Pearl on the Concho SureStay Collection by Best Western

Stayed over a weekend for my visit to San Angelo. I had booked a room with an interior corridor (253) thinking it was quieter which had proved to be a mistake. The room was comfortable and clean but it was quite dark (no natural light) and was marred by the noise coming from the atrium and the pool area until it closed at 2300 hrs. The hotel itself was brilliantly situated close to the historic centre of San Angelo and the Fort Concho historic site. Staff were all friendly and helpful especially when trying to find our room. For families with children, this is the perfect getaway with a pool and games area. A breakfast buffet is also included which was a great bonus. I would recommend this hotel with the proviso to pay the extra and get an exterior corridor room which will have natural light and be somewhat quieter. Other than that, everything was fine!

Great family environment for everyone! The kids had a blast, breakfast was good and the room was very clean. This is a great place for families to stay in San Angelo. I was also extremely impressed by the friendly staff!

Our kids loved this hotel. So much for them to do to stay entertained. We didn't have to leave to find ways to entertain. Will definitely stay again. Was also a great place for me and my husband. The entire family enjoyed it.

This hotel is obviously an older hotel and maybe it was nice in its day but it is very dated and the rooms as well as the common areas need a big overhaul. The bathrooms had rusted showers and yucky rubber bathmats. Will not stay here again.

We spent 2 nights here because of our family reunion. The hotel and staff is great. Everything you need is right here. The did not so good, you'll definitely want to go out to eat or door dash something.

Love this place, it has all amenities to keep the kids busy after a long day at the stock show. The rooms are spacious and the beds are comfortable. We stay here twice a year and have not had any complaints.

Everything was amazing from the time we got there till the time we left, we all went swimming and enjoyed the atmosphere of everything that was there. We couldn't have asked for a better experience on our little family trip.

There is stuff for kids and adults to enjoy so we didn't even need to leave for entertainment. The restaurant and bar stayed open late enough to enjoy. The kids enjoyed the pool and arcade games and we enjoyed the pool tables

I stayed this past weekend and had an amazing experience. Great place for kids and grown up kids as well. My room was great with a view of the Concho River. Pool is great for kids who can swim. Infants/toddlers would benefit from a splash pad or more shallow "kiddie pool" area. Large area for a lot of kids to run, play and be loud without feeling bad for "disturbing" other guests. Very family oriented. The restaurant is great for dinning in or taking food TO-GO. The location is perfect if you want to explore the rest of San Angelo. There is also a park across the street if you need to get outside. The weekend nights are a little noisy if you are trying to put a little one to sleep early. Bring a fan or sound machine to drown out the sound. AC works great!

The place has a nice salt water indoor pool with pool side towels available, beach balls, life vests and floaties for kids. The staff very friendly. However it is very dated and in need of repair. Also inside rooms have a great deal of noise until about midnight. It's location is ideal for very close approximation to fun downtown restaurants and Think in the Box ( a must!).

Cockroach in the desk drawer!!! Opened the draw and 3 or 4 cockroach's cone running out. Bar services was excellent, very nice lady working in there. Conventionally located to help in navigation around town.

The atmosphere was fun and the room was clean. The employees were very nice and helped with any issue I had. My only complaint was that only 2 lights worked in the room we were in. All in all it was a fun stay.

While this is an older hotel, the new owner has done a wonderful job rehabilitating the place. The entire staff are extremely friendly. The room was clean. The indoor pool with the atrium is a wonderful touch. (See photos). The Restaurant and bar were nice. The only drawback is they are not open Sunday and Monday. The Continental Breakfast is nice and open 7 days a week with an extra hour on Saturday and Sunday. Is my travels ever take me back to San Angelo, this is where I will stay. A word to the wise; our room was on the outside as opposed to the inside rooms which line the Atrium. If you need to sleep during the day, the pool / Atrium area is very noisy on the weekends. Monday it was mostly quiet. .

This has great amenities for the kids: large indoor pool, game area, and toddler play area. Onsite restaurant is convenient, Walking distance to cute local shops and restaurants in downtown area, and walking distance to a great park. The staff was professional and friendly. It is an older hotel, but well-maintained and appears to be be doing further updates.

We never had to worry about the baseball team staying entertained while waiting for our next game. They had an absolute blast with plenty to do. Adults had a place to unwind while overlooking all the activities for the kids.

Highly recommend!!!! Great an atmosphere, service, food, and the Staff super friendly!!!! Great location!!! Indoor pool and games!!! Easy access to the Stock show!!!! The hotel restaurant has great food and service!!!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Pearl on the Concho. Nice indoor pool area. Enjoyed the bar and restaurant. Good food and drinks. Room was clean. Great for visiting downtown San Angelo. The breakfast was ok.

My growing family was in need for a space to have our Christmas celebration, while in San Angelo. I feared that finding a location that would fit our needs would be impossible. That is until I found out about the atrium located inside of the Pearl on the Concho! I looked a pictures online, I just couldn't believe that it was so perfect!! I made a trip to the hotel. Met with the manager and met a few other fine staff. They simply exceeded all expectation of what I thought our family Christmas could be. When we arrived, a few days before Christmas, it felt like they had been looking forward to our arrival!!! I thought we were the only ones that were excited!!! Front Desk Manager, Miracle, came around to welcome us with so much glee! She clearly gave us a rundown of the property, the breakfast times, restaurant/bar times, etc. They were there to help us get our luggage to our rooms. I experienced a minor issue, however, Sasha “put on her cape” and became the hero of our issue. The kids excitement when they saw the pool, arcade, pool tables, ping-pong tables, and putting greens was through the roof!!! I could go on and on about my new favorite hotel, however, I need to convey something important. A hotel is not only about the price or the product. Travelers can sometimes forget that it is the PEOPLE that bring it all together. They are what makes a stay a true delight. This property was super cute and right in great spot. My only complaint is if you are traveling with pets, the property didn't seem to have any areas for pets. We had to walk across the street or next door property for grass. Other than that, the hotel was great!

No complaints. Older place nothing fancy. Just could tell it has not been updated in years. Lots to do for the family. If you want quiet request outside room. Pool, playground and bar area. We used the room for a graduation party. Staff was helpful.

Remodeled and refurbished Holidome . Clean with a friendly staff who always had a smile and a willingness to help. The location is perfect. Walk to downtown historic San Angelo to visit restaurants, bars and to shop. Right along the Concho river complete with walking trails. We will definitely stay again.

Service was great. Rooms we're very clean for the right price! The bar has very good drinks and breakfast in the morning was delicious .it has a restaurant with great food .once you get here you have no reason to leave building since it has it all. It is located along the concho river such a pretty location. I had such a great night stay in my nice clean room!

We attended a conference here at the hotel and was so pleased with everything. The staff and service was super helpful and friendly, especially Jessica and Oscar. They did so much to make our stay perfect in every way. The rooms were very nice and facing the pool and beautiful atrium. Great food and drinks from the inside bar and resturant too.

Beautiful Location! Fun beach vibe! Friendly staff! Unfortunately, there was a strong deodorizer smell that became more and more uncomfortable as the night wore on. Also, a bright flashing smoke detector in the room kept me awake.

My family was treated to a night stay at pearl on the concho. We found it to be a lot of fun and the hospitality was unreal. Employee Tammy was very helpful we had some issues opening our door she did it for us help us carry stuff in she just was amazing what an asset. The food was excellent and the bar was located to where we could see our kids playing in the pool it was a family environment and a good one. I give hospitality a five plus, the restaurant and bar at 4.5 housekeeping a five due to the room being spotless the only thing I think that needs to be changed would be the carpet everything else was fabulous thank you Pearl on the concho

I have been bringing my family here just about every weekend for the last two months while my new home is being built because this hotel has a heated swimming pool, arcade area ,billiards and several other indoor activities that the kids enjoy while we enjoy the great food and drinks at the indoor restaurant.

My family and I were driving from Salt Lake City to San Antonio. We came through San Angelo around 9pm and we're looking for a place to stay when we found this place in the website. Wow! It was amazing! Amanda at the front desk was so polite and helpful. Not only did she get us checked in she gave us some incredible knowledge about the city and gave us an excellent recommendation for dinner. When we got back to the hotel and went to our room we were blown away by the uniqueness of the property. We wished we had more time to stay to enjoy it all. The next morning we were blown away by the kindness of the staff and were able to take a morning walk next to the concho river that we found ourselves next to. It was an amazing experience.

The pool area and atrium have several activities that are well thought out and enjoyable for customers to use. There is a full size pool, air hockey, miniature golf and playground inside the building. There are plenty of places for friends/families to gather and visit. However, the state of our room was a real letdown and I will not be staying here again. The toilet seat was not secured to the bowl. There was significant staining, mold, and mildew in the bathtub. The linen had stains that had me questioning the overall cleanliness of the room.

The indoor rooms are excellent! If you have kids it's a great place to bring them to.they have indoor pool arcade games,pool tables etc.Lots of entertainment for the whole family has a bar and restaurant so there's no need to go anywhere else.

The front desk staff was helpful with two different requests (handicap parking and room change). The room service supper was good but the breakfast was shameful. I did not expect for the room to have a window toward a noisy play area with flashing lights and an 11 pm closing time. The noise and lights flashing in the room were annoying. Two nights of poor sleep. Even if I had come with kids that would enjoy the play area I do not think that I would return - too expensive for the tacky atmosphere.

It isn't new but it has been renovated really well! It's clean and unique in that you won't find another place like it with the huge indoor atrium/pool/dining/entertainment area...especially fit the price! Great value! When I was a kid this was a Holiday Inn with a state of the art Holidome. They have done a tremendous job of recreating a hotel that you can't find anywhere else. It's a very relaxing atmosphere but one that kids will absolutely love!!! Highly recommended!

This place has been upgraded and is the best place for gatherings. From birthday parties, to family reunions or just a get a way! Perfect place to stay if you have kids! Wonderful breakfast and close to downtown shopping! We will be going back next year!

Pearl on the Concho was assessable to the downtown area and ESC Region 15. Very affordable and the staff was friendly and welcoming. The indoor recreation area was unique and fun. It included an indoor pool, arcade, pool tables, ping pong tables and air hockey.

We had my daughters' 13th birthday party at the atrium and pool at the Pearl on the Concho and it was a huge success! Lot of space and activities to keep the girls entertained and very comfortable beds for when they finally got tired. We will most definitely be back for more visits to this excellent location

The breakfast lady been over backwards to help my son with breakfast and brought the waffle to him and the lady‘s the front desk were great, they suggest that I get a first floor room instead after observing all the luggage I had to bring upstairs. My only complaint is the strobe light at the swimming pool during the night

The staff and attending manager were amazing from the moment of check in. Everytime I saw them on the property I was greeted with a smile, the activity areas were clean and the rooms were clean and smelled fresh. It was an amazing experience, and I appreciate the effort!

Shower needed cleaning. Great hotel for your family. Room was clean, the shower was not. The breakfast was very good and every staff member that we encountered was extremely kind. We had two different issues and they sent someone to the room both times.

The overall stay was good. Staff friendly. The problem was with billing. Contacted them on Sunday after checkout and looked at Credit card billing. As of Friday still not resolved, though promises of correcting bill.

What a great place, the location is great to everything and the hotel itself is just cool. They have it all here. Swimming, pool tables, ping pong, video games, you name it. On site bar and restaurant etc. The staff i s on top of their game, very attentive and friendly as well. I loved my stay here, and will be returning.

Very friendly staff, they accomodated us when asked for a lower level room for my 89 yo father who was traveling with us. Bed were comfortable and rooms were clean. High recommend. Scenery around the outside was real nice with the riverwalk.

I booked this room for 2 nights a few days before arrival and spoke with a wonderful woman who went above and beyond for our family. Her name is Miracle and she is an absolute Angel. She truly loves her job and her customers. Our family will definitely be back, as we have family stationed here & this was a 2nd stay for someone in our large family. Rooms very clean, beds very comfortable. So much for my grandchildren to do. Such a wonderful find. Thank you again Miracle for treating us all like family.

Had great conversation with Miracle who worked there. She helped us with the room reservations and came out and made sure we had everything we needed and that we were enjoying our stay. The beds were comfortable and rooms clean. Lots to do here with the kids including miniature golf, pool tables, video games, air hockey, and a large indoor pool. Coming from California I'm very impressed with this hotel! Will be back with the family again..

Liked the room but it requires too many stairs from back rooms to the lobby or breakfast area. The inside rooms are better but you would have to deal with the noise. And the reason I usually do not fill these out is that it requires too many words.

Excellent service and value. We had a great time and we're very well cared for. We stayed overnight and had a party for my son in the pool/atrium. We will definitely be back.highly recommend this place and their amazing staff!

This is our second time staying here and we love it! Our grandkids come and spend time with us and we get to enjoy the free entertainment, pool, games, etc. Perfect location in walking distance to downtown and so many shops and restaurants. We'll accommodating and super friendly staff!

This was a lovely place to stay for a night while visiting family in the area. The staff was friendly and the rooms were large and clean. A fridge, microwave, and coffee maker was provided. This was also a dog friendly hotel which was a huge plus for me as I travel with a dog.

My mom was staying at the Shannon hospital and the Pearl on the Concho was less than 5 minutes away. Very friendly staff, super clean, and everything else was great definitely would stay here again! Will definitely have to bring the kiddos here

Best hotel stay I've had in a really long time. Staff so friendly and helpful. Front desk staff amazing. Good hot breakfast available every morning. Indoor pool, arcade games, great amenities and great restaurants and bars all very close by withing walking distance if you choose to walk.

I don't usually do reviews. I live local and booked adjoining rooms and a birthday party package for my twins. Not only are the renovations amazing the managers and staff are top notch! We had a great 'staycation" for our birthday bash. I was able to have an adjoining room so the kids could have their own space and I could monitor. The manager Miracle and her daughter and all of the staff were on the spot with every detail. I can't say enough about our awesome overnight and birthday party experience. Thank you Miracle and staff for a great experience!

My daughter and I recently stayed at this hotel and were truly surprised. The staff was wonderful and the Pool area was awesome. Lots of things to keep the kids busy. The rooms were clean as well as the whole game area. The best surprise of the stay was the excellent food from the on site restaurant. The BLT was to die for!! We will definitely be back when in the area.

Checking in was so easy. The staff was very polite and helpful. They provided my wife and I a room with a great location on the ground floor. I enjoyed going into the recreation area of the hotel and watching all the kids playing around. There is a very nice pool, pool tables, a ping-pong table, and a putting area - all indoors. The breakfast was very adequate with several cereals, eggs, sausage, waffles, biscuits, gravy, yogurt, juices, coffee, and more. This would definitely be a great hotel if you have kids. I would recommend it and plan on using it as my regular hotel whenever we're in San Angelo.

A very well managed property ! Awesome amenities, extremely clean rooms and common areas. A super spot if traveling with kids or adults that wanna be kid !! Breakfast and breakfast area was excellent. The coffee was way above average.

Was in town for a wedding with 2 grandchildren,10 and 4. The inside door entrance , indoor pool and the play area for all ages made for a much pleasant time inbetween wedding events. Having a place for all to do something as a family when it is cold outside and being able to watch from your inside door made it sooo enjoyable with young ones.

We had a great time there. The nieces and nephew came over and played and swam. I was one arm band shirt and the young man at the front desk gave me one. The front desk staff was very kind and friendly from the time I walked until I left. The property is very clean and in a great location. Will definitely be staying there again.

Hotel was clean, great amenities. Pool, play area, pool tables, arcade, restaurant, bar all in a laid back welcoming atmosphere. Beautiful atrium with live plants and music playing through the day and evening. We throughly enjoyed ourselves. Utilized the bar and restaurant quite a bit during our 3 night stay. Food was good and fresh. Mexican pizza is the bomb!!!

Amazing place to stay with kids. Huge heated pool and several other reasonably priced activities. Air hockey, arcade, pool, table tennis, with a bar and restaurant without ever leaving. Adults can unwind and kids can hang out. Others have mentioned noise, and the hotel was at capacity when we were there. The noise wasn't at a level to bother us. Breakfast was great and the staff was extremely service oriented from checking in, to getting equipment, the restaurant . . . all of it! Won't stay anywhere else with the age my kids are!

We came in before the winter storm. With everything being at this hotel we did not have to worry about finding a place to eat or getting cabin fever. There was nothing else open in Angelo due to storm.

Recently renovated clean rooms, Comfortable bed. Street acess for some rooms makes unloading car quick and easy. Elevator makes every floor easily accessible. Beautiful view of the Concho River. Walking paths along the river are within walking distance. Historic Downtown Shopping and large local bar with dance floor within walking distance. Friendly and helpful staff.

This place is awesome if you are traveling with kids. The indoor activity area, featuring a pool, arcade, mini golf, playscape, & more is perfect for parents wanting to relax while the kids work off some of that "cooped up in the car to travel" energy. The breakfast offers plenty of choices so everyone can start their day fueled and ready to go. We stay here when competing at 4H events at the San Angelo Fairgrounds and the short 10 min drive makes it ideal for the early check in to those events. The staff is friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable which makes the overall experience terrific.

This was a older hotel with thin walls. The bathroom in the room did NOT have a door! The shower ceramic tile had been painted and it was peeling. The internet in the room was nonexistent and I even reported to the manager but no one checked on it. The television had to be reset to get programming when turned off. There was no microwave or hair dryer in the room. The breakfast was good but the same EVERY day and didn't have a pastry selection. All the staff was friendly. The indoor pool was drained for repairs right after we checked in.

These 2 ladies did an EXCELLENT job booking my 7 year old son and myself. Not only did they put us first and foremost in finding us the best rate and the cleanest room, they also helped us find the beat options on rates on weekly and monthly rates for an extended stay to accomodate my personal situation going thru a divorce. We not only had an awesome new years eve, but a great away from home hotel/ concho experience. To whom it may even concern thes ladies rock! I have nothing bad to say. My experience was nice. My expectations were exceeded. The staff were very friendly, and helpful. The rooms were very clean, and comfortable. I would definitely recommend this hotel when going to San Angelo, TX.

First time staying here and will come back again! We got in late and they were busy. Front desk girl was super nice and helpful. She recommended the bar upstairs. We got to our room and it was about what you'd expect. It was dated and needed some TLC - but the bed was awesome and the AC was COLD! The lady at the bar seemed really busy and we waited a few mins before we were greeted but the beer was cold and we were exhausted from traveling. The atmosphere was pleasant after we settled in but it was confusing at first. Would have preferred to sit in a booth but they were all dirty. We planned on meeting some friends out the next night but our kids were having so much fun in the pool that we decided to stay in. Another guest recommended the bar and I'm so glad they did. The bartender guy was so much fun. He recommended the stuffed jalapeños and they were sooooo good. The Scooby snack was fantastic. I might drive just to get one! It was the most fun we've had at a bar since before Covid. Holiday travel with kids and visiting family is so stressful. Sometimes it feels like work instead of time off. Bartender made everything feel easy and seemed to really enjoy himself. Not sure if he will see this but many thanks for the much needed good time!

Wanted to get away not far from home with the kiddos. Great indoor pool area, restaurant on site, and other amenities. Any issues were addressed promptly. Friendly front desk staff. Noise level was a little bit of an issue but we only stayed one night. Will definitely go back.

This is a great place for families lots of fun things for kids as well as adults. We stay here every time we visit San angelo. The front desk manager Amber was awesome and really friendly. Great staff also. Thanks

We ran into a few major issues during our stay dealing with our room and the restaurant but the general manager and housekeeping really did everything they could to make things right with us, and that was greatly appreciated. The kids had a blast at the pool and the arcade room! The drinks made by the bar tender at the 333 salon were amazing as well!! Highly recommend the ‘Scooby snacks'.

We have stayed here before and Love it here. Want to give a big THANK YOU TO MIRACLE for the help of the stay. We appreciate it and will be back. My kids and their friends enjoyed the pool and the fun all night.

Everyone was accommodating. I left a gift to me in room and when realized was in process of calling hotel a manager called me. My cousin was able to go to hotel and pick up. In addition I had left a prescription order they gave to her and she mailing to me!!! So honest and helpful! Never forget. Above and beyond service!

We always stay here with the kids because there is so much to do. We always have a blast. However, this trip was a disaster. Drunks and kids making noise ALL night long. Kids knocking on door at 3am and running off. The biggest issue is the internet did not work ALL weekend. I had work to get done and was not able to do anything. REported it to staff and was told some rooms have thick walls so internet is sketchy....go sit in the atrium. Seeing how I paid $125 per night I should not have to go outside my room plus i had my grandchildren with me so that would have been impossible.

Hotel was very old and outdated. Internet was terrible. Saloon/bar was disappointing as it was just a plain room with beverages (not a saloon), the restaurant was located in the saloon/bar and was not very appealing for food service. Indoor atrium had loud music playing up til 10pm. Pool is NOT open but was not stated in information prior to arrival.

This hotel is older and they do not really advertise that they are Best Western but they are .. even though it is dated it is nice ... if you do not like noise you will want to book exterior due to the pool and game areas are in the middle of the hotel inside and are available till 11pm The cocktail lounge area is quite nice, I ordered a sandwich from hotel restaurant which was very good... free breakfast was good also ... everything is reachable from inside so weather has no effect on your stay here I will DEFINATELY stay again!

This is a great hotel . A little dated, but very clean and the staff is wonderful. So helpful and it has a restaurant with very good food. We had a pizza and drinks and the bartender was fantastic! Would stay here again in a heartbeat. We're sorry we could not stay longer than overnight.

Great place when visiting ASU student. Near campus, great place to hang out, and entertainment like indoor pool, pool and ping pong tables, an arcade and an on-site restaurant that was really good. Also, a great breakfast including eggs, biscuits and gravy. Everybody was so nice.

The Pearl was a very pleasant surprise. It's a Best Western property, but has no markings to that effect that I could tell. For those who remember, this is a converted Holidome...the old Holiday Inns with the inside entertainment areas. This one has an indoor pool that is well maintained, along with a putting green, pool tables, air hockey, and ping pong. There is also an arcade, with a few light gun and racing options, and a couple of prize cranes. The arcade is lacking in options, but the rest of the inside is nice. The Pearl offers inside and outside rooms, and I opted for an inside one. All of the staff that I encountered, from the front desk to cleaning, were very friendly. There is a restaurant on-site, along with a bar, but I didn't try either. One consideration is that, given the environment, there are a lot of families with children that stay at the Pearl. It can be a tad noisy with kids playing and swimming, but nothing bothersome, and when the indoor area closes, it gets very quiet. The pricing is also very reasonable. This will be my go to the next time I'm in town.

Checked in late, got my room quick, had a good night sleep with a great morning along with some breakfast. Check out was smooth. Never let down by these amazing group of workers! Def will be returnin .

The whole Pearl on the Concho experience was wonderful. The pool, staff and breakfast were great. Would definitely recommend for individuals or family. Great bargain. I wasn't ecstatic about it being non-refundable, but I would book again.

I brought my 9, 8, and 2 year old and this is by far their favorite hotel. The pool is clean, the atmosphere is fun and it would be hard to imagine a nicer bunch of people. It's right on the river walking path that takes you into town. I definitely recommend staying here.

I had posted a review before i spoke to Ms Shelly the GM ( and i asked trip advisor to take it down ) Just want to say if you have any problems bring them up to Ms Shelly the GM she is a great Lady and will do what she feels is right to make you happy with your stay , my family and I will be going back soon . Took 30 mins for a waitress to come to our table and that was after we asked for one and then waiteess says she cannot take cards as the scanner isnt workimg so they cannot run cards . Then a fight broke out and i know three kids ages 7,9.10 were all there one hiding behind a chair the other two ran dowstairs !!! Then at 11 after pool closed we went to mcds and upon returning to motel lady holding up drunk disorderly guy who is cussing and threatening i said outloud there are kids out here please refrain from language and cussing , went to room , then went to office and complianed about this and that bar tender knew these guys couldnt even talk right nor walk correctly and should had cut them off hours ago lady just tells me she called the cops , big guy shakeing his head as in agreement to me , ( these were employees here ) kids were lucky they were not hurt upstairs when the fight broke out before they took it outside somthimg need to be done about over drinkers here

We LOVE everything about this hotel! Most recently I came because my grandfather was in the hospital very close to the hotel. The manager, Miracle was so accommodating allowing me to book day by day given that we did not know what would happen with my grandfather each day. Everyone was so amazing but she made one of the most difficult times just a little easier. We also stay here anytime we visit because my kids LOVE it!

Our visit was very good. Fun for kids and adults with the pool and game (arcade, pool tables, air hockey) areas. Staff was very friendly and accomodating. Breakfast was wonderful. Room was a little outdated on decor but was clean.

This hotel is perfect for family reunions. There are game tables and an arcade, a wonderful swimming pool and a delicious restaurant, all of which are housed under one big roof with the rooms on the inside facing the pool. Very convenient and comfortable for all our family members. The staff is fantastic and made our stay comfortable and relaxing! The next reunion will be there again for sure!

Called to reserve two rooms for a small bridal party about three weeks in advance. Found out on the day of arrival that for whatever reason, only one room had been booked for me. Hotel was completely booked due to event in town that weekend. MOD was able to to give us a room that is typically on hold in case there is an issue with a guest room. Staff was excellent, nice, and personable. Hotel itself is outdated, with sticky carpets. Bathroom had not been cleaned at all. Dirt/hair in shower. Could hear kids stopping around loudly for most of the night.

We came in for an extended family event and ended up staying over an extra day to ourselves because we were having such a good time! The staff were friendly, breakfast was great, little bar was fun, pool and facilities were clean. It is an older building but they have kept it up. The pool looks to be remodeled within the past few years. I worked for IHG Staybridge for 5 years and can tell when things have gone through proper quarterly maintenance checks, etc. and have a habit of inspecting the room before we get settled in. It's a great place to stay and we plan on visiting again, possibly organizing a family reunion here!

I always enjoy my stays at Pearl on the Concho, beds have always been comfortable and employees have always been so kind. Pool and food are great. The bar is always so relaxing and their bartenders are so nice.

My family enjoyed our visit to San Angelo. Being right next to downtown was perfect with the infant. It let us hop in and out for naps and such quickly. The place was at capacity our first night which explained some issues and also why I am hesitant to be negative. The Pearl was about as expected: kids loved the pool and arcade—some machines take your money—Restaurant inside was above par with pretty good food. The staff was honestly very receptive and mostly kind. The bad was the normal expectations one would generally have about a room. When we arrived it smelled a bit strange, whatever was sprayed over it was not helping. My 9 month old quickly found some cookies under the table—they were absolutely not complimentary. That made us full stop and check everywhere for other things that our kids should not be eating; unfortunately there were. So basically the bedding appeared clean but the floor was honestly gross, our shower did not drain which drives me insane. There were several other things but they were at capacity so there is not much one can do for recourse. The most frustrating thing about supply n demand is how one will pay the most for something lesser if it is in demand. Being at capacity means paying the highest price. Lame.

Loved our stay here. I can't get over how wonderful, friendly, and helpful the staff is. The room was great. A hotel, yes, but great. I missed having a microwave, but knew they didn't have one when I chose it. But the pool and play area really made the stay! The pool was clean and not cold (which makes all the difference for my little kid), and a lot of fun.

Everyone I encounter was pleasant and helpful. Rooms were decent. Hotel location was convenient to downtown shops and restaurants. Would have been nice to have microwave in room. Bathtub needed some attention. Pain was peeling off of it.

Decided to go visit my mom's grave outside of Ballinger and invited my 7 brothers & sisters to join us if they could. Amazingly 6 of my siblings joined us! Found the Pearl on the Concho on-line while looking for a place for us all to stay. My brother's & sister all showed up at different times, some with dogs, and all of us were accommodated by the folks at the front desk. Loved the breakfast! All of us met for breakfast and made plans while drinking hot coffee & wolfing down hot biscuits and gravy. My brother (especially his dog) enjoyed walking along the Concho River! Loved the history of the place & the story behind "Pearls in the Concho". We def found a "pearl" in San Angelo on our trip!

Looks are deceiving. The worst place ever! Made reservations in advance. Reserved 2 rooms side by side 1 with 2 queen beds 1 with a king. Recieved 2 rooms far apart with full beds! 1 smelled really bad and had no A/C. Beds were so uncomfortable they felt like we were on the floor! Rooms were so small with thsy we had no place to put our luggage other than the floor. The shower/ tub was disgusting you could see the nasty film all around the tub and matt. 1st night was a nightmare in the middle of the night ( 3:00 a.m.) there was a huge fight right outside our room and police were called out! Next day we went out to enjoy our day with family as planned. When we returned our room had not been cleaned or restocked. We called the front desk and were told due to covid no cleaning is done until we leave! You would think due to covid they would offer a more thorough cleaning!!! Decided on a trip to the pool area and it was full of kids running wild with no one inforcing any kind of rules for safety. We went to play a game on the putting area and the kids kept running and throwing balls hitting doors, glass / windows and the parents were too busy drinking. One kid ran into us and we decided to report it. On the way to the front desk one of them threw the ball towards us and if I had not moved back it would have hit me in the face! They did come ask them to stop but that didn't last long. Then the same kid walk by me and said I had a wild hair up my ??? At this point there was no parental guidance and management had no control over the situation. I feel I wasted my money at this place. I will NEVER use this place again! And I can not recommend it.

Check in was quick and easy, the pool is great for the kids. You can visit the bar and then sit on the deck and watch your children play in the pool or take your drink to go and walk around the hotel. Staff was very friendly.

I planned a short trip to San Angelo for a little getaway from my contract work here in west texas... my quick Google search didn't garner me this gem... bud had to point it out. Happy he did... the young lady at the front was amazingly friendly, helpful, and obviously enjoyed what she does (makes all the difference). Great big pool, put-put, pool tables, arcade, restaurant and saloon all in side?!?! Right beside the river.. Yes please. A brief walk to historic downtown... was so very pleased with my stay. Thank yall.

We come stay at this family friendly hotel anytime we are near this area. Hotel room is always clean and staff is always very friendly. Prices are very affordable. Big swimming pool for the kids. It has a nice air hockey table and two pool tables for those not wanting to get wet. Breakfast is very good as well. I highly recommend this to anyone wanting a good nights rest.

When I hear "conference center" in a residence, I think that place will be semi adult friendly. This was a daycare. The pool could have been nice if my group and I weren't getting splashed/hit with noodles/ having balls thrown at us from 8:30pm-11pm. So many kids you can't move is the quantity of children I am talking. My group was adults over the age of 30 most over the age of 50. We wanted to relax in the pool/hang out/chat after a long day. No way. I got to my room and it was my pleasure to see my neighbors with 5 kids, one of whom loved the splash game. They need "adult swim hours" or an "adult pool". Period. I was looking forward to playing ping pong, or taking part in some of the activities the atrium offered, but no. It was an over max capacity Chuckie Cheese. Luckily this was a fun trip for adults not a business trip. If I planned a business trip or conference here, I would never recover. Also be weary of room security. It states in multiple locations that a safe will be in your room. I stayed in room 125, and believe me I checked everywhere. I just got back from a vacation to The Flamingo, where I had my don't disturb sign up, and returned to my room with all my medications/laptop stolen, and sign removed. Believe me when I say I checked high/low for a safe. Maybe there was one, but it certainly wasn't in plain sight, or under the bed, in the closet space, in a drawer, under the desk, under the fridge or behind the tv. Luckily nothing was taken from my room. An improvement this hotel MUST make for the guests/the staff is having do not disturb signs. Like whats that guys? I am hoping the woman who walked in my room Sunday afternoon was housekeeping but who knows. I had the deadbolt on while I was taking a nap after making a don't disturb sign, and a lady just walked in my room. I was very confused. Also just have extra pillows in the room. 2 flat pillows for a king size. Cmon. Also both sides of the bed need outlets. This could be a great property if it was advertised correctly and adjusted a bit. I liked the concept of the atrium/bar/restaurant. Needs some rules or modifications to make it useable. The rooms were shockingly clean. Bed was comfy/ (aside from pillows) Desk was nice, really liked the desk. Fridge was nice. TV/channels offered better than my house. Shower was bizarre, well bathroom was overall bizarre. But good water pressure, temp. Front desk was friendly and helpful. Super informative, sweet, and nice. All staff was awesome actually. The maintenance man I encountered was a sweet heart, the ladies at the pool were nice and pleasant. Even the lady Im assuming was housekeeping that walked in my room, was really nice. If she wasn't house keeping then she was definitely the nicest intruder I have ever experienced. I was half asleep, so she was housekeeping as far as Im concerned for my mental health. The complimentary breakfast? Bravo. That was the best perk in my opinion. Bagels, and biscuits and gravy go along way in my book, and not drive thru food is hard to find in San Angelo. Location is good, parking is ample. Again just change the name to Pearl on The Concho SureStay Collection by Best Western, Family Resort. 86 conference center in the title, also if you say you are going to have safes in every room, have safes in every room. Get do not disturb signs. Add like two more pillows, minimum to the rooms. Let me take a my not glassware to the pool. Im thirsty I want water at the pool while I'm being beat to death by noodles. Implement adult hours for pool, or get adult only pool/ or even hot tub.

Check on was easy and they let us check in early Friendly staff and even took us on a small tour Would be great if you have kids and had an inside room We were happy with the outside room ..no chlorine smell and quiet The pool was warm but not as clean as I would like ..did not stay in for long as foreign debris floating around ..cloudy and lots of chlorine.. Room was clean but the whole place needs some TLC Pillows uncomfortable and no macro wave Ok amenities and had a fridge and coffee in room Probably would not stay here again ... Breakfast was not to my liking ... They also charge a $40 fee that you get back ..hopefully I will get it back ...checkout was friendly but couldn't get a receipt as the copy machine was broken ..said they would email but still do have it

The staff was great. We had a wonderful time. The room was very clean and the restaurant had great selection, the food was very good. We will be coming back. And will recommend this Hotel to our friends.

This is a great location and hotel includes lots of amenities for kids: a beautiful atrium with a large indoor pool, miniature golf, pool tables and various other arcade games. There is a saloon and food area upstairs overlooking the play area that is very pleasant. The dining menu is decent, but the free breakfast could use improvement even with the Covid restrictions. All of the staff we encountered (with the exception of one) was very friendly. The average rating is due to the condition of the hotel. While clean, the decor is pretty outdated. Our room, which was on the outside, had some issues. One was that the shower fell apart when I tried to use it. To the hotel's credit, it was repaired within minutes of reporting it. There were a few other things that were just a sign of age and will hopefully be upgraded soon. I would stay here again, but I will be sure next time to specify that I want an inside room. When I booked my stay, the picture of the hotel did not show outside rooms, and I failed to notice in the details that the room I booked was exterior. The exterior rooms in the main building are, in my opinion, not particularly easy to access if they are on the second floor. There are elevators inside the building, but there are still a few carpeted stairs where you have to pull your luggage up, and if there is any kind of wind or blowing rain you are probably going to get wet getting to your room. The outdoor stairs are concrete and slippery when wet, and no handrail, either. All in all, though, a pleasant and unique place to stay within walking distance of some shops and dining, and I look forward to seeing improvements that will bring it up to Best Western standards.

Visited family spending some time here with kids at the pool and we decided to eat here and have some drinks. Signature Cocktails were unique and very well made! Must try the mojito with prickly pear syrup-so refreshing. The pizza is good and the chicken fried steak is wonderful ( and that's coming from west Texans who are picky about chicken fried steak!) We had to try this shot called an oatmeal cookie shot which was sooo yummy! Think we found our new happy hour spot. Yes it's in a little bit dated hotel indoor pool area (high class snobs will not approve); but it's nice to people watch as you eat and drink and the pool area is kept very clean and doesn't smell bad like some indoor pool areas. The food and drinks spoiled us so much that when we went to Dallas a week later and stayed at a so-called high end hotel with 2 restaurants we were disgusted with the poor quality and high prices compared to the wonderful food and original cocktails we had at 333 restaurant and saloon in this pearl on the concho hotel. The hotel rooms themselves are still a tad dated but clean. Nice for families with kids that need stuff to do like swim and play games and miniature golf

My wife and I were in town to watch my daughter run a 5 K race at the State Park. My daughter had suggested the Pearl on the Concho as a good location due to the atrium and common areas to relax and visit. It was great grand daughters played in the pool and took advantage of the Arcade several times. We ate at the restaurant the evening we arrived and it was nice. Food was good as was the service. The hotel was close to several fine restaurants in the old historic downtown area. We visited several. We will definitely be back again.

Funky little old school place. The atrium is a wonderland for kids of all ages! If you don't want the noise, just book an exterior room instead of interior. It's not a new hotel, but it's clean and decently priced and within walking distance of food and shops.

We were pleasantly surprised. The whole experience was excellent. Only glitch was a little problem with the toilet but they fixed it ASAP. Our 11 and 12 year old grandchildren absolutely loved it! More activities for them and all in a safe secure area. One of the best indoor pools we've seen and the water was perfect. We will be going back!

This has always been our place to stay when we come in town to see family and we have always enjoyed but this weekend was very disappointing we stayed 4 days and never got room service when I called and asked for room service 2 days housekeeping couldn't even come in and pick up the trash n was very rude when we asked for towels

This is a great place to come with your family if you just want to get away for a few days or even just for a night. They have a nice and family friendly place and something for all ages to do. The staff in the restaurant as well as the hotel staff were friendly.

Everyone was helpful and happy to speak with guests. Employees make you feel like a priority. Attention to details throughout the entire building. Staff was there to assist and make a better experience for all. Great place for families, yet quiet enough to nap during the day.

This place is great! Fun for family and VERY affordable. The front desk was very helpful. The weather during our stay was very cold and many places lost power and water. The hotel was careful to make sure our needs were met and we were comfortable the whole time we were there.

This hotel is very reasonably priced, clean, and well maintained. They have an atrium area where kids can swim, play mini golf-arcade games-pool, all while being watched over by their parents who are lounging by the pool or enjoying the restaurant upstairs overlooking the atrium. We were in town for a large competition and there was only one other family involved that was staying here. The charm of it, for me, was the fact that it wasn't crowded and most things were still open in spite of COVID (with precautions). The staff was friendly and knowledgeable (I'm specifically speaking of Megan here). We will definitely put this on our list of quick weekend getaways when it is too cold for camping and we just need a break.

We booked two rooms for several nights and stayed over New Year. There really should be an option to check GOOD - as the only options on Tripadvisor is Average or Very Good. There can be a huge variance between those two ratings and this hotel is an example. Our rooms were clean and comfortable. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were equipped with flat screen TV, refrigerator, coffee maker. Everything worked as it should. Our rooms were outside (not inside the atrium). Breakfast was provided. It was nothing spectacular, but was hot food and included for free. The staff working the breakfast were kind and helpful. We went to the 333 restaurant/bar one evening and the food was decent-to-good. I don't think we would go out of our way to eat here again. Our server was super fun and professional. We played several games in the atrium area and had fun. We never used the pool, but plenty of kids and families were having a nice time in the pool. Staff were constantly cleaning the area (middle of pandemic). The hotel is aged, but clean and safe. Location is great. It was a bit nostalgic for us as most of these styles of hotels are disappearing. Improvements needed: One of the TVs in one room did not get all the stations that the other was getting. We are a tech savvy family and tried to fix it, but couldn't - the signal kept getting lost and stations were scrambled. We asked for help at the front-desk, but to our knowledge this was never fixed. The building is older and during our stay it rained and snowed hard. Everywhere we went in the main areas there were buckets on the floor catching leaking water from the roof/ceiling. It was really bad in the restaurant area and kids play areas. Lack of insulation and noise were a problem (older facility) for both of our rooms. The walls seemed very thin as we could hear people next to, and above us. It was worse when they smoked outside as our heater/AC unit pulled in their smoke, and we could hear every conversation from people outside smoking - especially at night. The building just isn't well insulated. The rooms have nice refrigerators, but no microwaves. A microwave would be nice. All of these things can be overlooked for the positives like cleanliness, comfort, and uniqueness of the hotel and professionalism of the staff. There was one front desk gentleman who might have been having two really bad days during our stay, or just dislikes his job (we are unsure) but, he was curt, and not service minded. It felt like more an inconvenience for him to talk to guests/customers...but, this was one individual and the rest of the staff were awesome and fun. Overall, we had a really nice stay with a few 'misses'. Not sure we would return simply because of the noise and smoke smell (marijuana at times) and one rude staff member can leave a lasting impression on the rest of the team who are doing everything right (unfortunately).

This hotel is in a great location...not far from the remarkable little town of San Angelo...a taste of Americana for sure. The staff is friendly and accommodating too. The hotel was a former holidome so there are rooms with outside access and rooms with inside access (poolside). The pool area is very nice, clean, plenty of seating with pool towels on each chair, ping-pong table, pool table, gameroom with pay video games and restrooms. It would be a great place for a growing family to get away for the weekend. The rooms are dated—very dated, but our room (an inside room) had an air conditioning unit that was by far the best we have had on our month-long road trip. The unit was quiet, remote-controlled, and responded exactly to whatever temp or fan speed you could want. Our experience is that most hotel rooms have very noisy units that give you whatever temp and fan speed it wants no matter what you plug in. Plus this system did not fill the room with humidity, which we also consider a huge plus. I would have given more stars for this hotel except that the rooms need updating badly (even the sheets are worn out with no elastic and must be replaced tomorrow) and the flatscreen was snowy, kept flashing, and had a static sound constantly. The manager told me they were having trouble with the cable company for the last couple weeks. Not good.

Absolutely amazing service and very clean room. Adam was superb in making all the arrangements. Great place for family and pets. Park and trail across the street, pool and mini golf indoors in the atrium. I'll always book my stay here!

This is Best Western's only entry in San Angelo, and because Pearl on the Concho is historic, I figured, why not? As a Texas Longhorn fan, my room's wall color certainly did not disappoint, as it was burnt orange. The room itself was, overall, good, with a great HD TV, good restroom, great shower with pressure adjustments (always a hit!), and the most unusual (but welcome) air conditioning arrangement I've ever seen. The cold air stayed on all the time and the flap moved up and down so the air does not all come down to one spot all the time. Very convenient. This hotel has both interior and exterior corridors (and I chose interior because it's safer and more secure). With that being said, why am I giving this hotel just four stars?? As I've read from other reviews, the hotel was undergoing some renovations, although on my visit, there didn't appear to be any. What was wrong? Well, the atrium, despite the best of intentions, has a very weird design in trying to allow for different amenities covering what once had to be a motor court. Secondly, the only way to get from the front entrance to the room (in my case, it was on the FIRST floor) was on some steps, making it very dolly-unfriendly (and this hotel has four dollies!). And while the kind lady from the front desk offered assistance upon my arrival, this doesn't erase the glaring weakness. Otherwise, you had to stroll around the parking lot to get to your entrance. And none of the doors are sliding doors (BE WARNED), as every entrance/exit door just screams 1960s-era hotels. It was hard enough having to get in when unloading, as you have to use your room key on a pad. After day trips and evening eats, the pad then wasn't so bad. But what was worse was getting out! You had to push a button................several times.....................before finally getting a green light. You'd think technology would be more advanced than that to allow access. All in all, the service at the desk was very good and helpful. Housekeeping did have one blunder during the week in fulfilling what needed to be refreshed in the room (and that was via a checklist due to COVID-19 restrictions), but the incident was quickly resolved. Good visit as it was, with a good room, but that's the least of the problems. Right now, if they could just update the doors at each entrance/exit to today's standards, not to mention adding a dolly ramp from the lobby to the corridors, then this Texan will come back for another visit.

From checking in to the room, to the cleanliness of the room, the night was great, breakfast was hot and grab&go, was about to get a late check out with no problem.! Very great staff, and always great attitude.

We stayed here many times as a child and I looked forward to sharing he experience with my children. Housekeeping came by around 10:30 we weren't ready to leave the room yet so when we did leave the room about 11 I stopped by the front desk and said we are leaving for the day so housekeeping could come by. Came back at 2pm. They had not come yet we got ready for our function and left again. We returned at 7:30 they still had never come. I stopped back by the front desk and said can we please get some towels as housekeeping never came today and they said we will send them right up. Came back around an hour later. Still no towels. Called the front desk and asked for towels again. They said they would send us some and at 11:30 we had to go down and they finally gave us some towels. I stopped by the front desk in the morning and they were tokenly concerned with my complaint. But only offered what I felt was an indifferent apology. Too many hotels in San Angelo to return to this one.

We went to escape and unwind for the weekend. The kids LOVED swimming in the indoor pool. They also enjoyed the small arcade. They didn't stay out of the pool long enough to play putt putt or air hockey, but those were available. The decor was nice, the inside was comfortable and clean. Our room was near the pool. The beds were softer than I prefer, but we still all slept well. A/C worked great and was so quiet we couldn't even hear it! Our room was clean and comfortable. We would recommend staying here and will most likely return again ourselves.

The interior pools, miniature golf, and arcade are very popular with families. Good free breakfast included. Two blocks off Block One, the historic block of San Angelo. Undergoing some remodeling now.

Our PCSP group went down to San Angelo for an event last weekend and in the past they had stayed at this hotel so we decided to as well.. I a glad we did, it is an older hotel, but nice and clean, you could smell the clean when you walked into the lobby. They were very willing to work with us as well on rooms and rates! The sweet lady that runs the bar and restaurant was awesome, we stayed there all Friday night for drinks and great food, really no need to go anywhere else... Thank you staff for taking care of our group, we will be there next year for the parade and will stay with you guys!! We will be taking our kids and grand kids down in a few months to enjoy the atrium with the pool and different games.. Great place to stay!

We've stayed here 3 years in a row now on our way thru San Angelo. The area surrounding it is very nice and the dogs love it. There were just many things this time that cumulatively were not impressive. I was looking forward to swimming, but the pool was closed. Ok I get that. Gone is the breakfast buffet and instead they bring you a small heated up frozen breakfast biscuit. The doors and general maintenance is deteriorating. One guy online reported bedbugs, but we didn't see evidence of that. The checkin guy was sick and coughing into his hand, then using the same hand to give us our invoice and keys. He finally relented to the woman next to him. Probably won't be back.

We stayed here for the cowboy gathering in September. Rooms were clean, and check in was easy. Quiet and right downtown, next to the river. Not a large breakfast, but adequate. Will consider staying here again.

Pearl on the Concho is a unique place to stay. Staff was extremely helpful and courteous. Room was comfortable, clean, updated. The huge indoor atrium with pool, putt putt, arcade games is a family feature not seen anywhere else I have been. Onsite restaurant and bar just round off the great value and uniqueness of a Pearl on the Concho river. We will be back!!!
