« Best place I've stayed in a long time »

I have to admit I haven't stayed at a BW in many years. After staying in Antioch I will definitely add BW to my list while searching for accommodations. This hotel put HI, Hilton Brands and everyone else in the dust as far as quality and cleanliness. Staff was helpful, breakfast was adequate and I walked each evening to one of the area diners, if you want it you can walk to it. Definitely will stay here again

« Can't wait to make it back soon »

When in the area (and even sometimes when I'm not) I try to make it to this hotel to end my day... I'm always greated as an old friend, or family and "my room" is always available! Great rates, clean/comfy rooms, great bath products and good drinks in the bar! Can't wait to come back soon!

    « Above and beyond »

I don't expect much when I stay in a Hotel, but this Hotel staff was the best I have ever encountered. If service means anything to you, then this is the place you want to go to. I have never experienced so many different walks of life willing to above and beyond.

« Enjoyed every minute of our stay »

We enjoyed every minute of our stay. Nice homey lobby with a beautiful fireplace and comfortable furnishings. This hotel offers all the amenities. Complimentary breakfast, well equipped business center, indoor heated pool, fitness center, bar, gaming room, laundry, and sundry shop. Every staff member we encountered was very nice and accommodating. We had to change rooms on the first night due to a plumbing issue. The male desk clerk changed our room very efficiently and with a smile. The room was exceptionally clean. The beds were very comfortable.

    « Very nice »

Very nice hotel. Newly remodeled. Beautiful and spotless. The beds were extra comfy. The room and the bathroom looked like there was special time and effort put in to make the room look perfect. Very friendly, helpful staff. Will be returning soon.

    « A plus! »

We choose this property even though is was farther from our destination due to the positive reviews and the negative reviews of other properties. It was worth the extra 15 mile drive. It is very clean, quiet, with comfortable rooms, nice soaps and a great breakfast. Front staff very friendly and accommodating. Drive a little further and you will be happy!

    « Winter Wonderland Weekend »

This was a weekend getaway, a first time experience in Antioch. We were looking for snowtubing not really far and found this nice little getaway. After doing my research and reviews I selected the Best Western Plus. This hotel totally met our expectations and the staff was amazing, especially Trish from check-in until checkout, she had to pull a double shift and she said we made it enjoyable. The hotel is centrally located to everything you may need, close to the slopes, downtown Antioch and the Outlet Mall in Pleasant Prairie. The rooms were spacious, complimentary hot breakfast, free wi-fi, parking and a pool everything you need!!! Planning my upcoming weekend again.

    « Excellent »

Room was clean and spacious. More than what we needed for one night. We are smokers and they had plenty of outdoor space for us. Great breakfast with a lot of selections. No B's and G's , but I can live with that. Highly recommended.

« Better Than it Has to Be »

I just spent one night at the BW in Antioch. I stay in approximately 250 different hotels each year (4-5) per week and I am a Platinum Premier member with Marriott and Diamond with Hilton. So I know a little about quality hotels. The Best Western is really the only hotel in Antioch, but they still maintain high standards. The hotel is on highway 173, which is the main road off the Interstate 94 that runs from Chicago to Milwaukee. The hotel is easy to locate and they offer free parking. Next to the hotel is a Subway and Chinese and Pizza restaurant. In addition, 1/2 mile away there are several more restaurants. The hotel has a bar with some bar food and there is even a gaming room. There is also an outside area with a fire pit for those that wish to smoke and enjoy a drink and conversation. The hotel is a very nice building and is well maintained. The employees at the hotel are friendly and will go out of their way to offer suggestions for eating and directions. The hotel offers a free breakfast that is equal to any Marriott or Hilton Executive lounge. The hotel offers standard rooms and suites. I had a room overlooking a lake. However, the windows were so dirty you really could not get a clear view of the lake. Furnishings in room is more than adequate and the bed and pillows were comfortable. The bath room is spacious and clean. My only complaints would be 1.) windows are dirty and 2). the shower head is really high. In fact, I am 5'8" and I could not reach the shower head to adjust it to the middle of the tub. With limited competition in town, this hotel is better than it has to be. I would highly recommend this as a place for family or business travelers.

    « Clean and Comfortable »

We had a wonderful experience at this hotel! The staff was friendly and helpful. The property was well maintained and clean. The pool water was comfortably warm, and the hot tub was very nice. I was surprised to find that the pool area has large sliding glass doors that open onto a sun deck complete with chairs to catch some rays! The breakfast was fantastic! It included a variety of items to satisfy whatever you might be craving. We went to Fox's Lounge for a drink on Saturday night. The bartender was welcoming and personable. I would definitely recommend this hotel!

    « Good Choice »

Property clean, convenient, and comfortable. Service without a hitch. The pool area was fantastic. Breakfast was typical fare; well stocked and hot food actually hot. The bed was extremely comfortable but bathroom a little small. We will return.

    « Damp Room... »

Dampness is not something you typically notice about a hotel room, right? We were visiting during an extremely hot and humid weekend in July for a wedding, and we were getting ready for the reception in our room. We had the air conditioner going on full to have the room cool, but the air was still so humid that our hairstyles immediately fell apart after heat styling. After returning from the reception, we noticed immediatley that everything in the room was actually damp. The sheets, our clothes, the pillows and towels felt WET to the touch. It was actually fascinating to damp everything was; however, it was really uncomfortable to sleep in... The beds, however, were really comfortable-- and I mention that because it was something I noticed amidst the dampness. Other accomodations in the room were standard to a Best Western, or any midrange hotel. Breakfast was also good, standard. The staff was really great with restocking the hot items and desserts.

« Convenient, nice place, with lake view »

Very nice place, convenient to fox river/chain of lakes area. Very good breakfast, friendly staff. Just a few miles west of I-94 at intersection of Routes 173 & 83, a little east of Route 59. Good restaurants around the Antioch / Fox Lake / Pleasant Prairie (WI) area, including El Puerto Mexican Restaurant in Fox Lake and the Brat Stop in Pleasant Prairie. Have stayed here probably a dozen times in the last year for business.

« Great Place to Stay during Country Thunder »

I enjoyed stating at the Best Western in Antioch. It was not too far from Country Thunder and conveniently located to a Wal Mart and restaurants. The staff was friendly when I checked in and was also accomodating for me when I needed some more time to check out. Parking was not an issue for me thank goodness.

« not a good choice for getting together as family »

Our family was getting together at a nearby relative's, so we reserved several rooms for out-of-town guests. Because our five-day stay apparently coincided with a Country Thunder Festival in the area, prices for the rooms were exceedingly high, but we bit the bullet and paid those prices, knowing it was the best way for us to be able to get together in the evenings for some Scrabble, cards, or other games while we visited our relatives from across the country. We have done this in other hotels in other years; we simply use a couple of tables in their breakfast areas (which are, of course, empty except during the breakfast hours). We are not rowdy, we leave no mess; we just sit at the tables and chat and play. So, imagine our shock when we were told at this hotel that yes, we were welcome to use some tables and chairs there --- for a rental fee of $300 each night! Are you KIDDING???

    « Beautiful Lakefront Suite »

Beds are amaaaaazzzing! This suite was well priced through AAA and the hotel was very clean. The toiletries were upgraded and did I mention the beds : ) Best nights sleep in a long time. Trish at the front desk was super-helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. The view of the lakefront was spectacular!

    « A pleasant surprise »

This Best Western PLUS was new, clean, and comfortable. Staff was great; lot's of amenities a traveler would need in the vicinity. I now understand that the PLUS makes a difference in the Best Western chain.

    « Lil chi town »

Yes that's what they call Antioch lil chi town great area to get to know people as well as the "chain hook up" the lakes with miles of good fun with friends and family. this historic chain-o-lakes offers boat races, water sports and great food and splashes of fun. This area has sports bars that are family friendly and the greatest party on the water with the port of Blarneys island, the cove, Captains Quarters, famous other places like Mineola resort. The Best Western has a great hotel conveniently centered in the town of Antioch lots of food places to walk and historical downtown offers cultural events all year long. just a quick hour from Chicago the great secret get away.

    « Good Quality hotel »

We stay here when visiting "home" and always like the stay. There has been some renovation in the rooms and the TV situation is being addressed. Aside from the non-hi-def TV during this last stay, it's always enjoyable. In my opinion, the price is a little high, but it is the only hotel in the vicinity that we need. They don't skimp on the free breakfast. There is something for everyone and always fresh.

    « Recommend »

Hotel was extremely clean and very well maintained. We would highly recommend. Above average for a Best Western. We were very satisfied since we were traveling in to Wisconsin and was extremely convenient for us to just spend the night.

    « 3 star hotel with a 4 star feel »

Clean room and a good breakfast with lots of options. Love that they remove and clean the shower curtains between guests and that the shower head was so tall. My 6'6" husband could fit with room to spare.

« A very welcoming property, enjoyed many of the amenities »

Had to travel to help care for a family member and after staying at the Executive previously, wanted to try a different location. It was a day and night difference. The Best Western Plus looked brand new and very welcoming. The pantry area was well stocked, the lobby comfy with a nice offering of some fruit to grab and go. While walking to the elevators, noticed the beautiful pool and hot tub area with waterfall/fountain. After getting situated in our room (which was very clean and well appointed), we ventured to the main floor again and discovered a beautiful patio area with tables, chairs and a fireplace, which was great on a chilly night. Will definitely make this a regular go-to off season. Summer rates are high due to all the local attractions. Rickey & Trish were both very friendly and represented what all hotel staff should aspire to be.

    « Hidden Joy »

The hotel seemed like new. Beautiful pool with waterfall. Hot tub was very used over the weekend and needed to be cleaned was the only problem. We were there on a Sunday Night...I am sure it was getting cleaned the next morning based on the condition of the entire hotel. Great Breakfast. We will go back for sure.

« Great Hotel for location »

This hotel was excellent. We stayed only one night for our daughters wedding, but would have stayed more if needed. Very clean, nicely decorated rooms and friendly staff. The bar stayed open for us so we were able to go there with the wedding party after the reception. Thanks to the hotel bar it was a nice ending to a great wedding.

« Convenient, nice place, with lake view »

Very convenient for business stay in the chain of lakes region, with a view of one lake across the road. Convenient to Antioch, Fox Lake. Comfortable bed, good breakfast. McDonalds, Subway, and pizza in strip mall next door. Drive a couple miles for something better to eat, including El Puerto Mexican Restaurant with patio and boat docks overlooking Fox Lake.

    « Clean / friendly / accomodating »

stayed for a week for business and my family visited during the weekend. Super clean, great service, better than expected breakfast. Comfortable beds, and good pillows!!! Good location for local restaurants. They also have a quaint little bar for adults only.

    « Good hotel »

Check in was smooth, room was clean and comfortable. I stayed overnight for work. The only problem was I had to be at work BEFORE breakfast was being served. I did how ever get some fruit and coffee to go with me. The women setting up breakfast apologized for not being able to provide me with more food. There was pastries, but, I am Gluten free and so I could not enjoy them. Overall good stay and I would stay there again.

« Nice hotel and location »

Very nice hotel, disappointed that the pool was under maintenance, but we knew that ahead of time. It looks like a very nice pool. It has a waterfall on one end, which is nice. The worker at the desk was not very friendly, he told us about the wifi/rooms very fast like a mundane speech that I couldn't understand him and needed him to repeat it slower. Didn't seem to smile. Our room was facing the swimming pool on the second floor (however I did request a 3rd floor, but for some reason, did not get it; it was not a full hotel). Otherwise, all was very nice. Will come back again.

« Average hotel w/ no pool towels... »

Overall the rooms are pretty clean, nice, average... seemed to be updated decor. An average stay/hotel... not bad. With that said, felt the need to point out that most hotels with pools (indoor or outdoor) always have pool towels. There will usually be a card in your room to notify you that the pool has towels. However, this hotel has a location for pool towels, and even the location to dispose the used pool towels when you're done. For some reason, they simply do not provide pool towels at the pool. (although the station for towels sits there empty) It's unfortunate if you make the mistake of jumping in the pool and then have no towel to dry off. I guess you have to be inconvenienced by going to the front desk, in which they will only give you 1 towel. We have 4 guests in our room. The front desk informed us that it is their policy not to put the towels out by the pool area any more due to a new law.?? (seems like a lie) Also, made us feel like she was doing us a favor by giving us 4 towels instead of the limited 2. Aren't you allowed up to 4 guests in a room??? This made no sense. It was obvious that they must have had an issue with towels (stolen, ruined, who knows) and now they police the pool towels.? This not only is an inconvenience, but seems classless and non customer service oriented, especially to tell and outrageous lie as to why they no longer put out the pool towels in the pool area. I travel and stay at hotels frequently and had never heard of such policy/policing... and to be so inconvenienced as to going to the front desk AFTER you enter the pool??? I felt the need to somehow get the word out there, especially to the Best Western District Manager, that this is simply wrong, and poor customer service. We will be taking our business down the street to the Holiday Inn. Thank you and good luck with that "new law".

« Excellent service near Wilmont Mountain »

Group of ladies selected this hotel for a weekend visit to Wilmont mountain about 25 minutes away. Both gentlemen (Anthony and ?) who worked the front desk during our stay were great! The bartender in fox's was friendly as well. We had the presidential suite and it was spacious with a bedroom, living room, dining room, kitchenette and bathroom with a massive 2 person hot tub. Everything was clean and well kept. Right next to fast food and a Chinese place. Pool was nice and front desk had towels. Would absolutely recommend this place.

« Rude staff & kept PREPAID room charge we never used! »

My husband and I made plans to meet friends, and enjoy a romantic Valentine's day. We made, and PREPAID a reservation through a third-party vendor. When we arrived to check in, I was told we needed a credit card or cash for "incidentals". I had neither :( -- and was curious, since the room had been PREPAID. I offered a check, ( we live 50 miles away) and was told "no". When I asked what incidentals were, I was told it was for room damage?!? I doubt we are a big threat (my husband and I are both 50+). A woman stating she was the owner, was rude, incredibly inflexible, and purposefully difficult. I went back out to our vehicle where my husband and friends were waiting. My husband offered me his debit card. I returned to the front desk to again attempt to check in. The woman then stated she needed proof of the identify of the debit card (even though our names are the same). Seriously -- there was no pleasing this woman :( I summoned my husband - who got out of the car and came to the front desk where she began scolding him about how he shouldn't have booked the room if he couldn't provide ID, etc. Needless to say my husband used the word "damn" to which she responded "I refuse to provide you a room" and "I don't have to check you in", etc. . . . " Now, the hotel is refusing to return our PREPAID, UNUSED room charge,

« Very nice! Would come back again! »

This hotel was one of the best that we stayed at. It was clean and the interior was very nice. It was kids friendly and the free breakfast was a great option. We rented a room over the New Year's weekend, it was very close to the Wilmot Mountain. The had a very good experience here and we would come back again.

    « Very Clean. »

I've stayed here a couple of times. Nice little bar. Everything was tastefully decorated. The rooms were a good size, and the beds were comfortable. In this area it is the only modern place to stay in town.

    « Very clean »

I was very impressed at how clean this hotel was. I am a professional traveler and in the last 6 months I have stayed in 8 hotels from seattle to milwaukee to tampa for pleasure and business. This was hands down the cleanest place I have been in. Bravo to the housekeeping.

    « Perfect »

I have stayed at this hotel about 5 times in the last year. Very clean inside and out. The beds are very comfortable. I do wish they would switch their breakfast menu once in awhile. It's always scrambled eggs with sausage links and potato chunks. I will be back again.

    « Comfortable Stay »

Hotel overall appearance was nice. Hotel lobby and Eating areas were very clean and nicely decorated. Staff were very friendly, professional and helpful. Rooms could be kept up and cleaner. Overall stay was comfortable.

« Was so amazed how clean and friendly staff was............. »

It's so very clean and I travel alot and this place is on my #1place and the pool erea/hot tub and suit was so clean and smelt so clean, breakfast was a good breakfast to start your day-I would recamend this place for a nite or a couple day's,and prices are not very expensive...... Staff was so POLITE and FRINDLY -Alway's a Smile on there faces.... THUMBS UP !!!!!!!!!!!

    « Very Nice Hotel »

This is a very nice hotel but not in a great location. Price we paid was a little high for this room in this location but the hotel was good overall. The room was clean and the staff were friendly. Internet access was reasonably fast and reliable during our stay. Desk chair was not great. If you leaned back just a little, the chair almost fell over. No adjustment on the chair fixed this problem. Breakfast looked very nice with a variety of offering. Only complaint was egg, bacon, cheese scramble was cold. It tasted good but we had to reheat it in the microwave because it did not seem like the heating unit was keeping the eggs warm at all. We have family in this area and hotel options were limited unless we drove a fair distance. Would consider staying again, if in this area again.

    « wonderful time »

we stayed at the Best Western in Antiooch Illinois and had a wonderful experience. The staff was wonderful, very accomodating. The pool and hot tub were alot of fun, the kids played for many hours. The breakfast was delicious. The beds were very comfortable. Overall it was a wonderful time. We will be back.

    « Awesome »

Great place to stay. Staff very nice. Bed was So Nice! Only negative was TV reception was 60's quality. Was told a contract issue, so should be corrected in future. Hot tub was awesome. Very clean, good parking, good location.

    « comfortable stay »

Hotel staff was helpful and hotel was very clean and organized. Only drawback was TV was on an analog signal so picture was not that good. Of course the cable company probably went all digital which would require boxes in every room?? costly!

« Cute city, nice hotel »

Hotel was clean, we had some issues with our reservation, but they were quickly resolved. Great hot breakfast, nice pool/fitness center/ lounge. Antioch is a fun town to poke around, and this hotel is just around the corner from the shopping district.

« great experience to be had »

cant say enough about how great the stay was the staff was fantastic room and bed does not get any better we in single king room breakfast every morning was different selections and always warm and fresh

    « Surpassed Expectations »

We were attending a family event in a nearby town. Our family had recommended a National Resort in another city but it was about an additional 15 minute drive. We settled on the BW because of proximity and rate. Very surprised as to quality of entire stay. We are loyal Marriott customers, this surpassed most Courtyards we stay at.

    « Awesome »

This place was great! We stayed with another couple. Spent time in the beautiful whirlpool and pool. Can't say enough good about this Best Western. Loved the outdoor patio with the fireplace. Only drawback was no Big Ten network so we couldn't watch the football game there. Highly recommend this place!

« Best Western Antioch, IL »

Always a pleasure to stay at this Hotel. The pool & Jacuzzi area is one reason we come here. It is always extremely clean & maintained. And pool hours are early AM to midnight so we are able to enjoy the pool during our short stay. Breakfast is also a wonderful experience.

« One of the best BW we've stayed at! »

The only complaint we had about our stay was the noise from kids running up and down the hallway and slamming room doors. This went on for about an hour before my husband and I decided to lodge a complaint with the front desk. The young man who answered the phone was very apologetic and ensured us that he would warn the family to keep it down. He also offered for us to move to another room which of course we declined since that was inconvenient. The noise ceased after our call. Otherwise, this hotel was exceptionally clean and well maintained. You can tell the staff takes pride in their respective jobs. The breakfast was satisfactory with many options of common breakfast foods, but the young woman who maintained the counters was very attentive. The hot items were hot and fresh and the cold items were appropriately chilled. I would definitely stay here again, as the staff cannot control who books rooms, but they did follow through when a problem arose.

    « Great stay »

We had a family reunion at the hotel. Front desk personal were very pleasant and explained the various features of the hotel. Every room has a microwave and a refrigerator. The room was very clean and nice decor. The bathroom had a nightlight, which I really liked. A breakfast was included in the room fee. Very good and a nice variety. I would return to this hotel again!

« Wonderful Accommodations and Staff »

This property definitely lives up to the Best Western Plus name. Nice, clean, odorless room, comfy beds, fitness center was clean, internet was easy to log on to, the staff accommodated us with anything we needed or wanted.

    « Awesomeness »

I came to visit a close friend and they made my stay super awesome! The Best Western felt just like home. The room I stayed in was exactly as expected. The condition of the room was excellent. The breakfast was delicious. The accommodations in the room were perfect. Finally the amenities like the pool and gym were exactly what I expected.

    « Comfort and Pleasure »

No hotels within 15 miles of Antioch, Ill but this having no competition went out of its way to please It maintains the highest quality of upkeep and service. We found satisfaction as a small group. I STAYED AT THIS HOTEL 5 YEARS AGO AND FOUND IMPROVEMENTS HAD BEEN MADE TO MAKE IT WHAT IT IS NOW.

    « Outstaning Value »

I have stayed at many Best Western hotels with over 184000 loyalty points and I must say that this is one of the Best I have ever experienced. Staff is vert friendly and helpful, food service and quality is very good. Location is great.
