Best Western Executive Inn

The room was clean, breakfast was ready in the morning and the staff was friendly. Although it looked as though many of the rooms were booked due to the parking lot being full, there was no noticeable noise at night, nor was there any excessive noise in the morning as folks left.

It was dirty and shabby and not at all good. We fled as soon as we could. Ugh. I cannot think of a worse hotel I've stayed at in my entire adult life. We even had to go to the dollar store to buy febreze to stay there. Awful smell, terribly dirty. 0/10. Definitely would not recommend. Ew.

The picture online looked great, but once you got there. Insects in the room from the gap under the door. Furniture Filthy. Horrible smell. The drain in the tub looked like worms on it, because the part to go over the drain broke. There is no way anyone has inspected that hotel since it was built.

The room and bathroom were clean and comfortable, and met our needs for the night. The front desk person was helpful in getting us a first floor room, and even offered an ADA room if needed, as one of us has difficulty walking. However the rooms and hotel could use some updating.

Check in was good and friendly,Room cleanliness was good,comfortable bed, BUT:no wifi [Connected no Internet]that worked is a serious pain when trying to arrange the next nights lodging! Breakfast was a sham and toilet stopped up in the morning.

Checked in at 10:30 pm got to our Room it was 23 degrees outside, heater was not on as usual , we turned it on to try to warm up temp outside dropped to 7 degrees, HEATER NEVER WARMED UP! No extra blankets all summer bedding on beds. told front desk when we checked out a few hours later, THEY DID NOT CARE ST ALL THAT WE WERE FREEZING

Have used this location for several years. one item stands out. General inspection of rooms should be done by the manager for such items as commodes secure to floor. faucets or showers not leaking. need to test each one and observe operation or look for leaks. Either train the housekeepers on these items. or have the manager check the rooms maybe every twos. Probably not all at once but maybe only a ew each day. Also check the seal under the door to keep out bugs. .

It is hard to rate hotels without taking into account the price. Considering the price, the hotel is okay, you get what you pay for. However, I normally stay at Hilton properties. Hampton Inn is the closest price point and there is no comparison, Hampton Inn wins by a large margin. The hotel was in a small town with few choices and Best Western was probably the best in town. It was clean, the bed was comfortable, water hot and staff was friendly. Television was horrible, picture was so dark you couldn't make out the images on the screen. The toilet was lose at the base and moved when sitting on it. Breakfast was okay but very limited selections. My review is somewhat negatively bias because the town of Hallettsvile is horrible, stay somewhere else. No place to eat and nothing to do. My fault, I should have done more research.

The hotel is very pleasant, cozy and very clean. Nice staff that greeted and took care of all our needs. Would definitely come again. Enjoyed our stay. My kids loved the very fast internet and open picnic area. Hopefully next time the weather allows us to use the swimming pool. Thank you.

I was given an occupied room at check in and walked in on the lady staying there. Desk clerk/owner/manager/whatever was indifferent. Shower was cold and never heated up beyond cool. No breakfast or coffee---I went to breakfast when it was supposed to start at 7, and the area was locked and dark. No one responded to the door buzzer, and no one answered the front desk phone.Went back at 7:40, and it was unlocked but no food and no coffee. Accommodations were wholly inadequate. I am a Best Western Gold Member and seriously doubt their standards of service. Will they let anyone slap the Best Wester logo on a building?

Every time we have stayed at the Best Western in Hallettsville it's been a good stay. The employees are always so gracious and friendly. I enjoy visiting with them. Accommodations are always good and the hotel is at a good location.

The amount I was quoted during my online reservation was not honored. I had to pay more. Even showed them my confirmation email and they still would not honor it. Very disappointed. Not doing that again!!

My family and I were traveling to San Antonio when we were caught in a horrendous storm. We were able to get a room at this hotel. From the moment we arrived, the staff was professional yet warm and kind. At breakfast we were greeted by two staff members. I observed the rooms being checked as they were being cleaned which indicated a sense of pride in caring for the property and a desire to provide a clean and safe stay for guests. At checkout I was greeted by a gentleman who was cleaning and polishing the lobby furniture. He offered to get the desk staff for me but I did not need help because the key drop was conveniently located. I was impressed by the staff from beginning to end of the stay. It's evident there is an attention to detail and to making guests feel appreciated. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

We stayed at the Best Western 3 nights while visiting family for Thanksgiving. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff at the front desk were very friendly and accommodating. Due to Covid, the hot breakfast was not offered, however, they did provide a grab and go breakfast that included fruit, water, and several types of pastries, as well as, OJ and apple juice. We will stay here again on our next visit to Halletsville.

All perfect, Staff was friendly and efficient.. The location was great right off 77. Breakfast one of the best with potatoes, eggs and sausage plus many of the usual options..Micro Fridge cold. Ice machine convenient.. Parking right outside our room..Coffee in room was good. We will stay here again.

I stayed for two nights and the place was awesome. Staff was very courteous and friendly. Rooms were clean and well kept. Plenty of parking and well lit parking lot. Quite place so got a great night sleep.

We were in town for a funeral and stayed at the Best Western.It was a nice comfortable stay. It had a nice TV with good service. It was very quiet with not many other guests. We did not take advantage of the breakfast. Would recommend for a comfortable stay.

Was in the area for the Shiner brewery run. Hotel was about a 15 minute drive to the brewery. Hotel room was large, clean, and had everything needed. Hotel staff was accommodating of the run and let us have an extra late checkout at no charge. Breakfast was continental, but still nice to have. Overall it was nicer than I expected for this level of hotel, room was comparable to many 3-4 star hotels I have stayed at. If I am ever in the area, I would stay again.

Carpets are horrible and need to be replaced. Lighting is so dim, it is depressing. Linens need replacing. The rooms are just overall very old and need updating. We traveled as a family and had two different rooms. Both were horrible.

The staff does a very good job at keeping the hotel extremely clean inside and out. The outdoor grilling are is very nice and comfortable with large grills and has a covered area with picnic tables to relax on

Hard to define, but not quite up to our Best Western expectations - not quite as clean and up-to-date as usual. Nice enough staff, good enough breakfast. It was fine for our overnight stay while on the road.

Nice place and very affordable. All staff members encountered were very nice and welcoming. Quiet, clean pool. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. We will definitely stay here again if in the area!

We always try to stay at this motel when we are in the area. The staff is always so courteous and accommodating. We have never had a bad experience. The beds are comfortable and we especially appreciate the large thick bath towels.

It's in a nice quiet location. Easy to get off and on the highway. Breakfast was excellent. Rooms were very clean. Bed was extremely comfortable. If you ever in this area and need a good night's rest this your place.

My husband and I had a wonderful experience at this hotel. The not only let us check in a bit early but also accommodated for my gluten free diet. The staff was so friendly and answered any and all questions.

Small town motel with friendly staff, fresh looking rooms that needs to work on the details. Check in was great. Sharyl was kind and full of information. We arrived to our room to find the air conditioning OFF. It's 90 degrees in Texas, our room (208) faced west and you had the AC off? We turned the AC on and though cool by the unit, the rest of room was miserable. We decided to leave and run a few errands expecting the AC to have done it's job. We returned to the same stuffing room. Sharyl jumped to action and turned on the AC's to several rooms and let us pick which one we wanted to move to. Our new room (215) was fine except that it also faced west, had a huge gap under part of the door, and took forever to cool. The breakfast area is small and the 'hot' option was sausage biscuits and eggs. Despite 10 people waiting to eat breakfast, the breakfast lady brought out 3 sausage biscuits and a few portions of scrambled eggs. Finally, the room had several dead bugs in it and there were cob webs and wasps all over the outside of the building. The complementary shampoo and soap are very good. This not the best Best Western we've stayed in by far but it's what you might expect from a small town motel. They need a few more Sharyls working for them, improve every day check lists and they'll be top notch. Finally, turn AC on the MORNING your guests arrive.

Arrived in Texas heat; hotter in room than outside. Took 12 hours for room to cool. Breakfast included cold eggs & biscuits. Coffee was nasty! Corner room with inadequate outdoor lights. Noisy bathroom exhaust fan wired in with light. Light in dressing/sink area shown directly on bed. Parking ill-arranged leaving tired weary guests to carry heavy luggage across the parking lot & up stairs.

We enjoyed the pool; we had it all to ourselves for two nights, it was already lovely and warm. Besides that the rooms were clean and the others guests were quiet so overall the stay was satisfactory. I couldn't find a vending machine so be sure to bring snacks, but there is a soda machine.

I've stayed here 2 years in a row, while in town for a nearby family reunion. Friendly & helpful staff. Clean non-smoking rooms. They accomadated my requests. Nice breakfast. Gotta love those Texas-shaped waffles!

We stay at this motel whenever we are in the area. The staff is always courteous and a pleasure to speak with. We always have a pleasant stay and have never gotten a bad room. We like the location because it's next to the KC hall which is where we usually attend the events.

Our room was clean, and nice. The only thing that we were not pleased with was the layout of the sink area and lights. We had three people staying in the same room. When the light was turned on in the bathroom area there is a lout fan that wakes up anyone trying to sleep. The sink area is open to the beds and turning on the lights there disturbs anyone needing to sleep as well. The beds were very comfortable.

One of cleanest rooms we have ever stayed in. Employees at desk were friendly and nice. Breakfast had good variety and was tasty. Eating area was very clean. Some road noise but that can't be avoided.

Everything was immaculate. Room was quiet and comfortable. Used the AARP rate for a bit of a discount. Good value, and the breakfast was very good. Good coffee too. Convenient to a very good Mexican Restaurant , Los Cabos.

The owner and staff makes you feel very welcome, and they really appreciate your business. Very clean hotel, very enjoyable stay. Really enjoyed the pool area, and the outdoor picnic area with barbecue pits!

The Owner of the Hotel and front desk clerk was awesome! The room was clean, the bed was very comfortable, and the pool felt great! The breakfast wasn't so great, but that was the only down vote for us!

For comfort, convience, cleaniness and a wonderful staff, the place is it! Have stayed here exclusively for the past 7 years when in the area for business or pleasure. Can't find a better place anywhere close. We will drive farther just to stay here because the experience is always consistent with our expectations. Great people, great place! Near restaurants, breakfast is good and the breakfast area is always clean and well stocked! Can recommend without reservations!

I have stayed here before and overall it's still a good place, however a couple of gripes. One, in the shower, I do not like the soap dispenser for the shower soap and shampoo. Not handy if you want to take a bath. Two, needs to be more insulation to keep the noise out. I sleep heavy but most people don't so you might wanna bring earplugs just in case. Bed is very comfortable though. I would stay here again.

The service was very friendly and helpful and the hotel and the room were fine but the problem was, there was no internet service at all. Cell service in the room was very spotty. Depending on where I was standing in the room, I might be lucky to get 1 bar on my phone but in most of the room, my phone showed no service at all. When I asked the front desk for help, she stated that their internet 'went out alot'. So if you need to do business from your hotel room, I do not recommend this hotel at all. If you are just looking for a placing to rest your head, this hotel is fine.

This is a very nice place to stay and accommodated our request to be on the first floor. They have a good selections of TV stations and comfortable beds. The room is clean and linen is always fresh and clean. We have stayed here many times before and plan to continue staying there when we are in Hallettsville.

The front desk was helpful and friendly. Rooms were clean and the bed was comfortable. The decor could use an update, but overall great hotel for the area. I stayed on a Saturday night, and was surprised there was no outside noise.

This hotel was clean and comfortable. We arrived very tired from a long drive and were greeted by Chandra at the front desk. He couldn't have been more accommodating. We enjoyed a good breakfast in the morning and continued on our way well rested. We will definitely stop here again!

I don't get to stay here often. Nicest staff, very clean motel. I wish they could all be like this motel. Great value, clean and well ran. A little drive to get something to eat though. I travel a lot for work and this motel is like a breath of fresh air.

Hotel is located on a busy street, but I slept well and didn't hear any road noise. Parking was a bit difficult close to the room, but was able to park a short walk away. The hotel staff were all very kind and helpful. The breakfast was good and the room was clean.

Brought a live roach to manager and he blew it off didn't even offer a discount to us or anything to make it right we will think twice about staying at another a Best Western again managers attitude really unpleasant.

This is a nice hotel. I would have given it a 5 but the wifi kept fading out and became really annoying. The beds are comfy and the shower has nice water pressure. Fully cooked breakfast with possibly the nicest waffle (in the shape of Texas, of course) that I ever had. The staff is friendly. It is in a beautiful area of the country and a perfect place to stay between San Antonio and Galveston.

We stopped in Hallettsville, TX for a nights rest before heading to our next stop and we were impressed how nice and clean the hotel was and how friendly the staff was. It's nice to go to a hotel and feel welcomed.

Nice hotel in a great location next to a very good Mexican restaurant. The staff of the hotel were very accommodating and treated the family well. We did not encounter any issues during our stay in Halletsville.

The lobby smelled a little too strong of deoderizer and/or incense. Staff was very friendly and polite. The room was very clean and the decor tastefully maintained. I took care of the noise problem, it wasn't the fault of the hotel. You're in south Texas, redneckville. What else can you expect?!

The staff is friendly and do all they can to make sure you are comfortable. When in the area, this is the only place we stay!

Good value hotel. Pet-friendly with small fee. Hospitable staff, comfortable beds, clean and ample-sized rooms, good free breakfast (biscuits, waffles, cereal, etc). Recommended for anyone traveling through or staying in the area.

I hate to rate this hotel as average because the people at the front desk were so nice and friendly. But, even though the bed was comfy, the room was average. The breakfast was average, even though the nifty waffle iron was in the shape of Texas. Bottled water and a newspaper was offered in the lobby for a price. After just having stayed at another hotel that week that offered us dinner and free beer or wine with it (for the same rate as this hotel), it seemed that the water and newspaper should be a courtesy.

Clean but rooms could use a little updating. Pool area was clean and warm for a night swim. Decor was dark and could use some white paint in rooms. Carpets could be replaced. Greeted by owners and the breakfast was nice. Out coffee maker was broke and replaced promptly.

We have always had a pleasant experience at this hotel. That's why we keep coming back. The staff is helpful and courteous. The rooms are always clean and the bed is comfortable. The towels are wonderful!! They are nice and thick and absorbent--not paper thin like some hotels.

Very nice and well kept property in a small town. Looks like a family run hotel, but well kept and nicer than I actually expected. Everything I needed was there. The hot breakfast was just OK, but considering the occupancy of the hotel, there was more than I expected to be offered.

The motel is older but well maintained and most important it is clean. I will warn you breakfast area is very small. Plan to make a plate and perhaps go to your room. They don't seem to have a problem with that. Good value for the money. Little trouble with those little pillows; prefer to take mine but forgot.

Room on first floor. Parking lot had lots of trucks, a bit noisy at times. When we went for breakfast, many items were already used up and not replenished. Probably would look for another hotel if we were in the area again.

hotel was a little dated, couldn't eat breakfast because they were burning incense and was making us sick. Small parking lot, didn't want to lose our spot so we walked to restaurant. A/C was noisy and blew on the bed all night. would stay again if had to.

goodness! it's a pleasure to check into a room that smells so good and is super clean! even though we were on the first floor, it was quiet. the pillows were fluffed to perfection and the towels were super absorbent and thick. check in was pleasant too. breakfast in the morning was sufficiently filling with plenty of options from waffles to yogurt. coffee was excellent! I am extremely pleased to have found this hotel through trip advisor! highly highly recommend it

Very very quite, bed was very comfortable and the room was well stocked and very clean. Enjoyed the pool, it was very clean and refreshing. I wish I could have stayed longer to enjoy more. Thanks very much Jody

We called late for the reservation and needed it for quite a few days, on the first floor, had one non-ambulatory with us. were gonna check in very late at night. very ill Mama in hospital. worked with us so well. so thoughtful.

Booked this place last minute and boy was I happy! Was in a small town, not much to do but I just needed a place to crash. Lobby was super clean, staff...was a father/son team...was super friendly. My room was large, CLEAN, smelled nice, just great. What I was expecting and what I got was beyond my expectation. Would stay here over and over agin.

I was very pleasantly surprised and pleased at this hotel in Halletsville! It is an excellent value for all that is offered. The room was very clean, the beds were very comfortable, the rooms fairly spacious and the breakfast was nice with Texas shaped waffles, little sausage biscuits, and eggs, along with the other typical continental breakfast items. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this place and I will return.

I spent one night at this hotel. It is very clean with nice sized rooms. I was in a double queen room. The room had a microwave, and fridge and the usual amenities including a coffee pot. The beds were comfortable. The free breakfast was ok, the best items being mini sausage biscuits. The eggs were not so good, but there is a waffle maker and the usual cold breakfast items. This is a perfectly fine hotel for a short trip or overnight. The staff is friendly and helpful. Check in and out was quick. There is a decent Mexican restaurant a short distance away. I will stay here again if I am in the area. Note that highway 77 takes a jog to the west if you are entering the town from the north, then turns south/southwest where the hotel is located.. Watch the signs.

I enjoyed my stay at the Best Western in Halletsville, TX. The staff was very caring and extremely customer service oriented. It felt as if you are not a guest but rather a family. I am going there again in few weeks and will be staying there only.

It only has one down fall, They dont offer smoking rooms, although the clerk got me on the first floor so I could step outside, This is a comfortable and clean place, the wifi is fast and steady. I would recommend this motel to anyone needing a place to stay.

This place is ok if you need a place to stay in the area on business. It was convenient for me to stay due to its proximity to my job site. However, the hotel could use some minor updating to improve the feeling of being at a cheaper chain. My experience was not bad, but it was not at the usual level of Best Western chain hotels.

Stayed here on the way to Splashway, I got there late Friday night but my room was ready. My room had a king size bed, with tv,which had a great selection of channels, small fridge, microwave, clock radio, bed was very soft,and I slept great. Stayed only one night,and I would stay here again. Breakfast in the lobby was ok,nice selection of food.

I am a senior citizen and was quoted a much lower rate when reservation made, I am also a Diamond with Best Western, than I got at check in. The ice machine was broken and no one was ever at front desk when I went in, had to ring door chime!!!!!
