Best Western False River Hotel

I love this hotel, it was clean, good breakfast and the staff was very nice and they didn't mind answering any questions that I had . I'm a big coffee drinker and they had coffee all throughout the night lol.

We have stayed in this hotel 2 years ago and things were good. This time. The room was dirty, i don't they ever vacuum. The curtains had holes and stains. Sink drained very slowly, we told the front desk about it, i can't tell anything was ever done to finx it. The way the rooms were cleaned varied greatly day to day. It was a struggle to get towels. House keeping looked at me confused when I said you gave me 3 towels for 4 people. They tried to charge me for the room again after it had been paid for. I booked third party and they said i had to pay the difference in since third party had a cheaper price. The breakfast was not good, very few choices and they weren't hot.

From room cleanliness to functionality of the room. There was nothing to be thankful for during this stay. The fact that there were as many issues as there were tells me that someone at the top of the operation is not on the job, or doesn't understand what all needs to be managed.

We had issues with our hanidcap accessible room - Ashley Ard went above and beyond to solve our problems. Other membersof the day staff were very helpful too - Chris and Carolyn. We visit family often in the area and this our hotel of preference.

I travel for business and I have stayed at my share of hotels. However this on BW in particular was just perfect. Off the main road and very close to stores I actually go to. I couldn't have picked a better place to stay. I would have stayed here (5) nights but unfortunately other people know it's a great place to crash and they were booked! Good sign this BW is worth your every dollar. I'll be back next time I'm in town.

The first room we were in smelled like mold/mildew. Switched rooms & the second smelled also. Staff tried to help us but the situation was beyond their control because the problem is poor maintenance.

This area is close to everything in town. The staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and comfortable.the hotel has safe parking. It is within walking distance from shopping and fast food restaurants.

They double charged me for my room. I'm in the midst of my third attempt to get a refund. It started as an honest mistake, but two broken promises later, it's looking less innocent by the day. Regret my stay.

The hotel was very clean also the room. The workers were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was awesome and the hotel was very quiet. I can't wait for my next visit. I would recommend this hotel to all my family and friends

Elevator not working all day, had to carry luggage for weekend up stairs to 3rd floor. Two guest pre-checked in, yet only one set of towels, had to take stairs to get these. Internet was so slow, used cell phone hot spot. Breakfast was not replenished, had to ask for items and wait as if it was coming out the pockets of the workers funds.

Bedroom was not clean! Bed had black dirt on the comforter, on the pillows, on the sheets, moved the comforter to see more dirt on the sheets! Room smelt bad! NOT ENOUGH TOWELS in a room for occupancy!

Great hotel … fresh and clean … great location … great value … 5Star recommendation! The staff was great … the food was great! Our second stay at this hotel and we'll be back again and again ! Thanks to the management at this property, well done!

I booked 2 queens, got a king. It was my husband, 13yr old grandson, and myself. We all had to sleep in 1 bed. I called and they said they were all booked up, and I had booked a king. I pulled up my reservation and yes I had booked 2 queens. No hot water pressure. No internet, bc they stated the internet was down in the town. The place was clean. Very Very noisy. We were on the 2nd floor of a 3 story hotel. Request a top floor.

Was in a roach infested room for one night & we we're still charged. We went for a brief stay in Louisiana which was our first time there, & the overall experience left us with a bad impression. The only reason we didn't check one is due to the friendly staff and service!

Hotel is great. Just need a few minor adjustments to be excellent. We Enjoyed the complementary breakfast. Check-In was no Hassel. Service for a noisy non-working refrigerator was kind of swift. Just need a little more attention on Cleaning the rooms.

Desk clerk Barbara, has attitude. The hospitality industry is not her forte'. The management doesn't stand by his word(Steven) and the Mgr Christie rolls with the flow but shes professional. The floor near lobby rest room had approx a 16oz of water on the floor told staff he just looked came back next morning still there(water)

With all that is going on in the world, this property's employees are dedicated. I especially want to Thank Steve, he was polite and helpful from the time I checked in over the phone until the time I checked out!

I was not impressed it was very dirty. My first hotel room had pee all over the toilet seat and pube hairs. The next room has covid webs all over sealing. Internet was out so I missed a meeting and school for the evening. I was not Informed of the internet not working.

I am a Diamond member of another hotel chain but there was not one of their hotels in New Roads. I chose Best Western because they have become so modern, spacious and clean. OMG I was not disappointed! The bed was so comfortable, it was super quiet and clean, and the internet was fast, which is crucial to my job. I am re-evaluating which hotel I start using.

this hotel is centrally located in New Roads. It is close to everything, it has helpful, friendly ,knowledgeable staff. It is clean and has easy access to stores in the local area. they have a swimming pool , gym, internet.

Very clean and nice hotel. It's a newer hotel and they have done a great job of maintaining it. Staff was very friendly. Breakfast was great considering covid restraints. Would definitely recommend a stay at this hotel.

Absolutely NONE of the staff wore masks at any time. None of them enforced masks either. Breakfast was a bunch of maskless truckers in the common area while staff looked on happily. Saw only 1-2 people wearing masks the whole 2 weeks.

clean comfortable room. the a/c is kicking it. the breakfast was on time. the hotel was clean and in order. the rooms are comfortable. the parking is safe and well lit. easy aces sable to everything in town.

As we entered our assigned room for the first time, the beds were not made, there was trash and the room had obviously not been cleaned. Took pictures and went back to the front desk where we were met with skepticism about the extent of the uncleanliness until it was proved with pictures. Even if I was being overly dramatic in my cleanliness requirements, I should have immediately been offered a new room or for the cleaning crew to come up with out having to prove why it was needed. I should have also been offered some compensation for the poor service, which I was not.

I totally enjoyed my stay and I will definitely return to the Best Western whenever I return to New Roads. Hopefully there will be rooms available in the event inclement weather cause me to evacuate to New Roads.

Great and friendly staff. Good breakfast. Nice rooms. Fantastic maid service. Located across the road from a walmart and dollar store. Amazing place to stay. Have tons of stuff within walking distance.

Me and my husband stayed here a few weeks ago for a family funeral. My sister and brother in law also stayed here. We are from Houston, for such a small town we was really impressed with the hotel. The rooms were wonderful, very clean and smelled nice. The breakfast was better than expected. The reason I gave 4 out of 5 stars is because it took the older man almost 10 mintues to check us in, he had a very nasty attutude. My husband, my sister and I think it was a race issue. His facial expressions, body language, and attutude towards us was not welcoming. We did witness his encounter with a middled aged white male, its like his eyes lit up, he gave him excellent customer service compared to what we received, I fell we should have been treated the same way. We will be back the next time we visit family, i hope next time we have a better exoerince with the customer service.

My family and I stayed here for three nights. We were in Louisiana for a funeral. The lobby is clean. I saw a staff member cleaning the lobby every day that we were there. They are attentive and keep the hotel clean. This hotel offers free breakfast everyday. There are an assortment of food selections. The food is decent, not bad at all. They keep the breakfast area very clean. The staff are all friendly. I had a room with two double beds. The room was clean, beds comfortable. The room & bathroom were also spacious. The housekeeper was the best! She made sure we were taken care of. We were on the third floor. The only suggestion is that the hotel update the lighting in the room. The lighting is dim. Not bright at all. There is a Walmart across the street, but I would recommend you rent a car if you stay here. I live in a big city where we have A TON of Lyft/Uber options. Not in New Roads. If you're hungry, go to Hot Tails (about three minutes away). It will blow your mind! The best southern food I have ever tasted. Get a rental car, eat at Hot Tails, and thank me later. I would stay at this hotel again.

The rooms here were bigger then I expected especially the bathrooms. The rooms had microwaves, refrigerator and coffee makers in each room. The workers that we ran across were all very courteous. They even started the breakfast two hours early the day of the triathlon so all of us triathletes could eat.

Best hotel conveniently located in area. Close to st Francisville and Baton Rouge. Staff was very helpful and the lady in charge of breakfast was the best. I would definitely recommend staying here if in the area.

Manager and help where friendly...place is very clean... If in the area this is the place....Breakfast was very good hot...The lady that was keeping food filled up was so pleasant to be around....she was happy to assist you in any way...She even made my waffle for me and brought it to me...you will walk out there with a good attitude..

New Roads has long needed clean and well appointed lodging and BW fits that and then some. Clean, comfy and kind staff. Great job. Keep it up please and we will return any time we are in town. New Roads best lodging option for sure.

The hotel was very clean, large room and two queen beds. Anytime the hotel offers a full breakfast is great because you do not have to worry about driving around if you are not familiar with the area.

We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived at this hotel in a small town. It was very upscale and had all the immenities we wanted. Great welcoming staff. The room was clean and comfortable. The bed was wonderful. The hot breakfast was excellent with many choices. Check-in and checkout were a breeze. A great stay.

My family and I frequently visit different cities and states on a 12 month basis. This had to be the worse experience ever. Our hotel state rate was changed doing check. When it was brought to the attention of staff staff indicated that she the manager was not able to make any adjustments until the general manager return all of his vacation the end of the week. Wow, wait until the end of the week. Are you kidding me? Filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.

our trip was funn and the hotel made it even better. we will defiantly be staying here every time we come to see family. very small town but the condition of this hotel made it seem upscale. breakfst was amazing and the pool was perfect!!

Compared to the other accomodations in this eviron, youre best stay will be at this "Tallest Building in Pointe Coupee Parish", hotel. No bugs, good breakfast, ample parking, modern amenities, friendly staff, and centerally located.

Property was well kept and very clean. Staff was very friendly and service excellent! Rooms looked great and were very clean. Was able to get plenty of sleep as needed before our family adventure! Perfect stay! Thank you!

I've stay here a few times. The staff is cordial and always pleasant. The interior and exterior are keep clean. The rooms are decent size for a short stay; the beds are comfortable, and here is a microwave and mini refrigerator. The location is good, not a lot of traffic or activity. The hotel is right across the street from a Walmart. There is a grocery store and a few other stores nearby.

We loved our stay at the Best Western False River ! Absolutely nothing to complain about : staff was nice, check-in and check-out were quick and efficient, room was clean, bedding was comfortable and complimentary breakfast was sufficient

In town for business and stayed 4 nights. King bed. Good hotel Staff is friendly. In the room not the usual loud noises that I occur at other places I have stayed. Would stay here again when I return in about a month.

This hotel is the best hotel in the False River / New Roads area. It is centrally located, close to shopping ,dining, and other recreational activities. The staff is friendly helpful and knowledgeable about the area. The breakfast is hot and fresh.

My stay here was awesome!! The weather in turned cold during the day at work (since I am not in the room expect to sleep I don't need housekeeping everyday) came in with a bag with an extra blanket hanging on the door.

Average hotel. Very clean. Rooms are big. Breakfast is average. Very good location - near the missisipi river and near WallMart. Ideal for families. Staff is friendly. Facilities are good. However, there were two electric breaks for hours which took hours to fix

I have stayed at this hotel before without any problems. However, due to a lack of electricity, our night was hot, we had to shower in cold water and leave the facility to get breakfast. Understandably, things happen, but I would have expected some empathy and a better sense of caring for your customers who had a very uncomfortable stay.

This property opened in 2017. I stayed at this location last year and this year during the Harvest Festival weekend. On both occasions the hotel went without power. The first time I allowed the 10 % discount to suffice since there was a storm. This year the power was in and out. That is guests sitting in the dark and without air conditioning for hours. Once we awoke to get the day started the hot water did not work. I attempted to contact corporate to let them know that the phones in the hotel were inoperable and the front desk's phone is going straight to voicemail. The representative rudely stated that she is in Arizona and there is nothing she can do about it. The only thing she could try to do is attempt to call the property (even after I advised calling the property was not possible). I calmly explained to her that I have a young child and I need someone to contact regarding the matter. She explained that each property was individually owned. This helped. The next morning I was able to see that the property is owned and operated by Ishaan Hospitality, LLC and Perry Patel is the manager. The lady at the front desk advised the owner is offering a 10% discount. To pay $312 for two nights I believe this is unacceptable. No matter how clean the property is we should at least have basic needs i.e., hot water and electricity. This is unacceptable and my family and I will not be returning to this property. Absolutely ridiculous! To make matters worst, the front desk agent stated regular fees will be charged and a discount will be assessed in the future so now I have to watch my bank statement in hopes that the owner honors his "discount".

We rented two rooms. In my room, the TV didn't work and when I called the front desk, I got the feeling that I was an inconvenience to the front desk. On the second room, it was below a family that caused a tremendous amount of noise and when my friend contacted the front desk, to complain, the noise and stomping around the room got even worse like it was intentional. He complained again but the noise continued. Front desk person was wearing ear buds both times and my friend got the impression that she didn't care. Talked to the manager in the morning and was promised a return call which never happened. Phone also didn't work in second room. Pretty hotel, good breakfast but care of staff was very questionable. I will stay else where on next trip to Angola State Prison Rodeo.

We stayed for three days. All three days we had to go to the front desk after a long day and ask for clean towels. Garbage wasn't removed, beds were not made. In the public area in front of the third floor elevator was a spill. Someone put a caution sign over it and left it there for about 11 hours. No one seemed to be concerned when I brought these matters to their attention. It is a shame, because this Best Western is 6 months old and pretty. We do not recommend this hotel. We will not stay there again. Too much of a hassle getting basic hotel care met.

We stayed on a cross country bike trip. Huge rooms, immaculate brand new hotel, nice public areas and good breakfast. Best of the chain hotels on our two month trip. And they kindly stored our bikes while on a side trip to New Orleans

We visited New Roads for the La Tri. Hotel was super clean and staff was very friendly and welcoming. They even had a sign welcoming the participates. Will definitely stay here again. They are very accommodating for special events.

Best Western here had one of the best midgrade hotel breakfasts I've had. I had scrambled eggs, grits, donut, toast, juice, muffin, etc. They had scrambled eggs, hard boiled eggs, bacon, sausage, gravy, grits, oatmeal, various pastries & breads, plain & blueberry waffles, yogurts, fruits, cereals, juices, various coffees, etc. It was hot, fresh & delicious! The hotel is fairly new, built fall 2007. The rooms are super nice & spacious & clean (due to over capacity they were cleaning LATE last night - 7-8p, I believe). The hotel staff were all extremely friendly. I spoke with members on all shifts (mid-evening, late night, early mornings, day time plus maids, lady serving breakfast, etc). They were all extremely friendly & courteous (even some despite being extremely exhausted with all the extra guests this weekend). The grounds were all maintained nicely. My one & ONLY complaint/disappointment was the pool. The size is tiny & it was dirty. It didn't look maintained at all. Maybe it was because of all the chaos of extra guests & such — who knows but if the hotel was built in the fall & the pool isn't open from Oct to March, it means the pool has only been open about 6wks total. So maybe they don't have a routine for cleanliness going yet. It worked out because we ended up not having time to visit it, anyway. I was also disappointed with the lack of hot tub. Again, the pool space is SOOO TINY (you wonder why bother at all) but it would have been nice to have a small hot tub space. The laundry room on the 3rd floor was nice & reasonable to launder clothes ($3-4/load for wash & dry). They had detergent & dryer sheets in the lobby for sale. In the area for “vending sales” they had about everything you could want: late night snacks (very inexpensive compared to normal vending -$1 bag of chips, popcorn, cookies, candy, etc), medicines (Tylenol, allergy, even stomach upset meds), drinks, detergents, etc. it's all in a centrally located little alcove. All in all, this was a nice hotel & had a great military discount, which I definitely appreciated! I would DEFINITELY come back here to this hotel, if I was in the area & needed a place to stay!

I travel to the area on business a couple of times each year. Glad to see this BW in town and my first stay was good. I look forward to returning later this year. Hot breakfast was good and staff were friendly.

It was very clean, near shopping and dining. Definitely will return if we are in the area. The room was comfortable and well appointed and the breakfast was hot. The attendant was quick to fill items that were running out.

So, I book this hotel on a Sunday night for the next day for a business trip. I find out the following morning that my business trip is cancelled. So, at 9:30am I call to cancel and they charge me the first night's stay because they said you have to cancel before 1pm the day before. I didn't book the room until 7:30pm! How would I cancel before 1pm? Hop in my time machine? Terrible customer consideration. I had stayed here 3 previous trips also.

Nice spot for a weekend or weekday get away,peaceful,quiet and simple, try it and you will surely like it,I did.Community is rural,people are nice and reminded me of my neighbors,I am surely coming back.

Very nice, False River really needed a nice hotel. Beautiful lobby and dining area. Check In was quick, and clerk was very friendly. Rooms have mini fridges and microwaves, Spacious room, with nice size bathroom. Near Walmart, fast food options, and nice friendly bar called Daiquiri Diner, near the lake.

The hotel was above my expectations and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. I could not find anything to fault about my stay and would definitely recommend to everyone looking for a hotel in this area.

I made this great choice, to stay in New Roads, LA overnight instead of making a sleepy 4 hour drive back to Florida. We had attended a daytime graduation, and not anticipated how long the day would go on, when we arrived in town.

I live in this area, but decided I wanted to try out the new hotel in town. I was not disappointed. The hotel is beautiful and very clean. My room was lovely and very clean. The staff was very welcoming and friendly. Everyone from the front desk to the breakfast attendant to the housekeepers very friendly and professional. The breakfast was great! I will certainly recommend this hotel to everyone. I have family coming in for the holidays and they will stay here. New Roads has needed this for a long time.

We had a great stay as we were passing through town. Very clean and comfortable. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a place to stay in this remote location. There is good local cajun food and the people were very friendly. We would like to return during the summer and check out the lake.

We stayed at this Best Western for the first time this past weekend. It was new, clean, and modern. One thing that is a problem in older hotels is the lack out outlets for all our electronics. However this hotel has plenty of places to plug in phones, laptops, etc. We found that a previous guest had broken off 2 prongs from something he or she had plugged in. My husband reported it and was able to fix it himself by removing them. We were offered to move to another room but declined since the issue was resolved. One day, upon return to our room, we found the bathroom had not been cleaned. We reported it to the front desk and the staff offered us to move to a new room. We declined to move and give the housekeeping staff another chance. The remaining days the bathroom was cleaned appropriately. We will stay at this hotel again when we are in the area. We recommend staying here.

Great accommodations in a very nice town. The hotel staff was friendly and accommodating. Beds were comfy, breakfast had full spread and was great. Thanks a bunch New Roads BW! The Hotel is located very central to whatever brings you to New Roads.

We were in town for LA Jr. High School Rodeo performance in which grandson was participating. The hotel was conveniently located near the arena and was easily accessible. Staff was cordial and facility and amenities were great! Will definitely stay here when we are back in the area.

The hotel was brand new - had only been open a week or two. It was VERY nice and clean and the staff was extremely polite and helpful. We tried to get rooms in St. Francisville since we were coming into town for the prison rodeo, but the hotel there was booked. This was a perfect 2nd choice and I would consider staying here next year. I can't say enough about how friendly the staff was. Very, very helpful.

Used Q-tip in the room, used soap and shampoo in the shower, used coffee pod in the coffee maker. Lamps had not been moved and dusted under. The front desk clerks were polite and friendly. This is a brand new hotel. It's a shame that housekeeping is not doing their job properly.
