The rooms are nice maybe a bit small but clean and the beds are comfortable, parking is free at the hotel which isn't very common for this area and the subway is 4 blocks away so that is very nice. The breakfast area is nice although the selection is small and we didn't feel particularly safe walking back from the Subway at night. All in all a good experience.
The hotel at first glance looked nice however the rooms are grimy. Even after changing rooms three times the room was still yucky. Attached are pictures of the floor between the two beds. Avoid this hotel. I'm not sure how you can claim to clean and have this type of sticky grime.
The night attendant was terrible, very poor service. You should really train your employees to be more welcoming. The room was decent it was on the smaller side. The hallway was dirty when we go to our floor when we left for checkout there was a maid in the hallway cleaning out a room but the same trash for the night before still in the hallway. I was displeased the o my thing I liked was the softness of the bed
Dirty common areas. Common areas smell of cigarettes and pot. Only about a dozen off-street parking spaces. Bag breakfast. On busy street with all night traffic and lots of honking cars and semi trucks. Will not return.
I stayed March 29,30 for a family trip to the Bronx Zoo and Botanical Garden Orchid show. Rooms were clean and I was able to get a parking spot before it filled up which was fortunate. There are about 15 spots. This hotel advertises breakfast but its just not the case so dont plan on that.
From the outside all indications are this a decent hotel. Rooms are updated with modern fixtures. Location, slightly off the beaten path, but otherwise within easy access of LGA and a decent walk to the subway. However, I was a little disappointed with my overall stay. The staff was very friendly, however the hotel rooms were slightly less than spotless. Noise was a slight problem, but was easily addressed. Beware the continental breakfast, as it was restricted to a locally catered meal. Advance notice would have been great on this front, also more background info on the caterer would have been great. This was a meal I easily skipped. Ice maker is in the basement, would have been nice to know before settling in the room. Fitness center was unavailable, looked to be under repair and cluttered. Overall lots of potential but needs a bit of polishing.
Me and the family had a great time and liked the prices. The people at the front desk were very nice and accommodating. They checked us in very quickly. They had the lobby area decorated for the holidays.
Will not be returning to this particular location!!! Rooms too small Stand up shower too small Absolutely no parking! Parking lot too small Was not value for my money at all! No microwave in rooms No ice machines on the floors, you have to go in the basement for ice, breakfast and to use a microwave!
Sticky floors in the room High noise (inside and outside) Breakfast in a paper bag So not recommend this place for families, we stayed to get to the Bronx zoo early in the morning, but I rather had driven early in the morning than spending the night at the hotel
We checked in back in mid-August and the stay was great. The room was very clean, the decor was cute, and the amenities worked well. I will most definitely be returning and I would recommend this place to my colleagues.
Had reservations for a 2 night stay. Showed up at 6pm to check in and were notified that there would no be hot water or morning breakfast bar service during our stay. Said they could not help finding an alternative hotel. And would not even provide a discount. We were stuck. Breakfast consisted of a “grab and go” served in a crumbled up paper bag with a banana, orange and a couple of packaged muffins. No Coffee available to go with it In lobby. Left for the day at 8:30am, got back at 4pm. Found the door latched open/unlocked, no one around and the room not serviced. Turns out the cleaning staff opened up the room then 'forgot' to clean and lock it, After calling the front desk at 6pm, they finally came in to service the room. The second day, we woke up to check out. Turn out the single elevator was out of service. Had to walk down 5 flights with luggage. They do have a 'second' elevator but it only goes up to the second floor. Not helpful. Room was very small. No space/luggage stand to open up suit cases except for the bed. Room A/C and WiFi were good. It should ne noted that the hotel has only been open for a few weeks. But this kind of service is way out of line for any hotel, at any time.
