« If this is the BEST western?!? »

Where to start. Elevator not working. Receptionist admitted it has only worked for 2 days out of the last 3 years. I'm fairly fit but lord knows how others would cope with carrying a 25kg bag up to the 4th floor?! The so called gym consists of a spin bike with 1 pedal, a flimsy cross trainer held together with tape and a toy multi gym with tangled cables. I gave up. Most concern was the constant chirp of several smoke detectors indicating the batteries needed changing. Breakfast was basic. Certainly not the BEST Western.

    « Great Beds »

This hotel has the best beds and pillows!!! I have never been so pleased I slept so good. The rooms are super clean and spacious! I loved the views Parral is a beautiful city. We were there on business and even though we were only there for 2 days and 1 night I enjoyed it very much. Thankfully we were only on the 2nd floor. The elevator is not working and I can't imagine carrying all our luggage and our 3 year old past the 2nd floor!! The breakfast was decent! We went down for breakfast at 8am and they were already out of orange juice. We will definitely stay here again!

    « Excellent hotel »

The staff is very friendly. I booked a room online motivated by the good reviews on TripAdvisor. At our arrival at the hotel I was pleasantly surprised to find a crib for my daughter. My wife liked the room and the jacuzzi. We stayed two nights, the room was clean and I highly recommend this hotel. The only bad thing about this place is the wifi: it just did not work. Overall this hotel is excellent.

« Nice spacious rooms with great views »

The hotel is very clean and the staff is friendly and kind, with the exception of one cleaning lady who was intolerant of small children haha, she would roll her eyes at our kids and call them skinny cows lol... I do have to mention that the elevator is out of service and by reading other comments seems like it's been the case for a while. That was very unfortunate because as I mentioned I have small children who struggled to go up and down the stairs on their own so they ended up having to be carried. And then my elderly grandmother visited and struggled greatly to go up and down the flights of stairs and the obvious inconvenience is having to carry your heavy luggage up all those stairs. And the other sort of inconvenience is if you leave the hotel you always have to get your key card re set, we forgot a few times and ended up having to go all the way back down to reception to get it done, very tiring, they said it was for our safety I guess. Other than that, the breakfast was great, the beds comfortable, the shower warm and the premises clean. Would definitely consider staying there again IF the elevator is finally fixed.

    « No elevator working »

Is a nice hotel, but elevator is no working from months, and the air conditioner is not enough to cool the small rooms. Small bathroom too. There's smalls pool and gym at second floor. There's free WiFi in all hotel. Staff is very kind. Nearby to downtown. Rooms and hallway have carpet. It was hard to regulate water temperature during shower

« Worst hotel experience ever »

This hotel has everything negative, beginning with the horrible service and attitude of the people who work there, nasty "free breakfast" ( got sick), super bad manager attitude never face the customer, elevators never work, A/C didn't work and they gave me an attitude about it for complaining, documents and payment is always a problem because of the "systems". Not recommended at all.

    « Not Good »

Front door was locked and had to use a side door no sign....had to figure it out on our own. Check in took forever. Wanted to use American Express and it took the check in clerk about 10 minutes to discover that they don't accept AX Cards. Elevators were out service...not good when you have a bad back and are on the third floor. Smallest toilet facility I have ever seen in a hotel. Its about the size of a large business class toilet. No privacy with the shower facility either. No bath tub....just shower. words to describe, just bad.

Thanks for your comments it help us to improve. Best regards!!

    « Awesome »

Very conveniently located near many historic monuments like the colonial plaza, cathedral, and palace. Rooms are very well equipped and maintained. Service of excellent quality. Overall, this fantastic hotel is highly recommended.

    « Uncomfortable »

I stood only one night but that was enough for me to decide never to go back (at least not in a couple of years). The hotel has potential and I believe it has the most beautiful rooms in the city (compared to other hotels) but the elevator didn't work (it has 5 floors, imagine) and they were out of keys, so every time I wanted to go out and come back, I had to ask someone at the reception to open the door for me. I have a bad back and I told them, they then changed my room from the third to the second floor. I could manage that, but I'm thinking on peopel with disabilities (they never told me the elevators were out of order when I made the reservation). The staff was, in general, very corteus, except for a girl in the reception, it seemed like she would rather be somewhere else but there. I wouldn't recommend it, I'll give them another chance in a couple of years.

    « Great Location »

Location is great, able to walk to places nearby. Hotel very clean and very nice. Only inconvenience was elevator sometimes was not working and we were on 3rd floor. I highly recommend it. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was included!!

    « My rate »

Nice place, and average price, but they could do better. The lift wasn't working and the parking lot is to small. I didn't eat at the restaurant so I can't say any thing about it. The rooms were to is located at city center and every thing is really close.

    « No working elevators »

Beware that there are no rooms on the first floor, so you have to go up 2 flights of stairs to the 2nd floor IF you get lucky to find an available room there. 4 flights of stairs to the 3rd floor. They were very concerned about re-painting the whole hotel including the rooms, so the paint smell was very strong and concentrated. The hotel is new and there was no real need for repainting, but they were getting ready for an inspection. Those resources would have been better allocated to FIX the elevators. The card key stopped working every single time, so you have to go back to the front desk every time you leave the room for more than an hour it seemed. Lots of fun going up and down those stairs to get your key reprogrammed. We left the hotel on the 3rd day, had to find a different hotel for our remaining 2 weeks. What a shame. The linens and bathroom weren't that clean either. There were hairs on the pillows and sheets, and IN the shower stuck to the wall. The shower is not private or separate, it has a glass door and fairly visible to someone coming in the room or by the sink to brush their teeth or something like that. OK if you are traveling as a couple, but not so with coworkers. The phone was not working, so we asked for it to be replaced or fixed. They sent someone with an iron instead lol. All in all, we were glad to leave.

« Could have been better »

The Location of the hotel in the center of the city is nice, food was very average and the hotel staff was nice. However we spent a week there with no TV service. The TV in the room was without cable service. The hotel did not seem much interested to find a solution to the TV issue and never told anyone who came in to rent a room. It could be a top notch hotel but missing management and direction. At night the girl at the front desk was always busy with boyfriends and guys coming in to talk to her. My wife was very turned off by that. We did truly enjoy the bed and pillows were great : )

« Great Location! Good Hotel »

Overall the hotel is probably the best option in Parral if you don't want surprises, nothing to scream about, standard Best Western quality. A common complain between the group that stayed with us in the hotel was the bathroom size, speed of service in general and room service hours. The location is great, right in the middle with a great view from the pool area.

« good hotel for the price »

we stayed here two nights in july, 2015 and were quite pleased with this hotel. there are many options in Parral. I'm glad we chose this hotel. the front desk service was outstanding whenever we needed assistance; the TV wouldn't turn on. the problem was quickly and efficiently remedied. the other feature we really took advantage of was the onsite restaurant. good Mexian food at very reasonable prices. this was a plus for us as the town is located inside a valley and we really didn't want to drive up and down hills looking for a restaurant. the hotel is conveniently located close to the main plaza and cathedral which is only about a ten minute walk from the hotel. around the plaza you'll find souvenirs and whatever else you might be looking for in Mexico. we ate at Pimienta (pepper); a place that sells delicious corn or flour gorditas at very reasonable prices located just across from plaza Juarez. oh and you don't have to pay for the free wifi; another good feature s fewer and fewer hotels are offering free wifi. we also didn't have to pay for the onsite parking.

« Friendly staff with generous hearts! »

We are a couple of 60 year old "Vanabonds" driving back to Canada in our '91 Westy, Bonnie, from Zihuatanejo and stopped at the Best Western to see if we could park overnight and sleep in our van. They very generously gave the okay and we promised to eat at their restaurant ( although they didn't ask for that) We are constantly amazed AND delighted with how kind people are and these folks deserved recognition! Thanks so much! it saved us the hassle of packing in suitcases etc. and let us stay in the comfort of our "home"
