Resumen de la reserva
I've been staying at this hotel for years during work. Excellent staff. Hotel rooms now being remodeled making my stay even better. Pizza Hut next door makes it the perfect place to stay. Pool always works, best in room coffee anywhere. You won't regret staying.
I enjoyed my stay here. Room is clean. The fridge is cold. The bed was comfortable. The room is spacious. There are plenty of linens. The breakfast was pretty good. The staff was friendly. Plenty of parking. I can't find anything to complain about. Would stay here again, good price
Very noisy traffic noise from main road next to hotel. Limited parking and outdated room. Big stain on carpet and slight tear. Noise so bad I thought window to room was open but it wasn't. Terrible night of little rest.
BW Desert Inn was priced perfectly for my budget while still providing an enjoyable experience. I felt like I was staying at a much more expensive hotel. The front-desk staff, both at check-in and check-out, were very pleasant and helpful.
We had the most amazing weekend. Our stay was fabulous. The room actually felt good to be in, had everything we needed. The breakfast was perfect. The check in and check out was so easy. Definitely staying again!
This hotel is a good hotel for the price. The staff is friendly and helpful. the breakfast has a lot of choices, pastries, bagles, toast. The pancakes have a lot of toppings to pick from and whipped cream. Bacon, sausage and scrambled eggs are tasty.
Called for early check-in ( received with no problem ) asked for ground floor ( got that also ) rooms were very clean and very comfortable really good location for me also grounds were well cared for plenty parking areas
Safford Best Western Desert Inn has a great staff and they are very helpful. Everything was perfect for our stay. My group has 21 rooms over the weekend of Sept 9, 10 2023. This is the 26th year we have stayed at the Safford Best Western Desert Inn and are planning on return again next year. April is super great and make all the reservations and making sure everything is perfect. Thanks Nippy Feldhake, Mt Graham Hill Climb race director.
This is a completely typical Best Western in every way except for the WIFI does not work and the AC unit was especially loud. The wifi was broadcasting but none of our 4 apple devices could connect at any time during our stay, the connecting wheel just kept spinning. The AC window unit, loud in even good times, had a rattle buzz that woke me up every cycle. I'm writing this at 4am unable to get back to sleep for the 50th time and using my data package on two bars. Best Westerns provide reliable mid-lower end lodging. This one was a bit lower than normal.
Rm 220 Great comfortable Kbed + pillows. Luv the clean smelling sheets, shower head + water pressure. Many breakfast choices. AC unit when on helps drown out traffic noise until the town goes to sleep
Unsanitary not very clean! And tahleeni was so rude! Stale and moldy bagels for breakfast! And when asked to replace she threw them at me and wanted me to get my own with no gloves! Plus she must have dropped salt in eggs because they have never been that salty!Where is Valerie! I will never stay when tahleeni is working! I hope I don't get sick! I just checked out yesterday! Oh then sink in bathroom backed up with sewer water! Not a nice stay at all and I stay at least once a month!
I have been using the Best Western Desert Inn for the past 25 year and the host hotel for the Mt. Graham Hill Climb Bicycle Race. They are very helpful and work very well with me to see that every room and racer is taken care of. I get a great group rate and late check out and wonderful service for breakfast. All the racer like the hotel and are glad that I continue to use the Best Western Desert Inn for the Host Hotel for the Mt. Graham Hill Climb. This year the hotel was completely sold out and I did not hear one complaint from my group. The hotel had extra staff on had to handle the full hotel. I will be using them again next year! Cheers
Way over priced for 2 nights. Had a drunk guy yelling to the point the Police arrived. Don't think I'll ever stay here again..not real safe...breakfast was nice. Pool party going on till 11pm looks like teenagers to me.
There was poop on the seat on arrival. Then a roach came out while I was in the shower. Door rattled all night even with deadbolt. The parking lot was so tiny that I was terrified of being hit by other cars driving through. Management took no responsibility and acted like roaches were totally fine with them.
Excellent Breakfast. Good service at check-in and for 5 mornings of delicious/generous breakfast meals. My room was close to the state road's fast and loud traffic. If you need more quiet, ask for a room further from the street. The room had everything I needed. Excellent shower, hot water, mini-fridge, microwave. I should have asked for the carpet to be vacuumed. It needed vacuuming. I found a sock from a prior guest under the chair's footstool. The AC unit was great and kept me comfortable. Be sure to tip the lady serving breakfast. If you can afford to travel, you can afford to tip her for her work. I imagine her salary is minimum wage.
Great service, very accomodating personnel. The room was clean, the staff at the front were exceptional in customer service!! I even left my motorcycle in the parking lot with out worrying about it. Not the norm for me.
A very pleasant stay, very clean and would visit this hotel again. My wife and I always enjoy Best Western hotels, We always enjoy breakfast, free parking, and other things to make our stay very nice.
hotel and rooms were dated yet charged for a better building and room. The breakfast was pretty run of the mill. the bathroom fan/light was noisy. The desk staff were very helpful. Not sure I would stay here in the future unless upgraded. Seems Best Western has let standards slip quite a bit over the years.
It was a quiet nice little motel. Very clean and the staff were nice.. My only complaint would be that the bed seemed to be old and wore out, not comfortable but that being said it was great for a 1 night cheap stay!
After traveling &/or camping for 2 weeks, we were looking for a clean room with a hot shower, laundry, & a restaurant. We found all 3 right on site. It was a very restful stay, & the front desk service was exceptional!
We came to stay just for one evening, staff is extremely friendly. We received a text letting me know our room was ready and ready for our arrival. We forgot an item in the room. They sent a text. Kudos
Bryan the dog here. My humans and I stayed here as our base for walking the humans around the desert. More on that adventure later... this post is about our sleeping arrangements. The place smells good. Sad that there was no forgotten food items under the bed or behind the furniture. The bed sounded comfy, as my humans snored all night. The bacon and eggs for breakfast are egg-cellent! Pool and hot tub are outside, and closed for winter. Thankfully, that is less chance I have to get wet! Overall, a good place to put up your paws.
toilet paper is like thin cardboard dirty bathroom walls and long hair in the tub; water pressure was kinda weak room smelled clean with no strong odors, air quality was great refrigerator is always a very nice plus nice western wall art same great shampoos, with Argan oil, that Best Western seems to be using everywhere now good breakfast with eggs, sausage, good hot sauce, oatmeal, and “grab n go” options dining area a little small but well appointed and a TV for morning news no elevator nice views of desert mountains but close to main highway so audible road noise all the time. Not a huge deal for me but keep in mind if you are sensitive to this. beds are ok.
This BW had everything I wanted to make my stay relaxing and comfortable. My Son and I were participating in a sporting competition so good rest relaxation before the events were important to us. Great location with easy access to restaurants, shopping and are competition location. I've stayed at "high-end" hotels but I've never stayed anywhere where the shower bath toilet were not heard from the other room - how did BW do that? Great price! Great value.
Carpet was filthy and smelled. Chairs were stained. No hot water in shower. Slow drainage in sink. Room smelled terrible. Room 112. Decor was not inviting. TV did not work to watch local channels. Beds were ok, not great or very comfortable. Did the best with what we had, did not try to be in the room longer than needed to be.
Older Best Western but very, very clean and well maintained. Office staff and breakfast staff helpful and friendly. Quick check-in and found room ready. Group using the pool was having lots of fun and restaurants are close. Desk provided directions to a great Mexican restaurant and other places to eat were an easy wall -- 200 feet.
Stopped there overnight with a group, and they were GREAT ! The receptionist went out of her way to get us checked in, and helped with some special requests. Rooms were QUIET, right off the main drag, and not far from restaurants. Very good stay, AND the A/C worked great.
Excellent customer service, clean comfortable room, and good value. The manager, April McGregor took time to address my concerns before we left home and she followed through on her suggestions by communicating to her friendly staff in advance of our arrival. We were treated respectfully with warm friendly personal interactions from our arrival to our departure.
took a ride with friends and family to Safford. crashed here over night and the bed was extremely comfortable and the coffee the next morning was needed! lol. Checkout the next day was a breeze and the covid breakfast was a nice touch
great hospitality, very easy check in. Rooms were great and clean, restrooms were very clean. no complaints about our stay. only things was the pool was still close :( other than that, we would stay again
We needed somewhere to stay close to our hunting unit. This hotel was perfect. We usually camp when we hunt, but did not want to de-winterize our RV. We decided to hunt from the hotel. It was a first for us, and worked out pretty well.
The woman who checked me in was really nice and accommodated my request to have a room on the first floor and she even made it near my car without asking. It was also the best pillow I have ever slept on. I considered asking if I could buy a couple. The only con was the lighting in the bathroom- it was too dim. Everything else was great :)
Room was dirty, bathroom light burnt out (they gave me a bulb to replace myself) used towel hanging in bathroom. Dog hair all over carpet (no, we didn't have a dog) room smelled like stale cigarettes, stains running down wall by toilet, dirt and debris in most corners. Will not stay here again.
This inn is like many other older Best Western Inns I've stayed at all over the country, with its drive-up-to-your-room setup. The room was a bit on the small side, but it was well maintained. There was a comfortable armchair and footrest in the room along with a desk and executive chair. The sink was separate from the toilet room, which was a plus. The wall-mounted TV got over 50 channels, plus HBO. I certainly appreciated getting a channel guide. A lot of places don't give you one. I liked the cowboy pictures on the wall. It was nice having five plump pillows on the bed. The inn is conveniently located near many things, including restaurants, gas stations, Walgreens, and Walmart. You can walk to them if you want to. Suggestion #1. My feeling is that breakfast could have been better. Do what they do in other hotel breakfast rooms where I've stayed. Have someone give the usual buffet food to the guests as if they were being served in a cafeteria. Separate the tables so that they are distanced from each other and guests can sit there. Bring back the breakfast. We don't like the idea of eating from a paper bag in a guest room. Suggestion #2. How about adding softer, yellow lights instead the glaring white ones? Overall, we had a decent night's stay at this inn.
This was a great place to stay on our trip in Arizona, The lady at the Front Desk was very helpful and accommodating to us. This makes a big difference when you are traveling in a state you have never been in and it is nice for travelers to have a pleasant person to deal with. They had a grab and go breakfast due to COVID-19 and it was ok. They have a little refrigerator in the lobby with items that can be purchased as well as other snacks. Great place!
I make regular trips to this area (usually 5 times per year for 3 nights). After having stayed in several places in the area, we have settled on this as being the best value for the price. The facility is quite old, but well kept. And the staff is extremely helpful and friendly. It's kind of like "We're Home"
My wife and I recently stayed at the Best Western Desert inn as the Corona virus disaster was ramping up. There was a lot of uncertainty as to what was going on and rules were changing daily. Out room was clean the bed comfortable, the staff courteous and helpful. Even breakfast was still offered it just had to be served up by an employee. Thanks for making our stay as comfortable as it was!
The suite was not as described in the photos. There was lack of room for the kids. The room was dirty, the heater in the bedroom had dirt and debris in it and when you turned it on clouds of dust came out of it. There was food crumbs under the edge of the bed in there. The vent in the bathroom was extremely loud. The carpet was extremely dirty and in desperate need of deep cleaning. The workers that stay there got up early to leave for work and the kids were woke up at 5 am. It took 35 minutes to check in as the clerk was locked out of the computer, at 11 pm you want to go to bed after a long day of traveling not wait to check in for 35 minutes. I think that I might have had more room for the girls in a single room with 2 queen beds then I had in the suite. The motel seems more likely to have guests that work in and around the area stay there then people that are vacationing.
Excellent location in the heart of Safford, AZ. Rooms were clean but small including the bath and shower.Very friendly staff at the front desk who were well trained in customer service. The hotel did offer a very good free breakfast.
From time I called to reserve a room, through Check-in through Check-out treated respectfully as a member of property family. Room upgraded to suite at my request which more suited my needs for this trip. Bed gave a dream sleep and comfortable for lounging.
We had a comfortable two day stay in Safford, AZ at the Best Western Desert Inn. The room was super clean and beds and bedding were very comfortable. The Front Desk staff were efficient and always smiling even dealing with the large crowd that was there for the weekend. We would definitely stay there again!
The Front desk staff upon check in was friendly , fast and accommodating. The Room appeared clean at 1st, till we settled in. There was a large I mean large cock roach climbing the shower wall and another one in the night stand drawer... Grossed me out! Thank god my husband was there to take care of it! The Tv in the living area did not work. The bathroom sink did not drain and the next morning when I went to shower there were dried boogers on the shower wall. I took pictures of everything explained and showed them at check out the lady was nice and sympathetic and said a manager would contact me the next day. Still no call and was charged the full $117.17 for the 1 nights stay.
Nice comfortable room. Great staff. They offer the rare two bedroom option where you have a door between the 2nd bedroom and the main room. They call this the Three Queen Bed Room. Both rooms have their own temp control and TV. Worked well for us.
Our stay was okay. There was a crowd of rather noisy people milling around the outside but they didn't really bother us. If we had wanted to use the swimming pool it would have been difficult because what appeared to be one fairly large group was making use of it and it's a small area outside. It looked to me like there was probably alcohol being consumed from glass bottles and that's generally not allowed in pool areas. I'm not sure how much the management should have done about the situation. There was enough drinking going on that I had to avoid an area the next morning where somebody "got sick" on the pavement. It would have been nice if that had been cleaned up earlier but those kinds of things happen.
My husband works in Safford and I came in town during one of his days off so that we could enjoy wine tasting in Willcox, about 45 minutes away. We reviewed other hotels and chose this one because of the reasonable cost and high satisfaction of previous guests. The newer hotels down the street charge twice as much for a night. I didn't realize it was a motel style because I hadn't reviewed exterior pictures before we arrived. I was a little concerned about about noise from the traffic, but because of the air conditioning units inside making a nice white noise, the only brief distraction was from other guests using the staircase next to us and staying above us. Friendly check in and clean room. We opted for the queen suite to have a separate loving and dining room area. The bed and pillows were very comfortable so we slept well. It's nice to have complementary breakfast. Best Western waffles and house coffee are the best! Lots of food choices, although I'm not a big fan of reconstituted eggs. If you are looking for an affordable and simple place to sleep I would recommend this. If you were looking for something more luxurious, it may be worth it to upgrade to another place.
Preview your room before settling in, not everything works. I checked in to room 105 and found out after all my things were in that the TV did not work. There was also an odor to the room which I suspect came from the carpet. The good news is that the staff on duty at 9:30pm did move me to another room where everything worked and there was no odor. Breakfast was OK, good variety of fruit, yogurt, breads and cereals as well as microwave eggs. Bed was comfortable and the road noise was not bad after 10pm.
Clean, quiet considering it's right on the main road. Decent breakfast. Ok bed. Lots of tv channels. Staff was friendly. Lots of hotels in town, but for the budget end of rates this place was just fine. I wouldn't mind staying here again.
This property has something for everyone at breakfast. Clean rooms, professional nice staff. The whole property is nice. I will recommend and stay again when in the area. The beds are comfy, and the rooms are clean.
For reference, we were in Room 107. Labor Day Weekend overnight stay. Check in was flawless and quick. Staff is very friendly. They advertise free breakfast, and for the price, it was very good. Eggs, fresh waffles, cereal, meats (bacon and sausage), juices. Nice, fresh selection. The room was small, but updated and well outfitted for the price. So, why four stars versus five? As I read in reviews on other sites, it was the noise. The room itself was very quiet. We sat out at poolside, wanted to read, and just unwind. During daylight, don't think about anything close to quiet. As this establishment is on a busy road, the vehicle traffic is nonstop. However, with all being said, I'd definitely stay here again.
smelly and nasty room, not enough food for all residents and no elevator. Good parking taken by all construction crew, pool in middle of parking lot. Carpet in room had a big stain ugh just don't stay there
The rooms are old and small, the tub was stained, the beds uncomfortable, the sheets scratchy, the TV connection went in and out, etc., etc., etc. We normally always stay at a BW when we have the opportunity. This hotel was a mistake and extremely disappointing!
Nice hotel, staff was great when TV wouldn't work and she stayed and fixed. Breakfast is continental..loved the waffles and their toppings , and the eclairs..who doesn't love chocolate for breakfast. Only wish people would knowbthwir room numbers instead of knocking on every door to get to the right room. Doors are open to the street so anyone could knock on doors. Not much on security, that I saw. Location..short distance to anywhere
There was a friendly helpful woman at the front desk when we arrived.. But otherwise the rest of the office people, the cleaning people, and the kitchen ladies did not greet us. We had to initiate the conversation to get them to converse.
This place was a good stay. Room was clean and staff was friendly. I'd stay here again. Beds were a little hard for my taste, but they seem to be similar to most hotel beds. Decent free breakfast too, with waffles, eggs, sausage, bacon, cereal, fruit and Danish.
I didn't expect much when I first arrived. The room was small, but clean and had everything I needed. The hotel was quiet and the service was good. It's easy to find food in the area. Not a lot I was interested in doing that evening, so I had a restful night.
I have stayed here several times and always great service and their continental breakfast is one of ht better ones. Anyone staying in Safford I would highly recommend this motel. The staff is very friendly, competent and helpful. Great value for the price
We stayed here 3 nights recently. The staff went out of their way to make sure we had a nice stay. The room was always well cleaned. The breakfast is a full breakfast with eggs, sausage and bacon in addition to cereal, bagels, fruit, yogurt.
Staff was fast and so caring and helpful nice to kids food was amazing and the room was so nice I never wanted to check out my partner and I love this hotel and it is our first local and out of town choice
We are getting used to the warm welcomes from Best Western Hotels, but once again we were surprised by the great welcome we received from the staff on the front desk at this hotel. The lady on the front desk could not have been more helpful, asking what our plans were, where we were heading, if we needed any maps or directions printed out. She also gave us a lot of information about what to do and see whilst we were in the area, also where to have dinner, (Restaurants, Diners, Café's Etc.). A great start to a great 2-night stay at this hotel. The hotel is very easy to find, it is located on the main road US 70, (On the corner of W Thatcher Blvd & W 14th Avenue). There was plenty of parking spaces, but I think parking may be more difficult if the hotel was really busy. The room was very clean, the bed and the pillows were very comfortable, the A/C was already running so the room temperature was just right. Despite our room being at the front of the hotel, we never heard any traffic noise, if fact it was very quiet, and we got a good night's sleep. Being on a road trip one thing we found very useful was that this hotel has a 24 Laundromat, which is located in a separate building just across the parking lot, away from the rooms, and the front desk has a ready supply of Quarters & Soap Etc. The complimentary breakfast was very good, there was a good supply of various types of Bread, Cereal, Fruit Juice, Yoghurt, Fruit, Waffles and freshly cooked Bacon, Eggs, Sausage plus Pastries, Muffins, Coffee Etc. This hotel would make a great base for visiting Mount Graham Observatory, or The Mount Graham Hill Climb Bicycle Race, and Roper Lake State Park which is only 5 Miles away. We would definitely recommend this hotel and will be staying here again the next time we are in the area.
This property is exactly what you would expect. Great bed and linens, standard breakfast, friendly greeting on arrival, good internet. There is a bit of noise from the highway. Also do NOT take the Queen Suite room 118. The stairs wrap around over the room. Noise all night.
Outdated rooms, basically a motel, subpar breakfast with hardly any healthy options. Noisy rooms next to us, no places accept the parking lot for dogs to play or go to the bathroom, no chairs or lounging areas around pool.
We were told to be careful of the hotels in Safford and take Best Western if possible. We were pleased with the choice with our 1 year old. They helped us get a ground floor room so we were set as they say. We got in late for the breakfast but it was good. The Chinese restaurant across the parking lot was the only thing open on the holiday Sunday night but we enjoyed that also.
Good beds and clean here, and the staff were very nice. The downside is the location on a major road for the area, which surprisingly never let up all night. Ask for the room farthest away from the road. A lot of contractors staying at the hotel with load pick ups starting early.
This hotel has Clean Rooms, the pillows are small square shaped ones, 5 for one king bed is right for one person. The bath room also was clean but small. The breakfast was decent with cereal, yogurt, fruit, eggs, bacon and sausage. The only drawback is that you can hear lots of road noise of the trucks driving by at night. If you are a light sleeper ask for a room behind the restaurant that is in the parking lot.
The best thing about this hotel is there was not bed bugs (that we found) and that staff was eager to help/correct issues. The worst is how dirty the floors and bathroom wall (blood) was. Beds are so so and the bedding/towels seemed clean.
We booked a room for November 3rd and at check in, the clerk, (I think her name was Valerie), was polite and helpful. We had an extended conversation with her and she had us laughing throughout. Then later that night we had an issue with our room. Again, she was great and took good care of us. We will absolutely stay here again. She is the type of employee every hotel needs.
breakfast was one of the better quality breakfasts i have had out of most best western. the bacon and sausage was good. room was clean and spacious (1 king bed room) wifi was steady and didnt go in and out speed was good.
Perfect place to say. I have use the Best Western Desert Inn for my host hotel for the past 21 years for the Mt. Graham Hill Climb (Bicycle Race). The staff goes out of their way to make the our stay perfect. Every detail is taken care of. I don't stay anyplace else when in Safford Arizona.
I arrived at the Best Western not sure what to expect. My room was very clean and the bed to my liking. I had the A/C on through the night and did not hear the road noise. This hotel is on a main street and on arrival one can hear the road traffic, but it was not an issue once inside the room. The pool is smack in the middle of the parking lot and even though I brought my swimsuit, I did not use the pool. The breakfast had plenty of choices, from fruit cups, yogurt, cereal, pastries, bread, waffles, eggs and bacon/sausages. I certainly did not leave hungry.
As a business traveler I look for these things, It is Clean, Comfortable and staff is helpful. This property has that. They have items for breakfast that will fil everyone. This property is great and if I had a magic wand, I would put up stable shade in the pool area. I know this is easier said than done. Don't let this take away from the property though. I will be staying again when passing through.
We stay here every time we come to the area. Really nice rooms. Really nice people. Some guests don't understand what a Handicap parking spot means. Could use more parking but don't know where they would fit it.
The hotel is located on the main road in Safford and was very easy to find. Check in was a breeze and the staff was cheerful. Our ground floor room was very clean and the beds were comfortable. The air conditioning and heater were in working order.
The staff was extremely friendly. The rooms were clean if a little on the small side. But it worked well for my husband & I. The hotel is easy to get to, right on the main road of travel, and has a central location to Pima, Thatcher, and Safford. The parking lot was quite congested on our stay but we did stay close to a long weekend and lots of graduations going on in the area. Would definitely stay here again when in the area.
When traveling to Safford for business I prefer to stay at the Best Western Desert Inn. Everytime they have provided an excellent breakfast, clean rooms, and kind staff at both check in and check out. Good hotel for business trips.
Basic rooms with decent air conditioning (for me that means keeping the room cool without deafening me) and the usual amenities. It was clean, relatively quiet, and everyone -- I mean *everyone* -- who was working there was friendly. The bed was comfy but the pillows were weirdly small. My sister referred to them as chiclets because they were almost square. Not a problem, mind you, just odd. The breakfast bar was better than many, with the usual cereals & toastables, but also scrambled eggs with bacon & sausage. The price was right and I'd definitely stay again.
I recently stayed at this great hotel and from my quick and easy check in to my express check out, it was a fantastic experience. The room was clean and updated, with a comfortable bed, cold air conditioning, and kind staff members. I had a perfect stay, thank you!
Old motel style but clean and updated inside. Gabriela was very helpful. Every faucet liked and sprouted. Very noisy AC. People left very early and lots of doors banging and cars starting. Comfortable overall with clean linen and towels
The hotel staff was very professional, I really enjoyed my stay I thought the room Decour was excellent the bedding was excellent everything about the hotel was excellent and set an excellent location, it's got a next and breakfast and it was close to my business of work, I would recommend for anybody who stays in Safford to come into the best Western and give it a shot you won't be disappointed .. kudos to all the staff ..
The Best Western in Safford AZ has extremely friendly and attentive staff throughout. Also, this location is not only pet friendly, but cat friendly as well. We ensure our cat is well behaved and I sweep any tracked litter to be a responsible cat owner. We are appreciative of the opportunity to have my pet with us at this location.
Quiet room, appropriate appointment, clean and everything works. Nice breakfast room and well tended. Nice variety of breakfast items. The hotel is well located near shopping and civic center. We were in town to see a high school football game. Easy drive to Pima, Thatcher and Safford High Schools.
We made reservations directly with this hotel and requested a ground floor room because we have a dog and for us, it is difficult to climb stairs. When we checked in we were put in an upstairs room at the far end. We told them to cancel and we would just drive home that evening. Best Western is the worst. Never follow through on what they promise. We are done with them. Lots of other choices out there that are more accommodating.
The room seemed adequate, and the breakfast was as most Best Western Hotels are, and we felt lucky to have a room that night as many people travel in October. We are Rewards Members so stay at many Best Westerns.
Stay in an cheap independent motel and save the money. Rooms have too much furniture for such a small room. Carpets were vacuumed but missed some places. TV didn't work correctly. One bed was sloped to the middle. Bathroom floors were dirty. Check in clerk was outstanding. Motel seemed to be converted from something else. We've stayed at a lot of Best Western's over the years and this is the worst or close to it. Once I stayed in what I call, A Texas Star and it was much better. I wouldn't ever stay here again.
We stayed at this Best Western because of the town on our route of our motorcycle trip. It was very clean, but an older hotel/motel. The doors open to the outside which is not as safe as ones that open to the inside. However, it was very clean and the breakfast was good. It is a little overpriced for the quality, it should be more in the range of $70-$79. Front desk staff are very friendly and very helpful.
This is the 20th year my event has used the Desert Inn Best Western as out host hotel. We have anywhere from 50 room to 10 rooms per year. Roger's staff makes everybody in my group welcome and takes care of everything. I have been asked by two other hotels to move my event however I have refused as I am very please with the Desert Inn. The only thing is that the rates keep inching up. Thanks again Nippy Feldhake Director of Mt. Graham Hill Climb for Bicycles. April McGregor is great to work with; she takes care of my group and makes the weekend very pleasant and enjoyable.
Great night's sleep, and very comfortable bed.. We stay here whenever we are in the area, which should say it all. The staff is consistently friendly, and the breakfast exactly what I need. The room is clean, and with the fan running on the air conditioner, there was no noise that disturbed us from other customers.
Nice enough property with free Wi-Fi and a good breakfast. The staff was pleasant and the room was clean and comfortable; what more can you say for a property in a smaller town? I would stay here again..
Beds are in massive need of replacement. Neither my wife our myself got any sleep due to such an uncomfortable bed. Best Western needs to make some improvements to this facility. Way past a refresh. Update now!!
Great service! Great staff. Rooms are always clean, and everything is always well stocked. Breakfast is great. They have a large amount of choices, anything from fruit, cereal, hot food, and i love the waffle toppings that they have included in breakfast.
I enjoy staying there. It's close and convenient to what I'm doing. Room is always very clean, and when needed the staff is extremely helpful! The breakfast is very good! Wide variety of choices, and juices.
Room carpet was very dirty, room smelled bad, bathroom light did not work, pillows had been sprayed with deodorizer, only 2 towels and one wash cloth, breakfast items were dry and stale, fruit was rotten, waffle mix had been doctored to change flavor to fruit, sausage was like rubber but coffee was drinkable. Staff had problems using the computer to check us in.
The room was not clean, had a strong deodorizer type odor for a couple of hours until we aired it out, then we discovered the reason for the deodorizer, the room had an odor similar to mold. The carpet was very filthy. The light in the bathroom did not work. Two of the pillows had been sprayed with deodorizer and could not be used. The staff chose to smoke out side our door until we asked them not to (we moved the "butt bucket" from beside our door). We had the window open to air out the room. We asked for a refund but were turned down and offered another room. Breakfast pastries were stale and hard, waffle mix was a fruit flavored disapointment, sausage was like rubber, oranges were dried up, apples were rotten in the center. But good coffee for a mix. The staff had a problem using the CC reader and oppted to enter the data manually. The pool was covered because "it needed to be serviced".
We chose this motel for the advertised suite with two rooms and 3 beds. While there are two rooms and three beds, the second bedroom in my estimation is in violation of fire code. There is no window or emergency egress other than through the bedroom door which leads to the main motel room. It's basically a bedroom with no windows. We were also disappointed with the pool as well. It was so dirty we didn't want to enter the pool. I asked the front desk and they said there was a monsoon storm the night before. However by 5:00 pm the next day it had not been cleaned up. Paying a premium price I would expect more and the staff only said they would mention this to the manager on Monday. If your thinking about staying in Safford. Move along.
Absolutely a dive !! $100. A night dive !! Dirty smelly rooms The pool has mold growth and was filthy. Very disappointed in this motel. Would not recommend anyone staying here , for as much as they charge there are way better motels.
All the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. While the air conditioner was a little noisey, the rest of the facility was good value for money and the staff very pleasant and helpful. The breakfast supplied was usual USA fare.
Very high quality hotel but made you feel like you were part of the local atmosphere. Very welcoming.... enjoyed it. Clean rooms and great breakfast. Very friendly staff and made sure that everything was fine.
We had a brief stay. We booked six rooms for one night. The staff was extremely helpful and accommodating in assisting us with some last minute changes to our reservation. I would return to this best western if our travel takes us to Safford in the future.
This hotel had a "two" bedroom unit which worked perfectly for my husband and myself, plus our adult son. That way we did not have to get two separate rooms --- made our cost very reasonable. We discovered two really tasty restaurants in town and enjoyed the small town atmosphere. We went up the mountain to enjoy the 60 degrees versus the 99 degrees downtown that day.
Great place to stay for the price. Nice room and very, very helpful staff. Breakfast wasn't appealing so we went elsewhere, but that is just us. Pool is micro-mini. Room was clean and TV was good. It was a getaway so we didn't use the internet, but the address was provided to us upon check-in. Nice place for Safford.
The towels in the room are very old, every time I stay the towels get older for some reason, that is the only complaint I have , everything else is really good, no complaints besides the towels, all good besides the towels..!!!
Smooth check-in also breakfast was great. Employees was outstanding. Bed was really comfortable and fresh. Room was extremely clean and fresh. Overall it was a great stay for specially peaceful. Very pleased
I've stayed here before, years ago. Bed was comfortable and room was clean. The shower head could use some cleaning but overall a great experience. It is pretty close to all you need. Wal-Mart is around the corner and many food places to choose from.
great service. The staff is always friendly and always making sure your stay is the best. The rooms are always clean, and there is always a good amount of towels, they have coffee in the room, they have shampoo conditioner, they try very hard to make your stay great. the breakfast is free, and they have a large variety. my personal favorite is the waffles and the variety of toppings that they offer. great hotel.
We stayed at this Best Western for two evenings. Overall, I would rate this a fine but average facility. The breakfast was slightly above average and a fine job was done in stocking and keeping the general areas clean. The biggest downside to our stay was the internet signal which was often lost or very weak. We would certainly consider staying here in the future.
Everything was great!! Clean, staff was nice! Asked for early check in and was able to do so. Breakfast area is very clean !! Bed was a bit soft for me but OK ! Great location for our needs, restaurants close
Good hotel. Excellent staff and service. Too Close to Highway so lots of road noise. Great breakfast. Good place to stop while travelling from tombstone north. Casino near by. 2 story hotel, no elevator.
The rooms could have been more properly cleaned before our arrival. A fairly good hotel for the price range. The main road outside the hotel was quite noisy overnight and the in-room HVAC unit although noisy, did mask that road noise. Parking was a premium. Good restaurants in the area.
Stayed overnight for a business meeting the next am. The hotel was nice enough but the parking is challenging when there are a lot of construction workers staying at the hotel. There is some noise from the street as all rooms seem to face the road. The bed was very comfortable. Would have like outlets in more convenient places for using while working. The wifi did go out for about an hour. Nice that there is a microwave and refrigerator in the room. The room had a two person dining table but I would have preferred a desk with outlets. There is a breakfast buffet but I did not try. There is also a Chinese Restaurant and a Pizza Hit within walking distance. Oh and the woman who checked me in was very friendly and upbeat. Loved her.
Good folks, bad parking, breakfasts were "consistent" and I have never seen bacon that thin? Only 102 charictors to go bla -bla. Blank fill in chatter to follow my apologies fjggjjgvgsdthicifidccuciudicux
Service was the best yet. No issues with anything. Great breakfast choices and presentation. I can't think of anything that wasn't top standard. This is definitely a great choice to stay and I will reach time.
We enjoyed our stay at this Best Western. Everyone was friendly. The beds were comfortable. We enjoyed the breakfast. It was a quiet location and there are several restaurants nearby. The cleaning staff was friendly, too.
We stayed at the Best Western 2 1/2 years ago and it was a great place to stay. So, when we went there the first of October, we stayed there again. They not only gave us a better rate than before , but they upgraded us to a suite! The hotel staff keeps the rooms very clean and anything that we needed they made sure to take care of us. They have an excellent breakfast which we enjoyed the six days we stayed there. We will be staying there the next time we go there to visit my sister and husband!
I've paid more money and stayed in worse hotels so I can honestly say that it's as good of a hotel for the money that you'll spend!!! Only complaint is that somebody knocked on my door at 9 am to clean the room. I was catching up on sleep. Usually they would wait till after checkout time or at least 11am...
This is an older hotel but, extremely well maintained. Nice decor, tastefully furnished, nice pool, excellent breakfast, quiet and comfortable beds. Well located in the business district. Shopping nearby. Within easy reach of the towns of Thacher and Pima.
My father passed away. I drove 1100 miles straight to Safford, AZ to attend funeral. I was very tired and broken. This is the only hotel in Safford that gave me a true breavmen rate. The desk clerk was compassionate in this difficult time. Thank you
Excellent stay! I cant stress enough how great this place is! Everyone is friendly, rooms are extremely clean! Breakfast is great, they have waffles, eggs, cereal, coffee, juice, you name it! Front desk staff is always very helpful and quick. Wifi is fast, and tv has plenty of channels. Perfect for any type of occasion!
Made reservation directly with the hotel, (I hate to see hotels lose the commission money that 3rd party web sites charge), AM shift female that took the reservation was freindly and helpful. Lady that checked us in also freindly and made time to answer questions about the area. Major hail storm hit the night we stayed, 3rd shift gave me a bit of a hard time for moving my BMW under their covered entrance, even though I was not parking the car there, was sitting in it waiting the hail to stop, but she was just following her hotel policies and was not impolite. Myself being a GM from another hotel chain, I ask if I could assist her when the power went out and the highway sign blew off and Into the street. I tried to move the signage out of the road but it was to heavy so I was able to help for a while by positioning my car so that my headlights were on the sign so vehicles on the highway could see it and not run over it until PD got there. Room was clean, inviting, and all amenities worked. Think this hotel is 30 to 40 years old (I grew up in Thatcher ans always remember it being here), but the property/rooms are in really good shape... Remodeled recently? Breakfast was okay, check out staff was friendly. Would stay again.
It is great place to stay if you are in the area. I would stay there again. They have very friendly staff. They have better than usual breakfast and their rooms are easily assesable. They are not far from the main road.
Best hotel in Safford or vicinity. I have family in Safford and stay there quite frequently. I have tried several others and none compares to the Desert Inn Best Western. The staff was very courteous and helpful in every way. The breakfast was one of the best I have seen in any hotel of comparable price--clean, well presented and good.
I have no complaints for this hotel. It was just an over nite stay, but it was great! I will defiantly be staying there again. The beds were comfortable. It was quiet. The mini fridge and microwave were a nice treat.
A two night stay in Safford's Best Western can be an interesting experience: Thursday night's parking lot is full of contractor trucks; this group knows a great good clean hotel when they see it. Friday night's parking lot are the usual travelers. Room 206 was clean, modern, with a microwave, coffeemaker and refrig. Hot water quick to the touch. Resident canyon swallows nest in the hotel eaves. However, the swallows may have had a more restful night than we did...both Queens had lumpy mattresses.
Found the bed and pillows to be very comfortable. Room was clean and well decorated. I look for things like how clean the rooms are, usable outlets that are accessible to me, internet to be speedy and breakfast choices. ALL of these were awesome. I didn't even use my own pillow that i travel with. I would recommend and will stay again when in the area.
room and views are very relaxing. I'd stay again gladly. This trip was made easy by the staff making my time there a pleasure. it's just a very nice hotel with an excellent staff to make it a pleasure to be at the Best Western in Safford
We stayed at this hotel for one night only on 7/19 while on a 3 week vacation trip out west. We were on our way to Tombstone, AZ for the OK Corral reenactment. The hotel was a pleasant oasis after a long day of driving thru Apace National Forest.
I don't even consider staying at other hotels / motels when traveling to Safford on business. I really like the Desert Inn. Marci and Michelle are always bubbly and smiling. They will try to honor requests for certain rooms if at all possible. Very good breakfast but wish they would add English muffins. A lounge would be nice after a typical day's work. No onsite restaurant but there are several nearby. The beds are heaven - pillows are a bit soft for my liking. Great hotel and people. I'll be back!!!
I did price comparison. This hotel was in line cost wise with newer hotels, took this one because of special offer from Best Wester. This hotel just to close to main road so road noise was an issue for me, swimming pool in the middle of the parking lot so no privacy.
We almost always look for a Best Western on our cross country road trips, since we know they accept dogs. This was a clean, comfortable, easy overnight stop. The breakfast was very good. I could do without the TV on in the breakfast room but I know that's a lost cause.
Nice hotel, great breakfast with eggs and bacon, excellent staff at check in was very helpful with finding my rewards number and suggesting restaurants. The hotel room was clean and the grounds weren't bad either - just a couple of cigarette butts around - not at all like so many other hotels. Had nice landscaping. Wish they'd get king size sheets for a king size bed instead of using flat sheets that are too small and too short and a little better quality as they were a little rough but overall a very nice stay and we would stay here again.
Great stay. Great place to stay in. THe pool is great too and the rooms are clean. Very good breakfast everything nice and stocked. The staff is very friendly and always greet you with a smile! I recommend this hotel to anyone! great place!
Rates are pretty competitive in Safford. This hotel is in the process of updating. The desk clerk at check-in was particularly helpful, efficient and very friendly and welcoming. We had a similar experience at checkout. The beds are comfortable, the room was clean and the property was neat and well-maintained. The hotel is on the main drag, but it was still pretty quiet. There are several good restaurants nearby.
I found the rooms to be clean, comfortable, affordable and will return again. It has a small fridge and microwave. The ice machine has clean ice and the beds were comfortable. I travel with my own pillow because i have particular tastes but their pillows were comfy too. Plenty of outlets for use, close to what I needed. Staff friendly & professional. Would stay again when in the area and recommend.
nice hotel almost finished with updates. great breakfast room are clean and roomy and quiet Front desk was very friendly and helpful. This hotel is in walking distance to dinning Free Parking easy to find on the main drag.
Staff was very helpful. People in the town were very nice also. Went to a a couple of hot springs and had a blast. Picked up food at the local grocerie store so we could eat healthy... great stay .. great memories......
Comfortable, clean and attractive as expected. Very comfortable bed. Had ALL conveniences we look for...exterior corridors with parking at our room, wash basin outside toilet/shower area, micro and fridge and table with 2 chairs to eat at while watching news on tv.
I travel a lot for business and generally use Best Western. This hotel was not up to par for BW. The carpet was stained and dirty. It had a 4" hole in the threshold between bed/bath rooms. The room was overall dingy and dirty looking. The vanity faucet shot water out when turned on and sprayed water all over vanity. Worst of all, I found a large ROACH in the bathroom at 4:30 when I got up to go to work. I trapped it under the waste basket. No one at front desk asked how my stay was so I volunteered this to her. She just said sorry. That's it. Sorry. I hate roaches. Probably wont stay here again.
This was a good experience with certainly clean rooms, best firm mattresses, wonderful yummy deluxe breakfast with several options and good coffee. Safford was an overnight stay as we were traveling from Tucson on a Road Trip that covered much of Arizona territory.
amazing hotel. clean rooms, friendly staff, and delicious breakfast!! could not get any better! I love that the staff makes sure you feel welcomed, and that they are always smiling. I enjoy a nice friendly smile after a very long trip.
This hotel is a little different. The room was clean and comfortable. The front desk staff where on the ball, friendly and helpful. The ice and pop machines where located in the back of the restaurant in the middle of the parking lot. The only problem I had was there where some guests in the parking lot drinking and being loud, seemed like the front desk did not really care too much about it. For that reason I can only give this hotel average.
Located right on a busy highway through town and not that sound proof in the room, we heard traffic all night. The pool is only open until 9 pm and not much within walking distance of hotel. Room was clean, bed was comfy and it had a little table and chairs which is handy when having a coffee or looking at maps. Separate vanity in bathroom but shower/toilet a little tight when your trying to get into the shower.
Very happy with check-in and check-out. Staff was friendly, courteous, and helpful. My room was clean and surprisingly quiet (no highway noise). Extremely comfortable bed but the pillows are a bit soft for my liking. The breakfast was very good but they didn't have any English muffins!!! Parking is a bit tight for larger vehicles and pickups. The only real drawback is no restaurant or lounge on site. I went to the China Taste next door and would NOT recommend that place. Food is ok but service was horrible and the waitress was more than unpleasant - she acted as if it was a major pain to wait on me. I'll not be going back there again. I would highly recommend the BW Desert Inn and will definitely stay there again. They'll take care of you!
We chose this hotel for a nights rest after a day of hiking and a long drive. Upon arrival we were checked in efficiently and received a good rate using our AARP benefit. All the staff seemed friendly and greeted us with a smile. We stayed on the second floor; it was quiet. No elevator was available, so folks with mobility issues should reserve first floor accommodations. The room was clean, including the comfortable mattress. The bath towels were big and fluffy. The flat screen TV had no reception due to a wind storm. Refrigerator, coffee maker, iron\\board. hair-dryer in room. The air-conditioner worked well. We appreciated that a hot and ample breakfast was served at 5 AM. It was nice to be offered proteins at breakfast, not the typical carbohydrate breakfast: Both hot and cold foods were offered: make your own waffles, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, fruit, cold cereal, muffins, pastry, yogurt, bagels, bread, tea and coffee (regular and decaf), juice, milk and juices. Coffee was available 24 hours in the lobby. The outdoor pool looked inviting but it was a chilly cold day so we did not indulge. We, did however utilize the guest laundry. Guest laundries in hotels have been increasingly more important to us; this amenity allows for us to travel light and have fresh clothing. I would stay her again when traveling through Safford Arizona. Be sure to ask about AAA or AARP rates if you are a member.
Located on a very busy noisy road. Double glazing not very effective. Staff very helpful on arrival in sorting out problem with booking....thank you. Breakfast better than most similar motels. Good value because cheap.
We stayed overnight at the Best Western a few days ago and were pleasantly surprised when we arrived. The motel is a typical 2-story motel with outside corridors. The rooms are updated and clean. The price was very good and the full breakfast was actually a full breakfast! The check-in was very quick. There is a pool but it does not open until April 1. There is a Chinese restaurant on the lot with a Pizza Hut across the street. Location is right downtown. I would stop here again when travelling through.
The beds in the room were amazing. so comfortable and we enjoyed the breakfast in the morning, The attendant was very helpful when the creamers were low and promptly responded to our requests concerning the milk and the creamersl
Average room, average quick hot breakfast. Phone system was not working, TV was difficult to figure out how to operate. I had to go to the office to get someone to show me how to operate the TV. The lady was nice and came to the room to show me how to operate it. She indicated numerous guest have difficultly with getting the TV to work.
We checked in around 6pm on Feb. 13th and Michelle was very nice and helpful. She made us feel at home. The beds were nice and comfortable. The next morning we had bagels and the girl working to set it up was super sweet. I will go back if we are in that area! Thank you ladies!!
We came to Safford to enjoy the Gila Box Riparian area and the Black Hills Rockhounding area with a group. The motel was easy to find and close to everything, including 2 good restaurants. Our room and bed was comfortable and clean. Price a little higher than some motels in the area, but we rely on Best Western for quality at their various prices and we're always satisfied. We look for value, not the cheapest price. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We would stay here again.
Moderate price. Moderate place. Nothing to write home about but adequate is the word to describe it. Breakfast better than most places like this type. Overall a B-. Parking close by room but no elevator for 2nd flood.
I stayed at the Best Western Desert Inn for 8 days. The room was comfortable and clean but dated. I stayed in room 214 in the corner. This was classified as the "honeymoon" suite. King sized bed was nice. There is a large corner soaker/spa tub in addition to the standard bathroom. The breakfast is a standard 2star hotel breakfast with those sausages that are alien... The waffles are decent. Over all for the price I paid and the comfort level recieived, I would stay there again as it was a good value for the dollar. There are plenty if food choices within a short walk.
The TV remote was difficult to understand. If you didn't have the cable box turned on, then the TV wouldn't work, or if you had the box on and not the TV, then the same result. Also the TV took a long time to warm up, some times up to a couple of minutes.
The staff at this hotel are pleasant, helpful and go out of their way to ensure you have a great experience. I travel with my dog and there was no designated potty place. The grassy areas were heavy with stickers and it was obvious that other visitors did not pick up after their pets. My stay was great, as for my 4 legged companion it was only so-so.
This is an older, refurbished motel that is a quentessential experience. If you want a sterile "big box motel" experience, go down the road. So, the eggs are frozen...get over it. This was a pleasant, comfortable value.
an older hotel, but extremely well cared for an comfortable. We were up-graded to a suite, which was nice, since our adult son had his own room. He and I watched a football game while my wife watched one of her favorite shows. Breakfast won't drive Denny's out of business, but for a free breakfast I'd eat it again.
Everything about this hotel was nice. Right down to the breakfast. But someone has to explain to me which member of management buys powdered eggs? Have they tried them? They are disgusting. Why ruin an otherwise great experience? No hotel which serves a hot breakfast should consider this item. Sorry SYSCO or whoever sells it.
Overall we were pleased with our stay (thou being next to the ice machine isn't idea, but we got a ground floor room as requested originally). Their breakfast is included and on our stay they had strawberry flavored waffle batter (nice change) and overall good selection of breakfast items. Front desk and other staff all very friendly and helpful. We would stay again.
My first look at room was please to see a nice room . After getting into room started smelling like someone had pee in there. Light switch at door didn't turn on light. There 4 different round spots on floor that were large which could explain the smell. Was to tired to change rooms. I had a airfresher to try and get it the smell out plus a candle . Bathroom light acted like it didn't want to come on . Breakfast was great and the desk people were friendly.
Location and room were both good. I didn't use the pool so can't comment on that. Good that there was one. Staff was friendly and helpful Walking distance to resturants is a plus. CATV good. I was a bit dissapointed in the in-room wi-fi, as the speeds were a bit slow. Otherwise a good overnight stay.
The breakfast selection was excellent--yogurt, cereals, many hot items--something for everyone. We also appreciated the in-room coffee service. However, the shower drained slowly until you play with it; the TV should never have been so difficult to operate. The dog-walking areas are an empty lot across the street, reasonably junk-free, and an empty lot behind the hotel, which was covered with broken glass and discarded items of all sorts. Neither were we thrilled when a group of guests decided to have a loud grill party under the eaves and flowing into the parking lot right outside our room. Tables were also set up, and coolers in the back of the pickups had all sorts of liquid refreshments. To the management's credit, they did shut the whole thing down when asked, but we were appalled that this occurred in the first place.
