"nightmare on Hartman Lane"

I'm going to have to say that this is one of my worst Best Western stays. I had submitted my reservation on line and requested a top floor. Front counter staff began to give me a room, on the first floor. I aked if there wasn't anything open on the top? Yes, there was & she didn't see that request. BUT, here's some serious issues. The white bedspread had two brown marks on it and one brown mark on the bathroom wall. That's just wrong. There were two towels and one hand towel and one coffee cup. My husband cleaned the mark on the wall. I went down and told the 'manager' .. afer I was able to have him remove his ear buds that I needed hand towels and the bed covering. I was given 2 washcloths and handed another quilt. I only needed the cover. Basic cleaning would be nice. . Fill the dispensers in the shower. Then, I know using the washer and dryer are at your own risk. Sad to say, no lie. My load didn't complete all the settings, which lead to soap stuck on my clothes and a soapy water mess on the floor. My husband went down to report it. He was given rags to get started on the issue. Right... rags so 'we' can clean the floor. When he came up, he saw my husband was on the floor wiping it, I was mad and told him that I'll do another wash of $2.00. He looked at the situation, said "oh" and left. He had his ear buds in probbly 98% of the time. Very unprofessional. I had to wait for him, as he continued talking on the ear buds. The only time he didn't have them in was when he came up to the laundry room. So, get housekeeping some training and have follow ups. Management ... just overall he needs a lot of help/guidance/ etc. If this was my first stay at a Best Western I would not stay at another. Nightmare stay for us.

We brought our two granddaughters to spend the night and play in the pool. Everything in the hotel was very clean and impressive. The lady at the front desk, Lesley, was extremely friendly and helpful.

Well the wife and I were in the area for a funeral for her Aunt. I had checked most all hotels in the area and this one had the best reviews to be found. Therefore I booked the stay here . It was further away than most of the others, but the reviews won me over. The stay was excellant and the room was definetly fantastic for the price.

Very clean. Very modern hotel. I was allowed a slight early check in upon request for small fee. Many amenities close by . Highly recommend. Easy commute to NOLA and Baton Rouge. Extremely knowledgeable and Pleasant staff!

"Great Value For Price"

The hotel is conveniently located off of I-12. The building is new and the rooms and public areas are well decorated and modern. The internet service is reliable and fast. We were able to watch Netflix shows without a problem. The staff were extremely nice and helpful. This hotel is a great value for the price.

The motel was very clean and the staff super friendly and willing to help. There were several little league teams which made getting into the breakfast area impossible for it is small, but other than this I would gladly recommend and stay there again.

The only issue was the workout room equipment not working g otherwise great stay. Located in town but back off the busy road, kids loved the pool, room was clean, service was great. Kids enjoyed the breakfast as well. Everyone was very helpful and with a dmile9. I would stay here again.

"Good for an overnight stop"

The hotel appears clean inside and out, and generally kept well. The room was clean and neat. The quality of hot breakfast selections seemed below average for a Best Western hotel, but had multiple choices. The only real negative was that the pool appeared dirty looking down from a 3rd floor room, and the light in the pool was hanging loose in the water, which could present a potential safety hazard.

"Bad Management"

I've stayed at this hotel once before and the experience was nice, but the second time I checked in, the nightmare began. I checked in around 4pm on Saturday 11 May 2019. Desk clerk was nice. Went to room, dropped off my bag (2 mins) then headed out to spend the evening with family. Came back to the hotel around 7pm and could not get into the room. Went to the desk (same clerk) and she gave us another key. Still didn't work, she suspected something wrong with the lock. She called the Manager (out of town 5 hrs away) who gave her instructions on how to check the lock and fix it. No luck. At this point, I'm about an hour late on taking my medications. I sat in the lobby while the clerk was scrambling to resolve this issue. While sitting in the lobby, there were folks who came down to complain that their television was not working and this was the second time that someone tried to fix it. I asked the clerk if there was any maintenance person on site or that could come in to resolve the issue. There was not. I got on the phone with the manager who told me that I could not get my stuff until 9AM the next morning. I told him that would not be satisfactory, that I needed my meds and I was suppose to leave at 6AM to go back to Florida. He told me if my meds are not life or death, that it would have to wait til 9AM. So at this point, I guess they do not have any maintenance person or other person who can fix the lock so I can get my stuff. I told the manager that I was not going to stay at this hotel tonight as I had enough of trying to work things out and that I was going to call the police to see if we can find other means to get my property out of the room. I called the local police to see if they might "encourage" the manager to get a locksmith to resolve this issue. The police talked to the manager and asked about a locksmith. The manager indicated that a locksmith could not resolve the issue but he would be in at 11PM to resolve it. At this point, it is about 9:30PM. The police told me to come back around 11PM to pick up my stuff. I said ok and told the desk clerk that I did not want to be charged for this room as they could not provide me the services that I was paying for. She said she would talk to the manager when he came in. I got a call around 10:45PM that someone came in (from another shift) who was able to get the lock resolved and that I could come get my property. They gave me a key to go to the room, I retrieved my bag, gave the key back to the desk clerk, and again stated that I did not want to be charged for this room. The manager was not there at 11PM, just the original clerk and the person who was able to resolve the lock issue. I contacted my bank to let them know that if a charge came on my card for this hotel, I was going to dispute it. I am currently in the process of doing this. I felt that management did not want to resolve the issue in a timely manner and that my needs for my medication were not important. There are several hotels in the area that are clean, so I will no longer stay at this location due to bad management with no contingency plan to take care of the customer's needs.

This hotel charged my card a month later for a room change that we made a month ago. The person who called said that it was because the room we changed to was a different price. So asking for a different room because of uncleanliness means that we get charged extra a month later. Don't stay with these people unless you want to get scammed a month later.

This hotel far exceeded my expectations. I travel a lot with and without my family, but have never stayed at a Best Western. The staff members were courteous and accommodating, the breakfast had a variety of hot foods to choose from (I really appreciated them having a dairy-free milk option for breakfast because most hotels that offer a continental breakfast do not offer it), and the fitness room had what I needed. The only issue I encountered was difficulty finding adequate parking as the hotel was obviously at max capacity. That small inconvenience was not enough to deter me from staying there if I'm ever in the area again though. Fantastic stay and value especially considerinf the price.

"Very Nice travel hotel for the price"

Wife and I usually stay at Best Western hotels as we travel. The Best Wester Plus in Walker, La. looked as if it was quite new. The hotel, rooms, and outside area were all in pristine shape. At less than $75, our overnight stay was very good. Wifi was great in our room and in the breakfast room. The front desk person was extremely friendly, even though it was late, about 10:00PM when we arrived. Checkout was efficient, and the standard BW breakfast was as good as usual. The Breakfast Room lady was also very nice. It was apparent that Customer Service is a value hotel management directs their staff in. Highly recommend this hotel, and we plan to stay there on our return trip home to Texas when our vacation in Florida is done.

Hotel was very clean. Looked very new. The lady that helped check us in was very nice and even helped us to our room. She saw that I was alone with 3 small children so she even helped me take my luggage directly to my room. She told me if I needed anything else to let her know. My daughter loves her milk cup at night and we didn't stop for any so she went to the kitchen and gave me a cup of cold milk for my baby. Super sweet! I have never had such great service!! Would stay again!

Great little place, nice staff, off the interstate, clean, good wifi... AC works great...nice little pool. Card access at both ends of the building, covered area to load and unload. I experienced no Interstate noise during both my stays.

"Do Not Stay Here!"

Warning, do not stay here. My family and I stayed here on our way back from vacation. We found bed bugs in the room. We brought the live bug we found down to the front desk to show them. We also took pictures of them in the couch. The woman, Lesley, was shocked and called the manager. After she called we were told there was nothing she could do although she was willing to. She took our name and number to give to the manager when he came I the next day. The manager called and offered a 20.00 discount and some reward points. He was very rude and unprofessional during our talk. I explained that if we ended up having to treat our home for bed bugs because of this I would be sending him the bill. He said he didn't care he would just quit and go to work at another hotel so he didn't have to deal with it. This is not acceptable considering bed bugs are a health concern to everyone. I am still waiting for an acceptable.outcome to this situation. I recommend that if you are in the area, stay away. Find somewhere else to stay. You don't want to take them home with you.

Hotel looks like an old La Quinta from outside. But lobby was very nice and modern. Nice coffee/ tea bar, but bold coffee empty entire visit. Con, no luggage carts only two small airport style carts thus we had to make many trips traveling with children. Room was large and ok. Air conditioner worked well. Nice towels and bedding. Tried to use pool which was a rather depressing area with a nasty smell that we soon realized was a toilet that overflowed much earlier with feces. After getting in pool I realized that the large light and attached cords on deep end were loose and in water. I removed my children from pool and informed front desk. I was concerned since the incident a year or so ago when the Dad and son were electrocuted in a hotel pool. Front desk assistant stated he was busy and he would inform someone next day? I asked if he was aware it could be a problem and he seemed unconcerned. Worst part of visit! At eight o'clock we went to breakfast and there was a scarcity of food. People had been waiting we were told. Tried to make waffles but there were no plates, no butter, no knives and no regular syrup. Asked if there were eggs and were told they were being warmed 30 minutes later when a new girl came on she said she was getting things. She finally brought out eggs and sausages but they were ice cold. She did finally put out plates and silverware. This is wrong, do not advertise breakfast. We are going to give up on Best Western!

This hotel is very up to date and nice! BUT.... you can hear every person in the hallway and every person next door. The doors are heavy doors and slams when someone closes them. If you like firm beds then you will like these. I require a soft bed because of hip pain and hurt all night because of the bed being so hard. Just remember ask for a bed at the end of the hall! I do have to say the clerk at the desk was super nice!

We stopped overnight on our road trip. We made last minute online reservations for 2 rooms and didn't arrive until after 9:00 pm. Crystal at the front desk was very friendly and had our keys and paperwork ready for us to make check in as quick as possible. We were able to get 2 rooms next to each other which was nice. The hot breakfast offerings were not the best we have had at BW, but there were waffles and the coffee was good.

Great hotel but very loud the doors of the rooms are made out metal and we can hear doors opening and close our whole stay.. the hotel staff is nice and the hotel is very clean I would recommend staying there for pleasure but if you are trying to rest stay somewhere else

We had a bit of a challenge finding the hotel, as it is well-hidden behind the La Quinta on Hwy 447; we trusted google maps and it did not let us down (this time, haha). Check in was uneventful and quick, as I had used the Hotel Tonight app and already paid. The hotel seemed nice and clean and very quiet—the heavy doors shutting behind us were quite loud and lacked weather-stripping or other to keep them from hanging. The room was nicely renovated and the king-sized bed was comfy. Tile floor in the entry and bathroom and carpeting around the bed. There was an easy chair and ottoman that my husband immediately gravitated to while he got caught up on a little news. At 3am we had a little kurfluffle that was not about the hotel and I hung the do-not-disturb sign on our door to make sure that if we slept in a bit we wouldn't be disturbed. We woke at 7:30 and enjoyed the continental breakfast in our room—decent coffee, an egg/sausage sandwich and a crispy waffle with yoghurt and syrup. Yumm! Now the somewhat odd part begins—at 9:30am there was a knock on the door (despite the do-not-disturb sign). I was at the sink and couldn't answer, so I said, “Hello?” The housekeeper said, “Are you checking out soon?” I confirmed that we were, not having the wherewithal in the moment to say that yes, we would be checking out by 11am. At 10am I called the front desk and told the man who answered that I had spilled a little bit of tea on the bed and hadn't been able to scrub it out of the white cover laid on top of the blanket. He said ok. I said that I expected housekeeping could bleach it out and then I said I was sorry. And receive Silence. I said, “Hello?” He said, “ARE you checking out today?” I replied that we were and still didn't hear a normal response back from him so I said goodbye and hung up. Hunh. I have no idea what the situation was with these two people, why the oddness, intrusiveness and awkwardness. It left me with a weird taste in my mouth, frankly, and that's why I could only give 4 stars. But the room, setting, pleasant night clerk, and price were all quite nice and definitely rate all 5 stars. There is also a wonderful Lebanese restaurant a half block away that we really enjoyed too—we shared the vegetarian platter of hummus, falafel, grape leaves, mousaka, and spanakopita, with olives, pita bread and sauces on the side. Delish! My Hub added 1/4 lb of gyro meat and had left overs for lunch the next day. Nice place and convenient location. ??

The Best Western in Walker, LA is a super clean, comfortable hotel where the staff makes you feel right at home! The rooms are spacious, clean and the beds are super comfortable. The Wi-Fi is exceptional and there is a fitness room. The breakfast selection rivals that of the Hampton Inn. Would highly recommend this stop on your journey.

Spent 7 nights during which clientele went from few to no vacancy. Staff were always friendly and accommodating regardless of the pressure they were under. Entire hotel was always clean but ventilation fan in bathroom did not work. For us, with family in the area, the location near the highway was good for vising and touring/sightseeing.

Our reservations were messed up. We booked 2 nights in a double suite and they had us down for 1. Our options were to move rooms after day 1, or just switch to a single king with sleeper. So we just switched rooms. Shortly after arriving, I inspected the sleeper sofa bedding and noticed a crusty stain in the center of the sheets. It appeared to be some type of bodily fluid. I stripped the bedding and promptly brought it to the front desk. The associate was helpful and said a manager would contact me, that never happened. My kids could have slept on sheets that were obviously soiled and not changed. If a manager would have contacted me my opinion may be different. However, I will never stay here again nor recommend this location.

The hotel itself is phenomenal. Great location, friendly staff, gym, pool, laundry, and a full breakfast. My only complaint goes against area not hotel but directly relates. The traffic to get off at the Walker exit on 12 eastbound at rush hour has been a mess. They start merging off a mile back and you'll wait twenty minutes to reach the hotel. The location is pretty far from the city, but has ample eateries nearby.

A very pleasant stay to visit family. The flood devastation in this entire area is still very apparent, however this hotel is immaculately maintained. The rooms, common areas and breakfast room spotless! Staff all go far out of their way to be cordial and accommodating. I love Best Westerns and this is certainly a top notch one! Will always choose it when visiting the Walker, LA area.

Very nice new hotel. Service was awesome. Front desk was extra helpful, even took time to help my husband fax an important document. The housekeeping staff was awesome, making sure we had plenty of towels and amenities. And, the price we paid was more than fair. We plan to stay here if we are in this area again.

This Best Western was a really nice place to stay. It is located right off of the highway and close to several food locations. It is a new location and everything is set up really nice inside. The room I stayed in was HUGE and was only a 1 king room. The staff was great and breakfast was fresh and delicious. If driving through I would definatly recommend.

Located about 24 miles from Baton Rouge, and 24 miles from Hammond, this 3 story hotel was clean and well maintained with ample parking. Our experience was a quiet overnight in a well decorated and comfortable large room with amenities. Staff were professional and courteous with a large breakfast area as well as a business area. A private party room added to the lobby experience that provided seating/tables for being entertained

This is one of the nicest hotels I have stayed. The staff were very helpful, courteous and very pleasant. The room was amazing with a very comfortable bed. Everything was first class. The breakfast was awesome with eggs, sausage, cereal, assorted breads, muffins and rolls. They had someone making the waffles - some with chocolate chips, banana and nuts and she was great!!

Fast checkin. Well staffed. Clean room. Standard breakfast with attractive points for meal display. Beds comfortable. Was concerned shower would not be hot enough but after letting run a bit it was good. One of those places I wish we had more time to enjoy. Would recommend ask for upstairs room AWAY from elevators and maids stockroom. We booked online and checked this specific request but it was not what we got and we were too tired to go back downstairs to change. The next morning sleeping in was interrupted by maids/elevator etc. I'm a clean-freak so also would recommend to management someone use a vacuum crevice tool around all the carpet edges. There was noticeable buildup of debris in hallways. Yes. Would stay again.

We booked one of the suite rooms and it was so spacious with a large sitting area with a couch and chair separate from beds. We travel here twice a year for softball tournaments and use to stay at the LaQuinta but never again after staying here. It's a really new hotel and very clean and the staff was wonderful with all of us. The free breakfast was great every morning to start the day and the location is great with a Walmart and many places to eat close to the hotel. We will definitely be back!!

Had a great 2-night stay at this hotel, which is in a small town right outside of Baton Rouge. It's a newer hotel and is still very clean and modern. The rooms are large, and mine was very clean and smelled nice. No stains or dust anywhere. The staff was really friendly upon check-in, check-out and even at breakfast (they do have a free hot breakfast which was nice). The only complaint I have is that my room was right next to employee work rooms and the elevators on the second floor, so I was woken up at 6:00 am each morning due to the housekeepers being loud and elevator traffic. Just don't stay in a room near the elevators and you will be golden. Also, free wireless internet was fast and there are big HD TVs with cable in the rooms. I would stay here over anywhere in Denham Springs.

After receiving the front desk managers response how I was accommodated the next morning...I thought a review was needed. I had a suite with 6 of us all girls 4 children....and NO TOWELS I went to the desk and asked for towels and he told me he did not have any and could not get any access to any clean towels. Housekeeping took all of our dirty towels that morning.... they didn't think we would need to shower again ??? So after hours in the humid heat of a swamp tour and the busy muddy streets of Nee Orleans we came back to the hotel wanting to take a nice shower and get clean but unfortunately we were not able...very very disappointed.

My daughter and I stayed at the Best Western in Walker and had a very good experience. It is a new hotel so it was clean and had a nice lobby. The staff was friendly and professional. The WIFI was very fast, too. The hotel is smoke free so all the smokers were out in the parking lot. My only complaint was that there was no designated smoking area outside for them. It almost felt like a bar parking lot. Other than that it was very good.

The hotel is fairly new but I found it disappointing for several reasons. I have travelled widely in the US and internationally but now am a retiree. As a senior traveler on a fixed income, I have found Best Western a hotel that is clean with reasonable price, decent accommodations, comfortable beds. Rarely have I been disappointed, but this hotel just did not measure up. The décor is not warm and inviting- it felt sterile and cold to see. There was no clock in the room which I found odd. However, the problem that was most upsetting was I was told at check in I had to sign a paper okaying a charge of $50 in addition to the room charge (which they said would be credited in 2-3 business days if I didn't damage the property). While I have sometimes seen notes or read on the statement that I would be charged if I smoked in a non-smoking room or broke the TV or stole something, I have never had the charge to my card made at check in. Had I arrived earlier in time to cancel without having to pay for the room, I would have left, never to return. However, I arrived around 6 after 10 hours of driving in rainstorms and traffic jams so that was not an option. Learning this at this point was distressing. When I questioned it I did not get an explanation as to why this hotel does this when no other BW I have used before does. Also, the elevator was quite dirty with dirt built up in the tracks of the elevator door as well as obvious dirt on the floor there. . As a platinum BW member, I was not acknowledged at all which is supposed to happen. . At check out, I was not asked if I had a good stay. I could hear traffic from my room as well. Very disappointing stay

Check in was a breeze; was greeted with a smile and desk clerk took care of me in a timely manner. Elevator and halls seemed very clean. Carpet looked fresh and well kept. Upon entering the room I was at awe with the size. The room was very clean and bed was conferrable. I got a great night sleep. I will be staying at this property again. This is the 2nd time we stayed here. The 1st time was a lil disappointing to us. The breakfast lady was very rude and down right mean. The 2nd time a new breakfast lady was really nice and very helpful with everything. She worked very hard and very clean. Her name is Miss Gina had to tip her she is a keeper. The rest of the staff was awesome also. We will be back.

My brother and I were in Walker area for a funeral. Found online that there was a flood in the area last Fall and a lot of Motel/Hotels were still making repairs. Everything at the Best Western we saw was repaired. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Nice walk-in shower, nice layout of the room and bathroom. We are both senior citizens and the rooms meet all our needs. Staff was pleasant and helpful. Would definitely recommend this hotel to any travelers in the area.

When I checked-in, I went to my room and I could LITERALLY push the door open without using my room key. The deadbolt lock was out. I was traveling alone so I was a little uneasy about entering my room. I entered anyway and checked everything out to make sure no one was in there. When I walked into the bathroom, I discovered that there was no shower curtain. I called to the front desk to inform her and she said she would bring a curtain to my room. Twenty minutes had passed and she had not made it to my room yet. So, I went to the front desk and had to wait for her to return. Needless to say that I was not pleased and requested to be placed in another room.

Breakfast attendant was Crystal and we could not have asked for a more attentive, courteous and extremely pleasant hostess. This made our morning start out so fresh. The dining ares was very clean and neat, fresh smelling and all foods ready for everyone at all times. It was such a peaceful stay. Just to walk to breakfast with Renee was so awesome and like talking to family and all employees at front counter were great, always smiling and speaking to you. The bed was very comfy with plenty of pillows. My family was close by so they were able to let daughter come and swim in the evening. Just wished other guests respected the property more because there were alcohol glass bottles left out late at nite.

The property has recently been remodeled and is in excellent condition. The front-desk personnel was friendly and supportive. The property was like a new hotel. We did have a real bad experience with one employee that left a bad taste with us. The issue was with the employee who takes care of the breakfast area, she was down right RUDE if you asked for something be ready to get yelled at or have the door slammed at you and be ready for her to run off and leave you standing there. We are not very picky but when you ask for a coffee cup lid or for more waffle batter and she tells you she hates customers and slams the door and goes out of the building, something is seriously wrong. I guess the bottom line is eat breakfast somewhere else!!!

We absolutely loved our stay! Hope was very helpful & one of the sweetest desk clerks I've ever dealt with! We will be staying at your hotel again in early June. Breakfast bar is great with a god variety of items! Excellent place to stay!

We have extended family in the Walker area, so we make occasional visits to the town. We have now stayed at both of the major chain motels in the town and we're happy that both are good choices. This visit, we decided to stay at the Best Western Plus, which was still under construction on our previous visit. The lady at the desk at check in was friendly and helpful. We had a first floor "King with shower" room for two nights. We'd never reserved a room described that way before, but as we suspected, there is a full-sized shower without a tub. We actually prefer this arrangement, especially with the grab bar, but wish they'd added a small shelf in the shower. There's no place to put your soap or shampoo, unless you can get it to balance on the shower door handle. The only towel bar in the room is the outer shower door handle. The fresh towels were stored, rolled up, in a wooden box above the toilet. There's a fair amount of free wall space in the bathroom, but no place to hang damp towels. (Also true at the lavatory.) The HVAC system worked quietly and well and it has a wall-,mounted thermostat, which we like. The TV and wi-fi both worked very well. We'd visited late and hoped to sleep in the following morning. We didn't bother getting up for breakfast, but were awakened by housekeeping. There was no "Do not disturb" sign furnished. The lady at the desk at checkout was friendly, as well. Overall, it was a good stay. We'll base future stays primarily on price, since both options are pretty good..

There was a small pool of water on the bathroom floor of our room from an apparent small leak. We reported the leak to the front desk and they immediately moved us to another room to take care of the leak. Asked us every day if we needed anything. (We stayed four nights.) Breakfast is typical.

"Flea infested room"

Our room was infested in fleas. Our daughter was bit multiple times and had to be taken to a Doctor when we returned back to Dallas. I was promised a refund would be mailed to me but it never happened. I incurred over $300 in Doctor bills and over $200 in prescriptions due to my daughter having an allergic reaction to the bites. I never asked for compensation for any of the medical bills or prescription costs only what was promised which was the refund on my room. I was lied to over and over again by management. They do not return phone calls and make broken promises. I have contacted an Attorney and Will Pursue legal actions if they do not comply with the promise made to me by Dec. 2 2016 which will be 60 days. My Attorney has advised me to not hold my breath that they will comply and to prepare to file against them. So I'm guessing $338.23 is worth a lawsuit, bad reviews, and having your company name drug through the mud.

We stayed one night after attending a relative's wedding. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel is still being renovated, but what they have done so far is beautiful! The parking was an issue, but we think that's a result of the massive flooding that occurred here and they are allowing many people to use their lot. There were lot of police vehicles parked at the hotel, so they must be helping out the community. In any case, we were told to park in spots that are normally not parking areas. The staff was very nice about it. I would absolutely recommend this hotel!

Reasonable rooms in BR hard to find since flood in August. This is a great value and opened in March. Working on flood damage on first floor but other floors open and rooms very nice. Website needs major updating and not accurate. Book directly with hotel. No special rates. Breakfast lite. We found it a little hard to find also. Tucked behind Laquita at corner.

The on duty manager Mr. Kendrick was very rude and lacked customer service in every aspect. During my phone call on 8/31/16 he hung up in my face twice and did not provide the information that I requested. NO matter how great facilities are I will NEVER stay at a place that dosent respect their guest or even care to treat them with common courtesy. Would never recommend to anyone.

This place is great! Friendly service, nice pool, decent breakfast, modern decorated comfortable room, clean and new! There's nothing much in Walker, La, but if you need to stay the night somewhere safe, family friendly, clean, and reasonably priced drive past Baton Rouge to Walker and stay here!!

We stayed one night here last week. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. The hotel was very clean and well decorated. The beds were comfortable. It is near shopping and places to eat. Would definitely stay here again.

This is a nice new establishment. Great value and location. Just off 12 to the East of Baton Rouge. Lovely place to stop with a family. Spacious rooms and awesome breakfast. Security and well lit parking. Comfy beds and big rooms. Friendly staff.

Highly recommended!!! Brand new hotel. Great location, near gas station, restaurants, and the interstate. I could not have chosen a better place to stay. I have become a gold rewards member and I am a happy Best Western customer.

Jay at the front desk and the girls in the breakfast area ensured our stay was delightful, and seemed to actually enjoy being helpful. The Hotel is brand new, as well as everything in it, the pool area was pleasant and the exercise room had far more than you would expect. Truly a great value.

room keys never worked room didn't lock when we left for the day, elevators broke for the whole weekend. they charged the wrong credit card. sunflower seed shells and froot loops by our window on day one. busy holiday weekend and they refused to turn on both waffle machines.

For one of the most comfortable nights sleep, I sure recommend the beds at Best Western. Also located in safe place. The price was more than adequate and this is a brand new building. It was clean from top to bottom. Breakfast bar was very good and all types of food available.

This is a new hotel and very nice. They don't have a liquor license yet but the bar area looks nice. The employees were exceptionally nice and helpful. One employee was in the breakfast area making sure everything was replenished and helping the young and old. Great wireless service. We would definitely stop here again and would recommend it to others. The only drawback is that if you are not looking for it specifically, it would be hard to find.

Staff was great. Hotel is only 2 months old so everything is nice and new. Signage needs to be a little better but definitely worth the effort to stay there! Breakfast was delicious! Bed was comfortable and air conditioner SUPER COLD!

We liked being close to the interstate, but not too close to hear lots of noise. The room was a great sized. We had lots of room with two beds and a sitting area in the room. The free breakfast had lots of options.

"Visiting family in area"

We stayed four days and was impressed by the clean and freshness of the new hotel. We ate breakfast every morning and was happy with coffee being served around the clock. Staff was very nice. Jay that worked the night shift is an exceptional guy and wonderful asset to the hotel, very friendly and helpful. Our only complaint was that there was never any hot water. Luke warm but not hot. Located centrally to Walmart and one exit away from mall and eateries. I would recommend staying here to anyone.

Our home had to be fumigated practically and they provided us with a room that was not only affordable but neat clean and comfortable. I know many of you may decide to stay closer to the city but TRUST ME when I say this little hidden treasure is worth the travel.

"Brand new, hard to get hot water, breakfast lacking"

So this hotel was very nice because it was brand new. Super clean and all of that. However if you wanted a warm-semi hot shower you had to turn the water on for a minimum of 15 minutes before it would get hot. So just put that in your morning routine. Some days it only got it warm a few times it did get hot but barely. The breakfast on the first day was great. All 3 days there were eggs, sausage, bread for toast, oatmeal and make your own waffles. There was also a selection of cereal, fruit, and yogurt-which naturally, dwindled throughout our stay and they never added more. That kind of sucked because on day 3 there were a ton of people there for a softball tournament and we were out of a ton of options- especially healthier ones. The price was just right however. I believe we got the online rate of $80.10. Which at that price you wouldn't normally expect breakfast or the luxury of a brand new, clean hotel. Bottom line I would stay here again. The location was also nice. Close to Walmart, a pharmacy, multiple fast food restaurants and one exit away from a huge mall with a movie theater.

This hotel has completely blown me away! Perfect everything....Beautiful CLEAN rooms, beautiful lobby, the staff was very helpful and pleasant....everything you want in a hotel. Really great restaurants in the area as well. I will be back to this hotel every time I have to travel to Baton Rouge!
