Best Western Windsor Inn

Not our favorite Best Western of this trip. Location is ok. It's across the freeway from main Ashland, but a quick drive to everything. The place is very large. The woman who checked us in was very nice. Do note that even if you have a first floor room, you may need to climb stairs (not fun in the rain). The room did have a fridge, but no freezer in the fridge and it was not very cold (no way to adjust). There was no microwave in room. The room had the basic wall heater, which kept us up most of the night. It clicked everytime it turned on and kept clicking every 2-3 seconds until it shut off. All night. Breakfast was ok, but not great. But there was lots of seating. Ice machines were broken except for down near the main office (walking in rain again).

This was a very peaceful stay. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and immaculately clean (which is high praise from a group of neat freaks ;) ). Excellent service from the front desk. The property was well-laid out and well-cared for. Our room was right by the road and we had almost zero noise from the highway.

This was a mixed bag. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the refrigerator worked great. The hot breakfast had one of the best selections I've seen at a Best Western, including tasty vegetarian options of eggs and oatmeal. That said, the building was noisy with outdoor walkways and thin walls and ceilings. There is no elevator so I requested a room on the first floor. Even through my earplugs, I could hear loud plumbing sounds from the room above me, as well as voices from guests just talking in a normal voice. I could hear the heater running in the room beside mine. I'm sensitive to sound so I won't be staying here again.

Enjoyed convenient, attractive, traditional motel. Comfortable bed. Stayed in good sized room on second floor. Near freeway but far enough away we didn't hear road noise. Room included a refrigerator. Appreciated breakfast choices in large dining room. Hot oatmeal was good. Very friendly staff and clean, fresh room. The motel is not walking distance to downtown Ashland.

Very affordable. Service was nice and rooms are exceptionally clean for a dog friendly hotel. Hot breakfast helped before a long drive. Overall I will be back and will have to recommend to my friends and family.

We arrived late and exhausted after a long drive from the middle of Washington. We were met by an incredibly friendly desk clerk at check in who immediately guided us to a place to park our truck and cargo trailer. He got us into a room close by and we settled in immediately.

Good Hotel, clean room, good location, a great craft brewery within walking distance…but a bit far from downtown Ashland. Looked like room had recently been renovated. We had a king Room, which was large

The Windsor Inn is my go-to for staycations. The staff is always super friendly, whether it's the front desk or maintenance. There are lots of grassy areas for me to walk my dogs. There's great coffee across the street, adjacent to the gas station, decent Mexican food a little further up the road, and a brewery/restaurant at the top of the street. It's a quiet area.

I travel for business and spend many nights in hotel. I try and stay and a Best Western Property because they are privately owned. The Windsor was a "leisure" stay while visiting my daughter in Ashland, OR. If you haven't stayed at this property, you're in for a treat. It is a beautiful Vintage property with the best service I've ever had at any hotel. I would recommend this property to anyone with the highest ranking I've ever given!

We always stay at BW while in Asland, OR. They accommodate our specific room request and it includes a hot breakfast and Peets coffee. We requested night lights and they had those too. We had to stay an additional night due to our car problem and even though they were completely booked, they helped us out and let us keep the same room.

Very nice property Close to several restaurants and a grocery store No microwave but the fridge made slushy out of my soda Staff knowledge of area and low wait time checking in and out made smooth trip

Checking in was a friendly and easy experience. The frontdesk staff was extremely nice and very informative. The rooms were quite and clean. The breakfast the next morning was pretty good, but there is also a restaurant right next to the hotel. I highly recommend this BW!

This property is excellent overall and convenient to dining places in the Ashland Hills. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the choices at breakfast were many and varied. We didn't use the pool but it looked clean and inviting, as did the fitness center.

The Best Western Windsor Inn did not display any of the qualities expected of a Best Webstern. I have been a Rewards member for several years and usually look for a Best Western for lodging. The BW Windsor Inn was hugely disappointing. I cannot recommend it. The carpet on arrival was damp and the room had a strong odor, I thought it was the only room on the first floor available so I said nothing at the time ( there are no elevators). But I discovered that my socks were actually black the next morning, showing how really dirty the carpet was. There was no manager on site. I was told I would be contacted by the manager. I only received a form letter from the manager after filling out the standard survey they send to customers. The form letter did not address my issue. I responded back explaining the issue but have not heard from the manager.

Our room had a noticeable odor as soon as we opened the door. They offered room deodorizer or switch rooms. We stayed hoping the smell would disappate with the AC on, but it didn't. Smelled like wet dog. The lighting in the shower was very poor. The furnishings needed some updating. The room was clean. The breakfast was adequate and the staff were very friendly. The fitness room surpassed my expectations. It even has a shower.

This is a great hotel minutes from downtown Ashland, Oregon. The employees who checked us in were wonderful! They were able to get my friends and I adjoining rooms, and they were friendly and happy while going above and beyond. The hotel is nice, it's clean, it has a welcoming feel to it and the grounds are well kept. Breakfast was lovely and every employee we encountered was just wonderful. Great place!

As part of a long road trip, we recently spent one night at the Best Western Windsor Inn. This is a huge property, with outside entry to all the rooms. The parking lot isn't the greatest; pretty small spaces and it seemed like there weren't enough spaces for the number of rooms. The property is well maintained inside and out. We had a room with a king bed, beautifully decorated, very clean and the bed was comfortable. The customer service was very good, and the breakfast was good with a widevariety. We had a nice stay, and I would recommend this Best Western when visiting the area.

Comfortable; beautiful garden surrounding. Aesthetically pleasing. Friendly staff (though not much was needed by us to request help). Well-maintained, clean, inviting pool and hot tub area. Breakfast options meet the needs of most. A memorable stay.

We were surprised and disappointed at how run down and unkept the property is. We did not sleep well due to constant noise. We were bitten by something during the night and woke up covered in bites and unbelievably itchy. Really disappointing.

I've stayed here four times, and they are very nice, professional and the rooms and kitchen are always clean. It's not the best neighborhood, but it's close to everything, has a lot of great food nearby and through delivery and multiple gas stations and shops nearby, so for my purposes, it's a great idea and the team makes it worth it.

3rd. Time we have stopped here on our trips. Recommend for families to seniors. Location is just off I5 and easy access to downtown Ashland and lots of restaurants. It is busy during the summer with I5 travelers nd the Shakespeare theatre's. Plan ahead

Ashland Oregon is a pretty small town that surrounds Southern Oregon University. As touted often it's very outdoorsy and a little hard to drive in. I chose this hotel as it was outside the squeeze of the “downtown area”. It was easy to get to and easy to get everywhere else in Ashland. The hotel itself was nice, but very mid tier. We had special requests, which they accommodated. The rooms have individual air conditioning units which I never quite figured out. The rooms are large. The morning breakfast was fine. Lots of cereal and coffee. The eggs seemed powdered. Bacon was good too . The beds were very comfy.

My family and I chose this hotel for a summer visit to Yosemite, which was part of a larger California summer roadtrip. As I travel for a living, and my family and I also travel quite a lot together, I felt confident in choosing this hotel based on online ratings, reviews, etc. To the contrary, this choice was a notable fail on my part. There are too many issues to list. I would simply recommend avoiding this hotel. Although my conversation with the hotel owner was less than helpful, the general manager offered a partial refund, which was less than expected but at least somewhat helpful. There is more to report but you get the general idea. Hope this helps future travelers!

Just off the Hywy with a good restaurant (Oak Tree Northwest Bar & Grill) & 2 gas stations a block away, what could be more convenient!?! The location is dog friendly, has lovely landscaping and a charming, old world facade. Rooms are clean but dark with lamps thru out which helps. Beds are very comfortable, the bathroom spotless with hairdryer and Keurig coffee maker but no safe. Note: NO elevator and 2 flights of stairs to upper floor rooms. Breakfast room (6:00am) offers a wide variety of "serve yourself" food selections: Eggs, bacon, muffins/bagels, cereals (3 dry kinds & hot oatmeal), fruit & fruit juice selections and really good "pancake machine"!

We chose this motel because of location near the freeway. As it turned out, the price was exceptionally low for the quality of the accommodation. A good breakfast and near to dinner options. Definitely stay there again.

Pet friendly, quiet & calm, comfortable as well as very accommodating! Had a double booking snafoo from my end and the front desk was incredibly helpful getting the duplicate booking with a third party cancelled and refunded! Will definitely come back!

One of the better Best Western inns we have stayed at. Room was spacious and clean with no smells. Breakfast was also better than most of the ones we stayed in. The fitness room was super basic but everything was clean and worked, so that was a bonus. Staff were pleasant from the front desk to dining hall. We actually double booked by accident (we never received an email confirmation for some reason - so we thought maybe it hadn't gone through) but the second one was with a 3rd party booking site. The front desk worked with the booking agency to get us a full refund.

This was a great experience from check in to check out. The room was large and the bed was very comfortable. We appreciate that it was pet friendly. They even offered an extra sheet to put on top of the bed. Their breakfast choices were plentiful. Much more than the usual continental offerings.

Great location in Ashland Oregon. Easy access to the hotel from I-5. Very clean, great breakfast and helpful staff. For a great quiet location with good value and access to Ashland and I-5 this hotel will meet your needs. Great experience!

I stayed at the Best Western in am unexpected bad snow storm and arrived in a 20 ft and auto transport, they help me with locating a place to park my truck and a room for me and my kitty. the breakfast great, staff friendly and helpful!

Had to find a quick stop on our way to California, this was perfect! check in was easy and we had pets and it couldn't have been nicer with all the info and where there animal spots were. Breakfast was fast and hot as well!

It has taken me too long to write this review of the worst hotel I ever visited. I had requested a room with a handicap grab bar. Unfortunately, the bar was unusable because it was placed directly under the shower head and had a weird configuration.. When we complained, they brought us to a lovely handicapped suite. Unfortunately, the suite thad no hot water or heat. . When we demanded heat, the hotel manager brought in a space heater that didn't work, and then another space heater that didn't work and then admitted she had no idea about what to do or when she could get help to fix it. We're honest people, so we paid our fill and drove to a hotel in Medford. I will never forget this ghastly experience.

The Best Western Windsor Inn is a good option when visiting Ashland for the Shakespeare festival. Reasonably priced, ample free parking, courteous staff. Only draw back is that it is few miles from down town Ashland and need your car to go there.

Comfortable Visit Plenty of parking and a feeling of security for my vehicle. Quick check-in, friendly staff. Nice room, quiet and comforting. We had a small dog with us. Staff provided a bed covering, bags and treats which was very nice. Slept well, very quiet, no traffic noise from Highway 5. Breakfast was fine, everything I wanted. Easy checkout.

The hotel is conveniently located right off the freeway for easy access on/off I5 and only 10 minutes to downtown Ashland. We booked the king suite and it was huge—3 sofas, chair, desk, kitchenette. Only downside was no separate between bed and sitting area so no privacy if one of your party is sleeping in. However they offer complimentary breakfast and workout exercise room and walking distance to a couple of local restaurants

Older motel but very well maintained. Great customer service (though I did have to ask twice for a rollaway bed--which cost an extra $15 since they do not have sofa beds), tasty, quality breakfast, quiet, clean and safe. Room was very clean and well-maintained. Very competitively priced, given the Biden inflation fiasco. Highly recommend.

This is a cute little motel with nice amenities. Everything is close together so it was easy to get to the pool, fitness room, office, and our car. Breakfast was acceptable, it was a typical continental breakfast. We were able to easily charge our Tesla there too with their L2 charger, which was great and saved us a Supercharger trip the next day. Note that this hotel is not near all the cute shops and such in the downtown area, it is around a 10 minute drive away.

We stayed here in July 2022. We had a second floor room. Bed was nice. Room was quiet. There were a few cleaning mishaps but nothing major. One ice machine was not very appealing. Looked like someone brought it back from a hiking trip, The other one looked like new. The room was quiet. We needed our portable fan to assist in comfort as the room HVAC just couldn't keep up with the warm temps.

This hotel far exceeded our expectations. The property was very well maintained as were the rooms. They were in the process of doing some minor updates to the rooms- but nothing that interferes with the experience. The staff were all wonderful, very friendly and super helpful. When I think of staying at a Best Western- this far exceeds what I would expect. I would gladly stay here again. Highly recommend.

Stayed 3 nights with family. Found the rooms clean and roomie enough for all of us. Enjoyed the breakfast very morning. Also took advantage of the pool every day and found it relaxing. Would come back.

Guests should not tip the housekeeping staff at this hotel; at least one of them is a thief! My wife left several clothing items in the closet of our room. We called the hotel 2 hours after we departed. The desk staff said they would check the room and call my wife back. The hotel staff never called back. My wife called again 24 hours later, was put on hold and then told she would receive a call back shortly. After 30 minutes, she called again. The desk clerk said the room had not yet been occupied by other guests, he would personally walk down to the room to check the closet, and then would call back. He called back an hour later to say that nothing was in the closet. My wife told him that the hotel management needs to have a conversation with the house-keeping staff.

We only spent one night here but it was very pleasant. Check in was easy and fast and our room far exceeded our expectations. In addition, the breakfast was also very nice. We've stayed at some Inns closer to downtown Ashland and the Windsor Inn is better in every respect.

Had a great stay after a long car trip. The hotel is basic but clean. Our room was large with very high ceilings. Air conditioning worked great. Plenty of grass for the dog to use. Hot tub and pool were nice but could definitely use a deep clean.Breakfast was basic. Eggs, bacon, waffles pancakes and pastries. Nothing fancy but decent for the price.

The staff was great. Check in was quick. I will definitely be staying there again when I drive back through. The hotel made me feel safe and as a solo tracker that's important to me. I love the location and the town. If your ever in Ashland, Oregon please stay here. You won't regret it.

This is our go to place to stay while attending the Oregon Shakespeare Fest every year. Hotel is well maintained inside and outside of rooms. Plenty of parking and staff helpful. Breakfast better than most places we stay and staff in this area is OUTSTANDING. They keep the place clean and well picked up. Easy direct drive to OSF is a plus.

I just checked out early this morning. Came here for a soccer tournament that was actually in Medford for Memorial Day weekend, but the parents decided to stay here. No thrills here, but clean room, bed was fine, hotel is right off the freeway, but no freeway noise. My daughter used the pool and spa. The complimentary breakfast in the morning was good. For downtown Ashland you are probably 5-10 min away driving. Also this hotel has plenty of parking, felt very safe, stay was very friendly.

We have stayed here for years when traveling home to WA. The hotel is always exceptionally neat, quiet, and clean (indoors and amazingly so outdoors) with lovely linens. The personnel are always friendly. This time, however, for our backs, we found the king bed to be uncomfortable as well as all the chairs in the room. Perhaps they are aging although they appear very nice. The room and bath are quite small so best for a single person or a couple that does not need to spread out much. The breakfast is the usual fare but presented nicely. In the room there was one good coffee to go with the Keurig and several teas. I would say for us it is too expensive when compared to other comparable hotels in the area.

Just a quick stopover while driving I-5, but had to give kudos to the young man working the desk on the 16th. Seems like so many places have grumpy or untrained staff these days, not here! Cheerful, doing three things at once with a smile. Promote him! Large motel, older but very well maintained. Good choice for the price.

Easy access from the freeway, clean, quiet rooms but bathroom lighting/fan could be updated. Staff was friendly and helpful, Great breakfast setup with large seating area. Food was well supplied. We will be back! .

For us, it worked out well after a long trip from B.C. The staff were very helpful and did a good job to settle us in. the hotel was a little tired in it's overall condition though all seemed clean and the beds were really comfortable. Breakfast was very good, plenty of everything and well presented, staff were all good and helpful. Would we stay there again? Yes and may do so on the return journey. It seems most hotels we stayed at had the same general feel of trying to operate with less staff and recover from the lack of tourism due to the Pandemic over the past two and a half years.

We stopped here for the night on our way home from Southern California. The location is great and is right off I-5. The staff was professional and friendly and I felt safe there. The room seemed a little dirty - there were some hairs in the bathroom upon arrival and the chair in the room had a gross stain on it. The rooms are noisy and you'll be able to easily hear the people next door, but the bed was comfortable. We did try the breakfast the next morning but my kids and I ended up not being able to eat, because the food did not taste fresh. We tried the eggs, sausage and cinnamon rolls but in the end, we filled up on coffee and juice. I'd recommend staying here if you need a quick place to stop for the night on a road trip, but not for an extended stay.

I stay at a lot of Best Westerns and generally don't bother to review them, but this one went above and beyond in terms of its customer service, its location, the layout of the hotel, and it's genuine dog friendliness. I felt welcome and comfortable there.

Excellent stay. Staff were professional, courteous and accommodating. Room was very clean. Breakfast room size is enough to facilitate large numbers of guest without feeling confined. Good selection of fresh items at breakfast to choose from.

Best western is our favorite motel to stay at, but the Windsor one is our family's all time favorite. Great size rooms, clean and enjoyable. The breakfast area is amazing with good options to choose from.

I've stayed at most of the I-5 'chain' motels in Ashland and this was my first time here-- it is the tops for me. I liked the ground floor room a lot, nice size, convenient. There is no elevator. The large hot tub is open now, and was lovely; the pool is convenient in season and attractive off-season. Best was the incredible fitness room with 2-story windows all around giving views of the hills. Excellent hot breakfast with eggs, oatmeal, pancakes and lots else. Very nice staff. EZ to go to mountains, Very convenient to downtown and OSF. There is a laundry for guests; I think they do dry cleaning too, but not 100% sure.

This Best Western was a little nicer than most, and was very comfortable, with extra pillows and blankets, and a nice AC/heating unit. The jacuzzi room was nice the grounds are very pleasant. I can't wait to come back.

Clean room, good service and within convenient walking distance to a couple of restaurants. Quiet location with good with simple access to freeway. Good breakfast selection, nice pool and spa area and good exercise room.

This has been my 3rd stay in as many months. I keep coming back here because of how excellent the staff is. Maria, the manager, is a fierce and caring boss who makes sure her guests and staff are treated with the upmost respect and dignity. As someone who has built corporate partnerships with hotels in Southern Oregon since the 2020 wildfires, I cannot recommend the Best Western Windsor Inn enough. An EXCELLENT hotel for travellers or locals who need a break!

This property is in better condition than many of the BW's that I stay with. Keep that up! I am a BW rewards member. This hotel is among the better quality of the BW's that I have stayed with in the country. This property I gave only 4 stars to for location is that it is close to the interstate, but not near the SOU Campus or downtown Ashland.

This is a beautiful very reasonably priced hotel with full amenities and pet friendly. We were more than satisfied with our stay and would highly recommend this BW hotel. Certainly the nicest BW we stayed at between Bellingham and Tahoe.

Broken coffee maker replaced immediately. Room was very clean and very good selections of foods for breakfast. Short distance to downtown area. Will stay again. Electric car charger available in parking area.

This was a random stay due to road closures from snow. I had just left Eugen Oregon on my way to Northern California. Ashland BW was better than the Eugene New Oregon BW. The Ashland BW made my unexpected drive home a lot better since I had no time to review or research other hotels in the area due to the road. The breakfast exceeded my expectations as well as the Ashland BW was better as well because they offered waffles.

Needed a nice, roomy, warm place with clean, fresh linens. EZ check-in, a good night's sleep. Clever how they fluffed the extra pillows. Made us smile. Breakfast was so-so but left us full and ready for our travels. Overall, a nice stay, good value using BW points. Staff was pleasant and helpful. We'll be back!!

The staff could not have been more helpful on check in and check out. During check out it was discovered that when the agent on the 1-800 call did not put in my payment information correctly but this was able to be resolved by the staff. The bed was most comfortable also.

We stayed overnight while traveling up I-5. This hotel was very convenient and accepted dogs ($20 fee). The staff were friendly and COVID conscious. The room was very spacious and odor-free. The bed was very comfortable and the shower ok. We drove downtown for dinner, although there are a couple of restaurants within walking distance. The breakfast included heat-and-eat Jimmy Dean breakfast sandwiches, make-your-own pancakes, cereals, and packaged pastries. There was a nice pet relief area. This was a very comfortable stay and a welcome respite from driving.

We left due to unuseable WIFI and were promised a refund. So far not happening. Quite an old hotel and it seems they know wifi is terrible. I am not impressed with Ashland hotels so will be stopping elsewhere. In fact may be transitting Oregon and staying in California and Washington instead.

This was a great convenient Motel right off Interstate 5 with a clean room a great bed and free breakfast. It has a good restaurant next door and a couple of gas stations next to it also. We met family here that frequent this motel monthly while traveling between Ca. and Or.

Decided to have a staycation in our wonderful city of Ashland and this was a perfect hotel to do so at! The rooms where beautiful and clean,the staff was helpful and friendly,and the breakfast was great.

This hotel had all the amenities, nice breakfast, beautiful mountains. It is right on the highway for easy in, easy out. It was not close to downtown, however. If I had noticed that I probably would have chosen another place. Fifteen minute drive downtown. I like the small town theater feel of Ashland. So I enjoy being closer to the heart of the city.

Perfect spot for a stop-over in traveling between Portland and San Francisco Bay Area. The hotel, though a little old looking and in need of a refresh, is clean and is well run with efficient and pleasant staff at the front desk. Our stay included breakfast which was a take-out with items you can choose and pickup at the front desk office and consisted of a fairly generous menu choice. I recommend this place.

Clean, quiet, convenient but only one traveler gets a bedside table. I used my suitcase instead of upending the waste basket-bedside lights on both sides of the bed, though. No apparent recycling policy (one wastebasket) although the city touts their recycling record.

The bed and pillows were wonderfully comfortable! The room and closet are big enough for all your reenactment garb and the space needed to get dressed. Loved the old world decor of the hotel itself- very warm and charming!

Exceeded expectations re: venue, service, cleanliness and efficiency. This is my first time staying at the Asha and Best Western and I could not have been more pleased. It was a last minute trip driving south to the bay area from Seattle. Reservations were made in route and all my wishes were accommodated graciously and efficiently.

This hotel was nicely updated. It is close to the freeway but far enough away to be quiet. our room was just across from the check in. Everything worked well. it is close to some fun dining, specifically the brewery which is walking distance. it has great food and fun atmosphere.

This hotel has a great staff, good breakfast and very clean rooms. Compared to prices in the area, the price was also very good. Ashland hotels can be expensive, and this was a good price! Overall, we have no complaints and thank the staff for their care and attention.

We stayed at Best Western Windsor Inn for two nights while visiting Crater Lake National Park and Ashland. The hotel was perfect for what we needed. Front desk staff was so nice and accommodating. We felt very welcome the moment we arrived. The room was nice just a bit dark for me but cosy and spacious. Definitely a great place to stay if you are visiting nearby attractions.

The Windsor Inn is a very well-maintained, pet-friendly property with a swimming pool that was a godsend given the near-100 degree weather we traveled in in September 2021. Our room was clean (did smell a bit like bleach initially) and the staff were very friendly and helpful. COVID protocols were reasonable with the AM breakfast still being a grab bag vs. buffets that we had elsewhere. There aren't too many sit-down restaurants with outdoor seating (for benefit of the pet) nearby and the one nearby Mexican restaurant that had outdoor seating didn't have the staff to serve the area, so we went downtown and ate at Pie and Vine (a great choice). The nightly rate was very good (even with the pet fee tacked on) so this is a very good value on your way north or south on I-5.

I was immediately impressed by the front desk staff. They did everything to make sure I was in a comfortable first floor room. The room was immaculately clean. The bed was very comfortable and the sheets and pillows made for a great night's sleep. Complimentary breakfast the next morning was OUTSTANDING considering the Covid protocols. A hot breakfast sandwich, yogurt, muffin, granola bar, fresh fruit, juice, hard boiled eggs etc etc ... and fresh coffee in the hotel lobby and in the room. Check in and check out was efficient -- I wish the room had had a microwave - but other than that it was a great experience. About the front desk staff -- As I was checking in a gentleman was trying to find a suitable hotel with parking to accommodate a very long trailer and did not have a reservation. I witnessed the manager phone several other nearby hotels to try to find this man and his wife and his dog suitable lodging -- in my opinion he was truly going the extra mile to help this person. BRAVO ---

Exceptional Hotel and staff. Right next to the Vancouver Mall, across from a very good Mongolian BBQ restaurant, and two gas stations, along with easy on and off access from major highway. I would highly recommend this hotel. I travel a lot and this is one of the very best.

The double sinks and quiet we liked four years ago brought us back for a night northbound and a night southbound on a recent trip to the NW. This is a well-maintained older hotel with exterior corridors and no elevator. Ground floor rooms are easily accessible; upstairs rooms are quieter. The front desk staff is very professional. Beds are comfortable. It's slightly downhill from I-5, so there's little traffic noise. The best feature is the large vanity with double sinks that make it quick and easy for two people to get ready in the morning. Hot breakfast service has been suspended, but the front desk provides bags with your choice of cereal, yogurt, fresh fruit, juice, muffins, and microwavable egg mcmuffin style sandwiches. We'll be back.

The rooms were clean and comfortable. The water pressure and hot water were great. The pool was in dire need of a cleaning (we noted at least one bandaid resting on the bottom as well as other rubbish) and the internet is absolutely attrocios. Speed tested at 6mbps.

Traveling with a pet is not always easy, but this best western location was very accommodating. The rooms were clean, furnished well and most of all comfortable. The bed was very comfortable. The pool area looked clean, and inviting. Close to the stores and easy access to freeway. Relatively quiet during my stay for a busy time of year. I will definitely return.

Clean rooms, comfortable beds, friendly staff. Breakfast is pick up a bag at the office. Ok if you like sweet things. Restaurant within walking distance was quite good. 2 Ev chargers near office. Full charge for our Tesla overnight. Right off I 5 but it was quiet at night.

Room seemed ok, but discovered ants in the bathroom and on the tv stand. Later found them on my sons bed. No fridge and Luke warm water in shower. Breakfast is a brown paper bag with fruit and some random snack items. When reported the ants was told it was an issue and given spray and rags. No offer to change rooms, bedding or discount. Paid $180 for ants and luke warm water. Disappointing after a 8 hour drive.

We stayed one night while family was participating in a run at Mt. Ashland. The hotel was clean, and the rooms were nice and big. Our breakfast was modified due to Covid but was still a very nice bag of food and beverages. The restaurant attached to the hotel was also great with really good service and good food

This is always a good place to stay. Great location close to everything and convenient being on Interstate 5. Good choices for restaurants, shopping, and gas nearby. Pet friendly with two different pet areas.

This is a very quaint looking hotel. I was greeted by very friendly and helpful staff. The desk clerk made sure I knew exactly where to park to have easy access to my room and provided me with extra coffee and real creamer. The garden in front of my room was lovely and full of gorgeous flowers. The room was very spacious and well appointed. Two very comfortable arm chairs with a hassock. The Queen beds were very nice - not too hard or too soft. I am handicapped, so I booked an ADA room. The shower/toilet room was large and easy to use - kudos for a very ADA friendly design! There was a fridge, multiple charging ports and a great A/C unit that worked well and was very quiet. Great place to stay.

The property was clean and well-maintained. Pool was a big plus for our son in the middle of a road-trip. They are pet-friendly and had some grassy areas for the dog. There is a walking path not far up the hill that leads into a neighborhood which was good for dog-walking. Good Mexican place nearby for dinner. The hallways are all exterior -- rooms open to the outside, and the rooms had older carpet and furniture. We paid $220 for the night, which seems about $50 too much for this property. We p

We thought it was just going to be a place to rest for the night. No expectations. However, the hotel is impeccably maintained. Great Pool and Spa. Super courteous staff. The rooms were nice, well apportioned and well maintained. We always travel with our German Shepard...this place was very accomodating.

I paid $230 for a night in this hotel, $100 dollars too much. The hotel is reasonably updated, they still need to replace the flooring. The beds were comfortable. The refrigerator didn't work. The pool was filthy. Adults were actively getting hammered in the pool while taking care of their very young children. The breakfast bag is a piece of fruit, water and a granola bar. This is a non smoking property with no signage. Ashtrays are provided throughout the property encouraging smoking. Guests sit outside their rooms smoking. Maria the A.M. manager could care less about customer service. She does like being in charge though. It's a beautiful property going to crap! Define “Motel” vibe!

Room was very clean, spacious and comfortable with two easy chairs and double sinks in a separate location from the toilet and shower. Pool and hot tub were also spacious, and I saw people enjoying them both. Even though it was Covid times, the breakfast was only a high carbohydrate of the bad kind go-bag choice, and no proteins. Other places I have stayed during Covid offered individually wrapped good choices or served the guests with a hearty hot breakfast. Surely this hotel could have done the same, especially since it was $175.00 per night for the room. The lady at check-in was overwhelmed with no others around to help with a customer having to fixing a reservation problem, causing the line to back up out the door and cause a half-hour wait to check in because there were no other employees.

My husband and I have stayed here many times on our road trips to and from OR. We love that it is pet friendly, right off the highway and has exactly what we need for our short stops. The staff is always super helpful and friendly. There is a Chevron to get snacks and drinks at if you get in too late or a delicious Mexican restaurant a very short walking distance away! Pool and hot tub is great too!

Front desk person, Ryan, was unpleasant, not just to us, but to other guests, so we didn't take it personally. But really? We were given a room that smokers had obviously occupied. Housekeeping tried to mask the smokiness with heavily perfumed air spray. The room was not as clean as one should expect. The sink drained slowly. The room was outdated. Even though we reserved a pet room in advance, our room was very far from the pet area. The pet area was unkempt, with grass so tall you wouldn't be able to see any poop when you stepped through it. The landscape was weedy and messy. The rooms were not a good value for the money. I could go on and on. Best just to say: we aren't going to stay here again.

We were here for a short time but everything was great for our stay. The only problem was getting kicked off the internet. Room was clean & roomy. We did not eat but they had breakfast grab bags to go.

Well located Best Western in Ashland, but rooms are outdated and old especially the bathrooms. We did not have warm/hot water mostly despite paying over $100 for a room. However, the check-in was smooth and customer service was helpful at times. If you are looking to save money and get a better value to stay near Crater Lake then look elsewhere.

I must say my stay at best western was excellent. Stayed the night while on my way to Washington from san diego. Room was clean. Staff was great and helpful. There was plenty of parking. Would stay there again.

I was very disappointed. The room furnishings are old and worn and the rooms are dark. Smoking is allowed just outside the rooms and smoke drifted into the room when the window was open. The breakfast option is poor - I stay at many hotels and they have much more to offer even with Covid.

First time at this property. It's an older but well maintained facility constructed like a swiss chalet. It's pet friendly (we had our dog with us), the room was clean, bed was comfortable, food at the Oak Tree restaurant immediately next door was great, and the front desk personnel provided great customer service. And, the price was very reasonable. We would definitely stay again on a future trip through Ashland.

Had a nice stay at this hotel. Considering COVID this room was very clean. Had a K Cup coffee maker. My wife even looked up the pillows to buy for our home. Gave us a bag lunch breakfast with oatmeal and fruit in the morning. Good stop for weary travelers.

Check in and check out was fast and professional. Location was near freeway and experience was good as usual. Next trip coming this summer and probably stop here again. A good stay makes the start of a trip satisfying.

This was a solid choice for a pass through drive. Nothing fancy, but a clean, comfortable typical Best Western in a town with good restaurants that is worth a return visit! This town is known for its Shakespeare festival (but we were not visiting at that time). We ate downtown, which is a bit of a drive from this hotel's location. Check in/out process was a cinch.

I've stayed at the Best Western Windsor Inn many times in pretty much all of the types of rooms. They are always courteous and helpful. The only issue I experienced this time was that the faucets on the spa tub seemed to be sort of broken, they moved around a lot in the fixture. This seemed to effect the hot water in the shower as we had to turn the hot water on in the tub to get the hot water to work in the shower the morning after using the tub. We did report the issue to the staff and they said they would look at the issue :-) It was really no big deal though! I do wish the remotes for the heater/a/c worked from a further distance!!

This hotel room was the absolute cleanest room I have stayed at probably at any hotel..ever. I am a total hotel snob and I will find imperfections down to the slightest hair, dust and ding. The only issue I noticed in the room was a picture off center. I didn't find a spec of dust, a single human hair or anything suspect. I even inspected the heating systems filter... not a spec of dust. The property is in excellent shape. Keep in mind this is not a 5 star hotel, but wow I am blown away by how awesome this place is. The staff are great too. I have over 100 reviews on Trip Advisor of hotels I have stayed at. This hotel is probably in the top 5 best hotels. Hotels don't usually get this kind of praise from me.

We overnighted here during Covid and were very pleased. We spoke to the hotel prior to coming to confirm that they were conducting good protocols for Covid. We arrived early evening and were greeted warmly and efficiently. The room was very comfortable. We had a king bed. The room has a refrigerator and Keurig coffee maker. The bathtub/shower and toilet were in separate closet, so that you had easy access to the sinks. Double basins which was very convenient. Room had heat/AC that was very easy to understand and utilize. A couple of restaurants within a 3 minutes walk. Breakfast (during Covid) were prepackaged bags with numerous additional options. Hotel is also easy on/off I-5 freeway. I would heartily recommend this hotel for your future stay.

I was nervous to stay at a hotel during Covid, but we were traveling back to CA from WA with our daughter and driving straight through would have been miserable. Looking at hotel reviews as we drove, most options along the way sounded grim, but our 5 year old wasn't going to make it to our normal places we've stayed before in Northern Cali due to our late start that day. I am so happy we landed here. The check in staff was so polite, ensuring we found a place we could park our cargo trailer and even calling the room to follow up and make sure it was taken care of. We stayed on the second/top floor in the back of the complex and we didn't hear sounds from even one other guest during our stay. The room was meticulously clean and had obviously been refreshed recently with regards to carpet and finishes. Definitely don't let the look of the exterior deter you- not to say that it is bad, just an older style that isn't representative of what you get inside the rooms. We actually preferred the low rise/exterior entries so we wouldn't need to worry more than needed about distancing given Covid. In addition to the pristine room, I saw staff cleaning the stairway handrails first thing in the morning. Breakfast these days is of course a grab and go. They had a bag that you could supplement with additional items. Prewrapped muffins, granola bars, cereal cups, fruit and yogurt. Certainly doing what they can. What else... plentiful ice in the machines and noticed vending machines around as well. There's a gas station with a store next door for any additional snack needs. We'd also recommend the Mexican restaurant that is adjacent to the property. We had ordered take out ahead so it would be ready at arrival and everything we had was great. While we sadly didn't have a chance to explore the area, for certain this Best Western exceeded our expectations for what we needed for our stay and the price. Super helpful staff, meticulously cleaned room and a quiet and comfortable night's sleep.

Such misery, there were so many things wrong. I thought booking the executive suite would upgrade my stay but it was a miserable hotel experience. The place obviously had not been clean with cobweb, bugs and things littered on the floor. Ask for management several times and the front desk folks were a another miserable bunch except for Ethan, he tried his very best but he was the night crew. The rest were crass, no propriety to include Randy and Beverly. Just focused on ignoring the issues and the guest by being dismissive. The one apology from another staff member didn't mean anything because I learned after a while it was to pacify the matter and to stick towels under the AC to stop it from ruining the TV and carpet. THE SMELL was NAUSEATING. As you can see from the photos, dirty stove, no screen in the windows, carpets are dingy gray and black to hide the dirt (depressing for a holiday). The down pour of water (barely missing the TV) from the non-working AC. Spent my whole stay hot and muggy in 100 degree and had to open the no screen windows at nights and to help with the SMELL. I cleaned and sprayed that place as best I could. Did not feel safe at all. Thank goodness for the day outings and AC in my car. The 5am noises every morning. Asked for management several times and was told she manages 3 properties so she is not available the WHOLE STAY (4 days). I felt I should have been compensated in some way for bad experiences and NEVER HEARD FROM ANYONE. I exited this place gladly and I would never return. This place is a motel 2 star facility with some motel 0 type employees so if you are use to this then it's your ticket but you shouldn't pay 3 star prices. My stay was $150 per night and I would have added another $200 to have my typical 5 star type of accommodations but I wanted a kitchen this time, NEVER AGAIN. Actually, no compensation is worth the misery. I would have rather turned around and I almost did, stayed in the car a bit before checking in, thinking, but I had already paid (UGGHH). If you are use to higher quality expectations just DON'T with their motel quality stay. I have learned I am unable to upload videos so you can't hear the 5am noise each am, the no screen video, the flood of AC water video and the dingy carpet video. I took a screen shot of the AC leak video but it was worse than that each time you turned on the AC units. I left it cleaner and better smelling than when I got there. JUST MISERABLE.

The hotel is beautiful and the rooms are spacious and clean. We used their pool and spa. For breakfast it's a grab and go but their addition items that you can add were great; cereal, yogurt, hard boiled eggs, OJ, and milk. We would definitely stay here again!

A very nice property, that we have stayed at many times. Unfortunately have employed an extremely paranoid "attack dog" to greet you in the morning. Her attempt to talk down to me was pitiful. Sad to see that an otherwise fine hotel has to resort to this.

This Best Western is one of the nicest we have ever stayed at. Our room was very clean and comfortable. We appreciated that they are dog friendly and we were given a clean sheet to put on the bed for our dog plus some dog biscuits. The fitness center and breakfast room were closed because of the virus but we walked around the property and they looked very nice. We were given a "to go" bag for breakfast that had a nice selection of items. The whole property was very well taken care of and attractive.

The room was clean and staff friendly at check in / out. Exterior is clean and nice. However the bed is terrible.. very firm with no padding. I'm fine with a firm mattress of you can't feel the springs. This was a rough night plus a lot of noise from rooms above and you can hear tv from room next door

We checked in at night and Ryan was an amazing help. He has a great personality and really helped us enjoy our stay from the very beginning. Jordan was also very nice and accommodating during our breakfast visits, and Anna was very professional and kind. The rooms are neat and clean, pool area spacious and well kept. The housekeeping staff were attentive and timely. Even has an on-site washer/dryer, and computer station! Overall this was a 5 star stay.

We were moving and had a lot of boxes in our car. Everything was safe in there overnight and we had no hassles checking in or out. The room was clean and the internet worked fine. I'd recommend to anyone passing through!

Large room with nice size fridge. I wish I had confidence they are leaving rooms vacant for 24 hours to avoid the spread of Covid 19. They advertise it but leave a lot of wiggle room and it did not look like that was happening in this one. Very pleasant place and bed was comfy and room appeared very clean.

The Windsor is our go to hotel in Ashland. It's staff is helpful, the rooms spotless and comfortable and it's easy access to downtown Ashland. I've stayed here multiple times and have always enjoyed it.

My experience was just great. the staff is exceptional and very helpful. quick in and out although i only stayed over night, it was great. Personnel was very helpful after a long drive to arrive. and saw to my needs.

We stay here every time we travel from California to Oregon. It's convenient to be able to park right by your room, the front desk people are the most friendly and helpful, the rooms are clean, and the bathrooms freshly remodeled.

We checked in to the Windsor Inn after a very long trip. My wife was in extreme pain. Our first room was up a short incline of steps. She made it but just barley. We also had a service dog with us and when she made the reservation explained that. When we arrived we were asked to pay a fee for the dog. It was removed and a much better room with parking right out side the room was secured for her. We can never thank Ryan enough for the best care and concern for our situation. Thank you.

Besides a conveniently-located, clean and comfortable room, this Best Western went the extra mile with the "little things".. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, they couldn't provide the usual buffet breakfast, so they prepared take-away lunch bags with muffin, fruit, granola bar, etc. When we inquired about restaurants in the area that might provide take-out service, the woman at the front desk handed us a print-out of local restaurants that had that service along with free-delivery. Very thoughtful.

The Best Western Windsor was very clean and had a friendly, helpful staff. The room was comfortable and the facility amenities were very nice. We will be stating here again. There were several good restaurants within walking distance.

Love Pet Friendly Best Western. The Ashland hotel was clean, the staff was super efficient at check in and welcoming. They gave a sheet for the dog and dog treats which was very nice. They also a green area for dogs to do their business - again nice touch.

I'm moving my father across country to live with me, hes deaf. Our last stop was in Ashland before getting home. Everything was great, room was perfect, customer service was amazing until I asked for the other remote to be able to reach the setting on the tv to get the closed captioning to work. Front desk agent on duty, Keith, told me hes never been able to get it work...so this has been an issue before for previous guests. I informed him I work for a Best Western and we have a remote at the front desk, but that also maintenance has them, to please try to get ahold of someone that could fix this issue. I spoke with each front desk agent at every shift change. None of them knew about the remote or how to access the closed captioning. I've left my phone number for the General Manager to contact me about this because I believe this is an issue they need to address. Would it have been a different issue if I had said the sound wasnt working? Would they have cared to try harder to resolve it then?

The staff was awesome both at check in and check out. We had an issue with the sink not having hot water and wasn't draining right. We only stayed one night but I informed the staff at check out about the issues and she made a note as well as extra points added to my stay for the inconvenience. We had a wheelchair accessible room, and although a little snug between the furniture it worked ok.

Excellent service and very clean. This hotel was very convenient in it's location for an event I was attending in Ashland and the restaurant was only steps away. I traveled with my dog and was very please with the amenities.

Very attractive Best Western property that is conveniently located off I-5. Not "close" to Ashland's wonderful downtown, but not far either. Friendly and professional staff throughout. Above average breakfast in a spacious room. Hot tub definitely delivered even during the mid-February stay.

Although the BW Windsor Inn is kind of dated, the customer service here is top-notch. I left a sweater in the closet and after we had left they called us and we arranged to pick it up on our way back. I really appreciated their thoughtfulness and honesty. Another thing I liked was that the bathroom had two sinks and the sink area was not in the same room as the toilet and shower. But the sheets could have been nicer and I did not like the blanket arrangement. There were no plugs next to my side of the bed just a long extension cord from the front wall. Breakfast was pretty meh with scrambled eggs that did not taste like real eggs and a pretty dismal breakfast room. For the price and the customer service I rate it very good, for the rest of it it is quite average.

Though they were not full (it's off season), we were situated next to a room with four dogs. The four dogs were let out of the room, one-by-one, starting at 5:45 a.m. through 7:15 a.m. Putting in ear plugs, we stopped hearing the barking. However, that door kept opening and shutting 12 feet from our bed... Very little was done to mitigate this neighbor's noise. I was offered apologies and a teensy discount, neither of which fix not sleeping. There is one person staffing the front desk on a Sunday morning, so she was busy. They do NOT have security on site to enforce noise rules. Please think twice about coming here!

Stayed two nights at this wonderful hotel. Brought along our dog and stayed in a pet friendly room. Received a welcome gift from front desk for being a rewards member. Also received a welcome treat for the pup. Everyone at the front desk was wonderful. We were towing a boat and the staff went out of their way to accommodate us with ample parking. Breakfast was great each morning and the restaurant located next door was awesome for dinner. Can't say enough good things about this hotel.

Nice facility, great breakfast room. Enjoyed very large hot tub (most hold at least 20 people). Great value for the money. We had a comfortable bed, friendly staff. Didn't use the exercise room, but it looked wonderful. They have large pool.

I have had the grim opportunity to visit the Medford area every week for dental surgery and recovery visits. This has amounted to weekly visits for a month and a half. We tried all the Best Western hotels in Grants Pass, Rogue River, Medford, and Ashland. The Ashland Best Western is by far our favorite. The service and staff are exceptional. They are not just employees they are service professionals who offer the most exceptional service possible. Now I'm not saying they are beyond perfect , no hotel is, but they do their very best to be perfect and if not, to rectify the situation. I have 3 favorite Best Western hotels in the United States and this location is one if the three.

Extremely clean. Beautiful hotel. Friendly staff. Perfect breakfast. I Beds are super comfy too! Perfect place to stay. I really can't say enough about this great location. It's in a perfect place too, right before or after the Oregon pass which helps during winter.

My son and his friends checked in to go skiing there was no cable after they had driven all day long they weren't going about to move all of their stuff to another room I called them the next morning and told them to please go fix the problem apparently it was unfixable they once again said they could move they were too exhausted from skiing to move the things I felt like they didn't even care there was no sorries

Check-in and traveller advice was over the top helpful. Easy to find location. Nearby restaurant was excellent quality and high service level. Breakfast was superior to most. A bit of noise from the inroom heater and neighbours water.

Not our normal choice when travelling but did not have alot of options as it is Christmas week and alot of Hotels are booked. This Best Western was very well kept. The rooms were clean and well appointed and the outside grounds were well maintained. The breakfast in the morning was very nice as well.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Best Western. The customer service provided by Keith was great and the hot breakfast was good. Also, there are dog friendly rooms available and the beds are so comfortable.

really nice ADA complint room. toilet was really great. grab bars in shower were in the correct postion. very low water presure but managable. Bed was very comfortable . Had a great night sleep after a long drive. TV was really easy to use. Great seltion on breakfest items was a plus. Stayed their twice. Once going to Calif. and once coming back. Great accex to I-5 freway.

Windsor Inn is right off I-5. The intersection now has traffic signals so getting to it and back to I-5 or into Ashland are easy. Plenty of parking. The desk is always very pleasant. We didn't take a dog with us, but Windsor Inn does have "pet" rooms.

I can't say enough good things about the staff here, at this excellent hotel. I left behind some very important items and the staff went above and beyond to make sure I got it all back. Everything about the hotel is great, from the breakfast, to the convenient location, to the big, beautiful, immaculate, cozy rooms, to the excellent spa and workout area. My family thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will absolutely make this our regular stop when we're in Ashland or driving through the PNW. Thank you again to the lovely staff!

Nice layout with attractive grounds. Helpful, friendly staff and a great selection for breakfast. Can be a bit pricy depending on time of year but not too bad. Conveniently located about 2 blocks off Interstate 5 on the outskirts of Oregon's coolest town, Ashland.

This hotel is a couple miles outside of town; so don't plan on walking. However, after a 5 minute drive, on is in the center of things. The rooms are clean, recently refurbished but nothing to write home about. However, the hotel is quite convenient to the interstate and, surprisingly quiet. The front office staff is extremely friendly and helpful.

The rooms are okay, but the hotel is a bit dated and could be kept up a bit. The gate at the pool permanently broken, the breakfast room with half of it under construction or with piles of things everywhere. The room above us was crazy loud, turns out they were throwing a ball across the room to exercise their two dogs. Pet rooms should probably be just downstairs. Their was also a mid-age couple at the pool drinking heavily in the sun for hours, they got irate that kids were in the pool and left yelling, there was vomit in the bushes, which I was assume was theirs. I'm a fan of having a beer by the pool, but maybe they should at least have some rules around it or check in occasionally.

We needed a place to stay at a reasonable price within a short distance of the theaters in Ashland and settled on this motel since it was located right off Interstate 5 at Ashland St. The motel was clean and quite, and the breakfast better than average. Right next door was an okay diner and a 10 minute walk away was a Mexican restaurant that we didn't try and the very excellent Caldera Brewery & Restaurant which we did. The staff was very friendly and accomodating in our last minute decision to stay there. All in all, including the two plays we say, this was a very pleasant stay.

We travel a lot for business and we have no control as to where we stay, but this Best Western was a true pleasure and it is comparable to the large chain hotels/motels. The bed was comfortable, space good but the bathroom area was superb! We particularly liked the large space to lay out cosmetics, have separate sinks and a shower area one can actually get into and out of without hitting each other or the walls or the toilet.

We have stayed at this BW a number of times now. It is a great place to stay, breakfast is great, pool, hot tube, and the all of the rooms we have stayed in are very nice. Ashland is such a beautiful city to be tourists in.

We asked for a quiet room since we are light sleepers. The room was nice and cozy. The hotel is right off the highway but there is minimal road noise at night. They are about ten minutes to down town.

Great value! Beds were comfortable - very important. Room was quiet. Pool and grounds clean and well-maintained. Best free breakfast I've had anywhere and lots of tables. Staff are uniformly friendly. Front desk staff were especially cheerful. And best of all, a free shuttle to the Oregon Shakespeare Festival!

Arrived late and ready to relax. It was such an easy check in and the room was so cozy on a chilly night. Relaxation was ready and perfect. Friendly service, Clean room and Breakfast in the morning, excellent stay. Thank you.

Stayed one night while traveling I 5. We've stayed at several properties in Ashland (on the freeway) and this hotel worked well. The rooms have been updated, pleasant pool area and landscaping on the property. Front desk staff at check in was efficient and entertaining--a positive introduction to the hotel. Breakfast room is spacious and food, though typical of hotel breakfasts, was nicely presented with plenty of choices. It was quiet at night and a quick walk to Caldera Brewing. There is also a Mexican restaurant a block away. I liked that our King room had double sinks at the vanity which is separate from the shower and commode.

Each year we visit Ashland and each year we stay at the Windsor Inn. The management staff is helpful, the housekeeping crew does a very good job, the cost is much lower than downtown and the continental breakfast is complete. The Windsor is about 3 miles from downtown so not super convenient but they do have shuttles and adequate parking for autos. Overall, I highly recommend the Windsor.

Easy right off freeway lodging tho it is very quiet!! I was traveling alone and felt very safe!!! Front desk staff very nice and helpful. Awesome free breakfast with nice housekeeping staff!!! Room clean with nice bed.

The accommodation was fairly basic. Although some people are not bothered by window HVAC units, I tend to sleep poorly given the noise they create, and this room had a window unit. Breakfast was limited. I didn't have a car; the shuttle to central Ashland was a plus, though it runs limited hours. That said, staff were consistently pleasant and helpful; thanks for that.

Stopped in at this hotel when the sky looked scary and threatened to produce a thunderstorm...not good while riding a motorcycle! Hotel was friendly and accomodating even though I looked a bit scruffy after a long motorcycle adventure.

Visited hotel. Room was dirty , old and decrepit. I complained about the noise. They said they would send maintenance. Called back a half an hour later asking where maintenance was? Said there was nothing they could do about the noise. It was in the machinery. They offered another room with 2 beds when I paid for a king size. Decided to check out. They not only did not apologize, they said they were doing me a favor to waive the room charge. Not a good place to stay.

We have stayed in other hotels in Ashland in the past, and this property was the best of them all. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast room was large and the choices were ample. In short, we had a wonderful night of rest and left the next day very refreshed.

Great location just off the freeway. The room was clean and nicely decorated. Plenty of complimentary parking. Good selection of breakfast food. Checking was quick and express checkout made it easy to grab a bite foe breakfast and get on my way.

My husband wanted to stop in Ashland on our road trip so he could go mountain biking. The shuttle company he used (Ashland Mountain Adventures) is located not far from this Best Western (he rode his bike there), and it wasn't a bad drive to downtown. The front desk staff was great, the pool was a hit and the room was comfy. We would stay here again.

The front desk staff was very helpful with information on area sites including the Shakespeare festival. The hotel offers a free shuttle to the theater. Beds were very comfortable and the free breakfast was served in a separate building with plenty of space for both the buffet and seating.

We stay here regularly. It's located close to Caldera Brewery Restaurant ans the main road into Ashland. In summer, the pool is very enjoyable- soothing. People are helpful and nice. Breakfast okay. The access to freeway, shopping, and recreation is great.

My husband and I were passing through on our way to the Oregon coast. This hotel was absolutely everything we expected. The room was nice and cozy and the staff were friendly everytime we encountered them....from checking in to breakfast to checking out. I would definitely recommend this hotel!

My partner and I have been staying at this place for years. Although it is an older hotel, almost all of the hotels in the Ashland area are older unless you want to stay at one of the freeway chains like Comfort Inn. Hadn't stayed at the Windsor since the fall of 2016 when I booked a three-day stay earlier this month for a business trip. Sad to say the place has gone SERIOUSLY downhill. I overheard one of the front desk clerks telling another wayfaring traveler that the hotel was now owned by Hilton, which I assume means that Hilton has acquired the Best Western franchise. Not sure if that has anything to do with the recent decline in this joint but it would not surprise me. After hearing that Hilton's so-called lower end "brands" " were going to stop providing "in-room toiletries," in an effort to cut costs, I surmised that they must consider Best Western to be one of their lower end brands. For the record, this place did provide the customary toiletries for this stay, probably because they haven't used up the supply they have on hand, but what they have stopped providing in an "in-room" microwave. When I called the front desk to inquire as to what the deal was they told me that I was welcome to bring whatever it was that I wanted to heat up, to the front desk and they would heat it up for me in the microwave that the employees used. SERIOUSLY? In addition to this ridiculous annoyance was the fact that the breakfast service has gone straight down the toilet, along with the toiletries, I suppose? Although I am not typically a big fan of the "free breakfast" that is a standard offering for price point of hotel, but I what WAS a fan of was this particular hotel's free breakfast, until July of 2019. At one time it was an above-average offering that included really good drip coffee...good enough in fact that a coffee lover could skip the trip down to the local coffee roaster a few blocks down the street. The quality of the coffee and the food itself was at best very average. Reconstituted scrambled eggs, greasy sausage and even greasier bacon served on alternating days, the usual mushy, slightly rubbery "cottage potatoes, store-bought bread and rolls, etc...like I said, VERY average. In the past they have had FAR better food and really GOOD coffee. hey would be doing everyone a favor if they would knock $25 a night off of the room price and send them into town where they can buy a decent breakfast. The exercise facility was also a shambles, whereas it used to be pristine. The single universal weight machine they have was half working. The ususal surplus of treadmills and stationary bikes meanwhile were crammed too close together. Right outside the door was a butt can overflowing with cigarette butts, that clearly hadn't been emptied in days. Don't believe all of these reviews you read about what a great place this is...spend a few extra bucks and go stay in town, although I would avoid the Best Western at the other end of town that is called The Bard's Inn, as we have stayed there on a number of occasions and that place is falling apart and even more expensive than the Windsor. he only thing it has to offer is a better location. The one thing that hasn't gone down is the price, of course. Now that it is Hilton owned, they have to make real money so this is now a $170+ per night sleeping establishment housed in a tired, worn out facility, and little else.

This was the first time we brought our dogs on vacation. BW Windsor has the perfect layout. We've been coming to Ashland for over 10 years and always stay here. The continental breakfast is very helpful so that we can start our day early and be ready to go. The weight room is perfectly located and the bathroom is very clean and has a shower as well.

We stayed at Best Western while going to the Shakespeare plays in Ashland. The room was beautiful, the staff was excellent, the free breakfast had numerous options and the garden area was beautiful. There was a shuttle that took us to the plays downtown. The stay couldn't have been better.

Wonderful hotel in Ashland. Their free breakfast buffet offered many more choices than a continental breakfast. They provide a free shuttle to the Shakespeare theater. This was not our first stay here. Consistently above average. Would recommend the Windsor!

I wish we could have stayed at this location longer. It is a great hotel, friendly staff and an amazing garden. Clean rooms, pool and nice breakfast choices. We will be back and refer this location to others

A lot of places say they are “dog friendly.” Mostly this means you get charged extra and your pet can stay. The Windsor Inn really is pet friendly. They have well groomed areas for bathroom breaks. The shuttle drivers asked how our pet was doing. The staff is also guest friendly. They were helpful with getting us to our play venues. As a bonus there is a great brew pub walking distance away (two blocks.)

This was the best Best Western we have ever stayed in. the property is beautifully kept with flowers everywhere! Breakfast area is good and clean. Attendants very friendly. Clean laundry room also appreciated. We stayed in a suite that was spacious and comfortable and well appointed. The only thing I would recommend for the suite is to have a small towel rack at the bathroom sink and maybe a shelf for the hand towels in order to free up some space on the counter. The free shuttle service to the Shakespeare Festival is a bonus. Convenient to downtown and restaurants.

I don't usually expect more than ordinary when staying at a Best Western hotel but I found this one to be really great. The staff is friendly, the room is really large and well decorated, there was a bathtub and a good breakfast is free. I didn't give this hotel five stars because it has one of those under the window air conditioners although it wasn't as noisy as some. The breakfast room was too small too. It's outside of Ashland as well. In any case, this a a good place to stay and you can get a free van to the Shakespeare Festival plays

Wonderful place to stay. The owners must have the jewel of all the Best Western. They had a huge staff to help for the morning breakfast, well stocked and and above average selection of hot foods. The grounds are stunning. When we were leaving saw a gardener just pruning the roses, they really care and it shows inside and out.

What a beautiful surprise! My husband and I needed a place to stay in Ashland for one night before heading home. We chose this Best Western based on location, and boy, were we surprised at this lovely hotel! Warmly greeted, request for a first floor room happily arranged, grounds and room super clean, and the landscaping is utterly gorgeous. The bed was comfy, great shower, fabulous swimming pool. Next time we come to Ashland, we will stay here.

We had a mostly good experience at the Best Western Windsor Inn. The staff and housekeeping crews were excellent and our room was clean and comfortable. I was, however, disappointed to find that the weight machine in the fitness center was out of order. Also, the motel is located 2-3 miles from downtown Ashland, meaning that access to restaurants, plays and other features was a bit limited, though the hotel did provide a good shuttle service. We also really liked the shuttle driver, who had lots of information about the area.

Good value, clean, and free breakfast is always a bonus. Weuse Best Western most of the cities we visit while on driving vacations and they are consistent and we knowwhat to expect. Best Western does not dissapoint

My daughter and I found the Windsor Best Western an comfortable place to stay in Ashland Oregon. The room was comfortable, the breakfast was very good, and the pool area and outside areas were relaxing. The stay was topped off with good service and a beautiful view from our room.

Great place to stay. Beautiful building in the theme of old London. Easy location - right off interstate 5. Minutes away from downtown Ashland. Has shuttle bus to take if you are going to the plays and don't want to mess around driving and finding parking. Comfy beds and quiet location.

Big, clean rooms with comfy beds and chairs. The exterior is quite attractive and the grounds are clean and well-kept. There is a nice hot tub and swimming pool and a really good restaurant/brewery about two blocks away so you can walk if you want. The breakfast is good, hot waffles, pancakes, eggs sausage, and all the other goodies, but the breakfast area can get crowded and tight. The only detraction is they have a really nice desk in the room but don't have electrical outlets available to charge all the electronic gizmos people carry when travelling. Everybody we talked to on the staff was great, friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable about the town and attractions.

I go to this motel regularly because my Granddaughter lives in Ashland and because of the Staff. I was warmly welcomed by Ryan and Peter when I arrived with my dog. I had to return to the office because I locked myself out. Ryan teased me charmingly as he made a new key for me. Within 15 minutes, I locked myself out again. I returned to the office ready to face a certain amount of deserved irritation. Instead, these two men were understanding, gracious and full of fun. My family stayed in another room, close by, and they too had a wonderful time.

We stopped here on our way back to Portland, and it was our first visit to Ashland. We're loyal to BW and this hotel is a good example of why. BW is synonymous of politeness, cleanness and value, and this hotel checks all the point. Plus a fabulous landscaping to make you feel like you're in a cottage instead of facing a gas station (rather convenient to have I have to say). Will be back for a longer stay and check some shows taking advantage of the free shuttle!

very nice exterior, pleasing to the eye it was built to fit in with the town decor,nice interior, friendly staff. It had a nice breakfast and adjacent restaurant. I would stay there again.when traveling through that part of Oregon. Ashland itself was a surprising quaint little city

We recently stayed at The Windsor Inn for a work trip. Before arriving, the manager matched a quote given to us weeks prior so that set the tone for our arrival - we were happy guests! The rooms were nice and we were put close to the pool for added convenience. Unfortunately, we didn't get much sleep as it sounded as if a track team was doing sprints above us all night long. We complained and were assured those guests were checking out but the problem persisted on night two, even while wearing earplugs and running the a/c I could still hear every step. Insulation/floor padding is poor in this hotel. We suggest getting a second floor unit if you want a good night's rest. Night two we were met with a ceiling water leak in the bathroom. They offered to move us for the night to another room and discounted our room rate upon check out. Overall, good experience. Skip the eggs for breakfast and book a top floor room.

The hotel has an attractive exterior, with several garden areas, but the rooms are very dark. Even with the curtains wide open and all the lights on, our room was dark. One reason it is so dark is the dark decor, the other is the lighting. The mattress was comfortable, but the bedding was a little strange. They had sheets and then a heavy bed cover, nothing else. Most Best Westerns provide sheets and then a lighter covering, with a bed cover above it. This way you don't have to use the heavy bed cover to keep warm. The sheet alone was not warm enough and the sheet with the covering blanket was too warm. The service was good from the front desk and the breakfast was good. It was okay for a one night stay, but wouldn't have wanted to stay longer.

Very comfortable room, very clean, easy access to center of town at Ashland. Breakfast was ok but ran out of fruit. Didn't use outdoor swimming pool. Highly recommended and a much cheaper than staying directly in town.

Travelling I-5 corridor and chose to stop in Ashland for the night, unknowingly during the Shakespeare festival. Easy access to Interstate. Hotel was busy, but found a room no trouble. Very clean and quiet. Good location, and nice gardens and property. Only negative would be below average water pressure in shower, otherwise great place. Had our schedule not been so tight, would have enjoyed a leisurely breakfast, swim, and relaxing for a couple of hours in the sunshine.

This motel can only be described as the most enjoyable and relaxing place to stay of any of the Best Western motels or other hotels/motels we have stayed at over the past 40 years of our travels throughout the USA.

Property is beautiful, reminded me of a Barvarian village. Prensentation of breakfast was clean and hot where applicable. Rooms were clean and comfortable. We used the pool and hot tub and the area was clean and hot tub was warm to our liking.

Late afternoon with no hotel reservation, we tried this hotel for the possibility of a walk up vacancy. Very surprised on quality of all aspects of our overnight stay. Clean, quiet just off I5. Front desk attendant was exceptional and renewed my interest in the Best Western brand. He affected our continued trip by looking for a BW hotel first where ever our end of day driving left us, again with walk-up vacancy expectations. Resulted in 4 additional BW stays. Great value.

Last minute stay at a hotel was a great experience due to the staff and the very nice accommodations. The wi-fi was very fast. The breakfast was very hot and had good variety and healthy options. We liked it so much we stayed at this hotel on the return trip

We were very impressed with this hotel. Room was quiet, very clean, looked recently remodeled, comfortable beds. Nice outdoor pool/jacuzzi and also exercise room with usual equipment and large windows, so it didn't feel claustrophobic like in some hotels. Breakfast room with indoor/outdoor seating. Good food with hot and cold options. Not located downtown, but much less expensive than those hotels. Plus, we went down the street to Caldera Brewery and had a very good dinner.

Great customer service and wonderful pet friendly place to stay while in Ashland. A little far from downtown but great restaurant next door. Clean, nice grounds. Roses are beautiful! Comfy beds. Breakfast good. Super nice employees! Third time here. Recommend highly!

Keith at the front desk was STELLAR! He was super friendly and helpful. The hotel was beautiful and the fitness room was outstanding! The location was great & I can't believe how great the price was for the room - a total steal! I will definitely stay there again.

We were greeted in the office by Ryan. He was enthusiastic and had a funny sense of humor. I enjoyed our room. It had an old time feel with the upholstered tub chairs. The room was a nice size and comfortable with double sinks in the room and a separate bathroom with the shower/tub and toilet. Our bed was comfortable and I enjoyed how the decorative pillows made the bed look like a 5 star hotel beds decor. The breakfast was nothing super special but for free it was just fine and appreciated.

Best westerns are reliable places to stay. This one is too. It's a little ways from downtown but if you're passing through , it's a good place to be. Breakfast is adequate but there can be many kids running around. Some rooms have jacuzzis and that's kinda cool. Nice garden.

We stayed here twice last week: Once on our way down to CA and once again on the return trip home from CA. The hotel was well reviewed, reasonably priced, decently located (easy on/off from the highway) and appeared from the guest pictures to be fairly well maintained. We booked through a third party but our in-person check-in experience was good. Staff were very energetic and helpful. We prefer a room on the second floor (even though there is no elevator) because I can't stand the sound of footsteps etc. above me. It's not much effort to haul luggage up a few stairs. Once in the room, we were thrown back to childhood memories of family vacations with our parents - that ever so familiar hotel room layout. That statement is somewhat double edged as the rooms do need a good refresh. No complaints about the cleanliness in terms of dirt etc. I ranked this 3/5 for cleanliness due to the smell: I'm not sure how long ago the no-smoking policy went into effect but the stale smell of cigarettes was very evident, and I'm quite sensitive to it. I know it's something extremely difficult to get rid of unless the room is gutted with new drywall etc. The pool and hot tub were a good size. I only used the hot tub because the pool's heat was just turned on and still quite cold. I know margins can be fairly tight, and running these profitably can be challenging. Where possible, I believe ownership should begin to substantially update the rooms. At this price point, you're competing with newer/brand new hotels. That said, demand is high and I'm sure vacancy is near zero when the weather gets nice... doesn't necessarily force updates to remain competitive. It's worth mentioning there is a brew-pub not a far walk from this hotel. Terrific food and selection of micro-brew. No complaints about the included wifi, and we used the on site laundry which worked well and was very clean. Note: only one washer and one dryer are available.

We came to Ashland for 2 nights for the Oregon Shakespeare Festival and reserved this Best Western several months in advance. Firstly, I recommend coming here in May, because it is not too hot yet, most of the tourists have not yet arrived, fire season is not quite started, and it is a pleasant time of year to see the pink and white dogwoods blooming all over Ashland. This Best Western is really well maintained. It is 2 stories, and I definitely recommend the upper floor unless you have a mobility issue because there are no elevators. This room has a mini refrigerator, large screen TV, desk area, table with two easy chairs, double sink bathroom, and good lighting throughout. The two queen beds are very comfortable, and plenty of pillows are provided to make you comfortable.\\ Parking is free and plentiful, and there is easy access to I-5 and downtown Ashland as well. Check in was easy and convenient. The housekeeping staff was right on the ball - we left for just a few hours and came back to find that the room had been freshened while we were gone. The breakfast here is a very enhanced continental - with scrambled eggs, bacon, breads including bagels, oatmeal, cereals, fresh fruit, and coffee. I was impressed with the variety of items and they tasted great as well. Overall, a very solid 5 star review for this hotel. I will be back!

We were very happy to find this accommodation. The room was large, the beds comfortable, everything was clean. It is a short drive into town. there are two restaurants just around the corner from the Inn. We went to the pub where they have many different beers to try. Their hamburgers were outstanding. The service was a bit slow but the staff were attentive and polite.

I've been going to Best Westerns since the early eighties. Back then they were like Holiday Inns - strictly average. It's 2019 and this BW, and the one in Woodburn Oregon both were so much better. Where to begin... The building was Tudor style, very attractive; no cleaner or any other kind of smell; the staff was friendly and professional; the breakfast outstanding; price was more than reasonable; grounds well lit and we felt safe; we weren't gouged for any extras - a box of tissues, a toothbrush. In summary, a great value with no compromise for a good price.

I have stayed at this hotel in the past and have never been disappointed. The facility is well maintained the room was very clean, the parking is adequate, it's close to town and it's just off the freeway and easy to access.

After driving all day we pulled into Windsor Inn. It was beautiful. Ryan the clerk made us feel so welcome, suggested places to eat and rounded up a microwave for us before we even had the car unpacked. The room was down right elegant. I can't find anyway that our stay could have been improved on except......It made the next night up the road rather a let down.

We had been a on a short road trip and were staying at Best Westerns along the way. This is one of the few Best Westerns that did not have a microwave oven as a standard amenity. I had called to verify but they said we could request one and it was waiting for us in our room when we arrived. As usual it was a clean, quiet room, convenient to find. We had no issues. We were located close to the breakfast room which was nice. It was another good experience for us.

Close to highway but a ways from downtown where most of the restaurants are. Comfortable beds and good heater. Breakfast was average with most items a little on the warm and not hot side.Good brewed coffee.

An older but clean, quiet and comfortable room but don't expect too many bells and whistles- for example no microwave. It is reasonably close to the Ashland theatre district and provides good value for the dollar. No complaints.

Needed to spend the night before going over the pass. Heating unit did not work in first room took 2 hours to attempt to resolve then room change. Second room was next to a dog who had been left alone in room. Dog cried, barked, whined from 8pm until 3pm. Desk person had no way to resolve situation. It was a long night with no sleep. Staff was friendly but helpless.

We stayed here on our way to California. What a great place! Front desk gentleman who checked us in was professional and courteous! It was a quick check in and he even did our checkout as we were leaving early in the morning. The room was perfect and the beds were comfy! The pool was not heated, but we were able to go to a neighboring hotel to use their indoor pool (the boys loved that)! The continental breakfast was great and we all chowed down on pancakes, waffles, eggs & sausage! Would definitely stay here again! Easy on & off to the highway!

This hotel is consistently clean, has pleasant helpful staff, and is a good value for the area. There is easy freeway access without the road noise. It is a quick drive to downtown. The workout facility is very well equipped and pleasant.

Spent one night while visiting the campus of Southern Oregon University. It is a nice place to stay. We will definitely stay there again if we end up coming back to Ashland. Staff is friendly and the rooms are clean and nice.

Loved everything about this stay with the exception of front desk attendant who did not seem thrilled at all! We chalked it up to her having a bad night but encourage her to be on her best behavior as she represents the BW brand. Aside from that-room was newly remodeled, very comfortable and had easy access. We would stay here again and hope that the next welcome will be warmer!

Very spacious, extremely quiet room. Great breakfast with hot and cold items in an immaculate breakfast room. Good room rate. Will absolutely stay there again.

Quaint architecture, great beds, pillows and sheets! Slept very well here. Front desk was friendly and the breakfast was better than the usual fare. Easy to find off the interstate and rates were not unreasonable. Whole heartedly recommend!

we only stayed one night here on a long drive. Very convenient location for the Interstate. It was very cold and snowy so we didn't walk around much but we had a nice simple meal at the adjoining restaurant. The welcome on reception was very friendly. The hotel has a nice smart atmosphere. The room was spacious, comfortable and clean. We were able to park right outside the door. Breakfast was a little above average in a bright, clean room in the conference centre.

Our stay was more than we expected, the breakfast buffet was great and all the staff were very friendly. The amenities were great as well, the hot tub and swimming pool. The bed was really comfortable! We had a great time!

We stayed one night with our dog. The room was clean and felt like just a normal room rather than “leave the worst rooms for pet owners” we usually run into. The king size bed was very comfortable with quality bedding. The shower was so roomy with the curved shower rod! My only critique would be the low toilet needs updating. We will absolutely stay here again.

This Hotel is the Best Hotel to stay in with your family! It is always very clean and it is recently remodeled. The pool & jacuzzi is conveniently located & the landscaping around the pool & entire grounds are beautiful. The staff is Always incredibly helpful & always willing to go out of there way to help without being asked. It is located close to downtown Ashland which has plenty of nice options for dining and family activities during the day & nightlife for couples in the evening. The mall is only a short 10 minute drive for the tweens in the family who love to shop & there is a nice gym to unwind in.

We have stayed here several times over the past 6 years and this year was exceptional!! They have done a remodel on the rooms and it is amazing. The color scheme is great and how clean the rooms smell! The front desk was so welcoming and the housekeeping fabulous. We love Ashland and will ALWAYS stay at this hotel! Cannot thank you enough for being a breath of fresh air when it comes to hotel stays.

We only stayed one night but this was a clean comfortable place to sleep while traveling. We enjoyed the breakfast provided although it seems pretty standard for the chain mid priced hotels. The staff was friendly and we would stay again when traveling up and down the western states.

We will absolutely be staying here again. The room was clean and quite large. They left more than enough towels. Their breakfast had a large selection of just about everything you could want. It is located in walking distance to many different restaurants.

You will want to stay at the BW Windsor if - you appreciate top quality bedding, exceptional, friendly staff, great breakfast. This was our first trip and I will highly recommend this hotel. It is in the quiet part of Ashland with good dining options surrounding it and only a short 15 minutes to Medford. Treat yourself to luxury and a quiet, restful night.

This Best Western is our all-time favorite! Super clean, really wonderful staff, and the breakfast is good, too! The bed was comfy, the bathroom was really cleaned well. This hotel is really huge probably the biggest Best Western we've stayed in, There are loads of rooms, and they are very reasonably priced. To top it off, there is a fantastic craft brew pub about a quarter mile away that has tons of beers and really decent food. We will definitely be staying here again and again during our frequent travels.

We enjoyed this hotel and location. The price was great and the room was very nice. We had the king/jazcuzzi room. It is only 5 minute drive into downtown Ashland. The coffee was really really good! We would stay again

We have stayed at the Windsor before several times and it seems like they have updated the rooms recently as the one we had looked like it had new carpets and furniture. Overall for the price it is a great option for us on the road from CA to OR

I'd have to say this really ranks as one of the TOP (if not THE top) hotels I have stayed at. Absolutely beautiful hotel and grounds. Peter was so very nice and helpful from booking my room, to checking in. I loved the complimentary waters and granola bars, nice touch! When I opened the door to our room I was happily surprised to see wonderful new bedding, large room and t.v., fridge, and the big soaking tub that I requested to have! They also have a Keurig coffee maker instead of the junky ones you normally see at hotels, as well as a nice hair dryer. Again, hotels usually have the cheapest of appliances but this best western does not skimp! Same with towels. I usually have to ask for more wash clothes and towels, but we had plenty. It is so great to not have to ask for things like that!We slept great on the bed quite comfy, nice a quiet location. I would LOVE to stay here again. We had a nice, romantic trip, cant wait to come back.If I had any suggestions it would only be to make check out at noon, I love a little extra time getting ready. And making breakfast available later, at least on weekends. I wish I could have tried the breakfast.Thank you for a wonderful stay and setting the bar high for other hotels!!

We like this hotel as a place for overnights on roadtrips or when we want to stay in Southern Oregon for a few days and hit numerous spots. The rooms are clean, the staff is friendly and the breakfasts are just what you need to start the day feeling good.

We stayed there for 2 nights at the end of October. From the outside by the style of the layout it looks like somewhat dated motel. It is conveniently located next to Hwy 5 just few miles before the downtown. We had king bed room. It was good size, very clean and w/ nice classy décor. Breakfast was pretty good – scrambled and hard-boiled eggs, bacon, potatoes, pancakes & waffles. Definitely would stay there again.

Stayed here on our way home from Thanksgiving. Room is very clean and big. Check in was smooth considering the clerk was busy with phone always ringing (they had no vacancies). He was very polite while a lot was going on. They had the best breakfast for a hotel that I have seen in awhile. I appreciated that there were plenty of towels in the bathroom. I would stay here again. Restaurant and gas stations right next door.

We happened to stay in a suite. It was like an apartment with a kitchen, living room, bathroom with a private sink, and another personal sink outside of the bathroom, and a private bedroom with a king sized, comfortable bed. Clean, reasonably priced, and would be great for an extended stay.

After a long and grueling adventure into the redwood forests of California's coast, our group of about 50 all booked rooms at this hotel and couldn't have been happier. They got us our rooms quickly, the rooms were very comfortable and the staff worked with us to get us a nice group rate. At the end of the day, it wasn't the cheapest or the most expensive but they really just catered to what we were looking for - which was a place to rest peacefully for a night. It was also a bit charming.

This is my 4th stay in this location including a trip where I made reservations for out of Oregon guests. Rooms are always spotless, ready upon arrival, and very comfortable. Food at breakfast is excellent with variety. Staff is most helpful and friendly. Location is close to I-5 but never noisy. If you do not want or need to be in Downtown Ashland, this is a excellent priced option. My partner and I are 77 and 82 years wise and picky. We travel a lot. Buy at the BW website and save a few dollars.

Reception personnel were very helpful at check-in and check-out. CArpet on all exteranl room walk ways making it very quite when one rolls luggage. Rooms very large with high ceilings and chair outside the rooms for oneto sit and taking in the mountain views for sun rise and sunset

This place was very clean, and the staff was very friendly! Beds were super comfy! The breakfast which is complimentary was delicious! So much to chose from from hot pancakes, biscuits and gravy, eggs, bacon, hot oatmeal, cereals, breads, fruit, etc!!! It's a cute as can be on exterior too!

A recent past experience at another Best Western and seeing all of the positive reviews on Tripadvisor, we trusted a stay at the Best Western Inn Windsor. My wife and I stayed at this hotel one night while returning home to San Francisco from a road trip vacation along the California & Oregon Coast. We traveled with our Boston Terrier and required a pet-friendly hotel around mid-point on our trip home along Interstate 5, and Ashland was a good halfway point. Booking via telephone was quick and easy, as was check-in upon arrival. We were assigned room 102 which is located directly across from the office, beneath a protective overhead cover on the main driveway entry into the hotel. The cover is probably much appreciated during inclimate weather but also creates a "sound chamber" of an unacceptable level from vehicle traffic entering/leaving the hotel at all hours. The room appeared to be clean upon first entry, but upon closer look, with my reading glasses on, it was far from it--human hair on the bathroom floor, filthy arms on the upholstered arm chairs, something brown and sticky on the curtain draw pull, brownish-black spots (not stains) on the bed duvet cover, broken tiles in the bathroom. If we had given closer attention and inspected the entire room upon check in and to the vehicle noise (we didn't observe and fully recognize the extent of issues until we returned from dinner and touring of local area) we would have asked to be moved to another room. Unfortunately by the time we identified all issues we were already deeply embedded and the hotel was pretty full. By morning we were so annoyed by the experience that we packed and evacuated without checking out the free buffet breakfast. Note that we had stayed at the Best Western Plus Bayshore Inn at Eureka, CA on our way north and enjoyed the exact opposite of this experience--clean, quiet and comfortable. Not what one expects for the premium charge of $175/night (with pet charge). Upon expressing our dissatisfaction with clerk upon check out, she replied "I'm sorry, I hope the rest of your day is better." No offer of discount for this stay nor another stay in the future. We will not be returning to this hotel--there are way too many options in the area to be placed in a guest room that is only suitable to be a storage room. Hotel ratings below of "Terrible" are provided due to 1) lack of quality control of cleanliness by housekeeping and lack of maintenance (broken floor tiles in bathroom, bad shower head), and 2) unacceptable vehicle noise level near assigned room #102 at entry driveway/portico. "Average" rating for location is relative to the hotel proximity to highway and services.

It is a 3D motel. Dark, Dingy and Dirty. When you showered you had to let the water drain out so you wash your feet because the drain was plugged and the water would rise up to your ankles. Had to leave AC off at night because it was so loud. The grounds are nice and well maintained. Breakfast was typical of Best western, scrambled and bacon, sausage etc. Breakfast staff was attentive.

Driving from Napa to Portland we planned to stay at this BW. Close to the freeway, we arrived mid afternoon. First impression was great, well kept area and easy parking. Ryan was on the phone when're entered the reception. Seemed pretty annoyed, and at this pointe didn't felt that welcome. However from this point on, Ryan was very attentive to every detail about our stay. Later in the evening, we saw Ryan expect everything in the area, like his own property. The area is spotless and it is obviously very well managed. The room and especially the bed is very comfortable. Everything clean. The pool area very nice and we enjoyed the whirlpool so much. So hot, and with cold beer and wine.. WiFi great. Forget the breakfast. Quality, ambiance - everything do not match this place. Work on this BW, and give Ryan a lift on payment. Will be back. Not for the breakfast.

We have stayed here before and always like it. It's right off the freeway and relatively close to food and downtown Ashland. The staff is always very kind and accommodating. They were really good about getting us a ground level room for my physically-challenged mother-in-law so that was greatly appreciated. Very comfortable room, and we really feel like the staff cares about us. Really good breakfast. I highly recommend the Windsor Inn.

At least in our room. We stayed here while going to a couple plays at OSF. The room was clean and well maintained EXCEPT for the HVAC system. The temps in Ashland were in the 90's this week and we were looking forward to an air-conditioned room after a five hour drive down. We got what we wanted and more! The temperature in the room was down around 60 degrees when we arrived. We tried using the remote (there is no other option) and it would not turn off or up. I checked in the hotel services directory and there was a whole page on how to use the remote and that it sometimes does not work well. Obviously this was not the first time they have had problems with their system. After failing to turn the AC off, I called the front desk and asked for help. They then proceeded to walk me through the remote functions, which I had already fully explored. When I told them it was not working they said someone would come up. After 20 plus minutes one of the staff did show up and was also unable to shut the AC off using the remote. He then proceeded to show us a switch on the actual HVAC unit itself that if moved in the proper sequence, might or might not change the function and or temperature of the unit. The only way for my wife or I to reach this switch was to stand on a bench in the room and reach over the armoire. Real convenient. In the end we simply shut the bleeping HVAC unit off completely, (That part of the remote functioned.) and went without HVAC. When we checked out we asked for a discount, and were told we should have advised them that the HVAC was not working. Hmmm, wonder what it was we were doing when we told them it was not working when we checked in? We did get a few dollars off our bill in the end. Moral of the story, if you choose to stay here, make sure the HVAC is working when you arrive, and keep complaining if it does not function correctly.

I needed a place to stay on my way home to Seattle and this place fit the bill nicely. Great check in experience and really clean room. The exterior suits Ashland well as it resembles an English hotel. Good parking lot lighting and o recall secure feeling.

For our second trip to Ashland for the Shakespeare Festival we returned to this Best Western for its service and convenience. The rooms are large and convenient with both a desk and table and chairs by the window. The beds are comfortable. The internet is fast, especially if you need to work a few hours of the day as I did.Breakfast is a buffet with eggs, bacon or sausage, sauteed potatoes, biscuits and gravy to choose from. There is fresh fruit, a variety of breads, oatmeal with raisins and nuts to sprinkle on top, pancakes and waffles. The coffee is quite good. Best of all, ithe buffet lasts till 9:30.There is a laundry room with plenty of light and a large table for folding. The cost is currently $1.50 for the washer and a quarter will get you 45 minutes on the dryer with more minutes for each quarter. Really a bargain for hotel facilities. Only drawback is that there's only one washer and one dryer.Shuttle service into Ashland is outstanding. Reserve a place on the shuttle an hour in advance and return to the hotel when the shuttle comes in with another load or after your play in the evening. Our shuttle driver, Peter, had excellent suggestions for restaurants. He was often early to return after a play in case it got out early so we wouldn't have to stand in the dark and cold.We met a couple who has been coming to this hotel for 25 years. They stayed somewhere else one year and regretted it, even though it was closer to downtown Ashland. This is a very comfortable place with cheerful, helpful staff to make your stay a real pleasure.

I did a trip up the coast and then over to Crater Lake and down to Ashland. In the process I stayed at 4 Best Westerns on my trip and this was definitely a step up. The other 3 were nice and would stay at those again but this one was at the next level. Good breakfast area and the room was very comfortable and the best bed of the trip. Would absolutely stay here again. Could be more like 4 1/2 circles

The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable with an abundance of pillows. There were two sinks and a spacious vanity outside the toilet and tub/shower room. Made getting ready in the morning for two people a breeze. The breakfast was the best we had on this latest two week trip. The only thing missing was a microwave in the room,which we sorely needed for some left over food from a restaurant the night before. I would stay here again.

I have stayed in many motels/B&Bs over the years in Ashland. Most places I have really enjoyed. I believe, however, that the bed I slept in at the BW Windsor Inn was one of the most comfortable I have ever slept in! The room was immaculately clean and was very welcome after a long drive. The people at the reception desk were very helpful and pleasant. The BW Windsor Inn is not walking distance to the festival, but closer to I-5. However, I heard no highway noise. Really enjoyed my stay - and would stay again! On this trip I had my little dog with me, so the pet friendly room was appreciated.

We've stayed here several times, and the rooms are very clean and well maintained, and a good value for what you get. Quiet, with good beds and a decent pool. Highly recommend for anyone attending OSF!

First room offered smelled of smoke and we were moved. Comfortable bed, clean and close to 2 restaurants with pretty good food. The grounds are way over grown and in need of some severe maintenance which drags down the look of the place. Nice staff at check in.

Room was ready on time. Nicely decorated. Ample size to be comfortable. Staff friendly and helpful. Very clean and maintained well. All equipment working nicely. Breakfast was nearby, hot, and tasty each day.

A quick annual trip to Ashland to see the Shakespeare plays. We've always stayed close to town but thought we should change it up a bit and stay just outside of town and we were not disappointed (with the quality of air since the whole area was blanketed in smoke). The premise was quaint and well kept and checkin fast. The room was very spacious and comfortable, well appointed decor and modern. The breakfast was tasty and had lots of options. The location of the hotel was perfect for on/off freeway and about 5-7 minutes into downtown Ashland.

We stayed here one night. The room was a nice size but the air condition was not cold enough. There is no elevator, there are no luggage carts. The covers on the bed are very heavy and there were no blankets in the closet to use. For what you get, it is not worth what they charged.

Our family had a very nice 2 day stay here. Enjoyed the size, cleanliness & decor of our room. We stayed at an expensive, high end resort later in the week and thought the quality of our room at Best Western was much nicer. We used the fitness room, pool, and enjoyed the continental breakfast (lots of options, good quantity/quality). Upstairs room had a vaulted ceiling which made the room feel spacious. There appeared to be other families staying here, but it was still very quiet. We would definitely stay here again.

My family has stayed at the Best Western Windsor Inn in Ashland a number of times over the last 8-10 years, and I need to give this hotel the props it deserves. For a family of 2 or 12, young and old, the Windsor Inn literally has it all: nice rooms, continental breakfast, work-out room, and best of all, pool and hot tub. It's the complete package! The staff is always courteous and attentive, and the rates are competitive. If you're traveling on I-5 and just passing through, or staying for the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, I highly recommend staying at the Best Western Windsor Inn in Ashland.

Hotel is very easy to find just off Highway 5. That being said, our "suite" on the end of the building had a tiny bit of freeway noise. Room was to be ready at 3:00 PM when we arrived - had to wait until 4PM (received an $11 credit - how calculated I have no idea). Air conditioner in bedroom started to make a horrible banging noise during the night. Turned it off and we were still comfortable with the one in the living room area running. Breakfast was quite nice - good scrambled eggs, bacon, and various breads for toast. Heard some footsteps from upstairs. Roses and hydrangeas in garden areas were lovely.

We would love to give this hotel seven stars if it were an option. We have done a lot of traveling this summer and have stayed in over a dozen hotels in the past three months. This place was the best of the best! Pros: Excellent pool area that has lots of fresh towels warmed by the sun. Very nice fitness room. Fabulous breakfast buffet with gluten free options (bread) and dairy free milk (almond). Very, very few other hotels had these amenities, but the Windsor Inn staff said they are required to have GF and DF options on hand by request. Friendly desk staff and breakfast room staff. All requests for information and assistance were handled with cheerful smiles. We printed our theater tix in the lobby. The gardens are incredibly beautiful with hydrangeas, roses, and many other lovely blooms. It felt like being in Stratford upon Avon! The room itself was large, clean, cool, and had updated features. We cannot say enough good things about this place. A short drive to downtown, near some world class wineries and the Dagoba chocolate tasting room. What more could you ask for?

The overall layout of the property, the friendly professionalism of all of the staff, the beautifully appointed rooms, as well as the handy shuttle to and from the Shakespeare Festival all made to a happily memorable stay.

Probably the best facility we have stayed in. Hotel was impeccable, the grounds were impeccable, and the breakfast was impeccable. I don't know what else to say, this beats many of the BW plus facilities. I would not hesitate staying here again.

Hotel was nice, and clean. Staff at check in and out were very friendly and attentive. Breakfast was very nice and well maintained, lots of good options. My only concern was that our guest room door did not shut on its own. If I had not been there with my husband, I would not have felt as safe staying here as I am used to hotel doors that shut automatically. Other than that, the stay was great and comfortable for our night there.

The property here is lovely. Climbing jasmine scents the area and there is an apparent effort to make it attractive with above average landscaping. The room had a terrific large bathtub. Linens were subpar. The blanket was an unpleasant synthetic which I had to swap out with the extra cotton blanket they provided. The aiir conditioning was a bit noisy. Breakfast was ok. I requested a microwave and it was in my room when I arrived. One oddity, the gentleman who checked me in said he was giving me an upgraded room. He was quickly overruled by another staff member. It was an awkward, disappointing moment.

Clean comfy rooms, speedy enough wifi for work (attached photo of speed test), well kept pleasant pool to cool down in summer heat, good breakfast with lots of choices included. This is a multi day stay, as well as repeat visit for our family & we'll be back next time we see more plays. Somehow didn't get adjoining rooms booking thru Trip Advisor instead of BW (request got lost) despite booking months in advance.

The Best Western Windsor was perfect for our needs. We needed a place to stay for 2 nights as we were enjoying the Shakespeare festival. The rooms were clean, air conditioned and had everything we needed; the breakfast was full with eggs, bacon, oatmeal, pancakes, waffles, etc; and the shuttle service to the plays was totally unexpected and wonderful as we didn't have to worry about parking. Many people were traveling with their pets as it is a pet friendly hotel.

Newly updated, big rooms with A-frame ceilings, very clean and comfortable. Free breakfast included proteins and variety of options. Great for families. If it was on the other side of freeway, walking distance to town, it would have been perfect.

We were there for a camp for our kid Only complaint is showers were warm only no hot water for shower morning or night otherwise it's A ok place to stay didn't have many choices to stay in Ashland . If we ever need to go there again I won't stay there

I am in the Rogue Valley once a month and love to stay here, It's affordable, the rooms are spacious and very quiet and the beds are comfortable. I have a dog and there is lots of room for walking with him. The morning breakfast has healthy options.

Arrived with my sister for a graduation! Stayed one night, the next two nights had two adjoining rooms with additional family members. The buffet breakfast was great with a large variety of items. My sister is a Gold member with Windsor. There were a few bumps in the road from not having the correct arrival date (we stayed at another hotel one night earlier)after verification, to asking if we could check in early the next day, being told yes, then calling our cell phone asking for some random person we had no idea whom it was, to saying upon check in my sister's credit card expired when in fact she called one month prior and gave a new credit card number. The PR was rough around the edges and needs improvement. I spoke to the Manager who clearly was uncomfortable while calmly explaining our concerns. When I went into the office I asked to speak to the hotel manager and one of the staff asked “are you a guest?” My take: having been a contributor and traveled to many locations it's clear we weren't treated with the respect one would hope for. My sister has many happy as well as warm memories of being treated with respect in past stays which sadly was not the case this visit. With hopes a review of how guests should be treated in the future we collectively give a generous 3 stars.

Really well maintained with large rooms. Shower and toilet separate room from wash basins (2). Very good breakfast buffet with the usual offerings and kept well stocked and clean. Easy access off I5 on south of city.

First time to this location, but we stay at Best Westerns while on our road trips. And they are all nice including this location. Nice large rooms, that were very clean. The staff is very friendly, and there is lots of parking.

We stayed here just one nite while driving through Ashland on our way to California. Room was very clean and beds were comfortable. We tried using the pool and hot tub but the water in the hot tub was just tepid warm. It could have been a lot warmer. This is a well located hotel in Ashland (easy to get to from the freeway) and a nice clean comfortable place to stay. There are chairs just outside the front door which are wonderful for sitting to experience a warm evening sunset.

Stayed 3 nights here in a large room with king bed. Very comfortable beds. Friendly check in and friendly maid service. Breakfast is included with price and is a full hot American breakfast. Biscuits and gravy , eggs both scambled and hard boiled, bacon , sausage and potatoes. Besides pancakes, waffles, cereal, breads, muffins , fruit, juice and good coffee. Nice landscaping and very clean property. Will stay here again. Has a very large gym to work out in , super clean .

This hotel is right off I-5 so it is convenient. It is clean, with in walking distance of several restaurants, dog friendly, has a good breakfast, and good internet. The bed was comfortable and there were plenty of pillows.

Came to Oregon for a wedding and loved this place! Rooms were nice, outside is like being in a park, staff was helpful. Got a great rate with AARP discount. Would stay here again if we end up in this beautiful part of Oregon in the future.

Had a great one night stay here. Had no reservations but was able to score the last room on the first floor which just happened to be a handicapped room. The rooms are spacious, the beds are comfortable, the handicapped bathroom was very large with a wheel chair accessible beautiful tiled shower. The sink area was separate from the shower/ toilet area and had a nice, large countertop. The decor in the room was very nice. This hotel has a large breakfast area and a nice selection of items. All the staff here were great. After checking in we were having a hard time using our temperature remote and the front desk staff came and helped us out. Easy access to Hwy 5.

We enjoyed two nights at the Windsor Inn and were very pleased with all the accomodations. It was very quiet and we had all the amenities we could need in lcuding bottled water and a granola bar! This is very convenient to the Freeway and just minutes from the Theater and Plays. I see they have a VAN to shuttle people to the Plays which is extremely important...

Great staff, lovely room. The owner goes an extra mile to make the Inn good looking. The effort in landscaping shows the place off beautifully. Breakfast was OK...normal waffles, etc. Our overall experience was excellent.

BW Windsor was a great stop! The staff - all the staff - was cordial. There is a great brewery only 5 minutes away by foot. There is also a Mexican restaurant within walking distance which we didn't try. The pool was clean and refreshing. The hot tub jets were weak but that wasn't important to us.

Easy on and off to the freeway, terrific breakfast, friendly staff, recommended a good restaurant within walking distance for dinner, great return for your money, plenty of surfaces to put luggage so did not have to use the floor.

The warmth and hospitality toward guests, from check in through check-out provides a baseline of comfort that makes the whole stay relaxing and enjoyable. This also includes the staff in the breakfast room who are very friendly and engaging as well as those you just walk by. The landscaping is inviting and beautifully maintained, beyond what you often see in similar level hotels.

This is a beautiful, well-appointed and well maintained best western hotel in Ashland, less than 10 minutes from the Oregon Shakespeare Festival grounds. Our room was spacious, nicely furnished, with great beds. Larger dressing area with separate bathroom. Plenty of closet space. Nice pool, hot tub and very nice gym. easy walking to a couple restaurants. More important, I can't say enough about the staff, especially Ryan at the front desk. We came to him with two problems that were entirely of our own creation and he solved them cheerfully and competently. Many hotels don't realize the importance of friendly, welcoming, helpful front desk staff and clearly, this one does. It is on the street, so there is some very slight street noise. I didn't hear any noise from adjacent rooms. I don't travel anywhere without silicon earplugs but I didn't need them here. It was fine, I slept great. I only mention it if you're an ultra light sleeper you may to a request room towards the back of the hotel. If you're coming to southern Oregon and especially if you're coming for the Shakespeare Festival you would do well to stay here, and it's very well-priced for the area.

Nice hotel...easy access off the freeway...close to downtown Ashland. Staff was friendly. Room was clean and the internet worked great. Breakfast was standard fair but very fresh and staff kept everything week supplied. Overall a good experience and would stay here again.

We spent 3 nights in beautiful Ashland, Oregon. The location of our Best Western was perfect for our needs. They have a very nice breakfast to start your day. The bed was very comfortable. It was a great stay for us.

Large room with both a desk and a small table and chairs,big enough for four people to hang out. Good shower and bath, comfortable bed, everything works,reading light both sides of the bed, front desk helpful and friendly. Wider variety at breakfast, both scrambled and boiled eggs, both pancakes and oatmeal, bacon and home fries. Reasonable price in late April, short drive to the Shakespeare Theaters.

The room was extra large with a very comfortable bed, sink separate from the toilet and shower/bath. The room was very quiet, clean, and comfortable. The breakfast was extra good with great yogurt, fresh breads, and good oatmeal. While it is an older motel, it is well kept up, and I was not aware of an elevator to the second floor rooms. We enjoyed our stay.

The price paid for this hotel was very reasonable. We enjoyed 3 nights there and attended two plays at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival in Ashland. We were also close to several wineries in the valley, We'll be back!

Good service and a pleasant stay. In Ashland for my wife, who needed eye surgery. Quiet hotel with good restaurants near by. I am prejudiced, but the Caldera Brewery has great beer and food and qujte a collection of beer bottles.

Quiet, well maintained property, with comfortable furniture and superior decor.. Breakfast room is more spacious than mnost - My only complaint would be with the plastic utensils, they were flimsy so not easy to dine with, hoever, this is a lovely motel and we would certainly stay here again and highly recommend it..

We felt like valued guests at every point in our stay. Cordial, exceptionally well trained staff and well kept grounds make this our favorite Best Western. Even staff casually crossing the parking lot will great a guest pleasantly.

Beds were clean, comfy, rooms were updated, and breakfast was good. Great value and would definitely stay again. Easy on and off access to freeway. Has all your basic necessities like coffee (kurig), wifi, big TV, and clean comfortable beds. Customer service in the office and breakfast area was great!

If you like hearing everything the people are doing in the next room (and them hearing you), this is your place. It's even better when you need to get to sleep at a normal hour and your neighbors are talking loudly, laughing and yelling into the late night. Also, the housekeeping staff did a poor job making up the room; they missed so much, I wonder how they also had time to chill and talk in the parking lot during the afternoon when I arrived. Definitely not worth the inflated price. There are much better options.

We had the pleasure of staying at the Best Western Windsor Inn for two weeks March 5-18, 2018. Our trip was because of unfortunate circumstances, however we were treated with respect and courtesy throughout our stay. Chloe, the manager was very helpful in adjusting last minute changes. Wendy, at the front desk was an absolute 10. She bent over backwards to make our stay the very best it could possibly be. We have been staying in this hotel for many years, often with friends in groups of 4 to 24! We have always had excellent service, any problems (which are few) are quickly attended to by staff. Breakfast has a wide variety of offerings and large tables where we can all sit together when we have a large group. It is not close in to town and theatres but with more reasonable rates, room for accommodating large groups both in the hotel and breakfast area, excellent service, it more than makes up for not being as close. Last fall when we had a group of 24. one of the rooms is much larger with a kitchenette, which was one of our room choices and it allows us to get together, order pizza and visit as a group. Hotel staff are always helpful giving us extra chairs and trash cans and last time we even met the hotel owner, who was delightful and joined us briefly. We are very happy with this hotel!

This was a great place to stay. The room was clean and the bed was so comfortable. There was also a nice breakfast with many choices. When we looked out in the morning, there was snow in the hills. So pretty! I would stay here again.

Researched for lodging in the area and so glad I choose this inn. Check in process was effortless and rooms were ready early. Our rooms were back near the pool. Rooms were very large and beds were SO comfortable!!! Room was super clean and fresh! Difficult to write about this place. While the room was typical for BW the staff were rude and not helpful. Asked about rules for dogs at the lakes and there was no interest in helping me. Asked about the area restaurants and got nothing, as well. The older lady was extremely rude when she realized we were from California. She asked what we were doing there and I said were looking to relocate. She said well we have to many people here, where are you looking. I said on the coast somewhere, then she was a little nicer. Could have stayed there again last night but will avoid this town in the future.

Perfect in every way, located right off the freeway, next to a good restaurant, 3 gas stations, pool, and excellent customer service. Breakfast is included and very good. Plan your next trip to stay here.

We stayed at the BW Windsor Inn on the way home. Very clean rooms, alpine type decor. Breakfast though...Wow. probably the best breakfast layout, quality and friendly staff we have experienced at a Best Western.

The BW Windsor Inn is a good place to stay. Not fancy, but updated and very clean. One of the best old-style motels I've stayed in within the BW network. Will plan to stop there again on road trips from Washington through Oregon.

The Best Western Windsor is about a block east of I-5 in Ashland. I stayed here because of plans to travel on to Seattle the next day. The pluses are closeness to the freeway, nice clean and quiet rooms, a very nice staff, and a reasonable breakfast that is included and very affordable rates in the winter. I know this sounds trivial or very "First Worldy", but my only complaint with the hotel is their coffee at breakfast. Boy it is a throwback to the 70s. In todays world of excellent coffee it is always jolting to run into bad coffee anywhere. It just does not have to be that way. My only concern for theater goers is that you would have to drive to everything to enjoy Ashland. So if you are a fellow traveller on I-5 stay here, and if you are a theater goer think twice. But in either case I hope they improve their breakfast coffee.

No matter where we go, we always find Best Western the best place to stay. From city to city and state to state, the rooms have been comfortable, the grounds clean, and the staff members are so polite, professional, and down to earth. Ashland BW was is different. THANK YOU!!

Nicely appointed well landscaped hotel in Ashland. We were given a free upgrade on arrival. Room was spacious and easily accessible. Breakfast experience was varied and excellent. When we departed, my wife left her Kindle reader behind. Hotel staff contacted us by phone and arranged to heave the device mailed home to us. Great service!

Great Hotel. Heater in room was very noisy which made it hard to sleep. Not sure if this particular heater needed repairs or if that is just how loud it is. Other than that great experience. The Hotel is absolutely beautiful.

I don't have high expectations for most "inexpensive" hotels, and since this reservation came out to about $85, I would have been happy with a nice bed, hot shower and little else. Check in was easy and we received a second room room with a king bed. There isn't an elevator but the room was right near the stairs. The room was nice and the bed felt comfortable. It had a flat screen TV with plenty of channels, and the bathroom was fine with a shower/bath. Everything was going smoothly until bed time around 10:30, when my wife cuddled up with the blanket to go to sleep and she recoiled in disgust. "Smell this," she said, and I did (unfortunately). The blanket reeked of B.O., pungent and strong. I walked down to the front desk and asked for a new blanket and sheet. The first question was how many people did I have in my room. What? I said just my wife, and that our blanket stunk of B.O. and we needed replacements. He apologized and said there should be an extra blanket in the room in one of the drawers. I said I'd check it out. Back in the room I found the blanket and it was fine but fuzzy, so my wife (who is seven-months pregnant) wanted a sheet between her and the blanket. Since she also pulls it around her, I would still need a sheet. So I called the front desk and explained the blanket was there but I still needed just a sheet. The man from the front desk thought about it (saying he didn't know where they kept the sheets) and said it would be a while, maybe 15 minutes. I waited. And waited. About 25 minutes later I called (11:10 or so) and he apologized and said it would be up shortly. It wasn't. At 5 'till midnight my wife called down (I was beyond irritated at this point) and we were given a final assurance it was coming (the guy was really busy, she was told). About 5 minutes later the sheet finally arrived. We slept well, and went to breakfast the next morning. I expected a bit more having read about the "full" breakfast but it was just an average breakfast buffer though it did have self service pancakes and waffles. There wasn't an omelette station, so that was a little less than you might find at similar free breakfasts. So overall I think this is an average hotel and without the service issues I may have done 3 or 4 stars, but I really was underwhelmed about the overall experience.

I was amazed at the price for this motel and even more amazed once I entered my room. This motel is like a three star hotel. Very clean and modern topped off with a very friendly staff. Our night also included a free breakfast that included waffles AND pancakes. I highly recommend you stay if choosing from other selections in the area. We will be staying there again on our way back home.

We love to stay at this hotel. It is clean, the breakfast is great, the property is well kept and is complete with rose garden . The rooms also seemed more updated and modern with new decor. We will stay again.

The Ashland Best Western is probably our favorite. You have to plan ahead during the Shakespeare Festival. The staff is the best!! Whoever hires all the staff at this location is excellent. Please enjoy when you visit. Breakfast is FANTASTIC!!!

I reviewed this Best Western in Ashland OR on line before booking. I was very pleased with everything when we checked in. The room was very clean, the heater was NOT noisy which is the case in some places we've stayed. We will stay there again.

Stopped here while driving to Portland . Good location and price was good . Room was a good size - no elevator to 2nd floor which was annoying with our bags but our main problem was the temperature . We checked in late at night and just wanted to get into bed - however the room was literally 32 degrees . My kids went to bed in their coats . They had an in room heater but it had to heat up which the front desk told me takes hours. Good idea would have been for them to turn it on before guests come but hey what do I know . They already had the crib in the room for us so I feel like it's a no brainer to put on the heat . Whatever - because of the heat issue I have to say it was poor otherwise it would have been average. No one wants to pay to stay in a room with kids that's 32 degrees . It's just absurd . Breakfast was ok but they didn't refill we went around 9;10 and they said they won't fill it any more so we just grabbed what we could . If the room was warm I think the experience would have been totally different . Even the toilet seat was like sitting on ice . Lol not at all acceptable . Sorry!!

Our family stayed at the Best Western Windsor Inn in the heat of July for one night as a stay over during our drive down to California. The air conditioning unit in our room was awful - it sounded like we were swimming in an aquarium. It needed maintenance for sure. I had complained upon checking out and then followed up with several phone calls to the manager Thomas. I had opened a claim through Air Miles Collector Relations and Thomas only replied to my messages after my claim was settled. Customer service is not what I received from this property.

On a road trip South, it was a restful place to relax and be ready for the drive the next day. The room we requested on the ground floor due to a handicapped limitation I have was perfect. Being close to the handicapped parking spaces was wonderful!

My husband and I stayed at this Best Western Hotel twice over Thanksgiving vacation and I highly recommend it. We stayed in Room 106 which had a very comfortable king-size bed, a refrigerator, 2 sinks for washing up, a nice shower, coffee maker and hair dryer, and a very good breakfast... not gourmet but there were many selections. There is a pool and hot tub but both are outside. I would stay here again, and if it's in the summer, I'll use the pool :-) The office staff was very friendly, we could park just outside our room and the price was reasonable.

Stayed twice in the past few weeks at Best Western Windsor Inn in Ashland. Price is quite reasonable, had a king bed room, very clean. They provide double sinks, nice shampoo/conditioner, refrigerator, everything works well including the air conditioning. Breakfast is quite extensive, includes cooked eggs, waffles, pancakes, cereal, lots more plus juices, yoghurt, coffee. The staff in the breakfast room is unusually friendly and helpful, just nice people. This motel is quite near the Caldera brewpub, maybe 3 minutes walking. Prices may change when the Shakespearean festival is presenting plays, but it's a good bargain now.

The staff are consistently friendly and helpful. The guest rooms are large and clean. The complimentary breakfast has a good selection and is well maintained. This is a very good facility that we will stay at again.

We always feel welcome at "The Windsor". The staff are incredibly hospitable and go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable. The breakfast is amazing, with great options from eggs and bacon to oatmeal with all the fixings!

My favorite hotel as I travel north-south between WA and CA. It's always perfect in all regards. I have a large dog and the hotel is pet-friendly, a requirement for my travels. I always call the hotel directly for reservations and they're always accurate and very professionally done. Rooms are clean and the Internet service is fast and reliable. Their breakfast service is one of the best I've seen - they have a full range of hot foods, fruits and bread products. And they have a pancake making machine, never seen that at any other hotel I've stayed at. One of my most favorite hotels. And the Oak Tree Northwest restaurant next door has great food. I always stop there for dinner before checking in.

The staff was very friendly whenever we encountered anyone at the facility. It was a very comfortable stay. No excessive noise and it was easy to get a good nights sleep. We would recommend this place to anyone traveling up and down I-5 freeway.

In room Keuring Coffee maker, fabulous fitness center, great breakfast and beutiful hotel decor make this a must stop and see for any traveler. Sound system powered by sirius radio in Fitness Center was unbelievable. In room coffee was better quality then going to a coffee house. Breakfast was hot, fresh and satisfying. Ski chalet decor gives you a first and last impression of first class quality.

Best Western Windsor Inn was a cozy older looking chalet style place that was a clean safe environment with nice furnishings. The front desk staff was outstanding, friendly and very helpful. Down the street behind the Inn, about 1-2 short blocks on a dead end street, there was a really fun craft beer brewery that had good food and drink. I felt very safe and comfortable as I walked there by myself. The next morning, there was a good breakfast served at the Inn. An excellent establishment with easy access off the freeway. Caution, do not speed when you get on the long stretch of the 5 as there are many on-ramp officers waiting to ticket you as you cruise on up to Portland!

Very convenient location for a stop on I 5 and visiting in Ashland (good theater and restaurants!) Not the closest hotel to theaters but excellent parking and a very pleasant facility, well-located for all activities - by car!

This motel has a great design, in line with the Shakespeare Festival in Ashland. The rooms and overall facility is modern, but with a classic old world look and feel. Great full hot breakfast. Close to I5 and easy access. Approximately 2 miles from downtown and lithia park.

The hotel looked outdated, but once I got inside, it added to the charm of the hotel as well as the town. The staff was so incredibly kind and friendly. We brought our dog, which limits our hotels and often leads to a bit dirtier room, that was not the case here. The room was immaculate!! We have a family of 4, so I always look for a hotel with a breakfast and this was the best one yet. The only complaint was there was no indoor pool for the kids.

Ashland is a beautiful town and the views from the Hotel are great. A really nice peaceful stop while traveling. They serve a complimentary hot breakfast to help you get going in the morning. Kitchen and jacuzzi suites are available. Rooms upstairs have high vaulted ceilings.

Good value in a convenient and well-maintained motel. Less expensive than downtown Ashland lodging, while comparable in comfort and amenities. Somewhat less convenient to festival and shopping, but worth it on balance.

This is the nicest BW I have visited. Top end in every way, and really nice staff. I look forward to staying here again. There's also a great brewpub just down the street! The location is convenient (next to I-5).

We brought our Granddaughter to her home in Ashland and brought a friend along. Two rooms were reserved, one with a King bed and the second with 2 Queens. We were warmly welcomed by Joe who kindly remembered my name from previous visits. It was a great gesture and Joe is delightfully engaging. We gave our friend the King bedroom. She was so surprised and delighted by the huge room with a separate seating area, as well as a huge side bar/counter including refrigerator and a microwave. Studying the layout, there seem to be two of these gems at each end of the building. Our rooms was perfect for our needs, as always, with great beds and quiet surroundings. But, we will ask for one of the end rooms should we plan to stay for a longer time.

Needed a place to stay on a road trip. Room was clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was okay, although eggs were possibly faux. Nearby Caldera's restaurant serves a great dinner.

We have stayed at this Best Western a couple of times while visiting Ashland. They have a shuttle that takes you to and from the Shakespeare Festival so you don't have to worry about parking. If you decide to drive it is a short trip to downtown Ashland. Rooms are clean and spacious and the beds are comfy all at a really good value. We will defiantly stay here again.

The two front desk clerks we encountered were the friendliest I've ever met. No complaints at all. We've stayed in four different hotels in Ashland, and we will be staying at the Best Western Windsor from now on.

the Windsor is very inviting and easy access from I6. We will be back .due to cold weather we did not access the pool. Breakfast is the best we have experienced at any Best Wester. so far, Take time to register with Best Western Rewards to take advantage of all the discounts and rewards.

We had great service and comfy room. We were driving all day and just passing thru and very pleased. Beds were comfy, super room/suite. Staff very pleasant. Will stop by again sometime. Probably next week as we need to make another trip up to Oregon.

Simply put, everything from the staff to the amenities is top notch! I can't think of ANYTHING negative to say about this place. To give you an idea, they give you a gift back before they issue you keys. I can't think of any place that actually does this sort of thing. They really do go the extra mile and it shows. Oh what a beautiful room, the bed was so comfy we did not want to leave. Do not past this Best Western Windsor Inn up!!! Being seniors, it was easy access from I5, we were able to park with no difficulty. The front staff directed us right to our room and suggested a great restaurant within walking distance. Our breakfast was fresh, coffee was hot and we will be back the next time we travel!!

Very nice hotel room and facility. Breakfast was pretty good: love the pancake maker and the waffle maker. Mom had a little problem with the beds being to high, she's 94 years old and only 4'8" so it was difficult to bounce up. Need a rubber floor mat for the shower which was not available.

Our stay was like being at home, but the staff did all the work. Love this location in the Best Western Family. To anyone traveling on HWY 5 and needs a room call them. This location has it ALL. Easy to find right off highway. My wife ask a staff person for a good place to eat. he ask our likes and he suggested a Mexican restaurant and it as very good.

We are in the middle of a road trip. this motel is by far the finest we have stayed at to date. Clean, quiet rooms. Double sinks and all the amenities one would hope for in a mid-priced stay. Staff was great. Shuttle available to restaurants and Ashland shows. We'll be back

If you book with a dog they put you on the ground floor. The biggest problem with this is the place is a motel setting so it's like you're in the parking lot. Therefore there were cars pulling in and out until about 1:00am and starting again at 6:00am and my dog reacted to each one. I appreciate hotels that take dogs, but the setup of this one is not ideal.

This is one of the nicest, most comfortable Best Westerns I have stayed in. They even had a shuttle that dropped us off and picked us up after the play we went to at the Shakespeare theatre in Ashland. A big bonus.

Loved all the flowers on the property. It was so quiet there even though it was fully booked Breakfast staff were very helpful , and were right on it replenishing the food. Would have loved to stay another night

The rooms are comfortable and clean, the staff is helpful and kind and the area is picturesque. Very good internet connection for work and leisure, direct TV, pool and a large fitness room. This is one of the nicest Best Western hotels that I have stayed at- the staff was great.

The Best Western Windsor in Ashland Oregon is close to downtown, convenient to the I-5, and offers excellent accommodations at a very reasonable rate; extremely clean, well appointed rooms and friendly and helpful staff make the whole experience something to look forward to.

My husband and I have stayed at the Windsor several times before and we have always been very satisfied, but this stay was different and especially wonderful. First of all, we were delayed getting into town and Joe, the guest receptionist, called to check in on us and to learn our estimated arrival time, which I found very thoughtful. When we eventually arrived in town Joe was there to greet us. He was so welcoming and pleasant, and we were really impressed with his guest service skills and attitude. He informed me that because I am a Best Western Rewards member they had upgraded our room and then told me if we needed anything at all to not hesitate to call. My husband and I were stunned when we entered our spacious room. What an upgrade! It was one of the best rooms I have every stayed in in my hotel-staying history. Right near the front office, complete with kitchenette, living area, and king-size bed, which was so comfortable. Our stay was short, but so terrific and memorable. The breakfast buffet was terrific, as usual, and Thomas, who checked us out, was equally great. We love Ashland and we love the Windsor. The guest service is always top-notch, we feel like we are special when we stay there, and we have never been disappointed. We highly recommend it.

Our first trip to Ashland for the Shakespeare Festival and we feel we were lucky to find the Windsor Inn. Location just off the interstate but also near downtown area. Room was quiet and comfortable. Free breakfast was above usual hotel fare. Would definitely stay again.

First off, don't try to get a hotel in the Ashland area in the summer - it's Shakespeare Festival time. We did, however, score a last minute room at the Beat Western. The location is good - not great - but there is easy access to downtown and ample parking. Just off the highway, it shouldn't be confused with the other Best Western in Ashland. Once you find it, however, the staff are super nice and very easy to work with. All and all - the general tone of the place is pleasant. A couple of things to note: It is not high end or luxurious. Its more or less a motel. It's comfortable and clean and provides a decent nights sleep. Another thing to consider - They offer a breakfast that's great for the kids, but best skipped for a much better coffee and scone at a nearby coffee joint. Is it the best pace to stay in Ashland? No, but it's clean, comfortable and the staff are great. And, if you can get a non-peak season room rate - it's a good value. We will definitely stay here again. The staff are just great.

The Best Western Windsor Inn is in a marvelous location to attend the Oregon Shakespeare Festival! Comfy beds in generously sized rooms allow for a restful night's sleep, and the complimentary breakfast guests wake up to is a dream come true! All for an incredibly reasonable nightly rate! There is also a free shuttle to/from the theaters in downtown Ashland. I have stayed here multiple times over the years and the property never fail to impress me with its cleanliness, attentive service, and great location.

Great value on this hotel. I stay at a lot of different Best Westerns and this is by far one of the best kept ones. Nice size rooms in a great location- five minutes from downtown. Kind of feels like you are at a high end lodge with great views of the mountains in front of the hotel.

We stsyed here & have absolutely NO complaints. The room was very clean, well appointed, quiet & beds heavenly. We wished qe could have stayed more than one night. The breakfast was good & an attendant was onsite cleaning & filling as needed. The staff was great also. No complaints here!

When we travel near Ashland, Oregon, we always try to fit in a stay at this quality hotel. Quality in every way. They greet you with enthusiasm. Never had a bad experience and will place them at the top of one of our favorite hotels to spend the night.

Great Room very good breakfast and the attendants do a great job at keeping everything stocked. Very nice rooms and good amenities. Comfortable beds, reliable internet. Location makes it very easy to find and perfect for people traveling. First time staying here instead of Yreka CA. Great choice!

The staff are so helpful and kind. The place is immaculate and highly enjoyable. I loved the amenities and so many pillows! I stayed here three nights consecutively but in three different rooms and they were all awesome. The jaccuzi is nice and hot.

Very nice gardens - lovely roses. Room was large, clean, and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent. Hotel employees were extremely helpful. Restaurant is open until 11 PM, which is quite unusual, even in much larger cities than Ashland.

A three night stay in a one bedroom suite with kitchenette. Ashland is famous for its Shakespeare festival. The hotel provides a complementary shuttle service to the festival, as Ashland has major parking issues. That alone makes the Windsor a great choice. But wait, there's more! Our room, #231 was spacious and well appointed. The kitchenette was a real bonus. The bed was first class. The highlight, and I hope that the hotel manager reads this, was the service provided by Chloe at the front desk. She went way beyond to be helpful and made our stay there enjoyable from the start.

I've never stayed at a Best Western but gave it a shot based on TripAdvisor reviews. Friendly staff. The A/C unit was really loud and made it hard to sleep despite the comfortable bed. The pool was smaller than I expected based on photos I saw online. The exercise room was wasted potential. Plenty of room for a few more / modern cardio machines and it would be really good. Kids seemed amused by the pancake machine at the breakfast. Okay food. They had the exact same weak toasters I encountered in a hotel in Florida where it takes forever to make toast. Nice fluffy cat roams the parking lot outside the breakfast room.

The hotel and staff are great! Breakfast, pool and laundry facilities are excellent additions. I do wish the hotel were a bit closer to downtown Ashland - it would be nice to be able to walk to the center. Although, there IS a shuttle convenient for theater times.

Great Breakfast! Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was clean and tastefully decorated. Very comfortable. We would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling in southern Oregon. The breakfast burrito was a pleasant surprise from the normal breakfast fare.

I stayed one night here and the staff was very helpful and cheerful, room very comfortable and breakfast offerings perfect.The staff was very knowledgeable of restaurants and gave me directions and a marked map, just to be sure. I would stay again when in Ashland.

We stayed for two nights and had two rooms next to each other. It was quite and relaxing. We walked across the street to get excellent espresso from the truck . Breakfast is more than sufficient. We went to downtown Ashland which is a 10 minute ride and found plenty of parking. I would stay here again for the price, quiet and closeness to downtown.

Joe at the front desk checked me in. He was extremely friendly and helpful. The room was very nice and clean. The bed was comfortable and the breakfast had great selections. We will be back when we come to Ashland.

Large rooms, great breakfast, lovely grounds. Very nice staff and helpful. Nice pool area . We only stayed 1 nigh and will stay again. It is 800 feet from the highway and is easy on and off. they have a shuttle to town .

We stayed for 3 nights while attending plays at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival. The room was well appointed with plenty of pillows and towels and the A/C was working well which was good as the day was over 100 degrees. At checkin they asked if we were seeing a play that night, which we were and they put us on the appropriate shuttle schedule for departure and pickup after the play we were seeing. Loved the shuttle. We were able to leave the car parked all weekend and explore the area around OSF on foot before and after plays. The included breakfast was very good with each day bring a different meat ( bacon, sausage, turkey bacon) and side ( breakfast burritos, biscuits + gravy, chessy egg/ham casserole) in addition to scrambled eggs and breakfast potatoes. Then all the usual fare such as cereal, oatmeal, toasts/muffins/bagels, AND waffles AND pancakes, yogurt, fruit. Quite a spread with plenty of variety and the staff were johhny on the spot when anything ran out, refilling immediately. I was very impressed. The pool area and the pool + spa were clean and inviting so we spent some time there as well, and the beds were ever so comfortable with clean smooth sheets. Being removed from the center of town, it was fairly quiet at night as well. We will definitely make this our hotel to stay in future when visiting Ashland for OSF.

This property has easy access from and to I 5. However it is not conveniently located for all the activities in the center of town which for an older couple is inconvenient . For a family it would be a good experience to stay there.

The Windsor Inn, offered a very comfortable stay. Rooms were generous in size, clean and very comfortable. Breakfast service provided an abundance from which to choose and the staff was very accommodating. Rooms on the upper floor are quiet as they avoid the traffic noise from people leaving from the motel.

Was very clean and fairly priced. The room was big, and had a fridge/freezer combo, toaster, and plenty of counter space. The bedroom was separate from the living area which is nice too. The door opens to the outside, like a motel, which was a downfall in my opinion. The fitness center was pretty weak, too. They have a big space for it - I had wished there was more free weights, a yoga mat, some kettlebells - - stuff like that. Overall, it was a great stay for business travel.

Third trip in last five years to Ashland for Shakespeare festival. Always stay at the Windsor Inn and always perfect. Highlight was meeting Glenn of BW Windsor Inn. If he is ever in need of a permanent home please contact us!

Stayed here on our way north for the 2017 eclipse. We have stayed here previously and we're mostly satisfied with the accommodations. On this trip we stayed in a different room - near the pool - and came away disappointed. The room was tired and dated, and needs new carpet. My wife insisted on wearing shoes in the room, didn't want bare feet touching what appeared to be a dirty carpet - which was most likely stains that won't wash out. The TV remote was sans batteries and the shower was akin to a motel 6. On the plus side, the complementary breakfast was very good - nice selection of hot foods, cerials, coffee, juices, fresh fruit, and pleasant staff. It's a very convenient location, just off the freeway, next to 3 gas stations and several restaurants. But sadly the cons outweigh the pros and we won't be staying there again.

The staff were super nice and the room was clean and spacious. We were upgraded to a suite, which was located close to the parking and included a refrigerator, microwave and sink as well as a sitting area. The room was clean, comfortable and quiet. My husband and I and our Golden Retriever had a very pleasant experience here.

I have styed there before and always like it . The rooms are clean, I laugh at the "Bunny Ear" pillows on the bed when I walk in. Staff Is helpful and friendly. Parking seems to becoming an issue. Friendly transportation to the theaters downtown and back.
