    « very nice place »

Hotel was clean, with value added services Would stay again when in the area... Bad too hard ... Good location... Great coffee very nice staff.. It was the perfect fit for our meeting and family needs in that area...

    « Nice Hotel »

The room was quite nice, employees were very accommodating. Breakfast was fair. We will be back to stay at this location. We enjoyed our stay. BW is our new favorite place to stay as we travel in the USA.

    « Cricket Motel »

Disgusting hotel! Room smelled horrible, crickets were all over the room and woke up to one in the bed! Staff yelled at us because we had a service dog for a person in a wheelchair when they don't allow dogs... Do Not Stay Here!

« Very nice room and nice people. »

Very easy access off interstate. Had a good place right next door to eat. Room was clean and attractive. Nice breakfast, not a huge choice of food, but was enough for us. Would stay again when we get in area.

    « 30 year reunion »

We had a blast being back home and the Czech Inn was a perfect place to stay. My bed was sooo comfortable and the view of Texas farm land made me feel right at home. They are having a bad cricket problem, but I was on the 3rd floor and had no issues. We also used their private party room for our dinner. Thank you for your services.

    « Good Stay »

Very nice hotel-right off I-35 , so easy in and out. Breakfast had lots of hot and cold items and choices. Bed was - as usual for Best Western-excellent. Nice clean hotel - recently updated. Would very much recommend.

« West Texas stay over »

As we had a job in Lake Whitney Texas and this was the closest Best Western we stayed in the little town of West Texas just north of Waco. The location was great and the hotel was just what we wanted, Clean quite ans easy to to. As the Best Western is the best brand in the world we always try to stay at there hotels and this was again a very go choice. Good nigh sleep every night.

    « Don't go on a weekend »

We stayed at this hotel on Thursday, Sept. 1st, and it was ok. We left early and did not use their breakfast facilities. We then stopped on our return trip on Sunday, Sept. 4th and left Monday the 6th. We were given a room on the 3rd floor. My husband took our luggage up while I waited in the car to go to dinner. The elevator broke while he was in the elevator. I was once in an elevator that fell, so the hotel moved us to the first floor. In that room I was bitten several times by ants and we had a lizard in the room. The TV did not work. The breakfast was ok as long as you didn't try the stale eggs that were burned to the warming tray. At check-out the clerk thought it was funny when I told him everything that had happened.

« Favorite Hotel Near Waco, For WestFest »

When we recently went to the annual WestFest, we found, months beforehand, that this hotel was already booked, and we had to stay in Hillsboro at a different chain completely. But whenever my husband and I come through to Waco, which is several times a year, we always stay at this Best Western and we love it. It's a very clean hotel with friendly staff and a very hometown feel. The decor is imaginative and fun. As with most hotels, the beds are always way too firm, but the rooms are large and ours includes a small couch and sitting area. The hot breakfast is quite decent, with lots of choices, and of course kolaches. When we have to stay elsewhere, we talk about how much better the Czech Inn is.

    « Westfest weekend! »

Fabulous service, as always. These folks make the whole weekend so easy that we repeatedly elect to stay here rather than bring the RV. The free shuttle to Westfest is just another great service they offer. Thanks Leon and all the staff!

« Quiet, comfortable room - just what we needed! »

My husband and I were driving until we got sleepy, so this was a perfect stop off I-35. The only other customers we ever saw were out in the parking lot - it was that quiet. We never heard anyone in the hall, in the elevator, or in the lobby. The rooms are really big. We had a king bed, which was very comfortable. There was also a couch area in the room. The bathroom was roomy enough where we didn't feel cramped in there at the same time.

    « Visiting dying aunt »

I came into town to see a dying aunt and was thoroughly exhausted after the visit. Hotel employee was quick to get me in a room and breakfast the next morning was great. I love the eggs, sausage and gravy! I had a very quiet restful night.

    « Great Place »

I have stayed at this place through the years. It has always been clean, friendly and enjoyable. The rooms are Big and the Staff have always been Great! The higher end hotels should come here to see how it is supposed to be done.

« A nice surprise just north of Waco »

Very comfortable King size bed. The room and the hotel itself were very clean and well kept. It was almost a 100 degrees outside so the A/C was really important and our room stayed nice and cold. Breakfast was ok, typical of your "free with your room" type breakfast but actually the waffles were excellent! It's not a frilly hotel but we look at how clean a place is, how well we are treated by the staff. I would definately recommend this place to travelers.

    « Pretty nice hotel!! »

We stayed here on our way to the Canton trade days. We were greeted and welcomed. Our reservation made check in very quick. We stayed in one of their suites. Our room was nice and spacious. The bed was comfortable. The room was very clean. The pool was very nice but you have to exit the hotel to access it. Also, bring towels to the pool to dry off. The local pizza place will deliver is you want pizza at during your stay!! The breakfast was good and tasty. The breakfast had a variety of items. I did somewhat expect fresh kolaches from across the interstate. We will definitely stay if back in the area.

« Huge price increase on weekends with Baylor or other activities in Waco »

Internet price for Fri and Sat was $89.99 each night on standard weekend. My wife and grandson checked in for these two nights several weeks later and were charged a total of $396.60 for these same nights. I called to see if it was a mistake and was told due to activity in Waco 15 plus miles away (Baylor home games, Baylor parents weekends, this motel ups it's prices along with Waco's motels automatically. A standard Fri/Sat should be $188 + 35.72 tax =224.70. A Baylor weekend 15 miles away changes this to $332.94 + 62.92 tax = 395.90. My wife should have continued another 14 miles to Hillsboro for regular rates. I would never pay almost $400 for a two night stay in West Texas ever. Travelers please realize this huge price swing and plan accordingly.

    « Rude staff »

Over priced and rude staff when we checked in. Check in is at 4 and they are firm on that. We were in town for a wedding and needed to change before we went no such luck. Got there at 3, but did not get a room until 4:30. $150 a night seemed very high for a BW in this area, but we were with a group so we took it.

    « loud party xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx »

LOST SLEEP HAD TO GET UP AND LEAVE IN MIDDLE OF NITE NOT HAPPY AT ALL AND I PAID OVER A 100.00 DOLLARS FOR THIS .not happy at all so please fire soneone for this i will have to think hard about my next stay a B W think about it darling

    « Best hotel stay »

The hotel and staff are worth the stay here. The price is right, good area, knowledgable staff , good breakfast, clean rooms. Definitely recommend! There is good sit down restaurants in the little town. Right off the highway so convenient for pleasure or business.

    « Nice stay »

We booked this well in advance of the recent Baylor graduation. The hotel is pretty new and is what we expected from a Best Western...not high end but still nice and comes with a decent breakfast. The ride to Baylor from here was easy although about a little less than 20 minutes away. The room was clean and the beds were very comfy. Rates during graduation are higher so being a little farther away allowed us to get a more resonance rate. It is just of I-35 but the room was very quiet. Two gas stations and the famous Czech Stop where you can get awesome kolaches are very that makes it all the more convenient. The bathroom exhaust fan did not work but that did not impact our 4 day stay. The free wifi was weak in our room and I was not able to use my iPad but that was probably a good thing. No odd odors or evidence of smokers..and that was a big plus for me.

    « Almost Perfect »

Everything was superior-staff, rooms, bed, cleanliness, breakfast, location, parking - except for the wi-fi...signal was too weak to reach our room on the FIRST FLOOR! Fix this issue and all will be golden.

« Another Option when Waco hotels sold out »

We were needing a hotel for high school students competing in UIL Academic events and discovered Waco hotels were sold out due to numerous events occurring the same weekend. The Czech Inn was chosen by default, but the commute into Waco wasn't as bad as we feared. The kolaches at breakfast were an added treat as my many of my students had never experienced the pastry that compels many travelers to stop in West. The cost of the Czech Inn was less expensive than comparable hotels in Waco. So, even though we had a 20 minute drive to Waco, it was worth it for the money we saved.

    « a great place to stay »

One of the better breakfast I have had in hotels. it was great. very clean rooms. the lobby area was a little sparce. The tv reception in the room was not good, tv was too small in the lobby area. work out room was limited. no water or towels. swimming pool was dirty

    « good value »

Clean, large double room. Large bathroom. Very convenient location. Hotel staff were very courteous. Did not eat breakfast so can't comment on that. If you come in at night there is a parking lot in back. The one in front is a little small.

    « Best of Times »

A nice place to stop in to experience a little relaxation while in the area. There are several surrounding towns that appear to be worth a visit and take in a little good-old backyard culture, while it still exists.

« Nice, clean, reasonable hotel »

Stayed overnight with family, booked a king suite and double-queen suite. Rooms had microwaves/mini-fridges and sitting areas. The king suite was considerably smaller than the double queen. Rooms, facilities, and grounds were very clean. The ladies working breakfast were very warm and friendly and kept everything fresh and stocked. Location is good-close enough to Waco but significantly less expensive than lodging in town. Conveniently located right next to Slovaceks which has great food and gifts. I highly recommend.

« Nice, clean hotel with friendly staff. »

We make periodic visits to Waco every few months, and I thought it would be less stressful to stop for the night on our way back, rather than driving through the night. I'm glad I did. We chose this location because we like the town of West, with its quaint, albeit distinctly Texan, Czech local flair. The nearby Picha's Family Czech-American Restaurant is one of our stops. Our room was on the second floor directly above the lobby, which meant our view was completely obstructed by the portico in the front of the hotel. That being said, there is not much to see as the property faces Interstate 35. I thought the highway noise would be a problem, but our room was very quiet. This hotel offers a complimentary breakfast, buffet-style, in the central dining area on the first floor. It starts at 6:00 and lasts until 9:30 or so. I particularly enjoyed a Texas-shaped Belgian waffle. The dining room is lined with antique petrol pumps that are not only for display purposes but may actually be purchased. Our room, aside from having no view, was roomy and comfortable. The king-sized bed was very firm, and our room had a small refrigerator and a tiny microwave oven. A single-cup coffee maker in the bathroom kind of made me laugh. I think the hotel could provide slightly better linens. We didn't have a blanket for the bed, but it wasn't worth calling housekeeping about it. Also, the bath towels are a bit small. Larger guests may consider bringing their favorite towel from home. Overall, I would recommend this hotel. It is reasonably priced, convenient, and clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful. There is a lovely bucolic scene to the rear of the hotel, as it is adjacent to a cattle ranch of some sort. It is Texas, after all.

    « very good stay »

was very surprised at the quality of this hotel. Very clean room and comforatble bed. Friendly staff and even great breakfast. Would highly recommend. Breakfast staff even started early for us so we could get on the road. Spoke to us when we left and showed such good customer service. will stay here again.

    « Consistently Above Average »

I have stayed at the Czech Inn at least five times over the years and have found it with well appointed rooms at reasona ble rates. Cleaniness is superb and the complimentary breakfast is always above average, including kolaches. Convenience stores, fast food places, and Czech bakeries are in walking distance . A great place to rest after battling I-35.

    « poor WIFI »

Our first room was on the 3rd floor and furtherest from elevator.WIFI did not work although management said they had just spent $850 for upgrade. Moved us to a first floor room on 2nd day and Wifi was acceptable. Breakfast was very good and staff helpful. Would stay here again

« Overall a nice place to stay »

We stayed here for an anniversary weekend and were very pleased overall. The hotel itself was quiet and well kept, but the location (near the freeway and just a few blocks from train tracks) makes it a bit noisy. I would recommend asking for a room on the back side of the hotel although I can't attest to how much that will help - I just know freeway and train noises woke us up quite a bit on the front side. The decor is neat and updated and my only complaint about the room is that it would be nice to have a small nightlight or glowing outlet/switch near the bathroom since it is pitch black in the room at night. The breakfast was good - there were eggs, sausage patties, toast, waffles, cereal, yogurt, muffins, kolaches, and fruit available every morning. On some mornings there were also bacon, biscuits and gravy, and sausage links available. There was also coffee, milk, and a variety of juices available every day. If none of that tickled your fancy, there is the Czech bakery across the highway or Slovacek's next door - both offer a large variety of pastries and kolaches (both the fruit kind and the meat kind). Overall we had a very pleasant stay and would recommend it to others and would stay again ourselves.

Room set-up like a 5 star hotel room. There was plenty of room to stretch out in the Super Plush King size bed, extra large bathroom with wide shower, and in room seating area. Plenty of cable TV and SPORTS channels to choose from. This room was well stocked with all the amenities I needed. There were 2 extra seating areas in the room for internet use and relaxing on the sofa. The sofa was also a pull out bed, which was comfortable and also clean!!! I was impressed at the price upon check-in but blown away by the service and the room. Gorgeous lobby, friendly staff, Fresh, clean, comfortable, spacious, lots of dining choices, EXCELLENT!

    « Great Experience! »

Stayed there about a month ago and had a wonderful experience. Was searching for rooms in the area and this was one of the few that did not raise their prices as a result of the football game and convention. The front desk staff were particularly amazing - friendly, helpful, accommodating. The rooms are updated, clean, and met all my expectations. Great place to stay.

    « Good Hotel »

I stayed here overnight while in town for a funeral. The front desk staff was amazing! I could not have asked for a more friendly, understanding, and, accommodating experience. This was the only hotel in the area that did not raise their prices due to a popular football game and convention in town. I got one of the last rooms available and it ended up being an accessible room. That wasn't a big deal to me. The room and bathroom was clean and the bed was comfortable. There was a hot breakfast the next morning that included kolaches. This was a nice hotel, and would definitely stay again when I return to the area.

« Great Value and excellent staff! »

Staff was efficient and helpful. Breakfast was excellent and the facility was clean quiet. We had a total of four rooms and all were perfect. in all respects. The air conditioning was quiet and temperature was perfect.

« Hidden Gem North of Waco »

Great hotel location outside of Waco. No traffic, easy access on and off 35. Staff was friendly and made you feel welcome. Nice rooms with frig and microwave. Breakfast area was very large and could accommodate a number of guests at once Hotel is located next to a nice service station (south of hotel) that had all the snacks a couple of football fans could want.

    « winter texan »

you've got to sleep in there beds they are the most comfortable, haven't had that good of a nights sleep in a very long time. the pillows were so fluffy and staff got you what you needed when you needed it

    « A few observations »

I would have preferred having a flatter pillow, don't do well with high, puffed up ones. I checked with desk, and they said there were none. Also, potato cakes were really dried out. The staff were very friendly and helpful, as much as they could be. But, overall very nice, clean and no noise!

« A New Kid On The Block »

Hotel appears to be new and all presented as it might have been "right out of the box"....Lots of space in each room that was kept very clean and well presented. Employees very friendly and informative when requesting directions, local attractions and projected weather.

    « Great hotel »

This hotel in West Tx was a great find. The price was beyond great and everything was new. Staff was accommodating and helpful. Nothing bad about the hotel but limited places to eat on a Monday night in West.

    « A great port in a storm »

We went up for a homecoming game in Waco during one of the worst rain storms ever. It was great to find our hotel easily and to hunker down. Even though we were 20 minutes out of town we will use this hotel again.

« Out of the way GREAT hotel »

This hotel is a little out of the way, but it is right off I-35 which gives you excellent access to central TX. Hotel was clean, quiet, very comfortable. We especially appreciate the added sofa bed in the room. The BBQ restaurant at the gas station next door was an added bonus.

    « Weekend trip »

The place is okay. It looks clean until you drop your phone and you see all the dust, dirt and old pop bottles under the bed. The desk staff is okay. It always seems like you are bothering them with you questions about what to do. With a town as rich in history as West is, I really don't think they should be selling Waco like it's the be all end all. The desk is on their phone all the time. Breakfast was good. The eggs were rubbery, but that could have been because it was late. I wanted a good hometown hotel, but feel I got the same experience as my friends did in Waco. What's worse, is I paid more than my friends staying at the Holiday Inn (??????) And they say they have free wifi, but it was so bad.

« An Elegant and Classy Place »

Driving through this beautiful small town of West, with its Czechoslovakian Heritage and a little tired from the 5 hour drive my wife Jennifer and I decided to pull into the first Best Western we saw. This Best Western was a Beautiful Experience at my first pull in. The hotel staff was so nice and extremely pleasant and humorous and informative. This place has a display like an antique museum with all the classic 30's and 40's Chevy cars 5 cent coke machines and much more.

« Very Cute Hotel with large rooms »

We arrived at this hotel at the end of a very long road trip with 4 children! We were very pleasantly surprised with the large and clean rooms and the comfortable beds. The breakfast was very generous with real eggs (not reconstituted), sausage, yogurt and many other items as well as fresh pastry. We rented two rooms, and one was the two-king suite. This room was HUGE - as large a an apartment with one king bed in a different bedroom and an enormous living area. We loved the old time 50's décor in the lobby and breakfast area. Anyone with a large family will really appreciate this place.

    « Just like home »

We stay at Czech Inn because of the location. It is near my home town and the annual Westfest in West, Texas. The staff is very friendly and helpful. There is a good breakfast every morning which is already included in the price. Hotel is very close to I 35.

    « Excellent »

    - Spacious and well presented rooms - reception staff were lovely and welcoming, informative on local area - good selection for breakfast - nice, well maintained fitness area - easy access to the main roads and lots of parking available - comfortable beds and clean linen Would definitely stay again and recommend!

    « Kindest people I've met »

West is known for its friendly and welcoming people, and the folks at the Czech Inn are a shining example of that kindness. My family suffered a loss this past weekend, and we needed to stay in West. The folks there were so compassionate, so kind, that I will never forget the welcoming and comforting way they cared for us. I left my expensive toothbrush and shower gel in my first room, and a few days later asked if anyone had found them. Most places would have tossed them out right away, but not at the Czech Inn: they individually wrapped my items and placed a note on them not to toss them out. Who does that anymore?! They are excellent. Rooms are spacious, sofa beds were comfy, the beds were amazingly comfy, and the included breakfast had real eggs, gravy, real sausage (2 kinds), potatoes, yogurt, etc, and even make-your-own Texas-shaped waffles! Seriously, Czech Inn staff, thank you. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. -the Hill family.
