Best Western Plains Motel

Family run business. Very friendly service and exceeded my expectations. The owner shoveled snow BETWEEN cars where you have to step to get in and out of your car. That was at 6 a.m. You won't get that with the major chains.

Stopped by at 9 pm on March 14 with no reservation and got the last room. The front desk person was so friendly, wish I could mention her by name! The room was clean and conveniently located. The free breakfast was one of the best we have had in our travels; lots of options and enough seating. Very happy with our stay!

The people were so nice, we thought we were in a movie! It's a family owned motel and they obviously take pride in their work Apparently the only motel in Wall with a pool. Clean room, clean pool, nice breakfast, a “treasure chest” for the kids to get a prize. Highly recommended!

The people, place, and amenities were all great here. It was clean, comfortable, and the dog area was top notch. All the staff we in countered during our stay were so friendly. And the breakfast had great choices. We will stay here again when we are back in the area.

We found this hotel be very comfortable. It was very clean, quiet and convenient to sites we wanted to see. The beds where very comfortable. We where able to check in early which was great. The breakfast was delicious and had a variety of choices. We definitely recommend this hotel.

We spent a night here while visiting the Badlands National Park. The staff at the hotel are great! They take pride in their work and go out of their way to help. Our room was comfortable and clean, although a bit worn. Each room opens to the outside and we ended up swatting mosquitoes that snuck in while we moved into the room. The room included a table and chairs which was great for snacks and games. The sink is outside the bathroom, which was useful for multiple people getting ready in the morning. Breakfast was standard fare, with enough variety to satisfy everyone. This is a good spot to stay while visiting the Badlands.

What a pleasant surprise to arrive at this motel and be greeted by Ren, a sweet, kind and caring Front Desk Representative. Her joy was contagious. We stopped here on our way to the Badlands and I'm so glad we did. The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was very good. All employees were friendly and appeared to be enjoying their job. This motel has been family owned and operated since 1978. They treat their associates and guests like family. I highly recommend this Best Western!

We love this place! The rooms are spotless clean, quiet and very comfortable. The customer service is among the best in the business: friendly, efficient, thorough and very helpful. They genuinely want to you enjoy your stay with and your visit to Wall, S.D. We did! This is a family-owned and operated hotel. Their pride in the place and concern for customer satisfaction is very evident will continue to be that way for generations to come. This is how hotels were meant to be and are supposed to be. This is one of the best Best Western Hotels! It is in a great location - only 9 miles from Badlands National Park entrance, walking distance to restaurants, nearby grocery store and just off the highway. The staff is wonderful, hotel very clean, very good breakfast. Ren at front desk helpful and very nice. Odie the housekeeper left a beautiful towel arrangement in our room on check in which was a really nice touch - thank you! Gentleman taking care of breakfast was friendly and attentive. Keep up the good work! Great value, and location.

This is an older facility, but it was clean and well maintained. For instance the rug in our room was relatively new or recently cleaned. The staff was very pleasant. Convenient to the Sage Creak section of Badlands. Within walking distance of several restaurants in Wall

I travelled with my three dogs. They were great with finding me a king sized bed room near the pet area. The pet area is very impressive! Well lit, green grass, pet waste disposal bags available and they washed down the area at least once a day to keep on fresh.

There was confusion with our reservation, but the owner listened and rectified the situation. We appreciate that he obviously cares about his customers. We would stay here again and would recommend it to our friends. We required an accessible room and were very pleased with the room. The hotel is clean and comfortable. The staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful. If you are trying to decide where to stay on Wall, stay here!

Stayed 2 nights to explore the Badlands area. This property is one of the nicest motels I have ever stayed in, and I travel a lot. The room, staff, pools, and breakfast were all great. The quirky Wall Drug store is a short walk away, and the entrance to Badlands National Park is just on the other side of the I 90. Several dining options are also within walking distance.

Stayed at this hotel at the start of our South Dakota week due to it being close the Badlands National Park and the famous Wall Drug Storeound an itinerary on line the person recommended this hotel. It does have outside entrances and the second floor is accessed by outside stairs. We were in room 268. Check in was handled by Irwin at the Front Desk who was very hospitable. He did well to thank us for being part of the Best Western guest program. He explained the location and times of breakfast and the location of our rooms, he gave us the password for the internet which worked great throughout the property. Our guest room was nice and clean and we enjoyed the short note from our room attendant Mario. TV had multiple channels. I didn't like the tub shower but understand this is costly. The bed was very comfortable. There is a microwave and mini fridge. I put a couple waters and a coke in the fridge, the next morning they were all frozen. Maintenance needs to check the temp. Breakfast buffet was very nice and included a pancake machine, I love pancakes so I really enjoyed that. Biscuits, gravy, scrambled eggs, sausage, donuts, apple fritters, fruit, yogurts, juice and coffee. The breakfast attendant was David who had a warm smile and was very friendly. I met the mother of the owner in the parking lot and enjoyed a nice conversation with her regarding the hospitality of her staff. If your travels bring you to Wall, South Dakota, we highly recommend this Best Western hotel.

We had been gone for two weeks stayed in 13 hotels. My husband said this was the best bed he had slept in great location within walking distance of wall drugs, and restaurants. Breakfast area was very nice. Ren at the front. desk was very nice. Helping us with restaurant options. What a great employee

This hotel is what I would call a motel layout. No inside hallways. Outside door entrances.Two stories, no elevators. No problem getting a first floor room. Room 211 (ground floor) was in excellent shape. Can see that they have made upgrade touches over time. Comfortable beds. Nightstands with lamps and outlets. Desk with lamp and outlets. Carpets in good shape. Good size refrigerator. Had good shower heads in the bathtubs rather than the cheapo ones. Breakfast is like most others but made better by friendly and attentive staff. Driveways, walkways, clean....just a well kept place. Wifi was not the best but we were able to stream some things. Happy that we stayed here.

Good location for exploring nearby Badlands NP, and the overload of Wall Drug, this Best Western had clean rooms, comfortable beds, and a hard-working and friendly staff. Full breakfast was a plus, and a staff member came to every table and spoke to every guest about their experience. Some great (pre-Covid level) customer service from the owners and staff. Highly recommended in a fairly remote locale.

This is our second time staying here on a cross country trip, and it's still great! I love how this place never changes, in a good way. It gives me nostalgic feelings of roadside motels from when I was a kid, but it's nicer and more comfortable. Pride of ownership is evident here. Everything is clean and extremely well maintained. The breakfast is much better than average. All of the staff are helpful, efficient, and they seem to work together well. Our room was quiet even with cars parked out front and we slept well.

Our room was immaculate, clean linens, surfaces, everything in it was in perfect working order. It even smelled quite nice! They gave us plenty of towels for both the sink and shower. Check in and check out were easy and straightforward, with helpful staff. There were also a lot of good food and beverage options at the continental breakfast! Overall excellent stay, I felt the price point for our amount of beds and quality of stay was more than fair. Enjoyed our stay and definitely will stay there again if in Wall again!

Don't stay in Wall! It's a gross cheesy town! Stay in Deadwood or some other town on western side of park instead. Hotel was very dated, dark, walls very thin, and a zoo of families at pool and breakfast.

Front desk very responsive to check in issue. Good mattress; pillows OK. Housekeeping missed some routine steps and some room equipment was broken or hard to work. Breakfast food typically poor as in (all?) other mid-range US hotels, though coffee was OK.

Stopped here for a night on the drive back home from Wyoming. Very close to wall drug and the badlands and right off the freeway Very spacious room with a great size table, hutch/closet,bedside table (one) no usb but plug ins and lamps, fridge and microwave Beds and pillows were comfortable, though just a small thin blanket which I always bring a blanket so it was fine. Indoor and outdoor pool which my husband and son said was too cold (I thought it was heated) also a small hot tub. Breakfast was sufficient, did have hot items which is always a plus. Plenty of towels, bathroom was a little small but no big deal. Had some food items in the main building and popcorn Was able to park right in front of our room Tv worked great and good selection of channels. Slept great. Double check as our windows were unlocked which we did not notice until bed time, not a huge deal (just have history of someone breaking in through a window at an apartment) Only con was a musty smell

Family owned best BW I've stayed. It is right at the doorstep of the Badlands and only an hour from Rapid City. We stayed Sturgis weekend and the staff had all hands on deck. The only drawback is parking is tight when busy. Walking distance to Wall drug

This motel style Best Western is steps from Walk Drug and only a few miles from Badlands National Park. Irvin at check in was friendly and quick. The room was clean, the beds were comfortable and the pool was a welcome amenity. Lovely port in the storm after a day in the hot sun.

Great place to stay at the Badlands. Employees are kind, helpful and dependable. They always have a smile on their face! Must stop on the way to Yellowstone. I wish they could move this to Yellowstone and give people other options other than Xanterra's monopoly. (Horrible stay at Grant Village Lodge at Yellowstone.) I highly recommend Best Western in Wall SD.

Great place for a night in Wall - Badlands national park area. Two pools - indoor and outdoor.... I had to drag my boys out of there. Pet friendly - little pet area, but it's nice that you don't have to go too far for your dog to get some relief. Typical hotel breakfast. The rooms are nothing special, but they are clean, and the beds are decent. Staff was fantastic - very kind and welcoming.

Stayed 5 nights at BW Plains. Great location, good wifi and very nice staff. Breakfast was fine as a normal BW one is. Parking is a little tight but doable. After we left they called me and said I had left a battery charger in my room and they offered to mail it to my home. That is the reason for the 5 stars.

We were pleasantly surprised from the moment we arrived. The gentleman at check in was extremely helpful and provided all the information we needed. The property is very well maintained. Both mornings, we saw staff everywhere working hard. Our room was very clean and comfortable. We had everything we needed. Parking was easy and right outside our door. Breakfast was busy, but again staff was working hard and kept everything stocked and clean right down to drying outdoor tables for people to use. Highly recommend this hotel!!!

I liked that we could park our car right in front of our room on the ground floor. Family owned who were on the premises making sure everything was being attended to. The breakfast was really good. The beds were comfy and the shower was hot! Would definitely stay there again!

This was the perfect hotel for our family with kids. Nice rooms, incredibly friendly staff who worked hard to keep everything clean and running smoothly. We liked the little workout room and we all enjoyed the indoor and outdoor pools after a day in the Badlands. Would definitely recommend for a family!

We stayed two nights at the Best Western in Wall, SD. The hotel was nothing really special. It had decent rooms which were clean and enough space to meet our basic needs. The bed wasn't the best but was adequate for a couple of nights. The hotel lacks an elevator which would have been problematic for my parents if I was not able to haul all our luggage up and down the stairs. The breakfast was pretty good overall with a good number of options. The key reason this hotel is a good choice is the location. Several good restaurants and coffee shops are nearby. Badlands National Park is only a few miles greatly reducing travel times on our trip. While I would not say this is a great hotel, I was glad to have stayed just for the convenience.

A nice motel with great updates and very clean rooms and spaces. Awesome to have an outdoor pool and an indoor pool and indoor hot tub. All the pool furniture was in great shape, too. Such nice staff, too! Breakfast had a lot of options. Will stay there again!

We spent 2 nights at BW Plains motel . It was close to The Badlands so location was great. Our room was comfortable and clean. The free breakfast was a plus and includes cereal, yogurt, fruit oatmeal, pastries, eggs, sausage and pancakes. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. A great place to stay!

We stayed here in room 206 on 6/5-6/6/23. The room is divided into two bed rooms separated by a small hallway with your sink and the bath/toilet area is off this area. Both bedrooms have pocket door for privacy. The front room has one bed, a fridge TV, microwave and coffee pot. The rear room had a TV, two beds and armoire wardrobe closet. The rooms were good for one to two people each. The internet was slow, water pressure good. Breakfast is in the pool building complex in the center of the property.. Parking is tight we were unable to park near the room. The front desk staff was very good. There was a restaurant about 2 min. down the road. It's a good choice while visiting Badlands.

We stayed here unexpectedly due to a dangerous ice storm in the area. The front desk agent accommodated us quickly and provided a room on ground floor since we were traveling with a pet. Our room was clean & had a handy microwave and refrigerator. The beds were comfortable and the heater was strong and worked well! The free breakfast included hot & tasty coffee, pancakes, yogurt, cereal, and eggs. All the staff were super friendly and helpful which is what makes SD special. Thanks to the staff for making our emergency stay a pleasant one!

This property is a hidden gem in a quiet small town only 10 min. to the entrance of Badlands National Park. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and found the rooms to be clean, updated and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. The internet was good and breakfast was nice as well. I would highly recommend and return to this hotel.

Stayed here with my dog in October 2022. It's a very nice traditional drive-up motel just off I-90 in Wall, SD. I would 100% stay here again. Room was very nicely prepared and everything was clean and tidy. The breakfast is one of the best I've had a for the self-service model.

I wasn't sure what to expect for a motel in small town, but I was very impressed. The kids loved the free popcorn. The 2 room suite with 3 queen beds provided so much space for us to spread out. Location was great for access to Wall Drug and the Badlands. Breakfast was decent. Rooms very clean (and the towel"art" on the bed reminded me of being on a cruise.

This was a very nice hotel! Our room was very nice and the housekeeper had made a heart with one of the towels for the bed. There was a nice note from her, also, and a letter from the hotel owners. They seem to really want you to have a good experience. Everyone was super friendly, especially the gentleman in the breakfast area. I would definitely go back.

We stopped here on our way from Indiana to Yellowstone. The motel is an older style, 2-story with external entry. My kids thought that was so neat. The front desk staff was friendly and accommodating. Our room was spacious, clean and quiet! We even had a heart shaped towel on our bed! The pool area was nice and breakfast had a lot of option. We would definitely stay here again if we're in the area!

Stopped in Wall, SD overnight to visit Badlands National Park and Wall Drug Store. This hotel is right off the interstate and right down the street from Badlands. It is perfectly located for these sites. The hotel was large and roomy, clean and comfy. The maids even made a heart out of a towel and left it on the end of the bed with a letter from the owner explaining the history of the ownership of the hotel. The breakfast was a typical hotel breakfast. We had the waffles and some fruit. It was only one night but it was a very pleasant stay.

The pool and hot tub were clean and refreshing! The bed was unbelievably comfortable. Breakfast was really good. My only complaint were the blankets being thin but that didn't prevent us from having a great nights sleep!

Very nice accommodations, great staff. Rooms were spacious and clean. Pool, exercise and breakfast areas were nice. Within walking distance to stores and Wall Drug. Plus free popcorn! Highly recommend!

My wife decided to join me at the last minute. She has mobility issues and when she is with me I ALWAYS get an accessible room. We did not have that this time. But the front desk clerk took great care of my wife helping her safely get in the room.

The BW in Wall, is a great small town hotel, it may not have all the amenities and decor of larger city hotels, but is a nice well maintained, family owned, hotel in western SD, with a great staff. If you are visiting the Badlands National Park and the Minuteman Missile National Site, this is a great choice.

This motel is clean and dog friendly. .3 miles from Wall Drug or the two other restaurants in town. Our room was clean, breakfast was solid with a mix of hot & cold foods & fresh, hot coffee. The breakfast room was clean and spacious. Room was spacious too. We are glad we chose this motel above the others )once we got to town and could compare). Owned and operated by 4 generations of the same family!

I decided the day of that I was going to stay in the area Sunday night over Labor Day weekend. I was able to get a room for a reasonable price. I appreciated the motel style so I could back my car up to my outside door of the room on the first floor (there are2 floors)

Since there aren't many options in Wall, it served our needs for a night. It's close to Badlands National Park and town. It's an older 2 story with outside stairs. Our room was large but it seemed as if furniture had been removed since there was no place for a second person to sit other than the bed. The room was dark and the bath very small. It seemed clean enough. No place to sit outside except in the parking lot or by pool, but that was always full. Breakfast was eh.. with a side of flies. The person stocking (or trying to stock) breakfast was doing a great job with an impossible task. We turned around and left. One positive was Deb at front desk. Very pleasant with a nice smile and truly seemed delighted we were there. Don't expect a Marriott but it is ok for one night due to its location to the park.

There aren't many options when booking a room in Wall, SD, so we chose Best Western based on their national reputation. It was an older-style two-story hotel with parking in front of your room. The room was clean but damp and had a musty smell. The breakfast bar was adequate but small so lots of people were navigating through the crowd trying to get to the food they wanted.

Walking distance to restaurants and shopping. Quick drive to Bad Lands National Park. King room was spacious and met our needs. Breakfast was as expected. 4 stars because the bed was uncomfortable, too firm.

We enjoyed this hotel. All of the staff we met were very kind and accommodating. This is a family owned hotel. It was very well kept and clean. We had a 2 room family suite. The website says 3 queens but the bed in the single room is a Double so beware if you want a queen bed away from the rest of your family. There were 2 TV's and a small bathroom. The breakfast was ok. The pools were great. The outdoor pool was very clean. The indoor pool is closed from 10-12 daily for cleaning. The front desk staff leaves at 11.

This is a family owned motel. Their beds and pillows are comfortable here. We had a good nice sleep! The breakfast is good with fresh fruit choices. An added bonuses was how close this motel was to the Badlands National Park. We would highly recommend this motel.

If you're road-tripping to the badlands or somewhere close, this is a really great location with a decent price for the area. Pretty standard Motel. The good: Friendly staff, 2 big pools, included breakfast, ok price, walking distance from Wall Drug The bad: Dirty hot tub (clumps of hair were floating everywhere), no USB charging ports in the room, small pillows

I believe this is the best place to stay when traveling near Wall, SD area. The lobby staff and workers work really hard to keep everyone happy. Haven't met a more friendly group. Our room was clean but did have a musty smell. Our pull out sofa was ok after we found some clean bedding. My daughter is about 100 pounds and it was just her size. It was not comfortable but it was a place to sleep. We had hot water and clean linens, the most important factors while staying at a hotel. We enjoyed the breakfast, especially the little pancake machine.

Stayed here July overnight while visiting badlands. Definitely best choice in Wall. Rooms are clean ,updated. Breakfast was decent. Wall is a little limited and few restaurants to choose so one night was enough. This is the place you want to stay.

This motel is in a location where it doesn't have to be all that good. But it is. We travel frequently and this was once of the cleanest motels we have visited. Staff was friendly and accommodating . Rooms are set back from the road and are quiet. I noticed the towels were high quality and softer than at other hotels and motels. As mentioned it's family run. The larger and "more modern" chains could learn a thing or two from this operation. Would visit again.

Nice place- would stay again. Room was very clean. Motel was packed probably due to close location to the Badlands National Park, but despite the crowds it was quiet at night. Staff was very friendly. Breakfast was ok- I noticed many places in the West do biscuits and gravy. A few more healthy options would have been nice. Overall, a good place to stay.

Great stay, pizza place attached to hotel. The hotel is updated and has multiple sections of seating area in the lobby. One of the best things was Marcos-the pizza place. We didn't even have to leave the building. The beds could be updated, but we still slept pretty good. It was in a safe neighborhood. The hotel was clean and had a great breakfast!

This was our third stay at this motel. We always look forward to staying here when we're passing through! The rooms and public spaces are always very clean and well maintained. The pride this family has in their business really shows! We love the indoor and outdoor pools as well as the hot tub.

Pros: - Staff is professional and friendly - Rooms are spacious - Location is great for exploring the Badlands Cons: - Parking is tight - While room is spacious, bathroom is tiny - Breakfast - main consisted of: cold hard boiled eggs cold biscuits hot sausage/gravy Seemed like an odd combination to me, I think given the choice most people would prefer hot scrambled eggs over cold hard boiled eggs, given the reaction of other guests the day I was there I was not alone in this thinking - Pool There are at least 2 permanently affixed signs stating the pool/fitness area is closed for cleaning daily from 10am to 12pm. My husband tried to use the hot tub at 8am, it was already closed. There was quite a crew of cleaners so I'm sure everything is thoroughly cleaned when finished, which is great. As a guest, I can only go by the posted signs, I wish the hotel would follow the schedule posted. All in all, ok for one night.

Beautiful, clean, well maintained family owned and it shows! Real wood furniture in rooms, unique decor, great full breakfast. Friendly owners that truly care about their property. At the end of The Badlands, great location. Highly recommend.

This was the cleanest Hotel we visited on out 2 week vacation! It was really hot and we loved the outdoor pool! The location was great - an easy walk to Wall Drug and the entrance to the Badlands was at the end of the street! Everyone there was great!

We stayed here the night before exploring the Badlands. The hotel is so beautifully maintained--with nice touches in the room. You can tell that the owners really care. Amenities are basic, but the hotel is clean and the free breakfast is good. The hotel is also very close to the attractions in Wall--like the famous drug store, but also a cute coffee stand and other restaurants. You can easily and safely walk to all those locations. Also a quick drive to the Badlands park entrance with lots of great short hikes and close to the lodge, too. Highly recommend staying here.

My wife met a really nice family out in the parking lot while smoking a cigarette who was also from Missouri, and My daughter and I went to the pool and met several families from Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Omaha Nebraska!!! Lol, yes, it was a full house when we stayed on the first weekend of June, but it was a LOT of fun!!! It was like a giant pool party!!! Ok, now the room.....it was SUPER clean, the beds were comfy, there was good water pressure from the shower. The staff was really nice at the front desk. I would most definitely recommend this hotel to others.

Very clean motel. Large room, very comfortable bed. Breakfast could use more healthy choices like plain yogurt. Very nice staff. Big TV with a lot of PBS channels, which was surprising and enjoyable. Seems a family run motel with a lot of pride in its operation.

This was a very short stay for us but we were very impressed by the indoor and outdoor options for swimming. Breakfast was a very nice variety. The room was very clean and the staff was extremely friendly. Parking as close to the room and we will definitely stay here if we are in the area again.

if there full don't expect Internet in half the lot/rooms. Good luck parking if you arrive after Nine pm with a full-size pickup.. Very little seating in the Breakfast area. Family owned very friendly, Nick tired had to remedy out Internet problems didn't come on tell half the lot cleared out in the morning. The rooms are a 3 star with 4 Star+ prices

Family owned and run hotel. Great service from check in to check out. We were on second floor and the reception sent someone to carry our bags up for us. Pools were immaculate and just the right temperature. Stayed 3 nights and saw staff frequently attending to rooms and grounds. Never had so much attention to detail at a chain hotel. Highly recommend.

Clean and comfortable rooms, if a bit dated. This is a motel-style property, with easy access from car to first-floor rooms (otherwise, you'll have to navigate steps to second floor). Friendly staff. Decent breakfast. Seemed a bit pricey, but probably worth it versus alternatives.

room smelled smoky but cam with a fridge and microwave which was nice. location for the Badlands was good and no really highend options in Wall. Close to everything the town had to offer. breakfast was better than average for a hotel in this price range.

This hotel was fantastic. The room was large, very clean and the staff was excellent. They have a very nice little dog area in the back that was just perfect and everyone picked up after their dogs. Very clean area for them. Our dog loved it. They have a hot breakfast that looked good but I just got coffee. I love that I could just back in the car and unload right into my room. I would definitely recommend this place. Also just blocks from Wall drug and some restaurants.

There was a lovely note on the table when we got in the room explaining how it was a family-run business, which was particularly touching for some reason. The room was clean. Breakfast was good and clean. There were a few hotels in a cluster, and I'm so glad we chose this one.

This hotel is very close to the Badlands National Park which made us choose it. The staff was very friendly. The first room they gave us smelled strongly of sewage and they moved us with no problem. However, they (to our knowledge) didn't seem to go investigate the smell which was a bit concerning. The second room was clean but very basic. The free breakfast in the morning was okay, the biscuits were cold, and it was a bit cramped. This hotel serves the purpose of a clean place to rest your head for the night but not much more than that.

This motor is the cleanest, friendliest and probably the safest I have been to. The rooms are not fancy of course but perfectly appointed and well maintained . They have a nice pet area and the best morning coffee. The staff is welcoming and friendly. I travel alone as a woman and I felt completely safe!

This is a family owned business. Very well taken care of and very clean. The usually great beds, nice rooms. It is older style and all updated. Stairs to second floor rooms. The usually BW breakfast. Which is fine with us. A few blocks for downtown. Walkable if you like walking.

This is a family-owned business since 1970 and I'm pretty sure it hasn't been updated in all that time. The room was dark and cramped with way too much stuff, and smelled overpoweringly like cigarette smoke, like walking into the home of lifelong smoker. They say all the rooms have been non-smoking for years, so my guess is nothing IN the room has been changed since it was a smoking room - carpets, curtains, furniture. I'm sure they would have given me a different room if I'd asked but late after a long drive it seemed like too big a deal. Though ironically, all the lengths I went to to try and keep my own belongings from picking up the smell were probably a bigger deal. I noticed others with their doors cracked too. I also couldn't get the ac/heater to work well, it was either stiflingly hot or freezing cold with only a very thin blanket on the bed. Unfortunately this was my first unpleasant hotel experience in a long, long time.

Little dated but it's certainly not problematic. Clean, friendly staff, pet friendly, and good breakfast. Near Badlands National Park and of course Wall Drug. Stayed on a Thursday evening and refreshing after the haul from Iowa. Pool and stuff we didn't use.

The staff at the front desk are professional, knowledgeable and helpful. The rooms are very clean, the beds are comfortable. Good food close to the hotel and plenty to do in Wall. I will definitely stay at this Best Western again.

Our dog wouldn't use the park! We pay extra for having our pet travel with us but others do not clean up pets mess; the motel even provided bags but NO ONE CLEANS IT UP!, We thought the extra pet fee should at least provide an employee to shovel up the waste?

We recently stayed at the Best Western in Wall, SD on a Thursday night. We found ourselves in a very strange situation when we arrived at Super 8 across the street to find that it was still "closed for the season". We were on a Spring Break trip to the Black Hills/Badlands area of SD, and we had made the reservation at Super 8 for that particular night about 11 months prior (so planned ahead almost a year!). We had to call the 800 number for Super 8 to get that resolved so that we didn't suddenly get charged for there when we didn't even set foot in the place! Anyway, Best Western was right across the street and appeared to be open, so we gave it a shot. The friendly front desk worker was sympathetic about our situation, and it seemed that Best Western had plenty of rooms available. We easily got a room with 2 queen beds. We were put on the 2nd (top) floor, which was very quiet. Note that a 2nd floor room requires stairs, as there are no elevators, and everything is exterior entrances here. This property seems older, but the room and everything else was still very clean and fresh. We enjoyed the indoor pool and hot tub in a separate building in the parking lot (where breakfast is also located in the morning). Super 8 does not have these amenities, so it was nice to now have a pool and hot tub! I went back and looked at my reservation record for Super 8, and they had us down for $87 to stay the one night, and it was $102 at Best Western, which was slightly higher, but we felt it was worth it for having additional amenities now, as well as still being able to stay in Wall to see the Badlands the next morning! We really felt that Best Western came to the rescue for us in Wall, and we will return on future visits to the area! We got going pretty early the next morning to get started in the Badlands, and it was a quick drive right down the road. This was a nice overnight at the near-end of our weeklong Spring Break trip, and it is a perfect location for the Badlands and Wall Drug! Wall is a very friendly little town!

This was a fun hotel in a neat little town. Lots of places to eat downtown and the Wall drug store. This hotel has some age but was clean. The breakfast area was well kept. We had a first floor room and were able to back the car up right in front of the door.

My husband and I, along with my father and step-mother were on a road trip, headed out to Yellowstone National Park. We pulled in late after a long day of driving. We were met with fast and friendly check-in. While the lobby and rooms may have been in need of some update, it was all cosmetic. The room was a nice accommodation for a nights sleep. The area, while also looked outdated, appeared safe. We did not utilize the pool, however, the hotel was set up in a horseshoe shape the surrounded the pool building so all rooms had quick access to the amenity. If you plan to sleep in, this may not be the spot as it certainly appeared everyone was travel to and from and were up quite early to start their day. Free breakfast was served in the pool house. Due to the number of people partaking, we chose to grab some quick fruit and hit the road toward the Badlands. I've stayed in numerous Best Westerns and don't recall ever having a bad experience. The Plains Motel certainly keep that streak alive. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

Comfortable and clean. Excellent, friendly check-in service and super breakfast spread. Doors open to the parking lot rather than having interior building access, which worries some people, but the place felt safe and secure.

We stayed 6 nights and couldnt be happier. The rooms were clean and well taken care of. Our pet was welcome and we had no problems. Their beds were not worn out and actually we slept better than our bed at home. Can't wait to go back!!

The hotel is a typical older style Best Western, with the doors to the outside, but with decent sized rooms, and comfortable beds and bedding, which enabled a good nights sleep. We had some luggage and appreciated the first floor. The AC is quiet. The location is convenient close to the freeway and a great place from which to visit Badlands.

Traveling on a road trip across US , this property by far exceeded all others and we will return every summer to this particular Best Western. It's quality of staff, cleanliness, top notch rooms and all the little extra touches, very impressed, like no other experience while on the road!

We stayed two nights while visiting the Badlands. The location is perfect for walking to everything in Wall and a quick drive to the entrance to Badlands National Park. It's an older style motel, with room entrances from outside, but everything was clean and neat. Our room was spotless and had lots of towels, and our housekeeper (I wish I could remember her name) even left us some towel art in the shape of a heart. The included breakfast was fine. A lot of packaged foods, which isn't something we usually eat, but they did have fresh fruit, cereal, and hard boiled eggs so it was enough to get the day started. It was better than many hotels are doing these days. We had one small issue - after returning home I discovered my credit card was charged for our two-night stay even though I had pre-paid with Black Hills Reservations. I called the property and spoke with Debbie, and the charge was immediately reversed. That's what excellent customer service is all about. I highly recommend this property.

We stayed here for two nights to visit Badlands National Park. The motel location is very convenient, nice little town ... everything close-by. Staff is very friendly, very service oriented and very responsive to a small concern we had with our room.

The price doesn't match because one of the suite rooms is not equipped w/a window. Best Western should have indicated this clearly on all of its advertising websites related. The suite room w/o a window is not worthy $231.00/Night. Undeniably, I am unhappy with it, but I am happy to share my experience ------ to stay in a suite w/o window in Wall, SD with all of my friends and relatives. In fact, I used to stay in Best Western, Socorro, NM and Jakarta, Indonesia. Although the rooms were small, I felt at home. Before Sep. 5, 2021, your hotel had always been top of my selection. After that, I, unfortunately have to say Bye Bye.

Very good service and the room is very clean. Best of all the location, if you are planning to visit the Badlands this is the place to stay. I will recommend this to my friends and relatives.I will rate this motel a five star.

This was a nice stay in Wall and close to the Badlands National Park. The outdoor pool area seemed very nice and the breakfast area was very clean. The rooms have a rustic decor and the only downside was the lighting was a bit dim, especially in the bathroom area.

We were traveling through on a long trip & I chose this motel because it is a Best Western Property. This place is SO well run right down to having extra towels, blankets, pillows & extra coffee pods in the room. I was very impressed by the attention to detail. If we were back in this area, I would certainly stay here again.

Our stay was Ok. Staff was super nice and helpful. Room smelled musty and was humid despite running AC all of the time. You can tell it was an older room, but was updated and clean looking. Could hear dripping water in the walls when we ran the sink faucet. We had one of the family rooms and it was set up great for privacy for parents and children. Price was good. Breakfast options very limited (some places still not serving ANY food during COVID). Grabbed food a couple of times but didn't have a full breakfast.

This was a typical Best Western, clean room, very dark, dark bedspread and clean sheets on an OK bed. Small bathroom, no elevators, so you need to carry luggage upstairs. The but is that it was Very expensive!

The staff were exceptional at making sure our room was ready for an early check in 1:30 pm so I could participate in a last minute conference call. I chose the hotel because they have high speed internet. The town of Wall looks bigger than Interior, if you want to stay close to the Badlands. Separate building for indoor pool and spa also has the breakfast area. Our room had been renovated and the furniture was new. All very clean.

It was typical Best Western older property with nice staff, clean room, and adequate breakfast. But in a 3 day/2 night stay wifi only worked 25% of the time. It was a known problem because front desk offered a guide to sign on if problems but it was nonexistent most of our stay. This isn't sufficient in a no-cell-signal town like Wall. Cannot recommend this property.

Very nice hotel. Stayed for two nights. Shower pressure is really good. Beds are fairly comfy. Breakfast was good. Within walking distance of restaurants. Outdoor pool was also nice. The check-in staff was friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend.

Best place to stay in wall. They have a good breakfast with a good size breakfast dining space. The pool outside is spacious. The shower had good pressure. The Staff was helpful. I had an issue that I dropped something into the ice machine. The maintenance man was amazing and helpful.

Realizing options are limited in Wall, we booked the Best Western figuring it is a reliable chain. Yet everything just seems very outdated. The dark furniture, heavy drapes and bedskirts, and worn out blankets on the bed just make the room seem old and dirty. Very old, uncomfortable and stained couch also in the room. We stayed in a 2 bedroom family unit but the second room had no air circulation - no vent, no window - so it got very hot, stuffy, and uncomfortable. For a family unit, the bathroom and sink area were tiny. There were covid precautions in place at breakfast (just not many people abiding by them, but at least the effort was there by the motel). Overall, you can find a cheaper option in Wall, probably even one that is a little more updated. Don't be fooled by the Best Western name.

To be honest, I wasn't expecting much more than the very basics at this hotel, and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised! The room was spacious and clean, with ample bathroom counter space, fridge and microwave in the room all a plus. The pool area is what really made our stay, though, with a nice outdoor pool perfect for cooling off in the brutal July afternoon sun. It's also conveniently located, a strait shot to Badlands! Breakfast was nice and had many choices. I would stay here again!

We stayed here for a night after visiting the badlands. The location is a convent it distance to the park and we were able to get a quick nap in between a morning hike and an evening sunset. Breakfast area was clean and well stocked with pancakes and the usual items. Only negative was there were not any hooks or closets where we could hang items in the room. Not a disaster but annoying. Overall a good stay.

The hotel has modern ameneties but has retained it's rustic charm. Wall SD is a small town on the edge of the Badlands, so major hotels are not there. The Best Western was pleasant and has been well maintained for an older property. It has been updated but maintains it's rustic, rural charm.

Not the best place overall but probably the best for Wall, SD. We had 2 rooms with beds in each and the smaller section in each room only had a small window AC in it. That couldn't do the job on a 90 deg July day. Wall needs a better chain to come in there.

Excellent for families. We rarely stay in a hotel with exterior doors, but this is a definite exception. Nothing but families with kids. 2 pools ready for any season. Wall is a safe and wholesome stop. Property is well maintained. A little dated but would absolutely stay here again.

The rooms were clean and looked like a lodge. The pool was clean and refreshing for the hot summer days! (They have an indoor and outdoor pool and a hot tub). The staff was friendly and kind. The beds were comfortable and rooms are accessible! The breakfast however was not the best. Frozen breakfast pizzas and burritos were sitting out in a container that has no ice, and not big variety. They do have a grab and go bag.

The staff are very friendly and helpful. They had a nice pool area. Housekeeping made the room amazing. The breakfast wasn't the best but they do also offer grab and go breakfasts. The wifi was fast and they offer 2 pools and a hot tub. We will stay here again.

I had the fastest check-in experience that I have ever had at a hotel here. I think I had a key in hand within a minute. The hotel rooms were as pictured. The kids enjoyed the pool and hot tub. A variety of items for breakfast, nothing fancy but did the trick. The staff person keeping the breakfast area stocked was very friendly. My only complaint about this hotel would be the picnic table near our door. All the smokers congregated there. The sound of the A/C unit drowned out the noise, but we had to deal with the smoke every time we entered/exited our room.

Nice facility located an about 20 minutes outside of Badlands National Park. Our room was clean. The pool is near the parking lot but still a good place to chill. You can walk to Wall Drugs. Two options for breakfast - grab and go or buffet. Nice selection. Front desk person was very nice.

Always enjoyed our stays at Best Western. This particular Best Western is extremely high in price and the quality of breakfast was horrible compared to others. I understand because of COVID this past year in a half may have some impact on their breakfast, but why did others have a large assortment to choose from. Other than that, our stay was satisfactory.

Room was a nice size and had been updated. Clean. Parking was a bit tight, but it was a holiday weekend. Breakfast better than expected, plenty to choose from. Breakfast room guy was very pleasant and helpful. Front desk personnel were very pleasant.

I would recommend the Best Western Great Plains if you are visiting the Badlands or staying in Wall. This location is great as it's right near the entrance/exit at the Badlands and provides a great place to stay. The check in process is really easy and then there is an express check out. The front desk staff was very helpful and guided me to a great restaurant 2 blocks away that had great local food. I was impressed with the room size, internet speed, etc. There is a bigger fridge, microwave, and then the other amenities you would expect from a Best Western. Please note that if you have trouble with stairs and luggage you may want to request a room on the first floor as there is no elevator.

I messed up on the reservation, they would not cancel my reservation. The manager was standing up front and said nothing. I wish i would have paid the $200 and left. Instead the gal found a luxury room connected to the front office. The gal told me to close the registers if we were cold. I did before we went to sleep and woke up to my kid crying because it was freezing cold. The 56 degree outside felt warmer. It wrecked our vacation. The pool was freezing cold.

We had a nice stay. There are 5 of us, so they found a room with a pull out. It worked great for us. The beds were comfortable, the room was clean. Hot tub and pool open until 10pm. Breakfast was good and the gentleman monitoring the breakfast bar was very personable.

The Plains Motel was selected because of its proximity to the Badlands Park, about fifteen minutes from BW. The room was comfortable and clean. The breakfast was adequate, a grab and go menu. The attendant, David, was friendly and helpful. He even held the door open upon our exit, a gesture we have not experienced at any other BW's

Dedicated Pet Courtyard area with waste bag/waste disposal stand. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Internet was stable. Close to Wall Drug, easy access to Badlands National Park. I would definitely stay there, again.

One night stay over after visiting Badlands Nat'l Park. Super convenient to park entrance. Outside doesn't look like much, but the rooms were clean and comfortable. Hotel was pretty empty, so the stay was a quiet one. Staff was super friendly. Pool and hot tub were open, tho we didn't use either. Breakfast was included and was adequate, with a couple "heatable" items. Overall a nice stay. This will be your best option when staying in Wall.

This was a good choice for the night. The motel was clean. It was busy but we really did not mingle with anyone. You check in at the office and then find your room. Breakfast bags were provided in the club house (which is not really being used given COVID). Location is perfect for 1 night for what we needed. Choices are quite limited in Wall.

Been a few years since we stayed in a Best Western Property, but this trip was west into small towns with few options. We were pleasantly surprised here; the room was pleasant, clean, covid compliant, the staff were great, parking convenient, all the basics were right and the grab and go breakfast was better than nothing.

We took a quick weekend at Mt. Rushmore and Badlands National Park. We used TripAdvisor reviews to find somewhere to stay close to Badlands NP. Most of the places around Wall, SD did not have very good reviews except the Plains Best Western so we took a chance on it. We really did not want to have to stay in Rapid City as it is an hour west of Badlands and we were traveling East. The staff was very pleasant and the hotel was very clean (very important these days). It looked like they normally have a nice breakfast but because of COVID-19 they could only offer a bagged breakfast which was nice. They had an indoor and outdoor pool. The hotel is very close to the interstate. We spent two nights while visiting Badlands NP. If you are going to be going the the National Park, this is by far the best choice to stay. The only negative was you can hear the walking of the people staying in the room above you. We had some kids above us but we got use to it. Also be aware that the food options, especially dinner, are limited in Wall which only has a couple hundred people. The few options, like Wall Drug, closed around 6:00 pm.

This hotel is one of a kind. I was greeted with a big smile from Juanita at the front desk. I had been on the road for over 500 miles and she was so kind and generous. The hotel is so clean and so friendly to animal owners. I even left my winter jacket in the hotel dresser and they gladly didn't even question that they would ship the jacket back to Indiana for me. Ellen at the check in counter is terrific too! I am definitely staying at this property next time I visit The Badlands!

Perhaps the best motel in Wall - that isn't saying a lot but it was a decent enough place. Two floors with exterior doors and no elevator that we saw. You can walk into town from here to the limited selection of restaurants and Wall Drug. The rooms are pretty basic though they do have a microwave and a good size "dorm" refrigerator with a separate freezer compartment which is handy. I'm no giant but the bathroom has the lowest sink and toilet I have seen since grade school - from what era is this equipment? Given Covid the breakfast is now a grab and go bag of items (pre-packaged pastry, a piece of fruit, etc.) which was OK but I am guessing not as good as what they normally would have. They do have an outdoor pool that we did not use but we did eat take-out food for dinner poolside. Better than eating in our room. Overall an OK location if you want to be near Badlands National Park.

While I cannot attest to what the rooms or stay look like I can comment on the customer service. Yesterday I fell 100 feet down a cliff at Badlands and needed to be airlifted out by the National Guard. Obviously I could not stay there since I didn't even get to the hospital until 10:30PM with a concussion and broken foot. The hotel advised me to contact Orbitz regarding me reservation. I contacted Orbitz and they contacted the hotel. The manager on duty Debbie, stuck with the non-refundable reservation spiel and refused to let orbitz speak with the general manager. While I understand non-refundable, I'm lucky to be alive. I hope you guys all think twice about the customer service here. I will be calling corporate tomorrow.

We walked in on a whim to stay here and what luck (!) they had a room. The lady at the front desk was very friendly and cordial. The room was very clean and updated. Comfy beds! Fridge was already cold. Couldn't have been any better! Pool and hot tub were great, too!

We had a great stay here. There are not a lot of choices in Wall but glad I took trip advisors recommendation and choose the Best Western. It was by far the best option in the area. The indoor, outdoor pool was great to have the option as it got cold in the evening. Hot tub was amazing! Staff was very accommodation and very on top of cleanliness. Appreciated not being bartered over mask wearing. Breakfast was brown bag but worked well and was easy. Wouldn't stay anywhere else in wall.

My husband and I recently stayed here on the drive home from Yellowstone for 2 nights. We loved the ease of checkin. The staff was efficient and friendly. The room was clean and large for the a very reasonable price. Beds are comfy and you can tell the staff is doing an excellent job of keeping the rooms Covid sanitized. We are happy they do not come in at all during our stay. The proximity to Badlands National Park is about a 10 min drive. We could drive over to Badlands just to watch sunset after dinner. Would definitely recommend staying here.

We stopped here to see the Badlands. Our room was very functional. Missed having a table to sit at but there was a nice comfortable chair. For breakfast, they were providing bagged breakfasts. This was a nice change as we had served buffet the prior two mornings. The breakfast came with water, a muffin, a granola bar and an apple. What we didn't eat was easily packed away. The best thing about this hotel is the location. Very close to the Badlands and to Wall Drug.

Stayed one night while visiting The Badlands. Reserved one of the king rooms. Very large, quiet, and clean. Free breakfast included. Located on the main drag, just off the interstate. Wall Drug was just a few blocks away. Would definitely stay here again.

Older motel style, but fairly nice. It provided all we needed which was a fairly quiet place to sleep, clean sheets and a hot shower. The shower was hot, cold, hot, cold, and kept you jumping. The motorcycles start revving about 7:30am so you better be ready to get up! It seemed pretty quiet between 10:30pm and 7:00am. The location is 8 miles to Badlands National Park.

We stayed here because we were visiting Badlands National Park. First of all, there are not alot of hotel options in the area, so don't expect to find luxury anywhere. This hotel was a decent option. Nothing fancy, but the room was comfortable. It was a little noisy; you could hear people outside as well as the tv next door. It is also on the edge of town, so very close to the interstate and the road going to the national park.

This hotel is right down the street from Wall Drug and 8 miles from the Badlands Park entrance.Its a great location.Staff is friendly.Rooms are comfortable and clean . Microwave, refrigerator, television, coffee maker pretty much everything you find at hotels.Bathroom was clean with plenty of towels.We recommend.

The staff does NOT wear masks and they do not require guests to. Other guests reported this weeks ago, but nothing has changed. No masks in town either. Freezing cold rooms, no comforter or warm blanket with below freezing temps, no Best Western quality or standards, old, uncomfortable beds and linens, dated property, rude, disinterested desk clerk. No heat in bathroom, just a noisy Wall heater that blows cool air near bed. Called front desk to complain about no heat or blanket in middle of night and to report that wifi and cable were also out, but received hostile, unprofessional response because clerk was angry she was woken up by my call. Emailed Best Western corporate at 1am for assistance because we're in the middle of no where and paid $130 on a Tuesday night for garbage. We drove thousands of miles to visit Badlands and Mount Rushmore. We are desperate for a good night sleep. Up all night shivering with aching backs from old bed. This hotel is the anti-Best Western.

Very clean comfortable room, nice hot shower, and quiet after lights out. 8 miles from the Badlands park entrance. The breakfast was a grab and go bag, nothing to write home about, but hot coffee was good. I nice spot for sleep after a long day at the park and a good value

Hotel is very old for $130.00 per night. I was travelling an needed a place to stay. AS a Best Western Platinum member I expected better. The Lobby was close when I departed and I was unable to get a receipt.

Prepaid for two rooms, two nights but left after the first night. The rooms are old and outdated. Both rooms had a terrible odor. Smelled like they had been smoked in in years past. The ac could not keep up with the humidity in the room. My friends room had flies and the smell was worse in her room than mine, bathrooms and showers need to be updated as they appear dirty but not because of housekeepers. Sheets and towels were so old i was afraid theyd tear. Very very thin! We left after the first night and now im fighting to bet our money back. They apparently have a prepay discount but you cant get refunded if you leave. DO NOT STAY here! Go to rapid city and stay further from the national parks!

Convenient location off I90 and close to the grocery store in town. Wall Drug not too far away. Good WiFi. I support the use of bag breakfast due to COVID, but more could be in the bag. Granola bar and Honey Bun (plus apple and water) falls short of expectations. Would be nice to have a breakfast sandwich or something savory.

Overnight stop on our way to Black Hills. This hotel was beautiful, the price was very low compared to the high quality of the rooms. Everything was clean and tidy, the employees were very polite, the room was incredible.

This was a nice spot for a clean and quiet stay. The doors and walls are heavy duty so you can get a good night's sleep. Everyone in the office was kind and efficient. They offer a to go breakfast and there is coffee in the room. I would recommend this hotel.

I have stayed at this hotel in the past. Every time I stay here I have such a pleasant experience. The rooms are clean with nice decor. The bed is comfortable and most important the place is quiet. Great breakfast to go in the morning.

Not many choices for hotels in this area, but the Best Western is a good place to stay. They have both an indoor and outdoor pool and both received approval from my teens. It's an older hotel with doors on the exterior of the building rather than interior hallways, but we weren't bothered by noise. The workers were friendly. Also, this is the only hotel I've stayed at where they had little spray bottles of bug remover available for your car. A great touch since we managed to pick up a wide variety of insects on our car while making our way through South Dakota., My only complaint would be the travelers at breakfast. People, you don't need to open the sealed brown breakfast bags to see what is inside when it is written on the wall right next to you!!

We had to stay on the 2nd floor because there is no elevator. The motel is an older one they remodeled. The beds were ok. The air worked fine but it took a while to cool off the room. The internet is not very good. The bath area is small, the sink is very low (I am 5'1 and it was short for me). The commode was very small. We rested good but there was some noise outside. The channel on the TV kept going on and off. There was no hot breakfast just a bag they give you. We stayed in a motel the night before and they had a nice hot breakfast and the room was cheaper and almost nice plus it had an elevator. I would not stay here again. Our room was over $170.00 for two people. The ice machine was downstairs.

No complaints at all, this was a nicely maintained and well-run inn, definitely a cut above the other lodgings in Wall SD. Even though it's an older property, management has clearly invested in its upkeep. I noticed the windows were new, everything was neatly painted, the caulking was clean and perfect, and the rooms were remarkably soundproof. We were on the 2nd floor and I didn't hear a single noise from any of our neighbors or from the cars in the parking lot. They also have quite a well-organized army of cleaners in the morning going through all the rooms guests had checked out of but I appreciated they they didn't knock on our door first thing in the morning. Huge plus too that they're dog friendly! The dog walking area in the back was a nice spot and also looks like it was recently redone.

The Best Western exceeded my expectations on all fronts for a motel. The rooms were very clean and nice. The distance to the Badlands from this Motel is very manageable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Would stay here again!

The facilities were good, our room was clean, the rate seemed high for the area, the Manager - Juanita was not polite and slightly rude (to us). None of the staff we encountered during our stay wore face mask. Perhaps it is not required in South Dakota.

Not a bad night's stay. The beds weren't the most comfortable, and the room seemed a little crowded with furniture, but it was clean. The workers wore masks and offered contactless checkout, which consisted of you leaving the keys in the room and opening the blinds to signify that you were leaving; my husband and I appreciated this. The cleaning staff were very good about communicating on vacated rooms and were prompt at getting in. There was both an indoor and outdoor pool, along with a hot tub. Clean towels were provided, but I don't think social distancing was being enforced, as the pools were pretty full at all times. There are no elevators here, so if you have issues with stairs or have a ton of luggage, make sure to request a first floor room. The grab and go breakfast was appreciated, but truthfully it was nothing but sugar! Chocolate chip granola bar, packaged HoneyBun, and a bottle of water. I was glad I brought a protein shake! Short walk/drive to Wall Drug and about 7 minutes to the Badlands National Park. Would stay again

Check-in was easy, staff friendly, room clean and comfortable. Had a handicapped-accessible room with a shower seat, which was great for my BFF who has trouble getting around. Nice to have choice for indoor or outdoor pools. Near the interstate, but far enough away that traffic noise is minimal. Would stay here again.

We stayed here two nights while visiitng the Badlands National Park. The staff were helpful and informative about the area. Rooms were clean and quite. The only drawback in staying anywhere in Wall, SD is the lack of dining. We had packed our food just in case and ate in our room.

Wall is a small town with a handful of places to stay.....make reservations early in the day as I imagine it sells out frequently because of location. We had a street level room vs. Stairs to the 2nd level. Rooms were clean and quiet. There is a pool.

3rd stop on our trip west during covid 19 when we didn't fly. Easy access from interstate. Staff wore mask and gloves. Nice hotel room. Short walk to wall drug which was unfortunately closed during covid. Room very nice. Grab and go bad provided for breakfast. Would stay here again.

The virus decimated industry has led to a 10% discount, but for this location a little pricey. The rooms are definitely clean and newly refinished. Convenient to the highway and friendly staff. Didn't use the pool, but that facility seems quite nice.

Clean with a good breakfast and a lovely pool with hot tub. It had a quaint patio off of the pool which was a nice place to gather while others enjoyed swimming. We were thankful for a nice place to stay after traveling all day.

This is the best option in Wall, SD. Our room was clean and comfortable. The air conditioning was old and a bit loud. The pool was great, but the hot tub needed a good cleaning. The breakfast was slightly above average, by hotel chain standards. Good value. Very close to the Badlands. I would stay again.

As we'd planned to go into the Badlands, this was a very convenient, very clean and friendly hotel. It is an older but updated hotel that includes a frig/freezer and microwave. The decor in our room was basically brown and I'd encourage them to brighten that up. We were comfortable and slept well. Breakfast was ok but would have liked more than one fresh fruit choice.

We found the room to be clean but old and very tired. A handwritten note on the bed and a decorative towel, welcomed us to our room. Apparently, the owners have owned this location for a period of time. However, they are not up to date on decor. Paint, new bedspreads and curtains would help. Breakfast was nice and hot. Too much money is required for this room. More reasonable and improved rooms are down the highway.

Enjoyed this little hotel in Wall. The hotel has exterior corridors so be aware of that. The check-in ladies were super nice and gave our dog a little welcome treat! The rooms are a little dated but pretty clean. The armoire's doors didnt securely close so whenever you walked past it the doors rattled. Other than that, everything was great! Breakfast was filling and always clean and replenished.

The Best Western Plains Motel is a family owned location with pride of ownership evident from check in to check out. It is an older location, but is in like new condition. Our room was spacious and comfortable. Every staff member I encountered was friendly, professional and helpful. The breakfast area was bright and clean with an exceptional offering.

I would not recommend this hotel. It was old, rundown, dirty and the beds were like a slab of rock. We were supposed to stay for two nights and left after one. Would recommend travelling to Rapid City and staying at one of the many properties there. We found a MUCH better property (Staybridge) for LESS money!

Nice friendly staff and good breakfast. Only down side was lumpy pillows and no elevator to second floor, it was not a problem for us, but something to consider. This hotel has great access to the Badlands and Custer State Park.

Check in /out was easy and accurate. The rooms were clean. The room was very quiet. The bed was comfy and pillows soft. The staff was helpful and friendly and the suggestion I was given for dinner was helpful. The breakfast was quite good.

We stay every year and every year it is better! We took our dog which costs $20.00 a day but this was the best year we have had. Thank you!! Jose` was great getting towels for us each day, that is all we ask for and the service was ALWAYS WITH A SMILE!!

Stayed at Best Western Wall SD 3 nights while visiting Minuteman Missile NM and Badlands NP. Wall is not big and so motel is not super fancy, but it was comfortable, priced right, and super clean (met owner on premises checking on rooms) and the folks were very friendly and competent. Access rooms from parking lot and no elevator, so if need one, probably should ask for ground floor room. Forgot bathing suit (thinking now should always pack) so didn't get to use pool or hot tub (would have been nice after hiking all day) but all that & exercise room looked well taken care of. Ate 1 breakfast there and was good (typical hotel breakfast). In Wall everything is in walking distance, so close to downtown and good, home cooking style restaurants (esp. Red Rock, down the street). Had such a good trip (from Georgia) and Wall and Wall BW a big part of the experience.

The fan on heater did not function properly. Refrigerator was set on medium but still froze all the food overnight. The fitness room does not have the equipment as pictured. When asked how my stay was I explained the issues and at least received an "I'm sorry"...probably the best place in town but that's not saying much.

This hotel is ok. It is better then most I stay at. It is a bit of a walk to Wall Drug or the 2 restuarnts from the hotel. The nearby restaurants are expensive. The breakfast is about the same as all hotels. Heat and serve eggs that come in a plastic bag along with fake meat heat and serve sausages. They have a pancake machine and wafle irons + cold cereal. The rooms are really clean and comfortable. Hotel is bit older but well maintained. They leave a letter saying the place has been family owned and operated for 4 generations. I seriously doubt any of the family actualy work there or have in a lot of years. The hotel is a bit pricy but not many options in Wall, SD

Felt like hotel hasn't changed since the 1950's. Room was small, smelly and not well maintained. HVAC was very loud. Some staff members were grumpy. Small bathroom with very weak water pressure in shower. Breakfast was OK. Would not stay here again and would probably stay in Rapid City if we were to return

Motel was clean and staff was very pleasant and accommodating. Room was normal size , nice decor and a tv. Bathroom was clean with nice fresh towels. Breakfast was the normal eggs, sausage, French toast sticks, cereal, oatmeal, toast , bagel and some donuts/muffin and juice. Would stay again

This is a beautiful pristine family-run Hotel. It's been operated by four generations of this family since 1970. The rooms are beautifully updated and pristinely maintained. The family is present on the property on a daily basis which explains why this is so well-managed. The pool and jacuzzi are fantastic and the breakfast was very very good. And to make everything better they had Tim Cox prints on the wall in the room!

We arrived early, had no trouble checking in. Our room was clean and the beds were very comfortable. It is close to the street so you hear the traffic, and people talking outside. It is in a great location and close to intestate.

Stopped in on one of my many trips through SD. As usual I looked in TA for prices and reviews. Reviews were fine and price was 83$. I was in late (11) and out at 6. Called for my bill and when I got it I was charged 145$. Emailed back and never got a response or credit. Fool me once.... never again. Too Smelled too.

After a long ride from Aberdeen to Wall SD we arrived to find friendly accommodating staff and a super clean and comfortable room. This motel is a short walk to the area attractions and restaurants too! We were surprised that a complimentary towel was placed on our motorcycle seat in the morning to wipe up the morning dew.

This is an older hotel but it is easy to find, close to the interstate and close to several restuarants. The only problem I had was early morning coffee. I do not like the in room coffee so I usually go to either the lobby or breakfast area for coffee. But both were closed so I walked to the Exxon station and found some very wonderful coffee. The rooms are clean, air conditioning works great, had plenty of towels and even though it was located on the main drag in Wall, the room was very quiet.

This is a good choice for the area. My room was clean, and the bed was comfortable. Really good location with easy access to town and the entrance to Badlands. The breakfast was just OK, and the eating area is small. I left my plate and juice to get up for a bowl of cereal. I came back and a woman had trashed my stuff and took my table. Not the hotel's fault, but still....

This place was a real surprise to us. It was so clean and well managed. They have fresh popped popcorn in the lobby, along with hot coffee. The included breakfast was good, with a lot of choices. The rooms were well maintained. Pleasant experience.

Quick summary: clean, comfortable room. Friendly, professional service. Good location for visiting Badlands. We stayed for four nights in room 240, which is a family room with two separate bedrooms. This was a courtesy as our room type request was lost in the system. One room has a king bed; the other two queens. The bathroom area connects the two without a door, maybe good for a family, but not for groups that might want a little privacy. Beds are comfortable. Each bed has four poly fill pillows -- some find them comfortable enough, but this is why my husband travels with his own down pillows. The usual good stuff you expect at Best Western: coffee maker (no tea), fridge, microwave, iron and board. No in-room safe. Large three drawer chest and armoire in the room with the king bed. Table and chairs. Flat screen TV has lots of good cable channels. Good number of plugs for charging you device. Complimentary wifi mostly works well, but had some dropped connections (might be a Wall issue, not a hotel issue,) Sink area has a large vanity to spread out with your things. Separate tiled tub/shower and toilet area. Shampoo supplied, but no conditioner, bath gel, or lotion. Excellent housekeeping. Breakfast was pretty good with scrambled eggs and sausage, yogurt, pastries and breads, juices, cereals, make-yourself pancakes. No fresh fruit to speak of. Indoor and outdoor swimming pools. Easy access to visiting Badlands national park, and the interstate. This was a nice stay, but due diligence: * not a fault of the hotel, but Wall's water has an off taste. Not awful (as in some visits in Ohio) but I recommend that you plan on buying bottled water to put in your fridge for something better to drink than the tap water. Don't even think of ordering iced tea at a local restaurant. * this particular room sits over the hotel 's hot water heater, which made it difficult to get a cold drink of water, even after running a long time. Other rooms should be better. *. There aren't enough tables in the breakfast area when the hotel is fairly full. I saw some bringing it back to their rooms. There are additional tables in the pool area and outside door, but who wants to smell chlorine or sit in a parking lot at breakfast? So -- it was a good stay, but not quite five dots.

The rooms were extremely clean and well kept, the pool was sparkling clean and refreshing, the beds were comfortable, the showers (and very big bathtubs!) were hot and powerful, and the breakfast was fantastic. We loved the availability of family rooms. This hotel is a gem in Wall.

Cost was a little higher then others around. But, was worth it. I am always petty about bathroom cleanliness when I stay in hotels. This one passed with flying colors. Room was good. Heard no road noise. Beds were great. Sleep all night which is normally not possible for me. Breakfast was good also.

Such a warm welcome! Everywhere you went all the staff went out of their way to greet you! Great breakfast and good advice where to eat and location of the local Roman Catholic Church. Would definitely stay here again.

Great location. A bit overpriced for the age of the motel but expected due to lack of options in proximity to the Badlands. Room was extremely clean and quiet. Breakfast looked nice minus the eggs. We opted to eat elsewhere for a bigger breakfast. Cleaning staff was awesome - We had forgotten our personal pillows in our room after check out and within five minutes received a phone call letting us know they were at the front desk. Who does that? Very much appreciated. Would stay here again.

On the verge of needing a facelift on rooms but met necessary requirements. Breakfast selections were good and staff was polite. Beds were an issue. Ours were saggy and we kept rolling to one side. Rooms need a facelift, looking a little used.

Location is great! Hotel had a musty, moldy smell. Found empty vodka bottle under the bed. Staff was somewhat friendly about it. Rooms are old and outdated. Too pricey for what you get. Breakfast was ok - typical hotel breakfast.

Easily accessible off of I90 (right outside of the Badlands Loop), this motel provided a quiet and comfortable night. The room was clean and "white noise" was provided by the fan. Breakfast was good with a wide variety of items.

Considering that Wall is really in the middle of nothing this hotel is really good. Very good facilities indoor and outdoor swimmingpool, fitness center. Very good breakfast perhaps with no so many tables in the rush hours.

We enjoyed our stay here. The room is very big with a nice bed. The bathroom is small but is OK. The room was clean, which is a plus! The breakfast was good; several things to choose from. We would stay here again.

The noise level is disturbing. We heard the 5 people in the room next door, taking showers, flushing toilets, running hair dryers, watching television and talking. We heard every conversation. That family really did enjoy the Badlands and the Door hike. We tried to go to bed at 10:30, but they talked until after midnight. It sounded as if they were in our room. It was impossible to sleep. Also, the room is old and outdated. The shower valves were so old that they had a "hot" and "cold" spigot that you had to mix - rather than a single control. The bed had a single blanket (instead of a comforter) . It also seems very expensive. So many similar type hotels in the town are only $80.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay here. We came to visit Badlands National Park and had a very comfortable room. A/C worked great, beds were comfortable, the mini fridge is a larger size, like 4 cubic feet, which was great to have. Breakfast included more variety than other hotels and tasted good. The staff was friendly and very helpful. Our mini fridge and microwave broke down about 5 minutes after we started using it. A maintenance staff member was walking into the motel office at the same time I was reporting ours and he switched out our broken unit for a working one in 10-15 minutes. Great customer service. We would stay here again if we come back to Wall.

Sure, the staff is friendly but the place itself is dumpy. The rooms are tiny, the fixtures are ancient and the walls are paper thin. As I write this review, I can hear every word of the conversation in the room next door and no one is yelling.

Our room was a fine accomadtion. The a/c was very quite and worked very well. The beds were comfortable and the room was very clean. We are previous Hilton Honor members and have converted to Best Western Rewards members. The customer service keeps us. The breakfast is something we always look forward to as something to start our day on a positive note. It is more important than many esatblishments realize. Thank you Best Western for caring about our stay. This esatblishment is great. Allow me to say that is you ever travel to New York City, the Best Western at Herald Sqaure is the finest hotel we have ever stayed. In my 65 years on this planet, their customer service is the best I have ever experienced. They really care. This make the difference to my family.

This hotel was great! Breakfast was awesome. It was clean and the staff was very accommodating. We walked downtown and had dinner, the location is excellent. We plan on staying in this same hotel next year on our way through the area.

Every few years I visit this area on a motorcycle ride. Every time I've stayed here it's been a great experience. The staff is friendly, they are motorcycle friendly (paved parking and a bike wash station, etc) I like this motel!!

The hotel is conveniently located near the freeway. It's about a 10 minute drive to the Pinnacle entrance and 35 minutes to the Visitor Center of the Badlands National Park. Breakfast included pancakes, eggs, sausage and other grain based products. Our room was large and mostly clean. I think the bathroom with the tub area has a water issue. I had to cover the floor with towels because I think water accumulation caused the grout to not be clean. Also, the tub had a slow drain. For some reason, our second night had our upstairs neighbor walking in a short path for almost the entire night. The floor was quite loud, but we dealt with it. Check in was not with the most friendly person, but so be it. The pool area (indoor and outdoor pool) had good water temps and plenty of towels. For all the places we stayed on our one-week driving tour, the amount of money we paid for this place compared to our other stays was on the highest amount paid. Lastly, it is probably an issue with this area, don't be surprised with the amount of flies. They were everywhere.

We stayed here on our family road trip to/through South Dakota. The hotel rooms were clean and spacious. The kids loved the indoor and outdoor pool options. We loved it that it was walking distance to Wall Drug. Nice, clean, and friendly place to stay for a big family.

Room was nice, I think this is the nicest option available in Wall. Walking distance to Wall Drug which was nice. They did not do a good job stocking the continental breakfast and everything was mostly gone an hour before it closed.This hotel was not cheap so I expected better on the breakfast. I have been in other hotels in Wall and this is the best place I have stayed there.

We stayed at the Best Western in Wall en route to Yellowstone last week and also as a base to explore Badlands National Park in the evening. I was able to make a reservation here four days out, which I was thankful for. It's about ten seconds off the exit from I-90 and very easy to get to. Depending which entrance you go in, it's about 15 minutes to the entrance to Badlands NP. The woman checking us in was very friendly and we got situated in a room upstairs right away. Unfortunately, the toilet wouldn't flush. Wanting to get to the park, we let the front desk know and then left. The motel was booked, so we couldn't switch rooms. However, when we returned later that evening, the toilet had been fixed! Everything was clean and more than sufficient for our stay. The only negative was that the breakfast wasn't very appetizing. The eggs were extremely dry and crumbly. We ended up not eating it and stopping on the road for McDonald's instead. Otherwise, everything was great and we would definitely stay here again.

A family run hotel many of them indifferent to their guests. Wall is a vacation destination and a 7-9am breakfast is too short a window. Breakfast was sufficient except for the scrambled eggs which were too dry to eat.. Room was clean but musty smelling. Beds had plastic or vinyl mattress covers under the fitted sheet that was loud when moved on and hot..

Hubby and I stayed one night on way to keystone...we always stay at this best western as we think its the best option in Wall..as usual it was great.we only had 2 complaints.one was all the motorcycles in parking lot and riders taking over everything and the other was someone was playing loud music in their room until late in night..it was keeping us awake...but I know it isn't the motels fault...I love this motel.its always clean and workers are very pleasant and eager to help..oh plus they moved the one ice machine is across the parking lot and my ice started melting on the long walk back across parking lot..they need to put the one back closer to other side....other than that no complaints....I love it...

The room was clean, well-stocked, but could use some updating. The staff was friendly, helpful, and efficient. Breakfast was very tasty and there was a great variety of food to choose from. I would recommend this hotel for its value.

We stopped for one night on our way to the Badlands and Black Hills and were pleasantly surprised. Located in the heart of Wall, we could walk to local restaurants and the Wall Drug Store. The hotel was clean, quiet, and comfortable and the staff courteous and friendly.

Front desk was very short with us upon checkin. Did not honor Veterans discount. Argued with my husband about parking, and ice bucket. Made our stay not enjoyable. She followed me out the door and because we had 2 small dogs she said in a very loud voice, "We will need to add your dogs into the bill." I was embarrassed and felt like it was a terrible thing to have dogs. She also argued with my husband about the small trailer we had with us. She told us we had to park it on the street because it was too long. It was no longer than a pickup truck. Another customer told her it was short enough. Later when we got into the room, we had no ice bucket. My husband asked for an ice bucket and she was adamant that we had one. We did not. Luckily we had a small cooler we used. When we left the next morning, I got the bill and checked to make sure that we were not charged for the ice bucket. We had been travelling for 12 hours to get to Wall, SD, and this one employee ruined it for us. The other two Best Westerns we stayed at went out of their way to help us, and our little dogs. I will never stay at this hotel again. I don't like being treated this way.

Super clean. Beds are comfy but the pillows could have been better. Pull out couch was nice. Location to Badlands National Park was perfect. Breakfast was delicious and above average. Didn't use the indoor pool but the outdoor pool was enjoyable. Short walk to Wall Drug (if you must check it out). Would definitely recommend.

Stopped in for one night on our way to Black Hills - was a little worried as the hotel is a bit dated, but our room was very clean and everything was in working order! The staff that worked there were very hands on and friendly. The breakfast area was your standard hotel breakfast but what stood out to me was there were THREE employees in there cleaning and refilling the entire time. Super impressed! We didn't get a chance to use the pools which was too bad because they looked very clean!

As other reviewers have said it is a wonderful family run motel. It is located just blocks from restaurants and Wall Drug. The breakfast was VERY good with a lot of choices for the whole family. We didn't get a chance to swim, but the pool was crowded and looked nice. Perfect place to stay when seeing the Badlands!

The room, breakfast and pool were great. I was just disappointed about being on the second floor because of having to climb the steps. I made the ground level request a couple of months in advance - it was difficult getting bags and a cooler up the steps. Otherwise we had a great stay, and I really enjoyed the outdoor pool.

It did the trick, we arrived late and needed to leave early in the morning so it was a quick trip. It was clean enough, just dark and dated feeling. I'm not sure I would have enjoyed staying here for an extended period of time. Place to sleep.

This motel is family owned and I really like supporting those businesses. It is by no means a small motel. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and the staff was welcoming. There are lots of breakfast options and breakfast is served in the same building as the pool. The outdoor pool was well kept and lots of kids were making use of it. It is very close to “downtown Wall”, actually within walking if you choose to.

Booked hotel 4-5 months in advance. Family of 6 traveling. When booking they worked with us to get a price that was not way out of our budget...most places require two rooms, however they had a family suite that fit us perfect. Outdoor pool had a bunch of floaties. We did enjoy the indoor pool. Was very impressed! Beds were comfortable. Breakfast was filling. Highly recommend.

Local to everything in Wall, South Dakota and easy to access. From the time I entered the lobby and the greeting I received it was a pleasant experience. The room was updated tastefully and comfortable. The breakfast was heads above most with lots of choice and taste. Coffee was great.

Motel is family run. Everyone with whom we had contact went out of their way to make sure we were satisfied. Very clean. This is a relatively old motel, but furniture is updated, rooms are large, bedding is firm and comfortable. Only suggestions would be to remove bright white fluorescent lighting over sink (too harsh), add softer lighting (floor lamps?) within room to brighten things up,and remove glossy beige paint. Breakfast area seemed to be popular, but we did not eat there. Would definitely stay here again.

Got a good priced room for a very last minute decision to stop. Room is super clean and prepared for any visit. For a touristy area, this did well in presentation. Only negative thing is the walls are SUPER thin. I was woken up a few times from my neighbor coughing because I thought she was in the same room. Not a huge deal for me, but could be for others.

This is very sweet place to live in, nice surrounding, very close to famous Wall Drug store and good facilities beyond expectations. Receptionist was very warm and greeted us well, they have parking available in-front of every room. we booked room with 2 beds that was well equipped with basic amenities like TV, AC, coffee machine, basin etc and in clean state, clean bathroom (hair dryer too). Breakfast is really good which is served in the building opposite to reception house and they have pool area as well. It was more that what we expected for sure.

Great stay at Best Western Plains in Wall SD. Very clean and quiet property. Breakfast was hot, tasty, and good variety. I liked the location of the hotel to Wall Drug. Decor in lobby was really nice and clean.

My wife and I are moving from Montana to Massachusetts and we own a cat, this was a very affordable hotel that allowed pets. The property I felt was much cleaner than had expected for the price. It is in a small town so there isn't much around but had comfortable clean rooms with a great shower.

This is a wonderfully warm and welcoming staff and family that try very hard but the age of the property undermines the effort. The newesr building housed pool, workout and breakfast area and was more modern. The buildings housing the rooms need a complete remodel. They were sparkling clean but old and tired.

We needed a nice clean, place to stay for our trip to the Badlands, and picked Wall. Of the choices in Wall (not many), it seemed like the Best Western would be our best option considering that the local competition consisted of an EconoLodge, a Super 8 and a few local low-budget motels. The Best Western is a very old roadside motel. Doors open to the outside, the floor on our first floor room creaked, and bathroom space was exceptionally cramped. The bed was moderately comfortable, but it definitely had several years on the mattress. The wireless internet in our room kept dropping every 10 minutes and had to re-acquire a signal, so their wireless networking infrastructure is lacking. Breakfast was below average. If you want oatmeal, be prepared for a bland packet to heat up with hot water. The chairs in the breakfast room screech on the hard floor every time they are moved. The owners seem to take pride in the fact that this is a family-owned, family-run hotel. That's all great, and when your competition is an EconoLodge, a Super 8, and a few local run-down hotels, then I guess the Best Western is great. However, all it would take is one Hampton Inn, Holiday Inn Express, or Marriott property to compete here, and the Best Western becomes a third-rate motel. I can't use the term "budget motel" in regard to this property because our room with a king-sized bed ran $160 per night with taxes. That's simply too high for this class of a motel. Again, considering the nearby competition, I guess they can get away with this kind of pricing for now. They got me!

This place was very nice! The staff was very nice and helpful. The room was clean, comfortable and a good size. The bathroom is a little small, but manageable. It was right near things we wanted to see, like the Badlands. The town of Wall is fun.

Clean, well maintained property and rooms. Quiet location. REAL breakfast included. Nice breakfast room with real eggs, sausage, oatmeal, breads, all the beverages. I tried another less expensive motel in Wall but this is a great place to stop.

Really enjoyed our visit to Wall Fri before Easter. Loved the family suite with the 2 queen beds & full size in extra space. Room was clean the staff was really friendly. Our grandkids loved the pool !!! And the offerings for breakfast were great too,

Great family owned old school motel in Wall. Old school in the sense that all doors open to the parking lot, with parking spots directly in front of first floor doors. We were on the first floor so I don't know about an elevator. Rooms were spacious and well maintained. Sink separate from toilet and shower. Bed was comfortable and there was no outside noise as the motel is in a C shape just off the street, not the Main Street either. Breakfast is served in another building, the one in the middle of the parking lot that houses the workout room and the pool. Wrong time of year to test the pool and too lazy to use the equipment, but did note it was a well appointed room. Breakfast was good for motel breakfast, with lots of options including a pancake machine. Room might get full during tourist season, but probably some outside options in better weather. Love some of these old style motels, but not all. We loved this one.

This is exactly what an affordable motel should be like. The staff are friendly. The rooms are clean. The breakfast is decent. The clientele consists of elderly tourists, families with children, and outdoor adventure seekers.

This is a family-owned motel. The care and the pride that the family takes in its business is very obvious. They are warm and friendly which helped make our stay with them even more enjoyable. The property is just a short drive to Badlands National Park and is minutes from local restaurants and the famous Wall Drugs.

Touches of home while on the road. The owners spoil you with the decorations, Free Cable TV, Generous Breakfasts, and a Hot Choclate Bar (Seasonal Surely). Everything seemed clean and fresh. We loved our stay.

Weather conditions forced us off I-90 sooner than planned but the Best Western Plains Motel had rooms available. The front desk clerk was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable - very nice king size bed. The free breakfast had a good variety of options - a great way to resume the drive on a cold morning. Family run, well staffed and maintained. All the above for a very reasonable price!

Great location- right off the highway, but within walking distance to Wall Drug. Clean spacious rooms for a reasonable price. Enjoyed complimentary hot chocolate served in the lobby in the evening. Family run business.

This is a very nice hotel in Wall. The staff are helpful, friendly and strive to please their customers. I definitely like the personal touch of hot chocolate and marshmallows that I looked forward to when we returned for the evening.

This place had everything you could want -- two swimming pools -- one indoor and one outdoor. A wonderful free breakfast and a clean room (nice sized) with firm mattresses. The staff were very helpful and friendly. It's also within walking distance to Wall Drug and other local attractions. As an aside, the hotel has wonderful policy of encouraging their staff to bring their children to work in sort of an apprentice program. At breakfast each day we observed two charming young girls who were helping out. They were cleaning up, refilling supplies etc. Think this is a great idea -- very family friendly.

We once again traveled to this area and stayed at the same Hotel we have for the last few years. We love the friendly people here. This year was a little more crowded and the noise of the neighbors above and beside us was not what we have been used to but all in all it was a great time. We will stay here as long as the service is up to the same standards it has been for the past several years.

I spent 2 nights at the Best Western Plains Motel. The location is very convenient for visits to Badlands National Park which is just a few miles down the road. The room was clean and comfortable and the service friendly. The breakfast provides a number of options. My issues were the table in the room was too small to do much work. Also, I got locked out of my room due to a problem with the lock and had to wait half an hour in the cold before the issue was resolved.

Overall not many options in Wall. Happy with our stay here and would do it again, just not a fan of the town. Wall Drug is over priced, over rated, and feels like a terrible tourist trap. Several other restaurants told us they could not serve us because they didn't have the staff. The bright side was we ended up going back to the Badlands at sunset because it is so close, and that was awesome.

Staff was good. The room was older and in need of a overhaul. The breakfast room and the pool were in a seperate building than the rooms themselves so did not find this very convenient when it was cold outside. Not horrible but not my first choice for sure

Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Did not have any problems with anything in the room. Staff was very helpful on selecting places to dine which is always a plus. Breakfast selections were great as there was scrambled egg and sausage as well as the usual pancake and waffles. Couldn't asked for better. Liked the little park they have for your dogs and the clean up station. I don't think you can do better for the price especially if you are traveling with your dogs. A little drive to Wall Drug and other restaurants. There is a subway a short walk away and a Dairy Queen a little further down from subway. Definitely would stay again

Friendly staff, clean room, good internet service, breakfast, and close to some of South Dakota's best attractions. I would definitely stay here again. And I will recommend it to my friends and family.

After a hard day of driving, we checked into The Plains. The room was large and clean. The beds were extremely comfortable and the the covers perfect. Breakfast the next morning provided more then the usual "free breakfast" fare.

Excellent service. A very clean, good sized room with comfortable beds. There is a vanity with sink behind a half wall. The bathtub and toilet are is a rather small room. They have a strong vent fan in the bathroom to keep the moisture down. The breakfast was good and had a large assortment of items. If in the area again, I would definitely stay here.

I thought this was a perfectly adequate nice hotel. Breakfast had a lot of choices. I'm not saying it was an awesome breakfast but it was decent. very normal pretty modern hotel in a good convenient location.

My wife and I spent three nights here during our visit to the area. The hotel is a family operated older property that has been well maintained, is very clean, provides a full hot breakfast (eggs, sausage, French toast, pastries, fresh fruit, coffee/tea and juices to name some of the items) and is a 20 minute drive to the Badlands and the Minuteman Missile sites. The beds were very comfortable and the HVAC worked well. Coffee/tea and popcorn are available in the registration lobby and there was an indoor pool that we didn't have time to use. Had the opportunity to stay here for only one night unfortunately. This is by far the best stay I have had in years ! Rooms were large and everything was in perfect condition. Nice firm bed. The bar has been set high by the owners. Other hotels should have standards as high !

I guess I am shocked that not ALL hotels have torn out all the carpeting in hotel rooms and put in Pergo or tile. The carpeting was not the cleanest and the pillows need to be replaced. However, the room itself was clean and the breakfast was good.

This is a family owned business and it shows. The room was really comfortable and clean. The staff was helpful. It was quiet and centrally located. We had a king size bed without requesting it. The price was very reasonable.

No road noise. Room clean. Water plenty hot and plenty of water pressure. Strong wifi signal, fast enough for hi quality youtube videos. Breakfast 6 to 9, hot items included breakfast sausage and scrambled eggs. Seating a bit limited if there's the morning crush. Checkin checkout no hassle with the prepay option, rate very reasonable. Would stay again.

Considering this is an older style, i.e. doors open to the outside, it was very quiet. Rooms had obviously been updated to have adequate plugs ins for electronics. Front desk personnel were friendly, Only downside is the breakfast area is small for the size of the motel and was congested, few places to sit.

We had to wait around for check in since this is a busy place and our room was not ready. Ok. The room was big and clean. Lots of flies though. Breakfast was ok but again, busy place so lots of people at breakfast. It's pretty much like every other Best Western. I found it a little expensive for the quality of the room.

The room was very clean & updated. we had 4 adults & had plenty of room for our things. The breakfast was the best we ever had. There was tortillas, scrambled eggs, sausages, French toast & more. very friendly staff.

This room was one of the cleanest we stayed in on our multi-week road trip. The room was spacious and had nice furniture. The shower was good, as we're the linens. The air conditioner was old and very loud. Even earplugs didn't mask the sound for me. The coffee in the room and at breakfast was pretty bad. Breakfast was not to our liking. Check-in was pleasant despite the rush of people.

We had a king room with a bed on the firmer side, which was nice since we've had so many super soft beds on our trip. Other than having a bit of a strange odor, it was very clean and neat room with towels rolled in a heart shape on the bed surrounding a kind, welcoming note to enjoy our stay. The shower had awesome water pressure and a good shower head! The towels and linens were a bit thin, but still functional and soft. I enjoyed the complimentary breakfast, especially having tortillas to make a breakfast soft taco. One can appreciate the pride this family has in maintaining their property and I would definitely stay there again.

Wall is a very small town but this is a larger motel. Best breakfast we had out of the 6 motels we stayed at on our trip. Rooms are dated but very clean. Enough outlets for charging electronic devices but the outlets are not the most conveniently placed. Visited the pool area and was impressed. Be sure to reserve early as this motel fills quickly. We stayed in the family room - 2 beds with a another bed in separate room. Would have been nice if second room had it own TV. Looked like they were in the process of doing that as the wiring was there but no TV mounted yet. The room was small and tight but you don't notice that once you're asleep.

We stayed one night. The room was nice. DON'T STAY HERE WITH PETS. What ruined it for us is when we went out for breakfast we left the "do not disturb" sign on the door and left our dog in the room. A bit later I check on my phone and I have all these calls from the motel saying they found the dog in the parking lot. We went back I talked to the lady at the desk she said that the maintenance guy found the door open. I was like ok weird, but they do have those lever handles so maybe. Then I go to the room the bed is stripped, and I realize the opens in so even if the dog did jump up on the door it would also have to be pulled inwards. I love that dog, but she is not determined enough to figure something like that out, and has never stripped a bed. So obviously they ignored the "do not disturb" and then lied to us. If she had been hit by a car or something would they even have call me?? We are not staying there again.

My husband and I traveled to Wall, SD during our trip to the badlands. Upon approaching the hotel, it was obvious that the Best Western stood out from the surrounding hotels in the area. The hotel itself looked modern and upgraded. The staff were extremely friendly (Especially Esther) and helpful. The room was cozy, clean and had a fridge and microwave, with flat screen t.v. The breakfast in the morning was delicious and included meat, eggs, french toast, etc. They also had an upgraded fitness center, indoor and outdoor pool and hot tub. The only drawback was that the indoor pool was not heated (it was too cool) and the hot tub was too hot. But this was minor compared to the rest of our amazing stay! This hotel is 7 miles from the entrance of badlands park, about 30 minutes from rapid city expressway exit, and about 1 hour from Mt. Rushmore. I would definitely recommend!

Everyone really nice @ this hotel. And the breakfast was great, couldn't ate a resturant this well. They had everything that you could think of for breakfast. Check-in &out very freindly. Housekeeping did a good job too.

The beds are in poor condition because the mattresses must be at least a decade old. The beds feel lopsided. The fridge is not large enough for a family that brings their own food with them. If you are on a ground floor room, you can hear ever footstep your neighbor above you makes. The positive things are that the room is large for a family of 5 or 6. The pools are nice. I would have rated the hotel 21/2 stars but it doesn't have that option.

This is an older facility which has been remodeled. It still has the basic look of an older motel where all the rooms have outside entrances. The room was spacious and comfortable. The free popcorn is a nice extra. The breakfast was much better than most similar motels. It was extremely clean. There is no elevator so be ready if you are on the second floor. It has an outside and inside pool and good fitness facility. My only complaint is with the pillows which are too small. I think all Best Westerns use the same pillow.

Room was clean and pleasant. Property has a nice indoor-outdoor pool. Breakfast is great, with large selection of hot and cold items. The staff, in making reservations over phone (website indicated no rooms) and at check-in/check-out, was very helpful and pleasant. Recommend calling hotel directly if website indicates no availability; it apparently locks out at a certain point to prevent against overbooking.

Called about 5 hours before our arrival and the staff accommodated us nicely. We got a room with a king bed. The room was large, bed somewhat comfy, shower was very good. Parking spaces are small if you have a large vehicle and don't want dings in your vehicle. The complimentary breakfast was one of the best we had at such a hotel. All in all a good stay.

The location of this motel was good for a visit to The Badlands National Park. The room was clean. Very small bathroom. We had quite a few flies in our room. Breakfast was just ok. No one budding tables so we had to sit at a dirty one. A bit overpriced.

Nice hotel. Convenient to Wall Drug and Badlands NP. Well-furnished, although so much furniture that a table had to be over the AC. Adequate bed. BUYER BEWARE: There is no elevator. That information could not be found on their website.

The room was generously sized and furnished. Everything was sparkling clean; the care of local ownership shows. Breakfast was nothing outstandingly special, but quite adequate. The coffee was excellent! We would certainly stay here again if we returned to Wall.

It is not fancy and is not new. It is however very clean and well maintained. The staff was all super friendly and very responsive to any request. Breakfast was good and included. downtown is within easy walking distance.

The hotel appeared clean and nice with nice front desk personnel, however when we entered the room it smelled of mildew and mold. Glad I was staying only one night, as I was afraid I would end up sick as a result of that odor.

Stayed here on our trip thru The Badlands. While checking on vacancies, I was told that there was only one room left available for the night. Fearing that we would have no place to stay, I decided to go ahead and book the room. I was informed that because it was same day, we could not cancel and I did agree to that,after all it was a Best Western Hotel. Upon arrival, the desk clerks were very nice and we proceeded to our room. After opening the door, we were greeted with a very bad, musty,over powering odor. The room was outdated, but appeared clean. The very worst part was the flies in the room. I don't know if housekeeping leaves the door open when cleaning, but my husband killed a total of 23 flies. We would have left, but had already paid $ 175.00 for this room and it was the last one left and non-refundable. We had no choice but to stay the night. We stayed out of the room as long as possible and got up early to depart. We did check the breakfast area before we left and it was clean. I will say the breakfast was good. I would never stay at this hotel again, and in hind sight we should have booked a room in Rapid city.

We stayed her on our trip to Mt Rushmore/ Badlands. The beds were pretty comfortable. The pull out couch was not. It wasn't even comfortable to sit on. It was pretty clean and the people were friendly. The breakfast had a few extras that other hotels didn't which made a difference. And even though it was convenient to the Badlands and Wall Drug, it wasn't a good value for the price. While I would definitely stay here again, I would consider elsewhere because of the price.

We stayed here for one night during a cross country road trip and it was great! The bed was one of the most comfortable we had on the entire trip and the room was very nice. Breakfast was good with a ton of options. We didn't use the pool but it looked very nice and clean as well! The location was great to go check out Wall Drug and also was really close to the Badlands National Park. I'd definitely stay here again and recommend it to friends and family!

This hotel was located a few blocks off the interstate and yet it was just a few blocks to the attraction of Wall Drug. The room needs updating. It's probably been a decade or more. It was an ok room but I found it really expensive. The breakfast buffet was very good and the staff was on top of things

The room was clean. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. Great location for Badlands and Wall Drug. Breakfast was better than average. However....This is a very tired property. It would be greatly enhanced with new linens, towels, carpet, and furniture. I would not stay here again given a choice of a different property.

Need a room near Badlands? You definitely need to stop at the Best Western, a nice clean hotel with two pools, excellent breakfast and in walking distance to the center. I absolutely recommend this place!!!

First time in the area... pleasant surprise. Clean room with comfortable beds. We only stayed for one night. Good breakfast selection with availability to make your own waffles. We would definitely stay here again when in the area.

Good place from which to see the Badlands. Typical motel. Standard room and bathroom. Very noisy air conditioning with no way to cut the noise except to switch off. Nice enough pool. Buffet breakfast. Quite pricey.

Stayed 1 night while travelling south Dakota area. Has everything you need - decent room, good breakfast, lots of parking, and a rare outdoor pool. Only about 8 min to Wall Drugs Store and downtown. Would recommend and stay here again if in the area.

The front staff were real nice. The room we had was clean but small on the 2nd floor landing by the stairwell. No refegerator if you can imagine that. The breakfast was very good. Did not have to go to the pool area to eat.

Been here a couple times, spent the fourth here this year for the Interior rodeo. The best parts of this hotel are the pool (s)! and the great.breakfast. As far as appearance and update, this isn't a value for the 180.00 + we paid. No doubt this hotel is clean, and the people were nice and cared for us and our room. This one typically would fall in the 79.00 price range. But in Wall, this stands out as the best of the pickings.

This is a pretty good choice for lodgings if you're visiting Badlands National Park. The Pinnacles entrance is just 8 miles away. The rooms are pretty standard for an older motel. Everything was clean and the A/C was super effective at cooling the room down. The refrigerator in my room turned out to actually be a freezer, as it froze the bottles of water I put in there. Not necessarily a bad thing since it was hot outside. The included breakfast includes the normal donuts, pastries, cereal, and yogurt. They also throw in eggs, sausage, and french toast. All standard hotel breakfast quality. The one hiccup was I tried to check-in at 12 PM and was told that check-in was at 1 PM. The clerk didn't really even check to see if a room was available. Apparently it's a hard and fast rule.

We stayed here after a day of hiking in the Badlands, and on our way to Yellowstone. The staff was very friendly! The room was very clean! Nice pools- indoor and outdoor. Everyone was very friendly! We booked ahead, and glad that we did. We had 5 people, and they had a great 2 room suite with 3 beds. The breakfast was very good. Overall great stay!

This was a great stop on our way to The Badlands/Black HIlls/ Mt. Rushmore area! Everyone was so friendly, the rooms were very clean and the breakfast service was perfect!! We had a lot of fun with the automatic pancake machine:):) Highly recommend to any type of traveler--solo, family or groups.

Stayed here passing through town. Have been to Wall previously, but stayed elsewhere. Nice indoor and outdoor pools. Had a great breakfast (make your own omelets and pancakes). Only issue we had was there was not enough places for people to sit when eating breakfast. Rooms were very clean. Staff had great recommendations for places to eat. Set up like a motel with doors to the outside. Great experience.

Will stay at this hotel again if in the area. Very nice professional staff, nice location, nice rooms. Price was excellent for the area. Hotel staff went out of their way to be helpful. Will stay again and suggest to others in the family if they are in the area.

Stayed at the Best Western Plains Motel for one night after touring Badlands NP while on a cross country trip. The hotel is close to the highway and to everything Wall has to offer (Wall is a small place). The staff was friendly, the room was large, clean and quiet. There are two pools: indoor and outdoor. That's a perfect feature for families. The breakfast was served in the same building as the indoor pool and was a decent hotel breakfast. This is a good place to stay in Wall.

This is a great place to stay and I should know because we've stayed there once or twice a year for at least fifteen years in a row. The rooms are comfortable and clean, the outside is well maintained and the breakfast is great! They have nice amenities. I highly recommend this hotel!!!

We were so happy with this hotel! It was within walking distance to Wall Drug, and had both indoor and outdoor pools for the kids to burn some energy after a long drive! Rooms were clean and well maintained. We stayed just one night and it was the perfect place to stay on our way to visit the Badlands the next day before continuing on to Keystone for the week.

After hot summer days in SD and 4 hours spent in The Badlands, it was so nice to check into a modern, cool motel for R&R. Our room was larger and very comfortable. Though the motel is relatively large, our room was quiet. We had good wi-fi for the teenager and an extensive list of cable TV channels for me. There is a nice pool and a breakfast room with lots of choices. Since Wall is Very Small, everything is within walking distance and The Badlands are just a few miles down the road. I'd happily stay here again.

This is a wonderful old fashioned hotel that is clean and in a good location for the Badlands. You could drive up yo your room. It is two stories with no elevator.Our room was small and dated but we had good water pressure and good wifi.The breakfast area was clean and roomy with plenty of good food. The pool is outdoors and clean. We loved that it is family owned and you can tell that they care about this place. We will stay here again.

I traveled with 2 grandaughters ages 11 and 12 and a grandson age 9. We had a ground floor room, spacious and clean. Check in was easy, very nice women. Fridge in our room. Pool and breakfast was across the driveway. Nice breakfast, nice indoor and outdoor pool. Easy access to I-90 and a bit of a walk to town but not too bad where Wall Drugstore is and parking can be a problem. Wounded Knee museum very close too. Subway and a nice convenience store in the gas station very close. Badlands entrance a few miles down the road.

Not convenient to the main drag --6 blocks or so--so you do have to drive to the shopping area. The indoor outdoor pools are very nice. Small but very clean. NO Help or elevator to get to the second floor. So make sure you ask for a ground floor room. The rooms are comfortable and very clean. Breakfast was delicious. Many different selections. Makes up for the high cost of the room.

The Best Western Plains motel was not what we had expected, however this refurbished 70's style motel did not disappoint. The rooms were spacious and clean, and the staff was attentive to our needs. The hot breakfast was enjoyable and plentiful. They could expand their breakfast location. due to the many rooms and guests the space was at a premium and needs a major expansion. Overall our stay was good and we were happy with the value received for what we paid.

Wall is a good location for Badlands and Buffalo Gap Grasslands. Not many choices for hotels and this one is ok. It is walking distance to several restaurants in this small town. The bed was a little soft and our room on ground floor was a bit noisy when people walked in the upstairs room. The bathroom was also a bit small. They did have good wifi - fast and good coverage. The Free Breakfast was typical for this type of hotel. The staff were all very nice and friendly. They sell out most nights in season so make a reservation. I would probably stay here again as there are not many other choices but hotel is not great.

Considering that this place is in Wall, a middle of nowhere town with not much to do, and populated with tourists and other budget hotels alike, this was definitely an excellent choice of stay. The rooms were not outdated, spacious, and contained a mini fridge and microwave—the basics (that some other Best Westerns don't have). The front desk was friendly and check in was quick and smooth. Our room was stocked with plenty of towels and other necessities. We were greeted with a welcome message by the housekeeper written on the notepad and a letter explaining about the hotel's owners. Their approach was welcoming and made our stay more personal. We stayed 2 nights and the housekeeper again left a nice note thanking us for our stay. They also folded a towel into a heart and replaced all our towels even though we didn't request them to. Their breakfast was excellent —eggs, sausage, bacon on another the day (for meat eaters), a pancake machine, French toast, and then of course, the basics. It was an actual meal; we didn't need to find breakfast elsewhere both days. They also had a sign stating that gluten free and non-dairy items were available by request. I would recommend this place to anyone going to Wall. If we go there again, we will definitely stay at this Best Western.

The room would have been nice, but really needed updates. Carpet badly needs to be replaced, it's old smelly and stained. Our room smelled pretty bad - like mold and urine - partly because of the carpet, and partly because of the air conditioning units, which looked like they were 30 years old and smelled like the filters have never been changed or cleaned. Beds were clean but not very comfortable. My daughter complained that her sheets were damp - maybe because of the humidity, or maybe they weren't fully dried. The pool area was nice, there's an indoor and an outdoor pool. The area restaurants are very disappointing and the only thing to do in town is Wall Drug, which is okay if you like touristy things. My advice for anyone traveling to the Badlands area would be to stay in Rapid City. It's a bit of a drive, but I think it's worth it.

We've stayed at the Best Western Plains Motel twice. Both times were great. The check in process is fast with friendly staff. The room is a standard room but it's very clean and smells clean. The beds are comfortable. Our son plugged the toilet while there and staff arrived within ten minutes to fix the problem. The maintenance man that arrived was friendly and unplugged the toilet in minutes. The breakfast is far better than most in this price range. The staff is constantly filling food when it gets low. Absolutely no complaints about the BW Plains Motel.

Stayed one night in Wall at the Best Western, family of 4. Room was dated but clean. Check in was no problem. Included breakfast was standard but crowded because served in a small room. This motel style facility would be considered over priced most places, but everything in Wall is tourist priced, so if you stay in Wall, it is not too highly priced.

Beds were comfortable. Plenty of towels. Coffee pot, micro, fridge. A big family runs this hotel and all work together to make a beautiful and comfortable place to stay. We stayed a night on June 4th, 2018. Room was CLEAN, COLD, and QUIET. We were a family of 3 adults with 2 children. Our granddaughters loved the cool clean beautiful pool. We will definitely stay here again if we are in the area.

We stayed here for a photo workshop and I have nothing but positive things to say. Very clean. Friendly and very helpful staff. This hotel is very well managed...the stay was effortless. Really enjoyed the free popcorn machine in the lobby. This place made our business stay a pleasure!

This Best Western motel was a great find very close to Wall Drug and a few miles away from Badlands National Park. This is a family-run location, as indicated by a letter that you'll find in the room in a sculpted towel (see traveler photos) upon walking in, which is nice to see. Our room had 3 rooms - 1 large room with 2 beds and a couch, a small bedroom, and a bathroom - all very comfortable and clean. Cable TV selection is also very good. There are two pools - one indoor, one outdoor. The indoor pool area is very clean and good for families but it could be a bit warmer. We didn't get to have the continental breakfast but saw preparation for the morning starting rather early. The lobby area also has a room where you can pick up some snacks, including popcorn. This motel is not far from Badlands National Park or Wall Drug. You can actually walk to Wall Drug from here. Enjoy!

Overall nice stay front desk staff was very nice and accommodating. Room clean and ready. I didn't use the pool but I looked in and it seems nice and clean. It's within walking distance Wall Drugs. Free breakfast the usual nothing special about it, clean and got.

Breakfast had lots to chose from. Pools seemed very clean. Super friendly people working here. Room was dated but clean and comfortable. Fitness centre was lacking free weights but had a decent bike and treadmill. (Did not use the ellliptical).

This was a very nice hotel. Beds were clean. Housekeeping forgot toiletries, so make sure you have backups. Good parking. Nice table for eating or playing cards. Very convenient location if you're visiting Wall Drug. Nice free breakfast.

This is an older motel. It was clean but worn. The bathroom was dark and old but clean. If we return to this area in the future, we will drive on to Rapid City and stay there instead of staying in Wall.

I stayed here on May 10th. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean. I enjoyed the hot tub. The breakfast was good for a quick start of the day. This hotel is close to area attractions. This is the second time I have stayed at this hotel and if I am in the area again, I would stay here again.

We stayed here on the way back from Montana and it was a clean, comfortable place and the staff was very friendly. I would definitely recommend it. They have a hot tub and a pool and the breakfast is excellent!

Over-priced notel with breakfast that was mediocre. Our room had a somewhat funky smell that might have been from the parking lot that seems to have been recently black-topped. The town and Wall Drug are not worth the stop.

The room was quite large & the microwave & fridge were handy. Nice breakfast. We didn't use the pool or hot tub but they looked inviting. Staff were friendly & expressed their desire to assure a good stay.

We stopped at the Best Western in Wall while visiting the Badlands. The room was dated, but very clean. The indoor pool was freezing (which didn't stop our kids from splashing around for a couple hours), the hot tub was perfect. The pool area was clean and nice. The continental breakfast was great! Eggs, sausage, pancakes and more - it was great to have a full breakfast before our day hiking. We would stay here again!

We stopped here on our way to Wisconsin and this was a very nice stop. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Room was clean and well maintained with some extra touches that added to the stay. We stayed with dogs and there was a grass area to walk them.

I highly recommend staying here to make your trip and access to badlands memorable as the staff on all levels make you feel at home and cared for it makes it easy to enjoy the shops and the sites close by

The location was great, although probablt the best option for the location. The hotel was dark and dated and didn't feel overly clean. The breakfast was goid and had a nice variety. Due to the convient location would probably stay at this location again.

Stayed here for one night to explore the magnificent Badlands NP. Staff very friendly, room clean, recommend upstairs for less noise. Breakfast was a good selection of the usual offerings plus a few extra (French toast, pancakes). The only negative is that the room-to-room noise is considerable, and in our case the TV being turned on at 3:30 am in the room next to ours made for a difficult night's sleep. Not sure how this can be avoided, especially since we requested a quiet room. Overall a pleasant stay, and conveniently located to the Badlands.

The motel is an o,def property but is well maintained. The beds were very comfortable. The breakfast had a lot of variety, more than you usually receive with a complimentary breakfast. This motel is a little different because check in time is 1 p.m.

This was our first time staying at this Best Western in Wall, SD. We were pleasently surprised with the quality, cleanliness and comfort we were provided. Breakfast is served in the pool area and there is a good amount of seating space with plenty of options available. Staff at the front desk were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend staying here and will likely choose this hotel again when visiting the area!

The staff was so accommodating, seeing as how we pulled up at 11:00 pm needing a room. They were fast and efficient when it came to putting us in a room and that was much appreciated. Our room seemed to be newly remodeled and was very clean. All the amenities and electronics were in perfect working condition and the bathroom was spotless. They had a pretty good breakfast selection that went above the normal continental breakfast spread. Overall, this was a great hotel and we will definitely stay again if we are in the area.

This Best Western was your typical Best Western with the same design, styles, and amenities. Clean, cozy, wonderful motel breakfast, free parking, and friendly staff. Nothing new to add to that. The hotel was about a 8-10 minute drive to the entrance to Badlands National Park. You literally could even walk into the town of Wall where there's plenty of shopping and restaurants. We chose this hotel due to its close proximity to these two locations. Perfect for getting up in the morning and hitting the Badlands before it gets congested with tourists and perfect for grabbing a bite to eat in town after a day of being a tourist. Other than that, there's really nothing else nearby. It's probably an hours drive to Rapid City Regional Airport. Maybe an hour and 45 minutes to Mount Rushmore. If I was ever in the Rapid City area again, I definitely would consider Best Western Plains Motel as a place to stay again providing I would want to see Wall or the Badlands again. Otherwise, it's kind-of far from the more populous area of Rapid City with more things to see and do. The only thing I'd suggest the motel could do to perfect itself is have a better checkout option for those who want to leave early in the morning. There were several couples, including ourselves, that didn't know what to do when waiting for the front desk to open. Some just left their keys inside their room while others waited to be checked out properly all while maintaining their final receipt. We chose the later. Even though it worked out well since the morning sun hadn't crept up the horizon at that hour, it would have been nice being able to sleep in an extra hour knowing the front desk wouldn't be open when we got up.

Wall is the idea location to visit the Badlands National Park. The Wall Best Western Motel is a great place to lodge. The room was clean and came with a frig and microwave. Bed was comfortable and quiet. Breakfast was good and had many options.

We have come here every year for the past 5-6. The rooms are ok, but the help is what makes this place so great. We enjoyed breakfast while we were there. The thing that we did not enjoy is the party people that stayed above and beside us. Putting children in upstairs rooms is bad but the adults that toss things stomp around and yell are worse. They shut down half of the rooms forcing all visitors to the front of the hotel which meant each room was full. It has been good but next year may require a change.

Staff was helpful. They provided local information. Asked for and got a first floor room. Breakfast was very good for a motel breakfast. Motel grounds seemed very clean and neat. I didn't use pool which was in a separate building and it was cold out.

We were very happy with our stay. Room was very nice. We stay with our pet so in some places the rooms are a little rough - but this one was very nice. Breakfast here was really good. Lots of selection including hot eggs and meat. Would gladly stay here again!

Spent all afternoon in the Badlands National Park and needed a short rest before heading back to the park for sunset views. Hotel was right off the highway and had easy access. Easy access to the interstate made sunset in the Badlands very doable. Walking distance to downtown to Wall Drug and downtown Wall. Nothing special about the hotel. Rooms were clean and neat. Room rate $107.

Nice place to stay. Clean rooms great staff wonderful group of people to meet. Breakfast was awesome nice variety of food . Nice places to eat and within walking distance of the hotel. Small town with a big personality.

An older, "remodeled" property, redone with poor workmanship, that is minimally maintained. No elevators, tight parking, and the outside lighting was not working on most of the upper balcony and steep stairways, Front desk personnel sent us to a restaurant for dinner where we waited for 15 minutes and still no one had even greeted us or given us a menu. Other hotel options did not look much better. Our advice would be to go ahead an visit Wall Drugstore but choose a different town to overnight in. For comparison, the older BW in Spearfish, MT was very nice.

Who knew Wall, SD would have such nice accommodations? Good location, nicely appointed room, quiet, clean, friendly and well-priced. Breakfast was fun with the pancake machine. It was crowded with families and younger children, which made the morning bustle even noisier and hard to navigate if you're trying to get to what you need. But overall it was a great experience, and the property is obviously cared-for by the owner/family. Thanks for making the stay so comfortable.

This Best Western was extremely clean and comfortable. The people at the front desk were very helpful in answering questions we had about the area. The breakfast they served in the morning was a typical hotel breakfast, there were three people in my group and we all found something that we enjoyed. The location of this Best Western is also amazing! its so close to Wall Drug, (a great place to shop).

This was the second time I've stayed here and it's been updated all around since my last visit. Loved that the refrigerator has a separate freezer compartment that actually works. Great for refreezing ice packs for the cooler. Room was clean and comfortable. Staff friendly and helpful. Best reason for returning in the future - great breakfast buffet with lots of extra added touches.

We had a delux queen room which was clean and comfortable, though the bathroom was tiny. The location is great for Badlands. Breakfast was acceptable. Hotel very busy and quite noisy. But it did the job.

Best Western in Wall was a most comfortable, pleasant stay. It's worth more than one overnight stay as you drive across country. Beside the famous Wall Drug Store which is right down the street, the area offers so much more. The beautiful Badland National has hiking trails for all abilities and a great scenic drive. The Minuteman Missile sight nearby is very interesting. The beds and pillows were comfortable and the room very clean. Staff was extremly friendly..always with a smile and a good morning. The breakfast was hearty with plenty of hot choices and was kept well stocked even during the busy times. Although the indoor seating area was small, and was too cool for the outdoor seating that is provided. The indoor pool is also a nice feature. A recommended lodging choice.

The room was OK, the area was OK, the breakfast was OK, the location was OK. The problem is, I expected something a bit better than OK for the price we paid. My wife and I stayed in Wall while we were on a 21 day road trip. We stayed in a lot of hotels/motels; this was not one of the better price/value stays.

Checked in about 9pm local. Parking lot was almost full and trucks with trailers lined the street. Teresa at the front desk found two rooms for us on the ground level (bad knees and no elevator). She remarked about our accents (an exhusband from Kentucky had schooled her ear) and let us know about the pool, breakfast and where ice was available. When we asked she gave us easy directions to the Badlands Saloon & Grill. The facility is not new but the rooms are updated nicely, spotlessly clean, and decorated with accents appropriate to the area. Bed is comfortable, linens are well laundered, for all that the parking lot now has no empty spaces the place is quiet and feels very safe. I look forward to a good sleep and a convenient breakfast in the morning. Not sure I will ever make it back to Wall South Dakota but if I do next time I will reserve a room. We love the Black Hills and visit frequently. On our way there we always make sure to Stop at Wall and stay in the Best Western Plains motel. For the area the rates are fine and the rooms are always clean and comfortable. Great breakfast and indoor and outdoor pools! Blocks away from Wall Drug which is a great piece of Americana. Highly recommended!!

We spent 2 nights here in September 2017. Great location to visit Badlands and great breakfast. Room was clean. We had the room with 2 rooms since there were 2 couples. It was a little small but adequate for us. Would stay there again.

Our visit to this hotel was a short, but very nice experience. The room was clean. There was a sweet heart made out of a towel on our bed! Our room had everything we needed. The hotel is close to Wall Drug, restaurants, bars and gas stations. The breakfast was tasty.

Everything about this stay was great. Rooms were clean, showers were hot, and the breakfast was exceptional. I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Wall. The pool area was very clean and the pool and hot tub were very enjoyable. It was only a few blocks from Wall Drug and we were able to walk to it.

This hotel is good, it's just that I am spoiled to staying at newer and more elaborate hotels, and this was the best hotel in Wall. The employees were friendly and helpful. The hotel was quiet and the bed was comfortable. They have good internet connection. They do have a swimming pool. Breakfast is the typical foods but well displayed. My complaints are very worn linens and towels and drab decor of room. I am very sensitive to smells and something in the room bothered my allergies. It could have been room spray. They are pet friendly, so be sure to request a pet free room if you have allergies. They do not have a laundry, but just a block or 2 over, there is a laundry mat that has several machines. We stayed in Wall on our way to Custer because we didn't know how far we would have to drive to find another hotel. We discovered the next day that it was only 51 miles to Rapid City where there were an abundance of newer hotels.

Very comfortable experience in Wall, SD. Ideally located to visit Badlands National Park. Motel style with hotel comfort. The complimentary breakfast was outstanding. Close to the town of Wall where Wall Drug is located, a quirky western store housing a restaurant, gift shop, western wear shop, and other local plains paraphernalia.

We were very pleased with the stay at The Best Western in Wall. We arrived late afternoon / evening and were checked in by a very friendly and helpful lady at the front desk. The room for the price alone would have been enough to give this motel a high rating, but in addition we had the best free breakfast we've had at motels in our travels.

The hotel had a good location, staff was friendly, rooms clean and adequate.....we were satisfied with our roo . The hotel was full but service remained good. They also have breakfast included with your stay.

Easy location to get to, exceptional service, very clean, huge breakfast selection. I stayed here 15 yrs ago. It is obvious the owners take pride in the property. Everything felt very up to date and fresh. Good WiFi, too.

We had a very nice room on the 2nd floor. No elevator and I had requested a 1st floor room if no elevator, but that was through Expedia and they couldn't accommodate us. I asked the man at the desk if someone could carry our suitcases upstairs for us and he did so very willingly. Very nice young man. Room was clean and sufficient, no problems whatsoever.

Special note on bed upon arrival, clean rooms, courteous staff. We were very happy and surprised at the hospitality and charm beyond a normal Best Western Hotel. Flowers in the lobby, etc. This management went the extra mile and we appreciate that.

A good place to stop for the night. The staff is friendly and quite helpful. Rooms a spacious and comfortable. I liked the fact that the next morning, there were towels on our motorcycles to wipe the down with. Best Western is always motorcycle friendly!

We stayed one night here on our way to Mount Rushmore. It's a typical small town motel but friendly and the room clean. They say it's a continental breakfast but it's more than that. There were hot items like eggs and sausage and warm tortillas. When we arrived in our room a towel Had been rolled into a heart and placed on the bed with a note from housekeeping to enjoy our stay. Nice touch.

Our plan to visit the major attractions, Mt Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Deadwood, and the Badlands were accomplished using Wall as a home base. It is even doable to drive to Devil's tower and back through Custer State Park. There are plenty of walking areas around Wall and the Visitors Center is friendly and informative. Of course we had to experience Wall Drugs too! Best Western worked well for us with our terrier although I wish they had a nicer outside pet area.

Better than the standard breakfast. Clean rooms, friendly staff. Complimentary treats for my dog. Close enough to Wall Drug to walk. Tiny grass dog park behind the building. Hate those ones that are just rock!

Good stop on the way to Mount Rushmore. The town of Wall is very small. The Besr Western appeared to be the nicest choice. It was clean and updated. Wall is a good stopping point if you have been driving all day. We started our touring the following morning. Restaurants are extremely limited. Might as well eat at Wall drug.

Reasonably priced, clean, convenient to freeway. Room was spacious (we had 2 queen beds), shower had non-slip in tub. Did not have an elevator. I'm 67, in good shape, but would rather take elevator to 2nd floor when hauling luggage. Breakfast had many hot and cold options, biscuits, gravy, sausage, eggs yoghurt, and a pancake maker. One night. Definitely would stay here again.

This town was our stopping point after a very long drive from Minneapolis. Wall is a beautiful little town and Best Western couldn't have been nicer. The staff was friendly and helpful. Our room was quiet and comfortable. We had a good nights sleep and enjoyed a delicious breakfast, then we were off to Keystone, SD

This was a nice, updated room, that was simultaneously spacious and a bit cramped. We had a room that contained a queen bed in the main room and two queen beds in a separate bedroom (that had an actual door). The queen bed took up most of the space in the main room, so the only seating (besides the beds) was a tiny table that had two chairs. There was a window in the bedroom, but not the main area. The vanity area was huge (really nice), but the bathroom (containing tub/shower and toilet) was super cramped. We were on the second floor (top floor), and it was really quiet. The breakfast was good. It seemed pretty updated and the beds were comfortable. The front desk staff was friendly and quick. I'd stay here again.

Slightly outdated. Not a lot of options in Wall so I think this is best choice. Pool area was great for grand kids. Breakfast selections were good but breakfast area was small and strained to handled number of guests at motel. One night a tour bus pulled in and created massive over-crowding in breakfast area the next morning. Easy walk to Wall Drug. Food options limited around motel. Rooms small unless you get rooms on South end of Building. (i.e 275 etc)

The hotel was clean and tidy. The breakfast was hot and good. The hotel is in town and close to wall drug which is why we stayed there. I would recommend the second floor if footsteps from above bother you however there is no elevator.

Room needs updated. Hotel is convenient to interstate but not really within walking distance of tourist sites unless you have no problems walking. The pool area is nice and the breakfast was served in the lobby of the pool house. One of the better breakfasts we had. Really liked the pancake machine.Staff were accommodating.

Room was clean, bed was comfortable. Had mini fridge and microwave. Staff was friendly. No issues for us. I wish they had a price for those of us who don't want to use the pool or eat breakfast though. I just need a room that's clean and comfy.

The front desk staff was efficient and welcoming. Exterior is quite dated. Our room was spacious but had a musty smell and worn furnishings/towels. It was sufficient for a one night stay while traveling.

You can see that there is pride of ownership with the BW Plains Motel. Family owned and operated. The staff knew their stuff! You can see that they are well managed and trained, But more than that, they were friendly, helpful, and smiled!

A good location to explore the Badlands, just 8 miles away. The room was as expected, basic but clean and comfortable, though a little loud. Thin walls made us hear neighbors' conversations and TV! All personnel we met was very friendly, breakfast good, but the room way too small for all guests, we had trouble finding a table both at 7:30am and 9am. We did not use the outdoor pool but it was available across the main building until 10:00pm.

My family and I stayed here for the night before visiting the Badlands. No issues checking in, the staff was friendly and courteous and my reservation was processed quickly. The room was clean and comfortable.

We always stay at this best western when we visit wall.its always clean and comfy and the employees are very welcoming to us...its close to all the excitement so we walk...they have 2 pools and a hot tub..normal quick breakfast provided...i really cant complain about anything...its a great place to stay when ur in the wall area...

What a nice surprise! Everything was perfect in our room -- cleanliness, working order, appearance. We were 2 people in a 2xdouble bed room and the amount of space and furniture was adequate. Microwave, fridge, and A/C unit worked properly (not too noisy). The team running this operation clearly takes pride in all its aspects. This is the motel to choose in Wall, and we will definitely use it next time we visit the area.

This Best Western was an excellent place to stay. The staff were exceptional and helpful, beds were very comfortable, pillows so soft and cozy, and breakfast was delicious. The hot tub was just perfect and the indoor pool was relaxing. Did not use the outdoor pool, but, many seemed to be having a great time swimming. Very clean.

I was passing through and looking for a good place to spend the night. I didn't have my Rewards card with me but the clerk found me in the computer and got me a good downstairs room. The room was clean and the people there were friendly, so I will go back if I am in the area again.

We stayed here for one night after touring the Badlands. The hotel is close to the western entrance/exit to the park, and we returned to the Ben Reifel Visitor Center later in the evening for a stargazing program (for the Perseid Meteor Shower). The hotel is just okay - nothing special, but not terrible. The room was a good size, but the beds were a little hard for my taste, and the pillows are cut-up pieces of foam stuffed into a pillow-case - common for Best Westerns. The kids liked the indoor/outdoor pool and the breakfast was adequate. So not a great hotel, not a terrible hotel, but your choices in the area are pretty limited, and for the price I'd say it's a good value.

I always find Best Westerns to be clean and comfortable. We've had good luck on our trips staying there. They have both an indoor outdoor pool. Breakfast was ok need fresh fruit though. Not much to say other than it was clean, comfortable, friendly and I'd go back.

Rooms Small but nice, a bit dated but they have a indoor and outdoor pool, we did not use, fenced in, Breakfast area small, some outdoor tables, nice selection of breakfast items. 3-4 block walk to Wall Drug, Do take a walk there, and go through to the back, they have things to take pics on, like stagecoach, Jack-a-lope, Mt. Rushmore, A lot of vintage stuff, lots of places to eat, HD store. Nice place for family, do not miss,

Very happy with this property, great service. Would definitely recommend and stay there again. After riding motor cycles all day the bed was very comfortable and the hot tub was indoors to help soothe the aching muscles.

Best Western Plains Motel was a surprising quiet, clean, comfortable place to rest our weary heads. The staff was lovely to a person. A little spendy for Wall, SD but once we arrived and were checked in, it was worth it. The bathroom and bath amenities were bare bones but the bed was comfy, the main room decor was pleasant, and it was equipped w/ a microwave and fridge. WiFi was free and it worked (yeah). the location is convenient and it is dog-friendly.

The staff were friendly and helpful. I felt welcome the moment I walked in the lobby after a long, dusty day on the road. We were on the 2nd floor, which was quiet and more private. The room was very cute with wood ceilings and beams. It made for an enjoyable stay in Wall.

My family and I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights while visiting Badlands National Park. It seemed to be one of the closer hotels to the park, at about 20 minutes away. Our room was on the first floor. It was clean and ready when we arrived. The hotel is older and (I think) has been renovated. My only complaint with the room was that the carpets seemed to be dingy. My socks were filthy after walking around the room for an hour! The pool was wonderful, as the temps were in the low 100's the days we visited. There is both an indoor and outdoor pool, as well as a hot tub. I suspect that that this is one of the nicer hotels in Wall... and there's not a lot to choose from.

Very friendly staff, had to book on the fly and got a great rate for what we needed for a family of 5. Very good breakfast, clean rooms and squishy beds. Definitely would stop again if in South Dakota

We've just returned from a 6200-mile cross-country trip. This is our 4th cross-country loop that we've taken since we retired, and on this one we completed our goal of visiting all of the lower 48 states. We stay at hotels as we travel, and we have learned what we expect from a basic hotel room, and have used these expectations to rate the hotel rooms where we have stayed. This hotel was very clean, had new furniture, good wifi, and a nice tub with a slip-proof mat. Even though the temperature outside was over 100 degrees, it was nice and cool inside. One thing took us by surprise - the water was very, very hot. We learned to be careful.

There were not many choices in Wall, but this was a good choice. The rooms were clean. Breakfast was typical hotel breakfast. Parking left was a bit tight. Staff was very friendly. When we arrived earlier than anticipated, they said they could check our bags until we could check in. Bag check consisted of an open access room. However, the check in was in a separate building, and you had to go by staff to get to where the bags were placed so it didn't seem to be that big of a problem.

Our AC broke, and we told them that morning. By the time we were back, they had completely replaced the unit. You can see staff working hard, and the owner is out "directing" in the mornings. Friendly bunch and work hard to make the stay positive. The motel is clean and efficient although the rooms were a little small for a family of 4. Breakfast is standard "free hotel" breakfast. It is fine.

This hotel gets 5 stars in my book. The rooms are very clean and the hotel grounds very well maintained. The beds were very comfortable and free break fast was really good. I will definitely stay here again on my next trip through.

The facilities are clean, staff is attentive and nice, but breakfast is all that fake-ish, cheap egg and breakfast products; stick with toast, yogurt, and hard boiled eggs and it's fine. Everything is quaint but overpriced in Wall.

For the money and location, couldn't have found a better hotel. It's family operated, and the attention to detail was eveident in every area. We had 2 rooms, both large with 2 queen beds, and they were clean and bright. The housekeeper left a towel folded into a heart in each room along with a welcome note, which was a nice touch. The beds were good, the rooms clean, the staff very friendly and helpful. I travel for work and spend countless nights in hotels, and this experience made me as happy as any other stay in a large city with a higher-end hotel. I was frankly worried that a small town hotel would be more of a "motel" experience (run down, unclean, scary) but this stay changed my perceptions of what a small town hotel can be. Keep up the great work!

This hotel is probably what you would expect in Wall SD but not what I am used to. The rooms are very outdated and old, but comfortable. It's within walking distance of the Wall drug store which is why we stopped for the night.

This property was clean and very cared for. The room was great, the pool was a nice size, good size TV, you can walk to all restaurants in town. Breakfast was always good. The Badlands National Park headquarters is 20 miles away. Would stay there again!

Our family stayed here as a stop on a 2 week road trip. Rooms were nice, as well as very clean. The staff was unbelievably friendly. Loved the personal note and towel shaped like a heart from housekeeping staff. I like that it was family-owned and that they took obvious pride in their business. Breakfast was good, with large selection of items. Only complaint about breakfast was the scrambled eggs.

I stayed one night at the BW Plains Motel on my way cross country. I was in Sioux Falls and arrived at 1:30 pm. The room wasn't ready, so we drove a few blocks to see Wall Drugs. Afterward, we checked right in. From the hotel, it's only a 5 minute drive to Badlands National Park. Breakfast was good and the coffe was excellent. I was very satisfied with the stay for the price I paid.

Close to town, clean rooms, friendly staff. I would recommend to anyone looking to stay in Wall. A must see in Wall is the Wall Drug store. This is the place to stay if you want to see The Badlands. Which is a must see too.

This property is your typical middle of the road Best Western. Location is good if you are visiting Wall Drug and the Badlands. Parking is a challenge. Person who checked us in was not the most pleasant or helpful person I have ever dealt with when giving my money to someone. Who knows, maybe she had just dealt with too many tourists that day... On the flip side, the person we dealt with at check out was very friendly and pleasant. Pricing is definitely set up to take advantage of weary travelers in a giant tourist trap. Room was ok, but beds seem to have been used repeatedly by a heard of mating elephants. Most certainly time to replace the badly sagging mattresses. The pool area was very nice, with both indoor and outdoor pools, including a hot tub and exercise facility. In a town with few options, this facility was OK, but probably not somewhere I would look forward to staying again, and especially not before the mattresses are replaced.

As I looked around Wall, it seemed common for hotels to have an open second floor accessed by stairs. However, I didn't expect this of a Best Western. The room decor was '90's style at best, but the lobby had been redecorated in the past year. I guess they are going for first impressions.

The rooms are up to date, comfortable, and clean. The staff is friendly and ready to help. The pool area is nice. The breakfast is ok (eggs tasted horrid but the rest ok). Even though the place looked full it was quite. It is near the freeway and the Badlands so good location. If you are passing through I would recommend.

This is a traditional motel circa 1960's, as in, drive right up to your room's front door. And my wife and I NEVER stay at motels any more. However, the place is immaculate, our room interior--the walls, ceiling (a very nice wood design), carpeting, TV and furnishings--was all new. And tasteful. The beds were comfortable, and there were enough electrical outlets. The Plains Motel is family-owned, and family members were visible everywhere. Better still, their standards are very high. And their free breakfast was a notch above the others' free breakfasts. Given all of this, the Plains Motel is a sweet nostalgic experience without the creature comfort sacrifices usually associated with nostalgic experiences. it's not the Ritz. But then, service and cleanliness rated just as good as any five-star hotel. Loved the place.

This is our 2nd year staying here during our family vacation. Rooms are very clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast even offered some gluten free options which was huge for our family. Upon request the had gluten free cereal, and Glutino bars. The lady in breakfast area was very helpful.

My wife and I were on vacation in South Dakota. Since we wanted to see the Badlands, we decided to spend the night in Wall South Dakota. Wall does not have very many hotels; therefore, we decided to stay in the Best Western. It was way overpriced for the quality of the hotel. The room was OK, but it was not worth the price. I will stay in Rapid City the next time that I am in the area.

The personal touch was nice, from rhe note from housekeeping, to the letter from the owners. Breakfast was very good having some items that as not normally on thr menu. Room was clean and comfortable.

Not the best hotel overall but from what we could see for Wall, SD there's is the best. Room smelled pretty bad near the AC. Kinda urine-y but probably just stale. The shower was awful though. The water temp fluctuated the whole time. (We didn't report it but should have).
