« Glad we only stayed one night »

First thing was that Best Western (corporate) messed up our reservation, telling the facility we were coming on a different day. Luckily, they were still able to accommodate us, but only after a lot of confusion. The room itself was okay, but the temperature was hard to control due to the knobs on the heater/fan being broken. Plus there was no thermostat, so you were constantly trying to turn it up or down. It was a non-smoking room, but turning on the vent in the bathroom started to smell like cigarette smoke. Water pressure from the shower was really harsh and there was no way to turn on the shower without getting sprayed by the initial really cold water. And, like every other hotel out there, the beds are smaller than advertised. For breakfast they have made-to-order eggs, which worked well (when you get past the feeling that the employee would clearly rather be doing something else) but the promised waffles did not. They keep the waffle machine turned off (not a lot of guests--wonder why) so getting a waffle means waiting FOREVER for the thing to heat up. In summary, won't be staying here again.

« too pricey and needs renovation »

noisy, nonfunctional bath vent, echo rooms, loud doors, way overpriced compared to other, better hotels in town. I've stayed here several times before and the quality appears to be going down. Newer motels are in town at better rates, more comfort.

« Visit to the Dinosaur National Monument in Utah. »

Nice clean big room and a great breakfast with personal prepared eggs and a good location for a visit to the monument. The monument is only 10 miles away and is a must visit for any dinosaur buffs with the actual diggings housed in a large building built right around the exposed mountainside. Plenty of historical information and a well informed ranger ready to answer any questions.

    « Very Comfortable - I would stay again »

Large room with two sinks - very useful. Even the TV remote had been cleaned. Comfortable beds with comfortable benches at the foot. Nice breakfast included - with the extra perk of made-to-order eggs. Friendly staff. A good place to stay for sure.

    « Nice Place »

This place was like a little gem in the heart of Vernal. Super clean and reasonably priced. The beds were nice and comfy. I also liked that you can park right outside you room door. The breakfast buffet was nice, cooked to order eggs is always a bonus.

    « Nice stay »

We stayed one night in Oct and were very comfortable in this hotel . Very pleasant well appointed room . Next to the laundry , which suited us as we needed to use it . The staff were pleasant both in reception and breakfast room .We found the bed comfortable and had everything we needed for our overnight stay. Breakfast included 'cracked eggs ' we were assured and there they were ! Fried eggs - the first time we have found them in USA at a free breakfast in 25 years of visiting ! Excellent ! Worth a visit ! We can recommend this hotel .

« Fine for overnight stop but nothing more »

This motel has spacious rooms and is in the centre of Vernal. breakfast is basic but then it's free! Eggs cooked to order. On site restaurant is actually just a pizza place but we found a good brew house down the road.

« convenient location, nice hotel, good breakfast, »

This hotel had just been renovated and was beautiful. Huge bathroom and the green in me me liked the soap and shampoo dispensers rather than the wasted paper and plastic wrapper/containers. Best breakfast we had on this trip, eggs cooked to order, bacon, sausage, cereal, fresh fruit, hash browns, bagels, yogurt, toast, and my favorite soda as well as coffee and fruit juices. Close to Dinosaur National Monument in Utah which was impressive. Very helpful and nice staff.

    « Great staff. »

The motel itself is nothing special, but it was super clean and quiet. We had to change the dates of our stay at the last minute (literally same day) and the staff did that without a problem and didn't charge us. So, excellent service on their end. The mattress was awesome! It was one of the very rare times where I didn't wake up with my back killing me from sleeping on a cheap mattress. The one BIG issue I had was the carpeting. While it was clean, it was old and super cheap, and the feeling of it was like walking on crepe paper. So gross! Which is why it's getting 3.8 stars. Would I stay again? Yes and I'd recommend it as it was affordable, clean, quiet with a great staff, just bring slippers/socks.

« One of the better places in town »

This motel in known for a friendly staff, clean rooms and very good breakfast selection. Even though the rooms are older, they have been upgraded and modernized to exceed that standards of many newer motels in town. I was surprised when the nice lady offered to fry an egg to my specification.

« well worth staying at »

not only was the eggs/ omelettes cook fresh for you in the dining room, but all the cutlery was proper metal utensils and the plates were ceramic, none of the plastic and polystyrene, we have put up with at every other Hotel on our month long road trip, not only is these better to eat with, But far better for the Environment....I praised the staff for this whilst we were there, its little things like this raised this hotel to be one of the best we stayed at excellent location for Dinosaur NP and Flaming Gorges SP

« Friendly, Quality Road Trip Hotel! »

Two nights we had at the Dinosaur Inn whilst visiting Dinosaur National NM were the best night sleeps we had in 18 days of travel. Huge, comfy clean bed in a very spacious newly decorated room was an absolute treat near the end of our road trip. Front desk were really helpful and friendly, but the shining star was the breakfast room and breakfast, the best we had included on the whole trip! The lady running breakfast was fantastic, cooking eggs as required, constantly topping up and cleaning.....and all with a great smile. Made us feel very welcome indeed ! An absolute star! Hotel is situated on the main drag in/out of Vernal, but quiet considering it's location. A short walk from some good eateries and of course, ideally located for getting to Dinosaur NM.

    « Nice place! »

Stayed at this pretty little hotel while attending a conference at the new Conference Center (which is fantastic,by the way). The service at this hotel was wonderful. They were friendly and helpful, even when I had to ask for a jump when my car battery died an early death. The rooms were clean, looked recently renovated, and had surprisingly comfortable beds! The morning breakfast was wonderful, with eggs made to order. I will certainly be staying here again!

    « Wonderful Hotel »

Great, spacious, updated rooms. We received made to order eggs with our breakfast, which was nice. The service here was exceptional. Would definitely stay here again. Best hotel we have stayed at during our week-long trip, including ones that were double the price.

    « Would stay again! »

Desk staff very helpful & friendly! Older facility that has gone through some renovation. Not sure if finished from little things I noticed in our room, I.e. combination of light & dark furniture, light fixture in bathroom. Small cosmetic things only. Everything clean, plantation shutters throughout. Common areas very nice. Breakfast good. Cracked eggs cooked to order. We would stay again!

    « Best breakfast ever »

This is a nice Best Western that has a real prize in Lou, the lady who makes great breakfast eggs and hash browns to-order. She's fast and a real jewel. Great change from the usual bad motel breakfasts.

« Wouldstay there again if in the area »

A couple of issues which were addressed immediately by the reception staff: there were no Best Western information book or phone book in the room. And one which was not (hair blocking the shower drain). I wasn't going to call anyone at that time, so I cleaned it. I told the reception staff in the morning and they said the issue would be discussed with housekeeping.

« All well and good »

Breakfast is great, eggs cooked fresh and accompaniments were tasty and plentiful. Reception staff are very helpful. Clean laundry facilities - 2 washers and two driers, much appreciated. Fantastic restaurant next door Antica Forma. 2 minutes walk, if that. Room was well appointed and large. The largest we had out of the previous seven hotels we stayed in on this trip. The only reason I'm dropping a star is because of the early evening rowdiness of fellow guests. A lot of miners stay here and they were letting off steam from 5-8pm on a Friday evening by drinking beer sitting on the back of their pick ups. A group of six made a lot of noise. I felt a little wary leaving my room to go out for food but they didn't call out or bother me. They'd all gone by 9.30pm when I returned. Quiet otherwise.

    « Brock gave over-the-top service »

Stopped in Vernal before going to Dinosaur National Monument. Unfortunately, our rental car overheated, so we were stuck for the night. It looked like were going to be there for three nights as all the rental places were closed and there were no service stations to address the car problem. So, Brock gave us a very nice quiet room and he said he would hold it for the next two nights. Before we went to dinner, I asked if there was a larger room available, but did not take it at that time. As we left for dinner, my wife told him we were not going to change rooms, but I was disappointed there was no desk upon which to put my computer. He had a desk installed before we went back to the hotel.

I'm 53. So I'm starting to realize I don't move as well as I used to. Well these rooms are set-up for those of us who are older or disabled. The shower is a walk-in with grab handles all the way around. There are grab handles in other places in the bathroom. All the rooms are accessible on the ground floor so you can roll a wheelchair in. There are soap, shampoo and lotion dispensers by the bathroom sink and in the shower so those with arthritis don't have to try to unscrew a small bottle or unwrap a small bar of soap. ( however I'm very proud they did provide bar soap, I'm an older generation guy and I'm not into that whole body wash stuff. I'm a man and I want a bar of soap!) There is a miniature Keurig coffee maker as well. Much easier for arthritic fingers plus you can bring your own flavors with you! Breakfast is wonderful as they have a cook who will make eggs to order! I stay at a lot of hotels and I really get sick of scrambled eggs because that's usually all they serve. It's located in the heart of downtown so it's close to many restaurants and antique stores. The dinosaur museum is very close by as well. There's an outside pool and playground for the kids or grandkids. I can't say enough good about this place! I've stayed in many of the hotels in Vernal for work and this is by far my favorite. I will also add that of the different states that I travel to this is by far the best hotel I've ever stayed at as far as how nice it is, convenience, and all-around enjoyability. If I could give it a higher rating I would! This is room 127.

« Great Stay, Clean Room, Quiet, Good Breakfast »

We spent one night and found the hotel perfect for our needs. Brock at the front desk was a treasure trove of information and always available to help. The room was tidy and clean with all that we needed. Breakfast was good with the usual hot items etc. Parking was directly out our door and the pool looked nice. There is an excellent pizza restaurant (Antica Forma) right next door where we enjoyed dinner.

« Best Hotel in Vernal »

Room was nice and clean, smelled fresh. Quiet area/parking lot. Very friendly hotel staff. Large, recently renovated rooms. Great pizza joint attached to the main building. Next time I'm in Vernal I'll for sure stay here again.

    « Good free breakfast »

Our room looked like it was recently remodelled. It was large enough to have two queen beds and a couch. All the amenities -- WiFi, TV and refrigerator. Staff was very friendly. Free breakfast was better than average; eggs were available and were cooked to your request. Convenient to local restaurants.

    « good place »

The swimming pool and area surrounding it were exceptionally clean. The staff were very helpful and welcoming. When going through Vernal, UT in the future, I will likely be staying at this motel. We also liked the freshly scrambled eggs and the meat was ok as well. In room coffee was excellent.

    « Very good »

We had a nice huge room facing the pool area, very comfortable and clean. Breakfast was good, eggs are prepared fresh. We enjoyed our stay and would stay here again. Remark: On Sundays a lot of restaurants are closed in Vernal.

    « Needs updating »

Not really bad, but not exactly good either. Furnishings and decor somewhat dated. Personnel were pleasant and helpful. Apparently there is some remodeling and rebuilding planned but not underway yet.

« Great stay while we went boating! »

This was out 3rd time staying at this hotel. It is super convenient and much nicer than you would expect for a Best Western. My family loves staying here. The pool is nice and clean. The rooms are larger than most we stay at, they are clean and nicely appointed. I plan on staying here every time I am in Vernal, I have been taken care of very well here.

« Nice hotel but had some issues »

This is a nice hotel. Updated very well and the rooms are big. This hotel could be a 5 star hotel but had some Maintince and housekeeping issues. There were many places in the room that need some basic maintenance repairs. Also found a lot of hidden trash that the housekeepers should be cleaning but I think just do a fast cleanup of major visible areas of the room.

« Clean and big room »

We stayed here for only one night. The room was the biggest one we had so far on our road trip. It is very clean with a seperate bathroom. The bed is really comfortable so it was hard to get up. The breakfast is included and you can get freshlybakes eggs, really good!

    « Pleasant stay »

The free breakfast was very good with made to order eggs, staff was attentive and nice. My room was clean and comfortable, nice mattresses and linens. Great for relaxing after our all day adventures on the green river, hiking for petroglyphs and Dino bones.

    « Quiet comfortable room »

The room was clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful. This was probably our best Best Western experience. This hotel had a free breakfast which included eggs made to order and waffles. They also invited my kids to come to the breakfast area whenever they wanted for free soda pop. Wow! There was an outdoor pool that we were not able to enjoy. Also, there was a pizza joint on the property which had the best pizza I've had in a while. The only downfall was that our room had no decor. The walls were stark white with no pictures or anything.

    « Great hotel »

My family visited to the national monument of Dinosaur. It was so close to this hotel. There is a nice dinosaur sign in front of this hotel, so it is easy to find. A room was clean and nice breakfast!

    « A little taste of Heaven »

This Best Western Hotel really sticks in my mind. It is the first Best Western I have stayed in that has someone fixing its customers' eggs right in front of them and just how they like them. The person working in the breakfast room was excellent. The eggs were fresh and just like I like them.

    « Beautiful and clean! »

Recently updated. Hot breakfast with made to order eggs. Sodas, water, and ice 24/7 and free. Towels and pillows are fluffy and plentiful. I could live here. 2 sinks in bathroom area so makes it much easier to get ready when you're a high maintenance gal like myself. Worth a stop.

    « Nice place »

The Best Western Dinosaur Inn in Vernal, Utah was very clean, had a nice staff, a relaxing pool, and more. Basically, everything you'd want in an overnight stay at a decent price. My sister stayed at the Best Western Antelope Inn down the street and she had a nice experience as well.

« Great Breakfast - Eggs made to order! »

This is a very good motel in this price range. The breakfast that is included is one of the nicest I have experienced. They make the eggs to order. The room was clean and comfortable. The A/C was good.

« Very Welcoming! We will be back! »

Our stay was a few months ago, kept meaning to get on here and write about how great our experience was! Our room was clean and comfortable. Everyone at the hotel was helpful, friendly, welcoming. Also when we had breakfast on Sunday the person running breakfast offered to make us eggs to order! That was awesome and definitely above and beyond what other hotels do for their free breakfasts! I will be back next time we are in Vernal!

    « Outstanding »

Checking in and out was quick and easy. Room is large, bed comfortable, room clean and the bathroom also is clean. Room has a fridge and microwave and there are laundry services on site. The hotel is built in a 'u' formation and there is an outdoor pool in the center. Breakfast has a wide variety of hot and cold items and there's even an individual cooking eggs to order. This is absolutely the place to stay when in Vernal.

    « More than good... »

Hotel well presented, all necessary facilities, well-placed. Clean rooms complete with accessories. Friendly and helpful staff. Good position to visit the town to walk. Note: Only the proposal for breakfast is not much variety.

    « Good Quality Motel »

Although a Best Western, this hotel is a high quality Motel, with rooms in motel style on 2 floors. Complimentary breakfast is provide with your eggs cooked to order. Outdoor pool. Pizza Restaurant next door

    « Reno or bust »

Great hotel. Very nice town. all the stores and rest. looked very nice. Only went in a couple.. great area to stay. We were on our way home, and stopped here for the night. If you have a family traveling to this area , get the king suite. Wow it was great.

« Great Hotel with Great Prices »

Was greeted with friendliness. Checked in, Room was very clean and nice. Breakfast was wonderful as well. Pool area was great. Would definitely stay here again. Family ran and you can definitely tell that they took pride in treating guests with friendliness and great service.

« Clean, quiet and comfortable »

I recently stayed here for 2 nights. My room was spacious and had been recently remodeled. I loved the big bay window with the wooden shutters in my room. My bed was very comfortable and best of all felt clean. I had a sofa, nice carpeting and good size TV. The bathroom had a nice tall granite vanity and tiled shower with glass doors. They do offer breakfast with cook to order eggs and plenty of seating for everyone. The pool area is nice too. There is a guest laundry. This hotel is located on a business highway but I never heard the traffic going through. I was glad I found this place. Would I stay here again? You bet.

    « Great stay! »

We had an enormous room, with two queen beds and one king, perfect for our family. There was a huge television on the wall (and another in front of the king bed), a couch, a shelving unit and a refrigerator and microwave. The bathroom could be a little tight, but I love having two sinks and generous counter space. The new linens are great!!The breakfast area is a bit small, for the crowds they could get, and the girls taking care of it all are working SO HARD to accommodate everyone. I don't know how sustainable cooking the eggs to order will be for them, but they are doing an awesome job. The only snag we had was trying to open the pool gate, but someone came out of the office right away to assist us. Perhaps this will be part of the renovations, too. These changes, along with the addition of Antica Forma, brings a level of service that is going to appeal to travelers, so it's clear they have a vision :) Be advised, though, if you are trying to travel across the street, I don't think drivers are going to stop for you in the crosswalks. In fact, I think the drivers were a bit reckless in town, so if Vernal wants to be a bit more tourist friendly, they need to revisit this...I didn't feel much safer at the lighted intersection, truthfully.

    « Sold my room out-from-under-me !` »

I made a reservation over a MONTH in advance, and requested a ground floor room... I had stayed in MANY different ground floor rooms in this Motel before, so I know them intimately... When I arrived, I was informed that my room was on the second floor... I reminded the clerk that I was handicapped, and couldn't make it up the stairs - especially with luggage... She was quite snotty with me, and told me that just because I had made a request, they were not obligated to honor it.... Strangely enough, My brother had checked into his room a couple of hours before... On the ground floor... And he was told that he was next to me... I stayed at Studio 6... On the ground floor !

« Great place to stay »

The staff is welcoming and helpful. There's free hot and cold breakfast every morning. There's also a Pizza restaurant located on the property. Their food is very good! The room was comfortable. There was a lot of natural light in the bathroom. The only thing that I didn't like were the blinds. They weren't very good at blocking out the street lights at night. So, I would wake up in the middle of the night to lights shining through the blinds.

« Renovated and great value »

Friendly and informative staff. Completely renovated rooms. Excellent breakfast with eggs made to order! Stayed two evenings. The carpet in the room the first evening was extremely soiled and the bed was showing signs of wear. Our problem because we should have complained and they may have been able to move us, but we did not say anything. We did tell management the next day and they said they would address it right away. Later that week we stayed in another room at the same inn and the bed was great and the carpet was new!! Overall good value and a very comfortable stay.

« Outstanding Road Warrior stop »

I travel and drive a lot, did I say a lot . I have stayed at many best westerns throughout the USA. I find their price point to work for the not too horrible and not too expensive , generally ok to pretty good rooms. So I downshifted into Vernal and went by BW antler first and immediately went back down to BW Dinosaur and pulled right in. I like the single story /drive up /no one above me Set up that I saw they had. As soon as I walked in a knew this was a nice BW ( looks avg from road) . Sharlee was working the front desk with Alexis and they could not have been more competent. Sharlee gave me exactly what I wanted. I would say that my newly redone room was one of the best BW rooms I ever had . Huge , sofa , walk in shower, great bed. Excellent location with many eat and drink places near . Pool was nice and cool and clear. Thanks for all your help Sharlee and Alexis. I'll be back - next road warrior trip thru.

    « Stay Again »

Will definitely stay the next time in Vernal. Received excellent treatment from everyone who worked there and also made a few new friends. Jen and Brock are very professional and genuinely caring about their guests.

« First time in Vernal »

We booked the Inn to stay in for a few days early, before a 5 day River Trip. WOW the manager/owner , Brock, was so helpful getting us into a room quickly and we were very pleased. The room was huge, clean, two separate sinks in the bathroom, a couch/hideaway bed, and lots of room to organize our river and camping gear. The breakfasts were the best,...eggs cooked to order!! Jen was our cook and office person for three days and she was fantastic. Very friendly to all the guests. She fixed eggs/breakfast for 25 people and helped other guest check out at the same time.Outstanding!! The pool was very nice and the location was ideal. I highly recommend the Motel for all guest and especially for those people going on the Green River Raft trip with Dinosaur River Expeditions. We got to leave our cars there for 5 days, the manager let us store our phones, wallets and other items in lock boxes. Brock also safeguarded our luggage while we were on the river. We plan to go back there once a year and will always stay at the Dinosaur Best Western.

« Civilization before and after rafting on the Green River »

We stayed at the Dino Inn before and after our four-day rafting trip through the Gates of Lodore on the Green River in the Dinosaur National Monument. The front-desk staff was very welcoming and ensured an excellent stay back in civilization. Brock recommended the pizza place next door, which offered delicious pizza and beer. After a very restful night in the newly remodeled room, with new sheets, fluffy towels, and a walk-in shower, we feasted on a yummy breakfast. Jen, who had worked through almost the entire night, prepared eggs to order with a cheerful disposition and visible enjoyment. We highly recommend the Dinosaur Inn to any traveler.

    « Very comfortable rooms »

Nice rooms and located along the main road in Vernal. Decent breakfast with eggs made to order, which was nice. Apparently, the Italian restaurant/pizzeria attached to the Inn is very good but be aware it is not open on a Sunday. Very disappointed to hear this as we had planned to eat there. In fact you are hard pushed to find somewhere to eat on a Sunday evening. The "Plaza Mexicana" was very good if you like Mexican food. If not, you are pretty much stuck with fast food outlets. The Utah Field & Natural History Museum is just up the road.

« Clean, Knowledgeable and Friendly »

Our visit to Vernal, Utah greatly enhanced by our accommodations. The Dinosaur Inn was tasteful; clean and in good repair. The pool area offered towels and a clean pool. The staff was, without exception, helpful, cheerful and able to point us to the best Vernal has to offer.

    « Great service! »

I was on a biking tour from Denver to Salt Lake City, and I was looking for a place to rest my weary head. The Dinosaur Inn was great - spacious rooms and bathrooms, clean and freshly remodeled, and a Keurig machine for quick coffee. Brock at the front desk was friendly, helpful, and knowledgable about local attractions.

    « Vernal, Ut »

We stayed at the Dinosaur Best Western in Vernal for a baseball tournament. We had a king bed in a large room. The room had a sofa as well. The room was very clean, the bed comfortable. My only complaint was the TV, the sound was poor and because it is on the wall it is difficult to change channels. The breakfast was very good and the staff accommodating.

« Yes and Not So Much »

Our room was large, bathroom included, compared to other places we've stayed. It was very comfortable. Breakfast was about the same as usual, but it was quite crowded. The people were very nice and helpful.

« Nicest best western we have ever stayed in »

I booked this hotel from two states away and called to make sure that a middle of the night check in would be ok. I spoke with the owner and he informed me it was ok. They called me the day of to confirm time and he was waiting for us at 2 am when we arrived. The whole complex is renovated and the room was immaculate. The staff was very friendly. You can tell that the owner takes a lot of pride in the property. He was always around willing to help if needed. Great prices. Definitely a place to stay when visiting vernal.

    « GREAT FIND »

This place is awesome. Very clean, newly remodeled, very pleasant staff. Free internet and a good breakfast. Great location for all local activities. Owners are on site and very helpful. I would recommend this hotel for a business trip or pleasure. Also a great pizza restaurant is on property.

    « Not Jurasic »

We arrived early ,am, could have been given a room ,but we preferred to be on ground level. We went shopping and came back At 2 pm and a room was ready. Clean .wkifi. Convenient for Vernal and the Dinosaur monument. Good breakfast . Hot and cold .

    « Loved this place »

We loved this Best Western. The room was very large, recently updated, clean and we could park right outside our door (especially like this feature). The staff was very friendly. We'd definitely stay here again when in the area.

  • 4
    « Overnight stay »

Good value...rooms were clean.breakfast was what is expected (the usual scambled eggs, cold cereal, etc..., but they could use more help with the breakfast rush...will recommend and use this facility again when in area.

    « Wonderful Stay »

We stayed at the Dinosaur Inn recently for a family trip to the Dinosaur Monument. We had a two queen room, and it was really nice and comfortable. We loved the hand soap and lotion in the bathroom. It's a small thing, but still a nice touch. The staff were very accommodating and helpful as well. The same gentleman that checked us in also cooked breakfast on the Saturday we checked out, and he was a really nice fellow. The lady that managed the breakfast was also really nice. We will definitely stay here again in the future!

« Great little hotel, especially for families »

We stayed here one night while on a road trip. The room was great! It was clean, large and had a very comfortable bed. The staff were friendly and helpful. While we didn't use the pool, it looked very inviting. The free breakfast buffet was the best we had on our trip. When we booked the room, we didn't know what to expect, but we were very happy with it and would highly recommend it.

« Best Summer Hotel In Vernal. Outside Pool Catches The Sun Dawn To Dusk. »

One of many reasons to stay at the Best Western Dinosaur Inn is the outdoor swimming pool that catches the sun's rays from dawn to dusk. It's very relaxing and great for working on your tan. And it's a larger pool, not one of the tiny ones you'll see at other hotels, so there's room for the kids to splash about and the adults to relax in the water at the same time. It's the best in town. Been staying at this hotel on and off for around 5 years now. The rooms are all refurbished and they're very clean. The rooms with the walk-in showers are great. The beds are very comfortable. The new flat screen televisions offer numerous no-charge movie channels. The staff members here are all very friendly. If you're a Best Western Rewards member, you might ask at check-in if they can upgrade you to one of their suites. There are great restaurants within easy walking distance. The Antica Forma is on location and serves great specialty pizzas and other Italian dishes. Vernal Brewing Company and Dino Brew Haus (burgers and ribs) are a couple blocks away. All in all, it's a great place for folks on vacation and for those who are in town working. I really like being able to drive up to my room and not having to carry luggage and work things across a parking lot and then up an elevator. I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Vernal.

    « Pet friendly???? »

I asked for a pet-friendly room.....the one I was given was depressing. The floor was filthy, stained and ripped....I would have never dared to walk bear-foot on that thing, let alone my dog! I cancelled my booking and went elsewhere...much cleaner. If you are not pet-friendly, just say so; if you are...then treat your guests who travel with a dog with respect! Pet fee is $50....for a room that is not worthy $10. I do not mind paying hundreds for a good, decent and clean room, I do when I get a little more than a hole in the ground. That is just not fair.

    « fantistic renovation »

we stayed here 5-6, 2016. the place had been renovated recently. the room cost us 88.00 though it was worth more. best place we stayed in the 8 days we were out west !!! the shower was gigantic , plenty of room to turn in.the bed was king and very comfortable. the staff was great. if I go back to vernal , I would stay here again

« Dinosaur Inn in Vernal, UT »

I really wasn't expecting such a nice Best Western -- clean, modern and spacious room. Plus it is so close to Dinosaur National Park. The Dinosaur Inn staff couldn't be nicer. The warm freshly cooked breakfast was an especially good touch. Two local restaurants were suggested and they too just fit the bill.

« Great place to stay! »

I would definitely stay here again! The room was clean and comfortable. We had a refrigerator and a microwave which was handy. Free breakfast was good. The pool wasn't open yet because it wasn't warm enough yet to use an outdoor pool. It didn't bother me since we weren't planning on swimming anyway. Nice location where you are in walking distance of restaurants.

« Great hotel, very nice staff »

We stayed here for two nights and were pleasantly surprised by how nice the room was. Much better than I expected from a Best Western. The staff was very nice and knowledgeable about the area. They suggested some activities that were not on our original plans, but they turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip. I would suggest this hotel to anyone staying in the area. It is honestly the nicest hotel I have ever stayed in while visiting Vernal.

« We were exploring in late March, and ended up in Vernal, Utah. »

Petroglyphs galore marked a day spent exploring. From NineMile canyon we ended up in Vernal Utah. We'd gotten there early enough we explored Dinosaur National Monument, BBQed in Split mountain campground and just wanted a place to stay before taking off the next day. The Dinosaur Inn looked like just the place. The Young man at the front desk was interested in everything we'd done, where we were from, and asked if we were interested in seeing anything during our visit other than dinosaur bones. When I said yes, he proceeded to give us directions to Fantasy Canyon, one of the most glorious little "finds" I've ever experienced. The room itself, however, was just as good. Beautifully remodeled, it looked more like a B-&-B than a motel room. The soaps and shampoos were plentiful, but earth friendly mounts on the wall, along side a placquard with tiny dinosaurs stating the individual bottles were available upon request. I loved the place. We ended up spending two nights, instead of one, seeing this lovely canyon, and visiting some great museums. The hotel so professionally tidy, the breakfast buffet was plentiful and clean, and the staff was so helpful and kind. Kudos!

    « Nice hotel »

We stayed here for a night after driving in snow all day. We got there about 9pm, the reception guy was so helpful. He gave as washing powder and changed our room near to the laundry room as he knew we had to do washing. Little things. The room was huge although quite cold. But very comfortable. Breakfast was nice and it was in a good location.

    « Excellent »

This place looked new. Staff was efficient and friendly. Breakfast was hot and ready. They crack their own eggs. Wen we checked in we were given a coupon for a nice restaurant on site. It also was excellent. Prices were reasonable. I'd defiantly go there again.

    « Kelly morgan »

The rooms are very nice they had plantation shutters in all the rooms, brand-new gorgeous!! The breakfast was great and Shelena the desk clerk was very very helpful and sweet!! Also they have Kuric coffee machines in all the rooms I thought it was fantastic!!

    « Dinasaur Spring break »

Took 4 grandkids for educational spring break road trip. Goal was to visit 2 national monuments. Dinasaur national monument was great! We stayed in Vernal, Utah at the Dinasaur inn. The room was plenty big with 2 comfortable queen beds, one pull out sofa, huge bath with very nice large shower. I got a great rate through Expedia! No pool (only summer), but the kids played on the small playground gym for a good 35 minutes. I brought "good dinasaur" blu Ray, but they did not have a player. They kindly loaned us their xbox. Few options for restaurants on Sunday, town is closed. Denny's was open, was fine. Breakfast is included and it was the best of 3! The eggs are cracked fresh and bacon done in a skillet in back, she keeps bringing out fresh made hot refills! Coffee was fine, juice, breads, fruit, cereals and waffle maker with syrup on the tables. She chatted with us and recommended their Dinasuar/ history museum with activities for the kids. Our family was completely happy and it was fun!

    « Very nice! »

Great and personable staff/owner. Very comfortable room- loved the kuerig coffee pot in room. Very good breakfast and great variety. Would stay here again for sure. Grandson really wanted to check out field museum ( wish they would have been open on Sunday) .

« Great place to stay »

We stayed in a family room with two queen sized beds, a king size bed and a fool size pullout sofa. It was great for a family with teenagers! It's clean, the staff is wonderful and the breakfast was great. It's located on the main street but we're didn't hear any traffic noise.

    « Dino-mite! »

We have to agree with previous reviews that the Best Western Dinosaur Inn did a great job with their renovation. Super friendly staff, good free breakfast, awesome pillow top bed, well decorated, large room with two sink areas, great water pressure. Some minor complaints would be a chilly bath area, rusty light fixture in the bath and peeling paint on a picture frame. Didn't detract from the comfort of our stay. We had a room away from the highway behind the pool area, so it was very quiet.

« Comfortable beds even when pregnant »

My husband and I stayed in this hotel and I slept so well. I'm pregnant and have a hard time sleeping away from home, but this was an amazing bed. People are wonderful and friendly and it was super clean.

« amazing service and great people »

The rooms are really clean and newly renovated. The breakfast in the morning is one of the best I've ever had, they definitely care about service. If im ever in the area again i will be staying here for sure!

    « Outstanding! »

I just wanted to leave a review on my experience! Being a military man I'm very detail oriented. From start to finish the service was exceptional. But I think what is most impressive was the room. From the looks of the outside I did not expect the room to be as nice as it was! Modern and renovated I was blown away! A special thanks to management (Brock) for your professionalism! Highly recommend and I will return for a stay whenever I am in Vernal. -JP

    « Visiting family »

Great room and price! The service was outstanding. I had never been to Vernal and BW Dinosaur Inn made for a pleasant visit! Next time I go to Vernal, I will be booking BW Dinosaur Inn as my hotel. Clear hotel of choice in Vernal UT!

    « Awesome Hotel »

This hotel is awesome! The rooms have been remodeled and are beautiful! Brock checked us in and was nothing short of amazing. What great service we enjoyed from him and his staff! Breakfast is the nicest hotel breakfast we have ever experienced. Great location, great hotel!

    « Clean rooms »

We went out to go snowmobiling out in Utah and we decided to stay here. Overall the building was in really good shape and all the employees were very great to work with. When we got into the room they was very clean. The bed was also really comfortable. If we ever come back to vernal we are definitely staying here again.

« Great choice for an overnight stay »

We were on the last night of our road trip and Vernal made a convenient place to break the journey. We were very happy with our motel style ground floor room with parking right by the door. We had twin queen beds and the room had everything we needed for our stay. There is an on site pizza restaurant so we were able to walk a few yards to get our evening meal which was particularly welcome at the end of a long day on the road. Breakfast was included and had all that we needed. Reception was efficient and the room rate was reasonable. So all in all a good stay.

    « Great choice! »

This was a nice place to stay. The rooms were spotless and had been refurbished. Didn't look like much from the outside, but we would choose this Inn in a heartbeat on our next visit to Vernal. The room was very quiet, which is always important to us. We were very pleasantly surprised at the breakfast. There were several choices of hot and cold food. We didn't get our wake-up call 2 out of the 3 days, however, so we missed breakfast all but one day! The staff was very accommodating and friendly. The location was perfect for us.

« Conveniently Located Near Dinosaur Park »

This hotel has been have renovated; rooms are clean and fresh. Bathroom had all new tile. There is new paint and new furniture. The beds were comfortable, with fresh linens and soft towels. There was an in-room coffee maker and fridge. Breakfast was well made. The staff were friendly and outgoing. Free WI-FI was included and worked the entire stay.

    « Comfortable bed & clean room »

Stayed here for 2 nights. Bed was excellent, room was clean. Large room with a king size bed. Breakfast included, and nice options. Consider this hotel whenever you are in the Vernal area. Good location in town.

« Close to major sightseeing »

We stayed here 2 nights to see Flaming Gorge and Dinosaur National Monument. The town has a lot of dining options. We ate at the Brew Pup the first night which was outstanding and the pizza place next door the second night which also was really good. The internet was very slow in our room and kept disconnecting. I finally had to go to the lobby where it worked fine.

    « Very enjoyable stay »

This is a roadside hotel, old-style, with surprisingly nice rooms. We had a king bed larger room, and it was huge by hotel standards. Great big bathroom area, closet, vanity and bedroom. Everything in the room was clean (appreciated the "clean" remote for the TV). Shows a real effort on the part of Best Western to address a typically dirty issue. Our room had a large window with curtains that blocked the light. 2 story hotel without an elevator - just know that going in. Outside entrances to the rooms, which I typically avoid, but with this hotel, I felt very safe. The lock was sufficient and an extra lock was placed on the inside of the door as well. The hotel is located right on the street, but street noise was minimal. Nice location -- you can walk to a really great dinosaur museum and gift shop across the street. The front desk staff was especially helpful in pointing out local restaurants and tourist attractions, and tourist brochures are available in the lobby. Breakfast was standard fare, but it did the trick of filling us up in the morning. The only negative was it could use more signs outside. We originally went into the neighboring restaurant (which turned out to be EXCELLENT) because we just could not figure out which building was the lobby. I would stay there again,. Very reasonable rates. You cannot go wrong with this hotel.

    « Very nice surprise »

Reserved this motel through the BW 800# because of good comments on TripAdvisor and had a BW gift certificate to use. Was pleasantly surprised. Yes it is an older motel with updated rooms, and my favorite surprise was the window in the bathroom (which only the older motels have) and the attractiveness of the bathroom. Another surprise was a beautiful pedestal sink in the bathroom as well as a sink in the long counter (so convenient for my things) outside the bathroom. Glad that the refrigerator was one with a small freezer section and the microwave worked fine and was simple to use, and boy that TV was enormous! I had a king bed which was very comfortable, and there was a desk with an ergonomic chair, and a chair in the corner with an ottoman and a small round table beside it. I always bring a folding chair and tv tray with me on trips... but it was nice to have that little round side table too. The two staff ladies I met were warmly welcoming with big smiles. And there is a computer to use in the lobby if you don't bring your own. The breakfast was an excellent buffet. Those scrambled eggs were delicious and tho I don't eat the meat provided, was glad to have the potatoes. The waffle maker made little round waffles rather than a big one. So much offered. I would love to stay again. Vernal is surrounded by the most interesting and beautiful mountains, of all different desert colors and varieties. The town is the largest in the NE corner of Utah and has many interesting touristy things to do... as well as many stores, restaurants, etc.

    « nice big room »

We booked a king room here at a very affordable price. Very big room, very nice normal Best Western bed and bedding. (always great). Super clean. My only beef was no bath tub but a very big shower. We were given a ground floor room which we love and were able to park right outside our door. There is an outdoor pool but weather is a little chilly for that.

« Better than it appears »

We arrived in Vernal in the afternoon and have seen a lot of motels without cars on the parking areas, so no problem finding a room. We checked the internet for the rates and decided for the BW Dinosaur Inn, one of the cheaper hotels. We arrived there and were a little bit disappointed about the outside. The sign offered remodeled rooms and so we gave it a chance. After a friendly Check-In we received new, recently remodeled and modern equipped room. The breakfast was good; the scrambled eggs were one of the best on our 3 week trip through the West.

    « Excellent location,good value for money »

Having missed this excellent Dinosaur museum during our last visit because it was closed, we certainly wanted to take this opportunity on our way from Salt Lake City to Denver and we were glad to stay at this BW for its excellent location at a reasonable price. Good complementary bfst and excellent wifi [thanks BW, real improvement!] but above all the friendliness and helpfulness , like in most BW's , is certainly a plus, as well as easy and free parking!

    « Unexpectedly nice »

We got a room with a king bed that was actually better than most hotel beds. The room was very clean and parking for the room is right out the for making it convenient to move your stuff in and out. There are two best western hotels in town and the sign for this one is in front of a restaurant (the actual front desk for the hotel is the next parking lot down)making it a little hard to find but it was worth it. I highly suggest this hotel.

    « Great Bed »

Voted on of the best beds in our 18 day trip. Quiet, clean, 2 sinks which help us get a fast start on our day. Nice front desk employees. Good wifi and breakfast. This location is near the Dinosaur National Park which is amazing. It has an enclosed protected environment dig site. Many bones available for viewing.

    « Spacious ADA room »

We stayed one night in the "Accessible" Room. There were two high double beds in a spacious room. The bathroom was also spacious and the sink and counter were completely accessible. The closet had low hangers and high hangers, and shelves in between. The only problem was that there was no shower seat, and the shower controls were not accessible without getting totally wet. When the floor got wet, it was very slippery. Closed captioning worked well and the WIFI was good, even though we were far from the office. The office had a low counter for people in wheelchairs. There is a small step between the office and the breakfast room, but there is a door (unmarked) directly into the breakfast room, with no step. All in all, very ADA friendly. Staff was friendly and helpful.

« Pleasant, clean and convenient! »

Enjoyed staying here - the hotel room was very comfortable and the hotel is located next to a nice Italian restaurant. The staff were really friendly and there was a good breakfast selection in the morning. Good location for driving to the Dinosaur National Monument

    « A great stay every time »

The adjoining pizza restaurant is fantastic. The hotel offers everything one can expect. The beds are very comfortable and the rooms are clean, with all basic amenities, I expect during my one night business stays. A breakfast is included with the stay and offers some variety and good options. This is very convenient. Good location, right on US40.

« Central to all you need »

This is one of the best Best Western's we have stated in, although next to the main road it was still very quiet at night. We had booked a suite as we were there for two nights and the prices were very reasonable. The room was on the end of the building and actually had an outer door to gain access to the room door, double security. The room was large, clean and well appointed with all the usual amenities. The staff were friendly helpful and efficient. A five minute walk in either direction brings you to a decent restaurant and the Dinosaur Museum is only a short walk as well. A twenty minute drive gets you to Dinosaur National Monument. This is a very convenient place to stay for access to all the local attractions We arrived on a Sunday afternoon and were informed that most of the local restaurants are closed on a Sunday so choice for eating is limited.

« best western dinosaur inn »

One of the best motels we've ever stayed in. Large room, comfortable bed, large TV. Parked in front of room. Excellent breakfast, many choices. Fresh cooked, scrambled eggs and regular plates, cups. glasses and silverware. No paper or plastic. Friendly, efficient staff. Very pleasant stay.

« Dinosaur Inn Vernal Utah »

Nice place near the Dinosaur National Park. Great rooms with small dinosaurs for guest in their rooms. The rooms are nice and clean with the wonderful buffet breakfast near the front lobby every morning from 6AM to 10AM. The area around the hotel is small town atmosphere with very friendly people and restaurants/shops.

« Another great Best Western »

This hotel is very easy to find being located on the main street. Car parking is excellent, the staff are extremely friendly and helpful, the rooms are a good size, clean and the beds are very comfortable. The breakfast is also excellent. The food was obviously freshly cooked and there was plenty of it, more than enough to set you up for the day. This hotel would be an excellent base for exploring the museums and other points of interest in the local area including all the dinosaur related things. We would not hesitate to recommend this hotel, this was our first visit, but it will definitely not be our last.

    « Good value, comfortable »

Typical of hotels in this class, though the old style drive up with front window only left us with a darker room than I would have liked. Nice bedding and friendly front desk were pluses, as were the location of the embedded pizza restaurant (gourmet pizza) and a cool by Utah standards tavern a block away. It was nothing to write home about, but a good value, good for an overnight stop, for a longer stay not so sure.
