Best Western Plus Santee Inn

Needed a pet friendly place to stay when we got behind schedule on long drive returning to Vermont. Best Western Santee was right off the highway yet quiet and relaxing at a fair price. Breakfast was above average, room clean, staff friendly

This hotel is close to the highway. The rooms were very clean and decorated beautifully. The beds were comfortable. The breakfast was one of the best we have had, nice selection and clean breakfast area. Very welcoming place, would definitely stay at that location again.

The Best Western Plus in Santee, SC is one of our favorite motels when traveling the East Coast. The property is convenient to the I-95 interchange. Although a bit dated, our room was clean and very comfortable! The staff is friendly and they offer a fantastic breakfast!! A bonus is the Captains Quarters Restaurant next door!

From the minute we walked in to check in, we were treated as special guests Goody bag and acknowledgement of high travel status was a plus Roof was immaculate with excellent beds and fullsize pillows. Breakfast was amoung the best around, with lots of freshly prepared food. Coffee machine gave out 8 types of coffee, plus hot chocolate. There is a very nice restaurant on site lus 3 or four others within a 5 minute walk Easy to get on and off the highway is an added bonus. This was our third stat and we cannot wait to come back.

Clean rooms, wonderful breakfast, great staff I have stayed at this property for over 50 years. You can park in front of your door, when the weather is good, they have a lovely heated pool. I wouldn't think of staying at another hotel on this exit.

This hotel was fantastic! The staff was friendly, the room was clean, the breakfast was UNBELIEVEABLE! I highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling or needing to stay near Santee, South Carolina!

One of the best hotel experiences for the money we've ever had. The price was reasonable (just over $100), check in was a breeze with pleasant staff at the desk, the room was very nice (clean, well appointed) and the truly full breakfast the next morning was great! Other than a less-than-user-friendly TV remote, there isn't a negative thing I could say about this quaint, family-owned motel. We will definitely return.

In my opinion, the overnight stay was overpriced ($184). The room is kept up at the bare minimum, the bathroom is tiny, the furniture is dated, there is no mini-fridge or microwave, and the running water never warmed up after a few minutes. With so many hotels accepting pets, I'm surprised with how high the pet fee is. I originally booked my room online for $139, but learned of the pet fee when I checked in. If I saw that online, I would have booked somewhere else. The grounds need better lighting for walking a pet. There were paper plates with cat food around and multiple stray cats. One stray cat hung around my room door, which I didn't want. The best part of the stay was the staff, breakfast, and beds. All three staff people were pleasant to chat with, knowledgeable, and helpful. Breakfast was ready at 6am. There was a nice selection of food and beverage, and the sitting area was clean and comfortable.

Wife and myself were driving from Southwest Florida to New England. We were looking for a quiet, clean safe place to stay. This place was exactly what we were looking for. It was close to route 95, easy access and the staff was super helpful and friendly.

Excellent hotel! We only stayed overnight wish we could of stayed longer. Room was very clean and quiet. Location was conveniently near Starbucks, Waffle House and more. We would definitely stay here again. I wish all Best Western hotels were this nice as we have stayed in some that were Motel 6 level.

Due to the motel style layout, you drive right up to the motel door. As a result, gnats come in and collect in the front of the room. The air conditioning was loud; it kept going on and off. Beds were comfortable. The breakfast was good, with 2 staff members to refill the food.

I was very happy with the stay at this hotel. We had to book last min. and this was a great alternative. They were very helpful and kind. Breakfast was great at the hotel. There is also a great pool and plenty of other food options near by.

Exceeded expectations for an older design motel where you park in front of your room. A/C was quiet and the water pressure was good in the shower. Breakfast was first class. Cracker Barrel wasn't too far if you know where to turn.

We stay at this BWP every time we're in the area, and have never been disappointed. The rooms are always clean, plenty of towels and everything in working order. Beautiful landscaping around the pristine pool and the breakfasts are the best by far of any of the other BWPs we've stayed at.

We've been stopping here for years during the 1st weekend in August as part of our anniversary celebration. We love the restaurants, love the lake, love that this hotel is a single level and there's lots of great food options a short walk or drive.

We booked this hotel as a mid-way stop on our way to Florida. My in-laws have stayed here before too. We had a service dog with us which was no problem. It's an older style hotel, but everything was up to date and I love the layout which gives you plenty of room to walk outside. Didn't use the pool but it looked well kept and enjoyable. Breakfast area was top notch as was the restaurant close by (Captain's Quarters), which had excellent food and service.

We were really disappointed with the unavailable wifi connection, as we were unable to connect all four of our devices to the guest wifi. I went to speak with the front desk clerk, but she said it was working fine. I called the desk an hour later, and no further help to my query. I called the 1-888 number for technical help with wifi, and just got a busy signal. The young lady working the front desk was on her own, and seemed quite overwhelmed with check-ins, that she couldn't really lend a hand in helping with the technical issue. The next morning, I mentioned the wifi issue to the staff member doing check-out, and she asked, “Are you using Apple devices?” I said yes, all four of our devices are Apple products. She said that the new router/service has some issues with Apple devices… I wasn't happy about that response at all. Why wasn't the young lady working the desk the evening before aware of this?! A lot of folks rely on a wifi connection to keep in-touch with work & family. I expected a bit more from a premium hotel like Best Western PLUS.

We loved the clean, friendly and Christian atmosphere. We would stay there again. The hospitality was incredible and the breakfast. was first rate. We can't say enough about how warm and hospitable this hotel is.

We stop here often over the years as we traveled I-95. Always clean. Always good food. Always caring about our stay. Can't ask for more. Great restaurants onsite and just down the rode. Always plan our trips to stay here.

What a wonderful hotel!! I can see why they have such high ratings. The low ones I saw I honestly can't fathom!! First, very pet friendly and only an extra $30 when most places are $70!! They have recently redone their pet friendly rooms and they are great. Wood floors, big beds and across from plenty of areas to walk your pet. Also, by far, the best handicapped accessible bathroom I have ever seen in a hotel. Great shower where the chair is attached to the wall and simply folds down. The staff was as friendly as you can have from the young lady that check us in to the one that check this out as well as the young lady working the breakfast area. And by the way, breakfast was great with plenty of choices. Great price, excellent customer service and I liked that it was the old time hotel where the doors lead out to the parking lot because it was so easy to get in and out, no stairs, no elevator, and you just pulled your car right up to the door. Will definitely stay again.

This motel was by far the nicest motel I have ever stayed in. I was leery as we've only stayed in hotels for the past 20+ yrs but it was a holiday weekend and we needed somewhere for the night. It's located right off of I-95, the rooms are newly renovated, has a nice pool, breakfast options were great from a yogurt parfait to pancakes to sausage, eggs, and southwestern Hashbrowns. 2 people were working the breakfast area. You had the option to eat poolside. Everything was very clean and the staff were very polite. The AC worked great and we didn't hear any noise at all through the night. My only complaint was our bathroom fan sounded like a bug zapper (LOUD) and there was no way to turn it off if you wanted the light on. Otherwise, very happy and will definitely stop there again while traveling to and from Florida.

The hotel is clean and welcoming when you enter. The room was clean and have all the amenities that was listed. The breakfast was hot along with other varieties to choose from. I'm very satisfied with services and my stay I will be back again.

Tv controller didn't work, phone didn't work, main reading lamp was out. Place seems slightly worn around the edges. The bed was comfortable, and tge staff was friendly and helpful. I wished I had stayed at a newer place across the road, though.

I highly recommend this hotel. It's all on one floor, so your car is right at your room. The rooms are nicely appointed, all updated, and the breakfast bar had great choices. (Including grits and sausage gravy) lovely friendly staff. Awesome southern hospitality!

Reserved the room by calling direct. Great customer service in taking the reservation. When I arrived, was greeted and the check-in process was done quickly. Room was very spacious and the heat had been turned on low, which was a pleasant surprise. Breakfast was great. Food plentiful and attendant kept it well stocked. The only thing I did not like was the new coffee/beverage dispenser. I understand that if offers more choices, but several guests were having trouble getting it to work. Give me an old fashioned coffee maker.

Very clean,great bed and shower. Good TV and lots of choices. Staff very knowledgeable and friendly.Location was outstanding and the outside appeal was wonderful. Breakfast was very good, clean and the lady was very ftiendly and helpfil.

This room, breakfast area, outside grounds were well kept and very clean. The staff were very friendly. The only question is a $30 charge for pet fee for having a small dog. Many other "pet friendly hotels" do not have this charge. This is the only reason I put value at 3 stars.

Hotel looked nice from the road, better at the front desk and great in our room. People were very accompanying and nice. Cost for what we received was very good. The breakfast we received was very good with quite a few options. Room smelt clean and was clean. Beds were very comfortable as well as the pillows. Definitely will stay again next year!

This was one of our better finds as off-highway motels go. We agree with all the other good reviews: well-kept rooms, convenient parking, comfortable mattresses and pillows, and a good breakfast. Although breakfast breads were all white, there were scrambled eggs, sausages, cream of wheat, oatmeal (the latter two in large tureens), and yogurt from a container. Breakfast started at 6 am, allowing for an early start. The hotel is a quick drive (or even a walk) to several restaurants, including Armando's, which we recommend. The bathrooms are small but adequate — but perhaps not for large people. The fitness room is also small but adequate. The outdoor pool looked nice. We would definitely return for our next overnight stop on I-95 in SC.

Other than the very very low, toilet seat, and very very low sink, the hotel was clean (but the bathroom floor it needs to be replaced) the breakfast buffet was nice and in our opinion, the mattresses were very comfy… since all the rooms are on one bottom floor it's very nice to park at your own door, which we found to be very convenient for loading and unloading the car… But the main reason we will not stay there again, is for the low toilet seat, which we felt was dangerous, especially if we had to get up in the night time…

Was surprised to see this was more a motel than hotel, but it is so cute and well taken care of that it didn't matter. Rooms are large and very clean with older but nice furniture. Breakfast was excellent with lots of hot and cold options. Would definitely stay here again.

I travel alone, but do have a small companion dig. This location very secure and quiet. Best Western being pet friendly is a plus, because I've been turned away from other motels. I've found there locations are always clean and their staff is always friendly. Their breakfast choices are great, since I'm unable to bring my dog into a restaurant to eat and count on my hotel/motel to supply my breakfast.

So happy Best Westerns got rid of carpeting. Very clean and welcoming in appearance. Our room could use a new mattress. I was afraid I'd fall out of bed. (219) Full breakfast offered excellent variety. Everything from scrambled eggs, to biscuits and gravy as well as pancakes.

The room door had a 1/2" gap at the bottom. Could see light from outside coming in. The energy efficiency was going out the door. The flooing was replaced with LVP. Makes room feel less cozy. There was a recliner the room.

First things first, this place is an older, one-story motel, which is nice for older travelers. Our room was big and clean, and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was small and could use an update. The breakfast was terrific, and the attendant kept everything fully stocked. But the worst thing about our room was the 3/4-inch gap under the entrance door, which required us to use towels to keep the small critters outside. For the price point, this should not happen.

We've stayed here three times during the past three years. Room is comfortable but the bathrooms are terrible. This last stay tipped the boat over. The shower head just gushed out, almost impossible to shower. It's an. old motel but there's no reason not to update the tub/shower. Breakfast ran out of fresh fruit and oNo yogurt which is pretty much standard fare. Room was quiet and lean. The price point is a bit high for what you get.

One of the cleanest hotels We have stayed in! Such a lovely experience. Staff was so friendly and accommodating and made our holiday so special! It was our anniversary so it was extra special! Highly recommend

A very nice, well decorated hotel, with friendly, professional staff, clean, comfortable rooms, and a very nice breakfast! Loved that it was a one story, and had a nice area to walk around, and a nearby golf course. Definitely plan to stay there again.

This was our my 2nd stay here , both trips with my dog along . Pet rooms were both CLEAN and large .Bed was wonderful , shower worked great ( many times there was no pressure where I have stayed before ...that was not an issue here) ...Breakfast was wonderful , several HOT items ( entries) are offered as were fruits an take away items .all were fresh and plentiful...I recommend you stay here .

It was pretty clean and the reception was very hospitable. Good continental breakfast. Pool looked clean but didn't use it, too cold out. Driving range right next to the hotel with lights open till 10:00 pm.

After finding out that the usual hotels we stay at were full, we saw this Best Western. Front clerk was cheerful, and told us where we could park our trailer ( I'm not that good at backing up). Best fridge! Had room for everything in our cooler, and a freezer section for the ice packs. Not like those miniature ones elsewhere. Also, the microwave is a reasonable size. Best pillows, too, not like the marshmallow ones at the other place. Honestly, will look for BW plus signs on the highway from now on.

Everything was perfect from the clean room to the good breakfast to the exceptional staff (everyone). The kng size bed was very comfortable. The channel selection was enough. Again, everyone who worked there was pleasant and professional.

Hotel had great breakfast. Comfortable rooms. All on the first floor with parking right in front of your room. I felt it was someone overpriced considering it needed upgrading. The room was clean. But vomited to other BW motels, it was outdated.

One night stay in September 2022. Overall: everything ok. Positives: clean, can park outside by front door, good location: next to good restaurant; quiet; safe area; good place for dog because open field adjacent. Things to be aware of: have pet fee per night; breakfast adds no value for me (most food unhealthy and not that appetizing; better to have juice and good quality coffee)

This family hotel is very charming, always very clean, the staff are always amazing, the breakfast can't be beat. Love the pool, all the plants, shade provided, etc. Can't beat the price either. Just love this place!

Overpriced low end motel. It is clean and comfortable, but you can get a better deal elsewhere. Creepy person standing guard at the breakfast buffet with a "tip jar". There are several other hotels within walking range of this one (like Fairfield) that you may want to contact for price comparisons.

This hotel is a great hotel to stopover on the way to Florida. You drive your car right up to the room so it is easy to load and unload luggage. There are lots of places to eat amd get gas nearby. Nice clean rooms. Front desk staff is friendly and efficient.

An absolute great stay! The rooms aren't fancy, but they are clean, cozy, and quiet. The breakfast was the best hotel breakfast I've ever had, plenty of options and helpful attendants as well. If you're looking for a clean and safe place for your family, this is it!

The staff was amazing and friendly. The rooms were very clean. The beds were clean and comfy. The best part of our entire stay was the neat pool area. The pool was warm and very relaxing. There's no loud noise so we had a great nights sleep.

The property is fine. Exactly what you would expect from a budget hotel near the interstate. Room was just fine but lots of seedy people. Beware of all the extra fees and surcharges that this property will try to tack onto your bill if you aren't paying attention. We got hit with an extra $200 fee that we are having to dispute with our credit card company.

Motel is clean enough, have stayed here several times. They have a good breakfast offering. But it seems they have doubled their pet fee and increased the room price. i will consider a new hotel in the area on my next trip.

Great hotel for travel up and down I 95. It is easy to get on and off, the staff are very pleasant. The rooms are a little dated. I understand that a proposed renovation was postponed due to the pandemic but is scheduled to be complete by the end of the year. Clean, can park your car in front of your room, no stairs to deal with.

This hotel is right off I95. Friendly, helpful staff. Convenient parking in front of room. Pet area is lit at night. Pet-friendly rooms are a little shabby, but all the positives outweigh the decor. Very close to local golf courses.

Friendly staff, nice room, pet-friendly, nice breakfast. We felt very safe there, too. It was convenient to pull right up to our room. The room was clean and comfortable. There are grassy areas surrounding the parking areas to walk dogs. A great overnight stay while traveling to Florida.

This Best Western offers discounted rates for military veterans, which is greatly appreciated. The rooms were spotless, beds comfortable, and the breakfast selection was good. Overall, it was a good stay!

WE found this place on our way to NC and we will return. The place is dated but the rooms are very clean, towels thick and the employees very friendly. we sat by the heated pool and enjoyed talking to other guests. Their breakfast was super for me as a gluten free person. They offered several choices which is rare.

This is a very nice Best Western. The beds are really comfortable. The AC is quiet. The person who checked us in was very nice but not very knowledgeable about the area. We have stayed there a couple of times on out way home from Florida and will plan to do so again next year.

First time at this location. Will definitely stay here again on our trip next season. Rooms were very clean. Breakfast was very good. Only one problem…toilet room was very tight could barely turn around. Otherwise a very nice stay.

Greeted by friendly staff. Room was clean, decent size, and had an easy chair which my husband liked. Breakfast was standard fare of scrambled eggs, oatmeal, waffles, etc. Nice seating on the outside front patio. Ate at Clark's Inn Restaurant which is on the other side of the freeway and was good.

This place was a dump. The room odor was over whelming. I had to open windows which weren't secured to air the room out. There were no screens in the windows. We had a coupon we received at the welcoming center but they claimed all those rooms were taken. Scam. Don't be fooled by the western pluss crap.

The BW Santee rooms are very clean and comfortable. The property is close to I95; however, you cannot hear the highway from your hotel room. We always stay at this hotel because the staff is friendly, and they have a great breakfast buffet. Our dogs also enjoy staying here.

Clean rooms, great breakfast and comfortable beds. Room included a fridgerator and microwave. We travel with our dog and this is a pet friendly hotel. Many room amenities with internet, extra seating, access for electronic devices and a beautiful swimming pool. Staff are super friendly

If you like a gross breakfast and nasty room, please by all means stay at this property! Shame on them! We were given a so called "pet room", the strange thing was that we didn't have a pet! Barking dogs, fleas and other bugs in the room, the place was filthy! Shame on this location! I have stayed here for over 55 years, and will never be returning to this dump!

Absolutely surprised by this little gem next to a nice driving range and golf course! Quaint and cute inside and out! I wish we had the time to use the pool… it was definitely inviting, warm, and landscaped nice. Nothing to complain about here - We were very pleased with our stay after a long day of driving from PA, on our way to Charleston. I wouldn't change much here… it is an older place and needs some updating but overall the staff was friendly, the room was clean, the beds and pillows were comfy, the air conditioner worked well, and it was convenient to a nice restaurant next door and many convenience stores/gas stations to fill up at before continuing our trip. I would definitely stay here again, if I ever make it down south again!

On every stay, at Best Western Plus in Santee, SC, I am treated like family. Every member of their staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The daily breakfast is excellent and the beds are terrific! Always a pleasure.

Clean and quiet.. rooms do need a paint job.. and breakfast the eggs were a lil sandy .. but the saving grace was the waffle machine.. but other than that it was a oasis during a long road trip.. pool looked nice and clean but didnt use.. check in was easy ..

We stayed here (family of four) for one night on our way to Florida. It is an older-appearing motel, but the lobby was spotless and care had gone into its decorating. The motel is one floor, so we liked driving right up to our room so late at night & going right in to bed. The room was very clean, beds were comfortable. Hairdryer was great as were individual toiletries. We did not use the pool but the pool area was sparkling. There was a complete breakfast that had lots of choices for everyone. The motel is easy on-off from I-95, and Starbucks, Bojangles and other restaurants are within a block. Very good value for the money & would highly recommend.

The room and bathroom are in need of a renovation. The room was as clean as the housekeeping staff could achieve. My husband and I kept saying throughout our stay this Best Western is “not bad”. So, for one night, on your way to or from Florida, when you don't want to spend a lot, it's Not Bad.

It was a perfect for our drive to Florida with my dog. The hotel was right off I95. Check in was easy, parking right in front of hotel room, and lots of grassy area for my dog. When we walked into the room it smelled sanitized, which we loved, and very clean. The free buffet breakfast was fantastic. There is a Starbucks and gas station a block away. All in all it was the perfect over night stay.

Convenient location off I95 with very amicable staff. I have been staying here at least The last 10 years and there has never been a problem. Only downer was that the restaurant next door was closed on a Sunday.

This was a golf trip for my buddy and myself. This motel is located within walking distance to Lake Marion Golf Club, which was one of the courses we were playing. The room was clean, the beds were comfortable, the heat/air unit was quiet and the Wi-Fi was excellent. Good restaurants close by and a well stocked free breakfast was included. Overall good experience.

All the staff were friendly and professional. The location was close to the exit off I95 and there were several nice restaurants close by. The internet was not working when we got to our room which we reported. We left to go to dinner and it was working when we got back.

Cobwebs behind the TV. Heavy dust across the top of the TV and bed. There was no input selection on the TV that would allow me to use my Roku for Netflix. There were gaps around the entire exterior door (room 107) that allowed cold air to come in on a frigid night. We could hear our "neighbors" banging around in their room.

This hotel is a older hotel but nicely kept up. This was the 3rd hotel we stayed at on our trip from the north to Florida and was the nicest. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was the best and very plentiful with a good variety of choices. Will definitely stay here again.

If you are traveling on I95 near Santeria SC, I highly recommend the Best Western. The staff was friendly. The rooms were spotless. The beds are as comfortable as can be. Plenty of pillows. Refrigerator, microwave. The breakfast was excellent, good quality and plentiful. It was near 40 degrees, the pool looked very inviting but too cold to try it out. Average price but worth every dollar.

We love staying at this Best Western. The staff is great. They are very helpful. The breakfast area as well as the rest of the hotel is very clean. We stay at this hotel every time we travel South. The restaurant next door, The Captains Quarters is delicious.

Very clean; friendly helpful staff; liked being able to park outside the room. During the online reservation process I hit a snag. A short conversation with BW customer service resulted completing the reservation efficiently. In addition the rep noticed that I had not signed up for double rewards in effect at that time; he did it for me automatically as he told me what he noticed. The bathroom was fairly small, but otherwise the room had enough space for comfort.

This is our favorite place to spend the night traveling south. It is clean, quiet, and all the staff very nice. The rooms are nicely furnished and the beds very comfortable. Checkin and check out are quick and easy. We highly recommend this hotel!

This motel lived up to Best Western standards. It is a motel and it is off I-95, on Old Number 6 Highway. It sits directly on a main road, which some may not like. But there are plenty of dining, gas around. Staff was friendly, the room was clean and the door was secure.

The Santee Best Western is neither the best nor the worst I've stayed at (I stay at BWs mostly when traveling, if available). There was no option for disabled-accessible rooms when I made the reservation online, so I was stuck with a non-accessible room and it made things difficult. BW would do well to make these more generally available, and to upgrade the accessible rooms they have to include, e.g., walk-in or wheelchair-accessible showers rather than just bathtubs with handles. They could also do more to include healthier eating options for the breakfast buffet.

This was our fifth stay at the Best Western in Santee,South Carolina. As always we were most pleased with the room, the service, the check in process and the speed of checkout. The breakfast (included with the cost of the room) was excellent. We had a 7 hour drive after checkout and the breakfast kept us satisfied till we reached our destination. Highly recommend Best Western Santee.

We travel from Florida to Virginia frequently and this was our first day at the best Western Plus Santee Inn. The room was immaculate, the bed extremely comfortable and the value was excellent. This will be our go to place to stay in future trips.

As soon as we pulled up, we knew it would be a great place to stay.. The outside was decorated so nicely and inviting..and they did not dissapoint us! From a speedy checkin with very nices gals to a very nicely decorated room..very comfortable bed and everything we needed and to a great breakfast in the morning...we have made this a stopping point in our travels!

I remember staying in Best Western when Plus meant a hotel with conference facilities. They were much better than the run-of-the-mill Best Western. But this is just that. My guess is that it is an old Holiday Inn, or something similar, built in the 1960's. It is an old motel, one story with exterior doors. The sink is in the bedroom and the shower and toilet in a room the size of a closet. Everyone has stayed in this kind of motel. But I for one prefer something a little nicer. One thing I was grateful for, however, was the step tool. There is no way I could ever climb into this bed, it is so tall. But I found a little step stool in the closet and that made it do-able.

BE AWARE- NO PETS - although TripAdvisor at the time we searched indicated that this location accepted pets when we arrived a sign was posted on the exterior of the entrance stating "No Pets" - as it was late and fortunately temperate weather we were able to have our small dog stay in the car in crate. In addition, the microwave in the room became overly heated when warming our takeout dinner. We were not only unable to eat a warm meal but unplugged the microwave due to a fire concern(the exterior cabinet was too hot to touch. This is one BW that we will not return to and you should re-think also.

This Santee, SC Best Western Plus is a gem! Great value, clean, comfortable and conveniently located off of I-95. Breakfast is free, plentiful and beautifully presented. The rooms are clean, beds are great and the towels are fluffy! This is my go-to place when travelling the I-95 corridor.

Our favorite place to stay going to and coming back from our Florida vacation. The room is very cozy and comfortable, and the breakfast is very good with plenty of choices, and it's close to I-95. I'd recommend it to anyone, any time.

The room was clean, the beds were comfortable and everything-from A/C to shower to TV worked perfectly. The room was quiet. Reasonable places to eat within a short walk. Easy on and off the highway and the free breakfast was great

We would stay at this property again. We would leave from home early enough for my husband to play golf next door. Felt safe pulling in as late as we did and unloading in the dark. Staff helpful in telling us where to park uhaul.

This property always takes care and concern for us, and our Basset Hound during our travels up and down the east coast. It's clean, friendly, a location we always look forward, and the BW continental breakfast never falls short ! And, love their beds !!

The Best Western in Santee is one of the hotels that we like to visit in February when we are on I.95 headed south to Florida. This hotel has all of features that you want plus one. THIS HOTEL IS BUILT SO THAT EVERY ROOM IS ON THE FIRST FLOOR ! You can park your car right outside the door to your room. In the morning, you can have a nice breakfast or pick up something on the way. The breakfast room is a little small and sometimes gets crowded. We are not early risers. So, when we go to breakfast at 8:30 about half of the guests have already hit the rod. For dinner in the evening, I recommend the restaurant at "Clark's Inn" which is about a half mile down the road from the Best Western. Enjoy each day !!

Stayed one night on the way back from Florida. Very clean room with nice linens and comfortable beds. Loved being able to park right outside our room. Breakfast had nice quality of food. Friendly staff. Would definitely recommend.

I booked a pet friendly room. I booked a pet friendly room. It Smelled nice and was clean. There was a pet potty area across from my room with waste bags provided. I am taking off a star for two reasons. Reason one - the toilet. This was a major negative for me. Ladies, if you have any kind of knee problems, it will be torture getting up from the child height toilet! They should have payed a few dollars more for a higher toilet. Reason two - the pillows. Please, be kind to your neck and bring a pillow from home! These pillows are over stuffed and hard as a rock! There is no softness or give in the pillows at all. The breakfast buffet was full of food, something for everyone. There were hot foods and cold foods, yogurt, fruit, cereal,breads, eggs and meat. The light bulb was burned out by the chair in my room which made sitting and reading difficult. I would stay here again, no problem.

Not trendy just Comfortable but it's not modern. Decent linens, comfortable. When I ask for a quiet room I got one. Property feels safe. If I were travelling alone I'd feel safe here. Golfing must be good because golfers are always here.

Just needed to stop for a night. Location was okay but the service and room was good. Efficient check in. Very nice breakfast was included. Did not use the outside pool but it was open and looked nice.

We've been to this motel many times and have recommended it to friends and family. We love being able to park right outside the room. The rooms themselves are some of the biggest we've experienced. The beds are very comfortable and we like having the extra table which we use as a dining table if we decide to bring dinner in. The pool really sparkles and always looks inviting. The hot breakfast starts at 6:00 AM which is great if you want to get on the road early. Frig, micro and coffee maker are great extras. Enjoy.

First time at the Inn....but it will not be the last. Actually when I booked the room, I thought it was much closer to our final destination. But after the stay we were extremely happy with my choice. Great service....a lot of hotel amenities....and numerous local restaurants within walking distance. Extremely clean and quiet room.....even though the hotel was sold out for that night. Glad I booked well in advance..

room was clean and the area quiet. we felt safe. there is a breakfast buffet but we didn't get up in time for it as we were wiped from traveling. since this is "park in front of your room" we found that convenient for unloading for a one night's stay. our door did not close properly and i would think best western would be concerned with leakage from the ac or heat.

I was skeptical when I heard that the Santee Inn had been purchased by a corporate hotel, but Best Western has retained all the features that make a night at the Santee Inn and Restaurant a lovely rest stop for Rt 95 travelers. Clean, well maintained, some renovated rooms and a new lobby were some of the features I appreciated.

Our only problem was that the air conditioner did not keep the room cool enough and had a musty order. We didn't report this until we checked out as we were very tried from our trip and just wanted to rest.

This is my second visit. For the price, you cannot beat this place. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the AC is not too noisy, great shower, comfy beds and I love parking right in front of my room. The access to 95 is excellent and there is a Starbucks two doors down. I will definitely be back.

Was traveling down I-95to Florida for a wedding and needed a place to stay the night that allowed pets. This Best Western was right off I-95 and had plenty of restaurant near by along with other facilities like drug store, grocery store, etc. Pets were no problem and plenty of area to walk them. Check was easy as was check out.

We needed a spot to stop on our trip down south with our dog. The BW is right off 95 so we thought we'd try it. It was convenient to park right outside our room to unload our things and the room was clean but very old. The walls needed paint and the bathroom was dark and dingy. Surprisingly the bed was comfortable and outside noise was muted. That said, we will not be back and will have to find another hotel in the area to stop next time.

This Beat Western was very clean, great full breakfast, and super convenient. Very close to golf courses, good local restaurants, very convenient to I95, with easy access I would definitely stay there again

This hotel was right off I-95, and after a long drive, it is the perfect stop. The hotel was clean, properly accessorized; parking directly outside the door was a great luxury especially with a lot of luggage. The breakfast buffet had many hot and cold choices. We were definitely impressed. Great value and exceeded our expectations.

The Inn was very clean and the staff was very pleasant. Excellent location. Comfortable beds. Easy drive up to the room. Breakfast had many offerings. Good coffee, too! We were pleasantly surprised at how nice the place was. I commend the manager and staff for working together to make everyone feel welcome.

The 2 ladies upon check-in were friendly and helpful. I stayed in the first guest room past the pool which was convenient. The room looked like it had recently been renovated as there was no nasty hotel carpet, but laminate floors. The only downside to this is that they didn't finish the renovation and the baseboards are completely dirty which one coat of paint would have fixed, after they finished painting the walls. There was a nice rocker recliner as well. The hotel was quiet and literally steps away from a restaurant.

This was one of the nicest budget hotels we've stayed at and had the best continental breakfast, by far! It's an older building, but it's clean and well-maintained. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again! My kids loved it too!

Needed a room for one night, traveling through from DC to the Tampa area. Found this one with decent reviews, good price, didn't know what to expect. The exterior/appearance is phenomenal. Very pretty grounds and very well kept. We saw staff sweeping up around the grounds all the time. The room was clean, although the edges of the room could probably have been swept a little better. There was a used bar of soap in the shower. Found that odd because it was practically next to the new bar. TV channels limited. Front desk personnel were very friendly and welcoming. Water pressure in the shower was good, bath towels a little thin. Found the bed a little more firm than what I'm used to but it was fine. Very good complimentary breakfast with a fantastic attendant. Eggs, sausage patties and links, apple/orange juice, diced fruit, fresh fruit, cereals, coffee. Would stay here again if ever in the area.

Recently stayed at this hotel. If you are looking for a clean, comfortable room, friendly, welcoming staff at an affordable price this is your place. "Included" breakfast is an extensive selection of hot and cold foods, including down home foods like waffles, pancakes, bacon but with lots of healthy options and stuff for kids. Every staff member is friendly and you can tell it's a great place to work. You can tell the team takes great pride in making their hotel one of the best for the money.

This was one of the worst hotels we have ever stayed at. I slept in my clothes! The floors were dirty, the room smelled and the pool and area around the pool were dirty. We had reservations based on reviews that we had read but they must have been paid to write them. I asked for a refund but did not receive the courtesy of a reply.

Close to 95 and very clean and comfortable hotel. Staff was nice at check in. Plenty of places nearby to eat with lots of choices. Toiletries were citrus and great scent from them. Steakhouse is part of the hotel adjacent

During a recent trip north from Florida my husband and I stayed at this hotel. We were very happy with our choice. Our room was spacious and sparkling clean. The our king bed was very comfortable and the linens were of a nice quality. It is a one level property so we were able to park outside our room. A very complete hot and cold breakfast buffet is served with a staff member serving the choices to provide a good meal with minimum contact for safety due to Covid. This is definitely a well run hotel and an excellent choice for an over night stay.

Our room was great! Very friendly staff. The beds were comfortable and everything was clean. I love the the vanity is not in the actual bathroom. It is much more convenient that way. We went to Savannah for the day and decided to drive back up to this location because of the price and the reviews. We were not disappointed.

Excellent property and very convenient off of Route 95 South. Beds were very comfortable, restaurants within walking distance, lovely pool area, and an added bonus, they had smoking rooms which were in a separate building from the non-smoking room. Highly recommend and will be staying here on our way back home to Maryland, and hoping to explore Lake Marion if we have time.

Comfortable room, reasonable price. A stand out was the staff person juggling the breakfast area: Even with the Covid situation apparently winding down, the breakfast area was not back to self-service, so one staff person was taking our breakfast orders. She was keeping track of 2 or 3 or 4 peoples' orders and details as one person's waffles were browning to perfection, for example. Coffee to order, or warm scrambled eggs on the plate... with a smile and a little bit of friendly banter. The breakfast dining area was nicely appointed and even had portraits of the original owners of the motel, on the wall. We were informed that those folks' children have continued with this property, even as it is now part of the "Best Western" chain.

The staff is friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good. Travel with our pet and they are always accommodating. The rooms are clean...to be honest, a bit of updating would make the rooms even better, but overall, good for an overnight stay while traveling.

Pleasantly surprised how such an older motel was maintained. It was nice to park our car pulling a car trailer near our room. Great that we didn't have to go up and down an elevator. Room was immaculate as well as the buildings and grounds. Breakfast was excellent. Would definitely stay there again.

Origonally stayed here with my sister 10 years ago en route from Florida to Pennsylvania. Tho we were weary from the last minute travels; the southern hospitality and charm of this hotel was noted and appreciated! ( and remembered! ) Fast forward to May 2021 and I am traveling to Myrtle Beach and looked forward to bedding down at this Best Western. And 10 years later this hotel did not disappoint! The rooms are CLEAN, smell FRESH and is a QUIET place to stay. The beds appear to be new and feel supportive. Everything is maintained and everyone is courteous and professional! WONDERFUL place to overnite!

Very clean, well-maintained, PET-FRIENDLY hotel on I-95. Quick & easy check-in/check-out. Room was spotlessly clean and had obviously been well-sanitized. Liked that the pet-friendly room was not carpeted. Very comfortable bed, and nice leather recliner in the room. Great place to stop overnight on I-95 (with or without a pet), about halfway between Florida & the Northeast. Very good pricing/value as well.

We made a snap decision to stop on our travels and were very pleased. The staff were very pleasant the rooms were very clean the lot was also clean and pleasant and maintained landscape surrounding it. We were impressed enough to make sure our next stop on our journey had a Best Western Plus and stayed there as well and were just as impressed.

We stayed here with our dog. The rooms were clean and the hotel was clean. The room had a great TV, Internet, fridge with small freezer and microwave. The shower worked very well. There was plenty of parking and separate rooms for those with dogs. There was also a lovely pool that looked super clean that others used but we didn't have time to use. We did eat at the included breakfast and the selection was very nice. They handled this very well with one person handing out the orders and guests staying on the other side of a table. The grounds around the hotel are beautiful. The hotel was a good value for the cost. There are plenty of fast food places to grab a bit for dinner within a few blocks.

The beds are more than perfect. The people operating it are too. Just stay away from the breakfast server as the one serving the morning I was there had the worst attitude I've come across in ANY hotel stay anywhere!

Came face to face with a cockroach in the bathroom in the middle of the night. Front desk person blew it off saying, "well you open your front door from time to time and summer is coming ." So matter of fact she was. Not satisfied with her response.

This Best Western Plus is definitely a PLUS. It's the Rosebud Motel on steriods. Great location; terrific staff; comfortable bed; great price; a Starbucks within walking distance. Who could ask for more. We travel back and forth from Florida to New Jersey at least four times a year and always stay at the Best Western Plus in Santee, South Carolina.

We just needed a quick overnight stop and chose this because it looked okay and was mid range price wise, but it looked more like a $49 room not $100+. Not real clean, sticky remote, mattress was not sealed and when I checked it was stained. Breakfast server was great though.

The Santee Inn was the highlight of our trip to Florida and back. It was clean, with friendly staff and a great breakfast. Plenty of towels, soft linens, and a nice outdoor pool. Out of the three hotels we stayed in, this was the best of our trip.

In spite of COVID restrictions, our stay in this classic style motel was exactly what we needed for meals and a good night's sleep. It was great to park in front of your room, and a benefit to be able to walk to a fantastic restaurant.

Last minute booking. Price was reasonable. Check in was fast and room was ready upon arriva. Clean room-basic but for the value it was suitable. Stayed in this area instead of Manning because of hotel quality. Drive to Manning was about 25 minutes on I95. Only problem is food choices by hotel was limited

I was extremely pleased with my stay.. clean rooms, easy check in/ check out, really friendly staff and all the amenities I could need!! I will make this hotel my go to as I make this cross country trip every 2 months!!!

Stayed in room 204, this was a pet friendly room so there was no carpet on the floor which took away from the comfort of the room. The room was clean, smelled clean. The bedsheets smelled like clorox which was a bit overwhelming. We stayed one night and it was pleasant i would stay here again for a night or 2 the most nothing more than that. Parking is right outside your room which is great. The front desk gentleman who was there when we checked in was rude, he made no eye contact didnt welcome me or say hello it was like i didnt exist, very unpleasant and not sure of the laws but he didnt have a mask and was coughing. The breakfast lady was nice and accommodating. Overall not a bad stay for a stop on to Florida, especially when alot of other hotels in the area seemed crappy, this being a pet hotel definetly was a plus.

I am periodically staying at the Santee BW plus Inn for work nearby, and am always fully satisfied with each stay - very consistent quality and much better value for the price than the several comparable competitors in the area. And more breakfast options than the recent brab bags during the worst of the pandemic are back now as well.

Property is spread out with rooms located only on ground level, so parking is available right in front of your room. This is especially convenient for handicapped people. Our accessible room was clean, no odor nor heavily deordorized to cover up something. AC worked just fine and no issue with our door locking as another guest stated. Bed was comfortable. We did notice the front desk staff not wearing masks, but they were seated behind a platic shield. The breakfast is served by a staff member who wears a mask and gloves. We were pleased with this hotel and would stay again.

Check in and out were quick. Pulling up to our room was convenient as we had our bikes with us. We also appreciated the small fridge in our room and there was a microwave as well that I am sure could come in handy for someone. That is where the positives end. Signs on the doors of the lobby state no entry without mask or face-covering. Only one or two people at breakfast wore one into the lobby everyone else coming and going both at check in the night before checkout the next morning did not wear or have masks with them. The people working in the lobby and front desk also did not wear masks. This was not impressive. We skipped bfast and went to mcds drivethru. Our door to our room was broken and although the lock seemed to work the door did not close all of the way and let in cold air and road noise. The gap was quite large and could allow mosquitoes and rodents in as well. Our room was heavily deodorized to cover something else up. Not sure what but the stink seemed to get worse as the night went on. And the ac/heater was defective and made a loud whooshing sound. Take earplugs. Even with mine it was quite distracting. Will stay in another hotel the next time.

This Inn offers a clean, comfortable room. Staff is friendly and breakfast is now being served. There was a comfortable bed, lounge chair and desk. They have their own restaurant and several more are near by. Easy on and off I-95.

My wife and I were traveling from Maryland to Florida and stopped at this hotel. It was a wise decision indeed. It is located just off I-95, so it's very convenient. But it's also far enough away from the highway so it isn't noisy. The hotel is really attractive with a heated pool, hammocks, and attractive landscaping. They practice the proper COVID protocols, so you feel safe, and the rooms are drive-up to the door, so you have virtually no contact with others. The rooms are really large and the décor is upscale. The beds were clean and comfortable. The bathroom was modern and quite nice. The TV was LG and they offered free premium channels like HBO. The free breakfast had all the usual fair, including waffles. And there were a wide range of nearby restaurants, including a Starbucks in the morning for coffee. You can't beat the price for what you get and we would definitely stay at this hotel again!

This place has been a constant stay over for us as we drive back and forth to Florida. They always have a place for us and it is very nice, clean and quiet. The man (Bill) is always friendly and efficient. The breakfast was limited because of COVID but made to order and very tasty.

The property was very clean. All the normal amenities. The beds were super comfortable. The pillows were the most comfortable that I have slept on in along time. Due to Covid, breakfast was a grab and go. It consisted of a muffin, a breakfast bar, juice and an orange. This is the place to stay if you are in the area.

Great value. The room was clean. convenient access, from the highway, and parking right by the door made it easy to unload the car and walk the dog. Decent options to eat, we really enjoyed the Thai restaurant across the street.

I have long been a frequent BW guest because I can always count on their standards for cleanliness. We made an advance reservation and arrived around 9pm, weary from a full day of driving South on 95. We were greeted by a friendly and efficient young lady. This is one of those road traveler hotels where you drive up to your door and every room is a first floor walk up - which we appreciated because we could feel secure leaving the majority of our stuff in the locked car overnight. The room was spacious for two adults and comfortable/clean, as expected; also seemed more updated than the website photos show. Check out was also speedy and friendly. My only constructive comment is about the grab-and-go breakfast. It was a piece of fruit, an individually wrapped muffin, and a hot breakfast sandwich which was tasteless and gummy. The hotel would be better off providing a $5 breakfast voucher to their nearby McDonald's which would be a partnership opportunity to cross-sell a local business and also give people a better meal option.

Our pet room was not clean. Upon arrival and due to Covid, I wiped down bathroom counter upon arrival. Wiped up countless number of whisker hairs and ledge above sink was dirty. Rug did not appear to have been vacuumed as there were bits of scrap paper on the floor. The beds were decent though.

Did you ever have that travel nite yiu just couldn't fall asleep? No here, right off the highway impromptu stop was clean and quite! Even my pup curled right up. We were well rested and on the way out the office handed me a bag breakfast! Thanks for the cheerful can do spirit!

Whenever we go South or return home we stay at this location. It is clean and comfortable, The staff is very nice and helpful. Pre Covid the breakfast was always good. They are doing a great job with the packaged breakfast they are giving to go.

I was pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness and comfort of the room. Easy accessibility off I-95 and pet friendly. I like the motor lodge style where I can park right outside my room. Room was clean, spacious and comfortable. Highly recommend.

The on line registration process was amazing and the hotel was clean, comfortable and fully abiding by Covid safety precautions. Was surprised to see that the pool was truly heated and wished we had packed swimsuits to enjoy it after our long drive between Virginia and Florida. Would definitely stay here again.

As other reviewers noted, this Best Western Plus is conveniently located off I-95, seems to be in a fairly safe area (compared to other areas along I-95), and is my stopover point for frequent trips between Florida and Virginia. However, I think the entire Best Western service has gone down hill since the so-called lockdown of COVID-19. The lockdown has become a convenient excuse to cut costs of any amenities and I am really tired of the brown bag "Grab & Go Breakfast." This BW Plus cannot even bother to provide decent coffee/tea or properly maintained rooms (sloppy caulking in the bathrooms, dirty Air Conditioner filters, dirt (paint?) spattered refrigerator doors). I still don't know why this Best Western has a Plus.

I noticed most of the hotels at the Santee exit were more expensive than usual. This hotel while satisfactory does not meet the standards I have come to expect from a Best Western Plus. It reminds me of my elderly great aunt who had lovely vintage furnishings but didn't see the dust and dirt in the room. The air conditioner had a horrible smell air freshener couldn't disguise. The staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. I was glad I could use use my gift card to help bring down the price, but it just doesn't provide the value for price asked.

Covid 19 pecautions were non-existant. No indication that any extra steps were taken toward assuring cleanliness and Covid free. The bathroom and sink area requires updating. The furniture was in average condition and the mattress and pillows are close to the time for replacement. The facility is listed as Best Western Plus and we have stayed at other Best Western and this facility was not a Plus.

Enroute from FL to New England Seniors concerned about risk and safety travelling during Covid 19 Pandemic. We went out of our way to choose this BW location because of outside access to rooms. I am so glad we did. Reception area has plexiglass shield adding to safety for employee and customer. Beds were great! Mind you though they are very high so if you are really short you'll have a bit of trouble getting in and out. Not all rooms were occupied so it was very quiet and we got a great night's sleep. Refrigerator and A/C worked well and not loud. As a light sleeper I appreciate that. I would go out of my way to stay here again. Instead of usual breakfast they offered continental breakfast to go which was fine.

Had an enjoyable stay. Great place when traveling with a dog. Friendly staff and very clean room. Would definitely stay here again when traveling to Santee SC. The pool was very nice and great and it was nice to be able to walk right into the ground level room without having to deal with an elevator. Thanks Best Western Plus.

Our family stayed at this hotel as a halfway point between Pennsylvania and Florida. Since we have stayed at this hotel in the past, it was no surprise to have excellent accommodations. The rooms are large, clean and quiet. The hotel has exterior corridors, and allows guests to park directly in front of their hotel room. The pool was large and clean; my daughter especially enjoyed this part of our stay! Breakfast was a “grab and go” paper bag filled with water, juice, muffin or danish, fruit and granola bar. Great experience, would definitely stay here again!

Convenient to golf course, local restaurants (next door), and all other Santee amenities. Good price for a clean quality room. Friendly staff. Parking adjacent to room (first floor level). Ice and other vending located within 100 feet. Very convenient. Nice pool area with social distancing.

We ended up here thanks to long delays with a tow truck after a bad pothole, and after a one night stay at another hotel in the next town over, this place was worth every penny. We were able to play in the pool with our 2.5 year old. Our small dog was allowed to stay. The room smelt fresh and clean, and there are to-go bags for breakfast in lieu of a traditional continental breakfast given the COVID 19 situation. Thank you thank you thank you, Best Western. If we're ever in the area again we will stay here hands down!

Stayed the night on 05/24.. Highly recommend this as a stop to stay. The nightshift front desk clerk was such a gentleman. Was a sweet older man! The room was clean didn't smell musky like most hotels I've stayed at. Check out was smooth with no hassle.. love that you can just drive up to the door..

My family has to travel for a unpleasant reason. But we were very happy with the customer service we received from the staff. They help with giving directions to get extra bath towels and wash cloths.

Hotel room is outdated. My room was connected to another room by a door and you could hear everything through the open slit of that door. There are many better hotels out there for the same price and less.

What a fantastic and relaxing place! A small town with the small town atmosphere and great place to go for that "just get away" experience. The facility is single story which allows spacious parking in front of your room for easy access to/from vehicle. Although COVID 19 has had an impact on choice of sit down food all the "fast food" places were operating with drive through ad or take out. There is a grocery story a couple of hundred yards away. I will be back for another stay on my Harley.

Second time I have stopped there. Quiet, clean rooms at a reasonable price. Many rooms are updated. Breakfast buffet is very nice and coffee is excellent. There is bakery/ ice cream store 2 blocks away with cake by the slice. Homemade and fabulous!

Bathroom needs updating. Toilet too low. Needs caulking at base of toilet. Rust where shower rod attaches to wall. Tub should be replaced with shower stall. Staff at front desk was very good. Answered all questions without me having to ask them. Hot Breakfast was provided and many choices were offered.

The only two things that were good about this room was the comfortable mattress & the refrigerator. Thankfully it was just one night. The bed was comfortable, the pillows were hard as a rock, thankfully we had our own pillows to use otherwise I would not have been able to sleep. The room is dated & smelled musty .. as did the A/C unit running. The tissues smelled like smoke & the shower didn't have much pressure. Will likely not stay again if ever traveling the I95 corridor again. Oh - and housekeeping knocked at 9am even though checkout is at 11. UGH .. annoying.

On our way to Florida, I prefer plus BW, it's right next door to Smiths Exxon which sells all sorts of goodies, the room is large, plenty of seating, fridge,microwave,coffee maker, bathroom tiny, very clean, had our emotional support dog with us, area to walk dog, near many restaurants and shops, quiet, we were in back, it had an adjoining restaurant, we didn't eat their , found a Cracker Barrel , right down street, breakfast is served near Lobby, many choices and very good.

This Best Western is not the most elegant hotel, but we found it to be convenient, clean and comfortable. This is not a multi-floored hotel. We parked right outside our door so that loading and unloading was quick and easy. The free breakfast was what you commonly find at any hotel. However, the attendant was friendly and kept the breakfast area clean and stocked. We stayed here twice within a week and a half (on our way south and again or our return trip).

Great place to stay! The checkin was quick and easy. The staff was great! Our room was clean and the breakfast was very good. I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a clean, nice and friendly place to stay.

We decided to stop in Santee this year on our drive down to FL. We stayed at the Best Western Plus. The best thing about this place is the restaurant next door. Everything is rather average. Unless you golf or fish not really much to see. We gave it a try.

Best Western Plus Santee was clean and very comfortable. Beds and pillows provided comfort. We always stay here on return from Florida. They usually provide an awesome breakfast. Due to a problem in their dining area, they gave us a coupon for free breakfast at the Cracker Barrel located nearby.

You can not beat the value! Always clean and comfortable. Fabulous breakfast, but get there early to get a seat because it's always so busy. We always stop here on our way to southern Florida. It's about halfway. They work hard to keep the food, coffee and juice stocked when the place is bursting @ the seams with guests having breakfast!

This is a very well maintained and well run hotel that does not disappoint. We especially love the very warm heated pool! Nice restaurant attached. There is room if you are towing a bass boat like we were. We will stay here again!

We were traveling norrth on I -95 for a trip to VA. We called about two days before our trip and were lucky enough to find this Gem of a Hotel. The reservation was simple to make when we contacted the hotel. The room was very clean and smelled like freshly laundered sheets. There was cold weather and rain and we were so lucky to have chosen this oasis off the highway which had a been designed as a 1 story lodge where you drive up to the door. We went to dinner at the restaurant next door which was ok but a bit pricey. The hotel served the most lovely display and breakfast assortment I've ever seen at a free breakfast. Yes they had the usual stuff but they had a delightful yogurt machine with fixings, fresh grits, sausage and bacon offered as well. Clean inside and out surrounded by a small golf course and well lit parking. Just a Delight !!

Had to find a place last minute due to a death, this hotel was recommended to me. Everything was great! Room was clean, smoke free, beds were clean and comfortable! Area lit good at night, staff was nice. Breakfast was good, overall no issues at all. I would recommend this place as well!

Older hotel, very clean and well kept up. Nice for the price. One floor, parking in front of doors. Friendly staff, good breakfast, eggs, sausage, biscuits fruit, juice and coffee. Close to lots of choices to eat. Short walk to Sea Captains House to eat. Very good food. Several hotels at this exit and close to golf and lake.

I enjoyed the Very clean and updated property. Pet Friendly property made it easy and comfortable to relax and enjoy the stay. Also close to dinning places made it easy for dinner. Internet worked great

All one level, outside entrances - not what we are used to but worked out nicely. Clean room, great beds and pillows. Shower very good. Bathroom small but like having the sink separate from the tub. We read about continental breakfast but it was as complete as we have ever encountered - eggs, sausage, grits, waffles, oatmeal, yogurt, breads, etc. I still prefer a more updated facility but for one night this was fine and the price was reasonable.

I've stayed at several hotels. Best Western has always been the one who gives most for your money. The breakfast has always been great and that way I do not have to go out to get it. The pools have been kept clean.

A 95 jewel.Very comfortable motel just off the 95. Clean rooms, great breakfast. Friendly staff. Beds were very comfortable. Staff did everything possible to make our stay enjoyable. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a stop over.

Right off of I 95. Nice clean rooms, service at desk was great. Breakfast food very fresh and room was spotless.safe parking lot and close to several restaurants. Internet was fast and stayed working. Will definitely stay there again.

Received a phone calll after my stay stating that I left something in the room when I left and they offered to hold for me on my return. I don't know what else to say except that I enjoyed my stay and will stay there again.

We stay here every year on our way to Florida. The BW is so warm and inviting. The rooms are so WELL LIT and bright and clean. The staff is helpful and cheerful. The sheets are lovely, soft . i will say the towels could be a little softer but still not bad.

Although a bit pricey for the location (up about 20% from last year same time), still maintains a comfortable and safe place to stay. Amenities improved altho' tea could be added to room. Clean and very convenient for the traveler with all type of traveling needs available, i.e. gas, fast food, fine dining, etc.

Rooms were very clean and beds were comfortable. I could even figure out the tv remote on first try. Didn't realize that the restaurant opened at 5 or we would have eaten there instead of cracker barrel.

As other reviewers have noted that rooms are neat and clean with a fine tv plus WiFi. The bathroom was fine though very basic and tiny. Breakfast was very basic as well with limited choice in a small area. So, it's an ok place to stay for a pit stop, but that is setting the bar too low to the price. We chose a different place going back the other way on I 95.

Rooms were clean & comfortable. Great restaurant right next door. Very happy for the price as a stop over night stay. Just fine for a family with kids. You can park right outside your door, too, so you don't have to drag all of your things in for just one night. Would definitely stay again!

We were on our way home & decided to stop instead. We stay at The Best Western Hotels often. This one was very clean. The heated pool was a wonderful surprise & it was hard to get out! :) Unfortunately, the workers smoked by the pool (my spouse is allergic to cigarette smoke) & they left cigarette butts by the tables. The breakfast bar was well stocked, however it was very cramped & difficult to maneuver around. We will come back for the heated pool!

I stayed in a room with one King Bed, it was very clean, staff friendly. Continental Breakfast was great, many items on the breakfast bar to chose from. Although I didn't use it, the heated pool looked very nice. I would definitely stay at this location again in the future.

Need better staffing In restaurant Need more experienced maint' person Better lighting out front. Much better selection and quality of food at breakfast. Both ladies at front desk were perfect. Since becoming a plus this Best Western has shocked be on It's downward turn It use to be my favorite.

If they had charged $70, it would have been good value. At $115 a night, it was terrible: 1. When you turn off the light at night, all the outlets go dead, so your phone is not charging. Not to mention my laptop or hearing aid. 2. The room was tiny, old, and dilapidated. 3. The pillows were lumpy. 4. Breakfast was chaotic - though this was less important to me. The reason they get to charge so much, I am guessing, is because they have a heated pool outdoors. But if you don't care about this, the rest of the motel was definitely not worth it.

I saw rave reviews about this hotel. It was really pretty, nicely decorated for the Holidays. Check in went smoothly. The room was clean. That's all the good I can say. Everyone has a different opinion on beds of course, I thought it was uncomfortable. The pillows were all too firm. Okay, now for breakfast. I should've tried the oatmeal. The eggs were cold, the biscuits were dry. The sausage was okay but the coffee was awful. Sullen breakfast hostess didn't do anything to improve the experience. Sorry Best Western, but it's not your best.

We were enroute from DC to Largo, FL and this hotel in half way. The price was excellent at just under $100 taxes in and the room was clean, nicely furnished and very comfortable. It had excellent internet. There is a very good seafood restaurant next door offering good selections at good prices. We've stayed here several times and plan to in the future. I'm very comfortable recommending this hotel

Our stay was great. The staff was nice and friiendly, breakfast was very good and the location to my family that lives in Holly Hill was awesome!!! When we return to SC in the near future we will certainly stay with you again!!!

We are snowbirds for the past 8 years and have tried various motels/hotels on our 3 night journey to Florida. For the price range this has been one of our best choices so will book again on our way back north. Having a decent restaurant within walking distance is also a plus for us. Very pleased with staff, room and breakfast.

The best price/quality choice among the higher level motel type hotel. Had been a Hampton Inn customer until their usually $100 or less charge per night became $150; so I tried Best Western and found it to be at least as good for two-thirds the price.

Nice, quiet motel. Nice decor, comfortable rooms. Breakfast has been better during previous stays. Only hot food was prepackaged and had to be heated or prepared by guest. Good restaurant next door for dinner.

We booked another hotel in Santee South Carolina when we went to check in after driving 12 hours the receptionist informed us that we couldn't pay cash until the morning and I called and asked if I could before I booked the room so we went to the best western down the street and they had rooms and it was no problem checking in and everything was great we had breakfast in the morning and continued our trip to Florida and I signed up for the rewards program and we'll be staying at best western from now on thanks

Beds were comfortable and the breakfast was excellent - hot items as well as muffins and bagels. I didn't use the restaurant, but I will next time. My neighbors in the morning were a little loud but the hotel couldn't help that. All in all - I will stay here again and maybe use a few more of their amenities.

Beautiful, well maintained and exceptionally clean facility! All single level with several buildings. We were in 2nd building. Other than frequent emergency vehicles, itt was quiet. Right off I-95. Friendly staff. Room was very clean! Microwave and large fridge! Bed was very comfy. Nice towels! Room had a table but no chairs suitable for using the table. No desk area. Breakfast area was right off the lobby. It was cold and raining so we had to drive to the front. Parking up front was a problem. Very large selection of food items. First place I've ever stayed at they had grits already prepared. However, hot food items were NOT hot. There was a microwave available, however for food safety, it must be maintained at a certain temperature. The sausage gravy was not even warm. Other than the food safety issues, the food was good. I would definitely stay at this location again.

This is our go to place to stay en route to Florida. The rooms, furniture, TV, pool, etc. are always in great shape and the experience is quiet and comfortable. Highly recommended. The Captains Quarters on site means you don't have to get back in the car to go and eat. It also serves excellent food and wine.

This is our preferred place to stop when driving from Pa to Florida . Easy on and off 95. Parking right outside door of room. Rooms and entire facility clean and comfortable. Good restaurant next door so no need to get back in car and drive to dinner. Free breakfast is good...usual offerings but enoupgh variety to satisfy .

Very well run property close to interstate with good beds, clean rooms and generous breakfast. Great value also. Old fashioned building with exterior entrances but felt safe. We were able to bring our dog for a small fee and there is a good area to walk in.

I wish I had checked on this before we went. The doors were on the outside and cars were parked right up to the doors. Which meant at 5am when the loud truck was leaving it woke us all up. The parking spots are tiny!!! No joke! Room was clean, front desk staff were friendly and the entrance was decorated nicely.

Just stoped here on the way to Florida. It's motel style, you park right in front of your room which is ground level. Rooms are very large, clean and there is no road noise. Beds are very comfortable. There are a variety of places to eat dinner within one mile or less. There is a hot breakfast included. Great value. I'll will stop there again.

One level, park-at-your-door property. Extremely clean and well appointed, especially for an “I-95”motel. Modern rooms,nice pool and lobby. Room smelled like it was just cleaned as we walked in. Easy check in.

After a bad experience with BW in TN I was reluctant to try again. But I did and as m so happy I did. I will be making this my stop going to and from my Florida home on a yearly basis and will stay longer

Have been staying at this hotel at least twice a year for many years now.I would not consider another hotel in the area. Great overall experience.The staff is very accommodating me. We are usually seven or eight needing handicapped, smoking and non smoking rooms.

I stay here several times a year on my trips back and forth to NY. It is always a reliable, restful, rewarding respite on what can be a long drive. Staff are pleasant and professional, rooms are always very clean and comfortable, and one of the best free breakfasts. Plus it's easy on, easy off from 95.

Stayed on our way home to Florida. This place is great! Great service, very clean, nice quiet room, close to I-95. Fast efficient, check-in. Breakfast was delicious. Food was fresh and hot with good variety. Scrambled eggs, ham, sausage, sausage gravy, grits, waffles, sweet rolls, fruit, etc. The restaurant next door was superb and within easy walking distance. Pet friendly with a good area to walk dogs. Our stay was more like a vacation than a trip home. We will definitely stay here any time we are in the area. We had not stayed in a Best Western in years, but if this is how they are now we will definitely try more.

We stayed one night, check in was easy and quick with friendly front desk staff. We like to drive up and park outside of room. Room was very clean, newer carpet. Beds a little too firm for my husband and myself, bed linens were modern and comfortable. Delicious breakfast included in stay. Good steak/seafood restaurant right next door. Would definitely stay again.

The rooms were clean, the breakfast is one of the best we have experienced and we stay in motels quiet often. The resturant is absolutely a must! Everything was delicious, typically you don't find a meal that everything is perfect but ours was. We were a party of four, each ordering differently and everything was delicious. Enjoy the pleasant resturant staff as well.

This place is right off 95 exit 98. The hotel is very clean. Didn't get a chance to ride the golf course but it looks very nice. The restaurant is fabulous. I had lasagna that was the best. My husband had shrimp scampi that was delicious.

Once again the high point was the restaurant in the parking lot. It is the main reason I booked here. However, there was a major problem with check in. First, where is the smile and greeting? Next, the key card would not work. The maintenance man came and used a key card that did work. When the door opened there were suitcases on the floor and personal items on the table. Obviously the room was occupied. We returned to the office. One of the ladies reached in and handed me keys to another room. We were already checked in it appeared!! There was no apology or any acknowledgement of the huge mistake. I will book here again, but I would recommend the staff get a bit of training.

The outside decor of the hotel was very attractive, the room was extremely clean, the amenities full-on, and the staff went out of their way to make sure I had everything I needed. The restaurant next door was exceptional, the food five-star.

Stopped in to this Best Western on our way home as we had stayed in one at Hilton Head. This was our 3rd hotel of our trip. The room was very outdated but very clean - carpet has to go. There was also an odd odor - not sure if due to we were in a pet-friendly room. Staff was friendly.

The staff was awesome. Many good choices for breakfast in lobby.Room was very nice! So quiet. Pet friendly! There is also a great Mexican restaurant within walking distance...Armondo's. Right on route 95! Exit 98.

My husband and I choose the Best Western Santee every year on our way to FL. The staff is always professional and the free buffet breakfast is wonderful as is the attendant who runs the breakfast room. The rooms are neat and clean with very comfortable beds and linens. This year, however, I did find the WiFi service to be spotty. Repeatedly had to sign in. I would recommend this facility if in the area

Truck lights and motor noise kept us up until 1:00am, when I called front desk, they said, “oh we are sorry our maintainence man is having truck problems.” In the morning the manager, never getting up from her chair, said, sorry but that is where he parks and he was having car trouble...hope you have safe travels.

While this property is clean and convenient to the interstate and restaurants, we've stayed here for the last time. 45 minutes after checking out, we realized we left a Fitbit in the room. Since we were 50 miles away, we decided to call and ask to have the item mailed to our next stop (A Best Western in Daytona Beach). We were told housekeeping did not find the item. We know exactly were the item was left and it could not have been missed during cleanup. Travelers beware of this property. It was our fault to leave an item behind but dishonesty is inexcusable.

On our way home from Orlando, we had stayed here before. The last time we were her they were doing some construction work outside and in several of the rooms. Love the new wall fixtures, freshly looking paint on the walls, the new flooring with great looking carpeting, which must be hard to keep clean as the hotel is a pet friendly hotel! This was our second or third time at this hotel, but this chain seems to be consistently very good in terms of hotel stay quality and standards. They know good customer care and it shows! They have clean, comfortable sized rooms, with beds that make sleep much easier that some chain hotels (some hotels must believe that the bigger and harder the bed, the better), their computer internet service worked fine and best of all, our SUV was able to be parked right outside our room. Making it so much easier to handle the luggage both coming and going. Breakfast had good options and staff was attentive. Will be happy to stay here again! It is one of 2 places we stay at when in this area.

Really nice pool area, and the entire grounds appeared clean and neat. Check-in smooth. Room had a very musty smell. Shower curtain rod falling down on both ends. Light (heat lamp?) in bathroom didn't work, but you could see up into the bowels of the ceiling. Very old and outdated. The light next to the bed had a push button switch that was missing the top ring that held it in the fixture, so when you try to turn it on or off, the entire (metal pushbutton) switch disappears into the metal fixture. Definitely was scared that my wife would be electrocuted, and that it would short out and cause a fire. There was a nice vinyl upholstered recliner chair, which was comfortable, and the room was a good size. All the pillows were super tiny on a king sized bed. While this seems to be the norm since we stayed at 3 Best Westerns this trip in three different states, and they all had the tiny pillow thing going, we'd rather have regular sized pillows. Breakfast was good… hot scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, coffee, biscuits and gravy, grits, assortment of dry cereal, and a woman keeping the area clean. Best part of the stay. Area has nothing much going on, but there's a cool country store very nearby and a few decent restaurants. A bonus is that this motel is literally right off the highway exit.

In a world of modern high rise hotels, this classic hotel was a treat for the senses. Lush plantings, comfortable outdoor lounging (including large hammocks) makes for pleasant stay. Most welcoming staff. Love the new flooring as carpeting is just nasty considering it is a pet friendly hotel. Only negative- please paint the woodwork.

This was our first time at this hotel but the chain seems consistent in terms of quality and standards. Clean rooms, comfortable beds, internet worked fine and best of all the vehicle was parked right outside our room making it a breeze to handle luggage. Breakfast had good options and staff was attentive. Will be happy to stay here again.

A nice budget motel. Next to a great restaurant. The service is great and all the employees we encountered were very friendly. We especially love the complementary breakfast, which is always tasty and fresh.

Visit to Santee South Carolina on our way back to Port St Lucie Florida. I love this hotel because it's close to a golf course if we decide to play and the restaurant next door is very good. We always eating this restaurant

We recently stayed at the Best Western Plus Santee, South Carolina. We found it to be an excellent hotel. It was clean, nice bed, nice shower with plenty of hot water and a friendly staff. It is a nice half way point for us driving to and from Easton, Maryland to southwest Florida. There are plenty of restaurants close by including Cracker Barrel. We will definitely stay here again on our trips up and down 95.

Stopped here while traveling from FL to Maryland. We were tired and needed a place to crash because we left later than planned so we stopped and luckily they had a last minute cancellation because every hotel/motel was booked for some event that weekend. This place was great. The staff was super friendly and the room was clean. I highly recommend this place if you need to stop while traveling or visiting the area. I would stay here again without hesitation.

The hotel had a wonderful staff, served an excellent breakfast. the rooms have very clean in the 3 times I have stayed here. There is an excellent golf course next door and a wonderful restaurant adjacent to hotel where you can get a great seafood dinner.

Stay here every time we travel I95 going North and south Very Clean & nice rooms, tv and internet always work great. They have good breakfast great coffee. Restaurant next door great food. Fast checkout.

We stopped here on the way to FL. The area seems a bit sketch. The motel was fine. Rooms were clean, showers hot and beds comfortable. The rooms could use a good update. They're dated and wearing down. Carpet pulling up, paint bubble/peeling. Free hot breakfast was just okay. You get what you pay for.

If you want a quiet sleep, go elsewheres...check-ins at 2 AM, 3 AM, etc...Also all the pillows in the room were huge, need a mixture of sizes. The breakfast buffet was not refilled in a timely manner and stuff ran out.

My granddaughter Kaitlyn and I left NY at 5:00AM. We got to Santee Best Western Plus around 7PM. We were tired and hungry. Check in was fast. She(the receptionist) told us about the pool and about breakfast in the morning. She(the receptionist) also told us about the restaurant next door. A nice seafood place. We couldn't be happier. I loved our room. The bathroom was clean, the floor wasn't tacky. We did have dinner next door and it was good. We went back to the room and both of us were too exhausted to go in the pool. The beds were so comfortable hated to get up!! In the morning we showered and went for breakfast. Food was good and hot. Coffee was fresh. We left about 8AM and headed to Saint Petersburg Florida. I would stay at the Best Western Plus in Santee again and would recommend this hotel to everyone. Thank you Best Western Plus for having a real nice place.

We accidentally booked wrong hotel of the highway going to my sons wedding. They changed our hotel and were so helpful to me, my daughter and 2 grandsons. We were so tired the desk clerk was so helpful.

We spnt 6 nights at the Best Western Santee. Every thing was great. Very quiet and friendly place at night and during the day. Nice restaurants nearby. Breakfast was great and had a varied menu. Beds were comfortable. Bathroom had a chair height toilet (that was important for me at 76 years of age).

We stay here 6 times per year on our way to/from our Florida condo. They welcome our small dogs and have smoking rooms. The staff is very friendly. There are numerous eating options close by. Rooms are clean and comfortable.

Reviews for this hotel was untrue. The insects lined the corner of the ceiling and walls, spiders. the carpet was nasty and rat or roach traps behind the dresser. Rings in the tub and House Keeping Service was bad, these people ask like they paid for the room and were mad because of we reported the insects and was given another room..If they had cleaned the rooms I'm sure that it would not have smell like sewer and the insect would not have been lining the walls. No one rested comfortable. Couldn't wait to leave.

This place is Excellent!! Nice employees - clean & quiet hotel with nice beds & Excellent Hot Breakfast!!. Plus, plus they are in the Hotel coupon book from the rest area but I would have paid full price too - Slept like a rock & was refreshed in the AM & ready to continue my long trip.

We stayed here on our way to Disney. Kind of a half way point. Arrived and was checked in by 2 very friendly ladies. I had a reservation for 2 rooms, we got checked in quickly with no hassle. Arrived to a clean room, had dinner at the Captains Quarters beside really good seafood, then went swimming in their nice sized pool. They keep delicious cookies out in the lobby too. Breakfast the next day was really good too. Better than most. My only complaint is one of the breezeways between the rooms, seems to be the junkyard. Old A/C units and mattresses just laying out in the open. Really takes away from the nice appeal of the rest of the property.

the hotel is very cute, very clean and has the best scenario if you are traveling with dogs. you go directly to your room from the ground floor, the rooms for dogs are in the back close to a great area with grass. The hotel is quiet and the staff is wonderful. this was a great find on our way from CT to FL!

Always like staying here, they keep things clean and the breakfast is good with nice options. It is an older ground floor level motel, but don't let that fool you, it is up to date with all the options of a newer motel. The pool is nice size and secluded, has a laundry and small workout room. Easy access to 95 if needed, and plenty of good restaurants other than the usual fast food if you want something different. Friendly staff that will take care of you with the southern hospitality that is appreciated and refreshing versus other places in the world I have stayed.

On our long trip from Virginia to Florida and back, we are always glad to get here. The rooms are always very clean and check in and out is very easy. So glad to have such a convenient place to pull in to. We like that we can just pull right up to our room and get what we need out of the car. The free breakfast is nothing fancy but gets us going for the day. Love the grits!

Whenever I travel in that direction, Best Western Santee is my stay choice for the night. Clean, comfortable, homey. Pleasant staff. Adding to that, the restaurant next door for dinner is fantastic and they make the best Margaritas.

We stayed previously and our coupon was honored but only because a employee pointed out it should. This time we called when we were an hour away and told they employee who we were and we would be there soon. When we arrived our coupon was not honored. The employee even threatened to charge our credit card though we had not been given a confirmation number when we called. The previous employee was not there Only the employee who tried to charge us $50 more last time. I hate that Santee will no longer be a place we will stop. Easy to find, staff was wonderful and friendly. Pool was very nice and clean. Breakfast was wonderful and there were a lot of choices. Room was clean and beds comfortable. Shower/Tub and Toilet were a little dated but the sink was very nice. Would for sure stay again.

This was a great hotel. Clean, friendly. The beds were very comfortable. We had a dog with us & the pet friendly room was spotless. The restaurant on the grounds was fabulous too! Breakfast was complimentary.

very comfortable room with the most comfortable furniture, easy chair and desk chair I have ever seen! Bed was also very comfortable. The staff helped us swap rooms when we discovered the toilets were not comfort height in our initial room. The handicapped room was perfect!

This was an excellent hotel. Good location, as it was very close to the Main highway in Santee and could walk to other restaurants. Large spacious rooms but the washroom was very small and bathtubs could use a renovation.

We stay here frequently when we travel through the area. We notice they ar consistantly maintaining and taking care of the rooms. We commented on how great the mattress was...I mentioned it at the desk and they said yes, they have replaced the matresses recently. They were painting rooms at the other end of the wing we were on. Always a good stay. And the breakfast is nice.

The free breakfast was nice, good varieties. The pool was very nice, sitting by the pool was very relaxing and the fresh baked cookies that were provided free of charge were delicious. All the staff was very friendly.

For some reason, I used to view anything best western as old, stiffly and probably not clean. I am pleased to say I was dead wrong about this hotel/motel. It is clean, very well maintained, and almost cute when you arrive at night and the place is well decorated with lites. The desk person was polite and the breakfast hardy. Well done for a little over $100.

I recommend this Best Western for your stop along I-95 in South Carolina. It is clean, friendly and quiet. It's not new but kept up very well. The morning breakfast is very good and comes with the price of the room. Just slightly over $100 is a bargain for all the conveniences that the hotel gives. I will be stopping here again.

Excellent hotel and excellent restaurant right next door, Captain's Quarters! The free breakfast was more than you could ask for. Loved the firm mattresses and pillows! Only drawback was another guest arriving at 1:00AM was a bit noisy unloading their car.

My family and I had a great experience staying at Best Western. Good service and amenities. Loved the heater outdoor pool. It really added to my husband's 38th class reunion experience as well as our families mini vacation.

Will not stay here again. Carpet was dirty, air conditioner sounded like it was on its last leg. Bath room was so tiny. Sorry to say I did not complain, too tired from driving all day. Staff not friendly at all.

We were encouraged to stay at the Santee Best Western Plus by friends who had come there regularly. They liked the motel and the fact that there was a seafood restaurant next door. Unfortunately, we arrived too late to go to the restaurant, but we were pleased with the Inn. All the rooms are ground level and we were in the back part of the Inn, which meant we had a very quiet night for sleeping. The room was relatively spacious and actually had two places to sit - unlike many other motels we have stayed in. The only disappointment was the fact that the breakfast area was small and hard to maneuver around in. The breakfast itself was pretty much the same as in Choice hotels, but the layout was not very intuitive. Would recommend staying at the Inn, though, and would suggest making reservations at the Captain's Table next door in advance - if you can predict when you will arrive.

The hotel was dated, but very clean. The staff were efficient. The bed was extremely comfortable. All in all, it was worth the price. There were restaurants nearby with quick access to I-95. The. Bathroom, though, was narrow, so a wheel chair would not fit into the bathroom.

We stay here about 6 times a year on our way to/from our Florida for over 3 years. It is clean, friendly, and accept our two little dogs. No steps..park right outside the room. Not fancy, but perfect for us. Several eating opportunities close by.

We were happy to back our car up right to the room. The room was clean and nicely decorated. We would stay here again. Easy on and off I-95. 3 golf courses close by if you want to play golf after check-in.

We spent two nights in Santee, SC at this Best Western. The room was average,very quiet, the beds extremely comfortable, the breakfast area was very clean and the array of food was good, hot, and plentiful.

This is obviously an older hotel but it is scrupulously clean. My objection is that the mattresses are way too firm for me. My husband noticed that too but it didn't bother him. I tossed and turned all night because I just couldn't get comfortable. Also the bathroom is in the split configuration with the sink outside the rest of the bathroom. I find that design really awkward but obviously others like it or hotels wouldn't do it. Aside from those issues of personal preference, the hotel seems fine. Again, it's very clean, the towels re thick and nice, lots of water pressure in the shower, and the breakfast is satisfying .

Access is so easy and convenient. Free breakfast is great! The Help is amazing,. I left my cellphone in the room after checkout. My sister called y phone and the front desk clerk at the hotel answered and said she was holding it there for me or she could mail it. We returned to the hotel and they even let us go back to the room to retrieve the pie and candy and food we accidentally left in the refrigerator!

Best western / Holiday Inn on our way to Florida we like to stay at best western plus. On our way down to Florida the one we like to stay at was full so we stayed at the Holiday Inn across the street. What a dump sorry double the price and no breakfast and not clean. Woke up with bites on my neck and got shocked using the hear dryer . They did call me and said sorry . Just not anything like the Best western right across the street . Hands down so much better and half the price.

Our stay was enjoyable. Staff was very friendly & helpful. Room was clean & spacious. Only complaint was the bathroom needs some upgrading. very small & lighting/exhaust fan didn't work properly. Staff recommended restaurant next door which was exceptional. Will be staying again on our return trip home.

Great BW+ hotel, great breakfast buffet, rooms have outside access so you can park in front, hotel has heated pool although we did not use it. The express checkout was great. Breakfast buffet had a wide choice.

We have stayed here before, this time we had our small beagle and called to inquire as to the pet policy. Dogs to 20lb so stayed again, a very comfortable motel, bathrooms somewhat dated but rooms nicely furnished. They put you in the back with plenty of space to walk the dog. There is a driving range and golf course right behind which I had not noticed last year. Adjacent to the Captains Quarters for a very pleasant and relaxing dinner after a long day on the road? $20 pet charge.

Stopped here on our way to Florida. A cute little hotel with a decent breakfast. Good mattress, clean room, hot shower with pressure, good internet speed and 4 HBO channels - that's all you need for a quick overnight stay and this hotel had it.

Stayed for one night while traveling to destination. Friendly people adequate breakfast and nice beds offered good nights sleep. We normaly only stay in hotels one or two nights while traveling and find Best Westerns to be clean and friendly with hot breakfast.

This best western plus was the best we have ever stayed at including some huge metropolitan hotels of high reputation here and abroad It's a little off our route but we wouldn't hesitate to always go out of our way to go there

We stayed here on the way to FL and on the way back. Clean, spacious and convenient. Lovely grounds and pool. The usual fare for breakfast- but well arranged- they care! Comfortable beds. Best Western seems to have changed their pillows since we last stayed at one- but they are very small.

Very clean and a good breakfast but there was no bacon. Easy to get to right off the highway. Liked parking right outside our room, unloading and loading the car was easy. Will stay here again. Maybe next we will get to use the pool.

The hotel was perfect for a stopover up I-95 from Daytona. We were driving from Daytona to Pittsburgh and needed a place to catch some zzz's. The hotel was SO CLOSE to where I-95 meets Route 26 (to get to I-77), it was PERFECT. The price was great, and the staff was super friendly. Due to the length of the race and traffic, we didn't check in till 2 AM. Not a problem, they called to confirm we were still arriving, instead of just giving our room away. The hotel itself has a vintage feel with the rooms around the parking lot facing outside (no inside hallways). The hotel was quiet, the pillows were comfortable, and the beds allowed for a perfect nights sleep for two exhausted people from a long day. I highly recommend a stay. For the price, its 5 starts. The hotel also offers express checkout, and free hot breakfast. Thank you to the staff and hotel for being perfect. A+

There was nothing special about this hotel. I had tried to get into the Hampton Inn but they were full. If I was expecting something comparable, I would have been disappointed. We had a handicap room, pillows and bed were nothing to write home about it was like sleeping in someone's guest room. The ice maker was not in close proximity to our room and the breakfast was just okay. All in all, a very average stay.

Great place to stay. They converted an older motel into a nice staying facility. It was clean and the staff extremely friendly. Great stay and price was even better. Breakfast was plentiful and a wide variety. Will definitely be staying here again.

This BW is just about perfect for our annual drives from NJ to Florida. The location is terrific (right off I-95), is within walking distance or a short drive to several quality restaurants, and is right next door to a fabulous golf facility. The motel is always well maintained and the staff is professional and helpful.

We overnighted here on our way to Florida with our dogs and we were surprised at how nice this hotel was. Not cheap, but only one 20.00 pet fee with 2 dogs. The room was very clean with a comfortable bed. Usually "pet friendly" rooms are the worst rooms at the hotel, but not here. I would definitely recommend this if traveling with dogs.

The reviews looked good and a $70 coupon convinced us it was worth a go. Great reception. Very friendly. My wife has alergies and we were able to get one of the rooms that are not pet friendly. I wish all hotels would follow their lead. We love animals but usually have to stay at a place that does not allow pets. A nice compromise. The receptionist also recommended the next door Captain's Club Restaurant that I have rated as 5 star. This hotel is built like a motel. All one level with your car parked outside. Inside and out it is way better than a motel. Very clean and modern. We will be returning here on our return trip. If you are lucky enough to grab a coupon at the SC visitors centre you will have an incredible rate of $70. Even if you pay more it is a great buy.

This overnight stop was recommended by a friend who drives to Florida every year. The location was good for easy on and off from I-95. Check-in was quick and we had a unit toward the back of the property since I requested a quiet room when making my reservation. I was initially skeptical about staying in a place that had no interior corridor, but it worked out fine. (There was no rain or ice). There are ice machines in breezeways midway down the row of rooms, and also a utility room with soda machines and a washer and dryer. The staff was friendly and efficient. The breakfast was one of the better ones we have had recently - the eggs were tasty, there were slices of ham and sausage. They had a yogurt machine that dispensed vanilla yogurt and there were toppings like granola and fruit you could add. The staff kept replenishing everything and cleaning the tables when guests left. Our room was clean and the towels were larger than some at other places where we stay overnight. There is free Internet access.

Stayed here because of the glowing reviews. Can't say I was impressed. Very near I 95 which was great. Very disappointed because it was a motel style with rooms accessed only from the parking lot. We were at the back . Did not feel completely safe and hate that kind of hotel in the winter time. For breakfast, had to put on a winter coat to traipse outside to reach breakfast. Other than that , it was clean, comfortable beds, and adequate. No fanciness here.

We arranged to stop at this hotel because of the travel delays we arrived at 2 a.m. the registering representative was so welcoming. The maid service was extremely friendly and they have great parking for our two vehicles we were both towing 22' trailers no problem. Very clean!! We will stop back to this location again!!

Just a one night getaway to go play Bingo at Viejas and not have to drive back same day. Very helpful staff(put out couple of bags in room before we returned. The Hot tub needed some work and they were aware of, just had not been done. I don't care for untrimmed palm trees in the pool area. Very messy. Nice breakfast offered. Clean, comfortable room.

The hotel is tired, but clean. It is okay if you are just traveling through but NOT if you want a quiet night's sleep. The parking lot is outside the room's door, which means every person who parks, goes into their room, or out to smoke, is going to sound just like they are IN your room. The breakfast was in a crowded room, made more so by the Christmas tree. On the plus side, the beds were comfortable, the water pressure good for a shower, and across the parking lot is The Captain's Quarters which was a nice place for dinner.

Second stop on a drive from Ottawa to Florida. It was a long day so we arrived around 9:45pm but no issues with check-in, and you park directly in front of your room. Nicely maintained hotel, lots of food options within walking or short driving distance. Good breakfast buffet options in the morning. Would definitely stop here again or recommend it to others. By the way check out the Exxon station just in front of the hotel, lots of local products: we bought delicious peach cider, pralines, and homemade turtles.

Coming back from a cruise out of FL, we faced unexpected snow storm at home in NC. This BW was a pleasant find when we discovered we would not be able to make it home due to the weather. We will stay here in the future, when traveling.

We found this particular Best Western Plus to be a very modern, updated and exceptionally clean motel. Our single complaint was that the bathroom was rather small. I would recommend staying here to anyone looking for a stay in this area.

This hotel is clean and comfortable as well as being easy to get to from I95. It also has a feel of a resort from the welcoming front porch with rocking chairs and tables to the landscaped courtyard pool area.

My mother and I recently spent the night here on our trip south from New Jersey. The room was very nice, and the morning breakfast was equal to Hampton Inn or Holiday Inn. Front desk staff was very polite and extremely helpful. I will definitely make this a stop again on future trips.

We used a coupon from a rest area magazine and got a good rate. The room was dated( but did have usb outlets in the bedside lamp), but it was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the shower was great. There was a small fridge and a microwave. The breakfast was standard midlevel motel food. The staff was friendly and efficient. I would stay here again.

We always enjoyed the gracious, personal service at the Best Western Santee Inn; but, we had not stayed there for several years as our travel took us in different directions. We were thrilled to find the hotel - with guest rooms now thoroughly renovated and breakfast buffet expanded - is even better than we remembered! While driving home from a wedding in Virginia, we made it to Santee, SC and were exhausted. Our first choice hotel was sold out and this hotel was across the street. We were tired and decided to give it a shot. We checked in and got a room. This hotel had multiple buildings and ours was in the back on the left. When we got in to the room, we do our standard check, and sadly the first thing we found was a roach on the table. We continued to inspect the room and while we didn't see any more roaches, we found the beds infected with bed bugs. Thankfully, we hadn't brought anything into the room and proceeded to leave and get a refund. It was truly sad that a hotel that's supposed to be a Plus or better than normal was in such shoddy shape. I sincerely hope that management corrects the problem. I doubt I'll ever stop at that location again.

Always try to stay at this hotel on trips to Fla. we are snowbirds and this hotel is convenient clean and directly off I95. The breakfast is plentiful and the room is always clean. There are no animals permitted and primary reason for our stay. No offense to the animal owners but I no longer have them and prefer to stay where not permitted.

We stayed at this BW the weekend of October 7, two nights, thru Oct. 8. Was clean, staff friendly, and the breakfast was very good! Great selection, hot breakfast. Weekends and Saturday served from 6 a.m. - 9:30 a.m. Sunday's until 10 a.m. One of the better breakfast's I've had at any hotel. The structure of the hotel has been around for awhile, maybe 20+ years. Has been renovated, but older. Bed comfortable. Hotel is all ground floors, no second floors rooms at all. The hotel is very spread out. Quiet location just off I-95. I'd recommend it.

Great place to stop for a round of golf and great accomodations. Was on my way up north and decided to stop for the night, got a round of golf in and had an awesome dinner at Pedro's. Found out BWP has awesome golf packages throughout the year...

Smiling staff, CLEAN pool, nice room, real breakfast ( BACON) off of the interstate....what more can you ask for? This hotel is older, but the rooms are large, well maintained and the staff is super friendly.

During the recent hurricane we evacuated to Santee BW. After our 2nd day with the storm approaching they post a sign stating if power goes out no refunds. How would they expect GUESTS to stay in s dark room with no A/C? We immediately checked out. How greedy can this world get? People at a vulnerable time , taken advantage of . No more Best Western, should be Worst Western.

Much better than some other motels we've tried in the area. Never stayed here before because we didn't think they allowed pets. We travel with two mini dachshunds. We were very pleasantly surprised. It is well kept and clean. They have a more than adequate breakfast with a nice variety of food...grits, sausage gravy and biscuits, eggs, waffles, etc. Desk personnel were friendly. Bonus: it's next door to Captain's Quarters, a great restaurant with great food and service. Definitely found our new best place to stay in Santee.

Stopped here for the night on the way to Hilton Head and was quite pleased. Friendly staff, clean and comfortable room and centrally located.Also has a pool. Free breakfast was fine and much less expensive than Hampton Inn while being comparable.

I have never stayed here because I lived in the area but I have had friends that stayed here and were very pleased. I know the owners and I know they run a very nice, clean motel. Everyone is very friendly that works there and they support the community.

This hotel is as good as it gets for a roadside highway hotel. The rooms were spotless. They had nice designer soaps in the bathroom. The free breakfast was extensive and the food was fresh. This is the place to stop in Santee.

I cannot say enough great things about this Best Western Plus. Great location, decor, extremely clean, a wonderful caring staff that really take pride in their work and the condition of the property. Everything about our stay was top notch. I will definitely return.

The family stayed here on the way to Charleston for a cruise. Rooms and pool were excellent. The Captain's Quarters Resturant next door was excellent. Only negative there were no gluten free options at breakfast for family with an allergy

We have stayed here several times over the years. There is no question that this is the best value at this exit. There are more expensive beds to rent and there are lower priced hotels but this one is just right. The staff has been there for several years. Breakfast was excellant with someone always there replenishing anything that needs it. The restaurant right next door is also superb..the Captains Quarters The one small issue was that I tried to reserve through Trip Advisor but couldn't and had to call the hotel direct.

I reserved my room on Best Western's official website. Once we were all checked in and received the bill, I realized they were actually charging me more than the price I booked for online.. I was advised there was no one there I could speak to at that time and I'd have to come back the next morning to speak with a manager.. I never got the opportunity to speak with her because I was there to attend a funeral.. I just didn't understand how the price could all of a sudden change.. needless to say, I'll never stay there again..

Great little place to stop at to stay a night or two. Small pool but ok for the kids. Clean rooms. Friendly and helpful staff. Great place to eat walking distance from your door. We will stay here again.

Nice lobby, large pool and nice outdoor table/chair area. Rooms are okay at best. Bed is nice with fresh crisp sheets and then you move to the bathroom. Tub tile is old and moldy with heavy chalk applied, ceiling looks like it has had several leaks and has mold growing which is very unhealthy. Could be a nice place with a little updating and renovation. Enjoy!

Was working in the area for a few days and stayed at this hotel since had best price with breakfast included. Hotel was okay, what you would expect for price. Staff you could tell did not want to be there and were rude to some of the older guest at breakfast. The room was nice and had a comfortable bed though!

We have stayed here on three trips. Price is right. Grounds and rooms are well kept. I love the many Crepe Myrtle trees on the grounds. There is a pool and a seafood restaurant right next door. Staff is friendly, professional, and helpful. Rooms have microwave, refrigerator, and usual amenities. All rooms on first floor, and you may park your vehicle right outside your door.

Well maintained grounds. Was able to park right in front of room. Relaxing pool for mid-afternoon dip. Coffee available all day and night. Usual breakfast fare for Best Western--preformed eggs, make your own waffle and packaged pastries.

We welcome the opportunity to stay here when passing through on our way from South Florida to the Northeast, which is about once per year, but we still enjoy the stopover. The hotel is quite cozy, clean and well maintained. It's been upgraded, it seems, since our last visit, and all is very pretty. We called from the road, and the desk clerk was very friendly and got us taken care of, and also signed me up for the rewards program at the same time. Nice upselling! We also enjoyed the lobby breakfast in the morning.

Hotel was amazing. We will stay there again when we visit. I just wish they would extend their breakfast to 10:30. So people won't have to wake up so early to eat. Other then that hotel was very nice.

Stayed mid-May on Florida/New York trip. Pet friendly,somewhat dated,very clean,surprisingly nicely landscaped,3 to 5 foot pool which children took full advantage of. Very comfortable bed,2 comfortable chairs. TV with extensive channels including 4 HBO and ESPN selections. 240 units -all ground level. Very good breakfast including eggs and sausage. Early check-in (1 PM) which we took advantage of. Next door to public golf course where we took an evening walk. Next-door to Captains Quarters seafood/steak restaurant. Will return

Have been stopping here for many moons, never had a bad experience, hopefully will never. Ideal location, ground floor units, all kinds of restaurant's , and gas stations. And if your a golfer you got a golf course right next door. Also, I never used a out door pool for your kids.

We arrived at 11 pm and told her that I had some gift cards if she had not charged the room to card yet/. She too both $50 cards and one was not working and she said that I just need to call the BW tomorrow and correct the problem. I called and apparently there was a small problem with some of the gift cards and that they had cancelled all the era and had people call in. They activated mine immediately and I used it in the next evening in Barbourville, WV. Breakfast is very nice and clean with a full time lady assisting all and very helpful and accommodating. The staff and crew is excellent I have stayed at almost all along this stretch of I_95 and this is undoubtedly the absolute cleanest and nicest over several years.

My husband and I were looking for a quiet place to stay for the night on our second honeymoon road trip from Orlando back home to Virginia. He convinced me to splurge a little more and find a nicer hotel, so we decided to give the Best Western in Santee, SC, try. BEST CHOICE EVER! The little extra we paid was well worth it! First of all, my husband has a wheelchair and needs an accessible room. Best Western was more than willing to help us, and we were both VERY impressed by the TRULY accessible bedroom and bathroom! He had plenty of comfort and ease when using the shower, as it was a true roll-in shower (vs. the traditional tub/shower combo offered even in many "accessible" rooms). My husband was very appreciative that he could clean up after a long day of driving. Secondly, this place had a delicious hot breakfast open from 6-9:30 AM. We were treated to hot eggs, sausage, hash browns, fruit, a waffle maker, oatmeal, cereals, yogurts, and so much more! The meal was a wonderful start to our morning. I was extremely impressed by their selection of hot items. The hard-working and dedicated Best Western employees made sure to refresh items that ran out and made sure that everyone had plenty to eat. Thank you so much for your hard work, Best Western staff! The third thing we really appreciated about this particular hotel was its location. Directly next store is a fine dining establishment called the Captain's Quarters. My husband and I ate a DELICIOUS dinner there, and it was all within walking distance from our hotel room. I love the fact that we didn't have to return to the open road to find something edible for dinner, and this was so much better than just "edible." The dinner at this restaurant was AMAZING, a place not to be missed! Finally, I had the BEST night of sleep I think I have had in YEARS at this hotel. I am not kidding. I'm the mom of two young kids, so ordinarily I'm lucky to get 7-8 hours a night back at home. Even on vacation, I was averaging 7-8 hours of sleep, if that, and by the return trip home, I felt very tired. By 9:30, I crashed, falling asleep to "The Big Bang Theory" on their nice spacious flatscreen TV, and I woke up at 8 AM the following morning, something I have not done in YEARS. I honestly felt revived and refreshed and truly ready for the rest of the drive home. I lament that I did not get the pleasure of using the hotel's gym or swimming pool, but this hotel is probably one of the most comfortable hotels I have stayed in while traveling, and my husband and I already hope to stop here again the next time we visit Florida. This was a random pick for us as we were traveling. They had great beds, a nice clean and well kept pool, and great water pressure. It was a great price too for the 4 of us. Great pick! We would definitely stay again.

Good bed, good breakfast. Rooms need a bit of caulk and care, but don't let that stop you. This is a good place. The pool would be a hit with kids or grandkids. The nearby restaurants are affordable and the good is excellent. I have been through here many times, and I will stay at the BW in Santee again.

Very convenient to I95 on our trip from Southwest Florida to Western Pennsylvania. Staff was welcoming and efficient upon checking. Property very clean and nicely landscaped with a nice small pool. Rooms are all on ground level. Very clean and spacious rooms with dated but nice decor. Bathrooms are large but in serious need of renovation. Failing plaster in shower, very loud exhaust fan, etc). Breakfast was great with a large variety of fresh selections. Pricing was attractive. Overall a great value for a single night stay. We will probably stay there again when we make our return trip south.

Beautiful spacious CLEAN rooms, convenient on- off location from I 95 & a very welcoming hotel staff. The front desk clerks were very friendly & efficient. Spacious parking lot in & security was a priority. I will be returning when I can visit longer.

We were travelling to Daytona Beach , Fla. from NJ and after 12hrs in the car decided to stay at a BW Hotel . We found BW Santee was about 20 min south of our location on 95 , called and the front desk was very helpful , As a BW Rewards member they held the room without a deposit ,nice touch. Check in was very easy and quick , and then dinner recommendations for a nice restaurant were provided with in walking distance (next to hotel ).Breakfast the next morning was very good and tasty , Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone travelling on 95 and find themselves looking for a great place to stay

Overall a good stay at this property. Staff was friendly and helpful. Room is bright and the property was neat and well maintained. Breakfast was complete and available at 6am (a big plus). This is obviously an older property, but it has been adequately updated with the only exception being a lack of USB charge ports (not a big deal). Internet was fine and all amenities were good. Only real complaint is that the laminate (i.e. fake hard wood) floors in the room were filthy. You could not tell they were dirty to look, but taking off our shoes and walking just a few steps in the room, our socked feet were black. Rest of the room looked clean.

Great value for the price. Clean rooms, quick and efficient check in. Really comfortable beds. I m not usually one to be comfortable in quality hotels, but in this one, I found myself feeling comfortable and safe. VERY PLEASED CUSTOMER.

Friendly efficient checkin. Nice clean room, bed and pillows superior than similar in this class. Good restaurant nearby, see my separate review for the Captains Quarters. For golfers, course, store, driving range adjacent to the hotel. Very pleasant traveler stay.

We look forward to stopping at this very nice hotel on our way home (Upstate NY) from Florida. We love the fact that all the rooms are at ground level. Although the bathrooms are older, the rooms are impeccably clean and my favorite is laminate floors - no carpet! Beds are attractive and comfy and there are plenty of pillows. The downside on this trip was our visit to the onsite restaurant. We have always enjoyed the close proximity of the restaurant to our room and the food has always been good. What a disappointment this year. Our server was lax, we were never offered bread and butter as seen at other tables and when finally presented our food left much to desire. My 10 oz rib eye, ordered medium, was overdone and as tough as shoe leather. My husband's meal was a bit better but way out of the “steller” range. He ordered a second glass of wine which only came when we stopped our server and asked for it. When I complained about my steak he offered to take it back for another (and reminded me that he had no control over what happens in the kitchen) but we had already waited well over 45 minutes for our food and were in no mood to wait longer. We watched folks at other tables arrive and be served before us. The offer of a “free” drink or “free” dessert did nothing to solve the problem of a lax server or badly overdone steak. We may stop again for the night, but not for the restaurant. By the way, it was a very expensive meal to boot.

Kind of reminiscent of the fifties and sixties when motels abounded along the U.S. highways and byways. I love that you drive right up to your room, which opens to the outside, and walk only about six feet to your door. The inside is old school charm with modern convenience.The bed is as good as I have ever slept in. ( four pillows)The hot water comes up instantly and the shower has a massage head. The room is clean as a pin.The furniture is new but in a charming older style. Breakfast is free and is pretty good.The motel is about half way between Palm Beach and Washington D.C. so is a great stop over for those who want to break that trip into 2 days.I stay here every time we drive to Florida.

I have stayed at this property several times and each time find upgrades. It is obvious that the operators are looking to provide a good value for your traveling dollar, and they have succeeded. The rooms are always very clean with tile throughout rather than carpet. There is plenty of hot water and the drains work as intended. The property is conveniently located near the Interstate exit, but there is no perceived traffic noise. There is a Cracker Barrel nearby and fast food and other restaurants are within walking distance. Breakfast is the standard offered at Best Western Plus properties and never disappoints. Some front desk personnel in the late afternoon could improve their hospitality skills, but their lack is easily compensated by the quality of the rest of the property. I am a repeat customer here and will remain so.

Hotel is close to the main highway so that is a plus if you're looking simply for a place to sleep before you get on the road again. Room was ok, but outdated and needs to be updated. Wifi was available.

As we traveled home from our vacation we planned a stopover in Santee not knowing where to stay because they have many hotels to choose from. Being a BW rewards members , we decided on the Best Western. It was a lovely htel, with friendly, helpful staff and a wonderful restaurant right next door. From the wifi to the breakfast and staff everything was great. If you're in the area we recommend this hotel.

This place reminded us of a "Motel" from back in the 60's...& we loved it. Rooms are dated but in very good shape...you park your car right outside the door to your room...nice pool...super breakfast buffet & a helpful staff. The wifi works good, the TV gets lots of channels & many restaurants are nearby. Don't change or modernize...just keep it clean & friendly...we like it the way it is !

Pretty hotel. Needs card door lock for exercise room. Room was clean. Internet was fast. Happy with this location. Breakfast included the usual eggs, sausage, waffles, cereals, coffee and juices and fruit. Easy access off I95

This hotel is very dated and in need of a face lift. The quality of the breakfast was poor and the room was not clean. The only positive note was it has a wonderful restaurant next door, the Captains Quarters.

This BW is very busy. But the rooms are clean. It is quiet . Beds are comfortable. The breakfast is typical of BW and you can get a solid meal. The front desk staff is always very good. The housekeeping staff works hard.

We were just looking for a quick overnight stay on our trip home from Florida. We found this quaint Best Western. Not a luxury hotel but very clean and comfortable. Would highly consider again when returning or going to Florida.

Really liked this place when we stopped here in 2015, but was a bit disappointed this year. Good location. Cracker Barrel short 5 min drive, good breakfast, gas nearby,park right by door so easy unpack... but room seemed a little bit run down from last visit.. Because of location and set up, would probably stay again

nice place to stay. clean rooms and good location.food is excellent and the staff is nice. I always stay there when coming down to florida. Usually I use my points but this time I was told at check in that in order to use them I had to make the reservation thru Best western directly.

Great location for our visit here looking at properties. great breakfast and staff was friendly. It always surprises me that people don't tip the breakfast buffet workers, they work so hard and so early. Room was clean and I like the fact that there are no rugs, but the floor is very slippery and my white socks got filthy. I don't think they are washed, just swept. Desk staff was friendly but they should have told me before my 4th night that they never give out my room for more than one night because of the complaints. Here's what happens, you get in your very cozy bed and then the door next door starts slamming, not sure why until the first night. The room next door is the ice, laundry, snack room. On your way out it slams over and over. Then it starts up again in the early am with the cleaning staff. I hate to complain so I forgot about it until we were settled in bed at 11pm night two. Then it started again in the am. On night three I moved the bookcases with brochures against the door to keep it open and that did the trick, until the cleaning crew arrived in the am. When I checked out the girl at the desk said my room had a note that said "don't change room" she had no idea why but said we never use that room, you should have said something. Well she is correct I should have but lesson learned for the next guy. If you are a light sleeper do not accept this room. I should have asked for some money back once she told me this.

Only stayed one nite. Not the best but 4 out of 5 stars. Front desk person needs some training. We traveled with a gift card & it took 45min. To figure out how to enter it. Otherwise, good overnite stay.

Great place, very clean. Like the fact that they have replaced the carpets in the rooms. Super friendly staff who are more than willing to accommodate your requests. We did not eat breakfast but it smelt delicious! Would stay again.

This is a motel where you park right outside your door, and it's great if you have a lot of stuff to bring into the room. It's a little older and things are starting to fray a bit, but it's clean. Unfortunately, the fans in the bathroom are built into the only light switch, so there's no way to have light without the loud-ish fan. For us, this meant we heard the buzzing of a fan in the room next door late at night and also heard our own fan when one of us went in there in the middle of the night . The free breakfast was much inferior to what we get at a Fairfield Inn. Dry eggs, not a great selection. The woman at the front desk when we checked in was very unfriendly and I felt like I was interrupting something more important when I arrived. We don't usually stay at Best Western because we're members of Marriott and Hyatt. This stay was adequate but it didn't make us want to switch over to the Best Western Brand.

The layout of this motel is antiquated but... The rooms although very old fashioned are clean and well cared for. The pool is small but nice. The breakfast is satisfactory. The front desk service is very good Just be aware of what you are getting before you book

This is our to go stop going from Fl to our families up North. Pull up to the door, rooms very comfortable and very clean, and they offer a great breakfast. Bathrooms are on the small side and many need a redo, but still clean and manageable. Another plus, restaurant next door, The Captains Quarters is great. It is very obvious that the management Takes great pride in how they maintain, and care for this unique gem.

We have stayed here several times while traveling south on route 95 on our way to Florida. Good prices, always clean, ample free breakfast, and a nice restaurant that is adjacent for dinner. Highly recommended.

I have typically had great stays at Best Western Plus hotels and this one was no exception! The hotel was convenient to I-95, was well maintained, and offered me everything I needed for my short stay. The bed was comfortable and the breakfast was tasty!

nicely renovated hotel; the type of hotel where you pull up out in front of your room--no messing with stairs or elevators. Right off the interstate, lots of options for dining. We stayed the night there on our way to Florida and we will stay there again on our way back up North. Good customer service.

Were there for 2 nights as we buried an Aunt of mine. Older property in excellent shape. Rooms have been renovated and are spacious and the amenities are up to date. Convenient to interstate 95. Staff helpful when my wife needed some more towels.

We stopped here on our way home going north and were very glad we did. The girls at the front desk were very nice and we were pleased with the accommodations. The room was clean, the beds were comfortable, and the adjoining restaurant was delicious. And the free breakfast the next morning was great. There was everything from delicious coffee, scrambled eggs, sausage, bagels, waffles, etc. We will definitely stop back !

Had a nice stay here. Friendly desk, pretty quiet. Had a great breakfast. Easy on and off from Rt. 95. Walk to a great meal next door. (Captains Quarters) Used to stay across the street, and we were very happy with that hotel. But this one was $40 cheaper.

We were looking in the area for a reasonable hotel to stay in the area since we would be working in the area for the next 4-5 months. So we stayed one night and thought it was OK even thought the rooms are not very big and the bathrooms are pretty small. But we could make it work. Breakfast is better then most. So after we left we called and made a reservation for the following week to stay for two weeks. When we arrived we had to inform them that our plans changed and would only be staying one night and would be back the following week for the longer stay.The girls at the frount desk said no problem. We could do that and change the reservation. Now we gave them our credit card to hold the reservation and then we paid with the company's card for the one night we would be staying.So nothing should of been charged on our card. The next day after leaving we stopped to eat and our card did not work so we check the bank and they charged our card for $2020.20 for the reservation that was canceled. So we called them and it took them over three to four days to figure out how to get our money back. Now were on the road with our card being over drafted for our bills that get taken out every month. Because they wiped us out and thanks to a great boss who had to send us money to live on while on the road. So we asked what should we do about our over draft because of them ,they said there was nothing they could do about that.Sorry for the mistake. So lesson learned not to stay in a one horse town in the Carolines and drive to Summersville where it doesn't cost us more then the room was for someone else's mistake.

Checked it out out of curiosity, and the fact that there was a coupon in the travel guide. It was great! Clean, very comfortable, convenient to the interstate. Felt safe and in good company with all the other travelers. Excellent breakfast. Hospitable folks. Only drawback was there aren't many places to eat nearby, except a fancy seafood place next door. Didn't want to dine as a party of one in a place like that. So, fast food was my only option, and there weren't a lot of those to choose from. But, that's not the fault of BW. The Inn was excellent. Would definitely recommend.

The lighting was bright, new and had outlets for cell phones. Great lighting. Bed was comfortable. Room large. Bathroom was the smallest I have ever seen. To sit on the toilet you had to go in along side of the toilet to close the door. Minature bathroom. For a king size room. Breakfast was good.

We stopped here our first night on the way home to NJ from Florida. The room was clean and upgraded with new rug and furniture. The lighting was bright and cheery. The bathroom had 2 sinks outside, which we like. The toilet/shower room is tiny and crowded. It would be better to move the wall and doir to include one of the sinks and give you room to dry and open the door. The shower and whirlpool tub have been poorly caulked and covered. They definately need true modernizing. The showerhead is very good. The staff was pleasant.
