Best Western Plus Irvine Spectrum Hotel

This hotel fell short in a few areas, the pool was closed and the desk friendliness was questionable at times. Housekeeping was exceptional and the hotel property was very clean and well kept. Internet was intermittent where we had to continue logging into the Wi-Fi and it certain spots of the hotel It wouldn't work at all. Breakfast was good, very fresh and hot. The only disappointing part about that was the times were different on the weekend and they were during the week which didn't work so well with our sports team. Also, when they close the doors for breakfast, that was it! No wiggle room.

This inn was clean rooms are fairly big shower had nice water pressure. Breakfast was great there were many selection to choose from. Staff are friendly and very helpful. Overall this inn was a great place to stay!

We had an overnight stay at this Best Western Plus hotel the beginning of Feb. 2024. We had stayed here previously twice (over 2 years ago). We were pleasantly surprised. The room we were in seemed to have been upgraded since then. We had a 2 queen suite with a balcony. The balcony was quite small but I was able to have a small stool out there and actually even though it was raining the balcony was perfectly dry and I was able to sit out there and play my ukulele which was fun. The room was clean and roomy. The heater worked well. Both tv in living room area and in bedroom worked well. As others have mentioned the sink was on the dresser in the bedroom. We actually liked this because there was plenty of room for both of us with our stuff. We enjoyed our breakfast there (weekdays 6-9am and I believe 7-10am weekends). The hot sausages, bacon, scrambled egg, and hash browns had to be served to you by the helper which was fine with us. We were able to go back for seconds. Also available was cold cereal including cocoa puffs with whole or 2% milk, yogurt, bagels, packaged muffins, apples, oranges, and bananas. A dispenser had OJ, Apple Juice, and cranberry juice. Also a variety of bread to make pb&j sandwiches or toast, waffle maker, packages for hot cocoa and oatmeal. Pretty much what you would expect for a hot breakfast from a BW hotel. Plenty of seating inside the breakfast room. In the lobby they had one of those fancy automatic coffee machines which offered several choices (latte, cappuccino, hot cocoa, mocha, etc) which seemed to be available 24/7 and was very nice! One thing we were disappointed in was the pool/hot tub area was closed when we were there. The front desk lady was very polite and offered bag with water bottles and cookies for our Diamond status (and also complimentary late check out for our status. I think this was possible due to our Sunday night stay being not that crowded). Overall we were very satisfied and will be staying here again for some of our "date night" outings.

Room was clean and nice as well as a good size. Bathroom and carpets could be updated but not bad. Balcony was nice but would have been nicer with chairs to enjoy it. Staff were fantastic. Breakfast was nice and had options. Pool was being updated so closed. Great location.

Close to so many places .the price was great concerning the huge breakfast you can get and the parking being close and safe. Coffee lemon water in the lobby 24/7. WiFi and printing, computer and office available to use!

Family trip to Disney/Universal. Totally would recommend. Breakfast surpassed expectations, staff was helpful and friendly. Location was perfect to get in the interstate. Near food and beach (20 mins)

Breakfast was great! The hot tub and pool area have tables and chairs and pool towels were always stocked. Not super convenient to the tourist areas of LA but we wanted to be out of the city a ways so this location was perfect for us! And close to so many beautiful beaches.

Front desk staff were amazing very kind easy to deal with. Look like they were doing a little bit of renovating but was quiet no one couldn't hear anything any of it. The entrance to the hotel is beautiful they do have carts to bring all your stuff upstairs which is amazing. Had no problem finding parking and there was good lighting where the cars are parked. My only complaint was the room cleanliness was very under par. There was multiple areas that were in plain sight that were not cleaned and overlooked. The computer desk had syrup all over the desk and the chair that my daughter got all over her. The outside of the bathtub was never cleaned with dirt and hair all over it. Also there was a very musky nauseating smell as soon as you walked into the room. It smells almost as if someone smoked in there but when we actually smelled the countertops you could tell it was whatever they are utilizing to clean the room. Too much of a strong odor to be using in hotel rooms like this.

We chose a room with 2 separate sleeping areas as we were travelling with our 90 year old mother. The room we chose had, unbeknownst to us, a spiral staircase. I'm disabled and these stairs were not easy for me to use. Also the bathroom had a huge hole in the ceiling where water dripped on you while you took your shower. The sink for the bathroom was in the main bedroom. Such a strange set up. Someone should have warned us about the strangeness of the room.

It is unfortunate that such a decent hotel (space and location wise) is so horribly managed. If I could give this hotel a 0 for customer service I would. It started when I called to get information about early check in and was quoted one set of additional costs based on how early we checked in but then was given a higher quote when I called back. When we checked in I saw that the lower price I was quoted the first time was not only correct but was literally printed and posted for customers to see at check-in. Ok, fine, people make mistakes. Also at check-in the employees were busier talking to each other than minding the front desk and act like you are imposing on them when you ask a question. Finally we checked in and right away my kids wanted the pool so we came down but couldn't get in because the key wasn't working. I asked the front desk staff for help, again they acted like I was bothering them, and they informed me I needed a separate key. It didn't occur to the person that checked me in to tell me that or give me the key? Makes no sense. At check out, same story, slow and rude or maybe indifferent is the right word. Regardless, just so unprofessional. Then I called back a few days later because I was wondering how long the deposit was going to take to be refunded and again with the rudeness, this time telling me they are so busy I can't even wait on hold and they will call back. Hours later I called again and said I would rather be put on hold and suddenly they had time to talk to me. They said I needed to wait a few more days. I waited two weeks. Called back, again they were too busy so I called back and again insisted I wait because their staff don't call me back. It took a while but finally they informed me they had held the deposit because the small from the time I used the microwave in the room was bad and required deep cleaning. Mind you they had to have known that when I called back 2 weeks prior but NO ONE informed me. Shouldn't it just be policy they inform you of additional costs instead of me having to hunt down answers?? Like I said, great room but abysmal customer service. Will not go back.

Jacuzzi was dirty so they it me in what they called the “penthouse” which was more like “trap house” broken toilet, floor rail was bent nails sticking out! Cut my husband foot. And management never took accountability or made things right. Terrible place.

We checked into the hotel and the under building parking area had leaking pipes that dripped rusty water on multiple cars parked their. The furniture in the room was broken and not functional and there was cockroaches found in one of our friends rooms.

I went here for five nights and I must say that the room was decent at best. We have seen three roaches during our stay. Hot tub was nice. Gym was small. And the sink was very inconveniently placed in the bedroom. Not to mention that there are no mirrors in the bathroom. There were cigarette burns on the curtains and loud stomping could be heard from the floor above, but if you don't mind a little bit of uncleanliness I would say that this hotel is okay overall. Just probably wouldn't come here again. I would also like to note that the staff were very friendly and breakfast was good. I had a good stay, it just wasn't as clean as I would Like it to be.

Was a little skeptical at first, but the 2 queen suite was the perfect amount of space for my family of 4! Stayed for 5 days and everything was great! Room was clean and comfortable & employees were kind. Pretty quiet, lots of families. Older property, but well cared for. I would say the only issue was the hot tub was kind of stinky & a little gross haha otherwise absolutely perfect. Oh, also the beach is just over the hill...15-ish minute drive! Will stay again!

The room was clean, the breakfast service was spectacular. The overall experience is awesome and I will be returning when in the area. I would highly recommend staying here for any occasion with a few minor maintenance upgrades that are mainly quick fixes.

Always stay at Best Westerns if they are accessible. Most often find them friendly and professional. The breakfasts are always good and this one in particular was exceptional! We travelled from Arizona to attend a grandson's high school graduation and, although the traffic congestion and gas prices in California are terrible, the Best Western accommodations were comfortable.

Wow, this hotel is either newly renovated or new. It's amazing inside and the rooms are suites with two queen beds, and another person can sleep in the front room. Wonderful bathroom, separate sink outside the bath area for getting ready two great TVs. They have a giant dining room, where they serve the free breakfast with hot cooked eggs and bacon and hashbrowns, and everything imaginable that you could ever want for breakfast and including table side waitress first class Everything top notch I would certainly stay here again.

It was great stay except was by stairs and a bit of noise during night. Everything else was great. Clean and room smelled nice. Awesome location close to freeway. I really enjoyed the stay customer service was great and attendant was nice and friendly.

This place was clean. This place was accommodating. The free breakfast was probably our favourite part. It was delicious. I have nothing but good things to say about this place aside from not getting our room cleaned when we went on a family outing. We were gone all day and hoped we'd have clean towels and our beds made when we returned. But this place is quiet and felt safe. I'd definitely stay here again.

We have stayed at this property in the past and were very pleased. Sadly, this stay was just OK - maybe new owners? We were told upon arrival that the water was going to be shut off at 10am the next morning. We had hoped to sleep in a little, but no such luck. We understand things happen that are beyond control sometimes, but we just wished we had known this when we booked our stay. Will we stay here again - sadly, we'll probably look elsewhere.

I never sleep in hotels, ever. This is the only hotel I've ever been able to sleep like a rock every night. Beds were comfortable with multiple pillows, great heating/cooling, all amenities needed for a comfortable stay - seating room, working fridge, amble room. Drawbacks: Sink is outside of the bathroom area - since we were staying with our adult daughter, it was difficult to bring in all of our toiletries/clothing into the bathroom to get ready without a place to put it all, small space to work in and the fan wasn't powerful enough to pull all the steam out so it wasn't the most pleasurable experience with that process (even with the little window open). Water pressure was okay but shower head couldn't give a full body spray with power. Breakfast was the same thing daily, so staying for 5 days it was a little underwhelming - though I appreciated the included breakfast, it would be nice to have an option to put the eggs/sausage/hashbrowns into a burrito w/cheese or maybe switch up the hashbrowns to diced potatoes, etc. One of the elevators were broken the entire time we were there, so that was inconvenient. Otherwise, the location is great for quick and easy access to all of southern OC and the grounds are well kept.

Room was clean when we walked in. Room had 2 rooms a living room and then a bedroom and bathroom. Was nice to have your room freshened up everyday been so long since they did that. Food for breakfast was good, they had a cook, and he was cooking fresh food and he serves and plates it for you another gentlemen was helping out keeping the tables clean and things full. Parking was good and I was glat that they didn't charge for parking as so many do now a days. Friendly staff. I did use the washer and dryer. It was a little pricy to use at $4 to wash and $4 to dry, also it was all card not coin operated. I always appreicate when hotels have the option to do laundry as i hate bringing back dirty clothes and since we mostly travel for sports i always need to keep the uniforms clean. Pool area was nice and clean. They had fresh towels on each chair looked very nice. Courtyard was nice and clean and had lots of places to hang out. wish we could have utilized it a bit more. I would stay there again. staff friendly rate was great.

How this is a Best Western plus is beyond me. Honestly, the joke was we were staying in a jail. The rooms are sad. They only have half lumpy pillows. We couldn't figure out if they cut them in half. The sheets were worn and rough. The blanket on top super thin. The windows in the back were dangerous. There is a ridiculous walkway behind the rooms which was super concerning. The sliding door had a good lock but the bathroom window which would fit a human had a really flimsy lock. Both windows lacked sealing so the air was cold. Because of those back windows on a walkway as well as the front -there was no natural light as we kept the blinds closed. The front desk folks were nice. And the breakfast was the only thing that resembled a Best Western Plus. Good food, nice space. Never gain.

We visit our grandson at least once a month sometimes more. Best Western had never failed us. We always look forward to our visits. Best breakfast, the staff is always friendly and helpful. We always recommend the Lake Forest location to our family and friends.

I would definitely not stay here again. The lobby was nice and the staff was friendly. We didn't end up staying the night so I cannot comment on the breakfast. The room was dirty. The carpets were black with dirt. Stains on the furniture and blankets. The sofa bed was all springs and unusable in my opinion.The room was dimly lit and smelled musty. We decided to pack up and leave about an hour into our stay. Based on what others have said maybe we just had a bad room, but I wouldn't chance it again.

There is NO way to describe the awful experience we had at this egregious Best Western which we wouldn't have checked into had we not had a very misleading phone conversation first. what they DON'T say over the phone when you take the time to call is that even if they do accept service animals they'll still charge you. once I got there they hassled me, intimidated me, disqualified me, when I'm disabled and have service animals, which obviously they were just trying to get a fee. we posted a Google review but it mysteriously disappeared an hour later. just awful. they're really good at being polite over the phone (maybe, but not lucidly honest) and when you get there their monstrous. won't mention any names but she's an older blond. they also probably lied about not having a downstairs room, and unfortunately the elevator wait time was ong with no usual bright and cheery lobby to take stairs down into. place resembled an industrial outdated sketchy concrete complex. the hot tub smelled of something oddly bad and we didn't go in a second time. formaldehyde headache and burning eyes where within 2 hours we left. if sensitive to chemicals don't check in here. the straw that broke the feeble back was an odd man who just our luck was right next door and it wouldn't have been a bother had he not left his door open sneering something at us unintelligible. sorry. I'll never understand why people leave their doors wide open. there were some sketchy personalities but there's no way to describe what it was like being degraded by the front desk staff. "The breakfast is over there in the mornings!" no thanks, we've lost our appetite. she also said over the phone that they didn't have a lot of children and families running around but they were plenty of them. had a chemical headache that lasted about 3 hours and we lost about $300. don't suppose we ever got our deposit back either. both the woman at the front desk and her manager were just simply cold and... truly derisive. if something else goes wrong your hands are tied there where good luck getting any empathy. who wouldn't take a $300 headache with that proverbial bad taste in the mouth to keep you company for as long as you have a memory? laugh out loud, try a much more comfy hotel hotel brand or Best Western that will at least give you a refundable reservation at the outset and a smile when you walk in. honestly, I just don't care for the way many of this particular hotel brands are run any more, especially from the cultural standpoint. I just don't have the trust to book with them anymore.

We were pleasantly surprised with this hotel. Proximity to the 5 freeway was great. The room itself was great with it's separate sleeping area. Our only issue was the firm mattress; neither of us slept well because of it. Loved the cute little balcony overlooking the pool area. Check-out took a little too long but only because the guests in front of us both had issues. Staff was friendly at both check-in and check-out.

Over priced. Rude service. Plumbing backed up. Loud hum in the room 24 hrs. The lights outside turn off early at night and don't in the early morning. If you are in the parking lot late at night or early morning, you will need a flashlight. Looks like they are trying to save money at the guests expense. Won't be staying there again.

If you want a good, dependable, clean place to stay with no surprises at a reasonable price. Stay here. Easy access to the highway, walking distance to a good selection of restaurants. Check in was easy, the room was clean, spacious, good pool, staff was friendly.

Area is safe and quite , there are lots of restaurant and coffee shops near by .staffs are very polite and friendly perfect for family and business trip .The room is very cleaned and organized I highly recommended!

I got away for the weekend to see family & friends because I was selling my house. I stayed at this Best Western nearby to everything. It was exceptional. The front desk staff were friendly & efficient check in and check out. The room & hotel surroundings clean. I loved breakfast with eggs served the way you like them. First time staying in Orange County where I could sleep all night without hearing outside noise from traffic or other hotel clients. Definitely would recommend this hotel.

This hotel has had the best breakfast consistently throughout a 5 day stay. The beds are very comfortable and the entire staff has been cheery and helpful. I would highly recommend staying at this location. Covered parking was also a plus.

My room had 2 queen beds and a separate room with sofa, desk, microwave, small fridge and another TV. Bathroom as usual but the sink is in the room. Good hot breakfast but with a line to be served hot items. Small fitness center. Pool. A nice outside area to rest, take breakfast or something more. At night I could hear the guest upstairs walking, taking a shower. The same in the morning. In the last night there were people talking very loudly at 4:00am. I woke up and it was hard to sleep again. I couldn´t identify from where the sound was coming....

I travel with my family regularly and we stay in hotels that we have researched as we have been disappointed by amenities or location in the past. This hotel was by far the worst experience we have ever had traveling. The first room we entered after check in smelled of raw sewer and the only sink, which is at the foot of the bed was the cause and would drain very slow. After moving to a second room we found a live bee in the bedsheets, blood stains on the walls and towels. It was late and we were exhausted from our day so we decided to sleep and leave after we got ready the next morning. First the shower water would not drain, our feet were in inches of a hotel bathtub shower. Second room service came into our room twice before 930 am when we where getting dressed. The second time room service came in my son was startled and hit his head on a dresser, resulting in 4 stitches on his forehead. And during our morning my wife got stuck in the elevator!! Best Western Plus accreditation has lost all of its reputation with me based on this stay. Beware of this hotel. This stay was by far the worst hotel stay I have ever had. The amount of issues we had here didn't seem real, it literally felt like a nightmare!

I will not stay in this particular facility again. It is either a system issue or incompetent staff that made our stay a nightmare. In addition to all that was wrong with this facility, the credit card payment platform doesn't even work.

Know in the check in is at 3:00 PM, I stopped by at 1pm to see if the room was ready. (I had made a note for an early check in on the online reservation). I was told it wasn't ready , to come back in 1/2 hour. We went back at 1:45 and it still was not ready. After our tournament we went back at 5:20 and they still had to check if the room was ready. Took me 15 minutes to finally get a room The room smelled, the sheets on the sofa bed were stained and the pillows were horrible. Only one light in the bathroom worked.

Hotel is very clean and a great place to stay. I would recommend staying here if ever in Lake Forest. The staff was very nice and the breakfast was pretty amazing. Cooked right in the dining room. Even though we had pet rooms they didn't have a funky odor like most hotels that allow dogs. Loved our stay.

The good: The hotel staff were all amazingly friendly and helpful. Breakfast was fantastic. The bed was one of the most comfortable I've slept in. The not-so-good: The rooms are just looking a bit tired. Light switches are well used and a bit dirty. The shower could use a refresh.

The room it self was nice but the staff made me feel so low. I was traveling with my family so after waking up and getting the kids ready I didn't have much time for myself but didn't really care because we were going to a hotel I figured I could get myself together there while the kids went swimming any who we arrive the first things the lady asked was did I have a credit card which was strange to me but I answered yes and told her I had a reservation while handing her my ID and credit card I thought she was checking me in but I've it's never took 15 mins to check in then she asked again do I have a credit card I said yes and gave it to her but also checked my account to see why she couldn't run my debit card all my money was in my account so I asked her why do you need my credit card she said in case you mess up the room that's when it hit me it was because I was looking wild but 2 because I'm black my eyes started to fill up I was hurt and angry so when the manager got off the phone I tired talking to him he was even more rude than she was he basically told me it's done and there's nothing he can do I asked do everyone have to have a credit card to stay there his reply was no so then I tell him I feel like they are treating me like this because I'm under dressed and black he dismissed me with is there anything else I can help you with I was never acknowledged as being a Best Western Diamond member or thanked for staying I've been to many Best Western's this by far is the worst

we arrived around 12:20pm. We were assigned a room that clearly showed someone had been laying on the bed and had used paper cups strewn around. We went back to reception and were told they had NO other rooms. We were told that they would call us as soon as a room was available. We were NEVER called. We went to lunch and returned to the lobby in a little over an hour. It appeared that there were a line of folks checking in who were getting rooms. We were finally given a room about 2:25I don't believe they honored their promise to call as soon as a room was available. This was however before their advertised check in time of 3pm. That being said, the room seemed clean and comfortable. Shower was fine, ample hot water and a two room unit with two TVs. The breakfast was best we've seen in a while with a fellow cooking eggs, hash browns, sausage and bacon. There were packaged muffins but no pastries. However due to the initial room assignment being unclean and the late clean room assignment we will not stay here again.

This hotel is nothing to brag about. Several things we were disappointed about. The location was good but this hotel could use an update on about everything. The pool was dirty and the exercise room is extremely small. The room was not very clean. I have stayed in rooms that are better than this. Everything was old and rusty.

everythign was good didnt have any issues staying, the peopleon the front desk was very good, i will come back when ever i had a chance, everythign was on good conditions and everythign work fine, i ll be back this week

I stayed here before about 2 years ago. Great location with lots of places to eat, bars, etc as the Irvine Spectrum is only 8 minutes away, Nice hotel, rooms were nice, bed comfortable, I always like the breakfast. I will be staying again.

Decided to stay at Best Western because of quality and affordability. Onced checked in the front desk staff were very nice and helpful. The room was very clean and spacious for the value. The breakfast was simple and delicious with enough options to choose from. Overall a great experience.

The front desk was very attentive .lestened very well . Understood my questions. The room was very clean. Excellent place to realax .the veiw was nice the coffee great . There's also great food right up the streetstreet

The gentleman at the counter no welcoming. We went to out room and discovered left over chips and cookies on the first drawer! The beds are extremely hard and so uncomfortable. Even my 11 year old complained of a backache in the morning. Not what I expected from this hotel chain

Hotel was centrally located for the multiple purposes of our trip and was easily accessible to all the major destinations that we were requiring. Great access to beach communities and close to Disneyland. Quality breakfast, and quick. Great variety of meal options to choose from.

We really enjoyed the location and the our stay and staff was attentive and friendly. Room was great! Pillows can be a bit larger. House keeping came an hour early before our check out twice. But overall everything was great.

I would not recommend this hotel I'd check out other options like one of the ones right next door Hilton I think or Marriott It's shabby and not very clean, the bacon smelled rancid and the coffee pot in the room was one of those little pretend coffee pots. When we arrived the floor in our room was still wet and smelled like urine When I called the front desk they said the carpet had just been shampooed. They didn't offer a different room with a dry carpet, maybe they were all wet. I almost just left and moved to a different hotel, but we were tired and we had a funeral to attend the next day, we ended up staying all three days because being with family was more important than finding another hotel. There was a bad motor humming sound so I wore ear plugs to bed I think it's quite a stretch to call this a BW plus I'm a Best Western rewards member and I expect more

Bed was clean that's about it. Decor and ambiance was depressing. Tub didn't drain well so you're standing in ankle deep water in a short amount of time. Light over the sink/TV counter did not turn on. I couldn't recommend this hotel to anyone.

Early check-in accommodated. Beautiful living area and bedroom with balcony. Competent and friendly staff (registration and food service) and a good breakfast. Wonderful Italian restaurant across the street. How can you go wrong? I am recommending Best Western Plus Irvine Spectrum Hotel to any and everyone traveling to Orange County.

Absolutely horrendous. On the outside, the hotel looks like it hasn't been updated in decades. Sadly, the inside is just as bad. Paint chipped, dirty vents, dust under the beds, low lighting and small windows. We paid extra to book a king room with a whirlpool tub. The tub was chipped and dirty and we didn't even go in it. We questioned if the room had even been cleaned properly or just had the sheets changed. There were minimal towels and only 3 small pillows on our King bed. When we called the front desk for more pillows, they sent staff to our room with blankets instead and said "we don't have any pillows left". How does a hotel run out of pillows? It wasn't even sold out. They eventually went and "looked again" and miraculously found more small pillows. No properly sized bed pillows either. We didn't even sit in the living room b/c it was so dark - only one light bulb was working. On top of everything else, the bathroom counter was so low you'd think it was an ADA room but we were on the second floor. Worst place we've ever stayed - never staying at a Best Western again. Absolutely disgusted we spent what we did for that room. Would have been better off at a Motel 6.

From the moment I checked in James R was SO SO PLEASANT & helpful! The hotel is very clean. Room was decorated cool. I'm a BEST WESTERN Diamond Member & used part points & had a fair price for 2nd night. Breakfast 6:00 to 9:00 weekdays. Located by Irvine Spectrum & 5 Fwy.

Sports groups and typical teenage noise :o) everywhere; unable to access pool or hot tub. Promised a room we never got. "Plus" breakfast of heat-in-room microwave gray sausage, egg and cheese muffin was awful (server was nice though).

This hotel is excellent if traveling with a family, the room was large enough to accommodate 3 adults and adult sized teen an a 7 year old. The pull out bed is not the greatest but doable for a child. The breakfast was simple but enough to save us some money! The location is great! 25mins to many beaches and close to great shopping! We even got some back to school shopping done on our trip! Overall we were comfortable. This hotel is older but you can see improvement happening every day! For the price, cleanliness, space and location you can't beat it! Beds aren't the most comfortable but everything else was great.

This is by no means a 5 start property since it is a Best Western Plus but I am giving it a 5 star review. After reading all the reviews I was hesitant to stay here worried about the place being dirty and full of homeless people but that is the case. I've stayed at a lot of hotels and during my National Parks trip through Nevada, Utah, and Colorado I've stayed at a lot of Best Western Plus since they're the closest to the National Park entrances. When we got here at check in the gentleman at the front was wearing a mask and greeted me and thanked me for being a gold member. He was very polite and friendly. Got to our room and the keys didn't work. When we headed back to the elevator a worker was coming off who just so happens to be the one to fix the doors and he promptly fixed our keys. Once he did that we had no further issues with the keys. Our room inside was clean, no hairs, or hidden diapers, the living room, bedroom, and bathroom were clean. No stains, no bad smells. The only odd thing was the sky was on the counter right next to the tv. Other than that the room was great! The bed was comfortable and the A.C. worked. We got back from San Diego at almost midnight and there was still plenty of parking. No loud music and no homeless people walking around like zombies. I felt very safe. In the morning we went to breakfast. So before I begin understand during covid loss of restrictions were put on hotels in terms of dining and a lot of hotels just choose to discontinue their breakfast instead of deal with it. So before complaining that the breakfast isn't a buffet be thankful they still make the effort to provide breakfast. Now having said that I thought the breakfast options were quite good. You have several options of cereal to choose from, several options on Oatmeal, a breakfast sandwich when heated up tastes like a McDonald's sausage McDuffie. I thought it was pretty tasty, a bag with juice, giant muffin, fruit, and granola bar, milks, hit chocolate, and coffee. Definitely much more than other hotels I've stayed at which only offer hard booked egg, fruit, and granola bar. The gentleman manning the breakfast area was also very nice and polite. I still didn't see any rowdy party people. The stay was overall very pleasant and enjoyable and I'm glad we stayed here.

Upon arrival the sheets, blankets, and curtains had stains on them. The tub had mold and hair. The bed and sofa were uncomfortable, the sink was clogged, the air didn't work. It was a very spacious unit and convenient location.

Upon check in front staff was rude and somewhat condescending. This did not get better, as in our bathroom there was blood smattered on the wall, and with no other available rooms we were “stuck” there. The bathroom sink is oddly placed in the middle of the bedroom instead of the bathroom. There were mysterious spots on the blankets in the room, but because of rude front staff felt it pointless to have said anything. Air temperature gauge did not work well. If you prefer it cooler make sure to put several degrees cooler to get to the correct temperature. Good water pressure. Careful on the elevator as it made jumping sounds at times. Breakfast consisted of coffee, cereal and bad sandwich. Had better breakfasts elsewhere (even in COVID). Staff were even more rude at checkout, specifically condescending a person with disabilities in my party. Hopefully they will change but would recommend elsewhere. Best to stay elsewhere

Water pressure low. Bed feels like straw. Charge you a $75 deposit. Loud house parties have been thrown multiple times next to me when I stayed there. This is a fairly cheap hotel but I have learned there is a reason for it.

This some what of a hidden gem is located right off the Lake Forest exit. It is quite close by several known fast food franchises, businesses, and local restaurants. Comparatively you get more for your money's worth here, than you do at the near by hotels. By no means is it the fanciest, but what it does not possess in looks it makes up for elsewhere. For example, the spacious two divided rooms is an excellent feature, that is as a rare as it is enjoyable especially with a family. The sink fixture is both modern and elegant and gives you a feel of self importance when washing. The amenities are unfortunately limited for our safety due to COVID. However breakfast has a reasonable healthy spread with a variety of choice. Ultimately the front desk staff is what keeps this place together. This hotel is a diamond, but it only shines bright because the staff are constantly polishing. The previous staff were incredible people and a true loss. The general manager (GM) RENE is a charm and keeps the place together, great under pressure and gets the job done properly. SAM, a newly hired employee, is also quite fantastic. He possesses a kind gesture in his pose, and gives the helpfulness and strength that is required with customers. Overall this establishment is a beauty that is only able to be seen by the grace and dedication of the staff.

We have stayed in several hotels during the pandemic in California, Nevada, and Arizona. This was the ONLY hotel whose staff did not wear a mask during the check in process, despite the mask mandate in California. It caused us to wonder what other basic safety mandates the hotel might be ignoring. In addition, the facilities were unclean and aging, and the breakfast consisted only of cold cereal and yogurt, with no beverage or hot meal options at all. We will not stay at this hotel again.

Competent and caring staff, whom goes the length to make sure your stay is satisfactory. Rooms are spacious, sanitized, and safe. Favorite amenities thus far has been the beautiful oval shaped sink (an art piece in itself) and the complimentary breakfast, although limited due to COVID-19 it is still healthy, and filling. Last, but not least the value is quite affordable if comparing the relative rate to what you get elsewhere. Best bang for your buck, hands down :)

Overall the experience in Irvine is very good. It would have been nice to watch a movie during our stay. The room was very clean and the area and surrounding seemed to be very safe. We would consider staying again if they have a movie channel

Me and gf stayed here and it was quite a fun experience, after checking in we went onto balcony and noticed several other people on theirs totally nude so we joined in the fun lol, also went in hot tub and pool nude as well and staff was totally cool with it saying it happens all the time and as long as it was night it was fine to swim naked in pool and hot tub! We even walked to and from room to pool and vending and the car naked it was great definitely will be staying again soon

Needed a pet friendly hotel, pictures looked nice, so used my rewards points to try this location. The room was comfortable, bed decent, linens where above average, A/C worked well. Pictures were correct but a bit embellished as this had more of a motel than hotel feel. Unfortunately for me, check in was horribly late, cable was out for many hours, and parking was a real problem by 8pm. No solutions from front desk except wait it out and park across the street at another business. Lots of hotels on the same street and I suggest you check other options before settling on this one.

Best place to stay, employees Rene flores,Michelle ramirez and Salina are polite and courteous I stay here a lot because of them they always make sure I'm taking care of. Great customer service goes a long way

I liked the room and the design well, but the maintenance department has to agree with the housekeeping department, the sink faucet was loose, the water outlet was blocked, the bathroom was not clean properly, the toilet had Remains of a magic eraser, the bathtub had pieces of soap and the shower head too .... Otherwise all good, I hope they improve the supervision of the rooms and more in these times of pandemic. Thank you so much

The hotel is undegoing revovation so not much can be said about the appearance. Breakfast was cancelled due to Covid 19 sutuation, which is understanable. But otherwise, great value! Close to everything, proffesional staffs, and very cery clean room. Oh! and oversize bathtub! Highly recomended.

Overall the room was great to be in. Traveling alone at a young age I felt very safe here. The room def could have been cleaned better upon check in (beer bottle cap & toothpaste on counter) however on a daily basis housekeeping was great.

This hotel is a nice, all suites hotel. I have been staying at least twice a week these last 6 weeks. Clean, close to 5 Fwy and, many services. It is a little dated on the room decor but everything was clean and easy to access. This is a 3 1/2 star place but the staff makes it a 4 star. Amanda on the graveyard shift and Michelle on days are the best. They are what made me come back again and again. Thank you ladies for all your effort.

My family and I checked in on 06/19/2020. Walked in our room, smelled horrible, unsanitary, smelled like dog pee, dirty, etc....checked out the next day. My husband said we were charged $30 from this horrible hotel because, first the lady said it was a pet fee(which we DID NOT HAVE ANY PET) then she said the “blow dryer” was missing! What kind of hotel is this! First of all, we never mentioned about us having a pet but we were put in a room for people has pets. Second, why the hell would I take their freakin hair dryer! I don't even use hair dryers from any hotels we've checked in! This place is horrible! Peace of advice, if something is missing, call the person and ask before charging them without knowing what they are being charged for. Your hotel is not all that so a little bit of respect would be nice.

The hotel is nice except the breakfast ,I was expecting we can have hot meal but I guess we came at the wrong time because of pandemic but they should do better than just orange and muffin.Plus the pool was closed.

Arrived Tired and Irritable from a 6-hour drive from Arizona. The two desk clerks (sorry ladies I lost the biz card with your names on it) were so pleasant my mood changed quickly. After a quick check-in i was in my room, in bed with a drink- exactly where i needed to be

No problem checking in and to my surprise it was fast and the customer service is great. I would recommend this hotel to family and friends. The breakfast was nice and full, the workers there were courteous and helped me out with a little problem 10pm at night. Parking was okay, not worried at all about parking because its in a garage. The rooms however was NICE!! I loved that we stayed in a room with a balcony and had a nice view. Thank you for such a memorable stay and I loved how its convenient with the gas station and many resturants near by. Thank you again.

The staff was friendly. The room could have been a little closer to the elevator but, the comfort and roominess of the accommodations made up for the walk. The breakfast was better than what you can get in a restaurant and it was included in the cost of the stay. I'll be back. Thanks

I called ahead to make sure I didn't have to walk far as my hip was broken. I check in to find out the elevator by the handicap parking is broken and I need to walk to the back of the hotel and then to the end of that floor to get to my room. You could not find a room farther away from the handicap parking than my room.

For such a small and kinda hidden location. Rooms were very clean and spacious. Unfortunately the location and hotel name is decieving. Hotel is actually 3 exit's south of 5S from the Irvine spectrum. If the breakfast isn't satisfying, next exit you got FarmerBoys, Canes, Denny's and Bagel shack. Pool and jacuzzi are handycap friendly but small for groups or families. Bed's are very comfortable and very convenient for quick visits in town.

This hotel is in a good location, is clean, has a great pool area and offers hot and cold breakfast selections. We had a suite room that opened into a living area with a sofa bed and a separate room with two queen beds. The room was clean but dated with a bit of a stale odor. We turned the fan on to move the air around and it helped. The biggest drawback was having the bathroom sink/mirror in the sleeping area, not in the bathroom with the toilet and shower. If someone gets up to use the bathroom during the night, everyone hears the sink running to wash hands and if you wake up early, it's not possible to get ready while others are sleeping. Good hotel, could just use an update.

The Best a western had a super easy check in and check out process. Every morning, they serve a delicious, hot breakfast which includes eggs, hash browns, sausage links, and bacon. The rooms are clean and they had fast internet. Will definitely stay here again.

We had an excellent stay here. Everything was clean and well kept bothering in the rooms, breakfast area and lobby. The grounds are well kept and you feel very safe. The staff was amazing and helpful with all our needs. The front desk staff were amazing with all their helpful tips and willingness to accommodate our families needs. The greeted us every morning and evening with a smile and how are you. The breakfast was also great and had a wonderful selection to accommodate any diet needs. The staff and cook were super friendly and helpful, too.

If your in the area you owe it to yourself to try out this hotel. From the time we arrived to the end of our stay the staff was very attentive and friendly. Large rooms (suites), great breakfast and exercise room. We stay there at least 4-6 times a year and look forward to each one.

The place was very accommodating. There was a high school band just checked in and i hardly knew they were there. The breakfast was great as well. I think the nicest thing was after my first night i heard the airconditioner above my room so they offered to change myroom

You cannot see this hotel unless you are know it is there, which makes for a pleasant hide away. Not alot of traffic on the street, noise level is low. Best of all, shoping center is close by 5 min walk of 2 min drive.

Great location, excellent price! We had a 2 room suite for under $100, well worth it! They are friendly and very accommodating. The gentleman making breakfast made my husband fried eggs specially for hi. Great location, close to coast and inland locations.

This particular hotel was probably fabulous in its day. We would have preferred the sink to be located in the bathroom rather than the sleeping area. It was nice to have two separate rooms- sleeping and lounging. It was certainly a value for the price.

This is the 3rd year we have stayed here for our DSU Oceanography Field Course. Manager Rene Flores worked with us for our dates, rates, and even special exception for an early Saturday breakfast. The entire hotel staff is helpful and friendly. They have the most excellent hot breakfast: eggs, sausage, bacon, hash browns all cooked right on the grill. Plus their waffle-maker is the best I've had. The location is perfect for access to Laguna Beach, Dana Point, and Newport Beach -- all less than 20 minutes away. HIGHLY RECOMMEND anytime you are in the area!

Stayed two nights for a softball showcase at Huntington and fountain Valley. Decent rooms and great breakfast. Pretty nice location and some of the team walked to buffalo wild wings for dinner. Outdoor pool was fun for the girls.

I stay here when I teach in Mission Viejo because of the nice accommodations, the hot tube and pool, and the excellent breakfast. I am also usually able to plug in my Volt car though only to 110 volts. The rooms are up to date and the bed and pillows very nice.

Needed to have a block of rooms for a wedding that was in the vicinity. I was put in contact with Rene Flores. From day one, he was very helpful, patient and professional. My stay was very good, the rooms are great love the sitting area, the breakfast food could have been better. It was very clean. The only other complaint would be the hot tub was not working and I was really looking forward to that. But I will stay here again

My wife and I stayed here for two nights on business/leisure. The staff was very friendly and professional. The check in and check out process was quick and easy. The breakfast service was excellent as well. I highly recommend this property if you're ever in this part of town and in need of a hotel.

Spent the weekend while riding the Pacific Coast 100. Several miles from the start but easy off the freeway and good eating options close by. Garage parking a plus, nice breakfast, and the rooms were quiet despite the roar of the freeway

Room was very nice and spacious with a balcony. 1 thing that was a little weird was the restroom sink was next to the TV in the bedroom but it was easy to get over. 2 TVs a couch, desk and chair. Nice size closet space. Room was also equipped with mini fridge and microwave which is always a plus. Nice sports bar across the street and tons of fast food around the corner. Will definitely be coming back.

Nightmare! We were at this location years ago and were ecstatic of the whole experience. This time around, we were very much disappointed. everything has changed from the room smell, poor amenities, roaches etc.

Overall the place has gone through a remodel. The rooms are updated, however the bathroom (shower and tub) are still antiquated. Breakfast - continental, it won't be a Denny's but if you want a quick bite to hold you over till lunch; it will work. Lobby is modern and nice to relax on cofy chairs. There's a loft on top of the breakfast area - nice and quiet, large out door chairs with shade, over looking the pool.

A group of teenage softball players were in the hotel. They were at the pool in the evening loud and out of control. Due to the configuration of the hotel the noise echoed throughout. . Parents or chaperones were non existent. We complained to the front desk on numerous occasions, only to be told, "we've asked to quiet down but that's all we can do". There were no secuity guards. We threatend to call the police and they said Oh well ok do what you have to do. Breakfast was just ok. They offered fried eggs one day and did not offer them on the other days of our stay. No bananas. Rooms are tired. Elevators dirty. When we checked out the clerk didn't even ask how our stay was? That's standard proceduer in ever hotel I;ve ever stayed in.

This hotel is outdated and not very well kept. The bedsheets were stained. There was a musty smell in the room. The deadbolt didn't work. And the huge gap under the door let bugs walk right in. I won't be staying here together.

I should have been told over the phone that the "only" hot tub rooms faced the construction site. I would have tossed the hot tub. I thought I paid for a King bed and had a Queen size bed ? The mattress was very comfortable.

The hotel was horrible, sink on the room next to the TV instead of being at the bathroom, smelly rooms, like an old hotel, all the isles to go to your room is made out of concrete. SERVICE HOWEVER IT WAS GREAT!!!.

The hotel was very clean. The WiFi could be a little faster with better signal coverage throughout the property, but was adequate. The breakfast was wonderful and the gym was very nice too. The location was conveniently located close to the freeway. I would definitely return if I'm ever in the area again.

Stayed here for one night on business in late May 2019. For the price, the hotel was okay, but considering the age of the hotel, it must get a lot of use because it already feels run down and tired. The lobby is dark, the rooms are dark and depressing, the hallways are open air but still dark. To be fair, there is good lighting in the front portion of the rooms (sitting area) but the lighting and natural light in the sleeping room/bathroom area is poor at best and I felt like I was in a dungeon. The towels were nice sized for a small 12-year old child but tiny for an adult of just about any size. Furthermore, the towels felt as though they had been washed 1 million times. The bed linens were grey from overwashing, were stiff and uncomfortable. The bed itself was not very comfortable and the pillows were the size one finds on an airplane in coach. Room noise was another issue. When the people in the room on one side of mine got up to shower at 4:30 am, I knew because I could hear their shower as if it was in my room. When the people on the other side of my room arose at 5:30 am to watch television, I did not need to turn on my set because I could hear theirs clearly. I could hear all the noise from the nearby freeway and people hanging out in the common/pool area in the evening. If you want a quiet place, this is not your hotel. The wifi is free but unreliable. It worked well in the front room, but did not work with consistency in the bedroom area. There was light in the breakfast room, but the decor there was "School Cafeteria" variety. The cook would prepare eggs anyway you liked, which is a nice touch. For one night, sleeping and showering, the hotel was fine. I was very glad to leave if only to cheer up by getting away from the depressing room. Not a hotel I will return to in my future frequent trips to the area.

In May 2019 we took a family trip to California on short notice and needed to stay somewhere in the vicinity of Aliso Viejo. After searching hotels in that area we chose to stay at the Best Western Plus Irvine Spectrum in Lake Forest as it seemed to meet all our needs. My wife and I spent seven nights there while our son spent three nights and our daughter stayed for two nights and we all enjoyed our stay. This hotel is located very close to Highway 5 wihich makes it very convenient for driving to John Wayne Airport, Irvine, Anaheim, or even San Diego as well as attractions in Orange County. It is also a short walk from several restaurants and a short drive from many more restaurants and a supermarket. All the rooms in this hotel are suites, with the bedroom in the back and a sitting room in the front which has a refrigerator and microwave. Each room in the suite had a nice flat screen television and many cable channels were available for viewing. Our rooms were located on the second level all had one king bed. Other rooms are available containing two queen size beds. I thought our bed was very comfortable and slept well each night. Breakfast is included with your stay at this hotel and it provided us with plenty of options to choose from. The hot foods offered were scrambled eggs, sausages, bacon, hash browns and they were cooked as they were needed. The gentlemen who were cooking the food would also cook eggs to order when time permitted. There were breads and english muffins that could be toasted as well as an assortment of small pastries and muffins. Our son even used a self service waffle iron to make waffles on two mornings. Cereal was also available which several of us ate and enjoyed. We also had yogurt and fruit which was available every day. For fruit there were apples, bananas, and oranges and they were all delicious. Coffee, tea, milk, and juice were the available beverages. This hotel has a pool and a hot tub. One of the reasons we chose this hotel is because of the pool as my wife is an avid lap swimmer. Unfortunately, it was about ten degrees colder than normal during our stay so my wife found the pool too cold for her use after trying it one time. We did make use of the hot tub which was relaxing. An exercise room is on site which we did not use and there is a small computer area which we did use to check our home email and to print out our boarding passes for our flight home when our trip completed. As you can see, this hotel had all the amenities that we needed. What made our hotel stay even better was interacting with the employees at this hotel. Everyone that we met there was very personable, friendly, and helpful. From the front desk staff, to the gentlemen who were staffing the breakfast area, to the housekeeping staff all were a credit to this hotel. Based on our experience we highly recommend this hotel and would stay there again if we ever go back to Orange County California!

I loved the room I got. It was suite so it was perfect and so much room! We got there after 830pm and were treated with a smile and fast. We were tired. Breakfast was AMAZING the staff in the dinning room was so interactive and they were so helpful. The stay was amazing!

Especially Selena and Michelle they go above and beyond for their guest to make you feel comfortable and at home! Good job Best Western Plus for finding these great employees! Keep up the great work Selena!

Stayed here with my boyfriend for 1 night in the King Whirlpool suite. Upon checking in we actually received the King corner whirlpool suite without the extra charge, which I absolutely loved and would probably want to get again. The exterior of the hotel appeared very shabby looking which had us second guessing our choice. There is a very nice looking Holiday Inn down the street. However, once settled in the front desk staff was very friendly, everything was clean, breakfast was good. Location was great, close enough to the freeway entrance. Variety of places to eat all around. Some construction going on in the lot next door which woke us up earlier in the morning. All in all I would definitely stay here again for the same experience.

Needed a last minute room and the Staff was pleasant and accommodating to my request. Room was nice and clean and location was great. Quiet area Breakfast was offered and it was great. will stay here again.

Whenever we visit South Orange county, we like to be at a comfortable location that has access to the areas we are visiting. This Best Western fits the bill every time. We have stayed at several other locations in the area, this is great for our needs. If we need to go to John Wayne airport it is about a 15 minute ride. The shopping, churches, restaurants and other places we attend are nearby as well. Always clean, staff is very good, and always helpful!

Hotel is not well maintained, obviously putting nothing into long term maintenance and upkeep. This is an "old time" motel, even though it is multi-story. Should be considered with the very low end hotels/motels. I couldn't get out of there fast enough.

This hotel is very nice. Rooms were clean and spacious. Liked having the extra living area separate from the bedroom. The bathtub was large however, the shower head could have been better. Seemed like it needed to be replaced as the spray was all wonky. The beds were comfortable but the pillows were a little lumpy. The hotel was quiet and I enjoyed the free breakfast.

I've stayed here before and will stay here again. Plenty of parking, nice lobby, tasty breakfast cooked in front of you, staff helpful and courteous. Far enough from the highway for relative quiet which is important to me with my afternoon naps.

A perfect hotel in a reasonably quite area off the major highway which is what I wanted after having business meetings all day. The best part was the hot breakfast that you don't even get at a 4 star hotel. Any included in the price of the room.

Having to work through the Holidays, staff members are pleasant, professional, and diligent. Through no fault of their own on a minor problem, Front Office acknowledged and profusely apologized on the issue that had inconvenienced them more than us.

Bucks Vacation The stay was enjoyable and it's located across the street from Sammy's Original Sports Bar. Plenty of TV's for all sports and Off Track Betting is a bonus for someone like me that enjoys the ponies.

This Best Western was extremely clean and quiet. We arrived and we're upgraded so our room had a jacuzzi tub and an additional bedroom upstairs. Breakfast was really good. They served scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, hashbrowns and they had the usual oatmeal, cereal, toast and yogurt. It was nice that breakfast was served until 10 a.m. The front desk were very cordial and the hotel is extremely quiet.

Awesome location and very clean! The staff is great and very accommodating! We had a volleyball tournament in OC, and this location was only 15-minutes away from the gym! The breakfast was included too, so that helped!

We enjoyed the stay. We had a room on the 4th floor. It was a suite, so had a sofa bed in the front room. We liked it because we didn't have to sit on the bed to watch TV. We could have, as there were two TVs. We liked being able to sit in the chair or the couch. The door between the room was able to be closed for sound reduction. The bed was comfortable and we didn't toss and turn as in some hotels. The breakfast was very good and the hot items were cooked continuously while we were there. Plenty to choose from and fresh fruit was available. We didn't go in the jacuzzi or pool, but they were available. Also there is an exercise room, but were there only for a short time so didn't see it. The room AC/heater unit can be controlled for white noise sound machine running the fan continuously or just when you want heat or AC.

Room was pretty big and clean,plus the breakfast was so tasty. This hotel is so close to everything, so many restaurants near it and a mcdonalds just around the corner. Really enjoyed my 2 nights here, will be back for sures.

This hotel is highly recommended. We stayed there and it was clean, staff was great and the breakfast even better. Eggs made fresh and not laying in a tray after being warmed up. Nice fresh hash-browns as well. Stay here if going to the Irvine area. Comfortable beds and ample parking.

I stayed three nights at this hotel recently. The room I stayed in was nice and clean. It was a one bedroom suite, that had a small balcony. The room was very comfortable and had pretty much everything I needed, though a full length mirror would have been helpful. The breakfast was very good, with most everything you might want to have in the morning. The staff were very nice, helpful, and professional. I've stayed at a number of Best Western Plus hotels, and this one was definitely the best.

Although this property is sort of hidden behind some office buildings right off the freeway, it's a good little property with great staff, great big rooms and full breakfast. They give you water bottles upon checking in AND checking out! The pool, although not heated, is large enough as is the spa. The housekeeping staff is very efficient. Great value!

Hotel is a random area. Seems like there's plenty of parking. Two room suite is nice. Building itself seems outdated and could use some work here and there. Mini fridge had no temp dial so it took forever for beverages to get cold. Two tvs is a nice deal but the remotes are laggy. The tv service sucks and constantly lags and restarts. Bathroom set up is odd. Don't like the idea of the sink being right next to the bedroom TV. Whoever did the house keeping in my room did not replace the used bottles of shampoo and conditioner. There were also some spiderwebs. Curtains are so old and worn. Need to be replaced. So glad they have central air. I hate those inefficient wall units. My room is cool and comfortable. One thing I noticed was annoying is that the rooms aren't very sound proof at all. I heard people outside all night long. Especially because of the sliding door to the balcony. It's an old, thin worn out door. If someone is talking on their phone on the balcony in the room next to yours, you can hear the conversation. Get a room on the top floor if you don't you'll hear people stomping around from the room above. Not the hotels fault but there is alot of construction going on both sides of the hotel. If you want quiet don't stay here. This is supposed to be a best western plus?? I expected alot better from a best Western plus.

Comfortable suite accommodations with better than average breakfast. The spa whirlpool is well maintained, and the swimming pool was perfect for a slow breaststroke. Good comfort to cost ratio. Tucked away between two I-5 exits in the heart of Orange County.

Good value. Good location. Helpful staff. Just what I needed for my business trip. Suite was nice and roomy to work in. Easy access to freeways. I would recommend. Looks like more is going in close by - should make it even better. (I almost never give 5s)

i try to stay at best westerns when i travel since i am a rewards member. this hotel was close to restaurants and some stores within walking distance. also close to freeway but far enough not to hear noise. stayed here to attend a concert at five points arena. it was a good choice.

I have been a BW Platinum/Diamond member for over ten years. This by far was the worst experience staying at a BW Hotel ever!! When we arrived, during a very hot spell, we found the A/C was off in the room. It was not until almost Mid-night (4 hours) before the room was cool enough to sleep. In using the bathroom, we found water dripping from the ceiling (we were on the third floor). Called the front desk and was told they would send up a maintenance person to check things out. One never showed. Called the front desk and the person there (Chidair) said the person went to the floor above us and said the water was from a dripping shower. After further conversation, I was told they did not have an evening maintenance person. I was then told by Michelle the water was from a dripping A/C and there was nothing they could do about it. But there was not anyone in the room above us and the A/C was not on. Said they would send up some towels and clean it up. Person came up and literally threw the towels at my wife and left. No one came to clean or check the area. I needed to iron some clothes for a very special event the next day. The iron was broken like someone had thrown it to the ground, the plug would not stay in the outlet because the outlet was worn out. When using the shower the next morning the drain cover "popped out" leaving a 2" opening in the center which fortunately a foot did not slip into. The way were treated and lied to by the front desk was unprofessional and rude to a valued loyal customer. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone and would strongly recommend you find a different place to stay.

The hotel had a nice pool and an excellent breakfast. Rooms were spacious. I personally do not like having the wash basin next to the beds,- I like to wash in private. The sofa turned into an extra bed but was very uncomfortable.

This was my first stay here and will be my last. Hotel management has an obligation to inform guests of any construction in progress, otherwise they are misleading guests while withholding information until it is too late to cancel your reservation without paying for some portion of the reservation. In addition, with the large rooms, the hotel appeared popular with large groups / families; resulting in overcrowding the undersized pool (safety may be an issue here since there was apparently no lifeguard on duty). The breakfast room was also overcrowded. I rank the breakfast as average if you tolerate reconstituted eggs. The overall concern with Best Western hotels is the lack of consistency across those that I have experienced.

We always try to stay with Best Western when we can. Our focus of this stay was Laguna beach. We spent a day at the Art Festival and attended the wonderful Pagent of the Masters performace....a must see if you've never experienced it. Despite the fact that our stay coincided with a HUGE girls softball tournament and several teams were staying at the hotel, we had a pleasant stay. Our room had a spare seating area which helped keep the pool noise to a minimum. We had requested early check in and the front desk staff was very accommodating in getting us in early...thank you! The breakfast has a wide variety of choices including freshly cooked eggs, bacon and has browns. I want to give the cook KUDOS for not only keeping up with the demand but for also preparing a "to go" plate for our teenage son who couldn't get up in time (we did let him sleep in) for breakfast. We did run into an issue with the drier not working. The company that oversees the units thought it was because there were too many coins in the coin catcher, but there must have been another issue. We did let the front desk know. Luckily we were able to hit a Laundromat less than a mile away right before they closed!

Hotel is located just off the I-5 Freeway but you can't hear the freeway noise. Two youth teams were also staying at the hotel during our overnight stay. While you could hear the kids having fun while outside, once inside our room, we couldn't hear them (and all rooms are 'right off the pool area' where the kids were playing). Pleasant surprise! Fridge didn't work in room, even after someone came up to 'fix it' for us, but overall it was a very nice stay.

We had plans to go to Laguna Beach for the Arts Festival and Pagent of the Masters and enjoy a day at the beach as well as meeting family living in “The OC” area so we selected this hotel which was ideal to meet all of these needs. We were met by friendly staff and a free upgrade to a wonderful suite with jacuzzi tub. A nice breakfast provided and the pool were other amenities we enjoyed. A great location for freeways, airport, shopping, and the beach.

We stayed here as an entire lacrosse team of families for a tournament. The facility was great. Location is close to Great Park Sports Complex. They were very helpful to find us conference room space for team events and meals. Rooms were clean and up to date. Pool was clean and not crowded.

Large room, pet friendly and comfortable. Had a patio out the back for fresh air. Nice selection for breakfast. Fairly standard room but a good value for the area. There is a lot of light around the pool area which can be distracting but closing the slider door between rooms helped.

This hotel is close to UCI. Stay there for my daughter's graduation. We had a roomy suite. Checked in late with no problems. Breakfast in the morning had a large variety. Easy on and off the freeway, but no freeway noise.

It was good - a solid 3, just nothing that wowed me enough to push it to a 4. I'd stay here again if I got a good deal. There are 2 other hotels within a block - I would probably price check them, too before booking. The good: I love the suite configuration of the rooms - a “living room” plus having the sinks outside of the bathroom makes family travel much more pleasant. Many rooms on the third-floor and higher had a very nice balconies, too. The breakfast is similar to other best westerns, but the hot eggs & meats were served by the cook from behind a sneeze guard - no grubby kid hands in the bacon! There is ample free parking, much of it covered, and the location of the hotel is wonderful - near many stores, restaurants, and the freeway. The OK: front desk was polite and efficient, housekeeping was adequate, and the carpets, beds, and bathroom were fine - no complaints from any of my kids except the one that tried to sleep on the sofa bed. They all enjoyed the pool and spa. My only real suggestion would be to show local news at breakfast instead of Fox News (or CNN, for that matter) - I am here to enjoy local attractions, not contentious partisan bickering first thing in the morning.

The room was nice, except the fire alarms went off becouse we took a shower!!!!! Wh itch is absolutely Ridiculous!!!!!!! Also there was the large group of children running around like wild animals threw the hallways yelling and screaming most of the day and early in the morning unattended! You aren't allowed to VAPE in the rooms, but you can let your kids run around the hotel and lobby like wild animals! There are no signs warning parents and requiring them to be responsible for their offspring even when being disrespectful and disrupting the peace. Not a completely happy stay! And forget breakfast! Thanks kids for grossing me out and turning my breakfast by sneezing on the food and touching most of it with their bare hands! Yuck yuck yuck!!!!!! ??????????

Stayed there for business company paid for the room. But would stay here when I'm back in the area. Easy access from the freeway. Great complementary amenities: Free HOT BREAKFAST (yes really hot cooked on a griddle), free WIFI, and parking. Will recommend to friends and family.

This hotel is conveniently located off the highway which made my commute easy. The breakfast, WIFI and free parking is a PLUS. Will be returning to this location in the near future. The hotel is fairly price for the amenities that are included with your stay.

Had used this hotel for my wedding party for our Laguna wedding, not very impressed with the room or the management, the only person that was on top of things that were wrong was the evening front desk guy. I don't believe we will stay here again for future visits to the Laguna area

My wife and I visited from out of state for a long weekend to attend a relative's wedding. The suite was spacious, the breakfast better than at many "breakfast included" places (it was a meal not continental), and the value was very good. Would have graded value as a "5" if it had been a category for ranking.

Very nice suite, loved the separation from the living room to the beds, TVs in both rooms, clean room, great maid service, nice pool and spa, great breakfast, waffles, eggs, hash browns, toast, muffins, pastry, would stay again

Very Good hotel, near restaurants and grocery stores. Good variety at breakfast. Suites were good for business travel. Only complaint was that the Hot tub was dirty-foamy and had a strange odor. Overall though it is a convenient hotel for business travel due to proximity to Irvine.

I have thought long and hard about this review, but I believe people should know what this hotel is all about. So, starting the day of check-in, we arrived at the hotel to find that we had no rooms and the place was sold out except for one room. The guy at the front desk, evening shift worker, was phenomenal, he gave us the one room they had which we were able to get our family of 7 into. We got into our room that night, which was a beautiful room except for the air conditioning drain above your head in the shower that drops freezing cold water on your head while you shower and the ants that were all over the counters. The room is equipped with a loft area which helped us with the large family. I have to say that staff there is AMAZING they do go above and beyond in a hard situation, I truly believe it's more of an owner issue not taking care of things. There a lot of negatives that we encountered, from rooms that were trashed when other wedding party people went to check in to wrong rooms to no rooms to elevators breaking down, and we were on the fourth floor. All of this said it was even heightened by the fact I was having my wedding which we went to the hotel in January to plan so this wouldn't happen. To come full circle I rate this place a 1 from a scale of 1-10, because of the ants, drain in shower over your head, and the lovely bit of not having rooms for the bride and groom but they did for the entire wedding party??.

A very nice hotel to use during your travel by yourself or with family.Service was great and you get a free full breakfast not a continental breakfast. There is also a shopping mall nearby. The street leading to the hotel is a little tricky, it's a turn off that you might pass by.

Our stay was a disaster and a lot of work on top of keeping long hours. The sofa bed mattress was covered in plastic, the sheets were damp, and the bed itself was broken . I called for fresh bedding and slept on the folded sofa. (The 2 queen beds were being used by other family members.) Our room was across from a housekeeping room and I had to get up at 11:30PM at night to ask the maintenance guy to be quiet because my baby and I couldn't sleep from all the banging around. Why would they schedule loud work while guests are sleeping? The floors of the upstairs lobby were wet and incredibly slippery. Sure, there were wet floor signs, but it was concerning to navigate and difficult to walk on. Why not just lay down rugs to keep your guests safe? We skipped breakfast on Saturday because there wasn't enough staff & the lines were long. Why not plan ahead and make sure you have the appropriate help? The day we left, my daughter stepped out of our room and house keeping emptied a bucket of what we hope was water over the balcony and drenched her. Why would they dump more water over an already wet walkway, let alone where guests are walking?!? The front desk needs some serious training in customer service. I was told on Day 1 of a 4 night stay I would get a 20% discount for my room but in the end I had to argue for it. Day 2, I was told I would hear back from them in 10 minutes and never did. Day3, I was supposedly called by an assistant manager. Why didn't he leave a message? (I was in a meeting!) I had to ask the front desk the next day if someone tried to call. They said yes he wanted to ask permission to enter the room to fix the sofa bed because we had the “do not disturb” sign on the door. They entered anyways. Of course I had that on the door. After my experience with housekeeping why would I want them in my room? Of course I would say yes to fixing the bed. It wasn't until upon check out that it was confirmed to me the bed had been fixed. And I have yet to actually speak to management. While checking out & relaying the water dumping experience which had just happened, I went back to the room to get my purse and came back to the desk to pay and the front desk guy looked at me dead pan and asked me, how can I help you? I was just talking to you 5 minutes ago and I am here to pay for my room. No joke. At least the girl had a longer memory and paid attention. The lack of professionalism is beyond words. In my opinion, all of these details could have been avoided with proper staff training, communication and protocol. The lack of management is unfortunate because the location of the hotel, lay out of the room and the price could make this a repeat return for us and a recommendation to colleagues. But I will in no way be doing either.

The location and price are great for a Suite Room. Room was nice and clean. All the staff was helpful during my stay. Breakfast was enjoyable. Location is near Irvine Spectrum Center and Outlets for shopping.

This is an older property , while well maintained it is in need of renovation. The rooms are noisy especially if you are next to a room with a jacuzzi. The location is great and while the rates create value it's really about trade offs.

Checked in to an old style motel. It had seen better days. The staff was friendly. The room was on the fourth floor. A very slow elevator guided you there. Walked along an outside hallway to a battered door, and opened it. I could have been Don Johnson filming an episode of Miami Vice back in the day. The room was clean and well appointed with a one night stay of provisions. The bed was old school and uncomfortable, but it was appointed with a lot of pillows. In the morning, the water took a bit to get hot, but in the end, it was. All good. I checked out easily then popped in to check out the breakfast. It was like any other except for the guy behind the counter serving it to you on a plate. Overall not too bad for the price.

The room was nice, and clean. So, we were 85% there as far as I'm concerned. Outside the room, there was no charm or ambiance, which sometimes you don't need but is always welcome. It is a motel and it just can't lose that motel feel once you are outside, but it is in suburban California, so it felt safe and warm. The lobby and the breakfast room lacked personality And accept the wonderful guy who greeted us when we first arrived, the staff never spoke to us or greeted us unless we approached them with our quick question. It was like a timeshare in that I felt like we were on our own, but no one was in our hair either. The breakfast was not worth the price of "free" and I've a low standard for "free". Otherwise there was nothing wrong with the hotel. We only wanted a place to sleep as we spent all of our waking time with our family who lived near the hotel so it was fine. And the room had two beds plus a pull out couch which is nice when we are traveling with our two teenage kids who prefer not to share a bed. Convenient to SNA airport-I think it was a 15 minute drive. Surrounded by a couple empty lots, which did not help the ambiance, but close to a freeway entrance. Located in a the Orange County suburbs, so a short drive to most any shop, mall, Costco, etc. No inspiring place to walk to or cute coffee shop nearby that I could see.

What a great decision it was to stay here! During my 4 day 3 night stay, I was always greeted with a hello and a smile from all staff. The room was very clean and spacious. Every morning I had a great breakfast provided by the hotel staff. My room was put together while I was away during the day perfectly. I would highly recommend this hotel for your next stay!

We have stayed here quite a bit recently due to its convenience to a family member. Generally, it is comfortable and the price is reasonable. The breakfast is quite average. My main problem is the number of problems we encountered. Once the message light on the phones was blinking although there was no message (called but was not resolved). Our last stay came with a slew of problems. Off and on blinking light in sink area (did not report until we left). One television not working (reported and resolved). Outlet for dryer not working (called and resolved). The topper however was one of the days we were there we came back to find the towels gone (ok because used) but NO towels to replace them. Called front desk twice before received some towels (only the three large ones).

Great experience every time i stay here. Nice rooms , especially the suites. they even have a couple with whirlpools. Quiet hotel with nice, comfortable bed. I have no complaints and will stay here again next time.

This hotel is very warm and the staff personable. Relaxing place to stay. Rooms and beds were comfortable. Breakfast was a full breakfast which was great. Even an attendant at breakfast. I always stay here when in area.

The rooms were Clean, The Staff was very Helpful, in fact they were a pleasure to deal with. We felt that the rates were very fair. Highly Appreciate. Would recommend staying here, I know that 6we will be back next year.

The older out of date hotel and room had everything that mattered to us: Cleanliness, comfortable beds, quiet, spacious, great shower, free safe parking and a wonderful fresh home made breakfast cooked in front of you. No pre-made, frozen or imitation food. Fresh eggs, hashbrowns, turkey bacon and sausage served to you in a real plate (not paper) by the chef. Nothing fancy, just comfort!!

We stayed here for 2 nights over the Thanksgiving weekend. We were pleased to see that the sofa bed could be separated from the other part of the room by a sliding door, which gave our 17 year old son a little privacy and his own tv. One annoying feature was that the bathroom sink was part of the bedroom, which made it difficult to see early in the morning as my wife and I prepared to go eat breakfast while our teens slept. The complimentary breakfast was quite good. Fresh cooked eggs, bacon, sausage and hash browns were available each morning, along with 3 types of cold cereal; 2 types of fruit juice; cook your own waffles; yogurt; toasts and bread. I found the hash browns to be restaurant quality. Overall, pleased with the stay, but wish the bathroom sink was in the bathroom.

We drove out from AZ to see our new grand baby. Niece. We were very happy that this hotel allowed pets and we happy with the room. The maid staff was very polite and helped getting us clean blankets And towels when we asked The front desk staff was awesome and very helpful printing out any Directions to help us get to and from various places. Breakfast was also delicious and had everything anyone could ask For and there was staff on hand to keep tables cleaned and floors Litter free. We will return. : )

Nothing about this hotel wowed me. Even in an average hotel, if the customer service is spectacular, I can overlook almost anything else. Front Desk wasn't rude, but they didn't go out of their way to treat me and my family who booked 2 rooms, like valued guests. Breakfast was okay. Could have had real bacon instead of turkey bacon, but I guess that's a way they save money. The rooms were okay. If you have to use the sofa sleeper, you won't get a comfortable nights rest. Also weird having the bathroom sink outside of the bathroom(was inside the bedroom) bring your own toilet paper...they use the cheapest quality of everything. Towels are so rough scratched my skin. They are in dire need of replacing. All that said, for $85, free parking and a do-able breakfast, in a clean/safe area it was a decent value. The staff could use some customer service training. After all this is the hospitality industry.

I am reluctant to review this hotel because it is the best bargain in southern California. Spotless, excellent location, very good breakfast so low in price it is scary. My reluctance in writing this review is that too many people will start visiting this property.

We got a decent price for the room and I'd say it is a solid 3 star hotel. Room was in"older" condition. The hot/cold water in shower didn't work so great. But again, for the money it was a fine room. If I had to do over again, I'd probably try and pay a bit more to get a bit more. Note: We had a small dog. We paid $20 per night and I am pretty sure we got the "Pet friendly" room. Code for one of the crappier rooms they offer.

There's plenty of attractions not that far away from this location. Great price compared to staying around Anaheim. Parking is tight due to location but easy access to the interstates. Nice and quiet with plenty of choices for breakfast. Would stay again.

The Best Western PLUS is supposed to provide a more premium experience and this property certainly did deliver! The room smelled fresh and clean. Everything worked properly. The furniture, towels, sheets, and other amenities were in excellent condition and definitely of higher quality than a standard BW hotel. There was a parking garage with a roving security officer. The pool and jacuzzi were operational, fun and in great condition. I wasn't able to take advantage of the free breakfast as I left too early every day. I did eat at The Hat, a delicious restaurant with pastrami or roast beef sandwiches. The Hat is a 1/4 mike away north of the hotel. I highly recommend this hotel if you are staying in the Lake Forest area.

We always stay at the Best Western Plus Irvine Spectrum because they have a wonderful hot breakfast station with a friendly fellow serving us AND because of the 24 hour fitness AND because of the friendly front desk staff AND because of the rooms are really suites! On this trip we accidentally left medication in the fridge and got an immediate call that they had it for us t safely in the fridge by the front desk. WOW!

I was able to rest with the help of my pain meds. If not for them I don't think I could have rested with out it. Also if there was going to be work done to the hotel or around it I would have gone to another location,

We stay here annually and are never disappointed. It's usually quiet though this time we did have some loud neighbors. The breakfast is excellent. Staff is very helpful. Good location and reasonable rates.

Was in Irvine for a business trip. Visited the city when everything was around $200+/night for some reason. Best Western was slightly more than $130. Location is good-it is close to the highway, but not facing the highway, and is 5 minutes from Irvine Spectrum and 10 minutes from UC Irvine. Both may be driven locally to avoid freeway traffic. Hotel was pretty nice, rooms were clean, liked the 2-room bedroom/living room separation format. Facilities were nice, breakfast was nice (if the usual continental breakfast), parking was free and easily accessible. I'd probably use it again.

Room was huge. Big TV. Clean and neat property inside and out. We'll definitely stay there again. Close to everything. We stayed at a suite with two queen beds and a separate room with a couch, desk, coffee table, dresser, and fridge. I couldn't believe the price was around a hundred bucks.

I felt like royalty at this hotel. The front desk staff were so professional and helpful. All of the staff at this hotel we're very professional. I really enjoyed my stay. My goal was to rest and relax and that is exactly what I did.

I enjoyed every part of the room and the hotel is nice and kept up well. The breakfast was delicious although I was surprised they did not have bagels and cream cheese but everything they did provide was tasty. The only reason why I gave an average rating and not excellent was because when I asked if they had a room and I told the gentleman that I needed a room for the night and possibly another night due to being forced to evacuate due to the Canyon2 Fires, he showed no concern for my ordeal. I playfully asked if there was an evacuation discount or if he could possibly check to see if I could get a slighter lower rate. I was going to stay there anyway but he didn't even bat an eyelash about it. He just smirked and said your total is $$$. I gave him my credit card and off I went to the room. I didn't expect a discount because I know it isn't his fault I was evacuated but he could have shown some concern or said, let me see what I can do for you. Again, even if the answer was no, like I figured it would be, it would have been nice for him to go and ask. Other than that, it is a great hotel and I will definitely stay there again if I need a place.

on my stay I got good price average $100 per night with 2 beds nice room and nice breakfast. staffs are nice. will back for sure. location is nice area. a lot of shop and restaurant are around where you live.

The hotel was better than our expectation. The people were friendly and willing to help. The room was spacious. I like having the two rooms as I could read while my husband watched sports. My only suggestion is to make sure you spray the waffle machine as mine stuck and was hard to get out!

Stayed here while visiting my 96 year old aunt. Was very pleasantly surprised by hotel. Expected serviceable, got much more. The rooms were very large. Two queen beds in one room, and another separate room(pocket door ) with couch, chair, tv, fridge and microwave. Housekeeping was as good or better than any five star hotel we have stayed at. Breakfast was very good and made fresh. Only con is it is the same daily, bit there are enough choices for variety on a longer stay. Front desk people super nice and attentive. We had a broken lock and ten minutes later someone was there to fix it! If you put out your do not disturb sign housekeeping leaves you a note with a number to call when you are ready. Up until 2pm you can get housekeeping . Definitely recommend this hotel.

Very good night, Beautiful room clean, quiet and nice suite. The staff was very attentive to our needs, The breakfast is excellent they have a chef that was making eggs bacon sausage and hash browns. The staff during breakfast kept the area clean and well stocked too.

Irvine place was very nice clean quiet very mind relaxing In the morning the staff was very helpful food was amazing everything with clean nice and then order I would recommend this hotel to anyone that is traveling in Irvine or Anaheim orange county area

Great sound proofing and location. Even with nearby construction we did not hear it in our room. Perfect two-room set up with microwave and refrigerator. PET FRIENDLY!!! Great value for travel to beaches and amusement parks.

The hotel and hotel staff was GREAT! Got everything I needed and you beat it for the price you pay for. It will be my go to Hotel when I'm in the Irvine area. Rene will take care of all your questions or needs,very professional.

They provided great service and had an amazing staff. The breakfast had variety. Very clean rooms. We were in town for my mother's funeral and the room was perfect for our needs. Fair price. Definitely will stay again when back in town.

That was the best breakfast I have ever had in a hotel. The front desk staff could not have been nicer or more helpful. The room was oddly set up. The sink was in the bedroom and not in the bathroom. We did hear our upstairs neighbors walking around. Luckily they went to bed early.

We live in central California and love to visit So Cal when we can as we grew up there. We decided to find a place affordable and off the beaten path so we could drive to enjoy all the places we visit in Orange County while we're there! This was a great find and we were able to fit our family in one room for a decent price! It's a little dated but definitely worth what we paid! Would visit again!

We were not expecting to find an airport like hotel at lake forest. The neighborhood is supposed to be very high level, but it just a normal hotel, next to the highway 5. The wifi was not working very well, neither the ICE machine. In the mean time, the room was big, with a kind of living room separate d from the bed room, this is really nice. The bed was comfy (firm but not too much). The AC is integrated and not so noisy (i don't like the noisy AC machines). The breakfast is always the same (eggs/bacon/sausages/hash browns) but it's nice for a short period. The hotel is not that far from the beaches but need to take highways, hopefully we could take carpool line to make it in 30 minutes. I think I would come back if the price is not too high.

They allow pets! The exterior of the building is a bit run down looking, but the inside is a little better. The cable was shut off the day we were checking out, which was lame. But overall, it's an okay hotel for the price.

Best Western has remodeled their hotels, are focusing on customer service and have won us over. We had a nice stay in Irvine and would recommend this hotel to our friends. Breakfast was cooked to order and was so good. The staff was helpful and friendly and never made us feel like we were a burden. The property is in a good location and is clean and well kept. We'll be back as soon as we can!

The check in was fast and easy. Staff at the front desk was professional and friendly. Room was super nice! Very spacious great for business trips! Bathroom was pretty big and clean, nice deep tub. Tv, fridge, micro & AC worked, everything was super clean. Clean carpeting. Good phone service. Clean bedding and sheets. Wifi worked. Nice size parking lot located at property with plenty of parking. Big clean towels. Elevator located at property. Nice swimming pool area. Love the decor. The sink was super cool. No bad oders! Good house keeping. Complimentary breakfast is available upon stay. Very quiet during my visit.

Although the pet friendly hotel rooms have absolutely no view (just a large walled-in patio on the second floor), the room was very nice with a real living room and a large bedroom with 2 comfortable queen beds. Two TV's, nice water flow, clean, everything was perfect.

This is a businessman's location not far from the freeway. (Noisy outside, but not inside the room). In a NICE office park and the hotel is up to the needs of a busy executive. It suited these two tourists visiting nearby friends just fine: a two-room suite with TVs in each room, a separate desk and lamp, a little balcony, a big bath with lots of towels, a comfortable bed. Everything looked new and freshly decorated. The breakfast was cooked by a chef on the spot in the dining room,so the eggs, sausage,etc were really fresh and tasty. The dining room overlooks a pretty swimming pool. But I really wish Best Western would lower their shower heads--way too high for a short person to adjust them!

The Best Western Spectrum is a great price value for this area. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Breakfast actually has a cook to make eggs, hash browns, bacon and sausage. Much better than your average "continental" breakfast. This is "continental plus".

This hotel has a good location, close to freeways and the Irvine Spectrum. Staff very professional and helpful. We will be staying at this hotel again in the future. The breakfast staff was on tp of things making sure area was clean and you had everything that you wanted.

We stayed at this hotel while attending a conference in the area. The rooms are clean, beds are comfortable so it was sufficient. The breakfast was mediocre at best and the supplies were not kept up sufficiently because the room was understaffed. There was only one working ice machine in the entire place - and we were there in August! It's hot out. Ice is kind of important!

stayed here for 3 nights with the wife on a leisure trip to laguna beach/newport. Hotel is right off the the 5 freeway in a convenient location. parking can get dicey especially late at night when we checked in (spots in the garage are very small). they had one gentleman working the counter when we checked in and he was busy helping another guest so we had to wait (not long) but we had no idea if anyone was at the desk or not. The lady in front of us got fed up and left. but after this we had a very nice experience. the room was large and comfortable. internet worked fine. the breakfast dining area is muggy/crowded especially at peak times. egg/hashbrowns are served by a cook and otherwise they had waffles and pastries/cereal with some fruit. dining area was a bit uncomfortable given the heat. they have a nice interior sitting/dining area at reception/lobby so was unsure why this was not used for breakfast purposes. best part of hotel is probably its location. about 8 miles from laguna beach (took a while to get there due to traffic but still not bad). only 5 minutes from irvine spectrum center. and right next to highway 5. overall a quality stay for a decent price compared to other much more pricey hotels closer to the beaches.

Good location for our travel. Many near by restaurants to choose from with wide variety of types of food. A cook cooking eggs, sausage and bacon fresh each morning. Very clean and well appointed dining area. Staff super freiendly and on the ball. Hide-a-bed was not good even as they go. Mattress cover was loud crackly plastic and bottom sheet would not stay tucked in - uncomfortable for an adult. Nice room layout with separate bedroom area with TVs in each room. I'd definitely stay here again.

Hotel offered great amenities for a great price, room was very spacious and we liked the privacy of a corner room. Would stay here again if I'm ever back in this area. Would recommend this place to friend and family. Looks like great place to stay for families.

Have stayed at other Best Westerns in the past so I was a bit disappointed in this one. Felt it was a bit old and not kept us as well as it should have been. Some areas in our room were fine well others not so good. Torn shower curtains, safe & alarm clock not working, big red spot on carpet. The breakfast was good and the employees working in that area very nice. Probably won't stay at this hotel again.

Good 3 star hotel. Clean and friendly staff. Large room. Fridge microwave coffee maker. Bathroom in good condition. Everything works well. WAsher and dryer on the premises at $2 to run each machine but there is only 1 wAsher and 1 dryer. Plenty of free parking and the pool looked nice. Free breakfast was okay. Basic but good variety and it is all fresh.

Very satisfying stay in this hotel, the staff very kind and responsible. Breakfast is great, rooms are great, overall my stay was very pleasant. Definitely will recommend this hotel if you are going to be in the area.

We were looking for a hotel next to the Irvine Spectrum so we could walk over to it a have a cocktail, shop and walk back to the hotel. Turns out it's not close to the Spectrum. You would have to drive. As Best Western Plus hotels go, this was a bad experience. The TVs were analog, not HD. WiFi was unavailable during our stay. The toilet was broke upon arrival. No shuttle service available to the Spectrum. We left that night because it was so disappointing.

We stayed two nights at this hotel and we well impressed with quality and services of the hotel. Breakfast was well stock and attended were keeping tables clean. Room well decorated and clean. Parking is tight and challenging to find space for late arrival.

Young lady at the front desk was awesome, great customer service !!! Its hard to find, its on this little dinky street that doesn't even look like a street, its more like a merge opening, right above the freeway, you can only go in, no out. Its in an area that is still under construction like office complexes and they are still under construction. The parking leaves much to be desired, all spaces are compact and big pickups and SUVs take up 2 spaces leaving no parking. More handicap parking is needed. Rooms are as expected and as shown on website, could use a few hard pillows, all too soft. Breakfast here is a bonus with eggs and bacon/sausage & potatoes, in addition to toast. waffles, cereal, muffins. The pool & hot tub were probably nice but way too many kids for us to try to enjoy, we could hear the noise in our room. The pool is in the center of the hotel, so most rooms are facing the pool.

This was our first stay at the Best Western Plus Irvine Spectrum Hotel. The staff were amazing. They were extremely helpful and courteous. The hot breakfast is made on-site with a cook on staff. You can special order if you desire. The room we stayed in was beautiful and spacious. I recommend this hotel if you are in Irvine. You are not far from Disneyland and Knott's Berry Farm.

If you are in the Irvine area I highly recommend your booking your reservation at this hotel. The staff were extremely helpful and courteous. The breakfast served is freshly cooked in front of you. If you need something special they are very accommodating.

I loved everything about this stay. Made our time in LA that much more amazing. The pool was so nice, the hot tub helped us relax our sore muscles, and prepare for the next couple days of travel. The breakfast was delicious, and all the employees we came in contact with were so nice and helpful. Thanksss!!!!

First time staying at a Best Western Plus...will definitely be staying again on our future trips. The whole staff were accommodating, friendly, courteous and provided the best quality we have seen in a long time.

My daughter and I recently stayed a couple of nights at the B/W Plus on a short trip to the area. We found the property to be easy to find in a quite area. The facility was not fancy, but was clean and the staff was attentive. The room was nice with 2 double beds and a sitting room. The included breakfast (scrambled eggs, hash browns, sausage & toast) was excellent and was served by staff members. I always ask one question - would you stay there again? Yes I'd stay here if I ever decide to visit the area again. Thanks B/W.

I have stayed at this hotel at least 6 times. Honestly I'm not sure how they can be so reasonable and still turn a profit. If you have kids this is the ONLY hotel in the OC that you can have 6 people in the same room, still be comfortable and have an outstanding free breakfast at any where near this price. Did I mention the breakfast? Eggs (as in from an actual egg), hashbrowns, sausage, turkey bacon, juice, waffle maker (kids really dig this), muffins, yogurt, milk, cereal, fresh fruit, oatmeal, toppings bar, coffee and toast. All gratis. Rooms have an entry room with a TV chair, desk, pull out couch, fridge, microwave, the adjoining large room has two queens, closet, TV, and bathroom. The place has recently been remodeled to update the décor but they kept the price the same. :) The only issue I've ever had here is that I've had a parked rental car hit in the parking lot on two separate occasions. The hotel caters to a lot of construction workers and they all drive big beat up trucks. I assume it's always been one of them but I have no direct proof. So stay here but get the rental insurance!

Overall we were completely satisfied with our stay! And would definitely return to that location. We would also recommend others to stay there. Hopefully next time there will be more than one washer and dryer.

The rooms are very roomy and clean. The staff was very welcoming and attentive. We stayed at the hotel while we were in town for my sons water polo tournament and after spending the entire day in the sun it was so nice coming back to our hotel to relax and get some rest. The breakfast was great and plenty to start our day!! We will definitely be back and would recommend this hotel to all our friend and family!!

We were in the area to visit family. Check in was a breeze and the room was very nice. We had a separate living room which was nice. We were traveling with our dogs and ther was a nice grass area just across the street and a great area for a walk with them. Close to shopping but quiet. The bed was super comfy, better than most "hotel beds".

Friendly, courteous and accommodating staff. Nice, clean and updated rooms, beautifully decorated lobby, full breakfast and in-room coffee and conveniences. Will stay there again should the need arise.

We've had some odd schedules with our business travel and the hotels seem to be overpriced in the Newport, Irvine area. Some way over priced. We made two trips to the BWP Irvine Spectrum. The last trip was a bust on a deal in San Diego but the hotel was soooo nice to come to and call it a day. The desk people are always very nice and super accommodating. My room is always quiet and very comfortable. Breakfast staff people were so nice and friendly, the food was very good and the waffles are a treat. If you like simple and plain, this is the ticket. For a small breakfast room, the variety is very nice. This is a great home away from home for my business trips. No complaints at all but wonder about the bowl sink on top of the dresser near the TV. Just odd. Will be back many times, I'm sure. Looking forward to it. Just hope they don't raise the rates. You get a lot for your money but we operate on a tight budget.

The location of this hotel was well centered to shopping and dinning areas. It was only a few miles away from Laguna Beach and Dana Point. This is a perfect hotel stay for anyone who wants to spend a weekend at the beach but does not want to pay the high prices of being on PCH. You will get great service and save $$.

We started off with our reservation no longer confirmed because they OVERBOOKED. I had to sleep in the same bed with my sister and they offered us NOTHING in return! The man at the desk was dull and a poor communicator. We had kids jumping in the room above us and called the front desk. We needed to call twice because they didn't send anyone right away. Hotel and breakfast was okay; service was disappointing.

Too slow internet service. Even on my daily report, they didn't solve the problem. I was almost at the stage to leave the hotel but after changed the room, it was good. Except Internet rest were fine. I liked their breakfast service

Only chose this hotel because they had suites that slept 6, and we were traveling as a large family group. Plenty of parking, easy check in and spacious rooms. The best part of the stay was the complimentary breakfast. Lots to choose from, including hot options such as scrambled egg, bacon and sausage, freshly cooked by the friendly and efficient cook.

The location is pretty good if you have the car, Disneyland and several beautiful beaches are very closed, also sanclemont outlet, cidatel outlet is not too far. breakfast is good and room is comfortable. only the water is small and hard to make a good temperature for shower.

Hotel needs remodeling - not just paint this and that and call it good. We are not trying to put you guys down, we want you to succeed. Please update and remodel this Best Western. Ethernet connection to internet is needed in each room. The way breakfast is served needs improvement. Overall we were satisfied with this hotel, but the vacation would be much better in a more updated hotel. Thank you.

Nice looking hotel. Friendly desk service. Odd room: the bathroom sink is not in the bathroom; it's in the room itself. Strange architectural design. Breakfast was just okay. There was no cream cheese for the bagels, nor was there any jam or jelly. Not the best breakfast one can enjoy.

Old saggy mattresses, bad food. We came for a wedding and had to spend 4 nights there. End up with back and neck pain. Could not wait to get out from that hotel. Never again at that place. Would not recommend to anybody.

Great hotel for the price. The free parking and breakfast makes it even a better deal. Only drawback was upon check in, I requested a room away from the elevators, what did I get? A room by the elevator and also in front of the outside staircase.

Had to come suddenly because our home had flooded and we needed somewhere to be. We booked and while the outside is nothing exciting, the rooms were beautiful! Totally not what I was expecting! Two rooms - a sitting area and a bedroom, both of which were immaculate. Totally spacious enough for my family of 5 to spread out. The hot breakfast in the morning was great to fill my kids up on before taking them to school. The staff allowed me a super early check in as well as a late check out. They were very accommodating. We will definitely be back!

I was surprised to see how large the room was with the single king and hot tub. However, there were way too many downsides with this hotel to make up for it, and I'm generally not very picky. All I wanted was a place to sleep and maybe watch tv. Well, the AC doesn't work for one. The room was permanently musty and too warm to comfortably sleep in. It stayed at about 76 degrees in the room the entire time according to the thermostat. My sheets had dark brown stains on them near the seam, and the tv had two black parallel lines going through it. Also, there is a shared balcony between all the rooms on our side of the building on the second floor. A little disturbing when the walkway is right next to the bed. If the ac worked, and the price was lower, this would've been a fantastic stay. Unfortunately, there were so many little things wrong with the room, they made for an unpleasant visit.

This hotel was so nice and clean. My family loved it. We stayed here to go to Disneyland. It was only a 20 minute drive. We especially loved to hot breakfast. Someone cooks it right in front of us so it was nice and fresh. It had scrambled eggs, hash browns, sausage and bacon. They even served Sunkist oranges. My favorite!

After we left our room, housekeeping came. Upon our return, our son's water bottle had something extra added to it. It was now brown instead of clear. Housekeeping couldn't keep a straight face while I tried to find out what happened. Omar, the housekeeping manager kept laughing. He didn't take the situation serious until I started writing down all their names.

Surprised. Just a stopping point. Hotel was very nice and clean. There was a little bit of wear on the bathroom in our room - but just aesthetics. Room was spacious, beds excellent. We had 2Q and sofa bed setup - a suite. Only thing I didn't like re the room was that the bathroom sink was on the main credenza in the bedroom - ie., not tucked away by the bathroom. Exterior grounds - HUGE swarm of bees on the ground - dying? Very gross. But if you can get into your room, everything is great. Breakfast was so nice - actual service and plates (non-paper). Everything was very clean!

This hotel has a great location with easy access. We loved having 2 rooms so our daughter could sleep in. There was a soundproof door between the rooms and a TV in each. The staff was friendly, very clean, comfortable beds. Really have no complaints at all. Would stay here again.

Two TVs in two rooms separated by a closing door. Good turn down service. Great location. Close driving distance to everything and super short walking distance to restaurants McDonald's and convenience store. If you're looking for the best possible value this is it. If you are looking for something high end keep looking. Would absolutely return again.

When I walked in I was seriously very surprised. A king size suite was perfect for my husband and I on our getaway. Everyone in the staff was super friendly and very helpful. I would definitely recommend This hotel to my friends.

Best Western has always been my first choice of accommodation for more than 25 years. This hotel is the best one I ever have. The breakfast is good with a chef taking an order. Room is combatable and spacious.

We had a great time. The rooms were nice with 2 tvs and fridge. The breakfast was amazing. Very friendly staff. The hotel is a little out of the way but worth the drive. We always look for hotels that don't charge parking!

The property is clean and the staff at the front desk are very helpful. We checked in after 11PM and a gentlemen checked us in and he was very helpful. The room is clean and the beds are comfortable. The only thing that needs to be improve is the sofa bed in the living area. The foam is very thin and it's not comfortable.

The room we had was nice and unexpected to included a living room area, separated from the sleeping area. very comfortable and quiet area. Wifi was not always working ... appeared most of the time, only receiving a connection when we we out away from the property. Daily breakfast was disappointing. Toaster was not working. Scrambled eggs every morning were watery, hash browns were bland .. The workers appeared to be afraid, to even give you anything to eat. Could have been better tasting and better served as a buffet.

Used this hotel for a University Oceanography Field Course. 3 nights with 13 rooms. Great location to get to Laguna Beach, Dana Point, and other nearby beach communities. Excellent hot breakfast by Miguel. Comfortable large double suites. Highly recommend it!

Great location, clean room, great staff. Taking these surveys is the worst part of the stay. Not very pleased with having to write a 200 word essay. Can't get out of this section even when is says Skip this part. This could make me think twice about stayong sat this location again. Writing sa 200 worrd essay doeas not take a minute to complete. Again this is crazy.

Huge Room, Great Staff. Perfect experience from reservation to check-out. when I arrived, my room wasn't quite ready. After traveling all day, I was hungry and decided to grab a bite. When I got back, I had been upgraded and was put into a very large suite! WOW

This hotel offers great value for the price. If you want a hotel with easy access to Lake Forest, Laguna Beach, Irvine, Mission Viejo, this is the place to stay. The hotel is very close to Irvine Spectrum and easy access to freeway Interstate 5. The rooms are nice and have all you need. The staff is friendly and the breakfasts are good.

The room was pleasant. Internet and TV quality was passable but not excellent. Breakfast variety was standard but prepared as you watched. The facility is well maintained but age is starting to show in the furnishings.

We once again had need of a room for a overnight stay near Irvine. As we have done on three other occasions this year, we picked this Best Western. The rooms are very spacious, but the odd thing is that the "vanity" is built into the chest of drawers in the bedroom. This means that if one is an early riser and wants to shave, brush teeth, etc., the other party is going to be disturbed and probably get up even if they'd like to sleep longer. On the other hand, there is a "sitting room" which can be closed off by a pocket door, so that one can read, watch TV or work on a laptop without disturbing someone in the bedroom. So, please be advised.

Everything was great except the wifi. Could not get a strong enough signal to get any work done. I was however, in the top floor in the corner of the hotel, that may be the reason. The room however was great! It had a spiral staircase going to second bed! The breakfast in the morning completely surprised me!

Spent one night here with family but cannot recommend. Sleeping on the sofa bed was like sleeping on a bed of springs. More concerning, the bottom of the sofa bed mattress was absolutely filthy. En route to the breakfast room in the morning, we came across a pillow outside that was soiled with upchuck. Not too appetizing. The pool was not heated sufficiently.

Trying to find a hotel in California that is close to affordable is difficult at best. I'm used to traveling for business, and staying at Hilton, Marriott, Hyatt. I wasn't sure what to expect from a Best Western. The last time I stayed at one was when I was 10 traveling with my parents from Michigan to Florida. I have to say I was very pleasantly surprised. I am traveling with my wife and two daughters, 17 and 20. The area is very nice, the parking was plentiful and free. The lobby is nice, not huge, but nice. The desk staff was friendly. The room was a two queen room, the unexpected part was that there was an extra sitting room with a closable door. The bathroom was clean and updated. The breakfast was included, and offered both hot and cold choices. Acceptable food, not great but not terrible. Our price was about 100 per night, a good value for Orange county California. All in all, i was impressed. Not sure of all the differences, but this is a Best Western Plus. I might have to start looking into Best Western hotels more often. I would be comfortable staying here as a family or on business. There a few mom and pop restaurants that are two minutes walking distance, lots of places within 5 minutes driving time. The Wi-Fi is also included. All in all a nice place to stay at a reasonable price, in a safe area. I would definitely recommend staying here.

I love this hotel because it's like a suite with a separate living room and bedroom. There's a tv in the living room and bedroom so if someone wants to watch a different channel they can. The only thing to know is to request a "quiet" room because the hotel is near a freeway and the freeway noise can be loud.

This hotel is okay but, as others have stated, it needs a general upgrade. Front desk was helpful. There was a very classy, different "sink" but there was no stopper to allow water to accumulate therein. I liked that there was good hot water, which is not always the case in hotels. TP was only one-ply, which was disappointing for a BW hotel. A good thing is that the hotel is away from busy streets and freeways.

But old building and old furniture. They do keep the property clean and it does offer good value...but it is not 4*. A solid 3*. Has an outdoor pool and Jacuzzi ...good parking...spacious room with old furniture but updated shower.

Great sized rooms--with suites even! Great breakfast, pool and hot tub. But the carpets desperately need to be replaced in the rooms. Make sure they've been replaced before you stay in a particular room.

The layout is interesting. I don't like that the hotel is outside and not inside and for a plus I assumed it would be enclosed. The rooms are beyond spacious! It's really decent with a refrigerator and mocrowave. There are vending and ice machines. Close to several restaurants that you can walk to. Complimentary breakfast is served.

This hotel is located at the side of a freeway, so it's easily accessible to public road. However, the hotel can hardly be seen from the road. The parking area is very wide, and access to the room can be done via several alternative. So the hotel offer a lot privacy. The room is quite big size, there are 2 big separate bed plus one living room with 2 LED television sets. I guess 4 people can stay in this room comfortably. The only note is the carpet on the floor, which I think make my foot dusty. The other problem that I have is the breakfast, as for my 6 days stay, the menu never change. There are no other choice available at surroundings during the breakfast time, the only one is McD drive through (only) which is located 2 blocks from hotel.

Very comfortable stay with good amenities and professional staff. The hotel is close to I-405 on/off exits, restaurants and fast food places. Shopping is nearby, the Mission Viejo mall. Ample parking and well lit at night.

Have stayed at a few Best Western Hotels in the past which were O.K., and decided to book with this hotel for a four night stay and was very disappointed with the quality of the room and the noise. Upon entering the room there was an old damp smell and which did not go away. The bed pillows had a strong odor and made for a bad nights sleep. My wife took bath towels and covered up the pillows but the smell was still there. In the room next door the talked on the back balcony until midnight and were smoking which we could smell. The straw that broke the camels back was while taking a shower the next morning the tub was filling up with water and would not drain. I called the Hampton Inn and space was available then checked out of this Best Western Hotel. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

We booked 2 queen beds and when we arrived they didn't have the room. But they gave us a room with king bed + broken pull out sofa. Very uncomfortable to sleep in. That was the only room they had. We couldn't leave it was very late a the kids were tired. I expect a lot more for what we paid and from Best Western. That's why we booked with them-- "for comfort"

Very good stay in a nice neighborhood with a dog. We stayed in a pet room. It is great that this brand accommodates dogs and let's you leave them in the room as long as they are in their carrier, so you can go out to dinner. A very clean place, the pool was sparkling, they have a small self-serve laundry facility and we heard no noise from the neighbors, next door. Also, the comfort of the beds were excellent! Parking is free. Non-smoking property. Very affordable. Location right near the I-5 Fwy and Lake Forest exit.

Had problems with AC and noise. Don't get a room over the parking garage entrance. Noise was solved by a room move, but AC was the same in both rooms. Location is a little odd, with some vacant buildings around the hotel. A GREAT Italian restaurant is within walking distance.

Although the appearance of the hotel was acceptable and would have been a delightful stay, the service my family received was unacceptable. The sheets had not been cleaned on one of our beds and the process to receive new sheets was unbelievable! Upon informing the front desk staff of the unclean sheets we were told that they were unwilling to bring new sheets to our room and that we would have to come down to the front desk in order to receive clean sheets. After walking down to the front desk, I was then told that they did not have any clean sheets and would have to go to housekeeping to locate sheets and covers for our room. A few moments later I received a phone call stating the front desk clerk was unable to get into the housekeeping room and was therefore unable to provide clean linens to us for the night. After going back and forth with the clerk about not receiving the accommodations I paid for I was given the option to sleep on towels. YES, TOWELS! Totally unacceptable and unbelievable. I then requested a different room and was told that no rooms were available and that I could sleep in a king room but would have to pay for it! After refusing to pay for an additional room and telling the clerk that I am not receiving the service or accommodations I paid for, she finally went to another room and removed the sheets and covers from another bed and brought them to our room for use (although, according to her there were no other queen rooms available). I don't know if we received clean sheets or someone else's dirty sheets, but the stay went from being pleasant and enjoyable to being a nightmare!

We liked the 2-room suite layout of all the rooms. 2 dbl beds and TV next room sofa bed and armchair and TV, fridge and microwave. Good hot breakfast. Good A/C. Little over $100/night plus exorbitant local tourist tax. Close to Disney land and beaches.

This was the third time we have stayed at this same hotel. The service is great, it is clean, and in a safe area, and is close to everything. We used the pool and had the breakfast, we total love this place. I arrived early to check in and our room was not yet ready the clerk took my phone and called me as soon as it was ready, great service. We also requested a late check out, and they gave us that as well. This is the third time we have chosen to stay at this same hotel and each time we have been very pleased.

We enjoyed the fresh sight seen, breakfast prepared out front. Liked the options. Hard boiled eggs would have been a nice touch and perhaps brown sugar for oatmeal. But other than that, it was quick, hot and met our needs, plus very clean and friendly staff. Room was spacious, clean. Bed mattresses and sofa bed mattress both need renewing to something less squishy and more support. Lots of space.

I didn't enjoy staying there at all. The hashbrowns were burnt everyday for breakfast. They need to have more than 1 waffle maker. The carpet and furniture in the hotel was dirty. The people at the front desk were nice but they need to clean the rooms better.

We stayed in a room with two queen bed and an additional sofa bed. The room itself was quite comfortable. But there are some quirks hence the low rating. One queen bed was so much against the wall that it was difficult to access it. The quality of the Soap and toilet paper was very very poor. It seemed like a 1?? motel. (Totally not suitable for the $170 price we paid). All rooms were on the 2nd or 3rd floor or 4th with a very slow elevator to access it. The stairs were also very strange. you climb from 1st to 2nd and the stairs from 2nd to 3rd floor are completely hidden without any signs. Breakfast was fairly decent. Most probably will not stay here again. Disappointed with the quality of this one.

Nice hotel, nice rooms. Balconies, large suites..and pretty quite. Front desk got us an early check in quick..VERY PLEASED with this place..I will definitely stay here again. Also plenty of shops and restaurants near by..I heard Sammy's Original was the restaurant to go to..looks packed..thus good food

This is a well-designed property. The rooms are really quite beautiful and spacious. The beds were supremely comfortable, and for breakfast, they had someone cooking everything fresh right there and serving it up. This could make the line a little slow, but it was worth it. We were there to visit the beaches, so this wasn't the closest property, but I would do it again.

I called ahead to request a ground floor room. They don't have any, but I wasn' told this!!! I have dogs, so this was a serious inonvenience. Especially since they put us on the third floor. One of my dogs was terrified of the elevator. Breakfast was crummy. A guy cooks bland, scrambled eggs...and fake bacon. I paid $188...what a rip -off!!! That's with a discount!!! Maybe they can get rid of the huge carpet stain...that was there upon arrival.

Showed up late due to length of travel. When we arrived our family was upgraded to a Suite with Loft (no extra charge) Great extra space and privacy for us and our older son. Breakfast was cooked to order buffet style plenty of items on the menu as well as fresh fruit.

Other than the fact that the AC wasn't working the 1st night and the room was 88 degrees AND that the 11 pm shift worker was extremely rude when I kindly and patiently asked if there was any other rooms available, The stay was fine. I was not upset when I talked to him, but he went defensive and rude immediately and that is what frustrated me. I realized there wasn't much anyone could do at 11 pm on a Friday night to fix and AC, but I did want some attempt at a solution of how we could get some sleep. Eventually he offered to bring up a fan "when I have time", but I pushed to wait for him as we were past wanting to get some sleep. Everyone else at the hotel was friendly and helpful. The hot breakfast (made in front of you by a chef), was a pleasant and wonderful surprise. I'm attempting to rate this fairly had the night shift worker not been SO rude and had I not had a choice but to finish out my 2 night stay. The sleep quality is put at poor as the room was simply TOO hot at 88 degrees to get much sleep.

Some of my shopping items were taken from the room and hotel staff reacted recklessly upon reporting the problem. The bathroom door was broken also. Managers and front desk staff extremely careless and they didn't help with the problem.

This Best Western Plus is a modern and well appointed place that's conveniently located near the 5 and 405 fwy's and pretty close to both the Irvine Spectrum and Irvine Meadows Ampitheater. Most rooms feature several nice features, most prominently a separate bedroom and "living area" great if someone wants to rest but others want to stay up. Another feature are in-room safes which I always appreciate when I travel. This hotel has an excellent breakfast with a large breakfast room and a cook on duty to make sure all your hot items are fresh. A great selection of cold items as well. We were super lucky to get a random upgrade and ended up in one of the multi room (suites). More of a loft that could have easily slept 5 or 6 total ( with a a sleeper sofa). Anyhow, it was quite nice. Not perfect, it's not the Ritz Carlton, but it's a heck of a lot more that you can expect for the price. The staff was excellent as well. From the front desk clerks to the breakfast room cook and attendant. Everyone was incredibly courteous and helpful.

We only stayed one night - the staff was great, hotel was clean and bed comfy. The breakfast was a hot cooked breakfast. I would recommend it. We received a AAA discount so the price was right. It was perfect overnight stay for where we were headed.

Booked a room at the last minute for 4th Juy weekend and had no problems. We were driving from Grand Canyon to Laguna Beach but laguna hotels were too pricie so we stayed at this one 20 minutes away with access to Walmart by Irvine and it worked out as far as location because we stocked up with items at Walmart and then headed to the beach. Staff was pleasant, we arrived late around 4 AM, I called to give them aheads up and had no problems, check in was a breeze. Suite rooms are roomy enough for about 5-6 ppl even have pocket doors for privacy (2 doube Queen beds on one side/1 sofa bed with desk TV and mini fridge on other side of pocket doors). Brekfast was good but lines were super long (7-10 AM) becuase cook prepares and serves food (hash potatoes, scramble eggs, sausage, bacon) at the same time. Milk on jars for cereal dispensers, waffle makers but you must wait your turn, yogurt, muffins, coffee, juice, oatmeal with toppings. You can eat inside the breakfast area or you can eat by the pool tables...did not use the pool. Elevators to second floor rooms (outdoors) Looks like motel outside BUT they did good remodeling in and out. No parking at the time we arrived, but front desk said it was safe to park in extended parking ....they had security guard in parking area. Modern decor. Would stay again overnight if trying to get to Laguna Beach in the future.

Stayed here for business with 4 of my associates, we all agreed, Friendly staff, nice clean rooms, comfortable beds, It was nice having a hot breakfast! I would definitely stay here again for business or pleasure!

Stayed here while participating in USBC CA Women's State Tournament at Lake Forest Lanes. Liked the warm welcome by staff, the covered parking, clean lobby, spacious room with pocket door to separate the sleeping area from the living area, and hot breakfast items freshly prepared and variety of cereals and beverages. Shower head was good quality. Microwave and small refrigerator were helpful. Was disappointed with the icy-cold swimming pool and very lukewarm spa water, as well as barely-absorbent, scratchy pool towels. Exercise room HVAC system remained at 78 degrees despite repeated attempts to lower temp so room would be comfortable while exercising. Additionally, no full-length mirror in room, so applying makeup was difficult. Horizontal mirror was mounted behind large t.v. monitor and above-counter sink, blocking close access to mirror. Coffee maker adequate; only for single servings. Used in-room meal delivery service. Food was good, but brochure incorrectly stated delivery charge, and meal came from Ameci without utensils or napkins. Called service to complain; was told to ask hotel front desk for some.

Large room with pocket door available to separate the sleeping area and bathroom from the living area. Very comfortable bed. No full-length or vanity mirror. Sink and television screen were situated in front of mirror, so was difficult to see to apply makeup. Pool water very icy; spa lukewarm. Scratchy pool towels; hardly absorbent. HVAC in exercise room did not adequately cool the room. Hot breakfast items were prepared on site. Cold cereals and bread products were available, also.

This hotel is one of the worst hotels you could possible stay at it stinks and all its furniture in the rooms are stained and dirty. Needs a complete gut out . Don't be fooled by the great price and breakfast it is truly a nightmare to stay at. Most of there guests are construction workers so if you have a family this is defiantly not the environment you would want them in.

I highly recommend this hotel. Clean spacious rooms. The staff is very helpful and pleasant. The breakfast has something for everyone and easily saves you $60 for a family of 4. they have cereal, yogurts, toast, muffins, waffle machine as well as a cook that prepares eggs, hash browns, bacon and sausage. This hotel is close to Irvine Spectrum for shopping and close to the Irvine Meadows Amphitheater so if your going to a concert this is the place to stay.

Needed a place to stay while working as an Election Inspector. Stayed here before to enjoy Sammy's Original without having to worry about a DUI. (they're REALLY strict in Lake Forest!) Stayed here for the Election and got to enjoy Sammy's as well. Good value. Good location.

Very unsatisfied as I was told upon check in that I would be staying in a smoking designated room. I do not smoke and have allergies from smoke. I do not know of any other hotels that have hotel rooms designated "smoking". I travel quite a bit for work and this was a first. Terrible nights sleep as I had to breath the smoky air all night and it got into my clothes, etc.

Comfortable, clean, spacious room with modest decor. The home-cooked breakfast is terrific. Secure location and surrounding neighborhood. Good access to multiple coastal areas, < 30 minutes. Staff is exceptionally helpful and nice.

Stayed here for an overnight visit. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was very spacious with the bedroom separate from the living room and it had a jacuzzi tub in the bedroom. There was also a coffee maker, small fridge and microwave. The bed was comfortable. The complimentary breakfast was better than most. As a solo female traveler I felt very safe staying here. My only negative comment is that there was the smell of stale cigarette smoke when the air conditioner turned on and this was a no smoking room. I don't know if it was because it was on the top floor and a "corner" room but a fellow traveler stayed here the same night in a different room and did not notice any stale cigarette smell. I did bring this to the attention of the front desk as I did not want to get charged for smoking in the room (I am not a smoker). I would stay here again and recommend it to family and friends with the proviso not to stay in room 410.

We stayed 2 nights at the end of our trip here. Convenient location to the John Wayne/ orange county airport. About a 12 minute drive in the early morning on a Saturday. Rooms have exterior entrances and look to be updated and are suites with seperate living areas. Full breakfast was free with our room and was served by an on-site chef. Our stay was good. We had 2 concerns with the property. The shower was very hot and shower temperature was temperamental. Took some patience to get it set right. Also the main elevator in the lobby was a bit scary to ride in and made noises and jerked at times. Outside of that the rest of our stay was fine.

I booked 10 room for my bowling group. As a hole everyone was very satisfied with the hotel except for the sink in the bedroom. The hot breakfast was very good. The location is quite good and with-in 15 minutes of the Orange County Airport. If I have a complaint, it would be the effort needed to book and confirm my group. It took several call to finally get a conformation.

Great people work here, friendly, helpful, courteous! Rooms are very comfortable and accommodating. The breakfast is always hot and ready. I am very satisfied with everything here, almost prefer this better than home. LOL You can't go wrong when you stay here. John and his staff are extremely helpful and accommodating anytime we need something. Thank you.

The lobby area is very nice. The breakfast is the best I've experienced in a Best Western. They have a very nice guy who makes scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage and hash browns fresh, plus cereal, juice, toast, muffins, waffles, etc. Pool area is small, but nice. Bed was comfortable. Parking is very tight-- almost touching the car next to yours. I guess that's normal for southern California. The room and hallways were older and worn, but they were clean. Overall, a good experience at this Best Western. I would stay here again-- and probably will.

Staff was great and helpful. Pool needs to be cleaned, carpeting in room needs cleaning. "balcony" had view of torn out parking lot next door. Beds hard and left us achy every day, after tossing and turning all night. Furniture in Living room outdated. Had trouble with Fridge freezing things and sink didn't drain for 2 days, they fixed things when requested. Housekeepers left notes in door at 8:00 if they came by and we had do not disturb on door, we had to ask that they come back when we left so they could clean room. They should do check-outs first, then rooms for people staying longer. We were looking forward to breakfast to save money during trip, but went only once because it was disappointing. Not set up as "buffet", but one guy is cooking and serving too, by the time you waited and got thru line and made toast or something, everything was cold. Coffee was awful. Hot tub jets don't all work, and too few to relax. On the plus side, it's a pretty good location and close to highways and the front desk staff was extremely helpful.

If you read my reviews you know I very rarely slam any hotel, but in the case of this place, the owners need to hear this loud and clear: this place is filled with tired, beat up, old rooms that are not being cleaned properly. I saw two different rooms and I couldn't spend more than a few minutes in each, they were that bad. The couches and other furnishings look like they'd been purchased during the Reagan administration, with stains and tears in the fabric that are ugly and embarrassing. I've been in far less expensive hotels that were better than this place. Sure, the rooms are very large (suites really) and the breakfast ample and the staff are nice, but nothing compensates for old, beat up, dented, stained, torn, ugly furniture and beds that sag and creak from overuse. Everything here feels really old, tired, beat up and worn out. I'd swear the filters in the AC units haven't been changed in years. Dear Owners - time to go get a major loan and renovate the whole place from top to bottom, either that or give up all of your business to the very nice Holiday Inn across the street. Seriously awful.

If you can see this much filth on a chair, imagine what you can't see. The vacuum lines on the disgusting chair is equivalent to putting lipstick on a pig. Pass. The room is musty. The cleanliness is sketchy as you can see by the furnishings. You enter rooms from the outside. Definitely motel and not hotel.

This place has a GREAT hot breakfast that includes sausage, eggs, hashbrowns, waffles and juice. it was a big hit with my kids. The staff was friendly and kind. The rooms could use a little updating, but overall it was a very good value. Beds are comfortable and the mirrors are huge with plenty of room for a family of 5. The sink is outside the bathroom (it really doesn't matter) and the couch is a pull out bed. It was so nice to have an additional little room with a couch and TV. That makes TWO televisions for one room. our kids loved it.

My self and family enjoying staying at this location. We get treated as if we were at home. The staff always go a bit further in making sure my family enjoys their stay. I always try to stay here when I'm in the lake forest area. The surroundings are calm and very nice. The pond right down the streets is a nice brisk walk.

The hotel was clean and rooms were large. Staff in general were helpful and kind. Michelle saved the day, great customer service. Hotel is conveniently located and property is kepted very clean. Would stay again.

I have stayed at Best Western in a number of states and this one is the best so far. Big and clean rooms, great breakfast for free and quite rooms. The only thing is the bathroom sink is in the bedroom and not the bathroom - a bit awkward.

Place was a little hard to find with car gps. Had to circle around twice. Called for extra towel. Waited a whole hour. No towels. Called again front desk asked if I ever got my towels, told her I wait an hour, said the person that was to had brought them already left and I'd had to go get them myself. Could of told me that so I didn't have to wait and wasted my time.

Older property with up to date room. Nice linens, free internet works well. Slow elevator. Nice pool. Convenient to shopping, restaurants. Around 15 minutes to John Wayne airport. HD flat screen TV with standard def analog reception.

You think you're staying in a nonsmoking room, but clearly the room has experienced smokers. The address is wrong! It takes you on a right turn from "boeing" drive when it actually is a left. The lack of windows makes you feel like you're in a motel as opposed to a hotel :(

Location was close to nearby attractions and shopping. a few exits away from the Irvine spectrum with movie theatre, dining, excellent shopping, etc. I def. recommend this hotel for the price and comfort. The beds were very comfy and pillows were like sleeping on air.

This was our second stay at this hotel. It is at a great location next to the Irvin Spectrum Mall and close fairly close to the UCI campus. It has been a great place for our family to stay and relax while visiting my daughter that goes to the University of California Irvine.

When we checked in, registration was quick and person very friendly. Room was very nice and we were able to bring our dog. Breakfast each morning was hot and tasty. Their cook has been there for over 20 years and friendly too. Will definitely be back

I have stayed 4 nights at this hotel in February and I was horrified: the carpet in my room was stained and my room had a horrible smell. The sofa and the whole furniture was in terrible condition. The linen were visibly not ironed - at least. The breakfast room also had all chairs stained and old, and the offer of food was very limited. Staff is unfriendly and not professional. This place is definitely not worth 110$/night. We were 5 people from my company and we are issuing a complaint with the agency so that nobody from our staff will stay again here.

We come to this area about once a month for business. We have tried several hotels but will now just book the best western. It's comfortable, clean, the staff is nice, has a pool, And a breakfast. The rooms have a sitting area And a bedroom area both areas have tvs. It is fairly renovated. The weird part is the sink is outside of the bathroom but that's okay. They also have fridges and microwaves. We tried the pool but it is not heated and unbearably cold. The hot tub is hot, hot. Too hot when the sun is shining but perfect at 9 pm. We booked this last minute president's day weekend and we were lucky to get a room. We got there a bit early and they let us check right in. The area is perfect for lots of restaurants. We drove next exit down and found a Walmart to get some snacks. All in all for our purposes of business we are happy with this hotel and will be returning.

We received excellent service on our brief stay with extended family after returning from a cruise to Mexico. The pool and spa were very much needed and appreciated. Very good area restaurants and a good hot meal included for breakfast.

My husband and I spent one night here, while attending to business in the area. The front desk staff was very friendly and worked hard to make sure that we were happy. They allowed us to check-in early. We had a room on the third floor at the end of the hall. We did hear noise above us, but it wasn't too bad. The room was very large, with a separate sitting area- nice to have, especially as we were working in the room. It looks like they've tried to keep the area updated with newish furniture, but it still feels old and a bit shabby. What would keep us from staying here again, is the sketchy people that always seemed to be hanging out in the lobby. I'm not sure if they were actually staying at the hotel, but they made us feel uncomfortable. It was the same with the car park. We were nervous to leave our car outside. The neighborhood itself isn't bad, but it does seem like this hotel might attract a rough crowd. It was cheap. We skipped the free breakfast to go somewhere local, so I can't comment on it. I was pleasantly surprised by the level of professionalism of all the staff. Every one was friendly, helpful, and provided 5-star service. The entire week was hassle-free, every detail was handled, and I felt welcomed. I will definitely stay here again the next time I am on town.

This hotel offers spacious suites with views of the central courtyard. We had a suite with a king bed and separate living room with pull-out sofa. There were 2 TVs so this would also be a good choice for families with children.

Very kind, professional and accommodating staff. Impressive! Clean environment. Passed on the so-so breakfast. Very close to 5 freeway so noisy outside, but room was reasonably quiet with the door shut.

Really large 2 queen room with outer room that had a sitting area, fridge and microwave. Seemed clean enough. Good room for the price. Breakfast was well stocked with the usual carb heavy fare. Ample parking. Had a balcony looking out to another office building.

Stayed here for 2 nights with 3 kids while visiting area attractions. The room is as others have posted nicely appointed but the bathroom sink is embedded in the bedroom dresser/console unit directly in front of the bed which is plain weird. Our room had a fully enclosed balcony that faced an office building (enclosed by a 6' cement wall) and no patio chairs. The patio door was unlocked when we checked in. Glad I checked it. Aside from that I was really impressed with the space in the room. Our room had a separate sitting area and pocket door to separate the sitting area from the bedroom and a tv in both rooms which was nice. Full hot breakfast on the weekend was nice but on Monday it was unappealing and made me sick. The hot tub was nice but the pool is unheated and too cold to use in the evening/at night. I was concerned about parking but was able to park my oversize vehicle (F350 Dually) with no problems. There were several restaurants within walking distance of the hotel and I felt safe in the neighborhood. Overall we had a nice stay for the price.

Except for an issue with sporadic phone ringing, very comfortable room, very good breakfast. Staff was pleasant, and ck in/ck out were painless. I would definitely return, and recommend it to our friends.

The BW Irvine is well situated just off the 1-5/I405 split near El Toro road, close to multiple restaurants and lots of shops. It has nice facilities, a good-value breakfast, and excellent wi-fi connections in the rooms. The pool is situated in the center of the hotel. This is a PLUS brand of Best Western and it meets all the standards. We had a corner room/suite, which was comfortable.

This place was wonderful. The room was huge with two TV's and two rooms. My only two gripes are that the bathroom did not have a fan so when someone showered you had to open the window or be suffocated by the moisture in the air and the sheets did not have corners, they were just flat sheets so by the middle of the night I was sleeping on the mattress *shudder*. The staff was friendly and helpful and the breakfast was fantastic. They actually had a cook serving you eggs, hash browns and sausage. The waffle mix was out and I had asked for more and so had another kid shortly after I had asked and it didn't get filled until about 20 minutes later, was glad I had moved on to something else. Close to a lot of attractions. Would stay here again.

This is the second time we've stayed at this Best Western. The great part is its close proximity to central Orange County and Interstates 5 and 405. It's "freeway close" as we say in SoCal. Despite the nearness of the freeway, even the rooms facing the freeway are well-insulated and quiet. The room is divided into a sitting area and a bedroom/bathroom, with a panel sliding door in between. The odd thing is that the bathroom sink is built into the bedroom dresser, while the shower and toilet are in a separate room. This means that when you're finished showering in the morning, you must turn on the light above the sink to shave, brush teeth, etc., thereby disturbing your partner, should they still be trying to sleep. It wouldn't have been that hard to simply extend the wall between the bathroom and bedroom to create a conventional bathroom, albeit a small one, but it's obviously too late to do a major remodel like that, so you just have to deal with it. The other thing we noticed on this second visit is that the refrigerator is placed inside a closed cabinet in the TV credenza. When we first opened the cabinet door to place the food we had brought for the stay, the exhaust from the compressor had made the exterior of the refrigerator warm to the touch and had also affected the coldness inside. So, for the duration of our stay, we left the cabinet door open, so that the refrigerator didn't overheat either outside or inside. Most hotels do not have a door enclosing the refrigerator, so this was another design flaw. Aside from those issues though, the hotel is fine and we'll be staying there again next week, due to its proximity to the eye surgery clinic where I'm having my other cataract removed.

We stayed here for 3 nights stayed in smoking room, we know they are usually not as nice but the coach in this room was nasty, we were actually afraid to sit on it. Everything else about the room was pretty nice, they jut need to get a new coach and chair the pics are of the stained gross couch, I would stay again but only if they get a new couch and chair

Overall a very good stay, The room is so big, had a bedroom and also had a living room. Both had tvs. Very clean. Bed is hard and firm. Breakfast was very good. Worth staying and will consider for staying again.

Pros- Clean room and property, nice breakfast with hot items but they do not change so they become boring after a few days, nice area, clean pool/Jacuzzi, free wifi worked pretty well. Cons- sink is inside room literally in same area as your bedroom television, parking is very tight spaces and limited so during peak times I'm sure you'd have trouble with parking although we did not, the staff is not very friendly but not rude they just do their job nothing more do not expect a smile or good morning, the balcony advertised is simple an area you can walk out onto that has 7 foot high concrete wall surrounding so it is somewhat private but has no view whatsoever so do expect to sit out here and have your morning coffee unless you'd like to feel like you're getting your hour of yard time in jail lmao also on that note I should say this place on the outside kind of looks like a jail/prison just painted and prettier in a way Lol. Overall I would stay again if it was simply for sleeping and I got a good rate again. It was clean, safe and had a decent free breakfast the rest really didn't matter a whole lot to me.

Room was spacious, a bed room and a living room, with a good size balcony. Everything was in working order and in good quality. All lights worked, central heating very efficient. Cleaning people do a good job upkeeping the room, and linens were all fresh and clean. If I rated based on the room and the cleaning staff, I would have given 9 out of 10. The problem is the front desk. They don't care. Plus, the access to the back side of the hotel is unhindered, at night, young people gather, walking around, could not tell which room they were going when I asked so that I could hit the corresponding floor button in the elevator. My suggestion is to stay the front side of the building for safety.

We stayed here because I was having LASIK surgery nearby. The room was cool and quiet. It had a separate living room with a sliding door which allowed me to sleep peacefully after surgery while my boyfriend could still watch television in the living room. We had breakfast both mornings we were there. It was delicious! Everyone was friendly and helpful. A really stressfree stay that helped with my recovery immensely. Also, close to fast food restaraunts which is a plus.

For under $100 we had a large two room suite with two large flatscreen TV. But the bedroom had a groovy bowl sink on top of the counter right next to the TV, which was blocking much of the mirror. The artwork was hung sideways and the hanging ceiling fixtures were strangely only inches from the ceiling. The king bed had full sized sheets and our window faced the elevator door. BUT it was a lot of space for the money and very convenient to the freeway and restaurants.

The location is convenient to the 5 freeway and offers a great central location to south OC. Because it is right next to the freeway, you will likely hear the freeway noise regardless of the room location. My room was on the side of the building farthest from the freeway, but I still heard the hum of the cars going by. The rooms must have been renovated recently - the furniture and design appeared modern. I was actually impressed by the style of the room for a Best Western. I really liked having a suite with a separate living area and 2 TVs. I found it odd that the bathroom sink was placed next to the TV in the bedroom. The only issue I had with my room was the level of noise - I could hear everything and anything happening in the adjacent rooms. The walls are so thin that I was actually able to follow the conversation happening in the room next to me, and was very clearly able to hear anyone walking by in the hallway or knocking on doors. I don't consider myself a light sleeper but found myself unable to fall asleep until my neighbors did, and I was woken up pretty early from the room on the opposite wall. I highly recommend earplugs. I didn't use the pool or jacuzzi but it looked nice and clean. It didn't get much sun at any point in the day, but if you're in OC you have ample access to beautiful beaches anyway. I did use the gym - it's small but was clean and did the job. There is one elliptical, one treadmill, one bike, a weight machine and tv. Breakfast is basic but solid. I liked having hot options besides the typical juice/coffee/danish/cereal you get elsewhere. Breakfast staff was very friendly and did a great job serving everyone quickly. Reception staff made checking in and out easy. They weren't overly friendly but I was totally fine with that - I was tired too! The patrons staying were mostly families and couples traveling for the Thanksgiving holiday. I'm not sure if that's typical outside of the holiday, but it was a pleasant surprise - there weren't any sketchy looking travelers that I've seen at other budget accommodations. There are a number of restaurants in the vicinity, a handful of which are walking distance - Panera, McDonalds, Buffalo Wild Wings and a local sandwich shop. Parking was free and conveniently located directly below the hotel. There were a few elevators in the building, one of which went directly down to the parking garage. My experience fell in line with the price point so my expectations were met; however, I will probably try another nearby hotel next time I am in the area.

The appearance of the hotel is old and not kept up. The hallways have paint worn off, the carpets in the room look very dirty, the sofas look dirty, we had to spread a sheet on it before we sat down, the toilets have seen better days. In our case they did not bother to make up our room one day. The breakfast was okay.

Lots of room for the whole family with separate living room and bedroom, 2 TV's, and a free breakfast is included. Friendly staff. Easy access to/from freeway, close to restaurants and shopping. Close to Disneyland and Knott's Berry Farm. Good value.

Stayed here while on Thanksgiving vacation. Traveled with our small dog, and this was the best value & closest to my parents house. It's an older place...so don't expect 5-star amenities. But, if you're traveling with a pet, it's a good hotel and good quality for the money. The WiFi was adequate, and the free breakfast each morning was great (very good). They had a pool & jacuzzi, but it was outdoors, and a cold front moved in, so we weren't able to use it. Will definitely stay there again.

Other than the not cleaning the room everything was fine. Breakfast was good. Location is good. We went to Disneyland and it was 20 min away and south coast plaza is close by. Restaurants are close by. Easy access to freeway.

spend three night at this location part of ten night stay at different BWs in southern California, by far this was a best location, there is nothing bad to say about this hotel, just want to thank staff for specially kitchen for treating us so good, this took us about 25 min drive to Disneyland

Clean place and nice folks. only did a one niter but would go back to this place again next time i am in the area. The breakfast was nicer than most other BW breakfast with real bacon and sausage as well as real eggs cooked up.

The room was like a suite. The desk clerk, EMMA went beyond to assist with a place for us to have supper. The breakfast the next morning was cooked as you waited, with excellent eggs, bacon, potatoes. Coffee, juices and milk available with a large dining area. We would highly recommend this Best Western Plus for your stay.

Nice business hotel. Internet was spotty, so tough to work. Breakfast opened when it wanted to open, and not at the posted 6:00 AM. Pool not heated, spa not working. Not what I usually get at a Best Western Plus.

We always stay at this hotel and are happy here. Staff is friendly and rooms and hotel clean. Breakfast is good but sometimes the food is served to you cold could use alittle improvement in that area otherwise great place for the price to stay

Breakfast was the same all week. No change. Internet was horrible. Could hear people above walking. Lobby cleaner and more presentable then the rooms. Stayed for 4 nights 5 days. Hotel was by itself. Pool was clean. Maid service was well. Elevator inspection was out of date by over a year. Expired 09/14.

This hotel is easy to get to, and welcoming when you walk in. Room was a basic room, but everything was clean and in working order. Breakfast was the best one I've had for a Southern Calif Hotel. Plenty of Parking.

It's hard to find an economical place to stay that's safe and not run-down in the LA/Orange County Area. You usually pay a lot or get something quite unpleasant. This place provides a reasonable compromise. The hotel exterior appearance is nice and the rooms are large. The AC works very well, and we know because it was unusually hot when we visited the area. The wi-fi speed was horrendously slow - in need of a major upgrade. The breakfast was complete and hearty. The man serving was either very shy or just not in a good mood. The couch in the room was in need of a steam cleaning.

The first day we were there, they had Fox News; every day after that it was gone - go figure. The internet was very bad and thus we probably wouldn't stay there again. The breakfast was great and the cook was fantastic!

The BW Plus in Lake Forest, CA was a great choice for our vacation stay. We spent most of our time visiting attractions around the LA area, so we were on the go constantly. Starting with an ample free breakfast first thing in the morning got each day off to a great start.

This hotel is not worth the money that you are spending! Room smells, other guests were partying right outside our room, making it very uncomfortable for us and hotel did nothing to stop them the very next night. Sofa bed in room was filthy, and we just felt unsafe in room. Right across the was is a Holiday Inn that was so much better for the price.

We stayed here labor day weekend with another couple to attend a concert. We were surprised about the room, a dbl queen SMOKING it also had a siiting/living room with a sliding door for pivacy. The hotel was clean around the property as well as the room having no issues. Microwave refrigerator, 2 flat screen tv's and a sml balcony. The only wierd thing which i had read was the sink being in the bedroom. Really not an issue just weird at first. The front desk staff wasn't very responsive to requests i called and asked for more of something and never recieved them. I also called to report a broken pipe in the watering system, which was wasting water in Calif. this is an issue, the response was that there was nothing they could do about it at that time, at 11p.m. I know there are manual overrides in automatic systems the front desk person didn't want to deal with it was my impression he couldn't be bothered. He said he logged it and that was that. Hope it was attended to. The buffet breakfast was cooked to order omlettes, waffles, bacon, sausage, and pasteries that weren't from a week ago! That was nice, being it was a holiday weekend there was a lineup out the door. But it was worth waiting. Overall it was a nice stay and if i need to stay down there again i would stay here.

very clean, friendly ,comfortable, breakfast was fresh & very good. We would have stayed longer if we could. location was ok.t was a little hard to find, from were we where coming from, the value was great for a family of 6, 4 kids 2 adults, and for being so close to Laguna beach it was great.

This hotel is all Suites and clean and great place for couples or family of 4. Rooms are all newly remodeled and clean. Pool is great. I found the internet is available but its slow. Its close to Irvine as well as Mission Viejo.....very easy beach access.
