« Friendly Place with lots of perks. »

We stayed two nights at the Best Western Plus, Nov. 22 & 23, 2016. Morgan and Tucker BBQed some chicken for supper for their guests (Free of Charge) and topped it off with Peach Cobbler, also cooked over the BBQ. We enjoyed visiting with guests from all over the States (we are Canadian) while we waited for the BBQing to be done we were warmed by an outdoor fire pit. They also provide free breakfast with a nice variety of food to choose from. Kristina did a great job of keeping everything in the breakfast room, clean, tidy and even asked if we would like her to cook us more eggs. Also has a waffle iron. The rooms were very nice and clean and this is a very updated hotel right on the main thoroughfare so it is easy to find. Aaron was very approachable and friendly, as were the rest of the staff we met, including the main desk people. In the summer they grow their own vegetables in raised beds and have a lot of patio space for relaxing outside. Their dining room is very large, too.

    « Nice and cozy »

Great hotel with awesome staff. I had a 4:00am departure and the night staff prepared a breakfast bag for me. Couldn't ask for better service! Location is convenient in Cedar City with amazing mountain views!

« Our "Go-to" place in Cedar City »

Whenever we're driving from SoCal to WY [an annual trip], we always stay at the Best Western Plus Cedar City. The accommodations are comfy and the hotel staff are extraordinary. The nightly bbq by the fire ring makes for a memorable stay. The brats, home-made chili and 2 kinds of spaghetti squash (sweet or savory) were just what we needed after a long 10 hour drive. Tucker, the bbq chef was charming and so were the other guests who we met that evening. You can't find a better hotel--definitely value-for-your-money!

    « A Nice Updated Place »

They just updated this location and separated it from the hotel across the street, making it, its own entity. It is a very nice location. The staff is friendly. It is centrally located. The rooms are very nice. The room I had, had a door to the outside and also to the inside hall, which was nice. In general, this is a great choice to stay in Cedar City.

    « A night in Cedar City »

Cedar City is a small town with a long history for the region. The Best Western Plus is a newish motel on Main Street with easy access and parking. The staff seemed very concerned that we have a good stay and were helpful in giving us a choice of rooms and locations. Kristine who ran the early morning breakfast buffet was bright and pleasant when we arrived in the morning and came around to see how we were doing. The breakfast area is part of the lobby with lots of windows and daylight. Nice not to be in a back room.

    « A Hidden Gem! »

Great little Hotel right in the heart of Cedar City. After a long drive, it was great to step out and take some time to walk the lovely downtown area. The Hotel itself is so friendly and the Owners have made this special! Beautiful back yard fire pit area with patio, seating, landscaping and even raised garden plots carefully maintained by the gardener. Backyard BBQ offered nightly with hot dogs, s'mores (with every imaginable type of chocolate and wafers) and refreshments. Rooms meanwhile were as expected with the PLUS - comfortable and well appointed. Breakfast offered a wide variety of items and the ladies working were wonderful. thank you Elsy!

    « Excellent stay »

Stayed here overnight on a recent road trip we did in America. The king size room was excellent, very spacious and comfortable and it was very clean. All the staff were friendly and helpful, included breakfast was good and a bonus we didn't expect was the barbecue at night around the fire pit, the food and company was great. After a particularly long day's drive to reach Cedar City it was fantastic not to have to worry about heading out again to find somewhere to eat and to be able to relax and chill out a bit. Highly recommend Best Western Plus Cedar City.

    « Awesome Place »

I stayed here for about 6 weeks for work. I stayed in several different King rooms, and all of them were clean, updated, and comfortable. Something that really sets this place apart is the the back patio. They have a garden, giant fire pit, and a nightly BBQ. I don't know any other place that offers breakfast and dinner. It's a great atmosphere! Also, I left some belongings, and when I called, the staff was very helpful in getting my belongings back to me. I've seen a lot of negative reviews from other hotels about losing items for good, when hotel staff was unhelpful.

« nice staff, clean, new rooms »

We got in early as usual, but the allowed us to use the exercise equipment, and hang out in the lobby. The work out room was as nice equipment as I ave seen in a chain motel, new equipment and nice room. They have cook outs for the guests outside in the evenings. Although we didn't eat there, when we came back from dinner, we saw several people at the outdoor fire pit eating Knockwusrt and pizza. They also had a great breakfast, that was included in the room charge. Nice staff.

    « What a value! »

On our way to the National Parks of southern Utah, we spent a night at this Best Western. Clean, spacious room, comfortable and extremely friendly staff. Wonderful and unexpected bar-b-que complimentary: grilled chicken, brats, homemade soup. Outstanding! Can't be the value. Breakfast fine, nice workout room. Don't pass up this gem. We'll return...

    « Excellent hotel »

I stayed at this hotel for one night on my way home from California. The room was in excellent condition. The free continental breakfast was much better than expected. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful. They also had a free outdoor barbecue going on with amores. I would definitely plan on staying here again.

    « Cedar Cities best »

Kirsten at.the reception desk and Aaron at the barbecue are definitely "keepers". They know how to make you feel at home. The dinner time barbecue was a real treat and the breakfast was fantastic. A newly renovated, extra clean property lives up to the "PLUS" in this Best Western PLUS. All of the staff we encountered were very pleasant and helpful.

    « Outstanding! »

We've stayed at this property several times--before, during and after the remodel. The remodel is absolutely amazing! It's like a mini-resort. The rooms are spacious and the beds are comfortable. But there's so much more--the peaceful outdoor seating area. I lounged out there and read in the morning--so quiet and beautiful. There's also the vegetable garden which is CRAZY! They're growing everything. And you'll taste some of it in the homemade salsa every morning. And the fire pit experience at night is not to be missed. We roasted marshmallows and made s'mores after attending the Utah Shakespeare Festival. The concierge has all the marshmallow roasting bases covered so you can make any type of s'more your heart desires. They also throw BBQs earlier in the night. The breakfast every morning was delicious--lots of hot and cold variety (delicious salsa!). And you can work it off in the new fitness room which has nice equipment. We played horseshoes and would've played croquet if we'd had more time. Such a fun place and now our favorite in Cedar City (we've stayed at many of the properties here). Treat yourself to a great meal at The Depot which is on the property. It is fine dining and everything we had was incredible. Try the arancini--so good! Enjoy--but please leave room for my family. We love this place!

    « Comfortable and clean »

I stayed here one night with my family, while traveling for work. We arrived late in the evening. The agent working the front desk was friendly, but could not offer me as good of a rate as I could find online. So I booked online, at the front desk. This seemed odd to me, as I know they have to pay the third-party a commission. But whatever, I got the room for a fair price. We got a king room that was clean and very comfortable. It was very spacious. The hotel has undergone a renovation, and everything seemed fresh. The bathrooms had not been updated, but were still clean, and very bright, which I appreciated. The bed was comfortable. It was nice to have a refrigerator and microwave in the room. The pool and hot tub were out of commission, but we didn't have time to use them anyways. The ice machine nearest our room was out of order as well, but we didn't need it. No loss. Breakfast the next morning was really good. Waffles, breakfast burritos, eggs, sausage, cereal, pastries. Enough that anyone would be happy. I hear they have a great cook out, but we arrived too late to enjoy it. And very comfortable and clean room. I would recommend it to anyone traveling through. All of the staff I encountered was very helpful and friendly.

    « We had a good stay »

This is a new, nice and clean hotel. We had a one night relaxing stay. The check-in staff was courteous. The breakfast was not different than the ones served in other Best Westerns (without plus) but OK for a free breakfast. We didn't try but they also offered complimentary barbecue in the evening and this was surely a PLUS.

« Great place to stay! »

Very friendly staff and the rooms were clean and comfortable with all of the amenities. The front desk attendants were nice. We especially enjoyed the evening "fire pit" gathering. Aaron and Tucker were really helpful. Aaron suggested that we might enjoy seeing Cedar Breaks which we found very fascinating. Breakfasts were great with a wide variety of food. Overall, if we in the area again, we would definitely stay at the Best Western Plus.

    « Good value »

We spent one night here on our way to Capitol Reef. We drove from the LAS Vegas Airport and it took about 2.5 hrs. Our room was on the first floor facing the main. We did here some street noise but nothing too significant. The room was very clean, spacious and the bed was very comfortable. That evening they were hosting a cookout and camp fire in the courtyard. We did check it out and visited with the staff who were very friendly but wanted a more complete meal following a long day of travel. The Depot Grill next door was just what we needed-nice variety with great salads and pasta. In the morning the complimentary breakfast was perfect with a good selection of hot and cold items. Our travel plans were to go to Capitol Reef via Cedar Monument then to Bryce. The towns are fairly small on our route so we went to the local Walmart (a short distance away from the BW) to pick up a cooler, water, snacks, beer etc. We highly recommend this property for a short stay.

    « Destiny »

Our great service started when Blake at the front desk answered the phone and helped us with our accommodations for the night. Once we arrived. Blake invited us too the complimentary cookout being hosted outside at the fire pit. Arron and Brittany graciously greeted us and introduced themselves putting us at ease and made us feel welcome. They introduced us to other guests and as it turned out a guest knew one of our family members from Minnissota. Small world!! GB Jack and Kathy B. Everything was neat and clean. We would recommend this location. Thank you for our comfortable stay.

    « BW Plus/CC »

Very nice and clean. This hotel offers things to do for the guests, which is very rare. Close to town, restaurants, and other amenities. Comfortable room, even with the ADA room being the last available - still very comfortable.

    « Feels like home »

Kristina, Angeles and Tania made me feel very welcome. The breakfast was attended to better than most sit down resturants. They also offered a complimentary cookout around their very handsome outdoor firepit.

« The best hotel ever »

My wife, three boys and I have had the best hotel stay ever. They treated us like family and spoiled us with so many things to do, that we didn't want to leave. The staff was top notch. Food was excellent. Thank to Elsy, Arlene, Angeles, and Tania who went out of their way to help my crazy boys get breakfast. I can't compare my stay to anywhere I have ever been before. And I travel a lot. I can't say enough good about it, so you will just have to experience it for yourselves!

    « Pleasant Surprises! »

Friends had booked this hotel for us to serve as a two night home base while we visited Zion and Bryce Canyon National Parks. We knew nothing about the place but had many pleasant surprises. Everyone was friendly and exceptionally helpful. We had planned to enjoy a barbecue around the fire-pit on our last evening but a rare rain had fallen and everything was soaked. Aaron Montgomery stepped in and covered the wet benches with towels so we could enjoy the beautiful patio and free brats and cheeseburgers along with his informative conversation. We finished the evening with delicious s-mores created with a variety of crackers and chocolates. The breakfasts were also surprisingly good and Kristina, Angeles and Tania made sure that we had everything we wanted. Everything was very clean, well painted and well caulked.

    « Wonderful!! »

This was an extremely awesome, friendly, clean hotel. Very accommodating! The breakfast was outstanding! Free bbcue at night! It was wonderful!! The entire staff was professional. We loved Aaron at night with the bbcue. Good Salmon! Good chicken!

    « A Lovely Property »

We found ourselves needing a couple nights stay before heading back to Las Vegas to fly home after two wonderful weeks exploring the Utah Nat'l Parks. We saw that Cedar City was home to the Utah Shakespeare Festival and the Southern Utah University campus so figured plenty to keep us busy for a day. Seeing a BW Plus was in Cedar City I made a reservation online before we departed home. This property is so well maintained it looks to be new. Steven at the front deck helped get us checked in and gave us helpful information about things to do.Our room was again spacious, clean and well appointed. The first night we were awakened in the middle of the night by some high pitched unrelenting noise unconnected with the hotel itself. Daniel, the manager, was making rounds during the breakfast time and asked about our stay and any needs. We mentioned the noise and Daniel went into action and had us moved into another room on the opposite side of the property hoping it would be quiet. This was above and beyond. We had a very peaceful night. The property offers a generous and well presented breakfast. There is a work out room and in season appears to be a lovely large pool and hot tub. Both nights we were there they offered a light fare BBQ in the back courtyard. There is a large fire pit and room for people to sit and relax (weather permitting) and co-mingle if they so choose. Of particular interest to me was the large vegetable garden in handsome above ground planters. The vegetables had signs talking about the growing and nutrition and in some cases cooking instructions. The gardener explained the garden was just for the guests to enjoy and if they wanted to pluck a tomato or zucchini they were invited to do so. Nice touch. Also bicycles and helmets are available to use. There is a nice bike trail not too far away called the Coal Creek Trail and a lovely park.

    « more than expected! »

I chose this hotel for its middle of the road price thinking I could stay two nights and deal with it. Was I wrong!! Check in staff was very friendly and quick, also signing me up for automatic express check out. Room was clean and everything worked great including the comfortable bed and pillows. The outdoor garden area/ fire pit was great not to mention the free dinner they were barbecuing EVERY NIGHT. I actually picked a jalapeño from the garden and the cook grilled it with cheese to go along with the bratwurst. The atmosphere and the other guests were great and friendly and the RV parking in the back is a great idea. I will definately stay here on my next visit.

« We really enjoyed the garden area and the care and concern of the staff for the comfort of our stay. »

Kristen, Angeles, and Tania were very helpful, polite, and caring. This model of Best Western Plus is an excellent example of leaders in hotels. The room was clean the the bed was comfortable. We will stay here again when traveling through Cedar City.

    « Excellent Motel & Breakfast »

The motel is convenient to Interstate 15, reservation service was excellent, breakfast was especially good (food served hot, good choices and clean eating area), good motel layout with easy access to parking, front desk, stairs, elevator & awesome patio area with garden.

    « Amazing Location »

This is an amazing place. A "must stay" location. New and immaculate but beyond that a pleasure to experience. Usually a hotel is just a bed to sleep in that you hope is clean and safe. This Best Western Plus is so much more. 1) The grounds are immaculate and beautiful, more like a garden than a hotel grounds. The rooms were top notch and the beds and linens exceptional. 2) There is a master gardener along with a gorgeous garden that provided fresh fruits and vegetables and inspired thoughts about our backyard. 3) A BBQ that everyone was welcomed to enjoy where folks could eat and chat. 4) Incredibly helpful and courteous staff I felt somewhat guilty for paying such a low price for such an experience. Definitely 5 stars. I hope other BW Plus are as wonderful as this one.

    « Gold standard »

This hotel really sets a high standard in terms of quality. Our stay was one night. Situated perfectly for those exploring the national parks including Grand Canyon. Our room was immaculate. Fridge, microwave, TV & coffee maker & really good WiFi were standard. A comprehensive free breakfast was included, which was high quality. All staff were very welcoming Inxeed . Particular mention must be made to Chanel, Fabiola & Angeles who worked hard to ensure our stay was exellent. Choose this hotel with confidence.

    « Pre Retreat Retreat »

Excellent. From the moment I came to Best Western Plus to the moment I left for my retreat, I was treated with kindness, respect, courtesy and support. Thank you to everyone who helped make my time there most memorable. Aaron made hamburgers, brats, & pizza; made everyone welcome & engaging at the patio and made a van tour to Parowan most informative. Tucker & friends delightfully showed us the beauty of Cedar City on a bicycle tour.

    « nice hotel »

Stayed a single night. Very nice, the room was almost brand new, no signs of wear. There is a balcony the is shared by many rooms (a rather unique design). The breakfast was quite good - my only complaint - there were no boiled eggs.

« Best Place to stay in Ceader City, Utah »

Beautiful courtyard with a BBQ, Delicious breakfast, spacious rooms, and friendly people. This was our first stay in a Best Western because we always felt it was too expensive. This was an accidental stay and now we are hooked. This will always be our first choice.

    « Comfortable Bed »

Stopped here on our way home from Yellowstone and were so glad to get a good night's sleep on their comfortable bed. We arrived too late for barbecue but were able to enjoy the complimentary breakfast in the morning. Eggs, toast, cereal, sweet rolls, fresh fruit, waffles, biscuits and gravy, bacon, sausage patties.....pretty much everything you'd want for breakfast was offered. The pico de gallo was especially impressive with big chunks of fresh avocado mixed in. The location is good, walking distance from several good restaurants and shops.

« They go the extra mile to make you happy »

Loved the stay in this hotel. They go beyond expectations with extras such as bonfires every night with dinner and s'mores with multiple kinds of chocolates, grahams and marshmallows (who knew there were caramel marshmallows?) Breakfast is hot and good. This is a great location from which to see the area sites and parks.

    « We Wouldn't Stay Anywhere Else »

We love the atmosphere of the Best Western Plus Hotels. They are always clean, well kept, maids are great. Also, the food wais better than most Hotels that have breakfast. We also had a great barbecue with Aaron out back with a beautiful fire pit. We needed a baggage cart and couldn't see one, so I called down to the front desk and asked if they had them. Jacob, the desk clerk told me where they could be found and offered to bring one to our room and asked if we would like him to help us bring in our luggage. We didn't need help, but it was so nice for him to offer. We had a great time'

« It was nice but not great »

The room was nice. Free breakfast was nice. Location was nice. The Best Western Plus was nice but had the potential to be great but they seem happy to be just nice. Example: Breakfast was nice. The food was good. They had a couple of people monitoring the food but no one cared if there were clean tables. The room could have been great. It had an additional room with desk but not much thought about decorating the room. We did tell the front desk about noise in the morning. They used the noisy guest excuse but it was very early morning and was staff getting ready for the day. More attention to detail and a little extra effort could go a long way.

« Great hotel with amazing and attentive staff »

Stayed here one night coming from Bryce Canyon and Cedar Breaks National Momument and heading towards Las Vegas the next day! From the moment we checked in, which was two hours early, Steven actually walked over to the room to check if the room was clean and available. What was a suprise was the wonderful complimentary BBQ that night. We had chicken, brats, cheeseburgers and pizza. To top it off, ingredients to make s'mores were provided with gourmet chocolates, marshmallows and Carmel marshmallows as well as assorted flavors of graham crackers. Also, a garden growing vegetables was available to us for grilling. It's amazing how Brian does the BBQ every night. Another gentleman showed me what kind of vegetables grew. Breakfast was fantastic.

    « Hotel With a Cook-out! »

Our stay was for only 1 night but every thing was very nice. They had a free cook-out with chicken and hot dogs at dinner time! It was the only hotel on our 14 day trip that had a cook-out. It was nice.

« If you want a fun place to stay in Cedar City, this is it! »

We stayed three nights at this hotel and we found it to be one of the nicest experiences we have ever had. The staff was great. The room was clean and comfortable. What really tickled us was the evening activity hosted by the hotel. This hotel does something I have never seen before. They have their own garden plot and use it to serve fresh vegetables and fruit to their guests in the evenings along with grilled brats and pizza followed up with S'mores! We were on a tight budget so it was great to basically have supper as well as breakfast provided by the hotel. If you want a fun place to stay in Cedar City, this is it!

    « Enjoyable hotel »

We enjoyed the offered activities (bbq, pool, garden). Room was comfortable and appeared to be newly appointed. We have stayed at the BW across the street and didn't find it to be as good. The breakfast was ample and varied. Elsy and Arlene did great preparation and kept it well stocked.

    « Great hotel!! »

We stayed here for four nights while visiting the National Parks in the area. What a great hotel! They not only had free breakfast but also a free BBQ and S'mores every night! It was so fun socializing with all the other guests and Aaron at the BBQ. Both guests and Aaron (who did the BBQing) gave suggestions of other things we could see in the area and were so spot on. We loved Lake Panquitch, the Parowan Gap and Kolob canyon which were all things we heard about around the fire pit. Couldn't have been happier with our experience at this hotel and very much recommend it.

    « Average »

My usual place that I stay was booked so I saw the reviews and thought why not. Not as nice as the reviews say. bed was to soft, found hairs in the bathroom, and it is a little far from the freeway for people just passing through town. Price was a bit high so I won't stay here again sorry but the reviews are a bit misleading. just saying.

« delightful stay near Zion »

Delightful update of an older standard motel. The room was terrific, with high end bedding/linens, clean, recently remodeled bathroom. The garden outside and the grill was terrific. Breakfast was fantastic! Would definitely stay here again.

    « Excellent stay »

We stayed one nite at this hotel. The room and bed were comfortable and clean. There was a barbeque for supper provided by the staff as well as somemores and an outdoor movie. There was a garden directly in the back of hotel. We were allowed to pick whatever we wanted to eat. Staff went out of their way to be helpful and advise us on sites to visit. I would definitely stay there again.

    « Great surprise! »

After spending the day in Bryce Canyon N.P. We drove to the Cedar City B.W. plus What a great surprise.. Upon check in we were greeted by the Registration desk and explained the hotel events.. BBQ on the patio included... Breakfast included. Great attitude included. Rooms were nicely appointed clean and comfortable. Patio included.. Bottom line, we will be back next time we're in the area.. Thanks BW for the great night stay. ??

    « Great customer focus from a family-owned business »

We only stayed one night but this would definitely be a place we would return if we are in the area again. The property has been recently remodeled and is like new; the beds and room were really nice. The family has owned the property for three generations. There is a fire pit and garden in the back as well as a giant chess board, pool, and horseshoe pit. They offered a free barbecue dinner and s'mores and the "chef" was a great resource for local site seeing options.

« This hotel was beautiful.. »

This hotel was beautiful. Very clean. The front office staff were very accommodating. Professional. They allowed me to have a very late check out due to the Cedar City half marathon. The hotel had a fun outdoor activity. S'mores!!

    « Absolutely Fabulous »

This hotel has a fantastic customer-friendly atmosphere! The staff is very friendly and helpful. They have a brand new fire pit in the courtyard with a BBQ every night around the fire. We were only passing through and grabbed this hotel on a whim, but now we can't wait for our next trip to plan on a return to this hotel!

« Good Place to Stay »

BW Plus Cedar City was a great place to stay. Friendly staff. Comfortable and quiet. We stayed on Labor Day Weekend and it was a little spendy. Even as a BW member it didn't make a difference in the cost

    « Great 3 night stay »

We had planned for two nights but our travels got us there a day early, so we called from I-15 and they got us squared away. Very spacious suite, comfortable bed, good wifi. Our only issue was some plumbing noise, we think it came from upstairs, but it wasn't to bad. The breakfast was very good with fresh made salsa, actually one of the best hotel breakfasts we've had. Front desk staff were very friendly and efficient.

« Amazing And Over The Top »

This is "no ordinary" Best Western and the word Plus should be followed by several extra "pluses". The owners and employees have bonded together to make your stay an extremely memorable one from the free backyard BBQ to the free fruits & vegetable gardens they invite you to pick from. They have nightly movies in the garden patio topped off with s'mores. I want to make a special mention of our hosts Erin, Tucker & Arland who could not do enough to make us feel like we were enjoying an evening with great friends.

« Glamping RV Oasis near Zion NP »

Found this hidden gem on my Good Sam app. I called and was greeted professionally by a young man who said he had plenty of spots for our 36' Motor Coach, he took my name and said come on in and take my pick. Well, I told my husband it might be a wild goose chase but we had a spot in Cedar City. The KOA was booked solid due to a customer appreciation event so I was happy to have a spot. The app also listed a website and weirdly it was the Best Western Plus Hotel chain. That, too, made me nervous. But we kept moving toward Cedar City from Salt Lake City. When we arrived we were anxious because we ended up at the front door of the Cedar City Best Western Plus. The registration staff greeted us well and had our name listed and repeated the directions I had received earlier - go around to the back, pick my spot and come to the office with my number. We did and found a beautiful oasis just behind a beautiful hotel. As a guest we received almost all the benefits of being in the actual hotel. Access to the pool, Internet, breakfast, nightly cookouts by the fire pit, and even s'mores. What a special treat to be able to chat with folks from far and near. Thoroughly enjoyable. We will be back and will tell all our RV buddies about this special place.

    « Delightful »

what a treat this best western was. Level of service and attention to detail was outstanding. Particularly liked the pizza at thxe bbq in the evening and the well stocked breakfast buffet. From check in to checkout, everything was wonderful

    « great property »

great place to stay!! Quality service great interior & exterior! We were really surprised at the cleanly ness of the whole area. great breakfast selections for all your wants. Prices were great ! Beds were great best sleep we had this trip !!!

« Good place for an overnighter »

Everything met my expectations - I will very likely stay again when traveling through this area. Breakfast was pretty good, bed was comfortable and coffee isn't/wasn't bad. I was pulling an open trailer and found plenty of availbe parking; this was very helpful. There was a social hour with food when I arrived; I kinda wish I hadn't have eaten already.

    « Lovely Room »

We had a lovely & quiet ADA Room/ suite with a balcony and double queens. Well lit Bath which had a huge ADA shower with hand held & stationary shower heads that accommodates wheelchairs. Very spacious, welcoming & clean. We had a small refrigerator & freezer & microwave for our use.... Even had mints & a cute little welcoming surprise. Highly recommend this Best Western..will stay here again. I felt the price was affordable especially with the amenities. ;)

« Good hotel with a fabulous garden and other perks »

Nice hotel that has a huge garden for guests to pick veggies and herbs! I make green smoothies every day, even on the road, and I was able to pick fresh mint and basil each morning! There is a large gas fire pit next to the garden which is lovely... And you get to make s'mores each night!!! The rooms are spacious, clean, and beds are comfy. One reason I did not give it 5 stars is because of the bed height. This normally would not be an issue, but I was traveling with my grandmother and she had a real problem getting in the bed. We stayed here 3 nights so it became really exhausting for her. Dining area is spacious and exercise room was very nice - a small gym, not just a room with a treadmill and weight machine. The other reason I did not give 5 stars is because all the exterior doors to the main building do not lock. Anyone can walk in since they do not require a key to enter. I found this to be a little unsettling. Overall, our stay was great. All the staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. We went to Zion twice and the drive wasn't bad. Also drove to Bryce the day we checked out and it wasn't too far either, so this is a well positioned location.

« Another great stay in Cedar City at Best Western. »

Such a wonderful place to stay. Rooms are very clean, comfortable and quiet. The staff is friendly and helpful. We would not stay at any other motel in Cedar City. In the evenings there was a free barbecue, s'mores at the fire pit etc.

    « A great find »

This hotel was a great find and a surprise. If we are ever in Cedar City again, we would definitely stay at this hotel and we feel very comfortable recommending it. Very large and well maintained property, many amenities, clean, large rooms, centrally located.

« Made us feel right at home »

Recently while traveling out west, we stayed in motels every night for 3 weeks. The Cedar City Best Western Plus stood out among all the rest because of the front desk staff. They made sure we felt very welcome, answered every tourist question we had about the area, seemed genuinely interested in our travel plans, and even helped us make reservations for the Utah Shakespeare Theater. In addition, there is the most amazing vegetable garden behind the hotel - quite unexpected. They encouraged us to pick whatever vegetables we wanted and even provided a grill to cook them on if we didn't want to go out for dinner.

« Great place to catch your breath »

Due to a booking that didn't work out we booked into this hotel for two nights to break up our long trip. As soon as we got to our room we relaxed. Time to unpack! Lovely lay out of rooms in and outside. Small but very adequate breakfast and great involvement by management in planning next bit of trip. Thanks guys.

« Rubber Baby Buggy Bumpers »

I don't normally stay at Best Westerns. Because they are independently owned and managed, they can be hit or miss. This one is a hit. Judging from its central location in town, it's probably an older building, but is solidly built and looks to be recently renovated. The rooms are very clean, the bed quite comfortable and the grounds are well maintained and attractive. There are a few remnants from days gone by, like low, round-bowl toilets and what appear to be the original bathtubs. But, the rest of the room and bath have new paint, tile, carpet, etc. All in all, very acceptable. I didn't see any mold, stray hairs, bugs or any of the typical hotel yuck-inducers. There was only one small thing overlooked during the renovation that would make this hotel even better. Bumpers. Yep, bumpers. Every door has rubber bumpers in the frame that deadens the sound of the doors closing. Because of the age of this hotel, those little bumpers have become hard and disintegrated. So, there is some door noise. That's the only thing that detracted from my stay. I would like to suggest to the management that they trot on over to Home Depot, their favorite hotel supply company, or an internet hardware supplier and buy a giant bag of those suckers. Give the maintenance guy or girl the bag and have them pop those petrified bumpers out of the door jams and replace them with the new ones. That would pretty much put an end to the noise problem and make the hotel even better. Cheap and quick. Now, on to other things? Breakfast was pretty good, although there was a shortage of hash browns one morning. The evening barbecue and fire pit was unique and delightful. I've never seen anything quite like it. The fellow tending the grill was very accommodating, practically begging me to eat the free food. So, I did! Very, very nice. Now go get those bumpers!

« On the way home »

Very nice place to stay.We enjoyed the outside fire pit that evening & the grill with the brats & pizza. Everyone was very friendly. Great location. Will come back again to stay there & go to Zion National Park.

« Very nice hotel I would visit again »

Nice room it was clean and spacious much nicer than I thought it would be, bed was comfy, the toilet paper holder kept falling off the wall, but no complaints. Breakfast wasn't the best I have had but ok. I would stay again if I am in the Cedar City area.

« Nice Hotel near Shakespeare Festival »

I stayed at this hotel while going to the Shakespeare Festival to see a play. It is centrally located in downtown Cedar City. I got a good night's sleep and my room was very quiet. The free breakfast was very good, too.

    « FANTASTIC!! »

I cannot say enough good about this place, We made a reservation for 1 night due to the location and the price, we will stay here again because of the EXCELLENT SERVICE. The guys at the desk were very friendly and made sure all of our questions were answered and then proceeded to tell us about all the amenities they offer. Free BBQ from 6:30-10:30, smores at 8:30, guided hikes and bike tours, bike rentals (not sure of the cost), free breakfast, garden tours, life-size chess, swimming and a very nice workout room. We could not eat breakfast since we had a half marathon and we had to be there before it started so they offered us a to-go bag. The guy doing the BBQ and smores was also very friendly and told several people that he would be there until everyone was done. All the other Cedar hotels better step up their game!

    « Exceeded »

Outstanding hotel ,pleasant staff ,excellent room ,comfortable and pleasing . Would stay again many times Highly recommend to any and all just a very nice place to stay . Outside vegy garden and evening BBQ was so nice and pleasant just love this place

    « What a great surprise! »

This place is so nice! Beautiful grounds and flowers, super-friendly staff, nice breakfast and evening BBQ included, pool/hot tub, free bike rentals, big, clean and comfortable rooms...reserve your room now!

    « Fantastic Room! »

Our only mistake was not getting up for breakfast. We had a wonderfully appointed room, king-size bed, nicely updated, great bathroom, and were exhausted from getting in late, so I can't review the breakfast. But the room was fantastic. They have charging stations for electric cars; they check out bikes and helmets (there's a bike trail nearby), and they have movies in the back during the summer. The next time we are in Cedar City for a few days -- this is the place we will stay!

« Outstanding Property and People »

We had a fantastic stay and enjoyed the property, the people (and the great pick your own vegetable garden and barbeque). The room was very clean, well appointed and the staff was very friendly and competent. The breakfast was outstanding with a good selection, well prepared and attentive staff.

    « fantastic location »

Fantastic. Highly recommend staying here. Bbq and smores in the evening. Wonderful breakfast in the morning and very friendly staff. Will stay here again. liked that bikes are offered to tour the local area. Walking distance to the Shakspeare theaters.

    « Wonderful stay! »

If you in Cedar City or near by, you have to stay here. Rooms are great the beds are so comfortable. Breakfast is exceptional, and the best comes at night with a very nice outside fire pit and a wonderful meal (included) with a finishing touch of Smores. They have a nice garden, you pick the veggies and they cook them for you, nothing better the farm to table in 2 mins. I think you would hard pressed to find a better value for your dollar, in the area. The staff, was wonderful and very helpful.

    « College Bound »

We stayed here when we were dropping off our daughter at SUU. We were very happy with our stay. Beds were very comfy and that is very important for me since I have back issues. Very clean and staff was great.

« Great place to overnight in Cedar City, UT »

We had a great late-arrival check-in experience. The room was very comfortable -- especially the bed (10 out of 10). The whole complex was inviting and a pleasure to stay out after being on the road for almost 8 hours. The free breakfast spread had lots of varieties and the dining area spacious. They had a no-cost BBQ going on during our arrival. It's a few blocks off the I-15, but well-worth making the trip.

« We could stay only 1 night but it was an experience that was fantastic. »

The room was very clean, and, very roomy. The outstanding part was the fire pit and the food served there every evening. The night we were there, besides brats and hamburgers, we had the option of making s'mores over the fire. Apparently, there is a different fare prepared on the grill every night. The seating was comfy, staff so very inviting and friendly. As a gardener, I appreciate many gardens. The raised beds were so attractive and we were urged to pick anything that was ripe. The gentleman, whose name I do not remember offered to serve us fruit at breakfast in the morning, if we found a melon etc. it was the first time we have encountered anything like this. So friendly, just a great idea. I wish this hotel was closer to us! If only there were more BW's that offered this treatment.

« Gem of the West »

I have been traveling throughout the US and Utah is now one of my favorite spots. To my delight I happened upon the Best Western Plus in Cedar City. A stop which was not planned. When I searched the area for Best Western there were two. I picked the one that was newly renovated. I knew this because I am a property manager and builder. Entering the lobby it was perfect and in order..beautiful fireplace and sitting area. I proceeded to the front desk where I was pleasantly greeted by Blake and Josh the staff. They proceeded to give me a description of the area and all the hotel had to offer. They also told me about a barbecue that was being held that evening and every evening at the hotel. This was at no cost and they also said that there was a garden that I could pick anything from to have Chelly and Tucker grill up for me. Well, the garden was not just a garden, it was a small farm with a corn field and any vegetable, spice or fruit that you could think of, in this garden...tomatoes, watermelon, squash, peppers, etc. It was a jubilee. Shelly and Tucker grilled for hours and then even gave us the ingredients to make s'mores, all at no cost! The grounds where magnificent! As far as the room, well I was on the second floor. The workmanship that was done on the renovation was impeccable and my view of the mountains were stunning. The room was large and comfortable and extremely clean. The layout of the exterior pool area, grilling area, walk ways and farm were laid out well. The sitting area of the barbecue was done with red stone tabletops which where actually quarried from the area. The canopy arbor added a beautiful touch. I met several staff members being Blake, Josh, Chelly, Tucker, Dan and Steve which were all beyond pleasant and contributed to my perfect stay. I now will revisit and make my stay longer. PS I usually don't post however this true GEM had to be recognized. I thank the staff and Best Western for a wonderful stay. I will definitely be back.

« Wonderful Stay for Shakespeare Festival! »

My husband & I stayed here to catch a couple of shows for the Festival. We were impressed with the warmth of the staff & cleanliness of the areas, as well as the amenities. There is a pool spa and fire pit area, where there is a large above ground vegetable garden. Some nights there is an attended barbecue & s'mores, think concierge, free! He was very helpful & informative about the area & things to do. I don't know about the rooms, as we stayed in the camping area in our motorhome. There is breakfast & also a gym area.

« Just Wonderful Rommy Room »

Large room! The room was wonderful. Did not feel cramped. Had plenty of space for luggage and kids. I will look for BW Plus on my other trips. Just filler words to get to 200 word count. Best Western Plus has large rooms.

    « Best western »

This best western plus is the nicest hotel I've stayed in all year. I had work in the area and was ther from May to August and got to know the staff quite well. THe amenities at this hotel are something I've never seen before and the staff was amazing.

    « Immaculate town hotel »

We were so pleased to have stayed at this hotel. It is well maintained and comfortable and the gardens and pool are beautiful. In addition, we found the staff extremely welcoming and helpful. It is ideally situated for the Historic district of town.

Loved the new Best Western Plus. All the upgrades were awesome. Loved Tucker and his team with the barbecue, fire pit and post play S'mores! Pool and the fitness room were great. Loved the new pool furniture and umbrellas for shade. All the front desk staff were great and always willing to help. Beds were great as well, even the AC was quieter. We've been staying in Cedar City for over 35 years. The new BW Plus is definitely the best lodging in town. See you the next time we're in town.

« Loved Aaron at the grill! Front desk staff all wonderful. »

Newly remodeled grounds were beautiful. Service was the best ever and taken to s whole new level. Breakfast always a favorite and the addition of the evening grill and marshmallow roast was truly a unique surprise. Aaron at the grill was great. « A bit of serenity and luxury in Cedar City. »

Spent one night in this hotel but we arrived early before 5pm so we got time to experience its pleasures. We were warmly welcomed by our male receptionists. Our room was huge! fact we had an additional sitting room off the bedroom which we didn't use but it was handy for storing luggage. We were on the 2nd floor of this motel style building and on request we were provided with two deckchairs for use on the veranda. The veranda later proved to be a good viewing point for the night's thunderstorm that night. The pool is to the rear of the hotel and we spent a pleasant while relaxing in the very comfortable loungers. Alongside the pool is a lovely garden with a great variety of fruit and vegetables growing there. The gardener was on hand at 6.30 to talk about all his products. Even more surprising was the presence of a chef who proceeded to cook burgers and sausages etc on the bbq from 6.30 to 11.00pm! The subsequent thunderstorm didn't stop his cooking and the free food was really good. Breakfast was in a large room to the front of the hotel which had good views. The food was good and there was a good variety of hot and cold items on offer. Overall this hotel rated as one of our best over the course of our 3 week trip to the U.S. this year.

    « Very Pleasant Stay »

Excellent place to stay with family. Hotel provides very well for guest: BBQ Dinner and S'mores at a beautiful courtyard. Nice breakfast and a beautiful park across the street to relax. Overall excellent place to stay in southern Utah.

« Best hotel in Cedar City »

This hotel has many family activities for everyone. Nice rooms, beautiful flower and vegetable gardens, enjoyed sitting around the fire pit, making s'mores and meeting other guests. Would highly recommend this hotel.

    « Perfect Family Overnight »

Arrived late after having a little car trouble. They had our room and check in was quick and everything was great both in the room and throughout the property. The Breakfast was great. Breakfast burritos were a welcome addition to the usual Best Western Menu.

    « Awesome Hotel »

This hotel was really a nice surprise. I was not expecting much in such a small town, but the staff was excellent and the property itself well maintained and comfortable. The hotel actually gave a feeling of being on vacation or at a resort - more than just being at another overnight stop. The landscaping was amazing and they even have producing vegetable gardens on the property! Free evening barbecue for guests! Highly recommend it!

    « Nice stay »

A very cordial staff at Cedar City BW. Hector was fabulous. He was helpful when we needed extra towels. On our return trip we liked our stay so much we stayed at same hotel. It was easy to make our reservations. The breakfast was fantastic also. The ladies that worked the breakfast area were very customer service oriented. That was Elsy and Kennya.

    « vacation stopover »

Very nice motel with great location and in easy walking distance to number of good places to eat . Rooms are spacious and very clean .They have recently upgrade the grounds and the facility and did a great job of making it more attractive . The pool and the workout facility are very nice for a motel in this price range.

    « Excellent ! »

This is an excellent hotel in every way. Peaceful, great views, well located in a very nice town and for the local attractions such as Zion and Bryce. They have some very nice add-ons also such as the garden, a BBQ in the evening and so on...but the winner is the staff who couldn't be any ore helpful and pleasant. If I was the owner I'd be proud!

    « Festival of leisure! »

We had an excellent stay at the Best Western Plus Hotel. Service was first-rate as were the accommodations. The breakfast was good and we enjoyed the nightly barbeque. Rooms are clean, comfortable and quiet. Staff was very customer orientated. Highly recommend!

« Outstanding Place to Stay »

We had business in Cedar City and decided to stay over rather than drive back to Salt Lake City. We checked into the Best Western Plus because they had a large outdoor pool. It was 3:30 and they had a room available on the main floor which was great. We had the pool to ourselves as well as the hot tub, and there are umbrellas to sit under. Much to our surprise, they offered us hamburgers and hotdogs on the grill outside, as well as invited us to watch the amphitheater movie. We slept great--the beds are awesome. The next morning we headed down for breakfast, which also had many choices of food. As we were leaving we noticed bicycles, which are not available for rent--they are available to check out--for free. Next time we have business there we will stay again, and spend some time on the bikes.

    « Great place »

Cedar City,s Best Western had a restaurant on the premises. The hotel was clean and decorated very nice. The breakfast was made by several ladies in town. The food was very good with all their little extras. We could see the hotel was full. Many workers of all kind were there. We were greeted with a small and felt special. We would gladly stay there again.

« Surprise, surprise. One of the best RV parks we've been to! »

The RV park is directly behind the Best Western Plus hotel on 200 N, a couple of miles from the freeway. What a surprise. It is wonderful. One has to check in at the hotel desk for the RV park, and the hotel offers all the amenities that the hotel has: pool, free breakfast; wi-fi, etc. They have the most beautiful vegetable garden in between the RV park and the hotel, with a fire pit that they light every night. They also have an inflatable tent (huge) in which they show a movie every night. Great place to stop!

« Outstanding Lodging Experience in Cedar City »

The hotel, hot tub, and pool were great, but the garden, Fire Pit and related outdoor BBQ and S'mores in the evening put this place way ahead of the competition! Not to mention the outstanding Aaron coordinating the guest experience with the goal of a terrific time and the skills to effortlessly pull it off. They even have bike rentals and a little movie showing. Really great experience!

    « Friendly service »

Great stay, room was very comfortable and service was great. Have a great garden and fire pit. I recommend the s'mores. Very friendly, courteous staff .Close to town and can walk to places. Took a hike and it was great to come and relax back to hotel with bar-b-que at fire pit.

« Best Hotel in Cedar City »

Awesome amenities. Grill, bikes, pool, horseshoes, garden with fresh veggies, awesome helpful staff. Hotel staff will grill up pizza, brats, burgers and more as well as take you on a bike tour. If you see fresh peppers, onions, tomato's or other veggies in the garden you can pick them and eat. Movies outdoors are always cool.

    « Lovely, Unique building »

Stayed here back in June 2016. The grounds are very nice. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and quite helpful. As several reviews have mentioned, the breakfast was somewhat lacking. Not bad, just not great. It was also really nice to see the upscale dress code at check-in!

« Don't miss out on this awesome stay! »

We weren't planning to stay here but needed an extra night before heading back home from visiting Zion. We had a long drive ahead of us and no hotels were available in Springdale or St George (which was so fortunate for us)! We happened upon this particular hotel/motel by checking out options on the Best Western website and I'm so glad we did! This place is newly renovated. It's off the Main Street and has a very attractive exterior. You can tell that someone put a lot of thought into making this place something special and memorable for the guests. The rooms are clean, large and comfortable. The a/c works well (not noisy). Water pressure in the shower is great. They have good wifi. Here's one of the best parts....their customer service. It was raining (complete with thunder and lightening)....but two friendly guys were out in the courtyard manning a BBQ and fire pit. They grilled hamburgers and sausages and had a variety of options for s'mores (gummy bears, kitkats, ghiradelli chocolate squares, caramel marshmallows, etc.). This just showed how much they care about keeping their guests happy. Their breakfast was outstanding! Make your own breakfast sandwhich, breakfast burritos, hash browns, donuts, fruit, granola, yogurt, cereal, etc. The best breakfast of our trip. They also have a cool chess board area (life sized pieces) and a beautiful vegetable garden. Their check in staff was very kind and deserves kudos (Jacob was very helpful....I spoke with him prior to arriving at the hotel and he went out of his way to help with a scheduling issue). I can't recommend this place highly enough!

    « Unexpected and lovely! »

I booked this hotel for a short stay expecting just a normal hotel stay. It was much more. Besides being very clean (I am a very picky hotel guest when it comes to cleanliness), the staff were wonderful and the breakfast yummy! One morning, homemade breakfast burritos and fresh salsa!

    « Excellent »

One of the best Best Western we have stayed.Everything from the front desk, breakfast attendants and room housekeeping was excellent. Enjoyed outside bbq and fire pit. Would definitely recommend it to everyone.

    « A restful night »

A wonderful place, nicely landscaped and a unique courtyard. A great setting to get out of your room Clean and veery well kept hotel Breakfast is well stocked and items are kept fresh. Staff very friendly and helpful

    « Don't plan on breakfast »

Hotel is average. Bed was comfortable but walls are thin. Free breakfast is the weakest free breakfast I've ever seen and I make a point to stay at hotels that have free breakfast. The food choices were minimal and coffee sucked. I stopped at Starbucks on my way out of town for coffee and a breakfast sandwich.

    « Nice Upgrade »

This was our third summer stay at this hotel. We were there in 2015 during the fix up, and not at all disturbed with the construction that was going on. It was fun to return this year and see it all completed and the finished product, making it a Best Western Plus hotel. It is a comfortable hotel, rooms certainly a nice size, beds make sleeping easy, housekeeping does an excellent job keeping rooms clean and pleasant. Staff has always been very pleasant and helpful. Be sure to look at the garden, and enjoy the vegetables, if there when things are blooming; yes guests are allowed to pick the veggies and enjoy. (Just be respectful when picking, so others may also enjoy them). It may be 90s during the day in the summer, but temps drop to 50s when sun goes down, and the fire pit was quite pleasant after dinner. Pool was relaxing and if you play chess, check out the life-sized chessboard - a lot of fun. If there on the weekend you can enjoy the food made on the BBQ, s'mores, and an outdoor movie. Also has a well equipped exercise room. Well worth the money, and highly recommend a stay.

« Great time in Cedar City »

A beautifully remodeled facility with friendly staff; evening complimentary barbecue and s'mores, and outdoor movies for the family. Spacious rooms. Nice outdoor pool and hot tub. Right at city center and close to Shakespeare theater. Gateway to outstanding natural scenery at Cedar Breaks and Highway 12

    « The best!! »

Have stayed in several hotels during a one month road trip. This is the best. Clean, very friendly staff, perfct location for several parks, hiking, and scenery. I wish we had stayed longer. Facilities were great: fire pit to sit around in evenings and meet others, wonderful fresh breakfast, BBQ at night, etc. if you are in the area...., stay here.

« best bet in this town »

This renovated motel is probably the best place to stay in Cedar City. My room was quiet and clean, with a comfortable bed. I have stayed at four other places in Cedar City in past years, including this motel in 2010 (before renovation) and the one across the street. None of those would rate more two stars. This Best Western does have its share of design oddities, as if the renovation's architect had previously built Gothic haunted houses. A second floor room has two entrances, with a walkway outside that has no discernible purpose. Very bright lights (Billboard-bright) on this walkway at night make using a sleep mask essential. Curtains in the room were directly above the air conditioner, muffling its impact at night. And the swimming pool is surrounded with scorching hot pavement (rubber mats, manager?). Don't go barefoot there. But the motel does get the basics right, good location too, so I would recommend it.

    « Amazing Hotel!! »

When driving from Las Vegas to Salt Lake City, my car started to have problems near Cedar City. I had to get a room and stumbled upon this gem! First the front desk staff were amazing! They recommended a mobile mechanic and gave me his phone number. It was after 6 so all shops were closed. The best part was an amazing surprise! Every night, except Sunday and Monday, they have a free BBQ, S'mores around the fire pit and an outdoor movie! Aaron is an exceptional host. He showed us how to roast gummy bears and Starburst. My two daughters loved it after swimming! We were so impressed that on our way back to Vegas we decided to stay again. My sister even drove down from SLC to stay one night and enjoy the BBQ. The hotel has only been open since January and is extremely clean and comfortable. Located on Main Street across from a park. I will definitely stay here again for a longer stay or whenever I drive to SLC. Breakfast and WiFi are also free. Almost forgot, they have a garden where you can pick any vegetable you like, and Aaron will grill it for you!

« The only place to stay in Cedar City! »

I couldn't more highly recommend this hotel. The staff, breakfast, cleanliness, activities (outdoor movies, vegetable gardens to pick from, life size chess game, outdoor pool, nighttime smores and snacks over the fire pit) were perfect. I have never loved a hotel stay so much. I had 2 kids with me that were completely entertained. I loved this hotel.

« Good hotel with a veggie garden! »

This is a new hotel which was immaculately clean, comfortable rooms. Good breakfast buffet, nice pool, And the vegetable garden was a lovely surprise, ditto the evening "entertainment" learning about s'mores and having interesting conversation with other guests on the patio by the grill, pool and garden. Will definitely be back. And Christine in reception was a delight to deal with. Also, within walking distance of Shakespeare Festival theaters.

« Great Service and BBQ »

The hotel has great service -especially Elsy and Kristna who took great care for morning breakfast. The hotel also provides BBQ with complimentary food during the week. Great food and, again, friendly service! There is a beautiful vegetable garden out back that is fair game for visitors. Really cool

    « Most Unique Hotel »

We loved exploring the grounds, vegetable garden, pool, outdoor movie, and BBQ areas. The atmosphere was that of a vacation resort. Guests were able to meet and visit with one another during the evening activities. Rather than bother with finding a restaurant and something to do, we stayed on site and enjoyed all of the planned events. There was no pressure to do anything, except eat more delicious food at the BBQ!

« Awesome Choice in Cedar City »

Just stayed at this property, and it is in great shape! The grounds are immaculate and very well maintained. The customer service was superb. The room was well appointed and very clean. The outdoor pool is great and kid friendly. The location is on the corner of the most central intersection of Cedar City. Food is very close, and multiple options. Slightly above average, free breakfast. There are several RV hook-ups in the back as well. Specifically, if you get Kristine at the front desk, you have scored! She treated us very well and is very professional. I really enjoyed my stay and will be back!

    « good position »

stayed one night may 2016 and enjoyed our time there.we had a room near the road and feared the traffic noise at night but there was has a small but clean bathroom, two double beds and free wi fi that works. there is a sizzler next door but it is only a couple of minutes walk to other food outlets such as chinese and pizza. supermarket covering all your needs plus prepared food is also just nearby. breakfast eas included in our stay and it aws very good, we would return.

« Need to improve on breakfast »

I stayed here for a night from bryce. The staff were amazing especially Joshua and Jacob. It was so nice to have the suprise bbq and to be able to pick vegetables from the garden. The room was also spotless clean. The only downside was the breakfast! !!! I stayed in four different locations and so far that was the worst of them all. It looked and tasted like it was straight from the box.

    « Great stay »

Loved the friendliness of all the staff. Awesome free BBQ and s'mores in the evening. Giant garden by pool that folks are encouraged to pick from. Clean. Great continental breakfast every morning. Definitely recommend.

    « Utah Shakes trip »

Excellent stay! The staff was lovely! From the phone reservation, to check in (great dinner recommendation) breakfast greeter, front desk staff, and check our. Room was great, and the grounds (great garden) were beautiful. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a very comfortable, worry-free getaway.

    « Amazing »

Very nice stay. Courteous staff. The courtyard is amazing. I loved the vegetable garden. And the s'mores made at the firpit were an excellent way to finish the evening. It is a beautiful building and all rooms have been completely remodeled. The complementary breakfast was very good.

    « Great July 4th Weekend »

My wife and I went to Cedar City Best Western Plus for a two day get away from the Las Vegas heat over 4th of July weekend. Great Place. Newly remodeled, roomy and comfortable. The front desk personal were professional, friendly, and informative. Other hotel personnel were also very friendly and polite. The grounds included a nice pool area, a garden where you could pick your own vegetables, a huge fire pit, an evening BBQ for guests, a horseshoe pit. We've probably stayed at 15 to 20 different BW's over the years and I would rate this one best overall. This is a place we will definitely return to on our next trip to Cedar City.

    « RV park »

While the location is ideal, I will rethink staying at your RV park the next time I visit Cedar City as the cost is quite expensive considering there are no showers and no cable at the park. We were told last year that the cable had been cut by the construction and would be fixed but it wasn't. In addition, the breakfast buffet was also included last year and now they are charging us for it.

    « Wow, what a surprise! »

Less busy due to it's mid-town location and recently remodeled with outstanding service. Supper nice rooms with all the comfort features. USB chargers, good A/C, all new interior and high end mattress and bedding.

« Great place to stay with family »

We stayed at this hotel because it was a great location for coming back after hiking around Bryce and other parks in the area. The rooms were clean, the staff was pleasant, the breakfast was good but the pool, fire pit and giant chess set are what set it apart! It was great to relax in the hot tub after hiking all day, watch the kids play in the pool or play chess and then sit by the fire to dry off. Would definitely stay here again if travelling in the area.

We spent one night here with our 16 year old grandson. The easy access to the pool, the firepit and the breakfast area was wonderful. The room was perfect but it was the outdoor space that really impressed us. The garden area is amazing! Will definitely stay here again when in the area.

    « Best ever »

I have stayed in a lot of places, and this is hands down the best place Ive ever stayed. It was like staying in a community instead of a hotel. The garden idea is amazing, our kids loved the chess game.

« Wonderful RV Stop for Family with Kids!!! »

We only stayed 1 night in the RV section right behind the motel, but wished we could of stayed longer. The staff was great, from everyone I encountered at the front desk to the awesome backyard BBQ chef and the master gardener! Roasting dogs, brauts, marshmallows and a few other special treats. Kids had a blast. Loved the outdoor garden and the ability to pick some fresh spinach before getting back on the road was great! The little set up behind the motel is awesome, has beautiful garden, fireplace for cooking smores and such, and a large chess board game. Pool jacuzzi are nice and clean. The sites are flat with full hookups. Great locations for walking to the store or nearby restaurants, thought you won't need to with everything right on property.

« Highly recommend this hotel »

Very clean, pleasant environment with lovely staff that care about your stay and will assist in any way needed. Also, in a perfect location for all the scenic parks in the area--Zion, Brice, Arches, Kolob, etc. But the pool area with the outdoor fire pit and planter boxes (and RV parking area) are all very nice and quite unexpected. Very enjoyable and comfortable hotel. We will defintiely return.

We had a drive vacation, hitting different hotels as we made our way through Utah - this was an excellent hotel. the staff were warm and friendly, made sure we had a great room. Offered suggestions on where I could get a gluten free lunch. I would recommend staying here if you are in Cedar City

« Super nice, super clean, great price. »

I stayed here one night as I came into southern Utah for an event a little bit further south. The staff was very helpful and even showed me to my room seeing that I was totally exhausted and it was super late. I joined the BW rewards program and, on my way back out of town stayed here again. My room was spacious, clean, and quiet.

« Great place to stay »

This hotel is a great place to stay in Cedar City. The location is great, has all the amenities, and rooms are spacious and clean. The staff here is extremely helpful and friendly. I needed to check out at 5 am and they handled it all the night before.

    « Awesome RV Stay »

We stayed 2 nights in the RV spots and wished we could of stayed a couple of more. Inlaws stayed in a motel room while we stayed in the rv spot it worked out great. Rooms were simple and very clean. Their staff was great, including the backyard chef and the master gardener! Kids had a blast. The little set up behind the motel is awesome, has beautiful garden, fireplace for cooking smores and such, horseshoe pit, large chess board game. Pool is nice and clean. We had two trailers parked facing each other that worked out great with full hookups, it was very clean around the surrounding rv area..... can't wait to go back!

    « Back Again »

We discovered the BWP in March and returned on our way to Bryce Canyon last week. We loved the Manager's Reception. While we did not participate in the BBQ, as we had returned to the Depot Grill for dinner, steps from our room, we did enjoy the S'Mores and visiting with several of the other BVP guests who were also enjoying the fire pit. The fire pit area and produce gardens were installed since our last visit and are great additions. Our only regret is that the TV reception does not include HD Channels for the major networks.

    « Getaway to Zion »

Location very well appointed..area restaurants very good..especially The Depot which is on hotel property.nice breakfast area and food selection was good..would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Zion

    « Minor hotel issues »

This is a nice newer, (remodeled) hotel. Everything was new, fresh, & clean. I only have three minor issues that bothered me. 1. I forgot to pack my wine bottle opener and went to front desk to borrow one. They could not locate one, not even in the restaurant. I wasn't gong to take it, I brought the wine downstairs with me so I could open it quickly and hand the opener back. 2. No city information for out of town visitors whatsoever. Not in lobby nor in our rooms. i.e. things to do, maps, fliers advertising all that there is to do around town. 3. No "do not disturb" door signs in the rooms. other than these minor issues, all was great.

« Really nice, especially the outdoors »

The motel is located right in the center of Cedar City, near the grocery and a wide range of restaurant choices (except on Sunday!). Shares a parking lot with far and away the best restaurant in town, the Depot Grill. Our room was nice, extremely large. Could have fit several more pieces of furniture but the elbow room was great. Comfortable bed, big tv, good wifi, nice towels and bedding. Recently refurbished. The landscaping is the star. Kudos to the gardener. Nice brick paths, plenty of flowers and interesting plants, a fire pit and shade structure near the pool. They play movies outdoors a few times a week. This is an awesome place to watch night fall on the mountains after a hard day playing in the nearby parks, or attending a play during the festival.

    « Outstanding Remodel »

We stayed here four years ago and it was a fine establishment. This trip we decided to stay there again after sorting out some confusing info on the BW web-site. It went from being fine to being outstanding. My only negative comment has nothing to do with this establishment but with Best Westerns decision to change their signage. Why they would mess with the most recognized signs in the travel accommodation business is beyond me. That aside I will recommend this facility to anyone I know traveling in the area.

    « Comfortable Stay »

We stayed here for three days in May in order to tour National Parks in the area. A great location with an surprisingly good restaurant (Depot Grill) next door. The staff was helpful and cheerful. The room was large with doors to the outside and inside the hotel. When I saw the pool outside my room I figured we would have a noisy night, but, as it turns out, the pool was not ready yet. There was also a fire pit and some construction going on but we were not disturbed by any of it. In fact, it was a restful, quiet three days with attentive staff and good breakfast choices (as far as hotel free breakfasts go). Good value and location especially for families. There is also a RV park area next to the parking lot that looks well cared for. We had a ground floor room but I would imagine the second floor rooms have great views of the nearby mountain.

« Renovations are very nice »

This hotel has been here some time but is just going thru a rehab. Its at a major intersection for this town, so there could be some traffic. Not for us on a Sunday. Nice balcony facing street, (interior & exterior doors to our room) but not patio chairs provided. Room was good size, two chairs which is nice when you have two people in room. Nice bathroom, nice towels, lighted make-up mirror. Friendly staff & check-in was fast, although neither pm or am staff could answer our local area questions. We're Starbucks people so went there for coffee, so didn't sample breakfast. Don't confuse this BW with the Town & Country BW across the street. This is a LDS town so alcohol isn't always available esp. on Sunday. If you're there when the Depot restaurant is open, definitely go there! We're sorry they were closed this time around. Would definitely stay here again. Pool is outside but wasn't open yet.

    « A little noisy »

New hotel and not quite finished. Competent friendly staff, Large room with nice bathroom, usual Breakfast, nearest ice machine out of order. Worst problem noisy HVAC system which made it hard to sleep.

« Great New BW Plus Property »

This hotel has great rooms having just opened in January. This property was previously an overflow for the BW across the street, but upgraded and became a separate hotel. A wonderful hot breakfast with eggs, sausage and biscuits & gravy. There were donuts, cereals, yogurt and fruit. The beds were comfortable (we stayed twice while traveling) and had very large screen TVs. The staff was very friendly and responsive to our needs. I would recommend this hotel.

« Quiet and Great Location »

Being able to go into a room, close the door, and relax is a huge deal to me. The room I stayed in had a king bed a big tv. The bed was great and so was the TV. I was able to watch about anything I wanted. I also loved the towel animal that the staff left for me it was a friendly touch and made me fee welcome during my stay.

« Definitely NOT for kids. »

Unless you want a newly remodeled place with very friendly staff, AND right across the street from a large park with a great playground. The public library is next to the park and there are lots of little stores and restaurants within walking distance.

    « Recently purchased hotel »

There are two BW across from each other. We saw the signage for BW Plus first. Newly renovated. Great curb appeal. Rooms are very nice. Breakfast bar could definitely be upgraded. Friendly staff , however there is a need to be trained on points of interest in the area.

« Best Western Plus - Cedar City Utah »

Until this trip we had always stayed at Best Western across the street. It was OK, however the newer Best Western Plus was a very pleasant experience. The facility is nicely appointed and the staff exceptionally helpful. Occupancy was not high because it had just opened and none the less the breakfast was delightful. Exercise room and equipment was very good as well. I would like to recommend this one to anyone considering staying in Cedar City.

    « Utahpian stay »

After a long day touring Bryce Canyon and Zion, it was great to be received efficiently and politely by a young missionary in the lobby here. The service was great, the sleep excellent, and the breakfast very good, by US standards. Will stay again!

    « BW Review »

Cedar City Best Western was beautiful, warm, clean and felt like home. The employees were helpful, nice and welcoming. I will definitely tell others to stay and will stay again as I pass through Cedar City.

« Great value great people »

This s clean nice hotel but the staff made it great starting with check in at 9:30 PM and right through breakfast and check-out the staff were so polite and attentive to our needs. The breakfast was great with good variety and the dining area was clean and well kept. I will stay here when future travel needs take me to Cedar.

    « Nice stay! »

King bed room, main floor, separate building. Clean room, Comfy bed, strong wifi, lots hot water. Bathroom floor/walls freezing cold (it was cold outside). Breakfast pancakes, eggs, potatoes were cold, wondering if the heating elements were working properly.

« From the GM to the Grounds »

This hotel appears to have been recently purchased. The grounds and landscaping are immaculate from stone walkways to copper whirlygigs strategically placed around the property. After checking in, we were met by Jared, the GM, who came pushing a bellhop cart across the parking lot to our truck because he said it looked like we quite a load. Rooms were immaculate and we loved having the back door out onto the patio. Conveniently located and definitely our return spot when we head to Cedar City.
