"Lack of respect for the guests."

I have been there on company meeting and stayed for 2 nights in the hotel (5 persons). Rooms: with the view on the monastery internal area, are ok as for 3* hotel. Clean but no AC. Windows in bad shape, very difficult to open (getting stuck), low external noise canceling. Restaurant: medium quality of coffee break (example: you need to ask to get refill or clean / fill the coffee machine) lunch: so, so , dinner: good food a'la carte. SPA: New, fresh and clean area with saunas and swimming pool. very slippery floor, not all pools fully functional (cold water pool was supposed to have 8 degrees water, reality ... over 30 degrees), water massage devices at the side of the main pool dangerous for health due to extraordinary high water pressure (painful) The whole stay has been destroyed by teambuilding parties ending up with discos and sleep-killing loud music till 04:00-05:00 in the internal hotel green area just opposite our windows. No warning has been given about plans for night disco parties prior to the booking. At the arrival, we have got an info that during first day the party is going to be finished latest at 24:00 (ended close to 04:00). During the second day another party was supposed to end also at 24:00 - disco party has ended at around 04:00. There has been no reaction from the reception after the comment at 02:30. She has directed us to the Manager which will be in the morning. At our departure the Manager has been only "Very Sorry" and she "had not expected parties to last so long" Who manages the hotel then ?. ...and I have not expected to sleep 6 hrs total during two nights. The hotel belongs to Best Western Group (Best Western Plus) and I think international standards of quiet hours are known (between 22:00-06:00) In case one knows or expects there will be bigger party (possible in such places) the reservation clerk shall inform about it to give the choice to change the place for the stay or at least provide rooms which are not facing the night event but are potentially far from it and could let other guests to rest during the night (other side of the corridor would be enough). This kind of approach is the lack of respect for the guest and even the best SPA zone ritual would not be pleasant enough to wash the bad mood from 2 sleepless nights.

The hotel is organised in an historical Cistercian monaster. It is simply arranged without tacky decor but it is convenient, atmospheric and provides every comfort, that a guest may expect of the fine hotel. Parking is close to the hotel, breakfast are diverse and fresh. Great place for a family Christmas trip.

"a special place"

This hotel was the perfect spot to relax after a day of kayaking on the (also lovely) river. The hotel was surprisingly special, with a medieval church and grounds next to the hotel, which is a converted monastery. The desk staff were friendly, the restaurant was good and all in all it was a great stay.

"Beautiful place"

I stayed there for one night. The place is really beautiful, if you like the old style. The rooms are very basic and is only 3 star. The dinner was good and with the place gives it a small 4 The breakfast was ok, I missed a normally yogurt and not juice from an automat

"Beautiful hotel, wonderful setting."

This a beautiful hotel in a stunning location. The staff were brilliant, and restaurant fab and lots to do in the surrounding area. I wish we could have stayed longer. It's also very atmospheric with some sort of gregorian chant being played, very very quietly, in the corridors. It's very clean and the staff work really hard. I would love to come back here at some pint in the future.

"Excellent wedding dinner!!"

A great hotel, and above all great service. Special thanks to Mrs. Renata Karbownik for great help in organizing our wedding party, and also for Natalia for great service and help during these few days. I sincerely recommend it !! The kitchen is also excellent, beautiful surroundings and facilities for everyone. Thank you very much.

Absolutely disgraceful . Would never recommend this hotel to anyone. EVERYTHING WAS terrible from disgusting breakfast to aload of drunk langers running around the hotel screaming all night. There are party's all week long till 3am you won't sleep all week trust me.

"Its not a family hotel"

1
User 15/06/2018

Its not an ideal place if you are visiting with a family. The music was blurring all night and day so we couldnt get any sleep. The place caters for staff parties and weddings and even though its advertised as " family friendly" its really not. Unless u dont mind drunk people coming to your breakfast table and people shouting and slamming the door all night. Id never stay here again.

"Excellent with minor issues..."

If you are looking for an affordable SPA close to Warszawa / Łódź -- this is definitely the place worth considering / checking out... They are in a long-term process of upgrading and renovating the place, so some thing are still a bit from the old times... They offer nice packages and you can negotiate what you will have in the package -- if you contact them directly and talk what you like and what you do not need... Ask for Ms. Renata -- she is extremely helpful. Not everything is perfect, but other things make up for: - rooms could use more sound-proof doors... sounds can be heard "both ways" ;-) - systematic control of facility -- to make sure that small issues -- like paint peeling off a window -- are fixed immediately... (there are no big issues, but small ones can put a dent in a perfect experience). - chef needs to be sent to more training -- dishes are uneven in quality... Note that in the late Fall the swimming pool will be renovated -- better check this... Nevertheless, I am DEFINITELY planning to go back to the hotel and to the SPA!!!!

"Comfortable hotel with interesting interior and tasty food"

I stayed here in November for a company event. The place is amazing- rooms being cozy, comfortable and clean, all furnished tastefully, well equipped. Bathrooms also very clean. Food was great, all of it, and general management of an event on a hotel side as well. The thing that needs improvement are pool and spa facilities, however the renovation is scheduled. The only two downsides were ridiculously thin doors, and the fact that as being a rather large group we were denied additional cards to our rooms.

"Interesting for history lovers - nice for every tourist"

The Hotel is located in Sulejow Cistercian Abbey (listed as a Historian Monument) one of the best preserved Cistercian Abbeys in Poland. What to expect from the hotel? Nice (not very spacious) rooms. simple , well designed - apart that they are not very well isolated so you can hear perfectly all your neighbors and what is going on on the corridors. The service is super nice, ready to help you all the time. The restaurant confused me a bit. I have ordered a beef tatar to the room for lunch and it was great ! Tasty, big portion , very well served. In the evening I took a part at organized dinner and food was not something to be amazed with. I liked a local beer (they make it in Podklasztorze) So my total score is 4 (out of 5) taking into account all complex - including little SPA. Place to relax.

"A pretty place to visit"

User 26/05/2017

My visit there took place many months ago, yet from what I remember, my stay was quite entertaining and peaceful, despite capricious weather. The building itself is quite nice and has an interesting architecture. Its surroundings are mostly green and romantic. Not everything was perfect, though. In my opinion, the area could have been better taken care of. More attractions could have been provided. To sum up, I hope that now everything is going even better than it was during my visit and that the place is flourishing.

"Great hotel for families"

5
Gryzelda, Melbourne, Australia 19/05/2017

We spent there a couple of days in May (2 adults plus a 4-month old infant) and it was a good choice - the hotel provided a baby cot, a bath, plus lots of other attractions that we did not benefit from, because they are for a bit older children. There was also an interesting program of additional activities for families such as trips, games, movies. On the negative side, waiting times in the hotel restaurant were really long. To sum up: a nice family hotel!

"Great place at Romanesque Route"

Tomasz P, Poznan, Poland 13/03/2017

We had a three-beds family room with the view at the Cistercians church built in XIII century. It was February 2017 so there was quite cold (approx. +10 degrees). There is a pool in the hotel basement with warm water (about 28 degrees) - nice place to warm up. Quite good cuisine in the restaurant. We spend there 5 cool days in an apartment with medieval accents. A bathroom very nice and clean. Tasty breakfasts, but repeatable.

"3-star standard with a lot of potential"

Adrian B, Krakow, Poland 12/02/2017

We stopped by only for one night during our road trip. The building itself is gorgeous and surely can be changed into unforgettable and fancy 5 star hotel. Right now, it's rather decent hotel with nothing extraordinary to offer. Don't get me wrong - it's ok for 3-star standard but it can be so much more! To make things worse during our stay there were some construction works being done which was quite annoying (noise and chemical odours were really bothering). Restaurant is also ok but breakfast menu is rather limited. WiFi is terrible and you shouldn't even consider that it is there. Details in the furnishings don't match the rest of this place. Other than that - it's a decent hotel to stay at.

"Magical place!"

Agnieszka S, Warsaw, Poland 19/05/2016

The hotel combined with an epic historical site originating from 12th century is sth not to miss! This is where King Wladyslaw Jagiello stationed on the way to beat the Crusaders in 1410. (Unfortunately the site is not supported by the profits from the hotel though). V. nice staff, got upgraded to a cosy suite, unfortunately some of the rooms are tiny. Food at the restaurant - delicious, nice local brews as well. The only disadvantage is the pool - quite old one. Nevertheless - 100% recommended.
