"Acceptable hotel"
Winnie551, 02 Mai 2023

We were a little disappointed with this hotel when we arrived as there was not much else around. eg no convenience store or restaurants in walking distance that we could see. Despite a large carpark we had to pay to use it. Our room was on the ground floor so no sea view. We did investigate the stunning little beach the next day. The room was perfectly clean and adequate but it was showing signs of wear and tear. The breakfast was fine but certainly not as good as others we had on our trip. We did not eat at the restaurant as we had our own car and ended up microwaving convenience food. This hotel is fine for a night or two .

"Lovely hotel"
Irena T, 19 Avril 2023

Hotel is set in a pitoresque area ,rooms have amazing sea view from the room. Breakfast inclusion is a plus Staff is very friendliness and efficient with requirements. There is a free shuttle to the food&souvenir market. Good value for money.

"Working on the beach"
usare7, 19 Avril 2023

I had a working trip and found a great hotel room on the beach with restaurant and adult beverages which made my stay really nice. The beach was outstanding to walk along and lounge. The water is a blue and clean perfect to swim in.

"Excelent hotel"
patty447, 13 Juillet 2021

The hotel is very well located with excellent services and breakfast was very good and with a lot of options. The room was spacious and very clean, very good room for five people! We loved to stay at Best Western Okinawa Hotel.

"Disappointing service and facilities "
Mel C, 25 Juillet 2020

After checking into the hotel and checking my messages, I discovered I could only stay 2 out of 4 nights due to a family medical emergency. I had checked in and paid the full amount less than 15 minutes earlier, and when I went to the desk the manager initially said he would still need to charge all the nights. I insisted that was outrageous and horrible service, he settled on charging me 3 nights. The rooms are very dated and run down for the amount you pay. Since I do not want you to think I'm just disgruntled over the cancellation issue I've shared pictures of the peeling mirror, water damaged wall, mold and the rusted air conditioning unit. However, the tide pool that it has exclusive access to is beautiful and the garden between the hotel and beach is filled with butterflies. When the tide is out in the afternoon you can't really swim there but it's good to explore. The pool is very small for the size of the hotel. The restaurant looks recently renovated and has a wonderful view of the beach. For breakfast, there was a good diversity of Japanese and Western dishes. But be forewarned, there are not many restaurants nearby and only 1 within walking distance. Overall, was quite disappointed in the service and the value for the amount we paid, especially compared to other hotels on the island.

"Clean room and Tasty Buffet Breakfast & Dinner (Oct 2019)"
piggywigoink, 30 Mars 2020

This hotel is not too far to drive from Cape Manzamo. We chose this hotel as we wanted a clean and nice place to sleep over which is also near AeonMall Okinawa Rycom. We were most glad we made the right choice staying here. Check in 3pm Check out 11am Arriving after 6pm when the sun has set, check in was soon, the staff spoke good English which we were most thankful for. We were exhausted to hunt elsewhere for food and were happy to hear they are serving dinner buffet at their restaurant. The food was tasty and the spread was good. The breakfast, which we opted to include in our room rate, was also delicious and spread was appealing to our family with young children. We booked a Standard room with Sea view - non smoking room via booking.com. We were satisfied that there was no trace of smoke at all in our room. We have a older child so our room is for Triple sharing. The bathroom was spacious and clean. The hotel has a beach right behind it so one can walked to the beach with ease. There was an open air car park right in front of the hotel lobby when we arrived and had no issues parking or pushing our luggage to the lobby as there is a ramp to do so. Overall we would have liked to stay for more nights and will choose to stay in Best Western Okinawa Onna Beach again when we visit the next time.

"Best Western at Onna, Okinawa is Wonderful!"
Adventure579956, 28 Février 2020

We had a wonderful stay at the Best Western in Onna, Okinawa. The rooms were extremely clean and had a terrific view of the ocean. The restaurant had many options for breakfast and dinner, and all were quite tasty. The staff was wonderful! Quite friendly and very attentive. Will definitely go back for another stay!

"Best Western Okinawa Onna Beach"
Carol K, 26 Octobre 2019

Had a nice time here. Beach is nice. Plenty of parking. Breakfast at the hotel was good! Buffet style all you can eat, English and Asian versions. Plenty to chose from. Front desk staff is very helpful. They will help with restaurant recommendations, directions to anywhere on the island....very very helpful!! This place is great location if you want to snorkel or scuba dive. Family type hotel. Lots of Restaurants in the area. Bed was nice. A/c was good! Hotel had a pool, but hardly anyone used it. Everyone was at the beach. Beach area was huge.

"Okinawan sunshine hospitality "
victoriatravel86, 15 Juillet 2019

thank you for the Okinawan hospitality. Hotel was visibly located and the room was big. Beds were comfortable and we were allowed an early check in, after snorkelling. Only downside was we caught some bugs in the room, but it's next to nature where the ocean is. simple, classy and fuss free!

"Service at front desk was gd"
BoeyS, 26 Juin 2019

Hotel was small and overpriced. Good for those who do watersports. I loved the breakfast for the quality. Also, staff at the front desk was very helpful especially the gentleman who helped us call several hospitals for our sick child.

"Great place but..."
248aaronl, 18 Mai 2019

This location is great, a little difficult to find food other than the hotel and Joyful restaurant across the street. The view is wonderful, small private beach access. The guest book says there is a microwave on 2nd floor, but there is not. The pool is awesome, however the chlorine solution is to high, u got in to the pool with blue swim trunks and they came out purple, and I was extremely itchy. We called down for kitchen ware it took approximately 40 minutes for them to bring it to us. The overall experience was good for the family though.

"Nice and wonderful"
Wanderer59177075938, 22 Février 2019

We stayed for 3 nights, the reception is nice and very helpful, also very nice to my family and kids. If have time to Okinawa again, definitely will choose Best Western Okinawa Onna Beach again. Definitely recommend!

"Great to stay"
Sherryhuang, 20 Février 2019

員工友善,房間舒適。早餐提供多元化包括日式當地美食。房間面海可看得到一片海景,非常遼闊。期待下次再次蒞臨。 Friendly staff and room is clean. The seaside is very comfortable to walk around. The breakfast is good with variety of choice. Provide local Japanese food as well. We had a great time here and expect to come next time。

"At a reasonable and comfortable, hotel that can relaxing time."
kazunobuw, 16 Décembre 2018

Eraly December, 1 night, twin single use. By the circumstances of the next day, I stayed at Best Western Hotel in Onna village. The place is Onna village area close to Yomitan village. The parking lot is wide, the exterior is stylish and has a sense of expectation. I thought that it was a free parking lot, but I was charged 500 yen a 1 night. Check in at reception! The corresponding female staff was friendly and felt they could stay at ease. The my room is on the third floor, using an elevator. The room is large and the view is also good! The atmosphere of the room feels a bit era, but it is very comfortable. Bathroom is large, and there is a feeling of cleanliness. (Bathtub is large, too!) In the facility, there is a good size pool and restaurant building. A private beach spreads on the hotel sea side! The restaurant is reasonable, cost performance good for dinner and breakfast! There is a casual restaurant (Joyfull) near the hotel, it is convenient for family guests and business guests, but hotel restaurant is also recommended. ※ It is approximately 10 minutes by car to nearby convenience store Breakfast has many kinds, there is make up one by one. While looking at the sea, have a comfortable moment! I am non smoker, comfortable for non smoker, but due to the smoke-free in the whole building there is a smoking space in the outdoor area next to the front desk. others… There is a drink vending machine and an ice machine on the 2nd floor of the hotel. A good journey!

"Good View and wonderful staff"
Yi-Ching S, 07 Novembre 2018

Good View Room, nice staff and perfect amenities! Every room is sea view room, breakfast almost has everything we need. The hotel has parking lot, but need to pay, 5 mins to 青之洞窟, suggest to drive to this location!

"Great hotel with private beach"
Frank L, 16 Octobre 2018

Location is away from any nearby stores. There's a private beach access just behind the hotel. Room is big given Japanese standard. Booked for two nights with dinner buffet. Dinner buffet variety is limited however with good quality and atmosphere. Breakfast is better. One advantage is the guest laundry and dryer.

"Quiet beach front property"
LXLXLX, 24 Avril 2018

Good Private beach within walking distance Quiet neighborhood with ample parking (parking fee applicable) 24hrs Joyfull cafe located right across the hotel Buffet breakfast was simple but adequate Many nearby attractions within driving distance Not so good No free parking Pool was kinda small Lack of public transport

"The chained-brand hotel I will looking for. "
ShawtyKakii, 20 Février 2018

The Best Western Okinawa Onna Beach is bigger than other hotels i stayed in Japan. Having lot of space, you can turn a somersault in the room ??.  View from our balcony is beautiful. Easily access to the beach. Breakfast buffet is available in the hotel's restaurant; Seaside Ristorante Aletta, and included in the room rate. They offered discount on dinner buffet on the day we stayed; from 2,500 Yen to 2,000 Yen. Buffet is Japanese-Western style. My favourite is Rafute; stewed pork in soy sauce and also Shabu-Shabu which is the dish that can prepared by submerging a slice of pork in a pot of boiling broth. Then dipping pork in ponzu sauce. Staffs at the Aletta are friendly and helpful. Parking fee is 500 yen per night. There are a lot of restaurant nearby. I should have booked here for more than 1 night. I will looking for "best western" when i travel other areas, next time. It is worth my money.

"a mix of good and bad"
nonamect, 19 Février 2018

The good about this hotel: (1) The room is huge and immaculately clean, although a little spartan. There is a tv and electric pot to heat water with provided tea bags and ceramic mugs. The wireless internet connection is excellent (at least in our room). The bathroom is large with great amenities and a toilet with a seat warmer. The balcony overlooks the ocean and beach with a sliding glass door and siding screen door. We slept with the glass door open and the screen door closed (to keep insects out) and were able to hear the ocean waves breaking on the beach. (2) There was ample parking, although at a fee. (3) breakfast was a tasty mixture of both oriental and western foods with fresh fruit. (4) the location on the beach means that the hotel is somewhat isolated and you need a car to go buy food or go to a restaurant. I did see one bus stop in front of the hotel (I think bus number 48, as I recall) (5) the BAD about this hotel is the front desk staff. With the exception of one person (Ryo who was extremely helpful and tried very hard to communicate) there was a complete lack of helpfulness, to the point that we were given inaccurate information about restaurant opening times. The staff's English skills appear to be borderline at best, which made communication very difficult not only for us (with English as both a first and a second language) but for the numerous Chinese guests (it was the week of Chinese New Year) who were also trying to communicate in English. The staff seemed to be completely disinterested in their guests, almost as if they really did not want all these foreigners around (mostly Chinese, there were only 2 western couples there).

"Spacious clean room,excellent service"
KathChong, 07 Décembre 2017

Room was spacious, clean and comfortable, balcony overlooking to cleAn private beach in front. Able to have beach fun few steps away from room. Swimming pool was clean and beautiful, watching sunset in front of the pool was beautiful! Staff was all friendly, compliment to staff name Ryokan(sorry if I got the name spelt wrong!) Who was very patient assisting us to book cab chartering to itinerary and places we wanted to go the next day. Spent like 45min on e 1st night and another half an hour the.next.morning to call liaise and book with cab company for us despite the language barrier. Thanks and we had a great stay everything was fabulous and the hotel made our day much enjoyable for certain!

"An excellent place to stay in Okinawa"
Stephen_Ng2014, 08 Novembre 2017

The hotel rooms are clean and spacious. Each foilet is fitted with a "smart" flush system shere the temperature, the strength,of water flow and drection can be adjusted ir controlled. The hotel has a swimmlng pool and a reetaurabtt overlookiing the ocean,

"A cozy resort with a beautiful beach"
sewonhan, 09 Octobre 2017

It was pretty closed to the cape Maeda and Ruyku villiage. The large room was vey clean and it provided great view to the beach toward north west. Near the beach, kids could enjoy the snorkeling and see lots of small fishes. It was one of the best photo spot too. The breakfast was also nice, it was western style well mixed with some Okinawan foods. You could have limited access to convenient stores and restaurents, however the Joyfull restaurant just across the hotel would be a nice alternative for quick meals. The hotel prepared large paid parking lot, but it was quite easy to use. If you want to have a quiet rest with children, consider to have a stay here.

"Quiet place to stay :) "
Chuangdf, 01 Octobre 2017

Hotel is very clean and spacious. However, it is a distance from the main onna beach and the bigger beaches. Hotel has its own small private beach. Consider it if you are looking for a small quiet place

"????????"
?? ?, 29 Avril 2017

???????????????????????????????????????? ??????1F??????????(Softbank)????3G?Wifi????????????????????? Enough space of room, good breakfast and good shampoo. On the other hand, I couldn't use my iPhone with less connection may be because of stayed at 1st floor. To be worse wifi was slow connection. So I couldn't use internet in the room.

"Slice of paradise"
mylondonmatt, 07 Février 2017

Stayed two nights with family and can't wait to go back! Reception staff very helpful and accommodating. Beautiful sea views from the rooms! Breakfast buffet was fun and tasty. Rooms comfortable. Price was very good - we found a special offer online. Although we were a bit worried about feeling trapped with no hire car, it turned out fine. There's a decent restaurant across the road with extended opening hours, and small restaurants in a village ten minutes walk away (turn right out of hotel). Overall, delightful, peaceful, idyllic!

"nice to stay, if you want very quiet and peaceful place"
young92, 31 Janvier 2017

nice to stay, if you want very quiet and peaceful place. But, the sea was not that good. good to play with your child because sea wasn't so deep. I would not recommend eat breakfast here. The breakfast was so disappointed. And there was no convenience store near this hotel. So, you should bring your car.

"Good value for money"
SybilHongKong, 17 Octobre 2016

All rooms have beautiful seaview. Although decor of the room is dated, it's really spacious and comfortable with private balcony. Breakfast was never busy and offer a good spread of food. Staff were friendly. We enjoyed our stay here and would come back for a longer stay as didn't have time to enjoy the private beach during our two nights here. Honestly if there are so much to do in Onna and most of the time you will be out and about so it's not necessary to spend loads in a big resort.

"Take me back!"
jacquiscotia, 06 Octobre 2016

Booked three nights half board at this hotel for some relaxation after travelling to Tokyo, Osaka and Kyoto. Arrived at hotel after dark, reception staff were quick and efficient at check-in, took lift to our room on third floor (which is the highest level). Room was very nice with small fridge, coffee/tea amenity, we were glad to see three proper beds for our family (unlike the sofa bed for our stay at Rihga Tokyo), lovely bathroom. Dropped our luggage in room and went straight to dinner at the hotel restaurant where we were warmly welcomed. Western and Japanese options on offer and plenty of choice. Beds were super comfy, woke up to an orchestra of cicadas and the amazing view of the beach and surrounding greenery. Buffet breakfast had plenty of choice from fish, eggs, French toast, croissants, fruit, yoghurt, rice, noodles etc. juices, tea, coffee. We only had a three night stay yet sheets, towels and even the shower curtain were changed- that is excellent service! Unlike another reviewer, we didn't find the beach dirty, however it does have lots of washed up coral and shells so the sand isn't pristine like some other Okinawan beaches, the sea was clear and clean. Although there is a bus stop nearby I recommend a hire car to if staying in this area. Would definitely stay at BW Onna Beach again!

"As good as before."
Huang79, 19 Septembre 2016

This is the third time to stay in this hotel. They just changed the brand to Best Western from AJ Onna Biru Resort. The quality remains. Clean and big room, friendly staff, beautiful beach as before and the breakfast buffet is even better: more choices you have. Only one strange thing is they tried to charge me 500yen for parking. However, once they knew I was a repeated customer, they waived the fee. Overall, the experience was as good as before. I will definitely go back again.

"Surprisingly decent hotel"
joakgarp, 23 Août 2016

Usually we stay at one of the resorts around Okinawa but this time of the year all of the bigger resorts were up to three times as expensive as they would be off season (September and forward) so we decided to try Best Western Onna beach. At first I was sceptical but the hotel grew on me. The room was okay and big. We never used the beach but some of the other guests did. It looked a bit rocky and uncomfortable. Our main purpose was to drive around Okinawa with our rental to the other beaches and use the hotel as a base. So the hotel was perfect for us. Some cons: -Weak AC. -Plates weren't available some days when we were having breakfast so we had to point that out to the breakfast staff to bring more plates. -Could use more fruit but the variety was good enough. Both western and Japanese breakfast. -Paper thin walls. We could hear our neighbor take a shower at 10-11Pm. Some pros: -Hotel looked really nice with the light during the evening. -Very cheap compared to other hotels in the area. Tip: Best price through the hotels japanese site. -Happy staff. -All rooms have beach view.

"Helpful staffs ,nice privet beach and great options of breakfast buffet but better have your own car"
charmingru, 26 Juillet 2016

Since we don't drive, even if we do the opposite driving just not used to it. And the taxi in Japan is not that cheap. Therefore the best way is by bus. From the airport to this hotel, you can take a bus and get off at the Reanissance Hotel. It's about 50 mins ride. Then get a taxi to this hotel about 5 mins. ( Or you can walk about 20 mins) It's not a gigantic hotel as we thought from the pictures. But it's a perfect size for us, because we want a quiet relaxing vacation. Sometimes a big lobby can turn into a zoo. This small friendly lobby is great. The hotel itself has a buffet restaurant. But we want some local Japanese food. There is a restaurant right across the hotel called Joyfull, we had a dinner there the fist night when we just arrived. They have some yummy noodles but they don't have sushi. We found a Izakaya, Japanese-style bar, about 8 mins walk further down near the gas station. And saw a sign of German bakery, but too bad it closed when we got there around 7. The breakfast buffet was pretty good, I am a vegetarian and I still have some options . The best part was you can have breakfast and enjoy the beach view as the same time. We rent an umbrella and two chairs to our privet beach. We are the only one on the beach, felt like my own island. The water is clear and there have some many fish. I played with some little blue fish. However, the beach here is rough and rocky. Different than the soft white sand beach like Boracay I expected. So if you are expecting the same , you have to take a longer bus towards to north. It's really close to Ryukyu Mura. You need to buy the ticket to get in. But we had a great fun there. See some traditional Ryukyu Japanese style and shows. We also got invited to have a Ryukyu dance with all the performers. Also they have the one piece exhibition if you are a big fan of that. I love this hotel, and the staffs are really helpful, I would like to go back.

"Simple beachfront relaxation"
GT1974, 28 Septembre 2015

Stayed here with extended family over the silver week weekend. With the family, we occupied a total of 5 rooms that we're all next to each other and on the top floor of building. Very much appreciate their courtesy to keep us all together with family coming in from various areas of Japan and overseas. Rooms were excellent, simple western style with luxurious soft beds, big bathroom ( bath over shower) and table and chairs on the balcony for relaxing. There was also a sink basin, fridge and basic tea, coffee set. The hotel is right on a private beach, which when the tide is in, allows for snorkelling and swimming, but is not too deep, and can go out to the rocks that block off the bay and see the coral fish swimming around. Snorkelling gear is free at the hotel to use as you like, along with some other swimming stuff like beach rings, life jackets etc. When the tide is out it is possible to walk out 100 metres to the rocks and you can still see the small coral fish. There are also 2 hot tub spa baths outside to enjoy after coming off the beach. Hotel offers free wifi, just ask at reception and they will give you an adaptor to plug in in the room, along with password. The restaurant there is good, big variety of western and Japanese food for the breakfast buffet (included in room price), and then again a night time buffet, or a bbq outdoors (cook it yourself) buffet was on offer during the summer months. The hotel is not within town so not many options within walking distance, but there are a few little izakaya around that you can walk to or a joyful family restaurant across the road for a cheap meal. We went to a great little izakaya about 10 min walk going in the cape Zampa direction that had the best sashimi platter and huge fish gdish ( sorry can't remember the name - too much awamori drunk there) It's about 5-10 mins drive to Onna town area. Try going to Onna-no Eki, a great little market and restaurant area to casual lunch eating. Overall a great little place to get away to and there is so much to explore in the area, or just relax near the water for a few days.

"Ordinary hotel"
dimples1030, 12 Août 2015

We don't like the smell of the room the moment we step in. And it last the whole time we are checked-in! There's nothing special in this hotel. The breakfast and dinner buffet is a so-so. There's a beach in front of the hotel but i recommend to go to other beaches like kariyushi beach. They offer water sports there and you don't have to have a reservation.

"Enjoyable"
Nevberget, 07 Août 2015

Stayed there for four nights with three kids, and all were very happy. Mostly families with small children. Save for a Dutch couple we were the only foreigners there. Beach is nothing spectacular, but still enjoyable enough. Poor English knowledge among staff. Washing facilities.

"Unbelievable. Simply unbelievable..."
sashkello, 02 Juillet 2015

This is the best value for money I have ever got in my life. For a pretty much average price we got an absolutely stunning view from a balcony less than 50 meters from a beautiful beach, a spacious modern room and all the facilities we needed for our stay. It looks like they did a renovation recently as everything looks brand new without a scratch... Perfect sound isolation in the rooms as we didn't hear a thing from the outside, and conditioner was keeping room at nice temperature while it was hellishly hot and humid outside. All you need for a short stay is in your room plus laundry and vending machines in common area. Telescopes for hire, free? Sure! By the way, the complaints about Wi-Fi, which I read below seem to have been taken care of, as now they provide you with an adaptor which you stick directly into the Ethernet socket, and get a personalized wi-fi. (I guess it is signal amplifier of sorts... or router... anyway, there are no problems with wi-fi whatsoever) The all-you-can-eat breakfast was included in price and was absolutely great. Whether you prefer traditional continental or English breakfast, or would go for Japanese cuisine, all was available (fruit, yoghurt, eggs, toasts, crispy bacon, sausages, dumplings, miso soup, soba, and much more). Everything was of great quality, nothing to complain about! Went there for a dinner as well, same idea, but greater choice of more substantial meals, weren't disappointed either. Staff speaks English on reasonable level, which was enough for all our purposes... Overall, the only thing I regret is that our booking was only for three nights... We could have stayed there for a couple of weeks easily, exploring the amazing Okinawa or just relaxing on the beach... Maeda point is just a short drive from there, as well as the aquarium, and lots of other places of interest you could visit. Next time we'll do exactly that...

"Relaxing and Spacious"
ppppyyy, 18 Avril 2015

Excellent view with the room. They have their own beach of which every room is facing. The room is spacious and have two large beds. I, by myself pull the beds together. I wonder if they have rooms with one king size bad for couple. The decoration is a bit old fashion. Instead we found a cockroach upon we entering the room, the experience was pleasant. By the way, the breakfast is up to standard.
