"What a hidden gem!"

5
jamespU8660YL, Widnes, United Kingdom 01/12/2022

As a first time guest to Nailcote Hall I was VERY pleasantly surprised! The venue is stunning, the bedrooms are gorgeous, the staff are really lovely. I didn't get to use the spa but will definitely re-visit and book in!

"Largely positive"

4
Shrimpysmiles, Bristol, United Kingdom 24/11/2022

A lovely old school hotel in a quiet spot on the edge of Coventry. Room was large and clean and bathroom well equipped. Kettle in room and tea /coffee / hot chocolate/ biscuits replenished each day. Tables, chairs, storage space plentiful and nice view looking out onto edge of golf course. Decor in room and public areas very traditional but I feel that adds to the atmosphere. Downstairs in the modern annex to the main building is a small but modern gym and good swimming pool (just oddly deep for a leisure hotel even at the ‘shallow end' which as a shorty who's not that confident a swimmer was a bit of a disappointment). Only a couple of negatives to pick up - total lack of signage around the hotel (whether to direct you to the exit or the sports area) and somewhat unclear signs at the 2 entrances (one to golf course, other to hotel) and the staff were civil but not particularly welcoming. Minimal info provided at check -in (no info about where the gym/pool was for example) and no more info in the rooms themselves. Circa 20 minute walk to nearest train station with good links into Coventry and beyond - but note a section of this is on a minor (but used) road with no pavement. There's a good free car park at the station if you don't fancy walking.

"Brilliant Sunday Roast"

5
MalcolmD966, Crick, United Kingdom 06/11/2022

Visited for Sunday lunch. The food in particular the Sunday Roast was excellent. We opted for the beef and pork. Both cooked to perfection served with a large variety of vegetables. The starters - Chicken Parfait and smoked salmon were both excellent, followed by dessert. The Manager and young waitresses made you feel welcome and looked after you throughout your visit. Plenty of parking - great for golfing! We will be returning!

"Brilliant stay & tribute night for a friend's Birthday"

5
User 01/11/2022

I just wanted to say a huge thank you for a brilliant time and stay! I booked for a friend's birthday the tribute night and hotel stay, from prompt email responses in answering any questions to when we arrived and left the service and friendliness of your staff was amazing! (even supplying a wheelchair for one of us who had a torn ligiment) There isn't a thing you could have done better or improved on and it was so lovely to have such a positive experience especially being a larger group! so thank you for making our weekend one to remember, will certainly be back again! The tribute act was also brilliant and a great event!

"Lovely relaxing weekend break."

5
muffin6132, Kent 27/10/2022

We booked a weekend break with dinner, B&B included. The staff were all very friendly, helpful and couldn't do enough for us. The room was lovely and the flowers, wine and chocolates when we arrived were great. The food in the restaurant was wonderful and we thoroughly enjoyed both evening meals we had there. We used the hotel as a base to explore the Cotswolds and visit the British Motor and Silverstone Museums. The health club and pool were great, although the male pool changing room has seen better days and if I am honest, could do with a refurbishment. All in all, we had a lovely couple of days there and would highly recommend it. For what we had, I thought the package we booked was excellent value for money. Thanks to all the staff for giving us a wonderful weekend away. It was much appreciated.

"Disappointed at the mismatch"

3
User 24/10/2022

The hotel looks lovely from the outside. The room did not match the pictures on the website or booking sites and, like the bar area, was very tired indeed. Breakfast was served from the entrance lobby which was unusual and to be honest not very pleasant. The pool area was, however, ok. Sunday lunch was a massive contrast to the rest of the experience - very good.

"Very Nice Hotel"

4
Neville B, Liverpool 24/10/2022

I thought this was a really nice hotel and decent value too. Will certainly stay again. The bar, restaurant, reception and a few rooms are in the older part of the house and the rest in a more modern annex which also contains a leisure centre. A big semi permanent marque looks like where events or weddings are held. We did not use any of the leisure facilities or see the rooms in the newer part. Our room in the house itself was excellent, the house is 1650's so if single glazed leaded windows, sloping floors, and the odd creaking floor board are not your thing then avoid, I loved it. Sound travels easily but no big events were on and we slept very well. The hotel was actually very full and coped very well. People using the golf course or visiting the NEC seemed to make up most clientele. The bar is a bit small and not terribly comfortable or attractive, we ate in the bar twice and the dining room once (dining room very nice). Bar food OK and the food in restaurant was very good indeed. All the staff were very friendly, competent, and efficient. Car park is very big, the grounds are mostly taken up with a 9 hole golf course so not much to stroll round. Location for several Nat Trust sites and castles is excellent, within striking distance of NEC and Birmingham.

"Old style British hotel with cramped up reception, noisy breakfast area. Average"

3
paulaI7538ET, Dubai, United Arab Emirates 23/10/2022

It was a one night stay at this hotel. Not a good place to stay for business purpose. Hotel serves basically as a wedding venue.Room average. I was in room 38 with no views. Reception could not provide a simple tooth brush. Breakfast area near reception, quite noisy and hence avoided having breakfast. Not going back there.

"Pleasant mid week short stay"

4
751padam, London, United Kingdom 23/10/2022

Had a midweek trip with my son over half term to play some golf and have a swim and enjoy the food, which was our second visit. The staff are really friendly and welcoming. We had dinner and breakfast in the main restaurant and both were faultless. The 9 hole golf course is a real test of how good your short game is ! Challenging but a lot of fun. We will be back again next year.

"A fantastic hotel"

5
Janet W, London, United Kingdom 17/10/2022

Our stay here was fantastic. The pool was enjoyable and not busy. Every member of staff we encountered was efficient and helpful. Our room was lovely and the food good too. We would certainly recommend a stay here.

"Superb venue and staff"

5
chriswe1968, Walsall, United Kingdom 17/10/2022

I Recently held my daughters wedding at this wonderful venue, staff went over and above to make the day special for the bride, groom and guests. Stayed 2 nights, room was a delight and the breakfast very good. Yesterday I took 36 golfers from Walsall Golf Club to play the challenging Par 3 Course. The accommodated us with a Shot gun start, after an excellent breakfast, staff very attentive. Thoroughly recommend as wedding and golf venue.

"Pleasant hotel, very friendly staff"

3
ChrisS390, Eglinton, United Kingdom 14/10/2022

This is a nice sized hotel of about 46 rooms in a lovely countryside area. The staff are very friendly and helpful, our room was comfortable and clean. The pool was very nice though the changing rooms felt scruffy. The food was of a good standard , above average but disappointing in that it is described as fine dining and it really doesn't quite get there. Which is what I felt about the whole hotel - it wasn't quite reaching the standard it portrays itself to be.

"Outstanding hotel and not too expensive"

5
duncl2021, Desford, United Kingdom 14/10/2022

Could not fault anything about our visit. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The menu was limited but the food was outstanding. The staff were pleasant and helpful. Lovely location and a nice swimming pool. We are planning to revisit in the near future. This was our annual meet up with my siblings and no one had any thing bad to say about this hotel.

"Business stay"

2
User 12/10/2022

We booked here as the website and history of the venue appealed plus we wanted use of the gym and pool during the later evening or early morning before work. The staff on the first day appeared bored, disinterested and you felt as though you had put them out asking for basic things like cutlery or condiments or help with luggage. The room was nice and newer than those in the main building . However..... on the first night I noticed a boiler sound noise boosting every 20 minutes throughout the night. this was very loud and kept me awake, I also had to put something behind the door to take the light away from the hallway. The noise was awful. I didn't sleep and gave up at 4am needless to say I was exhausted at work all day. I did inform reception in the morning to be told in a rather 'I don't care' way someone would review it, This didn't happen and the same the next evening however I was too tired to care by then, The Gym only opened at 7am and was tiny! 3 people max in there and its is packed! Pool was ok. The staff on day 2 were much better especially the staff in the restaurant, the 3 ladies were friendly and nothing was too much trouble. I don't ask for much from a stay, yes it was clean and had some plus points but nothing like the website suggests it appears so dated with many of the staff coming across as hating their jobs and dislike of guests. Such a shame.

"Odd and average hotel, don't be fooled by the website photos"

3
BizzyBoyandGirl, London, United Kingdom 12/10/2022

This is a very average hotel - my room was functional but tired, on check-in I asked for a quiet room, later in the evening when I got back after going out for dinner I could easily hear the TV in the next door room, thankfully the occupant turned it off at a reasonable hour. There was a very strange breakfast arrangement this morning - where you have to leave the table in the dining room to be served / collect your hot options (sausage / bacon / egg etc) in the reception area! Makes me smile just thinking about it. Goodness knows what foreign visitors think of the British when they stay here! Clearly the breakfast situation was confusing most of the guests who arrived but didn't receive a greeting / explanation at the door, quite funny to observe if I'm honest. I won't be staying here again.

"Rural Luxury"

5
BrianW946, Saintfield 05/10/2022

I was invited to lead a Transformational Breath six-day course at this beautiful venue. I travelled by air to Birmingham and it was only a short drive from the airport to Nailcote Hall. The building is a medieval manor house set in a rural location and it is visually stunning. My accommodation was in a separate building located nearby and we had exclusive use of a large room in the golf clubhouse for our breath work retreat. I would recommend it as ideal for running a retreat or business event. Perhaps most outstanding of its many good qualities was the excellence of the staff. They had been clearly been trained to a high standard and I found everyone to be really welcoming and helpful. My bedroom with en suite bathroom was beautifully decorated and furnished to a high standard. Everything was spotlessly clean everything worked and everything oozed quality. I stayed a total of ten days and the bedding was charged frequently and towels were replaced daily. The restaurant food was simply outstanding with every dish that I ate being delicious and presented in a visually attractive way. I also sampled some bar food which was of a good standard. There are additional amenities at Nailcote Hall, a gym, pool, and sauna which I did not have time to use. I did make time to walk around the perimeter of the delightfully landscaped golf course. I understand that I could have played golf and there were plenty of golfers to be seen during my stay. Nailcote Hall is reasonably expensive but for value for money I think it is outstanding.

"Beatles Party with It's The Beatles"

4
User 02/10/2022

A great night! Good food served by friendly staff. It's The Beatles tribute band were excellent - played some great hits. Musicianship and vocal harmonies were spot on. People had a great time, dancing and singing along.

"Really outstanding hotel and restaurant for the price"

5
JohnW813, London, United Kingdom 01/10/2022

Great staff, very comfortable, lovely Elizabethan manor house, good bar, excellent restaurant and truly astonishing value for money! Couldn't recommend highly enough and I'll certainly be back next time I'm at the NEC

"Music break"

5
Eddy M, Bracknell, United Kingdom 25/09/2022

Room was perfect. The food was excellent valve for money. The music was top notch as well. Staff went that little bit extra for us. To find a negative i would have to be nit picky. Enjoyable break will return again soon

"Lovely getaway"

5
User 18/09/2022

I stayed with my mom for three nights as a trip for her, and had the afternoon tea one day. The room was nice and the staff were lovely - the right type of people for working in a customer facing role. I only have a couple of minor niggles, which didn't really impact the stay. First is that when getting out the shower, which was over the bath, it was slippier than I'd have liked. I know it's wet, obviously, but you had to be very careful not to slip. Other minor niggles is that the drawers were a bit dusty. All the surfaces were clean, but inside the drawers could've done with a wipe over. I would definitely recommened though, the positives of the stay more than outweigh those small negatives.

"Weekend getaway - great staff and food"

5
User 12/09/2022

Stopped on a Saturday night - they had a wedding on so moved us to the further room (as we requested) so didn't disturb us - great service. Restaurant was great - good service and lovely food. Will be going back again.

"Great place - most enjoyable with excellent staff"

4
Philm4263, Walsall, United Kingdom 11/09/2022

Overnight stay with family. Room needed a little updating but generally very good. Staff were friendly and a problem with the tv was fixed within minutes. Dodd in the restaurant was very good and service was excellent. The pool, jacuzzi and steam room were brilliant and service in the leisure centre was superb. I can highly recommend

"Professional, friendly and efficient!"

5
Richie C, Warwick, United Kingdom 05/09/2022

We booked the 'Lant Suite' for a party of 80+, and at very short notice too. They could not be more accomodating... Great service from the start, super efficient, a fabulous meal with very attentive staff and most well organised from the outset. They worked with us to ensure we had what we needed and it has to be said that Carol - who was our 'go to' for the evening - was simply brilliant. She handled everything we asked for, fuss free and straight away. She oversaw our Band our DJ, the room itself....and anticipated all we could ever need - what a truly great asset she is. Thank you Carol - you really are quite brilliant!! The event we held was fantastic and all our party said the same also. Table service from the staff was excellent, all beautifully presented and the food selections arrived promptly, piping hot - and tasted great. We had also booked several rooms too, all were comfortable, clean - and well appointed. Next morning, the breakfast was lovely, with good choices and they even set up a large table for us - in advance without having to ask - so we all sat together. This shows the attention to detail that made the whole experience outstanding. If you need a venue for an event, this location is beautifully secluded, impressive - and I can recommend from our experience that you can a have a great time that is reasonably priced (with plenty of parking) and a team of people who do everything to ensure your enjoyment is satisfied. Very well done to all concerned and thank you for making our 'Priory Theatre Birthday' one to remember....!

"Overnight business stay - I would return again"

4
User 03/09/2022

Excellent and clean swimming pool for a hotel of this size. Staff friendly and helpful. I can recommend the restaurant. I had the best sirloin steak meal for many a year. If I need to return to the area I would not hesitate to stay here again. It is set in a quiet, rural setting with an easy drive into town. Only two minor niggles. My room did not have its own mini-fridge, which on a hot day meant no cool drinks to hand. The room's shower/bath was not the easiest or safest to get in and out of. A person carrying a leg or back injury might find it too difficult.

"Four star?!"

2
User 02/09/2022

How this place is a 4 star is beyond me...its a 3 star at the very most. Its very dated, and grubby. Needs to be closed for 6 months and have a major overhaul. And thats for new furniture too and even door latches as my bathroom door doesnt even close let alone lock! As for the bathroom, the toilet rim wasnt clean and the toilet edge on the floor was disgusting. A guy came to clean straight away which was dealt with perfectly. Dirt and grime in corners throughout the hotel. Finger prints on every brass handle backing. Even hand prints on the room windows! Are the cleaners fred and joan from next door or actual professionals? Food was spot on last night. Breakfast was as a buffet....but then a couple of issues were made about having 2 sausages and 2 types of eggs. Its a buffet so its eat what you want NOT being served a plate of what they think you deserve! Otherwise, take my order and serve breakfast straight from kitchen. Dont be fooled by website pictures and only expect a 2 to 3 star hotel. I wont stay here again thats for sure.

"nice place"

4
chrisp617, Royal Tunbridge Wells, United Kingdom 02/09/2022

geat room, very pretty short golf course, nice staff breakfast is good. Eveniing meal more variable - meat courses were executed better than fish courses. Avoid crepes - they are now not prepared at the table and not hot.

"Let down"

2
HayleyBel_3, Lincolnshire, United Kingdom 02/09/2022

we decided to stay here for an evening to break down or journey from Wales. The photos are not a true reflection to the reality of this place. we paid a lot of money for this. And tired and weary we remained. The bedrooms are spacious but extremely dated. There are marks and stains on everything from the carpets to the soft furnishing and walls. the windows are filthy. Attention to detail matters. Our bathroom was disgusting, The base of the toilet had someone's bodily matter as well as the toilet rim, The sink is disgusting. Infact the bathroom needs to be blown up! Health hazard!! and this is a 4 star!! House keeping need to be re trained.. A young lad did bring a bottle of bleach up. If we had somewhere else to go and it wasn't so late we would of gone with a refund too. On the plus the food was nice. Just hope I don't go home with cholera.

"Excellent wedding stayover"

5
84maisie, Coventry, United Kingdom 28/08/2022

My son & new daughter- in-law held their wedding at Nailcote Hall very recently. The venue attention to detail & helpfulness of all the staff made this day a very enjoyable event. For those of the wedding party staying overnight, our rooms were very comfortable clean & well situated for access of the reception venue - breakfast next day was plentiful hot & tasty & we were given the benefit of a separate breakfast room to chat over the previous days events. We then headed to the leisure club & thoroughly enjoyed a couple of hours wind down in the pool & jacuzzi while a lovely staff member kept us topped up with water & ensuring that the jacuzzi bubbles were non stop. Would most definitely recommend this hotel with its welcoming helpful staff members.

"Very disappointed. Looks good in the pictures but we decided not to stay."

1
User 08/08/2022

We arrived at 2pm for our 2.30pm check in. We waited in the bar till 3pm. We were given the keys to our suite and made our way along a corridor of used bed linen, dirty cups and cleaning equipment. We went up two flights of stairs to find the door to our suite open and a large pile of used lenen blocking the door. Inside the room we found it was not cleaned or ready for our occupation. We made our way back down stairs and spoke to a young man on reception who said he thought the rooms were ready. I asked what he was intending to do. His response was "What do you expect me to do?" I returned to wait in the bar and at 4pm we left. This was certainly not the place for us. Very poor communication and willingness to resolve problems. Guests obviously are an inconvenience to the staff working there. Wish I had taken photos of the chaos, as an absolute disgrace, but just wanted to leave ASAP. We moved to Breasal Priory just outside Derby, where we had a wonderful stay.

"Lovely staff but hotel needs a major overhaul!"

2
User 26/07/2022

Myself and a friend spent one night whilst visiting family in the area - the hotel is in desperate need of some TLC! the gardens are untended, the room we had dated and in parts not clean, the ground floor toilets quite a disgrace! There were two weddings and a christening taking place in the evening and whilst the staff were very polite and wanted to help, they were all very young and had no management supervision at all - some training on how to approach and speak to customers might be worthwhile! This could be a stunning hotel but sadly, investment is needed!

"Perfect place to celebrate a double 50th with a friend"

5
User 19/07/2022

Delicious food, friendly staff, a magical place for celebrating our birthdays. The bunch of flowers, chocolates and white wine on ice with two glasses waiting for us in our room on arrival made us feel pampered from the start. Relaxing in the pool and jacuzzi was exactly what we both needed to relax and reboot after an exhausting few months. And the dinner was bang on. Both the monkfish and the steak pave were gorgeous. Great breakfast too. All the magic ingredients laid on. Thank you Nailcote Hall! Heather and Aoife

"A lovely stay"

5
016dave5623, North Yorkshire, United Kingdom 19/07/2022

The location was easy to find and what a glorious first impression the view gave. Our room was large and the bed very comfortable despite the warm evening. The evening meal (for a total of 9 of us) was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone. All the staff we came upon were helpful and courteous as well s being very smartly dressed. The hotel was very busy with at least one wedding so we were told that breakfast would be buffet style which we found acceptable.

"Wonderful Ascot experience"

5
Marts87999, Warwickshire, United Kingdom 19/07/2022

We had a wonderful stay at Nailcote Hall in June. The Ascot experience was great fun and well worth the money. The food and entertainment were both very good. There was a real attention to detail. Everyone we met at the venue was very friendly and staff were both friendly and helpful. The events organiser Sue Cressman was just wonderful!!! She did a fantastic job of hosting the day and raising a lot of money for a very good cause. The room we stayed in was airy, clean and luxurious. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience and stay. Oh and breakfast was very good too. We will definitely be back.

"Let down by cleanliness of room"

3
R5413DBchloeh, Newcastle-under-Lyme, United Kingdom 18/07/2022

We booked an hour before checking in on the same day and for that reason I think we were upgraded to a suite. The room was very spacious however it lacked any attention to detail and it was so grubby. The carpets were filthy covered in stains and so were the walls. If a new carpet is too much or a stretch at least give the walls a lick of paint! None of the lamps or lights worked so we were in darkness. We were told by a member of staff that the room we were in was the bridal suite. We didn't complain for what we paid but had we paid extra for the state of the room we would not have been best pleased. There was a wedding on and the noise was extremely loud til quite late so I had a poor nights sleep. No air con so be warned in the summer! Staff were friendly, the bloke who runs the gym especially was brilliant. The grounds, pool and jacuzzi were lovely and that's why I am giving 3 stars. My advice to management would be to take a closer look at the rooms. Dirty walls and floors and no working lights especially in a suite is very poor attention to detail

"Dissapointing"

1
Lizzie P, Denbighshire, United Kingdom 15/07/2022

It could be lovely and enjoyable but it wasnt. That was not any reflection on the staff as they were polite and friendly. What was wrong was the standard of the place, cleaniness and certain amenities. The showerhead and bath was filthy so couldnt take a shower or bath. It was attention to detail that was lacking. The place needs an overhall , bit of paint and bleach here and there wouldnt go a miss. Breakfast bar in a corridor? Really?? Could be so a really lovely place.

"Take That Tribute"

5
User 12/07/2022

Group of friends had a fab night, the tribute act were amazing!! Food was mixed - the starter was delicious but the mains were average as you'd expect for mass catering. However great service both for the meal and at the bar. Didn't stay so can't comment on the hotel.

"Saturday night entertainment- Take That Tribute"

5
steph o, Coventry, United Kingdom 11/07/2022

We visited the Nailcote Hall on Saturday for the Take That tribute night. When we arrived we were served by an excellent waitress, very prompt no queues. We waited outside Rays Bar and had a drink as we were quite early. Lovely setting. We were then seated inside and served warm crusty bread, delicious! The 3 course meal served was absolutely beautiful, especially the arancini starter. While eating the dinner, the resident DJ was playing and he was fantastic. Good range of music to suit all ages, could of listened to him all night! Then Take That tribute band arrived. They were very entertaining and got the crowd up dancing. They sang lots of songs and interacted with the crowd throughout, it was great fun! Service was great from the waiters and waitresses from start to finish. Very polite, welcoming but professional. The place its self was clean and beautiful, ideal setting. We will definitely return and highly recommend the weekend events! It is a fantastic package!

"Another excellent night"

5
BrianBarb927ql, Birmingham, United Kingdom 10/07/2022

We visit Nailcote 4 or 5 times a year, mainly for a Saturday night meal and entertainment, can't speak highly enough of the staff, food, and the entertainment. Last night we were entertained by a Take That tribute band, not only were they good singers, but they got themselves interacting with the audience. The evening was excellent, very pleased to recommend Nailcote

"A beautiful Hotel in a great location with wonderful staff."

5
Steve_tourist_, Thurlton, United Kingdom 09/07/2022

We stayed at Nailcote Hall at the end of June 2022 and had a great time. We had the Mulberry suite which is in the main building, above the restaurant and has views over the lawned area. The room is very tastefully decorated in keeping with the age of the property and a very good size. It has an ensuite bathroom (shower over the bath) and again is a really good size. I can thoroughly recommend dining in the Oak restaurant at Nailcote. The food is superb and the prices good value. The staff at Nailcote though are it's great asset. So friendly, welcoming and accommodating. Nothing is too much trouble and their customer service standards are very high. For example the wine we ordered with our meal was a bit late arriving and was removed from my bill! And after our stay, my wife discovered that she'd left a pair of trousers in our room. No problem sir said Chelsea Bull at reception, 'I can get them posted back to you' They arrived back with two days! No charge to me. That is outstanding customer service and is to be celebrated. The hotel is so well located too In the countryside between Coventry and Birmingham. So handy for events etc. Our son is studying at Warwick University and this hotel is perfect for our trips up to see him. The hotel also has it own Par 3 Golf course and pool etc which we didn't use but seemed very popular. We will be back soon for sure. Thanks again to all the team for a great experience.

"Fabulous wedding!"

5
TAS100, Birmingham, United Kingdom 06/07/2022

We got married at Nailcote at the end of April 2022. It was perfect! Michelle and Mark were exceptional, and looked after us every step of the way. The room was beautiful, food was fab and we couldn't have asked for more. Thank you Nailcote, you did us proud! We received an afternoon tea as a wedding gift and we are looking forward to returning soon.

"First Class all the Way"

User 04/07/2022

We attended a Strictly Christmas Special event in aid of Zoe's Place Baby Hospice, which is a local Children's Charity here in Coventry organised at this beautiful hotel. The ambience and elegance of the Marquee dressed for this special evening was astounding, the scene was set for a fabulous evening of entertainment, fund raising and great company. The food was so delicious and tasty, catering for 200 or so guests was effortless, the quality and standards were outstanding where nothing was too much trouble and the staff were courteous and professional. Well Done to Team Nailcote for a truly amazing Fundraising event! Looking forward to the next one!!

"Fabulous 40th Birthday Party"

From my first visit to this amazing property I have been truly in oar of the fabulous team who work tirelessly to make every guest feel at home, from the welcome smile to the excellent service, nothing is too much, so I chose to celebrate my 40th Birthday. My family, friends and I had an amazing weekend, our accommodation was spacious complimented with the leisure facilities, the food was FAB-U-LOUS, I have eaten at many famous establishments and the offerings were on par with the best! We will be back.

What a fantastic place, I was in a group of a out 20 people there to play golf at the best par 3 course I have ever seen with an overnight stay and a meal. The hotel was absolutely 1st class my room was spacious and very clean, it had a 4 poster bed and pretty much everything you need for a comfortable stay. The staff were amazing the food was very good both the evening meal and breakfast were excellent. I thoroughly recommend this place they get everything just right.

Having been a visitor for many years, the hotel seems to improved since my last trip in 2021. The room was clean and tidy and the staff friendly. Prices for food and drink have increased, but it has in many places. The quality of the restaurant food was good, but not yet to the pre-pandemic standard. Perhaps because it was so busy? Dog friendly.

"Disappointing "

Dated rooms. Stains on the floor and room had not been cleaned. Used coffee cups in the room on arrival. Mentioned to staff to give them the chance to rectify , but it took four trips to reception to solve this. Service is poor, staff in need of training. Breakfast is substandard. After one off business with no desire to provide the guest with a good experience as they know the majority of people are staying for weddings/business trips. Great setting and building real shame about the rest.

This is a beatufil location and we stayed in the room with four poster bed, which was just sumptuous!. We had evening meal and breakfast, both of which were delicious(pave of steak and pork belly), with fantastic service. Bar staff (Carol and tom(?)) were great too!. Will definitely stay here again and no hesitation in recommending it to all!.

"Fantastic staff, great hotel"

Staff were fantastic, really helpful, friendly and excellent customer service. The hotel itself is nice, typical of an old building it could do with a lick of paint, few marks on the walls and carpets but otherwise clean and comfortable. The pool is lovely, the floats and pool noodles for guest use are a really nice touch, not overly chlorinated which was great. Breakfast and dinner in the restaurant really tasty, enough of a selection to please most people and happy to cater to requests. I stayed for 5 nights, originally only booked 2 but needed to stay longer and the staff were very accommodating and gave me the best rate. Would stay again.

We recently booked a table for 2 for dinner in the Oak room at Nailcote Hall. The service and attention from the staff was exemplary and the food was even better. The menu was varied and very reasonably priced. The presentation of all the courses was first class and they were so flavoursome. An excellent dining experience, which we will repeat very soon

"Lovely Hotel in a Beautiful Setting"

We stayed in this hotel as a base as we were visiting the NEC. The hotel is old and charming with lots of character and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was in the annex and unfortunately did not live up to the standard of an executive double which I had booked and also the decor and furnishings require a little TLC. We only ate breakfast at the hotel which was very good. Overall we had a very pleasant stay and would return.

"My daughter's wedding"

My daughter and her future husband looked at many hotels for their wedding venue in pre COVID days. They chose Nailcote, then the world came to a standstill due to the pandemic. 2years later we finally got to celebrate Stephanie and Pete's wedding. It was a fabulous day despite the rain. The venue was beautifully decorated as per their request. Both the ceremony area and the party area looked wonderful. The staff were very polite and worked well as a team. The whole event was very much enjoyed by all the attendees. Most importantly Stephanie and Pete said they had the wedding they had really wanted. Massive thanks to all the staff at Nailcote Hall.

I stayed for a night for my husband's birthday and had a number of special requests which the staff were more than happy to sort out for me. Thank you for the great service and for making our trip extra special!
