Great Hotel and Location. Wonderful stay with no complaints. Breakfast was great with lots of options. The view was breathtaking. I'll be going back soon. Many stores, restaurants and Pubs near by. Service and the staff always pleasant and easy to deal with

    « Friendly Staff »

I just stayed for 3 nights while in town for a work trip. Upon arrival I asked if it were possible to have a room with a balcony and was lucky enough to get one with a great view overlooking the golf course and hills. You could also see the lake in the distance. The room was nice and clean and I liked how there were restaurants within walking distance. All of the staff were super friendly and cheerful. If ever in town again I would definitely book this hotel again.

« Great Get Away Choice »

Been back various times since this location first opened, it has maintained very well since. The rooms are well laid out with all the amenities. One factor that keep us coming back; friendly staff, great location, 15 mins. and you are in Kelowna. I will be staying there again very soon on my way to Calgary!!

« Good place to stay for a kids hockey team »

Great place. Location is great and lots to places to get food close by or order from. The pool was a great place to let the kids hang out and swim together as the parents sat around and chatted. Room was quiet, clean, comfy. Simple answer is worth the money for sure.

« Great View Good Service »

The Best Western Plus is a consistently good brand performing above other similarly priced hotels. After calling the nearby Super 8 motel and being told they wouldn't honor their online price I contacted BWP Kelowna and was given and excellent deal. Our room overlooking the next door golf course was incredible and the pool/water slide was excellent. Service was overall good with the only downside being that the ice maker on our floor was broken our entire stay.

« Great location and value »

Check in was quick, easy and friendly. The room was fairly clean, well decorated. Breakfast was good and the room was inviting plus it had a view of the golf course and mountains so it was rather enjoyable. Overall experience was pleasant and I will be heading back there again.

« Excellent hotel and great location »

Staff were friendly and very accommodating. Beds were great and rooms were quiet even with a full house for both nights. I would recommend to anyone to stay at this location. Pool was a perfect temp for small children and the hot tub was a great temp as well.

« Perfect hotel for us and all our needs! »

I recently stayed at The Best Western in West Kelowna and I absolutely loved it-I will definitely stay here next time I visit! The hotel has very cozy rooms, a tasty hot breakfast and a nice big pool with a waterside. This hotel is very close to some beautiful wineries and lots of shopping close by within walking distance. Everyone from the front desk agents to the housekeeping staff at this hotel were so friendly and welcoming, and a huge thanks Bryce for your amazing customer service and ensuring we had the most enjoyable stay :) See you soon!

    « Two nights »

Decided to stay in Kelowna for a couple of nights. The hotel was great. The front desk was very helpful and friendly. The rooms were spacious. The breakfast buffet had a wide variety of choices. There were actually servers who came to take dishes and offer fresh coffee. Probably one of the best included breakfasts we have had. Nice and clean and organized. Just wish they would get rid of the disposable dishware, much nicer to eat off of real dishes. The gym was good but be prepared to walk through the pool area as it is with most of the hotels and I'm not sure why especially because you will have shoes on. The washrooms double as change rooms so make sure you don't have to use the bathroom especially if there is a small family in there changing. You do have to drive almost 20 minutes to get to town so it depends on what you are there for. We didn't mind the drive and would have had to drive no matter where we were in the city.

    « Good service »

This place goes above and beyond every time I stay here. Salt water pool is nice. As well as the outside hot tubs. Central to everything with a shuttle to downtown and the airport. Good for business or pleasure. Wine tour etc. One of the better hotel service I have ever received.

Our overall experience at your hotel was fantastic! The best part was your staff at the front desk. I can't thank them enough for making our Kelowna hockey tournament experience so enjoyable. I will definitely choose your hotel chain for future travel!

« Great location with wonderful view! »

This hotel has balconcies with great views of the golf course and hills. It is conveniently located close to shopping, many restaurant choices, from fast food to fine dining, and local wineries. It has a pool and waterslide to entertain the kids.

    « Hockey team nightmare »

Hotel was clean and checkin was easy, hotel was full do to 2 hockey teams and extremely rude and loud. Boys (kids) running up and down the halls, they took over the pool (and area)! Our reason for choosing this location was for the pool and slide for our Grandkids, but we could not enjoy. The boys pushed my granddaughter down the slide and then landed on top. She was terrified, she weighs 50lbs, the boy weighed 100. I complained at the desk but the poor woman was alone and had repeatedly asked this group to settle down. The parents had taken over the foyer (drinking) and the kids were unsupervised!

    « Front Desk Staff. »

This was our 3rd time staying at this Location. This is our place to go for a mini vacation. Great hotel. The 1st 2 times was was my two children and my husband but this last one was a girls weekend away with my daughter and mom (March 17th)and I have to say this costumer Service was off the charts. The 2 front desk workers were so great, especially The Young Man that has a British Accent. My daughter enjoyed talking to him and he was very pleasant to her and showed interest while he was showing him the things she had bought at the mall. He went out of his way to look for a swim cap for her as she didn't want her hair to get wet in the pool. The women was also very nice that was working that evening. We will defently be back.

    « A quick overnight »

I stayed here overnight when I had a business meeting in West Kelowna. The hotel was clean and well kept and the room was quite comfortable. There was a little sitting area with a small couch, desk and chair and then the sleeping area. The little fridge and microwave oven are also a nice addition to the room. The bathroom was a good size and there was decent water pressure. The bed was very comfortable and I had a surprisingly good night's sleep before my meeting. Breakfast started at 6:30 which was very nice since I had to get up and out by 7:30. Breakfast was pretty standard, with cereal, toast, etc. There were also some egg rounds that were rather tasteless but the bacon was surprisingly good. The dining room was quite large which was good since it was busy. I didn't spend much time here so I can't really say much about the rest of the hotel or the location but the staff I met seemed friendly and helpful.

« A very Warm and heart felt welcome from all the staff and I mean all the staff, »

Out of all the Hotel's in the Kelowna I chose to stay at the Best Western Wine Country Hotel & Suites. I checked in with a young lady named Ylva at the front desk. Ylva was very professional in the way she handled my registration upon my arrival. She had a Smile on her face and was very pleasant to talk to. I went to my suite and checking things out , I found that the safe was not working. I called the front desk and explained to Ylva what was wrong that the safe was not working. Carli House Keeping Manager came to my suite and was very helpful in first locating the maintenance man to look at the safe. And said the safe needed to be replaced. Carli then informed the front desk and between Ylva and Carli they moved me to a new Suite and everything was working properly . I really appreciated the professionalism of both these lady's. I noticed that there was a table and chairs in the pool area. I went to the front desk and spoke to Hayden Keller about this situation that my daughter and husband and eight children were coming to have pizza at my hotel . Hayden informed me very politely that no food in pool area , but had a very nice solution for me. He opened up part of the meeting room for me and my daughter and her family. What a very kind and understanding gesture on Hayden's part. The 8 children had never seen such a long table before. We all had a very nice time eating thanks to this wonderful person Hayden. The whole family really like the pool and it was good to see my Grand Children. I want to say a Very Big Thankyou to all your staff for making my stay most enjoyable. God Bless you all!!! Douglas Dixon

A girl was training so it took a while to check in, the computers were slow she said. The room was great, the pool & hottub were awesome, the breakfast was hot, I wish the butter wasn't frozen and the eggs weren't rubbery. Other than that it's a great spot.

    « February, 2018 »

Rooms are clean, good beds and soft pillows. Rooms supplied with coffee machines, and small fridge. An exceptional complimentary breakfast provided. Staff very professional, personable and more than willing to meet the public's needs. We would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to family or friends.

    « Reasonable »

The service and room were great, except for the very loud heater that blew so strong it blew our hair around as we slept. Noisy off and on all night. If BW ever finds a better and quieter way that the rooms it would be five star.

    5
    « Friendly »

A welcoming reception (front desk clerks were all friendly, efficient & helpful after a long day of trave) the room was pleasant (nice to have a mini fridge), nice pool & gym. Good selection of breakfast foods. I would highly recommend

« Overall great hotel, nice room & friendly staff ! »

I was overall pleased with my stay. Staff were friendly and helpful. The room that I stayed in was very nice and spacious and clean. I enjoyed the fitness centre which is bigger than most hotels on average. Although I did not use the pool or hot tub, they looked very nice and appealing.

« Blood and Human Discharge on the sheets. »

After our checkin at your west Kelowna location my wife laid down for a nap and got up around 6pm. We had dinner then went for a swim in the pool and then went back to the room and went to bed. The next day when we opened the curtains we discovered the sheets had a yellow discharge on them and spots of blood. This of course was horrifying, so we notified the front desk and the young man moved us to another room and let us know that was all he could do because it was the weekend and the manager was not reachable. We accepted the new room where we showered because of the disgusting feeling we were left with. We then checked out the next morning before the manager arrived as my wife had a business conference in Kamloops that morning. The front desk person let us know that the manager would call us that morning. I did not get to talk to the manager until I called there later that afternoon. She then called me back Tuesday around 3pm to tell me that I must have had a scab that came off and bled on the sheets and that the yellow discharge stains were normal and that they off to the side so that wasn't a big deal. Of course this left me mortified and I have no idea in what world it is acceptable to have a guest sleep in that and then blame them for causing the stains that the housekeeping staff didn't bother to do their job. My wife and I are now visiting the doctor to make sure we didn't "catch" anything. So thanks so much for the great service. I'll be letting everyone know about our stay.

Excellent hotel - the pool/hot tub/water slide were fantastic. Great breakfast and great location. Rooms were a good size and layout - not the most comfortable bed ever, but pretty good. Clean rooms and friendly staff!

    « Priced & Located Just Right »

We have stayed here many times, mainly because it is a clean nice hotel that is priced well. The staff are friendly. The breakfast is nice and it is located well. Also it feels way safer than down town :)

« Very well maintained and friendly staff! »

My wife and I came into town for a funeral. It was a quick trip and we needed rest to be able to preform the music at the ceremony. We felt very comfortable and welcomed in a potentially stressful time.

    « Great stay »

We were very pleased with our stay here, quiet, clean and very comfortable room. The breakfasts were excellent and service in the cafeteria was very attentive and kind. The pool and hot tub very pleasant. We would come back for sure.

« Best business stay ever »

I travel a lot for business and I was so thankful that the staff took great care of me. The night auditor knew I was up early after the first day and had coffee ready for me the rest of the stay. Would highly recommend for business or pleasure. In the summer-the lake is right down the hill within walking distance and it is just beautiful. Very clean and kid and dog friendly and quiet.

    « A little get away »

We arrived at the hotel and told our room was up graded to a suite. What a wonderful surprise. The room was very spacious and very comfortable. We enjoyed our stay very much. We slept better than at home. The pool and hot tub added fun for our grandkids who came to visit us. Thank you very much.

    « Good stay. »

We stayed for 2 nights during our provincial road trip in the summer and were glad we came here instead of the BW downtown -- the West Kelowna location is quiet and you have nice views of rolling hills and a golf course across the street! It also seems still quite new with its furnishings and decor. More PROS: 1] wifi always worked, 2] there was always a table available at breakfast, 3] large parking lot with nearby amenities like Walmart, pub, Japanese restaurant, 4] the best waterslide ever in a WARM pool! (but watch out for the college kids who literally bodysurfed the pool from the slide.) CONS: 1] smallish flatscreen tv, 2] four square pillows to sleep on instead of traditional rectangular pillows -- uncomfortable and hard, 3] front desk was in training so they forgot to tell us our room was ready; and one front desk employee was pretty harsh with trainee which does not make for a nice check-in. I still recommend this BW and it was cheaper than the downtown Kelowna one.

    « 2 night stay Best Western |Plus West \\kelowna B.C. »

This was about the nicest hotel room I have had during my travels, everything was perfect, beautiful room, clean, everything I need, the Continental Breakfast was the total best, I can not say enough nice things about the hotel, the front desk was so helpful and nice and house Keeping all was excellent. I would stay there again any time and the price was right.

« It has it all »

Great place to stay being a central location and having everything you would need in a hotel. If I had to complain it would that the T.V was tiny but all the rest was perfect! Very nice pool area and friendly staff.

« Good place to stay »

I found the staff friendly and helpfull. The room was nice and I got a good sleep. I enjoyed the breakfast. I regret not having swim shorts with me. The express checkout was convenient. I diddnt stay during popular time but I had no trouble finding good parking.

« Still a great place to stay! »

I stayed here earlier in the year and it was a very pleasant experience. I discovered they have a new manager and wondered how I would find it now but I needn't have worried. If anything, it is nicer. The staff were even MORE friendly, sorting out a room key issue in such a cheerful manner I was almost glad I had a problem in the first place. I always think staff make or break a hotel and they certainly make it here. The bed was as large and comfortable as I remembered it and the shower excellent. I hope to return.

    « Wonderful time »

We stayed over Christmas and Boxing Day and really enjoyed our time. Despite working on the holidays the staff were welcoming, accommodating, and really kind. Breakfast was tasty, the rooms are very clean, the pool and water slide are well maintained and super fun. We went with 2 other families and our own 4 children and had such a relaxing, welcoming time. We'll definitely be back.

    4
    « Christmas Stay »

We stay at this hotel 3 to 4 times a year for 3 or 4 nights per trip and are always very satisfied with the property, staff and service. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a quality place to stay.

Really good rooms very comfortable beds. The only fault I could find was as most hotels the toilet is so low you are almost on the floor The included breakfast was really good and included hot and cold items they even had decent coffee

« Fragrance friendly Hotel for environmentally conscious guests »

Entire facility smells clean. Rooms and Laundry smell very fresh without smelling like chemicals and invasive air fresheners. Aprox 10km from Kelowna Hospital. I highly recommend this Hotel to anyone going to Kelowna for Medical services. You will have a great rest and enjoy your stay. Hotel is beside additional dining choices as well as shopping.

    « Nice visit »

We picked this hotel for the location and the water slide and pool for the kids. Was pleasantly surprised by the excellent service and accommodation of the staff. The free breakfast was good too. Would go there again.

    « Fantastic Stay! »

Amazing staff!! Great attention to detail and very friendly. Perfect location in West Kelowna. Extremely clean and well maintained. Had a fourth floor room overlooking the highway but it was quiet and we heard next to no traffic noise. Pool was great and we really appreciated the adults only swim time in the evening. Would definitely recommend this hotel to others. Already looking forward to our next stay!

Stay at this hotel during my child's volleyball tournament. The hotel was clean and the room very comfortable. The adult swim after 9pm is a great idea. I would certainly recommend this hotel to anyone.

    « Positive Team Experience »

We were in town for a hockey tournament and the hotel exceeded our expectations for the style and cleanliness of the rooms. The staff were very helpful and their attitudes were great, very positive. A great visit.

    « Staff People Skills »

This would have been a much more relaxing stay had we not had to listen to children running/racing one another up and down the hallway and scratching at our door. We reported the issue to front desk, repeatedly, challenge was they were only ones on shift to address it, so this meant they had to man the front desk and try to address the issue with the kids too. This, we are sure was virtually impossible for them to do, most of the time. Not once did front desk staff ask us if we wanted to speak to a manager. I had to put it out on Twitter, for this suggestion to be made. The children were rude. The parents no where to be found while their children ran up and down the hallways, I say hallways because at one point the front desk staff saw them on another floor. Director of Operations helped us resolve this, right before we checked out.

    5
« Stayed during hockey tournament »

Our hockey team stayed for three nights. The room was clean and the staff was great. There were at least 3 teams at the hotel. Our team was not one of the teams with rowdy players and parents mentioned in a previous review. The hotel staff appreciated that our kids had curfew each night and coaches checked the halls to make sure all our players were quiet and in their rooms. The staff had to manage a difficult group of parents from another team and relocated one of our families to a room away from the loud group. The free breakfast was perfect for our team. There is also a Tim Hortons, a restaurant/pub, and pizza place right in the same parking lot. Close to grocery stores as well. The parking lot side of the hotel is quieter than the back (view) side because of the road right behind the hotel. Pool and water slide are perfect for kids. We stayed in an "executive king suite". Lots of room, 2 bathrooms, fridge, .... Beds were comfortable. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

    5
    « Hockey team frustration »

I must say I applaud the staff at this hotel. We did not realize that there were three hockey teams in house this weekend. Bad planning on our part. The staff had a lot to deal with from totally disrespectful kids to their parents. They let their kids run the hotel staff to a status of pure insanity. Come on parents teach your kids to respect others and then maybe they will respect you too. Again the staff were amazing with what they put up with. Maybe the hotel should not rent to minor hockey teams any more and get some of the other hotels in the area to do the same.

    5
« CFriendly, clean and affordable »

This hotel was nice and quiet. Clean and friendly atmosphere. Upon check in we were offered an upgrade. The room was large and very comfortable. The room was also very quiet and the beds very comfortable.

    « More like a 4* Hotel! »

We will come again. The hotel is very nice, the staff is very kind and helpful, the prices are reasonable (especially if you get a view room). We enjoyed our stay and will come again! Excellent place for children!

« Great for business or our next weekend away »

I stayed for business and enjoyed my stay. I great central location, lots of nearby amenities and attractions. The staff were great and the place very clean. My only comment would be to say I think my sheets were the wrong size, way too much fabric! The breakfast is good, and there is a Tim's right across the way for those who cannot make it through the day without their double double.

    4
    « Pet Friendly »

The suite was very nice. Quiet and spacious. A park close by to walk my dog early in morning. Very nice location. Staff was very friendly. Limited gluten free breakfast items but made out with what was provided. I will return.

« Clean, Amazing Views, Modern, Best "Best Western" we've ever stayed at. »

We came here for a quick overnight with the family. I was amazed at the cleanliness, each bed was comfortable, the views were fantastic, there were no smells, everything felt good. Staff was very nice and the pool and waterslide were amazing compared to many hotels we've been to in the past. I have stayed in some budget dives (and big chain "nice" hotels that weren't so "nice"). This exceeded our expectations. I will be recommending it to friends and family and we hope to return in the future!

    5
    « Clean and courteous »

Pleasant staff. Broad offering for breakfast - fruit, waffles, pastries, yogurt, cereal, eggs & sausage. Easy to get to and in and out of. Clean rooms. Great recommendations for lunch nearby (19) and several options.

    « Good location »

We were a bit concerned when approaching the hotel from the west as it is on a road that has a lot of light industry and shopping malls. But when we reached the hotel we were very happy. It is well set back from the road so is very quiet and overlooks a golf course at the back. We had requested a room at the back so had very nice views. Room was a good size with comfortable beds and pillows. Staff were very friendly and helpful and the hotel itself is only a short drive from the Lake and Kelowna .

    5
« Great place to stay! »

Spent 4 nights at the Best Western Plus Wine Country Hotel & Suites on a recent trip to Kelowna. We had an excellent time. The hotel is clean, the rooms were comfortable and quiet, and the staff all were very friendly. The free internet worked flawlessly and the breakfasts were good. All that and a reasonable room rate. I would highly recommend this hotel and would not hesitate to stay here again.

    « A beautiful and pleasant experience »

I needed to be in town for a medical appointment and have always enjoyed the service at Best Western. I received a compassionate rate which was very helpful and excellent service. The hotel itself is absolutely beautiful and the only negative is I was there for far too short a time. Overall, a terrific staff, a beautiful hotel and one of the nicest areas in BC.

Great hotel - close to a variety of restaurants and wineries. Staff were very friendly and efficient; hotel was clean, modern and room was very comfortable. Breakfast had a nice variety of hot and cold food. Didn't have a chance to use the pool but would make a point of it next time. Would stay here again for sure.

    « Wonderful staff / Clean property »

Just a wonderful experience, the staff was fantastic. Very friendly and went out of their way to make sure my stay was enjoyable. The location is good as it has many eating options within walking distance and a golf course right behind the hotel.

    « Beautiful view »

This BW in West Kelowna looks over a golf course with Mission Hill winery in the background. The staff were pleasant and helpful. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Breakfast was included and offered a great selection of hot and cold food. There are a couple of restaurants close by. We went to the Thai place across the parking lot for supper; it was delicious.

    « Busy location »

We were very satisfied with the standard of this hotel, which met our expectations as a Best Western. We came to Kelowna to explore the Okanagan wine region. There are some excellent wineries not far from the hotel which we can recommend. However, our experience of travelling in the Okanagan was not as relaxing as we expected. The vineyards emphasize that they are not Napa Valley, and that is true! Drivers in Napa respect the wine tourists and don't drive over the posted speed limit, tailgate, or otherwise try to push you off the road while you're trying to enter a winery. There are lots of restaurant options in this area. However, getting to some of them is a bit challenging. Cannot cross the highway to access those directly across said highway from the hotel. Don't even think about walking, you wouldn't survive the attempt. While this is a good hotel, we were happy to retreat to the somewhat slower pace in Penticton.

    « I would come back »

close to everything I needed to reach; lakeside trails for walking, quick drive down to Penticton, work in West Kelowna. Clean, comfortable, close to the highway but quiet with good views overlooking golf course.

After check in we went up to the fourth floor to find our reserved room was still not cleaned. then offered a lesser valued room for 15 dollars a night more ??!!!? Staff is pleasant. rooms are clean. breakfasts are very good. great location. remote did not have full tv functions. bed sheet kept coming off. pillow was too big.

« Comfortable and Affordable Stay in Wine Country »

We would definitely recommend this property. It is close enough to Kelowna to be an easy commute, but far enough that you are not paying top dollar. Clean, comfortable rooms. Staff are very friendly and efficient. And the free breakfast is a nice add-on. Lots of shopping and a variety of restaurants close by. And right in the middle of wine county! A very good choice!

Not a good value for price. Nice location for walking to riverfront park. Hotel was noisy with ability to hear conversations in other rooms and kids running in hallway late at night. Loud train and traffic noise.

    « Highly recommend »

We just spent two nights at the BW Plus wine country hotel. It was a lovely experience. The place is beautiful, clean, modern, tastefully decorated and had all the amenities we could need - fridge and microwave included. The bonus was a room with a balcony overlooking the golf course. The staff at the front desk to Sydney in the breakfast hub made our stay pleasant. We were a party of 9 and we enjoyed our stay. I highly recommend the hotel - we will definitely be coming back.

    « Wine Country Gem »

Were looking for a modern contemporary Hotel in Wine Country. Best Western WIne Country Inn is a hidden Gem! Less expensive than Hotels in Kelowna but just across the bridge in West Kelowna, this hotel is in a nice location. Behind is a Golf Course Country Club with a wonderful restaurant and close to several wonderful wineries: Mission Hills, Quails Gate, and Volcanic Hills. Would definitely stay again.

« Excellent Stay! Thanks for helping us out! »

We arrived at the BW around midnight tired and frustrated from an earlier experience at another hotel. Thank you to Vince who was able to accommodate us and out of his way to make sure we were comfortable during our stay. Everything was great! Very clean, breakfast was great and service was excellent. We would stay at this Best Western again.

« Breakfast staff made the stay! »

Nice place, good rooms, water slide into the shallow pool (smaller kids will do well) but it was the breakfast staff that made the stay so good. Very friendly, personable, paying more attention to the quest than I have seen at many restaurants. If you are going to this area I strongly urge you to stay here.

The hotel staff were very pleasant and accommodating. the hotel was clean and well cared for, nice fitness room as well pool and hot tub which came in handy after a long day on the golf course. Breakfast was very good and quite adequate.

    « Nice hotel »

Very nice hotel, with great staff (with the exception of a Manager who thought it would be best to reprimand a co-worker while we were standing there waiting to checking in) Pleasantly surprised that our room had a small balcony that we enjoyed each night with a glass of wine with a great view of golf course and Mission Hill winery (although not private as there was glass partitions between the balconies on either side) Rooms were a nice size and beds comfortable. The daily breakfast was great ? attentive staff to keep things clean and organized, although fresh fruit would have been nice (bananas, apples or oranges ? or even fresh local peaches!!)

    « Roadtrip Stay »

We stayed at this hotel in Kelowna for two nights during our two week roadtrip. The hotel staff were great, our room was quiet and clean (even though we were close to the elevators), the pool area was alot of fun especially the waterslide (even for adults), and the complimentary breakfast was fantastic with a good variety and again very friendly staff.

This hotel was perfect for us as we were visiting family in West Kelowna. There was a problem with the pool pump so we didn't sleep well but were generously compensated for it on check out. I would highly recommend this hotel

    « QUIET AND COMFORTABLE »

Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was awesome and well worth the stay. The location is ideal close to all amenities and yet quiet at night. The bed not the best we've had but certainly comfortable enough. Clean and nice rooms. TV a little small but again not a major deal. Good value for your money.

« The worst experience in my life »

I booked my trip through trip advisor, which took me to a third party website. I paid on the third party website and got confirmation through trip advisor. On the travel day, I got to hotel with my family. The hotel had asked me to leave my credit card number for pre-authorization in case if I use any water in the room etc....Sure, pretty standard. I left my card number with them. After the trip, when I checked my credit card, I found out the hotel charged me with full amount of staying. I called them and explained that I booked through the third party website Agoda through trip advisor and paid full amount and the hotel should not charge me again. They said they knew that, but they did not get a "number" to get the money from that third party website, Therefore it is MY responsibility to call that third party website that they have business with to chase the money to be able to get my refund. I was very frustrated with this situation: First of all, the third party website that allows people to book is hotel's business partner. The hotel has connection with them through business. It is the HOTEL's responsibility to make sure they get the money from the third party website they do business with, NOT the guest! Secondly, running hotel business should always treat their guest first to ensure they have a wonderful trip. How is it fair to charge the guest full amount again with knowing the guest had paid already through their partner. I feel this is a fraud. I think this is terrible resolution and advice people not to book and stay at this hotel if they do not give the guest fair solution when there is a issue. Not only that, but also they obviously do not care about their guest.

« Still one of the best values during the summer »

We visited this hotel for the 2nd time in 2 years. My review stays relatively the same, with the following notes: Good: - One of the best value options in the Kelowna area - Near Mission Hill Winery and Quail's Gate Winery - Housekeeping is very friendly - Breakfast staff take the time to fill coffee (although not very good coffee) and attend to customers with physical disabilities - Highest internet speed I've ever tested in a hotel: Around 13Mbps download speed, where most hotels are between 1 to 3 Mbps. - The local produce provided for breakfast is fantastic. Peaches were in season and they were some of the juiciest and sweetest peaches I've ever had. Bad: - TV is difficult to use. Despite having instructions to key in 16-1 once I turn on the TV, the remote sometimes didn't work or the TV didn't respond. - Despite facing the golf course, I could hear a lot of heavy trucks passing by at night. - Beds are still a bit too firm and lumpy - Breakfast quality overall seems to be worse with less selection - Person who sends out hotel confirmations needs to check their work. I booked online through the corporate website. The first time I booked, the confirmation was 1 night shorter that what I had booked. When I asked them to correct it, they put in the right number of nights, but used 2018 dates. I eventually cancelled the reservation to change my dates. When I receved the new confirmation, it had the wrong rates. I had it fixed when I checked-in, but added 10 minutes to the check-in process. Overall, still a good stay. We came back because of the good value. I would consider coming back if the price stays comparably cheaper to others of the same tier, but it wouldn't take much for me to find a new hotel either.

    « Bad bed...great otherwise »

We stayed for 3 nights, by the second night our backs were really hurting. It took over 3 days to recover from the bed. I haven't had such a sore back in years. The mattress was horrible. They have a breakfast in the morning, which is average, they ran out of orange juice, it's nothing special. The pool, waterslide and hot tub were excellent. The maid service was great also, it's just too bad the mattress was so horrible. The room was very clean but the curtains were broken and didn't close properly.

    « Solid hotel »

Took the family to Kelowna for a mini vacation and stayed at this hotel. The location is good - right off Highway 97 that takes you in and out of town, and pretty much all businesses are along 97. It's a solid hotel. The room is quite spacious, the bathroom is stocked with all the usual toiletries, and there's a mini fridge too. The beds are comfortable. There is free parking, free wifi, and free breakfast. The breakfast is good, with sausage or bacon (not both. one day it was sausage one day it was bacon), eggs, juices, pastries, bread, cereals, and make-your-own waffles. The kids enjoyed playing in the pool and the water slide. One thing you may not realize just by looking at the hotel website's photos is that the hotel is actually situated in a strip mall. I find it convenient, as you can walk across the parking lot to a couple of restaurants and a supermarket. But if you're looking for an isolated location where you're surrounded by just trees, this is not it. Not a complaint, just a FYI.

    « So unorganized!! »

Our Agency had book a 2 day Strategic Planning Session at the hotel. We booked 8 hotel rooms and the meeting room for 2 days. A couple of days before arrival I called the hotel manager to confirm our reservation. Everything seemed to be in order, I did ask if we can assign names to each hotel room, but the manager said that we can easily do that at check in. Big Mistake!! We arrived at the hotel and the front desk person was so unorganized and frazzled because we had not assigned names to rooms, so it took over an hour to do that. Some of the rooms we booked weren't even available, so some of our staff had to stay in rooms with one queen and a pull out couch instead of two queens. Also, one of our staff members went to check into his room and someone's baggage was already in the room! Super unorganized!! Then to top it off, my boss get a call at 10:30 that night to find out we don't have a meeting room until 1:00 each day because whoever booked the meeting room booked it for 8PM to 4AM and it was supposed to be 8AM to 4PM!! Who in their right mind would book a meeting room for that time in the first place?? Needless to say our Agency was very disappointed in the whole situation! We had to cover all of our agenda items in 2 half days instead of 2 full days, which was so frustrating!! NEVER AGAIN will be book at Best Western Plus Wine Country in West Kelowna!!

« I have zero complaints. I will be back! »

We stayed in the executive suite and it was honestly such a relaxing place that I didn't want to leave. We actually ended up extending our stay by another night just so we could enjoy it a bit longer. I think I slept for 17 hours on the second day because I was just that comfortable. The bed was the perfect amount of firmness, and a KING! My boyfriend and I could easily stretch out completely on this and barely touch each other. It was the best. Everyone at the front desk was wonderful and friendly. The complimentary breakfast was so good that we actually woke up earlier than we needed to to get it. You can DIY your own breakfast sandwich if you get creative. It had everything I wanted. They also have a mini store next to the front desk and you just tell them what you took and they will charge it to your room. Easy peasy! We also loved that they had the air conditioning running in the room when we got there because it was 35 degrees outside and we needed to cool down! It was such a kind, thoughtful gesture and made me feel like they truly care about their guests. There was ample parking and tons of things to do nearby. Restaurants, golfing, the beach... it was so great. I had such a nice time, I could go on forever. We will definitely be back. Thank you for having us.

    « Great Hotel »

This is a great hotel. It is in a good location with lots of amenities around. There is a Dominos Pizza in the same parking lot as well as Burger King and Walmart/McDonald's across the street to name a few. The hotel is modern and new. The rooms are large and quiet. Our room had a large king bed which was really comfortable. There was a fridge, microwave, coffee machine, safe, iron, tv, air conditioning. The bathroom had a portable hairdryer, shampoo, conditioner, soap and lotion. Breakfast was served until 10am daily and was fantastic. There was coffee, tea, eggs, bacon, sausages, make your own waffles, oatmeal, cereal, English muffins, toast, orange juice, apple juice, yoghurts, boiled eggs and pastries. It was delicious! The pool looked good. It seems more like a kids pool. The pool has cool slide coming into it. It's too small to do laps and I am pretty sure you would always be in the splash zone from the slide. For kids, it looks fantastic! There is also a hot tub and a gym. I didn't use either so I cannot comment. The lobby has coffee available daily and there is a little shop to buy pop and snacks. Staff were all really friendly, this is a very clean hotel and i would stay here again. The only thing I wish it had was an outdoor pool to enjoy those Kelowna summers!

    « Average »

Kids loved the waterslide. I enjoyed the Fitness Center as no one seemed to use it so I had it all to myself both days. Breakfast sub par. Presented nicely but taste--blah. The waffle station looked good but I have gluten & dairy issues so couldn't enjoy that. We got a queen suite with pull out. My kids are 7 & 11 and they struggled to fit on the mattress, let alone get a good sleep. The air conditioning in our room was so loud at night and woke me up several times. Parking lot view for all Queen Suites, which is what I was told, that was disappointing especially after coming from Osoyoos where we had a gorgeous lake view. The hotel was clean, the breakfast - altho crowded - would be ok for someone that doesnt have any GI issues. The location is great: Natures Fare, sushi, Tim's & a couple of other restaurants right there. Walmart, Starbucks close by. Would I stay here again?? Don't think know.

Hotel was easy to find, our rm was not ready as we arrived shortly before check-in time front desk called me shortly thereafter informing rm was ready. Parking lot was easy access across the street ,seemed secure enough with lights at night .Noticed hotel staff outside sweeping up ,watering flower baskets on street posts .The front desk staff were good with suggestions for outdoor patio restaurants as we wanted to enjoy the nice weather with a drink with dinner ,after travelling long enough in car

    « Lovely hotel »

As a Best Western Plus, this hotel has more elegant decor with all of the trimmings that you'd expect for Best Western's more upscale hotel. Check-in was efficient. The guest room was large, with an executive desk, chair, and living room-type chair. Children should like the pool, which has a water slide. There is a nice hot tub. My husband was quite pleased to see that there was an exercise room that actually had weights for weight lifting. There aren't many options for restaurants within walking distance except for fast food. I was impressed by the size of the breakfast room, which was larger and had more seating than a typical Best Western. The food was good, and we were even handed a wet washcloth to clean our hands. I hope you enjoy your stay at this hotel as much as we did.

    « Needs some improvement »

Arrived here and found the poor receptionist run of her feet!. A queue of people waiting, the phone ringing constantly (should have an ansaphone for busy times at least) and no one else around to help her. Should have alerted us then to lack of service etc. Having stayed at Best Western hotels all over the world, this one is one of the worst. At breakfast, the room where it was being served was overcrowded - not enough room for the number of rooms and guests. Plastic cutlery and plates (not for a Plus hotel I think). The hot breakfast was awful - saw one guest take a mouthful and then put the rest in the bin - which says it all. Another guest who was a Best western card holder said it was one of the worst he had stayed in.

We needed early bench in at one or 2 because we had a wedding starting at 3 they dissent give us a room until 3. We missed the cermony. It was very upsetting. Other then that our stay was good. The sofa b d was shot in our family suite

    « Disappointing »

I had booked 2 rooms for 2 nights but when checking in receptionist said I had cancelled one of the rooms - but I hadn't! The place was crowded but she 'found' us a room. The poor girl was rushed off her feet - on her own at peak time. Overall this place was no better than a budget motel. Breakfast was awful - supposed to be FULL hot breakfast - but it wasn't. We won't return to this hotel.

    « Great Location »

We booked this hotel because we were attending a wedding in the area. It was in a great location. Minutes drive from the beach, next door to a great restaurant that is in the golf course. Close to shopping and good value. Close to Mission Hills winery as well. The only thing I was not overly thrilled with was the comfort of the bed. We had a king size bed and I found it too firm. Probably good for people with back problems but I prefer a mattress to have a memory foam topper. I would definitely come again.

    « Our Granddaughters wedding »

We have stayed at this hotel in the same location many times. It's lovely and the staff is always professional and friendly. The rooms are clean and comfortable. It's close to getting around for shopping, sight seeing, winery touring, or just relaxing. I would highly recommend this hotel...in fact I already have and several of our friends also enjoy this hotel.

« Outstanding service and friendly personal in a good hotel »

The hotel is good and modern. The service for our check in was great. The lady was friendly and organised us a great table for dinner in a restaurant outside the city. She also organised us some activities for the afternoon (golf). The rooms are large and the beds are super comfortable. From our room in the 4th floor we had a greasy view on the lake and into the valley.

    « Perfect! »

After 3 years we returned to West Kelowna again to visit our family. We didn't need to think twice and booked the Best Western just as in 2014. The stay then was good en now even better. Great check in, friendly staff good complimentary breakfast and a great room. Beds are good and de room clean (houskeeping mist some popcorn under the bed but no problem). Great airconditioning also and that's nice when temperatures outside are tropical. I recommend this hotel to a friend of mine and he will stay there next month, I hope he and his wife has a similar experience. Perfect stay!

    « A Fantastic Place to Stay »

The hotel has been incredible. The rooms are spacious and very clean. Our view of the lake and vineyards from our balcony is incredible. The breakfast is great and the customer service is amazing. The management and staff are courteous and looked after all our needs. We cannot wait to return.

« Hotel has gone downhill »

My family and I have stayed here for the past five years. This year it was dingy, our room smelled and was showing a lack of care. Water in the pool was very murky. Very disappointed with our stay. We won't be back at this location.

    2
« Poor front desk staff »

This hotel is fine, rooms are clean etc but the front desk staff are very poorly trained and aren't very good at their jobs. We stayed in April and again in July as our son was being married in the area. Both times we encountered problems with front desk staff, loosing reservations, simple questions or requests were dealt with slowly, sometimes not being resolved at the first request. They need to better train their employees to better serve their customers.

Housekeeping entered the room without notice while we were sleeping. I woke up right away when the door opened and she just said sorry. Check out was 2 hours later. No compensation or anything from this hotel. Disgusting experience is all I can say. Do not recommend to stay here.

« This BW Goes Above and Beyond »

I am a loyal Best Westerner but I can honestly say, this is one of the best locations I have ever had the pleasure of staying at. I booked the hotel using Airmiles but immediately called to speak to the hotel directly as we required a pet friendly room. The reservation agent was very friendly and confirmed we would be in a pet room. Fast forward a few months, two days before our check in we received an email reminder. Super helpful because I couldn't remember if I booked in West Kelowna or Normal Kelowna. The lady at the check in counter (I regret not getting her name) was fantastic, she was so friendly and genuine. She thought our dog was the cutest thing. Our dog was given a special doggy bag with some treats, poo bags, a ball and a list of local dog friendly areas. Super awesome, and I know not all Best Westerns do this so we really appreciated it! Our room was very nice, the AC worked great and the best part was - the room was so quiet! We didn't hear a sound, no traffic, no other guests - pure silence! We went for a swim, the pool was a great temp, the water slide was fun and the hot tub was so relaxing. We were up bright and early to get on the road home, our receipt was under our door and we were able to head out. Both check in and check out were quick and easy. Unfortunately, because we were leaving so early, we missed out on the full breakfast but other than that-two thumbs up!

« Delightful stay. Lovely staff! »

I've stayed in Best Westerns before but the staff in particular are lovely here: cheerful Laura at breakfast was a pleasure to chat with and all the reception staff were helpful and very friendly. The room was large and comfortable; the bed excellent. A good shower and bath completed the pleasantries. It was also lovely to stay somewhere without any thumping music at night! I would happily return.

    « Kelowna family celebration »

We booked this hotel along with other family members as we felt it was a very good value and an excellent location, close to our gathering place, shopping, and the highway. An excellent executive golf course (Two Eagles) is right next door. Great value for the amenities offered (pool, small fitness room, Free WiFi, free big breakfast, free parking). Excellent service from breakfast and front desk staff. Cleaning was okay but a bit spotty, though the staff responded well to requests for towels, paper, extra glasses. Relatively quiet room. Comfortable bed. Everything worked well. Would stay there again.

Rating based along the lines of this class of hotel and relative to other 3 star hotels only. Location of the hotel was very good given we had a night stopover enroute victoria. Good restuarants as well as a huge walmart nearby. Check in was fast. Rooms were big and comfortable. Had high ceilings which i absolutely adore given it makes the room bigger. Breakfast was good too.loved the pool slide. Had good time with the siblings. Bathroom was big and spacious too. Staff extremely kind and helpful.

« If you show up before 4:00, prepare sit and wait until you are no longer inconvenient »

Be prepared to wait until 4:00 before you can check in. They have a policy that says so, according to the person behind the counter. I have stayed in many hotels over the decades and never met anything like it. At 4:00, 3 hours after I first showed up, I lined up again and was told the room was not ready and had to sit the lobby for a half hour or so. I might have used points and this diminished my ranking, I am not sure I will never go there again. The room was nice (unfortunately lacked toilet paper) and breakfast was good, but I could not overcome the first impression. I was an inconvenience and should go kill time until it was convenient for them. Never again

« 3.5 stars - clean, comfortable and close to the highway »

My wife and I stayed for one night while travelling from Vancouver to Banff. The hotel is very close to the highway and set amongst a range of out-of-town strip-mall shops and restaurants. While it lacks a little in character, staff were welcoming and helpful, the facilities were as you would expect, and the room large and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was included in the room rate and really great. Self service waffles, eggs, bacon and pastries. A super start to the day and end to our stay.

We stayed June 12-17 and it was great, The breakfast staff were awesome and very friendly :) Now about the front desk staff, in the evening there is a very friendly young man named Danny and he was totally awesome, and in the morning is a awesome women named Stephanie she took care of everything I asked for with a smile :) Thanks to those two and the ladies from the breakfast room I will be back :) The pics are the view from our balcony. I do have one complaint I really wish the pool and waterslide were cleaner, the stairs going up the slide are very dirty and lots of hair balls around the pool.

Our stay at Best Western Plus Wine Country Hotel & Suites in West Kelowna, B.C. was excellent. We were there with a group of over 30 people on a four day golf trip. Our hotel room had a beautiful view of the lake and overlooked the golf course. The group met every afternoon in the breakfast room so that prizes for the day's golf game could be given out. We had a great night's sleep on their comfortable beds! Breakfast was tasty and there was lots to choose from. Also, lots of places around to go for lunch or dinner!

Staff was very friendly and helpful at check - in and at check - out. The room was a surprise as we were expecting just another hotel room with a king bed : didn't expect a suite with on suite bathroom. Everything worked out great . I've always been of the opinion that great staff make a good hotel and I wasn't disappointed. The only minor issue we had was lack of parking in the parking lot but there are enough overflow spots in adjacent business parking lots

    « Excellent Stay »

We had a perfect stay at this hotel as customer service is amazing and this hotel is close to many restaurants and the Two Eagles Golf Course. This is our second stay at this hotel and we will be returning next year. There are many wineries close by as well.

    « Perfect Stay »

This hotel was very clean. The rate was very good and the breakfast was to BW standards. Location was perfect for our needs and the staff and house cleaning were excellent. We would highly recommend this hotel if you're planning a trip and stay in Kelowna, B.C.

« Comfortable and close to Okanagan's offerings »

This was our first time in years staying at a Best Western and we were very pleased. Very child friendly with a pool and water slides. The breakfast was good, lots of food available, and just a lovely waitress making all feel at home.

« Decent hotel near by everything »

My wife and I stayed here and I really can't complain. The hotel is clean and well maintained, staff is friendly and amenities are nice and the price was fair. The hotel is close by things to do but you will need a car and will be driving if you stay here, but it does make for a decent hub to stay at. Water slide and hot tub and pool were nice. They do have a gym but it wasn't too big. Overall I would stay here again, but that is because we do drive. Lots of free parking, an ok breakfast and the location made it quite nice!

« Best Western Plus Wine Country »

I have stayed at this property in the past and it has been very good but this visit was not great. Room was not clean, ice machine was not working, hot tub was not working and the staff were less than helpful with any concerns that we had. We have always been happy with Best Western properties but this one was very disappointing.

    5
« Great staff, nice clean hotel. »

I enjoy staying at best Western, staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Clean rooms and comfy bed. And they are in a good location close to restaurants and stores . They also offer wine tours if that is something u are looking for.

    « Stayed for points »

This Best Western Hotel is a typical highway-side hotel with nicely appointed comfortable rooms BUT the usual noisy irritating in-room air-conditioners. Breakfast was also the very standard fair but there was friendly helpful staff re-filling coffee that mitigated in part the sleepless night.

    4
    « Short but sweet »

We only spent one night and did not have a chance to check out the pool area but I did notice a sign stating adult swim only from 9-11pm which I thought was a cool idea. The breakfast had a great selection. It would have been nice if it was served later than 10am.

    « Another excellent sta »

We have had great success staying at Best Western Plus Hotels in the pst few years. Staff are friendly and courteous and very helpful. The facility is excellentand the beds super comfortable. Another excellent stay at Best Western Plus Wine Country. We will be staying here again in July.

« Great hotel in Wine Country... »

After a vigorous day of moving furniture, we stayed here on a Sunday night. There is a great Irish Pub across the parking lot. We admired the cleanliness of the hotel, the rooms were spacious and comfortable. Due to the significant rains and snowmelt, there was a boil water advisory posted all over the hotel, however, only two small bottles of purified water were offered to each room. Not even enough to put through the coffeemaker. This is a great, however pricey place to stay in West Kelowna.

    « Another great stay! »

Two night stay Victoria Day weekend and it was great again! This is a very clean, well-maintained property. It's easy to find and close enough to downtown Kelowna for convenience yet far enough away to enjoy the quiet. This time we requested a "golf view" room (#210) and it was much better than our view of the parking lot on our last stay. The included breakfast was simple but good. I would not hesitate to stay here again unlike the dump in Penticton that bears the same brand name.

    4
« Pricey but excellent breakfast! »

The breakfast options offered in what I initially thought to be your traditional "continental" breakfast (muffins, dry cereal, maybe a bagel or two) were ridiculous! They had a WAFFLE MAKER AND A FRESH PANCAKE DISPENSER. My stay was impromptu and I paid dearly for it, but I like to think the breakfast alone was worth the extra money I ended up paying for the room (which, by the way, was immaculate and very comfortable). Would definitely recommend.

    5
    « Excellent stay!! »

My stay was great and the staff from front desk to the cleaning staff to the kitchen staff treated me with respect and went out of their way to help with whatever I needed! Thanks so much! I would highly recommend this hotel and will most likely stay there the next time I'm in West Kelowna!

« perfect location , great service, free breakfast.. »

Great service, great location, good value, free breakfast...will always go back. One of the best "Best Westerns" we have stayed at. They are not all the same, but this one we will always recommend. Not sure what else to say...We will always go back to this one and are grateful to Stephanie for the great service.

« Great stay for great value. »

Our room was clean, a view of the golf course, a small but efficient work out room, a pool and hot tub plus a great continental breakfast. There is nothing more you could ask for with such a great price. The only downfall is that it is a bit of a drive to downtown Kelowna.

    5
« Nice Clean Hotel - Great for Golfers! »

This hotel has larger than normal rooms, with balcony. Very clean and staff are friendly. Nice to have breakfast included. Close to shopping and could walk to the pub for dinner. A bit far to go to the casino.

    2
    « Great Location - Super Noisy »

The Good: The free breakfast - the ladies that run this breakfast room are super hard working and never seem to be standing still. Even with multiple sports teams and regular guests. Front Desk Staff - very friendly Location - minutes from the hockey rink, several wineries, restaurants, shopping et.c Size of the Family Suite - lots of room - we were a party of 6 - 3 adults, 3 children. Decent size bathroom NOT SO GOOD: Pool is much smaller than the pictures make it look. The slide is a ton of fun for the kids - but if you get more than about 12 people in the pool it starts to get crowded! Not very strict on their sports team policies. Our team had to sign waivers in every room about noise in the hallways etc. - we had a 6am game on a Saturday morning and there were other teams up past midnight playing mini hockey in the hallways, parents drinking and partying in the hallways. I would say that was the reason we didn't sleep but it wasn't. We were in a family suite - room 232 I believe and there is a one bedroom with a king size bed, then a den with a queen and a desk, then a living room with a pull out sofa. There was a noise and vibration underneath us that was so loud it shook our queen bed in the den and kept waking us up all night long. We were told it was the pump for the pool - but that didn't seem to be it. The hotel offered us $150 off of our bill for 3 nights (which was nice)- I am pretty sure you can't put a price on NOT SLEEPING! The other downside was that while we were there (and this was completely out of the hotel's control) there was a major downpour and torrential rains that overflowed the sewers and the drains. The pool and hot tubs were closed, the toilets/taps/showers were murky. What was in the hotels control - The hotel didn't post a notice about the boil water advisory until almost a day later and many of the people travelling in our group had been drinking the tap water! We travel to Kelowna several times a year with sports teams and personal vacations - I'm not sure I would stay at this property again

    2
    « Nice Hotel - Bad Beds »

As I've said in previous reviews, I travel a lot, and my key to happiness is how well I sleep! My room was $300 per night (which in my opinion is dear for a BW, plus or not!), and while the hotel was a nice, and presumably new, they totally dropped the ball on the beds and pillows. The mattress was very uncomfortable, and the pillows were lumpy and hard. The remote for the tv only worked sporadically and was the source of much frustration when we were trying to get to the channel playing the ball game with only two innings to go. On the positive side, my kids loved the water slide, the complimentary breakfast was pretty good, and the staff was nice. But in my opinion, comfort is king, and it was not found in this hotel.

    « A good stay »

We stayed here for the weekend while in West Kelowna. It was really close to Kelowna and there was a lot of places around to get a meal. The pool was cold and the hot tub was closed when we were there. That was no fault of the hotel though. There were water issues due to flooding in the town. One thing I noticed was that the pool wasn't as big as it looked in the pictures online. Our room was a good size, clean and in good shape. The hotel overall looked well maintained and our room was cleaned promptly while we were out. We went for the continental breakfast both mornings and it was pretty good. Eggs, bacon, sausage, waffles.... way more than I expected for a continental breakfast. The staff was helpful and friendly. They kept us stocked with bottled water due to the flood problem. They even provided paper plates when we had pizza night with the kids. I'd stay at this hotel again the next time I'm in town.

    « Business stay »

I arrived late for a business trip, the staff was very welcoming and helpful right away. I thought the grounds and hotel interior were very clean, the rooms were very nice, comfortable bed, nice deck overlooking the golf course, close to great restaurants. Overall a great stay, will be my first choice on return to the area.

    « Great Value! »

Spacious, clean and comfortable room. Bed was comfy. Nice lobby area. Great pool/hottub area with water slide. Adults only 9-11 pm. Large breakfast room with a great variety of options. The best waffles! Great location in West Kelowna, quiet, and free parking.

    « Good Hotel! »

On the way back from Alberta we decided to spend a night at Kelowna and check out the wine scene there. The hotel was good. Beds were comfy and had a nice view of the gold course. Other than that, it was very basic and the breakfast was quite good too.

Ideally located on the way to Kelowna and at the beginning of the wine route with an adjacent shopping and food outlets. Check in was smooth the room was clean no issues here. There are highway views and golf course views with a balcony. The breakfast was hot and yummy

« Not our usual experience. »

Something has changed at this hotel. We have stayed her many times before and reviewed before but didn't review every time we stayed because it was always the same review. It was fantastic. Not so much now. Check in was efficient but seemed very cold compared to other times. Room was as per usual very clean and comfortable. Noisy. Could hear a lot of noise from the floor above. Free breakfast- lots of selection if you're not gluten free. Needs some GF toast or cereal. But still plenty to eat. The older lady in breakfast area was the friendliest person we encountered in the hotel. :) Thanks to her. So many teenagers here. A sports team of girls. Rude bunch. Would reach across you to grab food, budge in line, bump into you etc- no manners whatsoever. Not hotels problem I suppose but I will be asking the question next time before I book here again how many teams are booked in when we are there. :( Checkout was as equally cool as check in. It was like we were there but didn't really matter that we were.

« Excellent hotel stayed here several times »

I stayed at this hotel last weekend with a bunch of friends. Played a round of golf at the course across the street which is a nice little executive course. The hotel is spotless, rooms are updated and clean and the staff are always pleasant. There is a pool and a hot tub, nice little pub across the parking lot and it is very quiet. You can't be the price and we love the rooms. Will stay again.

« Amazing Hotel! So beautiful! »

We had the best stay here. Breakfast was amazing and kids loved the pool. I love Bestwestern! We had a great view of a beautiful golf course and the room was comfortable and clean. I don't think I ever want to stay anywhere else but with best western.

« Great stay at a great hotel »

Room was very clean and comfortable. The staff was wonderful especially the ladies making breakfast. Pool was nice and warm and the hot tub was very comfortable. If you want a nice pleasant, comfortable stay, this is the place!

    « Great hotel »

After traveling 2400 miles & staying in numerous hotels, it was a pleasure to stay here. Warm & friendly staff, spotless room & very comfortable beds. Best breakfast so far on our trip. Indoor pool which looked inviting but we had no swimwear.

« Clean, friendly and close to Mission Hill Winery »

The hotel was very clean. With our room we received a continental breakfast free. It was very good and fresh. The ladies were on top of everything. Our room was very clean and the view was over the golf course looking at Mission Hill Winery. We enjoyed the balcony. Didn't like the pillows. I am glad we brought our own. I would stay again. Free wifi. The staff was very accommodating. Parking is free also. There is a pub close by.

    « Wouldn't stay anywhere else »

Very clean and quiet. Very family friendly! Pretty much all you can ask for in a hotel - free breakfast, free wifi, friendly staff, a pool and hot tub! The only reason I gave it a 4/5 is that although it's quiet despite being near the highway, it is far away from a lot of other things. Despite there being the mall right across it, we had to drive over to go to walmart etc because it wasn't safe to cross on our own. Other than that, I wouldn't stay anywhere else in terms of hotels - this was a great stay!

    5
« Great place to stay »

Super friendly staff. Very clean rooms and nice little touches in the room; like pillows decorations on the bed, fanned out towels and shower curtain. Excellent coffee, microwave, fridge, view, balcony.... and the pool and hot tub, which I didn't use this time but have enjoyed on prior stays, and breakfast is pretty fine as well. I wouldn't consider staying anywhere else.

    « Enjoyed our stay »

We stayed at the Best Western in West Kelowna while we were having renovations done at our home. The service was great - staff were helpful and courteous, the hotel was clean and welcoming. Our grand kids came to visit and really enjoyed the pool and slide. All in all a great experience.

« Great hotel for families »

We rented an executive suite as we are a family of five and it was perfect! The king bed in the master bedroom was very comfortable and offered various types of pillows so you could choose what you preferred. The living room area was very spacious and had enough space for the rollaway bed. Bathrooms were a good size with granite counter tops. Only negative was the sofa bed was not very comfortable so I had to roll up a blanket to put under the sheets to make it more comfortable for the kids. The hotel offers a fantastic continental breakfast every morning. They had lots of choices from bacon, eggs, fruit, cereal, English muffins, waffles and pancakes. The coffee was surprisingly good as well. The pool is small but the kids loved the water slide. Overall a great hotel with family friendly ammenties and close to shopping and restaurants.

    4
    « Great Location »

This hotel staff was excellent! The pool and water slide were great for the kids. Located around a golf coarse and shopping. Breakfast included was great. The rooms are spacious and include everything to have a great stay.

« My favorite hotel in the Okanagan Valley »

This hotel is a great place to stay. The staff are the best. Always greeted with a smile and staff go out of theira way to make your stay more enjoyable. the rooms and beds are also excellent. The pool and amenities are excellent and the fact that it is walking distance to one of the best restaurants in West Kelowna is a bonus. Don't hesitate to book this hotel. you won't be disappointed.

« One of the nicest BW hotels »

This is one of the best of the BW hotels we have stayed in and we always stay here when in the Kelowna area because of the good value (especially in off-season). Location is not the prettiest, but it is convenient and the rooms are clean, comfortable and large. Service has always been good.

    5
« Great Hotel in West Kelowna »

Clean, large rooms. Breakfast has something for everyone. Gluten Free Options. breakfast staff will offer a friendly hello and serve you coffee to your table. Great location, good value for your money. Friendly Front Desk Staff. Don't listen to the bad reviews, seems they are all from youth teams, from children causing chaos in the hotel with very little respect for anyone let alone for the staff of the hotel trying to deal with them. Just plain and simple, Coaches and parents should take responsibility for their children. Kids these days aren't disciplined and just roam free leaving the general public to babysit them. Do call directly to the hotel for the best rate. They will match the online rate for you, plus if you need to cancel or making changes then you can do that unlike when you book 3rd party.

« They don't care about your stay »

So we were up In Kelowna for the weekend and we asked for a cot because we had a extra guy in our room and he was a little bit sick and we had 3 big games of volley ball. We asked the girl at the front desk and she didn't care at all. Which means that the people here don't care about your stay. Then later that night we asked again saying the same thing and once again she couldn't care less. So instead of coming up to our room and asking us to stop she had to call our coach 30 min after we asked which was around 10:45. These people are difficult to deal with I am very unhappy with my stay and I would strongly recommend that no family or any people stay at this horrible place they like to call a hotel.

    3
    « OK »

I booked this hotel weeks in advance but was given a room for the handi capped. It would not be a big deal but I have 2 small children that I like to bathe and there was no bath! The room was also very small and crowded - no desk again a pain when I have children who like to color and have snacks in a civilized manner. The pool was cold as well - breakfast was great and the housekeeping was satisfactory. Thought we would give it a chance but we will most likely be returning to our usual holiday inn express down the street.

« Great hotel for visiting wineries »

We ended up staying here unexpectedly one night when we had car troubles on our way back to Vancouver after spending a few days across the lake in Kelowna. The hotel is quite nice. Spacious clean rooms with a modern feel. However the best part about the hotel is it's proximity to some very nice local wineries. We visited both the Mission Hill and Quail's Gate wineries near by and had a great time. The wineries we had visited on the other side of the lake were nothing special, but the 2 we visited while staying here were both very nice.

    5
« Service plus fantastic facility »

I stayed here for 3 nights and found the room to be great, clean and well appointed, the staff to be friendly and helpful and the included breakfast to be more than expected. The pool was clean and fun. Parking was a breeze and there were restaurants and shopping very close.

« Everything was awesome about this place »

We had a great stay at the Best Western Plus Wine Country Hotel. Clean bed linen and bathroom. The wifi was excellent. Breakfast was included. The hotel price was reasonable. The location of the hotel is really convenient for visiting Mission Hill and Quail's Gate Wineries. Furthermore, service was good. You may find their beds are a bit soft, but that was okay with us. If you try to locate the hotel by following the GPS, you may get to a middle of no where in the plaza. Just keep looking, and there is Tim Horton close to the hotel.

« Great place to stay and conveniently located »

We stayed here recently for the second time. The hotel is clean with friendly, helpful staff. It is located right off the highway and there are several restaurants and places to shop nearby. It is conveniently located for a quick drive into Kelowna, but in the quieter area on the western shore. The free breakfast has lots of choices, and they have free wifi and parking as well!

    5
    « Clean and quiet »

A very nice hotel in a good location near the main north-south highway and close to a number of good restaurants. What impressed me most was the soundproofing resulting in restful, undisturbed sleep. The hotel was spotless. The shower had great pressure and there was a refrigerator and microwave in each room. The balcony was nice and we were able to enjoy the view of the lake and sitting in the sun in the morning. The complimentary breakfast had a variety of hot and cold items which rotated daily. I loved the croissants which were flaky and delicious. On our first morning Sydney took time out from her stocking and cleaning duties to give us helpful tips on what to see and provided us a very useful map of Kelowna.

« A great place to stay in the OK valley »

My husband and I stayed here for a surprise birthday weekend. It has a great location as it's close to travel to either Kelowna proper or Penticton. The room was very clean and udpated and the staff were terrific. The complimentary breakfast was very good - lots of hot fresh food and again, the staff were terrific!

« Good hotel and convenient location »

Stayed here for 2 nights while doing wine tours/tastings. Location is excellent as it is right on Hwy97 and access to either the north or south is easy. Rooms are spacious, beds are very comfortable, and we faced the golf course behind the hotel so had a nice view. There is even a small(very small) balcony so we were able to open the patio door, get fresh air, and sit outside with a glass of wine in the afternoon. My only complaint is that we left our room at 9 a.m. the second day and returned at 4 p.m. after a full day adventuring and looking for a nap and housekeeping had not cleaned our room! This drives me crazy! I understand that maybe they are trying to clean rooms for new bookings....but no cleaning until after 4??? I sincerely feel that they should place a higher priority on existing guest rooms. On a positive note, the breakfast (which is included) is very, very good. Everything from the usual toast and yogurt & cereal to waffles, pancakes, bacon and scrambled eggs. And coffee that actually tastes like coffee and is piping hot. Overall a very good stay....I would have rated higher if not for the housekeeping issue.

    « A visit to West Kelowna Sept 28pm,29,30,Oct 1am »

Room 328. Just over 600.00 cad including tax for a 3 day stay for one person, 1 king bed. Nicely finished room. Appears to be high quality finishing. I like the colors, materials etc. Nice pool and slide if you are travelling with children. Close to five eating choices that you can walk to in less than two minutes. A few points to mention; 1. This device shown in the PHOTO looks exactly like a motion detector for light control. You can also buy concealed cameras that look like this. It is directed at the bed. Since I had experience as a technician I am assuming it is for light control. It looks like an add on that was wired using the conduit for a fire device. What am I supposed to do, ask them? Why is it up to the customer? It should be labelled a light control to give me peace of mind. 2. The first night several tv channels are not functioning. An employee said they called Shaw for service for me. Nobody called earlier? Restored 9/30 at 0652hr. Thankyou to the employee at the desk for dealing with their supplier 3. The deadbolt in my room does not line up with the frame so you don't have a secure locking device. The upper latch to the frame is the only security. 4.. Leaking iron. Leaks at the base. Iron your pants then wait for them to dry. Once again maintenance staff, or are you depending on clients to inspect your equipment. 6. Very nice view of the golf course. Open the window coverings in the morning and enjoy the sunshine and a beautiful golf course. 7. The room has a good sized safe however because of no light in the closet and low wattage energy saving lights you cannot see the safe to operate the keypad without a flashlight. 8. Great tasting coffee in the room. 9. They have real hangers that can actually be removed and put back on without fighting with a bracket permanently attached to the rod. 10. I have a theory that since I don't see or hear the sound of vacuums that it's not being done. I hope I am wrong but the staff were busy and I didn't see or hear a vacuum while on site. I'm complaining why? A long tiring day? I like to think that when you are in that price range in a small town it should be perfect. I realize you pay 2 or 3 times that amount in New York. Would I ever return? Absolutely, I like the hotel. Maybe they don't have a budget in place for a maintenance person. Other than the items mentioned it's a great location close to wineries. I am spoiled after staying at the Hotel Arena in Amsterdam.

    « Great Hotel »

Staff were very helpful, the room was completely clean and everything was very good except the water was running in the toilet and it kept flushing every few minutes. We told the staff at the desk so they could have someone fix it while we went out for dinner, however they offered to move us to another room, and we accepted. The new room was very spacious and had everything we needed. The hot breakfast had everything we could want, one of the best we've seen. The dining room was clean and well managed.

    « got ripped off »

Called ahead to advise of late check in. when we arrived we pulled the bed back from the wall and found fingernails and enough hair to make a moustache. we returned to the lobby to ask for another room. The girl said no cleaning staff was available and no other rooms available but she would try and clean for us. I asked her to check and advise if it was acceptable and she came back and clearly stated no it wasn't but we may be charged for the one night stay if we cancelled but to call in the morning to check with manager. we booked elsewhere and came back the next day to discuss if we were being charged for the one night room rate. they advised no we weren't and we thought okay all good. then when we got home we found the credit card charge and when we called back they decided to change their mind. a full hotel without another room available and they decide to charge us for a dirty room. corporate customer service has agreed to refund us, but at the date of this review the cheque is still in the mail....

    « Would stay again! »

We stayed at this hotel as the last hotel on our western road trip and couldn't be happier we did. It was in west Kelowna which was perfect because we had reservations for a wine tour at Mission Hill Winery. It was an eight minute taxi ride up to the winery. It's a further commute to downtown but we knew that when booking. The hotel is very clean, has a great water slide (fun for all ages), hot tub and complementary breakfast. The service was great. We have zero complaints and would stay again.

« Much attention to detail »

We had problems finding this hotel since our GPS couldn't find the address and even the CAA tour guide just brought us to the vicinity. We finally phoned and found we were nearby. The problem is that Carrington Road runs BEHIND the hotel and neither my husband nor I noticed the sign near the hotel roof. Suggest a sign at eye level. Otherwise, we were very pleased with this hotel. It was new, clean, had a nice indoor pool with water slide, the bedroom was very well-appointed and well-thought-out. There were more lights than any hotel we've been in, including a ceiling light, floor and table lights. The room was quite large with lots of room to walk around the king bed and around the armchair and desk area. The bathroom was large and modern but could have used better lighting for makeup or a makeup mirror, but this is minor. The closet had a safe, iron and ironing board. The full breakfast selection was great, including 2 waffle-makers, a pancake-maker, omelets, sausages, yogurt, cereal, toast, pastries, juice and a great blueberry syrup for the waffles and pancakes in addition to the usual pancake syrup. Several ladies were kept busy constantly stocking things and even topping up our coffee cups.

« Great Location, Good Amenities »

My husband and I recently stayed at this new hotel and were very satisfied with the accommodations. We had a 2 Queen Room with Mountain View and Balcony overlooking a golf course. We were extremely happy with the location, just 10 minutes from the waterfront in downtown Kelowna, across the bridge. West Kelowna offered many hiking trails and wineries too. The hotel included a hot and cold breakfast with an array of delicious offerings and the staff was very pleasant and helpful. The pool, waterslide, hot tub, laundry and small exercise room were nice to have on site as well.We look forward to another visit sometime in the near future. Loved it!!

    « Amazing Hotel »

This hotel was clean, modern, friendly, good location, great water slide and hot tub. The breakfast was good and the internet was great. The staff were friendly and helpful. No complaints about the hotel, I would stay here again. The Best Western Group seem to offer great hotels. I just wish they all had dog friendly rooms as this pone did as I would always stay in Best Western Hotels as a first choice.

    « Comfortable?with some perks »

The service was very friendly and efficient. The room was a good size and clean. The bed was comfortable, although I wish there were some flatter pillows; to be fair, I didn't ask the front desk if any were available. I was able to sign onto the wi-fi without any problems, but my devices defaulted to Shaw Open, so that was what I used. There were several nice extra touches: ? a separate sitting area as well as a generous work desk ? a microwave along with the mini-fridge and coffee/tea maker ? a full size, lightweight, hairdryer ? numerous outlets: four in the bathroom and several throughout the room ? the TV could swivel so that it was visible from the bed and the couch ? a foam roller and mat in the gym ? a complimentary full-day coffee/tea service in the lobby The bathroom sink obviously wasn't designed with short people in mind: it was positioned further back of the counter; a stool would have been handy. The lighting in the bathroom wasn't the greatest either?it cast shadows and wasn't the best for make-up application. On the other hand, the safe was low in the closet, not shoved somewhere up on a high shelf as I've often encountered. I was surprised that there wasn't room service available. Also, the free breakfast only goes to 10 so, being a night owl, I wasn't able to take advantage. There are several restaurants on the same lot, including a Tim Hortons, and a health food market. They also had a little store for drinks, snacks, ice cream and small items that might be needed during the trip. Convenient if you were in a hurry and couldn't stop at a supermarket or other shop. I like the idea of an adults-only swim time, being able to take a relaxing swim, or sit in the hot-tub, before bed without energetic kids around.

« Hotel was good - and staff were wonderful »

The rooms were good, location was good with market and a nice choice of walkable restaurants. The staff were friendly and helpful; in particular the ladies who run the breakfast and other areas - big shout out to Sydney who kept track of everyone, their preferences, destinations and personal needs. That is what makes an ordinary hotel extraordinary.

« Stay in Kelowna Best Western Wine Country »

When we extended our stay for a third night, we were charged $82.00 over and above the price we paid for the first two nights. We were not pleased! The WIFI was terrible, didn't always work. We were not able to use our IPADs.

    « Great stay! »

This property is very new and up to date. The rooms are comfortable with fresh furnishings. The location is great because it's off the main highway and it backs a golf course, making it very quiet. It's also close to shopping. The front desk was friendly and made us feel welcome, as did the ladies running the morning breakfast area. The only things I would change/add is bathrobes in the rooms and change out the inroom coffee and the shampoo/toiletries for better quality ones. Overall, it was a great place to stay and it will likely be our choice again, should we return to the area.

« Feels Like Coming Home »

Stayed for a week in late August as we have done for several years now. This hotel never fails to disappoint. Easily located; great check in and out; rooms are clean with good lighting and excellent water pressure in showers. Love the balconys and outstanding Okanagan views. Breakfast appears to have declined a bit in terms of food items offered and no daily paper anymore. Additional plug ins for charging phones etc in rooms would be welcomed. Best of all though is the staff - they go out of their way to help you enjoy yourself and take care of any matter. Professional, always with a smile and extremely friendly. They make this a must come back to hotel and we will! Danny, Hayley ? and Georgette from kitchen were outstanding - way to go folks!

« Best place to stay in West Kelowna »

We had an excellent stay and the breakfast was excellent each day! The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is close to all major shopping, restaurants and Two Eagles Golf Course which was in great condition. Once you are at the hotel, there is no need to drive anywhere all amenities are within walking distance of the hotel. The pool, waterslide and hot tub are kept clean and are in excellent condition. This hotel is highly recommended !

    « Would recommend »

Nice clean hotel. Reasonable rates. We choose this hotel to do West Kelowna Wine Tours.Full breakfast included was just a glorified continental breakfast with warm eggs and bacon and/or sausages. While we had no children accompany us this hotel is very child oriented with the pool and slide.

« Nice Small Hotel Closed by Wineries »

Our family booked two rooms with Best Western for a night. It is conveniently located by the Highway with lots of shops and eateries surrounded it. It is few mins from Quails Gate and Mission Hills Wineries. Check-in went smoothly but were assigned on two different floors. We wished the lady who checked us in could be warmer and with some smiles, so that we felt welcome. There are two Queen size beds, microwave, mini fridge and coffee machine in the room. We stayed here five years ago , the hotel must have underwent a major renovation, the carpets are extremely clean, furniture are new except the window covering is dated. The wifi is cut off all the time so we have to sign back in all the time. Breakfast is included, it's simple buffet style. It's a good stop over hotel for you to get around all the wineries !

    « Very Nice Hotel »

Our room was huge with a king size bed. Very comfy and the room was immaculate. Would recommend this hotel. Water slide in the pool area would be a perfect spot for families with children. Close to many wineries and just off the main highway. Golf course and restaurants were walking distance away. Complimentary breakfast was very enjoyable with a waffle station and many other choices to start your day off. Would stay here again.

« Clean, Comfy and I got to make my own Belgian Waffle? »

Unique hot breakfast was a fun experience as you got to make your own waffles and pancakes. The pancake machine is a little black box of wonder. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The pool and hot tub were very nice and didn't have that weird smell you sometimes get with neglected pools. Had a great sleep on firm yet Comfy mattress. Fridge, coffee maker, large tub/shower,lush towels, and did I mention Hot Breakfast included. Not fancy but very good value for your dollar. Definately coming back.

    « Great location »

We spent two nights in this well located hotel, and would definitely recommend it to other travelers. Our two queen bed room at the back had a balcony and lovely view of the golf course, and was very quiet. The whole hotel seemed to be very clean and well maintained. The included breakfast was fine, offering something for everyone, and provided a good start to the day. All the staff members we came in contact with were friendly and very professional. We shall stay there again next time we are in the area.

    « Great cleaning staff »

Very impressed with the attention to detail of the cleaning staff. Done right, things looked after. A very comfortable room, breakfast is average and overcrowded. If you go to the lobby to find a table, beware of the low mantle on the fireplace!

« Everything but the shuttle »

Great location, great amenities, great rooms. Just wish they had a shuttle to the local wineries. Enjoyed the room, balcony, breakfast and convenience to Mission Hill. Didn't enjoy paying a king's ransom for shuttle services to Mission Hill.

« West Bank Location close to food/stores »

Good location on the West Bank. Huge room that we bought with our Airmiles. Good food nearby. We went to Kelly O'Brayan's in the strip mall right in front of the hotel last night after the football game. Sitting outside on their patio till midnight, we just soaked up that warm summer evening, didn't even need a jacket. Tim Hortons in the parking lot for those who need their coffee their way in the mornings. Walmart, Burger King, London Drugs across the freeway. Bit of a drive to the beach. Complimentary breakfast was great with attentive staff.

    « Nice family stay »

Stayed here for 5 nights for a family vacation. This was the 1st time I've taken my family to Kelowna, and overall, we enjoyed our stay. The hotel is relatively new, and everything is still clean, modern looking and well kept. We came a couple hours early hoping we could check-in early, but it is high season, so it wasn't. We understand that. But that particular front desk person could have been friendlier. We came back a few hours later and our room was ready to go. We were checked-in by a different person, and they were much friendlier. We got a two queen room facing the golf course, and it was generally very nice. It was a good size with LCD TV, small (quiet!) fridge , microwave and in-room safe. We also had a balcony over looking the golf course across the street. Just a few small problems: - The chair didn't fit well with the work desk (the arms aren't low enough to go under the desk which made for an awkward sitting position) - The beds were firmer than I like, and the pillows were lumpy - The toiletries (shampoo and conditioner) smelled horrible and didn't have much cleaning action Since our room faced the golf course, we had no issue with noise. We didn't hear any noise from other suites despite the hotel being completely full. I should note to future travellers that this is the first hotel that I've been where if you don't specifcially put up the sign that you want your room serviced, your room gets skipped. Breakfast is standard including one hot egg and meat, and then oatmeal, cereal, breads, fruit, and yogurt. There's also make-it-yourself waffle station. And this was the first time I've seen a make-to-order pancake machine - just press a button and wait for two pancakes to come out! There's also coffee and tea. Being in a shopping plaza, there's a Tim Horton's, Dominos Pizza, Thai restaurant, Japanese restaurant and Irish Pub within a minute walking distance. There's also a natural grocery store too. We only tried the Thai restaurant, which was only so-so. One of the reasons I picked the hotel was because of the waterslide. My kids enjoyed the pool, but I should note the following: - technically, there is a 42" minimum height requirement to use the slide - half of the pool acts as the landing are for the slide, which leaves only the other half for swimming. The pool is already small to begin with, so it's OK when it's quiet, but when there's more than 6 people in the pool, it's too crowded. - and yes, no children are allowed after 9pm. But i didn't mind this, as by 9pm, young children should be in bed anyways. The location was good for us as it is near both the Mission Hill and Quails Gate winery, both which have very good restaurants. Only takes 10 to 15 minutes to get to downtown Kelowna. Although not perfect, we were very happy with our stay here. I think it provided the best value as it was lower priced than similar hotels in Kelowna, but offers a newer and fresher building. I would come back.

    « Very nice hotel »

We stayed one night here and it was very nice, a great view of the golf course 18 th hole. Rooms large and comfortable, indoor pool was a little bit small.lots of parking and close to the major highway.

« Nice new hotel close to amenities. »

The hotel is relatively new, and in good condition. The check-in process was quick, and the staff are friendly. The room was clean and in good condition; we liked having the patio, which are only on the rooms facing east. The pool was a bit on the small side, but the kids loved the waterslide. As mentioned in other reviews, the kids have to be out of the pool by 9:00 to make room for adults only, but I can understand why. The breakfasts are decent, with standard offerings. The hotel is close to amenities; there is a Tim Horton's and other meal options just across the parking lot. There is a golf course across the road from the hotel, and you are about a 10 minute drive from a couple of great wineries (Mission Hills and Quail's Gate).

    4
    « Clean, spacious rooms »

Great hotel if you're hitting the golf course! Close to the beaches on Lake Okanagan as well. The continental breakfast was good. They serve waffles, as well as fresh apples and plums. I was pleased to see they had plain oatmeal, with raisins, dried cranberries and walnuts to add. As well, they offered the choice of regular milk or soy. The pool is adults only from 9-11 PM. Fun water slides as well.

« Pool closes at 9 for kids »

We enjoyed our stay here for the most part. We had 2 different rooms (booked 4th night a few months later, had to switch rooms) and actually liked the smaller 2 bed room vs suite. Rooms were clean, breakfast was good and the ladies running breakfast were wonderful. We didn't like that the pool was closed at 9 to kids -- seriously?? We were there 4 nights and our kids swam once. This is a deal breaker for us and we probably wouldn't stay again.

    4
« Great room, good location »

BW's have improved alot and this fairly new one is still very clean and modern. Quiet too. Beds are pretty firm but comfy. They offer a breakfast with ok food choices, waffle maker, cold cereal, toast etc. The only thing it's served only for a short time and if you get there late, they run our of stuff and while we were there it's peak season so you usually have to grab it and take it to your room because there are limited seats. Or if you miss it Tim Horton's is in the same parking lot. :) The pool seemed Ok, we didn't try it but liked the adult time 9pm-11pm option. Staff was friendly. Room were tidied everyday, quickly. A note, you can't really walk to Walmart or stores across the street (hwy97) as there is not a traffic light or safe crosswalk, so you need to treck up to the one light a few blocks and back down. *Sigh* so close yet so far.

« Good value and pet friendly! »

It was our first stay at the Best Western in Kelowna and we stayed here with our 2 dogs. We were here for a wedding and the location was great as the wedding reception was across the street at the golf course. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again especially with the continental breakfast offered!

    « not a family friendly destination »

My family has stayed at this location for a family holiday. The have made a new rule that kids / families are not permitted to use the pool after 9 pm. This is a new disappointing policy of Best Western. Even though you pay for a family stay at the property, your family is only allowed to use facilities at certain times. They say kids are not allowed to use the pool past 9 pm due to noise, and its reserved for adults. Adults are just as loud as any kids in a pool setting. The staff are rude, and have no professionalism in telling guests that they are required to exit the pool. Even though the pool is not being used by any adults post 9pm, the staff states that they would rather have no one use the facility at all. Management have avoided the issue and would not be compassionate for the concerns we addressed. The property is always in high demand, and used by many guests. It is disappointing that even though property is privately owned that they would not want to encourage familes to have a good times while staying there. When the weather is cold and rain and the only option is to stay onsite and use the facilities that you pay for, to have ignorant employee to kick you out of the pool is far from acceptable I am sure Best Western board members and share holders would agree that families should be encouraged to stay and enjoy the entire properties, they do not advertise that this is a adult exclusive site. Best Western will not be supported by our annual family and extended familes travels in the future

    « Nice Hotel »

My husband and I stayed for 2 nights July 8/9. Check in went smoothly (we checked in mid day Friday) however 2 other members of our group who checked in during the evening shift both had issues with the unfriendliness of the front desk, including a visual "eye roll" by the lady when she was asked a basic question. Our room was clean and had a nice view of the golf course. We were disappointed that the Jacuzzi was not working and marked off with yellow tape. For the price (yes it was peak season) it was very disappointing to not have access to this much anticipated amenity. Room cleaning was acceptable but not outstanding. The morning breakfast was nice. The highlight of this hotel was the lady who worked in the breakfast area (I believe her name was Sydney). She was outstanding with everyone who came for breakfast and had the most positive and welcoming presentation that it was definitely worth making note of here. I would recommend this hotel but it's pricey for what is offered. Apples in the lobby areas was a nice touch and appreciated.

« Ok, good breakfast, convenient. »

We stayed here 2 nights, was just basic, the breakfast was good, room was clean enough. The waterslide and pool area are very small. We booked a disabled room for a relative in a wheelchair and that was a great amenity.

« Front desk staff not helpful »

I stayed in early July in this property. At night I went to front desk to ask for creamer for a tea or a milk. The front desk staff said that they don't serve creamer nor the milk for the tea and i was directed to Tim Horton. Room space cleaning was good but front desk staff unprofessional.

    1
    « No Go! »

As a family of four (2 kids) we definitely experienced the most unfriendly service in a Hotel ever. Mainly two women at the front desk won the gold medal in not being customer oriented at all! In addition, the pool appeared dirty, yet creamy! Promising as a main advantage of their place the great pool with water slide, definitely not okay.

    5
« New hotel with a balcony view »

This hotel was recently built which puts it in a higher class over other Best Westerns that were converted. Breakfast and waterslide is a bonus. The beds are comfy and décor is modern. Our 2-queen's room had a balcony that overlooked the golf course which was nice. Rooms are slightly smaller than the nearby Holiday Inn, but conveniently located just off the highway and close to several big box stores and restaurants with easy access to local fresh produce like the popular Paynter's Market. Hotel prices are higher in West Kelowna, and this one is no exception. If price isn't a major factor, this hotel is a good choice for an overnight stay.

Great hotel. The continental breakfast was the best. Room was clean. We had a balcony where we could look out at the golf course. Highly recommended. The front desk staff were friendly as well as helpful. Would stay at this location again for sure.

    « A great Hotel for a Rest »

Nice people working here. Georgette was a whirl wind, cleaning and helping at the continental breakfast. Rooms were clean and quiet. We had a pet friendly room that was spotless. Lots of parking. Close to shopping and other amenities. Good pricing even with the business of the long weekend.

    « Great all-around hotel. »

The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room with a king size bed was absolutely spotless. The bed and pillows were one of the best we've ever slept on in all our travels - I didn't want to get up it was that comfy. There is a pool with a waterslide and a jacuzzi, which our friends enjoyed. The breakfast offered a lot of choices. They make homemade cinnamon buns but, unfortunately they were all gone before 8 a.m. so we didn't get any. My pictures show the view from our room (facing the highway) but it was absolutely dead quiet so we had a restful sleep (4th floor). First hotel we've ever stayed in that had a dual cup coffee maker and we loved that. Also had a fridge and microwave. Situated in a strip mall with a pub, Thai restaurant, Tim Horton's, and small shops. It really is a lovely hotel. Outside parking only.

    3
« Good value for the money at this time of the season »

The room was nice, the linen was fresh, the room was clean and tidy. Only a couple of issues with the room; the bathroom door was unbalanced and kept swinging shut on its own - resulting in a bumped elbow or three. The closer on the faucet for the sink plug broke on the first morning, and was still broken when we checked out four nights later. Otherwise happy with the location; great for quick access to Peachland, Summerland and Penticton and area. Great not to have to navigate through congested Kelowna proper traffic. However the mattresses were rather uncomfortable and the comforter was lumpy.

    4
    « Spacious room »

We stayed one night, had a king bed on the ground floor. The waterslide was fun, the hot tub could have been a bit hotter, felt like a bath. The room had a fridge and microwave. Bed was comfortable with lots of pillows. Shower had lots of pressure. Room was clean. Breakfast was ok, too much processed foods for my liking, like most continental breakfasts. They do have some hot options, but they are pre-made frozen products. Even the boiled eggs were ones from a pail or package, so they have a rubbery texture. I know, it's a free, continental breakfast, but I have been to other hotels that have had better.

    4
    « Beautiful view room »

Stayed for one night. Requested a King Bed view room on top floor. The view overlooked the 9th hole of the golf course with Okanagan Lake in the background. This side of the hotel faces away from the highway so it is quiet. The location is central for all amenities in West Kelowna. The breakfast was complimentary but nothing special, The usual carbs, cereals, breads with some pre-cooked boiled eggs. Would stay there again.

    5
« Great hotel, great staff »

Feels like a hotel in Vegas. Furnishings/bedroom style is very contemporary. Breakfast is great, better than most other hotels and it's free. Staff are always very welcoming. Recycling boxes in the rooms, which I like to see. And I just found out they have a night swim time available only for adults, which is nice. Near lots of shopping/restaurants.

    « Pleasantly surprised! »

My husband and I stayed here last month as we were attending a wedding in Kelowna. We left it to the last minute to book our 2 nights so we didn't get to stay where most of the other wedding guests stayed. So we booked here and were pleasantly surprised once we checked in at how lovely of a hotel it was. Loved our room, had a King Bed with a balcony overlooking a Golf Course and the bathroom was huge. Everything was modern and the room was clean and very spacious. We were there as a couple but if we had little kids, we would definitely stay here again as they have a great little inside pool with a waterslide...perfect for young families. That aside, we loved our stay here and would definitely choose to stay here again if we return to West Kelowna!

I needed to stay at the hotel for a extended period of time because I had to find a safe place for my Mom to live and sell her home. Best western kept me at the same rate and were so kind and sympathetic to what I was going through. « The Awesome Breakfast Ladies »

I have to say I have never received such wonderful service as I did Monday morning at the continental breakfast. We blew our tire going home from a long weekend in Kelowna from a Football Tournament. I was not looking to pay any more money from the expensive weekend but on our way home on the highway between Kelowna and Merritt my tire blew and had to be towed back into Kelowna to Kel Tire across the road from you guys. We were stuck on the road for 5.5 hours before we got back into town. I had my 7 year old son with my husband, my friend and myself in the truck. I was drained to the max of money, energy, drained mentally, physically and still had to show happiness to my little one. We didn't get to the hotel until 10pm my poor son didn't have dinner until 11pm because we loaded everything into the hotel which our keys keep breaking down and having to be replaced by front desk. It was so exhausting I wanted to cry and more so when I saw a bill for $214.00 for a 2 Queen bed bedroom when I told it was under $200.00 for the amount we used it for. I wasn't about to complain since I just couldn't cry anymore I was tired. We woke up early so we can get the tire changed and back on the road. I told my husband to deal with the truck ill deal with Breakfast for our son. So we went downstairs and he was so excited because all he wanted was bacon. He went in there looking for some and there was none. So he asked a lady who was walking around helping people and asked her if there was any bacon. She said no not until tomorrow. He was sad but said ?ok, thank you anyways? So she said ?Let me see what I can do, no guarantees but I will ask, how many would you like?? he replies ?6 or 7? lol she laughed and laughed she said ok and off she went. A few minutes went by and she come back with 7 pieces of bacon. The lady was so wonderful it put a huge smile on his face and it made me smile which was pretty hard since depression was starting to kick in. The lady in the back that was cooking it was so wonderful my son went over there and was thanking all of them so much. They were chatting with him and making him smile and really just made our morning. He is still talking about them. It really meant something to us and you have no idea what that did to us. We are forever greatful for such friendliness and hospitality that they shown. Those 2 ladies are amazing. Your hotel should be very proud of those 2. The only complaint is that it was way to expensive for us. Thank you Tanya Favell

« Superb but for architrecture »

Our first foray into British Columbia confirms that this is a robust wine region, and if you're looking for a place to stay that's inexpensive, serviceable, and close to some of the best, this ought to be a choice. I'll start with the imperfections. Why do architects think they need to innovate in ways that don't work? Our room's layout was not working. It was a nice room, comfy bed, lots of space, good bath. But the bed area was separated from the lounging/work area with a half-wall and a sort of squared arch, and it didn't work. The TV was at the wall at the foot of the bed, but the couch was in the other woom--the long room with a partial wall caused the interior part to be gloomy, even with all the lamps turned on. There are a surfeit of electrical outlets, some in rather odd places, but that's a plus. It's a little unfair for me to hold the hotel responsible for the foolishness of its architect--but the error is there. And one other issue--getting logged into the wi-fi involves connecting, then opening the browser to hope that the "terms and conditions" screen auto-loads so you can click the "I consent' button and then do what you need. Other chains are providing high-speed internet that requires none of this nonsense. Moreover, my smartphone sees to have been reprogrammed so that the home page on the browser is Best Western--please stuff that. In all other ways the facility is great. Staff is friendly and helpful. Their breakfast is as gfood as any chain's and better than most; I enjoyed bacon (first time on this lengthy vacation) and mini-cheese omelets and--cheat my diet--a small cheese Danish. There's a nice indoor pool, good for the kids, with a hot tub for the achy adults. If time and opportunity permit, I think I'd love to return to this area and to visit several more of the vineyards--they have an ideal wine-growing region. If I do, I will certanly look for a room here again--architecture notwithstanding. And despite that I'll have to reset the home page on my smart phone. The positives far outweigh the negatives.

    « A night in Wine Country »

This was a one night stay for my husband and I. We are retired and have been to Kelowna many times. This was our first stay at this Hotel. It is definitely a step up from a regular Best Western. The hotel looks fairly new and the rooms are very nicely appointed. We had a room with 2 queens, a view of the golf course and a lovely little balcony where we relaxed on a warm night with a glass of wine for me and beer for my husband. If you are on vacation, Kelowna has so much to offer from city facilities to wineries and wonderful dining and superb recreational facilities. In the winter the ski hills are not far away. We have stayed in the other Best Western in kelowna proper but we prefer this one. the appointments are much nicer. The beds were very good and the room was equipped with the usual microwave, fridge, and coffee machine. Wine glasses are provided--you are in wine country. We were on vacation but I noticed business people and golfers checking in. The Best Western always has the nice touch of fruit and fresh chocolate chip cookies at the check in area along with tea and coffee. The breakfast room was clean and well stocked and along with waffles and pancakes you could order omelets and bacon. The only drawback might possible be traffic noise if you aren't used to it but when the windows are shut you don't hear it. the hotel also has a pool with a water slide which I'm sure would be a big hit with children. It also has a 2 hour adult swim later at night. The pool looked clean and well cared for There is a little mall , actually several little malls that you can access for fast food. We opted to walk just down the street to the restaurant at the golf course--The 19th Hole. It was very nice with a varied menu and varied prices from appi's to steaks.--dress casual. We would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the area! B Ferguson

Stayed for a weekend Baseball Tournament. Was in and out of the facility often. Always pleasant staff and always available for questions. Hotel offers hot breakfast which was available early, which suited us fine.

« Very clean, comfortable and new hotel »

This hotel offered a very clean and comfortable travel experience. There was a very modern roomy room provided to us. Breakfast room had a lot of choices. There was a pool, hot tub and exercise room. Check-in and check-out was fast and efficient. I have no complaints.

Wonderful location for wine country! Views of Mission Hill winery and the lake. Easy drive to other wineries. Clean, cozy room, great staff and filling breakfast, not to mention a pool and hot tub! Love to come back.

    « Modern & Comfortable »

We did not rent a car, the hotel is very close to Greyhound West Bank station. local bus stop is about 10 mins walk. Surrounded by restaurants, London Drugs is close by. With a great view! The hotel public area and guest room is very clean. Modern design... I have to stay the shower was great!!! Bed was comfortable. We had a King room on the second floor, room was spacious. In-room thermostat worked (our stay was in late May - Victoria long weekend but the weather was not great...windy and cloudy...) We were very satisfied that we were able to keep ourselves comfortable with the temperature in room. Breakfast starts early 7 to 10am, worked out well for us as we had to leave with an early bus. Love the self-service pancake machine :p Only thing have to mention is the wifi... it was not stable at all.

    « Balconies, Nice touch »

I really was surprised to have a balcony. I find this a nice added bonus. We had a nice clean room and a view of the golf course. I would definitely stay at this hotel again. Continental breakfast provided and everything was good.

    « Average Best Western »

Best Western as expected. We had a room on the top floor with views to a golf course and the Lake Okanagan in the distance. The hotel is situated in a mall next to the highway. We had a double queen room - spacious enough. Beds a bit on the firm side. Breakfast only on plastic and other disposable items.

We booked the luxury suite for a romantic night away. It was the most beautiful room we have stayed in for a very long time. Rivals anywhere we have stayed before and we travel all over the world. Want to feel like movie stars? Stay here.

    « Nice Facility »

We spent 3 days here while attending a convention. Rooms were clean and the front desk staff were exceptional. The included continental breakfast was typical best Western. Good variety and tasty. Quite adequate. Would stay here again.

    « Great pool area! »

We took our daughter and some friends here for her birthday party. The waterslide was an obvious hit with the kids. The hotel was very clean and staff were very helpful and friendly. Loved the fruit infused water at check in. The breakfast was very good with a lot of options. Would definitely recommend this hotel to friends and family!

I was there with my wife and daughter (10 years old) in May 2016. the desk managers were just perfect, Polite, dedicated to help us! We had an upgrade from a standard 2 queen beds to a suite for a good price! Suite is clean and great! Free wifi and breakfast buffet very good!

    « Disappointing »

After a fair amount of research online we booked this hotel for a family getaway. The hotel itself is clean and well appointed. It is however in a bit of an industrial/ big box retail area. The side of the hotel facing the shops is pretty loud with road noise, so definitely ask to face the golf course when you book. It is a drive away from actual Kelowna, so be prepared to use this as a base and then visit different places from here. We arrived with some very excited children keen to use the pool and water slide (a key reason for choosing this location) . It was freezing... And the hot tub was out of order. We enquired twice at the front desk, whether the temp could be increased but were told it was pre set 80 degrees (it certainly was not) which may explain why no one was in there. The hotel reception and manager were very dismissive and didn't even check before repeating that it is 80 degrees. The next day, we checked the in pool thermometer 69 degrees I spoke to the front desk reception again, she tried to repeat the message of the previous day but I told her that we had checked the thermometer and it was much less than 80 degrees. Another hotel staff member walked past and casually said no the pool is cold because the heat pump is broken. No apology for the fact that the pool is out of commission again today (half way through our four day break and no pool for the kids still). I understand that things break down and these things happen, but the staff have been pretty poor in handling this... We feel like nuisances and that we are raising an issue that they are clearly uninterested in. We have been waiting for more than a hour to speak to the hotel manager... But no call yet! Never mind I have the crying five year old to contend with having just told him we can't go swimming again!! ????????

« Customer service was very poor »

This is the first review of a hotel I've ever done. To start out when we checked in at the desk the manager and other employee were talking and dealing with an issue on the computer. I stood there for at least 5 min. before they acknowledged me there. When I said my name, they did not have my booking. I showed the staff my email confirmation. They could not find my booking and the manager Tina said that they were switching over to a new system. Then they proceeded to tell me that there was a charge of a "no show" on April 6th. I never was there on the 6th. I booked the hotel on that day. They asked me if I received an email confirmation of this no show etc. I said no because I never booked that that. The manager then proceeded to tell me that they might have put the payment through the Visa for that no show but wasn't sure about it. She requested that we phone the Visa company and produce proof that the payment was put through. We just arrived and had to go upstairs to call Visa to open an online banking account to see if we could prove that the Visa payment was put through. AFter half an hour of setting the online banking up which did not work, the Visa company stated that the establishment should know whether the payment went through or not. So we went down to the desk again and stated that the payment went through. Tina said "ok, we will credit you back the payment". All the while she knew from her records that it did and could look whether the payment was charged. Her flippant attitude was not appreciated. Prior to this, not having our reservations, they quickly found us a room and proceeded to overcharge us the amount we had booked through booking.com. This had to be changed as well. We were running late by then to a weddin party. The next day we decided to finally use the pool during adult time. The hot tub was very cold. I called to the front desk and asked "do you know why the hot tub is so cold". The desk clerk then said, she had refilled the tub-who does this during the public swim hours? The temperature was below 80F and the jets were pumping cold water. When I called again to ask how long would it take to heat up, her reply was "it will heat up", then we saw her run to the pool room following the conversation. After a third call and a the temp was 68F we finally asked how long it would take to heat, the girl was never truthful-if she had just said she didn't turn the hot water on, or it will take a few hours that would have been better than not giving us a truthful answer. Really, should this not be done after swim hours, not during when you want a hot tub prior to bed? The poor customer service and the dismissive attitude was very surprising. No compensation for the hassle of the check in was very disappointing. I would not recommend staying at this hotel as I feel it is poorly managed. Even our guests commented about it. The room however was clean and spacious. The breakfast meal was great.

    « A great place to stay »

A wonderful place to stay. Great views, considerate staff and close to everything. My guest from New York was overwhelmed by the drive from Vancouver and was not let down by the reception we received from the hotel staff. And I have to mention the great breakfast buffet - best coffee in town and best staff. Thank you.

I would recommend this Best Western it is very modern and close to everything you need to do also take a trip across the parking lot to the restaurants there and try the pool out, also take a break and go golfing.

Very comfortable bed and good staff. Breakfast was a step above most complimentary breakfasts. We were moving and so glad to have a quiet, comfortable place to spend our last night in West Kelowna! Good quality hotel!

« Good for an overnight. Choose the golf course side. »

Clean hotel with pleasant staff. Pool is great for kids. Decent place to overnight on your way through. If you are doing things on the other side of Kelowna don't stay here as the traffic getting back and forth across the bridge will waste a lot of your time.

« Great Hotel and Staff.. Horrible Breakfast unhealthy processed food, and bad illeuipped fitness center. »

The hotels and staff are excellent. Very clean and well run property. However the fitness center is pointless as it does not have a selection of free weights. The breakfast was very poor and all the food was processed and bad. Please more fresh items, maybe use real eggs in stead of the cardboard egg like substance you are using now? even if it means charging more for the rooms thats fine do it! It makes a big difference. Also the pillows are very soft, firmer pillows would be nice as well. Thanks

« Good location, clean hotel »

Stayed here for two nights in March 2016 while visiting friends in West Kelowna. Great location in West Kelowna, close to shops, restaurants, vineyards and the golf course. Arrived late at night at the front desk staff member was pleasant and moved our room to the top floor away from the elevator (as per our original request) which was much appreciated; originally, they wanted to put us in a first floor room beside the elevator (exactly opposite of what we requested). Room was very clean, large and the bathroom appears to have been recently remodeled (very modern with a great shower). For a hotel room as large as we had (included a living room suite), the bed was surprisingly small. Wi-Fi was not very good; spotty at best (and we had 3 devices we tried connecting). Lots of families at this hotel; can be noisy at times. Breakfast was just "okay" - have stayed at many hotel chains with better selection, but this wouldn't make or break us staying here again. The biggest downfall for us at this hotel was the so-called "fitness center" - quite frankly, it is not a fitness center and one of the worst I have seen at a hotel (I travel A LOT and work out every day so I have seen my fair share). Very small, cramped and hardly anything in the way of free weights/weight machines. We had stayed here previous to this stay and would stay here again for a quick stopover if needed again.

    « Fabulous hotel...needs more accessible parking »

This hotel is fantastic, especially geared for family travel. Excellent beds, beautiful clean rooms, lovely bathrooms! If you want to get away from the pool I suggest upper floors or far end of hall. The accessible rooms being adjacent to the lobby are great, a little more noisy, but really NOT bad, considering that we were there at the height of March Break I would say that we had the test, and it was reasonable. If you need "pin drop quiet" this is not for you...otherwise, you will be fine. The breakfast is very good, and the staff are extremely accommodating. The lot has 2 "blue" spots for the whole hotel...(at least 5 accessible rooms on the main floor) so that could be improved.

« Poor customer service at Front Desk - Poor Management »

We stayed here 2 nights and found the accommodation to be fair. The hotel is modern and the guestrooms are a good size. The pet-friendly room was spacious but the carpet was dirty. Ants in the bathroom. At $25 pet fee per night the room should be clean! One morning we were sitting in the lobby, with our puppy, waiting for our daughter to join us. There was only one staff member around who was hurrying between front desk duties and her duties in the breakfast room. Several people were waiting up to 10 minutes for service at the front desk. One guest was elderly and was struggling with a walker, having to wait for a long time for the woman to return to the front desk. When the coffee ran out, I asked the lady if there was a refill coming up soon, and she gave me a grouchy look and barked: "yes yes its almost ready". I walked back to our seat in the lobby and then she turned on me, yelling: "Is that your dog? He is not allowed to be in here!" I was shocked by her loud angry tone and then she continued with loudly, her voice echoing inside the lobby: "it is in the pet regulations, he is only allowed to walk in and out of the hotel" "You have to take him out of here". There was another guest seated behind us who gave me a strange look, and another couple waiting at the desk who overheard this embarrassing exchange. I followed the attendant into the breakfast room, and spoke to her inside the door to the kitchen, where it was quiet. I pointed out that she had embarrassed me in front of other guests and I made it clear that this was unacceptable. The lady, Stephany, insisted that she was right in the way she handled the situation and refused to apologize. A complaint to the Manager later proved fruitless. Of course I had to wait for a long time before the Manager made herself available. Then this Manager said she 'sympathized' but then proceeded to praise the employee, Stephany, by saying that they 'hardly ever have any problems with her" and that she "had been there for four years". It was such an obvious brush-off and I told her that this employee appears to feel very secure in her job and was obviously protected by her Manager. This kind of behavior is not something that just magically pops up out of nowhere, the whole demeanor of this staff member was offensive and the look on her face tells guests that she looks down on them. This dismissive attitude is a blemish on this otherwise good hotel. I feel that this employee, Stephany, is in urgent need of further training in the hospitality industry, with the emphasis on anger management.

Right from (Ashley??? on desk at check in) taking care of some B/W Travel cards until checkout I was impressed with Hotel. Had a great room 3rd floor balcony and never heard a sound all night. The pool was well used, they have a two floor water slide that the kids there seemed to really enjoy. Cannot ask for much more at the breakfast buffet and there is lots of seating area. Also like express checkout. Have no trouble with recommending B/W Plus Wine Country Hotel...............

« Lovely hotel, but don't come for the pool »

The hotel is lovely and in great condition. Nice, clean and modern rooms with comfortable beds. Parking is easy and close to quite a few places to eat. Loved the small balcony overlooking the golf course. Road noise is minimal and quietens down in the evening. The only let down is the pool. There is a slide for the kids, but the pool is really small and is little more than a landing area for the slide. Kids take it over and make it unpleasant for adults to even be in the room. Very disappointing.

    « Great location »

Stayed here 3 nights. Was upgraded to suite...wow...my first house wasn't this big! Very clean, the one lady at front desk whose name eludes me (pony tail in hair) was just the friendliest! My only complaint, if you can call it that, is the lighting in the bathroom was quite dim...made shaving a bit difficult. Would definitely stay here again!

    « Very nice, new, mid-range hotel »

Stayed 1 night when passing through, modern, clean hotel. The king bed was so very comfortable, nicely appointed room. Bathroom was great, clean, although the vanity light was poor (too dim for makeup etc). Not a cheap hotel, but I guess you get what you pay for... Also included a terrific breakfast buffet, although we didn't have time to sit & eat, they let us take a selection to go.

    « Another Great Stay »

Busy time in the hotel as they were housing a lot of young hockey players. Considering how may kids were in the hotel, it was still pretty quiet. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly. Easy access on and off the highway. Close to shopping and restaurants.

« Close to Everything in West Kelowna »

Best Western Plus WIne Country has an ideal location for visitors to West Kelowna. Close to the wine tours, just across the street from shopping, drug stores, etc. The hotel is easy to find with direct access from the highway. The rooms were clean and the king size bed was most comfortable with fresh linen and five pillows. In room fridge, coffee maker and microwave are appreciated for the traveller looking to keep costs down. The hotel takes security very seriously with carded access during the night. Also a great value with the complementary hot continental breakfast. Definitely a great value that checks off all the boxes for individual or family travellers.

    « Clean & Comfortable »

We stayed here 1 night and were happy with the accommodation. Our priorities (in order) are cleanliness, security, comfort, amenities, quiet. To begin: this hotel was quite clean and well kept. The bed linens were obviously fresh and crisp and the bathroom was well cleaned (my Lysol wipes lifted very little). The front lobby doors lock at 9pm and require a card key to enter - love that. The property is either new or recently renovated - the decor is tasteful and the rooms spacious with lovely high ceilings. Continental breakfast was included: convenient. There is a pool with a compact fitness room that are well kept/in good order. We were on a ground floor and a road passed close by the window. This was a bit noisy and we kept the curtains closed to avoid giving passers-by an eyeful - this kept the room darker than ideal for getting dressed, doing makeup & hair (bathroom lighting was a little low). In addition the soundproofing between floors could use improvement (whoever was in the room above us sounded like they were moving furniture. Luckily I have custom earplugs for sleep and the tv offers decent sound so I just turned up the volume). Overall the staff, style and state of this property are very good.

« Clean, well priced stay over »

We have stayed here multiple times for quick visits to Kelowna. It is always very clean with good size rooms and comfy beds. They have an indoor pool and jacuzzi and in walking distance is a market, a Thai restaurant, Tim Horton's, a pub and 19 restaurant. As solid stay spot for a solid price.

« Great place and nice staff »

The front desk staff was excellent in ensuring our overnight stay was exactly what we wanted. The first room was very near the road and we knew we wouldn't get much sleep with the traffic so we went back to the front desk and asked for another room. The young lady at the front desk immediately found another room (upgraded us) with no questions asked. The room was nice and clean; nice décor and very quite!! Would definitely stay again. The area in which they are located is very convenient with restaurants and stores on both sides of the road

It's quite close to several shopping centres and even shares a parking lot with one that houses a restaurant, pub, organic grocery, and several professional offices. The room was quite comfortable with a small fridge, microwave, coffee maker, It had a pullout sofa for extra guests but was great for watching TV or reading. The bed was very comfortable. There was lots of lighting on the desk, night tables and overhead. The bathroom had a large vanity for our personal toiletries. The shower was easy to set. Very central location in the Okanagan.

« Well managed, excellent staff, comfortable room. »

Only natural cleaners are used in this hotel. We were welcomed with a fresh, light citrous smell that made breathing delightful in West Kelowna's dry climate. Front desk and cleaning staff were always quick but attentive to all our needs. No need to go out for breakfast as there is ample supply and choices for every appetite. The morning we were checking out we found an itemized list of our charges on a bill slipped under our door.

« Stolen bag not addressed »

I stayed here on a business trip from October 26 - 28. By some mistake, I was booked to the wrong hotel and was not allowed to transfer to the one that I wanted. So here I am in the middle of nowhere... On day 2, my entire make up bag was stolen from the bathroom. I had cleared my things off the counter so that it would be easier for the staff to clean. After a long day at work, to come back and find your belongings missing is extremely frustrating. I reported this to a girl named Haley who was working in the front. A few of her replies were "well what do you want me to do about it?". She also said "That's weird. It never happened before, so why would it happen now?". She brushed it off as if it was crazy of me to be upset about my stuff being missing. I'm not sure if she did not believe me, or did not care. But as a guest, alone at a hotel, this really upset me. For your staff to not even address the issue of stolen items makes me wonder: Why such a large franchise has no procedure for their staff to follow when something like this happens. I also felt very unsafe after the invasion of privacy and nonchalant staff. I kept the lights on all night. I reported this to the manager the next morning. She said she would look into it and contact me. I still have not been contacted. Anyway, that is my experience at this hotel. I would not stay here ever again. Future travelers can keep this in mind and make their own choice when choosing where to stay. Thanks.

    « Best Best Western »

I have yet to be disappointed with Best Western properties. Many of the hotels I stay at are arranged by others but when I am given a choice I book with Best Western. Here at the Best Western Plus Wine Country Hotel and Suites the staff are very friendly, helpful and the rooms are of excellent standard. I did not avail myself of the complimentary breakfast , however, I noticed that the other guests appeared to enjoy it. The only downside to the location is the lack of a quality restaurant; there is a variety of fast food outlets but they are not my choice for dining.

« Good (off season) value in wine country »

We were very pleased with our two-day stay in West Kelowna. Even though our room was first flor facing the parking lot, we were not bothered by noise. The staff was friendly and efficient. The rooms were impressive due to the at least ten feet tall ceiling, and the new and fresh decor and furnishings. The king-size bed was firm and comfortable, with plenty of extra pillows. The modern desk chair and a comfortable upholstered chair meant we didn't have to sit on the bed to watch the first game of the 2015 World Series go into extra innings. The hot and cold choices for breakfast were above average, and the breakfast room was spacious with plenty of seating. I wish this was not so far from home. I would love to return.

« Fantastic Hotel in the Okanagan »

This is a very nice hotel in West Kelowna. Rooms were very spacious, clean and had a fantastic view of the lake. Breakfast was very well done with both a pancake and waffle machine plus hot food that differed daily. Good gym and pool. Overall a great place to stay just south of Kelowna, very close to a number of wineries, including Mission Hill (which we could see from our lakeside room). Highly recommend this hotel to anyone going to Kelowna. Only takes 10 minutes to get to downtown Kelowna.

« Nice Strcture Poor Service »

I was not happy with the person who checked me in and out. Curt and surly are words that come to mind. So unlike my experience the night before in Golden. Won't be back. Clerk could barely acknowledge that I was standing right in front of her and ignored the information I was trying to give to her to facilitate my check-in. I felt very unwelcome and will not return to this facility. On the otherhand, the BW hotel in Golden was staffed by very helpful and responsive staff

    « Excellent Choice »

We picked this spot because it's close to some friends we went to visit, and they recommended it. When we got there, we were pleasantly surprised at its excellent amenities (room, pool with waterslide and hot-tub all looked brand-new and superb). Outside, we realized it was walking distance to many shops and minutes to major wineries and waterfront walking trails. It was off-season so we got a bargain rate but we were treated just as well as places costing us twice as much.

Just as the title suggests, the Best Western Plus chain consistently meets expectations in everyway. These mid range hotels are perfect for the weary traveller and for short stays. We stayed here for two nights on a recent trip to B.C. It is nicely located right off the highway in West Kelowna with lots of restaurants and shops nearby and it is close to several wineries. We booked a room with a king size bed which was comfortable and all of the amenities in the room worked. Breakfast was fine with a selection of items you'd expect for a continental breakfast. Our room was a King with a beautiful view of the golf course pond and fountain which we could enjoy from inside the room or from our little balcony. We also had a fridge (where we stored our wine from local wineries we visited) a microwave and a coffee maker that made 2 great cups of coffee at a time. The hotel itself was lovely and the staff exceptional. I have a medical condition where my hips are very painful and when I requested an extra matress pad they immediately sent one up with a very friendly and efficient girl named Debbie, who put it on doubled over for extra comfort! I slept like a baby that night I am happy to say.The breakfasts in the morning were hot and delicious, 1st day pancakes and sausages, 2nd day waffles, bacon and mini omelettes. The 2 ladies that took care of the breakfast area were awesome as well, friendly and efficient. We will definitely stay again!!

« A perfect place for a mini wine tour »

I stayed at this hotel the weekend before Thanksgiving. It was close to perfection. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful, the room was very clean and well-designed, all in-room amenities worked, and our view was very nice. We took advantage of the free full breakfast both mornings and were impressed with the variety and quality. The attendants were helpful and patient as they assisted guests with the pancake machine and waffle maker. We didn't try the pool, but it looked clean and well-maintained. Location was perfect for a weekend wine tour!

« Great Hotel, Close to Wineries »

This was a great hotel. The hot breakfast was very good. The location was great as well. Would definitely stay here again. Did experience a few minor issues with the television but overall it was a great place to stay.

    « Excellent »

Very comfortable beds, rooms are clean. Hot breakfast is included and there is a large enough choice to please just about everyone. Indoor pool, hot tub and water slide as well as a fitness room. Located in and around lots of shopping - if you want to wander around. Tim's across the parking lot.

    « Really Nice »

A really nice hotel with great staff. It was odd that there was a tv in the bedroom, but not the couch/living room area, but it was a deterrent. However, every time we wanted to watch TV, we had to unplug it for a minute, then punch in a code on the remote, but it just seemed to be a glitch with our room, as other guests we were staying with did not have the issue in their room. Breakfast was good, and just enough selection to please your appetite. The kids loved the pool and the staff were extremely friendly. Overall, I recommend.

« Best Western, reliable and reasonable »

We've come to expect good service and pleasant accommodations at Best Westerns, and West Kelowna BW was no exception. We appreciated the exceptionally friendly and professional staff, quiet room, and extra blankets.

We make an annual trip to Kelowna and we have always stayed at the Best Western PLUS Wine Country Hotel. We find that the staff are extremely pleasant and helpful, the rooms are quiet and comfortable, and the service is excellent. Definitely stay there again on our next trip to Kelowna.
