This is our first night Just had a nice dinner at love seafood restaurant thanks to GRO Janine who helped to source for and communicate with driver for us Janine was extremely helpful and really took care to make sure we are well taken care of. "Family Friendly Hotel"

A beautiful Hotel with 15 floors. My Favourite is the rooftop cafe because they play the World Cup games on the big screen. The staff are amazing and friendly the food is incredible there are many types of Cuisines Asian,Western, and Japanese. The Ballroom is nice and there is a Family KTV. The massage place is fantastic. The Gym is very spacious. There is a Steam, and Sauna room. If you are ever in Batam this is the place you will want to be.

"Another tale from an Indonesian oddessey"

The Best Western Panbil might be a bit off the beaten track but is nicely located in a relatively quiet part of the island. The accomodation is very nice, large modern style rooms with good quality internet and multiple tv channels. The swimming pools,spa and fitness areas are excellent and not crowded . I was however, disappointed in the standard of the food which in my mind was not to the level that an hotel of this standard should be providing.

"Very good hotel, yet excellent staff..."

I stayed in this hotel for 4 days for our annual event at their Ballroom. The hotel is very good, great room (executive room). Only minor issue needs to improve I think...Faucet on shower area is too long, almost touching genital area when you take shower through the shower head. Short faucet will be solve it... The toothbrush is too rough, and better to give mini mouthwash, it's not expensive tho... Event in they're ballroom is so great! Excellent staff...so helpful, friendly, yet professional. I remember Ms. Emmy Diah, Mr. Agus "the decor man", Mr. Andri "the ballroom facility guy" and Mr. Hendra "soundman" who make our event successful! The owner should be so proud to have those "doing with heart" staff...

"not for light sleepers"

The hotel is very nicely decorated and the room size was good. Nice view from the room. The soundproofing in the room is really bad, i can hear the traffic (my room is on the 12th floor) and sounds from the corridor. The rain shower's position is really weird though, and the toothbrush provided was really rough.

"Short get away with my BFF. "

My bestfriend and I decided to have a short trip and ive chosen this hotel on our visit. Ive read really good reviews about the hotel and to be honest im fascinated by it too. The hotel room wasnt as big as the last hotel i went to but the service is awesome. The bar on the 15th level gave a very nice view of the place. The food was great and the manager was very kind and helpful. I forgot his name tho, i was there 2nd July...thanks to him. The pool was amazing because of its warm water. First time i enjoyed night swimming haha. The breakfast buffet spread was also good. Everything went smooth. I love this place. Kudos! See you guys soon. ??

"Get Away"

We booked the hotel through booking.com. Even though we were disappointed when got to know the hotel was a bit far from the central area, but the hotel staff's service made it up.. we were welcomed well by the front office staffs. The hotel amenities were good too.. being a soccer fan, i got to watch the world cup games at their bar on the 15th floor.. The front office staffs were extremely friendly. I can't remember all their names, but special thanks to Ms Jenny( pardon my spelling if its wrong). She went on to extra mile to decorate the room for my wife.. wow.. Ms Jenny even came up to us when we were having breakfast, giving up suggestions where could we go to spend the rest of the day. And also to mention Mr Herman, one of the security officer, very polite. Mr Herman gave us ideas on how does the cycling idea works.. i would definitely recommend this hotel to my family and friends.e and my wifebwould definitely come back to this hotel whenever we come back to Batam. Shoutout to the excellent service to all staffs in Panbil hotel.. thanks a million..????????????

All i can say is that maybe this hotel is one of the best hotel in batam, definietly top 5 in my opinon after staying on a few hotel in batam. The environment is relaxing, the hotel itself are great. The only downside for me is that this hotel located far away from the attraction /center of batam. A bit far away from airport too, but anything else are great

"Relaxed staycation "

Hotel is new and staff are friendly. Good lake view and facilities like the pool, gym , SPA and KTV brought us a lot of fun. Breakfast has a relatively wide variety of food but there is no refill after 9 am. Overall a comfortable stay.

"3D2N getaway"

BWP hotel has really good facilities such as nice rooms, infinity pool, in house spa and some eateries and a supermart nearby hotel. The hotel is new, about 2 years old. Lake view was good. Overall pleasant stay although there are no malls or shops nearby, free shuttle from hotel to nagoya and BCS is available so pls book early at the reception. The guest relations officer Jannie was very friendly and even took initively to find out about our stay and chat with us, making us feel really at home. She also provided suggestions on where to eat seafood. Suggestions from a local's perspective is much better! Wey wey seafood was good!

"Comfortable Stay"

The hotel is located about 20-30 minutes (depending on traffic) from Batam Centre, with a good view (provided that your room doesn't face the apartments) to greenery and a lake. The location works for us as we were not there for shopping or exploring Batam. The hotel is relatively new and clean, with a good range of TV channels and a pool of good size facing the greens. However, there's one item that I find particularly strange in the room is the tap below the shower head. It protrudes too much that one can't stand comfortably under the rain shower. On another note, I was expecting a better service for a hotel spa, but later found out that it's a separate entity, managed by Eska, a commercial spa found in various other malls. It was a massage that meets the needs, and nothing more. The range of buffet spread for the Ramadhan buffet didn't quite meet the expectations as well. Consequently, decided that it was not worth the effort in waking up early to go for the hotel breakfast. All in all, for the price we paid, it was a comfortable stay.

I went to batam for one weeks work. I stayed at the best westeren premier hotel which i can only highly recommend. The day i arrived i was met by Jannie in the reception which helped me out recommendig places to go for dinner and have a fun time out in town being that im a foreigner it made my trip soo enjoyable!! "Wonderful staffs!!"

I would like to express my appreciation to all of staff in this hotel. I've got bit problem with the room cuz they only have double bed on smoking floor, and they offered me to room change. However that room was connecting room so bit noisy unfortunately. They concerned for me and offered room change again. I truly happy and appreciate even though the new room was twin bed room. They were very professional, helpful and work with smile always. They did their best even short of double bed. Thank u so much for your help and I'm sure I will find this hotel again in future.

"Comfortable beds and clean room"

The room is clean and beds are comfortable. We were also allowed to check out slightly later at 1 pm. A minor point to nitpick is the charging port by the bed does not work for room 617. Complimentary breakfast was also somewhat lackluster, eggs and salami were below average, but sausage and hashbrown were good.

"Lying reception staff"

Asked for a queen bed, but check in counter insist theere were no queen bed rooms left?! I only realised the counter staff was LYING when 3 other guests that checked in that followed all received queen beds. He pushed me off by insisting there were NO queen beds left and making me wait for an hour. Is this the level of dishonesty expected of your staff? Do you think that is acceptable of a international hotel?

"Nice pool and hospitable staff"

Booked my family stay from 28th apr to 1st may over the labor day weekend. We had tried to email the hotel with regards to transport from ferry terminal and to book the shuttle bus from megamall to hotel, but to no avail. No reply was given. We took a taxi to the hotel in the end. Front desk staff were helpful and smiley. Explained the rooms and vouchers clearly. Was given afternoon tea for 2 voucher for 2-5pm daily, but we did not stay in hotel to use it. Ound out shuttle bus service to Nagoya hill and megamall was limited and mostly fully booked. Would appreciate if they open up more shuttle services to help tourists like us. Dined at the hotel lobby lounge on the first night. Ordered a seafood horfun, but the seafood was all stale and bad tasting. Fish was super fishy. Feedbacked to manager and he replaced with some chicken cooked in the gravy. was not tasty either. We didn't feed them to the kids. The indo dishes like penyet was ok. Beef soup was tough and watery. They gave us a brownie for our celebration, together with a fruit platter in cling wrap. However the fruits were mouldy. We did not take it. We had a 1 bedroom suite which was big and spacious with a tv that could be rotated to serve both sides, the bed and the sofa. Toilet was big with separate tub and shower room. However, we could appreciate if they have towel hooks to hang our towels. Also, there was no soap dish to hold the bar of soap for washing hands. Tv had alot of channels to watch, it was really entertaining! There are 2 infinity pools and 1 jacquzzi pool the 2nd floor. One was for the kids and they loved it. It was quite clean and new. The view was great! There is also a sauna and steam bath in the toilet located next to the pool. One downside was that part of the kids pool was beside the smoking corner. It was quite smelly when people came over to smoke. There's also Eska spa at the same level. We did not try as we had 2 young children with us. Overall, we enjoyed our 3 nights stay. We wish this hotel was nearer to the city centre like BCS or Nagoya or Megamall, to save us the travelling. The nearest mall is Kepri mall which has a huge carrefour and Jco and matahari. I'lve also attached the shuttle bus timings from hotel to nagoya to megamall and back. If you want a vacation to enjoy the views and pool, not travelling to shop and all, this place is for u. There's a small supermart just beside the hotel which has some simple snacks and neccessities.

"Average service"

Checked in but no bellboy offered to help to carry our bags. No welcome drinks were offered as well. Poolside bar always closed for the 3 days of stay there. Room was ok, nothing to be wow about. Staff at family ktv were super disappointing. Wanted to extend one more hour at 12.15am, staff simply said they are closing. It is very cleared that the operating hours is till 1am. Checked out and only realised that have left something behind the hotel and till now, no one bothered to call or email us of the belongings. Please kindly improve ur service as front desk should inform the house keeping to double check on the checked out room when guest is at the lobby doing the checking out process.

"One of the best hotels I have stayed"

First and foremost, I am an experienced traveller as my job takes me around the globe every other day and hotels are like a second home to me. But best western premier panbil got to be one of the best ones I have ever stayed in as it is equipped with everything I ever need in a hotel room. Me and my S/O stayed in the executive suite in a very affordable price and the room was spick and span and really spacious where everything is layed out perfectly. From the bathtub/shower bathroom amenities, to the confortable bed with charging usb ports just next to the bedframe (how convenient as we forgot to bring adapters but just usb cables) and the wifi is super fast. Next is the beautiful HUGE infinity pool and the best part is they have a big whirpool (take it as an enlarge bathtub filled with hot water) the food was affordable and tasty with a large variety for breakfast and they have one of THE best live bands that plays at night with all the latest hit songs. Service personels were top notch always with a smile and even asked us if we require transportation to out ferry terminal an hour before we needed to check out. 10/10 will always be bookin with BWP whenever im in batam!

Stay there over the weekend and it was unbelievably great. The room is so nice.. the breakfast has lots of variety and so delicious. And it is a must to visit the infinite pool, which has a damn great view. Sure will be back there again.

"Beautiful Hotel"

Great Hotel with fantastic staff, food and amenities, it is not near the town though so that's a downside, you will need taxi to and fro. They have a free shuttle but it is only run a couple of time a day. The food and drinks inside the hotel are good but a bit pricey for Indonesia. All in all though a lovely hotel and great for relaxing with stunning views from the roof top bar and the infinity pool

Overall experienced was excellent from the time we reach the hotel, during our stay, the breakfast that we had, helpful staff for taxi and shuttle services. All staff are friendly and accommodating. The room was really comfortable and relaxing. We will definitely come back and recommend it to our friends and relatives who ever visit Batam.

Great stay at BWP Panbil! Although it was abit far from Nagoya Hill Mall and Batam Centre, they do provide shuttle service. However, you will need to quickly book a slot for their shuttle service as it gets fully booked very fast. Staff is very friendly and accomodating. They did not have a large bed for my husband and I and tried ways to make our stay better. Even emailed us before hand to inform us. Room was clean, bed and pillows were comfy. View from our room was beautiful! Breakfast was a delight. So much variety from Asian to Western! I will definitely be back to BWP Panbil. :)

"The best in batam"

There is no pick up from the ferry to the hotel, anyhow it's just 15mins route. We paid around 7sgd to the taxi. As soon as we reached the hotel we were welcomed with nice smiles and a welcome drink which was ok. The furniture at main lobby was so grand. The restaurant and bar were situated at the ground floor. After a quick check in, we were so amazed to see our lake view room. It was simply superb. The room, bed, bath, view from room.... everything was so neat clean and wonderful. The food at restaurant was also very good. The strawberry squash is a must try. There is a KFC nearby. But nevermind.... There are villas built around from the same group and you may rent a bike from the hotel to have a ride. A hi way beside which was obviously very busy through out. The next day we thought of going on a city tour but changed our plans after looking at the infinity pool. It was fab. My kids just wanted to be there. The indoor pool was also great. We spent the whole morning lazing around. There is a free shuttle service from hotel to nearby mega mall and Nagoya mall(super good). Just you need to reserve it beforehand. The buffet was good too with so many varieties. Chicken was a disappointment though. The karaoke and gym were empty. There was a pizza corner near the pool which was always closed. The spa was also good. You need to book in advance. Otherwise it's very busy. The next day we visited Nagoya shopping mall which was very big. You may have the best layer cakes here, which is around 15sgd. Because of the too hot temperature we preferred to stay at hotel most of the time and chill out at the pool. Our overall experience was great. My kids enjoyed a lot and never wanted to leave the place. If you want to be far away from the city and need some peaceful environment then this is the place. Although the price on the menu was on higher side, the food was excellent. I must mention that the people in batam are so polite and calm. They are always helpful. You can feel the difference as soon as you reach Singapore.

"Awesome hotel"

Grand hotel lobby and the junior suite is very spacious, even comes with a bathtub. The infinity pool, jacuzzi and eska spa are also awesome addition to this one year old hotel. It is near panbil mall and kepri mall. There's shuttle buses provided to nagoya hill and other places which we enquired on check-in but was already fully reserved for the next couple of days. You can always get around by grab car as they are really affordable there. When we booked our junior suite on agoda, it was stated that it came with access to their executive lounge. Upon enquiry at check-in, the staff knew nothing about it. We went up to the lounge at 15th floor to take a look and asked the waiter, who said that we could get some vouchers (?). Apart from these, hotel service is great and security is good as the hotel room levels require card access. Hope the hotel can sort out the executives lounge access issue with their staff. Will recommend this hotel and stay there again next time.

"A hotel far from crowds"

This hotel is located quite far from crowds, so it's hard to find food or to shop. If you stay there for vacations, it would be boring with minimum hotel facilities. The rooms are quite wide and there are many variations of food. The employees' attitude is still very low. They are not responsive when facing problems, especially for banquaet activities like seminars, trainings, or another events. For all Event Organizers or Trainers, very coordinated with the hotel party if there are any required activities arrangements. This slow response make activities begin later. So that, this hotel is not worth it to be used for events that require good coordination with hotel employees. This hotel needs to upgrade their employees performance.

The best hotel in Batam in terms of value and quality. The room is on par with international standard and is the best I've experienced in Batam. The service is prompt and professional. Good selection of western and local food on breakfast buffet. The dining selection is excellent, and their room service is tasty and affordable. Their nasi goreng, chicken satay, and laksa are on par with What I had at Grand Hyatt Jakarta. If you like cocktails, I highly recommend their coconut Mojito - surely can compare with one of your best cocktail experiences.

Stay in junior suite. Best sunrise view i have ever seen from bed in batam. Generous room size and modernly design. Littered with usb port around the room too. Hotel is new, supposedly only open last year. Customer service is impeccable. Breakfast selection(always do it at the level 1 restaurant) is amazing. If you can , try to avoid weekend for it is swarm with korean tourists.

Was staying here last Sunday for a night after Singapore vacation. First impression, nice new hotel. The cold welcome drink was tasteless, the check in staff is looking so tired, messy hair and make up lol, maybe she's almost asleep as we came after 9PM, but it was fast although at first we've given a twin bed, me & husband refused and choose the double bed one although it's on the smoking floor :( 3rd floor, with a bit smelly room (i can smell someone smoked inside before). Straight to the bathroom and saw dirty shoes print, dirty floor mat. The room itself was spacious, nice interior even I don't understand the glass wall on the toilet side, not matched with the rest deco, good bed and pillows and also the extra pillow in the cabinet, nice warm robes, all basic essentials were there, the wifi also quite good. My husband flight is early morning and we went to the buffet breakfast and sadly there was empty! There were bunch of Korean tourists finished their breakfast. Hubby only got toast and eggs, waiting for the staff and when I asked, he only said, “yes we will refill” but it takes so long so we left, I was back again at 8AM and it already refilled, my happy tummy got a nice sushi, ramen, yogurt, salads, and jamu “traditional drink”. Oh yeah, the plus is the free minibar, there were a can of orange soda, 2 more mineral waters, an orange juice, a pack of choco wafers and a pack of momogi-a cheap full of MSG snack that i feel back to my school era :)) and I like the USB everywhere so it's easy to charge all out devices. Check out was fast and have no hassle at all. Anna(?) and Tiara were very nice. Will be back? Maybe, want to try the pool etc and it location near my friend's house in vila Panbil. 3 stars for this hotel, 2 minus star because of my hubby didn't get a proper breakfast.

good: - spacious deluxe room, great view - great rooftop bar - very friendly and helpful staff - nice pool and jacuzzi bad: - aircon a little weak - certain staff did not speak good english and was hard to communicate via email - need to book in advance for use of shuttle service to malls/Batam Center, but mitigated by ease of using rideshare apps like Grab or Go-Jek for cheap transport anywhere

"It is a Hidden Gem in Batam"

Booked this hotel just for a quick escapade from Singapore. Very nice hotel for the standard in Batam. The lobby is impressive (looks like any of the 5 star hotel), and they are also quite thoughtful to provide drink station and nuts in the lobby for self-service. The room is not big, given that the land in Batam is huge, nonetheless it is very well appointed. Comfort and modern. The infinity pool is one of the highlight, and they also have a big jacuzzi on the same deck. If you love spa, there is an outsourced spa within the hotel and the price is very reasonable. Highly recommended. Next to the hotel, there is a small supermarket. Though you have to take taxi or any public transport to hit to the mall, nonetheless, it is not too far away and taxi are not that expensive in Batam. It was a nice little holiday and certainly this hotel adds some great little memories to my trip.

This is really a gem! A truly magnificent hotel. The staff, the restaurant, the reception and the gym is just great. My wife and I were planning to go on a relaxing holiday in Singapore, but this hotel came up as a good alternative, and we were blown away by the beautiful hotel. The restaurant offers food both from menu and buffet everyday and everything is delicious. The breakfast buffet is one of the biggest I have had the pleasure of trying. Would love to come back! Only to stay here.

"Good Friday getaway"

Stayed here for the Good Friday weekend for 4 days and 3 nights. It was great. Infinity pool, rooftop bar, spa, sauna, steam room, haircut, a minimart, shuttle service...perfect. The only reason to get out of the hotel was when housekeeping does their 'room make up' and to go shopping. Other than that, take note if you're already used to stay in 4 or 5 star hotels - 1. standard and deluxe rooms have no bath tubs. First time, in a 4 or 5 star with no bath tubs. 2. standard rooms apparently have no view of the lake.They face the service apartments! Was upgraded to deluxe room with a view of the lake. The view is awesome if you're lucky to get one. 3. standard and deluxe rooms are very very small. So used to 50sq m rooms, 30sq m-ish size rooms were a jolt to the imagination. 4. If you must stay here, get the JUNIOR suite. It's a held secret with the staff as it offers the best possible view of the lake. Even the minister suite does not have that. It faces the service apartment instead. 5. Avoid groups of Korean ahjummas[old ladies] staying on your floor. When they're drunk, they'll knock and bang on your doors incessantly, trying to find their rooms or their mates. No use to call reception, just open your door and ask them to f#$^ off. Once you open your door and they realise the wrong room or the wrong person, they'll just bow and say sorry and they move off to another room to knock and bang the door. Heaven help you if happen to stay on the same floor. 6.Used traveloka for this trip, got almost to 40 percent discount for this trip.

First time visiting Batam and decided to stay in this hotel. We checked into the hotel at night and the staff greeted us and offer us a welcome drink. We book 3 junior suite and was upgraded to executive suite since the junior suite was not available. The hotel is nicely decorated and we love it. The room was clean and comfortable. It comes with a king size bed and a separate living room. The extra bed which we requested a week ago was not prepared. We informed the front desk and the bed was prepared shortly. The breakfast buffet was delicious with a good variety of food. We had our lunch at the same restaurant and food was great and portion was huge. There are three pool which cater to both adult and kids. Kids pool is below 1m and a jacuzzi pool which my kids prefer is much warmer. There are lockers and towels available for hotel guest and the hotel spa is also situated at the same level. The spa provide pre-natal massage which I enjoyed, price is reasonable too. I tried the pedicure service but the staff that is on duty does not seem to be a professional manicurists. My nails was not well done and it took a longer time but the attitude of the staff was good. Overall this is a nice, clean, comfortable hotel and suitable for family. My kids love this hotel a lot.

"Overall Is Good "

1) Hotel was located about 20 minutes to Nagoya Hill & Batam Ferry Terminal. 2) Swimming pool with nice view but lack of control coz lot of guest didn't wear the swimming suit which i feel it is quite dirty ?? 3) The room was great. but One of our bedroom with huge smoking smell. 4) Staff was friendly, shuttle bus service was on time. Overall is good.

"Awesome genuinely kind hospitality"

Where should i start....there are just too many excellent feedbacks to compliment on this hotel. The staffs not only were polite and friendly but also remember you! My MIL got into an unfortunate accident and we had to cut short our stay by one day. Anna the hotel reception staff along with the rest, were all concern and they empathise with my MIL for getting injured. It shows in their expression...now frankly speaking i have yet to see this kind of hospitality and it's our first. The f n b manager (i think) Abbas was also kind enough to let us occupy the restaurant premises to have our late lunch cum dinner as we had bought nasi padang to eat at the hotel but since my MIL was injured, we figured if it's ok to use the restaurant premises and utensils for her convenience. All of them were very accomodating to our request. From the bellboy, front desk reception staff, chambermaids, banquet staffs. Anna, Abbas and Robert...there's alot more but i forgot to take down their names. If there's any downside, it's only how the rooms are built...the rooms doors and walls are not sound proof, u can actually hear other guest closing room doors. But those are very minor issues to us apart from the 1001 excellent things abt the hotel. The pools...jetpool had amazing calming views twds the lake. The interior decor is nice,cosy and quite posh too and the rooftop dining! We will sure return back to this hotel if we visit Batam again...its our preferred choice! And we are sure to recommend it to our friends and relatives!Hotel staffs with Smiling Faces everywhere u go!

"For a relaxing getaway"

This is my second 2D1N stay at Best Western Panbil and visiting this place might become my "ritual" for whenever I need a break from the hustle bustle. Firstly, I like how the rates are affordable. Secondly, I get all my "chill" settled in the hotel (dinner and drinks at the sky bar, sun tanning by the infinity pool, massage at Eska spa). I usually book the hotel suite and really enjoy how spacious and clean the rooms are (not to mention the toilet). Buffet breakfast is also included. The recent trip was made more special because I was thrown a birthday surprise and at the least expected location - the toilet. I must say the decoration looks rather elaborate and I am impressed.

"Nice and clean rooms"

We have stayed at junior suite for two days. The room and facility are clean and nice. Food was also quite good. Reception was slow but good too. However better not expect anything from the lounge service they provide on the 15th floor. Breakfast on 15th floor has to be ordered before 10pm on previous night. When we reached there the food have been cooked and prepared but they are bit cold, coffee was also cold and we can't even order juice etc when things are missing. It's great that they provide high tea and cocktails for free there too but basically there is no one at the longe and when it takes about 10min for someone to come and take order, after making order for coffee, cocktails, it takes another 10min for them to come back and their English is not very good, some of them can't communicate well. Well for overall, it's very worth for the price and recommended:)

"Awesome for a relaxing short trip"

Had one of the most relaxing and enjoyable 3D2N stay at best western premier panbil hotel. we chosen a deluxe room with an unblock view.The hotel is just 15 min away from batam ferry terminal by car. The room is really clean maybe also due to the hotel being new. The soft greyish white interior design of the room feels relaxing. The view is awesome as it over sees the sunrise and moonrise! Lastly the food is delicious. We enjoy a lot on the rooftop bar/restaurant overseeing the moon passing by. This hotel is best for a short get away from the busy city life and just enjoy the wonderful view of greenery, sky, airplane and pond.

"Best Staycation Trip"

On our arrival we are pleased to say that the ground staff was amazing with their service especially Anna, Putra and if not mistaken the other staff named putri. We was given a room 730 by Anna. Based on our experience, anna was a customer orientated and she provide extra mile to her guest. As what we notice the way she handle the in-house guest and also our stay she did show her care and concern towards us. Eventhough the hotel is abit far apart from the mall, the hotel provide us a shuttle service to the mall which we feel more safe and convenience.... I would recommend whoever who are a first timer to visit batam, this hotel will be the best as the shuttle service provide 2 way transport upon confirmation. Please do take note that you have to make a reservation first before boarding the shuttle service to avoid inconvenience caused. Last but not least the breakfast is awesome and to my opinion the cheese should have more variety daily so it's easy for us to choose. I will definitely visit this hotel again when I visit batam.

"Good New Hotel with great Pool"

This hotel is good in a number of ways. The hotel looks new and clean. The rooms are also well maintained, well cleaned up, new and the furnitures are not worn out too. Per night rates is not expensive too. The staff is attentive in many ways. I contacted them via email, facebook messenger and they replied promptly. Their service at check in is also fast. I enjoyed the morning and evening swim at the pool overlooking and amazing view and also relaxing with a meal at La Bella Vita which is their rooftop restaurant and bar. The only feedback I have is that the buffet breakfast could be better managed. The seats I got assigned to keep being taken up by people. Also the food I placed on the table keep disappearing when I have not even started on them. The staffs are working hard to clear tables but I think they were working a little too hard.

"Away from the buzzing city Centre but good hotel"

The room was clean and they have good amenities like swimming pool and gym. There was free shuttle to nagoya hill and mega mall everyday but do book in advance. They had a shuttle back as well at 9pm which needs to be booked too. Check with the hotel for the timing. Breakfast was a good spread and they have an egg, noodle, waffle and even sushi station. We had the triple chocolate cake on the 15th storey which was only so-so. Everything in the room bar was free. There is no bath tub in the deluxe room we booked. They had this lady that went around asking for feedback and giving information which was good. They have water and juice in the lobby too. Overall I would say it was a good hotel which handled the large crowd well during the Chinese New Year period. So they improved from the other comments made here.

The best hospitality so far I received from a Asian hotel. Staff here are amazing.They are absolutely gentle and have lot of patience . Whatever the help you require they will assist without loosing their smily face. They have free shuttle services for all guests to shopping Malls daily. If I visit Batam again surely this will be my accomodation.

All in all, still alright. Excellent service from counter staff but the communication sometimes breakdown due to language issue. The food for breakfast is alright as well, nothing too wow about it. The bar on the 15th floor has wind issues which made it too difficult to sit on the outside.

"Comfortable stay"

Stayed for 3 nights at the Jr Suite for a short getaway. Room was spacious, with a great greenery view. Affordable and value for money. Hotel is 20mins to town (minus the traffic jam). Supermarket just beside the hotel. Facilities under one roof (gym, swimming pool with whirlpool, sauna and steam, spa, karaoke, rooftop bar). Staff was friendly. Arranged hotel service at an affordable price. Taxi driver available anytime (station at the hotel) they also have free shuttle to nagoya and megamall if you dun want to engage a cab. Breakfast was good with quite a selecttion of food. Had different set of menu at some stations daily. Hotel is new, nice and comfy. Area was windy, it was so comfy for us and our 11month old. Definitely will be back.

The rooms are of amazing quality, very spacious, clean and at affordable prices. The quality of service by staff was great, everyone is very friendly. The food at the two restaurants are incredible and the rooftop bar has amazing views. I would recommend BW Panbil to all my friends.

From the Hang Nadim international airport, it only takes around 20 minutes to reach the location of BWP. While the Ferry port of Batam Centre only takes 15 minutes. So that guests who come to visit are also not necessarily complained about its location far everywhere. It is located in the middle area of Batam City give a plus for this hotel. Capacity Sisoding Grand Ballroom can facilitate up to 1300 people. All snack at your room is free.

"Amazing room and rooftop restaurant"

The room is spacious, clean and very affordable. The pillows are amazing!!! The rooftop restaurant serves great Indonesian food, I had the nasi goreng which was delicious. The infinity pool is also very posh and nice. Throughly enjoyed my stay.

"Good short getaway"

Stayed with friends on 29 Dec 2017 as a short staycation before the new years. Overall services from staff was great. I ordered kueh lapis and concierge was very accomodating to collect the order while we went for spa treatment. Check in was slightly slower than Singapore standard, which is acceptable in my opinion. Fortunately we were second in queue, so I would expect longer wait time if it was a busy day. Room wise is good clean sheets and comfortable bed for Deluxe Double Room. Toilet is clean and has hot running water. Those who like cold, the AC is decently powered. Can't comment on TV as we mostly use our mobile phones, Wifi is good connection. Do note that transport/cab out from hotel are steep prices, like 10,000 rupees for short distance, so we just went out on our own to call for cab. This is unavoidable for hotels usually, so just take note if you decide to engage in cab services. There are some bands in the evenings in two of its restaurant premises, but is catered more to local tastes. One feedback for improvement is the organization of breakfast. We were allocated a table when we went to collect our food, but it became occupied when we We liked: Clean comfortable beds, clean bathroom and hot shower, swimming pool, sauna and steam facilities To be improved: Lift takes long time to go up and down, average lake view, breakfast service

"A not so bad experience"

Stayed in Best western hotel a few weeks ago. Just having a short stay. Checked in at night and leave the next morning.Stayed in the deluxe room which is pretty nice and comfy. Hotel amenities was pretty good, but not so great with the view. They said it was a lake view, but it was some kinda dissappointing. Also, the mug in my room was dirty, it still got some stain on it. Had a good night sleep, the bd was very comfy. The breakfast was also great, with a lot of choice. The staffs was very helpful by getting my double espresso, and the coffee was very good!

"Overall a great stay"

Booked the junior suite. Room is big and clean, however room door is not sound proof, can heard bell door ring from next door ard 3am plus midnight which disturb our sleep. The toilet door is different to close too. The shower area glass door cannot be close tightly at all,weird design. Buffet breakfast has wide range of selection which is a plus point. It take about 15-20 mins to travel to mega mall/bcs mall/nagoya hill. Most the staffs can speak and understand English well.

"Good stay "

The executive room is in good size and size for the bathroom is good considering what we paid. However, there seem to be a sewage smell in the toilet on and off. Pool looks good but weather is too cold for a swim. Breakfast has wide selections but the food is not too tasty. Just average. Cooking skill can improve better.I happen to see a waiter getting room service food to be deliver up to the room. Food is not cover and explose to air which is not very hygienic. I believe the food will be cold as well. Overall the hotel is value for money. The front desk service is good and I do find their staff well trained and polite. Will still consider to stay in this hotel for a relax trip.

"Good for a company retreat"

A 20 minute drive from the jetty, this place is near the middle of the island. While the location is quite a way from the city's shopping areas, it is nestled in a quiet place far from the bustle of the town. Within the hotel are amenities and facilities that would engage one for a couple of days: a decent swimming pool, gym, restaurant, and bars, and the Eska spa (which was superb, and a clean joint). There's also a small mini-mart in an annex building to the left of the entrance past the small car park. I think the biggest letdown was the karaoke, which although having a wide variety of songs, was bogged down by the weird layout and system: the VIP room only has about a 56in TV mounted on the middle of a 8m wide room, and a keyboard/mouse combo to search for songs, which blocked out the songs on the screen. Overall, a decent stay. The rooms were sufficiently comfy (though the mattress was a little hard) and the shower had a really weird issue with drainage of water, something I've noticed in the design of many Indonesian hotel room showers. Overall, it's a good bargain; however, I've been spoiled by the experience of rooms in lower "starred" hotels in Japan and Taiwan, for about 80% of the price of a night, and better room layouts and furnishings.

We are very satisfy with our stay. The room is huge. The facilities absolutely arent dissappointed. Love the pool area. They have rental bike for the guest. Breakfast's good n tasty. Check in and out was ok. A lil bit far from city center but they have sched shuttle bus to take you to city.

Good service! Wonderful spread of Buffet breakfast and also the rooms were huge and new. Bonus points for rooftop outdoor pool, indoor hot pool, sauna and gym. 10-15min away from ferry terminal and about 20min away from Nagoya

"Weekend Golfing"

Best Western Hotel really lives up to their ratings. The hotel lobby are grand and the check in staff are polite and friendly. Checking in takes less than 15 minutes and the staff serves welcome drinks. The room are very clean and spacious. Shower area are big and the vanity top spacious. Beds are most comfortable and the pillows are top of the line brand. They provide SERTA pillows which are soft and comfortable. There are 2 pillows of different size. One of the pillow is longer which can be used as a hugging pillow for side sleeper. All the drinks and tit bits in the fridge are complementary and there are 4 bottles of mineral water which is very generous. Breakfast spread are good and choice generous. There are ferry service provided but you can order a taxi from the counter staff which is safer and professional. It is a most positive stay for me, my wife and golfing kakis. Will definitely be my priority choice of hotel whenever I come to Batam again.

"Excellent service from hotel staffs"

Visited Best Western Premier Panbil from 6th Jan to 8th Jan (3 days 2 nights). 1 month prior, I booked the deluxe room through agoda.com and emailed the hotel directly to confirm the reservations as I've heard mixed reviews on agoda.com where they sometimes overbooked hotel rooms. Received email reply promptly from the hotel and they confirmed the reservation with their own confirmation no. At the same time, I booked spa packages from Eska Spa (emailed them directly) and the Eska Spa team replied me promptly and answered my queries accordingly. The deluxe room had great view of the lake. Very relaxing atmosphere as you don't see tall building ar the surrounding. Toilet had no bathtub but it was huge. For a big size person, I had no problem moving around the toilet. Air-con was extremely cold even when we increase the temperature to 28 degrees celsius but you could switch it off and the room will still remain cool which is great (not too warm not too cold). Customer Service was excellent, the staffs would actually stop in their track to greet us with genuine smile. I am most impressed with the staff at Best Western Panbil. Everyone was friendly, from security guard, to the reception to the housekeeping etc. Special shoutout to Aji from Housekeeping and Anna from reception. Food at Andaliman Restaurant was okay (a bit tad salty). The breakfast had a good spread of choices. In room dining served better food, it was served within 30mins. Eska Spa was great. Highly recommend the body massage spa and hair spa. 1st time experiencing spa therefore it was much better than we initially thought. They accept payment by credit card or ruppiah. I've read some bad reviews on this hotel therefore I feel that it depends on whether its peak season or not. For me personally, I prefer non peak as I want to avoid the crowd and it was a great decision because I've experienced an excellent service from the beginning till the end of my stay. Hope to cone back soon!

We are amazed by how friendly are all those staff working there. They always put on a wide smile on their face. They have no problem with english communication skill. Remember to book their shuttle bus service at the lobby counter to shopping mall... they will be there on time to pick you up.

This place is rather expensive (for a Batam hotel), but you pay for what you get -- semi-luxury, good service, comfortable and clean rooms, nice amenities (i.e. pool, gym, decent buffet breakfast, shuttle service to and from shopping malls). Only problem is that the shuttle service, on weekdays, is very irregular (i.e there are only two timings for pick and up and drop off at the various hotels) and should be more frequent, especially since the service is based on demand. Also, the restaurant food wasn't good and I definitely would not recommend. Overall, still a nice stay and I will choose this place again.

"Best value for money"

When I first stepped into the hotel, I could immediately tell that I was going to enjoy my stay at BWP. The lobby is clean, grand-looking, and the staff immediately served us refreshment drinks while we wait in line for check-in, making us feel very welcomed. I was also impressed by the cosiness and cleanliness of the room, which is decked out with modern control panels and a plasma TV that is in good working condition (surprisingly, many other hotels in Batam fail to provide a TV that actually works well). We got a non-smoking room, and it is indeed free of any smell of cigarettes. On top of that, their amenities are clean and new, including an infinity pool, heated jacuzzi pool, sauna, steam bath, karaoke lounge, ESKA spa & massage, as well as a gym that is very spacious and well-equipped. The staff are really friendly too, which is a big bonus in my books. My family and I have certainly enjoyed our stay, and I won't hesitate to go back again for a nice and relaxing getaway. General advice: 1) For those who intend to utilize the services at ESKA, try to book at least a day before your intended session. Sadly, we weren't able to enjoy their massage services, as all their slots were full when we visited. 2) They have VERY LIMITED shuttle services, so book all your slots when you check-in. 3) Their karaoke system is pretty outdated; many new songs were not available. So, unless you're satisfied with sticking to older songs, it is not really worth it. 4) Be prepared to wait for a LONG time if you want to have dinner at their cafe. By the way, their Salmon Florentine is really delicious. 5) The hotel is quite far from.. well, almost everywhere. Be prepared to carry some extra cash to cab around, especially since their free shuttle services are limited (as mentioned previously). Areas for improvement: 1) Provide more shuttle bus services. Seriously, 2 slots per day is far too little in my opinion. At least increase the frequency during peak/ holiday periods to cater to the demand. Also, consider providing an additional route to BCS or Kepri Mall (especially since Kepri Mall is just a short drive away). 2) Faster service during check-in and at dinner will be very much appreciated.

"A chain hotel known for their fabulous rooms worldwide!"

Friendly attentive staff. The infinity pool is great and so is the heated pool. Rooms are fabulous. Clean. Family friendly. Generous wide range of breakfast buffet. Food quality wise, so-so. But overall, value for money still. The in-house spa service from Eska however, is not the one to die for. I've tried better ones elsewhere and its definitely cheaper. And the schedule for the free hotel shuttle service to shopping malls could be improve further with more timings available.

"Great pool view and nothing more...."

I would say the pool view is great, facing the greenery and reservoir of batam. Location: Don't expect anything to shop or eat within walking distance. It is 15-20mins drive down to the Megamall which may cost around IDR80,000 by taxi or you may take the hotel shuttle bus (very confusing schedule board by the hotel). Hotel Shuttle Service: Looking at the schedule board (attached), it may be confusing even after the hotel mgmt has tried to improve it. To my understanding from the staff, the pickup from hotel on a weekday is 10am and 12pm to the Nagoya Hill Mall and Megamall. Pick up from Nagoya Hill Mall to hotel on weekdays is 2.30pm and 4.30pm, Megamall is 3pm and 5pm. Please note, ONLY UPON RESERVATION. Facilities: BWP has Eska spa on the second level and Eska spa is actually one of the spa saloons I go to in Batam. To be honest, Eska spa service in BWP wasn't as good as what you can get from the other Eska outlets, The good thing is, BWP hotel guest can enjoy 20% discount for the Eska Spa service in BWP. Food: Like I mentioned, there isn't any food around the hotel. you may order food from the two restaurants and of course in-room dining to fill up your stomach. BUT, I came to realise that the prices from the in-room dining and the level 1 restaurant are different. Pasta is cheaper if you order from in-room dining, whereas the steak is cheaper if you dine-in the level one restaurant. (note: exact same menu). In-room dining is ok EXCEPT the fruits. The pineapple was rotten and the honeydew was strong and tasteless (no QC check at all). Level 15 has a rooftop bar and restaurant, OH MY, mosquitoes everywhere and the food was horrible. The pictures in the menu are purely just photos and doesn't reflect anything about what the food served. (look at images attached). Room: Superior room size is ok. The room was so cold even after I had it adjusted to 28 degrees at low fan speed. (no idea whats wrong). You have to give it a while for the shower water to adjust the temperature. (don't say I didn't warn you). The linens are dirty, black stains on the bed and quilt sheets. Breakfast: I personally find the varieties of the food choices not as good as what I would expect.

I would like to compliment the team at the Andaliman Restaurant especially Mr Alan Aulia and Mr Vico Huliselan. When I went for breakfast on my second morning, I was impressed by Mr Alan Aulia's ability to remember that I like cappuccino. I had asked for one during the previous breakfast. It's wonderful that he could remember and this provided a delightful customer experience. As for Mr Vico Huliselan, I observed that he is very patient and smiles a lot when he is manning the coffee station. Even when there's a lot of customers requesting for their coffees. Thank you for a delight customer experience.

"Short weekend getaway "

Chose this place on a last minute trip, and never regretted at all. The hotel is huge with beautiful interiors and furnishings, and its so clean. Its a fun place for family and friends cause they have karaoke rooms. spa and the pools are awesome! The rooms and the bed is even superbly awesome! Also the buffet breakfast is so delicious. Checking in and out is a breeze, and all the staff are polite and amiable and also well versed in English, some can even speak Korean & Japanese. Impressive. Will definitely come for a return. "New hotel but I'm truly disappointed. Linens are dirty."

Just checked in 2 hrs ago. Yet to even settle down but I'm alr disappointed by the cleanliness and the worthiness of the hotel. Hotel is new, amenities are up to date. Pool is incredible. But yet that's all for this hotel. Shuttle bus service booked yet did not arrive to pick us up. Called the hotel telephone yet no one answer. Hotel amenities such as towels and linens were dirty with stains. The bed linens were clearly not changed after the previous guest checks out. It is obvious if the linens was washed yet the stain did not come off clean. But the stain was clearly left by the previous guests. Business center Opening hours was stated till 10pm but when I asked for the location via the phone. Manager on duty came to settle but from the moment he took over the call from the receptionist and when he came to my room, there were no greetings and no apologies. He did not even introduced himself. There was no genuine service recovery given. All I was given was a room change that I demanded and I'm still waiting for it. I just want the service promised by the hotel yet it was not being delivered. After travelling all these while, this hotel is utterly disappointed.

Check-in was smooth, room clean and bed is comfortable. All staffs that I came across were polite and smiling which makes the stay even more pleasant. Buffet breakfast spread is good but could improve more on the western selections. One suggestion is to increase the shuttle service frequencies to malls on weekdays.

"Good stay in Batam"

This is the best hotel to stay in Batam. Though Nagoya shopping mall is not nearby, they do offer shuttle service to that mall. but they must increase the frequencies of the shuttle service. The swimming pool is very nice and the view is good! The nearest mall is Kepri which is 5 mins drive. there is a minimart outside the hotel. The hotel room especially the executive room is good. The breakfast is good compared to other hotel.

Having a few spare days in Singapore took last minute trip to Batam Island booked in at last minute. Everything was top class staff went out of their way to make you feel comfortable even when asked to be moved because of noisy travelers. Got interconnecting room for my family of 5 (ONE LARGE BED FOR ME, HUBBY N CHUBBY 4 YEAR OLD SON, 2 TWIN BEDS FOR MY 15 N 12 TEENAGE DAUGTHERS...TWO SEPARATE BATHROOMS, DRINKS BAR FREE)...Excellent view but away from shopping centres etc...Please be advised even though shuttle are provided, u still need to make reservation with the hotel for pickup venues Nagoya N Megamall shopping mall....other alternative is by hotel private taxi which costs SGD 10....Breakfast is excellent...sushi, asian, western, bread pudding (yummy) and each dish ala carte costs about SGD6-SGD15 or so I think...generous portion...not including 22% tax. ..would come again definitely ??

"Nice hotel to stay in Batam"

We stayed there for 5 days as our office held an event in there. The service was good from the ballroom to the restaurant. The staff were polite and friendly. The spread for breakfast buffet was good and also lunch and dinner. There is enough to do in the hotel itself because it includes a swimming pool, rooftop bar, gym and a karaoke bar. In addition, the rooms are spacious and also the beds is comfortable. The hospitality of the hotel employees is excellent, they are really warm and friendly and make sure you feel welcomed.

Great atmosphere, friendly staff. Great food from restaurant and good spread of breakfast.Many food station to chose from. With 3 pools to cater for all age groups, spa wellness within the hotel. 2 way shuttle service to Nagoya Hill and Batam Centre. Land transfer from Batam Centre ferry terminal upon request. What more can your ask for for a short get away. Will definitely consider BWP as first choice next coming trip to Batam

Feeling posh and fantastic getaway with a great deal we paid ...the best in Batam for me!! Free shuttle service provided is great and solved the problem being not that convenient to big malls. The pool and jacuzzi is fantastic as if its a private pool feeling for us as a family.I love the fact that Eska offered their massages, hair services in house makes it convenient under one roof.. The impressive breakfast spread with many live stations such as sushi, ramen, soto,laksa,western eggs, waffles and many more...delicious too!! Ginger tea is a bonus for me.. I have no negative comments for this hotel with a great smily friendly team of staffs they have.

a new hotel so we went there for a staycation and it was clean with nice breakfast. it would be more convenient if you have your own transportation during your stay here. or else you're good to go with taxis or shuttle. definitely worth the price.

If you are looking for a place to relax and free from the hustle and bustle of the city, this is da place. About 30 mins drive from Batam Centre Ferry Terminal. This place is away from any shopping malls but there are shuttle buses provided to Nagoya mall.. Transportation is not a problem cos there are ample taxi. The hotel lobby is huge. We were warmly welcomed by a helpful and always smiling staff. They speak good English. Everyone working in Western Panbil is helpful and professional. Thumbs up to the staff and there are kids friendly too :) We got a superior family room.. Huge for a family of five like us. Our pictures speak for it. The affinity roof top pool oversee the hillside of Batam.. Very nice and calming sight. The breakfast choices are plenty and they serve as early as 6am. The restaurant serve delicious food and u can call for a room service if u are too lazy to go down and have ur meals :). Ladies.. You are gonna love this!!! They have Eska Massage and spa right in the very own hotel.. Eska provide everyting amd anything from hair to massage to nails and face .. Very nice place to relax and just the right place to pamper urself. Thank you Western Panbil Batam.. We have recommended to few of our friends and they do agree its one of the best place in Batam.

"Awesome! Did Not Disappoint!"

Wanting a quick and nearby getaway, we chose Batam. Batam has been our go to place to unwind shop and get some well-deserved rest. We have been here a few times before; selecting to stay at Harris and Radisson. However, this time round, we chance across Best Western. The new hotel did not disappoint. We stayed for 4 days 3 nights. My reviews as follows: Location Alight at the Harbour Bay and took a cab which is about 15 to 20mins? The cons, I could say is the location; it is not walking distance to any mall. Based on map, Panbil Mall is about 20 minutes' walk. I didn't try. Sadly I didnt visit Panbil Mall as I was much familiar with Kepri Mall. 60k Rupiah using the hotel's transport from hotel to Kepri and 45 to 50k back using normal taxi/cab. The Hotel Sits on an elevation; the road leading to the entrance is steep. Greeted with smiles at the entrance. The lounge area with high ceiling was amazing. Well, it is new but it looks awesome and modern. Check in was a breeze. We got the 7th floor but unfortunately I forgot to inform them that I wanted the lake view. Well, I couldn't be bothered to change. Tip: Ask for a room that has the lake view. It's amazing. The room we got was awesome. Pantry area, living room area and the bedroom. The bathtub was great too. New, clean and the nice warm lights they used. Colour tones which i like. Makes it feel cosy and warm. A switch next to where you place your card consist of Privacy (I believe its the Do Not Disturb), Make Up and the other two I forgot. (I'm getting old). There's a master control panel for the lights and air con temp on the bed stand. I want one for my home too! Great selection of channels. Spacious bathroom with bathtub. Wider selection of TV channels. I manage to watch my football match too! Rarely get to watch such channels at hotels I visited. Air con was awesome. I fell asleep on the first day. Woke up freezing without the blanket. That was how good the air con were. Wifi was awesome! In the room and in the hotel premise. The 1st night while in the room I have this massive headache. The wife had it too. I was worried as the hotel did boast a stronger wifi signal in their hotel. I'm kinda sensitive to the radio waves from wifi. I had major headaches when I placed the router in my room back home. I had to move it out to get some sleep. Hence, to check it wasn't the wifi signals, I took a shower and paracetemol and just took note of it. Next day, I concluded it wasn't the wifi and it was probably the lack of sleep the previous day and of course the stress of work. Thank God. I had a wonderful day after. I am highly appreciative of small things people do to others. Here, after making up the room, they will leave cookies for you. I know it's a small thing but it made my day. I'm sure guests are appreciative too. It seems that if you rent the bicycle. There's a map showing you the road you can go to. I didn't try this but if it does lead to the lake, it would be a nice place to get a good view and admire nature. Cons: The water pressure from the rain shower is weak. Do remember to pull the main door a little harder and check that it is locked before you leave. Facility On the 2nd floor, is where the Swimming Pool is (1.2m and a baby pool) It was awesome; overlooking the lake. There's a Jacuzzi too. Sauna and Steam room in the bathroom. A massage parlour (under the company Eska) is there too though we didn't get the chance to try. On the same floor you have karaoke and also fitness centre. Didn't try either. Haha. Certain time during the day, there's bbq at the swimming pool too. Top floor, if I recall on the 12th is where the bar is. 15th is executive lounge? I forgot. Ground floor the lounge, you can get some snacks, drinks from coffee, mocktails, cocktails, wine, beer, liquor and cigs. I met Mr. Robert, the entertainer who sang and plays the piano. Had a great chat with him and his adventures in different cities. Reminiscing my younger days of the bars and pubs I went to before. Haha. You can have a smoke break at an area specifically catered for smokers to chill and have a cup of joe. There's a small garden too where you can sit and relax. Andaliman Restaurant Now, my wife and I have different views about it. Our stay came with breakfast which is 6am to 10am. I find they got a wide spread for breakfast. But what was great for me was taste. I was content. Having been to other hotels, this was definitely top 5 for me in SEA. More drink to choose from too. My wife will beg to differ though. We called for room service as we were lazy to go to the mall on our first day for dinner. I had the Seafood Laksa and my wife…well, I forgot. Haha. I assumed it would be small portion. Surprise it was not! I had my fill and it was delicious. Didn't take long for them to serve too. Last night we ordered supper, Nachos and Crème Brulee. My wife took the nucleus! Can you believe that. You work around the cheese. Haha. Question: Once done eating, I would usually just call room service to let them know I'm done. But my wife did that for 5 times and they didn't come by. Being a traveller that rarely ordered room service from hotel except for villas, I wasn't sure why they didn't come by. Hence, I just left it out at the corridor. Didn't want sleeping with the food smell. Kepri Mall Now this is not about the hotel. It's the mall that I love to go to. By cab, it isn't far. 5mins? The food at the restaurant are delicious. You can shop for groceries at Carrefour. Around the area you get karaoke and massage parlours. You can do some shopping too at matahari and some of the small shops. Summary Best Western did not disappoint. Of the little travels I've been to in Southeast Asia, Indonesian people are the warmest folks. Bali takes the cake but overall the kindness and warm coming from the country are the same. I will definitely be back and Best Western is definitely my hotel choice when I'm in Batam.

"Comfortable Stay with good shuttle service"

The room is comfortable. When we check in, the WC started to get choked after few usage and there is a stench smell. We asked for a room exchange and within few minutes we were put to another higher room and everything is fine now. Hotel staff is very attentive to your request. Nice view of the lake and we were served with biscuit once daily which is a good initiative by the hotel. There is also a free mini bar and welcome fruit basket. Breakfast is quite variety and our two kids got complementary breakfast. Best of all there is free shuttle service provided to Nagoya Hill Shopping Mall and Mega Mall. Hence if your ferry is at Batam Centre you can get free shuttle to and fro from Hotel. Location is quite far from mall but there is a supermarket just downstairs. Hotel is near to Muka Kuniing and convenient for those that is working there. The indoor swimming is very good and the water is warmer and our kids love it (more like Jacuzzi) The swimming pools (2 number-one1.2m and one 0.6m) has very cold water with a lot of windy.

Stayed at the hotel for 3 days 2 night at the junior suite. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Hotel facilities are sufficiently adequate if you just want to relax and do nothing. The restaurant serve good food, has clean rooms, quiet ambience and a very relaxing place to stay.They also have free shuttle service to the shopping malls such as Nagoya and Mega Mall. Would definitely come back again. Highly recommended to all.

The lobby is grand, The room is spacious and bright. Wifi is good. TV with a lot of channels compare to other hotels we stay before. The best part was the amazing infinity pool at 2nd floor. I will definitely go back again! See you soon BWP.

"Could have been a nice stay"

During booking of the room I had requested for a non-smoking room with king size bed, but during check-in I was told there is only a smoking room with king size bed available. I had paid the full price for 2 nights in advance during booking, so there was no reason not to reserve the non-smoking room. At first I thought it is ok, but the moment I opened the door & I was surrounded by strong smoking smell, I think the hotel had lost. Even after returning home we could smell the smoke in our clothes. Unfortunately the walls are also not that soundproof and our room neighbors got up at 5am and were talking loudly, that my sleep was also over. Except the above the hotel was quite nice. All staff has been friendly, the breakfast was good (maybe not as exceptional as mentioned by some other reviews), the pool is nice, there is a nice roof top restaurant and they even have a small clinic in the hotel in case you don't feel well. The location is away from anything, but a shuttle bus to Nagoya Hill & Mega Mall is provided (More regular during the weekend and less regular during weekdays.).

"Perfect getaway!"

This was all in all a great hotel! The location is not too far from the ferry terminal and it has everything you need in it - a rooftop bar, an infinity pool, jacuzzi, and even a massage parlour! I chilled in the hotel for the entire stay and felt like I hadn't even done enough! Honestly I went with expectations to just chill and relax but I got so much more out of it in the end - definitely will return!

"Probably the best hotel in Batam!"

Took the cheapest room yet it felt so luxurious! The breakfast spread is to die for! There are multiple live stations - sushi, omelette, waffles. There's even infused water and yoghurt drink. The only downside is the location. The nearest mall is Kepri Mall, 2.5km away. A cab ride would cost 60k rupiah. They have shuttle service to Nagoya and Mega Mall too, but prior reservation has to be made. If you miss the shuttle, the taxi would cost 100k to Nagoya. Quite expensive in my opinion. However, I would be back because the hotel facilities is just that good!

One of the best hotels I have ever stayed. Room was huge, nice and clean. Though it was far away from the mall, the hotel provides free bus rides to 2 big malls. I was there for business from Friday till Monday but didn't check-in till Saturday late night due to an overnight PABX installation. I felt very good to check-into this hotel and I had a well deserved rest. I highly recommend this hotel to all and will definitely book this hotel when I bring my family to Batam for a short vacation next time.

Got a room on the 8th floor. The room was superb. Its so much bigger than the normal Hotels that i used to patron. Pillows were super comfy and the bed was huge!! Not to mention, the lights and aircon are centrally controlled by the bed-side which was makes switching the lights on and off a breeze. They have a jacuzzi(though they call it a whirlpool) on the 2nd floor which is next to the infinity pool. Though theres not much of a view. But it sure does make for a nice instagram or facebook pic. Now, the best part, its the breakfast! Buffet style and their spread is out of this world!! You have so many varieties that you wont know what to choose. From local cuisine to western cuisine and even japanese cuisine. Highly recommended!! If this rating is solely Basedon the breakfast alone, i'll rate it 5 stars. Only downside is that its far away from everything. Nagoya hill is about a 15 mins taxi ride away and it'll set you back 100,000IDR(booked by hotel) though the journey back will set you back only 85,000IDR(taxi counter at nagoya). They do have shuttle buses but the trips really depend on demand. No demand, no trips. Meaning if you're the only one requesting that time, they'll most likely ask you to take a shuttle at a later time or go by the hotel taxi

This hotel is world class! All the facilities are relatively new and high tech! Staffs are polite and welcoming! Swimming pool has a great view! And don't forget to try out the massage place! Stayed only for a night but I must say the place is lovely. Staff were very friendly as well and we had a good time. Everything was perfect from the room up to the massage. My stay in Best Western Premier Panbil was nothing but the best! From the time I stepped into the hotel till I exited the hotel, the staffs around were very hospitable and friendly. They will always serve with smiles and also ever-ready to answer your queries! You know how one's experience is elevated when the staffs hospitality is at top-notch! Thank you to all the hardworking staffs over at Best Western Premier Panbil which made my stay a memorable one! Moving on to its facilities, Best Western Premier Panbil is one of the cleanest and newest facilities around! I stayed in a suite and was amazed by its minimalist and elegance concept! I can always take beautiful OOTD pictures in the room! Not forgetting the fact that, the hotel serves your cookies and fruits in between! For me, the bathroom is especially important and glad to say, they have one of my most ideal bathroom situation! Bed-linens were fresh and changed daily! To be honest, i would love to return back and then just spend my entire day in the hotel! I went to the swimming pool and roof-top bar as well. Amazing pool side with a view great for your eyesight! Its beautiful having to swim along with a view. I took so many beautiful pictures there! Roof-top bar is very spacious! Great band and awesome view during day and night! not forgetting the amazing food and drinks within it! Special shoutout to ESKA Spa which is located inside the hotel as well! I had the hot stone with herbal body massage and all i could say is it was my best life at that point of time. Top-notch massage skills with highly modernize furnishings just made me wanna keep going back. After that, well, i did went back for their hair services! yes, they wash and style your hair too! Love ESKA services. Staffs were very welcoming and manager came to host us from time to time. Special shoutout to Wakeboard Park Batam organized by Best Western premier panbil as well! (one of the highlight staying with this hotel because wakeboard is made available near the hotel!) Who comes to batam not completing an outdoor experience? i had the most amazing stay in the hotel and definitely be back again very soon! Oh, i forgot to mention, international breakfast was......AWESOME!! so much variety you will never be hungry for lunch! (I'm missing it already) Definitely going to recommend to my family and friends!!

Amazing getaway, the room is well decorated with a modern and luxurious feel, clean and organised. The rooms are spacious and the toilets are top notch! Check in was fast and hassle free, staffs are really polite and genuinely helpful. Breakfast was great with a huge variety of choices and delicacies. The facilities and amenities there are clean and well maintained, the infinity swimming pool is facing a great scenery and so is the bar at the top storey. Their in-house spa (Eska Spa) is really worth a visit as well, went for a massage, it was relaxing. Highly recommended, and will definitely come back again if I visit Batam!

Super awesome hotel located in the middle of batam. Definitely a place to stay in when you choose to travel to Batam! The journey from Ferry terminal to Hotel was a rather quick one. The check in procedure was incredibly fast, we got our rooms within seconds of filling up the form. Staff are really polite , gracious, sincere in their service & greetings. Loved the pool view and the fact that it had a hot tub built in, really cool! A super spacious karaoke room and a great selection of breakfast buffet. It is ideal for families and friends, even working class with the great range of amenities and service available.

"Fuss-free Getaway from Singapore"

Spent a night at Best Western after catching a ferry from Singapore. Hotel was just a short drive from the ferry terminal and has a convenience store just outside of it which closes only at 12am. Infinity pool with a great view was definitely a pleasant surprise as well. The much talked-bout Spa looked promising, but I arrived late and did not have a chance to experience the packages available - however, took a walk around and the place is definitely tranquil. Best part of Best Western? friendly employees all around who are happy to engage in conversations! Definitely perfect for friends or family trips!

"Amazing hotel in Batam"

This hotel is perfect for a quick get away. There is enough to do in the hotel itself because it includes a swimming pool, rooftop bar and a karaoke bar. In addition, the rooms are spacious and the beds (especially the pillows) make sure you sleep like a baby. The hospitality of the hotel employees is excellent, they are really warm and friendly and make sure you feel welcomed. All in all, a great hotel for a quick weekend getaway.

Stayed in the deluxe room, it's really new and clean! They have a very insta-worthy infinity pool! They also have spa and ktv, prices are really affordable. The staff are very attentive and helpful. Staff are pleasant and friendly which made us felt like we had made a correct decision to spend our weekend in this hotel. I always believe that attitude of a staff could make your staying more delightful. Scheduled shuttle bus provided to town areas which is quite convenient for guests who would like to travel to mega mall and nagoya mall. I guess distance of travelling from hotel to town would not a big issue if you check their shuttle schedule before travel to town. We are being asked to wait in the lobby for the shuttle and suprisingly their staff will approched personally to inform us that the bus was ready to go. Variety choices of breakfast that being served. Love their omelette the most. Nothing to be complaint about their facilities. Gym, infinity pool, sauna, wifi, and etc. with free access. Would be great if roof top bar added common draft beer like Heineken/Tiger etc. in their menu. We had local food instead of western, it tasted great. The room with lakeside view was great. Nothing to complain about the cleanliness. We will definitely back to this hotel for our next visit.

"A very nice place to stay"

We were pleasantly surprised by this hotel. We booked for a relaxing weekend and the hotel certainly helped deliver the relaxation we were looking for. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the rooms were comfortable and clean. There is also a lovely rooftop terrace which is great to have a few drinks and listen to the band in the evening. The breakfast was very busy, and hard to get a seat - probably because we were there over a holiday weekend - but overall we were impressed and would stay there again. It is not in a main town area, but getting taxis was not a problem.

"Super amazing!!!"

I stayed in a junior suite for two nights - it was amazing! The shuttle bus picked us up at Mega Mall on time, and the journey to the hotel was short. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, check in was done in no time. The room was extremely spacious, the bed was super comfy, and the view overlooking the lake was great - something we definitely wouldn't have gotten if we chose another hotel closer to Batam Center! We went to the rooftop bar for dinner on the first day, food was yummy and reasonably priced. The day that we went was also my birthday weekend and my friends surprised me with some arrangements they made with the hotel - when I went back to the hotel room the room was so super nicely decorated with balloons, rose petals and towel art in the form of swans and a birthday cake. It was super amazing! I got to meet the staff who was in charge of the decorations later on and he talked about how they spent 2h putting it together. It was really nicely done and I am thankful to have spent my birthday there! The breakfast buffet spread on the next day was satisfying, with a range of western and asian food. We went to the pool on the next. The lights in the pool at night made it really pretty, and the lounge chairs beside the pool were comfortable for chilling. Massage they had in-house provided by Eska Group was good and reasonably priced. We went during a peak period so we had to call a day in advance in order to book our appointment. We ordered room service for dinner - it was super reasonably priced, didn't differ that much from having it at the bar or at the restaurant downstairs. Service was fast and food was delivered nice and warm. Overall, I enjoyed my stay at the hotel and I would recommend anyone who is going over to Batam for a retreat to go there!

Fast check in to rooms. FOA was able to accomodate our request of having all our rooms on the same floor. One of our rooms was given with a better view and it was really nice as we could see the sunrise in the morning! Breakfast spread is great as there are alot of variety from oatmeals to pastries, kimbap, asian cuisine, cereals and such. Rooms are really nice and clean. Amenities are well provided. Requests for ironing board is made promptly in less than 15mins. Great gym facilities. Probably one of the biggest gym in the hotels in batam. Well equipped with hand towels, yoga mat, yoga ball, weights and such. The outdoor pool is really nice with a great view. Nice to go for a dip before the sunset! However housekeeping team should take note of the privacy please sign for the room. As one of the room attendants entered one of my room when the privacy sign was on. Hope the hotel could take note of this and improve on the procedure to avoid it from happening again. On the last day as we were walking to the lobby, there was a flash mob. Performance by the staffs of the hotel and it was really fun to see! Really nice to see a fun and supporting team! Thank you for the pleasant stay. Will definitely come back again! "A surprise stay"

We went as a company. It was a pleasant surprise to me as I didn't expect any hotel such as this in Batam. The service was impeccable from the ballroom to the restaurant. The staff were polite and friendly. I like that the rooms and amenities were in tact and I had enjoyed the hot showers every night. The spread for breakfast buffet was good and more. The aglio olio was tasty (I ordered via room service). I couldn't give it a 5 stars because I had encountered difficulties communicating to the reception via calls. The command of English was slightly poor and in the end, we had to wait longer for someone to take our requests. Otherwise, I had thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

"Nice room with great view"

Booked a junior suite for a night. Room was well furbished with a great view overlooking a lake and greenery. The tub in the room was huge much to the delight for tallies like myself. The hotel had a whirlpool jacuzzi that was hotspring-esque. While the rain prevented us from enjoying the infinity pool, the warm whirlpool proved to be a relaxing highlight on its own. Will definitely recommend best western panbil for couples looking to do a relaxing weekend getaway. It is a one-stop relaxation venue with Eska massage located on the 2nd floor.

Perhaps one of my most memorable trips to Batam because of this hotel accommodation (decided to pamper myself instead of staying in a budget resort). The service staff took the effort to ensure that our welfare was well taken care off throughout the trip. For instance, the staff was willing to pick my friends and I up from a shopping mall at even though the timing does not complement shuttle bus schedules. This simple initiative certainly goes a long way towards improving the hospitality service. The rooms were also very well maintained and clean - a place you would look forward to going after a long day of activities. Staff was also very responsive to our demanding room service, not to mention the consistent greetings each time we met. My next trip to Batam is already finalized with this hotel. Definitely a recommendation for anyone who wants an all rounded experience.

Room is new but the reno is on going on the next wing. Staff are very new and need to be more careful when handing with service hospitality. The purpose of service is to let the other feel safe and comfort, this is human interaction and experience of soft skill. "Amazing hotel with great view, great pool, great food!"

Rooms were new, service was beyond excellent! Although they were some hiccups during check in, it was rectified within 15 minutes and everything after that was a breeze! Great amenities within hotel which includes beautiful jacuzzi, infinity pool and great massage place (ESKA) where I did facial and had a great aromatherapy massage. Price was v reasonable, and on par with other massage houses in Nagoya district. This is a 5/10 minutes walk from Kepri Mall and about 15 minutes/20 minutes away from Nagoya Hill shopping mall area. Great spread for buffet breakfast I just cannot complain. If anything, I'll complain that I didn't stay long enough. Lol.

"Nice hotel, at a remote location"

Had a hard time trying to identify their free transfer service from mega mall as the vehicle does not have any hotel logo and do note you need to register prior your arrival(which I was not informed). BWP location was a bit remote, nearest shopping area is about 15mins drive. Room was huge and nicely decorated. Breakfast was so so, not much variety.

"Great place for a relaxing getaway!"

Visited over the weekend for a short vacation. The hotel was grand, very comfortable and provided great service at every instance. Rooms were cozy and clean, any calls for assistance are immediately attended to as well. Love the infinity pool and the heated jacuzzi is to die for! Also enjoyed a relaxing reflexology session after shopping. Overall a great experience !

Stayed for a day during August 2017 for a short getaway -- rooms are pristine, modern and no short of amenities. Superior room is spacious with rotatable TV, free minibar and a bathtub. View from the room was perfect, facing the Duriangang river. Hotel staff are extremely polite and friendly, and hotel also offers free shuttle services to Batam Center. Massage therapy services are top notch and highly affordable. Rooftop bar serves great local cuisine and cocktails. The breakfast menu is extremely impressive with a huge variety and the egg station is a must-try. Experience in this hotel overall has exceeded all my expectations and would definitely recommend everybody to visit!

"Perfect place for a relaxing getaway with a phenomenal view from the pool"

The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. The hotel staff was always hospitable and catered to every request that my friends and I made. Special mention to the Duty Manager on 6th August, Frwin, and Kiki from Guest Services for allowing us to check-out late - because of this, we managed to enjoy the phenomenal view from the infinity pool before taking our ferry ride home.

"Comfortable stay "

Stay was quite comfortable, with comfortable bed (pillows might be too soft), room slippers provided. Rooms relatively new. However room aircon was too cold when it was adjusted to higher temperatures and room view is limited (on the side of hotel facing another building not yet occupied). The hotel lobby is big and comfortable with many seats for resting. Welcome drink provided. Location is a little far from batam centre ferry terminal, however hotel provides shuttle service to specified locations (e.g. Nagoya mall) at certain timings. Bicycles are available from rental. There is a kepri mall about 5 min drive away from hotel, a mini supermart near the hotel car park. The restaurant at level 15 offers an even great view compared to level 2. The 1.2m deep pool offers a great view, non-swimmers will get to rest at the seats available at the swimming pool. Jacuzzi is also available opposite the pool. There is a mini garden on ground floor, with stone pebbles on ground for self foot reflexology. Hotel staff were generally helpful and friendly.

"Smiles Everywhere"

Stayed 1 night in this hotel. Business Hotel. Situated near the Batam industrial area. Greeted with smiles from the 1st security checkpoint of the hotel (staff of the hotel just making sure who is in the incoming transportation before manually removing the barricade which sometimes irritate the drivers because the checkpoint was situated in an awkward location of an uphill slope) I went on a weekday. Check in and out were fast and efficient. Pros - Majority of the staff speaks English, maybe not the housekeeping though. However, they always greeted you with their bright smiles! (not all staffs in Batam Hotel industry speaks English) - Do provide shuttle service to Mega Mall and Nagoya Mall (liaise with front desk, think they provide pick up service as well? Need to double check) - Love the bed and the interior of the room (Mine was Superior) - Number of choices on the cable TV. Cons - Nothing around the area within walking distance (It was ok for me as I was not planning on shopping). There is Panbil Mall driving distance around 10mins. (Taxi from hotel cost 50000rp for 1 trip). Panbil Mall is not really tourist spot, more to cater to the locals who are working around the area. There is the Ramayana Supermarket (Not as much product as in Matahari or Carrefour) Local eateries. - The only disappointing part is the food. It was not bad but maybe not to my preference. Had my dinner at the restaurant of the hotel. Ordered Seafood Hor Fun and Oxtail Soup. My Hor Fun was more vegetarian than seafood. It is still fine but the style of cooking not to my taste, Oxtail Soup not enough oomph. Morning breakfast, variety of choices, I like the gado gado the most. The others were decent (but again most food provided by hotels in Batam tasted almost the same). they go the extra mile of helping you with your coffee or tea. Overall enjoyed my stay in this hotel. Had a good rest. Nice and comfortable ambience. They do provide massage as well (offered by Eska, not too sure about the pricing though) You have a great pool of staff!

"Great for a short vacation"

Good package price. Filled with amenities for a relaxing experience. The hotel is at the top of a hill with a lobby that is grand and spacious giving a great first impression. Lobby is big enough for most, to relax with self service snacks and drink while waiting to check in. Toilet and rooms are clean and nice. Staff are friendly and courteous, do approach them for anything you need.

Quite a good stay. Everything was good. Nice view. Nice room nice places to take picture and cheap food. A supermarket nearby to get snack. Cons is the aircon cannot adjust or maybe just my room spoil. Tried increasing to 30C still very cold. Like a constant 20C. Off aircon still the same. Swimming pool was damn cold even when the blazing sun was out. Whirlpool hot, swimming pool cold. Pros. Nice view. Nice gym. Good service.

"Great Rooms, Poor Food Service"

The rooms and overall hotel amenities are excellent, with no complaints. However, with a supposed 4 Star hotel rating and paying 10% for service, there is a lot of room for improvement. 1) Dining on the roof top, food arrived with no placemats or cutlery 2) The Nachos came out of a packet and sprinkled with cheese, not heated or melted, until requested 3) Poolside - the lovely trainee was doing her best, but suffered some memory lapse trying to remember what was being ordered. No napkins with the food and when requested, came 30 minutes later with an apology. We were the only ones there. 4) Room service order of Apple Pie and ice cream came without the latter and promised, but did not arrive until re-requested and 40 minutes later. The apple pie looked like it had seen better days. What is the problem here? - Clearly the management need to invest more time, effort and caring in grooming and training their staff in exemplary service, commensurate with a truly 4 Star hotel. Hence the 3 "Average" Review rating, which would probably keep us away in the future and no glowing recommendations to others.

The hotel rooms are luxurious and well kept, with some offering fantastic views over Batam island. The International breakfast buffet is likely one of the best you can find in Batam with most dishes being very well executed. Finally, the service staff was always friendly and helpful whenever we needed directions or recommendations for activities that were available in Batam. Overall a fantastic stay in likely the best hotel within Batam. And all for an affordable price too.

I stayed here for a school trip with my 273 students and 12 other teachers. We started two nights and spent much time in the spacious conference rooms and ballroom doing teambuilding activities. Overall feedback from students and teachers alike ranked the hotel accommodation very positively. There was a clinic in the hotel which was manned by a nurse (the doc seemed to be occupied n away) The buffet breakfast was very decent with local and continental offerings. Also appreciated the hotel owner's son checking in on us. Personally I enjoyed an excellent body massage in the spa for a very reasonable price. There was a small glitch and I wasn't returned my booking deposit when I paid for the service. There was a karaoke lounge which we were hoping to use but had to pass up on as we hadn't the time/energy when it opened between 5-11 (or something like that) Lastly, I will like to come back for the infinity pool with a decent infinity view. Unfortunately, we didnt use the pool due to a rule of the school trip.

Like it very much, including the facilities (Swimming pool, sauna, steam room, fitness center, jazz lounge) Also not to forget the Eska Wellness Spa Massage and Salon. Good price for 2-in-1 (massage & facial) The hotel restaurant - Nasi Goreng Premier is superb. Super tasty and authentic taste. Free shuttle from/to Nagoya Hills Shopping mall. Great stay. Will stay again.

"Excellent Location for a Weekend Get-Away"

Have been to Best Western Panbil with group of friends for a 3D2N stay twice this year. First visit was in March, check-in procedure was smoothly executed and our reservations and additional requests for extra beds were all fully met. Furthermore, even though the SkyBar was closed for renovation then, the hotel had many other great facilities to offer such as the Infinity Pool, Jacuzzi, Karaoke and many more. (The Infinity Pool had a lifeguard on duty till roughly 7PM) Needless to say, the hotel staffs were great. Though English wasn't their first language, they will still be able to serve you well in a friendly and professional manner. The two rooms we had were simply perfect and there was nothing more that my friends and I would add. Rooms were reasonably spacious with strong wifi access from all corners of the room and lights were could be easily adjusted by bedside buttons. Beds were firm and comfortable while toilets were aromatic, squeaky clean and complete with all basic toiletries (toothbrush, disp. Shaver, comb). Last but not least, the hot showers were consistently available and did not disappoint. Our mornings always started off with a continental buffet style offering an incredible spread of Indonesian cuisine ranging from the Pempek, Bubur Ayam and Lontong Sayur. This is also accompanied by the cereal, fruits and egg station with ready-made food by the sides (Nasi Goreng, Mee Goreng) I personally enjoyed the classic chocolate milk with Ko Ko Krunch combo. Although, some local dishes like the Pempek could have definitely been fresher and hotter. As a whole, the breakfast experience we had at Best Western Panbil, Batam was very satisfactory. On check-out day, the procedures went on as smooth as the day we checked in. There were no issues and we discussed within the group about how we were definitely going to come back here again. Consequently we came back for our second visit in June and our experience was definitely as memorable as our first. Also, although the SkyBar just opened and although most of us don't consume alcohol, we still had a really incredible experience with the majestic view offered from the bar. So don't feel pressured for the need to drink at the bar and simply just immerse at the view it offers :). Would highly reccommend to anyone who is looking for a reasonably affordable weekend get-away in Batam. Cheers from Singapore!

"Doesn't even deserve a star"

This hotel doesn't even deserve a star and I'll explain why. It's HORRIBLE. That's what we've experienced so far, still staying here as I write this. Horrible 1. Check-in was a nightmare. Apparently the front desk could not get their facts right. When I asked if the room I've booked faces the lake, the staff said all executive rooms faces the lake but he actually meant executive "Suites". I got a horrible shock when I arrived at the room as expectations were set. Fine. I accepted the room nonetheless since it was what I paid for. Horrible 2. The rooms weren't ready when we arrived at about 11.45pm. Reasonable. And the lady at the counter suggested us to take their hotel shuttle to Nagoya Hill Shopping and said that the shuttle leaves at 12pm. We waited at the hotel lobby until 12.15pm and no one called us. I had to walk up to the reception and ask if the shuttle has left only to realize that they had forgotten to arrange for it. Horrible 3. We checked in at 3.30pm and their system was down so we had to wait AGAIN. As an executive guest, the front desk should inform us what privileges am I entitled for. I still had to prompt her to explain to us what can we can enjoy. What kind of executive club service is this!? If your staff have no time to explain at least prepare a letter to explain the privileges. Why are we paying double the normal room charges for!? Horrible 4. The staff have horrible knowledge of their own hotel. First the rooms, then the timing of their so-called afternoon tea and evening cocktails. The lady at the counter told us it's at 4pm to 5pm but when we went up to the lounge at 4.15pm, no one was there. Air-con off, lights off. What kind of executive lounge is this!? I called the duty manager to clarify and he apologized told us that cocktail starts at 5pm and ensured that someone will be there if we go up. We just arrived at 5pm, the lounge was empty, and everything was off. Nobody is there. Until after a while someone came in to serve us things from the menu in a hotel restaurant. Which is very odd. This is not the first time we stay in a hotel with club facilities. Horrible 5. I'm still waiting for service recovery from the duty manager, Sharil who seems cannot be bothered.

On checking in to the hotel I was given a very warm welcome by the staff and special mention to Mr Keken who is the front office manager. Mr Keken and his staff when the extra mile to assist me in my surprise wedding decoration of my room. Mr Keken thank you for making my day. This is call customer service to the perfection. "New 4.5 star Batam hotel"

Great stay with free minibar and nespresso in all rooms. Still on soft launch since Jan '17, I think with my promo price and Executive Lounge privileges thrown in, there wasn't a better deal for the timing of my trip to Batam. Very comfortable bed and bathroom. If one is looking for convenience to the usual shopping haunts, it may seem far but they do have a shuttle bus service to the usual haunts. As this wasn't the purpose of my trip to shop, I loved this hotel and staff. Great infinity pool view of the island.

The hotel staffs are very friendly. I did not ask for room with good views, but the staff (forgotten her name) mentioned the different kinds of views to me and even recommend to me some of the better views. Then during the stay, as and when I needed in-room service, the staffs delivered my request promptly. The Nasi Goreng is highly recommended! The check-out is prompt and the staff even asked if I need transportation to the ferry terminal. I am very pleased with my staycation at Best Western.

Best Western is just a short drive from Batam Centre ferry terminal / Mega Mall and Nagoya. And Kepri Mall is just minutes away if you need a quick fix for your craving for Nasi Padang. Can't emphasize enough about the decor and cleanliness of the room. I was given a room which I thought must be one with the best view! Love to stay in there all day long. Definitely coming back for a longer stay!

"Best new hotel in batam and worth for the price"

One of the best brand new hotel in batam. Although the location may not near the city or nagoya, however the hotel has free shuttle bus to nagoya or megamall every 2 hour ( travel time around 20-30 min). Therefore is doesn't really matter for me as the my main goal is to have a short gateaway. The hotel itself has a greenery view infinity pool, jacuzzi, ESKA massage, family KTV(totally cheap as fee is charge by room and rooftop lounge( great view at night). One small KTV room about sgd 9 per hour including tax, while the space can fit like 10ppl). It has chinese, english and korean song. Although it may not so advance in song list, but wat to expect more with just $9 for a room. For the lounge, the price is cheap as well. Therefore, you can have hair cut at $18 (wash+cut+blow), shop at nagoya with last pick up at 8pm (the shuttle bus is not those big bus bt is a small van with the heart warming driver to make sure you are pick up when they drop you off. Their morning international buffel is fabulous as it's like a 4 star hotel standard. Lobby always have juice and fruit water refreshment and even some curry puffs during tea time. Their wifi is high speed and good coverage. Definitely will recommend to friends and come back again.

Hotel staff conducted themselves professionally throughout my stay! The hotel has various amenities for families friends and couples to spend time together e.g.the whirlpool, infinity pool, spa, ktv, etc. The malls were easily accessible with the free shuttle that goes to Nagoya hill and mega mall! To top it all off the view of the lake from the room was majestic! The rooftop bar also served food at very reasonable prices ! Overall very very happy with the service ! Will come back!

good things about the hotel: - not far away from ferry yet in a quiet surroundings - hotel staffs are all friendly the service is good - the bed and mattress - breakfast - the ESKA spa at the 2nd floor is really good value for money bad things -sound proof of the room is really bad, i can hear my neighbour doing business, luckily they didn't during late night - i pressed the privacy button when i left the room for breakfast, when i back to the room i see staff cleaning my room , did i say no to disturb already? - no security check

We stayed for 1 night at this hotel and the entire experience was amazing. Although we were about an hour early for check-in, the reception staff checked us in right away and we were able to go up to our rooms. When we entered, we were served a refreshing glass of juice that felt awesome after experiencing the Batam sun. The service staff were friendly, professional and really went out of their way to attend to your needs. I loved the non-smoking rooms and how everything was really clean and fresh :D We also visited the spa and the restaurant on the 15th floor while we were there. The spa was an amazing experience and the masseuse was also very caring and professional, constantly checking in with me to make sure I did not feel any discomfort whatsoever during the massage. The quality of food at the restaurant is excellent, and I would particularly recommend the mushroom soup which is really delicious. All in all, I am definitely going to come back to Best Western Premier for my next visit to Batam-- and I'm already hoping the next visit will be soon :)

We stayed for 2 nights at this new hotel as a weekend getaway. Our stay was definitely beyond expectations. It was a perfect staycation - think tranquility and rejuvenating. Location: It's a new hotel located in the Panbil industry area. Most of the rooms are overlooking the lake and undeveloped forest area which we love. There's a small minimart just opposite the hotel which makes it convenient for guests to grab snacks or necessities. It's a perfect haven for us since we just want to be away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Batam Centre is just a short 15 mins taxi ride away and I like that we can just book a Bluebird Taxi to pick us up at the lobby unlike other hotels in the city. In addition, the hotel provides complimentary shuttle services to Nagoya and Megamall for guests which we manage to utilize 2x during our trip. Check-In: Checking in was a breeze. We were served welcome drinks upon reaching the lobby. However, FO staffs could be much more friendlier and welcoming. Most of the staffs we've met are definitely welcoming and serve with a smile. The service lifts require us to tap our keycard to access the levels which gives an added security. Rooms: We've booked the Superior Room and was assigned a room on the 9th floor, overlooking the lake which we love! The room is cozy and more than sufficient for 2 pax. We love the functional lights buttons by the bedside table which serves its practical function and we could basically assess all the lights in the room without getting out of the bed. Cleanliness was top notch as well. Facilities: We love the infinity pool that we swam for 3 consecutive days throughout our stay. They come with a kids size pool as well as adult pool. Definitely family-friendly to keep the young ones occupied. We tried the in-house Eska Spa as well and it's good! The hotel comes equipped with a Karaoke lounge which we did not get to try it. Basically, we can spend an entire day at the hotel without even getting out. The room service menu looks good too. But unfortunately, we did not get to try it and ordered Gojek food delivery instead. Breakfast: We had complimentary breakfast at the ground floor dining area. On our first day, we woke up slightly later and were left with not much food option. However, the second day spread was awesome (probably due to lesser diners on a Monday morning). Conclusion: Overall, despite its location, we enjoyed our stay thoroughly and would not hesitate to return and recommend it to our friends and families. However, I personally thought that more thorough vehicle checks with the use of metal detectors should be in place (like most hotels I've stayed in Jakarta do) to minimize security lapses. My taxi was not checked at all out of so many times I went in and out of the hotel. In addition, the presence of the metal detector at the front gate was not utilize at all and there was nobody checking guests' belongings. It will be better to enforce such stringent checks in future.

Went to batam over the weekend and stayed at this hotel with my Gf. The junior suite was awesome and comfy. The wifi was fast and the amenities are good! Would stay there again!! Free shuttle service back to the mall /ferry terminal too!

The view of the lush green fields from our room was amazing! The room was big, clean, and very comfortable. Our room also had a really big bathtub and rain shower. The Spa and rooftop bar within the hotel were affordable and offered great service. Moreover, the staff were helpful and thoughtful. If you're bored, the hotel also has a shuttle service to nearby malls, as well as to the ferry terminal. Overall I had a really relaxing respite in the Hotel.

The rooms are spacious and the beds are comfortable. Facilities are great and the service is excellent! My wife and I really enjoyed the view from our room and we shared a bottle of wine ordered from room service. Excellent too I must add. Strongly recommend for any visitors to Batam!!!

Overall a fantastic experience, definitely recommended. The hotel is easily accessible, by car it is about 15 mins away from the terminal, 15 mins to Nagoya Hill shopping mall, and there are a few smaller malls around it. the staff were really friendly, the check in was smooth and we were able to go up to the room pretty quickly. The hotel room was amazing, clean, comfortable and the wifi was fast. Actually it was fast all around the hotel, not just the rooms. The roofttop bar is a must, the drinks and food were both delicious and affordable! We had lunch there and decided to come back to have dinner and a few drinks. I had a great time there and I would love to come back again.

The first steps into the lobby was awe-inspiring with marble floors and a well decorated ceiling. We were greeted at the door and once again at the reception counter where the friendly staff checked us in. The lobby had complimentary infused water with comfy lounge chairs in case anyone needed/wanted to sit and chill. The rooftop bar was overlooking a lake that you unfortunately cannot see at night but you will be able to see the night view of Batam city which makes it a romantic spot for a short getaway. Overall, i was very surprised at the standards of service and amenities for the price i paid (5 star amenities at 4 star price). 11/10 will stay again!

I was in Batam for a short getaway. A friend had recommended that I book this hotel and it lived up to my expectations. Got a lovely suite overlooking the lake and the staff were friendly and polite. In particular, the receptionist was extremely helpful, having acceded to several of my last minute requests regarding the booking. The room was comfortable in every way. Clean and stylish. I had also ordered room service in the middle of the night and gotten good food and efficient service. The hotel has great amenities that I recommend future patrons to fully utilise - the spa, gym and infinity pool. Definitely a great way to start or end the day if you have other activities. Not forgetting the incredible rooftop bar overlooking the vast landscape. My time with Best Western Panbil was fantastic and I will certainly return another time!

I'm a photographer and I travel to Batam few times a year from Singapore, and my friend told me this was a new hotel and asked me to try. So I did and I was pleasantly surprised at the cleanliness, high service standards and also the facilities at the hotel! The gym is well maintained, very clean and nice infinity pool, and also a very breathtaking view overseeing a forest and a lake. And the room I had gave me a really nice view of the sunrise as well. Rooms are clean and very nicely designed with ample power plugs to charge my phone and cameras. The hotel is only 10mins away from Batam Center and they even provide shuttle bus transfers to malls which really made things very convenient. I'm in the midst of planning a business meeting at this hotel currently and I'll be back with another review for business travellers!

We booked 4 rooms 2 months before our trip through agoda and got the confirmation. However on check in, we were told that the hotel in overbooked, along with approximately 20 other guests! It was an obvious scam as they conveniently have another 1 star hotel nearby to house all of us, EVEN AT NO EXTRA CHARGE. Even if we did move to the 1 star hotel, they wouldn't refund us the difference in price. The exterior and the newness of the hotel might get you at first, but with the way they conduct their business, I would never stay at this or the other affiliate hotels ever.

When we arrived at Best Western Premier Panbil Hotel (BW), we were informed that BW had RUN OUT OF ROOMS. Edwin, the manager of BW, was in charge of speaking to us. From conciliatory, he became defensive, and then became outright aggressive. He told us that this was the complete fault of Agoda because they had told Agoda not to accept bookings anymore (we made our booking two months back) and all they could do was to put us up at a third rate hotel (we were given two downright crummy choices) and that any differential in price was to be born by us solely??? I told him that we had just corresponded with Agoda about our booking a week ago, during which Agoda had confirmed with us that Agoda and BW would be (i) cancelling one room and (ii) an extra bed would be added to one of the rooms, as confirmed by Jerry of the Reservations Department of BW) AND two weeks ago I had called BW and was informed that (i) they could find my booking under my name and (ii) they could not amend the booking for me/ make a new booking for me and any booking had to be made through Agoda. In addition to what I had just mentioned, I saw a list on the BW's reception desk which clearly stated my name and my room bookings! How could BW then say that they had not received my booking? I guess they must have realised that denying my booking existed was going to be futile (which hotel which is very sure that the booking doesn't exist would offer me an alternative hotel?) because MAGICALLY they provided us with a villa down the hill. Which hotel which really doesn't have any record of your booking would provide you with alternative abode? Anyhow, this may sound like good compensation but we came in a group of 9 people and we were forced to squeeze into three rooms with three of us sleeping on mattresses on the floor. We were promised a brand new hotel which had just opened in 2017 but instead we were getting a run down bungalow deep in the middle of a residential estate with no security service, no porter and no staff to assist us. We were provided with a van but a van which my 88 year old grandmother can barely climb up and down from. We were promised hot water but instead we have cold water which trickles down from a tap in a dingy toilet. Instead of room service, we got a toilet which had been used regularly and recently as there are 2 used shavers, 1 soiled toothbrush and a tub of exfoliating gel in it. This is a horrible HORRIBLE place to live in and we never would have taken it if not for the fact that it is a public holiday and there are no other hotels available. If BW had acted responsibly, perhaps we wouldn't have been stranded without baggage for 90 minutes in a hotel lobby and we, including elderly, wouldn't be staying in dingy, desolate and dirty villa on the outskirts of town. Now we are back in our town but BW has refused to reply any of our calls or emails, including that of Agoda (the booking agent). It's okay to be wrong, but it's downright despicable to pretend like nothing has happened. Long story short - this place make look glamorous but if you don't want to be left without a hotel/avoid being screamed at by an incompetent manager, you would do better staying somewhere else.

stayed in executive suite on last weekend. no crowd so check-in process is very fast. all staffs is very polite and greet us upon our arrival. welcome drink was given when we arrived in the hotel. hotel provide free shuttle services from batam city terminal to nagoya hill mall & mega mall, need to make reservation at the check-in counter. limited time slot and seats due to the vehicle is MPV. executive suite room is very spacious and big. variety of TV channels. a wide range of breakfast spread. Eska spa located at level 2 is good, as their services is excellent. the only downside of the room is soundproof of the room, you can hear the slamming door sound of other hotel guest. will stay again when i come back to batam.

We went there for a short 3 days trip as it was a long weekend. We book the executive suite. Very nice and cosy room. In room dining service was good and fast. We were also given early check in. However we stayed on the third floor and every night we can hear the noisy karaoke from the floor below us. We didnt really mind it though. Will definitely come here again!

Stay date: May 1 to 3, 2017 - It's my post birthday celebration that's why decided to have a staycation and first time to experience Batam Indonesia. Feel excited since I know that booked a room from an established chain of hotel which is Best Western. I chose this hotel compare to Radisson since I want to try the product. Front Office - Guest Services & Reception. Arrived at the hotel at 1530hrs Batam Indonesia time (1630hrs SG time) and disappointed immediately since without no greetings even just a simple good afternoon was given to us a courtesy. We approached reception and not also acknowledge. The first word we heard is Checking In? Rather a greetings or how may I assist you? At check in we waited and found out that the room is not ready (1530hrs) and check-in time is 2 pm. It's fine for us to wait since we don't want to ruin our time and our mood, however, the worst is no apology was given to us or offer a seat or any alternative offer. As a guest, we need to know our entitlements and even upon check in there's no information given prior to our reservation in an Executive room. As we're standing in front of the reception I asked the receptionist if we can wait for our room in Executive Lounge since we are tired and just to have some relaxation. We just inform that the club is in 15th floor. Thought everything was ok and it's fine to wait for the room and since we can have some drinks as club entitlements in the club. Upon reaching the club floor, surprise that still no one greets us or offer us a seat. We just asked if we have a reservation. That's quite strange rather than offer us a seat. As Executive room guest, clearly stated in our reservation a club access and light refreshment, however, nothing was served to us. As waited for our room seating at the lounge without any offered drinks we just patiently seated and just wait for our room. At 1615hrs, our room key was given to us with a complimentary upgrade to Junior Suite which 1 category up from Executive Room which I'm not asking and when I ask cause we're fine with our room that we reserved and we just need is the original room that we reserved and the entitlements that we paid, however, our room still not ready that's why they gave us an upgrade. We just left the executive lounge without any service that we are thinking from a club lounge, a really disappointing moments. We also encountered a lady receptionist (with name started as letter N - apology not to mention the full name, however, hope management needs to know that this lady cannot be in the front line) that look us a tiger look, very fierce and looks she likes to eat us since we raised our concern with her colleagues. She never nods or greeted us when we approached the Reception counter. Another very disappointing experienced. Upon reaching our room 1119, yes I can say that the room is a luxury. Design perfectly with a great interior design which is superbly satisfactory. Suite Room - Amenities & beddings are well set up. The bed is perfectly set up with 4 comfortable pillows. The bathroom is well designed too, however, there is a sewage smell which intermittently you can smell especially in the night time. We informed to Reception about the issue and once again no apology and they just inform that they will inform the Duty Manager. Another downfall of service which honestly all they need is to offer a technical team to check or someone to show that they are concern with our well being. We just let it past and just closed the bathroom door. While we are getting to sleep around approximately 8 pm, we're just bothered with a loud hammering and knocking above our room and it's really caused inconvenience. We called reception and asked politely till what time the construction going maybe they can stop it since it's already late. I was informed that they will inform to Duty Manager. After a while, I received a call from the DM and he told us that the construction noise is coming from the other building which is quite annoying since we clearly mentioned to the receptionist that the noise is coming from above our room itself. I mean he can ask apology first and next is to investigate where is the noise coming and make an action. No apology was given to us once again for this. F&B- The only best here is the main restaurant waiter such as Hermansya, Allan, Lucia, Cecep and the Restaurant Captain who have a kind attitude and trying to their best to give us great service. Their capability or knowledge in F&B is not that broad or I can say that they don't have adequate training. The sequence of service is not there however by a good trainer they can be an excellent one coz of their positive attitude. There's no hostess to welcome you and usher, it's again downfall of service. Lacking in all aspect. Breakfast Buffet - Superbly lots of choices and daily main dish served different menu. International sets of fine cuisine that surely enjoyable to have a healthy breakfast. The lobby is amazing however sewage smell is presence and you can smell it everywhere. Communication? Lack of understanding in English language. Duty Manager who attends us didn't know how to attend and solve the issue that we're having. He never place his shoes to ourselves. Didn't care for our wellbeing and never offered an alternative or anything when we discussed our supposed to have club guest entitlements. He just informs us that he just new and hotel is new and the service that we are discussing with him is from other hotel and not at this hotel. When we heard that we just keep silent and let the days pass and finish our stay, look for something that we can make out stay a memorable one since giving a constructive feedback is useless. We're waiting for a call from Duty Manager since I also mentioned the foul sewage smell, however, no action or service recovery given. Housekeeping - Superb, deserved to be recognized and appreciated. They did a great job especially the one attended us. Turn down is a surprise. Surely appreciated their kind service with a human touch. Operator - Hard to reach and most of the time no one is answering our call. They don't have standard 3 rings someone will answer the phone, however, in this hotel, they don't have that standard. At one instance, our coffee machine is not working when we want to drink coffee. At last, someone answers the phone after 10 minutes of trying. The worst thing is the operator is not willing us to assist instead she just want to transfer our call to engineering and we are the one to speak with them with regards to our concern, really don't know what kind of customer service they have. My only main concern with this is if emergency cases and no one is picking up the phone, whom we can call? Engineering - Deserved to be recognized too when he attended us and fixed our coffee machine in the room. Spa - the information for the package such as Champagne as a welcome drink is misleading since when we get the package for the Spa, instead of Champagne we received a Sparkling red wine. The most unprofessional service is also when my 3 messages or email sent to them directly on their website which there is an option to contact them. I sent 3 messages/email, however, all of them was not been reply. My post birthday and honeymoon celebration was really not been a memorable cause of the shortfall services of this hotel. Verdict: A very luxurious property, however, lacking in all customer service especially the Front Office. No human touch. With all my respect and not to discriminate, Communication is also a big problem, they can't understand English. Comfortability is great especially the bed and room. TV reception is blurred, cannot watch my fav channel like HBO, they need to switch to High Definition. Don't book Executive or Suite rooms cause it's a lost of money since there's no package at all that other hotels can offer to club guest, just book an ordinary room since bedding are very comfortable. They are still on construction period and noise is always present.

Our first day were a nightmare as our booking via agoda didn't went through. My husband and I were speechless and had no choice to agree to stay at a 3 star hotel as there were the only available rooms on that day that Best Western manage to arrange for us. We managed to speak to the front office manager, Me. Keken, about our feelings and that it suppose to be a birthday trip for my husband. He spoken his remorse and said that he will try his best to arrange a room for us the next day. My husband refused as it was a hastle for us and in fact we didn't even want to go back there. But Mr. Keken said "give us a chance to make your birthday a memorable one", however, since he said he would try we thought theres no harm just to agree. However, by 12nn next day we didnt receive any call, so we thought we didnt get any room. At 4pm, Mr. Keken called us and asked us to prepare and get ready as he has arranged a special room for us. My husband was overjoyed as we entered a big room that is fully decorated with ballons and "Happy Birthday" messages. They even provide an absolutely delicious cake with my husband's name on it. On top of that a candle light dinner were specially arranged for us too. We were so thankful and appreciate of Mr. Keken for arranging all these and really made our day especially my husband's. Its not about the incident that happened, its about the passion that he has to make the guests happy. It was definitely a memorable birthday for my husband. For the first time we felt important without need to make any noise or complain. Ps: i only have 1 problem with the lift cos its like touch screen and it just doesnt 'touched' when we tried to 'press' the ups and downs 'button' maybe its too hi-tech and i need more practice on it.

I booked my hotel in Batam for 2 nights and I arrived with no room available for me. I was told there is another 9 booking like mine via agoda on the same day and another 30 rooms the next day had no place to stay for the whole weekend. Agoda did not contact us when the hotel is fully occupied and I was told to stay at this cheapo Budget hotel or I have to take the next ferry back. And I was told I have to pay for this hotel too. So I ended up in a. Budget hotel for 1 night and listen to people pass by the corridors all night. The hotel manager is rather helpful but nothing much he can do already, as per agoda? No reply from them since Saturday

Booked this hotel in a month advance and credit card payment was charged. Arrived hotel at 4pm however being informed hotel fully booked and there was no room for us. Waiting at hotel lobby and noticed total 16 guest also having same situation. Hotel management and Agoda pointing fingers at each other. Totally unpleasant experiences. First time and also last time for this hotel and Agoda.

Had an excellent stay in the hotel which is only a quick 15 minutes drive from the ferry terminal. The ambience is excellent, large space and comfortable environment, very impressive for a new hotel. Best experience was the soft fluffy beds, which definitely reinvigorated one's body, which was the whole idea of the trip. Will visit again!

Check-in: 14April17 Good Friday We cleared the custom at Batam Center at 2.45pm but the driver was nowhere to be seen. We asked the locals to help to call to the hotel only to know that the driver went to the wrong ferry terminal. By the time we reached the hotel lobby, it was already almost 4pm. Q at the reception counter was long and by the time we got our keys, it was near to 5pm. We have make booking during NATA Travel fair for 4 rooms requesting for connecting rooms and one King bed room but upon checking in, we were given all twins bedding rooms at smoking floor and without connecting. Quite disappointing but we accepted it since they promised room change on the 2nd day. We were glad that the hotel make special arrangement to shuttle us to/from Nagoya mall but it would be good if BCS mall is included in the route. Breakfast is good. Some service staffs took the initiative to find seats for guests who came in late. It would be ideal if there are blinds to shield from the morning sun ray shinning in. Bed is comfortable and clean. Many TV programmes to choose. Pool is nice but the chlorine is too strong. Overall I would rate our stay is GOOD but I would not stay in this hotel in my next vacation cos it is not located near any malls or shops in terms of walking distance, even the nearest kepri mall (driving is 5min) takes about 30min walk.

During check-in, greeted at the front desk by a female staff with a face ran over by a bulldozer and talked to you like you owed the hotel a great deal of money. (will not mention name to protect the identity of the staff) The free shuttle service is disappointing, arrived at meet up point on time but was told to come back 6 hours later or you can pay for your own transport. The free shuttle promotion sign had very confusing timings and the staff in charge coordinating the shuttle service has no customer service at all. We were basically turned down and he just walked away. (again, will not mention name to protect the identity of the staff) In the end, we took private taxis around. Came dinner, we waited for an hour for dinner to arrive! Although the staff was apologetic but the whole experience was just terrible. The cleanliness is quite good considering it's a new hotel but the management has to work more on professionalism and customer service. This doesn't reflect the quality of a 4 star hotel, seems like the staff doesn't really care much about customer service. Are your staff overworked? Is this Best Western corporate culture?

"Nice Hotel and new"

Only about 15min drive from Batam center ferry terminal. I like the view from my room, the swimming pool and and lake. The room is nice decorated, good amenities, cold airconditioning. Was unfortunated to be rooming beside neighbour with many kids and they started shouting and jumping from 6am onwards... despite the good sound proofing they could still be heard and woke me up. It was a long weekend in Singapore, thus the hotel was full. There was no table available for breakfast, the staff member at the entrance of restuarant expected us to look for our own table. Luckily one or two service staff in the restaurant were helpful and set up a small table for us instead. The pool (outdoor) and jacuzzi (warm water) were nice. Went to the rooftop for a drink and relaxed in the batam night view. The dinner at the cafe was nice too. Overall food in the hotel was good. The down side? The TV quality is bad. The rain shower was good but it had a tap below it that endanger one to knock into and get bruises, design was really questionable. Asked housekeeping to open safe box for us so that we could use it, after waiting for an hour and no one came despite 2 calls, we went ahead with our program without waiting. The shuttle service is only meant for shopping; Only 4 trips with 2 hours interval; 12 seaters shuttle service and only available if you pre-book it to ensure vacancy. Main Entrance staff could not speak English, our car came to pick us up but was chased away by the guard while I was getting out of the settee at the main lobby; When I came out to ask where he sent my driver and car to, he brushed me aside and walked away. I asked another the conceige staff but he also did not understand me. Luckily my driver parked and came to speak with me to wait, he had to go fetch the car and come get me again. Apparently, he refused my car from waiting at the front door to pick me up and insisted he park the car. (Meanwhile, another private car was allowed to park at the entrance to go up to the hotel and the car was there for 10minutes.) The guy at the front entrance is often fierce and unfriendly... Call to reception from Room took very long to answer, it would be better to see them in person as they service in person is good... I sent an email hoping to arrange for a pickup by the hotel... no reply. Overall, I will still go back again as my main concern is often, food, safety, cleanilness and newness of facilities...

Stayed in the hotel for 2 nights over the Easter holidays. It is located about 10-15min drive from Batam Centre terminal (taxi fare 80000RP). Since it is a new hotel, the taxi driver we took mistook it for another hotel and we ended up making one big round. Check-in process was average. As we checked in late at 8pm (which we had informed as special request) our room request was not fulfilled so we were given twin beds instead. On our second day when we came back to the hotel from shopping at 4pm, there were long queues at the reception so check-in can be slow during peak period. Deposit of 500000rp is required either by cash or card. Room size was average. There is an armchair but no coffee table. The room is new but it was a little dusty. The twin beds were comfortable. The bathroom was small. It had rainshower but water pressure was bad, and there is a tap jutting out just below the rainshower making it uncomfortable to shower with the tap poking. We booked the deluxe room with a lake view so we were greeted with a beautiful sunrise every morning and nice view of the pool at night. For shopping and food, Kepri mall is the nearest mall but it is not within walking distance. There is a minisupermarket just beside the hotel though which opens until midnight. It is about 25mins from nagoya hill mall and taxi fare would cost 100000rp (which we bargained to 90000rp). We took the shuttle service which we had registered for upon check-in but it had no system. I think that others who did not register for the service boarded it so the minivan was quickly full. One of the concierge however drove six of us guests there in a 7-seater car. Dinner at the hotel restaurant was at a reasonable price and quality was good. Breakfast was superb with a great spread and delicious food. On the last day, however, there was the holiday crowd so it was very crowded. Didn't know seats could be reserved for breakfast as I wanted to sit at an empty table but a waitress came with a reserved sign and I had to vacate it. Room service was a total disappointment. We waited an hour and called to ask for the status of our order. They said they would check and call back. We waited for another hour before calling to cancel the order. The spa was good but the jacuzzi bath was small. The swimming pool and rooftop bar had nice ambience and the jacuzzi whirlpool was warm. There is only one lift lobby and 3 elevators so with the holiday crowd, it can take a while for us to take the lift. Most of the staff was quite friendly. The waiter at the hotel restaurant was friendly and attentive. He got us a small bun when we told him we were famished. Overall, it is a new hotel that needs a few adjustments. We would consider staying there again during nonpeak period.

Our room during the stay was fantastic. The bed was really soft and comfy. In overall, the hotel looks clean and new. Hotel staff were friendly and check in was quite smooth, without much hassle. Will definitly visit again!

The room is great! The beds are extremely comfortable and bouncy. I like that they use wooden flooring instead of carpets, it feels really clean. The bathroom is also clean! The wifi around the hotel is stable and the TV has a great variety of channels. The location is a distance away from Nagoya but there is a free shuttle bus from the hotel or another alternative, you can book a 7-seater hotel taxi for you to go anywhere, we even catered the taxi to fetch us back at night from Nagoya. Just book directly it at the receptionist, it is very convenient. The breakfast food is awesome. I give it a plus point for serving us freshly brewed coffee that was served by a barista. I personally enjoyed the various pastry and cakes. After breakfast, my friends and I chilled at the swimming pool and some of them also used the free gym, that filled with complete equipment! There is Eska there if you don't want travel far for spa and massage but since we were rushing for our ferry, we decided to do Eska at Megamall instead.

Hotel is very nice - Abit out of the way with nothing to do nearby e.g. Eating or shopping. However check in was terribly slow !!! We had a group of about 16 so u can imagine how long we had to wait !!

Location: Not the nearest to batam ferry terminal Hotel is relatively new, good service, fast check-in. Request for iron and ironing board is done quickly. Hotel provides a wide range of amenities. There's bathrobes, toilet amenities, hotel slippers, mini bar, weighing scales, extra pillow etc available in the room. Room is great, with lighting and aircon control right by the bed. USB charging ports available by the bedside table too. TV channels provided are acceptable. A very cosy room. Connecting rooms available. Toilet - Shower rain Not much view from room. Not much noise around the hotel - very good. In-room dining abit on the pricier side. Breakfast is great, wide range of cuisines. Pastries, pancakes, cereals, rice, noodles, yogurts and some kuih and indonesian cuisines. Love the breakfast spread especially the pastries. Swimming pool is really pretty at night, sauna and steam rooms available too. Karaoke rooms available at an affordable price. Karaoke room is huge and can fit around 12 people. Convenience store is available right in front of the hotel. Overall, it has been a pleasant first stay. Hotel feels luxurious and room is well equipped with amenities. Will definitely stay here again!

I've been to Batam a few times and tried a couple of hotels, and I can easily say that Best Western hotel is the best hotel in Batam for me. Everything there is new and modern - the bed is really comfortable! My room was facing the lake and we get to see the sunrise! Best Western hotel has great amenities - infinity pool, heated jacuzzi, rooftop bar, karaoke and even an Eska Wellness spa branch...which means you don't have to travel out for affordable massage and spa treatments. There's also a mini-mart (almost like a supermarket) 2mins walk away, which you can get beer, indomie and snacks! My friends and I had dinner and breakfast at the hotel restaurant and we all think that the food was pretty good. Overall it's a pleasant stay and I would definitely recommend this hotel to my friends and family.

Even though we got a low floor room, we were surprised to see an amazing view still. Room was clean, toilet was spacious. Nice range of tv channels as well. Breakfast buffet spread was good too :) best in batam ive been to so far

I tell a long story about this hotel : Before Check in, a night before i called the reception to confirm my booking. 3 times called, nobody answer. And when its answered already, she direct me to somebody else and I have to wait quiet long until somebody picked up. Then that person ask me to call again in 10 minutes. So i did call in another 10 minutes, and after waiting to be directed for so long, they picked up and said "we cant check ur booking, pls call again tomorrow". The next day, prior to my check in around 11 am, i called them again to confirm my booking. But the girl who never mention her name said that i have to call in the next 10 mins. Then i said i have been waiting for the confirmation and a bit angry. So they direct us to (actually available) reservation. Ok then my booking confirmed. Upon check in around 3 pm I come, they said that the system is down and have to wait for 30 mins. So after waiting and come to reception desk again, they said the wrong booking arrangement. And i asked for connecting room, they said its available but only 1 room is ready, another room have to wait for 30 mins since the housekeeping still cleaning it up. After 30 mins of waiting, they not even coming to us (since we wait in lobby for another room). So I come to them again, and they said the connecting room is not available because the guest using that room is extending their stay. Well, if thats the case why the reception told me that the room is cleaned up by the housekeeping? Upon payment and deposit process, they mention the wrong amount for my booking, 100,000 more expensive than what it should be. When i said its not it, they seems to not believing me. So i show them the e-mail from the reservation that mention the price of the room, only then they believe me. Finally they find another room for us and its just next to each other but not connecting. I thought im going to get the key right away. But nope. I have to wait AGAIN. I stand somewhere in the lobby waiting for them to call me, but they never call. So I make myself visible until they see me and then i think they just remember about my room because they saw me standing there with unhappy face. After they saw me, they immediately communicate with someone over the walkie talkie to check my room. And only short after that, they pass me the key. They seems unprofessional and does not smile a lot. They can't handle difficult situation yet. They need more training. And the lobby was hot. And there's this staff who supposed to go around lobby attending the guests' need while waiting for the check in to be ready (I think GSA), but she never come and asking what we need because she talking with this (i think) regular guest (which I think that was not necessarily be done since there's more guests who need attention. And when i come to her asking when the room is ready, she said she will check buy never get back to me until i come to the front desk myself) The good thing about this hotel is just that the hotel new, so the infrastructure and room still well maintained. So unfortunate that such an International chain hotel offers poor service.
