« Nice, quiet place to stay »

Good hotel with good rooms. Shower head was kind of wimpy and couldn't get the flow I wanted, but that's small potatoes. Getting in to the parking lot is kind of sticky because of the way the lights and streets are set up, but that's not the hotel's fault. Overall it was a good experience.

« TV not working in first room.(During World Series!) »

More attentive staff at the front desk. And by attentive I just mean available. I approached the desk a couple times in my stay and no one came to help. I called the front desk to ask where the ice machine was (it was on a different floor) and NO one answered. No one was around. The first room we were given the TV did not work. (the horror as we were trying to watch the world series). We were quickly moved to another room though. At checkout I had to leave a note with my room keys advising that I was checked out. Disappointing.

« It was just OK but pool was NOT heated as advertised »

The main reason that I chose this hotel was for the heated pool so that I could swim with my child. It was literally freezing. The room that it was in was heated but the water itself icy. The rugs were dirty as well. Beds comfy. No coffee pot in the maker. Just OK. I had stayed here before last year and it has gone way downhill since then.

    « Dropped the ball. »

The maid was the weakest link. The room was not touched nor new towels were given on one of the three days. She does not vacuum. The woman at the front desk was sweet. Natalie went out of her way to welcome weary travelers fleeing Hurricane Mathew.Again, the maid should be fired.

    « Convenient »

We had to evacuate Hurricane Matthew so we just headed to this location because family is near. We did not have a reservation. The first night we stayed everything was very nice. The second night we had to move to 2 smoking rooms. We had two rooms and no one in our party smokes. The odor was unbearable. So we had to check out the next day! The location was convenient and I would stay again as long as it was not a smoking room.

    « Excellent »

This hotel was seven years old but looked brand new. Very well cared for. Very clean and comfortable. Very polite and caring staff. Convenient location I would stay again and recommend it. Full breakfast

    « Disaster »

I was very much inconvenienced and I will never reserve another night at this location. the attendants were not well trained and they screwed up tremendously. just not satisfied at all!!!!! not satisfied not satisfied not satisfied not satisfied not satisfied not satisfied

« Very friendly needed lighting »

Friendly, competent check-in by Trevor. Room was clean and spacious, but lacked lighting (only 1 lamp in room and it was not bright at all... couldn't see well enough to do my paperwork) and even though plenty of room, no couch or table. Comfortable bed, thin towels. They were out of eggs at breakfast... supposedly had a big crowd the previous morning, which was irrelevant to us, so we ate breakfast somewhere else. Woman at front desk was quite friendly and efficient for checkout.

    « Vacation »

My family and I were treated like we were part of "their" family. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with smiles on Nathalie's face and in her voice. She was great. We made a last minute reservation over the phone with her and when we got there we wanted to upgrade to a suite and she was able to do it too ??. Annette in the kitchen doing breakfast by herself (on the weekend)with very limited cooking appliances and utelsils. Did great trying to keep everything stocked, clean and cooked. BW should invest in atleast a stove top if not a full stove to help Annette serve the guests in the best way she can. Over all our stay was very pleasant and the room was clean.

« This hotel has pillows to die for! »

I stopped at this hotel after an 8-hr. drive. No reservation. But the staff was very hospitable, and the place was extremely comfortable. The full breakfast was great, and check-out was a breeze. This was my first stay at this location, but it won't be my last!

    « Nice rooms »

One night only comfortable beds... very clean rooms and the breakfast was very good. The restroom was very clean, we had no problem sleeping it was very quite . we always try to stay at best Western hotels... thank you so much.

    « Great Stay ! »

Hotel was clean and very nicely decorated, all staff was very helpful and friendly. Only complaint is water in shower got extremely hot so beware if you have a child because could easily be scalded, other than that issue the stay was wonderful. Breakfast was very good and very helpful staff working the breakfast.

    « Great value! »

Friendly service, a big and well-presented room with all conveniences, comfortable bed, decent breakfast selection including fruit and waffles, handy location close to restaurants, such as Wintzell's Oyster House, for dinner.

    « Mr »

Rooms were nice, bed comfortable and breakfast was very good. Terrible excercise room, equipment broken and the room very small and swimming pool was indoor in hot humid room. A smoke smell in the hallway. Counter service was ok but not always manned. Worth the discounted price but would not pay full price

« Great with only one problem »

Our stay was great except the odor by the elevator. We should have told the desk clerk but did not want to bother anyone. Room was large and comfy. Bed was great. Nice and clean. Staff was very nice. Breakfast was great and lots of it. Clean area and helpful staff.

    « Great Price »

I selected this hotel as it was outside Mobile and we wanted to get started home to Tennessee the next morning avoiding a lot of traffic. It worked out just perfectly and the hotel was nice. Breakfast was okay, but the price of the room made up the difference.

« Very Satisfied with Our Stay!!! »

Overall, I was satisfied with our time at the Motorsport Inn & Suites, Saraland, AL. We chose this hotel because it has been recently updated! There was a mini refrigerator in the room and a microwave. This was very convenient because I was traveling with two teenagers!! If we are ever in the area again, we will definitely stay there again!!!

« Excellent Best Western Hotel »

Very accommodating from desk and housekeeping staff. Rooms were very clean and fresh. Prices were very good for this area. Lots of hotels and restaurants in this area make it very convenient for travelers. Beds were quite comfortable.

We had traveled 9 days and it was the best breakfast at any hotel.... the coffee was excellent while it tasted like paste at other hotels.... I asked the lady in the breakfast room her name... it was Michelle and she was a delight...her food was excellent unlike the previous 9 days of travel and so was her service and grace when my grandson spilled his milk everywhere on the floor.... she met us with a huge smile and kindness.... and I was in a wheelchair and she even offered to make my plate and bring refills which is unheard of at a hotel free breakfast bar and she was like this to all the guest...we appreciated her....the rooms were clean and the bed was an awesome comfort to this very tired Texas traveler of over a 1600 miles...we had a computer glitch at checkout but we found kindness and dedication to service in that employee as well...THIS HOTEL IS A GREAT PLACE TO STOP FOR YOUR LARGE FAMILY TRIPS....

    « A caring hotel staff »

The front desk staff at Best Western Hotel were friendly, professional and helpful. The hotel is new with Queen size beds, good quality linen, and a good efficient, noise-free air conditioner. We could sleep well and had a hot breakfast. The hotel is clean, well managed and hospitable.

« Not quite up to Best Western quality »

Breakfast was not near what is usally at a Best Western Hotel. Very little hot items. What there was to pick from was good. Stayed two days and room was not restocked with towels, etc. at any time. Price was fair for what we got and nice place overall.

    « Breakfast Request »

My husband made a request for the breakfast menu from the egg patties, to the scrambled, and he had them the next day, Michelle was an outstanding individual. The breakfast room was clean, neat, and fully stocked for our stay. Thank you

« Home away from Home »

Food, and accomodations like the staff very good, clean rooms, no odors. Accomodated guests and visitors staff very helpful and friendly as well as knowledgable on location of area events .... Plan to come back to my home away from home next trip to Saraland, Alabama.

« Quiet but very convenient »

Slightly tricky negotiating the entrance..but very welcoming..and a nice room. the residential location enabled us to enjoy a unusual treat in the USA The only downside was breakfast which in all aspects was not up to the usual Beat Western standard

    « Nice Hotel--Minutes Away from Mobile »

This Best Western was very nice. The common areas were clean. We stayed in a double queen room . The room was very spacious. We stayed for two nights. My only compliment is that the room was not cleaned after our first night. The trash was pulled and the dirty towels were removed but the beds were no made and the bathroom was not cleaned. I keep my hotel room like I keep my house so it was not a big deal for me but it was definitely not what I was accustomed to.

« Nice toom, great price »

The room was clean, and larger than the average hotel room. Although we didn't use them, the room had a microwave and refrigerator. The indoor pool was nice, and there was a better than average fitness room. The front desk staff was very friendly. The free breakfast was adequate, could use fresh fruit, some sort of eggs, and some kind of hot cereal (even instant grits or oatmeal would have been nice.)

    « Spring break »

My husband and I needed a quick get away so we chose the gulf shores area. The price at this hotel was great. What a nice surprise we received. The hotel was clean and the breakfast was very good. The front desk lady, Natalie, was very helpful, calm and friendly, even when a guest in front of us was very rude, disrespectful and just plain nasty. She handled herself well. Would definitely recommend it to others and would stay there again.

« Nice Hotel for the Price »

This was a nice hotel for the price. There was good customer service overall. I only have a few complaints. The continental breakfast sucks. If you post that it lasts certain hours, then you should have food out there for all of those hours. When I went an hour before it was over, they were all out of food and I waited to see if they would bring more and they did not. My other complaint is that the pool closes too early.

The staff was horrible. The lady at the desk was rude and took thirty minutes to get us checked in, because they lost our paperwork when the day before they told us over the phone everything was set. At 11 PM, they checked someone into the same hotel room that I was occupying and a woman walked in on me as I was sleeping. This was a horrible experience and I will never stay with this hotel again.

Fold out bed had springs coming through poking my kids. Desk clerk did not have access to anything other than a fitted or flat sheet. He caught an attitude when i told him I wanted a manager. Owner of hotel didn't care when we talked to her about it. She got extremely rude with my wife.

  • 2
    « Cleanliness »

Room was not properly cleaned, bedding had to be changed by my wife as no other room were available. Room dusty and carpet had lints and twist ties in open view on the floor. Even found men underwear under sink in bathroom. The hotel staff is very nice and pleasant... overall hotel is is good and I know it is a individual's problem rather than the chain. Disappointed that a

    « Move on »

Worst Best Western so far since Seattle, dirty bathroom, very noisy above neighbors ubtil 200a, even after complained to front desk. Breakfast was a bust, not enough food or help and tables and spaces looked dirty.

    « Nice room »

When we called to confirm the reservation Natalie put us on a three minute hold. When we called back she was very rude and hung up. The rooms were very clean and the hotel was quiet. They did provide a toothbrush and toothpaste when I forgot mine.

    « Not as advertised »

Well. I looked at all the reviews for this place and it seemed like most everyone had a somewhat positive experience, but a couple of days there and I regret wasting my money to stay here. First off, on my day of check in I got a call from the hotel asking if I was still coming because they didn't have rooms available (I booked my room a month in advance). After an hour they found me a room. And apparently the third flood is "non smoking" but every night of my stay there was cigarette smoke coming from surrounding rooms. Just an overall negative experience.

    « Mobile Visit »

I chose this hotel for the location, near Univ of Mobile. I was not disappointed. Hotel was very clean well kept. Breakfast menu was lacking in a meat offering. Would like to have seen bacon or sausage as an item on the buffet.

« Great place at a great price! »

A nice hotel every bit as good as any higher priced option, and better than most. This was the perfect combination of value and comfort. Breakfast was on par with other similar hotels, which is to say it was OK and what one might expect in this price range.

    « Perfect as always »

This was the third time that I stayed in this hotel. It is very clean and comfortable. The hotel staff have exquisite customer service. I wish I would've got the lady's name that is always so friendly but I didn't she has really bright red hair. her customer service is the reason I keep coming backeverything was perfect

« The indoor pool was an eye opener »

This was a transition stay. We just needed a place to rest before heading off to Mobile, AL and west. The only thing I remember that was less than stellar was the indoor swimming pool. You walk in and the temperature was a very warm 80°. But the pool was very cold kinda like it was unheated. I stepped into the pool up to my knees and it was really cold. There were other people in it and they were having the best time but I chose not to continue. Looking back, I understand why it was set up that way. If you heat up the pool water, you create a very humid environment inside the room, but if you heat up the room instead of the pool, it's a very comfortable room with no humidity and you don't freeze when you get out of the pool. Now I wish that I had just jumped into the pool to get over the cold water and enjoy it. The outside temperature was about the high 30's at the time. Oh well, it will be on my to do list next time I come to Alabama. Everything else about the hotel was just perfect enough that I don't have any negatives about it. If you ask me anything about this hotel, I probably won't remember anything as I was really tired from the long drive. Highly recommend this place.

    « Comfortable room »

Front desk staff were great. Even helped me when the batteries in my remote died. Spacious rooms and comfortable bed. Room had a sofa bed as well. I have no complaints and will definitely be staying here again.

    « Best western motorsports »

This motel is very close to two nice restaurants. And very clean the staff id helpful and very friendly. I would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to this area. Interstate access is easy and you are only minutes from Mobile.

  • 4
    « Good Hotel »

they were remodeling the check in area. I did not receive my gift bag for being a diamond member. But the staff was nice and the rest of the hotel was in good condition! The breakfast was good and the free paper was nice.

« You Still Get What You Pay For »

Second trip to Mobile this year, and second time staying in Saraland. Last time we stayed at the Microtel and we will NOT ever go back there. I was much happier with the Best Western even though it was not perfect. Cons: While they smelled clean the bed linens were stained, Tiny Bathroom, Breakfast Pros: Inexpensive, Comfortable, Plenty of storage space, Close to Mobile (<15 min from downtown), Indoor Heated Pool, Fitness Center. Will we go back? Maybe but only after trying some other hotels in the area first.

« No room service during visit »

We stayed in saraland BW for Christmas. We were informed, not at check in, but on Christmas day that we would not get our room cleaned because all staff were off for the day. The desk clerk told us she would leave clean towels in our room when we left on Christmas day. However that didn't happen. But the night clerk said I come & get some from the desk. On 12/26/15, we saw the cleaning girl in a room talking & laughing on her cell phone as we left around noon. Upon our return at 10p, our room still had not been cleaned. Natalie offered to move us or clean our room at the end of her shift. I asked to speak with a manager, Manisha patel. But, she's not available until Monday when we're no longer here. I will bypass her for a regional manager who will hopefully do more than make excuses. I am very disappointed since TripAdvisor gave this facility their 2015 excellence award. Can't say that I would book this location again or recommend it to my clients.

    « Nothing Special »

The hotel was good for the price but really nothing all that special. The room and the rest of the property was clean. The bed and pillows were not as comfortable as I would have liked. The location was fairly good and there were several places to eat close by. The breakfast was as I had come to expect at most hotels...lacking in taste.

« Excellent staff, clean & comfortable room »

Check in and check out was done by very friendly staff members. Room was as expected, with a large flat screen TV, clean comfortable bed and fine for the evening we stayed. The toilet didn't flush properly, but we didn't report it until morning. The breakfast was all carbs/sugar w no eggs. We would certainly stay here again though for an overnight stay.

« Nice Hotel in Mobile suburbs »

Very clean room and facility. Very attentive staff dedicated to visitor satisfaction. Comfortable indoor pool and exercise room. Large variety at complimentary hot breakfast served by an attendant aiming to please. REASONABLE RATES.

    « Needs some work »

We experienced some issues with this hotel on our recent stay over Thanksgiving. An iron left a black mark on my father in law pants, the wifi was terrible (I reported it to the front desk but only time got me re-connected), the lobby fountain was in-operational and needed repair or replacement and our reservations were not ready when we arrived. These are typical things that sometimes happen when you stay at a hotel but they just seemed to happen to us all at once. We have stayed at this hotel annually for several years and it continues to decline annually. The general manager reached out to me regarding my concerns and assured me she would look into my issues. There are 3 or 4 hotels in this one area, and I may explore another option next year.

    « parking »

Turning into driveway is a mad house at night. very dark and cannot see the driveway. after several stays the rooms were not up to normal standards this time. I was checked into two dirty rooms on one night lugging my bags after my son had left I wanted to cry.

« great place to stay »

This is a great place to stay. Easy access from interstate. friendly staff. The rooms are wonderful. plenty of room and great beds. I wish they would get better pillows. The breakfast was a little small, but ok. even with a few minor draw backs, it is still a great place to stay.

« best stay for the money »

Clean, decent hot breakfast , rotates between scambled eggs and sausage one day sausage gravy and potatoes next day plenty of hot water, half price of hampton just as nice. beds are okay , one of the slowest elevators I have ever encounterd in a hotel ,will stay again if in area

  • 3
    « handicapped »

This is not for the handicapped it is not very friendly for some one in a chair A third floor handicapped room with no rails in the bath They have nothing in the room for people with limitations you have no bath rails and no rails at the toilet area this is not for the handicapped

« Overall a good hotel for the price!!! »

I stayed with my family here for couple of days. Location is good since it's right off the highway. I usually stay in a hotel nearby but decided to try this place and I don't regret my decision. This is a good, clean hotel. Very friendly staff. Room itself is very spacious and has very comfortable beds(see pic). They have free wifi and have an indoor pool as well. Breakfast is nothing fancy but definitely decent. One thing I noticed here that I haven't seen in other hotels is there was a tip jar in the breakfast room. I guess they are in the service industry. Makes sense. There are quite a few restaurants near by as well. Overall a good hotel for the price. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

« We Always Stay Here »

this is the hotel that we stay in when travel to Mobile AL it is always nice and great eatery's in the area. the rooms are always clean. parking in limited over all I would not stay any where else in the area... In door POOL

    « Excellent »

Tastefully decorated with all the amenities you could want in a room. Comfy beds. Nice clean indoor pool. Great hot breakfast with super milk gravy and biscuits among other items. Staff were so friendly and accomodating. Great Western does a great job for their guests.

    « Excellent Overnight Experience »

This hotel meets every standard we have come to expect from the Best Western brand. Even though it is not brand new it is in excellent physical condition, clearly well-maintained, clean, and comfortable. The room comes with microwave, fridge, and a larger TV that works well. Located on the Interstate among several brands it was our first choice and did not disappoint. The staff is friendly and courteous. The hot breakfast was plentiful and good quality and the attendant was present at all times with help as needed. Definitely will stay there again when needed.
