could say about this hotel was that the breakfast was decent. Definitely pass next time.

"Thanks for a great stay"

We stayed two nights with our infant daughter. The hotel was very nice, clean, well stocked with towels, pillows, etc. Breakfast was good, we got there at 8:45 and there was still plenty! Milk was cold, coffee was hot, there was bacon one morning and sausage another. The waffles were amazing. The beds were super comfortable and the employees were all extremely friendly. You could hear from some of the rooms in the hallway, but not inside the rooms. Inside was very quiet. We visit this area once a year and will definitely be back to this hotel! "Full-on Home Run"

A full-on home run for this particular Best Western location. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The water in the shower ran hot for the back-to-back extended showers we took after a weekend of camping. The continental breakfast was delicious, fulfilling, and freshly served. I usually favor Best Western as a brand when traveling due to their reasonable cost and sufficient facilities, but I've had varying experiences due to the independent ownership model that the brand operates by. Here, I can honestly say that all the i's were dotted and all the t's were crossed.

"perfect stay"

I was welcomed to this Best Western PLUS by friendly staff. Giving me a snack bag they told me to go to their pantry and get two drinks and two snacks. It was nice to get what I wanted instead of what someone else chose. The room and bathroom were perfectly cleaned. The bed and linens were clean and comfortable. After a great nights sleep the free hot complete breakfast complemented the perfect stay

Every single employee there was beyond friendly and helpful. The room was clean and very large. The breakfast was probably the best hotel breakfast I have ever eaten. There was a pretty large crowd but the staff kept it clean and fully stocked.

Easy to find location, ample parking. I was impressed by the beautiful grounds, great comfy rooms, and yummy hot breakfast to start the day. The gym had the basics and the pool was great. Most importantly the wonderful staff helped to make our stay enjoyable. I love that no matter what we needed they were there to help out. We will definitely stay here again in the future.

Great place to stay, clean and comfortable Good value for money spent.If there was any thing I would complain about it would be the quality of the breakfast it needs a little bit of quality control the biscuits were really dry and hard scrambled eggs had to wait for a bit to get some and it wasn't really that busy so I think it was just needs more attention in that area

"Just OK"

I picked this room based upon many reviews and have to say I was a little disappointed. The reason we chose this hotel was its proximity to downtown and the reasonable cost to stay along with the fact they had a nice pool and hot tub. Unfortunately the hot tub was one of the main reasons to stay in this location and it was "out of service" for our entire stay. I did mention this to the staff and they did not seem to think it was a big deal. It was a big deal to me but I figured I was locked into my two night reservation, but I guess I should have asked if we could check elsewhere. The room was very clean and we had a balcony which was nice although not much of a view but the staff was very nice. Breakfast was just OK as each time we went there they were out of yogurt and eggs. They did restock them once more people came to eat so we did not go away hungry but it was like they would put a few out at a time and when they were gone put a few more, it was rather strange. Not sure I would book this place again.

This BW was awesome staff was friendly and helpful. But the best part was my wallet fell out of my bag and the staff called me and I was able to retrieve right away. Not one thing was touched. The cleaning lady was singing and smiling so much I started singing. Good to see people who take pride in their jobs and treat people with kindness. Great place to stay.

My stay here was an excellent experience from start to finish. The staff displayed some of the best customer service I've witness. I especially was impressed with morning staff at the continental breakfast area. They were more than polite. I would indeed stay here again if was in the area and I do recommend this location to others.

Our 2-night stay at this hotel was disappointing. The room smelled musty, but seemed clean enough. Unfortunately, the strange little square pillows had full-sized cases wadded up in them and were uncomfortable. The hall carpet and laundry room floor by out room, were very dirty, and never cleaned between Friday and Sunday. The bathroom by the front desk had visible mold by the toilet, overflowing trash can, and a filthy floor. I mentioned it to the desk clerk, and she was not interested, but said she would mention it to housekeeping. The hotel was full of kids, and was very noisy, but quieted down by about 11 PM. This was a convenient place to stay, but I will not be spending $330 to stay there again for two nights.

Great staff that are friendly and extremely helpful! In addition the rooms were very clean, roomy and well apportioned! The handicap accessible rooms with walk in showers were a blessing for my wife and myself because of mobility issues!

The hotel was extremely clean and super modern. The location was small but super accommodating to all the guests. The only critique is the lack of gym facilities. I wish they would have had more clear directions as to how to get to their sister property to work out. I had to drive 20 minutes to the closest 24 hour. Other than that, this hotel is great!

This is the nicest Best Western Plus Brooklyn center I have ever stayed in. It is really pretty and clean. It felt like a higher end hotel. And the location is good! Clean. Nice and easy check in. Staff were great. Easy parking. Good location. Would stay again.

This is the second time I stayed here around the same period in July. Very clean hotel, great service, super comfortable bed. The reason we stayed here is because my husband wanted a balcony. Great choice. You won't be disappointed, very big rooms.

Last minute booked a hotel for a wedding, price was reasonable and the stay was excellent. Friendly staff from the minute you walk in to the minute you leave. Wonderful options for children with the pool/slide! Room was tidy and in perfect working condition! Highly recommend!

We stayed here for two nights. The service and room was great. Rooms were larger than a normal double queen and had a nice little balcony. The only negatives (but not enough to warrant a 4 star rating) were, there was too much chlorine in the indoor pool/hot tub and no mini fridge in the room.

The hotel was easy to find from the highway. There was ample parking available in the front of the hotel. The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. I attended a professional event so I can't speak on the appearance of the hotel rooms.

We where running behind and unforunitly didn't make it to the hotel till about midnight. Lucky we where still able to check in. Breakfest was great and I HIGHLY recommend the breakfast for anybody reading this review. Me and my friends enjoyed are stay for the weekend.

"Unpleasant stay"

We were part of a block with 20 reserved rooms total. Front Desk personnel were rude and unaccommodating to questions barely looking up from their cell phones. One family found black mold in their room, another family room had not been cleaned fully with dirty sheets, one bed unmade, crumbs in the couch and 'unmentionables' found in the bathtub; both moved to another hotel breaking up our group. Breakfast was less than ideal with few choices. The main hotel had no A/C in except in rooms and we were there in July with temps in the 90s. Hallways were dirty, there was a coffee spill inside one entrance with facilities only covering it with a mat and 'wet floor' sign. $138 per night was so not worth it.

Front desk person barely looked up from her phone when we reported the mold and mildew. She said she'd "let management know". I also emailed Best Western, who never got back to me. We had one night off to take the kids for a "stay-cation" and paid $125.00 for this dump.

Enjoyed the visit and service was excellent throughout our 2 night stay. Had a nice variety of breakfast choices to choose from each morning plus coffee 24/7. Amenities in room were nice and had an extra kitchenette that was handy.

Stayed here for 2 nights - Friday and Saturday in mid-June. Outside looks fine, lobby and breakfast area were fine, but hallways were a little dark, and our room felt a little shabby for the price tag. The bathroom is dimly lit, there is no light near the large mirror on the wall (which basically defeats the purpose of having it), and there are no thick curtains, so it's bright in your room from 6am until 6pm - which means my nephew couldn't sleep pass 6am... pool and sauna were nice, but the pool area itself had crumbs on the tables and floor and the towels provided in the pool area are too small to dry anything. Our tv seemed to have a remote that wasn't actually meant for the tv - so we had an HDMI cord and a console with that we planned on playing, but with 3 grown adults, a TV guide, and access to the internet, we could not get the tv or the remote to change the input. It apparently was not an option with the remote provided. Beds were comfortable, room was clean, water pressure and temp were great, and all staff we came into contact with were very nice. WiFi wasn't great, but sufficient for our phones, just not any online play with our console. Good location. We would've been more satisfied with our stay, but for what we were paying, we were expecting more.

I booked this hotel last minute due to a diversion in travel plans. Although the front desk was accommodating when we arrived at 9:30 pm the room we were assigned to was still occupied! So we got the last available room on the first floor. It was mediocre. They did offer breakfast in the lobby the next morning. The hotel was very average but at least we had a place to lay our heads for that one night. It was very convenient to I-94 to begin our travels West in the morning. Ok in a pinch.

We like coming here when we go to the Minneapolis because it offers large, comfortable, pleasant rooms with enough space to relax a little bit. The whole facility is clean and pleasant and welcoming, Just comfortable to be there. the staff we have met are excellent. I observed them assisting people who needed help with breakfast in a warm, compassionate manner. We like to get away from the noise of the traffic and hustle and bustle of downtown.

Stayed here for some meetings in a nearby office building. Rooms were very clean, spacious, comfortable beds and very quiet. staff was friendly and efficient. great location - just off of I-94/I-694 with easy access. Will look for this hotel and more Best Western when booking in the future.

Amazing experience! My little sister got married here and everything was over the top fantastic. The front desk was able to accommodate a last minute room change for us and when we called down for room service in the morning they acknowledge the wedding and offered congratulations. I've thought of staying at this hotel many times before and after staying here I'm not disappointed. The hotel lobby is beautiful, the staff are great, and the breakfast was excellent. That's all on the first floor. My room was clean and spacious. There is a lot of storage for clothes in the room aside from the drawers in the table that the TV sits on. The air conditioning worked great and the mattress was comfortable. I had a good night sleep and woke up refreshed the next morning. That said, the food in the morning was so good that it made my day. I'd stay here again for sure.

My family stayed at this hotel while we were in Minneapolis for Comicon. I liked that the location was close enough to everything in the city, but not right in the middle of the busy part. The room was nice and clean. We swam in the pool and enjoyed that. We got breakfast at the breakfast buffet and the food and service were both great.

A nice hotel. It's located at a convenient location if you need to do something in the downtown area. Free parking. Rooms we nice. We got a free upgrade to a deluxe so that had more space and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We did enjoy our stay and will come back next time.

Even under normal circumstances, I would have been thoroughly impressed with this hotel and staff. It is a comfortable and classy setting, and the customer service is top-notch. Our family arrived after having just been in a horrific rollover accident on the highway; miraculously, no one was seriously hurt, but we were shaken up, sore and in shock. We had to regroup and handle some immediate needs in order to continue our cross-country journey. The management and staff at this location treated us incredibly warmly, going above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. They provided more than what was expected in order to accommodate our needs during a difficult time including free breakfast. Every single person we encountered was sincerely friendly, kind and helpful. Highly recommend this place for cleanliness, classiness and hospitality! Clean and comfortable room.

I really like this hotel it looks and feels, as soon as you walk in the lobby you are greeted by a friendly person at the check in counter. The rooms are comfortable, cozy, soft pillows and fresh bedsheets. I enjoyed the Jacuzzi area and the fact that the Jacuzzi hours are awesome they kept the Jacuzzi open until 10-11 pm so after i come back from work late at night i can get in the Jacuzzi before turning in for bed. The location of this hotel is perfect right across the 694 and 94 highway. i would come back and stay here.

Great location close to Highway 694 , lobby was well lighted and warm, rooms were clean and had newer furniture than I have seen at other Best Western . I loved the pool and Jacuzzi , nice warm water and probably the cleaned I have seen in any hotel. Bed was comfortable with clean sheets and soft pillows .

I am a suburb guy and every so often have to spend an overnight in/near downtown due to work. In the past I have stayed at several different brands but not at a Best Western so Best Western Minneapolis North West was my first stay there and it was amongst one of the best nights I spent. Staff was courteous and helpful, service was great, room comfortable with good amenities and in the morning breakfast was hot and offered plenty of choices. The location is close to downtown and city attractions and unlike downtown hotels parking is free. I really lucked out finding this hotel and would definitely come back.

We recently had a large group of people that stayed at this facility occupying approximately 20 rooms. Had we known we could have NOT even checked in and stayed somewhere else we all would have. Since this was arranged by a 3rd party booking company we thought we had no choice. After the 2nd night we found out that we could request to be moved so we all fled. Not only is the facility in poor condition with old outdated carpet, poor quality mattresses and linens, holes in towels, horrible TV and picture quality, disgusting bathtub, circa 1970 finishings...the place smelled and was obviously a known place for illegal activity. I guess our first clue should have been the security guard that was stationed at the front desk on a Friday night. In retrospect he was probably on the take given the "working women" that passed in front of him. The hallways smelled of marijuana and the comings and goings of interesting guests was probably indicative of the type of activity that was going on in the guest rooms. On Friday night the front desk clerk no showed for work so the maintenance guy had to "fill in". Not quite the image that BW wants to portray. My advice...DON'T STAY HERE. Run as fast as you can to the DoubleTree located right next door. Best Western needs to address this property immediately!

"Disappointing"

I didn't have a good experience at BW Minneapolis North. I have stayed many nights in BW's across the Midwest, so I was expecting this to be similar. The property is nice, but it was very dirty. Wet and dirty floors leading into the reception and elevators. Trash droppings in the elevator and walkways to the the rooms. The guests in the rooms next to mine (a different guest on each nights btw) were loud and noisy. Complained about this to the front desk but she said couldn't do anything about it till 10pm quiet time. In addition, there was always 5-7 people hanging out at the entrance smoking anytime I was going in or out. I observed that many of the guests present were workers traveling in groups, so that explained the noise. However, from my experience, this hotel is not suitable for family or even the solo business traveler looking for some quiet to catch up on work. I do not recommend this hotel to either. On the positive side, the hotel has a very nice pool area and good hot tub, which was surprisingly empty so I took advantage of that. Breakfast was good and the coffee was great.

Tried calling hotel directly 2x and there was no answer. Had to cancel reservation because of impending snowstorm. Called BW customer service and basically told "tough luck." Were going to do a major trip and use BW throughout. This is a deal breaker! Not all customers can use the website when on the road and rely on phone. I did cancel the reservation on line because I have not gone yet. Poor customer service!

"poor handling of rate and discount questions"

We register early with an AARP rate discount requested. On arrival the discount, while acknowledged, had not been applied. I went on line to confirm the rate and found the rate quoted was $14 lower that our confirmation. ($80 vs $94 in confirmation) When requesting of the desk agent we were told in a dismissive tone she could do nothing about the rate. The G.M. need to do it. the following morning the G.M. "Tyrone" was asked. He attempted to understand the transaction on their system but was unsuccessful in gaining that understanding. He ask to some time to look into the situation. We left for the day coming back at 6:30 pm. inquiring of the desk clerk were told the rate on our confirmation was the rate at the time of making and it applied. When questioned about the lower rate quoted on their website and the lack of the AARP discount being applied. Again we were told the GM must handle this. We were leaving very early the following morning , thus unable to have that meeting. Additionally, a $100 cost was added to our invoice to cover potential damage and/or extra cleaning. This rankled each of us, initial by the implied carelessness and secondly by the fact that the decision to refund the "deposit" hinged fully on the housekeeping services opinion. We would have no opportunity to question/discuss the decision except by telephone or other form of communication. We took photos of the room on departure as evidence of its condition and will use them in litigation should it become necessary. Overall. given the seeming lack of consideration and follow through we will be voting with our feet and not return to this location or other related Best Western facilities.

After looking into the issue I believe the confusion with the discounted rate was due to us lowering our rate after you had already booked your room. At the time you had booked your room the rate had been higher, and we had applied the AARP discount against that rate. However, hotel pricing is based on supply and demand , and with reservations being less then expected, our property lowered the rate on-line to try and acquire more business. This is why you were able to see a lower price on-line while staying with us, then you had originally booked for. As an industry, hotel properties do not lower the rates for reservations already booked when this occurs. I apologize for any confusion over this issue. As for the security deposit or incidental hold of $100.00, this is standard practice at most hotels in order to protect themselves from damage done to the property. Again I apologize for the confusion over this issue , it was not meant to be taken personally as all guests of our hotel must meet this requirement.

the hotel is by a group of hotel. so make sure you lock your doors and take belonging out of the car or it might not be there when you go back. has a nice pool area. Breakfast was good, Close to mall area for shopping. Easy freeway on and off. The staff should have a uniform or a dress code.

Usually we prefer BW because they tend to be tidy and a good value. This one was not up to the usual BW standards in my opinion. We didn't get our wake up call which could have caused a problem as we had an appointment early that morning. We lucked out.

This north Minneapolis hotel should be better than it is. Rooms and beds were good but noise level was too high from hums and buzzing and other guests at times. Maybe it was an isolated incident, hard to know. It is a good property, not that old, with potential for a great stay.

I have NEVER been treated so poorly in my 47 years of my life. My daughter booked a block of rooms for her wedding. Website was down, so I called, no big deal (or so I thought). When I called, I introduced myself as the Mother of the Bride. Alonzo was the gentleman I spoke with. He was polite on the phone, however he screwed up. I asked for a room with a jacuzzi/whirlpool tub due to severe back issues. I knew I would need the jets to help alleviate pain since I will be way more active than usual. I also let him know I would like to stay 2 days before and one day longer than was in the block. My husband and I wanted to help with any last minute loose ends. He assured me there will be no problem. And yes, I asked if the price he quoted me was the best price he could do for that room. He put me on a very brief hold and came back with a lower price. I thanked him. I then asked if there was a $100 deposit being charged as well since the Maid of Honor and at least one Bridesmaid were charged that fee. He said since she had enough people booked, they waived that fee. Well... for me and a couple others, not everyone. I also asked when my card would be charged since I prefer to pay in cash at the end, but use the card to hold the room. He said They do not take cash only credit cards. But they will charge the credit card at the end of my stay. Well they did not. They charged my card immediately. I was going to use my debit card instead of my credit card which has a Visa logo and they said no that cannot be used. Fast forward to my arrival. I go to check and it is not the room I requested not to room I was told I was going to get. There is no whirlpool tub the bathroom was extremely small and the whole floor smelled like rotten fish. We were in a hurry due to driving five hours to try and make it to a dinner with my daughter and her future husband. So I didn't say anything at the time. When I did say something Melissa the person at the front desk was very rude and said to me “I am just so tired of this block! I don't care what they do anymore they've been nothing but trouble.” At that point I did get upset and I said excuse me! (Loud, but not yelling)That's not very professional what does that have to do with the hotel making an error. She said well it's new management and we don't have to under any contract but your daughter does even have a contract. My daughter did have a contract I saw it myself. Finally she said whatever I'll give you whatever room you want and make something up to the management. That point friends of mine that were attending the wedding started to arrive. I did not want to cause a scene in front of my friends and my daughters friends. So we switched rooms at around 10:30-11pm. And these sheets had a urine smell! As my daughter the bride was getting her hair done and I was getting my make up done and other Bridesmaids and Maid of Honor were in the room along with the Grandmother of the bride. The housekeepers came in and asked if we needed anything done. My daughter said “I'd like you to make the bed please and can you do the bathroom.?” That's all she said that's all she needed done she didn't walk the photographer or the videographer to have to take pictures by a messy bed or messy bathroom. They said they are at the end of the shift and cannot come back. My daughter offered to pay for them to stay. One of them said they cannot stay past 2pm. (Funny, the next day it was 2:40pm and they had their laundry carts on my floor and were cleaning a room)They told us to get the things off the bed very rudely. The make up artist, starts to remove the few things that were on her bed. The two housekeepers then come into the room with the bed which is (where I happen to be getting my make up done) and look at the bed and said we can't make your bed. We can't get through to make the bed. I knew that was a lie! I'm a plus size woman, I fit with no problems. But they could have even asked us to move the make up chair a few inches, but Instead they would've rather make a scene and call my daughter a bridezilla. I did raise my voice and yell at them, maybe it was not correct but I was very frustrated and very upset that one of them called my daughter a bridezilla who has been nothing but nice to them. I do not know which one called her a bridezilla, but it was one of them! They then looked at my daughter and said we're not going to clean your room you have too much of an attitude. At that point the make up artist and the hairstylist said not to worry about it and they will tell the management about their horrific behavior. We spoke with somebody at the front desk who denied everything and said well the Mother of the Bride and the Bride are surely too anxious to deal with anything right now so of course they're going to be rude. I'm sorry I had to go to a wedding my daughter was getting married I was not going to sit there and argue with the front desk by my daughter is walking down the aisle so I just left. The next day my very good friend who is also a guest came to me and said how dirty their room was there was even a rag in their toilet! How embarrassing for the Bride to tell these guests to go to this hotel and have it be junk and have it smell have it be dirty and have people be rude to them that is very unprofessional and I will Ask them to also post their own review with their experiences as well. The next day I spoke with Sid, at the front desk as I was checking out. He said he was the manager. I tried to speak with him about the issues we had and he said he knew about all the issues and had a talk with the housekeepers even though he doesn't think they did anything wrong. I asked what he was going to do about it and he said he needed time to think about everything to see what he's going to do. That was it! No apology, no nothing. I am so disgusted I will never set foot in Best Western again! I will make sure Everyone I speak to will know about my experience with Best Western. On top of all that the pool had way too much chlorine my whole body itched from head to toe I was on the swim team and used to practically live in a swimming pool! I have never had that problem, I also went to the wedding smelling like chlorine scented perfume! I showered twice and lathered up very well, but the chlorine was too strong. To the hotels defense, I didn't bring up the chlorine issue as it wasn't as important as the other issues. It add this with the rest and it is a big deal. There is one good thing about that hotel - there was a housekeeper named Ronda who came to our room the first night. She was very polite and very thorough. In my opinion she is the only one that should be working at the hotel! Actually, she probably is too good for the hotel. The Guest Relations rep was very pleasant and listen to my complaints for 40 minutes. She created a file and promised to follow up with the hotel. She also gave me points towards another night at another Best Western. While she was awesome, it was not their fault, so I think this Best Western should take responsibility and fix this error. I know there is more negative about this hotel but I'm too frustrated to write anymore I've already written enough.

This place was terrible! First of all my cousin got married this past weekend and had a block of rooms. I Called over a month ahead of time. I needed the room for Thursday through Sunday. I said I was part of the wedding block and asked if I needed to put a deposit down and was told no since it was for the wedding block. The man I spoke with asked what kind of room I wanted so I asked if I could get a room with 2 beds. (My grandma was staying with my boyfriend and I) he told me none were available that all that was availabe was one queen bed and a pull out couch. (Why ask than?) I said ok I guess that will have to do. Fast forward about 1.5 weeks before the wedding I decided to call and confirm my reservation and to see if any 2 bed rooms were available. (My cousin told me the more people that booked the more rooms were added to the block) so i try to call and the phone just rings and no one answers. I think ok, they are busy I'll try again. I call again 10 minutes later, same thing it just rings. So I wait another 10 to 15 minutes and call again and someone picks up but disconnects right away. I call back right away and again someone picks up and hangs up again. I call a third time and get hung up on AGAIN. At this point I ask my boyfriend to try from his phone he calls and someone picks up on the second ring he hands me the phone I say hello twice and what do you know, I get hung up on. I tell my boyfriend to call again and ask to speak to a manager. Someone answers and he asks to speak to a manager please. She said there is no manager what can I help you with my boyfriend then says we have a reservation for the weekend of the 30th and have some questions the woman says well I can help you, my boyfriend hands me the phone and I explain that i called several times and was hung up on and she said no, that didn't happen I picked up and didn't hear anything and hung up once. I said well I called more than 5 times and was hung up on at least 3 times, she than sighs loudly and says what can I help you with? I explain that we have a reservation for the 30th and would like to confirm everything I give her my information and she says that I'm booked for Friday and Saturday night. I explain that I need Thursday as well and asked if any two bed rooms were available as I have a one bed room at the moment. She says that none were reserved but she would give me one and include it in the block. I asked again to be sure, I will not be charged extra, and this will be included for the wedding party? She assured me that it was included. We walk in and there is no one at the desk we wait about 5 minutes and the phone rings someone comes in from the back and picks up the phone doesn't even acknowledge us for about 15 minutes, gets off the phone and says yeah, can I help you.. We go to check in and he says a deposit is needed but will be refunded I tried to explain that I was told that a deposit was not needed since I was part of the wedding I was told I was wrong and figured fine charge it I'm not going to argue I just drove 5.5 hours to get here. We get to our room and it smelled a little off, like old cheese, the toilet paper holder was broken and just resting agianst the wall the one end had sharp edges on it, the faucet in the shower was dripping and I couldnt get it to stop. One of the pillow cases on one of the beds had STAINS that looked to be dried blood.. My grandma didn't want to bother the desk since they seemed to be "busy" so she just tossed that pillow on the chair. We Decided to go swimming and there was so much chlorine in the water that I had a rash for 3 days! My cousin checked into the suite and we were getting our makeup and hair done in her room and the room service came my cousin asked if they would come back in 20 minutes to make the bed and clean up the bathroom they proceeded to say they were off the clock in 10 minutes and weren't able to come back my cousin then offered to pay extra so they could come back again saying no. They said they weren't going to clean the room or make the bed because their were things on it. (The make up artist had a couple supplies on the bed) as the make up artist went to pick these items up. They told my cousin they were not going to service the room because apparently my cousin had an attitude and then one called my cousin Bridezilla. The hair stylist, make up artist, and a few bridesmaids and the mother of the bride ALL heard her call my cousin a Bridezilla. It was brought to the "managers" attention right after the incident took place and he said he doubted that happened and would have a discussion with the staff. So the hotel smells, is falling apart, and besides 1 or 2 staff members everyone working there is RUDE I would highly suggest booking somewhere else if you are in the area

wish I could post a negative number for this hole... The front sesk decided it was more important to argue with another guest while in the middle of checking us in.. The cleaning crew when asked to come back after the Bridal party was done getting ready in about 20 minutes decided that it was a good idea to call the Bride a Bridezilla in a room full of people. When we went to the Manager to tell him this occurred he looked us dead in the face and said No that didn't happen.. (some manager he was wearing skinny jeans a t-shirt and a backwards baseball cap) After we pressed him he said rolled his eyes and said hed look into it. 3 minutes later he came back and said they said they didn't say it.. There were 5 people in that room and the make up artists who also went down to verify this was said.. We were told we ALL were lying. While down in the lobby after this fiasco I did speak to the owner.. Expressed my concerns he seemed to be interested and offered to upgrade our room.. We were leaving for the wedding and politely declined but he pushed the room card in our hand.. We said we really didn't want to and left for the wedding.. When we came back after midnight we couldn't access our old room to get our things to move it to the new room as NO ONE TOLD THE FRONT DESK WHAT WAS GOING ON!! After 25 minutes we finally convinced the front desk to just give us the old room back with all our stuff so we could go to sleep!! NEVER STAY HERE! I haven't even started on the cluster that was making reservations with the block of rooms that were supposed to be for the wedding...everyone paid different prices for the same room and some paid deposits and others didn't... What a bunch of morons!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"Wedding Weekend Disaster!"

I am disgusted with the services I received over this past weekend. 9/29-10/1. I booked a block of rooms off for my wedding back in January of 2017 so save for my friends and family. Coming up closer to the wedding, we started having issues with the website they had set up. For some odd reason, it kept saying error and the block we requested was no longer available. It was down for about 2/3 weeks. They told me to have people just call and request.. I stated to them that some of us needed to book through the website as I have deaf family member and this was the only was they could book. It took them a while for the site to come back up. In the mean time, a lot of friends and family said they would just book somewhere else because they didn't want to deal with the inconvenience of the hotel. So I missed out on the advantage of getting my room free for the entire weekend because the old management wrote up a contract of information and sent it to me. The new management took over and should have honored everything the previous ones wrote up in contract. After I am all booked in and paid for the room, slowly family and friends come in and we all noticed most of them were on the block for my room but it didn't go under my name. So regardless, I had more than enough people book and still should have had my room free! The pricing for everyone was all messed up. Some got charged more than other and less than others. Some also got charged the deposit fee while others didn't. Your staff cannot pick and choose what they want to do. It needed to be the same for everyone. Fast forward to the day of my wedding, September 30th, your rude housekeeping staff do not deserve a job. There are many people who don't have a job who would do theirs with a smile on their face with no issues. The housekeeping staff came in and told me that if I wanted to have my room cleaned, we needed to clean everything off the bed. Sure, no problem. We did so. Then they come back and say "We cannot get around your bed so we will not be cleaning your room." All I wanted was my room cleaned up and the bed made so when my photographer and videographer came in, the memories wouldn't so a mess in the room. The staff started calling me a "Bridezilla" and being rude with not only my family but the hair and make up artists were appalled with the services we received. They stepped in and stood up for me as well. They stated in the many many years they have been doing wedding, they haven't seen crappy services. Afterall, I was paying for the services we DID NOT receive. They kept saying they had 10 minutes and they were supposed to be done for the day.. Not my problem they couldn't finish all the work they had to for the day. Its called being proactive and getting your work done. Not being on the phones and talking to other co workers through the day. Very unprofessional. I even stated I would pay for their time and OVERTIME in cash that I had on me right then if they could just wait 20 minutes and we would get all of our stuff out of the way so there would be NO problems. I should never had to do that, but still requested. After they had an attitude, they walked out of my room saying they will NOT be cleaning my room because we all were rude.. Excuse me, but thats not how this all works. I would NEVER recommend business to this company nor will I ever come back to this hotel. I am in the process of writing the CEO for all the mistakes the company made, until then. Some people need to learn respect. Also, keep in mind, the pool had way to much chlorine in it too. My sons skin was so bothered and family members smelled after two deep showers. Purely dissatisfied! Sincerely -BRIDEZILLA! >:o

The hotel is very affordable and right across the major high ways. Excellent staff. Great room that was clean and comfortable. Large bathroom with a nice shower and high speed internet. The morning breakfast was very luxurious for a low-cost Hotel. Complete with eggs and waffles. Dual Pools and Hot Tubs makes me very happy Group after a long day. Definitely recommended.

"Not a Safe Place"

Best Western's are such a hit or miss. This one is definitely a miss! My room was not safe as the lock on the front door was broken and the door to the patio (which faced the parking lot) had an extremely loose handle because the frame was a mess. When I left the room and tried to get back in, the broken lock jammed the door so I had to ask the front desk. They would get a tool to stick through the door to move the broken part out of the way. I was nervous about sleeping in the room, especially because the smoking area was right outside my patio and there were a lot of people out there all night. These people were also making a lot of noise. In addition to a safety concern, the room and hallways were so dirty. Also, most of the channels on my TV were fuzzy. It was a terrible 6 night stay and am so happy to be home in a clean environment!!

The hotel is located very close to freeway off ram, but quiet at night. I slept well during 3 nights I stayed there. The room is large, clean and functional. The breakfast has good selection, and I really enjoyed the food. There are many shops and restaurants nearby within 10 minutes drive. Ton of free parking in front of the hotel. I highly recommend this hotel to travelers to MN.

Pleasant hotel. Comfortable bed, clean room. Good hot breakfast with good variety of items. Like the cozy and well organized breakfast area. Lobby and bedrooms smells fresh. Very approachable location few blocks away from highway but still very quiet. Very helpful and professional and caring staff, GM helped me to resolved my credit card issue. Kids specially enjoyed the pool area and jacuzzi. Internet speed was good, enjoyed every bid of it.

Check-in staff is very pleasant, professional and knowledgeable. Breakfast was good, nice variety of hot items and well organized. Lobby smells fresh, comfortable bedroom, clean bathroom. Enjoyed the jacuzzi and pool. During Check-in they offered explained the rewards program and upgrades. Great choice of TV channels and high speed internet - best value of your money.

After a long day after meetings and State fair visit, the hotel staff did a really good job, my room was very clean and smelled fresh. Room A/C temperature was perfect as it was very humid. Though this hotel is very close to highway but to my surprise our room was very quite. Internet was good (awesome deal), Breakfast was free and really good especially with express option, which i used on my last day. Rooms were clean, well lighted and fresh bedsheets. Bath room was clean, I did break the mirror (by mistake), which was taken care by the maintenance team (in the morning).

Long time BW customer. They are mostly always a value stay. This one was fine. Good location as a suburb of Minneapolis. Worked out very well for our one night stay to see exhibition NFL game. (Vikings stadium: awesome)

Traveled to Minnesota on business and stayed at the hotel for 4 nights. Nice room with a balcony. Staff was friendly and helpful. Hotel is conveniently located near interstate and about 30 minutes from Mall of America.

Our stay was super. Staff couldn't be more friendly, courteous, accommodating. Clean, fresh smelling when you enter the hotel, the grounds were immaculate, very quiet considering an entire soccer team at the hotel. Rooms were great other than I believe the beds should be updated. Ours was not great at all and it certainly doesn't reflect the hotel on the whole.

Hotel was great but the staff was amazing.. Keira is the best!! Rooms were clean and comfortable, hot tub was perfect. The morning breakfast was a hot egg buisciut and gravy. The hotel itself has plenty to do surrounding it.

This hotel is not quite up to the level of other Best Westerns I've stayed at. It is a bit dingy and needs updating. The stay was not terrible though. Breakfast was adequate and the internet worked fine. The carpeting is the first thing I;d update.

"Filthy!"

This was the most disgusting and filthy facility I have experienced. The rooms smelt, found dried pee on the toilet seats, grime in the tub, and hairs in the bed. I was moved to 4 different rooms trying to find one that was clean. Additionally, this facility is starting to have a mold problem, and the ventaliation system is not sufficient.

I'm happy to say that every time I see at this Hotel it makes me feel at home and everybody treat you with respect and professionalism. The amenities continue to be above the price that you pay. Breakfast the tea options and of course the swimming pool and Gym are always ready to be used. I also want to recognize the front desk for keeping track of they're loyal customers. Thank you again for keeping service at its best. This is highly recommended for anyone that buys it's the Twin Cities.

"Adequate stay"

Check in was easy no hassels. Room was adaquate. Bed was comfortable enough. Only bad thing is the pool is just past the check in counter. The tile floors are always wet from people going from their rooms to the pool. I was wearing flip flops and slipped on the wet tile floor in the lobby to the rooms. Twisted my ankle and foot. They constantly have caution wet floor placards because it's so slippery. Poor design. They should have slip rugs or carpet. Breakfast was ok, they had eggs and potatoes along with the usual continental stuff. Location is very good. Only minutes from the city but in a suburban area, less congested. Seems safer. Recommend this location for the country folks who are not use to city life like I am being from LA California. Or anyone that just wants less traffic. Hope this helps :)

This hotel needs some serious updating. Lot's of things don't work. My TV lost its sound one night. The shower in the other room I was moved to. You couldn't pull the handle down to adjust water temperature. Internet was very slowThe free breakfast was horrible. My reservation was not in the system. I'm a diamond member and I hate to write bad reviews.

We have stayed here a couple of times and we like this hotel. The included breakfast is better than many other places we have stayed, and the fitness room is nice too. Some of the rooms have balconies and they have pet friendly rooms. This time around the set-serve clothes washer was out of service, but other than that our stay was great.

Nice looking on the outside and billed as a Best Western Plus, but walking into the lobby, through the halls and into the room it felt like I was going back in time by 20 to 30 years. Dark dreary lobby, small dark hallway with a dark patterned carpet from yesteryear, room also old depressing hotel colors schemes. It wasn't a bad stay and the room was well maintained, it's just not a place I would stay at again or recommend.

"graduation for the doctor"

This facility was what we expected. It is a converted AmericInn. It was updated and we had two rooms one was a king Suite and it was well kept and extremely quiet. The breakfast was good and the staff was really friendly and professional. I would definitely stay here again.

"A little pricey for the quality of Hotel."

I was in Minneapolis for a couple days of business and decided to book this location as it was quite close to where I was required to work from. I've stayed at many Best Western's but found this one to be quite pricey for the quality of the Hotel. I was asked if I wanted the express checkout which means my hotel bill under the door and an emailed copy as well, but neither was provided. Rooms are a bit outdated and found the beds to be be quite unconformatable compared to those in other Best Westerns.

"Bed Troubles"

Found only a sheet covering the mattress, no mattress pad or other protective layering. Gross and unsanitary! Brought it up to the general manger who apologized and had our bed re-made. Asked if we would give the hotel another try, as that was not the norm, so we did. Bed was AGAIN made with only a sheet over the mattress. New general manager apologized and moved our room. It will be a long time, if ever, we stay at this location.

Overall the room looked very nice. When my husband made the reservation he requested a pack and play or crib for our toddler. This request was not met and resulted in unintended kicking/hitting of the parents head/face while trying to share a bed with said toddler. He made reservations for two nights and even had the multi night discount, but somehow it got changed to one night. Luckily we were able to keep our same room. When talking to the front desk brought up the pack and play and the fact that it was just a sheet on the bed without a mattress pad they said it would be taken care of. When we returned around 10 pm had to call again to get pack and play and mattress pad (although room had been cleaned) did receive this time. Tried jacuzzi and when jets turned on had lots of stuff come out (including one piece of questionable brown clump). Needless to say it was not used. Bed was comfortable though and room spacious.

Nice facility and helpful, professional staff. Enjoyed the room! The desk clerk offered to sign us up for the BW Rewards program upon checkout and saved us even more from the nice rate we had already gotten. This was our second stay at a Best Western Plus and we'll be sure to use them again.

We make regular trips to visit my wife's family in the Twin Cities. The BW in Brooklyn Center is a great place to stay. It is well run, clean and safe. It is located near family locations. This trip we brought two of our grandchildren along (ages 11 and 15). They enjoyed the pool, which was well-maintained. The staff at the hotel is very friendly and helpful.

If use to luxury lines and bath amenities, this isn't it. But for a budget hotel its cleanly with helpful staff and the breakfast buffet is good. Fridge In the rooms. Onsite free parking. Good location for many events in the area as it sold out while we were there.

Hotel was located in a great location. Easy access to major freeways and easy to find. Loved that they are pet friendly. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was hot and cold. There were limited options but enough to please my family.

Went to the cities to get married. Close to everything we need. The rooms large the customer service is top notch very friendly staff from front desk to house keeping. The kids love the pool we use this hotel every time we come to the cities.

My room was very clean and in good condition. The breakfast was ordinary, except for the waffle station. Each night there was loud music emanating from the parking lot (parked cars). One night there was repair work going on in an adjacent room.

Working in Brooklyn Center with a long commute, I stayed here during a snowstorm so I would not have to drive home. It was incredible the level of hospitality I received during my stay. Not only was the front desk staff very courteous, the general manager made sure I was taken care of and introduced himself to me upon arrival. My suite was incredibly clean and neat, and as I was getting settled in, I received a call from the front desk making sure everything was good and asked if I needed anything. The breakfast was great and well kept, with an attendant to make sure all food items were stocked and spotless. For someone in the hospitality business, you noticed the steps taken to enhance overall guest experience, and it was great! This Best Western definitely has my recommendation for accommodations in Brooklyn Center.

On the crossroads of I-94 and 694, and close to Hwy 100. Men at the front desk were all very helpful and gracious. Running out of king-bed rooms, we were given a suite, as were each of two friends we had with us. (We had booked 3 rooms.) I especially appreciate the NON-styrofoam (PAPER--great!!!) cups, plates, etc., at the breakfast and in our rooms. Breakfast was a complete motel-type breakfast with waffles, fruit, instant oatmeal, etc. Price was reasonable--not cheap, but not high. Indoor pool, hot tub, wireless internet, AC, free parking.

Our Pep Band had the opportunity to stay here for two nights for the third year in a row. Each year we have had excellent service from all the staff and have been welcomed. When you enter a hotel with 70 kids and 10 adults and have them all assigned rooms and settled in 15 minutes and everyone is still smiling - that is amazing! Our stay was for two nights and both nights the staff was excellent from the front desk, maids, security, etc. They all had fun with the kids and our kids showed them the respect they deserved, however, the staff showed the kids respect. The Manager asked for our band to perform in the lobby on our last night so the drumline pounded out three sets for all the guests. Not only were we welcomed, we had fun and many laughs ~ Thank you all for the hospitality - we hope to be back soon!

All staff were helpful and courteous, rooms were immaculate and breakfast was fine. The distance form downtown or the Ryder Cup was not a factor. Driving was quite easy. Front desk staff were very helpful suggesting travel routes to take. There were a few places to eat within driving range, none really in walking distance. Beds were excellent!

I travel to Minneapolis Minnesota every week for at least the last 30 yrs. I did not begin staying at the best western but quickly decided it was the best place to stay for my job. The staff is always very kind and a joy to work with. The breakfast is always hot and ready to eat when I am. The staff jumps at the opportunity to make my stay as comfortable as possible. It has become like a second home for me during my weekly trips to Minneapolis. The rooms and entry are always pristine and smell very clean. There has never been a noise problem. Every night has been a very peaceful experience.

This was a very nice hotel for our recent stay in the Minneapolis area. Our stay was during the Ryder Cup activities and hotel reservations were difficult to acquire. We were only able to secure a reservation for 2 of the 3 nights we needed, but the General Manager got involved and found a way to extend our stay for the third night. This saved us from asking to stay at a friends house. We will definitely return to this hotel for our next Minneapolis visit and highly recommend it.

Nice clean hotel. Good facility. Well equipped. Quiet was the name of the game. They did miss doing our room one day and we were missing some toiletries but no big deal. They were helpful at the desk and the breakfast bar was tidy and more than sufficient. Would recommend without hesitation

Easy to access from I94 which is a plus when you are not used to busy freeway driving. The staff was very accommodating and readily available. There was a big party at 4am in the lobby the Friday morning of the Ryder Cup and we never heard a thing, concrete walls! The room was very comfortable and clean; we made use of the fridge and microwave. Good breakfast with lots of food. Very affordable especially during Ryder Cup week. Would definitely stay here again. Thanks to all the staff who were very professional, kind, courteous and gave the best directions ever. I would definitely stay here again.

This hotel is extremely well run. The manager is on top of the smallest details, top to bottom. I would highly recommend this hotel to my closest friends. It is located an easy 30 minutes to the airport and Mall Of America. The room had a small fridge and a microwave. The breakfast was delicious and varied day to day.

TL;DR - Absolutely wonderful visit. Would like to note that the mattresses are firmer than some may like, the pool area closes at 10pm, breakfast is great and goes from 6 to 9am weekdays/6 to 10am weekends, and checkout time is at 11am. I will start off by saying I highly recommend this hotel!!! My fiance and I were attending the Renaissance Festival in Shakopee, MN, but due to the PGA Ryder Cup in town, we had to look to the edges of Minneapolis to find this gem. I called over the phone and spoke to Alfronzo who is the star of our trip. He took incredible care of us, making sure he answered our questions honestly (breakfast items, pool times, etc), and he also assisted us in getting the best rate possible. Upon arrival I was greeted promptly from Alfonzo, and checked in. Parking is spacious and easy enough to get to from the exits. Our room was amazing, it was the executive suite with Jacuzzi. The decor is modern and the room clean and beautiful. The jacuzzi worked well, and there was more than enough hot water to supply our use of it. The bed would be my only change to the visit. My fiance is not fond of firmer mattresses, which this was. I solved that problem by using our own comforter we brought from home and she laid on top of that, needless to say issue resolved. They did provide plenty of very comfortable pillows to lay on. The pool was clean as was the whirlpool. The fitness center I did not use, but had great newer machinery. The complementary breakfast was great! Waffles, yogurt, cereal, egg, sausage, etc. Your basic breakfast, but it was all fresh and hot! Check out here was at 11AM which worked out fine. The general manager was extremely friendly and kind. I wish to thank the entire staff for a wonderful visit, WE WILL BE COMING HERE AGAIN!

We stayed here while travelling cross-country with our pet. Usually we avoid major centers due to the cost and traffic but that wasn't option this time around. So the BW Brooklyn Center is a fine spot with easy on and off exit to the Interstate, very quiet and clean rooms and lots of good food options in the area. There was a slight "funky" odour in the hallways but not in the rooms and it did not affect our stay but was off-putting when we arrived. It's a great place for pets with green space to exercise them. Being former Seattle residents who love a great cup of coffee we found Caribou Coffee about 2 miles away and it reminded us of the Pike Place Market. All in all a solid choice especially for travellers with pets.

When we checked in we were greeted by a wonderful friendly staff who made conversation with us while we checked in. We got to our room and it was spacious clean and quiet. The bed was comfortable. The breakfast in the morning was delicious with a large selection, and the staff was just as friendly at checkout as they were when we arrived.

This hotel was original an Americinn so the rooms are very quiet. I'm a diamond rewards member so they upgraded us to an Executive Suite. A very nice large room with a king bed and whirlpool tub. We didn't use the whirlpool as we were too tired by the time we got to the room. The king bed was very comfy. The breakfast area is a bit small and the selection was a bit below average, but adequite. Our check in went smoothly the person at the front desk was very friendly and helpful as were the other staff we encountered. We didn't use the pool so I can't comment on that. All in all it was a very good over night stay.

We have travelled to numerous cities in the States for ball games and have stayed at various hotels. This particular one we found to be well situated to get to the downtown area for the game and later to get us the Mystic lake Casino. It interior is well set up with a beautiful fireplace, front desk and a sizable breakfast area. The lady overseeing the breakfast certainly takes pride in presentation and cleanness. The outside is well lit and the location easy to find.

We have stayed at this hotel numerous times because of its close vicinity to our daughter's home. We didn't use the pool this time. The bed and pillows are comfortable. We like that the sink and mirror are separate from the tub and toilet. Breakfast and coffee are good!

Got in late had late Check out time. Manger wakes up family to move car. Witch i had already lift in. Then phones 15 minutes later with same request.. Not much sleep for our 6 year old. Will not stay at this place again.

We had an issue at check-in. I worked with the General Manager Saheem to remedy the issue. He treated us with complete respect and compassion. We enjoyed the free breakfast, pool, and clean and safe hotel grounds. Definitely recommend staying here if you're in the Twin Cities!

My wife, mother-in-law & I stayed here two nights. We choose this based on location, price and what they offered. The hotel was full both nights. The breakfast area is somewhat small, so Saturday morning there was no where to sit because of everyone trying to eat breakfast at the same time. Typical hotel breakfast buffet offerings, nothing special but they did keep everything refilled. The room & bathroom were clean. The King size bed was great! Slept very well. Pool area was nice did not use the hot tub. Staff seemed friendly.

"Wonderful staff helped us after house fire"

We had to find an immediate place to stay for our family, which includes 3 dogs after our home caught on fire. This place had room - and welcomed us warmly. The staff was extremely kind, friendly and helpful during the first few difficult days after the fire. Everything about the hotel was nice - but the staff there were world class....nice people!!!!

This property is right off the interstate and very clean and well kept. If you are lucky enough to have Melissa working the front desk when you arrive you experience will be magnified even more. She makes you fell like she is welcoming you into her home. She is so accommodating and attentive to every single need you may have. The motel puts on a super delicious breakfast with a variety of choices to pick from. A great experience all the way around.

Was visiting a family member. Hotel is close to interstate which makes visiting any part of the Twin Cities easy and convenient; only 25 minutes to airport. Lovely, clean, staff helpful. I would stay here again.

I was very happy to have been relocated to this hotel from the dirty Double tree next door. I was welcomed with open arms from the manager Faheem who really put a smile on my face especially with the terrible experience I explained to him that I just received from the Double Tree and the way the staff and Manager lied to my face. Faheem and his staff made my business stay very comfortable and enjoyable. This hotel is equipped with everything in your room and they were very clean. If you need anything the hotel staff are there to make sure you are taken care of. I will be back next year to this hotel and so will a huge group. My daughter & I stayed here for several nights during the process of moving her to Minneapolis for grad school. The location was perfect for us, being very near both Walmart & Target, and just minutes away from a great shopping area with good restaurants. Check-in was easy, and the front-desk person was very friendly and helpful. Our room on the second floor (accessed either by elevator or a sweeping staircase) was clean and well-prepared with mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker, and hair dryer. The beds were very comfortable -- and I especially liked the pillows that were not flat nor filled with down (though perhaps those could be requested if preferred...). The A/C worked GREAT -- in fact, at the beginning of August, we got cold and had to turn it down (and off a couple of times). The shower was good -- the shower curtain, however, would not stay closed due to the shower rod being higher at the ends, I guess...(it was one of those curved rods) -- it would always pull from both ends and sit in the middle of the rod. The curtain wasn't weighted, either -- that might help. As is true in almost every hotel room I've been in, there are no towel rods! I've never understood this. We are often given the suggestion to save our towels so as to help the environment, etc., but we're given no place to hang them except maybe across the top of the shower curtain rod or across the top of a lamp or in the closet... So -- towel rods would be very helpful. Our room was bit dark, which, when it's rainy outside (or it's early in the morning), made it difficult for 2 ladies to put makeup on or do our hair at the same time. Picky points! The room, otherwise, was very comfortable, and I'd stay there again. The breakfast was very nice (though some of the containers on the counter holding some of the breakfast foods like the oatmeal "fixins'" could stand to be either repaired or replaced as they're coming apart). Both mornings I ate breakfast there, the ladies were very helpful. The first morning, the attendant lady was REALLY kind in helping me find out what items were appropriate for my gluten allergy. She went out of her way to find labels with ingredients and grabbing a small one-serving box of Cheerios for me, marked GF on the front. So appreciated!

Even though this is summer family vacation time we got a great nights restful sleep. We did not realize how many children and infants were in the hotel until breakfast and check out. Parents and adult supervisors were all doing excellent jobs to keep the children under control. In town on business and book with the manager as rewards members. We book with him when in the area on business and he gives us a super better than internet deal. He also upgraded our room for us. We were comfortable and had a room we could relax and in.

We were very tired and was able to get the last room available !! We have stayed at 6 BW during our trip and have only great service and rooms with every stay. Hot breakfast was a nice bonus too. A few had 5pm Manager drinks and snacks !

I was in Blaine, MN for business and stayed at the Best Western Plus for two nights. The hotel staff was friendly and attentive. They offer free breakfast and free WiFi. They also have an indoor pool. The breakfast was delicious and the room was quiet and clean. I couldn't ask for more.

The hotel is being renovated so it is not ideal. The property is okay, definitely not a "Best Western Plus" property. We found the staff very helpful which went a long way to improving a 2 or 3 star property.

This hotel was a great location, easy to find. The lobby area was very nice, as were the rooms, and the front desk staff was very helpful, and we were upgraded to a balcony room. Did not have the continental breakfast as we had reservations elsewhere, but it looked and smelled great.

The rooms are really nice in fairly well updated. The facility is well maintained and you get excellent value and a clean nice place to stay at this Best Western. The employees make this hotel better because they try so hard to make your stay even better. I'm very impressed with all of the employees I interacted with during my stay. Good breakfast similar to most hotels, but it was presented just that little bit better which made it seem even better. Has a nice indoor pool an average workout room. But honestly the place doesn't lack anything you need for a nice comfortable stay.

"Nothing fancy, but functional"

Room was clean, breakfast was good. Close to highways. Served its purpose, as I only need a room to work and place to sleep. Intenet speed was solid, so was able to get my work done, and tv channel selection was decent. Minor issue, for me, was 1 channel didn't work on TV...MSNBC, which I watch daily.. What were the odds this would happen? overall, I'd stay there again.

I'm a hard to please traveler when it comes to hotels, but I found this place exceptional. I had a lot of questions upon checking in, and desk manager Melissa provided outstanding information on ground transportation. For some reason, i ended up with a suite, which was very good, a king sized bed that was comfy and a jacuzzi/bath in the room. The free breakfast offered a lot of hot/cold food options, as well as healthy options. Good blackout drapes and exterior noise not an issue. I stay at Best westerns all the time, from NY to San Francisco and this was one of the best.

My wife and daughter were traveling without me which made me nervous. This hotel was booked within two hours of arrival. The popular online search engines were all $110. Called BW direct and it was $85 and they got a free upgrade to a huge room with a hot tub. My family was so happy about the accommodations, friendly service from the GM, and the free morning breakfast. Thanks BW.

I'm proud to say that this property is my home away from home. The staff goes out of there way to my your stay pleasant and drama free. The beds are extremely comfortable and it's quite so getting a good night sleep is very easy. The breakfast is hot and fresh with a nice variety of breakfast staples. Lots of amenities - large warm inviting lobby, clean modern room with large flatscreen TV, big indoor pool and hot tub, very good breakfast included, free paper in the lobby each morning, friendly and very helpful desk staff, and easy close freeway access! Had to look hard to find anything less-than-stellar, could only come up with a very small bathroom sink counter. But that was quite minor compared to all the pluses!

This is my motel of choice when in the area on business or pleasure. They do an excellent job of rewarding loyal costumers. They are also doing an excellent job of updating the motel. I enjoyed the lighting improvements which have added outlets by the bed for sleep aides. I got a very good nights sleep. This was the best value I got for a room on this business trip. This is the best value I have found in the area.

This is a very nice hotel and we like the location because it is close to our daughter's place. The grandkids come and go swimming with us. However, the pool is very, very cold - our only complaint with this hotel. The rooms are clean and very nice, staff is great, and breakfast is very good!!

A very excellent hotel property. Since it was on a Sunday night, with very little hotel traffic, the Hotel offered us an upgrade in our room at no additional cost. The gal at check-in was super friendly, courteous and helpful. A very clean and quiet property. The breakfast in the morning was your typical 'basic motel type' of breakfast. A waffle maker, biscuits & gravey, a few boughten sweet rolls, toast & cereal. It was OK, but nothing to 'write home to mom about'. A very good place to stay for the money. I'd recommend to everyone.

This hotel is clean, comfortable, friendly, and has nice amenities, such as pool, fitness room and hot, healthy breakfast. It is smoke-free and pet-friendly. The rooms are quiet and the bed comfortable. The outlets are handy if you have a C-pap machine.

The staff is unbelievably professional and happy!! I feel like part of the family, they always treat me like royalty and I'm very grateful for their support. I will miss staying at the BW NW MPLS due to my move to Florida, however I recommend it vastly over any other option of hotels. Great service at the best price ALWAYS!!!!!

After swimming we found that we had no hot water to shower. We called the front desk and were told it would be restored with fifteen minutes. We waited 90 minutes, called twice, and ended up going to bed without a shower as it remained ice cold.

The web site was horrible, I tried to rent a room about 12 miles from where we got a room. The web site was unclear it made me feel that I had the right room but then purchased and bam wrong place, no refunds very poor, rude customer service. Ruined our first date overnight in over 8 years!

For just a break from winter cold this was a pleasant and comfortable. the rooms very nice and the outside area was pleasant. Plan to stay there again and get a balcony room. Breakfast was great with many choices of food and beverage. The pool area was very clean. Nearby walking area is great in nice weather. Several restaurants in a mile from site. Easy to access highway.

We stayed here while in town for the NHL Stadium Series and even though we were Chicago fans, the staff treated us great. The hotel is very convenient to the major roads in the area. The room was clean, the complimentary breakfast was great, and I enjoyed the use of the fitness center and pool. If I found myself in the area again, would strong consider staying her again.

I love this property. The comfort of the rooms are fantastic. I really like how quite it is. The breakfast is hot and fresh. The area is very clean and refreshing. I love the amount of space in the rooms especially if I have to work in my room. This property has become my second home once a month when I'm working in the twin cities. The staff if always willing to make sure you have a great stay, they really do go out of there way to help you out. I love this property and I know you will to.

We stayed here while visiting Downtown Minneapolis. First time and absolutely loved it. We usually stay at best westerns just because we've had a good experience with them. The rooms are spacious and the breakfast has a variety. The pool and hottub looked inviting, but we did not use it. We will be back next time in upper Midwest.

The morning shift manager was extremely difficult to deal with. I just wanted a copy of my invoice, which she refused. I thought this was so ruled. When I asked to contact the corporate or headquarters she refuse to give a number to contact. I was told the hotels are individually owned by investors. No worries keep your reward points. I will find another alternative for a good night rest.

This is the second time i stayed here. Its so Quiet I love it! Beds plenty comfy too. Its priced right i think for such a nice location. I did not use the wifi or the pool so i cant rate that. I like that i can just show up and it wont be a problem because i dont know if i will make it there!

Its comforting to find a place to stay that brings a calming and relaxing feeling. This hotel brought all of that, with friendly people who made me feel at home. I checked in at 7:00 pm dead on my feet. I was greeted by person with a friendly smile and was offered a cookie and coffee before I even made it to the desk to ask if they had a room. This desk person had the uncanny ability to see that the days stress had taken its toll on me . It was like all the dirt and grime that was stuck on me by the people I had to deal with all day was washed away, as she came around the desk and actually pointed to where the coffee was and presented me with a server dish stacked with cookies and said grab two. There was a fire burning lively in the fireplace as I looked around the room. The lobby was empty of people. She asked if I would like to sit down for a minute and enjoy a cookie and a cup of coffee, She told me to take my time, I did grab two, I walked up to the desk. Now I just wanted to get to my room. I was waiting to be given the five minute check in speech, but instead she gave me the short version of it stating I can see you want to get to your room I'll make this short and when done she stepped out from behind the desk handed me my room cards and walked to the front doors grabbing me a luggage cart as I was struggling with my over packed baggage. The room was beautiful, the furnishings looked new not all scuffed up like in other places I have stayed with, The towels made to look like shells and swans.It had a big working TV. and a bed that I melted in and was out like a light. Thank all of you I would like to meet each and every person, the GM, housekeeping, maintenance and who who ever else was involved that made my stay awesome and thank them in person, perhaps next time.

Stayed here for 2 nights and everything was great with this place. The breakfast had a nice variety of foods. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Towels were fixed like swans. The staff was very helpful. Would stay here again if in the area.

Everything at this hotel is great. I only stay at this hotel when I'm in the cities. The beds are very comfortable and the breakfast is hot, simple and delicious. There is plenty of parking and it's quite so getting a good nights sleep is very easy. The pool area is inviting and clean. Everything is kept well and it's very inviting to stay there.

This is a smaller property...in a quiet business park/residental area...but close to major freeways. It appears to have at one time been an AmericInn. [The design of the spacious pool area tipped me off. This also told me the building would be very well-constructed...and quiet as those are AmericInn's signature features. Both conclusions proved to be true. From inside our room...we barely heard a peep.] :) It is very well maintained and the decor was cheery and welcoming. We arrived early and we allowed to check in...always appreciated! [We were also granted a later check out.] Our room was a suite with a jacuzzi stand-alone tub off of the bedroom area. It was just my little one and I staying the night...a staycation for us. The room itself had a decent amount of floor space. There was a work desk...a modern pull-out sofa...flat screen TV...coffee maker...mini fridge and microwave. [I believe the fridge and microwave are standard in all rooms.] I was also impressed with how adequate the lighting was...many lamps throughout. The fact that the suite had two windows also contributed to the brightness of the space. I also enjoyed that instead of wall thermostats...they have the mounted wall unit that you can actually control. Everytime we stay somewhere with the wall controls...the air temperature is NEVER right. We really enjoyed the jacuzzi and used it a few times. The jets worked great and we had plenty of room to relax. [Or...play in my little one's case.] I'd say it would comfortably fit two adults. Towels and bedding were of upper quality...plush and fresh. The bed was quite comfortable. My only concerns with the room were: the closet door was...broken? Not sure if it was off its hinges or if parts were missing...but it didn't close properly. Also...there was just one tiny trash can in the room. Being a larger room...one extra would have been helpful. Not a big deal whatsoever as there was a large hallway trashcan just down from our room which we used to dispose of extra stuff. The room was very comfortable and we enjoyed it. The pool area...as I mentioned above...is pretty large. The pool goes from 3' - 5'...with a set of stairs entering in on one end. This is nice for us parents of toddlers who aren't quite big enough to go all the way in yet. The hot tub was also bigger than usual...probably around a 10-person limit? Tables and chairs...and loungers are scattered around and pool towels were available. In the evening...the interior of the pool area is lit with blue lights...same with the outside of the building. Very funky/coolly eerie vibe about it. Breakfast was good...it included the basics [cereals/juice/milk/coffee/tea/yogurt/bread/pastries/make-your-own-waffles/fruits/oatmeals/etc.] and everything tasted fresh. The day we were there they had sausage patties and mini cheese omelettes as their hot items. The area is small...but it is a smaller property so I'm sure it accommodates people fine. Plus...there are two seating areas adjacent to the breakfast area for overflow. The hotel doesn't have an actual restaurant onsite and I didn't notice a whole lot of restaurants in the immediate area. Although...in fairness...I'm not familiar with this area and never asked as we had brought our own dinner/snacks. All staff we encountered were very friendly and chatted with my little one...very sweet. We only saw one front desk girl during our stay [Maria?]...she was phenomenal! I jokingly asked her if she owned the place as she was always around. She addressed me by name and was easy to talk to. Great asset!! The free wifi worked perfectly...no lags/interruptions. There were two guest computer desks in the lobby area. They have a small sundry shop as well as plenty of vending and ice machines--a set on each floor. Overall...this is a beautiful property with a wide variety of room choices. We walked around the halls and noticed several specially plaqued suite rooms...one even noted as a: Presidental Suite. They also offer some rooms that have outside balconies with chairs and a small table. This would be ideal during warmer months. May have to try one of those on our next visit. So yes...I'd gladly return here and recommend it as well. Fantastic hospitality all-around!

I stayed at room 406 with a king bed the first night on Nov 24th 2015.. The room was squeaky clean, what a nice surprise! When I saw the maid, I gave her a nice tip. She deserved it. I transferred to room 413 the next two nights because my son who lives in Minnesota wanted to join me and I needed a room with two queen beds. Night clerk Cali was absolutely fantastic. She transferred me to a room with two queen beds with a big smile and a lovely attitude. The breakfast unfortunately does not match up. Very sparse, and actually pretty awful. At least they provide apples and oranges which was the best part of the breakfast. The hotel has a very nice indoor pool with Jacuzzi, and shower facilities at the pool. I would recommend this hotel especially for families. I met a family with 5 children who actually live in the area. But this was an economical vacation for them. What a great idea. I was there to visit my son and help him move so it worked for me also. But if you want a hearty breakfast, dont count on it. JT

This was our second stay at this hotel during our regular visits to the Twin Cities. Our first was two months ago after another popular chain closed the hotel at which we had stayed for twenty years. The latest visit confirmed our positive experience two months ago. We will be staying here for future visits. I use to stay at this location when it was a different hotel chain, however stopped when it's quality slipped. NOW - it was wonderful under Best Western. Rooms were nice and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast items were standard, but fresh and nicely displayed. If you are staying in north Minneapolis, check out this hotel. I will be back.

We stayed here for a Special Olympics event for my son. the hotel when we checked in was very clean, smelled great, the staff was extremely helpful and fast. The rooms were tastefully decorated with all the amenities needed to make it feel welcoming. The pool area was clean and large. The pool could have been a bit warmer though. Breakfast had a nice variety. Loved that they had all day juice and coffee.

We were in the Twin Cities for a concert and I recently signed up as a Best Western Rewards member so we decided to take advantage of that and try and earn some points. When we arrived to check in the girl at the front desk was very friendly and we even got an upgrade in our room because we are rewards members. We ended up in an executive suite. The room was spacious, very clean and well stocked with towels and toiletries. The room was also very quiet at night and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast in the morning was good, definitely one of the better complimentary breakfasts I've seen. Not just cold cereal and coffee, but there was also waffles and eggs and sausage. Our check out was fast and easy because we opted in for the express checkout. Next time we're in town we'll definitely be back at this hotel.

"Best Bestwestern Plus"

I have been coming to this place since about an year and I can tell you that this is best place to stay in town. Extreme hospitality, Super clean rooms, Awesome Beakfast, relaxing hot tub which all leads to nice and pleasant stay. I always come here with the family and we have always got the warmest welcome.The location very convenient to Downtown msp. All the employees very polite and helpful. Will always stay here whenever we are in town.

"Best Western Best"

Anything I could talk about it has the same answer; Perfect! The only problem was a bad odor in the hallway. The said they were sorry about the odor, and said that it was possibly from the hockey teams that were there for a couple of days. Everything else was perfect.

"Nice bed, but..."

Everything else was blah. King room was nice and spacious. Bed was comfortable. A complimentary bottle of water or soda would have been nice. The worst part of the hotel for me was the limited breakfast choices, the small uninvinting eating space and the weary, tired looking reception area. For the amount charged, I expected a better ambience.

We have been traveling to Minneapolis and St. Paul for the last twenty years. Our regular place to stay had been another well-known brand. They unexpectedly closed and we sought an alternative. We were very pleased with our stay at the Best Western in Brooklyn Center and it will become our new home away fro home. Customer service, cleanliness, amenities and a good breakfast exceeded our expectations.

clean, spacious, comfortable room, adequate breakfast, some hot items, waffle maker, etc, courteous, professional staff, stayed 7 nights, safe surroundings, I recommend the rooms with the balcony, would definitely stay here again..

"Thought we were in Switzerland..."

Really beautiful hotel, like a Swiss chalet. Great check in, not least because the very charming receptionist gave us an up grade to one of the "presidential" suites. Dunno why, and we actually went back to the desk because when we entered the suite we suspected that there had been a mistake. No clue why we should have been given an upgrade, didn't ask for it, could it be that we have a long record of staying at Best Westerns? We would have loved to have stayed longer than one night, but were on a road trip and had a schedule to stick to........"promises to keep, many miles to go before we sleep....."

"Quite Relaxing Restful Nights Sleep"

We had a very quite room and got a relaxing and restful nights sleep before flying out on our trip. The value was great for what we could afford and as a valued Best Western rewards member and a preferred costumer the up graded room was fantastic. We learned it is defiantly worth being a rewards member it has its perks when traveling.
