Best Western City Hotel Pirmasens

Great location downtown, 5 minute walk to pedestrian zone. Great breakfast buffet, coffee, tea, juices, cold cereals, eggs, sausage, bacon, lunch meats, cheeses, vegetables, yogurt, fresh breads and rolls - even a vegan section! We stayed in room 101. As you walk in, you are in a foyer. Directly opposite is the bathroom door, tub/shower with stuck on circles for traction and a hand bar for safety, toilet shelving and sink. To the right of the foyer was a room with a door which had a desk, TV, chair and sofa bed, full size, which was comfortable. To the left of the foyer was a bedroom with a full side bed and open closet and spots to sit with cushions. Both rooms had windows that opened for fresh air. Everywhere was clean. 4 euro per day to park, spots were a little tight. Top level, 3, had a walk out terrace with seating and nice views. Staff were friendly and helpful. What more could we want!

Friendly welcome and astonishing surrounding with 1000 small pictures of celebs with hats. We had a nice Croissant, a perfect Capuccino and a delicious Tomate Mozzarella, very fresh - with Raspberries(!) and Rucola. The hot chocolate you have tobtew yourself. Funny. Absoluty worth a visit.

Fantastic location in the heart of Pirmasens. Great breakfast, excellent staff service but the traffic noise was very bad; I couldn't sleep at all and bathroom towels are quite dirty with black marks.

The hotel was within walking distance of the train station and the main square. The staff was super friendly and spoke english. The WiFi only works in the lobby but we have T-mobile cell service so our phones worked in our rooms using our data.

Did not actually stay at this hotel only went to the breakfast buffet 3 times during my stay in Pirmasens. The food was delicious. Great selection. The staff at the front desk and at the buffet were very nice. Definitely will go there again on my next visit.

The staff were lovely here. It is a very small hotel in a small town. Lots of lovely resturants nearby and the science musesum. Breakfast was small but a good buffet. Rooms were clean and tidy, beds were comfortable. The main bar was well stocks and the seating area was pleasent to sit for a drink after work.

We are a couple with a baby. We stayed for one night. Positive: High Cleanness, Quietness, Comfortable Beds, Nice and helpful Staff, Nice Terrace. Negative: Parking Space ( there is no sufficient space for cars), Toiletries should be completed, No fridge inside the room

Excellent service. Speak English at reception. Bar for a beer when you arrive - very necessary after a long drive!!! Rooms exceptionally clean & very comfortable with king size beds and duvet and with good powerful shower and shower gel etc. provided. Kettle and tea/coffee/creamer in room. Breakfast excellent value. £7 per person with cooked and continental. Self service eat as much as you want. Asked for extra pillows and provided immediately. Sweet jars at reception to help yourself to. Always a cheery welcome after a long drive.

This hôtel looks somewhat functional and unprepossessing on the outside, but this belies the interior which is smart and fresh. Pirmasens is not a particularly inspiring town, but if you have reason to be in the area (the surrounding Palatinate Forest and the villages located in it are well worth exploring) then you could do a lot worse than staying at the City Hôtel Pirmasens. The rooms are comfortable, the staff exceptionally friendly, and the breakfast bar well stocked and varied. The one bugbear is the on-site parking, which is both limited and difficult to maneuver around if, like us, you have a large vehicle and are not lucky enough to get one of the half dozen level parking bays. On a couple of evenings we chose to park in the street because this was easier. Also, the traffic noise at the front of the hôtel can be rather intrusive for people like us who are used to country life and it is worth asking for a room located at the back of the building if possible - although even there the traffic in the surrounding streets is very noticeable with the windows ajar.

The staff was very nice, however we were a little confused when we called in for a late check in. She said ok I will wait until 9, and when we arrived she said, well I have to be here until midnight?? The room was ok, clean though, the sheets were a little scratchy, however there is a large patio upstairs and its very nice.

Been here for business. Friendly staff and very helpfull. Clean rooms and good breakfast. Only thing missing at breakfast is the real german dark bread. No restaurant but a few very good restaurants within walking distance. Small bar. Parking sometimes full but you can park in the street nearby for free from 18:00 - 08:00.

Nice hotel. Very comfortable sleep. I recommend the hotel for those who want to visit Pirmasens. It is right in the center of the city, near the train station. Great! I recommend. Also very nice staff.

Once we'd parked in th tight hotel car park and found our way back to the hotel entrance we were warmly received and treated some local cake and mulled wine and we were given useful tips on where to dine. Our rooms were well designed, well lit, and the bed was hard but comfortable. Breakfast was brilliant value at 5 euros, delicious hot and cold fare from the buffet.

Excellent hotel, excellent service and extremely pleasant and helpful staff as we normally find in Best Western Hotels. We would highly recommend it and all the other Best Western Hotels we have stayed at in the past.

The staff was very friendly and accommodating, coming from Canada, we were surprised that they knew who we were when we walked up to the front desk. The hotel was very clean and quiet. We will be returning to the Best Western Pirmasens on our next visit to Germany.

We stayed for two very relaxing evenings at this hotel. The staff was most accommodating, courteous, and professional. The suite we were in was very spacious and the decor is modern. The beds are exceptionally comfortable and the bathroom was spacious. The breakfast buffet was scrumptious and had a wide variety of hot and cold food. The wifi was excellent and easy to connect to. As stated, it is a short walk from the train station and the Fussgangerzone (outside mall) is very close for all of your shopping needs. We traveled for two weeks through Europe and this was the best hotel by far.

We stayed at this hotel for one night. It is very centrally located (between the train station and city center). Our rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. They offer a delicious buffet breakfast and the staff is friendly and helpful :)

The hotel is situated a short walk from the Hauptbanhof, on the fringe of the town centre. The welcome from the lady at the reception desk was warm and cheerful and the room itself was comfortable, quite spacious and offered everything required. The one possible doubt was the fact that the WC was situated on a platform: forgetful gentlemen might be advised to "sitzpinkeln" as an unwary backward step could be dangerous! The breakfast, offered for just 5 euros, included hot choices and was superb value for money and the wifi was trouble-free. Highly recommended if staying in Pirmasens!

Our company is currently doing a project in Germany. We stayed at the BEST WESTERN City Hotel Pirmasens. Most of our staff stayed for 2 weeks; some were there for over a month. It was a wonderful experience! Very clean. The staff was extremely courteous. We loved everything about the hotel! We are coming back to Germany in a few months, and we plan to stay at the BEST WESTERN City Hotel Pirmasens again!

All personnel at this hotel get five stars for service, helpfulness, and patience. My only recommendation is that you reserve the larger room as the regular rooms are too small for the average traveler staying more than one or two nights. The breakfast was exceptional and very fresh. The staff waited on our team at every opportunity.
