« Excellent Staff Went Beyond The Call of Duty »

The room, price, and all were completely fine, but what made this an unusually good experience was the way the staff stepped up during our family emergency. They made all the difference between an experience that could have meant real hardship and doing what it took to help things come together for us. We are very appreciative.

« Good for the price. »

This was the closest hotel to the friends we were visiting so we gave it a try. The price was good for a clean no frills room. Hot tub was nice but the pool was cold. Room was clean and quiet, would stay again.

    « A good place to stay »

This is the best place in this area at the junction of I15 and California 138. It was a bit noisy both due to its proximity to I15 and some noise from the room above if you are on the 1st floor. However, it's a good stop over point, the staff is friendly, you can park your car in front of your room, and it has free breakfast to get you going quickly in the morning. Convenience stores, fast food, and gas stations add to the stopover value.

« Oasis in the desert »

This location has it all. Friendly staff, great location, and wonderful amenities. Don't pass it up. The breakfast is awesome and so is the super hot tub. The Del Taco next door is in a gas station, but is still open 24 hours and made us some delicious food.

« Sleeping well in Cajon »

Very nice stop on the way to Las Vegas. Friendly staff, comfortable room, great coffee, and a delicious breakfast. All you would expect from a Best Western. Met lots of interesting hikers traveling the Mexico to Canada trail. I wouldn't hesitate to return.

« Convenient spot to stay »

A very nice and reasonable priced location with easy accommodation and off the I15 freeway. Good WiFi and breakfast in the morning. Only issue we discovered is the staff will not allow food from the breakfast area to be brought back to our room.

    « This Junction Functions! »

This Best Western has a few special rooms - with 3 queen beds (yes, I said 3), a table and chairs, a sofa and coffee table! It's very spacious. The microwave and refrigerator are in a large walk-in closet, which also accommodates 2 luggage racks as well as a place to hang jackets, an iron, ironing board, and coffee maker. Our room faced the back, so there was no freeway noise. It's a little dated - most sockets are on the opposite side of the room from the beds, so an extension cord would help if you want your phone nearby. Grab this room if you can! They offer a full breakfast, with sausage, eggs, a waffle maker, yogurt, bagels and muffins, served from 6 to 10am. Everybody there was helpful and friendly. It is exactly at the junction of 15 and 138; very convenient. There 's a mini-mart and Del Taco adjacent to the property. What a pleasant stay!

« Staying in Best Western Cajon Pass »

Wonderful place to stay, people excellent, staff excellent, management excellent and any time I have a chance to stay in the hotel that will be the hotel for me to choose. Thank you. Sincerely, Mireck Adam Kullitt.

« Excellent Room but could not sleep due to plumbing noise »

The staff is very friendly; the room was very clean; however, the only night I was there I was unable to get to sleep until minutes before 5:00AM due to loud plumbing noise (like shower running) all night long. I travel with my dog which I believe is why I was assigned a ground floor room. I'm guessing that the plumbing noise would not have been a problem on the 2nd floor :-( I would have awarded an 'excellent' score had I been able to sleep ;-)

« Good rate right off Interstate. »

We stayed one night here on our way into San Bernardino. Was a little concerned beings that it was the only hotel, but was nicely surprised at how clean and nice it was. The check in clerks were nice and friendly despite it being Christmas eve and they were having to work.

    « Poor room service »

During my stay of 3 nights my room was not cleaned once, the room keepers are rude and talk loud slur that can be heard through all the hotel. Front desk folks and hotel managers are very nice and kind people. This hotel have a great location and price. the only downside is room keeping services people quality

    « Nice and clean »

Was tired and this was right off the interstate. Was pleasantly surprised how nice and clean it was. Would recommend to anyone in need of sleep while traveling down Cajon Pass to San Bernardino. Staff was very friendly too.

    « Nice »

very comfortable & safe spot. Kinda off to its self but right of the I 15. Would definitely stay again. Rick at front desk was great & the breakfast had great choices. Easy on & off. Great rooms & accommodations.

« Annual trip to visit Uncle Joe »

It was a good trip to visit Uncle JOE. Eldest brother of the Ruiz family and loved by all. This Best Western is in just the right place for us to stop and stay. Friendly people, good service, comfy beds, free breakfast, pool and sauna and a Del Taco to walk too. This place is about 10 minutes from Wrightwood so it is just right.

« A little dusty and in need of updated. »

We were so relieved that this place had a room for us on Black Friday. It is a little tired and needs some paint, walls redone, bathroom update, and generally a little more TLC. However, we welcomed the chance to get off the road and rest.

    « Good Overnight Stop »

This was our first time at this hotel. Everything was clean and in good working order. We appreciate not being charged a pet fee. Free breakfast was good, with extra hot items scrambled eggs and sausage. Del Taco and gas station next door. Easy access to I-15

« Great Beds and Towels »

The beds were very comfortable and the towels were big, soft, and absorbent! Overall a great experience. We stayed at a more expensive hotel the following nights, and their beds were awful and with scratchy towels.

The location of the motel makes it a place to stop overnight and not a distination. Other than 2 fast food places the closest place to eat in 10 miles away. Getting in and out of the motel on the highway is not a pleasant experiance. Other than this the motel is an OK place to stop for the night. The room was clean inside and everything worked fine. The WiFi is standard motel speed but there is fantastic cell service. The room was suprisingly quiet for being so close to the freeway and the trains. They offered a full hot breakfast in a tiney area, eggs, sausage, waffles, cerials, and some rolls. the selection was impressive sor such a small space. The main drawback was haveing to drive at least 10 miles in any direction to get dinner. The main attraction is it is right on the freeway at almost the top of the pass.

« Great location, clean and helpfull staff »

Great location if headed towards Vegas or the desert and need a night stay. Hotel is clean and staff is very helpful. Breakfast was good, and cannot complaint beds where very comfortable. We had 3 rooms and no complaints from any guests.

    « Very impressed »

On our way to Disneyland and needed a hotel for the night. Booked online and was worried if it would live up to its rating and it does! Very impressed with this hotel! Staff is very accommodating. Rooms are spacious, well laid out and clean. You feel comfortable as soon as you walk in. No doubt about it, I would stop here again!

    « great value »

Freeway close to where I was doing business. Breakfast wasnicely presented and a good reason to stay here. Pool and jacuzzi were very tempting. Water pressure in shower was excellent. Ask for a room on the west side to reduce freeway noise.

    « I came back »

I have reviewed this Hotel 4 years ago so will not repeat myself. It has maintained its high standards despite being in the middle of a vast bush fire a year ago. No sign of it at the hotel. Food choices remain limited locally but the breakfast is good with a choice of hot items. The room was very clean and comfortable and showed signs of continual maintenance. I came back because of two things; the location where I wanted to be and also the quality of the stay. Keep it up. I believe that despite its location, Close to the Interstate and the railway it is quiet. It is screened from noise by trees and its location.

« Best Best Western ever »

The hotel hand rooms have been updated and the room was very clean and comfortable. The staff were very helpful. The breakfast included hot food, which was a nice surprise. I'd recommend this Best Western.

« Overnight on the way to Las Vegas »

Strategic location. My husband and I we're on our way to Vegas and it was perfect to head out from there the next morning instead of from Downtown LA. Saved us some time. Staff was friendly and breakfast was simple but good.

    « Sewing Event »

Easy freeway access. Noise was never an issue and we had a room facing East towards the freeway. All the staff were great, very helpful and accommodating. The bed was wonderful. Breakfast was delicious.

« Stay here when you can drive no further »

The hotel itself is OK...and just ok. There's nothing special about it other than it's relatively close to Wrightwood...we is why we stayed. The staff, while not unfriendly, are pretty much indifferent. The rooms are decent enough for the price but the chair in our room was sketchy. (wobbly) And the coffee maker had water in it and needed a serious cleaning before I'd use it. If you're done driving and can't make it a few miles either's ok. And no restaurants within miles.

« strategic location, average best western »

Room was clean, simple decor. Mattresses were not comfortable, maybe old. There are trains passing by all night long, but that's the cajon pass ;) overall it is good to rest here if you're travelling! Breakfast was simple and essential.

    « Horrible Manager »

I stayed here with my fiancé for three days. The room was great for the price, the breakfast was OK, and the staff were friendly except for the manager. He came across fake friendly. On the last day I walked into the lobby and heard him yelling and cussing out one of his employees in the back. He continually yelled the F word and made me feel really uncomfortable, and I could hear their entire conversation. It was completely unprofessional and insane. He came out after he was done screaming with the same fake smile on his face and insincere attitude that he greeted us with the first day. All in all I would give this hotel 5 stars if not for the manager.

    « AWESOME experience!.!. »

it was seriously the BEST hospitality and service that I have seen in a very long time ... the staff made me actually feel welcome as a guest... all around a top notch place to stay and I have and will continue to recommend THIS particular BW to anyone.. great job guys!!

« Clean and cold air, comforable beds »

I was so tired and there was Best Western Cajon Pass,Phelan,CA Very Happy I did, the Room exceeded my first impression of the Hotel. Even thought near a rail road track. We were so tired from driving from South Pasadena that after trying a couple other hotel were full. I kept checking my phone for other places along the way and once it got dark I was getting upset we would not find a place. But we saw Best Western sign, my husband went in to see the availablity then another lady step in front of him and got the next room.I was to tired to fight about and they still had another room.

    « Excellent trip »

This was a last minute trip and we were very satisfied all around in all aspects. Highly recommend!!! Good breakfast and comfy beds. Friendly staff and very helpful as well. There's food n gas nearby.

« Friendly, Clean, Good Breakfast »

Room was nice, the staff was accommodating, pool and jucuzzi was open and continental breakfast in the morning. There are no restaurants nearby, Subway was the only thing I saw. Freeway close, easy on and off.

« Comfortable, well located and efficient »

Located in a great spot off exit#131 on 215. Easy in and out. Good Breakfast and comfortable clean rooms. Well priced. Very accommodating staff. This is just the kind of place you look for on the road.

« A visit to see uncle Joe! »

We see uncle Joe 2 to 3 times a year. We stay here and have enjoyed it every time. About 15 miles to Wrightwood where he lives. It is a nice drive to Wrightwood from this hotel, rooms are clean, beds are comfortable and you don't hear the road traffic. There is a McDonalds near by and they have a pool!!

« Bad Customer Service, other than that okay Best Western »

The manager Rick was inhospitable. Curt and rude would be the words I would use to describe him. He definitely needs retraining on customer service, but given his age it might be pointless. Other than that standard Best Western. I have stayed in many and this one was towards the middle of my expectations.

« Must leave by noon if you want room cleaned »

We stayed in the 3 bed room, which is large and a great deal. However if you are staying more than 1 night, you must have housekeeping in by noon or they will not clean your room. They did not let us know prior so we had dirty towels and overflowing trash for our 3 day stay.

« Good for big family »

The inn has a triple queen room which has 3 queen beds plus a king size sofa bed that can sleep up to 8 adults. The rate of the triple queen room is much lower than 2 double queen rooms which make it a great deal.

    « Clean and friendly »

We were PCT hikers having a one night break here. It was what you would expect from a BW. Clean and comfortable not more. Hot water takes a bit to come through because they are on propane. Jacuzi and pool looked nice and clean.

    « Truck Driver B K 562 »

This location is a hidden gem... I will make it my go-to stop whenever I require a layover and would also feel comfortable with taking my family here during any personal trips. Very nice place to stay!

« On the Pacific Crest Trail »

On a motorcycle road trip, we were looking for a motel outside of San Bernardino. At the junction of I-15 and US 138 is Cajon Pass. When we arrived, the motel looked as though it was closed. No cars in the parking lot on a Wednesday evening around 5ish pm. However, the office was open. Our group got very clean rooms on the ground floor close to our motorcycles. Since the location is on the Pacific Crest trail, backpackers were checking in for the next few hours. Hint, if you don't want to hear backpackers above you pacing the floor for the next few hours, get a room on the second floor. They drop their gear and the floor squeeks. Truckers were quiet.

« Very nice, friendly staff »

Stayed a night while hiking the Pacific Crest Trail. Clean, comfortable and a great value. They offer discounts to hikers and the staff was efficient and friendly. Good free breakfast. Not many dining options nearby though.

    « Good overnight stay! »

This motel is a good choice for being on the road and need a safe overnight stay right off I15. Room was basic but clean. Not big not fancy. Clean room and fresh linens, mini microwave and fridge. Hot breakfast was good. You can hear the Highway, but convenient and safe. Good staff! Close to food and gas.

« Welcome Respite From Climbing and Wind »

The Best Western at Cajon Pass has few neighbors. Some establishments might coast with no nearby competition. We found this motel to provide good service and a comfortable rest, both extra welcome after climbing from Fontana into a strong headwind. Highly recommended for Route 66 Tourists whether on bikes or in cars.

    « Great Accomodations »

We needed to stay in this area to be near North San Bernardino. Perfectly convenient. This area is rural, and, yes, you will hear the freeway and trains. We just turned on the fan, and slept just fine. The staff is extremely helpful and welcoming. Breakfast was great. Our stay here was exactly what we were looking for.

    « A Mountain Respite »

A quiet low key Hotel that is situated in the mountains that offers a no fuss rest and welcome for weary travelers. If you arrive at night, keep your door close to avoid an invitation for insects. Perhaps citronella strips/candles could be used to avoid such annoyances. In the day hours, lizards can scurry in your room if you leave your door open. The facility offers an BBQ grill near the pool area. There are a few nearby fast food places like Subway and McDonalds. A 10 minute drive to purchase groceries in Hesperia/Victorville.

    « Clean and friendly »

The staff at this facility were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and the breakfast tasty and hot. They had a great variety of food and drink available. It was a pleasant surprise to learn they had pet friendly rooms and the fee was very minimal.

« Very good motel, loud location »

Being located at Cajon Jubction, right at the junction of Highway 15 and Highway 138 and two tracks of the Santa Fe railroad,.The traffic and train noise is very load and constant. That being said the motel itself is very nice. The staff was friendly, helpful, I needed a razor and was given one I was also offered ear plugs. The room was modern, very clean and comfortable. The breakfast room was clean and the food hot and good, There was no grass for our dog but a large dirt lot provided a place to walk.

« Cancellation policy has no consideration for unpredictable issue! »

Very disappointed with the cancellation policy. My 6yr old got very sick and had high fever the night before our stay. So I called hotel and let them know the unpredictable event and that we can't stay and had to cancel the booking. But their cancellation policy is 72 hrs ahead, otherwise no refund nor credit. So we paid the money without stay!

« Worse best western ever!!! »

This best western felt like we were at motel 6, the night manager was short & rude! We were in room 111 and could not give our 3yr old toddler a bath due to the plug was broken. Would not recommend or refer this place! Peter Patel remodel your place & get some people who enjoy their work & have better customer service! Don't you pay people to answer your phone on site Peter Patel?

« Our second visit to this hotel »

We made advanced reservations but were given a room facing the railroad tracks. Train noise through the night kept me awake. Our first visit we had a room on the opposite end of the hotel and did not hear the trains. Otherwise, the room was clean and comfortable and I do appreciate the refrigerator and microwave. The only convenient restaurants are McDonald's and Taco Bell.

  • 5
    « Impressive »

Clean rooms & excellent service. Very friendly staff. Breakfast is about $10 and they make your eggs any way you like. No powdered eggs here! They have a nightly wine tasting and there are many restaurants nearby. Price was just right. We will definitely be there again.

« Good place especially for a railfan »

I stayed here for two nights while on a railfanning holiday and for this it was ideal, with most of the iconic spots on the line over Cajon Pass a short drive away and some even within walking distance. The helpful receptionist changed my room to one with a rail view and I was able to sit on the balcony outside my room and watch the spectacular mountain view with trains passing a few hundred yards away. The room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast reasonable. Although there was road construction going on nearby it did not affect me. There was only fast food in the immediate vicinity, but I was able to find some good places to eat a few minutes' drive up the Interstate, although I believe that one of these was burnt down in the recent forest fire.

    « Highly Recommend! »

I could not recommend this Best Western more. The staff are incredible, friendly, and flexible. The breakfast was tasty and filling. The rooms were large, clean, quiet, comfy, and came at an excellent value. And the views were breathtaking. We broke down near this hotel, so we didn't end up staying here by choice. However, we are so happy that we did. The hotel staff went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and well taken care of during our stressful situation. We regret not having bathing suits to take a dip in the pool or the hot tub at night. If you are in the area, you should definitely stay here!

    « Best Stay Ever! »

Excellent service, food and room cleanliness. Our host "Rick" was very helpful when I booked the wrong date - He called Expedia and fixed it up in just a few minutes - The pool was clean, jacuzzi was hot and views were great!

    « One night stay. »

Great place. Nice view of the mountains with the train tracks. Friendly staff. Breakfast was so so, but then again I woke up late so I got scraps. Overall it was worth the one night stay. Easy check in and our process. If I were passing by again and needed to rest for the night, I would do it again in a heartbeat.

    « Don't listen to the negetives »

I stay at this hotel everytime I am passing through to Long Beach or L.A. and never have had a problem. Yes they had construction on the ramp but that has nothing to do with the hotel. Complain to the state. The rooms are always clean and the beds are comfortable. The staff are always willing to help with what they can. I travel about 300 days a year and expect a nice hotel and I think this place offers everything you would want.

« Good hotel with bad staff »

I have stayed here many times and been very satisfied. This recent time the staff was extremely slow and not service minded. Check in took 30 minutes and one of the 3 rooms was not as agreed when we booked 4 months ago. Keys did not work at return the second night.

    « Not a good choice »

Stayed here for one night. We had to go around 20 minutes because the exit ramp to the hotel from the expressway was closed. Try not to book here or call the hotel and ask if the road it's still on construction. Major construction on the highway is still underway, so yeah, you'll have noises during the day and night. The breakfast was skimpy, few choices, eggs and beef patties were gone an hour before breakfast was supposed to end and no one refilled, so we skipped breakfast. Also they have like 4-5 tables at their breakfast area, and noticed 2 other tables by the pool...seriously Best Western??? If the hotel would have been packed you wouldn't have had a table. If it's raining or cold outside, I'm supposed to go eat by the pool??? That's not an option. Also the pool was dirty, it had dirt and somekind of palm leaves on the bottom. Hotel room was clean, bathrooms are super small, one of our towells had a major yellow stain, so I just threw it on the floor...Shower system is so took me 5 mins to figure out how it works...There's also a train track passing close by, so it's rather noisy. Disappointed in this Best Western. Would rather pay $20 more and stay at La Quinta.

« Clean and Friendly, but... »

...overall average stay. The room was clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful, but this motel is pretty dated as far as lighting/electrical outlet access, etc. It's close to the freeway, so if you are on the highway side of the building, noise can be an issue (especially if road construction - which started very early - is going on). Seems to be very popular with PCT through-hikers, and they do have a washer/dryer and sell soap at the front desk. Overall, I'd stay again... just don't expect too much.

« Great manager, amazing breakfast! »

Spent one night here and was super impressed! The owner/manager went out of his way to find us a very quiet upstairs room. He was very kind and patient, we were very tired after a long day and flight. Breakfast was amazing and included all kinds of options and eggs and sausage. Great value, clean and quiet...ask for an upstairs back room.

« Great for convenience and comfort »

This hotel is perfect for convenience. It is right off Interstate 15 in the mountains where one does not have to deal with the city traffic and congestion. Perfect location to take a break from a long road trip.

« work on the breakfast »

Make sure you have more than enough food for your guests. every time I went in there it seemed to be empty. It is a very small area and there are a lot of guests, so it made it very uncomfortable. The chairs and tables are all jammed in and there is no room to move around. The staff on the other hand were great. I am terrible at names but we stayed long enough to see most of the staff.

« Great price, as well as service and a clean room »

Stay here approximately once a month on business. Price has always been great, especially taking into consideration the cleanliness of the rooms and the staff's service. Construction on nearby highway leaves a little to be desired in the way of peace and quiet, but I'm usually so tired when I arrive I don't even notice it. Beds are quite comfy and rooms quite modern as well. Recommend if you need a good bed at a reasonable price.

« Nice motel under the circumstances »

This motel would've gotten a higher rating if it wasn't for all of the construction going on in the area. Otherwise the rooms were comfortable, with better than average service. For the price I would recommend this motel.

    « Very nice Stay »

The hotel is very clean with comfortable beds and terrific WIFI. The breakfast was plentiful with many choices. There were waffles, eggs, sausage, all kinds of breads and beverages. The staff were all pleasant. I spoke with the desk agent, a room attendant and a maintenance worker who were very friendly. Best of all, the rate was great!

« Best Hotel to Stay at »

Always a great stay! Clean rooms, comfortable beds. Laundry amenities. Continental breakfast has many good choices. There is a hot tub to use. Always have great service, and friendly workers. Great stay every time I stay.

    « A great experience »

There was NOTHING wrong at this property during this stay. Staff, room breakfast, access, weather, were ALL top notch. Usually there is always something. Not here. We even thank the desk clerk upon checkout and told her how wonderful it was.

« Lots of Traffic but a good Stay »

I was on a solo trip watching trains and travelling on Route 66 and thought that this would be a good place to enjoy both. I requested a room facing the tracks and, although there is some train noise, it is far preferable to the constant freeway noise. Check in was easy but the front desk staff wasn't exactly warm and fuzzy. Maybe I was spoiled as the staff at the Best Western Colorado River Inn was over the top with hospitality. The room was huge! don't know why the room is so big but it was a comfortable place to hang out. It had a king sized bed, 3 comfortable arm chairs, desk, 2 desk chairs, flat screen tv and tons of channels to watch. I enjoyed the view of the railroad tracks. The room also has a walk-in closet, believe it or not, which houses a fridge, micowave and plenty of hangers for your clothes. The breakfast was the usual continental fare but good enough to start the day. Getting to and from this hotel is not easy due to the road construction on Highway 138 and the very busy traffic on this 2 lane road. Hopefully, once the construction is done, the traffic and access will ease a bit. I would certainly stay here again and happily recommend the Best Western Cajon Pass for its central location and clean rooms.

« call the srong number »

when i booked this i thought i was talking to Best Western and requested a bottom floor the person said no problem. but when we got there we had a 2nd floor but best western empoyee was kind to change that and charged us less i except a refund

    « Middle of everywhere! »

We needed a place to stay when we go to the mountains for some snow play with our toddler. Wrightwood offers few spots for free snow play and tubing, while Arrowhead has a small playground with swings etc and Big Bear has a beautiful park right at front of its lake for free snow play. I could not trust the condition of any log huts advertised in Wrightwood and Arrowhead/Big Bear hotels get expensive as ever when it snows. This place is a budget stay right in the middle of all these places. Rooms were clean and breakfast was generous. The walls were thin for effective noise proofing, but that did not bother us much. ? 1 Star for location, including gas station next door and couple of burger joints. ? 1 Star for price when compared to nearby accomodations. ? 1 Star for some great people I met manning the front desk. ? Star for ease of parking, cleanliness of rooms and bathroom. ? Minus .5 Star --- I am taking away .5 star for the staff either not knowing popular places around for activities or just don't want to suggest anything. Usually the front desk is the best place to get quick tips and suggestions about surrounding areas but that was not the case here unfortunately, just relied on Google and Yelp. ? Minus .5 Star --- Another minus .5 star for the first guy at the front desk (rest of them over two days were nice). It made me feel very unwelcomed when talking to him, the next day when he was helping serve breakfast, his replies to the guests were very blunt. I prayed not to deal with him while extending my stay or while I am there. I believe, this gentleman was senior or part of upper management. If that is true then I suppose he should be much polite than lower tier. I hope this attitude does not trickle down to their lower tier staff (who during my experience provided excellent service, reason for my +1 star) when they observe such examples.

« Nice stay passing through the area on the way to San Diego from Vegas! »

Stayed here because I left Las Vegas late and was headed to San Diego. Hotel was fine as well as the staff. Rooms were up to date for Best Western standards. Rooms was clean except for one small thing the tub looked partially clean like the housekeeper forgot to clean one side. Everything else was clean. Exterior corridors with a pool outdoors. Free breakfast offering the famous waffle maker and a few other hot items. Grounds kept up fine. Free wifi as well and fridge and microwave in room. Would stay again if needed traveling through the area. Be aware there are no restaurants just a Del Taco adjacent and a Mc Donald's on the other side of the highway which I had already eaten. Also there is major road construction going on at the exit ramp to the hotel. It was not a problem but I had to go up a couple of miles to the next exit and turn around and come back and exit on the other side of the freeway. This is a certified eco friendly hotel.

« On way to Oceanside »

Stopped here overnight on way to Oceanside, CA. Room was ok. Somewhat noisy with people outside making some noise which woke me up. Complimentary breakfast buffet was full service...including scrambled eggs and sausage. Given the price, the room and breakfast was a pretty good deal.

« Older hotel but very good overall »

This hotel is just off the highway which makes it easy to find and convenient. Road work is currently underway but that is temporary. We booked online for a rate that was clearly a mistake because the rate was very low. When we arrived, the rate was honored without question and the woman at check-in was friendly. The room was small but everything was in working order. Bed was comfortable. Overall, everything appeared clean but there was food left in the refrigerator from the last guest. Television was mounted on the wall, which was a plus. It left more space on top of the dresser for bags, etc. No restaurants near the hotel. The hotel is behind a gas station that has a Del Taco inside. We just walked over to the Del Taco to get a quick supper. Not the newest or fanciest hotel but comfortable and convenient for a quick stop.

    « Snow Access »

All in all it was a fine stay, with everything you would expect from a Great Western. The only problem was the noise from upstairs (kids running and very loud plumbing late at night) that interfered with our sleep. The location is great for access to Wrightwood and I suppose you need to brace yourself for seasonal day-trippers, especially if you happen to be one (as we were).

    « OK stay »

The price and the breakfast were good. The overall quality of stay was OK. The only issue we had is that after we went out for a day and came back to hotel at 5pm, we found that our room was not cleaned and the towers were not changed yet.

    « not very good »

Well, I went on a trip to Mt High ski resort and when we got back to the resort at around 645 at night, all of our clothe and computer s and computer chargers were packed away into our bags. they did not make our beds during the day and it was a very uncomfortable bed. not good experience

« The best Best Western yet. »

As I said above, this is the best Best Western I have stayed at yet. I travel for business and am at a hotel every night. If you are looking for a clean hotel with attentive staff on your way to Vegas, this is the place. California is doing construction around it right now but I didn't hear anything all night. They have the most channels to watch of any hotel I have been to today. Thanks for a great stay.

    « Caring, responsive staff »

Great location only 15 miles from San B, away from noise and commotion, but still a quick zoom down the freeway to town. The only place I stay when visiting San B. Fridge, TV, Microwave working and not loud. Large HD LG TV with Direct TV and plenty of channels. But what stands out is the service. During one stay, I had a minor problem with one aspect of the room that could not be quickly repaired, so I asked to switch to another room. When I returned that night, I discovered all my stuff had been carefully moved to the new room, things were in the exact same places to the inch! Rick, Pat, Heather, Cali and everyone is super nice, they are real people and actually care.

    « Fun Place »

The staff are regular, nice, funny people. They made my stay feel more comfortable instead of the standard up tight and proper people you would find. I will definitely be staying here everything I go to Mountain High.

    « Great stay! »

Hotel staff was great. Sent us to a great cafe up the mountain with home cooking. It was great food. Hotel is just fine with the price reasonable for California. Will stay here again when we return and recommend to friends.

    « It's over night, ok »

We're heading to LA, stopped here for the night. There is no delivery of food. We were told a McDonald's was local, we never saw it. There is a Dell taco in the gas station just in front of the hotel. Upon entering the room, towels in the bathroom were pretty old, and brown with stains. The bed is completely uncomfortable. But ok for a night. The tv was nice size. Basically it seems that this is yet another forgotten best western hotel. But if you just need to crash, it's cool!

    « saved my Bacon »

I recently drove a company truck from Lake Tahoe to Dana point for a conference. After driving until 1200am. I was checking out in the morning and Rick at the front desk had notice a tack weld on a piece of my cargo had broken an the wind had affected the metal. I inspected it and was able to rip it off with one hand. He observation and follow up prevented me in possibly being involved in an accident. Also, the gentleman that checked me in when I was exhausted was very helpful and put me in a ground level in front of my cargo. This place was very close to the highway and next to a gas station which had a food option. Breakfast was good. I didn't notice any road noise at night.

« Best Place to stay to view Trains »

Read the reviews before we booked this hotel so wasn't going to be disappointed when we got there, knew about the construction and we were there for the train spotting so it didn't worry us . The hotel was clean and tidy ,bathroom was a little small but as I said we where there for the trains so the noise of the trains didn't bother us. Breakfast was good to start the day .

    « Clean and Accommodating »

The Best Western on Cajon Pass was a nice place to stay. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The location is right off the highway, and located next to a Del Taco and a 76 station. I would recommend staying here.

« Nice place to stay, but ask questions when you checkin »

The hotel is nice and clean, check out staff is more helpful than the check in staff. Prefer this hotel than others in area. Breakfast in the morning is a bonus. Worth staying with construction nearby.

« Great overnight even with construction! »

The adjacent freeway construction is readily seen, but it didn't interfere with a good night's sleep, a hot and tasty breakfast, and a place just to relax before traveling farther. The staff were friendly and helpful, wanting to do all they could to assure a good stay.

I Honestly Tell Myself Why Do I Even Keep Bothering To Reserve With Bw Cajon Pass. Not Worth It, Bugs In Lobby, Rooms Smell, No Ice Because Construction Workers Use It All..Just Very Disappointed. Next Time, For $20-30 More Im Gonna Stay At Holiday Inn Or Marriott In Hesperia.

« Excellent Value and Customer Service »

The hotel is conveniently located off of the freeway and I found the staff to be extremely nice and helpful. Pet friendly and the room was comfortable and clean. The woman who checked us in gave us earplugs just in case the construction was too noisy, but neither my husband nor I noticed any noise. I left a beach towel behind and the manager called to let me know how. I was able to stop by a few days later on the way home and pick it up. For the price, it's a really excellent value.

    « Rough night sleep! »

Construction is loud, ALL NIGHT LONG!! Very bright lights!! The staff are not very friendly. We ran out of toilet paper and could not find anyone there to get some from!! Had to go to the gas station, which isn't too far away. The pool is closed during construction and that's 6 days a week!

« Great stay near Cajon Pass »

Great little hotel near Cajon Pass. It is in close proximity to all the train action if you in to that kind of stuff. Room was clean but not too fancy. The rooms include refrigerators and microwaves if you want to save move.

    « Good night's sleep »

Clean comfortable stay with all of the basics, and the pool was very inviting. Loud machinery along the highway started early, so next time I will request a room facing away from the highway! Overall it was a very good experience for one night.
