Excellent roadside hotel. Clean, friendly, good enough free breakfast, coffee all day. Fitness center. Had everything we needed. 10 minutes to Mt. Vernon

The rooms are always fresh and clean, the beds are fluffy, bathroom is always neat and clean. Great breakfast also. Customer service is always great with them. Stacy always makes sure all needs are met and I have a great stay there! The only hotel I stay when visiting Virginia.

My husband was in a nearby Rehabilitation Hospital, the BW met my needs and more. The staff, especially Stacey at the front desk were accommodating and friendly. Stayed twice with a break in between. Room was perfect, breakfast had plenty of variety. Thank you!

This is a reliable location. Great staff provided us with a great service, inexpensive and clean rooms. Being nearby a main highway this place is not so bad if you're an out of towner. Complimentary Breakfast and guest parking available on site.

Great hotel! Very clean, staff is extremely nice, room was perfect and air worked great! For the price, this hotel is a no brainer. Location is very close to George Washington's Mt Vernon. They offer a full buffet breakfast that was great. Location was ideal.

We had a comfy bed, with lots of pillows! There was plenty of light available, which doesn't always happen. The breakfast couldn't be beat; almost like a restaurant! I loved the coffee machine, which provided decaf choices 24/7. Staff was all smiles, all the time.

I would like to thank Stacy at the reception desk for being so helpful with detailed directions for getting around in DC, including a map with Post-it note, and advice on where to buy last-minute supplies nearby. The Peruvian barbecue chicken restaurant next door is delicious, different and inexpensive.

My husband and I stayed there for 3 nights and we had an AMAZING experience. Stacey at the front desk and Abhi were exceptional. They were very professional and made sure we had an amazing stay. The breakfast was pretty good and our room was clean and cozy. Very short drive to Washington DC (about 25 minutes). We'll come back !!!!

The hotel itself is a little worn but our room was clean and the staff were pleasant. Also convenient to Mt. Vernon which was the reason for our trip. Bed was comfortable, internet fast. Price was very competitive clean and updated lobby and rooms. Comfy bed. Quiet. Great breakfast options

Over all was a clean hotel. They were able to oblige my request for early check in for a $25.00 fee. The bed was comfortable the only complaint would be the shower the water pressure was poor and it took a long time to rinse my conditioner from my hair.

Staff makes the experience. Called to book and Stacy was the best. He booked our room and was so personable. He greeted us at check in with a warm welcome. The next morning he wished us a safe trip. I always stay here when in the area. It is clean the host is very friendly and professional and has everything o need for a successful stay good sleep and good breakfast as well. I love how they have gourmet coffee in the lobby 24/7 tea and hot chocolate

The staff was the best. Stacy was a delight and pleasure to meet. The breakfast was outstanding. We plan on making this out go to place to stay whenever we are in town which is often. Even with our late check-in we were very pleased.

We were late arriving, and the young gentleman was quite helpful. We purposefully avoided DC. We were looking for clean, and economy. We do not need the extras. The parking was free. It was about 10 minutes off of the I and worth every minute of it. Hotel was clean, quiet. We loved it. Breakfast was amazing. Large space with many options. We cannot say enough great about this place. We would definitely recommend and return.

We use a laptop and the internet connection disconnected every 2 minutes. My husband spoke to the night manager who was quite rude, didn't want to hear about any issues, offered no help and said it was his laptop. In the morning my husband took his laptop to the day manager to show them what was happening so they would know there was a problem. He, like the night manager was beyond rude, didn't want to hear it, offered no help. We travel a lot and our laptop is new this year and has worked at every hotel we've stayed in before and after this stay. The problem was not the laptop. Neither manager was civil in the least and actually made me quite uncomfortable. We simply tried to inform them there was an internet issue. Also, the breakfast is served in the basement, no windows, and the food was more like a simple Best Western, not a BW Plus. I would not recommend this establishment to anyone.

I stayed here for 3 nights while exploring the area. My room was clean and quiet. The bed was comfortable. I only had breakfast 1 of the 3 mornings that I stayed here. It was fine, but with my schedule, it was better to eat away from the hotel. Check in was fantastic!! Check out was fine. I had the pleasure of meeting Stacy at check in. Stacy remembered my name and used it everytime I entered the hotel and saw him. He remembered my itinerary and what I was doing each day. He would ask in the evening how my day was and was I able to visit everywhere I had planned. On my last night at the hotel, there was a huge storm in the area. Stacy was very caring with all of the hotel guests and made sure everyone was OK with all of the wind, pouring rain, and thunder and lightning!! Stacy most definitely deserves "Employee of the Century". I wish all hotels had an employee like Stacy!! I would absolutely stay here again!

I had to book 2 rooms last minute and the man at the front was very nice. The rooms were clean and one of the rooms had an issue with the A/C but he helped out and we were able to sleep until the a/c stopped cooling in the morning. They need to check out the A/C systems but other than that, our stay was great. I would stay here again.

The hotels rooms were remodeled and nice but we had the worst mattress I have ever slept on. The air conditioner has very loud also and kept kicking on and off. The breakfast was terrible too. The coffee was from a machine and was awful. I'm not sure we will stay here again.

Was located close to the attraction we were at but is a very commercial area and busy road. The room was comfortable. Bathroom floor could have been cleaned better. The bathroom door was sticking, hard to close and open and the doorknob was loose. The closet door was also a DIY rig job. The breakfast area was in the basement. It was a good sized room, clean, with a good amount of choices but not all were the greatest quality. Here's the bottom line. For what we paid for a Friday night, it was worth that money. It is not a Best Western Plus level hotel if that is what you are used to. They do put a $100 incidental charge on your card when you check in. I have had that at other places. The problem I have with that is, when checking out, I was told the money would be back on my card within 3-5 business days. That is BS. You verified I didn't charge anything through my room so refund the money upon checkout.

The room was clean, I was very pleased. The Bed was so comfortable!!! The shower was heavenly. I had a fast check in and out. Parking was available and free. Complimentary breakfast was also a plus. Very pleased over all

I highly recommend this hotel. The staff is WONDERFUL. It has many amenities and is close to public transportation, restaurants and shopping. I have already recommended it to several friends. If I'm in the area again, I will be staying here.

The manager at checkin is very strict and mechanical. This hotel authorizes a $100 incidental hold. If you use a debit card it can hold that extra $100 our of your account for 7-10 business days. He did cut us a break this time but said if we came back he would authorize the extra $100. Due to this we cant come back even though we like this hotel

The best hotel ever, the employees make sure that you are having a good stay from front desk to housekeeping. The breakfast above any great restaurants. Every time I go to virginia it's the only place I stay, You feels like home. Thank you

The staff here was welcoming and very attentive. The gentleman who checked us in was wonderful! Our room was very clean, the beds comfortable, and everything was in working order. The breakfast was delicious! It would've been nice to have more fresh fruit options and also some pancakes. The location is great - not too far from DC and the Mall and Old Town Alexandria. We wanted to get away during the Christmas holidays season. We have stayed at this Best Western Plus many times & have never been disappointed. It is located in a historic area. It was easy for us to visit Mt. Vernon, some Civil war battle fields. It was easy for us to visit Arlington National Cemetery and Alexandria. The staff were always accommodating. Breakfast is fine. The staff keeps the breakfast room clean Housekeeping are very hard working. Our room was immaculate. Computers in the lobby were helpful. The 24 hr coffee machine was complimentary and had wonderful selections. We have stayed in this hotel many times & will stay again.

We were meeting friends for a 4 day trip to Washington DC and picked this hotel because of all the good reviews it received. Everything in the reviews was accurate. The rate was reasonable for our 4 nights, close to everything we wanted to see, and very comfortable. Shout out to Stacey, the front desk supervisor. He is awesome! He gave us great information as we planned out each day while sitting in the lobby each night. From suggestions on where to go, how to get there, where to eat, he was a big part of our daily outings. We looked forward to seeing him when we got back to the hotel to tell him about our day, he seemed truly interested. The breakfast was included in the price and had a good selection of hot food along with the basic pastries and fruit. Really good coffee machine as well, both in the breakfast room and by the lobby. The room was clean, the bed comfortable, and the wifi worked good. Will definitely stay here again on future trips to the area.

Easy check in, the hotel staff are very friendly, clean nice rooms, breakfast was delicious and out on time everyday. The beds were comfy and the pillows were super fluffy, anything we needed was delivered promptly to our room, and the front desk staff was very knowledgeable of the area for dining and sight seeing!

The front desk explained everything about my stay. Where everything was located and the 24/7 coffee machine. I liked that they had a refrigerator and a microwave oven in the room. It was in a great location, easy to find. Close to Mt Vernon. Close to shops.

This location was convenient and comfortable for a 7 night stay in order to attend a local high school reunion, visit friends, and sightsee. All the staff were welcoming, friendly, and helpful. We especially appreciated the help and local knowledge of desk staff member Stacy!

Stacey checked me in and he was wonderful. Very good breakfast - scrambled eggs were done just right! I went back for seconds. Quiet, clean. The bathroom set-up was odd. The door had to be partially closed to get to the sink. I would definitely stay here again.

The place was at best okay. The room was fairly clean. But the noise was terrible, I could barely sleep. It took me forever to fall asleep. The Air conditioner was super loud and it needed to be on since it was so hot. Also I did not realize how much traffic noise there would be. The breakfast was not very good, they did not even have any orange juice or bananas. I am being generous with giving it 4 stars

Overall the service and the attitude of the personnel were outstanding. From staying 30-40 minutes longer to explain the metro system to offering great tips about what areas to visit/ avoid. The trip was a great success with a good portion of credit for that going to the best Western.

We planned a visit to Williamsburg, Virginia. Since the trip would be more than 8 hrs of driving from New Jersey. We decided to stay overnight at the Mt. Vernon Best Western Plus. Great choice. Our check in was easy. Our King Room was immaculate. Housekeeping did an excellent job. The breakfast in the morning was hot & tasty. The breakfast room was wonderful. You could socially distance. The staff in the breakfast room kept it clean and neat. You can make your own waffles and pancakes. Eggs, bacon , biscuits/gravy were good. Good value. Staff was friendly and helpful.

I was visiting my boyfriend I stayed here for 4 nights and everybody was so nice to me. The cleaning staff was super helpful at giving me directions and information about restaurants and places to see. On My last day. This lovely gentleman checked me out and we had a nice conversation :) until my Uber got there to pick me up. Will definitely be staying here again.

We stayed at this property for two nights while touring the historic eastern part of U.S. Staff was friendly and helpful, room was clean, beds were comfortable, and breakfast had a very nice selection of both hot and cold items. Highly recommend this property.

I chose this hotel because of its location, close to Fort Belvoir and the National Museum of the US Army where I had a summer job. I stayed there at this Best Western the whole time, except for weekends! As everyone got to know me I felt more and more secure and welcomed. There are a lot of restaurants and fast food near the hotel so I could eat without a car. The rooms were big, and once I got a room with a kitchen and a refrigerator. The hot breakfasts are pretty good too! They were flexible about holding my luggage. Overall I am extremely grateful to the manager Stacey and all the staff.

I was very satisfied with staying at this hotel. Staff was always very nice, breakfast was great, and the room was comfortable and clean. Only had minor issues with cleanliness and wifi, but overall would still greatly recommend staying here to anyone.

This location was very clean and quiet! My husband and I loved the updated room. Breakfast was good. The front desk workers were great and very welcoming! We appreciated that greatly. If you are looking for somewhere to stay near the city this is a great spot close to Safeway grocery store as well and planet fitness.

Unknowlingly and oddly clerk tried to catch my attention behind his window as I was waiting to check in behind a lady still at window. Then when I went to my room I instantly smelled a urine like smell. I asked the clerk for a different room which he provided.

Friendly staff, very clean hotel. Breakfast is good to get you energized to begin your day and it's easy access to restaurants and major stores in the area. Having kids traveling with me we were hoping the hotel had a pool.

I would not stay again. The room smelled of smoke (says it's a non-smoking hotel). The hallway carpets were dirty with litter that wasn't cleaned for over 2 days, as was elevator litter. Doors slammed and shook the room, most of the days and nights. Careful sitting on the office chair in the room; guests may end up on their backsides. Breakfast was in the basement (down elevator and left to warning sign) and included a full breakfast (juices, coffees, teas, cereals, muffins, waffles, pancakes, yogurt, breads, bagels, scrambled eggs and breakfast sausages) in larger eating area = good breakfast. Front desk staff were very accommodating and helpful. The hotel was close to George Washington's Mount Vernon, but their lobby had no information about the historic site. Good Internet, TV, lighting, plugs for electronics. Only one restaurant appeared to be walking distance and only a soda machine in the hotel; no newspaper. Microwave, refrigerator in room. If being a PLUS member and spending $100.+ with almost non-stop slamming doors is ok, this could be the right place.

We explore different places and drive alot. We stayed at a Best Western Plus and year ago and now try to find one wherever we go. We know what to expect. Mostly always great service. Our friends agree with us too!

We visited Mount Vernon and had a short easy drive to the airport (DCA). The breakfast was hot and good with a nice variety of choices. It was the end of a long vacation with a dozen hotels, and it was nice to get a great nights sleep before flying home.

This hotel was an excellent value for the money. I searched for awhile to figure out where to stay for this trip. We were splitting our time between Washington DC and Quantico and wanted to see Mt. vernon. This hotel is right next to MT Vernon and was the perfect middle ground if you are going to be renting a car. We drove to downtown Alexandria every night for dinner as it was only about a 20 minute drive. We also parked at the Old Town metro station and took that into DC for the day. Also, only 30 ish minutes from Quantico. The hotel was super clean, staff was very friendly, and the breakfast was awesome! This is one of the main reasons we booked this hotel was for the free continental breakfast. This was a huge spread. They had hot breakfast (sausage vs bacon alternating, scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy, potatos), cold breakfast (cereal, yogurt, fruit) a waffle AND a pancake maker, muffins, toast, etc A juice machine with 4 different juices, a coffee machine that made everything including hot chocolate. The dining area was spacious and clean. We were thoroughly impressed by this breakfast spread. Our hotel 4 night stay cost around $525 which is pretty amazing. We will definitely be staying here if we are ever back in the area.

The service from the staff, especially the man on 2nd shift was stellar. The property was clean, and overall this is the best Best Western location we have stayed at. Only issue was the bed was way too firm.

We were visiting Washington DC and found this hotel on the outskirts of the town. We preferred not to pay high prices to stay in the city. This was the perfect spot. We had about a 15 minute drive to the metro and paid 4.95 to park at the metro. We used this as our transportation everyday into the city. It worked like a charm and the hotel was close enough to just drive to the metro with no traffic. Hotel breakfast was great. We ate there everyday. There are several fast food places near by if you need food on the way back at night like us :) Hotel was clean and staff was super friendly. Parking at the hotel was also free and there was ample parking! So no worries when you come in late from your day of adventures, you'll always have a spot to park! I'd recommend and stay here again if I were ever back in the area.

booked 2 nights for our visit to Mount Vernon based on reviews. The only positive was the staff: friendly and helpful. Room was shabby and not clean, ceiling water stained and rusted, bathroom floor dirty and sticky, breakfast served in basement and poor (we chose to go elsewhere and pay for breakfast). Beds lumpy and uncomfortable.

Hotel was nice. Staff was friendly and helpful at check in. Upon request staff was willing to offer multiple suggestions for dinner. The suggestions worked out well as they were close served great food. Breakfast had a good variety to select from and was appropriately staffed. Hotel is very close to Mount Vernon and a short drive to DC. The location worked out well as we were in between both locations.

Checked in with Stanley. He was outstanding. Recommended a wonderful restaurant to have dinner and helped us plan our next day's excursions. Great knowledge of the area. Much thanks to Stanley for making our stay memorable!!

I have been in many BW hotels and this one is by far one of the best. I was not expected anything at the reservation but it has definitely exceeded my expectations, a nice surprise. The hotel and the room was very clean (probably renovated). Staff was extremely nice. The breakfast was perfect, great choice, very clean large area. I have been disappointed by many BW hotels but this one is excellent, keep up the good work!

A very comfortable stay, and a great breakfast. We welcome part of our drive from Florida to home in Canada. It's a great layover stop, but also convenient for site seeing in the DC area. I recommend this BW for either purpose.

We didn't expect much, but the average hotel. The staff, Stacey in particular, were just great. He explained everything about the hotel and was quite willing to give info on nearby stores and restaurants. The fitness room was clean and all equipment worked. Very quiet and wifi worked. Would definitely stay again. The fridge was bigger than a little dorm fridge and the microwave worked.

Our stay here was comfortable and well priced. What stands out, however, is how nice the staff are! Each one we met was pleasant and helpful. The Breakfast was outstanding - lots of hot, delicious protein to start the day.

I have spent some time in hotels, and although this one doesn't have a pool, there's a gentleman named Stacey who checked us in, he made our stay even better than it was. Breakfast was awesome, the staff was awesome, and if you do go there and have the pleasure of speaking to Stacey, tell him that the couple on their honeymoon were upset that we missed our chance to thank him personally. He truly did treat us like a member of the family.

The front desk clerk shined with us right at check-in and throughout our stay with great customer service and friendliness. The bathroom and room updates were very modern and clean. The warm breakfast had many options and made our kids happy. Everything worked well and we would come back again. Only downfall is the turn into the hotel building from the road is a bit tricky and dangerous.

We always enjoy our stays at Best Western Mt. Vernon. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the rooms are comfortable and clean. Stacy is always welcoming, polite and helpful. My husband walks with a cane and Stacy will always accommodate him with first floor rooms if possible, and is always professional.

Nice basic hotel. Clean quiet rooms back from the highway and good breakfast. Staff was friendly and helpful. Only issue was that guests can only use the front entrance and most of the parking is on the side or in the back. Would stay here again.

Check in was quick, I received the room location requested, breakfast good. Bathroom sink drain was closed with no means to open it. Had to pry it open. Long time for hot water to arrive. Could have been hotter.

This was a first rate hotel and our experience was excellent. This Best Western was as good as any Hampton or Holiday Inn Express. If we return to this area we will definitely stay at this property. The location put us within range of every site we planned to visit in Arlington, Alexandria and Washington, D.C. It was outside the range of the high priced Washington, D.C., hotels and also just outside the range of the high-priced Biden-Gas stations (a mile to the north the price of gas increased by 20 cents a gallon). All in all, it was a bargain in many ways and was as good as any Hampton or Holliday Inn Express we've stayed at lately.

We have been staying at some Best Westerns and some Best Western Plus hotels lately. We have been pleasantly surprised to get such service and amenities at these prices. This hotel is great. We expected to pay more because of its location close to Mount Vernon; price was reasonable and we were able to use a gift card that we had earned at other BW locations. The rooms were clean, the beds comfortable, the staff friendly and helpful and the breakfast buffet plentiful and diverse. They take safety seriously here. Quite a pleasant and restful stay.

Hotel isl in a good safe location. Love the walk in shower.don't have to worry about slipping getting out over a tub. Breakfast descent, coffee has good choices and was hot. Plenty of tables so you could be separated. Which they had orange juice in their machine..

A couple of friends and I stayed here recently. Check-in was quick. Hotel was clean. Our door latch was a bit loose and there were a few items around the hotel that could use a little sprucing up. It is located on the busy Richmond Highway but it was quiet in our room. The beds were comfortable. Bathroom just had a shower but good size. Breakfast was excellent - a lot of choices including scrambled eggs, sausage, pancakes and waffles. Free coffee 24 hours in the hall. Could not beat the price for being so close to Mount Vernon.

I was pleasantly surprised to see that the rooms were more modern. Some BW that I have stayed in usually have that old musty stained couch but this one did not. The Front Desk Manager, Stacey, was absolutely perfect! This loc will probably now be my go to loc.

I would absolutely stay here again. The king bed was very comfy, the room was climate controlled (ac and heat) and very comfortable. There was a mini fridge, microwave, and coffee maker for convenience. This hotel is well worth your money and an excellent value. With breakfast included!!

I stayed for 2 nights, the room was very clean and customer service at the desk was welcoming. Also they had the best price that day compared to the other Hotel. I will recommend anyone this Hotel because of the price, the cleanliness and the costumer professionalism.

Somehow this hotel offers low rates, top service and a full breakfast. The Check-in was awesome, manager found a discount for one of our destinations when we mentioned where we were going. Have not had a better breakfast in a long time.

Newly built Best Western with an attractive lobby, freshly decorated rooms and good all around service. The Front Desk personnel were excellent - very personable and helpful, particularly Stacy. 24 coffee machine with very good coffee. Nice rooms, Internet was strong. Breakfast was outstanding with good variety, quality and fresh offering. Capuccino from the coffee machine was outstanding. Make your own waffles or pancakes was a good touch.

Had a wonderful stay as always. Stay here when visiting family. Great breakfast.. Did not dissapoint. Will continue to stay at this Hotel when we visit. All the staff is very kind. Will be back during Thanksgiving weeks.Love the shower.

Rate went up at place we usually stay for Auto Train so booked here, only 6 miles from train. Was a little hesitant but as soon as we arrived could see lobby and all hallways and rooms were contemporary and clean. Very nice reception area with Covid protocols in place. Registered by Shantrell who was very pleasant and room a very good size with modern bathroom and excellent selection of TV channels. Continental breakfast was good and lobby had coffee 24/7 convenient to some food and local restaurants that delivery to hotel. Trip to auto train by car about 15 minutes and very direct. Excellent buy for the price.

The staff — especially Stacey — do that little bit extra for you here. So friendly and informative. Hotel was just up the street from Washington's Estate so it's conveniently located. The bed could be a little more plush, but I still got a good night's rest. The room was very big and the shower was HUGE.

Our stay at Best Western was truly a wonderful experience, mostly because of the amazing staff. From check-in, they were very friendly and welcoming. They shared the best way to travel and different places to see in the area. Thru our stay, we were given excellent advice on restaurants and enjoyed their own breakfast each morning. The food was very delicious offering a wide variety. The breakfast attendants maintain the dining area very well. With limited staff, we were impress with the up keep and cleanness of the motel. Hats off to 1rst and 2nd shift team! We want to thank them all for making our stay so amazing and comfortable!

Our stay at this Best Western was very pleasant. Property is clean and attendants were pleasant and helpful. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was very adequate and well prepared--better than most hotels of this type. The only complaint I have is minor--there was no bar in the shower to grasp. I'm 83 years old and felt a little insecure in the shower. It's a great place to stay and I recommend it.

We had an awesome trip to DC. The rooms were very clean. The check in/out process was quick, safe and simple. Numerous breakfast options. The staff was attentive. Easily located near major highways. Near a lot of restaurant choices. Simple Covid protocols.

Great staff, especially given unusual pandemic restrictions. Very helpful with extra towels, toilet paper, room coffee, closet hangers and Internet was stable, fast and reliable. In room safe, iron and iron board were welcome addition. Gym was closed and breakfast were bagged because of pandemic. Good coffee machine in lobby. I do wish the bathroom was vented for odor and steam from shower.

room was clean, check in was good. heating unit was a issue but manageable. it seem that it took a long time for the water in the shower to heat up. they did offer to switch rooms, but was tired and wanted to rest.

Stayed here because of the proximity to Mt. Vernon. It was about $20 cheaper than the previous hotel we checked. The clerks at the front desk were very friendly. The one who handled our check-in would call me by name each time he saw us and make sure we had everything we needed for a pleasant stay. The room was clean. We loved the glass door on the shower...no curtain clinging to your skin as you showered. Great place to stay; near to Mt. Vernon and not far from DC. Would stay here again if we're in the area.

Stay greeted us promptly as soon as we walked in, and check on us when ever we entered or exited the building. Shower is very nice, with sliding door. Bed was spacious and comfy, definitely give a look

The staff is amazing the room was extremely clean whenever I'm in the area I will be staying at the Best Western near ft Belvoir . I stayed on the first floor it was very quiet it allowed me to take care a lot of my business on my cell phone. Again thank you so much to the staff.

Stacy and the rest of the staff do all they can to make your time there a comfortable one. They are very helpful with great local dinner recommendations from Peruvian chicken to Nepali dumplings. The rooms are clean and the water is hot. I'd make it a habit to stay there.

It looked like this hotel was in the process of being remodeled, Newer flooring and paint, plastic still in carpeting. But was very nice. Room was clean and comfortable and complimentary breakfast offered many choices (including a make your own pancake/waffle station). Would stay at again.

The Best Western Alexandria/Mt. Vernon, VA was newly renovated, the staff was friendly and helpful, breakfast was good with plenty of variety. I would stay here again and recommend it. The price of the hotel was great too.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for a wedding in Old Town Alexandria. I was a little nervous since it was a bit outside of town, but it turned out to be a quick easy drive to Old Town as well as DC and more. Stacy, the front desk agent, was so kind, attentive, and truly made us feel like VIP! He even called up to our room after checking in to make sure everything was to our liking. We'll definitely be back!

Being away on business for an extended period of time BW was my home away from home the majority of my stay here in town. Stacy, Maritsa and Shani were absolutely phenomenal, polite and resourceful. However on the other hand the cleaning staff needs to be replaced to say the least, several times during my stay my rug wasn't vacuumed, or the bathroom was not cleaned properly and the channel on my TV was changed.

I have an employee staying at the FT. Belvoir Best Western, who is very satisfy with her accommodations and often boast about the staff and I totally agree. Each time I have called the front desk to make payment arrangements, employee Stacy gives me the best service. Stacy is always professional, friendly and very knowledgeable. I feel like I have known Stacy for years, although we have never met. Thanks Stacy for providing exceptional customer service and making the process easier. .

Not happy with the housekeeping staff they dont vacuum, they dont clean toilets they go into a room and change channels on tv to what they want to see and the breakfast had potatoese everyday no onions no peppers omg just fried potatoes ... however on the other hand most of the front desk staff was off the chain professional, kind, friendly and professional. Last but never the least my sheets and towels smh .... enough said

This is a great hotel. The staff is great as they make sure you have everything you need and that you're comfortable, the rooms are spectacularly clean and the hotel is located to several shopping centers.

The people that worked the front desk where extremely helpful and kind when I tried to connect my computer to their WiFi and when I needed things like tp or towels. One problem the tp roll holder would come apart if you pulled to hard but it was fixed on our second day here. And the day that we left the man that worked the front desk made everything simple and easy. Overall my experience at this hotel was amazing!

My daughter and I stayed here along with over 100 5th grade students and staff for a school trip to DC. As you can imagine that would be a massive undertaking for any hotel staff and the folks at this hotel were amazing. The rooms were comfortable, the breakfast was perfectly suited for our kids and the hotel staff as extremely patient and accommodating to all of our needs. Whether you are on a school trip, family vacation or business trip to the area, I highly recommend this hotel!

Thanksgiving Family Visit my son & his family stayed at same hotel. This was my second visit, for the cost, the overall value was good. Room had a couple of minor things wrong, could have fixed sooner, but not a desk breaker. Breakfast good, staff could be friendlier. Overall all satisfied.

We could not be happier with our stay. The staff was super friendly. The continental breakfast is one of the best I have seen recently, they had so many options. The room was clean. The location was perfect as we wanted to visit Mount Vernon and also had to go into DC. I cannot express how extremely happy I am with this stay.

The staff could not have been nicer from the minute we walk in the door until we left. The rooms are clean and QUIET!. The coffee area on 1st floor was always clean and always full. The breakfast was great, alot of choice and hot. (Only one complain: tables where not kept clean)

We were greeted by SUCH a nice young man and immediately felt welcomed. We were given a choice of floors and decided on the first. Even though we were right next to the hallway entrance, we didn't hear a peep out of anyone. Two large beds, microwave, small fridge, nice size bathroom, LOVED the lotions. There is a Safeway grocery store + several places to eat close to the hotel for either eat-in or delivery if you're so tired you can't make it out (we were.) The breakfast room was HUGE with so much seating, choices, hot/cold - a great start to our day. You can't go wrong here.

Very comfortable room. Mattress had a zipped cover on it (important to ensure you don't take bedbugs home) and was quite comfortable. Breakfast was good with lots of options available. Both check in and check out was quick!

It's clean, the breakfast is OK, the A/C works, the TV works, the bed is fine. It's centrally located - took me 20 minutes to get to national airport. People are friendly. For the price you pay, it's a deal. I'll go back the next time I'm in Washington.....

Although this motel is located on Richmond highway, it is very quiet inside and the abundant free breakfast and very friendly and efficient staff make it a pleasure to stay here. It is very clean and soon they will be modernizing their bathrooms even though they are fine right now.

This hotel was one of the nicer Best Westerns in this area. Front desk kind of slow at check in and front desk worker approved for us a 12;30 late checkout. In the morning we get a call from the front desk basically saying they dont do late checkout until 1230.

They were so nice we had the best tome and the Breakfast was great We had really great time AC was off when we came in the room but it cooled it off quick Desk Clerks were all super nice all thought outside was close to 103 beds were soft and everyting it the room as well worth the stay!!

Dining area was clean and presentable. *Friendly service by the gentleman at the front desk. *24-hour Exercise facility *Restaurants and shopping plazas are located near this hotel. *All rooms are accessible from interior passages only. Enter via the hotel lobby. CONS: *Loud Radiator; although, it kept the room cool on a hot, humid night. This location does not have a pool. RECOMMENDATIONS: *Ask for a room toward the back of the hotel, away from the highway. *Check out Best Western's website for price changes or rebates. *If you like it extremely quiet, you may want to bring some earplugs for noise from the radiator or the highway. I would seriously consider staying at this hotel if traveling through this area again in the future.

Had a free night and wanted to see national harbor. Traffic to and from harbor to hotel was horrific even at midday. Hotel needs upgrade. Location was iffy and when full parking could be a problem. Saw a small insect on tv stand.

I have stayed at many hotels throughout America. This is one of the better ones Clean and comfortable rooms and friendly staff. The parking area could be spruced up a bit. Perhaps some new landscapeing.

Stay there as an absolute last minute, scrambling and don't have a choice. The bathroom vent was full of black dust. Looks like it hasn't been clean in year(s). The A/C unit smells when you turn it on. Had to turn it back off because the smell was so bad. Check the bed to see if it was freshly made and the sheets are clean. The pillows are not the greatest. Wouldn't stay there again. This is what I get for booking a 2 star hotel.

we are reward members and had received a free room and where looking forward to staying at hotel. Myhusband became ill and had to go to Dr. I was willing to provide note to save our voucher. I was told it was already redeemed. We had not stayed their yet so I did not find a problem. I called eary on day of arrival. I spoke to customer service they said call hotel I did and know help there. We cancelled our other nights stay.We frequently travel and have our pick of hotels. This will not be on our list for the future.

Hotel newly renovated. Everything looked fresh and new. Room was clean. Shower was great, great water pressure always a plus. Bathroom had good amount of space, not cramped at all. Breakfast was always hot and always refilled when low. Staff that was interacted with was friendly. Only negative we had was asking house keeping a question the lady didn't understand English.

I had an opportunity to stay at this hotel while visiting Washington D.C. The hotel appears that it has been renovated within the last year or two. The room spotless and very spacious. The breakfast area offered numerous options and an abundant seating area.The staff were friendly and professional and were extremely accommodating.I highly recommend this hotel!

Very well maintained. Pleasant staff. Nice amenties except no hot tub or swimming pool. Not a very good family lfacility but great for a couple or for professional people. Needs to be more handicapped parking and make staff more aware of the needs of the handicapped.

My brother-in-law's bed sheets had hair on it and dirty spots when they first encountered it. To all guests: make sure you don't accept a dirty bed! Service otherwise was good. Word to the wise: make sure everything is clean and to your liking. The experience my brother-in-law and his wife experienced should have never happened. After a long night of traveling, this was the last thing they should have had to worry about: dirty beds!

Excellent location right off route 1. Hotel is very clean with fabulous free hot breakfast. Close to Mount Vernon and historic Alexandria, VA. Easy access to route 95, George Washington Parkway and Reagan Airport.

Great stay! The rooms are clean. Front desk staff are very attentive and able to answer questions. Each time we entered the lobby the staff stood up, paid attention and were ready to serve each guest. I was very impressed. The breakfast was fresh, hot and yummy! Was a great overall experience. About a twenty minute drive to National Harbor and thirty minutes to DC. Staff was very pleasant and friendly. Hot and cold selections at breakfast was very good. Breakfast area was roomy with plenty of seating. Room was clean and comfortable. Location was excellent. Plenty of places to eat nearby.

My 18 year old daughter and I booked a room with this hotel for a 2 night stay. I did read the other guest's reviews about the noise of these rooms. I figured they might have been more sensitive sleepers. Not the case. The walls are like a screen door. There's no sound barriers AT ALL. When my daughter and I went to the front desk to discuss this matter, I was assisted by who I am told is the general manager of the hotel. After speaking to us and showing that she obviously found us to be an annoyance, she called my daughter and I a name lowly while walking into towards an office and away from the desk, referencing us as female dogs, assuming that we would not have heard her. I asked her why she felt the need to use language like that towards a guest. Especially my daughter. She became extremely irate, unprofessional as well to mention, then she threatened us with the police if we did not leave and told me I was not receiving my refund. This manager treats guest terribly and is giving Best Western a bad reputation.

I highly recommend this motel. The rooms are very clean with comfortable beds and plenty of hot water. They have very quiet refrigerators in the rooms, big TV's and plenty of places to plug your phones and computers. The breakfast is above average, good eggs, strawberries to top the waffles and a fruit bowl. When we came in we were greeted by Maritza, a beautiful young woman with a beautiful smile. Both she, and Fayez made check in very pleasant - there were 8 of us, 4 rooms. We are already planning to go back, same time next year. This Best Western is also very convenient to many things to do in the area - Mount Vernon, downtown Alexandria and DC ust to name a few. You could spend many days vacationing here.

We went for President's day weekend to go to George Washington's Mt. Vernon. We were on a leisurely pace, so we booked the hotel 30 minutes before check-in. For the price, I wasn't expecting much, but boy was I wrong!! So yes, the lobby was a little sparse, but the hotel looked new and everything was well maintained. The front desk staff were very friendly. The room was big, modern and absolutely clean. The breakfast was good too. They had a automatic pancake maker and a wide variety of options. I have paid a lot more for similar rooms, so I was VERY, VERY happy with what we got for the price.

Yes, it has been quite a long time since we have stayed in a Best Western. However they have done a magnificent job of re-branding themselves. We could NOT have been more pleased and satisfied. Friendly, efficient, clean, helpful. We had a family gathering with many of us. Best Western was very accommodating in supplying whatever we asked or needed. Thank you!! Great value for short weekend stay and hotel met our needs. Better than I expected. Staff are friendly and professional. Room were comfortable and clean. The furnace worked very well. 24 hour access to coffe machine was great!

Awful treatment. The manager allowed other guest to make racial and harassing comments to me while these guest were blocking me in my room at the room's door. The hotel security was standing watching them harassing me and they did nothing to stop it. The other guest were repeadily calling me a “white bit*h” at my door when a member of the hotel staff brought me a new room key to a different room because the neighbors were harassing us threw the walls for absolutely no reason. After going to a new room that was not very clean and not what I booked, I called the manager to discuss the room and the harassment. She spoke over me and did not allow me to speak. When I told her that I felt the need to call Best Western Corporate, she told me I had to leave and said she was calling the police. As a very law abiding citizen and someone who only treats people kindly, I did leave because I don't need to be involved in that. She also refused a refund after she made us leave due to my worries of being racially harassed and approached aggressively by other said guest. I'm very glad that the hotel has video surveillance cameras near the door of my original room and vehicle that was parked outside. The videos will be extremely useful.

This hotel is just minutes from the Amtrak auto train. It is clean and efficient with friendly staff. The breakfast buffet is excellent, but best of all the coffee selection is better than most. An added feature is the Peruvian chicken BBQ take out & cafe next door. Combined they make a sought after destination for travelers, especially those taking the Auto train. I look forward to both on my way south each fall and often on my way north in the spring

Hotel did not have a covered unloading area in front of hotel. It was raining, no fun. Breakfast was terrible. Took 10-15 mins to get hot water to bathroom. Would not recommend staying here, unless it was only one availble.

The Staff was Fantastic & that's the only reason for a 3 . The room was very challenging . The toilet runs intermittently . The HVAC thermostat doesn't work , so you are frying or freezing . The sink tap system needs to be replaced as it takes forever to get any hot water . The walls are paper thin , we had to report noise from the next room tv at 11pm+ . Construction work on an adjacent lot begins at 7am . Wow should I go on . Well Room 120 is not a good choice & for us we were thankful it was just one night . As I said the Staff was marvelous .. but the room needs lots of work .

We checked in on a Monday and out on Wednesday and the evening clerk was very nice and friendly. There was not many guests and it was very quiet. There was construction in the lot beside the hotel but you hardly noticed it. The room was large with a king bed which was very comfortable; plenty of hot water also. The breakfast bar was well stocked with anything you could imagine. The second morning was a little different however, many of the containers were almost empty and the staff was not refilling anything. I noticed that one of the guests had to get her assist with more waffle batter - instead of putting more out she took the container and shook it to get just a little more out - still not enough for that guests. The counters were a little messy and had not been cleaned up when we came down around 8:30/9:00. The staff was in the storage room using her cell phone instead of assisting the guests. We were well pleased with the stay and again think the night clerk (did not get his name) was really great! Would definitely stay here again.

Lovely, inexpensive hotel to stay when taking the auto train the following day. Clean rooms, with just the necessary amenities, friendly employees, very nice hot breakfast and close by to restaurants. Specially the Peruvian Chicken for dinner.

Worst night ever. All the renovations in the world won't help if there are no quiet hours policy, the walls lack soundproofing, the doors have gaps along edges, and the staff aren't committed to keeping things quiet. The party noise started around 8. By 11:30, we were more than ready for it to stop. Although management acted when I complained and shut down the party, they called MY room when the remaining people called an ambulance for alcohol poisoning victim, accusing me of calling authorities about the noise. No, it is your guests saving the life of one of the partiers. She hung up on me. Three hours later, presumably after the bars closed, she let the partiers back in. My family was startled awake by loud music and voices again. I called to complain again and management did ask them to leave but that took another hour. We had to arise for our schedule two hours later, making this a very short night and a very long day following. I came to rest and prepare for a long drive. That didn't happen. Clearly avoid this hotel if you are coming to sleep. If you are looking for a place to party, this is your venue.

We were planning to spend a full day visiting Mount Vernon and arrived late in the afternoon without reservations. When we inquired at Best Western – Mount Vernon they informed us that all we had to do was turn at the light and go straight. Only five minutes from the hotel. We were pleased that the room was clean, large and bright. Many hotels have very little light and I feel like you can't see if the room is clean. The staff at the front desk was helpful. Comfortable beds and the room was large enough that we weren't bumping into each other. Breakfast was the standard fare and the dining area was nice and large. All this and Free Parking! A real perk in Washington D.C.

Things wrong with the room. TV did not work, overwhelming smell of cleaning products in bathroom, shower handle came off in my hand while turning it on, air conditioner sounded like a truck. Went to front desk and complained and got the "deer in the headlight" look. I had to suggest to them that they switch our room. There responsed was that maintance people will be back at 6 and they can take a look at problems. I did not like that idea for a few reasons,and was finally given a room change. Spend the few extra dollars and stay at another hotel in the area. Never again!

This place was recently renovated, arrived for a late check-in, and was impressed with the inside. definitely will be coming back. there were no odors or people standing around. there was also a 24hour coffee station that was very convenient. everything was close by there was a Peruvian restaurant next door and the food was also very good. everything was conveniently close by so you didn't have to go far and drive, especially after a long day of driving.

We used this hotel as a base to visit Washington DC and Alexandria and in hindsight it is a little far from both of these places. Upon check in we were greeted (I use this term loosely) by the most personality removed human being possible, who really did just go through the motions. Not welcoming at all. We went to our room and immediately called for maintenance as the air con had caused a nasty smell in the room. The maintenance guy came very quickly and was very polite, he cleaned the air con unit and after that we had no problems with smell in our room during our stay. The beds were comfy and the room was quiet, there was a safe in our room but it was broken, which the hotel knew about as they had a screwed a plate on it to hold the door closed. Breakfast was pretty standard style American breakfast, but the coffee machine really did give a really good cup of coffee! The free coffee in reception throughout the day and night was a nice touch and if I have to mention any one member of staff then the Asian (oriental) young man on reception was always very polite and friendly. Would I stay again? No, but it wasn't awful.

Stayed in this hotel for 2 nights and I couldn't fault it, clean rooms, excellent staff, bed was comfy, breakfast was excellent. Only issue was school kids stayed same time and were very rude, waiting for pancake mix and expecting the staff to know what they were waiting for

Most of the area hotels in the Washington DC area are very expensive. Traveling from nearby Alexandria VA was the perfect site. It was about 19 miles and if left the hotel early in the morning, you could be in DC within a half hour. Using Parking Spot also saved money as well. The hotel is very average with the amenities that you would expect from a budget hotel. It was clean and the room was large. Parking was a challenge if the house was full. The breakfast in the morning was terrific with many choices for hot and cold food. If you are seeking a spot to rest your head while on business or pleasure close to DC, this hotel is recommended. Enjoy the sites and flavors in the metropolitan area. It is a great place to visit.

We stayed here for one night after going to Monticello, on our way to Mount Vernon. The lobby of the hotel was clean, and looked very nice. Our room was clean, looked to be newly redone, and plenty space for 3 of us. Breakfast buffet is held in the banquet room downstairs. It was laid out well and lots to choose from. Hotel is convenient to shopping and restaurants and right off the main highway.

Spent 3 nights at this gem. Very reasonably priced. Was looking for a spot close to Washington DC but handy to other points of interest. Located only minutes from George Washington's estate, chain restaurants just down the road and about 30 minutes in rush hour from the Capitol this hotel fit our needs perfectly. Spacious clean rooms, great breakfast, friendly staff. No complaints at all. There is a Peruvian chicken - Si Pollo - place right next door that sells the best charcoal cooked chicken we've ever had and it very reasonably priced. If you stay here and like chicken you must try it Will stay here again in a heartbeat

This hotel is about a mile outside of old town Alexandria. But worth the ride. We required a handicapped room and were shown to huge clean and comfortable suite. But the breakfast is what set this stay apart. Homemade corned beef hash. Ham cut off the bone, various styles off eggs. Both pancakes and waffles went along with things found in other hotels. A coffee machine that rivaled Starbucks! Cappuccino, espresso,etc. excellent helpful staff...can't say enough about this stay!!

My wife and I have stayed in a few Best Westerns, and I have been disappointed (my wife is more forgiving!). But we chose this one because it was so close to Mount Vernon, and it was! Surprise!! This was a hotel almost completely made over with new floors and carpet, clean and comfortable rooms with up-to-date appliances, a great bathroom with a walk-in shower (I got a handicapped accessible room), and a very comfortable king bed. The breakfast offered a good variety and it was freshly prepared. Maybe the Best Western are worth booking in the future after all!

The room was very nice and clean. The hotel staff friendly. We were surprised since it was in a sketchy part of town. The breakfast was very large and good. The only negative thing was that the floor in the breakfast area (the basement) was sticky and we had to wipe off the bottom of our shoes later.

Nice, clean room, basic. Located on a busy road so not many restaurants within walking distance. If you want to get back in the car and take a short drive down the busy highway, you can find anything you need. Breakfast was ok - served in the basement. A short drive to Mt. Vernon which was nice. Water seemed to taste a little funny. Not many staff around to help - basically, two very nice people at the front desk.

The hotel was nice and our stay was pleasant. Everything was in working order. Seemed clean. The only negatives were the room was a little musty, possibly from the air conditioner. Also, there were some stains on the carpet in the hallway. Staff was pleasant. The breakfast exceeded our expectations for a complimentary breakfast - big selection and decent quality.

My husband & I stayed here a few weeks ago & there was a mix-up with the two credit cards we used & honestly I thought we were out over $200 because we had a Mastercard that was a rebate & we told them to apply it & then we threw it away assuming it was empty & then realized they'd charged the full amount to the other Visa. I assumed we were out of luck but after writing a review & pointing this out the hotel contacted me almost immediately & resolved the matter refunding the money to our VIsa account. I am so appreciative, we spent enough on our trip & then thinking we'd blown that $$ was very upsetting so KUDOS to the management of this hotel!!!

We had a lovely two nights in this hotel. The front desk is very professional. Our room was clean and smelled nice. The bathroom had a very modern sink and toiletries. The breakfast area though was located a bit strange when you take the elevator to it. In the hall you get out the elevator the housemaids have their carts lined up, stocking them. A double door takes you to a little hall a the bottom of the stairs and then a double door brings you to a breakfast area. The breakfast was served on china plates and steel cutlery (a welcome change after a few weeks of plastic) and was good. The room itself had a couple of large tables for buses or larges parties and some family tables

This hotel is located outside of Washington DC but it's very easy go to downtown with metro service. You can left the car at parking and walk 10 min to metro station Great service and the room are clean and quite. Special thanks to Harry the “breakfast” men.

We found the Best Western great for a one-night stay, especially compared with other value hotel chains we stayed with during our trip. The bed was very comfortable, the shower was powerful, the toiletries seemed nicer than normal and the breakfast was of a very good standard. The location was very convenient for driving to Mount Vernon, plus there were lots of amenities nearby (supermarkets, restaurants, post office, etc.) Would definitely recommend for a short stay or those on a budget!

This hotel has an average room for us that had average cleanliness areas. The elevator area in the cracks that the shaft comes up had trash but was not a big problem. I would have liked to see it cleaner.

Electrical outlets behind the nightstand are scary. WiFi works well. Staff are friendly and want to please. If you want a healthy breakfast, go out to eat.

Stayed here while on road trip for a night. Clean, comfortable and good breakfast. Totally fine for a night's stay. Fridge and microwave in room was nice. Not sure what there is to do around there, but not far from DC.

Hotel was nice and clean. It was very convenient and an easy drive to Mt. Vernon and the surrounding area. There is a large variety of restaurants in the area to choose from. Staff was very courteous and helpful. Breakfast had a lot of great choices. The only reason I gave a 4 for the room is that it needs more light. Otherwise, it was perfect, and a great bargain.

Nicely Appointed, looked like it was recently updated. Close to Services: grocery/pharmacy, etc. Friendly staff. Breakfast well organized with waffle and pancake makers & easy instructions. Coffee/Espresso maker well appreciated. Coffee maker in the lobby very convenient.

The property is run down and service was poor. I booked it for a group and many of my friends had a bad experience from broken heat/AC no towels in room. It is just an old building that needs to be bulldozed!

The front desk staff are the perfect combination of friendly and efficient. And the remotes always have fresh batteries in them. The only problem here is making a left turn from route 1 into the parking lot, but that's not really the hotel's fault.

We chose this hotel as it was close to Mt Vernon (7 mins by car). Check in was friendly and quick. This hotel is fine for an overnight..the hotel lacks any signage pointing you in the right direction off the elevators. Room was clean and we had plenty of room for the two of us. The A/C-heater unit was rather noisy and the lighting in the room could be a bit better..but for one night we were just fine. Breakfast is your standard selections with eggs, ham and pancakes---

Hotel is conveniently located but not very well marked. Check in staff helpful and friendly, lobby clean. Location is in a slightly dodgy neighborhood but room was quiet. It seems like the hotel is being up-fit and some investment has been made, but it is a work in process: large nasty stain on the carpet in the room, leaky toilet, and some lamps in need of bulbs or repair. Price was not outrageous and it was about a 10 minute car ride to the nearest Metro stop. Would likely pay a little extra for more convenience and nicer amenities next time.

When hotels get old and tired, they become Best Westerns. This Best Western gets high points for great front desk service, cleanliness, safety, and breakfast area. This Best Western gets low points for lack of cheerfulness, poor room lighting, doors that don't fit, and general tiredness. Examples of tiredness: all night plumbing drip, LOUD heat/ac system, extension cords plugged into wall behind the bed were smashed by the mattress. When I sat on the bed, the mattress moved causing various table lights to blink on and off. For $89 in Alexandria, it's a bargain. Holiday/Hampton/Fairmount are all nicer, but about twice the price. This is an OK stay if you are managing a tight budget.

We stayed 2 nights while visiting DC and Mount Vernon. Very good location and price. Hotel clean and breakfast good. Only one ice machine on main level. Rooms abit dated and bring a power strip if you have the typical phones to plug in to recharge. Very close to grocery stores and restaurants.

This hotel is a great value and is extremely convenient to Mt. Vernon. The outside of the building looks dated, but the interior appears to have been redone recently and is both clean and attractive. The complimentary breakfast was better than most.

Had a relaxing, relaxing time away from the normal routine of everyday life. Was able to have relaxing and thoughtful thoughts. Enjoyed friendship, love, family, relationship advice from a wise and Noble man of integrity.

We booked this hotel because we were bringing our daughter to report for duty with the Coast Guard. Best Western hotels are usually nice and affordable. After a 15 hour drive from St. Louis we arrived at the hotel a little after midnight. Exhausted and just wanting to sleep we checked in & entered our room which was the equivalent of a blast furnace. The heat was turned on full blast for who knows how long. We turned the heat off and A/C on immediately & left the door open for a bit to try letting some heat out. I asked the front desk attendant if they had a fan or if there was anything she could do about the heat (like move is to another room, adjust the price?). Her response was to "turn on the air conditioner". Glad she suggested that because I never would have thought of that. She said there was nothing to be done and did offer a pathetic "sorry". It was miserable sleeping in that room. Even the bedding was miserably hot. By morning it had cooled off somewhat but was still very warm. The breakfast was ok. It was served in a basement room that was also being used for storage. It appeared some construction was taking place. Overall I was not pleased and not what I expected from a Best Western as we have stayed in many and have always had great experiences. Not only was the room hot the bathroom floor was dirty and the tub looked as if it hadn't been cleaned. The lobby was dirty and the attendant was less than accommodating. All she wanted to do was play on the computer. I wouldn't stay at this hotel again. I tried calling the corporate office to complain and left a message but have heard nothing.

I stayed at the Best Western on Richmond Highway in Alexandria, VA and it was my first time staying at a Best Western and I would recommend staying here.The hotel was easy to navigate and the hotel room was clean. The entire staff was very helpful and accommodating. The cleaning staff were nice and Quincy Milburn at the front desk, was very friendly and always greeted me with a smile and kind words. He was very helpful when it came to recommending places to eat and getting other information that I needed. There was complimentary breakfast and laundry machines on site (I used the machines several times while here with no issue). Overall it was a wonderful stay.

We stay at the Best Western every year for Thanksgiving we are down visiting family. The breakfast is wonderful, with all the usual breakfast items. Wonderful hotel and I highly recommend you stay here

My entire stay was great, from the fast and easy check-in, to the variety of options at breakfast each morning. The hotel décor has been updated and it is warm and inviting! The hotel staff was friendly and very helpful. The hotel is close to great shopping and sight- seeing events. I would love to stay here again and would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a great place to stay at a great price!

Good location to get to other areas near Alexandria/DC. Room was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast included in room rate is good and plentiful. Rates are very good. Property was relatively recently renovated and the lobby has the brightest lighting I have ever seen in a hotel. Lobby decor and lighting were very garish, cold and sterile. The managers are wonderful, but other front desk people are not as welcoming as the managers. Certainly worth a stay for the price and location.

The hotel was very clean and the personnel all friendly. The room was comfortable with a firm mattress, good TV service, and adequate storage for our needs. The complimentary coffee (in the room and by the front desk), and the complimentary breakfast were quite good. The room was quiet and had good working heating and cooling.

Hotel did not have the typical BW sign and there were several little things that bothered us that we usually don't have to deal with when staying at Best Western; hotel is a little tired looking; free breakfast but eggs, sausage and potatoes were awful - they need a better cook!

The Hotel as compared to other hotels is below average. They tried to be economical on every thing from soaps to shampoos.They need to change the old carpets. They need to make a better breakfast options.

Hotel was very bright and very clean. Our room offered a king size bed with a very comfortable mattress. Our room was spotless and did have a small refrigerator, microwave and coffee. Breakfast in the morning was quite good and offered a great deal of variety. I did not particularly like their coffee which was from a machine that you could get rev., decaf, hot chocolate. But then I'm quite particular about my coffee.

Hotel was a great stay for the price, and staff was great, rooms were great. Will defenatly stay again. Oh, can't forget the breakfast, it was great. I stayed for business, but great for couples and family stay.

My wife and I took a vacation to Washington, D.C. and stayed at this Best Western in Alexandria, VA. We liked it because it was only a hop, skip, and a jump away. It is also really close to George Washington's Mt. Vernon, too, which we REALLY enjoyed visiting. This hotel is only about 15-20 mins from The Metro (the rail-train that goes into D.C.). Every day we would park at the Metro and ride it in. Some reviews say the Metro parking is always full, but we never had any trouble finding a parking spot. This hotel wasn't the best hotel we've stayed at, but for the price, the cleanliness, the friendliness of the staff, and the convenience to D.C., I would stay here again.

Very nice hotel with an excellent breakfast and coffee machine. The location to Mt Vernon was perfect, only a short drive away. The hotel, though not fancy, was clean, neat and looked to be updating itself. The room rate was great compared to the other hotels in the area. We would definitely return to this location on our next visit.

We stay at this hotel often when in DC area. Always clean and staff very nice. Good value for DC area. Metro is close by and feel very safe staying in this area. We also love the free breakfast with many items to choose from.

This hotel is convenient to Northern va, Fort Belvoir, and D.C. The staff is very courteous, friendly, and helpful. The rooms are clean, and the Breakfast is very adequate. Also there is a fantastic Peruvian Rotisserie Chicken place right next door that's in my opinion very very good.

This hotel was kept up to par. The breakfast and stay was awesome... This Best Western have a very comfortable bed, plentiful breakfast, nice staff, and limited parking area. It only have one entrance and exit. Could use more outside lighting.

When we arrived the motel looked very nice. It looked to be remodeled just recently. We booked a room for two nights and didn't have an issue until the second night. We returned to our room around 10 p.m. and we're very tired. My husband pulled the sheets back and saw roaches! One darted into my pillow and he caught it and smashed it. We started to look around and found a dead one behind the fridge and another climbing the wall. We found roach bait behind the refrigerator. It has obviously been a problem. My husband went down to the front desk and the woman working at the front desk(Terry), didn't seem surprised. She offered to move us to another room. When my husband came back to the room I was packing things up because I was just ready to leave. By now it was after midnight and we were supposed to be up early as I had an important meeting to go to. The front desk called our room and asked if we were going to move to the other room. I said I wasn't sure and that we might just leave. she said to me don't worry your will be given a discount for the night. Because it was so late in the night we decided to stay. However I was not able to sleep and did not make the meeting the next day. Add this to the fact that we had to bring home our things in black bags and probably wash everything in hot water for fear of transporting roaches to our own home we were very upset. We talked to the front desk in the morning and were offered a $27 discount. I called Best Western customer service and was only offered reward points for our stay. For what we went through and the nonchalant attitude about the entire incident we found their customer service appalling. I would never stay at another Best Western and I will never recommend it to anyone else.I have never written a bad review before either,however I am doing so now because I would hate for anyone to go through the same situation we did.

This hotel is a good place to stay for the money. It's clean and has a very friendly staff. The food was not bad. It's an average hotel, nothing special, but the friendliness of the staff made it better and the beds were comfortable.

Do not turn on your laptops in this hotel it is infested with multiple Trojans. These viruses ruined my stay. The Hotel has been refurbished and they were still had been finishing the final touches and place the artwork. The food was good and the severs kept it stocked till the close of service time. It was a good value if you do not use the internet service.

We stayed one night and our room was really large. The place is clean, the staff were friendly and informative BUT it doesn't look anything like their website pics. {lobby} we thought we were in the wrong place. But other than that no complaints. The breakfast was better than the average breakfast with grits and pancakes and included for the 89.oo a night so Id stay there again.

Rooms need updates and someone to check that everything is ok. Toilet seat broken as was the cover on the toilet. Shower spout loose and moved when shower turned on. However staff were very helpful and courteous

Came to the area for a birthday party and to tour the capital. Stayed for the weekend. Was happy with the overall experience and cleanliness. Breakfast was full and pretty good and each morning something different. The bed very comfortable too. A lot of shopping and restaurants close by as well.

My stay was okay. This is an older hotel, in need of upgrading. There were a number of broken or damaged items in the room, and a musty smell (that I admittedly got used to pretty quickly). The staff was extremely friendly, which made up for a lot. I will probably choose another hotel if I come back to the area, as there are a number of nearby choices. It was only average, even for the low cost.

This hotel has the two most important things I look for going for it. It is clean and very quiet. It's pretty convenient to Mount Vernon and there are several fast food restaurants nearby. There is a free shuttle to the metro as well.

We stayed for 5 days. The staff was courteous and the rooms were clean, nicely furnished, and comfortable. The breakfast was great and varied with the warm food selections. We couldn't have asked for a better hotel to stay in while we were in the area.

best hotel during our trip, nice rooms, great beds, great staff. clean area and quiet. we got in late, was really tired, we were able to get in and get settled down to a comfortable bed. The breakfast was good.

Our room was spacious as well as the bath. The beds with their mounds of pillows were so apprecaited - we slept well. Complimentary breakfast included make your own waffle, fruit, muffins, cereals, eggs and bacon or ham - so delicious and well stocked.The breakfast room was large and we had access to the news on tv as well as US Today newspaper. Friendly & helpful staff. We would recommend this hotel to any traveler. Short drive to Metro station & Mt Vernon.

The front desk clerks were very friendly and helpful. I had questions about my bill and they were very patient with me in explaining the details. Rooms were clean and orderly. I loved the Continental breakfast.. it was a real breakfast not just cereal and a bagel.

A good place to stay. I love the location.. I love the King size bed, slept like a baby. This is value for money. The only suggestion I would make is that I think all the rooms should have plugged-in air fresheners.

I was looking for a hotel just to sleep in and was willing to compromise on quality. I was pleasantly surprised with the quality, friendliness of staff and overall experience. The bed was outrageously comfortable. Probably the most comfortable I have ever slept in.

the inside changes are wonderful the food is good. the staff is pleasant. we were in handicap accessible room and it is one of the best we have had. lots of room to move around and a shower! only suggestion would be herbal tea available in lobby. we did find the lighting to be on he dim side.

We enjoyed our stay at BW Ft. Belvoir. The was very friendly, helpful and courteous. The building was an older building but have been remodeled and updated. There was an Oder in the room that may have been from the new carpet. Our bed was very comfortable. The room was functional. The breakfast was always well stocked. We were there for 5 days. On the weekend, we had omlets to go with the sausage or bacon. There was biscuits and gravy some of the mornings. The usual waffles. Different breads, bagels, English muffins, muffins and small donuts to choose from. 5 kinds of dry cereal as well as cooked oatmeal. Coffee, milk, and 4 kinds of juices. Also fresh fruit and canned pineapple. There was plenty of room in the breakfast area.

Hotel would not flush. I talked to the lady at the desk and was told that they would send someone. They did not. I used the restroom at a friend's home instead the next morning. On Sunday, after running outside, I desperately need to take a shower. I arrived at the hotel in the morning and my key car would NOT work. I went downstairs for a new key card. Back upstairs and again, it does NOT work. Again, I head back and the lady gives me a 3rd key card. The lady even walked with me upstairs to try the key card herself. The key card did NOT work. We head back downstairs for a 4th key card. We then head back upstairs and although initially the 4th key didn't work either, it eventually worked. it was very frustrating for the lady and I. I was sweating from my run, then had to wait around a good 15 minutes before I was given access back to my room. Also, the AC must of leak because the carpet was WET and I accidentally stepped on it with my socks as I was trying to open the curtains. I also told the lady this, but nothing was done about it. Very frustrating!

The staff are really helpful and informative. They don't rush you along and answer all sorts of questions. The beds were comfortable and the rooms super clean. My husband and I love Best Western! Always a great breakfast, too!

I recently stayed at this hotel. The beds and pillows are very comfortable. It was very close to George Washington's Mt. Vernon, which is why I chose it. The staff were very friendly. It is in an area which has lots of restaurants, gas and shopping if you need anything.

Good hotel and friendly staff. Enjoyed our stay while there and would recommend it to travelers. The area near the hotel is commercial with shops and restaurants nearby for your convenience. We always stay at Best Western when traveling and found this one to be nice.

This is an older hotel. Our room had electrical outlets hanging out of the walls, but what do you expect for $100 a night? The breakfast buffet was good and the proximity to the Huntington Metro Station was nice (about 25 minutes). To sum it up, it wasn't a terrible hotel, but there are certainly nicer ones closer to DC that are better.

Although the neighborhood was less than desirable, the hotel was superior. It is well kept and serves a 5-star breakfast with more choices than I have ever seen offered at a hotel breakfast. Each item was fresh and delicious. Don't miss the waffles!

My family and I had a wonderful experience from booking to check out. The staff were extremely accommodating and hospitable (especially Stacey and Jose). The rooms were extremely clean and comfortable. Breakfast was great. We will definitely stay again!

Should be called Worse Western! Dirty room and unsafe conditions with electrical outlets on the floor. Will never stay at a Best Western again. Took photos of the room but cant post them on here. Too bad!

This hotel is on Richmond Highway, minutes away from Ft. Belvior and about 10-15 miles from Reagan National Airport. I have stayed here twice in the last few months. My rooms have been comfortable and were equipped with a refrigerator and microwave. The complimentary breakfast offers a great selection of items. There is also a laundry facility on site.

The hotel staff was great and were able to answer any question I had. They were always smiling or laughing was great to see and experience. A very pleasant place to be with family and friends. Must Visit

Hotel was clean, staff was very nice, breakfast was good. We had a very nice stay hotel is being renovated but our room was very good. Mt Vernon is very close by that is why we were there it was very good for the price.

This hotel was spotlessly clean, although the bathroom showed a bit of wear around the edges (scuffed baseboards and the like). The breakfast was quite good (the waffles in particular were very good). I have no real complaints about this hotel, but I do have to say that having the manager (or the person I took to be the manager as I later saw him behind the front desk) standing just outside the front door in the morning smoking a cigarette doesn't exactly set the right tone.

Excellent stay, staff was courteous, friendly and helpful. Breakfast was on time and always of very good quality. I will recommend staying here to all my friends. Starting my day with a good breakfast is critical to me and Best Western met all my needs.

My husband and I stayed here for three nights. We would stay here again. The staff was so friendly and helpful. The breakfast was beyond expectations. Our room was very clean, smelled clean and was very comfortable. The rooms were very quiet. There were teenagers staying on our floor from a school group. We never heard them.

This is an example of not judging a book by its cover. The outside is a bit.....plain? Dated? But the inside is nicer. I loved their floors,loved! The carpet in the halls and room look newer. I didn't see any stains or fraying. Is this a 5 star hotel? Of course not! So for Best Western,I'm pleased. The room was chilly when we went in so we went straight to adjust it and ignored that the AC unit in the room was newer also. It worked well. In fact I got too cool and turned it down. After coming back from dinner I did notice that the room was a bit warmer and somewhat humid. Turning back up the AC fixed that issue. The room had a fridge and microwave and both were clean. The bed was neatly made and clean. I did notice that the curtains did not close. There was a sheer curtain covering the windows and a heavier curtain, but there was no bar to pull the curtains together to close. They were sort of there for decoration, almost. This would be unfavorable for someone who is easily affected by daylight but it did not bother me. I am a fan of long showers. Especially when I am away from home. During my shower the steam set of the smoke detector in my room. I waited for a phone call from the front office but there wasn't one. Also the tub was draining very slowly so while showering the water kept collecting. It was enough to cover the toes,not too deep. The hotel had many channels on the television and a LG television to watch them on. There was a guide on the tv stand. The check in staff were welcoming and helpful.

We were in town for a wedding at Woodlawn. We were looking for a hotel that was affordable, and a good location. This was an excellent choice. Our rooms were clean and well laid out, although a little small. We had a great breakfast each morning, and the staff were friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again.

On Saturday July 8th, I traveled to Alexandria for the memorial service for both my parents. I had reserved a handicapped accessible room at the Best Western Mt Vernon. I found this room on Booking.com, and booked it because it was the only room in the area listed as having a roll-on shower. I then checked the room on the Best Western website. At this time I did not realize that the Best Western Mt Vernon would feel no concern or responsibility for customer satisfaction for bookings made through Booking.com, and certainly no concern for their disabled guests. We called down to the desk when we discovered that the shower had a 3 inch lip, and not only could not be rolled into, it was also too narrow for a shower chair. As soon as we said, "We booked a handicapped accessible room," the clerk went into a long tirade about how it was not accessible, and it was Booking.com's fault for listing it that way. The exact same description of this room was also on the Best Western Mt Vernon's own site. The bed was also 5 inches higher than my power wheelchair, and I had a very scary time getting into it. When I asked the clerk at the front desk the next morning how they could sell this room as handicapped accessible, with a roll in shower, she responded " I don't know," without looking up. The clerk wouldn't even let me cancel the next night's booking. She said I had to go through Booking.com, and wouldn't even record that I was leaving the hotel. Booking.com has no place to indicate that I needed to cancel because the room was not as described. I finally found a phone number, but eventually gave up hope of ever reaching a human at the other end. Then I found that it was Best Western who charged my card, not Booking.com If nothing else, I feel obligated to warn other disabled potential guests and anyone who is concerned about fair treatment for the disabled, to avoid the Best Western Mt Vernon, and to avoid booking through Booking.com. I spent the next night at a Hampton Inn and all was as it should be.

We visited Washington DC every single day. The hotel is about six miles from two different metro stations. This BW hotel had extremely helpful staff and our room was clean and the breakfast offered many good choices. There were multiple restaurants in the area and there was a nice shopping mall less than 10 miles away. We would definitely stay at this hotel again when we come back to visit Washington DC.

Lovely, clean and comfy rooms, reasonable price, with 24 hour fresh coffee station. Sidney, the manager, was very helpful to us when we encountered a problem with our booking. Great Peruvian chicken restaurant next store with fresh, delicious food. Best for travelers with a car as metro station is a bit far away. Had a wonderful, restful stay.

I really enjoyed staying at BW hotel the room was nice and clean , bed slept comfortable, they had a real breakfast that I would cook it was great staying there. the location was fine nice parks in the area if you love parks.

Stayed for a night at this location. It was pretty decent for the price we paid. Wifi, breakfast, parking, room were okay. The staff was good. Room was clean and organized. The steam iron was not working though. Safe location.

stayed at Mount Vernon Hotel, while visiting family and touring Washington DC. The hotel was great. Service, breakfast. Parking, or getting to it, had a bottleneck right in front where people checking in would park their cars. It was a little further south of the freeway than we expected. Suggest looking at Google Maps before heading out. Also click the traffic option on GM; it can be pretty insane at certain times of the day. Best to avoid it. Major Big Box stores: Walmart, Target... also a Home Depot and Lowe's.

When we checked in at the front desk, we were greated by Nina. She was awesome! Very kind & helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was quite good - the waffle maker was a nice touch. Will consider staying again on my next trip.

Our three day stay at the Best Western Hotel, Mount Vernon, was outstanding! Exemplary service starting with the kind assistance of Stacy, one of the front desk employees; to the efficient and friendly maintenance man (to fix a toilet issue); to the accommodating breakfast staff; all the way through check out. Stacy was extraordinarily helpful during the reservation process and thereafter when he made a special accommodation to allow us to check in early in order to avoid leaving our bags in the trunk of the car for the day while touring DC. The staff is great. Stacey especially makes sure that I always gets my reward points. He courteous, prompt, knowledgeable, patient, and professional. You need to hire more employees like Stacey. The breakfast is always the best. I visit this hotel frequently to coordinate visits with my children.

Friendly staff and convenient location to mount Vernon. Room clean, but bathroom door didn't close. Just didn't fit door frame and bathroom was dated. Needed a new tub. Fantastic restaurant around the corner, El Paso. Easy walk over there and amazing authentic Mexican food. (Easier to walk than drive to restaurant) Breakfast was pretty good and busy, but coffee was terrible. Biggest complaint, only instant coffee available....horrible. Overall, I would stay there again.

Extremely friendly staff! Very good breakfast, the fitness room is basic but adequate. Hotel is undergoing renovation but is in good shape. Walls are a little thin so next door noise is present. Good location to Fort Belvor but Richmond Highway gets busy after 5PM

I absolutely love this hotel. They have the best breakfast. The staff is pleasant, professional, and very helpful especially Stacy who addresses all of my concerns promptly with a smile. I recommend this hotel anyone appreciates good customer service.

Hotel is conveniently located with restaurants, stores and car rental facilities around. Front desk staff is very friendly and efficient (especially Stacie). Guest rooms are clean, however, guest rooms and exercise room will definitely benefit from an upgrade. Daily breakfast is served which is a plus, but there are no healthy options available. A good place to stay if on a budget.

We used this location for our daily trips into DC. Clean comfortable with a pleasant staff and a complete breakfast. Couldn't ask for more at the price. Will stay again. Some construction /remodeling was taking place, and some guest smoked outside the door. Other than that, I would recommend this place.

Basic hotel, but since the location is good (well off the road, so quiet, and ready access to DC, Alexandria and Interstate 495/95) and it has just been renovated, it is an exceptional value for an economy class hotel. Breakfast was above average in quantity, quality and selection.

The staff was very helpful and friendly, helping us with the local Metro, where to get on, transfer etc. Breakfast was a little different each morning and tasted good each time. The staff was friendly. The room was nice.

My friend and I stayed at this hotel while visiting Washington DC. While the location was a bit out of the city, it was a very safe area and the hotel was excellent. The staff gave us very helpful transportation advice. I'd advice taking an uber into the city over the bus, however.

I have stayed at this property numerous times, and am ALWAYS pleased. The staff are polite and knowledgeable about the Alexandria, VA and Washington, DC area. This site is especially convenient to Mount Vernon and Old Town Alexandria -- both Must See locations.

We stayed at this average Best Western facility for 3 nights in late May 2017. However, we arrived on a rainy evening and were surprised that a hotel of this size did not have a porte cochere at the front door and left us discharging passengers and luggage in the rain The lobby was a bit barren and lacking in warmth. The friendliness of the front desk staff was mixed—two friendly and one perfunctory. The latter indicated that there were no other entrances to the hotel (there were at least two others) and also that we would need to drive about 20 minutes to find decent food, whereas there were three restaurants within a short walking distance, one excellent and two good. When we entered the room, we found construction dirt in the bathtub and on the bathroom floor. One of the front desk staff promptly and graciously cleaned these areas. Otherwise, the room itself was spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was typical with plenty of seating space.

Was an easy place to stay. Nothing extravagant, but if you are looking for a simple, clean place to lay your head with a good breakfast, this fits the bill. They have security on each floor. Recommend.

Staff went above and beyond to help us with travel, food and room details. They are remodeling, but showed great dedication to their work! The floor we stayed on was just opening back up, but it allowed all of our family to stay in one area---which was terrific in order to help keep all of the children together.

My buddy and I stayed there for 3 days for the Rolling Thunder ride and he made the trip so much more enjoyable. Give him a raise !

The location was nice, the staff was friendly, the rooms were clean and decorated nice. The breakfast was nice and available coffee throughout the day was appreciated. Extremely close to Mt. Veron, which was the highlight of the visit.

The customer service was good and the staff was very friendly. However, the rooms could be cleaner, make sure windows are closed and locked (the window in the room was open and not locked), light bulbs were burnt out, some switches did not work for lights or vents, vents did not work for the bathroom, no TV remote in the room. I must say the breakfast was good and there were a decent amount of choices.

While the room was redone the bathroom was only cosmetically done - toilet was cracked as was the caulking around tub and floor. Cafe room and kitchen were beyond dirty! The floors and tables have never been cleaned. The coffee was only machine made.

Typical Best Western. Room was nice and free breakfast was the best of the automated I have seen. Area is very noisy but any lodging in that area would come with highway noise. Trash collection the morning we were there was at 6am and very loud. Staff was very nice. This place is open 24 hours for checking in late at night. Since we arrived at 11pm this was great.

The place is a bit of a dump (though apparently they are working on the appearance) and a large group of bikers (Harley-types) were partying outside under our room window. But we've stayed in worse in the DC area, and it's a quick drive to Mount Vernon (which is superb).

Love their breakfast - when you can get in there. Easy access, free parking, free wi-fi. Comfortable rooms. Convenient to local attractions, DC and loads of food options around. Second time staying there and would stay there again for any other trips to the DC area.

The only thing keeping me from giving an excellent rating is the remodeling that was taking place during our stay. Don't let this keep you from staying here because based on our room and the quality of the staff, ALL the staff, it will deserve an excellent rating once the remodeling is complete. Our room was spacious, comfortable and quiet. The location is convenient to Mount Vernon and Alexandria, and if you choose, Washington D.C. If you go in the next few weeks be aware there is a lot of road construction taking place on US-1, not the motels fault, which made it difficult to get there. The breakfast is very good and has enough variety to satisfy just about everyone. There were several school groups there on field trips and when they all hit the breakfast area at the same time it was interesting to say the least. The ladies working that area were great. They made sure the food never ran out and watching them around 75 to 100 5th and 6th graders was amazing. I would stay there again if for no other reason than the kindness and courtesy, not to mention the patience, these ladies showed.

This is a conveniently located hotel with an outstanding staff and clean neat rooms with good beds. The hotel is undergoing a renovation (5/17) and it is not complete, but over all the hotel was clean and bright. It has a very good coffee machine in the lobby with multiple options. One of the best things at this hotel is the very helpful and friendly staff. We enjoyed interacting with Stacy at the front desk. Ask him a question and he will get the answer. We enjoyed our stay.

Stayed at this hotel for business nearby. The hotel itself is basic but gives good bang for your buck. The only gripe that I had with the hotel is that the gym is really outdated and needs work, not to mention it is hidden in the basement. When running on the treadmill, the belt stopped for a split second and I almost injured myself. I believe this was just due to the treadmill being so old, similar to all of the equipment in the gym. Other than that, no real complaints from my end. If you are just looking for a place to crash, this hotel will do the trick.

Clean, modern, quiet. Near the car train, hearty breafast, friendly staff. Next door there is an excellent Peruvian chicken BBQ. Just a few minutes from Lrton Station, far enough to be quiet and away from the hectic masses.

We were amazed as soon as we opened the door to the room. Right away you could smell the freshness. The décor was beautifully designed. Everything was excellent, such soft, fresh linens to the sparkling clean bathroom. Breakfast had an excellent variety of foods to appeal to anyone's taste. It was a nice quiet night. Staff was great and we slept well went to work every day rested with a full stomach.I cant say enough about the manger and her staff everyone was so polite and helpful We are working hard everyday and come back to a clean room and smiling faces.

This hotel is located south of Old Town by car 20 minutes. It is in an area that is developing and there are ample services in the surrounding strip malls. Large free parking lot. This was one of the cleanest BW's we've visited. The King Room was very comfortable and appeared to have been recently recarpeted and painted. It was 90 degrees one day and the air conditioner kept us comfortable all night. It's quite close to Mount Vernon and several nature preserves. The breakfast was only fair- not really many choices, but enough to get started for a day of sight seeing. We stayed for three nights- all quiet and restful.

I was in DC on Business for eight days and hotels in the Capitol were not available for that length of time, so I looked outside of the city looking for something near by and found this location online. The travel into the Capitol was easier than I had expected and using my GPS which finds the best route according to the traffic. Each day I used one of the many different routes into the city and the travel was easy. I enjoyed my stay surprisingly.

the hotel was being remodeled. We were not inconvenienced by the remodeling . Our room was just remodeled it was a nice size room clean with comfy beds. The hot breakfast was good .Eggs were a bit to buttery. The hotel was close enough to the interstate with plenty of restaurant and store in the area. Its about half hour from Washington dc depending on traffic. My suggestion find nearest metro rail save yourself the stress! I would have given it five stars but the clerk when checking in advised my sister that if she steal anything there's a 25.00 charge added to bill. Not exactly a nice Welcome to the hotel! I've stayed at many hotels never heard that before. I would stay there again.

The hotel is undergoing renovation and our view from our room was of the back parking lot, a construction dumpster, and construction debris. But this is of course temporary and did not interfere with our overall good experience here. Friendly staff, a great location, and excellent value.

Stayed 5 days. Didn't spend a lot of time in the room. Good value for the money. Under renovation so lots of little annoyances. Nice staff. Within 6 miles of a Metro Station. Inconsistent service.Good breakfast (but better if they offered water).

The first issue was out room wasn't ready ... At 8:15 pm!!! My mom requires a roll-in shower, we booked a week in advance - even knew the room number because there are only two rooms with roll-in showers - but when we went to check in, Stacey told us the room hadn't been cleaned that day! If you know a room is booked, how does it not get cleaned? Stacey let us look at a normal room so Mom could check the height of the tub to see if she could lift her leg over the side. Good thing she could, so we moved rooms. Next morning we talked to the general manager, who thought we had looked at the room and said it wasn't clean. We told her that wasn't correct, but still only got comped one night. We left the hotel at 11a.m. and didn't return until 4:40 p.m. only to find the rooms not cleaned! Beds not made, trash not removed ... But the dirty towels had been taken .. Without being replaced. Then there was the green mold under the shower faucet. Will not stay here again, and makes me wonder about other Best Western hotels.

From the time we walked in the front door until the time we left, Stacey welcomed us and did everything he could to make our stay enjoyable. He suggested places to eat, and gave us pin point directions to next venue. After we checked in, Stacey would call us by name and wished us pleasant journeys when we left. The hotel was clean, quiet, and the breakfast was very enjoyable. You are also less than 10 minutes from Mt. Vernon.

Other than a few noisy neighbors, this is the best hotel for the price. Good continental breakfast and friendly staff. The one I'm in has a kitchen and a king bed, though if you prefer respectful neighbors, ask for a room not on the main floor. Or seek resolution from the front desk.

Very clean room, looked recently redone. Comfortable bed. Refrigerate, microwave and coffee pot in room. Nice breakfast and very nice staff. The location was great for us. Close to VA atttractions as well as DC.

My daughter stayed two nights during a field trip to DC. Three rooms of kids had bed bugs. Security is lacking, a stranger in a hoodie tried to get into my daughter's room along with other kids' rooms.

We were greeted by a witch! (It was Halloween, after all!). Rooms were clean, as was the bathroom. We were close enough to the Auto-Train; got there with no problem. Bathroom was also clean (very important to me). Breakfast was a standard BW breakfast-very big room, lots of seats! When we checked out we mentioned we were travelling on the Auto-Train and Stacey gave us lots of tips! He worked on the train for 10 years! I will review the train as well, so look at that if you're going to FL with a car.

Stayed one night (October 26) to visit George Washington's Mount Vernon the next day, before flying out of Dulles Very convenient, inexpensive, and room was great. More noteworthy was the front desk staff, especially Stacey. What a guy! So personable, interested in our trip, and fun to chat with! Kudos to BW for a great hire!

Breakfast buffet was above average! Quality ingredients and preparation. Perusian chicken restaurant next door was recommended by staff and is very good, plus is walking distance, requiring no more driving after a day of travel.

We stayed here in 2013 or 2014. Decided to do so again this October 2016. The price is good and the included breakfast very good with lots of choice including biscuits and gravy, waffles, corn beef hash, and potatoes. The place is becoming a bit dated. Musty smell when we entered our king room which later dissipated. The room doors are loud when closing and we were awakened a couple of times with people coming and going. There was light from the hallway showing around the door. Service was good and check in very quick as we pre-booked. Stayed three nights. Parking and wifi free. There were no problems. The total was $226 for three nights. Best price in the area and about 7 miles from old town Alexandria. Numerous restaurants in the immediate vicinity. If remodeled we would stay again.

Would not say no frills but had added value. Room was kinda basic but clean, flat screen, plenty of channels, micro, fridge and a REALLY comfy bed. Brekky OK (free), basic but re-stocked regularly. Within walking distance (like minutes) McD's, Subway, Dominos but first and foremost you HAVE TO TRY the Peruvian chicken spot right next door to the right when you walk out of the hotel...EXCEPTIONAL taste that makes you forget about the simplicity of the restaurant itself and it if very affordable as well (called El Pollo or something like that). Location for shopping is great if you have a car. Plenty of stores nearby (including SafeWay, Walmart, Target, etc and a few malls). Metro to get into DC is about a 15-20 min drive depending which station you prefer. The hotel was quiet, safe and plenty of well lit parking. One BIG suggestion for the hotel. Add some benches and ashtrays outside for us smokers (even by the front corners of the building, away from the entrance or in that little grassy area opposite of the entrance, by the shuttle bus) and one on either side of the entry for those that just want to sit outside resting after a long day of sightseeing. There is NOWHERE to sit outside currently and it would not cost much to do this upgrade! Overall, I'd give the hotel 4 out of 5 based on it's affordability. They lost 1/2 star for no benches (see above) and another 1/2 for no restaurant/bar on site. Keep in mind, I have stayed in many 5+ star hotels before and am rating based on 'bang-for-the-buck'. If and when I come back to the area (quite a few things I did not have time to do/see), I leave a note to front desk...fluff up my pillows 'cause I'll be back!

Hotel needs repairs water leak is in ceiling and i heard a crackling noise when i turned on the bathroom light scary. Some of the air conditioning units do not work on high. Staff is wonderful, but the hotel needs repairs and sprayed for spiders. They gave me another room 137 was in need of repairs.

This hotel was very nice and clean with a friendly staff. It had an excellent hot breakfast selection. When we checked out, Stacey (the gentleman at the desk) was extremely helpful in directing us to Mount Vernon and even provided us with a map and discount coupons.

Liked how clean and simple the room was. Plenty of clean linen too. Great hotel for business travelers. However, it's on the highway, so not much to do around here. They don't have room service, so meals can be an issue.

Spent Saturday night with three girlfriends for a Girl's weekend. We had connecting rooms. The desk clerk greeted us with a hearty welcome every time we entered the lobby. There was a problem with the lock on one connecting door but the maintenance man arrived promptly and made the repair. The rooms were basic and clean. The bathroom was large with good water pressure. The ac worked well. One of the rooms was missing pictures on the wall.The hot breakfast buffet was nicely done with fluffy biscuits, sausage gravy, link sausage, yummy scrambled eggs, potatoes, "make your own waffles" with all the toppings and add ins, pastries, breads, cereals, hb eggs, yogurt, fruit, juices, etc. (everything one could want for breakfast).

The staff was friendly and made the step pleasurable. The room was very clean and comfortable. The location was excellent because it allowed me to do some shopping without leaving the area. I would strongly recommend this hotel for any family traveling.

I have stayed at Best western Mt vernon a number of times in the last 4 years.The location and service is very good.I plan on staying at the Best Western Mt.Vernon every time i come to the Mt.Vernon area to visit friends

Highly recommend this hotel for a good, clean place to sleep while you visit the area. The room had a microwave, refrigerator, the breakfast was awesome. Room was a very nice size, as was the bathroom. It was perfect for a place to stay while we were visiting family.

A nice hotel for a very good nightly rate. Located along a stretch of road with convenience stores, fast food, gas, and other common facilities. The room was clean and comfortable with a refrigerator and coffee maker. My only negative comment would be that the lighting in the room was somewhat dim, but adequate. Located close to Mount Vernon and Alexandria. I would stay here again if I am ever brought back to this region.

From the moment we stepped into the hotel until we left the hotel we were made to feel at home. The whole staff was friendly and helpful. The front desk people answered every question we had about Washington DC and the surrounding area. The complimentary breakfast was great every morning. The housekeeping staff did a great job every day. I would say the best experience I have ever had staying staying at a hotel. Great job guys!!!????

We checked into this hotel about 5:30 pm. Check in was quick and easy, the clerk was friendly and helpful. The rate for our stay was about $123. Our room, 135, had all new furnishings except for the beds. The beds sagged about 3 inches in the middle. We woke up the next morning with sore bodies. A couple of good things about our room: it was off the street so we didn't hear noise and the water pressure in the shower was great. Breakfast the next morning was a disappointment - microwaved fake scrambled eggs, biscuits, gravy and potatoes, NO meat at all. We'll avoid this hotel if we're in the area again.

When visiting Mt. Vernon, this hotel is an excellent choice. It is one of the closest to the historic home of George and Martha Washington, yet is also near the historic district of Alexandria, VA. It is clean and well-appointed, includes breakfast, and has very comfortable rooms. I would definitely stay here again when in the area.

I have not stayed here yet but made an online reservation and just called the hotel to discuss logistics. The phone was answered quickly and the gentleman spent a good deal of time explaining options to get into DC, the closest metro station, the routes to take and availability of parking. This was very helpful in planning our trip. Looking forward to our stay.

Stacy and the staff were extremely helpful in making our stay enjoyable. Breakfast was great with so many options to choose from. I will definitely stay there again the next time I visit the DC area. The bus stopped near the hotel and it took us to the Metro where we were able to go everywhere. Great job Best Western Staff!

We stayed at the hotel as we visited the beautiful Mt. Vernon. The hotel receptionist was friendly and changed our room from the 4th to the 1st floor for our ease of logistics. The hotel is attractive and our king size bed was clean and attractive. The area has shopping close by and a variety of places to eat. The breakfast includes eggs, sausage, fruit, breads, cereals, and yogurt. We will stay here again.

The overall cleanliness of the hotel was good. Unfortunately the rooms could use some updating. The highlight is the hot breakfast buffet available every morning. We stayed there while we were visiting the Washington DC attractions. A little ride to DC, but worth it considering the price per night.

Thank goodness we only stayed here 1 night. Upon opening the door to our room we all smelled the musky odor. We should have gone back to the front desk to request a different room. Our mistake. The bathroom had what appeared to be mold in the shower and towards the ceiling. It was late so we hit the sack. I had to put a towel and washcloth over my pillow because of the smell. Needless to say none of us sleep great. The hotel was otherwise fine. Again our mistake for not telling the front desk about the problem. Check your room before unpacking!!

When another hotel in the area didn't actually make my reservation I ended up at this Best Western as it was the only hotel in the area with vacancies. The overall appearance of the hotel was somewhat drab and dingy, it felt dirty but that may have just been the dim lighting as there no bad smells. My room was nice, nothing special but everything was clean and there were plenty of cable channels on TV. Free internet is provided, but it was so slow it may be better to not have it. The only off bit in the room was the rod for the shower curtain appeared to have been broken off and refastened, but at an angle so the curtain would slide to the center of the rod and allow water to pour out on the bathroom floor while the shower was running. There was a free coffee machine in the lobby, easy to grab a cup on the way by. The free breakfast was also better than expected. More than a few choices with some healthier options than what I normally see.

The hotel was fantastic! Room was comfy and clean. Breakfast was delicious and free coffee all day was a huge bonus as a coffee lover. The hotel was a few miles from metro station, so travel into DC was easy. Lots of shopping and eating choices are near. I highly recommend this hotel and would stay there again.

We stayed one evening. The room seemed clean. Plenty of towels. Free WiFi. Breakfast was adequate. We asked to cancel our second evening, and they did so without charging us to do it, which was very much appreciated. It was located close to Mt. Vernon, and it was adequate for our needs.

Good rate; below average hotel. Dirty and overcrowded -- not a pleasant experience. Used by local contractors during construction, the parking lot was filled with large work vehicles that took up all the best spots. The only alternative was to park in the dark back near the dumpsters with dining raccoons -- creepy! The refrigerator in my room had enough dust on top to write my name. Outdated and old.

Excellent and thrifty for a brief stay. The staff was friendly, efficient, and professional. The manager went out of his way to assist us. We will stay there again. The location is especially good for a visit to Fort Belvoir.

Excellent location for planning a visit to D.C. Just outside of the city business for a more reasonable nightly rate. Staff is terrific with all of the helpful information needed to purchase bus passes to the city, discount coupons, and touring information. Walking distance to a McDonalds restaurant and bus stop. Ask for Stacie.

The BW Mt. Vernon is a great place to stay if visiting Mt. Vernon, like we did. It is under 10 minutes from Mt. Vernon. The rooms are very clean and the breakfast is plentiful and quite good. The beds are very comfortable. The staff are friendly and genuinely interested in helping you. Just an FYI - there are no restaurants beyond the type of a Subway or or McDonald's within walking distance. There is a nice enough Chinese place, called Peking Duck, that has decent food and a dinner with cocktails about a mile down the road. That's it. If you're there primarily to see Mt. Vernon, I highly recommend this BW. There is a Peruvian place next store with delicious roasted chicken and sides that you can take out if you like.

I was in Alexandria, Va. for the Landmark Advanced class. I booked a room (and yes the cheapest I could find) for the night of June 23rd. When I arrived I found out you get what you pay for. I'll save the rest of that story for the review I am going to write about them. But to make a long story short there was no way I was going to stay there. So I find myself without lodging. By luck just down the road was the Best Western. When I arrived I was greeted by Martha at the front desk. She understand my dilemma and put my worries to rest. She gave me a wonderful room at a very good rate (that included a great buffet breakfast). Her spirit and professionalism was incredible and rare. Thank you Martha for all of your help and for caring. You turned what was becoming an awful day into a great one.

I booked last minute via booking.com. Once I was there I decided to stay a few extra days since I was fascinated by Wahington. Stacey was extremely helpful in arranging a new room and find a very good price. I was totally unfamiliar with the area and the location of the hotel was somewhat further from Washington than I thought (or hoped). ( Ca 1 hour travelling time). However it worked out all right.

Beds are very comfortable,parking is not that great. Breakfast is average eggs potatoes but never no meat ,coffee is OK.maid service is OK staff is very nice .They only have one washer and dryer.i would stay again the rooms are very clean

My experience with this place fell short before it even started. I called with a question about transportation for the area.(7:00am on 6/16/16) And this is how the conversation went. The person that answers the phone mumbles something, not even sure what he was saying. I said excuse me. He mumbles his greeting (???) again. I then say excuse me but I didn't catch your name. Then all of a sudden he gets his voice and snaps at me and says THAT'S BECAUSE I DIDN'T GIVE IT TO YOU!!! So I replied and said, "Well, to whomever I'm speaking to, good morning. I did have a question about your hotel that I needed to book for 6/20/16, but you are very rude, and I will take my business elsewhere. Then I hung up and called another place to stay. So I'm writing this review in a room at your competition. I'll be here for the week, let me know if you can use someone to teach a class in phone etiquette. To those people looking for a place to stay, in my opinion if they're snapping at you over the phone you can only imagine what they would be like in person!!! I choose to go elsewhere.

For the price (in the area...) it was not a bad place to stay, however, it could use a serious upgrade. The room was decent...the staff exceptionally friendly...typical free buffet/waffle maker. However, the Internet service was exceptionally horrendous! Yes, you could connect but I'm talking a quick minute and then down. Be prepared to use your phone as a hotspot! If you are on a budget you could do worst...

We looked for hotels everywhere and found this one at the last minute when we arrived the front desk attendant was extremely helpful considering I made the reservations for the wrong day. He managed to get our family into a spacious and clean suite with a sofa bed for the kids and a king size bed for the adults, the kitchenette was a plus. He also helped us find and make reservations for the following days at a nearby hotel to enjoy and continue on with the rest of our vacation. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

The hotel is just okay. It seems all the hotels in the area are asking about this price or more, so they can get away with overcharging. The computer and printer in the lobby are nice. The lounge chair in the room is nice. The breakfast is okay. The bathroom is old & needs a facelift. There's rust on the ceiling, and under the sink has weird stains that I can't identify. I would try one of the other hotels next time we're in the area.

I'm not certain why, but this Best Western was rated 2 stars when I went searching. We decided to stay regardless since it was close to where we wanted to visit (close is good in the DC area) and it was only two nights. Room was spotless. Bed was the usual Best Western comfort (and the pillows were decent -- I always bring my own). The staff was friendly and efficient. The first night, there was a group of school girls in the rooms around us and I wasn't certain the hallway would ever be quiet. I called the desk. The very understanding and pleasant woman asked me to give them 10 minutes and if things hadn't settled, she would move us. Good.. They did quiet, we didn't move. Perfect. One of the best aspects was that the walls seemed soundproof. Once the "ladies" were in there rooms, we didn't hear a peep ... and I'm certain that the noise continued unabated for a considerable time. We will stay here again.

This hotel is in a safe location and about a 15 minute drive to a metro station. The lobby and rooms were clean and fairly comfortable, although the hotel keeps the lobby and hallway areas very cold. I had requested a top floor room, but when I checked in, they gave me a second floor room instead. I asked if there was anything on the 4th floor, and he scanned the computer for two seconds before telling me no. I found out later this wasn't true at all. I had family members staying at the hotel who checked in after I did, and never requested the 4th floor, but got rooms up there anyway (they had the same room type I did). Unfortunately, the clerk just wasn't very helpful. Anyway, we stayed two nights and it was fine overall. The first night was surprisingly quiet, but the second night our neighbors were loud. Wi-fi connection was very good. The sheets on the bed are thin, so I would have liked a thicker blanket, but at least the bed and pillows were comfortable. Breakfast was okay on the first day, and better on the second. Like any hotel offering breakfast, they had plenty of carb-related foods to go around, but not much for protein. They only had eggs one day (which quickly ran out); thankfully they had both eggs and sausage the next day. The attendant was working hard to replenish the food and it looked difficult to me because of the large number of people having breakfast. Overall, I would stay here again. I was thinking of staying at a higher-priced hotel down the road, but it wouldn't have been worth the extra cost. This hotel is a pretty good value.

Loved this hotel's comfy bed, great breakfast selections and location to historic Mt. Vernon. We came here because it was a short drive from Reagan National Airport. The room was lovely. We really felt at home!

Best Western was perfect for our needs. Located near Old Alexandria and close to metros to DC, with a car, we were able to get around efficiently. We were able to park our car easily each night, found our room clean, received extra towels when needed, and more. Internet was slow and we would have to consistently reconnect, but other than that, we greatly enjoyed our stay and will be back.

Nice clean hotel, a little far from downtown DC. About 15 minutes to Huntington Metro Station, and about 25 minutes to Washington Reagan airport. A few restaurants nearby, within 10 minutes driving distance.

We found ourselves having to unexpectedly stay two extra nights in Virginia. This hotel was accommodating, clean, comfortable and friendly. Hot water was amazing. Breakfast was ok, got us through the morning.

Nice stay. Room was not one hundred percent perfect, but was clean and quiet. There was a large school group there (three busses) but it was still very quiet. I had a problem with the first set of keys to the room, but the staff fixed it right away

We chose this hotel over the Potomac Mills location because it was so near to Frank Lloyd Wright's Pope-Leighy House at Woodlawn, it had a fridge and microwave, and was close to DC for a play we were attending. We were not disappointed. It was very clean. The room has attractive appointments, including a nice arm chair, a wonderfully large fridge, a microwave, attractive art, and a very comfortable bed & pillows. We really liked that the rooms do not face the road so they are quiet. Breakfast is definitely better than the average hotel of this level...warm cooked items of good quality in addition to the usual carb-fest of pastries, cereal, bagels, waffles, etc.. There is a casual Peruvian Chicken restaurant next door that is delicious. The staff was friendly and appeared to be very hard working. Overall we were happy we had stayed here for the trip we had planned.

We really enjoyed our stay at your hotel. It was very convenient. I needed an early check in at 630am which no other hotel could do, and they were able to accommodate me with it. I will be staying here again.

While going up to see my brother and wife on several trips. He has passed from Agent Orange cancer. This hotel is the best in the area for comfort, cleanliness and staff. We used to go to other hotels, trying to save some money. This place is the best, will continue to stay when we are up there again.

This hotel is very close to Washington's home in Mt. Vernon. And is also close to the Metro stations to go into D.C. The room was very nice with large bathroom. Not fancy but clean and comfortable. It is on a busy street but very low noise level. Great large breakfast room downstairs with excellent free hot breakfast. The front desk staff was great with suggestions for restaurants and directions to metro stations and into D.C. The price was very reasonable, especially for the area.

hotel is located close to whatever i needed to see and do.easy access to whole area.My stays at this best western has always been very good.I have stayed there at least 8 times in the last few years.i have enjoyed my stay at this best western.

The hotel is in a nice place and easy to get to. Plenty of shops/stores just encase you forgot something. I do not recommend the breakfast but to go out and enjoy one of the other local places. If I come back I will definitely consider staying here again. This place was close to Washington and the Cherry Blossoms were amazing to see. Well ok, so was the rest of Washington.

Staff seems unprofessional. You can't understand them when they mumble their greeting when they answer the phone. When you complain, there's a defensive response but no apology. The rooms are VERY old. The person I traveled with said there was no hot water after one of us took a quick shower. The covers on the bed are very thin. When we went for the free breakfast, there's no meat (bacon or sausage) to go with eggs or waffles. They kept emphasizing free parking. What motel doesn't have free parking? I've been traveling my entire life. When I give my credit card info, I have NEVER been charged for the room before I even arrived. However, I do realize a hold can be put on my account. PLUS and additional $25 which I have to wait up to 5 business days before my account is credited?! Really? If I don't follow your rules, THEN you charge me, but not before. it was a very unpleasant experience overall. Maybe there'll be renovations soon and they'll get new management.

Okay, there are basically two types of travelers. The first type likes opulence, pampering and AAAA, Diamond, super plus amenities. The second type expects a clean room and a cool bed to lay their heads. We all adjust these two expectations based on budget and reason for traveling. This property fits in to the clean room and cool bed end of the spectrum. The pluses that push it beyond mere bare bones are: Refrigerators in each room. Microwaves in each room. A full breakfast buffet offering a different egg product each day with potatoes biscuits and a meat product. Waffle maker. Above average coffee and a variety of pastry, breads, cereals. The rooms where clean. The staff was friendly. The beds where comfortable. My room was quiet. My only criticism is that the garbage was consistently over flowing in the lobby by the coffee maker. Not a good look. Not a sign of a caring, attentive staff which wasn't how I would categorize my personal interaction with the staff. The overflowing garbage was below them. Also, there was some obvious bad water damage in one of the bathrooms. There's a few properties close by and many in the area. I see no reason to visit any other property

This place wasn't horrible, but wasn't exceptional. Pillows were hard...idk why that sticks out. Breakfast buffet could be better, but it'll do for a free breakfast. The staff were ok. There was nvr a sense of urgency with anything. The was a big coffee spill, and it stayed there for a good ten minutes before anyone got to it. This was while 80 kids were loading on to a bus. So the hallway was really busy. I told the front desk incase they didn't know, and they did they just didnt get around to it yet. Idk safety would've been my concern. I don't usually care about the ice machine, but the ppl I was with did. They only have one on the lower level. Some ppl saw that as super inconvenient. Not too bad, but not the best.

Have stayed here on previous occasions and have alwaysd been pleased with our stay. Rooms clean and pleasant, excellent breakfast offered, friendly helpful staff. Internet seems a bit slow but a pleasant place to stay and will definitely stay on our next trip to Alexandria

I found the accommodations to be most satisfactory & pleasant. Breakfast is included as part of the stay which is a nice add-on to have, it just makes things easier. This hotel is across the street from a shopping center with both a Family Dollar and a thrift store which makes for happy shopping. And, two doors down from the hotel is the city bus stop for a bus that travels into Olde Towne. The fare is $1.80, remember exact change; or, leave a tip as driver does not give change. It takes 30-40 min. for the bus to arrive at the end of the route which is @ the King St./Amtrak/Metro/Free King St. Trolley stop in Olde Towne. Using the bus does eliminate the need to find & pay for parking. During the week, the bus does run fairly frequently, no long waits. Also the Peruvian Chicken Restaurant-Take-Out place right next door to Best Western is a really good place to eat; also, not expensive.

This is a busy hotel with business and site seeing travelers using the facility. Mount Vernon is very close to this hotel and as such many school trip buses use this facility. The hotel was quiet despite the children arriving late at night. Hotel rooms are clean, well designed and quiet. Bedding was above the norm for this type hotel and staff was very helpful. The breakfast was reasonable with only one critique of the equipment used to maintain the oatmeal being a bit out dated and not as hot as it should. The rest of the equipment kept the hot food hot.

This hotel was in a good location. Very helpful staff. Great hotel for a very good rate. The rooms were very quiet even with a group of middle school student staying in the hotel. It was only 6 miles from a Metro with a lot of parking.

Check in was fine but one of the receptionists was on training which slowed it down a little. Room was very comfortable as was the bed. Desk chair was faulty and would not stay at the right level. Bathroom, shower etc were fine. Room had a safe, fridge and microwave. We were heading south and it took a while to make the left turn and in the morning we headed north to avoid a long delay!! A Peruvian chicken restaurant next door and a McDonalds next to that were the closest eating options. Breakfast room was in the basement and a little hard to find. Not a huge selection but liked the chopped fruit, yogurt and raisin bran. Would stay her again.

This hotel offered us the best price, location and highest ratings of the hotels in our budget near Fort Belvoir. We found the facility to be clean and comfortable. It is also very convenient to many other area attractions such as Mount Vernon, the lovely and historic home of George Washington, the Franconia/ Springfield Metro station and picturesque town of Alexandria.

The Best Western Ft. Belvoir was perfect for our visit to the area. It was very convenient to the base and was not extraordinary but since we were not spending much time at the hotel that was just fine. It was very economical and overall a good value. We would stay there again.

Hotel and room clean and welcoming. Desk staff were very helpful recommending travel to DC as we did not wish to drive in. Ten minute drive to a Metro station with park and ride (free to park at weekends). Good breakfast with selection of hot food. Plenty of restaurants and fast food close to hotel. Would stay here again.

This is the second time we stayed at this inn to visit family. Knowing they had the best breakfast you could want last time and the great price we tried them again. Everything was great and the breakfast was super. We ate five breakfasts and they had something different each day. That is now our hotel when we can't stay with the son and daughter-in-law and grandkids. A hot tub would be great but then we would have to find time to use it.

This is one of the best hotels I my wife and I have stayed at. The room was extremely clean. Bed linens were clean no spots. Rug was very clean as well as the bathroom. The only complaint that I would have is the it took over three minutes for the hot water to get to the room. They should have a circulating pump installed on each floor. The breakfast bar had different items on different days. Plenty to eat standard hotel breakfast. Our room was on the front of hotel on second floor facing route one. Surprising the noise level of traffic was a ZERO. Great place

For the price, good value. Hotel was very quite and clean and room was comfortable. 24 hour coffee/ tea and free breakfast in the morning. Only bad thing was the beverage vending machine needed to be filled, it was empty. Maid was efficient in stocking towels.

Room and hotel smelled of cigarette smoke talked to front desk but they did not seem to care, i set a 10 am wake up call and they called me at 8 am, there were other people at the front desk that also complained about the smoke, the front desk did not seem to care. I wont be back nor will i refer anyone

The staff had good customer service. The room was clean. The toilet leaked, it was reported but was not fixed while we stayed there. The breakfast was not very good. This hotel was still a good value compared to the cost of others in the area.

Though the hotel building is rather dated and lacks charm (it is, after all, a simple motel building designed for the age of automobiles), the room was comfortable for a lone traveler. I appreciated having wi-fi and a comfortable chair to sit in. The only drawback was noise; it was very quiet during the night but come morning and the garbage trucks arrived just outside my window, then the food service truck (whose driver had a loud conversation with someone outside my window) and the room cleaning staff had loud conversations up and down the hallway. For the area, the AARP rate was very good.

The hotel acceptable. The bed was quite comfortable. But it is older & in need of refreshing. I have seen several reviews that said the hotel is not clean. That was generally not my experience - however, when something is older, it can seem dirty even when it isn't. It was mostly clean. There was a little mildew on the shower handle - but it was inside the plastic & could never have been removed - that's what I mean about when things are older. I requested a quiet room & was initially given a room right next to a fire door that banged - so they relocated me. Breakfast was OK - nothing to write home about, but fine.

My stay was very good.will stay at best western again the spring of 2016.,and again in fall of 2016.I like the location of the motel it is close to every thing i want to visit.It is close to family and friends,and is not to far to travel to sights.

Great location near Mount Vernon and DC. Staff goes above and beyond to assist you! Very friendly and patient and they have helpful handouts of information. Excellent hot breakfast with hash browns, eggs, pancakes, sausage and all the other usual items. All this for a great price.

We had to make reservations at this inn because all were full it was a nice surprise the rooms were clean and the bed was comfortable Staff were friendly and helpful we enjoyed our stay and slept well we will return

You get what you pay for. Nothing else. I had asked three different desk staff (upon arrival, the next morning, and again at checkout) to arrange transportation to the airport. I "bummed" a ride with a local to the airport.
