The hotel was clean. Our room was a good size. We liked the fact that it was a small hotel. We were not awakened by any noises during the night. The breakfast provided a lot of options and the breakfast staff was very friendly. The parking area is small and required a couple of Austin Power moves to back out safely.

Very nice hotel, great staff, room, breakfast, and about a block from the beach. The room has a safe. The breakfast doesn't start until 7am, would prefer 6am or earlier, but this is a very nice hotel I will stay here again next time I am in the area. We went to the Aquarium of the Pacific, the hotel is reasonably close.

No working safe or phone. No beach towels. Very limited breakfast service. Overcharged for the room and staff ended up charging me twice instead of correcting it. If you want to be near the beach I would recommend picking another hotel.

For the price charged at this hotel you are mainly paying for the location .It is tired looking and outdated .The breakfast is really poor by American standards .The hotel website lists that parking is free if you sign up to become a Best Western member. When you get to the hotel embedded in the small print you sign at check is that there is a charge for parking. The hotel staff at check in aren't intersested in applying any logic or common sense in waiving the fee because you signed the form.Nor were the staff interested in fixing the wifi connection beyond their standard responses

Arrived after a 12 hour drive and tried to check in but there was no one at the desk. We waited half an hour but no one showed up.We walked around the halls and couldn't find anyone. We had to find accommodations elsewhere.

Rod is outstanding! After we booked, we spoke with Rod to inquire about our room location as we specifically wanted a harbor view and we know these special rooms are limited as some of the other standard rooms face the street; he placed us in such a lovely room that, after our four night stay, we decided to stay an extra night however our current room wasn't available. Rod assisted us again and placed us in another lovely room with a harbor view. Also, my husband was carrying 3 hot coffees and Rod came to the rescue by quickly coming to the elevator to lend a hand. Thank you Rod for your fabulous customer service and we will be returning soon!

The hotel room was very disapointing. The toilet was a step-up and difficult to manage. The sink was in the bedroom and not combined with the toilet. My wife and I are in our 80's and I found out later they had plenty of rooms with regular bathrooms available. The female person checking us in was rude and said she was not passing on any room suggestions to the management. My breakfast regular milk was spoiled and curduled so I switched to 2% milk and it was okay. The eggs looked like they were made out of egg whites with a colored center as they all looked very thin and the same.

This the best.hotel in Sunset Beach! It is always extremely clean with friendly workers. Breakfast has some good hot and cold options. There are some great places to eat well within walking distance. Be careful on PCH though, people are crazy.

I felt unsafe and had to blockade my door. Things appeared clean, but they were very old and terribly decorated. If you could even call it decorating. The front desk was clueless and announced my room number to a room full of men. I was a female traveler alone.

I booked 3 nights at this hotel in February. We attempted to check in twice within a 90 minute period and were told that the room we booked was not going to be available for our stay. The desk girl was rude and abrupt and refused to look at our confirmation which clearly stated the type of room we booked. We then had to find alternate accommodation. This hotel has now charged us for a NO SHOW which is a blatant lie because we did show and were refused our room. Iv'e emailed them twice but they just ignore us. Once they have your credit card details you're at their mercy. After 39 visits to the USA this is the worst experience at any hotel we've stayed at. DON'T STAY THERE.

i won't stay here again.Manager unfriendly, too much noise from traffic on PCH. Heating/Air unit, refrigerator too noisy. Cold showers, hot water for 3 minutes,then cold. Overpriced. Always stay at Best Westerns but wont stay here again.

Stayed here one night pre cruise. Rooms are very clean & spacious. Shampoo, conditioner, shower cap, tea & coffee, microwave & fridge etc. great choice at breakfast, including speciality tea, waffles, almond milk etc. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Wasn't quite sure what to expect had read a few good and some not so great reviews from the past, but was pleasantly surprised that it met all my high hopes. The hotel was uniquely designed i loved that, the walk up from the first floor open garage or the walk up to the small lobby and breakfast room and the elevator option. The room with balcony upon the back bay was just lovely. Enjoyed the views and was nice and clean room. Bed was very comfortable and i loved the sink areas not being in the bathroom always nice on the road if there is more than one person to have that so one can do sink stuff while the shower and bathroom are open. Carpet seemed clean and room also had a pull out bed though could not see tv from that seating area. Room pretty much had all you need and there is a convenient seven eleven across the street, and a very short walk through a curt neighborhood to get to the beach. Parking was okay on this busy night but i must say i could see it being an issue on busy nights especially if you aren't in and stay in you room early lol But as such it's great location for easy beach access and short drive to Huntington Beach.

Room was just okay however if you get a street side room the road gets noisy and I had to run the fan all night just to drown out the sound. Look like somebody punched a hole through the wall and they just painted over it, the shower head also looks like someone did a terrible patch job trying to fix it. There's a serious lack of outlets to use, so don't plan on plugging your phone in next to your bed. The parking lot is very tiny. Probably the worst breakfast I've ever had at a Best Western, eggs were so bad I spit them out and potatoes were mushy. Staff was super nice and friendly, hence e two stars but probably won't be staying here again

This hotel seemed a bit pricey for what it offered. We were given a room facing the street, and had to wait until nearly 4:00 p.m. to check in. Apparently that is their normal check-in time. But it gave us very little time to clean up and meet some friends for dinner and we had hoped to check in by 3:00 p.m., which is normal for the majority of hotels which we have stayed in. From the pictures on the hotel website, the rooms facing the back are much nicer, but we were faced with loud Street noise all night. The room itself was clean, but the couch was probably the worst I have seen. When you sat down on it you just sunk into it and it was very difficult to get up! Breakfast was decent, nothing special, but adequate. Parking is very tight. The spaces are incredibly narrow, and they don't even have enough spaces for all the rooms. We did manage to get a spot, however. You could walk to the beach from this hotel, but there really wasn't anything else within walking distance, like restaurants or shops. So I'm not sure I would stay here again.

The refrigerator did not work. Front desk said to turn it off first then wait a minute then turn it back on. ------ Cable TV did not work until I reset power and rescan all channels. What a hassle that is unnecessary after traveling for hours to work again.

The place is quiet, small and the staff really friendly, I'm happy with my stay, the beach just across the street, plant kayak and food places, 15 mins to the Huntington Beach Pier, they rooms are so big

If you want to stay right along Sunset Beach the rooms are clean with comfortable beds. Just a bit noisy at night being right on Pacific Coast Highway. Don't expect much for the views but a 2 block walk gets you right on the ocean. Paddleboard and Kayak rentals launch right into the harbor canals 1 block down. Several small diners in walking distance.

Great service, great atmosphere, very clean, super location, found our new favorite place to stay. Stayed with family, including kids, everyone enjoyed breakfast, something for everyone. Walked to the beach, only a block away.

The discription and the reality were very different. We paid extra for a balcony (we assumed facing the harbor), but had a view of the highway and the 7-11 across the street. There is no "short walk to the beach" as there is a highway between the hotel and the beach. There is no crossing there. The rooms were nice enough, the breakfast was decent and that was about all.

I searched under pet friendly hotels in Huntington Beach and booked this hotel only to be rudely told that no pets allowed. I have stayed at this hotel twice before with my dog and payed $25 for my dog. Please update your listing so we pet people aren't wasting our time dealing with you and your rudeness.

Rooms were old but they were ok. Definitely overpriced. Probably would not stay here again if I had to choose. The hotel is not equipped with a first aid kit. I needed one after injuring my foot on a very old couch that was in our room.

Good location for the beach. Morning traffic noise can be disturbing for late sleepers. Bed mattress is too hard and breakfast needs an upgrade--also, there is no pool. Workers are very friendly and helpful

I was pleasantly surprised by how clean and fresh my room and linens were when I checked in. The room faced a busy street, Pacific Coast Highway, but my room was quiet and I didn't notice the traffic noise. It may be where my room was located, but I didn't hear other guests or noise at night either, even though I was fairly close to both the elevator and ice machine. I did not take advantage of the breakfast but it is in a nice room with tables to sit, not the grab and go kind so many have now. My room had a balcony that was large enough for two chairs and a table, and I wished I had more time during the day to sit outside and enjoy it. Parking can be a little dicey if you have a bigger car, but I managed fine with my SUV. The location is great, you can walk to restaurants and shops and of course, the beach!

From the big stain on the floor and stain on the counter, to the broken couch, and worst of all lights that kept coming off and on in the middle of the nights due to faulty sensors this stay (which we were really looking forward to) was absolutely miserable!

First off, the staff was great, but the breakfast was weak. They did away with the continental breakfast, and served soggy ego waffles, and store bought burritos and sandwiches. The shower curtain kept opening up when we took showers, so the bathroom floor was soaked with water. In my opinion, the owner traded customer experience, for more profit. Sad, because it's a great location. They are also calling full size beds, queens, they are not queen size beds.

I have been staying at this hotel for 5 years. We go down from central California once a year to enjoy events in the Seal Beach area. Since we have been booking this hotel the staff and rooms are excellent. Very courteous staff and above average cleanliness. I will be back next year for sure.

This is by far a hidden jewel of the Best Western chain, and regardless of what I say here, I will be staying here again because of the location. The staff is deceptive and will BLATANTLY AND BRAZENLY LIE TO YOUR FACE! The gentlemen who works in the evening (night auditor), I believe his name is Ken. I'm not sure, but they are all of Indian descent (I have asked, not generalizing here). He's always there, so if you check in after 11 -- it's him. Well, I've had issues in the past with this place. I stayed there while I was regaining my strength from COVID-19. They made me sleep in a room without a heater for 36 hours....but that's an entire different complaint, not this one. On July 15th, I made a reservation for a king room w/ harbor view. Which is the only reason why anyone should stay there. If you have a harbor view and a balcony view, it's well worth the price. Yet I checked in and was greeted with immediate attitude. The gentlemen must have recognized me because he mentioned the previous stay and how he had trouble getting my card authorized and said I should just cancel and leave. After explaining to him I left my card in my car, I returned and everything was approved. So here's the LIE: after noticing the rate was higher, I turn to him before I leave and ask: "This is a harbor view suite? Right?" He said: "No, it's a balcony suite! It's what you ordered! No more harbor view!" This is odd because there are 6 cars in the parking lot - not sold out whatsoever! So i don't say anything. The room was a nightmare. I had no central air, just a wall unit with a piece of cardboard separating my room and the 90 degree heatwave sun. I was appalled. I go to the room internet to view my charges and it says my original reservation was "deactivated." This seemed odd, as I have stayed there numerous times. So I called reservations after my stay and lo and behold, I was right! At 8:15pm the night I checked in, the front desk staff SWITCHED my room to A MORE EXPENSIVE room with LOWER AMENITIES! To make matters worse, the staff LIED ABOUT IT to MY FACE! I'm a rewards member and I booked directly through Best Western. Room types are guaranteed when booking directly through them. This was the worse I have ever been treated by any staff of any property. I'm not sure if it's because I'm Black or because of my sexual orientation - but this staff will DISCRIMINATE, LIE, and STEAL your money. I'm currently in the middle of a dispute with the management and Best Western corporates. I'll let you know what happens. This was disgusting and heads must roll!

horrible insect infestation in our room. drove us out at 3am when husband woke up to use the toilet. roaches everywhere...I mean everywhere in the bed too. you want more characters...no lobby restroom so sent me to Starbucks about a mile walk to use the restroom after a long drive.

Upon arriving we was first checked into a room #317 and it smelled like URINE. It smelled horrible in the room and when we arrived in the room the balcony door was open like they were trying to air out the room. When i went down stairs to talk to the desk clerk we were put in room #209. I previously requested a top floor room and was told they didnt have any more top floor rooms to give so i accepted # 209. When we walked into room #209 it was extremely HOT. i noticed that there was a swamp cooler in the room and the air conditioner on the wall was not working. I saw the outside vent to the swamp cooler was attached to the leg of the desk. The vent blows super HOT AIR out and is suppose to be on the OUTSIDE OF THE ROOM. With the hot vent blowing HOT air directily into the the room it was completely out weighing the COLD AIR the unit was blowing. The swamp cooler had a bucket of water behind it that was completely FULL when we arrived in the room, over flowing onto the carpet. I have never used a swamp cooler before and your staff did not instruct us in any way how to care for this unit. We noticed it was overflowing so WE emptied it half way and then noticed it kept filling up, so now on my BUSSINESS/VACATION TRIP i am responcable for empting a water bucket in my hotel room. When went to the front desk to ask for a solution and i was told he could extend my check out time or refund my money for the remainding 2 days and i could leave. KNOWING ALL THE HOTLES AROUND WERE BOOKED WE HAD TO STAY. I had $50 worth of giftcards to use as I am member. I was charged the full $610, then they refunded the $610 and recharged my card AGAIN for the $560 instead of JUST refunding the $50 which is what they have done at EVERY OTHER BEST WESTERN I have ever stayed at. I believe this was done because i complained and they wanted to inconvence me. Which they actually did because you OVER DRAFTED MY ACCOUNT BY $560 WHICH I DID NOT AUTHORISE ANY BODY TO TAKE AN ADDITIONAL $560 AND REFUND THE $610 KNOWING IT TAKES 4-7 DAYS TO RECIEVE A REFUND FROM THE BANK. ALL THAT SHOULD HAVE HAPPEND WAS I SHOULD HAVE BEEN REFUNDED $50 TO MY ACCOUNT. EVEN FOR 3 DAYS THIS HOTEL STAY WAS NOT WORTH $610 AND I WILL NEVER STAY YOUR HOTEL AGAIN. I SHOULD BE OFFERED A FULL REFUND FOR MY ENTIRE STAY. YOUR STAFF IS COMPLETELY UNPROFFESIONAL AND RUDE AND MY ENTIRE STAY WAS A COMPLETE WAS OF TIME AND SUPER INCONVENIENT IN EVERY WAY. I WILL NOT EVER STAY HERE AGAIN.

The reviews and ads listed this as a hotel on the harbor, which is wasn't. We paid extra for a harbor view, but it was an obstructed view of some boats in a back bay. Not really a harbor or worth the extra $. The room was dated, the furniture old, the carpet was dirty. I switched my credit card on check, but was not told that my credit card had already been charged for the full amount. Then they charged my debit card the full amount. When we brought this to their attention, they inadvertently charged my debit card for the full amount AGAIN!!! We were told that the manager would not be back until Monday and that we would have to speak to them. They did end up giving us a $50 reduction on the rate and gave some bonus rewards points. Overall the stay was fun, but just not worth the price.

Left google review as well. Hotel was clean. Rooms were nice. Great shower water pressure. Bed was decent for a hotel. Staff was ok but not real accomodating when requesting to move to a different room due to key lock not working and he didn't know how to fix it. He expected us to call them every time we left until maintenance was in. Parking was extremely tough for our full size chevy truck and there's not enough for all the rooms. On street parking looks like it can be a challenge during busy times. Overall a good clean room. We would stay again.

From check in to check out we were treated very professionally! It was so nice of the front desk manager Phillip to upgrade us to a suite with a beautiful view of both the Harbour and the Ocean. Irene at check out made sure our stay met our expectations. The rooms were very clean and sanitized. We will definitely return soon.

This place is defiantly 10+. Don't even bother staying anywhere else. If you book in advance you'll defiantly get your choice of room. I booked last minute and got a beautiful room. There was no ocean view because across the street their building higher and higher. But right across the street is a 711 that's open 24/7 and the beach. I loved the service i received & I honestly have nothing bad to say about this hotel. I had a blast. Also they have a covered car area for parking. Which is safely on video. They can see the garage through video at the front desk. 10+

The room we stayed in was very clean, the staff was wonderful and provided prompt service. The room was close to all of the places we wanted to stay. I Would highly recommend staying here for your next trip!

This is an awesome place for lake view and spa tub. Room 210 and 310. The balcony is a nice size. There is some construction going on but it was not early in the morning or late at night. The spa tub is amazing.

I ( a female) went here with my gf , booked a suite, and while trying to check in the male receptionist was very surprised that we were partners. He kept asking if we had sex with each other, if that's what our stay here was, our sexual preferences, and if we would also be interested in having sex with men/him. Would not stop asking even when we were clearly uncomfortable with the conversation. I believe this wouldn't have happened if we were straight. Please DONT use this best western if you want a safe/ welcoming environment. Go somewhere else.

All of the Hotel Staff goes out of their way to make your stay Pleasant. Philip and Rob are Extremely helpful. The House Keepers work really hard to keep the place clean. Great Location for my needs and the Ocean is just a cross the Street.

Please don't leave anything in your vehicle & keep your vehicle locked at all times if you park at the Hotel. There is a small parking garage and they do have cameras, but it is open & anyone can gain access to it from the sidewalk or street.

Phillip at the reservation desk was outstanding and extremely courteous and the room was very clean and fantastic view of the harbor. There are good restaurants nearby and very close to the beach. Had a great time, Thanks

Couldn't check in till 6:30pm they we're doing thorough cleanings due to covid. Get in my room it's dirty with feces in the shower. Changing hotel brands after that.. Disgusting. Looks to be maybe a dog was staying in there...

The location is perfect for our family with younger children. It is located within walking distance to the beach, if my children need a break, we can walk them back to the room. It's also walking distance from restaurants. Sunset Pizza is very close, 5 min. walk, perfect for kid dinner. Since we stayed during Covid, amenities were limited, like no continental breakfast, but that's understandable. We've stayed here twice, because of the perfect location, near the beach.

I don't like to leave negative reviews, especially about a company I like. However, I wan't to be honest and warn other travelers about this hotel. Their website says they offer Grab and Go breakfast, they do not. They don't even have a vending machine. The employee said because of Covid19 restrictions. I called nearby hotels after I learned this, and they assured me they still offer the Grab and Go breakfast. In addition, this hotel list free parking for BW rewards members on their website. They do not. They will charge you $5 a day. (However, they charged me $20 for two nights, that I'm still disputing) The charge will be on the last line, in fine print, of the document you sign when you check in. Be aware! The parking is very tight. The only good thing about this hotel is it's location to the ocean.

Planned a Mother's Day trip here. Arrived on time, got a parking spot in the garage checked in and was told the smoking fee in rooms is an extra $100 - $250 total. ( cool I only smoke outside anyways ) signed the pages for no pets, the fee for smoking, $5 parking fee in their garage. Get to the room .. clean, smells okay. The bed is so uncomfortable, feels like a sheet of plywood with a cover over it. Get unpacked & step outside to have a cigarette whoever worked at the front desk gives us a “warning” for smoking on our balcony, because someone complained they smelled smoke, but we were the only ones to get the “warning” ( the ladies below us & couple next to us were on their balconies smoking as well but they were not addressed) fine whatever. Website & papers in room mention WiFi & breakfast. WiFi went in and out all day and night, no breakfast provided and I wasn't told at the time of check in. I assumed like everywhere else it would be provided in some way shape or form (grab & go) for paying $150.... I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone to be honest.

We were supposed to go on a cruise out of San Pedro, but our cruise was cancelled and we found ourselves (along with 3500 others) trying to find a hotel for the evening. We came across the Best Western and decided to stop and see if they had availability. Lucky for us, they did. Parma (I hope I got her name right) checked us in and was very sympathetic about our ordeal. She checked us in quickly, offered info on local restaurants and provided excellent customer service. After a good nights sleep, we enjoyed the included breakfast (eggs, bacon, sausage, pastries) . We will stay here again when in Southern California.

This place is right along side busy Pacific Coast Highway. Our room was only a side walks distance from the street. It's an extremely busy street which means it is extremely noisy. I should have known better. Besides that the bathroom sink is NOT in the bathroom. It's in the sleeping area right along side of the bed. The remote for the TV did not work properly and the toilet seat would not stay up by itself. A bummer for a guy trying to take a leak. Nope, I won't be back.

The room itself was fine. I arrived at 1pm after traveling all morning. I stay in hotels about 100 nights per year for work, so not the first time I have arrived early. There was not a single car in the parking garage. When I tried to check in, the receptionist asked if I paid for early check in. I said no, but I am a diamond member and it's not TERRIBLY early. I wasn't aware of such a policy anyhow. He said, well check in isn't until 4. I responded, is there not a single room in the hotel clean? Again, zero cars there. He says no sorry nothing clean, I can let you check in at 2 unless you pay for early check in.... So.... If I pay, you DO have a room clean? Huh. Not the biggest deal in the world but for $150 a night, don't lie to customers. Either you have clean rooms or you don't. Also it was one hour before "early" check in. Not like I was asking for an additional night.

The front office representative was Prema. She was very efficient and friendly. She made us feel like we were staying in her home! Pleasant experience! Our room was quiet and very comfortable. It was clean and well attended by the housekeeping personnel. We will repeat.

Although there was no police tape or other obvious crime scene “tells”, I thought I recognized this hotel from numerous crime scene re-enactments. It's dingy and loud (literally feet off of the PCH), although the brunch was surprisingly good.

The outside appearance of the motel and especially the parking area is not that great, but the rooms are fine and so was breakfast. The motel is close to Sunset Beach, Huntington Beach, and the Bolsa Chica Reserve. The location is excellent, especially in the summer for beach goers.

This was our last night after spending 1 month in USA and what a lovely way to spend it. The decor is dated but in an authentic beachie 1980's way so don't change it!. Very clean plenty of pillows and extra blanket. Balcony suite with a view was large and relaxing (recommend you get one) Breakfast was best in-house one we had had. Bonus was safe off street parking and good restaurants within walking distance.

This place is well located. The staff is really nice. But the rooms are really out of date and half of the lights in our room was not functioning, the shower head doesn't move at all, the bed was ish comfy and there was a smell .... like if it was a smoking room even tho we requested a non smoking room. The breakfast was less than average. A lot of items were missing including coffee and fruits...

This hotel was great from the moment we pulled into the underground parking lot. It was easy to find a place to park and there was a very cool beach mural on the wall. We were greeted by an awesome staff member! The hotel was clean and our room was very nice.

Rooms need updating. This hotel is not near any good restaurants. My advice stay at Huntington Beach where there is much more going on. The beach is close but you need to cross a very busy Freeway to get to it.

We stayed 2 nights here and overall we were very happy. We had a suite which was fairly large. Despite the hotel being next to the PCH road noise wasn't an issue with our room. Room was clean. Only downside is the bed was a bit hard for our liking. Breakfast had a decent selection. Parking seemed to be limited but we didn't have any issue getting a space. Visited some local restaurants which were all good. Would stay here again if in the area.

The hotel was clean and close to the beach. There was a lot of road noise from PHC, but we were in a room on the other side of the hotel. There is minimal parking and the lot is a bit complicated. Overall it was fine for one night.

Best Western come through again! Super close to the beach with a great view of the Harbor. More than enough options for the breakfast and extremely friendly staff! Definitely a good experience, and I would definitely stay here again.

First off let me say this hotel is in the perfect location. Very nice area. Wasn't afraid to leave my car overnight. Felt very safe. Has an elevator from the parking area into the main lobby. Lots of great restaurants and shops within walking distance. The hotel itself was beautifully decorated and extremely clean. We had a room with two balconies, one overlooked the harbor, the other overlooked PCH with an ocean view. Comfortable room...felt very big. Nice furniture. Everything you would expect from a nice hotel. The FULL breakfast was great and included freshly made waffles, eggs, potatoes, fruit, croissants and good coffee. The staff was exceptional !!! I WILL be going back again.

After checking in, when I first turned on the TV it was set to go to Fox News channel, as I don't like this channel I changed the settings to start from another channel. The problem is that on all 4 days that I stayed at this hotel when I returned at night the TV setting was again changed to start from Fox News. This was very annoying and obviously done on purpose as all TVs in the hotel (breakfast room, gym) were also on Fox News. So obviously the management of this hotel is engaged on political activism with this attitude. When I complained at the reception the explanation given was clearly false as they tried to blame the cable company. Very disappointing, not coming back.

Great hotel close to the beach, offered views of the harbor and beach. Clean & neat, front desk staff were very pleasant. The Sunset Beach / Huntington Beach area is far better than beaches and areas to the north.

Excellent customer service and slept well the whole entire stay. The staff was so professional and very helpful. Will continue to recommend this particular location to all my friends and family. Keep up the great work!

We ended up here for a second stay for our annual girls trip. The first time we stayed here, it was absolutely amazing. The second time, although great for many reasons, fell short in experience from the year prior. The front desk management seemed less experienced and didn't seem to understand or want to help when we told them that we had two separate reservations. Our water was shut off one day and we felt like we were always having to pick up our room since the cleaning service was so late in the day. The breakfast was good and the location to the beach is perfect. This hotel does feel more like a small boutique hotel which we really like. Overall, we would probably stay here again.

Hotel was great, clean ,good service . My only complaint is eggs at breakfast are powdered and add a bit more breakfast items like bacon . Shower heads are high up and point directly at the back wall causing water on the floor ,otherwise everything else is good .

A completely no hassle stay. I was here on business, spending a lot of time driving and just wanted simplicity, which I got. Everything worked, parking was available. I didn't get a chance to investigate restaurants but it looked like there were some decent ones in the neightborhood.

The is a prime location between the harbor and beach. Plenty of places to walk to for dinner. I would highly recommend this hotel. The staff were extremely kind and helpful. They were great with my kids too

My wife and I stayed two nights at this little hotel near Bolsa Chica State Beach. I was attending a conference in Huntington Beach, but we didn't want to pay extra (especially for overnight valet parking) at the Hyatt Regency. My wife simply wanted to relax away from home, knit, read, and snooze. This hotel was perfect for all that. We had a room on the north side of the third floor with a small balcony overlooking a quiet cove in Huntington Harbour. The hotel is on Pacific Coast Highway (State Highway 1), a busy thoroughfare during the afternoon hours, so our room picked up some of the noise. Consequently, I would not recommend having a room on the south side facing the highway. However, other than for the afternoon hours, PCH gets pretty quiet. Our room was nicely appointed, with a comfortable king-sized bed, end tables, a writing desk, a large flatscreen TV (with cable), and a loveseat. Since the bathroom is fairly small, the sink is in the main room. The bathtub/shower worked well, with plenty of hot water. The room and bathroom were immaculately clean. A thermostat controls the HVAC system. We did not need to use the heater, but the A/C worked fine. The room had windows that open, as well as a screen door to the patio. The layout of the hotel is rather unusual. The first floor is a small parking structure for about a dozen vehicles. Large trucks, SUVs, RV, and high clearance vehicles have to park on PCH, which is free. The office, reception area, and the breakfast nook are located on the second floor, along with some guest rooms. The third floor is all guest rooms. There is a handy elevator that services all three floors. The free breakfast is serviceable, with standard fare. Fortunately, the hotel is located near several good restaurants. We particularly enjoyed the “Super Mex”, “Secret Spot”, and the tiny “Pocket Burger Shack” restaurants, all well within walking distance. Next time we are in the area, we may try “Sealegs” on Bolsa Chica State Beach or Romano Cucina north of the hotel. Both were highly recommended to us. We enjoyed our little stay at the Best Western Harbour Inn & Suites and we were reluctant to leave for home.

You can walk across the street to the beach. Plus, breakfast is delicious! The garage seemed safe, and they have elevators. There's a snack,aching and a 7/11 across the street. The rooms have microwaves and refrigerators.

Very friendly staff, right across the street from the beach, quick and easy check in/out. Variety of breakfast foods that weren't the absolute best but still good. Parking lot is tight so be mindful of that. Rooms were average and felt congested but not an issue if all you need is a place to sleep. Clean and well kept but furniture is somewhat dated. Well satisfied with my stay and the price I paid for.

When we first arrived I wasn't sure what to expect. It looked small on outside, but there were always plenty of parking, beautiful room. Staff was so friendly and kind. They went above and beyond making our stay great. The manager waived the parking fee because I'm a best western member. The price was great for being so close to beach. Every morning I got to have chocolate chips pancakes, which made my day. They also had eggs and sausage. Our room even had a jetted tub.I slept great every night! I loved the decor above the bed.

We really liked the suite--decor was nice and we had two balconies. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast was decent. However, we encountered a major problem during our stay. The thermostat for the heat in the parlor didn't work. We reported it, but the repairman never showed up for work during our stay so we had no heat in that room. It got cold at night--especially the tile floor in the vanity area. One of the TV remotes didn't work and we reported that. Were given new batteries and that didn't work so the clerk said he would come and check it out but he didn't. The evening clerk finally did so we finally had 2 that worked. (The 2 TVs were different brands so needed different remotes.) We also had random water leaks--we think from the toilet in the bathroom--but we didn't report that.

I love staying at the Best Western in Sunset Beach. We visited back in September for my boyfriend's birthday and we instantly knew we had to come back for mine in February. This time, we got what the staff called "the best room" and I couldn't agree more. We had everything we needed from a balcony with a view of the harbor to a very relaxing jetted tub, fridge and microwave and king-sized bed. Kayaking and incredibly tasty restaurants like Sunset Pizza and Pasta and Harry's Grill are within walking distance and add to the great experience of relaxing right across from beautiful Sunset Beach.

We chose this hotel as our place to crash the night before leaving on our Vow Renewal cruise. My husband is Diamond Elite at BW, so we were upgraded to a suite. Wish we'd arrived earlier in the day, as the suite was unbelievably nice! Great view of the harbor from the badroom balcony, great view of the street from the living room. Breakfast was hot and good. Parking could be tight if this hotel was booked, but we didn't have any problem finding a spot the night we arrived. Will definitely book this hotel the next time we're in the area!

The Best Western Harbour inn and Suites is located on the Pacific Coast Highway. It is a short walk to a long stretch of natural Beach on the Pacific Ocean. The Hotel has all the features needed with comfortable bedrooms and a good breakfast provided.

We stayed in two other hotels on our way to California and on the way back home. There was no comparison to our Best Western Harbour Inn and Suites stay. You get what you pay for with these other motels/hotels running close to $100.00 a night without any amenities or ambiance. You pay a little more, but the difference is huge in the overall experience. The BW staff was extremely friendly and attentive. Not once did we enter the lobby without being greeted warmly or asked how our travels were for the day and if we enjoyed the specific activity we had done that day. They were genuinely interested and we had lengthy chats with all of the staff including housekeeping who were also so friendly and accommodating. We stayed for three nights (adding the third night after canceling the other hotel because we did not want to leave). This is an older typical California style hotel on the main street in Sunset Beach with underground parking. It is situated on the edge of the harbor, yet, it was only a two block walk to the beach for morning sunrises and evening sunsets. We walked to restaurants for some meals and it conveniently had a 7-11 and liquor store across the street to meet your unexpected needs. Sitting on the patio on the harbor side was so relaxing and pleasant whether you were having cocktails on the patio, soaking up some sun, people watching or watching the cars going up and down PCH. Very entertaining and we really did not have any concept of time and just came and went, ate when we wanted, and took a drive down PCH in both directions for some adventure for the day. Ending each day in the Jacuzzi really helped to relax and unwind before bed. We feel that it was a top notch stay and we had the most comfortable bed and pillows compared to the other hotels we stayed at. It was definitely cleaner than other hotels on our travels and just a great overall vibe. We will definitely make this our annual anniversary stay in the future. Glad we picked it.

The garage entrance is inviting and parking no charge. The location and cost is spot on. Although the hotel is older, it is kept up well and very clean. I have stayed in a hotel down the street with ocean view and it was not nearly this nice nor was it clean.

Found the hotel room clean and cozy. Breakfast wasn't as good as we have had at other hotels. All and all worth the amount charged. Would consider staying again if we were to stay in that area again. We had to drive to long beach to find restaurants that were nicer

Closely nestled near the beach in walking distance of a variety of restaurants and shops we had a lovely stay here. Our experience certainly gave us a family feel, like a home away from home. We appreciate the idea of no pets reflecting the freshness and cleanliness when you walk in. The tropical decor sets an exotic vacation feeling. Having a view from the balcony, a comfortable bed gave us a restful night and the convenience of a microwave and fridge in the room made our stay memorable. The staff was pleasant willing to assist when we needed. Don't wait too late to partake in the exceptional and flavorful complimentary breakfast serving everything from waffles,fluffy scrambled eggs, tasty peppered potatoes, juicy sausage, fruit, yogurt, cereal, and a variety of coffee which was a highlight of our stay.

This property was fine for a trip to Orange County. The room was comfortable and the location is close to many beaches. There is no pool or hot tub or any outside seating area. I have stayed at other properties near the beach that had beach chairs and toys you could use and this one only had towels, which is a shame because it has a good location walking distance to the beach. Also this is not a touristy part of town so there aren't a lot of restaurants and shops to walk to.The employees are very nice and do make you feel welcome. For the right price I would say go ahead and stay here. Don't expect a resort experience but it makes a nice home base for a trip where you drive out every day.

A friend and I stayed at this Best Western for three nights. Rooms were clean and well equipped. Towels were clean and fluffy. The bed was comfortable but more firm than I usually find in most hotels. We missed the continental breakfast by about 30 mins one morning, but one of the staff members grabbed some bowls for us so we could at least have some cereal and grab a coffee - great service! If you're going to the beach, they have beach towels - just ask!!! Overall, the staff were friendly and accommodating. The location of this hotel is great for a relaxed beach visit, with some great restaurants close by. I'd stay here again.

Anita on Reception was fantastic, nothing is too much trouble and she is always cheerful and is a real credit to the company. The room was lovely, clean, tidy and extremely comfortable. The hotel is just across from the beach and is situated on a lovely harbour. The breakfast in the morning is very nice with a wide selection of choice. Lovely hotel and well worth a visit.

The staff was amazing and went above and beyond to take care of us. Anita, especially, stood out because of her hospitality, kind attitude and willingness to help. I'm still new to the process of checking into hotels and forgot to notify my bank I was traveling. Instead of turning us away and leaving us embarrassed, she made sure I knew all the right numbers to call to get everything handled so we could still enjoy our two-night stay. She even stayed after clocking out just to make sure we were good before she left. She was such a sweet woman! The king suite was very comfortable and there was plenty to do with restaurants, bars and the beach just steps away. The bed felt like a cloud and the balcony had a great view of both the harbor and PCH. Sam also made checking out easy and ended our vacation on a positive note. She was very nice and explained everything thoroughly when I had questions. The cleaning staff was also very sweet, always giving smiles and a hello when we passed in the halls. The breakfast bar ends a little early but is worth it and I'll make sure to get down there for some waffles next time! The wi-fi also worked great and we had no issues during our stay with internet. Overall, it was a great experience!

We was there for three nights. Bad things: The Hotel is not realy new. In the first room we get, the tv was not working and the Laguage service was broken. Then we get an other room and there was the Tablelight not working. But it dosen‘t matter for us. The Parkingspace is limited and a little tiny. God Things: The room is silent. No noise from the highway. Very friendly staff. The free wifi is fast. Big, clean rooms. Breakfast was good. Near to the beach. I recommend it and come again.

From the Staff to the Beautiful Clean Room our stay was exceptional. The View from our room was Awesome. The Room was very clean. The staff were all so very nice. Our bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was very good. One of the cleanest hotels I have stayed in. This is our second time staying here and we will be back again next year!

We really enjoyed our stay at BW Western Harbour! Came to see our kids who live right down the street! Staff was great! Short walk to the beach. Having a local transit bus stop nearby saved us a bunch on local site seeing! Example... a ride to Huntington Beach Pier $ 20.00 one way with Uber... $ 1.50 on the bus and that's round trip! We will definitely return again!

Hotel staff was friendly and very accommodating. I arrived at 11:30am, by 12pm they had a room cleaned for me. I would and will stay at this hotel again. Great location - right across the street from the beach!

Harbour Inn was a one week staying in the middle of a 21 day Coast to Coast bucket /birthday trip. We chose it for location to friends in Belmont Shore and Huntington Beach,and a chance to relax during a hectic travel schedule. Staff were friendly professional and very helpful, the room we chose was a balcony street view, not noisy, big comfy bed, few steps to the lobby with endless coffee and adequate free breakfast. Free secure parking was a bonus, Sunset Beach literally across the road, great local bar Brix, great food craft beer and good live bands. Laundry service across the street was a bonus as we had been travelling for 12 days. Loved the Hotel highly recommend.

Andrew was awesome! he was very sweet, I was pestering him for about two days prior to check in and he was always more than happy to help. Carmita was also amazing, she went out of her way to help me. The front desk clerk anita was horrible. She was very unprofessional and rude. I had an issue with the room, instead of apologizing she just talked over me.. I asked for a late check out, I thought she would be more understanding considering the situation I had with the room, she only gave me 30 extra minutes and then proceeded to tell me that housekeepers were going to come up to my room either way, it was extremely unprofessional. Thankfully carmita seen that I was struggling with my luggage, she even brought me a luggage cart and just left it by the door so I could load everything up, she was very patient. as I was walking out the door I heard the phone AGAIN! anita was calling tell me to leave. Anita needs some serious training. other than that everyone else was great (= I really enjoyed my stay.

I would give it a 3 + if possible. It is an older hotel which has been updated. The rooms were clean and comfortable with all the necessary amenities. However, we could not open our balcony slider as it is on a very busy street, hence lots of auto noise. It was fine with the door closed though. The continental breakfast was very nice with several choices of food and drink. The staff was very pleasant. Parking is under the hotel, but not a lot of spaces so some street parking was necessary

I stayed in this hotel for a family reunion in Huntington Beach. The location was convenient to my brother's home, where most family stayed, to the beach, and to a craft fair that happened that weekend. The hotel itself was clean and comfortable. I would recommend this Best Western.

My friend and I stayed at the Best Western Harbour Inn in Huntington Beach May 14-16th, 2018. Anita was working the front desk and was the only one we came in contact with coming and going. She was incredibly kind, friendly, professional, personable, and upbeat. We asked for recommendations for places to eat. She recommended Pelican Isle and Harbor House Café. She was spot on!! We liked the Pelican Isle so much we had lunch there both days. The Harbor House Café was also an excellent choice as the breakfast was great with large portions. Anita had the best customer service of any hotel staff that I've come in contact with. The beds were also very comfortable as we overslept on check out day!

Fun hotel at the beach. Very clean and well decorated. Excellent value. Nicely decorated and clean. One-night stay was too short. Free parking, strong connectivity and great breakfast service. Large room was very pleasant.

Stayed here for a family event and the stay was outstanding. The hotel itself, the service is all ex-par. Definitely will come back here again. Recommend that you stay here for an excellent experience.

We chose this Best Western because of its combination of price and nearness to the beach. We were not disappointed. Renting a room on the backside of the hotel facing the lagoon, we found it to be clean, comfortable, and mostly quiet. Some of what we liked most, though, was being able to walk to the beach. That was a major plus. Our only complaint (and it's minor) is that we weren't too thrilled with the water pressure or even the physical dimensions of the shower. Otherwise, five stars.

Wow, I cannot believe the good reviews! The only reason this place even gets 2 stars is because the front desk gal tried to be helpful. The underground parking is tight but if you're careful, doable, and its free, always a plus. The hotel is not a block and a half from the beach. No, its not. To access the beach, you must walk a couple blocks, cross a very busy highway (fortunately, there's a light!) and then walk a few more blocks. Certainly not a quick easy jaunt with toddlers or young children, strollers, etc. We were surprised at our room. Large and ok but the bathroom...I've enclosed a few photos.We were, well, surprised. It was a handicap accessible geriatric bathroom which we didn't need and I sure don't remember requesting! As you can see, there was an ugly stained shower chair, the shampoo dispenser in the shower is broken off (though they did leave mini travel hair conditioners on the sink, had to ask at the front desk for shampoo) and there was some weird watery liquid in the drain. Very unattractive downright GROSS bathroom. It was too late in the day to try to get another room so we decided to grin and bear it for the night. OOPS, the tv remote doesn't work! The accommodating desk gal spent a LONG time (too long, I finally told her to GO back to the desk as surely she had other customers or phone calls waiting) trying to get it work, finally we figured if we stood just so in a certain position, it would work. OOPS, the internet wifi keeps cutting out. You are in good shape for a minute or two, then you either get dropped or all my devices started popping with "Unsecured Network" warnings. In all fairness, the connection was better the next morning. OOPS, the vending machine in the garage doesn't work. Once again, the front desk gal comes to the rescue, this time with free bottles of water. An interesting highlight was when the front desk gal comes knocking on the door and anxiously inquires if the smoke detector is going off in our room, as some maid had reported. OOPS, no,, it was not. At least not in our room. Worst stay in a long time, that bathroom just had to be seen to be believed.

For a good, no frills hotel a block from the beach, you can't beat this. Nice and clean, no bugs or mildew or weird smells. I was worried that parking might be an issue, but there is a lot on the ground floor that isn't too difficult to maneuver, even with an SUV. Desk staff was friendly and helpful.

Super customer service, good location, harbor view rooms with jacuzzi suite was just the right honeymoon weekend. We loved how close it was to the beach. We loved our room with the harbor view. Thank you to all the staff, we will return to this little boutique hotel.

We spent 2 nights here, wished it could've been longer! 2 fantastic clerks, Annie and Anita..our room was spacious and very clean. We loved our balcony, breakfast was great! Already made reserv for AUG.

We had the great stay at the best western harbor inn & suites. Great location, right on PCH. 5 miles to Huntington pier. Extra large room, comfortable king bed and very quiet. The bathroom design is practical and convenient with large jet tub. The front desk ladies are very warm, friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good too. Superb value!

Enjoyed our stay here for 2 nights close to Huntington beach and away from busy downtown LA. Not much to look at from outside but inside was very clean, spacious rooms with very friendly front desk staff and breakfast lady. The rooms were spotlessly clean and comfy beds, clean sheets, towels and bathroom well kept. Carpet was fine despite showing signs of wear. Overall would return here if in the vicinity and will recommend as a good value location near the beaches. Thanks.

i booked this hotel for a stay from 2/19 - 2/23/2018. I had never been to the Sunset Beach area and so many hotels has such horrible reviews that I was worried I'd never find one on the budget provided by my company. The reviews for this hotel are spot on, the desk clerks are very courteous and helpful, maintenance is great and housekeeping is spectacular. I stayed in room 321 and had a problem with some kind of backup in the sink during my stay and alerted the front desk staff who immediately contacted maintenance to have it looked at, but in the mean time had the swiftly cleaned by housekeeping. I would definitely not hesitate to stay at this hotel again and am so glad I listened to the other reviews!! Pros: Location is convenient to Huntington Beach and only a block from Sunset Beach. Excellent staff, very clean, comfortable and spacious rooms, covered parking and nice workout facilities. Cons: Parking is a bit of a pain if you have anything larger than a compact car, area can seem a bit "shady" in the evening due to homeless/drunks but that is nothing the hotel can control. My bathroom could have used a bit of updating as the bottom of the tub was nearly worn through in places. Pillows were a bit thick for comfort.

We stayed here for a few nights over a cold weekend in February. Annie at the front desk was super friendly, helped us check-in and get settled, and gave great restaurant recommendations nearby. We felt very comfortable here, and would recommend Best Western Harbour Inn & Suites to anyone looking to stay in the area. Loved that you could cross the street and access Sunset beach! Fantastic value for families!

Annie and company were amazingly helpful, from info on nearby restaurants, shopping, BARS and water taxi schedules to tipsy late night arrivals. All did their utmost to make sure we had an extraordinary experience. We already have our reservations for next year.

Wow!!! This hotel and staff are amazing. Every staff member was polite and outgoing. Annie was phenomenal and made this stay the best yet. The hotel was great location, price point was spot on, free parking, breakfast, and WiFi. Will stay again. If you are looking to book just go ahead and do so. You will not regret it.

Very friendly staff, who made our stay great. Breakfast was continental, but waffles were good. Small hotel, close to the beach makes this location ideal for beach adventures. After long international flight it was great to relax here for a few days while we recovered from jet lag, and spend time with friends. Very comfortable room with Harbour views, clean and tidy and a good breakfast. Pleasant and helpful staff.

Picked this hotel because of proximity to beach. Great location. Staff was helpful. Free parking. Overall a great value. Will stay here again. Plenty of food and beach activities nearby. Best value was because of off-season.

The location is convenient and easy to find. The parking lot is the 1st level with the rest of the hotel on top of it, so it's very compact and fits a lot into the space it has. The rooms are comfortable and clean. I'd go out of my way to stay here again.

Booked our stay at the Best Western Sunset beach because of the location which was on the Harbour, however the beach was also convientlly located across the street. My friends had planned a Duffy boat ride through the Harbour with dancing and drinks. The entire weekend was a huge success.

I travel frequently to this area and this is the hotel I stay at. Every single staff member treats you like you are their only guest. They are very welcoming, they make sure you have what you need and that you will enjoy your stay with them. Rooms are very clean and roomy. Everything is easily accessible.

This hotel is about a 5 minute walk to the beach, just be careful crossing the street. Close to some fun local restaurants. I tried out King Neptunes and Turcs and enjoyed the atmosphere at both of them. Located on the Pacific Coast Highway, you have easy access to many places.

Excellent staff. Great Location. Room was well appointed. Breakfast options were limited for gluten-intolerant person. I opted for boiled egg and piece of fruit. Read the yogurt package and it was suspect. Vending machines were all out of order, so I had to bring bottled water in. Couldn't beat the location with private parking.

Great location! The beach right across the street was wonderful! Rooms were clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good, not a huge variety, but my family was happy with it. We plan on staying here again!

The hotel rooms were well decorated but had problems. The toilet would not flush. It took 2-3 flushes. The rooms on the road side were noisy. Parking was difficult and you needed to make 3 and 4 point turns to get out.

Easy to find, building very clean, wonderful check-in, very helpful. Room was very big and very comfortable and clean. I highly recommend this property. Easy parking and excellent location to fun things to do in Huntington Beach.

My wife and I were in So Cal to visit a sick relative and decided to stay at the Harbour Inn & Suites. Excellent service, the room as very clean and well maintained. We definitely plan to stay there again soon.

My first trip to Southern California for a wedding in Long Beach. We chose this place because it had a water view, was within budget, and balconies. Pros: - very comfy bedding/beds. Not too firm and not too soft. I forgot to ask what kind of mattresses they were using. - free parking under the hotel, very cool! - it's a small hotel, so not too far to walk from the elevator while lugging bags AND they have luggage carts as well, so that's awesome. - rooms had refrigerators and microwaves! - rooms had not only a bible, but the teachings of Buddha (thought that was kind of fun and interesting - all of the staff were ridiculously friendly and helpful. For real! It was like being in an alternate universe of friendliness. Cons: - breakfast is a bit lacking. It's standard fare, but as a non-dairy having person, having peanut butter would have been a nice touch for a bagel or toast. The breakfast PRO is that they do offer non-dairy milks (I wasn't in the mood for cereal, so I didn't ask what they had, sorry!) - no hot tub :( I didn't know when we booked it that they didn't have a hot tub. I like a nice long soak after a road trip.But, that was okay in the long run because at least the shower was hot Beach/Harbor: As it says in their name, they are the Harbour Inn, so the water views are of the marina, NOT the beach. However, the beach is about a block away. You can see it on the street view side of the hotel if you squint in between the buildings :)

Great location and room. Annie made us feel very welcome and made our stay really enjoyable. Huntington beach is less than a 10 minute drive and Sunset beach is just across the road. Sunset beach lives up to its namesake, having really picturesque sunsets, which was at around 7pm in August.

This hotel is a good value! The room was wonderful; clean, spacious and well appointed. It had a microwave and good sized fridge and coffee pot and hair dryer. The bed was comfortable. We both have bad backs and we didn't have a problem. The housekeeping staff did a great job. Everyone at the front desk was very helpful and very nice! Try it, you'll like it!

We booked for one night and when we arrived we booked for a second night and wished we could have stayed a week! Located about a block from the beach, and right next to the marina, location was excellent! Front Desk staff were amazing with their willingness to assist with answering questions about where to go in the community or to find a good place for dinner. The hotel is very small with 27 rooms. However don't let small deceive you with meeting your hotel needs. Parking is below the hotel on the first floor. An elevator or staircase is available to get to the second floor registration desk. Breakfast is served in the room next to the registration area. Rooms are a nice size with a good sitting area on the attached balcony. Location is excellent in relation to relaxing on the beach or the marina or going out for lunch or dinner. We will definitely stay at this hotel again!

My friends and I were traveling up the coast hitting different cities and we stayed here overnight. Doesn't look like much from the street, but we were pleasantly surprised by the rooms. The lady at the front desk was really nice and helpful!! It is just a short drive to the beach. I would recommend anyone in the area stay here.

We came to Huntington for a concert. I requested an early check-in, which the Best Western tried to accommodate. I requested the early check-in just hours before we arrived and they were still able to check us in an hour early. The rooms were clean, the beds were relatively comfortable, and the staff was helpful. The only we had was with the breakfast that was provided. My friends and I all have special dietary needs and we were unable to eat most of the foods provided.

Second time staying at this hotel. Both times stayed to attend family weddings. It was a good value for what we paid. Especially since the world surf championship was in town. Other hotels raised their rates. Very close walk to the beach. Restaurants, 7/11 and liquor store are across the street. Kayaking/paddle board rental right next door. Ask for the quiet side when you make your reservation. We had a view of the marina our first stay. This time they didn't have rooms with a view available, but we got one on the quiet side and it was quite large. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The room decor/furniture could use a bit of a refresh, but it was very clean. Overall I would recommend this hotel.

This is a very nice hotel. The room was big. There were many amenities: Coffeemaker, iron and board, big screen TV, good free wifi. We had a balcony, but it was overlooking busy Pacific Coast Hwy. It was noisy. There was a wall air-conditioner that shut off during the night. Leaving the sliding door open was not an option due to the noise. Big bathroom. Two queen beds. Pleasant breakfast room with the usual continental breakfast fare plus hard-boiled eggs. Free Parking is under the structure. I never had a problem finding a space even though the area was small. Walk across the street to the beach. Staff was very nice. Slightly over-priced.

We come here every year for our annual high school get together. This hotel is by far the best! We will stay here from now on because of its staff, its location, and for the comfort and cleanliness of the room.

Older hotel, but everything was clean, beds and sheets and pillows were nice. Towels were worn and some even had holes in them. My towels at home are way better. That would be my only real complaint. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. They made me feel right at home. I loved being able to sit out on the balcony of my room and enjoy the breeze coming off of the ocean.

Our family had three rooms for a family get-together. The hotel was perfect and the staff was extremely accommodating. I've stayed in five star hotels in my many travels, but the warm feeling of this one far surpasses others. It was a wonderful experience.

Awesome!!!!!!!! Easy, comfortable and fun. Low key and quiet rooms. Convenience for beaches & restaurants, very nice. Very friendly staff and the area around the Best Western was great. The local beaches in the area are great, but Sunset beach was the best to go and visit and just relax. When you are done just walk across the street and you can relax until it is time for more fun. I will be back as soon as I can.

Room wasnt clean, ceiling stained with Wine or mold. Told staff, they did not clean it. Couldnt move us to another room. Sofa bed not conducive for sleeping. Extremely unconfortable. Wont go there again.

We booked a harbor view & was not disappointed. The staff was very friendly & helpful. The breakfast was adequate for a continental breakfast. The room was spotless & the bed was comfortable. The parking was typical of a beach town. Tried to use the snack vending machine, but wouldn't accept $ or credit card. Beach was across the street so we could walk there. Yes, we would stay there again.

The location of this hotel is great! It's right off of PCH and close to all of the small towns along the coast. That is about all I would recommend for this hotel. The beds are planks and the bathrooms are from 1985. Large rooms with outdated everything except the TV. There are about 10 parking spots in a super cramped "lot" for the entire hotel. Since you're already spending so much, I would spend a little more to upgrade to a better hotel.

The wife and I are huge Best western fans , and on this trip to USA we actually stayed in 11 nights out of a 32 day tour , however whereas this small hotel is OK ! And the staff are great as they always are at best Western , we were very very disappointed that we were so far away from Huntington Beach ( especially as Best western do have hotels in the town which are quite rightly called Huntington Beach ) it was a drive every day on what can only be discribed a s avert very fast dangerous road to pull out on , why they don't call it Seaside Near Huntington Beach , so we it is highlighted as being away from the town , I don't know We were very disappointed as this was our last stop on a 6000 mile tour around 5 states , and just wanted to leave the car in the hotel car park and walk onto the beach and town for last 2/3 days to chill out before flying home , as yes seaside has a very nice beach but NOTHING else to offer REALY

The room was clean and the whirlpool bath amazing. Breakfast was not brilliant and if you expect to be anywhere near Huntington Beach you will be disappointed. However, it was cheaper than being at Huntington, we just didn't realise it was quite so far away (6 miles).

I always look forward to staying at this hotel when I am in the area. Awesome location and very helpful, friendly staff make it so easy to enjoy all the amenities the area offers. Close proximity to beach walks, stand up paddling and wonderful restaurants for dining just seems to create a wonderful experience in Sunset Beach.

After horrid experience down the road, Gary the night guy was soooo nice and helpful. It was great to have some compassion that late! The room was very clean, he brought us more towels right away! parking was ok, Balcony was lovely, the beds were really good, its a bit far to walk to other things but it was good and the owners the next morning at breakfast were so sweet!

We stayed with our toddler in a king room. The window was headed to the back and so It was very quiet and recommend if you have a light sleep. Because there is a private property in the back of the BW the room was pretty dark und you are just watching the facade of this next property. The room was clean and had a fridge, a microwave and a coffee machine. The king bed was a bit hard but we like it this way. The shower is a bit outdated but it was acceptable. The hotel offers a complimentary breakfast from 06.30 to 09.30. They don't have a kitchen and so they can't serve scrambled eggs or bacon. But they have a good choice of cereal, bakery, waffles, coffee, tee and several juices. The "breakfast lady" was wonderful and caring. The spacious parking lot is first floor so the check in is on second floor. Next to the hotel, just over the PCH you can find the sunset beach. Great location to chill, jogg or surf. On the parking lot at sunset beach is a great playground. There we met lots of wonderful and relaxed people with their child. In summary this is a good place to arrive in LA after a long flight. Nice staff and a quite area next to a beach.

Staff was very welcoming and helpful. They gave us the suite even though we paid for the 2 queens room because it was available. It had a view on the harbor and a in-room jacuzzi... apart from that the furniture in the room was a little old, but clean and in good shape.

This hotel is perfect for a budget hotel in Huntington Beach. You get what you pay for?! Staff were friendly & helpful.....It was basic, but clean & included breakfast albeit a small selection. It is approx 2 miles from Huntington Beach & easy to get to - We visited Hollywood/LA also whilst staying here which was an easy commute. Would definitely use again if we returned.

This was the absolute best deal I could find in Huntington/Newport in July. This was just a quick stop, not really vacation. It was a regular Best Western. It was clean, easy to access, and close to the beach. Staff was very very friendly! If I was trying to go on a vacation, go to the beach and so on, I would not stay here. It was good for a one night stay just driving through but thats it.

The harbor was a scum filled pond with beached boats and trash. The view was hideous. The décor was dated and the colors were dark and various shades of rust and yellow; not a beach motif at all. The pillows were lumpy and the area seemed a little run down. A fair price for that room in my opinion would have been about 69 -70 dollars per night. Breakfast buffet did not look appealing and I chose to eat out.

This hotel feels like a small, family operated hotel. It is adorable. The location is very cool, on the harbor. It is on the PCH, so I would ask for a room with a view of the the Harbor. We had no street noise in our room. I can't remember the young man that was working the front desk, unfortunately. But he made our stay! He was so personable and treated us like we were in a 5-Start resort. We would come back again, just for the service. But the room was huge, and clean. I know we got one of the biggest rooms, so I don't think they are all that size, but are probably just as clean. Overall an adorable town, and a great hotel for a great price. I would definitely stay again. Way to go BW! This is actually the second happy review I have done for a BW in the past couple of weeks. May be my new chain!

this hotel is off the beaten path but close enough to restaurants, convenience store when in for the night, beach across the street. Huntington is a close drive away with many places to visit and see. Walking the beach or pier followed by shopping and dining. We totally enjoyed our stay.

Great place to stay. Clean spacious room included a coffee maker and refrigerator and a good internet connection. Continental breakfast is served in a spacious dining room with a view. It's just steps away from Huntington Harbour and the beach. Since the hotel is on PCH, one may hear traffic during the day, but it is quiet in the evenings. A good value for the $ spent.

a great place to stay, have nothing special to complain about, maybe it was full at the breakfast table, if I did not eat very early or very late. and internet disconnected often, maybe the staff could speak English a little slower :-)

The hotel is across the street from beach-however you do have to cross Pacific Coast Hwy. to get to it. The staff here is great the room was clean and the breakfast is the typical-ceral, waffles, pastry items, toast, coffee. It was perfect for what we wanted as we were in town for a wedding.

My girlfriend and I had a great time here at Sunset Beach. The staff was great, recommended a few local spots to eat and drink, the beach was maybe a few hundred yards away, went kayaking biking and more... would come back again for sure!

This was a very pleasant stay. Very small motel but it had all the amenities for a brief visit to the area. Unusual arrangement since the lobby was on the 2nd floor, just had to adjust. Not pricey for the area. Clean and quiet. Air conditioner was pretty noisy though, if you are used to the humidity you can just open window.

We had a great stay here, only 1 night. We were greeted by a very frustrating fly man who gave us tips for dinner and a map with how to get to the beach. The bed is firm but still very comfortable. The bathroom basin is in the room and shampoo, conditioner, body wash is in dispensers in the shower. The shower head is not adjustable and in our room (206) is slightly pointed at the wall. Free wifi that's ok, not too good for watching Netflix. Good little parking area. There's a complimentary continental breakfast which is pretty good, lots of cereals, oats, noodle cups, bagels, waffles, nice yoghurts and fruit. The power cut while we were in there, but literally everything was going at once - tv, waffle iron, toaster, microwave, fridge, water cooler, juice machine...so yeah I'm not surprised it got overloaded.

Great, low key place to stay in the Huntington Beach area. Located at the Sunset Beach end of HB it's away from the hustle and bustle of the tourist hotels. It has been there awhile and when we first arrived we were not to sure about our choice. Turned out fantastic! Friendly staff, clean facility, nice continental breakfast and free parking. Great value, I would highly recommend this place.

Now that I've been to Sunset Beach, I am in love. Super great food, quiet beach, and amazing access to all that from the front door. Upon arrival we were greeted by super friendly staff who answered all our questions and took the time to help us get comfortable and even provided beach towels! The breakfast was really good as well with fresh fruit, yogurt, granola, toast, cereal and waffles. Good coffee too! Highly recommend this spot.

This hotel is in Sunset Beach, right on the Pacific Coast Highway, and only two blocks from the beach. The area boasts several restaurants and shops that trade in beach stuff, plus rentals for watersports. The hotel is great, offering clean, spacious rooms and a breakfast. A great place at a reasonable price for you to stop and enjoy the beach life.

Very clean hotel and super helpful staff. Just a short walk to the beach. It's an older hotel, but just as nice as the newer ones we stayed at. You can't beat the price. The free breakfast was an added plus.

Stayed here for one night as we were travelling through. The hotel is small with not many rooms but our room was fab. Great size with fridge microwave huge bed and pull out bed. Staff are very friendly and the beach is just over the road - though a busy road to cross you can walk up the road to the traffic lights and cross with the man ! Beach is beautiful and a few restaurants to dine at nearby! We tried SAS which is to the right as you come out of the hotel! It was lovely food! There is a 7/11 also across the road !!

Booked this very close to travel time, researched location, liked the slighlty away from downtown huntington aspect. parking included and on first level...we had room with a very nice balcony overlooking the harbour, Charming because the harbour is all private homes form charming to quite grande and it was christmas time, so lights and decor was abundant. We had a situation in our room with some personal items being gone, day one of stay. Of Course we called and went down to Front desk and I was quite upset. letting front desk know, they claimed no knowledge, they magically showed up after 2 days. These were medications, which created a long distance pain in the %#@one day spent on phone with Dr. CVS trips etc. Not the best experience needless to say- cannot say it was 100% hotel's fault rather we believed a cleaning person gone rogue. The room itself was nice, odd that sink and vanity are in main room, toilet, shower through door. Lots of space and loved the balcony which is only on harbour side and limited to 5-7 rooms total? Off beaten track as Huntington proper is a few miles away.

We had a nice large room which felt like a suite with a couch. Desk fridge and microwave. The extra large king bed was wonderful. The hotel staff were all most friendly and helpful. The hotel and room are very clean and comfortable.

This is a small hotel with no pool, but next to Huntington Harbor and a couple of blocks from the beach. Parking is underground and if you have a large truck it can be a challenge trying to park. There is a 7-11 across the street and many restaurants along Pacific Coast Hwy, but no fast food places nearby except for a Jack in the box. One can easily bike over to Bolsa Chica State Beach for a long bike ride along the sand and ocean. The bike trial will take you to Huntington Beach and all the way to Newport Beach. There are also kayak and stand up paddle boards that can be rented right next to the hotel. The staff here at this hotel are wonderful.

The hotel was small and it suited our needs - it was clean and the bed was comfortable. The staff was friendly. We would definitely stay again. We had a reunion in Huntington Beach and this hotel was close and the price was great.

My wife and I picked this as a stop between here and there. This hotel was great for that, but we would've gladly stayed here for a week. The hotel was clean and had very large rooms. It was right across the street from the ocean. It's not right in Huntington Beach proper, but just a bit north. Would stay here again.

I don't know if we got a bad room or what, but I can't say our room was up to BW standards based on the other two BWs we stayed at that same week in San Diego and Las Vegas. All these glowing reviews make me wonder where we stayed, as this place isn't that great. The room had broken items (phone, light switch), missing any bath towels, even a sink plug that was unscrewed and from a different "finish" - antique bronze for the plunger in the sink with polished chrome for all the other parts on the sink. I should not have to screw in your sink plunger for you, BW! The room felt very used and a new bed cover does not change that. I was truly disappointed with this hotel.

We got a suite which was very spacious, had an ocean view & harbour (2 balconies) it also had two large T.Vs, microwave, fridge And coffee machine. It had two separate rooms which I loved, although one room had a bed and the other a pull out sofa bed which not as comfortable as the bed. The views were great, front desk help was excellent also! The only bad part was the hallway had a musty smell, and the key wouldn't open our door so we had to change it. Other than that I thought the coffee was excellent as well as the breakfast! The staffs kindness & willingness to Always help was awesome. There are also several restaurants in walking distance, parking is Free! I would stay here again :) !

Small hotel, perfect location, right across the highway from Sunset Beach. Staff was so friendly & helpful. Simple, clean rooms. We had a coffee maker, fridge & microwave which made it nice. Quiet with the windows closed even though it was a busy road right outside. The breakfast was continental, but well stocked & the area was clean. There are no outdoor areas to enjoy at this property, but it was perfect for our stay. Would come back in the future!

The location was good for us as we were meeting friends at Brix which is nearby. The hotel is a little worse for wear and showing its age. The breakfast room offering was probably on the bottom end of all the BW's we have stayed at, but what really ticked me off was when I asked for a late check our (and even offered to pay extra) First guy at the desk told me "yeah, should not be a problem, we are quiet on Monday night. Next guy that came on shift said "cant be done, we are fully booked". So I checked online, and plenty of rooms were available. Guys, if you are going to tell lies, at least lets all get on the same page. Anyway, it was an average/below experience.

Stayed here for 5 nights recently. Warm welcome from reception staff who were happy to supply lots of helpful information about local bars and restaurants. Rooms were a good size and the bed was super comfy. Clean and tidy but a little dated compared to what we are used to. Situated on Sunset Beach, we found this hotel was possibly a little further away from the hustle and bustle of Huntington and Newport beaches but served as a great base. Lots of great bars along the main road with good service and food on offer. Tips: visit the beach which is a very short walk away and watch the sunset - just beautiful. Be prepared to run like hell to get across a very busy very wide road to get to the beach. Roadside rooms can be noisy but did not affect our stay.

To be honest, I haven't stayed at a BW in a long time. I travel a lot for work and always stay at other chains. A colleague I was traveling with likes BW for the value, and this one in Huntington Beach looked decent. The good: Huge rooms Comfy bed Friendly staff Comfy room with good wall air conditioner Nice balcony The odd: My remote control came with cover/sleeve that said "Fresh remote" My room #324 overlooked a private apartment about fifteen away. Poor people have no privacy The bad: Very little, but don't plan on a good breakfast. Location is weird, but it is convenient once you are able to make it out onto the PCH (tons of traffic) Overall: Definitely recommend! Don't expect a beachfront hotel, but you're not paying for one either. It is clean, great rooms, and staff is wonderful!

I like that this hotel was located at Sunset beach. We only had to cross one kind of busy street to get to the beach. We drove to Newport beach and I-5 was really busy in that area. I was so glad that we stayed at Sunset beach where the traffic wasn't so bad. We were right next to Huntington beach. Management was very helpful! The guest computer wasn't working so the man behind the service desk let me email my ticket order to him and he printed them out for me. The breakfast was okay. They had boiled eggs, cereal, fruit and you could make your own waffles. The room was clean and I loved the colors! I liked the crown molding in the room. The room was very spacious plus we had a balcony, which I loved! I sat out on the balcony every night. It was worth the money.

I have stayed at quite a few hotels, many more expensive, and these folks compete with the best of them. Sunny is a good manager, evidenced by his choice of staff. They have all been very courteous, accommodating, pleasant and professional. Highly recommended.

My husband and I went on a road trip from Phoenix, AZ up through California, Oregon, and Washington over the last two weeks. This was our first stop! My formula for finding a hotel in the city/town we were looking at stopping in was first price point, then good reviews. We stayed at many hotels, some great, some rather questionable. This one was great! First of all, it's directly across the street from Sunset Beach. HUGE bonus, especially considering the price. It's friendly, clean, easy to get to, free parking, and has spacious rooms. What more can you ask for?! The Secret Spot is within walking distance (advertised on your room key holder, but we had already researched it). Highly recommend it for breakfast or lunch, vegetarian and vegan options galore! We probably wouldn't stay here again, only because we want to bring our dog next time.

Enjoyed our stay at the Harbour Inn. The staff was polite and helpful, the location was excellent (next to kayak rentals in the harbor, a few good restaurants, Sunset Beach, running path), and our stay was affordable. Parking is free and so is breakfast. We had a room overlooking Hwy 1, so it was rather noisy during all times of the day/ night, but that is what you get if you want to be close to the ocean, I suppose. The rooms are big, the bed comfy, the bathroom was somewhat outdated.

This hotel was perfect for my December 2015 visit to family and friends in the LB/Los Alamitos area. Location could have not been better. The staff was helpful and friendly. This would be my first choice to book on any return visits to southern california.

Went there for quick weekend getaway, we had a warm friendly greeting and check in was a breeze, it is just across the street from the beach, great access to a walking and biking trail. Had a hot tub in my room with an amazing view that I really enjoyed. There isn't much of a choice for breakfast and coffee wasn't that great and we had noisy neighbors but I would stay there again for the price the large rooms and location.

Hotel staff is vwey friendly. Have to give them 5/5. Hotel room is nice and cozy. There is everything you need. Breakfast is awesome if you compare to other american hotel breakfasts. There is also some fruits and proteins (milk, eggs). Good selection of coffee and cereals. Also some good juices. Wifi is working. Hotel has its own parking lot and thats is great thing. Only minus is that hotel is next to highway and lot of noise coming to room from the street. But if you have your earplugs on at night you can manage. Disturb little if you are sensitive in sleeping.

The staff couldn't do enough for us. So helpful. The room was massive, and spotless. Cleaned every day. On the Pacific Highway at Sunset Beach, you can walk to the beach in 5 minutes. There are several restaurants within minutes walk away. This was excellent value for money as well. Enjoyed staying here.

Very nice place and they accommodated our group very well. Close to great eateries and beach. Had a good breakfast and the staff made the stay very nice. Very nice place to stay and get away for sure.

We were greeted by Micheal.. Such a friendly guy. Offered great area information. Always asked about our day when we returned.. The Lobby, breakfast room, Our room were very nicely updated. The beds are very comfy. They offer larger hotel rooms than others I have been in. Very clean facility. Parking comes with room and is under the hotel. Larger vehicles may have to park on street. Location is Great! One block from ocean-beach. The Continental breakfast was more than I expected. Waffles, bagels, cereal, toast, yogurt, Hard-boiled eggs. Juices, coffees. The breakfast hostess kept every thing clean and filled. There is a small workout room in the building (which we did not use, so cannot comment on equipment) One thing we encountered was the outlets by our sink were loose and probably should be replaced and the WiFi was slow - but we were not there for the WIFI... Next visit to HB we will be staying here....

This is our choice hotel when we visit the Huntington Beach/Sunset Beach area. We have stayed at this hotel several times, a couple of times prior to the new ownership and about 3 since the acquisition. Though it was a nice experience the first 2 times, the hotel needed some updating. Since the change in ownership there have been several updates and improvements on amenities. The location is great with the only drawback being traffic noise from the PCH. But one must expect tradeoffs. The Breakfast is good, but could be better; and we were told that one of the goal is to modernize the serving area including upgrading the breakfast offerings to include more hot breakfast options such as eggs, sausage, bacon, biscuits and gravy along with the already available, and popular, waffle iron. We're looking forward to this. Another reason we love this location is the friendliness and helpfulness of the staffs. They are always ready to provide directions, suggest recreational or dining destinations and help in any way they can. On our most recent visit we were given coupons for the Aquarium just because we mentioned we were going there. This was a very nice and unexpected gesture. I very much recommend this hotel.

This is a very nice place to stay for the right price. The bed was a little too firm for me, but other than that I have no complaints. I loved that it was so close to the beach. The breakfast was a typical continental breakfast. The rooms were clean and the staff was very nice.

The room was very clean and the king bed comfortable. If you are a light sleeper, ask for a room not on the highway. It did not bother my husband but I started to hear the traffic fairly early. Otherwise very good place to stay. Breakfast was plentiful with waffles, hard boiled eggs, smoothies, etc. Across the road is the beach and the hotel had free parking. Cleanliness, parking and continental breakfast was what we wanted and this Best Western had that. We would stay there again.

This hotel is very small but, nice. It's right on the PCH but our room was quiet. The room was large and clean. Beds are comfortable. Continental breakfast is good and the dining room is really cute. The staff is great. Close to walk to many restaurants.

Rates on Sunday were much higher than they were on Friday and Saturday, which normally at other hotels a Sunday through Thursday rate is lower. When we inquired about it, the desk clerk basically said there was nothing they could do about it!

My husband and I were pleasantly surprised by how beautiful the scenery was of the marina. The hotel room was spotless and everyone was kind. The location is great and the community was very quite. We will definitely stay here again.

First the good things: The room was nice, clean and the spa tub was a plus. Now for the other stuff: For some reason the TV had two remotes, one for the cable box and one for the flat screen. The cable box had to be reset to the proper "mode" each time you turned it on (Got a "No Signal" box) and then when you turned on the TV, you actually had to stand to the side of the screen for the channels to change. They really need a cable guy to sync the remotes so a guest doesn't have to be so techy! Now for the front desk: We booked online and prepaid for our room, so check in was easy. However, when we checked out the next day, the Desk Clerk was very confused and couldn't produce a receipt, so he said he would "mail" it. Two hours later when we got home, there was an email receipt with our name and address but a totally different credit card and amount! We immediately called the hotel, got the same guy, who said we had to wait until Monday (this was Sat) so he could go through the transactions. This was with no apology. Monday came and went and when we called on Tuesday, another person told us that the clerk made a mistake and sent us the receipt for the booking company, who apparently use a different credit card to pay them. Anytime money is involved, it is stressful and the hotel didn't do much to alleviate the problem.

Even with free WiFi, this is not a business hotel. However, for an individual or family get-away, it's well priced, in a location with easy access to beach, restaurants and other attractions, clean and has a very friendly staff. Complimentary breakfast is bountiful, even though I would have appreciated a dairy free "milk" and peanut butter (but not sure peanut butter can be provided in CA.)

We were in town to visit family. The hotel was clean, beds were comfortable and we were within walking distance of the beach. A very nice place to stay. Parking was very tight which was the only concern for me.

Excellent Value & Service, location was a 10. My family was visiting from out of town and was delighted to stay there. I would definately recommend this hotel for friends and family! Walking to various beaches, restaurants and bars was a breeze. A car would not be necessary to dine out and have a good time.

This hotel was like a Boutique style hotel, with the staff being respectful and accommodating. I would recommend this Hotel to all my friends and colleges. I cant say enough about the friendly staff . and how quiet the maid staff was. The location was perfect for the closeness to the beach as well as shopping and good restaurants.

I was here for one night in December 2015. The staff was very friendly and tried to be accommodating. I asked for a room facing the harbour instead of the street and they gave me one where, from the window, I could see both the harbour and the street. The only thing that was a bit irritating is that I know the two rooms that were next to me and that fully faced the harbour were empty. I wish that they had put me in one of those instead BUT it could be because I booked the room online and got a good deal. Those rooms may have been suites or something nicer. The room itself was clean and nicely decorated. The television had many cable channels and of course movies that you could pay for but no premium channels such as HBO. Having breakfast in the morning was really nice. Waffles (you make yourself), breads, yogurt, cereal, fruit, juice, milk, coffee, etc. The room also had a refrigerator and a microwave. I thought it was a good deal and I would stay here again. Oh! And free parking!! That was also an added benefit.

The rooms are a bit dated but clean. The rooms open directly to the outside. I prefer hallways...but that's just me. We booked ahead 2 nights but only needed to stay one night. The desk was nice enough to refund the 2nd night when they were under no obligation to do so. Thank you.

THE GOOD: We have stayed at this Best Western before. It is clean and quiet. The person at the registration desk is very nice. He has a very good attitude. THE BAD: The pillows are terrible. They are totally lumpy and it does affect your sleep. The decor is drab and rather dark. It could use some updating.

what a find! I will definitely stay here again on any return trips to southern California. I was looking for an easy to access place (and did not want to pay extra for parking) in the loos Alamitos/seal beach area. this hotel was perfect. super friendly staff and charming small hotel.

It was sooo nice when we arrived. First of all the lobby is on the second floor which I loved. Then when walking to our rooms, all the door where open to the rooms like a bed and breakfast. Our room swere gorgeous and so comfortable i wish I had spent my whole trip to LA here.

Used for a one night stop over as down in Orange for business. Unlike the Renaissance LAX it has shower gel, shampoo and conditioner. Considering the cost of other hotels ( gym , bar, etc) this is perfect for a short stop over. harbour view lovely, rooms tired but very clean. If you don't want to stay in your room all day then this will work.

Love this hotel, free parking under hotel, perfect to go to the beach and shopping is about 2 miles. Lots of thing to do around and near to hotel. Just next to hotel you can rent surfboards and little boats. Rooms where clean

the breakfast offered had very little variety. Could be improved upon greatly. We ate at local resturants instead. the hotel is located very close to the beach and is a short walk to see the ocean. Beds were confortable and the room was clean.

This was a very good choice in the area. The room was comfortable and quiet. There was underground parking and a decent breakfast. There is a lot to do in the area and it's a very convenient location for getting around Orange County. My daughter and I were very comfortable there.

Rooms were very comfortable, but right on the Pacific Coast Highway. Literally! Very loud during the day and does quiet down in the middle of the night nice. Having a microwave and small refrigerator in the room is a plus. Good free breakfast too!

This place is gorgeous. Right across the street from the beach. Nice breakfast included in price. Clean hotel with fitness center. My room was large with a balcony and super comfortable bed. Parking was included. I would definitely stay at this hotel again if I was in the area.

This hotel is in a prime location to the beach and some nice entertainment. It is 30 minutes to orange outlets and walking distance to sunset beach. it was an excellent choice. Clean and friendly. I'd definitely stay here again.

This is a very small hotel in a Sunset Beach. There is free parking, and we have no problem getting a spot, but I suppose it could be an issue since it was limited. There are signal lights to cross PCH, but if you just want to go directly across (where the 7-11 is) you'll probably find it inconvenient to have to get to one of the lights. Sunset Beach is between Huntington Beach and Seal Beach which both offer many shops and restaurants. However, there isn't much in Sunset Beach, so if you want to walk anywhere from the hotel there isn't much (there are a few). Right next door you can rent a kayak or stand up paddle board and cruise around Huntington Harbor. Keep in mind if you want to spend time at the beach there appeared to be no public facilities on Sunset Beach (though there were lifeguards). But not too far south is Bolsa Chica beach with facilities and fire pits. The room was fine. Nothing fancy but it was clean, comfortable and large. Breakfast was very pleasant. Offerings included danish, muffins, yogurt, make your own waffles, and a variety of cereals. And there was no crowd which was really nice!

Very nice, updated, older hotel with good location. Free parking on first floor. Breakfast included. Rooms on second and third floor. Right on PCH, but back room (202) was quiet. 7-Eleven across the street. Sunset Beach is also across the street. 3.5 miles to Seal Beach.

This hotel is across the street from the beach. Major highway but there are crossing lights. There is paddle boarding rental next door. Beds are comfortable and rooms clean but the place could use some refreshment. Breakfast comes w the room. Basic pastries, some fruit, cereal. There is a small workout room. Equipment is old. However, there is a lovely walkway along the beach. Had a room with patio and view of canal. Overall nice place to stay. About 6 miles from downtown Huntington beach

We wanted to stay somewhere a little less crowded and Sunset Beach was the perfect fit. The hotel lobby was clean and the front desk staff was helpful enough. The guest rooms, we had two, were bright and clean, but the one was quite noisy on PCH. Our bathroom was a mixture of about three different styles and the shower head control ring fell off while we were using the shower. The rooms seemed a little dated. Breakfast is included with your room. However, if you want to eat anything other than carbs you will have to go elsewhere.
