    « Comfortable and clean »

Great weekend away. The room had all that you need, clean, comfortable beds and a great breakfast. We didn't use the pool and gym but it was good to know that it was available if we wanted to. Location was easy to get to and from and close to shops and cafes.

    « Good nights sleep »

One night stop over here, gave us a good nights sleep, room was clean and well equipped, there is an indoor pool with jacuzzi and gym for guest use, we used the pool and jacuzzi but can't comment on the gym equipment! The bathroom had all the necessities and was up to date, furnishings in the room were old but in good Condition, my only complaint would be the seating area outside the room was dirty (including the floor) so we couldn't use it, breakfast was included in the price and had a good choice. Hotel isn't in walking distance to the town and a bit of a trot to the beach but was more than suitable for our stay.

    « Excellent »

Rooms and bed are brilliant size. Everything you need including minibar and tea and coffee facilities. Walking distance to Mornington Main Street which is a bonus! Staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast was buffet style with barista coffee offered. Would definitely recommend this to other couples who are stopping in Mornington.

    « A hidden gem »

My family booked in here as part of my son's wedding at red hill winery. Great staff at reception, clean rooms with plenty of space. Even when we had fold out bed in room.... Pool and spa were good. Would definitely stay here again.

    « A very comfortable weekend »

The rooms are very nice, really enjoyed the King bed! While the building is older it has been very tastefully renovated. Very nice bathrooms also. The breakfast as part of the package was amazing. Our only difficulty was their was a wedding on Saturday and people had taken our parks and then were noisy when leaving, maybe venue parking needs to be away from motel parking! Didnt realize their is also a great indoor pool as I was part of a group booking.

    « Family holiday »

Stayed here for 3 nights and were quite impressed. Nice large room. Bed was huge and very comfortable. Rooms were serviced each day. Buffet breakfast each morning was also great. The grounds were gorgeous and kept very neat and tidy. Would definitely stay here again

    « Good for a conference »

Came here for a work conference. Great dinner and breakfast package included in our stay. The hotel is an easy walk to Main St. Rooms were nice and mine had a spa. Only downside was an issue with a room key but this was sorted quickly by the staff.

« Good Value for money, close to main street »

We recently spent one weekend night at Best Western. The room was a good size, clean, king sized bed, nicely appointed with good linen and accessories. The door from the bedroom led out onto a good sized enclosed patio with a table and 2 chairs. A nice secluded area to sit and have a drink if the weather permits. This is of course if you are in one of the ground floor units. We stayed in unit 41. One thing that did surprise on arrival as it was not included in any website information, was the very generous buffet breakfast that we enjoyed the next morning. So much to pick from; the usual cooked food (all hot and well cooked) to cereals, pastries, good quality tea, coffee and jams, 4 types of bread. Cold food available too, including smoked salmon, ham, cheese etc. Complimentary papers to read as well. The motel is off the main street so in a quiet spot, but only minutes by car to cafes and shops. The dining room is not open for dinner the night we were there (Sunday) but being so close to the cafe precinct, this did not present a problem. In all a very good impression. Would stay there again, especially for the breakfast!

« Older but great motel »

This is an older but a clean quiet motel that surpringly offered us a good breakfast The bed was comfortable and the bathrooms were very good Good hot shower and parking available right outside your room but take care as the tree outside dropped stuff all over our car

« Not very pleasant stay »

The room is spacious and basic amenities is provided. The room seems old and not very clean compare to other hotels we've stayed during our 9 days trip. There's so many mosquitoes and insects flying into the room. There's insect repellent spray in the wardrobe but seems like not useful at all. The hotel car park is just right in front if your room which is very helpful.

    « Excellent! »

We stayed here in august this year and were so pleased with the room and the property in general. It was extremely clean, the bed was huge and comfortable. The staff were also fantastic and made sure we were well looked after. Would definitely stay here again. Thanks so much!

« Hotel is unable to provide evidence of minibar consumption »

I realized that I was being charged S$44.59 on my credit card on 23 Sep stating that we had consumed items in the minibar. First of all, we did not consume any. Secondly, the hotel is unable to provide any evidence other than just wordings in the email. When I asked if they can give me the names of the people staying in the 2 rooms, a lady by the name of Leanne gave me 2 names. After I tried to probe further, another lady by the name of Elisa told me that she was unable to match the names to the rooms as we had checked in under a group. Why did Leanne gave me 2 names in the first place? Isn't this misleading and trying to hide? Lastly, lady at the reception had horrendous attitude. beware of this hotel and do not give your credit card details to them no matter what.

    « Quiet and cosy »

A very nice quiet and cosy spot to stay. Rooms are a good size and tidy and we had a nice little courtyard disappointed it wasn't maintained, tea and coffee facilities and had a toaster would have been good if there was a microwave. In a good location only about 5 minute walk to the main street. Had a slight issue being charged for a breakfast we didn't have but after one phone call the problem was sorted... Would recommend and stay here again...

« Beautiful place to stay »

Totally loved the place. Was upgraded when we arrived, check in was quick and easy and was told about things on and around the area. We only stayed the night but plan on a longer trip next time. Highly recommend.

« A place to put your head »

A very clean presentable Motel. Gym and indoor pool available but not used by us this visit. Poor wifi. Toilet seat broken. Noticeable mould in shower Ceiling. Small courtyard but no view. We would not return to this venue.

    « Comfy room »

Modern rooms, well appointed with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Has indoor pool too. There was a wedding on during our stay but no noise or issues. Would happily recommend as a nice place to stay

« A quiet escape in busy Mornington »

Had one of the best sleeps on my trip at this motel, which was enhanced by the welcoming staff and facilities on offer. A spacious room (all are ground floor), which was nice and warm. Good water pressure in the shower and loved the skylight in the bathroom. Only a short walk to the town centre.

« Good condition, large room »

Location is easy to find. We arrived here at 9pm. All restuarant is already closed. So, have to buy some instant food from Coles. There are amenities and equipment in room such as hair dryer, dishes, bowls, glasses, dish washing sink, etc. The bed in my friend's room can be warmed but not mine. I don't know which room has this. So, if you like to sleep on warmed bed, you should request. Mini bar is not expensive, a bottle of beer costs au$6. Also, you can park at the front of your room. A big balcony outside is good. But anyone can walk through the balcony of each room!!

    « Low quality service »

The motel as such is good but the staff give the impression of being above reproach. The check-in and check-out took longer than necessary with inefficient staff unable to process what was being said without repetition.

    « Nice Stay »

We stayed at this lovely hotel for Peninsula Hot Spring. But the hotel itself is good enough for spa and holidays. Walk distance to shopping center, restaurants and beach, though it is on a quite street. The hotel's restaurant is nice, too. We tried brunch in the morning, good start of the day. Didn't make it to enjoy the gym and swimming pool, but want to stay in it next time visiting Morning.

    « Theives »

I stayed at the Hotel and it seemed amazing for the price, until I received my bill, I wanted to discuss a few charges on my bill such as the holding deposit that wasn't refunded and the charge for breakfast that I never had. When I rang the office I was told theres nothing they could do, email us, the managers isn't here , every excuse under the sun, and yet they still fraudulently charged. All in all I would not stay there or recommend to anyone.

    « Lovely stay »

We recently stayed at this Hotel in a Suite it was lovely very generous size with very good fittings and bedding. the room had everything in it for a very comfortable couple of days stay. it was close to the shops and main street of Mornington also the foreshore. Your car was parked right outside your room making it very convenient. The staff were very helpful and efficient.

    « Value for money »

We stayed at this motel recently for two nights and found it to be clean and comfortable. Parking was at the "front door" of our room. The person on the reception was efficient, helpful and let us into our room early (30 minutes). We had a basic continental breakfast which was not included in the price but was sufficient. We would use the motel again when in the area.

    « Could be better »

Reception staff welcoming. Rooms ok. Cleaning of soft furnishings could be better. Fridge and kettle could do with more attention. Lovely to arrive to room with heater on with cold weather. No room service snacks apart from breakfast and evening dinner service. No coffee maker in room like other BW plus. Room was quiet.

    « Great value »

Stayed in a deluxe King & single. Room spacious with a great little private courtyard and microwave. Gym equipment is a bit dated but pool/spa area great, as was the on site restaurant, Eighteen78. Would definitely stay again.

    « Highly recommended »

I stayed here with my daughter and it was amazing! The restaurant was excellent, room very spacious with a very comfortable large bed. The heated pool and spa meant lots of fun especially in the middle of winter. Also very close and accessible to Mornington and the peninsula. Highly recommended.

    « Very pleased »

Stay was great overall. Staff were friendly and food was delicious, although possibly a little expensive. Parking was easily accessible and plentiful. Only issue was that room service knocked on the neighbour's room at 6am which woke us both up.

    « Excellent Stay Mornington »

Stayed just the one night sadly as the complex accommodation, service etc was excellent. Great value. Spacious clean and tidy king accommodation. Superb dinner at Grand Hotel and very good breakfast at Brooklands before we checked out. Great friendly service.

    « Cheese cheese cheese! »

If you're using public transport this can be a bit fiddly to get to, but once you navigate your way to the front desk it's a great experience! Friendly, helpful staff; clean rooms; peaceful location. Being put in one of the rooms at the far end of the property was great, but wheeling my heavy luggage through their cute, courtyard style walkways in the rain was not a fun thing to do (pavers get slippery in the wet!). My room was very well sized, and included tea and coffee making facilities, along with the mini bar being stocked with free cheese (a surefire way to win my affection). Beds were comfortable, bathroom was huge, and overall things were pretty great. Probably would have had 5 stars from me if the resturant had done lunch as well - was pouring down when I arrived, and as there are no cafes nearby I devoured all my free cheese within a matter of seconds. Did I mention the cheese? I really like cheese.

    « Clean and Spacious »

Was staying in this facility 2 weeks ago. It comes with 1 King and 2 single beds. It was clean and spacious. Most importantly, the toilet has heater. So showering wasn't an issue at all for the children as well as adults. Not only the toilet, the beds were also supplied with heat pads too. It was a pleasant stay for my family.

« Bubbles for wedding anniversary »

Excellent location, close to town but peaceful, with no traffic noise.Reception very helpful and friendly. Room elegant with wonderful bed for a good night's sleep. Very clean with a delightful bathroom. As we were leaving, the following morning, my husband mentioned that it was our wedding anniversary and was promptly given a bottle of bubbly from a nearby winery. Highly recommended.

« 1 night at Best Western Brooklands »

Spacious room and bathroom. All you need for a 1 night stay. Handy to local amenities. Only downside is that a few rooms have allocated car parking away from room door. This is not a problem in fine weather but unfortunately it rained a fair bit during my short stay. Could also be an issue if you need to carry luggage or heavy items.

    « Brilliant once again »

We stay here about four times a year. The rate are very reasonable and the rooms generous. The beds are the best I have ever had on a motel. On top of this the staff are friendly and helpful. Can not fault them. Set away from the main drag it is quiet both day and night

    « Fresh and convenient »

We have stayed at Brooklands of Mornington a number of times now and have found it to be very clean and conveniently close to the town centre. The rooms are a generous size and the gardens create a peaceful atmosphere. The restaurant food is outstanding.

« It's the best best western I've stayed in »

We stayed in a renovated studio room and it was lovely. The room had a small kitchenette meaning you could eat in if you wanted .. But why would you with so many amazing restaurants close by. Nice and close to town. Would come back here for sure. It's raised the bar for my expectations of other Best Westerns now :)

    « mornington getaway »

hotel is nice and clean. service was good although the receptionist made mistakes with the billing - they overcharged but was refunded, took a while for checkout. pool is great for kids - heated and indoors - they loved it. would come back and stay here. the only issue was had was parking - each hotel room has an allocated parking for guests, however, if there is a function in the hotel restaurant, diners park in the allocated spot of the hotel guests room. when we came back after eating dining out, we can't park anywhere because the hotel parking is filled is cars attending restaurant function which is annoying because we were unable to park within the hotel but had to park outside and had to move the car back in front of our room after midnight. I went to the restaurant to advise them to have the car moved but no one bothered to help the hotel guests.

« Good place to stay »

A really good value hotel, excellent wifi reception. The breakfast was amazing but service was slow and the waiteress was consistently delivering incorrect orders to to tables. Other than this, I highly recommend this place.

    « Beautiful property »

Our room is very clean and roomy. The property is beautiful. The spa and swimming pools are great. We can park our car outside our room which is fantastic. The location is great: only three minutes drive to the main road. Very nice stay. Will come back again.

« Great place to stay »

One of the nicest hotels I've stayed at. Great location, within walking distance from Main Street but still quiet. The units are spacious and very quiet. Lots of parking space and free wifi and other perks such as a heated indoor pool and gym. Laundry services are available too and I hear the restaurant next door is one of the best in town.

« Clean, comfortable, great family room »

Only good things to say: - comfortable beds - good choice of pillows - family room spacious and stylish - hot tub in the huge bathroom - big indoor pool with nice spa (both well used by us) - parking outside the door - quiet and private - well equipped and laid out kitchenette - lovely, friendly staff - great location, walk to beach and restaurants We will be back

« Romantic weekend in the perfect location. »

What a beautiful place to stay! The rooms, the grounds and the pool/spa are immaculate and the staff that we met were friendly and helpful with everything we asked - they even managed to get us into the hot springs when it was fully booked! The best part is the location though- a short walk to the Main Street and all the restaurants and also to the beach and esplanade. We were very happy with Brooklands of Mornington as a long weekend getaway for a special occasion and will definitely be back for the most comfortable bed I have slept in.

    « Very cosy »

We had a lovely room with a courtyard out front which was a nice spot to have coffee in the morning with trees all around & filtered sunlight. Also a bonus if you're a smoker as it's only a few steps to the outdoors. The room was clean & cosy. Comfy bed & quality linen. Top spot.

    « Disappointed! »

We stayed a couple of nights at this motel and found it to be quiet and well located. The room was comfortable with a large King Bed - unfortunately the bed offered a poor nights sleep as we constantly disturbed each other every time we moved. We had three interactions with reception staff and were unimpressed on two occasions. At check-in the staff member was OK - pleasant and helpful. When we returned to our room (which was right down at the bottom of the motel) on the second day our key did not work. I rang reception and was told that I had to take the key back to reception to be re-programmed. My husband had gone out with the car after dropping me off and as I was recovering from knee surgery the week before I really struggled to walk up to reception! When I explained the limitation with my knee the staff member proceeded to tell me that she had previously "broken" her knee in 2 places. There was no apology or explanation as to why the key did not work. When I asked I was told it happens when you put the key near credit cards or a mobile (neither of which we had done) At check-out I paid and left and then returned when I thought that I had been undercharged! I had forgotten that I had actually paid for the room itself online. We then asked about reimbursement of the ??50 bond we were required to pay on check-in. Ultimately, the issue was resolved but it was difficult for us to understand the system. The staff member we dealt with was exasperated with us and talked over the top of us. I ended up walking out as I found her rude - my husband persevered and got the invoice/receipt that we asked for. Overall this was a shame as it clouded our perceptions and experience. The staff at breakfast were pleasant and other staff we encountered were polite and customer focussed.

    « Unexpected pleasure »

Only one night on a deal and we could not fault the experience. The commitment of the management was evident right from the start. Very welcoming, informative and professional. Room was well designed, spacious, attractive, adequately appointed and very clean. Great stuff.

« Our stay in Mornington »

The hotel certainly met our needs as a central point to travel around the Mornington Peninsular. We had a room with a kitchenette which was very useful when we didn't want to eat out. We also had a small yard attached though didn't use that to any great extent. Overall it was a very good place to stay and we enjoyed it.

    « Easy »

We booked in for two nights and found the room comfortable and spacious. We had a lovely little courtyard area and also a corner spa. Having read mixed reviews we were concerned about our stay but we needed not to have worried. Due to a day time function we needed to attend we couldn't afford the time to go down to the cafes for breakfast and had to have room service. Well what a delight! The food was simply beautiful and very well priced. Get the big breakfast (brooklands breakfast?) and don't skip the orange juice! The following morning we did go to the cafes for breakfast and definately regretted it. We also had dinner in the room one night but the menu was extremely limiting, really only offering snacks which was surprising given the wonderful reviews we had heard about their restaurant. Each morning we also enjoyed the complimentary newspapers - is this the only place that doesn't charge?? All the staff were very friendly and we would definately stay there again as there was honestly nothing to complain about.

« Fantastic hotel and base for touring the Mornington Peninsula »

This hotel is in a great location, central to touring the Mornington Peninsula. The hotel has good facilities including a pool, spa and restaurant. The rooms are well presented and kitted out and such good value. The room had a king bed and a single, big screen TV, a little dining table, extra cutlery and crockery and a great shower! It was great that the hotel provided bowls, plates and cutlery as well as wine and water glasses. It enabled us to self cater breakfast, as well as have a drink from wine we had purchased that day! We had a room right at the back of the complex, but most of the rooms seem to be set back off the road. The reception staff were lovely. We also used room service from a limited (but adequate room service menu) range and the food was delivered hot and fairly promptly. Overall this hotel offers everything you want in a touring hotel, especially a comfortable bed and a bit of space to relax! Will definitely stay here next time we come to Mornington and will stay longer next time!

    « Excellent »

Staff are friendly, rooms really well appointed, large and clean. Very good value for money. Even extra coffee for those like me who need more than 1 in the morning. Position is great with a 5 minute walk to main st. The grounds are shaded by large trees so great place on those summer days. Pool is well maintained and even a gym to cater to you fitness junkies. Overall about average accomodation.

« Awesome Location and Great Staff »

Hubby and I stayed here about 6 years ago and only realised when we checked in that it was the same spot! We didn't recognise it from the photos online. The hotel has had a facelift since our last visit and it's much more comfortable than we remembered. The staff were incredibly friendly and the hotel is in a great location. It's very close to the local Mornington area and is a great base for all of the usually touristy activities. We would definitely stay here again. If you do happen to stay here - do yourself a favour and eat at Eighteen78. The food is incredible!

    « Location, Location, Location. »

Most would find this very very comfortable. Close to many restaurants and shopping within walking distance. The location is quiet although only 400m from Nepean Highway. The kitchenette was great. The staff pleasant and helpful. Great indoor pool and Gym. Guest laundry $5 wash and free dryer. Would stay again.

« Comfortable and well appointed »

The Best Western chain is sometimes a bit of a lottery, but you can stay at this hotel without hesitation. Traditional motel set up, but with the rooms set around a leafy campus with an excellent black CB for functions and a classy restaurant. The one draw back is it is a little way from the shops and the beach area, so either a fifteen minute walk or a quick dash by car or taxi. Plus is an excellent laundry with speedy drying machine!

    « Lovely setting, clean & friendly »

We stayed for 2 nights while we played golf around Mornington with a group of friends. The staff greeted us in a welcoming, friendly manner; the rooms were spacious and clean and the bed enormous & comfortable. We believe the restaurant is excellent but the group decided on a cheaper option in town. It's in a great location with an easy 10 minute walk to the Main Street. The rooms have a sink, kettle and eating utensils which was very handy. Although we didn't use it the pool looked very inviting. There was no traffic noise .... we were in a back unit.

    « Great stay »

We stayed for 4 nights in a family room - clean and spacious, everything worked as it should and the pool is wonderful - friendly staff - wouldn't hesitate to book here again and the location is an easy walking distance to the Main Street in Mornington

    « Totally relaxing »

I enjoyed staying here overnight on Good Friday prior to catching up with some friends for Easter. The staff at reception were professional and friendly. The surroundings at the motel were beautiful with lovely garden surroundings which were very attractive and also helped create an atmosphere of privacy. My deluxe spa suite was very generously proportioned with a king size bed and an outdoor courtyard out the back. I also enjoyed some tasty room service from the onsite restaurant, eighteen78. My only quibble was the TV reception - there were some channels not available and I wasn't able to watch channel Gem. However, the spa was totally refreshing and I slept like a baby. Overall, I was impressed.

« Enjoyed Brooklands for a short break »

Great setting, gardens, restaurant. Plenty of elbow room in in unit. Pleasant friendly service. Staff very ready to answer questions and provide assistance. Clean and well serviced. Unusually quiet! Our stay was reasonably priced for level of comfort. Would definitely return if visiting Mornington Peninsula.

    « 3 Days by the sea »

Stayed at best Western Plus Brooklands of Mornington. What a paradise to be found down by the beach. Stayed 3 nights in the largest room ever, full facilities, very comfy beds and surrounded by beautiful gardens which made it feel very tropical. The pool and spa were amazing and despite full occupancy found that we were the ones using the facilities to full advantage. Staff were very polite and helpful and breakfast was delicious. Plenty to see and do on the peninsula and only a short drive to get there. Enjoyed going to local movies, shops and restaurants.

« Stop looking for accommodation in Mornington. You found it »

Wow! We were greeted with very welcoming staff who were very helpful and concerned about making our stay comfortable. The rooms are large and clean with everything you need. The location is very quiet and perfect if you have children. The pool is amazing! Room service menu is very limited but the breakfast at the restaurant should not be missed. One of Mornington's best kept secrets.

« Nice part of the world! »

We recently spent two nights here while enjoying a short stay on the peninsula. It is about 1 km from the centre of town so for us not quite walking distance. The room was large and comfortable and very private with a small courtyard outside the door. The bathroom could do with updating! The facility had what appeared to be a very nice indoor swimming pool but unfortunately we did not have a chance to use it. We appeared to obtain a good deal but the 'rack price" may make it a tad expensive.

« Family friendly, centrally located, comfortable accomodation »

Accomodation is comfortable and value for money. Deluxe family rooms (either 2 singles with Queen, or King and single) are perfect for family accommodation - large bathrooms, with or without bath, whichever you prefer. They provided crib/cot for infant too. The location is central to most attractions, local eateries and cafes, and a short walk to the beach. Also available, indoor pool, making swimming all year around possible - great for entertaining the kids. Best of all, the accommodation is attached to a high quality restaurant for breakfast and dinner. There is also a simple in room selection of food. Highly recommend the wine matching for the Chef's Choice dining - experience local produce together with local wines. Overall, good value for money, comfortable and family friendly accomodation.

    « Comfortable »

I travel on business constantly living in hotels, this was very reasonable for the price paid. Bright open suite type room was very clean. I made it just in time before front desk closes! That would have been uncomfortable for me not knowing routine of hotel/motel yes this is defiantly a motel. Very good wifi hook up & large open bathroom with all necessities. Parking in front of your door unless your on second floor, so if you have trouble with stairs ensure you request ground floor, no lift. All the amenities you would want, fitness room adequate, pool was decent located next to lobby. Easy to find off main road into Mornington, 3 minutes from anywhere in town you want to get. Has restaurant associated for breakfast, found closed every evening I returned, was told by to order room service if was hungry. Ok not open but can order room service, visible customers eating inside yet door locked. If they didn't answer phone just call reception they would place order, just found that odd. Would defiantly choose again if I was to return to area on business, not sure I would if for vacation.

    « Disappointing »

The location of the motel was in a quiet area some 15 minutes walk from the town centre. The room was large and comfortable but as regard to cleanliness lacked in this field. Firstly we had to ask reception to come to our room on arrival and remove a beetle. Don't know how often the room was cleaned but not enough and finally as for the swimming pool which for a motel was an added bonus the pool surrounds were disgusting. Looks as if they had never been attended too. Very disappointing.

« Excellent resting place with the lot »

Together with 4 other couples we stayed here from 2 nights and all creature comforts were met. Our rooms had comfy king size beds with big bathrooms and all the trimmings plus a lovely courtyard where we could gather and enjoy ourselves. We dined in the restaurant and enjoyed a wonderful 5 course dinner and wines at such reasonable prices. The hotel had a indoor pool and spa and this was great to be able to use. The hotel is positioned well also.

    « Should be Cleaner »

Don't be misled. This is a motel not a hotel. You park your car outside motel rooms. Ours was dark and dismal with a large king sized bed. The worst aspect was the stains on the carpet. Don't they see them? Don't they have a carpet cleaner? Don't they care? In addition paint was flaking from a skirting board and to the left of the window coffee stains ordained the wall. It is a few days since we stayed and no doubt these are still there. If the hotel manager wants to do something about it and reads this, it is room 13.

    « Short enjoyable stay »

We booked a one night stay at this place and really enjoyed our stay. The room was spacious and clean. They also have a nice swimming pool. The hotel is in a good location. You can either walk or a short drive to the town centre and the beach. Great hotel!

    « Nice enough but.... »

First off the bat, great service, nice location with quiet well kept rooms. However, I found the bed to be really lumpy and not at all comfortable. The Bathroom hairdryer makes more noise than anything else, and is it me or is it odd that the showers are not enclosed and water goes pretty much all over the floor.

« Good motel style accomodation »

The Room was clean, well appointed, was larger than anticipated & had a nice powerful shower. Our only disappointment was being denied our Best Western loyalty points as the room was booked via a well known internet booking agency. I pointed out that in the U.K., agency bookings attract the loyalty points but to no avail. I will be taking this matter up with their senior Management team in the near future

« Comfortable bed, great toiletries »

This hotel room was one of the most comfortable I've stayed in. The King sized bed was incredibly comfortable and the toiletries supplied were of a great quality (I typically use my own as I find them to be watered down and low quality). The hotel also made every effort to accommodate our late arrival. Great job! Would certainly stay here again

    « Better than Expected »

Weren't sure what to expect, but the complex was very well laid out and attractive. Staff were friendly and their pool was a welcome distraction. Would have no hesitation in recommending them and staying there again in the future.

    « Nice hotel »

Nice hotel with pool and jacuzzi Very helpful staff Minus's No where to sit out states Airport Shuttle and it's not there is a private bus shuttle service that covers all of Mornington as well as other pick ups on route but does not run 24/7 for me to use this I would have had to go to the next town last pick up was 4.45pm sit on the bus a couple of hours and arrive at the airport 6 hours early

    « Lovely motel accomodation »

Having checked out of early from a disappointing hotel at St Kilda this was a breath of fresh air for our final night in Australia. Each room has its own parking spot and ours, 22, had a patio with a pleasant outlook onto trees bushes etc. The room itself was spacious with coombed ceiling, very large comfortable bed, fridge, tv etc. No cooking facility but sink and cutlery, plates available. Nice roomy bathroom, lots of big towels. There is a restaurant attached for evening meals and breakfast but we didn't make use of that so can't comment. A heated indoor swimming pool also available for guests. A pleasant stay in a very nice seaside town with a good beach with facilities. Would recommend.

    « Value for money »

Friendly check in. We had a maintenance problem with our first room but were moved to a much better & quieter room (no 17) & staff made great efforts to make up for this initial disappointment. Good house-keeping team & friendly breakfast staff. Nice to have breakfast cooked to order & served to us, rather than luke warm & self service like in many hotels. Nice bed & linen and kitchenette was simple buy very useful. We didn't have a car but got here easily from the airport using Frankston & Peninsular Airport Shuttle, then travelled to Sorento & Portsea by bus 788 (hourly service - $3.20) for two really great days out. Bus 788, opposite direction then took us to Frankston for train to Melbourne.

« clean rooms with great service »

Room was exactly as advertised. Welcomed by extremely helpful staff at reception. Very comfortable and relaxing stay. generous sized room and bathroom. Very comfortable bed that provided an excellent sleep. Definitely recommend for well priced accomodation.

« My magical wedding at Brooklands of Mornington »

Brooklands of Mornington was a beautiful place to celebrate our wedding reception. The room was perfectly set to our specifications. The space was the perfect size to accommodate our 70 guests for a cocktail party. Our appointed wedding coordinator, Lauren, was very thorough and communicated with us in the months leading up to the day to ensure we had a perfect experience. The food was delicious, especially the gorgeous dessert platters of petit fours all prepared by Chef E. The facilities were perfect, we had access to a room to freshen up in prior to our entry, doors opened out into a court yard which was great for our guests to wander, we had easy access to the bar and toilets, we had a choice of a dance floor and could choose the size, the use of a microphone and stand as well as easy to use music system. Brooklands had a large choice of different vases, candles, mirrors, sashes, etc we could chose from when working out the styling for our room. Brooklands also decorated the room with some flowers from their own grounds in our white and green colouring. Their close proximity to the beach (end of the street), meant we were able to have some beach photos without having to travel a distance. We are grateful to Brooklands for accommodating to some last minute additions for our day. The day ran perfectly - thanks to Brooklands for all that they did to make our day beautiful and seamless. I can strongly recommend their venue.

    « Very Good Hotel »

The hotel rooms are fantastic large comfortable beds well equipped kitchen area, the only down thing is the shower area which is not a wet room and when you shower water goes everywhere. We asked reception how far to the beach and was there places to eat there after a day's travelling from Port Fairy, it's a 10 minute walk fro the hotel straight down the hill and there are the restaurant, This was so wrong it was 20 minutes walk to the Esplanade and the 10 minutes back to Main st. If you get a town map from the hotel head for Main St, 10 minute walk to the top end were there are a selection of places to eat.

    « Exceeded Expectations »

Our family stayed here as a base to explore Mornington's attractions. I was pleasantly surprised at the size of the rooms and bathroom..definitely generous. Kitchenette was well stocked (our toaster however didn't work but we just borrowed the one from the next room). What I especially liked is that if you hire two adjacent rooms, they have a foyer with a shared front door. This is handy for families as you can leave your room doors open and still have privacy from the corridor. We used the foyer area as our drying rack after swimming. Shower area only has a small glass divider so when taking a shower, do expect most of the bathroom floor to get soaked. Indoor pool and spa was well maintined. Do note that it is next to the reception desk so as guests check in they have a view of you doing your laps. Overall, definitely would recommend this place and would stay again.

« Reasonably priced, well located »

Reasonably priced motel, simple but adequate rooms. No Foxtel in the rooms but has a DVD player to keep the kids occupied and WiFi included. Restaurant seemed quite popular but didn't get a chance to try. Unused simple gym, and has a heated indoor pool which was quite useful on rainy days or after a day at the beach.

« Fawlty towers dinner and show »

This is so much in demand, we had to book tickets in August to get to see it last night. Hilarious - will be an understatement! The choice of actors was perfect, they are a perfect copy of the original - with only one comment "Manuel" doesn't actually speak any Spanish... The food was nice too and the seating comfortable. I am adding some pictures to tell the story better than I can in words... My wife, found a denture in her soup... We asked for another spoon, Mr Fawlty brought a whole bunch and dropped them on the table... Highly recommended, if you can get tickets

« A Comfortable Location For A Successful Business Retreat »

Stayed here as part of a company planning retreat. They took great care of our group. The rooms were clean and open, beds very comfortable to sleep in. The conference rooms were set up nicely, with lots of staff checking in on our needs, they provided continental breakfast, a light lunch, tea & coffee, refreshments through out the day. Staff were available and eager to answer any special requests. For dinner, we ate at the in house restaurant Eighteen78 which was an incredible dining experience with a six course meal prepared by their master chef. We were particularly appreciative of the fact that they opened it up on a Monday night (usually their day off) just for our group to be able to dine there. We had a wonderful evening full of good food and laughs and I was especially impressed with our chef's ability to adapt delicious vegan versions of all the dishes he created on the spot, due to one of our members having dietary restrictions. The cozy bar provided an intimate setting for socializing and relaxing at the end of the night, and the bar staff's hospitality and warmth left us all in a great mood. At check out we were given plenty of attention and assistance, consistent with the treatment through out the entire two days we occupied the motel. Parking was never an issue for our group, as there were plenty of spaces in the car park with access right in front of the rooms. Pool and spa were clean and easy to access and we were able enjoy the beach, just a short walk down the street. I will definitely return to this Best Western and I confidently recommend it. Be sure to try out the local ale and the wine list which is superb as well!

« Nice hotel but avoid restaurant »

Nice hotel. A bit difficult getting luggage into room due to curbing. Restaurant staff unprofessional and food less than average. Avoid breakfast - rip off and continental has no supplies. All other staff were excellent

    « New Years Eve »

Stayed here for New Years Eve. The room was excellent plenty of room and very clean. We attended the New Years function The Time Travellers Ball. An excellent night the swing band was fantastic great food and a wonderful atmosphere ???????? A memorial night which we will attend again.

    « Birthday treat »

My wife booked a room for us on my birthday about 4 months prior due to the high demand down here over the christmas and new year holiday period. We had not stayed here before and will certainly return. We were given a free upgrade upon check in which included a spa bath in the bathroom. The room featured a king size bed and a cosy little courtyard at the rear. The hotel itself is set amongst some very nice trees and gardens. Check in was easy and friendly. The rooms were very comfortable, the spa bath was very big and relaxing. A little noise from a courtyard next to us but didn't hear anything come time to sleep. Check out quick and easy and a slightly later check out. A very nice hotel and would definitely return

    « Beautiful ! »

Recently stayed here with my partner. We got the romance package plus the stay and bathe package! They were both perfect! Rooms a clean, comfortable and very spacious! We be back for sure! Highly recommend you book the hot springs before going! They were also great!!

    « Disappointing »

On arrival, the room looked spectacular, after visiting my brothers room, there were a lot is spiders and spiderwebs. Through out the night. I was bitten by something in the bed and in the morning, a cockroach crawled out from the bed. They were very slow in releasing the bond back to the credit card. And after leaving 2 items in the room, they said the would send them by post..... Still waiting. I left feedback on a survey they emailed me and all I received back was a generic email apologizing that the stay was not to my satisfaction. I would have expected more from a renowned chain.

« Great place close to everything »

We stayed here for two nights and loved it. You could walk to the shops or a very short drive. Great accommodation, big room and everything you need on hand. Very clean and modern. Really quiet location.

« Nice and comfortable with good location and a heated pool and spa, free wifi available »

We are very happy that we stay in this hotel, it has the indoor heated poorly and a jet spa. The staff is friendly and the room is in good size, we stay in no. 34, and it is a microwave and a min sink, it comes handy when you don't feel like going out for breakfast or lunch. The cafe (1878) makes nice coffee, and the setting is very neat and classic. We will come back again for sure....

    « Great Time Out »

Big, spacious, well appointed rooms, car parking by the room's front door, very quiet, comfortable bed and having the spa was an added relaxing bonus. Really enjoyed the restaurant on site which was very convenient, with great food and service. Well done. Would happily return when next on the Mornington Peninsular.

    « weekend away »

We have been often to this place as it is only an hour from home. It's a short distance but when you're there you really feel like you're away from the troubles of the world, work etc. Peaceful, cosy and clean. Relaxing walks along the beach, out for breaky, a look at the shops or a quiet read on the porch.

    « Highly recommended! »

Excellent amenities all around except poor lighting on the bed tables.Great(big!)television screen!Very good bathroom, suited for a 4 star hotel. King size bed with very comfortable sheet,so soft.Highly recommended. And a big bonus, very quiet!

    « Great sized room »

We stayed here for a friends wedding, the room was large and we had a king bed which was great. The room had everything we needed. The room smelled of bleach on check in. It was clean. It had a little table and chairs by the front entry which was handy to sit in the sun. We upgraded to have a cooked breakfast in the morning which was terrible! We did have free wifi which is always a bonus.

    « Pleasant 4 star with outstanding 1878 restaurant »

Lovely & peaceful stay with outstanding 1878 in-house restaurant. Positioned around 1km from the bay, less to the main shopping strip. The standard rooms are spacious with small kitchenette (sink but no cooking), bathroom & separate toilet, reverse cycle air con, electric blankets, lcd. These rooms surround a pleasant shady courtyard come carpark. The smaller studio rooms are located in a 2 level block to the side and not a part of the shady courtyard. Hot breakfast was great. Mattresses firm, Pillows not soft or fluffy.

« Comfy beds lovely location »

Very friendly staff on arrival, even when the phone kept ringing as the lady was on her own and the lady in the evening for a meal who served us was exceptional. lovely views over the harbour, when having your breakfast and lunch evening meal. The room was good and clean and the position of the room was not overlooked.

« Surprised at the accommodations. »

The rooms were spacious, clean and in a lovely setting. The property was well kept and the staff were friendly. The restaurant next door, 1878, was outstanding. I had breakfast (wonderful pastries) and a fantastic dinner. The chef prepares an individual 3, 5, or 7 course dinner tailored to your taste. Make a reservation when you book (5 stars). A short walk or drive to the water.

« Great value and very helpful staff »

My wife and I recently spent 3 nights at this excellent property in Mornington. We booked directly with the hotel and this was efficient as was check in. We had a spacious room with king bed, small kitchenette, small courtyard and clean and spacious bathroom. All amenities functioned well. Unfortunately my wife was acutely unwell for 24 hours and we had to stay in our room, but the staff were terrific and very helpful throughout. Nothing was too much trouble. We had hoped to eat at the highly recommended adjacent restaurant but this was not to be due to illness....must make a reservation if you want to eat there. Complimentary newspapers and wifi provided. Close to centre of town by car and a 20 minute walk. Very comfortable and highly recommended.

Staff insisted that they had no more rooms available and charged me full rate, double checked to find there were in fact multiple rooms available (lack of cars and activity around confirmed this) and same rooms were available at 60% of the rate I was charged. Next door neighbours had been partying all day and starting getting into drunken arguments by 6pm. I left it until 830 and decided to alert reception. Reception essentially did nothing and it was back on in 15 minutes. It continued until 3am at which point reception was closed, security were unresponsive and cops had to be called and i had to step in (husband and wife, getting physical). Spoke to reception, blatantly denied rooms were available and rates were lower even after showing physical evidence / screenshots on my phone, offered a very insincere apology regarding constant noise and lack of safety for its residents, simple stated that a manager would call but quickly moved onto asking me what I had from the minibar and that my card would be charged until a manager called or reviewed the situation. Manager never called, card charged full amount, still no bond returned after room left spotless. Poor customer service + don't take your family here. They don't place value on safety.

« Friendly staff, outstanding restaurant. »

Clean quiet room. Friendly helpful staff and an outstanding restaurant experience . Dinning experience with surprise 5 course meal with food front different countries orchestrated by Chef E was outstanding.

« Quality quiet clean and very comfortable. »

Friendly staff, Really lovely room, clean fresh linen and towels. The bed was so comfortable, It was wonderfully quiet and peaceful. Great bathroom. I really enjoyed my stay, I really appreciated the comfortable clean room. Thank you.

    « Fantastic Bed!! »

The rooms are spacious and well appointed, but the best thing was the bed.......super comfortable. They have ground floor units available but we were on the first floor which was great. They have a pool (which we didn't try), but the restaurant "1878" is fantastic!!

    « Lovely Staff & great hotel »

My husband and I spent the whole day at Peninsula Hot Spring and stayed here for the night which was around 30 mins drive back from the hot spring. The hotel was very nice, clean and the bed was comfortable. The staff were so polite and friendly. The food at their restaurant, Eighteen 78 was very good too. Highly recommended.

    « A hidden gem »

What a lovey hotel. I didnt expect to be so suprised by this place but I was. I was visiting my father so needed a place to stay. A soon as I walked in I was impressed. The grounds are lovely and rooms are beautifully appointed. The bed was large and comfy and the room was spacious. Free wifi was plus. Breakfast in the restaurant was plentiful and delicious and I highly recommend the eggs benidict. Over all a great hotel with lovely staff.

    « Overnight Stopover »

We stayed in the King room, the room was huge and the bed was comfy. It had a courtyard at the front of the room with a table and chairs and had the weather been nicer would have been quite pleasant sitting out there. The surroundings were nice with well established gardens and trees and very peaceful. We booked through and paid a great price for this room. Worth staying there if in the area.

« Lost my booking but resolved seamlessly »

Had a quick overnight business stay here and arrived after 9pm to find my booking had been mysteriously cancelled earlier in the day - even though the account had been pre-paid that afternoon. Thank you to the excellent receptionist who booked me into another room, Comfortable bed, nice and dark and plenty of space.

« Comfortable but a few improvements will help »

Located in fairly quiet street.Nicely appointed room, but only limited to 5 free to air tv channels; not full digital, no Foxtel. Breakfast menu very limited. Staff are very courteous but appear to be overworked. Close to main shops and beaches.

    « Great beds »

We have stayed here before and the bed was just as comfy as our last visit. Rooms are spacious & our room (13) had a lovely outdoor sitting area which is screened off from neighbouring guest rooms. The room was clean and well presented. Leave your car and walk. Just around the corner from all the action in Main Street and a leisurely 10-15 minute stroll to the beach. Free wifi with a GOOD reception/signal. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. Recommended .

« The staff make the difference »

This is a good hotel, well located with good-size rooms-- certainly in the wing with room numbers in the 40-plus (We didn't stay in the wing with the lower numbers -- in the 20s -- so we can't speak for them. Ask for a studio. We spent a week at the hotel house-hunting for our impending return to Melbourne after an interstate absence of 18 years. We had to return to the Mornington Peninsula for another week later in the month, so we chose to stay at Brooklands again. We like this hotel because we like the staff. The hotel is so well-run, thanks to the enthusiasm of the manager, Marreck Head, who's been at Brooklands for around a year. We hope he stays there because he's created such a positive buzz. His team are great -- efficient reception, friendly and competent cleaning staff, and we particularly like the breakfast team -- an American we called Miss California and three delightful South Americans -- Maria from Chile, another Maria from Venezuela and her partner. The continental breakfasts are good, with freshly cut fruit served in individual jars and good barista service. Another big plus are the evening meals offered five nights a week (which we will review separately). The hotel is well-placed -- close to the Main Street shops and the beaches, but in a quiet location.

« We always enjoy our stay »

Great hotel/motel. Very clean and good sized rooms. The staff are always friendly and helpful. Great central location yet away from the madding crowd. They have good package deals that include breakfast too. The indoor pool is a benefit no matter what the weather is like and the restaurant has superb food and a great atmosphere. If you are visiting Mornington I can highly recommend Brooklands

    « Good hotel »

The hotel has large rooms that are well appointed. The staff are friendly and helpful and the restaurant is excellent and good value. The quibbles were that the cleaning wasn't quite as good as it should be and the wine prices were high, except for the house wines which were ordinary at best.

    « Pure delight »

Well located in Tanti Avenue and only a short walk to the beach and Main Street. The rooms are large and well appointed. Bathroom is spotlessly clean with shower products provided. We keep returning to this Best Western chain because they do it so well here. This was the third time we have stayed here and each time we have had different rooms in the different sections, the last one being in the newly released section. Pay an extra $10.00 for the room and $7.00 each for a full cooked breakfast which is great value for money and you get to sit in the beautiful restaurant to boot. The gardens are manicured and the whole site is simply delightful. You can see the effort that goes into presenting a venue like this. Great indoor pool too. Highly recommend this place without reservation

    « Excellent Hotel »

The hotel was very well set out and maintained. Our room was well away from the road which made it very quiet.Rooms were a good size and very tastefully decorated and very clean. The staff were very helpful. The Hotel was very well located to what we needed in Mornington. There were lots of gardens and trees which made it very peaceful. Having a small courtyard area in front of our room which had screens made it very private. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

    « Brooklands of Mornington »

Always a pleasure to stay at Brooklands in Mornington as the quality and facilities are excellent. It is well located and is the only motel with an indoor pool and gym that I know of in the area as well as a fine dining room.
