Best Western Louisville South / Shepherdsville

Nice place well kept grounds . Breakfast was good and stayed stocked with fresh food and fruit. Beds are not bad. Staff was great too . Didn't use any of the amenities there so can't comment on that part . Would definitely stay there again if in the area.

This has been the best hotel that we have stayed in. Very clean, bed was super comfortable. Very easy to get to from the interstate. We were on the front side, we could see the traffic on the road but the noise did not bother us!

Our guest room didn't have a functional light in the bathroom. When I called to notify the front desk - the overnight staff (Ms. Whitney) was extremely rude and treated us like we were asking for a lot to have a light in the bathroom. Then the gal in the morning, yelled to us over the lobby / breakfast area patrons "are you folks the people without a light in your bathroom in room 123." As if I wanted everyone in the lobby / breakfast area to know what room we were in, and - why would you want to broadcast to your lobby and breakfast area patrons that you had a guest with a room issue? The hotel did provide a small credit as an apology for the bathroom in our guest room not having a light - but let's just say this will NOT be on our list of 'preferred' hotels. The overnight staff also had parked in the middle of two handicapped parking spaces - thereby negating the ability for anyone needing such accessibility, to benefit from it. We may have been in the South at this hotel, but there was NO southern hospitality here!

Excellent service the people were very kind over it was a great experience with best western the city was nice restaurant around the area beautiful weather quick service and the employees were very nice they would do for any kind of help

Convenient location. The room was roomy and it was clean. Had to move the coffee maker next to the TV unplugged to the sink area. It was a really comfortable bed and nice bedding. Breakfast was okay, average Other than a broken ice machine (which was annoying), it was a good stay and the staff was very nice.

No problems, everything worked, breakfast was better than average, coffee was good, shower water pressure was a little weak but still OK, staff was friendly.I need to put down 200 letters but have nothing left to say

Our check in was great. Elizabeth worked to find us a room that fit our needs. She suggested restaurants too. Our room was roomy and the bed was comfortable. Everything was clean and the carpet and furniture was in great shape. Breakfast was ample with eggs, waffles, yogurt and fruit. Even had bottled water. Price was reasonable.

We were in town from out of state for a funeral. Staff was accommodating to our needs for rooms and schedules. Very friendly. We also were impressed with the breakfast area. Great flow and assessibility.The location couldn't have been better.

This hotel was convenient to the south side of Louisville without any traffic or concerns for safety. It was very clean and modern with a friendly staff. Booked directly through Best Western for a good price. I chose this hotel based on reviews and it did not disappoint.

We actually stayed here two nights as we had a breakdown with our car and I have to say it was awesome, the staff was wonderful the rooms comfy and the breakfast was so very yummy:) It is walking distence from a Cracker Barrel where we went for dinner. It had a clean pool and a clean workout area. The place was so very clean and that is wonderful.

We booked two king bed rooms online and paid for our reservation; upon arrival I was informed that I was not charged (I showed my confirmation and total) but, was told I had to pay again. I obliged, and was charged more than the original price for each individual room plus the $25/per room hold for any accidents. I am waiting for my original credit card statement to come in to see if I was actually charged both times. Once we were checking in we were informed that one of the rooms did not have air conditioning so they moved us to a room with two queen beds, which is fine we'd rather have air than one bed obviously. However, upon entering this room you were immediately hit with the smell of mildew and cat urine. Then we noticed the mattress under the mattress cover was filthy. Honestly, it looked like someone had been murdered in that bed. Our other room with the king bed was okay, the room felt grimy and unclean, but no noticeable huge mess or smell….but that night as we were laying in bed getting ready to go to sleep I had TWO bugs crawl across my body. I have no idea what they were, but it made staying in the bed extremely uncomfortable. I could not wait to get out of there and come home to wash all of our stuff. I do not recommend staying here and would spend a little extra for a newer/cleaner hotel that is in the same area.

The best getaway to relax without the kids and enjoy each others company. The bed was super comfy, the location is perfect along with the breakfast. I would definitely recommend this hotel to all my family and friends.

When we got to the room we had several ants we saw in various parts of the room. The room felt humid most of the night and never cooled off. The others in our group had cooler rooms with no ants so it wasn't all, just my experience. We had people in 3 other rooms with our group. The breakfast was okay, just had a strange texture on the eggs. But there was a good variety.

First time here and found it very nice. Super clean. Comfortable beds. Very friendly staff. As a side note there are very few restaurants. Cracker Barrel and Tumbleweeds are right there. Tumbleweeds was nice. Mexican food

I stayed exclusively with Best Western as I traveled from San Antonio, Texas to Ohio. Of the 3 hotels I stayed at this one was in the best location. The front desk clerk at check-in was incredible. He was engaging, professional and courteous.

Was an amazing stay the breakfast was hot and ready as well as the coffee. The workers are all super friendly. Wouldn't stay anywhere else. The rooms as well as the lobby is clean Vending machines are stocked 10/10 from me

Very comfortable bed. Breakfast was very good with excellent variety. Close to restaurants and easy off and on expressway. First time staying at a Best Western in years, very pleased with the experience.

Great Breakfast. Lots of choices. Coffee with flavored creamer. Oatmeal packets, scrambles eggs, sausage, apples, bananas, yogurt, juice, cereal, muffins, bread, bagels, omelets with red & green peppers and ham pieces (Friday), strawberry flavored waffle mix that I added mini chocolate chips to (delicious) and sugar free syrup (Thank you). Bed was comfortable. Jerry at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. Nice hotel.

Very nice hotel. Very friendly staff. Room was excellent and bed was very comfortable. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay . Breakfast was standard hotel food but was very good. Station was clean /food was hot!!!

Really loved how extremely well-lit the parking lot was because we had a van packed with all of my kid's college stuff. Very clean! Nicely appointed lobby. Air conditioning worked which was a rarity for us this summer. Bed was a little firm for me but everything else was A+

Excellent time and staff enjoyable, peaceful stay. Nice pool and easy place to stop and get dinner, lunch, and whatever other things are needed, such as gas soda snacks, all centrally located. Whatever we needed was immediately addressed by staff

This BW was very clean and had a great breakfast. Our check in was easy and desk clerk was very accommodating and wanted to please the customers. We were pleasantly surprised by this place. We would definitely stay again

I personally will not be staying in another Best Western. They need more pride in there work and how there present there rooms and equipment. We had this trip planned for months. Upon checking in I was notified that our room would not be what we had planned for the Hot tub in our room was not working.

Constantly blaming our team for another teams antics. Our team were all outside playing a parents v kids game and got blamed for prank calls to other rooms. Someone from the department of defense was staying there and we were told “they spend alot of money there” basically saying our patronage didn't matter.

The hotel is very clean, the pool is very nice, and the fitness center is above average for the area. Breakfast selection is great, lots of choices. I stay here frequently and always have a pleasant stay.

My stay was excellent, the team was very understanding, when I had to leave early, due to a situation at home! We came to the hotel to take advantage of the outdoor pool, the pool was very clean and the chemicals where well balance, unlike other hotels that over due their chemicals.

Everything was great. Clean cozy very nice stay. Exceptional friendly staff. Mr Chris at the desk is one of a kind! The polite caring cute southern gentleman you just wanna pack him up and take home with ya! As this country is currently these staff members are all over worked, under staffed and I'm sure under paid. But they did not show it at all.

Staff were very friendly. Room was clean and location was good. Liked the breakfast selections. The thing I liked least was the water in tub wouldn't shut off in the morning and nobody came to fix it.

The room and the hallways had a horrible odor. The hallways were not vacuumed. They had pieces of ceiling tile all over and were there when I arrived until I left. Not getting vacuumed regularly. The room also had an odd smell and was just not very clean. The lamp shades were covered in dust and yellowed from dust and time. The one sitting chair was covered in spots (I would be very afraid to use a blacklight on this room). The staff were pleasant, but I just got the feel that this was more suited for a long term living facility than a vacation hotel. I mist likely would choose a different hotel next time.

Our 4 night anniversary stay here was great with no problems. The manager, (Midge) & front desk person, (Chris W) treated us like family & it was even hard to say bye to them when we left. The bed, shower, room & parking were all good plus it was quiet. The breakfast area was nice and had a variety of foods. Our double queen bed room & bath were clean. We would definitely stay here again. :)

Hotel is a real bargain. It is clean, friendly, with easy access to anything in Louisville as well as the Bernheim Arboretum. The price is great for the value. Breakfast is fresh with lots of variety. Staff is very helpful. Loved our stay.

The facility was spotless, room was cozy and quiet. The check in gentleman made feel very comfortable. The breakfast options where nice, they included cereal, eggs, sausage, waffles, assorted fruit and yogurt.

The evening desk clerk Chris was outstanding!! From the moment I walked in he was so gracious and welcoming. I walked past several times to go to my car and each time was greeted with a smile and told if I needed anything not to hesitate. He was very knowledgeable about the area and suggested an amazing restaurant that I loved. If ever in the area will definitely return!!

Convenient location, relatively quiet hotel, clean room, plenty of towels. Nice amenities. Good breakfast. Pillows not the best, but useable. Close to food establishments, close to interstate. Would rather see Coke products in the drink machine. Very nice room for the price. Very friendly staff.

My family and I stayed for one night at Best Western. The staff was friendly and helpful. This Best Western had been converted to a Best Western from another brand hotel. The building has been updated but you can tell it is dated in places. The morning breakfast had many different variety of foods to enjoy. We would stay again.
