    « Golf »

Corse is scenic but disappointing. Greens are pitiful. Fairways are ok but not for the price they charge to play. We usually drive an hour one way and play here once a week. We thought last year was just because of the flooding that the greens were in bad shape but that's not the case. Have been playing here for two years and they have yet to improve the greens. The grass dies t even cover them.

    « Absolutely Gorgeous! »

Beautiful and tranquil area. If you are a golfer, fisherman, or hiker, this is the place for you. Or if you just want to sit out on the patio and enjoy a book and a cold beverage, this is the perfect spot to take in the scenery and wildlife!!

« One night stay at Cypress Bend Resort. »

This hotel has always been beyond our expectations till now. The room was filled with dead gnats on the freshly made bed and furniture. We brushed off the bed and had housekeeping clean the furniture. If you stay here request the 2nd or third floor. The first floor allows to much noise from upper floors.

    « Gem!!! »

Great hotel, great location. Remote, very quiet, beautiful views. Immaculately clean hotel. A gem located at Toledo Bend! Planning to return to enjoy the spa and some fishing. Pool was very inviting. Tastefully decorated.

« Great Place to Get Away »

I had a bass tournament on Toledo Bend and needed a place to stay. When the family decided they wanted to join me, I looked for a nicer place to offer them to stay. We really enjoyed our time here. The rooms were nice, the lobby was beautiful, and the views overlooking the lake and golf course were amazing. We'll definitely consider going back.

    « anniversary weekend »

My husband and I came for our 2nd anniversary. We had such a great weekend. This is our second time staying here and the staff is always so nice. I made sure to get Teesa's name in the social room. She is always so helpful and sweet. There is also a guy named Garret that helped a lot. Will definitely come back again because of them!

« Luxury on the Bend »

This is our 3rd stay here on Toledo Bend and we wouldn't stay anywhere else. Played the golf course for the 1st time and it was wet from all the rain and took a little longer because it was cart path only, but the course is challenging and scenic at the same time. Also caught 10 fish on Toledo Bend! Will be back!

    « Business/Personal stay at the Resort »

Overall, my wife and I were pleased with our stay Cypress Bend Resort. I had a business meeting at the Wildwood Resort that I traveled to each of 4 mornings, since Wildwood didn't have handicap accessible roll in showers such as what you have at Cypress Bend. I can tell you that your Resort is very comfortable and beautiful, far better than that other place. My wife enjoyed the Quesadillas in your restaurant and told me the service was wonderful. My only negative was that it took 20-25 minutes to get warm water to take a shower or shave, so my wife and I only showered 1 time each over our 4 days there.

    « Beautiful Resort »

We stayed at the resort for 2 nights, it's definitely a beautiful and peaceful place with a great staff, who was always available and greeted us with a pleasant smile daily. Every staff member was very pleasant and helpful. The golf course was beautiful, the dining room was nice and served delicious chicken quesadillas, social room was nice, So many great qualities to name at this resort ,so I'll just stop here lol. Now for the one thing which may have just been us, the bed was very hard but with all the other wonderful qualities this resort has that's definitely not a deal breaker .We will be returning!!! Thank You Cypress Bend Resort for extending your great hospitality!!!! We wish you all great happiness, well see you soon :)

    « Christmas Getaway »

Stayed three days over Christmas, the staff at the hotel was great, the food in the restaurant was good and the staff at the golf course was exceptional. The room left a lot to be desired, the light over the hallway sounded like a B52 coming in for a landing could not use it at all, it took 20 minutes to get hot water to the bath and the ice maker on the 3rd floor did not work at all.

    « An Amazing Resort! »

We loved Cypress Bend Resort from the time we got there until we left. Since it was Christmastime the lobby was decorated beautifully with 5 Christmas trees. We ate in the restaurant three different times and thought the food was excellent! We were not sure if the restaurant would be open on Christmas day but it was and many families were there. We had two very helpful and friendly waitresses named Mary and Alex. We tried the Spinach Salad with hot bacon dressing, the Cheeseburger, the Chef Salad and the gumbo. For breakfast we each had the Traditional Breakfast of eggs, potatoes or grits, bacon, ham or pattie sausage. Everything we tried was delicious! Our room was spacious with a refrigerator, coffeemaker and the bathroom had 2 sinks. The bed was extremely comfortable with 5 pillows and the room was very clean. There was a beautiful bar decorated with dark wood with a pool table right outside. If you take your family to Cypress Bend, there are many tables in which to play games on so don't forget your favorite games. The resort also has an outside and inside pool. My husband used the workout room and said that it was really up-to-date. The grounds are kept very nicely! Cypress Bend is cozy and quiet. We hope to return soon!

    « Toledo bend »

Nice place , too cold to golf but a beautiful course. Can't wait to go back and fish next trip. Beautiful view of the lake, had a upstairs room with aprivate patio outside. The bar menu was great. Would stay again.

    « Nice getaway »

We were greeted by Cassie at the front desk. She was very kind and helpful. We enjoyed our family weekend getaway. We even had breakfast with Santa! Looking forward to coming back again soon. Very friendly staff.

    « Toledo Bend »

We stayed at Cypress Bend Resort recently, The property is in an excellent location, very friendly staff and food is good in the restaurant and lounge. Staff is very helpful and the grounds are kept up very well.

    « Hidden Gem »

While driving to this resort I was really upset that it was further than what was indicated on the booking site; however, when I arrived I was taken back by the beauty of the resort. I arrived after dark so it was lit up for the Christmas Season and was beautiful. Upon waking in the morning I was able to see the beauty of the resort grounds and had a chance to walk around before leaving. This resort truly is a hidden gem in Many, Louisiana.

« Peaceful Place in the Woods »

The rooms are large and very clean. We stayed in a Suite with a full kitchen. The grounds are beautiful and inpecablly well kept. The restaurant on the resort is great. A wide selection and great service. our stay was during the Christmas Holidays and the lobby decorations were a great surprise.

« Excellent get away for any couple, quite ,secluded ,clean and super friendly staff. It was a much needed getaway. »

Great get away for any couple wanting beautiful views, friendly staff, and relaxation. The grounds were lovely and the down time was amazing. There was a restaurant on site and the spa and heated pool was a big plus.

    « staff very helpful »

had some issues with the room, they made all efforts to resolve them we came to a resolution for both of us. will go back again hoping that the issues have been corrected at this bestwestern hotel. very nice area to stay lots of wildlife to see.

« Nice hotel with great views »

hotel was nice but what made this place stand out were the views of the golf course and Toledo Bend Lake. already planning for a return visit to this hidden gem. will stay and play golf on my next visit. if you like eating fast food every day this is not the place for you as it is about 15 miles from fast food restaurants. loved this place and can't wait to return.

    « Incredible Experience »

From the moment we arrived at Cypress Bend it was an Incredible Experience!! The entire staff is amazing and super friendly. The accommodations are wonderful and the restaurant is such an unexpected treat! We can't wait to return to Cypress Bend Resort.

    « Like a time share stay. »

Only stayed 2 nights. This resort was the closest to my Grandmothers house in Texas. Flew into Shreveport and drove to the resort in a rental car. Make sure you go to the food and liquor store in Shreveport because this is limited smaller stores around Many, LA. The suite we had reminded me of a timeshare. Checked in at the main hotel but our suites were located across the golf checkin. We were on the second floor which there was an elevator. The second floor had a small rec room with a pool table. The suite had a full kitchen and dining table and living room with a fireplace. Bedroom with 2 queen beds and a bathroom plus a vanity/sink in the hall. Look like at one time there was a stackable washer and dryer. It was great to have the family meet at the resort. The resort had a great view of the lake with rocking chairs. Indoor/outdoor pool and hot tub and exercise room was there but we didn't have time to use. There was a restaurant that we didn't use but had a full bar with tv's. Can't say I would be back but, if I was to go to no mans land again, I would defiantly stay there!

« Retreat on the lake »

Great get-away...but really a get-away. Off the beaten path. Lovely landscaping. Newly refreshed carpeting/decor. Clean and spacious room. Good mattress. Lighted makeup mirror in room a plus! Restaurant, bar, and golf pro shop café, so choices for dining on site, all with nice views. Sunset on the patio overlooking lake. If staying in hotel, ask for odd-numbered rooms for lakeside view. Good golf course with very good rates. Hilly and set in natural forest, with some holes lakeside and a few over-water shots. Challenging but not overly difficult.

« Great place to unwind »

I have been staying at this resort many years and love the atmosphere along with the golf course . Tucked away in the pinney woods of north Louisiana it is a treasure just waiting to be discovered. No need to leave once you are there as all ammendies are offered. Younwill not be disappointed

« Cypress Bend Golf Resort »

I stayed here as part of a wedding party. It was the first time I had stayed at this hotel. I was impressed by the staff and the facility. The staff went out of their way to make sure that we felt welcomed and that everything went well.

    « Great Stay »

Stayed here while visiting family in Many. Really enjoyed our stay. Golf course was in nice shape. If you are looking for a really nice hotel with beautiful views check this place out. The room was large and well appointed.

    « Golf Outing »

Great job by all at the resort, Our golf outing was a great success and the course location is a cut above. Outstanding facility and service, always there to make it a great vacation. I would recommend the resort to all.

« In the middle of nowhere »

It takes a long time to get to. The drive is worth it. Beautiful terrace with view of Toledo Bend. The flowers and plants on the property are wonderful. Great staff. Don't expect any big city newspapers in the mornings.

    « Lovely Gardens »

The Best Western Cypress Bend Resort has the most beautiful gardens and plants. There is a fabulous butterfly garden showcasing plants that attract beautiful butterflies. The bottle tree and fountains add a nice touch.

    « Toledo Bend Trip »

This hotel fills all our needs when going fishing at Toledo Bend. When coming in from a long day on the water fishing, It's nice to kick back in a comfortable room and decompress. The lounge area is very nice as well as the employees that work there to make your stay as comfortable as possible. We've enjoyed the food in the restaurant as well as the service. The parking area is secure for my boat. Important factor with the electronics.

    « Comfortable and Scenic! »

This hotel is tucked away off the beaten path in a scenic area. Staff is helpful and friendly and the hotel is well maintained and clean. The room was large and the bed was most comfortable in any hotel I've stayed in!

  • 5

I wish I could tell you its horrible, that the food was lousy and the rooms were filthy. I wish I could say the staff is rude and the beds hard and lumpy. What I have to say is honestly the opposite is true. I travel weekly for business and this resort is beautiful nestled in the pines and cypress trees on the banks of a large lake. The comfortable rooms even have the best pillows I have seen in a hotel and I have stayed in many. What sets this hotel apart is the staff and their friendly care to detail. I will go week and then the next for as long as my job takes me to that area.

    « Explore Louisiana-Anniversary Trip »

The Cypress Bend Resort is well maintained with beautiful landscaping and grounds. We are not golfers but we rented a golf cart and rode the upper end of the course which had tremendous views of the Toledo Bend Lake. The staff at the lodge and restaurant were very helpful and friendly, Both of the meals we ate in the restaurant surpassed our expectations and the prices were reasonable. The room was a little dated but clean and maintained, We were suppose to have a lake view although it was more a view of the eighteenth green. I would definitely visit again. We both did not realize that Toledo Bend Lake was so large, some 86,000 acres. I think the next time we'll try a boat tour of portions of the lake.

« Stay some place else »

Hotel rooms are very outdated . Exterior appearance is nice but once you come in it needs a total renovation. Rooms have very old furniture the bathrooms are also old and out dated. The young lady that checked me in was not pleasant at all. Not one smile simply told me to park in the second parking lot and go through the double doors. It was also raining and no one to help with luggage. I sat on the sofa just for a moment it was hard as a brick and there were dead mosquitos still in the cushions and on the side. I would not recommend this hotel.

    « Beautiful, remote resort »

Stayed there overnight during business trip in that area. Resort was very nice with beautiful views of Toledo Bend Lake and adjoining golf course, great restaurant, indoor/outdoor pool, and nice rooms. The resort is a little out of the way, but the drive is worth it. Will definitely stay there again when in that area.

« So close to a great resort hotel! »

You think of Best Western and you think of semi-trucks and parking at the door. Not at this resort. It is hidden, very quiet, and looks better than the online pictures! I don't golf, but I do know that the course is awesome. The pros of this resort is great service, fantastic amenities, and a whole lot of the great outdoors to enjoy. Cons are the rooms. They are in need of new beds and AC units. The beds should have been replaced years ago, and the window AC units are LOUD. Best way to put it, if they put the same effort into the inside that they do to the outside, this would be a first class destination!

    « Business Trip »

The Hotel Staff very friendly, clean rooms, good location, food was good, good location. House keeping and front desk supported us in holding on to a personal item that was left after check out. Golf course in good shape. Parking readily accessible to rooms.

« Room was not up to standard »

We made it to the resort Friday night for a weekend for our Anniversary. Got to our room, the patio door would not open, I called for maintenance to fix it Saturday morning and it was never fixed. Upon going into our bathroom, we noticed that someones blood was on the door frame from the lock down to the floor. I told housekeeping, and we came back to the room Saturday evening and it was still there. So both times of trying to get stuff taken care of, housekeeping cleaning the room while we were out Saturday and not cleaning that off really made the room feel disgusting. Not to mention the only reason we paid for that room on that side was for the patio and we couldn't even use it. A whole lot of money wasted for a room that we could have got anywhere.

    « Good experience »

Wasn't perfect, but overall a good experience. We've had family reunions every two years since 2001, in a lot of places, and consensus this was the best one we've had, and the beautiful location had a lot to do with it. Food was outstanding and the staff was very accommodating.

    « beautiful »

great golf couse beautiful and diverse foliage if your golf game is bad, at least you hve have beautiful scenery. even though it rained heavily in the morning, we were able to play golf that afternoon. the hotel amenities were great and the food was great for trhe pice. great getaway holiday forn us.

    « ODonovan Family Reunion »

Hidden away in the deep woods of Louisiana is the most beautiful golf resort and outstanding hotel. It is in a remote location that adds to its beauty and intrigue. You can look out your window and enjoy the 18th hole of the outstanding golf course. This hotel is highly recommended by our family and we will return again.

    « A great place to stay!!! »

Hannah was the best front desk help I have ever had (and I travel a lot). Terrance was the best bartender anyone could ask for! Alex was both a fantastic waitress and a very attentive bartender. Morgan served me my dream Louisiana supper, and Mary served me TWO to-die-for breakfasts! Lauren was a wonderful server, also, and made my stay more enjoyable by hanging out to talk for a while (by the way, she's quite the artist). There are more, but I don't remember their names - one was the security guy on the night between 18 and 19 July 2017. There were also some mix-ups with my room, but they were all handled very professionally and courteously. I can't wait to return here!!!

    « Cypress Bend Hotel »

Fair hotel for the money paid however have stayed in plenty of hotels for the same amount of money and were much nicer. Poor quality of mattresses, room smelled a little musty and felt damp even with the air conditioner going. Paint is beyond needing to be redone. The view from front lobby and patio is very nice and pretty. Nice job with the landscaping but could beef up the appearance of the wing with the rooms. Food was good .

    « Family visit »

This was the best place in the Many area. It was several steps above anything else we could find, and the price was reasonable compared to similar resorts elsewhere. If I were returning to Many, this is where I would stay again.

    « Cypress Bend »

A wonderful place to get away from it all. I have been here many times and it is so peaceful and one of my favorite places to stay. The front desk is always friendly and very acccomidating. The spa is great and the view from the patio rooms is a little piece of heaven.

    « Very pleased »

Very good experience and would return to stay there when my travels brought me there. so many great things to do on the resort, you would never have to leave. Ground workers even were pleasant and their work really showed! Loved our stay, and the use of the suite and adjoining room worked great for our family!!!!

« Beautiful property, loved the view, enjoyed the food! »

Beautiful grounds and loved the patio overlooking the lake. Great lobby area with two large fireplaces lodged at each end and plenty of seating areas to relax indoors. Rocking chairs on the back patio are great for an afternoon libation and what a view! Great place to take a walk, play golf, hit the lake, or just relax. Rooms are large. Go for a king room. It has a nice seating area. Safe, clean, fun. Great for a family, friends, or for singles. The restaurant had the best crab stuffed shrimp! So full of crab meat and yet light and delicate. Loved their appetizers! Nice wine list. Great service!

    « great hidden oasis »

I love this hotel, the view is incredible, the food is wonderful but the staff makes the hotel. Everyone is so nice, polite and helpful. I stay in this location about 5 times a year when traveling between Texas and Louisiana. While it is a few miles out of my way, it is well worth the trouble. Just peaceful!

    « Cypress Bend »

Great place to stay if you was a quiet and relaxing getaway. Enjoyed the golf and pool. Staff was great and steak was excellent. It had been a while since we had been, but service and facilities were as good as ever.

« Amazing place and course »

This place is a must stay. It is very inviting, beautiful landscaping, friendly staff, and awesome golf course with great views. It has everything you need right there with restaurants, bar, pool and more. We love this place!!

    « Great experience! »

Very helpful staff and beautiful views. It was very relaxing and peaceful to sit on the rocking chairs. Ate four times at the restaurant/social room. We were pleased every time. Cassie, Hannah, Kat & Terence made our stay extra special with exceptional customer service. The pool area was also very relaxing. The only thing we would mention is that the hotel hallways & elevator are very warm. We thought that was odd, but not a deal breaker. We will definitely stay there again!

    « Second trip »

If you want the total breakdown, read my first review of this property. This is for my second trip. I actually got to stay longer this time around and I just love to disconnect out there. It was right after TS Cindy came through, so the weather was soso, 2 days of sun and 2 days of clouds. Well on the 2 days of sun, I made the most of it and played the course twice and spent time at the pool. Had a couple issues, but nothing to lose sleep over and were resolved within minutes....literally. I stayed in the Golf suites again and I remembered having a Keurig the last time I stayed so I brought my Kcups. This room didn't have one, so I called the Front Desk just to inquire. They said, there was an issue with one of the machines and that it may have been that room, but would call Housekeeping to see if they had a spare. Within 10mins a knock on the door and Keurig delivered. The other issue was Housekeeping forgot to put shower curtain back up after cleaning, so phone call to Front Desk and 10mins later...boom shower curtain brought and hung. I will definitely be back again. Everyone is so nice and plus they give you a non-expiring coupon off the rate for your next stay.

    « What a Relaxing Place »

WOW factor is this Resort sitting steps away from a fantastic golf course and a gorgeous lake. The landscaping of the grounds at this property are worth spending hours looking at. The staff never said the words "no we cant" rather found out the answer for you and offered another option. They all acted as they were truly thrilled that I was a guest there. Large rooms, all around worth visiting!

« Nice place with OTldedo Bend flavor »

The staff was very nice for this quick one night stay. The resort I stayed in over 15 years ago and it had some aging on it during that time. They have done a good job of keeping it fersh, though some things need TLC. The staff is very pleasant and the hotel is worth the cost. There is not a lot at Toledo Bend area on this side and this is the nicest hotel there. The others are more distant and this is a golf and fishing destination. I was in and out that one night stay. All I wanted was a clean and secure room which this was way more than my needs. Thank you for the staffs cordial attitude.

    « Fishing trip »

Tthe place was outstanding. The food in the restaurant was well prepared. The rooms are spacious and the beds are very comfortable. Wi-Fi was consistently reliable. I would highly recommend this property to anyone going to Toledo Bend area for pleasure or fishing. Although I didn't get to play golf, the course looked to be in great shape. This will be my first call if I am planning on staying in the area.

    « Cypress Bend »

Excellent stay, It has a very challenging golf course. Quality of the food was good, but there could be a larger selection on the breakfast buffet. Did not eat the dinner buffet as we had a banquet style dinner meal.

    « flea bag »

the room so small you couldn't walk around it, very hazard, electrical outlets with mult plugs, tile falling off wall, shower with knobs wouldn't work. very poor needs to be gutted and redone can't believe city of Chicago hasn't closed it down. Only thing good was employees

« Views and Landscaping Great/Guest rooms Bad »

If you are looking for a place with great views and landscaping you'll love this place. If you want a clean comfortable room to stay in you'll need to look for another location. IF you like to smell of carpet fresh you'll love this place. The aroma of the cover up freshener is overwhelming when you first walk in the guest building. I would really like to offer a better review but I just can't this trip. Staff is great.

    « Cypress Bend Resort »

The outside of this hotel is beautiful. The inside has much to be desired. Like staying in a cheap hotel with loud air conditioning and not much in resort amenities. My hotel room was only cleaned once while I stayed there for 4 nights.

« If You Haven't Stayed Here You Should »

This was one of the nicest places I have stayed and I have traveled the world. It is not a place if you are looking for big city life or lavish entertainment. This hotels offers so much more. Sweeping vistas, rocking chairs at sunset, monopoly or swimming or playing pool near your room. If you like to golf while enjoying the quiet sunrise or drink a beer while watching the sunset over the river, this place is for you. If you like to hike their is a trail to capture the towering trees and admire the birds. The food is great and the rooms are well appointed. There are parks nearby to admire and yes they do have internet and cable if you can't find anything else to do. It is a beautiful property and surrounding area. If you don't go you won't know a little piece of beauty. The only comment I would say is the front desk staff needs a little assistance in helping to support the customer. They were not that friendly and we were there during a power outage, so for those not used to this situation more assistance would have been helpful. We didn't need it, but it is an area that has room for improvement.

« Secret Getaway Resort in Louisiana »

Cypress Bend Resort in Zwolle is a wonderful "country club resort" on the shores of Toledo Bend. There is a golf course, hiking trails, bikes, swimming pool, spa, and so much more. Beautiful location!

  • 1
« weather back up plan »

The weather was bad but the hotel had no disaster plan. No generators and it is a remote location. We slept without lights and the yappy dog kept us up for hours. I encourage the chain to take into account the weather will be extreme and guests need to be communicated a plan if that happens.

    « Harbor in a storm »

We drove through a horrific storm and arrived later than we had hoped. There was no power, but the front desk staff was friendly and helpful, and we were able to check in. They offered complementary cold sandwiches and sodas, as well as flashlights. Unfortunately, the weather kept us from doing what we had planned, but the rooms were spacious and clean. We only spent one night, but I hope to return to enjoy this beautiful area in the near future.

    « Wonderful experience! »

We would recommend this facility to anyone who is looking for a delightful stay in a first rate hotel. The golf course is beautiful, the pool was clean and the water temperature perfect! The restaurant offered wonder menu choices for all meals and the staff was exceptional! The front desk staff were friendly and a delight with which to interact.

    « Over priced resort »

Was not what I expected of a hotel for the price of the rooms. Water control in shower not working properly. Restraunt not open before 5 pm for eating. Just wasn't what I expect out of a resort on such a large lake where fishermen will be staying.

    « Couples Golf Weekend »

We traveled with a total of 4 couples. The guys golfed and the gals chilled and relaxed while they golfed. We stayed in the golf suites. The accommodations were great. The customer relations employees were exceptional. Even house keeping went out of their way for us. The grounds were absolutely beautiful. We plan on making this trip an annual event. Loved Loved Loved it!!!!

    « Awesome GetAway »

It is far away from everything and that makes it wonderful. I have never seen a greater variety of plants outside of the Dallas Arboretum or a Botanical Garden. The views are spectacular and the price is ridiculous for the amenities.

    « Best kept secret »

I was hired to do photos for an event held here. I am so glad because otherwise I would have never known about this little gem. It is tucked into the woods along Toledo Bend. The grounds are absolutely gorgeous. There are activities for the whole family. (golf, swimming, fishing, spa, bar) The staff members are so nice and helpful. This is one of the best kept secrets in Louisiana.

« Quick trip to the Bend »

Beds are not comfortable. Pillows are lumpy. Mirror needs replacing - bad marks all in it. Nice hotel - was only there overnight and didn't get to enjoy all the hotel things. Staff was super friendly and went out of their way to explain the hotel

« 2 Nights overlooking Toledo Bend Lake »

Yea this place has a few years on it and everything was not perfect, but what is??? The staff here COULD NOT HAVE BEEN NICER!!! Maybe some people would give a 3 or 4 star review, but the staff here made it a 5 star review. From reservations with Ms. Elizabeth, Ms. Kathy & Ms. Madison. And drinking coffee early in the morning with Ms. Mary LeFluer in the dining room with her co-workers. What a treat for me. Ms. Dawn with housekeeping. 2 very nice and kind gentlemen in the golf pro shop (thanks, my wife very much enjoyed the tour of the course). I was reared and accustom to South Louisiana hospitality and this was as good as ever, even though I don't consider this S. LA. Job well done. RJ, Cajun Country

« Beautiful facilities and nice amenities »

This is a very nice property with spacious rooms that are nicely furnished. As expected AC worked great and bed was very comfortable. Lobby is very nice and great for sitting around and chatting. Full service bar and restaurant adjacent to lobby. Only drawback is restaurant doesn't open until 7am. Although I didnt partake there is a spectacular golf course here that several friends have given high marks to.

    « Beuatiful location »

The view is fabulous! The rooms were nice! THE STAFF WAS SO WONDERFUL!! The restaurant was average, but it was convenient. They are pet friendly and have great walking areas for the pets to get some exercise. The grounds were very well maintained.

    « 2nd stay / 2nd BAD EXPERIENCE »

We have stayed here for the last 2 years for a Memorial Tournament in honor of a young man that lost his life at age 19. This is this is the second time our experience has been bad. Last year the normal check in time was 3:00 and we did not get a room until after 7 p.m. AND STILL GOT CHARGE FULL PRICE BOTH TIMES!

    « whose standards? »

Arrived to check in at 530pm and was informed that the girl responsible for check in was at break and we would have to wait for her return. Went out to eat with friends and returned after dark. Unaware of trick to get into room and had to call maintenance. Finally get into room and it is 85 degrees and air conditioner does not work. 930pm at night we are being relocated to another room. Air works! No cable! Only thing premier at this place is the price and the maintenance guy.

    « Awesome Stay »

I highly recommend staying here. The golf coarse is beautiful, the lake and fishing are awesome and the room and hotel were great. The staff is friendly and always available. I will definitely stay here again!!!!!

    « Great scenery! A beautiful location. »

This was a good place for a business conference. The hotel is a little older. Rooms were comfortable but slightly dated. I think the value was right but I'm used to a little more polish when it's a resort. Overall good experience. Tough golf course and a true test. Course conditions were average. Greens pretty beat up.

    « Liability room »

This room should have been taken out of rotation until everything was fixed or before the whole building burn downs. I probably should have changed rooms but I figured I was safe and ready to go to sleep since the breaker tripped and there wasn't anymore power to the room other than the ac unit and bathroom light. They had to know there was a problem before giving me the room because everything was unplugged in the room. The breaker blew once I plugged the alarm in.

    « Guys Golf Weekend »

We come out here once or twice a year for a guys golf weekend and or a family getaway. This last trip was great as usual. Comfortable bed, good food, and GREAT golf. The property looks great and looks like they have done some minor upgrades recently. Always well worth the drive and I always get asked by the guys when we are going back.

    « A Louisiana Gem! »

We love it here!! We live in Natchitoches, 40 miles away, and when we need a mini vacation...this is the first place we think of! LOVE everything about it!! The staff is amazing, I can't think of an accommodation we have ever needed that they couldn't do! Hoping to be back there before lunch today!!

    « Breathtaking »

The most beautiful & relaxing place I have ever stayed. It is a hidden jewel. This place has been kept a secret all these years is all I can say, but that's why it is such a quiet and laid back experience.

    « A Great Hideaway! »

The perfect place to get away! This is a golf resort. I don't play golf but had a great time! There are trails to walk on, a clean fitness center, a nice pool, and areas to " sit in the butterflies" all around the complex. We had a great time visiting the area and the "Tamale Festival" in Zwolle. Will not eat for the next week because there was sooooo much great food!

    « If you haven't been, go »

It's worth the drive! It's very relaxing, a beautiful property unlike anything else in Louisiana. I would compare the hotel itself to the Marriott Grand in Point Clear. Even if you don't golf or have a boat, just go - it's a gorgeous hideaway.

« Out of thew way and worth it »

This may or may not be on or near your destination (unless you are a golfer) but it is worth a little extra travel to get there. The staff are warm and friendly, the beds are very comfortable and housekeeping does an excellent job. If you put the address into your GPS you will wind up about a mile short but just keep driving and you will soon see signs for the property. There was a cut towel sculpture swan to greet us on arrival and each day's return. It is a peaceful and quiet setting among the woods and near the lake.

    « Enjoy your marriage! »

Is the best place to relax and enjoy nature! The hotel was full but you don't feel the crowd. You can enjoy everything! The staff are great. You can enjoy play golf, go fishing, swim, read a book or only seat outside and enjoy the beautiful view!!!!!!

    « Amazing Getaway »

My wife and love getting away and this place was absolutely the best price while delivering a beautiful experience. Grounds are very well kept, rooms are very clean. We had mimosas while rocking in rocking chairs soaking up the morning view with a nice breeze. I had seen other negative reviews and how the food was overpriced...all I can say is you don't get out much. The steak and glazed salmon were off the chart. Highly recommend this place and will visit again and again.

    « A lovely hotel and a wonderful stay »

Cypress Bend is beautiful. The hotel itself and the grounds were lovely and beautifully kempt. Our stay in the Golf Suites was perfect for our family. We had some problems with our reservation, but the staff took great care to make sure everything was as we needed it. We look forward to returning in the future.

« Love the setting on the lake »

This place is so relaxing, love the bar and just strolling the grounds. The pool and indoor spa great place to tune out the world. Complimentary bikes are a nice touch. The crab cakes in the bar are a must try!

    « Quiet Beautiful Place! »

We had a great time for Labor Day weekend! Golf Course was nice, beautiful view with the lake behind. Pool is very small, fitness center is ok. Clean Room and bathroom. Staff very friendly! A/C unit in the room was crazy loud and didn't stop all night. Good Value Hotel! I will sure comeback!

« Good Stay considering other options in the area »

Toledo Bend doesn't have many options for groups but this has been the best one we have stayed in. The suites are a little outdated but served their purpose. The pool needs to cleaning but the greens and the overall atmosphere was great. The cleaning staff on Friday and Saturday were adament that it wasn't their fault our room wasn't cleaned it was a computer glitch. They didn't even bother to come in Saturday to change out the trash they gave me the extra bags to put in the trash cans. Same for the towels. The girl on Sunday was precious she came in and cleaned the entire suite and was so kind. All other staff members were very kind and helpful.

    « Best Stay Ever »

Wonderful experience at this beautiful property. Well worth the drive. Upon arrival you sense that this is a place of relaxation and restoration. The food prepared by Chef Jon and staff is beyond delicious, prepared especially to enjoy and savor, and presented by staff that gets the importance of an enjoyable meal.

« An alright stay but not slept up place »

Stayed one night and man. Asked for a late check out and was told no with all the people checking in they couldn't. I go on web site and can reserve rooms all day long the same we had. People around resort were rude and snobby to my children. They ask one lady a question and she looked at them and walked away (17 year olds not small children) ask politely excuse me and all. A/C hardly worked & fan on patio falling apart just like all the wood rotting away. They need some help getting that place back represent able. Would stay again if it was only choice. Being from the country these people don't know politeness air respect from what I can tell. Food was decent.

« Christmas get away with family »

Resort was very quiet and nice to visit. We stayed in the suite and had the family and friends with us. Was great having it to ourselves and the pool was great to enjoy with it being indoors. Will be going back soon. The price was great also.

    « Magical Wedding Weekend »

Cypress Bend Staff, I wanted to say thank you again for working to make your hotel available to our 200 guests for my daughter's wedding. It was a magically 3 days and it could not have happened without your help. Many of our guests had never been to Louisiana and went away with a love of Toledo Bend and a desire to visit your hotel again. Your staff worked tirelessly to take care of our guests and treated everyone with good old fashion southern hospitality. Our rehearsal brunch was perfect in the social room. Deborah, from the front desk, was our go to girl. She took excellent care of us during all the planning and room scheduling, all the way through to the last day. I know there were issues with some of our guests rooms not being ready on time and delays in the dining room which I would encourage you to improve upon in the future. Thank you again for helping to create a magical wedding weekend. Sincerely, Teresa Hebert

« Not worth the money »

Arrived at 2:30 PM, was told that we could not check in before 3:00 PM, the computers were locked. Ten minutes later, after conveying my displeasure, the computers were unlocked, and a room was found. You may have a policy, but don't lie to me. The rest of our party, approximately 30 people, had to wait, some for over 3 hours, for their room. We have held our bi-annual function here for over 16 years due to the proximity of older relatives. You would think they could get it right by now. Employee shift change is at 3:00 PM which is check-in time. Customers have to wait for this change while ALL COMPUTERS, golf shop, restaurant, service desk, etc. are locked. Really? Shift change at mandatory check- in time? How dumb! When we went to our room, the temperature in the hall was approximately 90° F. The room was cool, but the hall was hot as hell. The food was good, but overpriced. Our group would not stay here for our family reunion except for a 96 year old aunt who lives close by. And please, don't try to make amends with a complimentary round of golf like you have done in the past.

« Memorial Day with family »

Cypress Bend is a beautiful location. The hotel is older, but in a very regal way. We checked in Friday of Memorial Day weekend. One of the big pluses for me was that they are pet friendly. We had about six rooms overall and everyone was on the first floor. You can access your room downstairs from the inside or outside. On the side of the resort with the stupendous views it was a little extra for the patio but oh so worth it. The restaurant is ok. Buffet is good food, nothing spectacular. We had snacks late Saturday night and the burger looked good. Terrence in the dining room took good care of us, brewing me fresh coffee and boxing up our to go orders as well. It was apparent that this weekend was probably their first busy weekend. Once the staff gets into the routine of the busy season the service level will probably step up. And of course I never once received BAD service. It was a great experience and I will go back. Didn't get a chance to try spa when I do I will update.
