If you are unlucky enough to get a bedroom facing the road, you will not sleep at all. There is a very busy road right outside the window. The room is very small, and the air is very bad, but you can't open the window because of the noise. There is a loud noise even when the window is closed. Would not stay here again
Nice clean and comfortable rooms. Parking spaces are limited and expensive. Breakfast this Sunday seemed to be handled by unprofessional staff, resulting in frozen bread and not enough coffee. However the overall experience was very pleasant.
We needed a hotel close to the small town of Vorning, and this one was a convenient location. I was pleased with the room size and decor. It has a nice courtyard that we used often to sit and visit with others in our traveling party. We brought in our food and dined there. The rooms were a bit warm due to unseasonably hot weather, but fans were provided. We had expected to have mini-fridge, but that was apparently a mistake in the list of amenities. Otherwise, all was as expected and more.
Very helpful staff who care about their customers, I arrived very late and was booked in swiftly even though my company hadn't confirmed my booking. Towards the end of my stay I was helped in finding a Covid-19 testing centre, thanks all
We stayed at the Best Western in Randers for one night but we would of gladly stayed longer. The hotel is clean and beautiful. Our room (Junior suite) was spacious and had a luxurious feel. The grab bag breakfast was amazing with 2 rolls, rye bread, French bread, butter, jam, cheese, salami, ham, water, orange juice and an apple. Only recommendation I would make would they should have a fridge in room. Other than that an amazing stay and we can't wait to visit again.
Reception confirmed my dietary needs at check in. I had made a mistake with my booking (most likely on my part) and the receptionist basically said leave it with her and enjoy my stay. That was really welcome, I was really tired, slept 11 hours, fantastic shower, abd then nice receptionist on the way to breakfast and check out and there were some special warm buffet items just for me (I assume as there were no other guests when I went to breakfast). I am vegan, travelling alone and I felt taken care off. The lady looking after breakfast was lovely and brought almond milk to the table. I was then offered a to go coffee from the buffet at check out. That was a nice touch. The facilities are clean and maintained and they do their best to accommodate parking or direct you to free parking.
Stayed at this establishment when in Randers, a sleepy little town in the danish peninsula of Jutland The hotel is very comfortable with clean and modern rooms. Pleasant staff and a really good breakfast which is itself worth the stay
Newly renovated throughout Traffic noise was a bit load on the street side There's an inner courtyard that's to enjoy a beer or two Recommend Carlsberg 1883 Its new from old recipe. The breakfast is VERY good as well as the fixed menu in the evening is also good Talk to the Chef A dear with loads of information
My family and I stayed here for one night. Check in was smooth and all the staff was very friendly. The room was on the smaller side. However the room was clean and the quite new. The breakfast selection was not too big and the items of high quality. I would recommend the hotel to anyone.
The rooms and the public area looks very good. The hotel is very clean. Breakfast was very god. The disadvantages of the hotel was the nois from the road and just a few parking space outside the Hotel. We had to park on a public parking lot just a few blocks from the hotel. The parking was free.
A very nice Hotel near station with friendly staff lovely lounge & rooms were comfortable really enjoyed my stay with good breakfast too. A short walk from the Centre but if it's wet beware take some rain clothes as it does come own in buckets ..
We stayed for a single night and the hotel room was more than we had expected for the price we paid. It was large, cozy, and had plenty of room for us, even with a baby carriage in the room. The included breakfast was really good. A lot of local and ecologic ingredients.
Stayed 2 nights from 19th April to 21st April. Family of four. We received a warm welcome when we arrived! Actually we were so pleasantly surprised by the genuine nature of the staff who received us. Our kids got goody bags and we were checked in smoothly and swiftly and provided with all information we needed. The hotel is very clean. Tastefully decorated. Well maintained. Breakfast is very good. Location is perfect. Good easy parking. Short walk to Randers Regnskov, city centre, and restaurants, big Lidl supermarket very close, McDonalds nearby :-). Really nice place to use as a base for exploring the area. Only downside - rooms had no air con so got a bit warm, but we opened the window and we were fine. Wonderful stay... I highly recommend!
Very nice hotel in center of Randers. Located just at edge of center, which allows free parking. Good beds, good breakfast, and very friendly staff. Buffet dinner at night; on walking distance to many restaurants. Perfect place to stay.
What a gorgeous boutique property....across the road from the train station and a 10 minute walk into town this property is very well located if coming in by train. The hotel is lovely with a great restaurant, rooms are well appointed. Would definitely recommend!
This Hotel is close to the city center of Randers. Most restaurants are in walking Distance. The Hotel and Rooms are clean and the people are nice. The breakfast is well sorted, international and of good quality. There is no restaurant but a nice bar with drinks as local beer and small snacks. To protect the environment the rooms are not airconditioned, but most time of the year it is not relevant in Denmark.
We stayed at this hotel for one night in June 2018. The room was clean and a decent size. It is a nice walk into town to see the sights. The breakfast was good but would have like a gluten free bread option. The staff was friendly and helpful.
I like the location of the hotel and also, the cleanliness of the rooms and the whole place. Staff especially the receptionists are friendly. :-) Will definitely return here when I am back in Denmark.
Clean, moderately sized room with decent bathroom. As hotel sits on a corner with two busy streets, there are no views. Ventilation required via windows. Parking available on site but limited. Breakfast was simple. Good for short stopover.
Best Western Plus Hotel Kronjylland is a classical old hotel located close to the railway station. I spent one night there in a spacious nicely decorated room with comfortable beds, a modern bathroom, TV and free WIFI. There is a very nice restaurant in the hotel. It serves a very nice breakfast. The staff was friendly and helpful. A recommendable hotel.
I can highly recommend this hotel for stays in Randers. It is near to the city centre, the rooms are nice decorated, it is very clean and the staff is really professional and serviceminded. Bed and sheet quality is high! The breakfast buffet has a good selection and is if high quality. We will stay there again.
As a female traveller often staying alone, friendliness and comfort is most important to me which this hotel offered. Very nice hotel, unfortunately on the night of my stay it only offered a buffet, which was OK but not ideally my choice.
Overall a very satisfied stay at Best Western Randers. Clean room and good service in all levels. The staff was vere accommodating. Very delicius brekfast indeed. Will certainly stay here again. and can recommend this Hotel. And in fact that is very near to the railwaystation it is very easy to reach from way of traveling.
An overall very positive experience to vist this hotel - which it has been every time I have been there. Very nice decor and a lovely little courtyard. The staff is forthcoming and smiling. I missed an iron and an ironing board in the room but mayby I could have gotten one if I had checked with the reception (which I didn't).
Good hotel, close to the city and walking distance to some decent restaurants and bars. There are also a few good running routes nearby if you need to clear your head after a day at the office. Rooms are clean and functional with the usual amenities. Only slight issues is the Internet connection is a little slow and Skype calls to family kept freezing / dropping. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The car park is quite small, so be careful if you park on the road outside. The staff at reception have a map of free car parks close by to avoid unwanted fines. Overall a good stay and will stay here again in the future
Good stay but a little bit expensive for the small room I have. But I think that is due to danish price. Hotel is about 8-10 minutes far from city center with its restaurants. Car parc is quite small but another free one is accessible by foot (2 minutes).
A nice hotel with a reasonable room, good location. I must say that staff is extremely friendly, the lady at reception is really helpful and customer focused. The hotel is close to the train station, also downtown is just a few minutes walk away. Recommended hotel.
Nice, calm and clean room with a perfekt shower. Friendly, welcoming and helpful staff who gave is our room many hours early. Breakfast was not overwhelming but the coffee was good and you absolutely don't need not starve.
We have been here only for one night. Dinner was very nice and tasty. Only few option but all very good and at a proper price. Breakfast is good. Staff at the hotel Is a plus. All very kind and nice with us.
Due to renovations we got upgraded to newly renovated - better - rooms and they were great. Spacious and in general very nice. Free parking and good wi-fi. Breakfast very good and nice staff. Didn't try the bar, the restaurant or the garden, but I'm sure they're good. Should I ever go to Randers again, this is where I'll stay. Not very central, but only a 10 minute walk downtown.
This is a great hotel, the best in our stays in Denmark. The hotel is newly renovated and very well done. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable. The breakfast is great with many fresh options and plenty of seating. The hotel has convenient parking included and is also just a short walk to downtown Randers. There is also a nice courtyard and a bar always open for a nice evening drink. The only issue we had was the room got a little warm in the summer and it was difficult to cool down the room by just opening windows with a busy street outside, a fan would have been helpful.
We arrived in Randers by train and this hotel is within 300 metres of the station. From entry, we just loved it. It has a beautiful interior decor and it's clean and fresh. We booked a Superior room and it was huge in size and came with a balcony. Our only criticism is that the light fitting above the coffee table is hung too low and we kept hitting our heads. The staff were lovely and we enjoyed having a relaxing drink in the open-air courtyard. The breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice of hot and cold foods. We would have liked to stay longer it was so nice. That in itself is the best recommendation!
Location is great: is just 3 min from the train station and 10 min by foot to the Center of town. I took a single room, which is not big, but very well thought through, very functional. And indeed the bathroom is spacious. Everything is very clean and well kept. There is a lovely inner courtyard to relax. The hotel seems to have merged several -previously separate- buildings, so that there are stairs a bit everywhere. I find it adds much charm, but it can be a problem for some: make sure you ask for a room that is accessible without stairs.
the hotel have a great location closed to the city center, the good restaurant was serving very delicious food in a resistible pries. i was enjoining my stay. the room was clean and quite the personal was helpful and friendly
Our stylish and well appointed Superior room was large and approximately 30sq.mt. The room was clean, had lovely furniture and a very comfortable bed. The Buffet dinner was delicious and plentiful and very good value for 149kr per person. The hotel oozed with Danish 'hygge' cosines. Excellent staff. The hotel is approximately 7 mins. Walk from the city centre.
I had a great stay at this Best Western, the breakfast was awesome and the front desk was amazing. The only main problem was that the cleaning in our room's balconey wasn't very good. There were a big cup of cigarettes on the balconey.
A busineshotel on the outskirts of Randers, Danmark. Rooms are fine but noisy, excellent beds, ok bathroom, cleaning needs to be improved, excellent breakfast. Limited space on the 'carpark' just in front of the hotel.
Located 10 min walk from centre of town this hotel is very clean, and lovely. Room is large with separate bathroom area, full large shower. Linen lovely and staff friendly. Full breakfast was great, hot and cold dishes. It is on busy street so can be bit noisy but didn't bother us. Supermarket opposite.
We stopped at this hotel for an overnight stay. The hotel is located in a central location and a ten minute walk gets you to the central place of the town. The rooms are small but well furnished. The staff at the hotel is very helpful and courteous. We had breakfast at the restaurant and it was a moderate spread of essential breakfast items. All basic amenities have been taken care of by the hotel to ensure customer satisfaction. The hotel is well maintained and very much okay for a short stay at Randers.
The location to town is pretty good - 5-10 minute walk. The breakfast was adequate with both hot & cold selections. However, the room was non-descript, lacked basic toiletries and, if you are facing the interior courtyard, you will hear noise from the bar next door until very late in the evening.
Visited Randers for a brief 2 night business trip. Despite arriving late in the evening the hotel check-in was friendly and seamless. The room I was allocated was spacious and very clean. Breakfast provided a good choice of cold and warm food. Hotel staff were very attentive throughout. A good place to stay.
Rooms were beautiful and to the highest quality as was while hotel. Great location to access the town centre and square where a selection of good quality restaurants and cafes can be found. Would highly recommend this hotel to everyone and I would enjoy returning here on my next business trip.
We spent one night at this hotel and I will never go back there. I am very much surprised that this hotel has 4 star rating. In my opinion it is 1 maybe 2 stars. Rooms are tiny and lack any decor. Very plain, on the par with an average hostel. 3 levels are serviced by a single quite small elevator which creates queeus at the times of checkin and checkout. Tiny bathroom, no toiletries on offer and quite noisy rooms facing the street. That day was very rainy and to avoid getting wet (no umbrellas at the hotel) we accepted the offer to have buffet dinner at the hotel. The punishment for making this decision was severe. The buffet dinner had the following choices: turkey with roast potatoes or roast potatoes with turkey. Variety was overwhelming. There also was some salad pretending to be Waldorf salad which was not even close to the famous creation. There were also 2 types of bread and 2 types of butter fancily presented as a roll. Turkey was dry as a bone and tasted like cardboard. Even with those limited choices the single waiter was absolutely incompetent not being able to serve properly half a dozen unfortunate clients. To add an insult to the injury at the end of the dinner he tried to charge me an equivalent of $8.00 for a jug of tepid tap water. After rebuke that charge was removed but and excuse was that "other people did pay for the water". If he at least tried to make a sellable product out of this water by dropping a couple of cubes of ice and a slice of lemon but this never occured to him. I stayed in many Best Western hotels in different countries but never been to the one as bad as tbis one. Never again.
We had a great stay in Randers at the Best Western where tbe staff was helpful and the room nice and comfy. The breakfast buffet was outstanding as well. Just ask for a room on the quiet side of the hotel.
Nice hotel. Booked the hotel with a discount and we had a nice night in a big and nice room. Did not try their breakfirst as we had other plans, but it looked very good from the distance. Would and will go there again.
The hotel has a very good service and a free parking lot for guests. The rooms are very clean and the bathroom has a small hairdryer that can be useful. There is a supermarket in front of it (Lidl), the train station is also very close and the center of the town is only 5 minutes away.
Traditional hotel with traditional interior. Very nice rooms. Breakfast as well good. Service No issues. The only issue about the place is a noice from outside. IT was not dramatic but you could hear It. We managed and slept ok. But It can disturb. Rest perfect.
Bad location because Hotel is between roads. Traffic noise is disturbing all night no matter what side of hotel your room is. Breakfast is ok. Rooms are nice. Staff is always very friendly. Small parking place but nearby big free parking area.
I was there two times in 2015 and had the same room 406, it's a good room. As is the hotel, excellent is actually the right word, and it's nice close to midtown. It's always clean and nice. The service from all groups of the employs, was in top, especially Amanda was very helpful, thanks. Likewise is the breakfast and diner, tasty and plentiful. Keep up the good work there, Best Western can only be glad, that they have you in there concern.
This is truly a wonderful place to stay. Very good rooms, newly decorated, excellent wifi, great service and outstanding breakfast. At times, parking is a problem, but that the only negative thing I can find, everything else is top class. Haven't stayed here since it was a "Clarion collection"- hotel, but it is just as good now, and redecorated. I'll be back - best in Midt-Jylland.
Stayed just one night. Very nice place unfortunately the hotel restaurant was closed on a Monday night so walked 10 minutes into the city centre where there were quite a few restaurant and bars to choose from. Nice room which unfortunately looked out over a pretty busy road which wasn't great. Bed was comfortable and breakfast good.
Stayed at this hotel for a single night last weekend. The beds are comfortable ... I have seen better pillows to be honest, but they did the job. Room was spacious with a great view to a quiet street corner and the combined toilet/shower is in a separate room. Everything works as you might expect. The reason for the extra star on this review is that the hotel is beautifully designed in the lobby area and especially in the breakfast room. I will attach a couple of pictures although they do not fully convey the nice experience. Oh, and the breakfast buffet was terrific as well ^_^
I always arrive late in this hotel. Staff is always in good mood and I get friendly professional service. Rooms are nice and breakfast good with lot of choices. Only small inconvenience is to find parking place, but I have always found one. I can warmly recommend this hotel.
This is the 2nd time I have stayed at this hotel. I think the staff are very hospitable and knowledgeable. The rooms are smart, well equipped and of a very decent size. The bar is cosy and the hotel has superb (FREE) WiFi throughout. I will stay here again when I am next in Randers on business.
My room was clean, well equipped and well laid out. It faced the main road, so there was a little noise, but not bad enough to disturb my sleep. The breakfast selection was more than sufficient, and everything that I had was very good. The bar area was small and quiet, with a small selection of beer, but it was fine for me. The reception was also good. There is a small area for hotel L parking, with limited spaces, but there is also some street parking. I visited the bar one night and asked for some food. I was told that the restaurant was open, but I explained that I just wanted something small like a salad, and the girl from reception went into the kitchen and brought me out a salad, which was perfect. Her helpfulness was something that I really appreciated. The staff also remembered my choice of beer and my room number which was very professional. Overall I think the staff were brilliant, and extremely helpful, this turned a good stay into a great stay. I highly recommend this hotel.
We had a one night stay at this hotel and it was a very nice experience. Big room, nice location and a great breakfast. Its only a few minutes away from the city center and the Rainforests of Randers. For dinner we dined at the restaurant the hotel uses as they don't have their own restaurant and it was a very nice experience - great value and if you get the hotel to write you a note you will receive a 15% discount
Great hotel with very friendly staff and excellent breakfast with hot and cold dishes, cakes and fresh fruit. Nice backyard for hot summer days. Free parking. Only disadvantage was a small parking area.
Luckily we stayed in this hotel for only 1 night on a group tour. The public areas of the hotel are lovely and nicely decorated but the rooms are pretty basic and we had saggy beds. The bathroom we had was a reasonable size with a very good shower. The room was clean and the linen OK. The location is within easy walking distance to the centre of town. The service was excellent and the staff all speak good English. Our room on the 2nd floor fronted the main road into the town which was very busy and there was also a railway line behind the road. The room was pretty warm, with no air-conditioning, so we opened the windows for some fresh air but had to close them for the noise. Even with the double glazing the noise was loud with the windows shut. The WiFi was free, strong and reliable. Our travel company had booked another hotel in the centre of town but due to a fire they moved to the Best Western. The hotel has potential but not with the road and train noise.
every morning had to ask for bread to toast , was given one slice for my wife and one slice for myself, ..not good. also had to ask for hot water , and all hot items were in very short supply, on one occasion nothing left .@ 10.00 am, breakfast on until 10.30am if booking this hotel , take a loaf of bread.. back rooms come with free alarm wake up calls ,,,,trains constantly running close by no resterurant facilities , closed completely after breakfast. hotel not in a good location, unless you want to be close to a railway station, buildings facing hotel in very poor condition. not what I expected for Denmark, Glasgow is a far cleaner city.
