Inn at Chocolate Ave, SureStay Collection Hotel by Best Western, Hummelstown

The AC in either room was not working properly. In the one room it was leaking on the floor. We checked in on Friday night. On Saturday when the floor was soaked we were told maintenance could not come until Sunday. No accommodations were given to us for another room. The internet did not work for us as we have apple products. This was not told to us when reserving the rooms.

This hotel is family friendly, clean with a Hershey theme! It is conveniently located to all things Hershey. The reasonably priced comfortable room includes a very nice breakfast bar, outdoor pool and hot tub! Special shout out to Malvin and Raff who made the check in/out experience easy and welcoming and to Susan who kept the breakfast bar fully stocked!! We'll be back

I stood at the Chocolate Inn with my husband and two kids and we really enjoyed our stay. As we walked in we were greeted by Rafft who kindly helped us carry our luggage to our room. The hallways always smelled amazing and most importantly were clean. To our surprise and especially our kids, there were two towel animals on the beds which my kids loved and made sure to thank Gino for. The staff is very friendly as every time we walked the hallways we were greeted with a pleasant smile and hello. Malvin at the front desk was very kind and attentive every time we walked in and out. I appreciate the options for breakfast (cereals/oatmeal/bagels/fruit/eggs/etc) as a family of four can crave different things. We enjoyed the pool which was always stocked with towels and clean at the seating areas. Thank you to Christian who was very nice and stopped what he was doing to get us extra towels when we asked. I have to applaud the Chocolate Inn for having such a wonderful and welcoming staff. I would definitely recommend! P.S They serve Lemonade and cookies at 3pm Everyday which was a big hit with our kids!

Stayed here for a couple of nights for the theme park. What a lovely little hotel. Friendly staff, comfy clean room. The hotel smelt lovely. Lovely little pool, good little breakfast. Was sad to leave

Short stay but clean efficient accommodations. Great overnight stay with quick late check in by ? Monday night and check out by Raff T Tuesday morning Comfortable bedding. Quiet sleep. Nice variety free breakfast before check out.

Super clean and amazing staff! My friends and I did an overnight stay after Hershey Park. Just under 10 minutes away. I'd definitely recommend and come back! They also have a very nice pool and a nice breakfast spread!

I would like to commend all the staff especially Mr. Malvin, he is very considerate and allowed us to do late checkout. Best pork sausages in the house and unli cofee. Will definitely recommend to my friends and coworkers.

The hotel was conveniently close to the park. The hotel was clean and the front desk staff was friendly all weekend. We checked in Thursday July 20th and Checked out Saturday July 22nd. We will definitely be staying there again.

Beds were clean and comfy, pool was ok, continental breakfast had a very good selection, and really good location if you're visiting Hershey Chocolate World and Hershey Park. Overall a very good stay as well as affordable.

Let me tell you this place is amazing soon you walk in the hotel smells like chocolate lol I thought it was dope but I want to thank malvin , jc, gina, rafft,and susah for a lovely stay they are amazing people if you stay here ask for them btw me and my family had a great time in this hotel I give it a 10/10 we stay for 5 days I recommend it

Staff were very friendly, both front desk and those in the “background.” Complimentary cookies and lemonade in the afternoons! Breakfast was ample - had everything we wanted. We enjoyed staying here - they aim to please.

Room was nice and they allowed pets. Staff was friendly and understanding. But carpets needs to be deep cleaned. It had a damp and dog urine odor. Close to attractions, restaurants and local stores. Overall I will give it a 8.

I am a very hard person to please but let me be the first one to say this hotel was exceptional both me and my family loved it the staff was very friendly the hotel is very clean and my room in the whole entire Hotel smelled like chocolate and it was very close to Hershey Park .

Breakfast was good, and the dining area was clean. The workers were all courteous. My kids loved the pool area. It's an easy drive to Hershey. Beds were fine. Smoked is across the street and is good. I would stay here again.

Based on the price, I didn't expect too much. I was very wrong. The place was great! Big comfy room and the place smelled like chocolate. Perfect for a family on a budget! I went in the winter so I cannot review the pool but if it is like the hotel, it should be fun to hang out in.

Room was very clean, bed was comfortable. Amenities were good. Microwave and fridge were nice to have. The hotel is a little dated, some of the furniture was a bit worn. Staff was friendly and good service. Breakfast was OK, decent selection of items but need to keep stuff fresher. Overall good for the price paid.

The hotel has a convenient location, between Harrisburg & Hershey. Great price, & free breakfast was very good. The room was adequate but biggest problem was no elevator & I couldn't find any vending machines. Check in & making reservation was fast & easy!

Not a full kitchen and no utensils plates or anything else. No elevator to the second floor. No dresser to unpack clothes. Sitting on the highway so very noisy traffic. No late checkout allowed. Breakfast was OK but was the same every day. Two bedroom suite was very large but lacks furniture. Only three chairs at the dining table. No dressers.

The rate was too high for this place. I was attending a conference, so I didn't have a lot of options… It has a motel feel to it! Housekeeping does not clean the room unless you make a request which I was not aware when I booked the room. The telephone was not working in the room, and the overall service was substandard.

Very clean and very comfortable. This inn has everything you need. It looks like they have a seasonal pool and jacuzzi. There is a fitness center. Breakfast from 7-10am consists of scrambled eggs, sausage, assorted juices and breads, yogurt and fruit. Good restaurants across the street. Excellent location!

the place had a peculiar smell. carpet was not clean and fresh . doors of the rooms old. need to be upgraded. bathroom very small. its alright for a one night stay. there are plenty of other hotels . the location is very good. staff excellent. breakfast was decent good. breakfast area clean.

This hotel is close to the Hershey Lodge and is very convenient. The rooms are clean, stylish and spacious. This is a prefect hotel for any family or conference gathering. The hotel is centrally located too.

The Inn at Chocolate in Hershey, PA was excellent. I had surgery on Oct.10, 2022 and we were there from Oct. 9 - 14. This is the second surgery I have had and both at this hotel. The manager was very accommodating to any of my needs. The housekeep, desk clerks, and cook for breakfast all saw to our needs and made us very comfortable. We will b back to stay on Oct. 23 for medical reasons. We plan to stay at this hotel each time we need to b at the Hershey Medical Center. We would highly recommend this hotel ÷÷÷÷÷

Very convenient and simple. Everything was as hoped for a low cost overnight stay. Nothing outstanding but nothing negative. Room had some battle scars (cabinet door to refrigerator didn't close the whole way for example), but nothing that effected our stay negatively. Would stay again

This hotel was great. Not only were we comfortable but so was our fur baby. They had treats for her right at the front door and greeted us as if we were all family. The room smelled amazing and in great shape. Their complimentary breakfast was surprisingly good and enough to go all around. Workers were very friendly and always made sure we were well taken care of. We will definitely stay here again on our next trip to Hershey. By the way Hershey park is less then 10 minutes away, an absolutely great perk.

Our check in was flawless. The gentleman was very nice and even gifted us bottled water and granola bars. The room was clean and quaint. When we explained we had pups they made sure to give us rooms to close to doors leading outside as the outside entry doors in the back were already filled. Will be booking here again and again for our expo. Thank you!

Would not stay at this hotel again. Odor/mold/mildew in room. Woke up with breathing issues. Surgery at Penn State /Hershey was aborted part way through due to low oxygen issues due to lung issues. Wife stayed at Hilton Garden Inn for the next couple of nights with no issues.

Wasn't sure what to expect but this place wasn't bad. It is older but it was comfortable. The only issues were the ac was loud and the remote didn't work. Breakfast was OK but we were told they had to cook everything in a microwave due to problem in the kitchen that morning.

Great location and you cannot beat the price. Hot breakfast of sausage and eggs included, plus the usual pastries, yogurt, fruit, oatmeal, toast, juice & coffee. Very clean, comfortable beds. Has a pool, too, but we did not use. I would stay here again

I've stayed here 3 times this year. It's a value priced hotel and close to hersheypark. My 4 basic needs were always met- clean, comfortable, safe, and quiet. However, free breakfast is of low quality. I understand the hotel needs to keep costs low, but I at least expect a great cup of coffee in the room and the lobby coffee is absolutely awful. It's just brown water. No flavor at all. Pool is nice but always freezing, and no smoking is not enforced. I also witnessed guests smoking by the fountain. Not sure I'll be staying again because each time it gets worse. I know they can do better!

Stay here for a family day hosted by our company and after a long day at Hershey, it was a welcome sight. Go to building is a little bit on the older side, our room was clean, and the beds were comfortable. Was especially impressed by the young gentleman who checked us in. Very friendly, professional, and personable. Though it seemed to be a sold out late for them, everyone that I was in contact with handled the crowd with what appeared to be with ease. Great coffee as well. We will stay again.

Horrible dirty pool with ducks unbearable smell. No table in the rooms. I was giving a dirty room. The lady at breakfast was extremely rude and nasty overall this place ruined our Hersheypark vacation would not recommend.

horrible duck swimming in the pool and first they give us a room that's not clean so they give us a clean room bathroom door can't close at breakfast the rude old lady yelled at my mom I don't know why and my mom hope that rude ol lady didn't make the eggs we all got sick from it the other day there was two duck swimming in the pool I mean come on! then when we came back from Hershey they give us no clean towel my mom said where never going to that ugly Place again oh and my brother can't even solve the tv !

Don't be scared away by some of the older reviews for this hotel. We are not easily impressed, but found this hotel to be totally fine and a great value. Front desk was always pleasant, lobby was clean, and room was sufficient with comfortable, quiet beds and clean linens. It wasn't totally spotless, carpet could use replacing and windows could use better cleaning, but the shower and toilet was clean, and the linens seemed new. Furniture also seemed new. At 1/4 of the price of some of the fancier hotels in the area, this is a great option if you are just looking for somewhere to sleep after a long day at the park. It's close to all attractions, supermarket, shopping, food, etc. The breakfast was totally acceptable with yogurt, oatmeal packets, cereal, muffins, bagels and breads, and scrambled eggs and sausage. Outdoor pool and hot tub could use a little TLC, but many families were enjoying regardless. (Please note that there is NO elevator. Upper floors were two short flights of 6 steps up.) Hotel was recently changed over to a Best Western Sure Stay location so make note of policy changes.

Shocked that Best Western claims this as one of their properties. Walked into the lobby and was being stared down by someone who looked like a serial killer. My wife and kids were horrified. We checked into the room and it immediately smelled like an ashtray. We turned around and walked out. Not that we're all fancy, but this is not somewhere I would ever recommend to anyone ever. The two guys at the front desk were really nice and totally understood. As we were there I overheard them refunding people nights on the phone. I think that we were not the first people this happened to. Best Western should rethink having their name on this property.
