Best Western Plus Longview - University Hotel

This hotel has great customer service. The park area around the pool is great if you're traveling with pets or just want to sit outside. I was impressed with how quiet the hotel was. We have 2 small dogs that hear every sound. They actually were relaxed the whole night. That's a first!! This is a wonder place to stay.

First time to stay at this property. Will definitely stay again and recommend to friends and family. It is pet friendly, great location. It has a pool and work out facilities. And the full hot breakfast buffet is the best I have had since the pandemic

This hotel staff that I came encounter with was very friendly, great customer service. The rooms were clean and comfortable, shower was outstanding, the breakfast was very hot and tasty, the set up for this hotel is very moderate.

We stayed in a king suite kitchenette- the carpet floors were wet- pretty much all 3 days we were there- our room smelled like stale urine. The room was large. Bathroom was huge. Water pressure was awesome! They were out of clean towels the first night due to a fully booked hotel- but got fresh towels later. Same with breakfast the first morning..a football team was there- but next 2 mornings a fully stocked breakfast eggs,sausage,bagels,muffins,waffles,yogurt,coffee…only ice on first floor.. quiet hotel when we were there. Pool had a baptism one day when we were there. Overall it was nice- just didn't like the smell of the room.

The handicap suite was in the THIRD floor. What?! I wasn't told where the elevator was, where the other entrances/exits were, where/if there were luggage carts, any directions on where my room was located, nothing. “Sign here and here's your key” and I had to hound the woman for all other info. We had extremely noisy neighbors for both nights, blasting music that shook the walls and slamming doors over and over. I called the office multiple times both nights and they were minimal help. No apology, no offer of any compensation, not even an understanding tone of voice, nothing. Those people in the neighboring room should've been evicted after night one. I got maybe 7 hours total, both nights of very interrupted sleep which has caused me to be late getting home because I'm too tired to drive. The AC in the room could barely keep up. The bathroom was like a sauna - so steamy and hot that you couldn't stay in there long even when no one had showered. The automatic door button for the handicap room didn't work so I wrenched my back trying to get the luggage cart in/out. Also, friends staying in different rooms on different floors had issues of people screaming and fighting in the hallways. I will never go back to this hotel or suggest it to anyone. It was like a party college dorm. I guess aptly named Best Western University.

We stayed at this BW the night before a funeral. The front desk staff were wonderful; our room was clean & roomy, very comfy. The A/C was adequate, shower great and there were shelves in the bathroom for storage - nice! We didn't get to sample breakfast; there were baseball teams staying there & they wiped out the hot food in one swipe. But the coffee was plentiful and tasty, AND there 's a Cracker Barrel next door - it wasn't free, but it was delish!

The hotel itself wasn't too bad, but our room had a pervasive mold/mildew smell. Had it not been late, and just a one night stay we would have tried to change rooms. In addition, there was extremely noisy elevator work in process at 10:00 PM, but it stopped after some complaints. Pros: - Nice room (besides mold smell) - Good breakfast - Pet friendly Cons: - Mold smell in room - Not sure why any manager would have work done at 10:00 PM

Customer service was impeccable. Comfy beds, sufficient accommodations although need updates. A/c didn't work properly. Ice machine on floor inoperable. Staff member smoking right outside hotel doors. Didn't use workout room or eat breakfast but breakfast area seemed clean.

I think that Best Western is a wonderful place and I would tell anyone. I think the price is good I would like to know more about the handicap rooms that they have available but all the rooms are good

The staff went above and beyond to help us be as comfortable as possible, which was such a pleasant experience and made our long distance traveling much more enjoyable. The hotel was in a safe well lit location that was literally right off the interstate! This hotel was the cleanest hotel we had stayed in yet and we were traveling cross country so we had been in a lot of hotels by then! It was absolutely family friendly which made everything so much easier on us. They had an amazing hot breakfast that unfortunately we missed, but they had a little store right next to the front desk that had everything you could need! I was so relieved when I was able to get our breakfast and drinks without having to make a separate stop for breakfast before getting back on the road! They had so many options that the kids loved! I stayed with my 13, 10, 7, and 1 year old so the fact that my stay was so enjoyable helped me out more than anyone will ever know! Both night and day front desk employees were SO FRIENDLY and went above and beyond to make us as comfortable as possible. I Will absolutely stay here again if we ever pass through again!!

This was our second stay at the Best Western Plus Longview. We travel with our two dogs and this property is perfect with nice grounds in the rear of the property where we can safely walk the dogs. The rooms are spotless, beautifully appointed and large. The breakfast room is off the lobby and very large. There is a wide variety of offerings for breakfast - nicely presented and fresh. We could not ask for a better place to stay. We make the trip frequently and will stay at the BW Longview each time.

Great experience, very sweet people and great customer service! There was a random jacket left in our room but we just kept it there. With being 18 I wasnt expecting to be able to find a hotel room, but I got very lucky!

The rooms are always very clean and everything works like it should. The only complaint that I might have would be the TV channel guide is not user friendly. The hallways were clean and didn't smell like smoke!

Overall this hotel was perfect for our one night stay. The only issue we had with the room was our tub did not drain well. It was a decent size and we were able to fit a queen air mattress. There was a decent breakfast and the room was clean and the bed was comfy.

Carpets needed cleaned and with bad odor. Pool was filthy with sign up stating that it was being cleaned but it was not cleaned and it was very hot. We were there for plenty of time for the pool to be cleaned and enjoyed. No room service/cleaning for the entire 4 days we were there. Had to go up and ask for towels and supplies for the room. Very uncomfortable arguing going on between staff at the front desk. Made us uncomfortable. Breakfast was great. Good food, clean area and fresh food. This worker was on top of her game. The only one that was, I might add..

I noticed the wet dog smell in the lobby and let it go, It wasn't until fleas bit me that it became a bad hotel. If you love wet dog and fleas, this is the Hotel for you! PS..it's hard to enjoy your breakfast with dogs staring at your plate! Leave your dogs at home!

I absolutely Love how clean this hotel is. The staff were so attentive and kind to our family. Especially the kids. The pool was clean and beautiful! Breakfast was yummy as well! It was a great experience and look forward to staying here again!

Let me start by saying the front desk staff were very polite. That is the extent of my positive review. Otherwise the hallways smelled like a weed dispensary. The room was muggy and smelled musty. A/C wasn't working well at all. Our neighbor had a large husky who barked anytime we moved or got up to go to the bathroom. The toilets had a hard time flushing and required multiple flushes for #1…. My stay was non-refundable otherwise I would've left and stayed across the street.

I booked one day ahead and was surprised to get such a good rate. This hotel was modern and very clean. I wish all Best Westerns were this nice. I will be staying here again and telling my friends to check it out.

We were visiting for a couple of days due to a couple of Family Reunion . We had stayed at this hotel a few years back and were really impressed, therefore decided to try it again. One complaint was that the room smelled like it was wet.

The service was excellent, Christina is awesome she always makes our check in smooth and easy, I don't even have to tell her my name she remembers us from our other trips. Excellent customer service. We use the best worse than University in Longview Texas on every hunting and fishing trip that we have. We stay at this particular best Western at least six or seven times a year

Overall the experience was quite pleasant. The hotel notified us a few days in advance to let us know the elevator was out and would not be repaired till the following week, giving us an option of cancelling at no charge. We explained that due to my age and asthma, if at all possible we needed to be on the 1st floor, of which they managed to accommodate. The staff were amazing and friendly. The only drawback was the swimming pool. We had our grandson with us. The pool needed to be cleaned and the water was cloudy so we didn't feel comfortable getting in the water.

This BW sets the example for all to follow. Great staff and facilities. Hot breakfast made with care and very tasty. Housekeeping goes the extra mile to make sure rooms and general use areas are very clean and sanitized. Beds sre very comfortable.

Well, we arrived and were told that their one elevator was out of service. Well things happen, but the front desk person offered no apology, no complimentary bottle of water or a snack, no one was there to help carry guest bags up two or three flights of stairs, So we go to haul our bags up the stairs and the stairwell was filthy. Litter, very dirty carpets, walls needing paint. Then as we go into hall, we are overcome by the smell of pot and smoke odors. Disgusting. And the room? Smelled of mildew, unclean. Just to top it off the second floor ice machine did not work. These owners and managers do not care. Too many other properties within 5 minutes, Do not stop here! Ps- The heavy pot odor was still in the hall the next morning. What a terrible property,

Convenient location, quiet area. Nice stay. Quick and easy check-in. recognized as rewards member. Hot breakfast, good options. easy access off interstate to hotel location. Closeby WalMart and other shops.

Our room was clean and cool, the shower area and bathroom was excellent. Our bed was comfortable and clean and the carpet was clean, even under the corner table. We will definitely stay again when we are in the area.

This is a very nice hotel. Our room was superb and big enough for my husband, our two pets and myself to have a comfortable stay. The pet area was close and convenient to our room which made their travel experience very easy and non stressful.

When I tell you this hotel is great that's an understatement. From being pet friendly, to having a great reward system, and the rooms are all more than affordable for the experience you get. Pet fee per night was reasonable. I mean no complaints. Breakfast was amazing for the lack of a better word. Definitely booking here from now on. No need to look anywhere else.

Spent first night here as it was very close to work place. Spent second night because the first night was so good. Hunter, the front desk clerk, was a prime example of great customer service. He was very friendly, very competent, very helpful. The room was clean, spacious, welcoming with spacious bathroom, desk area for working and a chair to chill in. There are many choices for lodging in this area but we will return here when in the area.

Very nice property. Well maintained. The night manager, Aaron, provided exceptional service. Other than that -- unresponsive. I even pointed out Aaron's exceptional service to the manager, who seemed indifferent to my comments. I was charged $125.44 after I was assured the charge would be a total of $72.45, including tax. I have a paid invoice for the $72.45 amount. The $125.44 was charged to my bank account. The property said there is nothing it can do. Rip off. Thanks, Aaron for your excellent service.

I had stayed at this hotel a couple of years ago and it was nice and new. It has since been run down. It has not been properly maintained. The repairs that had been made were poorly done. The entire hotel smelled from the moment we entered the lobby. Our room had an odor but could not quite determine what the odor was. Beds are very uncomfortable. The walls are paper thin and you can hear every truck going down the interstate. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

I have two boys playing at a baseball tournament in Longview over the weekend. Both on two separate teams, both teams staying at Best Western. Not only were the rooms and environment clean, the staff were so friendly and helpful. Plus, extremely patient as we had two excited baseball teams.

I was spending five days in Longview Tx. by myself. The hotel is so reasonably priced that I was concerned that I was visiting a not so nice hotel. I was surprised by the hot, tasty, plentiful breakfast each morning. The entire staff went out of their way to make me feel at home. The fitness center was well stocked with machines and free weights. Although I didnt use the rool, I walked around checking it out and found a haven.

The hotel is off 1-20 next to a Cracker Barrel. I was afraid it would be noisy because of the highway but I was wrong. The hotel room was large, modern, and clean. I opted for the ground floor since the elevator did not work. The staff was very nice and accomodating. Since I am a gold member I was upgraded to a suite which was very nice. The bed was extremely comfortable. If there was any noise it was because there is a 1-2 inch gap from the bottom of the door to the floor. However, even though there was noise in the hallway it didn't start until after 7 am. I would definitely stay here again however I will never make the same mistake of eating at the Cracker Barrel again! PS This hotel serves a real breakfast, not like the grab-and-go at the Comfort Suites or other hotels.

This is the only place I book when I back home to see family. They are pet friendly and this means everything to me and my family. I love the service and the staff. They are always friendly and helpful.

The halls were dirty. The elevator was filthy. The room stank! Shower sprayed all over. There was a line of people to check in the first time I tried to check in. No one was at the front desk. I'm usually a fan of best western plus, but this one disappointed! I won't have stayed if I had the family with me.

Okay, the good: The beds seem clean. The guy at the front desk made a small effort. The bad: This place smells awful-and I mean awful. I have stayed in many pet friendly motels but this place is the most foul smelling motel I have EVER stayed. The guy at the desk sprayed some sort of deodorizer after I complained so now it smells like terrible perfumed yuck. There is no amount of smelly stuff that can be sprayed to make this place passable. The windows in the lobby are dirty. There were dead bugs on the floor of our room. I travel this route often but I will never stay here again. What a disappointment! The next time you're looking for a pet friendly spot, pass this one by.

I stayed here on business for a month. The breakfast was good and the staff were friendly. Restaurant next door if you don't feel like driving anywhere for dinner. Walmart store located less than 2 miles away. Would stay here again.

The property has been newly remodeled unfortunately that's as far as it goes. The property is filthy and the carpets are filthy. Room was clean and had amenities. Breakfast was average, no waffles or pancakes. Over all ok for what it is. Pool area filthy. Gym Clean

The rooms and lobby were very clean. The staff were courteous and friendly. Fast and easy check-in and check-out. Great price. Easy on and off to interstate. Would stay again. Would recommend to others.

Enjoyed the stay I would stay here again I'm thinking about coming back to stay in June for a few nights with my family and friends . They loved the stay an this time we going swimming an then go out to eat then come back to the room and get a good night rest

We stayed here for a weekend baseball tournament with several other families. The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly. Room smelled clean when we first opened the door which is very unusual for hotel rooms, even higher end hotels (usually you are greeted with a musty odor at first until the AC has been turned down for a little bit). Will definitely stay here again.

Nice clean and quiet hotel that I feel like is a great value for the money. Staff is super friendly and the room and beds are comfortable for me as a business traveler. I have stayed in other hotels in the area and this one by far is the best bet for the money.

really nice place, well worth the money. We upgraded to a suite for an additional $5 and it was nice to have so much space. Very good breakfast, coffee available 24 hours a day. Close to restaurants. We will be back

We enjoyed our stay. The value is fantastic. Even the suites are affordable. We stayed one night to see Rangerette Revels down in Kilgore. I don't have 200 characters worth of things to say... lol....

Only stayed here for one night while in town on business, but would definitely make use of it for longer if I ever find opportunity and need. The elevator was a little jerky, and the breakfast could start a half hour earlier (had to be out the door by 0630 to make my appointment), but both of those are minor. The staff were very professional and went out of their way to make sure guests were comfortable and any issues were quickly resolved. As to the room, it was clean, with a nice TV that actually worked, the fridge/freezer and microwave were both good size and worked very well for heating up my dinner. All I can say about the shower, is that the water pressure was great and the hot water endless. Overall, this is definitely a good place to stay whether you are passing through for a single night or in the area for a few days.

I stay here because we didnt have lights and water in our home during the storm. My family and I are very pleased with our stay. All the staff was very nice. This is one of best hotels we ever been too. We cant wait to book here again

We were traveling from AZ to GA and stopped in Longview for our second night on the road. We were greeted by Hunter and he was in the middle of handling a very busy check-in for several people. The hotel had an issue with someone setting the fire sprinklers the night before so they were dealing with issues in several of the rooms. However, Hunter was amazing! He was busy doing so many things and handling every issue with kindness and great service. The pool was open and our grandchildren enjoyed that. Parking for our trucks with trailers was convenient in the back. Cracker Barrel was right next to the hotel and enjoyed dinner there. I would highly recommend this Best Western!! Also pet friendly!

The desk clerks were extremely helpful and professional. We had an unusual request of the night clerk and he went above and beyond to help us. We appreciated their professionalism and will be staying at this hotel again.

The hotel was clean, beds were comfortable, staff was pleasant. They offered breakfast in house, while other hotels were not offering breakfast or only offering breakfast in a bag, due to Covid restrictions. Two servers served all patrons, so as to reduce risk of infection that a buffet would have provided.

In this time of pandemic we have found ourselves needing to travel for work. While the hotels have been reasonably clean (knock on wood), the breakfasts have been uniformly disappointing. We understand that the breakfast buffets cannot open. But some chains, e.g. IHG, neither mentioned it on their websites nor discounted their prices (at first), as if it didn't matter. It undoutedly mattered(s), especially in March and April when no restaurants were open, except for drive-through. Hotels, probably grateful to have a reason for dropping an onerous expense, have continued to offer granola bars and water bottles. This was the only hotel to have given us a great hot breakfast in to-go bags. Honestly, all hotels should have been doing this all along. NO ONE wants to eat breakfast with strangers walking around unkempt and in their jammies. Best Western plus have definitely risen in my eyes. But their website, with the captcha and security measures of Ft. Knox, leaves a lot to be desired.

Visit was during Coronavirus scare. The hotel was very clean and grab bags are made up for their breakfast. The freeway noise is very noticeable, but the a/can can minimize it. The Cracker Barrel restaurant next door is convenient for take out orders. I'd have no problem staying here again. Other restaurants are within walking distance.

We had an excellent night at the BWPlus Longview. The room was perfect, the amenities worked well with no problems. The office rep was very helpful and answered all our questions thoroughly. The beds were very comfortable and checkout was flawless. We will return to this hotel next time in town!

Really love a hotel that has a couch or sitting area as well as the sleeping area. Makes your stay feel more like home. Our room had 2 flat screen TVs. so if you really want to watch TV in bed. you still can. My wife and I really enjoyed our stay. The staff was wonderful, the lobby and grounds were clean and safe. The hotel lobby was neat and clean, Grace at the front desk was friendly, the price was right!! The room was clean and we felt very safe. The breakfast had a good variety and the dining room was clean. Easy access off and on the interstate.

This property is probably the best motel I have stayed at in a long time ,Clean wlll kept and the friendliest staff you would want to encounter. As an added bonus the Cracker Barrel restaurant is a shrt walk across the parking lot.

Hotel staff at check in were very helpful and friendly. Registration was accomplished in a timely manner. Room was clean, air was fresh and every thing was in order, Bed was made up with crisp, clean linen and bath was clean and well provisioned with soap, shampoo and towels. air conditioner was quiet and worked well, without blowing directly on bed.

I stayed at the BestWestern Plus for the weekend to attend a Women's Conference that was held in the area. My husband and I enjoyed our stay for the weekend. I would recommend them to anyone staying in the area.

Celebrate Recovery Broken Chains 2nd Annual South Central Region gathering. We booked our room and arrived at the hotel with a very warm welcome. The desk attendant was very charming and sweet. Very helpful in suggesting a place to eat and could say nothing bad about the service. The room was what I gave this a low rating. I was in a room on the 3rd floor where right above me was some kind of motor that ran all night. I might have slept 3 hours. I put ear plugs in which helped alittle but only after I couldn't sleep. Anyway it might have gotten a 5 star except for that. Breakfast was great too

Everything at this hotel location was Awesome! From beginning to end! I usually don't feel this way after a hotel stay so to speak so highly of this one and the staff you have to trust it's true! The man that welcomed me at the Front desk was super Awesome, The lady in the breakfast area, Dee, was just fabulous! Every one I came in contact at this location made me smile and feel welcome!

Traveling from Utah to Florida on my road trip I ended up in Longview, TX seeking a place to stay. I checked a few reviews and almost moved on before seeing this Best Western. I have stayed at Best Western's before and had good experiences so I decided to check this place out. On approach, it appeared to be a well maintained hotel. I walked in and was greeted by a pleasant young lady behind the desk. I had found a rate on the internet which she honored and checked me in timely. I went to my room and found the accommodations were very nice. Clean, well lit room with all lights and outlets functioning as expected. No odors and the bathroom looked very up to date. The shower head was modern and clean, working well. I quickly felt comfortable and at "home" with the place. I got a great night's rest. I actually used the laundry services on the second floor and everything went well there. Breakfast was typical but good. Self-made waffles, eggs, sausage, bacon, potatoes, juices, milk, yogurt, cereal, a variety fo breads, muffins, and bagels. My experience overall was GREAT!!! Customer service was excellent and if I'm ever in east Texas again, I now have a place I can count on when stopping through. Thanks for a great experience!

This property appears to be either brand new or freshly remodeled. Very nice rooms and friendly staff. Parking is tight and there are many areas designated as fire lanes where you cant park if you are towing a boat or other kind of trailer.

Room was very spacious and clean. Comfortable beds. May need to request more towels, only two per room, front desk can assist you with providing more. The breakfast bar was not as described although may have just been an off day.

Front desk is stellar as usual, turndown every day, thin walls just like every other hotel but can't knock them for that. Also hot tip - There is a Cracker Barrel in the same parking lot, however before you pump your fist, be warned that it is the slowest and most bland tasting Cracker Barrel you will eat at. Even ordering online takes an hour. When you go to pick up expect another 15 min wait before they bring you your food.

We had an excellent experience at this hotel. The check in process was fast and the staff was super friendly, even at 11:00 at night. The room was clean and comfortable. My only suggestion would be to turn the air down in the room prior to guest arriving. The room was stuffy but quickly cooled off once when we turned the air down. The breakfast was one of the best I have had at a hotel in a long time. Plenty of food and the staff was on top of replenishing it when it was low. They were also able to accommodate a late check out. Kids enjoyed the pool, although, the landscaping around to pool could use some help. Several dead plants. Overall, excellent stay.

This hotel had a nice appearance, clean inside. Side entrance was nasty, there were cigarette buds everywhere, it smelled of cheap beer that someone spilled. Our room was nice and clean but it reeked of urine! Remote control needed batteries, and front desk said: no batteries were available until manager got around to making the purchase the following day. :(

This was our college bound trip for our son, needed something close to his school, It fit the bill perfectly, Great front desk staff, Hunter and Rebecca were most helpful in guiding use around the area and the computer help. Our rooms were clean, beds were very comfy, bathromms well equiped, and breakfast was always ready as stated, 6-9 and 7-10 on the week-ends. We'll be back,

Nice and clean place and the check in was painless. The lady at the desk was very courteous. Room was nice but we reserved a king bed and got two queens but really not a big deal. The toilet is the lowest toilet I've ever seen in a hotel. If I was a senior I think I would need help getting off of it. The tv is an RCA and the sound was terrible. If Best Western is going to keep up with the competition they need to upgrade. Other than that the hotel is awesome.

The rooms are clean, the staff is friendly and the price is not bad. I really enjoyed the breakfasts. They even had a sign that said there were dairy free and gluten free options available. I also enjoyed the fitness room.

We requested a top floor and got it. always sleep well in the beds. Had good water pressure! Porr girls doing the breakfast got a later start so that was running beind but still just what we expected and needed.

Our baseball team booked here for a tournament. The staff were very nice and accommodating. Rooms were clean and very roomy. The complimentary breakfast was awesome! Brenda made sure the food items stayed stocked up and that everyone had what they needed. We would definitely stay here again! Thanks for a wonderful stay!

I'm currently staying at this hotel and from the check in until now everything has been great. Marla is a sweatheart and Nikki was AMAZING! They have went out our their way for me during my entire stay.

we were there for softball games. checked in on 06/28/2019. the room was HOT and dirty. there was a toenail on one bed and a dirty bathroom. there was used soap in the shower. and the counter was dirty. we were moved to a different room that had dirty sheets and blankets with stains and dirt. there was not really any cold water, but very very hot water. to get comfortable water temperature, you almost had to turn off the shower. I waited almost 10 days for management to call. never did and when I called, Amanda was rude. would not let me talk to the other manager "Al". Said "Al" would call me back. never did.

We stayed two nights with our family and friends for a basketball tournament. We all loved this hotel! Staff was AMAZING! They all were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great. Room as well as entire hotel was very clean! Amanda Rider, the manager was very inviting and treated us all like very important people. We have a large group and you rarely find that kind of hospitality these days. The entire staff made our stay great!

Our stay was amazing. The amenities, customer service, decor etc were all exceptional. We will definitely be staying in the future and recommending to our Corporate Office for incoming visitors. Justin, the Front Desk Clerk, was so attentive and helpful.

We had to find a local hotel quickly after not being able to stay in our home after a storm. They were great with working with our insurance company for payment. The hotel was pleasant and clean. Wonderful hot breakfast with several options. They also had a happy hour with different snacks. The location is also good being located near serveral fast food restaurants and a Cracker Barrel. The bed was really comfortable and the room relaxing. We had a suite so we had a couch with a small stovetop, frig, and microwave.

I was over charged and treated as if I was lying or I couldn't afford it. Which the problem was not cause by me . Staff communication was horrible . I was told I was paying for two nights , which I had asked for ,for one of my rooms when I checked in the night before . Last I stayed I was told I wasn't in the system that morning . Then the coukdbtbfigured put what I had payed for . So they charged me for an additional night.

Very friendly staff. They were very helpful when needing to change rooms for disability needs and offered great suggestions for local dining. The hotel is very clean and fresh. Breakfast was delicious with enough options to not get bored after a 4 night stay.

Beds were comfortable. The first thing that the little commented on was the bed being so soft! Room was clean. Their was a Keurig machine in the room. Breakfast was great. We will be returning to this one when we're in the area

This was my second time at this location. Refurbished in 5/18. The rooms are very clean and spacious and access to I-20 was perfect. Nikki, from the front desk, was very pleasant and knowledgeable. Breakfast was good and filling. I will definitely be returning on our next visit.

Hotel can be seen from highway 20. Easy access. Nice building. Clean lobby. Nicely decorated. The staff is friendly. Manager provided discount for me as a travel agent even though Best Western Plus doesn't give Travel Agent discounts. Excellent toiletries and maid will give you extra (peppermint lotion, conditioner and lotion) 24-hour coffee, tea and chocolate and coffee machine in your room with coffee provided. Breakfast was plenty. Eggs, sausage, hash browns, cereal, biscuit & gravy, pastry, muffins. waffles, essentially anyone would get full. Lobby clean and nicely decorated. Grounds nicely manicured.Manager, breakfast staff, check-in staff were very kind. Check in and out was easy and a breeze. Best Western Plus offers points in which I signed up for. I will return.

We had a wonderful stay while visiting family in Longview. Nikki Webster was wonderful in every way making us feel right at home. We appreciate everything about Best Western South! Everything was great.

From beginning to end, we had a great experience! Hunter was very accommodating and professional with reservations. Marla was very friendly and helpful with check in. The room was spacious and very clean! We had a restful night and would definitely stay here again!

Only positive is let me Check in Early. Went to look at Christmas lights & when we returned to our Room #108. Make sure if You stay at this Hotel, You call Property Directly & see if they Rented out the Breakfast area as they did the night we stayed there. The Party was Quite Loud & Noisy even at 1:00 a.m..That is when I ask why it was so Loud. That is when the Front desk informed me they rented out Breakfast area for $200.00 until 2:00a.m.. In the Morning was talking to a Guy who was on Second floor & he even heard the Party going on in Breakfast Area.So needless to stay not much Sleep till they left. Then You could hear the Semis Driving down I-20. Breakfast in the Morning consisted of powdered eggs scrambled, Not Quite Hot enough Sausage Patties & usual breakfast food, except NO Fruit. The Room was Nice, Except NO exhaust Fan in Bathroom. So my Advice is if you book this hotel, make sure you call them & see if they rented out the Breakfast area. Something i have never heard of. Only 2 other Best Westerns I have ever stayed in, Once breakfast was over the Doors were Locked. Plus if You want a Really good Night sleep, my advice would be to get a Room at the other end of Hotel from Interstate so You don't hear the Trucks driving down the Highway. Only other positive is there is a Cracker Barrel in Front of the Place, if You want a HOT Breakfast. I Won't be Staying here ever again. Since when I called at 1:00a.m. they said can't do anything since they booked it till 2:00a.m.. Oh & another thing if You are a Best western Member as I am, they offered NO gift @ Check in or offered NO upgrade. That is a First on Both Parts. I have always gotten at Least a Bottle of water & chips & or a Upgrade in my Room. Guess I will be Going Back to La Quinta Inn as they Offer both with out having to ask. So I guess they just care more about their Reward Members.

Super broom outstanding service staff was amazing the motel was spotless on a stormy night a very warm enjoyable stay breakfast dining area is comfortable plane and pleasant the water pressure of the showers is the best I've ever had in a motel the desk personnel were polite efficient and attentive Miss Katie and Aaron and everyone there went out of their way to make my guest and feel special thanks to all the staff from housekeeping to management for operating such a quality establishment

We stayed at this hotel 2 nights last month & one night this month. The hotel staff are very friendly & helpful. The landscaping & pool is beautiful. The rooms are awesome & comfortable. I wish they had hard boiled eggs & oatmeal like the other Best Westerns. The coffee is better than other hotel chains. We will definitely be back next time we are in town.

This was a great stop for weary travelers. Clean quite even with the proximity to the highway. The desk staff was very friendly and helpful. It was great having a Cracker Barrel right next door easy walk.

Quiet, immaculate rooms during my stays! No fuss, super friendly staff. Very close to walmart and other shops. Shares parking lot with Cracker Barrel, Love that! I Can Always Depend on this location!!

Awesome service and room. Décor was on point. Whenever I'm in town, I am definitely going to stay here. They when out of there way to be helpful. Much appreciated. I have stayed at a lot of Best Western's, this was the best so far.

Our stay was pretty much comfortable. Breakfast needs some improvement though. 1 of the better Best Western stays. Very helpful and friendly staff for the most part. Would recommend that you stay at this hotel.

Hotel exceeded my expectations, perfect hotel if traveling with your family. Everything was updated, the room was spotless. It was a very comfortable environment, everyone was friendly from the hotel staff to the guests. We didn't want to check out when it was time to, I would definitely revisit this hotel if I'm in this area again!

We stayed here when heading out on a trip and stopped again on the way home. The rooms were clean and the staff was friendly. I wish the breakfast had more variety but it was good. The parking area was easy to navigate. Bathrooms were clean.

We were back in East Texas for the funeral of my father who passed away earlier in the week here in Longview. Due to family reunions in Carthage, where his celebration of life was to take place, all the hotels were booked. Since BWP is located just off I-20 @ 259/149, a direct shot to Carthage, I called them direct. Nikki was on duty and helped walk me through the process of reserving two rooms for the night. Then she upgraded us to suites for no extra charge so that we would be “comfortable.” Upon arrival she had welcome bags for both rooms with water and complementary snacks and a welcome kit for our three grandsons filled with toys, games, bubbles, etc. Needless to say we felt like we had found the right hotel for this trip. The hotel has been reopened only a couple of months after an extensive remodeling. The suites are warm and inviting with two queens, two TVs, a double sleeper sofa, desk, two dressers, closet, microwave, and mini-fridge. The rooms are well lit and extremely quiet, especially for a hotel right on the interstate. Breakfast is provided with all the normal fair of a mid-range hotel. The pictures are all truthful at this point because of the newness of the hotel. The owner did an exceptional job of renovating an old hotel and making it viable again. The grounds have been well landscaped with a nice pool. There is a Cracker Barrel out the front door. Hwy 259/149 makes for easy access to a Walmart Super Center, GSMC, multiple gas stations and Longview's loop where there are a plethora of dining options. If we ever find ourselves in need to stay over again in the Longview area, we will be calling Nikki and BWP South.

Hunter at the front desk is wonderful. Caydee is a sweetheart. Breakfast is always amazing. The room service keeps the room's very clean. The maintenance man is very kind. Hunter and Caydee keep fresh cookies and lemon water ready for you. Great job guys and girls!!!

Great looking hotel and rooms after a recent name change and remodel. We stayed two times on a round trip and were extremely happy. This is one of the best - Best Westerns I have ever stayed in. The rooms are crisp and clean. The facility looks great and the staff is on top of things. The breakfast bar was quite good. It had meat/ eggs, waffles, pastries, cereal, and so on. But this bar also had tortillas and retried beans. This was both rare and awesome. I wish more hotels would offer this. This was a high point. There were also complimentary cookies and fruit infused water free all day in the foyer. On our return stay, we were given an upgrade to a deluxe suite and it was a delight. We had twice as much room in addition to a second couch with a seating area featuring end chairs. It was great. Each room had a Keurig machine, microwave, and refrigerator. The table lamps had plenty of standard sockets for charging devices and each featured an additional USB only socket. This is another feature I wish more hotels would emulate. Carrington was outstanding during our return stay and we very much appreciated her help. She had a great attitude. We'll definitely stay here again!

After all that's why you go to a Best Western, right? Gary, who checked us in was very nice and did a great job. Comfortable bed, ac was perfect temperature. The room was clean,the bathroom cleaner and it was quiet. The price was also excellent. There's a Waffle House right next door.

My husband and I just stayed there one night, but loved our newly renovated, 3rd floor room. Very clean, nicely done, fantastic pillows! Apparently, the 3rd floor renovations were completed, hence the newness of it all. They have a long ways to go, in order to complete the entire job, but we were impressed, so far. It is now called the Longview Inn, and will eventually be a Best Western. I hope they keep the present young lady who checked us in, and that it remains pet friendly. She was so friendly, and we are always happy when a clean, well appointed room, welcomes our lovely dog.

Despite this The staff was courtesy and helpful. I experienced a problem with the electronic key not opening the door. The room was clean and the price was right. Just keep in mind you will experience noise from the ongoing construction. I would return though.

This Holliday Inn Express is going through some needed renovations and has caused some discomforts such as a musky, damp smell on upper floor areas. Be sure to check your room before you move into it for the night. The desk staff was very helpful in moving some of our family to other rooms. Breakfast was fair considering the scrambled eggs were cold and the biscuits were overbaked on the bottoms beyond the ability to cut them with the plastic tableware.
