Best Western Westgate Inn

Family trip was ruined and unfortunately was ended sooner than expected due to lack of sleep. Bathroom was dirty. Moved shortly thereafter but an inconvenience in having to switch rooms. However the next room smelled worse than the first and the heater did not work. So the children and I were freezing through the night. Staff was very unwelcoming and rushed us out of eating lounge and out of our rooms for checkout two hrs before required time.

The check in was easy in between games. The room was perfect. The lounge let us catch up with teammates. The staff was friendly. The location was perfect and had lots of stores near by in case you forgot something. We didn't have to wait for elevator but also stairs were convenient

Floors in room were very dirty! TV did not work even after telling the front desk. Breakfast was limited choices. The outside of the building smelled like cigarette smoke and there was a lot of broken glass in the parking lot.

Had to use a white wash cloth to wipe up obvious dirt spots on tile floor. The more I wiped the darker brown the rag. It was obvious that they only use a dust mop and don't use cleaners on the tile floors. Reported problem to front desk and person barely had any response. Tried to show me 2 other rooms but floors were both visibly just as bad. Friend's room was just as dirty. Traveled with a tournament group and another family had obviously dirty towels folded up as new - they were smeared in makeup. Do not stay here! Filthy!

The smell was awful. When you walked in, the lobby was masked with a strong fabreez which gave you an instant headache. After you got past that the hallways smell sour which then carried over into your room. The staff ( manager) there was extremely rude. Our travel team will never stay there again.

Enjoyed the Jacuzzi Suite on New Year's Eve. It is a nice room, and fairly quiet location, but a little tricky getting in and out. The parking lot needs a little work. Wish the breakfast was available later than 9am on a weekend stay.

The ownership and staff seem to appreciate positive feedback. I don't like to complain so I try to be positive about anything I encounter and they respond well accordingly. Everyone there is helpful kind and courteous. The rooms are quite clean . The breakfast is quite suitable for young and old.

We have been staying here for over 10 years twice a year for the TCA train show at York Hotel is 2 minutes from the Fair Grounds, plenty of Restaurants nearby and stores. Good breakfast, rooms clean and everything working. Great Staff. we will be back

If you have to be in York, PA and want to walk to Quaker Stake, this is good option. Might be better values a little further out. This place has old a/c units even after renovation that are loud and run all night.

Walked into a familiar location and was greeted by an unfamiliar situation. The first floor was under renovation, understandable. What was not was the condition of the 2nd floor with wide areas of mold being painted over as I walked to my room. After driving from Jersey, I went next door grabbed some food while looking for backup plans. I checked out about an hour later and was informed that I was unable to receive a refund because I booked at a discounted rate, from bestwestern.com. was informed the manager would be in in the morning and that I could speak to him then. Manager was not present around 9 when I arrived, or 3 when I returned later that afternoon. I asked the gentleman at the front desk to please have the manager reach out on Monday. Have yet to hear anything, needless to say I will not be returning and I will be sharing the video of my walk to my room with the public since Best Western seems to not care about the situation

Close to where I needed to be. Hotel under renovation and it was not noted on the website. Clean room. No USB charging stations. Close to several restaurants. About 10 minutes from Walmart, CVS, and a hospital if needed.

Breakfast attendent used same gloves to touch food, supplies, all the while coughing and hacking up phlegm. Never cchanged the gloves, even when sppraying and wiping downtables. Told front desk and they asked her to put on a blue thin mask which she wore on her chin. Given the deep respiratory congestion, she should not have been working, or at the very least, should have been required to put on a KN-95 or N-95 Mask.Management is from India, Pakistan, Asia and may not respect public health standards or courtesy of helping keep others safe.

If you like to party late at night and be loud and obnoxious, this hotel is for you! Got back to the hotel at 10:45 pm. Exhausted 12 year old could not fall asleep for an hour due to the noise. Adults and teens being super loud in the lobby and breakfast area (very close to check in desk). The party got portal up and down the hallway with people being super loud, laughing and having a great time until 1:30 AM!!! Front desk staff was definitely aware of the situation since it was right in front of them and did nothing!!! Next morning at checkout I asked the front desk staff about what happened and was told that manager was trying to call the parents of teens to ask them to be quiet. Any decent hotel would ask the guests to be quiet and if they didn't, would just kick unruly guests out and not let it go on until 1:30! Asked for manager to call me... still waiting. Probably more chances of hell freezing over before I get a call back. Breakfast wasn't good, we ended up going yo a diner instead and had a great breakfast there. Chairs in the breakfast area are stained and looked dirty. Do not stay there! Spend a little more and stay at a decent place. We booked it because we had a busy weekend and just needed a place to sleep and get ready. Lesson learned! Next time will spend more to have a better experience

My friend and I were traveling from Gettysburg to the Sight & Sound show in Lancaster, so this was a great location to stay overnight. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was in a quiet location and we got a good night's sleep. I think they are in the process of remodeling, but it was fine for overnight.

Staying again at BW, which is close to the expo center. Always a good clean room, good breakfast and good price. Very good sower head, CC worked. Everything worked from A to Z. Already booked for the October show.

This weary old hotel is getting a much needed facelift. That wasn't mentioned when we made our reservation however. The noise was terrible. When the project is complete, it will probably be fine. There are other, better options.

The hotel is close to a many restaurants, shopping and the York Fairgrounds. The breakfast area is always being cleaned and there is a variety of food for everyone. I will always be staying here on all future trips to the York area.

I needed a safe quiet place to regroup and relax as I was traveling alone and was doing a lot of stressful, physical work during the day. This hotel fit the bill. Plus they had a very nice breakfast and very friendly, helpful staff.

Hoped they were not roaches. Shocked had to kill bugs. We were on 2nd floor. Friendly desk staff. Disappointed how they jack up price for future stay 6 months out because it was an event. Took away any discount and instead gave group rate which was $50 more each night

Best Western at it's best. It's nice to see that this location has brought back the reputation of Best Western that we expect and haven't seen in a while. We know things have been tough but a blessing to see you turn things around. Thank you

I think is the work Best western of my experience, at front desk a man without capability to solve problems, the manager arrogantly asked for extra money even though I had a voucher paid. The room with the carpet was sticky and smelly. I don't think they deserve the sign best western this is fitting for worst western. please avoid to go.

Don't believe the negative reviews. I found the service to be very friendly for both check in and check out. I found the suite to be large, bright and clean. Bath adequate and daily housekeeping. King bed mattress soft. Sofa was stiff. Could have used a recliner. Breakfast room is large and bright, food is sufficient and somewhat appealing. Hotel is within walking distance to restaurants and shopping center. About a 1/2 hour ride to Gettysburg, less than that to Lancaster.

Everyone nice at check in. Room is about average for price. No frills. Seems clean. Beds need new mattresses because they sag in middle. Worse thing is only the sheers on the windows close NOT the drapes so early morning sun will wake you up or afternoon sun makes room hot. Has strange smell in the rooms and the hotel. Do hear lots of road noise but just keep fan on will help. Breakfast fair but think weekend hours should be later than 9. Again average for a value hotel.

This hotel is disgusting. I found a roach in the shower, the air conditioner didn't work properly and the noise from adjoining rooms was deafening. The hotel management refused to do anything about it. Paying close to $200 for this type of establishment is a rip off. They should be reported to the health officials.

Front desk staff are not helpful. They're more concerned with passing the buck than helping guests. There was a language barrier which I feel was partially an act. I had to ask to talk to someone else because my concerns with faulty items were brushed off. There was one person who was helpful.

We stay at BW York hotel twice a year for the TCA train meet. Have been here for well over 10 years. The hotel is closest to the Fair Grounds. Just minutes away. Clean, good breakfast, nice rooms and good shower. Many of our friends and business associates stay here as well as TCA members.

Can we just say disaster. Was not impressed and made it known and was told "sorry". Broken fridge that took all day to get swapped out even though I asked to get fixed when we were out. Super noisy. Power went out.

This was my first stay at a Best Western and I can tell you it will be my last. Realized in the evening of my one night stay that the bathroom was dirty (hair all over the floor and in the bathtub), although hard to tell b/c the room lighting wasn't great and the floor was old and dark. When my daughter dropped the soap on the floor and picked it up I gagged. Room also had an unpleasant smell. After brining it to the managers attention the next morning after checkout, he told me it was my fault for not brining it to his attention sooner, raised his voice and talked over me. He schooled my on what I was supposed to do. I travel for work and I will never stay at a BW hotel again b/c of my experience with this man.

The management is trying and slowly succeeding to get back on tract. The woman manager is very interested in improving the quality of this establishment. The staff has a good attitude and are very accommodating

I was impressed with the cleanliness of the room and common areas. There seem to be some plumbing issues (our bathtub did not drain very well), but the bathroom was very clean. Simple rooms, convenient location, good price.

Needed a location to stay overnight before a family event. This was the only Best Western in the area. Was able to use points. Convenient location, easy check-in, comfortable beds, well functioning heater and water pressure. Many restaurant choices nearby (good for my gluten sensitive diet) including two providing discounts for hotel guests. Limited gluten free breakfast items. I'd stay here again if in the area.

The atmosphere was great. The breakfast is good as usual. Overall this was the best trip I've had where the hotel was clean, staff was friendly, and the breakfast served was excellent. Over all a great experience!

After checking out of a horrible hotel the day before, on a business trip, I wanted to be pampered. Jacuzzi suite it is then. The room was very enticing. The jacuzzi filled up fast with hot water, and the only complaint I could have was no jets aimed at the back and lower back. The room felt like a small apartment. Hell, a place like that would go for$3,000 - $5,000 a month in Manhattan NY. The breakfast was decent. One could have both waffles and pancakes, boiled eggs, some sort of egg patty and the usual breads and baked goods. The property is easily accessible and visually pleasing.

Great location. Near a lot of things. Pleasant staff. Decent breakfast. Worth it for the money. Comfy beds. Would stay again. Water stays hot!! Downside; walls are super thin, able to hear people talk and when people use the shower u can hear it through the walls.

We have been staying at the BW in York for the last 15 years, in Oct. & April for the TCA train meet. ITs near the fair grounds where the meet is held, plenty of rest. & food places in the area. room are big, clean & comfortable. Breakfast room is very nice and good selection of food

Everything about our room was amazing. We stayed in the King jacuzzi suite and it was just wonderful. The bed was so comfortable and the room was very cozy. Probably the best experience I have had, as far as hotels go. Highly recommend this room.

The outside of the hotel looks new but the room was very outdated. The shower leaked and never got warm. The worst offense was we had the “Do not disturb” sign on the door but when we arrived back to the room at night our used towels were gone and new ones had been added.

The folks that work there are very friendly. Especially Nina at the front desk. She works hard to make sure u have a pleasant stay. Good breakfast also. The parking gets a little tight when there are tractor trailers in the lot or if there is a car show going on at the York expo center.

I began my stay at the Best Western Westgate Inn back in July. I have to say, I really enjoyed my stay there. The staff was extremely helpful and attentive. Any issue I had, which were very few, were resolved within minutes with no problem. The rooms were very clean and spacious. The gym is an added bonus in my opinion. The location is literally minutes from everything in town. I normally don't write reviews for anything, but, in this case I made an exception because of how much I liked my stay at the Best Western Westgate Inn. When you stop by make sure to say hi to Nina and Karan. 2 of the nicest people you will ever meet.

The service and accomodations exceeded our expectations. The room was very clean, our room was spacious, and staff was courteous.The desk representatives gave us restaurant information that included a discount on our meals. They assisted me on how to find the closest Dairy Queen because I love twisted cones.

The location to this hotel was great, within walking distance to a Starbuck and a Quaker Steak and Lube. However, the exterior of the hotel is dated. Numerous people hanging out both outside in the parking lot, by the stairs to the entrance, and inside the lobby. The lobby was clean and attractive. The front desk was easily accessible and the staff were friendly, courteous and respectful. However, the room I had was less than ideal. First, the door handle kept getting jammed every time I inserted the key card and took me several tries to open. The room looked quite clean, however, upon closer inspection, there were numerous stains on the sheets, the blankets, and the curtains. Blood? Lipstick? Chocolate? I don't know, and I probably wouldn't like to know. The window was dirty and smeary. There were stains on the carpets and on the chairs. As a precaution, I brought a bottle of Lyson with me and sprayed everything down. Other than that, my experience was just ok. It was one of the cheapest options for that area, and at the time it was all I could afford. I probably wouldn't stay here again if I were in the area in the future. Like I said, you do get what you pay for. I hope this hotel can make some improvements.

Service was great. Fast check-in and fast check-out. Room was great. I felt the TV could have been larger but everything else was perfect. Breakfast was great had lots to choose from and was delicious.

hotel is good clean. Enjoyed breakfast. Rooms were little old and i see they are working in fitness center. They promised that the fitness room will be ready by end of the week. If there was a pool it will be a best thing

Great location for car show at York Expo Center. Staff were friendly and front desk staff member was very helpful at check in. . Love the restaurant next door, fun place within walking distance. No frills, but good value. We always stay here for York car events.

they will say you smoked in your room and keep any deposit you placed. They went up and supposedly took pictures of ashes ut the pics were of a different room. They then argued with me repeatedly calling me a liar

There was water on the carpet next to the air conditioner, looked like water had impacted the wall because the wall paper was 'bubbling up" next to the air conditioner. The internet was slow. There was a mouse in the eating area.

We didn't feel unsafe while we were there. We didn't see any sketchy characters or encounter anything scary or unsettling. The front desk clerk was professional, friendly and helpful. There definitely was a musty & smoky odor all throughout the premises though. It was most noticeable in the guest room. This location is in desperate need of a remodel. We stayed in a King suite with a large jetted tub. The tub was nice, but it was old and worn. Pieces of the jets broke off and floated to the top of the water when filling the tub. I hadn't even touched them. The jets worked fine even without those parts, and I could reattach them after the tub drained. The breakfast was disappointing. We arrived 30 minutes before it ended, and there wasn't much left by that time. I feel we paid too much for the stay based on our average experience. It wasn't as nice as other Best Western properties we've visited in the past.

Husband and I truly enjoyed our stay while in York, PA. The beds were extremely comfortable, especially since he was diagnosed with back issues. All the staff was very professional and extremely cordial.

Our room was clean and even on the first floor was very quiet (Saturday night stay); however, the door mechanism did not lock but instead a chain lock was installed. I didn't notice until I was ready to go to sleep and so did not ask for a room change (my small child was already asleep). That was issue #1. Issue #2 came the next morning when we were showering. The drain was so slow that the water just accumulated in the tub while showering. Though nothing “bad” happened, it was unpleasant and kind of disgusting. In general, the hotel was clean and a good value for the price but there were these 2 issues that I would recommend any traveler to evaluate before they commit to a room for the night.

Very clean. Front desk and cleaning staff friendly. Mini-fridge and microwave in the room. Coffee maker in the room, as well as coffee, tea, and juice available in the lobby. Breakfast included from 6-9am, but I did get up for it. Good location, close to restaurants. This hotel had a few bad reviews but I had no problems and would definitely stay here again.

Friendly hotel staff,full breakfast and very clean rooms..for under $100 this is the best place to stay in York PA..This is the time for America to get back to travel and this hotel did a nice job of conveying that you were a welcome guest

Would not recommend. While this hotel is within walking distance of a few restaurants, there are some very shady people on the premises. The hotel lobby appears nice then when you enter the room there is a very strong odor, most of the lighting is either broken or exposed with no cover, and all but one of the towels appeared clean. The first 3 rooms I tried either had a safety latch that had been kicked in or one that was removed entirely. The front desk staff was visibly annoyed trying to accommodate this simple request.

First room they tried to put us in smelled like curry and cigarettes, third floor smelled like frying food and curry. Second room ceiling was falling down in the bathroom and rugs were filthy, we couldn't even walk in socks or bare feet. Another couple in our group found bugs in their bed

Its a decent value for your money if you can snag a room for under $100. The decor in the rooms are a bit dated and need a little upkeep. I was on the first floor this stay and event with a local sports team staying down the hall, I didn't hear much noise. The desk chair was broken, so the back was in a permanent recline, but still usable. The tub stopper took a little finesse to get working, but it wasn't that big of a deal. The room was fairly clean and the bed was comforatble for nights sleep.

When we checked in, we unpacked and settled in only to find that the bathroom ceiling had caved in due to a major leak. We requested a new room to which we moved unpacked and settled in, only to find that the toilet did not work. At that point we were unwilling to make a third move, since we were traveling with an infant in need it a nap and had already fully unpacked twice, so we stayed with a non-functioning toilet. The staff did not seem to care that we were given two acceptable and unusable rooms, leading me to believe this was not an unusual occurrence for them. Would not recommend this location at all.

Room was clean, bed was very soft and comfortable. No breakfast but morning time Grab & Go bags available, Staff are friendly and always smiling when we pass on. Lobby is clean... We enjoy our stay. We will definitely return back whenever we are in this town. Even we strongly recommended our family and friends to stay in this hotel...

Lobby was dirty. Two were walking out with no masks on. When we came to lobby to turn keys in the morning. There were 4 people sitting two with no masks on getting Temperatures taken and some kind of exam right in front of checkout counter. I threw my keys in bin and took off. Really not following safe and sanitary rules at this hotel. Lobby and elevator and luggage cart were very dirty.

Cockroaches in our room move to another room after that couldn't sleep need to clean rooms better view little hot water you would think it would be endless hot water but it wasn't worth taken a shower when it's Luke warm

We usually stray twice a year at this hotel for our train show. But they have been canceled since the virus started. We did get away for a night stay and stayed at the hotel, everything was good as usual but not breakfast as none was available because of the virus. We having been staying at this hotel f or well over 10 years

The facility is always maintained. The desk employees are generally well versed in their job. My only concern is it seemed they have taken in a number of ''residents'' that seemed to be around. If they are staying there and loitering constantly I do not feel comfortable.

I arrived at the facility the same night that I needed to stay. The staff was very helpful and the hotel was very clean. Best Western is fast becoming my go to hotel for business trips. The rooms are always clean and the coffee is always hot!

Stayed one night, needed adjoining rooms- was guaranteed this upon reservation. When we arrived they could not give adjoining rooms even though I was traveling with an elderly parent who is deaf. This led to no sleep due to checking on him all night, the tub in my parents room had continuous leak. There are bleach stains on the second floor hallway. One bed had dirty sheets, and my young daughter asked why there were blood stains on her towel if she wasn't bleeding (gross). When asked if they could accommodate us any better or compensate us, front desk could have cared less and said there fully booked. Which is probably only because they had out of order rooms. Never again, there are Wyndams all around it, stay at one of those. They look newer and maybe their staff are more considerate to people who have special needs.

This place deserves zero stars. I booked two nights for my pregnant wife and I as we were visiting her sick grandma. As we drove into the parking lot something was off. We walked in, greeted by a man in the front desk who asked for my last name, picture id, and credit card. Didn't say another word to me, hade sign and initial paperwork and told us our room number. My wife asked for a vending machine and ice machine and he said there were machines in the first and third floor. When we went to get water and ice, the first floor ice machine was in the middle of the hallway, dusty and had a dirty bucket that held a tube that went into the machine and the vending machine was off and out of service, I went upstairs to the third floor machines, a bit more clean looking but the machine had no bottled water. Go back downstairs to my room and a hotel worker had the backdoor open and was smoking. The smoke smell got into my room and now I'm just annoyed because my poor wife has no water and now is bothered by the smell which affects me too since I have seasonal asthma. Tried to just get to bed since it was already past midnight and to our surprise, DIRTY SHEETS! Now I am increasingly irritated, tired and disgusted. Walk back to the front desk and tell the man my issues and request a total refund. I would not stay in a place so shady. He said well the vending machine must be empty (no duh) and I can switch you to another room but I can't give you a refund because I am not authorized and no one is here. Don't hotels have managers on duty for this type of stuff? Ridiculous! He then tells me he doesn't have any bottled water for us. I go back to the room to take my wife out and grab our things and return to the front desk and told him I couldn't have my wife stay here without having drinkable water and he has the nerve to point to a jug of water with oranges that looked like it had been sitting there for days and came straight from the sink. I told him I would be leaving and would forfeit the amount for the room. He just said ok but I could move you to another room and for $1 each he would bring bottled water to my room. I thought you didn't have water, I told him which he responds by saying of it's in some rooms. What?! I just told him I can't and won't stay here. He totally disregarding what really was important, having safe drinking water for my wife and unborn child andhaving a clean and safe place to sleep. It is now almost 1am and I have to go find another place that would give us a room at that time. Thankfully was able to book a room in Holidays Inn and feel comfortable. Please do not stay here! I never received my money back and feel like I deserved it!

When we checked in, we noticed the faucet in the bathtub was running, not dripping, but running. However the water knob was stuck and we could not turn it off or obviously, use the shower at all. We asked that they fix it, as we had to head out for the day. They assured us it would be fixed when we got back. We got back at 10 pm and walked into a flooded bathroom. I called, asked for another room and they said they'd get back to me in a few minutes. An hour later - 11 pm - they knock on the door and say they can move us to a room they save for emergencies. It was 11:00 pm and my daughter was exhausted from a volleyball tournament and asleep in bed, so I asked if we could move in the morning. They said no problem. The next morning they move us to a new room and say we don't have to pay for the first night. Cool. New room has stained, sagging ceilings in the bathroom but all is working, so fine. I go to check out, and they charged me for both nights! I reminded the woman that she herself said I would not have to pay for the first night and she acted like she had no idea what I was talking about. She eventually took it off , but this entire hotel was a cluster! Beds were comfortable - I will give them that. But otherwise, I'd steer clear.

My wife and had a nice and relaxing stay at this Best Western. We stayed in the king suite with the Jacuzzi, and found it to be a very relaxing feature. The hotel was clean, and especially for NYE was very quite.

I was impressed with the cleanliness of this facility. The staff were friendly and hand jelled prior to touching my belongings. The room was immaculate and the sheets smelled so clean. I will always choose best western.

Hotel was clean, check in clerk was very friendly! Beds were clean and comfortable. Check in clerk was wonderful very engaging with no only me but my child. check out clerk not so much. Walking distance to the quaker steak and lube restaurant.

We're chose this hotel based on its convenience to the Harley Davidson factory. The staff was nice. The room was average, the shower dripped the entire time. The refrigerator was loud and made it difficult to sleep.

Room was filthy and had a terrible odor. Noise was very bad at night. Very hard to work. Driveway blocked by orange cones making it impossible to drive up to the hotel door to check in. Bugs were in the floor every morning.

When I first came in the lobby it looked much nicer than the photo they have online. That picture should be changed. Anyway I have a few complaints but most are minor. First off the front desk clerk did not acknowledge I was a gold member so I wasn't sure about the points I was going to receive. I've gone to other best westerns and they always give me a choice of points or goody bag, this time I wasn't given a choice. Again minor. The room seemed nice upon entering except for a mild odor. Once you were inside you didn't notice it anymore. My biggest complaint which I didn't report til I was leaving was that the toilet ran constantly, at first it made a noise as if it was filling but this was constant. To avoid the noise we just closed the door. However, the next morning it continued to run and no matter what I did it wouldn't stop. Breakfast was fairly decent, waffles, pancakes, cereal and hot eggs and sausage both days we stayed. In the evenings you could hear the people walking and screaming or talking way too loud in the hallway. Thin walls I guess. The beds were not the greatest, just ok. Overall the hotel wasn't too bad, just a few minor tweaks and it would probably be much better. If I was in the area I might come back but I usually go to another Best Western in Paradise which is closer to the stuff I do so I doubt I'll go back.

The beds had make-up, hair and other unknown stains. The bathroom and room in general was not clean..I slept with full coverage and used my robe as a pillow case. Very disappointed..I deserve a refund..unacceptable.

I stayed here for a night while in the area. It is a decent place. The room was large and generally well maintained. Breakfast was nice, pancakes, eggs and other options. Overall a decent value for the price.

Overall a good hotel. However, rooms looked renovated but the kept some of the old bathroom fixtures. The ceiling over the tub was brown and stained from old leaks. Bed was comfortable and room was spacious. Breakfast was generous with hot and cold items.

I have used this motel in the past and decided to go with it again this summer. I was pleased with the updates and glad to see it in such good repair. The jacuzzi room was wonderful and well worth the money...at least for the weekday rate. Ate at the adjoining Quaker Steak and Lube for the first time and gladly used the ten percent discount for BW customers. Ease and location of this BW make it perfect to include in my annual travels.

Great room, clean, good service by front check in staffers. Would stay there again. Good food in the morning. great location for me, close to restaurants. The hotel honored my request for a ground floor room.

I had to go to York, Pa for work and had stayed here previously. I once again found the hotel convenient, clean and the amenities and service were very good. The room was pleasant but there was an "Earthy" odor in the bathroom which i informed the desk about. There is a small breakfast area adjacent to the front desk/lobby that had eggs, meat, breads, waffles, cereals and fruits for breakfast. This is especially convenient as it opens at 6 AM. The room was very inexpensive and well worth the cost.

I always stay at this hotel when I am in the area because the rooms are clean, the gym is well-equipped, the breakfast is fresh and varied, and the desk personnel are always cheerful and helpful. It is located in west York and minutes from the mall and fairgrounds. I have never had a problem at this hotel and will continue to stay here when I am in the area.

Booked via Priceline and got a good rate - wouldn't be worth paying regular rates. The front entrance was under massive construction the entire time we were there, including Saturday and Sunday, and the entrance ramp was closed making it very difficult to park and unload luggage using a luggage cart, which we needed due to the amount of luggage we had. The lobby and breakfast areas were nice, but due to the construction a lot of debris was being tracked in. Staff were ok, not exceptional. The free breakfast was good but it did get overly crowded. The hallways were somewhat dingy and dated, but our room looked liked it had probably been relatively recently renovated, although the furniture was somewhat marred. The bathroom area was very dated with a low suspended tile ceiling, but there was a second sink area outside the bathroom which was convenient. Beds were comfortable, A/C worked and wifi worked well, and the TV had an OK selection of channels. There was a nice sized refrigerator and a microwave. Overall cleanliness was good. Location just off US 30 and near I-83 is excellent, but it is in an industrial park type setting so at first glance isn't very appealing. The construction crew were also staying at the hotel which was somewhat off-putting. Lots of shopping and dining options nearby, and it's only a 10-15 minute drive into downtown York. Gettysburg is less than an hour away.

I am a Best Western Platinum member and I have stayed at this hotel in the past for years and this last time I woke up with bites all over my body due to bed bugs. They are in the middle of a renovation and I don't know if this has anything to do with it but I doubt it. I will not be staying in this hotel in the future

The lobby and breakfast area has cookies just like Hampton Inns, and looks nice and clean. However the guest rooms we stayed in (we had 2 rooms and previewed 3) were in need of remodeling. Maybe the construction on the property intends to address this. Exit staircase is used by smoking patrons and consistently left propped open with rocks. The exterior door has an old key card lock which is inactive and not very secure. We did not feel unsafe in the location however, and were able to observe fireflies luminescing on the nearby grass which was nice. Staff and management were friendly so that is a good bonus.

This was a stop in York on our long road trip on motorcycle. Rooms were clean, and comfortable Staff were friendly and helpful. Room needed more shampoo and conditioner as there were two of use. Breakfast was ok but the area small and gets crowded. Convenient and easy to get o. .

Upon arrival the entry door was under construction and blocked off with trucks and roofing lifts thru out the parking lot and apparently had been going on for weeks and we were not made aware of it at reservation making time or confirmation a couple of days before arriving. Received an e mail form Best Western thru York, Pa.org for a promotion of a $25.00 voucher for dinner next door at Quaker Steak & Lube, which was never received or acknowledged, Spoke to manager Billy Hall and he was looking into it, 2 weeks later still nothing. The marketing Manage of Quaker Steak & Lube was aware of it , she had been involved in the contract with Best Western for these $25.00 gift cards, guess they were given to staff and family. The Owners/ Mangers are of India descent no problem, except their whole family lives, cooks, eats & sleeps in several of the rooms on the 3rd floor and the odor of their cooking spice Curry is overwhelming and then Housekeeping trying to cover it up with air freshener. And then to top it off the last 2 nights we were bitten by spiders, we actually checked out a night early and stayed at another hotel Very Very Disappointed and Sadden by the fact that Best Western is represented this way. Have stayed at many of BW Hotels and never had this experience and believe some sort of restitution is due for this very bad expereince

We stay at Best Western twice a year for our TCA train meet. we been staying at the hotel for about 10 years now.. Close to the fairgrounds, near all the eating places. Easy to come & go from the highway. Nice large rooms, with 2 sinks and good shower pressure. good breakfast and internet desk. Were book and ready for our October show. We love it here...

The staff wasn't friendly. The rooms were not very clean (dust, stains/sticky substance on carpets, nasty exterior) We changed a room bc there was strong odor in it. The staff did spray something after we left it. The covered awning to check in was roped off for no apparent reason, making it difficult for us to bring in luggage or drive our cars in. We thought the hotel was closed. I would not recommend this hotel. I was misled by the star rating online.

At check in I had to wait better than 20 minutes while the young lady behind the desk finished a call on her cell phone. I then having requested an upper room away from the elevator was placed on the first floor right next to the entrance. This was not acceptable.

Reserved 4 rooms for 2 nights. I arrived Friday and informed the manager the others would not be checking to their rooms until next day. The rooms were still given to other customers. On Saturday I had to rent 2 other rooms for my asst. coach and players. My players were offered filthy room. Then were given a room that smelled of smoke in non-smoking hotel.

Don't judge this hotel by its basic exterior - inside it's recently remodeled. Beautiful and modern, and the jacuzzi room is great. You get WAY more than you pay for here. The included breakfast is also top-of-the-line.

I stayed here for a business trip. It was so comfortable with great service, I will be bringing my wife along next time I am in town. Room was very clean. Breakfast was good tasting and fresh everyday. The menu was very diverse and chained daily.

Check-in was easy. Most of our group was on the same floor which was very convenient. Check out was a breeze. Staff was very friendly. Close proximity to a variety of restaurants. Clean. Priced appropriately. Ample parking.

This hotel is a great value, recently updated, and located to shopping, restaurants, and downtown York's offerings. All of the staff makes an effort to talk to guests entering and leaving the hotel. The best value is the oversized whirlpool room for an even more relaxing time in the middle of winter. Breakfast offerings are amazing with all of the usual things but now with a fresh pancake maker and biscuits and gravy. Grits were even available. Make it your hotel of choice. Our 3 stays were most enjoyable.

Price was on-par with other properties (e.g. Hampton Inn), but all equipment in fitness center was substandard and recumbent, treadmill and stair stepper were all broken (Jan '19). Offer to go to nearby gym didn't help when it's 10 deg out. Also, gym wasn't open past 4 pm on weekends. And please fix TV in the lobby (they aren't expensive). There are better options nearby.

Very conveniently located to York Expo Center. Lots of dining choices in the area. We were there during snow and were able to walk to several locations. Breakfast was decent. Eggs were so-so. Waffle maker was a huge hit and very tasty. Pancake maker was out of order. Lobby was small but nice and clean with large screen TV. We stayed here for a volleyball tournament. We would stay here again.

My daughter and I stayed here after a volleyball tournament as the weather was sketchy for a 90 minutes drive home. We made a last minute reservation at the closest hotel to our venue. It was a 2.5 star hotel, but the staff made it seem like a 4 star. The most important thing I want out of a hotel is something clean. And our room was that. Even their shampoo choice (argon oil) was top notch. When the room key didn't work and we went to the front desk, I was told not to come down again, but use the phone by the elevator and they would send someone up, so we wouldn't have to go back again. We did not have to as the key card worked. We stayed in a double queen room which had a fridge and microwave. Because of those amenities and the free breakfast, I would recommend this hotel for a longer stay.

This Best Western was clean, with comfy beds, good heat/air, average breakfast, friendly staff. Well located in York, with a restaurant adjacent. You can walk to the restaurant under a cover! Internet was fine.

From the time I walked in for check in, everything was perfect. The lobby was nice and clean. The front desk girl was very pleasant and made check in a breeze. The room was extremely clean and relaxing. I stayed in a room with the Jacuzzi tub which was amazing! I would stay there again for sure!

The staff was very helpful and nice. Had a prinlem with the door lock and the evening clerk, Angel?, brought out her machine and reprogrammed. The building is odd in the that it is a city block long and I was told you can only enter through the front. It looked like it may have been freshened up recently, but not kept up with. There was a very odd smell when you enter the building and throughout the common space, not in the room. Plenty if amenities, stores, restaurants in the area The room was quiet and clean!

Had emergency while visiting city for first time. Staff was SO pleasant and understanding. Went above and beyond to accommodate our needs. Breakfast was AMAZING. Felt almost as nice as being home!! I will always remember the pleasantness we experienced there from the moment we walked in until the time we said goodbye! Would gladly go back again!!!!

I found this chain to be the Best in searching where to stay and for the cost it is the Best. So just remember, when searching for a hotel because you are "On The Road Again," just remember this--imagine the Best of the West in the East.

My family members that accompanied me on my stay were treated amazingly well by staff. Staff members assisted my daughter with her 9 month old son so she was able to enjoy breakfast including fixing her a cup of coffee. Made a very tough week for her so much easier with their kindness and professional conduct.

While I encountered one very lovely, competent, and kind front desk person during our stay I was very displeased overall. The room I was sold over the phone/internet had a sofa in addition to a queen sized bed, along with a roll in shower. The room I received had a queen bed and 1 chair, no pull out, and the shower required a step over of about 1 foot. The grab bar by the toilet was also too high (not to mention the paint falling off the wall in that area), definitely a no go from my Mom who is 90 and mobility challenged. The front entrance, which is supposed to be accessible, has an extremely steep and long ramp that my Mom was exhausted by going into the hotel and afraid to even try descending. We were moved to another room in the hotel which hadn't been cleaned after the previous guest, and then moved again, this time to a clean room. This room was in the middle of a very long hotel hallway, between the 2 elevators. I was able to get my Mom out through the back entrance which had a far less difficult ramp, but to get her there I had to use the desk chair to wheel her to the elevator (it was 60 steps for me, a very long journey for her) and then help her over all the doorways with her walker. I had asked for some adjustment to my bill for the trouble and have yet to hear anything from a manager. The rooms are inexpensive, but not well maintained. They ones that are clean are cleaned well. This property is down at heel - there are some newer pieces of furniture but it needs paint, re-plastering in places, and better lighting in the halls. The carpeting in the hallway, while jazzy and fun, is not good for older people trying to navigate the space. A neutral piece with less of a pattern would be better.

We arrived on a Sunday afternoon aftering traveling from Virginia on a return trip home. We used our reward points for this stay and we were thoroughly impressed by the quality of service we received as we checked in. We had only one issue during our stay and that problem was dealt with in a pleasant and professional manner. Our pass keys wouldn't allow access to our room but this problem was quickly resolved by the hospitality personnel. The room was spacious and the decor was nice. We had a restful, peaceful stay at this hotel. The breakfast had a good variety of choices to choose from and the lobby/restaurant area is spacious.

Selected hotel for value pricing while planning a trip to the Seton Shrine in Maryland and Dutch Wonderland in Lancaster. Definitely less expensive than hotels in Lancaster, Gettysburg. Staff friendly but not always attentive to important matters (ex. providing signage when the elevator was out). Long interior hallways feel dated but decor is relatively modern and rooms are clean (although bathroom tile has a sandy tone, a poor choice when guests are evaluating cleanliness). No charge for parking (lot parking). Quaker Steak and Lube restaurant very nearby and offers discount when you present your room key; also near a bit of shopping (Kohl's, Ollie's, etc.).

We stayed at this hotel while traveling from New Your to DC. It was an awesome experience. The room were clean and quite, Ample parking and awesome breakfast. The staff that served us the breakfast (Ms. Genesis) was an amazing host. Very friendly and always at your service. My kids enjoyed that a lot We wish to come back here again

The halls were dated, rooms were clean, and front desk service was wonderful. A friend and I had to make a quick unexpected trip to York and got to the motel around midnight. we were tired and the front desk clerk was Wonderful, she was very nice. The room was clean, and the bathroom was clean, a little dated for the price , but we slept good. the hall had a smell probably due to the old carpet . our overall stay was nice.

Stayed here on work trip to JCNS plant in York, PA. Hotel is clean, staff is friendly and helpful. The shower curtain rod was coming down, screws/anchors coming out of wall. Told front desk as I went out first morning to work, upon return, repairs were complete. Ate complimentary breakfast, western omelet, bagel, sausage patty and I made a Belgian waffle. The hotel looks a little older, but was clean. Room size more than adequate, desk (at which I write this review), couch/loveseat, queen bed. Inexpensive place if you have to visit. Angel at the front desk was VERY FRIENDLY and helpful! Inexpensive for what I needed.

Front desk afternoon staff was very helpful with specific room request to meet needs. Also staff suggested good dinner options and cocktail location. Bed was a little more soft than mine at home but was satisfactory. King accommodation was very comfortable. Hotel while older had been renovated on inside in 2016 and outside in 2014 and was located in a convenient location, close to main highway and shopping centers and restaurants.

This hotel had very spacious rooms and great accommodations. The staff was friendly and the rooms were clean. I was impressed by the breakfast. I've had plenty of hotel breakfasts since I travel and this one just seemed a step up. Great visit.

We stayed here for a wedding, and had a pretty good experience. There were several weddings going on that weekend, and they had actually overbooked themselves, but the upside to that was we got a free upgrade to a bigger room. The staff we spoke with seemed pretty stressed, but they were courteous and kind, and helped work through the issues. Our room was clean, and beds were pretty comfy!

We stay at many Best Westerns. We booked this for a one-night stay. Do not let the outside of the building deceive you. The building is old but the inside is all renovated. The staff is wonderful. Great complimentary breakfast.

We have been staying at this hotel for the past 5 years when we have visited my son at YCP. The hotel is in a quiet area. it is only 10 mins to campus and the breakfast offers very good hot and cold choices. The beds are fairly comfortable, and the shower on the 3rd floor has very good water pressure. On our last stay, however, there was a very strong oder of curry in the hallway on the 3rd floor. I could not understand where it was coming from, when another frequent traveler of this hotel told me that some of the 3rd floor guests have kitchens in their rooms and use for "extended stays". I was happy to report that the smell did not permeate our room, it was just in the hallway. Overall, this is a nice place to stay. They also offer cookies; fruit; coffee and tea all day which is a nice touch.

My wife attended a conference in the area so we booked a three day stay. I was in and out during the day. Service was wonderful from check in to check out. The housecleaning staff was friendly and helpful. Waiting til I went out for the day to swoop in and clean my room. Breakfast was delicious. Fresh cookies and fruit available throughout the day. Rooms are spacious and beds are comfortable. Nearby many places to eat and visit. Hotel gets 10% discount at two local eateries

Rooms are clean and basic. Breakfast was better than most hotels at this level. Hallway to rooms is very long. If you have walking problems or vertigo, ask for a room near the elevator. Staff was great.

It started off with a very terrible outside to the building. Then bad customer service by not getting me the information I needed. Then it went to a dirty room. Then things that were said would be done were not done.

We were in York for a convention, reserved 2 rooms. Very clean, helpful staff, and the wifi worked great. The free breakfast was ok, no complaints, but no praises either. Convenient location to the expo center and many restaurants. Would stay again

We returned to this location for another wonderful stay in one of the spacious whirlpool rooms. Even if you're not interested in the whirlpool, a few extra bucks gets you a huge room with a good sized bathroom in addition to the alcove whirlpool area. There is a nice recessed area with a desk and a nice desk chair if you want to spread out and work. A table and 2 chair seat is great for eating any takeout foods purchased in the area that can be stored in the frig and heated in the microwave. The breakfast bar offers it all including biscuits and gravy one morning as well as omelets with salsa and cheese toppings, a welcome change. But that doesn't mean that the freshly made waffles and toppings for them aren't there as well as yogurts and toppings for them, 4 kinds of juice, coffee, teas plus an assortment of 6 other boxed of teas, hard boiled eggs, really good bagels that aren't huge, toast up well to give you crunchy bites, 4 kinds of cereal, breads, Danish, donuts, as well as fresh fruit like apples, oranges, bananas but some strawberries and pineapple. All of the staff was friendly and outgoing doing whatever it needed to make your stay a pleasant one. Some reviews mentioned that it was confusing to leave the hotel to get back to Rt 30. Just remember to drive under the portico with Steak and Shake to your left and then watch the signs or, from the lot, right, 1st left, left, and left to get to the Rt 30 light. I would add a lounge chair in the corner where there's a floor lamp to make it even cozier. I also thought that the bed was too soft.

The staff as well as the hotel were an excellent value as well as an excellent stay, I would stay there anytime I'm in the area thank you so much for a wonderful visit . The staff was friendly and welcoming and I felt as though I was home the beds were very comfortable only slept very well

The motel is close to several major highways and is close to restaurants and a grocery. My room was clean and everything was functional. The staff was cordial. The breakfast was basic, mainly sugar and starch products.

I would and will stay again it's right across the street from a Quaker Steak & Lube and they offer 10% discount staying with Best Western also worth in walking distance of miles and gallery is and there is multiple other places to eat. It has a fitness room a very well-stocked breakfast not just coffee and donuts they go out of your way to serve you a good breakfast I wished it would start a little bit earlier but it starts at 6 a.m. till 10 but they do have a to-go bag from 3 to 6 it has fruit water granola just enough to get you going I have never actually eating dinner there but they do have a room service menu also

We stayed here traveling through the area and thought it would be a good place to stop for the evening. I think next time we would look for another place to stay. The reasons why were because the middle of the bed sagged, the drain in the shower would not allow the water to go down, the shower handle was very difficult to turn on and then once you turned it on it was difficult to get it to completely shut off, the coffee was extremely bitter, the eggs and sausage that were provided on the breakfast bar came out lukewarm and so we had to put the breakfast in the microwave to have it warm. What is the upside? The price. Now we understand why. It was very disappointed as this was a Best Western not a low budget Motel. I hope that the owners will take note and spend some time making corrections so that travelers can enjoy a nice relaxing place to stay.

Best bang for the $$. Comfortable room and amenities. Had a great one night stay at this hotel which is conveniently located close to my daughter's school in York. Nice getaway. Would highly recommend the hotel.

Very nice Hotel with great hot free breakfast served early. Hallways were way too long but can't be helped by staff :^). Traffic pattern to get in parking lot was a funny challenge. Be sure to check prices often as we saved $14 by checking back a few days before arrival.

Most comfortable bed, pillows AND sheets. Appreciated having 4 bed pillows instead of just two. Breakfast selections are fantastic. The room was scent free and the halls smelled great. Will stay there every year! Best hotel experience ever!

The staff DOES NOT change the bed sheets, nor pillow covers on the beds. We stayed here for 8 nights for the Thanksgiving holiday. The front desk could not find our reservation after about 10 seconds of searching. We get our room key and upon entering the room, everything seemed clean and in order; until we later went to bed and noticed the rank smell of the pillows and sheets. The showers do not have liners, so the shower curtain either gets completely soaked or the bathroom floors become a puddle. The do not disturb sign was broken and the extra sign had tape all around it, so when we put that one on the door, it broke. Do not go barefoot in the room as the carpets are sticky and feel disgusting on bare feet. Overall I was extremely disappointed with this "hotel" and will never return nor will I ever recommend this hotel to family or friends. I could not wait to leave and return to my bed with clean sheets.

Nice place to stay ... staff was very helpful and friendly ... room was clean ... hotel seems to be well maintained. The only negative was the wifi signal isn't great ... but for me I didn't spend a ton of time in the room aside from sleeping so it wasn't that big of a deal.

This hotel is modest but good at what it does. It is not (and doesn't claim to be) a destination resort. But it is a good value for an extended business stay. The room was comfortable, the service was attentive, and the pricing was very reasonable.

First time here, just a couple days in the York area. The hotel staff members were pleasant, breakfast was good with plenty of variety, carpet in main hallway and my room fresh, paint fresh, elongated bowl toilet - yay - shower water nice and hot. The refrig and wall HVAC unit were pretty quiet. The mattress was soft - I prefer a firm one - but ok. Several good restaurants nearby - Quaker Steak, Oliver Garden, Smokey Bones, Friendly.

I stay at this Best Western whenever I'm in the area which is at least once a year.. Always clean with a very accommodating staff . Price is very reasonable. Save even more because I can eat breakfast right there for free!!

We had previously stayed in that area of York in the past but at another facility which was alittle pricey so we took our chances to try another place & couldn't have been more satisfied. The registration gentleman was so pleasant & helpful & made you feel welcome. Our room was a very nice size & very clean with plenty of towels, microwave & fridge. The breakfast buffet was the usual but a nice variety. Quaker Steak &Lube was next door with a 10% discount on food. We will certainly stay there again & would recommend to others.

Enjoyable area. Many amenities in this pleasantly comfortable hotel. I stayed only one night and would gladly return. A little too pricey as I am on a per diem. Would definitely recommend a night to anyone looking to stay in the area.

Smelly Wet Room , broken table and Powdered Eggs for Breakfast was gross, also food handled improperlly after garbage was put together and she got in the way while people tried to get the food. The only good thing was the Check-In clerk, no problem gave us a second room that wasn't wet and smelly.

Clean room, reasonable pricing, close to shopping. Shower had excellent water pressure. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We were given some local restaurant ideas. Wifi was easy to access and had good speed. Would stay there again!

This is a nice, quiet hotel near major roads and restaurants. Rooms are clean and nice. Staff are friendly. Breakfast was delicious. Lots of parking. I wish there was a pool or hot tub. They offered 10% off of your food at a restaurant within walking distance.

very nice hotel, good rates, clean, people very nice. breakfast could be a little better and have real brewed coffee. I prefer real coffee and there is a Starbucks across the street which is where I went for coffee. I would still recommend this this hotel overall it is very nice and affordable..

Checked in, fridge and tv remote didn't work. Maintenance person spoke no English and couldn't fix the problem, had to wait to the next day to get replacement fridge and remote. I had to run out and buy a cooler to keep food cool for my sons wrestling tournament the next day.

Stayed one night at the Best Western in York, PA. After check in, we entered our room and immediately could tell that the previous patrons had been smoking in the room. An employee in the hall heard us say "oh no" as we walked in the room. He knocked on our door to ask if there was a problem, and he also could smell the smoke odor in the room. He stated that the hotel was a non-smoking hotel, and immediately called the front desk to have us moved to another room. We are so grateful they took care of the problem so promptly! The room was adequate for a one night stay. The queen beds in the room will soon need replacement, but were comfortable. I would definitely replace the anti-slip mat in the tub as it looks very old. Quaker Steak and Lube is right next door which was very convenient. We would stay here again and recommend it to anyone.

Booked room on line at a fair value. The check in clerk was very pleasant and welcoming. Room key didn't always work correctly but since I had two, I just kept using them until the lock was activated to enter. The room was nice and comfortable. It had a slight musty odor but wasn't enough for me to complain. The room was cleaned and linens replaced daily during my 3 night stay. Overall it was a positive experience and will probably stay there again the next time I'm in town.

We went to York PA to visit the Harley Davidson Factory. Everything was very close to the hotel and pretty easily accessible. The inside of the hotel was very nice, modern, and clean! We enjoyed a jacuzzi suite and the room was very affordable in comparison to other hotels! We will definitely come back again!

Save your money and stay at a bus terminal...its cheaper, quieter and better run. Staff was rude, hotel was extremely noisy - they placed us (a family of 4 with a toddler and baby) between a group of college kids. From mid night until 5am in the morning there was screaming, laughing and door slamming. My children were literally up all night. So as you can imagine our next day was a nightmare.

For the money, this is really a good hotel. But it's a bit difficult to get to, if you don't approach it from the right direction. And getting out is not much easier. You cannot make a left turn into the hotel or out of it! Our room was very clean, including the floors, and the bed was comfortable. We stayed for two nights and it was just as clean the second night as the first. The most outstanding feature was the shower. Good pressure and, when you get it adjusted just right, you won't want to get out. Negative is that the shower curtain was a bit hard to keep closed. I was concerned when we first walked in because of the very small vanity I saw outside the bathroom door. Turned out there was another, larger one inside the bathroom. The smaller one was good for the coffee maker. One side of the bed was pushed up against a pillar-like corner (just the head of the bed) and had no nightstand. There was no HD signal for the TV and the picture was stretched. There was a connecting room and I was a bit concerned, but I heard no noise from the other room. The hotel provided two luggage stands, rather than one. Breakfast was mostly average, but I'd say the pastries were better than average.

For the right price you get a good night sleep, great breakfast and great service. Nothing was a bother and they did everything to make your visit one that you will want to make sure that you return when in York

good overnight stay. Error in bill corrected. Angel took care of us and we enjoyed the stay and the breakfast. Breakfast personnel made sure the food was hot and refilled as needed. Our bed was quite comfartable and the a/c worked great. We will stay at Best Western again.

We've tried most of the hotels in York over the years, and this one is in the top thirty percent. It seems to have had relatively recent renovations and is set back far enough from busy Hwy 30 that there is no road noise. It is also within walking distance of several restaurants, especially Masa Sushi (a favorite of ours). It's not a modern hotel, but it gets the job done and then a bit more. The hallways are very long and impersonal feeling, but the desk staff are extremely pleasant and also effective. Our room was a good size, and we liked the double sinks and comfortable, albeit soft, bed. Housekeeping is adequate but not inspired. Microwave, mini-fridge, WiFi and buffet breakfast are included. Breakfast is of the typical sort: waffles, scrambled eggs, cereal. Parking can accommodate oversize or towing vehicles (although access back onto Hwy 30 is a bit convoluted). No pets.

For us, this was a good place to stop off for an overnight stay. The location was ideal and the room was clean with a comfortable bed. The staff was friendly and courteous. We will definitely stay here again.

average. Did not have wake up call, and registering took 45 minutes. Other then that the rooms were clean, the location no to back to get in and out of location. The staff was good. having the restaurant next door is differently a plus, especially after a long ride on a Harley.

I stayed at this hotel for 1 night and it should have been more. My wife and I previously stayed in Lancaster for a few nights. We came to this hotel because the previous hotel's rates were going up $60. This hotel allowed us to visit Gettysburg and still be fairly close to the airport in Harrisburg within an hour at least. This hotel looks like it was remodeled. It sits a block off a major highway that was very busy both times we came through but the noise level of the traffic is barely heard at all. Check in was very simple. The entrance is a little off. Most hotels the entrance is usually in the middle of the building. This one is at the end and there is also another entrance on the other end. If your room is at the other end it makes for a long walk so if you want exercise those rooms would be no issue. If you don't want that long walk back to the main entrance then look for a room closer to the main entrance. That is what we did and they gave us a room on the 2nd floor. Breakfast was great. It is a hot breakfast buffet. This is one of the top things we look for in a hotel. If it doesn't have a breakfast then we are not staying. It helps not to have to go out somewhere and get something to eat. There is a Quaker steak and lube eatery next door. Go there and get 10% off your order. Just let the waitress know. What amazes me is how low the price was. I think our total was $104 and this was a Thursday night in late July. There is a mall within a few blocks away from the hotel. We never went. I would consider staying here again if we come back to York or have a need to stay in York while visiting another town so long as the price remains as it was when we stayed.

Considering this was one of the cheaper rooms in York, I was really satisfied with stay. Surprisingly so. From the outside the hotel doesn't look like much, but it's really nice inside! The room quality was just as high or higher than the higher-priced chains. I had issues with a noisy neighbor - I'm not sure if it's because the adjoining room door isn't sealed, or if the guy was just REALLY loud. I put a few pillows in the crack and it was much better. The 3rd floor hallway had strange food smells that weren't all that pleasant, but I assume that is from long-time residents that reside there. I didn't complain about the noisy neighbor or the smells - I assume they would have helped fix the issues if I did. The staff I met were very friendly and helpful.

this was a nice hotel. We were traveling on our bikes and it was pouring down rain. They let us park our bikes in front and under a cover. So our bikes didn't get wet and they kept an eye on them all night. Quaker State restaurant is awesome place to eat dinner.

Hotel was clean and in a good location. Our stay was short, but very pleasant. Hotel was very quiet. Staff was courteous and friendly. Breakfast was normal Best Western fare with scrambled and hard boil eggs, sausage patties, toast, waffles, and pastries. My only complaint was the layout of the building. Very long hallways, and only one main entrance. This would not keep me from staying again.

Staff starts banging on your door before check out time to ask if you are extending your stay. This is nothing special if a hotel but with rude and inconsiderate staff this is a place to avoid. Front desk acted like this is a chronic problem. If you stay do so knowing you will have to deal with rude people.

Good place to stay as it is located close to Hershey, Pennsylvania and Baltimore, Maryland. I love their continental breakfast and newspaper. Best Western even gave me a 10% off coupon to use at the restaurant next door.

Conveniently located on Hwy 30 about 25 minutes from Lancaster (Amish Country), 20 minutes from Hanover (Pretzel & Chip Capital of USA), 40 minutes from Hershey (Chocolate World of USA), 30 minutes from Gettysburg (Most famous Civil War Battlefield & Lincoln Address), 60 minutes to Baltimore. Most comfortable bed we've ever slept on. The nicest Night staff ever, great, friendly breakfast service area. Clean, quiet, safe hotel. Located near shopping, restaurants (24 Hour Cafe a must), Harley Davidson Factory & Tour only five (5) minutes away. Free HOT breakfast included (eggs, sausage, waffles, oatmeal, cereal, muffins, bagels, toast, juices, coffee, hot chocolate, hot teas, yogurt, and fruits. Highly recommend this location. You will save $75 - $100 per night as compared to Lancaster.

Nice Lobby with TV, couch, tables/chairs, and Friendly staff. Room had 2 beds, w/micro, fridge, and flat TV. Also, had nice bathroom with Tub/shower and anti-slip pad installed ( No slipping here). Extra powder sink. Washer/Dryer on 2nd flr. Nice quality variety for breakfast, which was a plus. I really enjoyed the stay !

Good hotel with breakfast bar helped make my 5 day stay in the area enjoyable. Spacious and clean room had a comfortable bed and all amenities functioned properly. Value for the price was good. Access to the hotel from the local highway was easy. Leaving the Hotel was like a maze since the local roads had cement barriers that stop easy return and required a circuitous back roads route to return to the highway (very strange).

Check-in person & evening staff were amazing. Breakfast ladies are a real treat. The cleaning staff and check-out staff are rude, incompetent, and communicate poorly. The place is basically nice for the price, but once the 'A' team is not available, service drops off tremendously.

The room was nice. The motel had a very good selection for breakfast instead of just bagels & coffee. Enjoyed the eggs and sausage. Staff was friendly & courteous. No problem with room except it seemed to take a while for the air conditioner to cool the room down.

We stayed at this hotel one night, to visit Lancaster and the Amish. A bit far from Lancaster (40 minutes), but it was the cheapest we found on Priceline. We had a room with a queen bed and a hide a bed sofa. The room was clean, but there was a cleaning products odor in the room There is no pool or restaurant in this hotel, but there is a Quaker Steak and Lube next to the hotel. The free breakast was great, with scrambled eggs and sausages. This hotel was a bit too pricey for what we had, but it was correct.

There are many alternative hotels/motels in the area. I think if we stay in this York again I will do a better job looking into other opportunities for me and my friends. Security was my biggest issue. Last year I reported a breach in a security door that didn't close properly and a year later they are still broke leaving the guests at risk.

We stayed here on our way back from NY. It was less expensive than some others in the area, and it was booked late in the afternoon from my phone. Nice, Clean, well kept overall, friendly staff, close to restaurants, no pool, but a good breakfast with a good variety of choices and large dining area.

Excellent place to stay if going to Gettysburg, just a short drive away. Room was very clean, looks like the hotel was recently remodeled. Will stay there again if we vacation that way! Didn't really have much interaction with staff, just check in and out, but still very friendly!

There is no indoor or outdoor pool and no hot tub either. The weight room is small . The beds were really nice. The breakfast was very nice.and the workers were nice also. The room was clean. Just no pools or hot tub.

I don't know who the front desk staff were but the morning shift were very helpful! We ended up needing to extend our stay for another night because Harrisburg hotels were completely booked (where we were going to stay the second night). The front desk staff looked for any cancelations to extend our stay for us, because they too were booked for Saturday night! They were able to squeeze us in under the canceled reservation! When we first got to the hotel, the door of the tv stand completely fell of the hinges when we opened it to access the fridge, also there was a slight hole in the wall the size of a quarter. However, we noted the issues right away to the FD and the staff was quick to fix the door and make note that we didn't cause the damage to the wall. The breakfast wasn't great, the second morning we went out to breakfast.

This is a clean, efficient, bright hotel which is a great value if in the area either for sight seeing or for the college in town! We were looking for an affordable, but nice option in the area for a weekend, and this Best Western was perfect. Plus they have a nice breakfast buffet - so no having to find a spot for breakfast first thing in the morning.

We visited BW in York as a Harley Chapter from Ohio. The Staff was excellent, went out of there way to make sure our bikes got parked under the entryway to keep them dry during a storm. Rooms were clean and the Breakfast had a wonderful selection.

Hotel lobby, hallways and room had a very strong, unpleasant odor. When I mentioned it to the staff, they noted that someone had spilled Syrup in the waffle machine. This was not syrup. It was a combination of chemical, fried food and burnt hair. It was horrible. Upon check out, I was greeted with a bill for $66 that none of the staff, including the hotel manager, could explain. I was also informed that the points I had used upon booking were no longer valid and that I would be charged full price for both nights. When I tried to dispute the charge, the hotel manager became very combative and basically told me that I had no choice but to pay it. (She also never did explain what the original charge of $66 was for). Bottom line, STAY AWAY from this hotel!! There is a really nice La Quinta right next door. There is also a Wyndham by Windgate which is lovely, I've stayed there many times.

I stayed at the Best Western in York,Pa for a conference and the service staff was lacking basic greeting skills. The front desk at times had problems understanding English.The breakfast was good. The young lady who works the breakfast is helpful and has a good grasp of English.

Stayed here for an event in York. Four day stay. Room was clean and spacious, shower was hot, and the breakfast was adequate. Quick, friendly check in and the location is in a safe area and walking distance to several restaurants. I would stay here again when in York.

Alway has very friendly and accommodating staff. Good breakfast setup, reasonable prices with additional discounts. Rooms are clean and amenities supplied for guests. Guest laundry rooms are provided as well.

Three ladies on Motorcycles arrived to The Best Western and was greeted by your friendly and warm staff. They recommended dinner at Quaker Steak and informed us of the discount associated with the hotel, Bonus!! The hotel room was clean and had pleasant decor. The lobby area was very comfortable and was a perfect place to pass the time away. Breakfast was also inviting. Hotel staff went over and over, after the rain passed, they offer us towels to wipe down out bikes. A gesture that will not be forgotten. Thank you!

We were looking for hotel in York area with guest laundry, and found this BW. While it is an older building it has been renovated and everything was fresh. The staff was friendly, courteous and efficient. The room was clean and spacious with sofa/sitting area, refrigerator and microwave. It was next door to a restaurant and others within walking distance.

No privacy and rooms was nonsmoking, but smelled like smoke. Someone knocked on our door at 8:30 and opened the door! Quite disturbing! The remote was not functioning properly. The air conditioner kept my husband awake due noise.

Beds were so terrible I think sleeping on the floor would have been more comfortable. Both my husband and i woke up with back pain and thats never usually an issue for us. Definitely takes down the level of enthusiasm you leave the hotel with to start your fun. Room smelled like someone just smoked a cigarette in there before we walked in even though its a nonsmoking room. Hallway smelled like food cooking, old musty carpet, smoke and heavy perfume EVERY SINGLE TIME we went opened the door.

We were in town for a long weekend for baseball. The hotel had a very reasonable price. The hallways were clean and looked fairly freshly painted and carpeted. They were dark in color though. The room was very nice and spacious. The only complaint here is that we had a east facing room and you could not close the curtains, only the shear. So, when the sun came up, we were awake. Breakfast was your standard hotel breakfast, but no complaints and saved money. Wi Fi worked fine. Would stay again.

Clean, well kept, no problem check-in and check-out. Decent breakfast buffet. Staff, especially the front desk at check-in and later, when we reported problem getting HBO to work, which did not happen throughout the stay. The lady at the front desk explained the problem was with their cable provider (Comcast), but responded professionally and courteously by discounting the room. Rooms were clean, quiet air conditioning!!!! and maintained well.

We had to have our house renovated and we were so lucky to find this hotel! This is a very clean and we'll kept hotel. We were so happy with the staff. They treated us like royalty! We enjoyed the breakfast every morning with coffee. They even offer room service and a discount at the restaurant Quaker Steak & Lube next door! We even had to stay for a few extra days and Nina was more than happy to accommodate us. We enjoyed our stay!

Booked this hotel for a sports function. The hotel was easy to check in and out. Clean and the bed was pretty comfortable. Many selections for breakfast but not the tastiest. Overall it severed its purpose.

Old but Clean nice affordable - conveniently located. Business/leisure trip - could not make wifi work. Management moved me to three different rooms--very accommodating but signal just not there. if you need to work and need wifi- third floor is not for you. Finally I ended up in room 112 where signal was strong enough for IR to work with me. I had to call 800 number for the internet service. it took 24 hours and about 4 hours on the phone with different people to make this work. Last IT person gave me a different phone number to call for future references (gave the number to front desk). The connection worked long enough for me to do what needed to be done. Positive: very nice personnel, good breakfast, clean rooms I would like to recognize Jeffrey D, the maintenance Supervisor who went out of his way to help me with connectivity issues and later checked on me again to make sure I was OK. Great job Jeffrey - Best Western needs to hire more employees like this. The GM - (Meg) very nice showed up about 11 and tried to help as well.

Room was nice; services good. Breakfast was complete. Ice maker was working. Hotel was newly renovated. Good location. coffee maker in room. Handicap room had only just a small double bed. A queen bed would be great.

This hotel was perfect. The room was clean and very comfortable. The staff was very helpful and attentive. It is located near everything from restaurants to theaters. I highly recommend and would definitely stay here again. Cindy Gaither

We had a stop over night in York PA on our way down to visit friends in Raleigh NC Room was fantastic and we thought clean. we were out for dinner and such came back to the room to go to bed as we had a early morning the next morning when we closed the curtains that's when we saw someone's dirty underwear beside the sofa, as it was late we and we were tired we didn't complain. Next morning got up and had breakfast, the breakfast was good had all the important stuff and enjoyable. when we checked out my wife mentioned our interesting find and showed the lady working the desk a picture, she said we should've complained, my wife explained that we were low maintenance and it was really late and we didn't want to up and move rooms at midnight. she did get an apology but that was it seemed like maybe something else could've been done for our inconvenience but nope that was it. My wife travels a ton for work and she is a diamond elite member of BW she wasn't too impressed, she hasn't called BW Head office to say anything but we were a bit sad when left that something could've been done at the hotel level that she will have to take it up with corporate now instead. But we did enjoy the rest of our vacation and our stop in Grove City BW on the way home review coming!

I was impressed with this Hotel. It was very clean. This was the 1st time that I was able to sleep through the night. The bed was so comfortable. The staff was great. The staff was informative and helpful. The price was great. The area had multiple restaurants and stores that were walking distance. Friendly atmosphere.

I had an overall good stay here. The motel has been recently updated....I found the room to be large, comfortable, and it met my needs. It had a fridge and microwave, which came in handy. Free breakfast met my needs. Temp. was a bit difficult to control in the room, as I needed just a little heat at night, but blower is strong even at low levels, so getting just a bit of intermittent heat to hold temp. is hard with the units that they have; It's tough for me because I am both asthmatic and a heart patient, so air quality/temp. are a big deal for me. Still, it's a decent place to stay.

I liked it!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But I couldn't understand the person at the desk. I'm sorry and it took and hour to figure out where we were staying. We only used one bed and I guess she thought we were not married or anything

Stayed here overnight with family while visiting Colleges with one of my children. Hotel was very accessible and right off of Route 30. Rate was great and they accept AAA. A wonderful Diner was across the street as well as Olive Garden, not to mention a great burger/wings place attached to hotel (you get 10% off as a hotel guest. Room very spacious and clean. Wifi worked great.

Hotel was clean and comfortable. Rooms were immaculate, beds extremely comfortable! The breakfast was absolutely wonderful. Altogether, a terrific value! We will definitely be staying again and again. Please do not change a thing!

Let me begin by saying the staff could not be nicer. They were very efficient and helpful. The outside needs some renovations. The inside lobby has been redone. The elevator is a little scary. (Only rode it once then I stuck with the stairs). The sheets and beds were fine but the bathroom was really old. It had 2 sinks but one of them was by the bathroom door so when someone would come out of the bathroom the door would hit the person as the very small sink right outside the bathroom. Also, GPS is complicated getting you out....basically had to make an illegal u turn every time we needed to get out.

Great hotel, well priced, very clean! Staff was very helpful and friendly. Manager went out of her way to accommodate our reservation needs. Could not be happier with the service we received. Stayed here four nights and everything was great.

clean sheets, nothing really outstanding about this hotel. one out of the three desk clerks I dealt with were friendly. housekeeper (a man) walked into the room without knocking, while my wife was in the room alone.

The outside of the hotel is deceiving. Very nice & clean. Also, Very helpful stall and very friendly. Would stay at this location again location is very convenient. The breakfast was good and the shower in our room was fantastic. Overall good experience... Thank you.

A poor motel as drapes were torn, no wifi and a crying baby in the room next to mine. Connecting door allowed a lot of noise to mess up my stay. Breakfast on the last day was dismal with no hot food. Thanksgiving day breakfast was excellent! I'll try another motel if I am ever in York again.

We were happy to find a decently priced hotel for stay during the Wine Trail experience. It was nice to have somewhere to relax after a long day. We were greeted by a wonderful staff and had special gifts in our room when we entered. Thank you for the wine and chocolates.

Our room was very clean but the hallways and common areas the carpet was torn and coming up. The breakfast was about what you would expect nothing spectacular. On the plus side it was quite and not vey crowded there are plenty of restaurants around.

My stay at this Best Western was fine. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. However, I was staying in the first room closest to the lobby on the 1st floor and I could hear everything going on in the lobby (especially guests walking to and eating at breakfast). Additionally, I was woken up in the morning by a stranger coming into my room. Between the noise and someone entering my room, I was not able to sleep much in the morning.

we stay here twice a year for 4 or 5 days, as vendors at the TCA York train meet. We have been staying here for about 10 years. Its the closes hotel to the show. Breakfast is very good, rooms are nice, clean. Jeff maint. guy is really great. This last trip we had rm. 114, the phone did not work, told front desk they did nothing about it. we had no wakeup call. Had to have my son call us from NJ to wake us up. Shower pressure was not good it had a good pattern but no pressure like we had last trip. Missing from the room was table and or chairs that we usually have. TV CC did not stay on. Jeff got us another one that worked but we had to program it everytime we put the tv on. We always enjoyed staying at the hotel, but now they are raising the rates for TCA week to include Monday & Tue. also raising the daily rate. As a vendor it will hurt us financially. we did book for 3 days next show instead of 5 days. We will most likely look for another place to stay after that. We have been coming to the York show 22 years.

This place is filthy. I killed 4 bugs in the first ½ hour. It is outdated and is a $50 a night room, AT BEST. The internet signal was not strong enough for me to use from the room. I had to go to the lobby to use. I told them that I could not stay there and they told me that there would be no charge. They charged me $89.90 for this hell hole. I suspect it is because I did not “cancel” the reservation in time.

i was very disappointed with my stay here this time, although not with the night clerk-she was fabulous. I was so tired, having driven up from Greensboro, NC that day, the problems started when I got to my room. I took off my shoes first thing, my feet were dying. I reached for a tissue out o the wall dispenser and the entire dispenser fell out of the wall. Then I went into the bathroom and noticed how tight it was, basically no room around the toilet. In the room, the refrigerator was making an annoying ticking sound, we had to keep the tv on all night to sleep. The sounds from the other rooms and the parking lot were particularly loud. All I wanted to do was eat and sleep, in a comfortable room. I was so disappointed. This was my third time at this location and even though I had booked ahead, and used my Best Western card, it seemed I was given no consideration. I wasn't looking for special consideration, only human consideration. I come to York about once a year to come to a destination bookstore. I will probably not come back to this location, I deserve better.

Stayed for last 2 nights of our road trip for last minute shopping etc. Good location and easy to find. Rooms were large, comfortable with fridges etc. Hallways could do with updating but no problems at all and breakfast was on until a reasonable 10.00am.

Very nice rooms since they have been remodeled, cleaned every day with fresh towels. Rooms have mini frig, coffee maker, micro wave and a nice big screen tv. Free self serve breakfest enough to get you started in the morning until lunch time. Hotel help was very good and very polite. If ever in the area again we will definantly stay there.

Room was clean, but sparse. Bed was very uncomfortable. Telephone did not work. Breakfast was barely adequate. Did not come up to BW standards. Would not recommend this motel. It just doesn't compare with other BW's we have stayed at both in the US and in Europe.

This Great Western motel, just a few miles off I-83 in York, PA, is reasonably priced and clean. A restaurant next door is fun and convenient. Every piece of equipment in the tiny Fitness Center is in good working order. The rooms are quiet and the beds are comfortable. Can't beat the price.

Most hotels do not offer a hot breakfast. i only ate the eggs but i did enjoy the taste. Working nights, during the day while I am awake, I want to get on my laptop which at times was not possible. they need to have a stronger signal coming to that hotel.

We enjoyed our stay even though it was for only 1 night. Room was very clean and neat. Staff were professional and helpful. We were able to reserve a 1st floor room for my disabled husband even on a "last minute" reservation. Bathroom was very clean and both queen beds were comfortable. We would recommend staying there and would ourselves stay there again.

The service was great. The room was very clean. The staff was helpful. The breakfast was not the best. There was one person working and she could not keep up with the amount of people that there were.

Despite being in a great location adjacent to a great bar, this property is getting tired. I last stayed here in 2016 and stayed here 1 August this year. Rooms smelt musty and of cigarette smoke. The staff on front desk didn't appear interested in resolving. As a Best Western Diamond member I expected better. Sadly I won't be staying here again.

Stayed here for three nights while visiting Gettysburg. It was the closest we could get for a decent price. First room selected had really bad mattresses and we switched to another first floor room down the hall. Breakfast had a decent selection. We were a little taken aback one afternoon when we came back as the place was swarming with police and a coroner's rep was working on a lap top. Was told there was an elderly woman who died, but overheard one of the cops ask the hotel rep who had access to that room and to save the security tapes for a day, so that raised some suspicions. My grandson was a little freaked out that someone may have been done in next to the room we had almost stayed in. The hotel does seem to be in a safe area but I noted that York itself has a much higher crime rate than the national average. Wi-fi was quite slow.

The front desk staff were courteous and helpful. The room was about 6 out of 10 for cleanliness upon my arrival. It did not get any better throughout my 3 night stay. The water pressure in the shower was the very worst I have ever encountered while traveling. The building is a bit run down and has need of basic up keep. The breakfast was better than most self serve type situations. The location was good in that there are several restaurants very close. Overall this property was of lower quality than I expect of a Best Western hotel.

Was a great hotel to stay in and the minor problem was quickly corrected. We called about an hour before getting to the hotel to make the reservation. Liked that we were able to walk to dinner right next door.

Check other location in the area for better a deal. Best Western may try but for me they personally missed the mark. I know this supposed to be an economical facility but it was lacking especially in security. If I go back to the area I will definitely look around for better accommodations.

I was not satisfied with with the service provided. The electricity went out and no one seemed to be concerned about the issue since it was not an internal issue and no one offered an alternative to the issue.

1st No Power Is No Good, I got up early in the morning gasping for air due to my Cpap wasn't working the aera had lost power, we had to shower in the dark to deal with super slow tub drainage. During packing I found someone else's glasses on the floor near the bed.

Very good motel and eating places within walking distance. Just across the parking lot. We have been staying at this motel every year since it was built. Also has a good breakfast. Not just yogurt and sweet rolls.

Although this hotel is dated and it does smell a little older. It is currently being renovated. I was a little concerned when we arrived and I first took it all in. However, once we were settled in, I found the hotel to be incredibly clean (I used to clean hotel rooms, so I always check everything). The breakfast was very nice and the eating area appeared to have just been remodeled. The front desk staff was helpful and friendly. I would highly recommend this hotel for any traveler that wants a nice breakfast and a clean place to stay at a reasonable price.

night staff after 10 pm is unpoliteness, and I requested no smoking room,but it turned smoking room,I could sleep whole night. When I talked to front desk,he told that all full at night,but should they check before the guests check in?The housekeeping is terrible as well.

Spacious rooms, clean, good wifi, reasonable price. I recommend getting a room on the top floor just to avoid having someone above you. It's better on the inside than it looks on the outside, so don't be frightened off. Standard BW breakfast.

The reservation process was unbelievable! It took most of an afternoon and 4 telephone calls since NO ONE ever called me back (any of the 4 times), as promised. The appearance of the hotel is worn and the breakfast is mediocre at best. It's hard to make powered eggs and "snausages" (dog treats) look very appealing! Basically waffles and doughnuts...that's about it. The beds were good and the room was clean. That's about the best part of it. Next year I'll check with the La Quinta next door before making my reservation!

Hotel is away from the road. Our room had a Jacuzzi and a large king bed. Room was clean as most hotels can be. The bench at the end of the bed and two spots by the entry way had stains and the light as you entered was out. Many switches did not work any lights in the room. We would stay here again.

This hotel never should have accepted our reservation as they were under construction. Out of complete power at 1:00am...no A/C nothing. Have used Best Western many times and have never had a problem.

Hotel was terrific overall, but all the external doors were propped open with rocks, which concerned me a bit... Front desk staff very helpful. Room was not ready at 3:15 PM, but they were fully booked and suggested a local restaurant.

Very nice, close to unz convention center. Clean, looked nice. Breakfast was good, nice selection to pick from. There were lots of seating in this area. Staff were willing to help you and make your stay pleasant.

Our room had no cloths rack to hang jackets or my wife"s dress. The food handler in the breakfast area did not wear gloves.It took almost a half hour for the service counter person to get me a Pleas do not disturb tag for my room. The hallways and community area have a very strange order.The room was clean but the A/C was very noisy. There are other Hotels in the same area.

I have stayed at this hotel for the last couple of years during the month of June. This year they have done some remodeling and the room we had was wonderful. We had a big jetted tub, walk in closed, king size bed and a couch which converted to queen size bed.

The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was slightly dated but very comfortable and clean and welcoming. We stayed in the whirlpool suite. The suite was huge. The whirlpool was awesome and in the room but by itself in a alcove ... We have a great visit

We have stayed in a lot of motels on this motorcycle trip and this is a good choice if you are spending any time in York. The service has been very good so far, we staying here four nights. The room we have is very nice and large as well as clean. The breakfast is very good also. It's a great place to stay.

This is a good, basic, remodelled hotel. No bugs, no loud fans, great breakfast. remodelled lobby and 3rd floor (working on floor 1 and 2). Roadhouse restaurant next door. Others within walking distance and situated near malls and attractions. No problem with anything here. Book it, Dano!

We got a great rate on one night at this hotel, and I stayed here with my husband and two small children on our way further north in Pennsylvania. The front desk staff were helpful and efficient. A free hot breakfast with stay is always a nice treat, especially when you are traveling with small children. The rooms were adequate, clean, and comfortable. I thought the beds were more comfortable than your average hotel in this class. If you're looking for value, this is a great choice.

I have stayed here 5 nights now in total, and my current visit made the decision to go with 3 stars. The hotel is located well for my purposes, and always fits my company's travel policy. There are several decent restaurants nearby, including an Olive Garden, a Ruby Tuesday's and a Quaker Steak within walking distance. This hotel is older, and while some rooms have been updated, some have not. I usually reserve a non-smoking king room, but none of those were available for tonight. All of the king rooms here are fairly up to date regarding furnishings, but the double queen room I am in right now is out of date. The king rooms have outlets in the right places, the double queen room has a power strip on the side of the desk that wasn't plugged in. This required moving the desk and the TV/dresser to access the only outlet on that wall for my laptop. On the bed side, the side table had to be moved to plug in my phone charger for the night. All of the king beds I have slept on have been fine, but one of the two queen mattresses in my current room has a low spot in it I can see without even pulling back the covers. On the positive side, every room i have had here has been very clean, save the one night I had a room still dusty from the new ceiling tiles they apparently JUST installed in the bath area. The room I have tonight smelled musty, but I turned on the AC while I was out to dinner, and it was fine when I returned. Negatives... the covered entry area ajoins the back of the restaurant in front of the hotel, and of course, the back of the restaurant is the smoking/garbage area. This makes the entry of the hotel seem filthy and somewhat foul smelling, not welcoming at all. I'm also not impressed with the security of the other entrances to the hotel. The card readers work fine, but none of the locks actually do anything. You can just pull the doors open. Overall, there are two other hotels in the York area I check first. If their rate is in my company guidelines, I stay there... making this my third choice locally. They have some work to do to become number one for me, but I don't see them fixing that entrance any time soon.

The room was clean, but showed wear (wall paper peeling and stains on carpet). The refrigerator didn't not work, after the first night stay I informed the front desk and they said they would take care of it but never did. I also called the front desk for extra towels and they said that they were extremely busy and that if we wanted towel we would have to come down and get them. The AC/heat in the room was awful, it was extremely loud, and the controls didn't work well. I would not stay at this hotel again.

Great place to stay in York, near the fair grounds and close to all the major rest. & stores. We stay here twice a year for the train show at the fair grounds in April & October. closes hotel to the fair grounds. Clean, good breakfast, easy to get to. plenty of parking. Easy access to Route 30 and to the fair grounds. Near malls & movies. Rooms are big and shows great with good water pressure.

It is an older Hotel.We could see in the ceiling there had been a leak from upper room.The closet had no bar for hanging our clothes.Wall paper coming loose from walls.Over all our 2 night stay was pleasant.No noise.

Room was not very clean, even had spot of blood on bedspread. Staff did their job, but generally unfriendly, cold atmosphere. Breakfast was a joke, nearly empty, even early in the morning. I did have a quiet room.

The staff was kinda... blah. My check in was delayed because the front desk worker needed to smoke, and when my key didn't work i had to wait until she was finished smoking to get into my room. she didn't wash her hands before fixing my issue. The room was raggedy looking and the hallways were ALWAYS LOUD!

Met our expectations. Loved the nearby restaurant Quaker Steak and Lube. Friendly staff, good breakfast and conveniently located on Route 30. Will certainly stay here again when in this area of Pennsylvania.

Dirty room with odors. Décor was old and dated. Towels (2) were threadbare. The desk lamp had no lightbulb nor did the fan/heat in the bathroom plus it was wide open missing the cover. Missing electrical face plate near bathroom sink. Outlet for desk and TV did not work even after calling front desk. It was a poor choice for us.

I can assure you we will never be back and will make sure anyone we know traveling to York knows about our experience.

Went with a group of volleyball families. Two separate rooms had verified bed bugs (photo proof). Found hairs in bed and on pillows before as soon as we pulled down the sheets. Very rude check out woman when we all wanted to leave. Gross place. Don't go here.

on a recent group stay here, 4 people had to leave the hotel because of bugs and construction near their rooms. They overbooked- should have not rented the rooms on the same floor as the construction. Very disappointing.

We were put on the 3rd floor where they were doing remodeling. We got 10% off but did not expect to be in a construction zone. Our tub filled up with water just from taking a shower. I would ask up front if you are on the 3rd floor. If so do not go there.

Poor quality for the money. My room smelled like smoke. Poor breakfast. Nothing offered that was in any way healthy. Concerned about personal safety when entering or leaving the hotel. Parking lot looked like a construction zone. Elevator door did not close properly. Outside security doors were not locked. Bed was old.

Clean room. Comfortable bed. Big fluffy pillows. Great price. WIFI Great. Microwave & fridge clean & worked good. Would be nice to have more hot breakfast choices though. Waffles were good. Eggs were nasty. French toast was cold & kept with the muffins & bagels. Had to heat it in the toaster. Didn't taste good. Orange Juice & coffee were good. Should allow more time for breakfast though for non-early birds.

The room was very clean, and the bed was extremely comfortable. We enjoyed the jacuzzi very much. We ended up missing breakfast because we enjoyed sleeping in without the kids to wake us up! The check-in staff was friendly and helpful, as well as knowledgeable about surrounding hot spots and places to visit. This was a birthday night away, and we will certainly be visiting Best Western again!

We have stayed here sunday-friday mornings since dec 2015 except wekends.The front desk personal have been terrific.We are finally checking out wont be back.Housekeeping needs to learn rooms get vaccumed and not just when someone has checked out,they need to learn "change linens today"means pillow cases not just sheets!! Im tired of complaining the women at the desk have tried to fix things but its been the same complaints since december every week and its not working for me.If I wanted to be cheap and stay at a dirt bag of a hotel I wouldve been staying at the econo lodge off of 81 waste of money.Yes im sure bout my linens cause ive left little ink marks even showe it to the front desk.The asst manager says Im sorry,Im sorry to for throwing my money away!

Unfortunately at this particular location (York, PA) my overall experience was not very satisfying. There were some items in the Bathroom that needed repair and the lighting can be upgraded. My room was very far from the Guest elevator, but I think I neglected to inform the Hotel that I had a physical disability so there could give me a Room that was a bit more accessible to the elevator. I have stayed at other Best Western Hotels with very satisfying results. This one bad experience will not change my opinion of Best Western Hotels which I basically find reasonably priced, clean and comfortable.

I choose to stay at this hotel every three or four weeks. It is close to major roads and two restaurants are within a short walk of the lobby. The hotel has undergone major renovations ,both inside and out. It was very good internet connections and a nice breakfast bar. The staff is excellent and the hotel is a very good value.

Was in York, PA for a convention. Stayed a few days at the BW Westgate Inn. Overall was a good stay. The hotel is a bit dated. The carpet in the hallway was a bit bare, but overall the stay was nice. No loud noises. No street noise. Very nice breakfast. Conveniently located in town. A little difficult to get in and out of, but not their fault. I would stay here again.

Excellent place to stay, great staff, friendly and efficient ; services were readily available. Restaurants within easy walking distance and there were five choices. We where travelers and didn't intend to have breakfast but it looked so good we couldn't resist. breakfast was fresh and food was good.

We stay here twice a year for the TCA meet at the fair grounds. It is only a 2 minute drive to the fair grounds. Rooms nice, breakfast good, clean hotel, good showers. We like BW hotels and try to stay at them when the price is right.

I'm rating this for a $100 and under hotel. My room actually came in at $80 and change after taxes. Big room that was clean with no funky hotel odors. My room had a king size bed, TV, microwave, refrigerator and two sinks. More than enough room for a guy on a business trip. My only complaint with my room would be that the walls are a bit thin and my AC wasn't loud enough to drown out the noise from guests around me. The breakfast was your standard waffles, fruit, bagels, cereal, eggs and sausage. I'm happy with my stay and would stay here again if in town.

During our stay, a maid who could not understand English, didn't service our room, didn't change our linens or bathroom towels, didn't empty the garbage. We came back at 9:30pm to see that we received no service, when I went to the desk they said they could not do anything because they had no housekeeping staff on duty. The management staff would not offer me a refund or discount even though they received my money for the service we did not get! Best Western Corp and Priceline.com would not help me either!

The motel offers basic lodging for a reasonable price. It is located several hundred feet off a major highway. The location may be hard to notice at night as the establishment is on a side street somewhat hidden by a restaurant. It was clean and had a few basic amenities. The walls of my room were ok for sound deadening. However, the door attaching to the adjacent room did allow some noise (neighbor's tv). Typical motel breakfast. The staff was friendly. The establishment is good for a night or two for someone passing through.

close to the factory good parking for motorcycles which is a plus rooms were clean and well maintained,, the staff was friendly, having on site good breakfast buffet was very handy . only downside as with most facilities is the coffee wasn't very good

This hotel is located in "west" York next to Quaker Steak and close to West Manchester Mall. There is an Olive Garden and Smokey Bones Restaurant across the street. Check-in and Check-out was fast and friendly The room was clean and comfortable. It is an older motel and the halls had a musty smell. The breakfast was the basics.

Booked room a room for my husband last minute for golf tournament on Sat morning. According to him, Good rate, nice room, fantastic complimentary breakfast and it opened early enough for him to grab some breakfast before early tee time. In room coffee was better than most offered at other hotels. Already booked our room for next golf outing in a week. I plan on joining him on this next trip. Will update review if I disagree with his assessment. Close to many of the golf course he plays.
