"Modest, clean cabins"

User 24/01/2019

I stayed here two nights, and the hotel was nice. It's actually a series of cabins, with a very nice restaurant in the complex (Quinta del Bosque). With the exception of a young lady with an attitude working in reception, everything was fine. My room was clean; I loved the hard bed; and the heavy bed covers kept me warm through the cold nights. There was plenty of hot water, and there was secure parking on the property. My first night the WiFi in my room didn't work, and the lady with the attitude said that she'd fix it, but did nothing. The second night there was a nicer person at reception, and she quickly adjusted the antennae, and I had a decent signal after that.

"Awful client service and poor reservation process. Never schedule with this irresponsible people and hotel"

User 18/10/2018

I reserved by phone and they never sent me the paying info, so 3 days after that, I called them back just to know that my reservation was lost because a lack of pay (they never sent me the info!!!!) and there were no more room on the dates I have planned my trip. Nancy (who was the lady that take my reservation in first time) didn't explain me a reason why this happened. Alberto, who I called 3 days later, never gave me back a phone call to clarify my situation. Claudia, from the hotel group in Guadalajara, 6 days later, just offered me a more expensive room, twice from the original reservartion cost, and they were no open to negociate the price. They made me lose a reservation, time that I could used in searching for another hotel options and energy. I strongly reccomend to not schedule with this irresponsible people and hotel.

"Muy mal/ really bad hotel"

User 26/09/2018

El sitio es muy bonito, la camarista amable. Pesima calidad, almohadas sucias y viejas. Sin agua caliente por 2 días y toallas rotas, una lastima para mi luna de miel. The place is pretty and with a kind housekeeper. the quality it is too bad with dirty and old pillows, 2 days without hot water in this kind of weather. It is a shame for my honeymoon

"A very good experience"

User 13/08/2018

This was our first time here. We had a very good experience. The staff was very polite and helpful. Our cabin was cozy and nice. Just right for us. We definitely used the wood that was provided for the fireplace. Everything was positive. We only wish there was more light in the room at night. We'll be back soon.

"Nice property."

brichied, Minneapolis 13/01/2018

Were were three couples using three cabins. All were clean, cute... pretty much like a cabin in northern Minnesota. Ours was a single room with fireplace and bathroom. The employee who showed us our rooms was as thorough as at a 5 star hotel, showing us every single amenity and how they worked. It smelled smokey when we arrived and I can understand why... you do have to like the fire to keep warm at night. We were toasty but our friends who had cabins with bedrooms separate from the fireplace, were freezing. The bed might have been the hardest I've ever slept on. We liked the place even with the hard bed. Very charming setting and grounds.

"Nice Place, Lousy Service"

User 27/12/2017

Nice and cozy cabins with one big king sized bed on the bottom floor and two single beds on the top floor. Nice surroundings. Service is lousy: no fire wood nor toilet paper, you need to “remind” front desk that you “need” these things. Parking lot is not as accessible as it seems. You have to go around it to reach your cabin. An access from the parking lot would be a practical addition. Other than that, it is genuinely a nice place and at walking distance from downtown.

"For the Adventurous"

376bernardm, Ajijic, JA, Mexico 15/10/2017

The room was quite small. Bathroom was very small, with a limited closet. The bed was Very hard and made sleeping uncomfortable. Staff was very friendly, even if the language barrier made checking in, asking for additional services, and checking out a bit of a problem. The grounds and the surrounding area are spectacularly beautiful

"35th Anniversary"

portillomayorga, Chula Vista, California 10/07/2017

We paid for this hotel 3 moths and advance, and when we got their they did not have the 7 cabins I paid for, therefore they want to separate the group by sending two parties to another hotel. They changed my reservation in order to accommodate the entire group, they reimburse only 250 pesos when I paid 1,400 pesos per room

"Recommended hotel"

LegalMexican, Mexico 11/06/2016

This hotel consists of small, unconnected cabins in a lovely setting. The cabins could be a bit larger, but they work well as is. Well-appointed and well cared for. It has all the usual offerings of hotels but goes one step further. There are DVD players in the cabins and a large collection of movie DVDs in the lobby that you can choose from. No extra charge. I liked that. My wife and I watched two movies. And the cabins have fireplaces due to the generally cool weather in Mazamitla.

"Weekend Hotel stay in Mazamitla, Jalisco"

rudygdl, Guadalajara, Mexico 26/10/2015

The Best Western Hotel/Cabañas, on Prolongacion Vicente Guerrero #100, in The Magical Village of Mazamitla This Hotel/Cabañas is located some five minutes drive from Mazamitla center and two hours average drive from Guadalajara. The check-in office is along the main road to Mazamitla. There you will be assigned to the reserved cabaña which is fabulously situated in this mountain ridge. We had an unfortunate circumstance with Hurricane Patricia, the strongest of all times hitting the Jalisco Pacific Coast, which put a strain on the roofing of some cabañas wich started to leak after the prolonged rains. The sleeping arranged is very good and so is the kitchenette in my cabaña. The Hotel has a very good restaurant La Quinta. The selection of food is very good and that all made our stay, in this surrounding woody area, a very pleasant one.

"Awesome restaurant"

Lovesbeach_9, Guadalajara, Mexico 21/07/2015

We did not stay at this hotel, we just stopped to est here sine the restaurant across the street was closed. The food was awesome, we asked for the parrillada for four people, we were only three people, it consists of chicken, beef, chorizo and lots of shrimp, it was delicious!!! The price is reasonable, service great, decoration was rustic, will defintely go back.

"Mazamitla hideaway"

JohnFoxy2, Victoria, BC 24/02/2012

For the area this is one of the nicest places. The restaurant was also a 7 out of 10 with typical mexican food.
