Resumen de la reserva
This place is amazing. Everything was nice and clean. The staff was very friendly. The Breakfast variety was also Great.
We got a room assigned in base floor. When entering the room we could smell odor and there where hair on the floor and bathroom everywhere. In front of the chair have been even clipped toe and fingernails. This room was definitively not cleaned after the last guest. The second room we got was smelly too and not much cleaner. Allover, it was disgusting.
The sign on the desk said they would add a charge for incidental, but we was not expecting the $1000 hold they added for incidentals. It's hard to believe they had $1000 to everyone that stays there
We stayed here on the way to Dallas for Christmas with our family. The check in went very well. The person at the desk was a professional and very friendly. The macadamia nut cookies were a pleasant surprise. The room was clean, spacious and comfortable. The bed was especially comfortable. If anybody cares there is a Whataburger within walking distance. We used it.
Maids stole from my room while i was at Mass with the Do Not Disturb sign on door. Front desk was rude regarding a refund request. Passed the buck to the Mgr then gave me a fake phone # for the MGR. Hung up on when I called the front desk regarding the fake # given.
I have stayed at this Best Western many times and this is the first time I have ever experienced these issues. Breakfast was cold, internet did not work and had to buy data from my cellular provider. And lastly all the black people were on one side of the hot and the white people on the other side. And that includes upstairs as well. I almost forgot the side door entrance never worked with the keys they gave. Had to call other family members in my room to come open the door.
Good place to stay bery silent no traffic no noise Good working people bery Good attention clean Good service I will invite people to enjoy this place if some people don't know about this place they need to know.
We got a good night's rest. The staff were all friendly. The motel is convenient to the freeway and to restaurants. The breakfast was better than most motels. The room was very clean. It is a basic mid priced motel. A good place to overnight.
I checked the Internet price the day of arrival since I had booked the room on line several weeks before. They refused to honor the lower price ($13 Cheaper). Then they assigned us a moldy room, but they assigned a non moldy room. Thy listed “continental breakfast, so we're pleasantly surprised by a full breakfast. The pool was small, far across the parking lot and fully exposed to the searing sun.
The woman who checked us in was great. I misplaced my key card from the front desk to the car and she was so gracious and kind about replacing it. The room was clean and fresh smelling. The breakfast was hot and enjoyable.
We usually stop here to stay when we travel from MS to Oklahoma. Great experience every time and we enjoy stopping to stay. Breakfast selections are wonderful and they had to go containers for you to take it back to your room. Will continue to make this an annual stop.
This hotel was by far the best pet friendly group I've encountered and very friendly. As a fellow southerner it makes me proud to see our southern friendly values expressed so well, bless y'all's hearts
I tell you what I have stayed at many hotels in my travel. Some were great and some well I would not even rank. This BEST WESTERN is unbelievable. The friendliness, Pet Friendly. The cleanliness, the size of the rooms you just did not need anything. You cannot go wrong staying here. We will be back.
Convenient location to downtown Natchitoches. Friendly staff and friendly town. Breakfast is very good and beds very comfortable. Good water pressure for showers. Also contains laundry facilities which is good for long stays.
We were plesently surprised to have found a BW. Our initial search did not show a BW in the area. It was conveniently located and very close to several options to eat at. The room was very clean and tastefully decorated. It was large and spacious. The staff was very friendly and happy to accomidate.
Was very pleased with the cleanliness of the room and hotel. The staff was very attentive to all of our needs and welcomed any questions or concerns that we had. We were on a trip with our teenage granddaughter's and were very pleased with the hotel and the prices. We would stay again.
We were put in a smoking room; I didn't know these even existed in this day and age. Our tv did not work. It was on when we entered the room. We had to unplug it the first night to turn it off. It would not turn back on for day 2. I was charged $150 for incident when I normally don't pay more than $70.
This is an older property that is very well maintained. The staff is friendly and helpful. Even called the room about 15 minutes after check-in to make sure everything was in order. The room was very clean. I was comfortable walking barefoot on the carpet AND in the bathroom! Comfortable bed. Keurig coffee maker in the room. Has the old-fashioned A/C on the wall under the window, but it worked well and was not noisy. We were in an executive king room so it was a bit larger, with a small sleeper sofa. There was a large HD TV mounted on the wall so that it faced the bed directly. Could not turn it to watch comfortably from the sofa. If one thing would improve this room, it would be the TV sitting on the chest with a swivel base. But we managed and if we are traveling through again, we will definitely stay at this hotel.
Very well-kept property, with extremely nice employees. They make sure you are happy and comfortable. The rooms are always very clean, and you hear very little outside noice, if any. They always welcome pets too!
The hotel is located right off of I-49 and just a short distance from downtown Natchitoches. Downtown gets a little crowded on weekends, so it's nice to get away to recharge. And breakfast is delicious!
I've been staying at this hotel every month since early January and have have have great service ever time. Rooms are always clean, bathrooms have good showers and conveniently sized. Great location for work and for into the main areas of town.
Room was great for the night and was able to get a good nights rest for the remainder of our trip the next day. Room was clean and quiet for the entire night. Breakfast was good and better than most places we have stayed at recently.
We arrived just after midnight and departed around 9am. The hotel was exactly what we needed. Yes, this is an older hotel that could use some updating. But everything was clean and well maintained. The flat screen TV and the Wifi worked great, the staff were extremely friendly, and the breakfast (sausage & gravy, cereal, toast, waffles) was better than similar priced hotels.
Always liked staying at the hotel. Clean rooms, friendly staff, good breakfast great location. Lots of places to eat, shop, and get gas very close. When traveling to visit family we always try to put this hotel into our travel plans.
This was one of the best pet friendly hotels we have experienced in over a decade of travelling with a large dog. The staff was friendly. The rooms were clean. The decor was pleasant. The hot breakfast was excellent!
Clean to the extreme with a super friendly staff, everyone is engaged here. Awesome breakfast. Not only do they have but they serve different flavors. For breakfast meats, eggs, biscuits and gravy. Dog friendly!!! Despite being in a dog friendly room… no hair And no smell. Having two Non-shedding 5 pound dogs so that is super important to me. Again I must emphasize that this hotel is spotless, everything appears new, very nice breakfast room with TV and anything you could wish for breakfast. They go the extra step and leave very nice toiletries as well. Hi stayed two nights
Great experience. Clean Friendly Knowledgeable staff Highly recommend Breakfast was great Complimentary Cookies a great treat. The house pet was the sweetest thing. Her name was Daisy. Very clean and comfy bed
Why check in couldn't have gone much worse. After a long day of traveling, it took 4 trips to the clerk before she determined the battery in the door was dead and that is why my key card didn't work. So another room for me which was to be at a reduced rate...didn't happen. Well get another room and there are not light bulbs in any of the lamps. The poor clerk, who is by herself, gets the bulbs from room under renovation after about 30 minutes. Upon check out, I discover I have two different room rates which was not apparent when I booked online. No sure I will stay at the Best Western again, for the price there are better options in Natchitoches.
Hotel was in excellent condition. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast area was very clean and well organized. The owner of the businesses was nice and easy to talk with. I recommend that people use the Best Western in Natchitoches, La.
The check-in lady was nice, courteous and efficient. Unfortunately just after unpacking, the toilet started to leak. We called front desk and the clerk came up immediately and attempted to stem the flow, but to no avail. (This was not a clogged toilet). The clerk assigned us another room, and offered to help us move all of our baggage, which was a fair amount. One complaint I have is that the motel is very hard to find. A sign positioned at the driveway would be very helpful.
The Best Western in Natchitoches is a very fine hotel. The staff was very friendly as they gave us great information on things to see and places to eat. Also, the room was clean and spacious. They served a decent breakfast, although I did not care for the eggs with the cheese. Also, they have a very friendly, house dog. Our one night stay here was quite enjoyable.
3 stars for now, but I'm pretty sure I will give more if my travels bring me back. Right now my rating is due to the condition of inside. It needs remodeling. And from what I understand that's exactly what is currently happening. The outside has been done and currently the second floor is being renovated. So once all that is complete I'm sure this will be a very nice hotel again. Staff was very nice and friendly.
The pool is in the middle of the parking lot where everyone walking around the 4 motels surrounding the best western can see you and your kids. Roads are bad around area when I stayed in July 2021 under construction.
Rooms promised not honored upon arrival. Asked for adjoining rooms near pool and clerk said they were available so these were the room I booked. Upon arrival, the desk clerk initially did not honor my initial request but finally gave in. Then the magnet in the door lock went out and she said she didn't know how to fix it. Before she discovered it was the lock that was broken, she kept insinuating that I was doing something wrong and was very rude about it. Then, at 8 am, there was no hot water. Worst experience ever.
Shirley who checked me was very strange. I had at least 4 major complaints..phone didn't work initially, towels weren't changed out, sheets not changed, toilet paper not replaced, commode overflowed, etc. She was rude and forced me to check out. I was not abusive at all with my complaints
Checked into Best Western in Natchitoches, La and the front desk clerk was nice and friendly got into the room put the air on looked down in the AC unit vents and the vents were covered with Rat Feces I went reported it to the front desk clerk and she came and look at it and said maybe it was rocks and she would have the house keeper come and look at it no one never came back no one moved us to another room. It was so much rat feces just piles of it (horrible experience)
Was in town for a conference and stayed at the Best Western here in Natchitoches, LA. Easy to locate off of 49. Direct and easy drive to downtown for excellent food and shopping along the riverfront. Drove past the Steel Magnolias house several times during our stay. Easy to get back to the hotel for a comfortable stay in a clean room.
Check-in was quick and efficient. I called ahead of time to ensure late check in would be possible. The food could be better but its free so you really can not complain about it. A heads up about the dog that wonders in and out should be given to customers just in case you have someone that is afraid of dogs. Clean the air conditioner vents otherwise a good stay.
The entire hotel smelled like an ash tray. Although I asked for a non-smoking room I was given a smoking room. The room was dirty. My daughter and I both have asthma. When I booked 2 weeks in advance it clearly stated it was a non-smoking room. The front desk didnt even inform me that I was being put in a smoking room.
Great property right off interstate I-49 easy access roads. Room was very clean and amenities were all in place. Price for room was great deal and other discounts except as well. Want to thank Shirley for her professionalism and knowledge while I was checking in .
This hotel is dirty. It desperately needs updating but it could still be clean and not dirty. No COVID 19 precautions. Do yourself a favor and pick any of the other numerous hotels in immediate vicinity.
We got a King executive room. It was very clean, everything worked like it should have - the TV, shower, tub, toilet, locks, refrigerator - just a basic but good room. The front desk was very helpful upon checking in and out. I will definitely stay here again and I highly recommend staying here. Also, food is in walking distance.
The staff was very helpful and attentive to our needs. Enjoyed being at a hotel where the breakfast was hot and not in bags. The price for the room was not bad and I was able to get towels when needed.
We were in Natchitoches for the Christmas Celebration. We decided to stay out away from the crowds and couldn't be happier with the choice we made. Our room was clean and fresh, In fact the hotel was very inviting and the staff was top notch. We will definitely stay there next year as well.
This was the dirtiest hotel room I've experienced in years. Room 103 had carpet baseboards peeling from walls, exposing what appeared to be black mold beneath. Lights and plugs didn't work. Carpet in corners and edges so thick with dust the carpet pattern was hard to see. Bedding was suprisingly clean and the only reason we could stay.
Possibly a nice place but did not stay because of the strong smoking smell even in the non smoking room. If you are not able to handle a thick smoking smell, this is not the place for you. Staff was nice and provided a refund.
I'm writing this review from a room at this hotel. It's bad. Probably the worst hotel I've ever stayed at. Looks nothing like the pics on the website. The people who gave 5 or 4 stars must be relatives and workers or have really stayed at some dumps in the past. First the hotel smells an old mildew smell. Through out the hotel the paint is chipped and cracked. On the outside of the building the stucco is cracked off of an area about 10x20 feet wide. The linens look dirty and our blanket has a hole in it. Both lamps in the room are cracked. There is food on the chair and the curtain. None of us are taking a shower here. The bathroom has visible dirt on the walls and door and the shower head is full of mildew. The mirror is rusted. We came here to see the Christmas lights and this is the only bad part of our trip. I would not suggest anyone stay here. I felt that considering the current pandemic, the obvious lack of care or cleaning here could potentially jeopardize someone's health. On a positive note the staff was friendly and the ac was cold.
We were there for a XC state meet. When we arrived, a large group of people waiting outside for their rooms....this was a bad sign. They said they had been waiting for their rooms for a couple of hours. We stood in line, where we were greeted by a kind lady behind the desk. But we were surrounded by angry people who were frustrated their rooms were not ready as promised. One complained they were put in a smoking room when they requested non smoking. Once we got checked in, we were told it would be about an hour. So we just went to an early dinner. Upon returning to our room, as soon as we opened the door, a FOUL PEE LIKE SMELL HIT US LIKE A TON OF BRICKS!!! Our bathroom also reeked of mildew. There was hair in our bathtub as well as matted hair behind the toilet. Part of the cap covering the screw on the toilet was missing. This place was disgusting. Our air conditioner made a tapping sound all night long. We all slept terrible. We stayed in Room 107 if management is reading this and would like to take action. Our story was echoed by other parents staying at the same hotel. I would never recommend staying here....you couldn't pay me to go back.
First the good: the staff is usually pleasant. This hotel accepts pets and they serve a hot breakfast. King Rooms are pretty spacious and it's located rt by the highway. The lobby is always clean as well. Cons: The beds and linen are extremely old and worn, even dirty looking. The carpet is old and smells. The water pressure in the shower sucks. This could be a really good hotel if it is updated. No one wants to pay $100+ for a hotel that looks like an hourly motel inside the rooms. It just looks and feels unclean in the rooms. Sheets should not be dingy and gray looking and towels should not be so worn that they barely dry you off.
Great hotel! With amazing customer service ... I feel the property is so much better in person vs the pictures online. Best western are much more personable and they offer some great perks and prices that are so great for the amenities/decor/comfort/ customer service / and the list goes on
This is such a pleasant place to stay....the rooms are clean, comfortable, quiet and have ample room to work. Water pressure and temperature was great for showering and even a very tall person would fit easily under the showerhead :-) The bed was very comfy - easy to get a good night's sleep :-) Every staff member I interacted with was friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful. Full breakfast - on a Thursday morning, there was ham, sausage, eggs (that actually tasted like eggs, not a rehydrated egg product), gravy, biscuits, cereal, pastries, yogurt, waffles....more than enough choices. The dining area was clean and well presented. I look forward to my next stay there.
We booked based on reviews. Nothing horrible. It was clean. Linens were cheap. Bed was not comfortable. Pillows were very uncomfortable. Typical motel breakfast. Expected a little better. Husband said bed uncomfortable because of cheap linens.
Everything about the hotel was great but I like to eat real food the eggs great the sausage??? I prefer bacon because I know what's in it no added sugar stuff like that ,the room was perfect the bed perfect shower perfect lots of hot water with good pressure
Nice hotel with easy access right off the highway. We were literally just driving through, got to hotel close to 10pm and left the next morning early so no opportunity to really check out amenities. It is clean, bed was comfortable, front desk staff was helpful and nice. Full hot breakfast with omelettes, bacon, waffles.
Cannot stress enough how accommodating these people are. Brianna, Allison and Isaac each worked tirelessly getting us in the right rooms and shuttle service and answering anything we needed. Rooms were good and very clean and breakfast was great. Even the breakfast person was above friendly and helpful. Thanks and we will definitely be back!
Please see the attached photos prior deciding if you want to stay at this hotel - they speak for themselves. None of these photos are advertised on their website. Heavy mold on shower curtain - filthy What looks to be fecal stains on the sheets Poor cleaning, upkeep and maintaining of room Towels that are thin and ragged A rescue dog that comes and goes as it pleases (no idea whether the dog has heartworms, fleas, ticks, etc., but I assure you every place that dog sits, which I observed to be evweywhwehas some amount of fecal bacteria. I was limited to 10 photos in the post. Much better places for $137/night and less
We were treated wonderful even before we arrived Allison was so easy to book with over the phone (I'm old school!lol) and was just as pleasant when we arrived the entire staff was so friendly ! We loved it !
The rooms were clean (surprisingly quiet) and the beds were super comfortable! The staff was polite and accommodating. Great location for visiting Northwestern State and downtown Natchitoches. Enjoyed our trip.
The Best Western in Natchitoches Louisiana is better then home. We stayed one night there when we were in town last week for a funeral of a dear friend. The BW was one of the first in a horseshoe of motels off I-49. Getting in and out is a little tricky because the whole horseshoe is getting realigned and repaved. But guess what? Ivan and Miss Daisy we're right there to greet us, and Dustin in the morning! The first step into our handicap-designed room was a step into luxury. The restroom was spacious. There were safety rails on all of the shower walls. Even though I had to step over the side of the tub, the shower was spacious and the amenities expansive. The bed was perfect: not too high, perfect filling, perfect pillows and perfect bedding. We did not need to turn the thermostat higher because the three sheets and a blanket and a narrow throw were all we needed to stay warm on this freezing night. The BW is on the street that goes all the way through town, including over the Cane River Lake bridge, and the Christmas lights are mostly already up and lit. The official lighting ceremony is something like Nov. 11-Jan. 4. You will never forget driving alone the lakeside for miles and miles and seeing set pieces depicting your favorite Christmas songs, scenes, and memories. We managed to pick up a couple of Natchitoches meat pies on our way out of town (French Market - convenience store -$2.50 each), and ate them with red beans and rice once we got home. We need to return in spring to see the beautiful trees blooming, the historical and intriguing plantations, and some more of the wonders around Natchitoches. If you've never visited, it's pronounced Nak-i- tish.
Found a week old styrofoam food container on the floor next to the bed. Open bureau drawer and found it full with opened snack bags (chips, Doritos etc.). Wall plate missing from wall socket. Room had horrible odor. Manager gave me a spray with no label. No idea what was in it and is it harmful to children or animals. When I gave the manager the trash and food container his attitude was so nonchalant like this happens all the time.
My wife and I went to Nachitoches to see our granddaughter at University and to see her play soccer. The hotel was conveniently located, and the staff was accommodating. Some of the features, however, were obviously "upgraded" in a fashion to save pennies. This led to a bathroom that looked like it needed dollars. But, service excelled, and comfort prevailed over appearances.
Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean, comfortable and quiet. The bed was so comfortable!! The breakfast was great; the cook made sure everything was stocked. We really enjoyed our weekend getaway thanks to Best Western.
Enjoyed staying at this facility. The breakfast was good. The rooms were clean neat and well done. The staff helped find places that we were looking to visit. Daisy was the neatest greeter that I have met in many years.
Being welcomed by Allison and Miss Daisy was a treat after a long day on the road. My friend and I found the room well appointed and the beds very comfy. The room was clean, however, the vents in the air conditon unit could use some attention. Other than that it was perfect. Breakfast was nice, and the attendant was lovely...it felt like my grandmother had helped me start my day. Thank you and I will be back!
After getting screwed over by the overpriced Fairfield Inn next door on multiple occasions and after waking up almost needing back surgery from the mattresses at the Holiday Inn next door I decided on this hotel, and boy was I impressed! Excellent in every way, including the prices!!!
They had a very friendly staff. The breakfast was perfect, with bacon, scrambled eggs, waffles, and plenty of juices to choose from. Very quiet, so we slept very well. Did not use pool or exercise room. Was very pleased with stay.
For over twenty years I've come here.there was a time several years ago I stopped going but they did a much-needed remodel. I've been using it again for about 2 or 3 years and it's always a nice quiet comfortable night stay. It's just a two star hotel I still have smoking upstairs on one end and they do allow pets which I'm not very nuts about but I haven't had a bad experience with a pet in a long time. Easy access good parking okay breakfast friendly staff at a very good price I'll continue to stay here
The room was fresh with no mold odor from the AC. Why can't all hotels manage this?? Pillows also fresh with no dirty hair odor. I know. I know. High standards! They really are pet friendly and make an effort to put people with pets by exits. Standard breakfast.
This is the second time at the Best Western while in town just to hang out. Breakfast was just fine. The front desk staff was great and very helpful. We will properly return in the future. Easy to find and lots of places to eat.
Comfortable and clean room. Pet friendly with a fee. Early in the morning of my stay and prior to check-in or the time of cancellation policy being reached I saw that the hotel had charged my credit card for that night's stay even though I could have cancelled up until 4:00 PM. When I expressed my displeasure with that when checking in I was told by the desk clerk "Management doesn't want to hold reservations only to find out later that the credit card may not be any good." Following that discussion I went out to get my suitcases and I saw that the clerk had put a $10 charge on my card without authorization. Keep in mind they had already charged my card for the full cost of the stay. When I asked about this charge I was told it "was for incidentals". When I pointed out there are no incidentals to purchase and that the charge wasn't authorized he then said "it's just in case something is damaged". I have stayed at hundreds of hotels/motels and have never encountered a property, until now, that charged my credit card without authorization. This is a nice town and the rooms at the hotel are nice, but if you stay keep an eye on your credit card. For this reason alone I will not stay here again.
I left then came back after the remodel. This trip my family surprised me and came. Look was dirty and bed killed my wife's back. I was in one of the executive suits and the bed and pillows were bad. Very springy. Breakfast all week for all 4 days there was THE SAME scrambled eggs... Ugggggg. So for the price point I may look elsewhere next time. I've tried 3 others in that group of hotels and I'm quite sure the same man ownes ALL of them. Location is great. Price is ok for what you get. Room was clean and everyone is nice and professional.
When we walked in the front desk gentleman was very pleasant and helpful. The immediate clean smell was a plus. All the staff were friendly and nice, breakfast was continental and everything was clean and orderly. It was a bit confusing getting into the correct hotel. there are 4 right there together, otherwise, no problems, will be stopping again if we are in Natchitoches.
As a Harley-Davidson HOG chapter from Houston, we planned to visit the city of Natchitoches, Louisiana for its historic, touristy & neatness characteristics. It was 35 of us on 30 bikes. We booked up the hotel . we were all very pleased with the hotel.
Spent 2 nights at this inn. Great motel with everything you could want. Excellent breakfast and a friendly staff to meet your needs. Clean rooms and lots to do in town. Would definitely stay again on a return trip..
I was upset with Best Western for many years, because my mileages expired and BW would not extend my time frame. ( this was in the 90s) I was just one night away. (This was in the 90s, when 10 stays within one year was equivalent to one free night. The room was neat; staff wonderful and wifi and breakfast was great
We stayed in room 103. The ceiling had long yellow marks above both beds and it needed new mattresses. Breakfast was great, as was the staff. Room and bathroom seemed clean. Would stay there again. This is our second time to stay there
We were visiting family for the holidays and stayed here. Very nice hotel and pleasant workers. The breakfast was very good. Even thought, it is a little distance to the main part of town, it was not a bad drive to get there.
The room was clean; linens clean; bed comfortable; all in good condition; plenty of room; well laid out; plenty of soaps, lotions, etc. Although we're not handicapped, as senior citizens we were given a first floor room near the exit which was very convenient. We liked the coffee in the breakfast area but the breakfast was disappointing - greasy bacon; sweet rolls and biscuits not too good and hard to heat in MW... may have been my error. Yogurt was tasty.
We checked in after midnight and went to our room to find it dirty. There were no other rooms available. The front desk clerk cleaned the room for us so it took an extra 30-40 minutes to finally get settled in the room. After that everything about our stay was fine.
I left my suitcase in the room and when the maid discovered it and turned it in at the desk the desk clerks called me and told me they would hold in for me. They then sent it to my home in Corpus Christi. The staff there is awesome. I would recommend this Inn to all who want to spend a great time at a great place in Nacogdoches Texas.
Very Happy. Often when I ask for certain accommodations (like foam pillows, not feather, or reserve specific size beds in advance) they are ignored. I had asked that the sofa bed be made in advance (because one hotel had not changed sheets from previous guest). THIS hotel had the extra couch / bed waiting for my family. TV remote control was in a sanitized sleeve, Check in host helped me look for a lost sweater with courtesy, Check out hostess graciously stopped to take a Birthday picture of my Sisters and me. The Breakfast hostess was quietly pleasant to those who were sleepy, and conversational to those travelers who enjoyed talking. She was very motherly to the Women's Vollyball Team who came in.
While the front desk service at this hotel was superb, friendly and helpful, the room was subpar. The nonsmoking floor and room both smelled like an ashtray; there were dirty socks from a previous guest on the floor at my arrival; the bed was hard and uncomfortable with tiny pillows and insufficient blankets; the tv didn't work; the fridge was noisy, and not only did the maid mess with my laptop, but she removed the shower curtain and didn't replace it. I had to call the front desk at 11 p.m. in order to be able to take a shower.
We stopped over in Natchitoches returning from vacation. We were greeted warmly by Jacob. He is a very polite young man. Check in was easy. Our room was clean and spacious. Typical hotel breakfast. We headed out to eat and jokingly asked Jacob if there were any chocolate chip cookies. He said I will make some. Upon returning from dinner, there were the cookies waiting. A wonderful stay.
I visited Natchitoches to spend time with my niece who attends Northwestern University. I checked into the BW Natchitoches. The room was clean and cool upon entering. I had issues with turning on the AC, but upon calling the front desk, a team member immediately came up and advised the AC/Heat thermostat is located on the wall and not on the unit located near the window. Nice clean sheets, firm mattress, kind, friendly and courteous staff.
As my past reviews stated I have come to this hotel and others owned by the same owner here off hwy 6 for 20 years... this BW did a good job updating but I'm SAD to say cleanliness is NOT up to par just like the Holiday Inn Express and Comfort Suites next door. I hope my pictures will prompt the OWNER and Management to take cleani g more seriously... it was not disgusting or even real bad but still, come on wipe down everything and with the simple things not cleaned it makes us travelers doubt if the room is even sanitized!???? I offered to text the pictures I showed to the girl at check out and another worker but i guess they went interested... Now they will be. And this room was there BEST suite.... wow. We will see about a response and i might give them one more chance. It is a not too busy mostly quiet hotel. Beds are firm but pillows are small little balls... breakfast is the same old boring scrambled eggs and sort... nothing special.Hope they do a cleaning and do a company wide training on how to properly clean a room...
Good price and friendly staff. I would recommend and definitely stay here again. Clean rooms, lobby, and facility. Was also in a good location for the job I was on which made it very convenient for my daily commute
Dog on property. I was not made aware of that I have severe allergies. My reservations were canceled or so it was said, and I couldnt get my $20 credit from est Western Rewards. But the staff tried to accommodate me as much as they could, especially the morning staff. Breakfast was great.
Lobby and related spaces are great. The rooms are dated, If you want to step back to the 50's you'd love it.I should have known problems were going to occur when I couldn't even find the hotel on the first drive by. The street sign is small and in rain it blends right in. Walking into the lobby was not an improvement. The staff on duty did not acknowledge my presence until I stepped to the counter. Very inconsiderate, maybe she was having a bad day? The morning staff was completely different and very friendly. The rooms are laid out as you would expect from the 50-60's, an exterior hallway the air conditioners in the Windows blowing cold air on you as you sleep. Given all the choices of lodging in the area that are competing for the same guests, I won't be returning.
We needed a place for the night and found this place. Check in was very fast, the night desk clerk was great and the room was very, very nice. The room was large and very nice, the bed was very comfortable and the breakfast was good. Highly recommend.
Everything was spotless and the staff extremely friendly and helpful. We were moving my daughter into the dorm at the nearby college and it was an emotional day. The hotel provided an excellent opportunity to de-stress and regroup. We will be making the 4 hour trip many more times in the upcoming year and we will definitely stay here each time.
Our room was great (except for the *&%# pillows). The reception staff were friendly and accommodating. However, the breakfast was disappointing (cold, not fully attended to, etc.), and the hall reeked of smoke. I'd stay here again, but I hope those items are rectified.
My stay was good. The staff was friendly and helpful. The cleanliness of the hotel was very good and maintained on a daily basis. The location was about 45 minutes from where we needed to be, but it was in a more calmer location.
I arrived July 9 and upon check in I learned the pet fee was now $30.00 instead of $20.00. I explained to the very polite check in clerk that I had booked the hotel that morning and the Hotels.com stated the pet fee was $20.00 and it was the same amount I had paid last year. The posted fee is still shown to be $20.00 at the time I am writing this review. He was very sympathetic and explained it was out of his control for what the hotel now charged. He offered to let us out of our reservation which my wife wanted us to do. I knew that our only other choices for pet friendly hotels in Natchitoches were Motel 6 and the Super 8. We went on and checked in the clerk contacted hotel management who agreed to reduce the fee back to the expected $20.00. When we checked out the fee was reduced to $20.00 so I give praise to that young man for his efforts. I also give praise to the hotel for doing what they promised. When traveling in the USA I travel with my house trained 6 pound miniature pincher dog and I carefully make my hotel selection based on their acceptance of pets and the additional fees they charge. With an increase to $30.00 a night that makes their fee more than one third of the room charge. I understand motels charging fees especially when the pets they accept shed hair. I would assume sometimes additional cleaning may be required. In my case I would sincerely doubt my dog ever caused even a minute of additional cleaning but I understand a hotel would not know this. I love to stay at LaQuinta who accept pets where allowed by law and have no additional pet fees. $20.00 a night is the maximum amount I am willing to pay so when I return to Natchitoches this weekend I will not be staying here. This property is very well maintained and I think their staffing is way above average. Everything is immaculately clean and for the most part in working order. This stay I was in room 121 and had difficulty connecting to the internet but had no issues connecting when in the lobby and breakfast area. The breakfast is very good with an very attentive lady keeping everything in stock and making sure all the guests are happy. I also had some difficulty engaging the shower but was able to finally get it to work. Also the pool was closed which was disappointing. I was not really given any explanation other that it would be working again the next day. If that is important to you I would inquire if it was working before checking in.
The hotel had a pre-fabricated feel and reminded me of some of the places they've created quickly in South Dakota to accommodate people needing rooms to work the oil fields. Very small TV that seemed dwarfed in the good sized room - frustratingly slow internet, among the worse I've seen in a long time. The gent at the front desk said there was nothing he could do except leave a note for management to see in the morning. Management was super caring and inquired if the internet was still bad in the morning - it was. I was offered a discount on my room rate due to the frustrating internet which was the way to handle the matter. Hopefully the problem can be identified and solved. When we checked in they had really tasty "brownie cookies". I wanted more than one but wanted others to enjoy them too! Breakfast was typical with the normal choices. I liked that they offered sausage gravy but it was thin and watery.
This is a nice hotel close to I-49, the rooms were clean and comfortable. There is easy access to the University and to the downtown historic area from the hotel. The rooms are quiet and there is a nice breakfast. The staff was one the friendliest which I have seen and were more then willing to help with anything. There is a nice breakfast, with a good selection of items. I use this hotel anytime I am in the area.
A good hotel for a short stay. Clean & adequate. Front desk staff very nice & professional. The location is good, only short drove to the historical Natchitoches. There is a French market next to the hotel that has a great selection of wine & beer but also meat pies!
Parking area needs to be larger. Hotel was clean & orderly. Staff at check in & check out helpful & professional. Room needs to be updated (painted & drywall repair needed). Breakfast was fresh & hot, coffee was excellent.
We arrived in Natchitoches late last night with our dog and hadn't had the foresight to make reservations. We generally count on Best Western because they're so dog friendly! Dustin the front desk night staff person at the Natchitoches Best Western went above and beyond in helping us find somewhere nearby. He is a very bright, helpful young man! We appreciate the quality of service we received even though there was no room available!
This has been my usual place to stay for many many years. I left and started using comfort suites but had a few cleaning issues there and for the price i come here. 20 plus bucks a night less adds up when I'm here 3 or 4 nights. Anyway the staff always remembers me and i get a great price. Its usually clean and i get a good quiet nights rest. I donwish they were smole free but I stay other end. Nothing special here bit for the money i will choose this hotel every time. Please keep it clean and quiet at this price.
Very pleased with everything, Vary friendly staff and everything was clean and comfortable. I would highly recommend to anyone passing through to stop and stay the night. Great food nearby. plenty of sight seeing and downtown shopping.
Overall, this was a great, clean hotel! It was a short 5-10 minute drive to downtown Natchitoches. We had complimentarily breakfast each morning. Perfect for visiting the festival when you don't want to pay the bed and breakfast price.
I stoped using this hotel because of smoke and dogs but had a free BW night card and had to use it so I got 1st night free then paid the second night. The young lady at the front desk checking me in was great... I do like the appearance of the remodeled lobby is good gonna basic hotel although they need boot scrapers at the door... anyway my room was quiet, but there was toothpaste on the back of the bathroom door. Having one free n ight made this a better deal for sure but as I said unfortunately they allow smoming on one end of hotel... and they are pet friendly... i sucked it up to use my free night brfore it expired... for the price i am happy and will most likely come again if I have a voucher. The breakfast is the same microwave stuff but the sausage was NOT HOT so I had tonnuke it BOTH DAYS i was there. Parking is very good and secure. Several restaurants are walking distance and the sound of the road is not bad.
This is one of the great locations for Best Western. There are several choices nearby but I believe this is the best choice. Clean rooms very helpful staff, and great location. The food is OK but none of the places we have stayed are all that good. But it's a great value.
The hotel is beautiful, the room spacious. The staff was wonderful. From the front desk staff, dietary, housekeeping, maintenance, everyone made you feel like family. Will definitely stay again when in the area.
Most of our kids had plans for Thanksgiving this year so we decided to go to Natchitoches for a few days. Nice little town with one of the best Christmas light displays along the Cane river that we have seen! Great weekend!
I had been on the road for days and decided to stay over. The front desk was wonderful and my two small dogs were permitted and pampered. The room was very new and the property was in terrific shape. Breakfast was very good. This is a very good stop.
This is a clean and convenient hotel that we have stayed at a couple of times while visiting a family member in school. The staff is extremely pleasant and the value is good. Nothing fancy but clean and comfortable with an easy location.
room was good, breakfast needs help, ran out of some of the food, but it was crowed. small area, close to restaurants several to chose from, when in area again would return back to this location, everyone was friendly and helpful
A standard BW with everything OK, nothing special. A bit hard to find the driveway in initially. A 10 minute drive into town. We didn't try their breakfast as there is an I Hop close by and it was the choice for that day. Standard pull off the Interstate place.
We stayed here on our way from Texas to New Orleans. The Best Westerns really are a wonderful place to stay. Nice rooms, hot breakfasts, and friendly staff. We traveled with our dog and they are pet friendly.
We had a wonderful stay in a very clean and comfortable hotel. Thanks to Dustin for his friendliness and professionalism. The hotel had a wonderful fragrance when you walked in. Housekeeping staff very friendly. Would recommend a stay at this hotel. We will probably be coming back to visit the city for a few days and will DEFINITELY be staying here!
Good: Breakfast, Staff, Cleanliness, Bathroom, Location, Blackout curtains, AC Avg: room size, setup, TV, Lighting Bad: Hard bed = no sleep = very bad experience, So-so internet Will be looking for place with better bed. Will probably have to trade something for it. Other hotels near this one are worse.
As we were traveling it has a great location on/off highway. Biggest factor is they do have some smoking rooms. For a smoker these are far & few between. Makes for a comfortable experience to not have to stand outside.
I enjoyed the pampering I received upon checkin. I had a clean room, amenities quality. Breakfast was yummy and a good way to start the day. Had alittle bit very every taste. Parking lot was clean and good repair. Close to many activities.
We stayed here and didn't expect much since it's directly off the interstate in a busy area of fast food, hotels and gas stations. We were pleasantly surprised. This is a clean and comfortable hotel with a friendly staff, a good breakfast and nice touches. We loved the lobby dog, Daisy "Days Inn." We loved how pleasant the room was with comfortable beds, a nice chair to sit in, a fridge, microwave and a desk for working. The bathroom was updated. The pet fee is $20.
I stayed here overnight on a business trip in the area. I was quite surprised on how nice this quaint Hotel is. The staff that I encountered we're all warm and welcoming. The room was clean and spacious with a comfortable bed, a comfortable working area, and a comfortable lounge chair. I would definitely stay here again when in the area.
Clean, comfortable rooms. Employees polite, courteous and friendly. On one morning, my husband was having problems with his diabetes. The breakfast area was closed, but the lady in there went above and beyond to open the kitchen to get him some food and juice. Thank you so much ! This was our 2nd trip (first in 2016 for honeymoon and in 2017 for anniversary. We will be back. Plus, it is a pet friendly hotel.
Just a little get away. It has been several years since we stayed here. Property was clean. Reservation was painless. Dustin greeted us warmly. The room was very clean as well as the bathroom. Excellent room. A couple of hiccups, first I tried to adjust the shower head, the arm going into the wall just extremely loose, notified the front desk. second was the wifi. It would drop connection in about 30 seconds. Called and talked to front desk Dustin who said the wifi was working, so I rebooted my ipad, cleared the history, still drop connection, so I thought it may be my ipad, not so because we went on to Shreveport and the wifi worked great at the hotel there. Still I rate the hotel as excellent. It was a great hotel
Just passing through on our way to Gulfport/Biloxi. I called ahead earlier in the day to get a reservation and talked to Dustin. He was very helpful and when we got there at 11:00pm he remembered my name and made checking in very easy. Clean hotel and good breakfast!
Rooms Clean, Internet was Good, Has a Good Swimming Pool outside, Good Breakfast- Hot too! Eggs, Bacon, Sausage, Cereals and Waffles! All Juices too and Milk! Flat Screen T.V. Eden was super!! Congrat's for finding her!!
Title just about says it all - hotel was clean, decent priced and staff was extremely friendly. I called early and asked for an early check in. Was no problem at all! Front desk had everything ready when we got there. Quiet area (or was on our weeknight) and was a good stay. Will stay again if we go to Natchitoches.
The inn has excellent service and rooms. I would recommend it unless you want internet service. The internet service goes in and out. I love the fact that they had fresh fruit for breakfast. So many hotels don't provide this anymore.
The hotel was very clean, and the young lady that assisted us at check in was very friendly, however, the accolades stop there. The bed was very hard and uncomfortable and the air conditioning did not keep the room cool during the night. We would have requested another room because of the situation with the air, but, we were too tired to change rooms in the middle of the night. When we addressed the issue the following morning, we were told that that was a "Melissa issue" and that Melissa was not there. I asked about a reduction in our rate and could not get an answer. The breakfast was awful. We have marked that one off the list.
Friendly staff from start to finish. Comfortable king-size bed with standard room amenities. Nice clean room and bathroom. We enjoyed their hot breakfast before we continued on our trip. We will definitely stay there again.
No king available even though I had reservation. Queen Bed not comfy. Hate those foa pillows that are bulky. Elevator wasn't working next morning. Plenty of hot water. Very clean. But smoking rooms available. I like total no smoking properties.
Very clean and well appointed rooms. Friendly staff at both check in and check out. Breakfast has very attentive staff member who is constantly cleaning and restocking and making sure everyone is happy. Hotel is pet friendly with an additional charge of $20.00 per night per pet. I had a little difficulty finding the property since the signage is very small and I did not arrive by way of Interstate 49 which has a large sign on it. This hotel is directly behind the IHOP and next door to the Days Inn and in front of the Holiday Inn. There is a driveway which is basically unmarked from the road.
The hotel/motel is a little hard to find among all the other motel/hotels, but it was a perfect for and overnight stay while on the road.. The town of Natchitoches is a nice little town. The staff are all good, especially the breakfast lady.
Of the several hotels in the Natchitoches, the Best Western is the best value. A very good hotel in all respects at a price lower that others that are no better. Good service, good breakfast, and above all, a good room with quiet A/C, good TV, good bed, and a fridge and microwave.
Very nice and clean even wile construction on remodeling was going on. The staff could be more Importable about their location and things going on in the area. The rooms were very neat and clean AC worked well beds were very comfortable.
Needed a simple break away to de-stress. Hectic 3 weeks plus final exam left me needing to change scenes and my location. Daughter invited me to ride along with her because she was attending a wedding, so decided it would be a good opportunity to do so.
Still love Best Western, but I was pretty upset. The shower faucet handle was installed wrong, making the cold direction hot, and the hot direction cold, even though it's clearly labeled which way should the right way. As I turned the handle to cold, it burnt and startled me enough that I jumped back, causing me to slip, fall through the shower curtain, landing on the tile floor. I wasn't seriously injured, but it certainly hurt quite a bit, leaving a few ribs feeling bruised.
Nice exterior appearance of building, excellent room, excellent bed, excellent service from staff, excellent breakfast. Best value in Natchitoches, Louisiana. Will recommend to anyone who wishes to visit Natchitoches..
We stayed here for the LHSAA Cross Country Championship. Breakfast was good, rooms were clean and bed was comfortable. Only problem we had was the internet not connecting but we arrived late, was tired and did not report the issue.
I'm a dog owner, and was aware that this was a pet friendly hotel, but was also told that they do not put guest with pets on the 2nd floor. Well, unless people have learned to bark like dogs, the hotel front desk staff lied to me and my guests. The first night I did not hear any barking, but night number two, there were several dogs barking especially around the times of (6:00pm - 10:00pm).
We stayed one night and it was clean, quiet, and comfortable. Breakfast was a little above average for this type of motel with both hot and cold selections. The only negative was that the Wi-fi in our room never did work for more than 15 minutes. Marlon even came up to our room to try his best to get it to work, but it never much did.
This was probably one of the nicest Best Westerns I have ever stay at. I was pleasantly surprised by how nice and modern the decor of the front lobby and the rooms was. The front desk Girl was very nice and courteous. We booked a smoking room through tripadvisor because it was $10 cheaper and we were on a budget. I didn't even know smoking rooms still existed, but I was surprised by the hospitality of the front desk girl when she moved us to a nonsmoking room for no additional cost. The rooms were quiet and clean the beds were very big and very comfortable. Nice clean bathroom and the Ac worked very well. The only downside to be completely honest was having to leave. I would love to go back and visit again soon. I didn't get up in time for the breakfast but the dinning area was very nice and clean when I walked through to go to my car after check out. All in all I definitely will be staying again next time I'm in the area. Cheers.
Very friendly and clean hotel. Staff was wonderful and helpful. First time to stay in a Best Western but was very pleased with staff and quality of the hotel. Breakfast area staff and front desk staff was over and beyond their service compared to most hotels we have stayed at.
We checked four motels at the last minute. We had to stop driving. It was late and we were tired. one of the places was a Days Inn. They had people out front in lawn chairs grilling out. It was very sketchy! Then we went to the Best Western. It was $5.00 less than the Days Inn and was a perfect suite. The bed was so comfortable. The young man that checked us in was very polite and accommodating. I think his name was Marson. It was extremely clean and very quiet. I would recommend this place to anyone. Two thumbs up!!!
This motel was amazing! All staff was helpful and very friendly! The free breakfast was hot and delicious and the pool was crystal clear! Stayed there 2 nights with my family and enjoyed every minute there!!!
Nice clean comfortable room. Arrived on a very hot, humid day and was offered a cold bottle of water during check in. Full breakfast in nice atmosphere with friendly staff. Pool area well kept. Since hotel is located just off of I49, it is near gas station and convenience store, which is great for travelers. If you are running late, they also have "grab & go" bags with water & snacks to get you on your way. Talk about Southern Hospitality.
Went to Natchitoches on Friday a day before a friends wedding ....we arrived at this hotel and the computers were down ..once the computers came up 2 hours later I gave our confirmation number that was given to me by the clerk that I spoke with by phone when I made the reservation for that Friday ..we were told that that the confirmation number for the reservation was not in the system and that they had been having problems with the system but they did have a vaccancy. WHEN I MADE MY RESERVATION I ALSO WAS TOLD I COULD GET AN GOVERNMENT RATE AND THAT DID NOT HAPPEN WHEN I FINALLY CHECKED IN AFTER I WAS TOLD I COULD HAVE IT WHEN I CALLED THE HOTEL DIRECTLY AND MADE MY RESERVATION FOR THAT FRIDAY...WARNING!!! do not call this hotel directly go thru a 2nd party as far as making reservations so that you can have some kind of record via email or recorded phone calls. I WAS CHARGED FOR AN RESERVATION DATE THAT I DID NOT EVEN MAKE !!!!!!!!! Called the Hotel about it today after checking my statements..have to say Ms.Melissa tried to assist me and was very professional...even after explaining to her that I was told that the clerk (the day of my check in) told me once the computers came up that I was not in the system with a confirmed reservation... So now Im out of $103.50... when I checked out my bill did not display that extra charged .. Crooks...that is how I personally feel about this hotel...and definetly not worth staying for 115.00.
did know info about it being pet friendly the owners dog walked into the breakfast area as if we were guest-maybe he's right ,it is a health violation, the bed was the worst i have had two sleep on out of staying in places around the world . i thought that it was just me ;however my wife expressed the same our backs are just now recovering. my son was in another part of the hotel he said he had trouble sleeping on the beds. the second night i was up all night trying to recover from dog allergies. the animals should be in just one area of the facility. the beds are bad, the staff was unresponsive when i told them about my experience. i was supposed to have an executive suit , it never happen i was placed in room 209 ,a regular room , it was a bad experience completely , the staff kept lying about putting cookies out they did not after the first day, this place doesn't represent the company well.absolutely the worst, i stayed there years earlier it was fine. i don't know what happen.i can be reached at 678-392-9155 , one staff member told me he would try to discount my stay he never followed up .the dog that ventures to all the hotels owned by the same person allows the dog access throughout, in fact the dog follows staff around and he was in my room with the cleaning lady or the maintenance man based on my allergic reaction. after that incident i did not allow the cleaners back in my room ,i just requested towels. this was bad. internet didn't even work. the breakfast area only had pork product, and i do not eat them. the eggs had no flavor.the juice was good and the instant oats and grits were also good.
The staff was very helpful, welcoming and friendly. Room was clean, hotel - although older - was clean and taken care of. Next door is a gas station with a bakery, liquor store and convenience store. The bakery is to die for and there is a little eating area there as well. Great location. Will definitely book again.
When stranded in historic flooding, there is no better place. Owner is 'hands on' daily. Despite staff shortages due to flood waters, things ran as smoothly as possible. Had stayed here previously, and returned for the very competent service and dependable lodging.
After checking our reservation twice beforehand, we were told on arrival that we had been "upgraded" to a king bed with studio couch. Two queen beds were needed for occupents! No other room was available. Couch was lumpy with steel springs. Not good for person's concentration at next day business conference!
Please don't hesitate to stay at this hotel. The front staff were very accommodating. The bed was comfortable. The breakfast was good. The location was great. Good value! This was a good hotel especially for the price
Hotel Staff were very hospitable, and available at all hours of the day. Rooms were clean, beds were firm and pillows soft. A/C worked great as did the shower/tub. Breakfast was stocked, hot, ready and waiting for all who came to eat. They had Newspapers on the tables for all to enjoy and the television was on the weather channel for all to check out which roads had been closed due to heavy rain and flash flooding. Due to the bad weather the internet service was going in and out so the clerk could not check us in electronically but took care of our billing by hand and told us when the internet was back up they would call us and send our documentation out electronically. They did not hassle us for the routine signature that is normally needed when you check in with pets. We received our documentation with in an hour or so. There is a fitness room and all equipment was in proper working condition. Even with all the commotion of people looking for rooms and such it was very quiet even on the first floor which we were on. Very convenient to a few restaurants (IHOP, Wendy's and Popeye's) which came in handy since roads were closed going in to Natchitoches. There is a gas station which also serves food, desserts, snack items, alcoholic/non-alcoholic beverages, NSU University memorabilia plus the usual odd and ends. There are 3 or 4 other hotels right next to each other in this area as well.
We reserved a handicapped room and was checked into a non-handicapped room, then was offered a room with a proper toilet but NOT shower, etc. I had to refuse both rooms and request to speak to the manager before I was finally offered the room reserved, 45 minutes later.
I would recommend this location in Natchitoches, LA. I stay here when I'm working in this area. The small downtown w/ the restaurants/ bars is very inviting. I would like to come back & spend some leisure time here.
We were a group of six, three couples. We selected this hotel at random because they offered a picnic area. They far exceeded our expectations. The staff is very friendly and helpful going above and beyond to make us comfortable. We hope to visit Natchitoches again and will definitely stay at this hotel.
I have stayed here many times and it is normally a decent place to stay. However, when I went to my room the door was already open and the floor was really wet. I'm guessing that they just had a number of the carpets cleaned. Which is good but after moving rooms 3 or 4 times I just got irritated. The final room they assigned me to the carpet was still slightly damp. But, I didn't want to bother them anymore.
This place is clean and the staff is friendly. If you're road-tripping (we were driving from Florida to Texas) it's conveniently located right off 49. We chose this place instead of the many other hotels located in the same cluster because it's dog-friendly for just a $20 fee - and the nightly rate was only $95. The only bad thing is there are very few restaurant options near the hotel and almost no restaurant delvers to the hotel (no Pizza Hut, Dominos, Papa John's, etc) so eat on the road or bring something with you before you check in.
We stayed one night to see the Christmas festival. Our check in and out was very friendly and efficient. Our rooms were large and comfortable. Breakfast was plentiful and offered a wide variety of food choices. Only thing that needed improvement was getting in and out of the hotel. There are several hotels squished together all sharing the same driveway . Poorly designed but a minor inconvenience. Overall I would stay at this hotel again should be in Natchitdoches.
Booked on night here because they are pet friendly. Stayed an extra night because this Best Western is REALLY nice and there's so much to do in Natchitoches. Plenty of grass for the puppies. Great breakfast. Super friendly staff. Walking distance to IHOP and a great place for meat pies. We loved this place so much that we stayed the extra day here.
I am a die-hard loyal Hilton member so staying at a non-Hilton brand was hard for me, but had to be done because we were bringing our dog to Natchitoches. The Hampton Inn across the street doesn't allow pets, so the Best Western was the next best option. Overall, we found a pretty good rate and I was greeted with friendly service by all of the Best Western staff. The room was pretty clean and no major issues. The TV didn't work, but with a dog in the room it would have been more of a hassle having maintenance come in to try and fix it and dealing with some possible barking while the dog was crated. Breakfast was better than expected, and again the lady who ran the breakfast was very friendly and accommodating. The parking lot and whole surrounding area was just so narrow and felt crowded. It was very hard to find a parking space, without worrying that I would either be blocked in or my car hit by the next morning. There was more parking on the other side of the building, but the issue with that is it was much more isolated. We arrived late one night after seeing the fireworks downtown, to find 2 homeless people walking around and a cop also walking around. Not to mention there was a robbery at this hotel only a few days prior, so safety was definitely a concern. It was one of those hotels you make sure you deadbolt the door, and double check the windows were locked completely. If I were to come back to Natchitoches with my dog, I would probably stay here again, but only by default. If I were back without the dog I would not come back, but mostly because I am a spoiled Hilton traveler.
My son loves this hotel and we have stayed here several times. We love getting up in the morning for Breakfast. My son feels so comfortable there, at 7 years old, I was able to send him to the front desk for more shampoo. We love the free cookies and free internet. it is one of the nicest Best Western Hotels I have ever stayed in. of course the B & B's are lovely in Natchitoches and I wouldn't try to steer you away from those, but this is a great second choice! We love it and it is a first choice for us.
checked in Friday 12/18/15 evening. Front desk was very nice and offered wonderful advice for the Christmas lights and restaurants. All front desk people were very nice. Loved that this hotel was pet friendly with reasonable rules. Breakfast was good. Lady taking care of breakfast room was extremely nice and helpful.
Check in staff not at all knowledgeable or helpful regarding area and major holiday events going on. Tried to check in at 2pm on a Friday and were told there were no rooms ready (hard to believe) . . . come back at 3. No hot water when getting ready to check out Sunday morning. Location was as handy as any motel in area to Christmas events (they're all grouped together at Interstate 49 exit). Room was clean and modern. Breakfast staff kept the buffet filled. Selection was not as good as other inclusive hotels we've stayed at and the egg and bacon hot tray didn't kept things hot. The holiday weekend activities were lots of fun, but I'd try the Holiday or Hampton Inn the next time.
Excellent location for the festival. We stayed 2 nights and were very pleased with our stay. The room was clean and up to date. Staff were friendly and helpful. Didn't care for the breakfast but there was a good variety of hot and cold choices. I would definitely stay there again and recommend it to everyone.
My husband, my parents, and I stayed here 3 nights to see the Xmas lights, and generally view the area. The room was great, and was very clean when we would return in the evenings. The breakfast was delicious, and the front desk ladies were very helpful. But, the internet was slow and unreliable. If that's not important to you, then this is the place to stay. It is conveniently located to an IHOP and a convenience store.
Very clean, friendly staff. The room was clean and had everything you needed. Easy to get to. Price was very reasonable. The bed was so soft I slept like a baby. I was so tired. It was quite. There was no trouble, like some places I have stayed at before.
I would recommend this hotel for a short stay only. The breakfast was what is expected, the housekeeping was excellent (room was very clean) and the staff were nice, but the room we stayed in needed some fixing. Very large ceiling stains (paint was pealing off), musty smell, and the a/c barely worked.
We made a reservation for one night and ended up staying two. Nachitoches is a lovely place to visit and the Christmas lights are a major draw. Hotel was very comfortable, pet friendly and accommodated our added Saturday night's stay.
We came to Natchitoches for the Christmas lights and fireworks and decided to make a weekend of it. For our last minute trip, we booked a room at the Best Western. It was conveniently located to Downtown. The room was reasonably priced and very clean and comfortable. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The price was very reasonable for the value. Thanks to the entire staff for a very pleasant experience.
This was a good hotel - the desk people were very friendly. Breakfast was standard, but hot and there was plenty, with an attendant there to check on things and she was very friendly also. The bed was very comfortable. The only criticism I might have on the room was that there weren't very many plug-ins to charge phones, iPads, etc.
very nice hotel all accommodations we needed! they are pet friendly and the pet fee was not like all the others! we normally stay with laquinta inn and suites but this was just as good as our normal picks! very relaxing!
We stayed at Best Western in Natchitoches during family visit Oct 26-30 and celebrated our wedding anniversary. The room was very nice as was the breakfast. Staff friendly and motel was quiet and restful at night. This was our first time at a Best Western and found it as nice as any other.
The hotel was clean and the bed was comfortable. The major complaint I have is that the temperature in the room was hard to control. We were either sweating profusely or curled up in blankets...no happy medium. Also the bathroom fan was missing and there were exposed pipes and wires dangling from the ceiling. Would I stay here again? Probably not just based on those two things.
The room was great. It had a small refrigerator as well as a microwave. There was also a small sofa with coffee table. I loved being able to have a sitting area separate from the bed. We had a view of the outdoor pool. However, we were too busy with sightseeing to get to enjoy it. Sleeping was great as we did not hear any outside noises from the hallway or stairs. The staff always greeted us. The front desk clerk (sorry did not get her name) after we checked in called our room to be sure we were happy with our accommodations. When we checked out the same clerk wish us a safe trip home.
This motel is good in all the right ways. We had a very pleasant experience. They met all our needs. The rooms were at the top end for service and cleaniness. Location is on the hwy. not too far from the town center
Hotel was fine except there was an odor in the room when you walked in. We didn't report the problem. Stayed there before with same problem. Just a funky odor. Other than that everything was great. Probably won't stay here again unless other hotels are full.
Michelle at the front desk was extremely helpful and kind. The room was very clean and quiet. The next morning, after checking out and being on the road for about 10 minutes, we realized that we had left one of our phone chargers in the room. We phoned the hotel and they told us that they have it at the front desk by the time we git there to pick it up.
I have stayed here a number of times. My sister was visiting from PA and I wanted to make her visit special as it was her first to the area. Room was great. Spacious, linens were top quality, breakfast offered many choices and they even accommodated a special request of my sister. Made the experience great for her, which was my goal. When I know I need to have good quality, good service for a reasonable price I can always count on Best Western.
Great place for a weekend getaway, Great restaurants located nearby, Great sightseeing and shopping, Wonderful staff. We will come back. The only problem I had is coming up with 200 characters for this survey.
Everything was wonderful except Internet connection did not work at all. The staff was very friendly. The Ice machine did not work on the second floor either and the coke machine stole our money. But overall we were pleased.
This hotel has been remodeled , very old, remodeling job was not very good. The halls smelled smoke terribly. The bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was good, however breakfast area was too small to accomodate everyone. Air in room worked very well however it was very loud.
