Resumen de la reserva
I had one of the best experiences here. They wer so helpful and nice when I had a lot of problems 100/10 definitely recommend. And the manager was so nice and handsome. I might start working up here just because my experience was so amazing. Breakfast. A pool. I love it here😍
Called to book a reservation after questions were answered regarding how far the hotel from the port of New Orleans was and can my customers do an early check in. Was on hold for 18 minutes finally Chris answered and asked if my customers where ready to book or just pricing I stated pricing and book, and he hung up the phone. Not very professional at all. Please re-train your staff on professionalism. Thank you!
If you are thinking of going to this location, DON'T. If I could rate it a zero I would. My room was changed at the last minute. No appliances as I was advised when booking. The worst was stain sheets, used towels in the bathroom from previous guest. No covers on the bed. All the lamps didn't work. Odor in the rooms. When requesting additional towels was advised there wasn't any. This place needs to be torn down and rebuilt. I've read about these types of experiences but this was my first time ever experiencing these things. I'm not sure if all Best Westerns are like this but don't waste your time and money on this location. I wish I could get my money back!!!
Desk clerk not welcoming nor concerned about men hanging out at entrance smoking pot. Trash everywhere. Pillows didn't have cases on them. The breakfast was substanfard. People hanging out i halks making noise. Shower not clean. Terrible experience! Keep look
This place is a complete dump. It should not be able to have the Best Western sign in front of it. The rooms stink of mold and mildew. It's a horrible stench. The bed sheets and bedding are all damp. They actually feel wet in every room. There was a brown stain on my sheet. I requested a new room and was charged more for the change. I went to 3 rooms and 2 had no sheets on the beds and black mold on parts of the box springs. This is one hotel that should be avoided at all cost. I left a day early and was charged for the hole stay to include an extra charge to change rooms from the one with a brown stain on the bed sheet.
The hotel provided no towels, they kept saying they were washing them... second day we got 3 towels for 2 rooms with a total of 6 people. Breakfast was not served the second day and nobody took care of that. The hall looked very dirty. There were used cigaretes around the swimming pool.
Booked 2 rooms. When I got to the first, the door wouldn't stay closed. The 2nd room wasn't cleaned and ready for new guest, bed was still unmade. The 3rd room had mold all over the ceiling. 3 tries up and down back to the front desk finally resulted in 2 rooms that were decent, that said there was a weird smell in both rooms. Definitely funcky smell in the hallways. One elevator was broken and 1 worked. The area next to the elevator in 3rd floor was still under construction. On the 4th floor several rooms we marked with coloring tape and were under repair. Needless to say, this hotel should be shutdown till it's completely remodeled and cleaned inside out, including the current staff.
This hotel is in need of a major renovation. Cigarettes and weed odors permeate throughout on second floor. Trash remaining on carpet foyer for several days. Breakfast foods not replaced. Microwave and Toaster were inoperable. Poor Management!! Lack of Quality and Cleanliness observed throughout hotel!!
The walls of the hallways are covered in black mold. Huge health risk. Couldn't even breathe when walking from the elevator to the room. The smell was unbearable. Do not stay here. This hotel should not be open until the entire hotel is completely renovated and cleared of black mold.
DO NOT STAY AT THIS BEST WESTERN!!! This is a 7 story motel, only 1 worker on duty, only 2 luggage Dollie's and 1 was broke! Towels were completely stained, looked like they had been cleaning floor with them, my wife and I would not use them. Towels had to be given to us by front desk, their policy. 5th floor hall was filthy, you could see the dirt in the carpet, trash on floor in hallway, it smelled bad!! Television did not work, asked to be repaired or changed, no one never came. No microwave as promised by manager, never came. No pillow cases on pillows, requested, pillow cases were brought for me to put on. Front desk worker and regional manager CR was ok, but others were very very rude!! Was told motel was under renovations, however no sign of renovations being done. I checked out after 2 hours, had to find another motel to spend 4 nites on our anniversary!! In New Orleans on July 4th week!!!! Requested full refund! Did not receive full refund until July 29th and we checked in and out on July 1, 2024. Unacceptable!!! I had to get Best Western customer relations involved to get full refund. I would call to check up on refund, motel staff would hang up on me, they even hung up on the customer relations people. DO NOT STAY HERE!! I must say, This is not normal for Best Western! I have stayed in many, and always found them clean, operable and staff friendly! One bad apple I guess!
The worst Best Western we ever stayed at. Room smelled strongly of smoke. no towels in bath, loose shower and bath fittings, filthy carpet in halls and room (including pistachio shells on floor), entire part of ceiling tile missing near elevator, with rust pipes exposed.
Make sure manager be professional because walking around hotel bare foot is very unprofessional especially when talking to guest. Make sure when guest check in the have clean towels. Patch up all the holes in the walls. Scrub and clean carpet it smells horrible and part of carpet has mildew on it.
We got to our room to check in. The room smelled terrible. The carpet was dirty. Paint peeling from the walls, mold, mildew. We told front desk. She gave us another room. The other room had a tarp covering the window. Blankets on the floor. Front desk was nonchalant and didn't care much. We immediately booked a different hotel.
We came with our young family. Upon arrival late we went to our room where the floor smelled like pot, music blaring from several rooms. Open the door to find other people are in our room. This was not okay, especially for our very young family! We were given a new room where there was a pile of dirty laundry outside of the door. There were no clean towels in the room at all. Overall we were very disappointed in our stay. Guest services were not really willing to help with much and told us to just go to the closet in the hall for extra supplies. We will not be staying at a best western again.
Walls moldy; carpet felt damp all of the time; TV in bedroom didn't work for one of the nights; hard to get someone to answer the phone; no clean towels - telling me they had to wash some;
It looks really good on the outside but as soon as you get out the place smelled like weed, but I was ok with that nothing I'm not used to, but then we had walked in, the lady at the counter was nice, we went to the room and there were dead roaches on the floor, we the decided after cleaning up to go get something to eat, down the road that's when everything got crazier. we stood by the elevator for like 10 min wafting until another gest told us it didn't work then we had to walk to the 6th floor, the wife wasn't Happy about that, the next morning was the same thig we had to walk down again were we sat at the dining area which was disgusting flies and everything at this point we just checked out I don't think we will ever be staying at a best western again. this was our first time by the way.
There is definitely a mold issue in this hotel that needs to be addressed and it appears they are trying but a lot needs to be removed and replaced when they can. Don't leave it!
When we first checked in, we were given a room. Was not told about anything the hotel offered (breakfast times, pool info) we were given the room key and that was it. She was more concerned with her personal phone call she was on. Went into the room and the room looked wasnt made up. There was no sheets on the bed. The pillows were tossed all over. The comforter was laying on the ground. The bathroom had used soap on the sink. The trash was filled with garbage, and the shower/tub itself was broken. The handle didn't even more and the tub itself had the plug taken apart and looked like it was clogged as you could see the water was right at the top of the drain. The toilet seat had fecal matter on it. We went to get clean sheets and new soap and such, and let them know about the room. The next day I'm guessing a manager gave us a refund for the first night, then another gave us a new room as there was no way we could stay in the previous room. Unfortunately with changing rooms it caused issues with our check out time for the next day, which still didn't change just because of switching rooms. They had us in their system as checking out that day when we still had another night. Maintenance came in to do work while we were still in the room. I had to call customer support because even though on my end on my best western app it *showed* I was still booked to stay another night, but on their end apparently it was saying we were to be checked out that day. So we had to wait around to do anything that whole time until they got it fixed on their end. That following late afternoon after being "fixed" they still had people come into the room from house keeping as if we were to check out. Went on about our evening and came back early to be able to go swimming and enjoy the pool, when asking for pool towels as we told them we wanted to go swimming she walked us out to the pool hours before pool closing time, and then said the pool was closed as she handed us towels. The lady who refunded us for the first night helped a lot. There were some helpful staff, but unfortunately the bad parts of it outweighed the good. The room we finally got into that was made up was nice, and it was comfortable, but there were way too many obstacles and little things that kept occurring that made this trip more hectic than it should be, and could've been prevented if the staff communicated amongst each other once certain issues were resolved.
Filled with mold, ac didn't work, I have never seen a more un clean hotel in my life, bugs. Dog poop in the hallway. I have photos.
This was the worst hotel stay that I have ever had there was no hot breakfast one and the pool was closed the first day and when it was time to check out nobody was at the front desk because you had employees arguing with each other.... Just horrible.
No breakfast first morning. Pool day closed and is dirty but saw some kids there late at night. Only 2 sets of towels the whole trip and there were 3 people in the room. Staff was unpleasant and fighting when I was checking out.
Our stay at the Best Western New Orleans on April 5, 2024, was incredibly disappointing. Upon check-in, we were given a key to a room on the 5th floor, which seemed to be occupied by a staff member. With the elevator broken, we had to walk back downstairs and were assigned another room on the same floor. The entire floor smelled strongly of cigarettes and marijuana, likely due to the number of staff members staying there. We requested a different floor but were told the hotel was sold out. The odor was so bad that I had to sleep in my car. The next day, the manager accused us of smoking in the room, which was completely false. I had to call corporate, but they said it was out of their hands because the hotel provided them with misleading information. The manager then demanded that I leave while my guests could stay, and the hotel charged my card a smoke fee. Below are photos of the four staff members involved (including the manager, a bigger lady). Avoid this hotel at all costs!
The hotel was very clean and the staff was nice. Don't expect frills! No lights in parking lot and pool water was green!
I don't even know where to begin with this place. We booked based on the photos and it looked nothing like it when we arrived. The entire place smells like old, wet towels. There was four of us and we kept having to ask for towels. The toilet clogged and it took four times to ask for Maintenance to come up to the room. Then when we did decide to go to the pool at 9am they threw chemicals in the pool to clean it and told us we could not use it for the next two hours. The worst part was the night before my flight back I had to do laundry. They have a washer and dryer at the location but for some reason the dryer stopped working. The clerk stood with my $ for the dryer and basically said there's nothing she can do. I had to take my clothing wet. The only good thing there was Tara and her other coworker in the morning. They were very nice and recommended places to eat that were great. Everything else sucked!
Never again! I refuse to ever stay here! Please ownership visit your asset before they close it down. It is a tragedy of an operation. I have pictures to back up my claims. Never again! Not this location!
The place wasn't terrible but for the condition of the hotel and lack of available simple amenities like a snack bar in lobby or bottled water or drink machine, I would say not worth what we paid for it. Also our stay was a last minute reservation so it should have been cheaper because if we hadn't stayed, the room would have been vacant for at least the 1st night. We literally reserved it the night we got there around midnight and arrived a few minutes later. The rooms don't have comforters in them, only sheets, no microwaves, the only one is in the breakfast area, they only had oj, no apple juice at breakfast, the hallways were very musty, and the water didn't even get hot. A price closer to $80-100 would have been more reasonable to us but we paid over $130 per night. Also when we first got there we originally had the room only for one night and asked the guy at the desk if he would check to see if they had any availability for the next 2 nights and without even looking he said they didn't. I went up to our room and immediately reserved THE SAME KIND of room for the next 2 nights online. We are an interracial couple and got the impression that man just didn't like the looks of us and therefore didn't even attempt to accommodate our simple request. The rest of the staff was very nice! We stayed from April 25th-28th (2024).
Would not recommend to anyone 0/10 worst experience ever the front desk manager he is horrible and a thief
It's simply a DUMP in need of serious attention. Dirty carpeting in halls, ceiling tiles hanging or missing, walls torn apart. Filthy breakfast area. Very noisy with people yelling in hallway. Name should be. Worst Best Western I suggest you go to a different motel, ANY motel other than this place.
Couldn't get the name of the woman at the front desk but to describe her. She was black wearing something around her hair and was working the night shift on March 19, 2024. She was extremely rude with an attitude. But when another black person walks in, she was nice and no attitude. Also when we checked on online, it said a room was ready for $67, but when we got there she was trying to charge us for $120. What a way to welcome new white people in New Orleans, Louisiana. I instead went to the Inn down the road that had better service, cheaper, nicer people.
Our my room looked like it looks like it properly!! There was dust on the napkins dispenser and there were only 3 napkins!! Also the window was dirtier than ever couldn't see clearly at all!! Also the elevator literally takes hours to get in because of how long it takes to arrive!!
I love everything about the hotel room and the staff very satisfied job well done will be back soon and I will tell a friend and other family members about my great stay at y'all hotel in New Orleans Louisiana on the service road
No towels were provided , pipes burts over night which lead to flooding , water leaking through walls , moldy smells of moisture in room . Room service never came to provide towels or clean our room at all during 2day stay . Management never address the issue or try to accommodate us once we notified them .! I was told There was no towel staff available to wash towels in building . They told us it would be hours until we receive towels and we never did .
Place was okay price was fine especially compared to spending almost $900 more dollars downtown. I wouldn't stay again but I think it could be cleaner. Mild around the window and the ceiling falling apart in multiple locations. Looked as if it was something that happened a long time ago and was never fixed. It's like putting a bandage on pouring water.
Let me start by saying that when a person travels they want their accommodations to be without complication. This was by far the worse hotel I have stayed in. The good: Ms. Sandra ( the breakfast attendant) and the young man(he was indian I believe) gave exceptional customer services despite the conditions. The bad: The first room they gave me still had bathwater in it. the hallway smelled like "wet weed wussy" It was horrible. The whole hotel feels like I stepped into a time chamber and traveled back to the 70's. The hotel is in serious need of renovations, If I could give this hotel a negative rating I would it was that bad folks. The ugly: The manager decided to change the food policy about taking food to your room. First of all, your food sucks, you should have been begging people ro take food to their roms. The banas were almost spoiled, the eggs were dried, you only had one flavor of grits and oatmill and the sausage was tasteless. The manager then proceeded to argue with a Spanish lady about his non-posted impromptu policy. I was deciding if I was going stay anymore nights but after this serious lack of professionalism I decided to get the rest of my money back. I moved to the Holiday Inn Express 1 mile up the road and itis absolutely fantastic. I should have read the reviews on this place. Summary: This hotel was horrible and I would say don't wasteyur time or money until this hotel seriously upgrades.
Don't let the price deceive you. The staff and service at this location is top tier. Michael and his staff were so friendly and welcoming from the moment we set foot in the door. We were treated like family the entire time! The facility was near and clean. We were very comfortable during our stay.
I booked and payed $182.84 through the best western site. In addition, the hotel took an extra $100 for the security deposit. However, I was also charged an additional $91.42 that should not have been taken out of my account due to the way the receptionist input/authorized the charges. The only amount that should have been taken from my card was $282.42, which would have covered the reservation amount, as well as, the $100 deposit. I spoke with the general manager and the other manager (Mike) about my situation, and they were able to see the problem. The general manager reversed the $91.42 I was charged; however, the money still has not showed up in my bank account. Due to this I am still waiting on a $191.42 reimbursement from the hotel, which covers the $91.42 I was charged, as well as, the $100 deposit I was charged. Due to these circumstances, I will not book at any best western hotel in the future, and I was very unsatisfied that these issues occurred during my stay.
I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone. We stayed here for 4 days and had to switch rooms 4 times. We drive 15 hours from Michigan when we got to the hotel. The first room was not cleaned, there was hair in the shower, clothes in the dressers, and drugs and nicotine in the closet. The next room had scorching hot water so we could not shower, and the TV did not work. The next room the TV did not work and the drain in the shower drained very slow. We were told twice someone would be out to fix our TV, so we went in town for the day. When we got back it still was not fixed so their solution the next morning was to simply put us in ANOTHER ROOM. All this bouncing back and forth between rooms literally ruined our whole experience at New Orleans. The workers say that this hotel is trash, I guess they are under new management. It has a certain odor to the place; it does not smell fresh. The keep their towels and sheets in this old, dark room that does not look sanitary at all. This hotel needs to be closed down.
Can't really say anything bad about this hotel stay, and also can't rave about it either. Pretty standard stuff all around. Check in was easy enough, room was comfortable enough. All in all if you need a place to stay with no frills, this will do the job.
Not a bad hotel. The parking lot and surrounding road could use some repair. The room rate for this hotel was reasonable and it's location isn't far from downtown, the Superdome or the French Quarter. The room was nice, bed was comfortable. Amenities in the room were generous and the wi-fi was outstanding. The front desk clerk was really nice. She made sure we had water because it was so hot and humid. We didn't get the chance to check out the free breakfast because we didn't wake up in time. I would recommend the hotel to family and friends.
Mixed bag. Room was clean and nice but spots in the carpet had been worn though, shower only had hot water and many of the local TV channels did not work so getting news was hard. Breakfast was good at start but it is a first come first serve and if you get there later it is not worth it, person manning it appeared more interested in her hair and makeup than making sure it was stalked. Rest of the staff was supper helpful and friendly including security. Front desk staff were willing to make recommendations and be helpful. Dead bug on floor in the hall for several days saw the room service walk right by it and was more than a little surprised by that.
staff was very friendly and helpful. Rooms was very clean Security guard was a sweetheart went to smoke an early morning cigarette and he stood outside with me didn't want me to be alone..Th breakfast cook a lady was very friendly chatted with us we were early to breakfast but she took great care of us and got us taken care of
Let's begin with positives: The front desk receptionist, Chianti, was sweet and accommodating. We enjoyed our interactions with her. The beds were incredibly comfortable. And it ends there. We had cleaning staff knocking at our door 2x after check-in asking if we were staying the night, the first time, then at about 8:30 the next morning with the same question. Breakfast was dismal- no cream for coffee, pancake machine not working, and the small carton of milk my daughter poured on her cereal had turned. No vending machines and “a group of teenaged boys came through” and cleaned out the small concession. In pulling back the room curtains, I found about 5 dead bugs, and the corners of the room held old dust balls, and hair. I reported these and the front desk clerk there that morning seemed completely underwhelmed. We went out for the day and upon our rerun at 8:30pm, found that not only had anyone taken care of the bugs/dirt but no one had made up our room at all, including picking up breakfast dishes etc. We reported the issue and Chianti offered to move us to a different room, but that would've meant a lot more work for US, and we had an 18hr drive the next morning. The next day, I was refunded $50 for the room issue, which was nice, but now 12 days later, have not gotten back the “incidentals” fee of $50 we were charged at check in. I called the hotel, today, march 28th and was asked to call back when the manager came in at 7:30 am . I called at 7:45, and the desk clerk was at first pleasant, but wasn't helpful, just kept repeating their “authorizations” showed a balance of zero. I finally asked for a manager and was told said person was in training ( contest to information I'd been given 40 minutes before). I added to speak to Chianti and was told she was “working breakfast”. Then, she began to treat me as if was a child, or addled, suggesting the US does things differently from Canada, and basically to just suck it up. I terminated the call.
This had to be the worst hotel I've ever stayed at. I had to change rooms 3 times due to the cleanliness of the rooms. All of the bedding's had blood and semen stains on them and the chairs. Blood stains on the floors and the staff was not attentive at all. Even in the 3rd room that I received it wasn't as clean and there was no hot water. This property should be shut down until it is brought up to par. The health department should be made aware of this property immediately. There is no thought or care for this property by the owners at all. It basically put a complete damper on my whole trip and I will never stay there ever again. I was also supposed to receive a full refund but I only received half of my money back. Someone really needs to fix this place up and then on top of that someone's car was stolen on this property and they have security. Smh! This was just an awful place to be at. I didn't even attempt to try the breakfast due to the rooms not even being clean. And yes I do have plenty of photos of this.
I stayed at this property on Nov 25-26, 2022. Property is located right off I-10 about 5 miles from downtown New Orleans. I stayed in room 621 which was pretty up to date and neat with micro/fridge combo. I found it strange that there was a coffee machine, but no coffee or tea. I didn't go down for breakfast. Hotel has plenty of parking space. Special shout out to Malcom, very polite and helpful gentleman. I would stay here again.
I read online that this hotel has gone through a renovation in recent years. If that is a renovation then I hate to think what it looked like before. It smells old right off the bat. The bed linens and towels were stained. There was used shampoo and soap in the shower which leads me to believe it wasn't cleaned. The beds were not comfortable. The room was always muggy. The fridge wasn't cooling which made me lose food due to spoilage. There were water stains under the rim of the sink. The continental breakfast was very mediocre. They have a pancake maker and that was the only thing we ate. I did encounter a very nice staff member. He may have even been the owner. But I would never stay here again.
We weren't in the hotel much but when we were we enjoyed our time. Beds were comfy, ac worked amazing. The shower did however make a really loud noise when using it, not sure what that was. If you are coming to New Orleans and planning on some ding a lot of time in French quarter it's probably cheaper to spend the extra money on a room and be in the city then stay here and Uber back and forth! It's right off the highway though so that's good. Friendly staff. The hallways/carpets need shampooed bad though had lots of stains.
We needed a place close to going on a cemetery tour, so this place was good for us. Hotel was easy to get to, had plenty of parking and room was comfortable. Breakfast was a little limited for such a BW reputation but did get us something to start the day. Staff was ok but not up to our Normal BW style we expect. The guy that runs the breakfast was fantastic and helpful.
I came to New Orleans for the first time to celebrate my birthday and we didn't know that the east part of New Orleans is very dangerous and highly recommended to avoid because of the crimes (murder/ car jacking). Would avoid this area at all cost if I was to ever come back to this city. We also encountered a rude staff from this hotel with not so great customer service at the front desk. Also had to wait for two hours to check in because the machine was broken and there is only one machine to check people in.
Would not accept Best Western gift certificate, said that it was already included. Black owned and run, so if your not "black" watch-out. Needs to be bought out by Best Western. or taken off their list of hotels
The pool is closed, bar is closed, no business center, no snacks/drinks for sale in lobby, no continental breakfast. Tarps covered sections of wet mold hallway outside elevator. Smelled of mold. We checked out early. Tv, microwave and phone wasn't plugged in and didn't have an outlet for them.
Noisy because of traffic and single pane window. Heard everything next door as duck work not isolated. Unable to have a shower as we could not get warm water, only hot water which we never experienced this anywhere before. We had a coffee machine with no coffee pods in the room. Finally the breakfast supplied was only in a box to go which was not indicated anywhere. Disappointing overall. Not worth the money.
The bed was the only good thing about this hotel. The breakfast buffet which was $10.99 was cold and no taste The front staff was to involved in friends, phone conversation and even eating at the desk to assist us with our questions. One and done!
Guest were noisy and you can hear everything while in your room. Staff was pleasant. Rooms are decent. Stayed in two different rooms. First room was cool. Second room wasn't cleaned too well. Good for what I needed it for.
After having 2 of my windows blown out of of my vehicle that was parked right in front of the hotel, under the lights and visible to all "fake" cameras on the front of the hotel, I'd suggest going elsewhere. This hotel, and that's using that specific word loosely, needs to be shutdown. The bedding was dirty, the carpets are stained, the rooms smell like cigarette smoke, and the bathrooms are full of mold. We weren't the only vehicle broken into, there were a few others. Police were supposedly called at 6am. We left the hotel at 12:30 to continue our travel, only to be called by the hotel at 4:30 asking if we'd checked out of the hotel. Apparently the police had decided to show up to take our statements. We were in Texas. We were not going to wait around for 10 hours for the police to arrive. Please keep in mind, they're only a few block away. Also, the glass establishment the hotel directed us too, the only auto glass establishment that had our windows in stock, was 4 blocks away. Coincidence? Perhaps, just seemed odd that when a corporate employee of the hotel came to have his glass repaired, the lady behind the desk stated they should have known better than to be parked there. That alone speaks volumes.
Loud, noisy, people cursing in the lobby, a wet musty smell. It was 5 o" clock and I could not check in because the room was not ready. The people at the desk looked unhurried although there were many guest checking in. No apology just wait. Nothing around this place except closed down stores. Room was dank and musty. I couldn't wait to leave the next day!
The customer service is SUPERB!! The front desk was excellent in checking us in, the housekeeping was timely and made sure we had everything clean. Travis is the assistant GM & he is AMAZING!! He took care of my friends & I! Very down to earth! I highly recommend, five stars!!! Oh, join the wave on Instagram @waveprovided
