Grand Hotel d'Orange, BW Signature Collection

A place we stayed at a couple of times over the years was now somewhat disappointing. The location is obviously great and room was as expected, but the first evening we could not book a table at the restaurant. They claimed they had two big groups. When we returned from another restaurant, it didn't seem like there were two big groups there. The next day, when we returned from our morning activities, the room had not been cleaned, so when we left a few hours later we left the sign we wanted the room cleaned. Upon our return, still no clean Roon, so we asked reception. It should have been cleaned in the morning, but apparently they could not get it cleaned anymore in the afternoon. This was a disappointing experience, next time in Orange we may have to look for a different hotel.

A romantic time machine memory or a safe, relaxing, day or two of unwinding the Grand Hotel d'Orange is the place to stay. Wonderful breakfast, best bacon in France. A great place to visit at a reasonable price. Limited parking so reserve ahead of time!

Perfect situated in old town close to the ancient theater and the old church. Very ice small shops in the narrow streets next to the hotel. The restaurant was excellent, the food was inn top class. A smell in the room made the stay uncomfortable .

To stay in a Best Western collection hotel is always a gratifying and satisfying experience - spacious room, comfy bed, bed linens not as smelly as other bed sheets in other 4-star hotels, big tiled bedroom, clean and AC is quiet. Good restaurant to have a delicious meal, pleased we had a friendly Indian guy of Tibet origin to serve us. Front desk staff are obliging, but more smiles from them are needed to create a happy atmosphere and ambiance. Overall, it's a nice hotel to stay in historical Orange, nice location, quiet area and walking distance to restaurants, shops, etc. And most of all, a walking distance to the Antique Theater, a big plus!!

I would recommend people stay away from the hotel. it was an awful experience. The room I got was nothing like what you'd expect from a 4-star hotel. It was in a separate building on the ground floor and a window with the bar in front, people pass by and watch you all the time. This terrible condition make I feel like I am in a prison. The main door of the building was left unlocked, which is a huge security risk. This is completely unacceptable for guest safety. When I spoke to the staff, they dismissed me by saying I had requested a “classic room,” and you also booked the room today, I cannot give you other room. In stead of assisting, the staff started to defend and never listen. This response was unacceptable and showed a complete disregard for guest safety and comfort. I couldn't sleep all night because I felt unsafe. Best Western needs to review their safety and security protocols immediately. The current standards are way below what's expected of a 4-star hotel. Misleading guests about room categories and neglecting their safety is inexcusable. The hotel was nice. The wine was great. The location is awesome. THE STAFF IS THE BEST HOTEL STAFF I HAVE EVER SEEN. The women at the front desk went so far above and beyond that I was consistently impressed. I'd give them 10 stars if I could!!!!!

Located very close to the centre pf Orange, our x3 nighht stay at Hotel d'Orange was an excellent. Recently refurbished and renamed the Hotel d'Orange has great Provencale character and makes a very good base from which to explore this small but beautiful town and the surrounding area. Staff were very helpful too.

Very nice hotel with a modern decoration and cosy atmosphere. Well located in the center, close to the Roman amphitheater. The down side is the air-conditioning that was turn off when it was unusually hot for the season. The top Management did not inform the guests when the decision was taken early on based on dates in a calendar rather than on the temperatures and the forecast. The Top Management decided deliberately not to turn on it again despite several clients' complaints. Pity for a 4 star hotel!

Nice hotel in a good location. Staff helpful. Don't rely on getting secure parking. We had to park on the street - they said there are only 14 spaces. Our room was fine, however, it was a trek across the pool area and up two flights of windy stairs. Most rooms have lift access so worth checking when you book.

We enjoyed our breakfast outside under the lovely trees. The family room was large and comfortable. The theater is a few minutes walk through a lovely city. We enjoyed a concert and an opera while we were here. Lots of nice shops in the area.

Absolutely recommend this hotel. Everything was simply perfect from the warm welcome to the easy check-out. Every detail in the rooms was well thought-out and executed. The room was very large and well equipped, the amenities were plentiful and of the highest quality. Breakfast offered a wide variety for all dietary requirements. It was truly a wonderful place to stay.
