Stayed there for a day for a business trip. Had an amazing experience. The staff were all very friendly and polite. Rooms were very clean and spacious with all the amenities. Will definitely stay here again.
Stayed there for a week and a half for a business trip. Had a good experience. The check-in, housekeeping and other staff were all very friendly. Also enjoyed the free breakfast. Rooms were clean. Will definitely stay here again.
Ideal location and was able to get to Castle Gardens in Lexington easily. Hotel was awesome, breakfast was fantastic and staff was pleasant. Will definitely stay with them next year when we attend the Festival. Thank y'all so much for the warm hospitality!
The facility was very nice, the staff warm and friendly, the breakfasts good and varied over a period of days. The beds were very comfortable and all requests were taken care of with a smile. The location was close to everything we needed and easily accessible to anywhere we needed to go.
I can't belive that this is rated as a Premier Best Western. We haven't stayed in a BW hotel in a while, but, they must have lowered their standards considerably. Our toilet wasn't bolted to the floor, so every time that you sat down, it moved and made a loud noise. The gout in the shower needed cleaning. There weren't any blankets in the room. Breakfast was awful. None of the food was hot. Had to wait for some of the food to be prepared. Just not a quality, or
A few weeks ago mom called the hotel to make a reservation. She asks if service dogs are welcome (I have a SD named Calypso) or if we should just go to a different hotel so we don't disrupt their way of doing things. The lady says that yes legitimate service dogs are allowed but since they're not allowed to ask for proof she left it at that. So we show up today and moms like, "we're the ones who have the service dog" (I'm waiting outside with calypso at this point) "is that still acceptable?" And the lady is like "Yeah we have your room all set." So we head upstairs to our room, (on the phone she said she'd try to get us on the first floor but that's no big deal) and the room sucks. Its super hot, and the air conditioner doesn't work in the slightest. Theres gum in multiple places in the carpet (which calypso gets curious about and tries to eat) we get her to stop and i notice stains all over moms bed. The beds themselves felt like sitting on cardboard and there was enough trash to notice sitting throughout the room and bathroom that it didn't seem like they cared about being a decent hotel. Also very minor but the tv didn't work. So mom goes down to ask for new batteries for the remote and the lady (a different one this time who didn't know about calypso) says that if that doesn't work we can just switch rooms. So we did. And what do we find in the New room? A fully functioning a/c. A fully functioning tv. Perfectly clean and neat and tidy floor and beds. The beds are super comfy and all the lamps work. I'm not saying they put us in the shady room because of calypso but it does seem very coincidental. Everything was peachy once we transferred to the new room but that they would let a room be in that condition for anybody is surprising as it seems to be a very nice hotel overall. Rant over.
Bacon is my choice breakfast meat and it's missing from this complimentary breakfast, but it's not lacking on anything else. Hotel exterior was nicely manicured and hotel room was very clean. All of the staff was exceptionally friendly, always smiling and very helpful. If you can live without bacon, I'd recommend this hotel!
A little disappointing. Bed had a large sag in the middle...made is hard to get out of bed! The floor....wow....looked like no one ever vacuumed.....DUST on the light fixtures.....Breakfast, very good.......front desk employees...very nice. This hotel has a lot of potential.
The room that we were provided was hands down the dirtiest hotel room that I have ever been in. The carpet was covered in crumbs, plastic fork, hair ties in the bathroom floor, hairs everywhere and a cobweb in the corner of the room behind the door that went up 8 inches from the floor. The freezer was completely frosted over and had 2 large juice stains, the closet had an odor that reminded us of a dead animal and was so strong that you could not open the door but pry the issue that bothered me the most was that two of the outlets were missing covers. The outlets were in working order and one was where the PTAC unit was plugged in which was very visible. This is a huge liability has a child could stick an object, finger, ect in the outlet and he or she could get shocked. We have an 8 month old daughter who is crawling and needless to say we did not feel comfortable with her crawling on the disgusting floor nor getting anywhere near the exposed outlets. Additionally, the PTAC unit cover was covered in black mold and clearly hadn't been cleaned in a very long time. When I expressed these issues to the gentleman who claimed to be one of the managers at the hotel he offered no apologies at first and simply listened to my complaints that said
First of all, I'd like to note the positive - Mike is amazing, friendly and helpful. Suggesting you promote him and move him up the chain. He would be a wonderful representative for BW and your hotel. Lori at the front desk was helpful too. Our room was nice - first floor with comfortable bed and we got the roll away that we asked for. Fridge in room. Comfortable. The front lobby and breakfast area is fun to gather in. There is a restaurant on site that has some live music some nights and an outdoor patio. Sunday morning was our first foray into the free breakfast. They were slammed and not prepared in any way for it. Ran out of food and ran the poor woman crazy. I don't think they pulled up at the last moment in a bus. The hotel looked full - maybe pre-planning would have helped with looking at the bookings to plan for extra help and extra food. The rest of this week was quiet and breakfast was good with sausage, eggs, biscuits and yogurt and some fruit. (maybe some variety?) Now the bad part - we had maid service one day, the first one. Then around 8:30 am a maid would pass our room and if we weren't ready for maid service at that time (we were on vacation) she never came back. That happened 4 days. We went to the front desk each evening and asked about it and no apologies at all.... like, "I am so sorry, we missed your room". She did hand us the towels we asked for. Yesterday, the Fourth of July - she said the maid service just came in for a bit and TRIED to get to the returning guests rooms.... not our group's rooms obviously and we had 4. Did I mention the hotel is empty - WE are most of their business this week it seems? Also, The 3rd floor hall had no air conditioning for the week. Please note, I am OK if there is no maid service - but please tell us so we can plan accordingly. We come up once a year. This hotel is convenient for us to stay as we go out to Towanda. Would like to try again next year. Might I Suggest, get more help for busy days.
We would definitely stay there again. The hotel was very clean and room was updated and spacious. Breakfast provided with real plates and utensils rather than plastics. Front desk staffs were friendly, too.
Excellent site. Room large enough for two people to be in with no problem. Excellent breakfast and internet. Bathroom large enough for two people to use the sink at the same time. Friendly staff. Restaurant does not automatically give you your senior discount. Had to ask for second chair as the room only has one, yet is designed for two people.
I have never been to such a warm/friendly hotel! The staff, especially Rebecca and Ashley were helpful with all of our request! In fact they kept a smile the whole time...I never realized how much happiness is contagious... thanks again and we will be back! Breakfast was amazing, hot, and huge selection. My room was clean and remodeled! Housekeeping, Angela, gave us extra towels for our stay... great experience, truly impressed!
Nice older hotel and conference center. Pleasant atmosphere and ample food supplied during our conference days and stay. Conference entrance separate from hotel lobby. Rooms were standard for the industry with refrig, microwave, etc. Comcast analog TV signal in rooms.
Great place to stay. best kept secret in Bloomington, IL, Great staff, fast internet, good food. and the most surprising thing the fitness center, stock with water, towels, TV, equipment and guess what it all worked.
Our room was so nice and clean. Bed was very comfortable and hot tub was amazing. Our room was quiet too which is a big plus. Staff all very friendly and helpful. If we ever come back to bloomington we will definitely stay there again.
Good rooms. Decent breakfast. Nice staff. But, holy cow, it's like a bunch of amateurs are running a hotel. Computer at the front desk: down (so no check in). Pool: closed. Wi-Fi: not working. Door: never once unlocked without getting key reset. Power: off at least once a day. When I mentioned these problems at the front desk: “I know.” Changing hotels tomorrow. Do not stay here!
I always try to stay at a Best Western now that I've joined the membership program. This one did not disappoint! Clean and spacious rooms. Breakfast was good. There was plenty to eat and hot food items were replenished often. The staff was very friendly and genuine. I also liked the location, about 2 miles from Veteran's Pkwy, so it was not in the chaos of the bust streets. I'd definitely book here again!
The staff was tremendous. Super friendly and very accommodating. Quick early check-in and super fast check out. They were trying new breakfast offerings and the spread was far more than we expected. They had breakfast burritos, egg & sausage biscuits, scrambled eggs, sausage patties and all kinds of cold items. The only thing keeping the review from excellent was the bed in our King room. The bed needed some updating. Even with the not so great bed we would stay here again. The restaurant and lounge in the hotel were a nice addition as well.
We arrived after looking for quite awhile...it's in the boonies. Nothing around it, like places to eat! The bed was the worst I have experienced. There was a large dip in the bed! Impossible to lie straight! Went refrigerator and there was old food in there. I could go on, but that's enough said!
Could be a lot cleaner, old and outdated furnishings in need of repair. Staff either non existent or not responsive. No snow or ice removal from front of building making it very difficult. Breakfast was ok but staff needed to be more attentive
The people checking us in smiling really made my crappy day great! I was bummed out the ice machine close to my room was broken. Prices in the snack machines high. breakfast good but I couldn't get a waffle cuz the waffle iron hadn't been turned on. The pool was dirty ON the Plus side: the in room internet was great the lamps with charging stations are great My Bed was HEAVENLY
This is a very nice hotel. The employees are super helpful and polite. I've experienced no issues whatsoever. The rooms are nice, clean, and well stocked. ?? I would definitely recommend staying at this hotel.
Hotel staff was very pleasant and accommodating. Food at the Holiday Charity was very tasty. Room very clean and comfortable . Breakfast was very appealing and breakfast area was very clean and pleasant to sit in and relax.
Loved my stay very clean and nicely decorated room. Friendly and helpful staff. The beds were very comfortable and had a good variety of channels on the tv. Had a very good breakfast with a very good assortment of choices. I would love to go back for an extended stay.
The hostess put me in a room that was occupied but they corrected it and made every effort to make things right, but there should really be controls in place so this doesn't happen because it h never happened to me before anywhere else. Makes me call into question if rooms are adequately cleaned and checked before being made available again.
This hotel is clean and friendly, but the bathroom lighting and water pressure in the shower needs attention. I have stayed here many times because I like the location away from the city noise, but within a couple miles of everything you need.
Clean and comfortable rooms with a staff that is super friendly goes out of their way to make sure you have a wonderful stay! Super close to the airport, so it is very convenient. I will be back soon.
My family gathered from eight states for a celebration of life. The staff, accommodations and amenities were excellent. They were able to put us on the same floor, were very accommodating, personable and helpful. I heard many compliments from all the family!
While this hotel is not off the Inter_State it was worth the effort to get to. The hotel is nice and modern. Breakfast has real plates and silverware. All of the staff made sure that we were well taken care of.
Stayed for one night. When the van driver picked us up from the airport we had to haul our own luggage in the van, not a big deal I don't mind carrying my own luggage but usually hotel van drivers do that for you. On our drive to the hotel we noticed the van smelled like cigarettes. The rest of the staff was amazing especially the front desk. Not many good options. There's a restaurant in the lobby and another pub/restaurant across the street. It's about a 5 minute drive to the airport. Not a bad stay but I wasn't impressive either. Oh and I thought the toilet seat was a little too small for the toilet... just look at the photos.
Good value for the money. Had just finished remodeling of some rooms and still needs more. Quite noisy one night (had a wedding party) even after complaining twice the issue was not resolved. Otherwise a very good stay.
My husband and I were looking for a get away instead we got a hallway that smelled like mildew, rude housekeeping, and an outdated room we paid too much for. I was really not to impressed with the stay
The Sales Manager - Rebecca Walters did an excellent job in assisting with the planning and coordination of the contract with our Procurement Team. Andrea (last name unknown) was a key player in the execution of ensuring set up of the meeting rooms. He went above and beyond his duties and should be commended for exceeding customer expectations. The renovations to the hotel and rooms really improved the atmosphere. The Braize restaurant has a wonderful menu and staff - all our guests really enjoyed having this opportunity right on the hotel property. Definitely recommend anyone planning a large meeting or conference to consider the Parke Regency Hotel.
Great hotel and staff! Not in the thick of all that craziness on Veterans Parkway around the east side of Bloomington but every restaurant and the mall is within a two mile radius! Be advised that the restaurant in the hotel is not open on Mondays.
Strike 1 was finding an overload of visible mold spores the A/C unit (shown in pic) Strike 2 was the front desk giving my room to someone else, not realizing I was there for 2 nights and had never checked out yet. A husband and wife couple walked into my LOCKED room with WORKING room keys while I was naked/just out of the shower. When I called down to the front desk to figure out what the problem was, the woman laughed hysterically and thought it was so funny that people had invaded my privacy and it was no big deal, and actually comical. Turns out these strangers were attending the same wedding I was and I had to see then continually throughout the night.
If it had not been for the parties going on it would have been prefect. They do not warn you the have large parties going on and noise until 11pm. They should clearly warn you they rent it out for large parties, sleep is impossible with all that was going on.
Housekeeping was very disappointing. Bathroom was half dirty when we checked in. They clearly didn't sweep or mop and there was no soap and very few towels. When I tried to call down to front desk the phone didn't work. Front desk staff was nice but it sounded as if no other room was 'ready'. Next day we tried taking a shower and the shower did not work.... what the hell this is like a basic thing. A hotel room should at the very least have a bed a toilet and a shower. Room 329 was the worst. If this is what a premier BW looks like I can't imagine what the lowest quality one has... I will never stay at a Best Western again.
I need a place to stay in this area and I mostly choose Best Western properties because there are many in the territory I run, the are clean & affordable and breakfast is typically included with the stay. This location had a real nice bar/restaurant attached called Braize. Great unique sandwiches and salads. The hotel appears newer. Very clean, good neighborhood. My room was spacious and clean. Bed very comfortable. Only complaint was water pressure, which needs to be looked at for my room. I will stay here again when back in the area!
This is a very nice place, and a great value for the money! My one suggestion to anyone considering staying here would be to ask for a room far away from the bar/restaurant! The bar stays open until 2 o'clock in the morning and is very loud. We didn't know about this and were sorry we didn't. That said, the price is right, the breakfast is (more or less) hot, and the staff are delightful and very helpful! I would stay there again with the one suggestion in mind...
Above average hotel for below average price if you're willing to venture out to the east edge of town. (Literally - there's a corn field across the street!) The bar looked fun, but didn't check it out since I was with the kids. We did particularly like the breakfast.
Let me tell you this is the worst hotel myself and several other guests stayed at. My cousin had her wedding reception here and let me start by saying that who on their wedding day has to set up tables and prepare the hall when they are suppose to be getting ready for the most important day of their life. I'll start with we had no napkins on the tables they where giving them to us as we sat down, we where all waiting for the champagne toast, which their was no glassware nor any champagne, next an hour into the reception they ran out of Miller Lite beer, which this was an open bar and should of been well stocked for a wedding, the food, well let me say I thought my piece of chicken was screaming since it was not cooked and red juice was on my plate, the mostacholli was tomato paste on some 3 day old pasta, the beef was wayyyy over cooked and if that wasn't bad enough my boyfriend got sick in the middle of the night from what he ate. I spoke with Terry via emails and said she would look into the matter and get back to me, which she never did but then told my cousin (the Bride) that she was lying about all of this so I guess I'm a liar as well. Also the head table collapsed on one end and almost fell on the Jr bridesmaid. The rooms where marginal, I heard several people say there room was dirty or they found different items on the floors and under the beds. I could say more but why bother since it wont bring back the fact that my cousins special day was a nightmare. Terry told her that there is nothing they can do, Ha how about a refund on the champagne for the toast, or some short of monetary compensation, instead they said there is nothing we can do for you.
AWFUL! They don't even deserve one star! I booked my wedding there a year ago. I was promised many things and management changed and staff changed. I called management and spoke to them about many complaints I had like DIRTY UNDERWEAR UNDER A BED and other complains about the event like running out of food, dirty bathrooms, running out of liquor for an open bar, tables collapsing, dirty plates, running out of knives, and 100 other things. Terry the general manager said nothing could be done and I was lying. WORST SERVICE EVER!!!!
When we checked in, the clerk on duty put us into the ground floor room next to the pool. Around midnight, we finally called the front desk to complain about the loud mechanical noise in the room. A different clerk at that time said that people complain about the noise in that room all the time and she didn't know why we were placed there earlier, offering to change us to another room (again, at midnight). There was absolutely no option to turn off the pool mechanics, despite our request.
I was a long term stay at this hotel. I was there for thirty days and had no issues with the room or staff. Breakfast was good. I really enjoyed the French toast. Housekeeping staff was always polite and very friendly during our communications.
We stopped here on a road trip and were pleasantly surprised by this place that we had never heard of. The entire hotel was impeccably clean, the room was large and had some great amenities, and the kids really enjoyed the pool. Breakfast in the morning had some great choices too. I would definitely stay here again on my next trip to Bloomington. My only two minor complaints were the stiff bed and the obnoxious gaming machines in the lobby that made very annoying noises while trying to have morning coffee.
This is my second experience with a Best Western property and I experienced a very good nights rest in quiet surroundings. Both hotels were pretty far apart (600+ miles apart and in different states) but the friendly staff and well maintained property of each reflect well on Best Western!
We stayed here for the very first time and was very impressed! A couple small bumps in the road, but nothing that wasn't addressed. Highly recommend hotel. We will be in the area numerous times in the future and intend to make it our regular hotel!
Our stay was very nice. Two of us traveled there for a meeting. The location was changed from another hotel to this one a few days before. We were really glad that it was there. It was easy to find, good parking, not far from shopping, eating, etc. Our room was very clean and had extra pillows. If any of us from work travel to that area again, we definitely will choose the Best Western Parke Regency Hotel and Conference Ctr. for our stay. Thank You.
For a conference center this facility did not live up to its capability. There was no one at the front desk on 3 occasions that I visited. Check-in was very slow (since there was no one at the front desk) and our room lock was temperamental as sometimes it would not let us unlock the door. It always seemed to correct itself after several attempts. Once again no one at front desk to report this to. And no one to explain the open internet until a maintenance man showed up. The bed was only marginally comfortable as it was a softer spring mattress, but without a pillow top (which we have come to expect at BW). Breakfast was quite good, but without any fruit (which my wife expected). I was never acknowledged as a BW Gold member, which was a bit disappointing. Overall, it seemed that the staff just didn't care that we were there.
I had my wedding reception at the Parke Regency Hotel last month. Overall I have to say it was an amazing experience minus a few hiccups with one of the sales managers. What made this such a highly successful experience was the banquet service! Michael, the banquet manager, was hands down amazing! He seized the moment and delivered! He went above and beyond to make sure that we were taken care of throughout the evening. The food and service was excellent! The banquet and bar staff was enthusiastic and fun. They even told me and my wife throughout the night that they were having a good time working our event. Not a single person felt a dull moment. The party continued on after the reception in the hotel's new bar and restaurant Braize. Their bar staff also made it fun for everyone! The hotel has recently been renovated and looks beautiful with lots of upgrades. My wife and I stayed in the Master suite and it too looked nicely updated and clean. Also, the front desk staff was quite enthusiastic and professional! From start to finish everyone treated us like family! If it weren't for my experience with the sales manager, this place would get a perfect score, but all in all, I can't say this enough: Thank you to the wonderful front desk staff, banquet staff, GM Terry and very special thanks to Michael for all of your hard work in making our night the best wedding reception ever!!
We have stayed here before fro an early flight the next morning. As usual it did not disappoint. The staff is very friendly, the rooms are very nice and the price is always good. We would recommend this hotel to anyone.
Very caring staff. The hotel is clean, great selection of breakfast items. One of the best hotels we've every stayed in! We have already recommended it to family who will be passing through the area. Excellent value!
Staff was beyond just good. Friendly like old friends and so ready to help with anything. We were able to experience both the day and night staff since we checked in at 3 in the afternoon. They quickly found us a ground level room that was the largest room we have ever stayed in and we have stayed in over 30 rooms just this year. Walk in shower. Very clean. We walked over to Joe's pub for supper and had a lovely meal on their outside dinning area.Very nice breakfast buffet but no fruit. Coffee in lobby and breakfast area was not to our liking but we enjoy coffee so....there ya go. Husband plans to stay here again on his trip in September.
The hotel is completely remodeled and has an updated retro decor. It has a great staff, and other amenities. We felt it was a great place to stay as you are traveling across America. I would highly recommend this hotel to stay at any time.
Have stayed here many times the past 8 yrs and this time was very disappointed. Rooms should not be assigned in a hardhat zone. !!! Noisy in the morning when we wanted to sleep in on vacation. 7 am noisy. Disappointed in cleanliness of room. Didnt notice till I went to take a shower no rod or curtain! Doors splashed from grout work. Patch on newly painted wall not painted, another night the outlet didnt work next to bed and no bedside lamp. Very disappointed this trip
This hotel was a great value for the price. Clean room, great service and location. Convenient restauran and bar. Nice swimming pool and workout room. The staff was very helpful and pleasant. We will definitely come back.
This hotel is undergoing renovations. The exterior landscaping is lovely and the finished interior areas are well done. We stayed in a king room going and a 2 queen on our return. Both were spacious and the beds were very comfortable. The king room only had one table near the bed and there weren't any shelves in the shower for shampoo, etc. The staff explained that the contractors hadn't gotten to that yet. The location is somewhat off the beaten path and quiet.
Hotel is well kept and the room we had was all we wanted. It definitely felt like we had under paid for the quality of the room. Hotel staff were attentive and at the event (at the hotel) we attended, we felt well taken care of. The location is such that it's a drive to get anywhere in town, but definitely nice as a quick get away.
Incompetent employees and rude bartenders. Bar stays open until after 3:30am. Do NOT get a room with an odd number, or you will be up all night. The worst was the breakfast. It's free and tastes it. Also the food was cold and fruit was rotten.
I stay at this hotel every year for a conference. They have really made some nice improvements. The restaurant was extra special. No special decor, but the food and staff were exceptional. Hotel staff were both jovial and professional. The bar was limited but adequate.
I would recommend this hotel for a weekly conference center. They were very accommodating and friendly. The beds and rooms were very comfortable and clean. The conference rooms were clean and provided a big open atmosphere to conduct meeting and dinners thru the week. This place is great for business meetings and the price is very good.
This hotel was recently added to the Best Western Family. The facility is understaffed and would seem to have lower standards then BW hotels that we have stayed in in the past. Before staying here again, I would need to know what has changed.
Things in our room were broken, the reservation was a big hassle both before arrival and check in, we found medication in our room that wasn't ours, their breakfast ran out, and I was told I would be contacted about the issues and all I got was this survey.
Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. Rooms were of adequate size and clean. Walk-in shower - no tub. Easy to get to and leave although on the fringe of town. Nice indoor pool and fitness room. New management of the restaurant, Braize, have done a great job. Food was very good - better than expected. Waitstaff and bartenders were friendly and efficient. Not the best hotel I've ever stayed in but, for a town of this size, a step above. My wife and I were really very pleasantly surprised.
Spent three nights in Bloomington as one member of our party had business to attend to there. Hotel is a bit off the main commercial streets out just past the airport. Thought on arriving we might be up at night with planes landing but that was not the case. The hotel has just undergone a major overhaul to qualify as a Best Western Plus. The lobby and restaurant are spacious and well appointed. The rooms are the same. Staff are pleasant and helpful. The restaurant in the hotel was good and it was a short drive to a variety of other places to eat.
First the facts: huge, clean rooms; big, comfy beds; superior, hard-working and courteous staff; and super special treatment as a bride and groom! I just had my wedding party stay here the last two nights, and oh my, were we a handful! Everyone kept changing their arrival times on me so I had to keep rearranging reservations, but Rebecca made it so easy and stress-free. I was able to focus on family and getting married and she handled all the work. Between her and Cami, I felt like I was dealing with friends. They made my whole party feel so special and welcomed and we are just so appreciative of all their hard work and making us feel so relaxed and able to enjoy such a momentous event! You guys have a great staff and hotel! Thanks again!
Stayed at the Park Regency for one night while visiting friends in the area. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Really, 5 stars for the staff we encountered. Our room was spacious and clean. I believe they recently did some renovations because we could smell paint. Our room must have needed some additional touch ups because there were some random holes in the walls and paint in places it shouldn't have been. But no big deal. Great price so can't complain!
