Resumen de la reserva
This hotel does not look like the photo from 2 years ago. It is pretty run down on the outside and located near a sketchy apartment complex. The general area did not feel safe. The staff do a great job keeping the inside clean but the facilities could use a big renovation. It's extremely outdated. Plug ins in the room were stripped and plugs would fall out. In a family members room only one outlet worked. You could feel the springs in the mattress when you sat down. Area of the hotel where I stayed smelled like weed and a dog was barking constantly. The staff were super friendly and accommodating but this place is just not for me. Definitely not worth $82 per night.
Pros: The staff was helpful and very nice. The breakfast was decent like most typical hotel breakfasts. The beds, room, and bathroom were overall clean. Cons: No room phone nor clock. Toilet in one room wasn't secured to floor. Shower had no safety bar to hold on to, and the footing was very uneasy. No automated doors at entrance, and no elevator in service for the second floor. Generally the room was not up to par with modern standards. No Best Western signage indicating it was the hotel. Unless it gets renovated, one can find a better hotel in area for not much more of cost.
This is a public service announcement of my recent stay here in Lawton. I re-learned the lesson of "a low price usually indicates low quality." This is clearly a recent acquisition of the local operator. This was an extremely dilapidated hotel ( a fixer-upper) prior to acquisition that this operator bought for a low price with the plan of making improvements once the keys were handed over. Unfortunately for guests, this clever operator put the rooms on the market for rent prior to completing many of the needed improvements. For example, the hallway carpeting hasn't been replaced and it still has stale, old cigarette smoke smell that can't just be washed out. Also, the outdoor pool has algae to the point of not being able to see the bottom of the pool. Lastly for this review, outdoor signage hasn't been put up on the front. I drove past it before realizing my mistake. This is a work in progress but more work needs to be done.
Staff was VERY helpful and the best part of this hotel. Very much felt like hotel is a bait and switch as the photos online do not AT ALL represent what the hotel looks like. The photos online were beautiful. Hotel, not so much ;-). Very dated, a lot of updates needed. We are generally not picky about hotels, since we really are only in the room to spend the night, but the photos they have online are truly frustrating as they do not at all show what the hotel truly looks like. We were shocked how different it actually looked compared to the photos and actually double checked the address to make sure we were at the correct hotel. Pool also does not at all look as nice as the photos online. Thankfully, the room was clean and the staff were all very nice and helpful.
This place looks shiny and nice online. It is old and dark, but it is clean. We did not spend one night there because there were kids smoking pot outside one of the rooms. There are exterior doors in every room in addition to hallway doors. Our room was a tiny "king" room. Everything was old, especially the bathroom and "closet".
The entire staff is excellent!! The receptionist, breakfast staff, maintenance & housekeeping were all very pleasant and made our stay enjoyable. We were able to check in much earlier than what is normal for hotel standards which was really helpful to us. The AC quit on our 2nd day but the maintenance guys had it changed out with a new unit within 30 minutes or so from the time we came in and discovered it not working which was quicker than we could have moved to another room. Stayed here 10 years ago and much of the hotel has a recent update. The ONLY disappointment was the pool water was a little murky for us but we're old and it didn't keep others out. For the rate you get here you won't likely find a better deal. Would definitely stay here again.
Location is in bad part of town. The building is run down. Needs maintenance and upkeep. Pool was green, no hot tub. The staff was trying to do there best but they could not change the building location or need for up keep. If you are single and just passing through it might be worth it. If you are traveling with wife and kids look elsewhere.
Where do I even start. The hotel sits between a ran down apartment complex with a sign that is about 6 inches by 12 inches. The entire hallway and rooms stink badly of old cigarette smoke and moisture/mold. The worst part there are people who live there full time. The ones next to us stayed up all night with the door open loudly talking and blaring music. Around 6 am they begin fighting to the point one threatened to call the cops on the other other one. I walked outside later and the room to their door was open and it looked like an episode of hoarders. Management: stop renting rooms long term to sleezy low life people who are most likely on drugs and have domestic disputes in the rooms. This might have been my worst hotel experience ever!!!
Jessica is who we spoke to when booking and she made you feel so welcomed over the phone before we even got there! And the general manager Melanie was super professional and helpful before and during our stay! Tara was professional too! The front desk ladies were so amazing! The breakfast was wonderful! Primella went above and beyond with breakfast! I was there with 3 children (ages 3 and below) and thanks to Primella… breakfast was easy and enjoyable! Between Jessica, the general manager, Tara, and Primella I had a wonderful stay and I'm extremely happy with my stay! I will stay at this hotel next time in the area! Thanks to Primella, Jessica, Tara, and Melanie… I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this hotel and will be back!!!
Potential Guests Run while you can. This hotel is horrible, sleeping in your car is a way better option. Our family stayed here 4/17/24-4/19/24 for a BCT graduation. The hotel smells horrible like mildew and marijuana (people actively smoke it in their rooms and it is so bad, it wakes you up) there is no way for them to get rid of the smell because it is all throughout the carpets within the hallways. Our younger son (16) got so sick from this hotel that he was unable to attend his brothers BCT graduation, we had to contact our family doctor to give him emergency medicine because of how bad it made him, thankfully CVS in our home state was able to work with CVS on Cache Road so we could obtain the medication. The bathrooms are completely useless as the tubs and sinks fill up with water and they do not drain. Our family had 3 rooms here 120, 122 and 136, they were all the same and had the same problems in each room, therefore you can tell it is a hotel issue and not based on each room. There is absolutely no airflow in this place and the AC's do not work. The best part about is all is that we were able to see maintenance working in room 120 around 1:00pm, that just reaffirmed that it was bad. My best advice to anyone is please stay somewhere else for your own health. Book other hotels, there are many in the very same area, Google map this one and research around it, there are really nice ones in the area, for example: Comfort Suites, that appeared to be well kept from the outside. Also, Barbara at the front desk is rude and has no interpersonal skills whatsoever, she is more focused on being rude and disrespecting guests than performing her job duties and responsibilities. Please, save yourself, your family and your health, STAY AWAY!
This was a good value for the money. We slept good, had a hot breakfast, everyone was friendly. The building needs some updating. We were a little worried when we drove up, but it turned out okay when we entered the building. We didn't use the pool, but I did stick my hand in the inside pool and it was heated.
We stayed one night to celebrate my daughter's birthday. She invited a couple of friends for a sleepover. They were able to enjoy the pool. We enjoyed it all. I liked the fact that our room was close to the pool, it was quiet, and also the breakfast area was really spacious. Also I liked it bc although it was a dreary day we were still able to enjoy the nice setup of the indoor pool!! Next time we'd like to swim outside, depending on the weather of course.
It's a great place just didn't like the noise so early on a Sunday morning. Other than that it was a great place to stay and easy to get to one of the casinos and great food places near by and the breakfast here was good to.
The room and bed was clean, warm, and cozy. The breakfast reminded me of the hearty ones that I often ate while working on a farm, there was sausage and taters and biscuits and gray and waffles! Very delicious and filling that keep me going throughout the day. My motto is "happy wife, happy life" and needless to say my days were happy while we stayed there!
I had a very good experience during my stay . Room was clean bed was comfortable.kids had a great time in the pool and the breakfast was pretty good to. I have stayed here several times when I go to Lawton will styagain on our next trip the fall
This property exceeded my expectations. The staff was friendly and helpful. They have an indoor and outdoor pool. We swam in the indoor pool and the temperature was perfect. It was quiet and peaceful. If you're on a tight budget this is a great place to stay.
We stayed 3 dats in Lawton for our grandson's Basic traing graduation and Family Day visit. We wanted a nice, clean hotel and we were satisfied with both facilities and employees. We had only minor issues, like the remote needed new batteries and one of the wall otlets was damaged. The breakfast every morning was excellent and every staff member was very friendly and polite.
Many different bugs in the room including hundreds of mosquitos. Also crickets chirping in the room. All doors were very hard to open. We got locked out of our room and maintenance had to break in. Will never stay here again. Needs major upgrade.
Great price, friendly and you can bring your pet. Breakfast serves real eggs not out of the box and it's a big variety of food.Lawton just had a storm going trugh, they are working hard to get their beautiful landscape back in place. Overall great
Stayed in lawron for daughter in laws graduation. PROS Staff was super friendly, price was great pools are amazing. Cons was told we couldn't check in until after 4pm so had to find something to do all day intil.check in. Hour after check in power went out. Had to find desk attendant to see what was going on. Was told it could take hours to restore wasn't offered a refund or a discount. I have a breathing machine I have to use and was told to try to find a gas station to use it at. I understand power outages wasn't their fault but felt as though there wasn't any compassion or compensation for the inconvenience.
Hotel was clean quiet room was small but had all the basic needs. Perfect for a quick overnight stay. Would definitely come back and stay again. Right next to the Casino and down the road from some restaurants. Had a great time in Lawton.
As a frequent user of the Best Western brand, this was the only choice in the area. While it is not the room size that I am accustomed to, the room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The location is convenient to I-44 and close to Ft Sill. It was quiet, and the breakfast was good; Regular breakfast options (cereal, oatmeal, yogurt, breads, waffles, juices), along with hot food choices that were fresh and hot. Front desk staff was very friendly.
They say they are disabled friendly but they dont have an elevator.if it wasnt for a nice family switching rooms i would have had to climb upstairs on crutches. The door knob in the bathroom is broken.
The hotel lacked cleanliness and is in need of an uplift. The beds are not comfortable and the sheets will make you scream. Not worth the price and not living up to the plus after the name. Puts you in the mindset of the old motel 6
We liked the indoor and outdoor access to rooms, the staff was very friendly and I slept very well in the bed. Breakfast was very yummy and free also front desk were very kind and always greeting and smiling when we would walk past them.
The floor looked dirty, the linens are out dated and don't look/feel fresh/clean, 30 minutes for hot water to reach room. The price paid with taxes, just under $100, was in my opinion too high for the value of the room.
Hotel is very close to Ft. Sill. Appreciate that it is Veteran owned and run. Rooms were clean, breakfast was hot ( with a waffle maker) as a plus. Very personable staff. We traveled with 7 family members and we had rooms that were all by each other. Comanche casino was within walking distance, so we grabbed a bite to eat there. Small grill but fried catfish was the best- free beverages a plus. We ate at the 360 restaurant at Apache Casino, 1 mile away. Service and food were excellent. Prices were reasonable too. Overall a nice experience.
Extremely relaxing .Wonderful stay and breakfast!! Service and professional, kindness cleaniness above reproach. We always ejoy ourselves and highly recommend to fellow travelers this East Gore location.
The staff at Best Western in Lawton were beyond helpful and kind. From the reservations to check in to breakfast the next day. The rooms were clean and up to my standards. Would absolutely stay again!
This hotel was convenient to where we needed to be but is very outdated. No charging ports and had power strips with lamps etc. plugged in. It has vinyl tile floors and the room & bathroom are small. Check in/out was easy, front desk people were nice & breakfast was decent with a very pleasant lady taking care of it.
Staff was pleasant, glad to have help from staff getting my luggage up to second floor, but elevator was broken and with bad knees it was a pain to climb the stairs. Doesn't look like they plan on fixing it anytime soon either. Was here for 13 days and it was broken the entire time. Was not recognized as Diamond member at check in, should have been welcomed with a bottle of water and snack, which is appreciated after several hours traveling to get here. Bed was comfy, towels soft, but frayed. Plenty of hot water for showers. Had a suite with balcony, which was nice. Housekeeping was available upon request, I never requested it since I work odd hours. It was always quiet in the area I was in. Breakfast was the same old eggs, yogurt, pastries, and they would switch it up between bacon and sausages. Nothing special. I would suggest that they keep fresh coffee in the lobby 24/7 but they don't. Once breakfast is over at 9 am no coffee to be had except the little single serve individual things in the room, which was terrible. Room was clean, but the hallway smelled musty. If you just need a place to sleep without a lot of noise, close to freeway, shopping, eating, etc this is perfect. I will be traveling into Lawton 3 times a year for 2 week stays each time. I WILL book here for the rest of my trips, mostly because it was quiet and the balcony that I could sit out on in peace.
Clean rooms, very friendly professional staff, and good breakfast. There was a water leak in the first room and immediately after reporting it, I was moved to a room of my choice. The hotel staff was very accommodating
The room was clean, bed was comfortable, breakfast was very good, outdoor pool and outdoor seating areas were wonderful. Staff was very accommodating to our large group. Would definitely stay again when in the area.
The hotel is located close to I44 and several restaurants and casinos. All the staff were friendly and helpful. The internet is slow and only works in part of each hotel room. No sign on building so it is hard to find.
Had a king size bed and had 4 small (smaller than standard size) pillows that were very very flat. The floor had crumbs from people before as the floor was not vacuumed. The sheets were stained. The A/c sounded awful Breakfast was amazing tho.
SureStay Best Western is a great hotel for its budget/price. Staff is helpful, breakfast is awesome and the rooms are clean. Location is perfect for Fort Sill/Lawton. Walking distance to casino for night time adventures. Well worth the $$$
It was a business trip and I was only sleeping there and working 16 hours a day so I didn't report the problem because I didn't have time to deal with the process but the hallways smelled strongly of mold and the room smelled better but had ants terribly bad
Very nice customer service. Other occupants were also very nice. Very hot outside but cooling off in pool was fun and relaxing not over crowded. We stay here every trip to Lawton,OK. Central to all the things we love to do.
Great staff, nice rooms, very comfortable. More like a small resort with both pools and casino right next door. Dinning staff is awesome. Everyone here does an amazing job!! Will always stay here when traveling through!
Great staff overall. Very friendly service. Great breakfast with a very friendly staff. The only drawback was the carpet in our roo. We had a dog so it would have been better if the room did not have carpet.
It's always pleasant to stay at this hotel the casino is right next door that's a plus the breakfast is unmatchable I don't care if you're at a diner a different hotel it doesn't matter this place is off the charts with the breakfast everyone is pleasant on the staff we have had never had a problem pets are welcome they don't harass us about our animals of course we don't make a mess I love the fact that there's a bathtub that's important to my wife it's easily accessible from the highway there's lots around like the cracker barrel another casino Sonic little bitty store truck stop is on the next road over very accessible Walmart not too far in a very large Park just down the road shopping strip just down the road everything you need right here.
No room services offered at all. We had to ask for them to empty our trash and they didn't even get it all. No dirty linen was ever picked up- beds never touched. I understand cut backs but at least tidy the rooms or offer to. Phone had static in it. Breakfast we tried it one day and didn't go back any other days.
It compares to what you would get in downtown Tulsa on 11th street that the hookers would use. Old ran down mildew smelly nasty building. It is worth $25 an hour for the hookers to do their tricks in but it —IS NOT for the average family or business man..
The hotel is not luxurious (I did not pay for one) but it has everything you need for a good night's sleep, excellent and abundant breakfast, clean rooms, friendly service, comfortable bed, friendly welcome, a quiet place, close to many restaurants and shops. We would definitely return.
Mrs. Zena the front desk clerk went above and beyond to accommodate my needs to insure a memorable as well as pleasant trip. The breakfast bar was to die for all the food was fresh and hot as well as delicious.
great experience, staff super friendly and helpful. We loved the convenience of having 2 doors in the room. Our 7 year old enjoyed the indoor pool since it was still way to cold for the outside one. Breakfast was amazing, hot and cold choices and plenty of it. We had breakfast with a large group and did not run out of anything for more than a minute! Only downside: wifi in our room was very weak
This is an older hotel so its not a resort of any type but it is clean with very nice employees. When the outdoor pool is open it is a BIG plus to your stay - it is very nice! And a casino next door within walking distance. I ALWAYS stay here when in town - when I was forced to stay at other hotels in the area because I was with friends - I was very disappointed and missed my fav Best Western here
Love staying there. The employees are friendly and helpful. Clean place no issues. Looking forward to staying there more often. Just love it . It's my home way from my home. Breakfast is OK but good. You need to stay .
We booked this hotel after looking at the ample parking and closeness to the expressway. Lobby was inviting, check in staff member were friendly and courteous. Lobby and breakfast area nice and clean, lots of breakfast items to choose from. This hotel is convenient, but no elevators make it a struggle for those who have heavy luggage. Narrow stairways. Rooms clean and tidy.
The price was right for our Southwest road trip from Ohio to Arizona. We arrived late Thursday after a 10 hr drive and left after a 6 AM breakfast. The hot breakfast and breakfast staff were wonderful! Would stay here again while on a road trip.
Customer service is excellent. Staff are exceptional, courteous, friendly, respectful, and go above and beyond in providing their customers satisfaction. I will definitely stay at this hotel in my next visit to Lawton, Oklahoma. The complimentary breakfast is delicious and worth the price of the hotel stay. Location is perfect - casino is next door just walking distance.
I have stayed at many hotels in Lawton and this is by far the best value, cleanest, family friendly and has the best breakfast in town. The indoor pool is heated and very nice. The breakfast has many choices and actual hot food. Coffee is a little weak, but they provide actual creamer not powdered crap. The rooms have laminate type hard wood looking floor and are cleaner that the old crappy carpet you find at most hotels in Lawton. The beds are comfortable and have never had any issues with noise or feeling unsafe here. Would definitely recommend.
This hotel offered great value as well as great added services. Rooms were clean. The complimentary breakfast was fresh and offered choices for almost everyone. It was an easy location to access and was right against the casino which was the main reason I chose this location. Overall great stay.
The room was very spacious. The fact that there was two doors to enter the room was nice. You can park right in front of the room and just walk right in instead of going all the way around. There could have been more towels.
There was no sign on the hotel indicating that it was "SureStary Plus"; I only saw the address to confirm that it was the correct hotel. Had problems with toilet constantly refilling and noisy occupants in the room next door. I went to front desk and attendant moved me to another room. That room TV did not work, so had to walk back to front desk. Moved me to another room. Frustrating to have experience this at the end of a long day driving. But the attendant was most accommodating and friendly and this made a big difference. The room and hotel was very clean and had a nice breakfast .
I was in town from Southern California during the Thanksgiving holiday. My youngest son, Pvt. Zachary Zaffiro was graduating from boot camp at Fort Sill Army Base. You all made a special event for my family even better! ARMY STRONG!!!
Staff was professional and friendly. Food was hot and plentiful. Clean room and perfect location. Water pressure was wonderful. Quiet room even though it is parallel to the highway. Casino next door. Highly recommend
Wonderful people, great food, and a great place to rest your head. Went to see our son graduate BCT. Heard horror stories of other hotels. But the reviews for this best western were great and was what we were looking for.
The Overwhelming smell of Pine-Sol throughout the building made me think a dead body was buried somewhere in my room door was Open when I got to it and looks like a crowbar had been used on it. There was a second door on the opposite side of the room that led to the outside of the building that you could see daylight coming in around the door frame both doors had chain locks that I could have easily broken the bed was sank in the middle, I felt like I had a better chance of being raped and then getting sleep the pictures on the website did not accurately depict what I found. I am mediately returned the room key only to be told I would still be charge for the night because I was an hour past the cancellation time apparently safety is not a concern of theirsAs a single woman traveling I feel like it's my top priority
Covid, Covid, Covid . I'm sick of Covid. This hotel is 50 years old and looks it. You can't call it shabby but you can call it dated. The employees at the front desk were very cordial and helpful.. and the room was large and had all the ubiquitous paraphernalia you would expect in an hotel room. I'm constantly amazed by this and shame on me, by now I shouldn't be. But once again, Covid is an explanation for everything; the elevator does not work, Covid….we're only going to clean your room every three days, Covid…..we're not going to change the linens and towels until they can walk out of the room on their own…..Covid, if we don't answer the phone promptly….Covid. I'm sure you could explain the pregnancy of you teenage son's girlfriend with the same explanation…..Covid. With all the things that have slipped or are missing into today's hotel experience, the one thing that is completely intolerable is bad WIFI. This motels WIFI was essentially non -existent and sucked. That's not acceptable even for $80 a night.
Room smelled, air co dictionary barely worked no hot water for showers in the morning. Reported the mold mildew smell to from from desk they cleaned it, pho e did t work and they hooked it up but left the plate off the wall where the connections were
Definitely enjoyed our stay, is an older property and could use some slight updating. Was very pet friendly which I always appreciate and is very hard to find these days. My children very much enjoyed the outdoor pool! It was very clean and well kept. The morning breakfast was amazing! Food was great and servers were very kind. Since traveling with dogs I very much enjoyed having an indoor and an outdoor entry into the room. No issues with the locks with either door. There is a casino down the road, no issues with security or feeling unsafe from my family. Bed was comfortable.
There are only three positives to this place. The front desk workers are all extremely nice and helpful and the breakfast made it worth the cost of staying there. Lastly the bed was comfy. However it is pretty run down , the walls are thin heard our neighbors tv all night long , toilet was wobbly and had to wear flip flops in the shower bcus I didn't trust the floors were clean enough. I think a renovated motel 6 would've been better to be honest.
Hotel is old, both swimming pools poorly kept, outdoor pool was green and made us stink. Rooms cold and hospital like. Internet poor. 3 tiny pillows on bed. Hotel is falling apart. No AC in lobby. Breakfast was good.
My only complaint is that the WiFi is horrible. I had to use my data on and off the whole time. The hotel was clean, staff was super friendly. Pool was amazing. I would go back.. You can tell by the outside it's an older hotel but that didn't bother me and all. We felt safe the hotel time.. easy access to the interstate , restaurants etc..
Rooms were dated and Crickets were visible throughout the hotel and in the rooms. Not pleasant to come out of the shower and see Crickets jumping across the bathroom floor. Breakfast was exceptional, lots of great choices. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I was disappointed that they did not service the rooms for multiple day stay unless requested.
Older hotel but with some updating. I like that they don't have carpet it the rooms, they retain a lot of smells. Good bed, clean room, great breakfast. Good room for the price. Location is a little hard to find.
Very dirty, out dated, smell in rooms was horrendous, halls were extremely hot, pillows on beds were just absolutely the worse I have ever had in a hotel, security in hotel was awful ( a lot of the locks to outside from the rooms were busted or just plainly didnt work)
The rooms were not what we expected but the Staff were very accommodating and friendly! For our purposes - which were to visit on Family day with are Army graduate - it worked perfectly! We all hung out together by the pool or the outdoor seating area beside the pool. That was exactly what the trip was about. So we were not even in our rooms but to sleep or change. And the rooms were fine, just an older hotel.
This stay at this Best Western was a truly memorable one. We pulled up and it just did not seem like a Best Western. It sort of looked dingy with no good signage. We checked in at the front desk who were all very nice. We unloaded our luggage and went to get something to eat. Our room had an inside door and an outside door. We locked the inside door with the sliding latch and went out the outside door. We forgot something and had to run back into the room. The outside door did not work with our room key. When we went to the front desk, they said if the inside door is dead bolted or had the slide latch locked that the outside door would not work. Not true. The outside door did not work at all. Maintenance said the heat caused the door lock to not work properly. So we had to leave the inside door shut but not dead bolted or latched so that we could go inside to open the outside door. When we got back my daughter noticed the floor was pretty dirty and the bathroom was also pretty bad. Off we go to the store to get cleaning supplies. Come back and clean the room, take pictures, and show the front desk. They did give us a discount on the room and explained that due to COVID housekeeping help was hard to come by. We go to sleep, me, my daughter and the 2 grand kids. I wake up scratching like a crack head. My neck, arms, hands, and underarm area are so itchy that I can not stop scratching. I was able to fall back asleep after an hour and a half of scratching. Luckily, I was the only one who got bit. I did look in the sheets for bugs. I found what may have been a bug but it was so small it was hard to tell. As I sit here and type this review 3 days after being bit, I am still itchy. I have never been so disappointed in a Best Western in my life. This place is truly unforgettable.
I found this to be a very quaint and clean hotel with good amenities. Fairly convenient location. The staff is very friendly and a tentative. And the breakfast is good. I would stay here again when I'm in the area.
We stayed there for 4 nights, one night after switching to a new room we had trouble with the a/c and they were very quick to try to get it fixed and ended up just switching us rooms. Any problems we had were addressed quickly and fixed with no issues. We love this hotel and would recommend it to everyone that asks.
Hotel room was dirty. Had clean off black dirt/grime off the light switches just to feel comfortable. Found insects in the bed after turning down the blanket and sheets. When calling to front desk to report, phone didn't work.
Due to the location and outside appearance of this motel, I did not consider it to be as pleasant of an experience as it turned out to be for us. The rooms were up to date, clean and the A/C worked well. The breakfast was a hot buffet style and had a nice selection. Very nice fitness room which I really appreciated! Large outdoor pool and sunbathing area as well. The front desk staff were always cheerful and helpful, which was exceptional, especially in Lawton, where it seems to be very rare nowadays.
Overall it was an ok stay. Great location right next to casino, indoor pool, all that. Lots of bacon for breakfast!! But the room itself definitely needed updated. Tiny tv for such a large room ( I had a suite).
I usually stay at Best Westerns but this particular one was a disappointment. It smelled dank and musty with horrible wifi. If looked more like cheapo hotel with hourly rates than the standard of BW that I normally find. The service was fine and the breakfast was good. It had both an indoor and outdoor pool as well. The outside door to my room was busted so I had to go inside every time. There is plenty of parking. There are not very many places to eat in the immediate vicinity except for a shabby casino within walking distance. Otherwise, its a drive to get anywhere.
This hotel has been utilized by my family for a few years now. While it has a weird Stanley Hotel feel, the hotel is nice and not haunted. The pool areas are nice and the breakfast is great! While the AC was not as cool as I would have preferred, the beds were comfortable. Overall, we had a great stay.
The room was chilly when I checked in. All expected amenities worked fine. Access to a casino just across the parking lot heightened the stay(the casino shuttle took me back to my room). Pool are was first class. 14 older bike riders took over the shaded bar area and had a blast. We ordered pizza and several went to the liquor store, about a mile away, and we celebrated our day in style!
The staff members at this facilty are great! Very friendly! They did everything they could to make the visit comfortable. We had the air conditioner quit working. Maintenance was there within 5 minutes to check itout. They replaced the whole unit within minutes. The second unit was erroring out and again they were there within minutes and this time the manager came. He offered to move us to another room.
They have the best breakfast. The stay is always great. When we stay in Lawton, this is our go to hotel. I do wish that the outside pool was open already because the inside pool is super loud with a bunch of kids swimming.
SPIDERS!! There was one in my hand when i was searching around in my duffel bag, another in the restroom! Not something you wanna see. And the pictures on the website don't look the same in real life. Looks like a hooker motel. And the breakfast is awful
We got there and the room was dirty. It smelled of stale cigarette smoke despite being a non smoking room. It is right on the street so people were constantly talking right outside our door all night. The breakfast staff was friendly but the food was cold and gross.
I'm not gonna write a “bad” review. We were only here for one night to rest before getting up and spending the day in the wildlife refuge. If I ever come to Lawton for an extended period ai stay elsewhere. This place served the purpose but it is dated and should be more in the motel 6 price range instead of where it is at. Lots of after casino partying going on here the night we were there and our end of the hall was very loud. I'd stay here in a pinch if I had no other choice but next time I'll opt for one of the newer and nicer places across the highway.
Nice and comfortable hotel and would stay again. Has both an indoor and outdoor pool. The hot breakfast was excellent and put them over the top when other hotels just have grab and go during covid. The staff was awesome and deserve kudos!
The employees here are awesome people .. this hotel is old and not kept up very well but the employee work VERY hard to keep it clean and welcoming... the covid breakfast is very good and the location is great!
There was no hot water. Internet was on and off. Room was clean but a little small. The staff was amazing. Very friendly and helpful. Loved that I got to bring my dog. They gave us a room on the ground floor with access to the outside. It was great! The breakfast was hot and had a ton of food.
Indoor pool was not open but they are one of only two hotels that I know of that offer big breakfasts. Right by casino so very convenient. Pretty and great location. Had every ammenity you can think of.
Wouldn't recommend going outside after dark. Strange vehicles meeting in parking lot for very short amounts of time. Felt unsafe. Don't forget an item at the hotel. They will charge you out the wazoo to return it.
Coke machine, ice machine inoperable. Non-smoking room smelled like an ash tray. Internet would not work. And too pricey on top of all that. I won't be staying there for any future trips. Worst Best Western ever.
First let me say that the staff was kind and very much customer oriented.I was in Oklahoma for a wedding, I reserved 4 rooms. The hotel is an older one, but fits in perfectly with the local surrounding. The rooms were decorated beautifully. The bar, and gym were closed due to Covid- 19 but the indoor/ outdoor pools made up for that. And breakfast was AMAZING! The rooms were clean. However, a few issues I had were a pool party (at the outdoor pool) was taking place and there was a situation with my grandchildren 7 & 11 and several kids in the pool that were not being supervised because the adults at this party were drinking and openly smoking weed. We resolved the issue ourselves and ended up staying but hesitantly. Another issue I had was with the guest laundry, I did a load of clothes, the air conditioner in the laundry room did not work. I sat out in the hallway to get reprieve from the heat. The AC unit was in need of repair. Overall it was a clean place to stay, but less that what I expected from a hotel advertised as 3 star hotel.
Our room was nice and clean. We were able to bring our pet. I called prior to our stay and visited with the personnel on the front desk. She was very helpful and answered my questions. I booked out room the next day. Front desk lady was very friendly and I was treated well. So different from stays at other hotels. Breakfast was awesome! We could not have asked for a better trip
An old but cozy hotel, this location offers a variety of amenities that would keep you busy and entertained during your stay. The only thing that i would change is that i would add an USB charging port near the nightstand.
Downside bathtub drain didn't drain well. The air quality irritated my allergies. Pro it had two exits to the room. The breakfast was good not great but good. Amber at the front desk was great and tried to help us. Ice machines were down. Kitchen staff was very accommodating for dietary needs.
The price was great for this hotel and we enjoyed our stay while visiting for a Graduation and Family day at Fort Sill. The staff was helpful and the breakfast was great. I would definitely recommend them!
It may look a little dated from the exterior but don't let that stop you from booking a room. This location was quite surprising, the rooms are very nice and is very quiet. The value of this stay is well worth it. Easy access to the location as well as shopping, food, and easy acess for Fort Sill.
We had gone to Lawton to attend a SCD square dance. i selected Best Western based on past experience in other locations. The room was cold when I first entered, which made an unfavorable impression initially; however, the window unit warmed things up quickly enough and i was quite comfortable the remainder of the stay. Breakfast was hot and good, and the attendants were friendly and competent.
The best western in Lawton Oklahoma is the only place i stay because of the great service by the staff and the full breakfast buffet they have. They are always willing to help you if you need it. They have recommended some great restaurants in the area for lunch and dinner
While other hotels raised their rated for New Yeas, That was not the case with Best Wesstern. Not only did we receive a good rate, but it came with a free breakfast which was wonderful, and the staff was amazing. They are the nicest people in the world. So helpful,
We booked three rooms for 4 days and let me just say it was a wonderful hotel to stay in. Was in town for my nephew Army Graduation and the hotel was decorated just for the graduation. It was so wonderful. The staff was super friendly and never rude not one time. The breakfast was AMAZING! Also has a casino right across the highway if you like to gamble! Has a BINGO hall right next to hotel and a ton of restaurants to choose from to eat out. This is the hotel to stay at if you are in the Lawton area.
I used to a slightly better standard for Best Western Plus. It has all required facilities, but dated, a bit dirty in places, housekeeping misses things during cleaning. Gym is just several treadmills, not even a simplest set of weights is in there. Great breakfast though.
If I am ever in Lawton, OK again we will deffintely be staying here. Staff is AMAZING and hotel was very clean. Thomas at the front desk was such a big help and so friendly and professional. We needed to check in a day early and stay an extra night. He assisted in all that without a glitch, along with quickly and easily handling all our other needs during our stay. Primella handles breakfast, which was one of the best I have experienced at a hotel. She was so sweet and helpful. She kept everything stocked and rolling. . We had a busy stay since my son was graduating from basic training at the Army base. 24 hour coffee in the lobby was an added bonus to keep mommy happy. Staying here was such a calming experience during our crazy week. My little one even got a chance to play her favorite video game on her birthday with her big brother, since they have a great game room with current systems and games. They even have hookups and large monitors so you can bring your own system if you like. Two pools, indoor and out. Time of year prevented us from using the one outside, but we enjoyed the indoor one. This is an older hotel but one of my favorites I have stayed at. Two doors, one to an interior hall and one to the parking lot from each room, made this easy access to the car and even taking our dog out. Also connecting rooms if needed. Great price. Housekeeping staff was awesome. Kevon was great. Took such good care of us and so sweet with our puppy. Thanks for making our trip to Lawton such an enjoyable one. See you all next time!
The rooms were not clean at all. There was a black hair on my daughters pillow when we arrived, dry blood on sheets, cobwebs on lights and bathroom was disgusting. The ATM was not working, one of the ice machines not working, the soap dispenser in the laundry room was not working.
We found roaches in the bathroom the last morning of our 2 day stay. I told them at checkout. They said they have it sprayed once a month. I expected some refund on my bill, but didn't even get a n offer.
This Best Western was pretty nice. It's location was a bit far from anything, maybe a 5 to 10 minute drive from Sheridan Rd or Cache, but there were restaurants, gas stations and multiple places around it such as a casino. The employees were very friendly and helped with all of our concerns, questions, and requests. A/C kept the room cool, bed was comfy, and room came with all the necessities. We both enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again.
the hotel is okay. we picked this particular hotel because it advertised 3 pools and we were traveling with 3 young children so this was a good way to release some energy. the pools were ICE cold! the staff was friendly and helpful. the breakfast was good and had options for everyone.
Inexpensive and clean , great breakfast safe location what more do you need . Indoor and outdoor pools clean and cold. No hot tub. Walking distance to casino if you have a craving for an amazing philly cheese steak at night.
excellent breakfast—lots of selection and very clean great location at freeway and 2 casinos nice amenities including microwave and refridgerator good clean room with bathroom that had good lighting and plumbing We will stay here again in a month or so. Note: in mid-February their pear trees are white along their back lot, along the casino entrance road
It's not a bad hotel. It looks a little chady at night, but it's actually okay. I've stayed here 6 times even though I live in Lawton. I let the alcohol at the casino take over and didn't want to drive drunk. Courteous staff, Clean facilities, and right off of the interstate. It's close to everything tou would need and something that you don't lol.
We originally had a rm on the 1st floor, but when we seen they had balconies, we asked for one of those (2nd fl.) No signs posted anywhere about no smoking on balconies or we would've kept the 1st rm. After we checked out & got home we noticed $150.00 pending in our acct.. We called the hotel & they said it was for smoking IN the rm & that they had pics to prove it. We finally received said pics, several days later.I agree the pics were taken in A rm,but whose rm & when? The pics aren't dated & one has a pic of a phone with the rm # whited out. Gotta wonder how many other people they've charged, using those same pics. We did ALL our smoking outside & used a beer can for the butts, not a plastic cup with the wrapper still on it & no water.
Very disappointed in my stay here. The pictures on the website are deceiving. I had a dead roach and a mouse in the room. The front desk gave an apology and said they did not have the authority to discount my stay. I would have expected a full refund but no such thing.
Stayed for wedding. 2 nights. Staff awesome! Breakfast good. Building in poor state. Needs to be rebuilt soon. Rain made several ceilings leak and hallway floods. Mildew smell everywhere. Extraction fans broken. Room super dark. Room spa broken and waste of water. Never again.
Convenient to Ft Sill. Lots of easy family suitable restaurants on Gore as well as other locations. Hallways were heavily sprayed with room deodorizer; my head immediately stuffed up; so this hotel is NOT good for people with allergies. The rooms had the same smell but not quite as heavy. The staff at the check-in desk greeted us with beautiful smiles and were very informative and the same for the breakfast staff. The breakfast consisted of real scrambled eggs and real scrambled eggs with peppers & sausage and depending on the day either bacon or sausage patties. The bacon was cooked perfectly. There's fresh whole fruit and sliced fruit and make your own pancakes & waffles plus lots of bread and bagel options and yoghurt and cereal. Lots of options to suit anyone's breakfast wants plus a sign that said ask for gluten-free & dairy-free options. The rooms were clean enough but tired looking although the bottom of the bathtub felt like it could have used a deeper clean. The pool area had a covered area with comfy seating; a great place to just hang with family at the end of the door. The pool had easy entry steps & and a handicap lift. There were plenty of pool towels available. Our room 149 on 1st floor. Other family on the second floor. After a heavy rain they told us there were buckets in the hallway to collects drips from the ceiling. We checked in on a Thursday and there was a Mgr Special complimentary cocktail & snack in the bar area; we were out with family so did not take advantage of this offer.
Located In the heart of Lawton very good location multiple restaurants very comfortable beds and very well ran hotel very good location also located right next to a casino or entertainment and the breakfast is really good
Great staff, great breakfast, pool and hotel for the price. We felt safe and we were close to everything. It was fun to have the casino close by. The soldiers loved the access to 2 xboxes and games. They were able to get their video game fix.
I stayed at this hotel while attending my daughter's graduation from boot camp at Fort Sill. Check-in was easy, and the staff was very friendly. Hotel room and bed was comfortable and clean. Good value for the money.
What we didn't like... the common area upstairs is hot! There are sections that smell a bit mildew. The pool needs work. The beds are hard (but what hotel beds aren't?) What we liked... the breakfast was surprisingly delicious! There are typically cookies, coffee and apples available in the lobby area at all times. There's a grill available by the pool. The rooms have wood floors (or laminate) instead of carpet. Overall, it felt clean in the room and we had no issues. This is a good place to hang out with your soldier while they are off base. It's about 10 minutes from base and there are lots of restaurant options nearby. As far as noise go, I only heard kids yelling when passing the door. Once in the bathroom, I heard the radio in the neighboring bathroom. Other than that, it was quiet. My parents were on the first floor (we were on the second) they had both an interior and exterior door. They were able to park right by their door. Knowing that, ask for a first floor room.
Very Nice Hotel and the Staff are all Friendly and was very professional!! Breakfast buffet was Awesome! Was here in April and came back due to Staff!! Very Clean Rooms and Had a Great Trip and will Come back!!! Thank you!
Worked with me on an early leave date. Very helpful throughout the stay. Needed an extra blanket and received it within 10 minutes. Breakfast was excellent and they kept it hot and well stocked. Will book again
Have never been to the area. Went by the review of others taking this same trip. Overall had a great stay. A few problems but that does happen. Price was reasonable. Would recommend to others. It's a short distance from the fort but within the allowed distance. It was nice to take our solider back to the room to chill out.
We arrived a couple hours before check in and the staff did their best to get us into the room early. Room was nice and had plenty of room for 3 people. Free pool table for guests, outside swimming pool was clean and used by lots of guests, close to casinos. Breakfast was great with tons of choices. The only thing that was a little concerning was the fact that there was traces of mold on the tub wall insert and the wall above it. I do believe a little elbow grease could have taken care of this.
Very friendly check in, clean room and a very good breakfast. Laundromat was above average. Within walking distance to Comanche Nation casino. A short drive to museums in Lawton and Duncan and close to the Wichita Mountains.
Was a good hotel now is run down and needs renovations and funding to fix key card readers for rooms. Beds were over used and lumpy, equipment didn't work and rear fire safety door you could not open with key card, had to walk around the building to access to get in. Room door keys readers did not work, fridge was not functioning, housekeeping was sub-par for the price we paid. Breakfast was good. but overall very poor condition.
I stay at this best western quite frequently. I always enjoy the breakfast the most. Rooms are clean, they are close to casinos so you don't have to worry about drinking and driving. They have a indoor and outdoor pool plus stuff to just relax outside.
We were in Lawton for BCT graduation and stayed here two nights. Comfortable beds, clean room, huge breakfast buffet, friendly desk staff and many amenities. Perfect for families coming to the area to visit their soldier. Highly recommend.
Very disappointed! The hotel looked very old and not clean at all, the side doors to the hotel were either not working or opened all the time, You're not going to feel secure at this place. The rooms, hallways smelled, inside our bathroom there was a wasp! so beware of bugs in the room. The bath towels had stains on them, so there's not Clorox to clean them? This was definitely not a place I would return to. We went for a few days, graduation, and I don't think, I'll be back here.
The staff were excellent and I would definitely be staying there again. They even brought the bartender in just for my birthday and that was awesome! The staff were so nice to my children and so accommodating to everything we needed.
I've seen this hotel from the highway before and decided to give it a try. I was very let down. It's very outdated for the price. The staff was excellent but I'd rather stay at Holiday Inn or Fairfield for the same price.
The air conditioner was broken in two rooms they checked us into. They “fixed” the second room but it didn't put out enough air to actually cool the room down. Plus the hotel has no shampoo. Just a bad experience all the way around.
The hotel was convenient to many restaurants and casinos. Hot breakfast is available daily. Very friendly staff! They have a lounge, fitness area and hot breakfast daily. The rates for the rooms are very reasonsable compared to others.
The hotel at the moment is being renovated. So request one of the newer rooms. The lounge is nice with a meal every night. I was told they are going to be adding a restaurant with a bar, so that will be nice.
I called the day before arriving at the hotel to see if I could possibly get an early check-in as I would be driving from Kansas to Oklahoma. I informed by the front desk agent Mikey that I would have to pay extra if I wanted to check in prior to 3 pm. When I expressed that I was an Platinum member he still told me that I would have to pay extra. Upon arriving at the hotel at 9 am the agent Monika on duty did not greet me. I asked if there was any way I can do an early check in and expressed that I was an elite member. She then told me I would have to go online and reserve my room. After I called and made my reservation I went to check in I was not acknowledged or thanked for being a loyal member nor was I offered my thank you bag. When I went to my room, the halls were really muggy and smelt of something awful. It has hot and the only elevator that we could find was at the front by the lobby had to walk through multiple doors just to locate my room. I went to crawl into my bed and noticed there was a stain on the sheets that resembled the shape of a mans private parts. There was a dead spider on my pillow, and both the fitted sheet and mattress protector was stained. I stripped my whole bed and asked for new sheets. I informed the hotel and their excuse was that it was a bleach stain. The floors were completely dirty. I stayed one day out of a two day reservation. I asked for my points back and yet nothing was done. This place is a joke. It does not deserve to carry the beat western plus logo. Very disappointed in the staff and how they handled my stay.
Check in and check out was quick and easy. The interior door to the outside was excellent for being able to just step outside for a smoke than to have to navigate a long hall, through a lobby or side door and out to the sidewalk or parking lot.
Lizl,Monica, and Jess were extremely helpful with booking/canceling several rooms for our company. They we all very helpful and we look forward to staying with your hotel again. Keep up the great work ladies you are all doing a great job. thank you to your team from all of us at Magnet Trucking.
We have stayed here several times and each time we have been greeted nice and friendly. There is afternoon refreshements in the bar and they were good. There is a shuttle to the casino next door. Our room was small and the elevator is very small. You also need to pay attention to the elevator as the controls are on a mirrored wall to your left. The bed in our room was comfortable but the pillows are small. The bathroom is crowed but the towels are great and the water pressure was good. Breakfast is wonderful and the seating area is large.
It was a very good trip. The staff was nice and professional. Great breakfast daily. Clean rooms. The pools were clean and the housekeeping staff was helpful when I asked for extra towel and bath clothes.
Excellent service from front desk and breakfast staff. A full breakfast served daily and in a timely manner. Greatly appreciated the shuttle service to and from the airport. There was some renovations being completed during my stay but they did not interfere with my stay.
I had a very pleasurable experience. The staff went above and beyond with any request I had. Its not the most modern hotel, but its comfy and well kept. I was there for my husband's military graduation, and this was the perfect place to get him off base and let him relax.
The location of the hotel is in the ghetto part of town, particular in the middle of some severely low income apartments. I believe they used some of the old apartment complex and oddly attached them to create a larger hotel. The elevator is almost large enough for two people but has no ventilation inside. The bar located in the lobby is very lively into the late hours and the receptionist said that it gets loud and rough in the hotel often. However the deal breaker was the overwhelming smell of smoke and mold in the corridors of the rooms, but the room it's self is on a separate ventilation system so it was tolerable. Overall the room appeared clean and newly renovated with several coats of paint and new counter tops. But when we pulled the sheets back on the bed there were bodily fluids all over the sheets and human hair everywhere. These are not stains!!! It was dried and crusty!!!We left at that point.
We arrived for our sons AIT Graduation, the staff was very welcoming, and made sure we knew where to park closest to our room. The rooms were decorated in a western theme, very clean. It was easy to get to Fort Sill. Which as stated before was the reason for our stay. When our son came back to the room for a little family time, the staff was extremely kind in offering the congratulations. I would stay here again.
The hotel was great in all aspects. But, after a long drive I would have liked to have had drink and a snack at the bar. I was told the restaurant and lounge were closed on the weekend due to competition with the nearby casino.
We really enjoyed spending four days at this Best Western for our son's graduation at Fort Sill. It became a nice home base for our family as it was convenient to the Army base and close to many choices of restaurants. The best part about our experience was the breakfasts each morning - a wide menu selection and our personal favorite was the french toast. The breakfast attendants were most attentive and we really felt the one attendant, Cedric went out of his way each morning with phenomenal service taking away our plates, providing refills and making sure all was well. Housekeeping was very good keeping our room clean each day. Another plus to the hotel is that we parked our vehicle right in from of our room door - most convenient. Not all rooms have this convenience so be sure to ask for a room on first floor with an adjacent parking spot
we found our self saying when we get back "home" then was ohh when we get the room it was a amazing place staff was sweet & breakfast was really good. The bathtub did stop up when taking a shower but wasnt that big of a deal all and all we enjoyed ourself
We really enjoyed our stay at the Best Western Plus. The breakfast was really great, the rooms clean, the beds comfortable, and the staff extremely nice. We would definitely stay here again. Our only complaints were that the halls smelled like stale smoke, the showers of the rooms next to us were extremely loud, and the doors to get into the halls were a little annoying to have to open with the key. It is an old hotel though, so we understand it is going to have its faults just because of that. Overall, though, it was a nice 2 night stay and we have recommended it to others.
Hotel is a little run down looking on the outside, But inside is nice. Clerks are very friendly. We were upgraded to a suite, which was very nice. Breakfast is Fast, Hot and really good! I would stay here again!
I had a very good experience the roads are nice and clean and they whole hotel was Immaculate the staff was very accommodating the breakfast was good we enjoy the amenities to pull the games I will be back Best Western won me over
Recently spent two nights at this property. I don't think I have ever encountered a more polite, courteous, helpful staff in any hotel. The breakfast room was large enough to handle the crowd. However breakfast was ruined one morning by a very loud and long cell phone conversation which could have waited for a few minutes or moved outside. Maybe a no cell phone rule?? The room was older but nice enough. Bed was comfortable. But the deal breaker was the bathroom. I don't think I have ever encountered a smaller bathroom. Made a cruise ship bathroom look spacious. Because of that, I will look around if I ever find myself in Lawton for an overnight stay.
The rooms weren't really clean. The furniture was outdated and the walls were so then I could hear the conversation of the family in the adjacent room. There was a 1 inch gap between the floor and exterior door.
At Ft Sill for graduation, planned & scheduled for 3 nights & upon arrival room wasn't ready, was told they would call us as soon as it was. Went to IHOP, never got the call. Couldn't clean up to show up for family day, we showed up like bums after an 11hr drive, not that our daughter cared but we did. Then, we get a call asking if we are still showing up to get our room or it's going to be cancelled. Haha! We were on our way, so I told the lady we'd be ther in 15 minutes or so, since visiting time was over. I explained the situation, she apologized but that was that. She said she was sorry no one called us in the early AM for us to take over our room when it was ready and left it at that. Any how, when we come back to Ft Sill to visit, we definitely won't stay here again. I don't recommend it. DAMP TOWELS, because they weren't dry enough, specially the pool ones. The bottom of the pool was slimy, gross. You could see the bubbles on the top. Kids splashing all over the place and diving into the pool even though it says NO DIVING and you can't say a word because you aren't the parents, specially when the parents are there and won't give a rat's ass.
The only problem I had with my stay was the pillows. They weren't very sleep friendly with the firm mattress. Other than the pillows, I had a very good experience. The staff was very friendly and accommodating and the breakfast was excellent.
The front desk staff was very accommodating for my late check in, the room was cozy and clean, the housekeeping staff was friendly, and the security staff were all great!! Everything was perfect in this stay.
A great place for your next stay in Lawton Okla. Perfect location, close to Ft. Sill for Army graduations, shopping at the mall just a few blocks away. I highly recommend it. The rooms are quite spacious, two pools, indoor and outdoor. The staff are courteous and make your stay quite pleasant right from the start !!
Really enjoyed this hotel. Lots of upgrades since I stayed here last. Really clean and peaceful. Rooms were super clean and organized. Close to places to eat. Awesome lounge with pool table. Water in indoor pool was nice and warm. Keep up the good work!
We dove up and the outside looked sketchy to the husband and I but we went in any ways. It was WAY better than I thought. It was clean and smelled clean. The lady at the front desk was very helpful and the people who worked in the breakfast area was a delight! Highly recommend this location.
This is not a newer style hotel, but it is clean and the hotel staff is extremely customer service motivated. They ave very helpful. The ice machines on both sides on the bottom floor did not work, but the staff was always willing to go to the kitchen and fill our ice bucket.
This is an older hotel, the rooms are a little dated and small but not bad for price and location. Very clean room, very friendly staff, good breakfast options with nice heated indoor pool. Easy access on/off highway and right next door to the casino which provided some great entertainment! Perfect place to stay for quick overnight trip.
Good for the price. Clean, good location, friendly staff, and great breakfast! Issues were ..it leaked in the main hall when it rained. You can hear your neighbor shower which woke us up. No room service or pay movies.
The staff at the hotel are always so friendly and accommodating We usually come here for motorcycle trips. The lady at the front desk allowed us to park at the reservation area which is great as out room was on the back side of the hotel.
Very large motel that was kept very clean. I like our suite as it was roomy and had a privacy door between the bedroom area and the sitting area. The price for this convenience was very reasonable. The breakfast was very good...lots of variety and good food. Outside pool area was gorgeous. Mattress was very comfortable. Just a few minutes from Ft. Sill.
Hotel has recently changed hands and new owner is in the middle of remodeling property. Our room was basic, but clean. The staff was AMAZING, especially Sheryl and Chadwick. The breakfast buffet was good too. When you first pull up, it is nothing pretty, and the run down apartments right next door don't help, but give it a shot. We paid $69/nt and thought it was a decent price when your hot breakfast is included. They also have indoor and outdoor pools, a gym, a lounge/bar, however it is not open on Saturday nights, which was strange, but the there is a Casino right across the parking lot with a bar and restaurant. But again, I have to say the staff was awesome! They make the property!
Very close to Fort Sill and easy to access. The rooms are small and average condition. Clean, but, a slight odor. I expected this for the price and the fact that they allow pets. Stayed a full week and got used to it....so must not be as bad as my initial impression. Hotel is huge and lots of walking around areas. Nice pools. Indoor and outdoor. Best part over all was the breakfast staff!!! Don't know his name specifically, but, they have a host/cook that is very funny and greets everyone with a smile. He even starts to remember you each morning and makes you feel welcome. That guy needs a raise!!!!! Please tip him as he doesn't need to go the extra mile to make sure you're happy with breakfast! You'll know him if you talk to him. The food is above average ... actually great....for a buffet style breakfast and it's part of the room package. In fact, it would cost my family over $30 to eat out each morning....factor in that and the room prices seem like a steal then!!!! Will stay here next time!
I've stayed at this motel in the past, and it has gone down hill. The room was dark, so cleanliness was a little hard to tell. The bathroom was clean, but I had to go to the desk to get a roll of TP.Toilet filled every 15 minutes, which was noisy and affected the shower. Ironically, I reported that when I was checking out and a guy was there visiting with the woman who checked me out. The maintenance man I think. He told me the seal was leaking. I said "Yeah. I know. It needs a new flapper." Ha ha.Water pressure was almost non existent at the sink.Breakfast area was not clean. You could see the grease on the food containers, and feel it on the salt and pepper containers. To kind of top that off, there was a guy who took breakfast tickets, who just stood around, occasionally checking out what was on TV.There are a lot of motels in Lawton. You can probably find a better deal.
Our stay at the hotel was wonderful. The staff was amazing & the breakfast was great. The Hotel was very convenient for us to find & easy to get to. It could use a good cleaning of the carpets in the hallways & a few updates but overall it was really good.
Room was clean and newly renovated, but still an older motel. Room stunk from either fresh paint or glue from remodeling. Room was also damp from poor ventilation. Other two complaints was there were 3 towels in the room for 4 people and 2 breakfast tickets for 4. The front desk easily fixed the last two but each time we had to ask for the fourth towel after staying 3 nights and get additional breakfast tickets. Left window open most of the time and that helped with the smell and damp. Undecided if we would stay again or pay a bit more to upgrade to a better hotel. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
Stood 3 nights here for a military graduation. Had 3 rooms for multiple family members. We did get adjoining rooms. The rooms were clean. Breakfast was good. But they have a obvious water problem. The whole hotel smells musty. Very strong. After a while I think we got used to it,but when we would leave and come back it was very strong again. The hotel is dated with a tiny elevator that looks like a normal door and easy to miss. It's very easy to go in the parking lot and pass it up driving into an apartment complex. Make sure you turn right as soon as you get into a parking lot. Overall not bad. But that smell is strong.
The roof was leaking and the bartender was awful. I mean she was the worst. Terrible drinks, couldn't remember who ordered what drink, didn't give but one get one coupons as expected. Only redeeming thing is the staff at the front desk. They were sweet, funny, and engaging.
Lawton is a small town in the middle of the country, therefore expect a laid back attitude and you will find it to be friendly and relaxing. The airport is a small building that takes you back to 1960s flying, which is quaint and promises what is to come. The BW is a convention center, right next to a casino, if you want to liven things up. The area prices are as cheap as chIps. The hotel itself is clean, but dated and it is surprising that there are limited resources such as pillows, when it is busy. That being said, it is comfortable the rooms are spacious and it does have great facilities such as pools, a gym, laundry room and a lovely bar. I would recommend it as value for money, if you just want to chill.
The staff checking in was very nice along with the crew in the dining area for breakfast, they were amazing. After we went to our room, it was overlooking the trash area in back of the hotel. The bathroom was not cleaned as my young son found a couple boxes and pregnancy tests in the restroom. This was not cool. Then when my young son used the rest room, the toilet plugged up so we had to have maintenance come to unclog the toilet. We were switched to another room but never really got an apology or anything else. The elevator is way too small. The outdoor pool was dirty and in the fitness center, the only equipment I wanted to use was the treadmill, yep it was broken. Too many problems with this hotel. I would find a nicer one if you are going to travel here.
We stayed here for 4 days. They never changed our bed linens. Never cleaned our room till the fourth day and all they did then was make the bed and halfway cleaned the bathrooms still never changed the bed linens. They said they didn't come in the room because we had our two min pens with us. This is suppose to be a pet friendly hotel. Our dogs was in a crate and we told them they was. Still never cleaned our room. I will never stay at a Best Western again.
Visited Fort Sill, To see my brother Graduate last week the hotel is dated but they are renovating it. The Front service is amazing And Breakfast is the best. Cedric is awesome That's what I call premier service.
I stayed here as I was riding in the Hotter than Hell bike tour in Wichita Falls. It appears to be a well used hotel with a lot of occupants. My room had been remodeled and was clean. The drawing card seemed to be the outdoor pool. It was busy and had a bar. The indoor bar/restaurant was nice. Staff was friendly and check in/out was a breeze. Its a real nice location off I-44 on Gore.
This is an older motel, but is being remodeled. The room was clean, and bed very comfortable. The staff was very helpful and pleasant. The breakfast was delicious offering many items. There was a large outdoor pool with spacious patio area. Plenty of room for several guests to sit and visit.
Yes, it's an older hotel in need of spiffing up, but if you are looking for helpful, cheerful and engaging staff, THIS is the hotel in Lawton, OK for you. When we first pulled up, I was a little concerned because the hotel has exterior doors on the first floor and the parking lot was full of work trucks (obviously housing a lot of contractors from the area). Again, the hotel is older, but the inside was clean and well appointed. Young lady at the desk could not have been nicer or more helpful. Our rooms were on the first floor, but there are interior halls--yes, our room could be accessed from the outside, but honestly, this made it easier to load/unload our suitcases, plus, it had a very sturdy security lock so we never felt unsafe. The interior halls have access doors--the halls themselves had to be accessed by keys and remained locked at all times. So safety was not an issue. In addition to a great pool area, the hotel has a huge game room for video games set up with comfortable chairs, huge TV screens and X-boxes! Everyone we encountered, from the housekeeping ladies to the porters and maintenance workers were happy and cheerful--everyone looked happy to be at work. The breakfast buffet was great--freshly scrambled eggs--both plain and "special" style (scrambled with onions and peppers); fluffy biscuits, an assortment of breads and small pastries (mini muffins, danish), make-your-own waffles, yogurt, cereals--along with sausage gravy and grits. The proteins changed daily--crispy bacon or sausage patties. Juice, milk, coffee and tea rounded everything out. The breakfast staff was also great--cheerful, welcoming, and always working, working, working to keep pans full and tables cleaned. Cedrick was especially helpful--clearing away plates, offering to get refills of juice--he was also extremely friendly and kept all the guests laughing. By the time we left we felt like friends and family and cannot thank the staff of the Best Western enough for making our stay so great.
I cant complain at all. Its very close to everything: fort sill base, visitors center, restaurants, lawton airport. everybody that worked there from 7/25/18 to 7/28/18, were very very nice. they answered all my questions. The free breakfast was very good, a buffete with eggs, cream, waffle.maker woth lots of toppings, cereal, coffe milk, lots of other things and i had like 3 plates every day. I was at room 211 and it was very clean and comfy. My soldier loved being relaxed and I will definetly stay there again.
I can tell you when we got there 3 hours early the staff was super friendly getting us our rooms. They were happy to upgrade to a suite for us because we had talked about the horrible experience with Airbnb. They made sure they let us know that they were there if we needed anything. The air conditioners decided to cut off and on alot but they had the tech Bryann running around. that guy was always nice about calling him in the room several times. He worked around the clock making sure air conditioners were working.Mind you 118 degrees they were working overtime. We were happy with the owner checking in on us and complimentary drinks one night due to the air. The place was a nice stay and breakfast was good. I felt comfortable and did not have no complaints yes its older but believe me this NY girl complains. each time I called they took care of anything in a timely matter and super friendly. I would say if you want a great place that does not cost a bunch . THIS PLACE IS IT!!!!
This place is a dump. It looks to be an old apartment complex turned into a hotel. Nothing about this place was worth it. I was afraid I would get robbed. One night the police did show up over something. Old and outdated. Don't waste your time or money. Bad location in my opinion.
My family spent two days at this motel. It was clean with good staff and a good breakfast. However, if you are elderly, this place is not very accommodating. We had my 90 year old mother in law with us. They only had one very small elevator in the middle of the motel as you walk in and our room was on the second floor at the end of a very long hallway which has ramps you had to go up and down on every time you went and came back.
Don't know how this BW has a Plus designation. The whole place is old and very used. Check-in was awkward. Two couples on bikes and another gentleman before me. Took a while. Bikers asked when Bar opens, response "not open tonight". This was A Sat. night on Memorial Day weekend. The bar and restaurant was a factor in choosing this hotel for all of us in line checking in. They called the bartender and she did come in, but the restaurant never opened and food choices were not in the area. Very odd. But all that I could live with. My room - very dark and dank. Not comfortable at all. Everything old and tattered. Just smelled old. Owners should seriously think of demolishing and completely rebuilding. If you want to call the price redeeming, it took my rating up to a poor.
Picked this hotel to stay in because of reviews and pictures of pool area......a little deceiving. Room was reasonably clean...cobwebs in corner with bugs, bathroom clean and bed linens clean. Carpet needs to be replaced and in hallways also. Pool area was nice and well kept. Outdoor lawn area in back of hotel rooms needs to be mowed and limbs and trash picked up. Breakfast was better than average, just had to wait for things to be refilled. Staff seemed overwhelmed with number of people on weekend.
I've stayed at this property at least a dozen times over the last 10 years with no real problems. I remember thinking that this place--slightly worn--must've on the lower end of the Best Western (BW) approval scale, even as a basic property. Even so, I kept going back because (a) I needed to stay in Lawton and (b) BW has my favorite rewards plan. In other words, I wanted the points. I see now that it has a Plus rating. This evening I called ahead to reserve a room and requested one with a desk and an office chair, as usual. The desk clerk said there was no list and therefore she had no way of knowing how the rooms were equipped. She did say that she would ask the maintenance man to look before I got there. By the time I arrived the man hadn't had a chance to look, so she upgraded me to a suite. I drove to the entrance near my room (other end of the building), only to find out that my keys didn't work. I called the front desk to let them know; she said that the door lock was broken and that parts were on order. I wonder why she didn't tell me that before I drove around to my room? She sent the maintenance man to let me in the building (my keys did work on my room door). Upon entry to the hallway I noticed that the carpet was worn and hadn't seen a vacuum in quite a while. The property is "shop worn" enough that I'm surprised it earned a Plus rating. Once in my room, you guessed it--no desk or office chair. I went back to the front desk and checked out. Based on today's experience, I grade this property "Super 8+". That is all.
We'd made our reservations in advance---however there was something going on at Fort Sill, so when we arrived & me using a cane, as we approached the desk, the girls were chattering, then we realized they were full so had fun with them, as they tried to apologize there were no rooms available. Then we shared we had rooms & their laughter was so cute to see we'd pulled one over on them, as they said they hated to say NO ROOMS to us. The help went above & beyond when asked if we were there for what ever was going on at Fort Sill & we said No we were meeting with a nieces daughter & her son. When asking where we might find a place for us to meet for breakfast they quickly gave us tickets for my nieces daughter & son to eat Free with us for breakfast, which made for a much better visit without worrying of giving up a table. They didn't have a Handicap room so they gave us a room with two beds--again super nice. They did everything to make our stay welcoming. Close to two Casino's, other stores & eateries
We went to Lawton, OK for our son's graduation from Fort. Sill. Had a very good visit. The hotel is very close to Fort. Sill and there is a lot of restaurants close by. They have a very good continental breakfast free of charge. Would stay here again for sure.
Everything was great! The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was delicious. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The facilities were awesome- great choice of pools. The courtyard was soothing and comfortable . The teens thoroughly enjoyed the game room. It had something for the entire family.
The room smelled like smoke, was dated and not up to the standards of hotels across the highway. The best part was the breakfast, which was decent for a hotel lobby. Overall, I wouldn't rec staying at this hotel if you can get a room at any of the newer versions within 1/4 mile.
I really enjoyed staying here. I've been staying here for the past 9 months during the week for business. The rooms are clean my bed was comfortable. Service was excellent. Furniture is a little outdated for the rooms but still okay. The pool was nice. It's been redone and looks really good. The lounge and Bar is nice and convenient. Service is good to bar.
The hallways and therefore the rooms smell old and moldy. The showers do not work and I almost pulled the tub fill out of the wall trying to activate the shower head. This hotel could be great with some updating and deep cleaning.
While the hotel is older, the room was very satisfactory. While we didn't use the pools - there is both an indoor and an outdoor pool - or the fitness center, but they both looked inviting. We used the lounge one evening and the staff was great and the snacks were good and filling. The breakfast staff was beyond wonderful.
The staff was very pleasant. Denise and Ashley especially. I will be back to this hotel my next trip to Lawton. Breakfast was delicious. Hotel was very clean. It could use a few updates but overall great place.
Room had a nasty odor. The heating unit had a loud noise the could not be repaired by maintenance. Our outside door lock didn't work, and it could not be repaired either. Never stay at this property again.
Every employee in this motel is amazing. We travel quite often so we absolutely know a top motel from a bad one. From the front desk, breakfast room, cleaning crew, most courtesy, kind employees we have come in contact with in a very long time. Breakfast was outstanding. Court yard for pets outstanding. Yes it's an older motel but not bad at all. We would rate this motel 10+
This property is in desperate need of an upgrade! The room Decour was disgusting! I actually had an outdoor patio table in my room! Building look as though it was in the state of disrepair. Carpets in the hallway was filthy! The courtyard was trashy. The only redeeming quality of this property are the front desk clerks. If they had looked as bad as the property did, I would not have check in here! I was afraid to explore the rest of the property in fear of what I would find! So I did not use any of the amenities.
We booked this based on good reviews on Travelocity. The room was clean. The hot breakfast included scrambled eggs and sausage. The staff was friendly. The inside was a pleasant surprise after driving up to the hotel. Staying here was ok. We had no trouble—and the room was comfortable. Please just know that the area is sketchy—in a state of decline, but the hotel itself is good. There is a sad, abandoned apartment complex behind this hotel that concerned me, but our room faced 44, and it was far enough that we did not hear traffic and slept well.
This is the third hotel in Lawton in which I stayed over the last 7 months. It is not the newest or most modern, but it is the cleanest and friendliest, and the breakfast was the best. It is my new go-to hotel for future trips.
On the plus side - staff is very pleasant especially Denise and Kathryn. Free shuttle to and from Lawton Airport, Breakfast included with your room price (NOTE: eat-in only! If you have handicapped or ill people in your party do not expect to be able to bring food to the room even if you have their meal ticket )Rooms mostly clean except for the long, black hairs on the shower wall. I wasn't going to write this review because I was told that there were new owners and assumed they were going through growing pains. But, after reading other reviews, I see that this "excuse" has been being used for months. Down side - different smells depending on where you are - musty, old and people were clearly smoking somewhere inside. The main areas were dirty, not vacuumed the entire 3 days we were there. The main areas are drab and depressing. There were at least 6 trash barrels in the 2nd floor hallway collecting water pouring from the ceiling. My mother tripped on a shop vac cord left lying across the hallway mid-morning. Sketchy apartments behind the hotel. There are plenty of hotels in Lawton. Do yourself a favor and stay in any one but this one.
Booked the hotel online without ever seeing it in person. We were hesitant because it's not in the “hotel strip” and was small and older with an extended stay complex next door. So it looked sketchy. Walked in asked to see a room before we committed and were met with a super clean room with everything we needed. Not fancy or cushy. We had a two bed/two bathroom suite and every morning we had a fantastic hot buffet breakfast! The staff were super friendly and seemed to enjoy being there! There's a even heated indoor pool! I wish it had been summer because the outside pool/bbq area was really pretty. Don't let the outside/surrounding area fool you. This is the place to stay.
Stayed here for Army boot camp graduation. Definitely is an older hotel in need of upgrades and remodeling. Room showed it age and wear and tear. We chose the room with the living room suite so we could sit and relax with our soldier. Honestly was not worth the price we paid when talking with other army parents who stayed at other hotels. Prob worth spending a little bit extra to stay in newer hotel. We stayed on 2nd floor and was not disturbed by other hotel guests, was quiet. I will say that all staff we encountered were wonderful and polite. Breakfast was good with an assortment beyond your basic cereal and bagels. Nothing in walking distance so plan on using your car to go eat, shop etc. Hotel is located in rather odd spot with older apartments around it as well as casino. Restaurant on site runs limited time and days with sparse selection.
I have nothing negative to say about this hotel. There are recent renovations and more improvements are in progress. I was in a group of 6 with three rooms. We traveled to Lawton for an Army basic training graduation. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great and staff kept things impeccably clean and the food very fresh.
After reading some of the reviews I had a question if I had picked the right hotel. Upon arriving I realized this is a hotel my daughter stayed at 20 years ago when she was transferred to Lawton for her job. That being said the hotel is old and was not a BW back then. The lobby needs a face lift but one in the room the rooms were clean very clean and I stay in hotels about 33 nights a year. The service was great front desk very helpful the breakfast was very good. This is a very busy hotel so yes the halls could use some updating and or cleaning but with the traffic I can understand why something could be overlooked. All in all I would say it was one of the better stays for the money.
Bring your slippers the floor in very cold, put new floors in and its not carpet!! (Don't like the floors COLD) Not happy that the Lounge/bar was not open and that the Restaurant is no longer open. (One of the reasons I wanted to stay there)
Misled by staff, and pre-reservation was ignored. Breakfast was ok, but was left un-maintained by staff. No eggs, hard biscuits...etc. soon temperature was hard to maintain. Matress was lumpy. OOvernight staff was good.
This hotel leaves a lot to be desired. Ants in our bathroom, stale wheat bread, dry potatoes at breakfast. Not terrible given the price but they could definitely improve. Not sure what the plus is supposed to imply since it wasn't high quality.
Staff was great. Desk staff suggested restaurants and provided directions. Breakfast staff was great as well, acting almost like a waiter. I've never seen that at a hotel self-serve breakfast. Room was very dated and my allergies kicked in from something. Exterior also dated and could use more lighting to feel safer.
The overall appearance of the hotel is shabby and old. We saw a mouse in the guest room. The treadmill is broken and floor is filthy in exercise room. The indoor pool area depressing. The bed was comfortable and breakfast was good.
This hotel is not nice on the eyes but the staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. Our room was a good size, however the bathroom is small. The room was clean, bed was comfortable, loved the quietness of the night, and breakfast was very good. I am pleasantly surprised to say I would stay there again. We did not take advantage of the pool areas so I cannot report, however, there is an indoor and outdoor pool.
Best Western Plus in Lawton is conveniently located just off I-44, making it a perfect location for visiting Fort Sill in Lawton or Sheppard AFB in Wichita Falls. The property is older but seemed to be well maintained. Rooms were very clean and staff, especially Denise at front desk, helpful and friendly. We took advantage of the indoor pool and were impressed by its warmth and by it not having an overwhelming chemical smell. That is a good sign of good maintenance; one didn't have to mask "anything" with high level of chlorine. Perhaps our only minor complaint was that the restaurant was not open the evening we checked in. On the other hand, it was a Sunday evening and the motel was not very full so if I were in charge, I probably wouldn't have tried to staff a kitchen either. Denise suggested the casino for our meal. The casino and the motel parking lot adjoin so it was convenient. The food at the casino was good and reasonably priced.
This hotel is a bit old and the rooms are not the best. But the staff are so nice and they got you to feel comfortable and welcome. The girl in the front desk (Denise) got us to stay and she really helped us in the very best way. Even the experience of the breakfast was very positive as the lady (Primella) offered us top service. The rooms where OK but not more.
The price was good for the size of room we got. The staff were all welcoming and very friendly. The facility was obviously older & outdated and a couple of minutes further from the base but everything was very clean.
Had to go to my sons graduation from basic training the best Western had a awesome breakfast and we're not skimpy at all rooms were clean and roomy the staff went out of their way , I highly recommend it
The breakfast was the best, ever! Two types of scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits and gravy, grits, pastry, bread, on-and-on! Three pools. Only minutes from Fort Sill. There's the Comanche Nation next door.
Here for Army Graduation. Had a 2 room suite which was perfect for our 3 day stay. 1 room had the beds etc and the second had additional bathroom with chairs, table and sofa which made it nice for get-togethers with family and friends with our son off base. Patio out side the back side of our room would have been nice to set in enjoy if weather would have been warmer. This was the PERFECT place for what we needed. All the employees were very friendly and helpful.
Hotel was easy to find but a bit difficult to get to main entrance. It could use some in depth cleaning and maintenance. Looks to be popular with truckers and higher end construction workers. Beds were comfortable and room was quiet with access outdoors on the ground floor.
Everything was to my needs. Everyone I encountered was courteous and friendly. Every morning I enjoyed a laugh from a staff member. It was the most memorable exerperience. Every employee was Very helpful and knowledgeable . I would recommend your place and stay again Gladly. Thank You Best Western.
This hotel was probably the best I've stayed at in many years. My daughter loved the pool and my son loved the gaming room! The outside appearance may throw you off, as it is an older hotel. But the interior is beautiful and clean. The staff is amazing! They went out of their way numerous times to accommodate our requests. Would definitely stay here again, was a great experience!
As a army mom this was the best place to stay very close to the base and everyone was very nice and helpful. The food was great and the casino was just a little plus to enjoy the trip . I will makes sure to tell friends and family next time we come this way again.
We arrived mid afternoon as we were too late to get passes at Fort Sill visitors center on Sunday afternoon. Passes were necessary as we wanted to visit the grave site of Geronimo and other followers of his. The young lady at the front desk was very pleasant and when we told her about not getting the passes, she asked if we had any plans for the remainder of the day. When we answered nothing, she suggested we might like the wildlife nature center. She also suggested we should drive up Mount Scott. We did both and really enjoyed the scenery. Breakfast the next morning was exceptional. Food was hot and delicious. The layout of the serving dishes left plenty of room for everyone to move along without feeling crowded. We will definitely stop here again.
We stayed one night. The room was neat, clean & comfortable. The price was very reasonable. I was especially impressed with the designated smoking area. It was like a park with lights, patio furniture, and ash trays available. I liked that it was just outside the back door to the room and it was totally secure. This is something that needs to be done at all hotels. Thank You!!
Room was exactly what we needed at a great rate. Breakfast was yummy, but it was the interaction with staff members that made the difference. Each staff member was amazing. If ever I'm in OK again, I'm going back to BW.
I'd like to know who determines how a Best Western qualifies as a Best Western Plus? This hotel has more issues than I care to mention, but here are a few, peeling paint, doors that won't close, water stained carpet, water stained ceiling tiles every where, faded paint, doors and walls that look like they've been painted over 10 times, faded and torn carpet, damaged fixtures in the rooms, non working handicap doors in the lobby. Has anyone from corporate office ever paid a visit to this property? I doubt it because if they had this wouldn't even meet the standards of a regular BW. We would have checked out if there were another BW around here to stay at. Oh and we are Bestwestern Rewards platinum rewards members, and this has nothing to do with the rate we paid. Someone told us it used to be an apartment complex but that I can't confirm. I've never posted anything negative about BW and I feel bad posting this but I really felt people need to know before they book.
Hotel needs new facelift. Not sure how it became a BW Plus. First room full of mosquitoes due go door out of plumb. Second room was better. All were dimly lit. Breakfast is ok and the front desk ladies were extremely kind and helpful.
The staff were unusually courteous and helpful. The lodgings were greatly in need of cleaning and repair as the carpeting seemed dirty, the walls dinged up and needing paint, the door locks worn with intermittent operation. Maintenance seemed to have fallen a few years behind schedule. With the exception of the staff, this location should not be accorded a BW Plus title.
I've stayed in this motel many times and I've always felt it was a bargain for the price. It is an older hotel, but the rooms are clean and the hotel staff takes care of the customer. It's located right off the main road.
Hotel easy on/off access to highway and Ft Sill BCT graduation. Two local casinos near by if interested. Staff very friendly and courteous. Breakfast was great, scrambled eggs, potatoes, sausage, waffle maker and all the other breakfast food norms. Outdoor pool closed for season but had small indoor pool available. The suite was good for our get together with family/friends who also stayed at this hotel. Had a nice access to patio area with direct door access from our room. Room cleanliness was ok.
We were very disssaappointed in this property Our room was very dated lights dim flies and knats all over room. Was told we could use outside door to our room but it would not open and we got a very unpleasant shower experience. My feet actually got burned from the scalding water. It went from cold to hot several times.
Was given a "suite" as I am a diamond select member. The suite was two adjoining rooms one of which had been converted into a living room. The bathroom in one side had not been cleaned, there was blood on the floor and latex gloves and other medical waste in the trash can. Neither side of the room was cleaned on the second day of our stay and I HS to go to the desk for clean towels. The breakfast was not up to normal Best Western standards. The area outside that used to be tennis courts was in disrepair and overgrown with weeds. There was a stench outside the hotel although probably not in their control.
its was Family stay combined with business, We had to stop. to tired to continue on Road and when we arrived the staff was very welcoming> wish the bar at the Hotel woulda been open. Other than that we got to REST and got the room we wanted. Very peaceful stay.
Bugs found in room, staff assisted us to move rooms. Second night I awoke to a large beetle crawling on my face. We moved hotels and requested refund. Partial refund granted and owner was incredibly rude.
Had a great stay. Staff was exelect and any questions I had they made them selves very available to help. Check I'm and check out was easy. I felt comfortable the entire time I was there. I would defiantly recommed the hotel.
The employees are nice but that is the only good thing about this hotel. Dirty, stinks like old cigarette smoke. Tiles falling in the hallway due to rain. Ants and beatles (cockroaches?) in beds/rooms. Stay anywhere else, really. I'm not a very picky person, but this place is a dump and should be torn down or at least closed by the Health Department.
GREAT staff and great value. Room was clean and all amenities were in place. Check in and check out was a breeze! Highly recommended the property. Good restaurants near by. Kathryn at the front desk was VERY helpful and friendly. Ray, of property security was great.
There was mice in my room and had to ask twice for traps. Could not change rooms because they had no more. The shower was also jury-rigged to work with the wrong appliances which made it difficult to use
During my stay we encountered a mouse in our room, non working hall access, loud guests in surrounding rooms, non working phone in room, non working hairdryer, staff who didn't seem to care very much and didn't offer to make things right. I should ha e left after the first night but was in a business trip and had little time to pack up and find alternate accommodations.
Stayed here for a hiking trip at the mountains. Nice hotel with an indoor and outdoor pool. Full hot breakfast included eggs, bacon, biscuits and gravy, grits, toast, pastries, cearal, waffles and much more. Will stay again, for sure. My only bad thing was you could not enter your room from the outside. You could go out it but not in it.
We enjoyed every aspect of this experience. Friendly staff, great room rate (booking ahead saves!) fast internet, and great breakfast! We will definitely return! The hotel was very nice and the indoor pool was cozy and clean!
very happy with our stay there, even more happy with the customer service! Thank you to Denise at Best Western for all of her help and patience. We truly appreciated her help. The rooms were clean and the bedding looked new. Lots of hot water and hair dryer.
We stayed here after having to come into town at the last minute for a family emergency. We were traveling from Arizona and would not arrive until 2am the hotel assured us we would not have any issues and we did not. I would say we were in our room within 7 minutes of our arrival the staff was very friendly including all the security, house keeping and breakfast area workers. The hotel is dated but clean the outdoor pool was very nice with lots of seating the indoor pool smelled of mold. The two bedroom suite we had was confusing we had two queen beds in one room then a living room in the other room with two bathrooms but the room was in good shape and clean which is all you really need. The breakfast was hot but repetitive if you stayed very long would have preferred some healthier options but for a free breakfast you can't complain. Overall when we come back we won't hesitate to stay again. This hotel will give you easy access to the casino, restaurants and shopping. Fairly easy off/on from the interstate.
Definitely would stay again. Very accommodating and friendly staff who will go out of their way to make your experience a very good one. It is under new management and rennovations are under way. Great breakfast with many choices. Pools clean with fresh towels. Great variety of outside furnishings and accommodations such as multiple gas grills. Fitness room with good variety of equipment. And the coffee was "great."
It was great the building under repair but if you had a problem they fixed it right away would stay again and again. Most friendly staff I've had at hotels before and best bar prices I've had at a bar before
looking for a great place and safe, look no more, ive been going to lawton for 16 yrs now for 3 days and ive stayed in several places and take my word, look no more, its very clean, freindly, quite, priced right,
The staff is absolutely the best! The room could use a little updating but the customer service is phenomenal! The free breakfast choice is wonderful. We love this Best Western and will make a point to stay there again when the time comes.
This is a Great place to stay. The staff is always friendly and helpful. You get a real breakfast. Its conveniently located on I-44. I've stay here multiple times and its always the same great service. I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Lawton.
Awesome place to stay. Staff upgraded us to suites just because they could. Clean rooms. Nice pools. Friendly and helpful staff. Always willing to offer help. Breakfast staff was awesome with great choices in food.
I don't understand the negative reviews....this place is great for the price especially! My husband and I stayed in 133, the king suite, and it was so comfortable and roomy. The breakfast was really good too. All the staff were exceptionally friendly, and went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. This is an older hotel, with a stucco style look on the outside, but they definitely have kept it up well. I would absolutely come back and would recommend it to my family and friends if they are ever in the area!
Night shift desk clerk and security were very concerned with my safety and should be commended! I definitely will stay here again! My husband and I picked this hotel as it was next to a casino we were going to.
Ever stay in a hotel where you want to keep your socks on in the room the whole time - even during the night when you need to use the bathroom? Well, that was this place. The last update of this place was probably 30 years ago, at least (the lime-green wall was a bit of a shock!). Although the room seemed relatively clean, it still had a grungy feel to it. Bathroom was small with no exhaust fan. The bed was adequate. The hallways and common areas were atrocious - absolutely filthy. The outside areas were full of overflowing trash receipticals, lots of cigarette butts, cups, cans, etc. I couldn't bring myself to partake of the complementary breakfast, but I did grab a decent cup of coffee from the buffet and decided to sip it out by the pool. The pool area was no better than the rest of the place as far as cleanliness and the chairs, etc. were still wet with morning dew (I found a discarded towel to wipe them down a bit). No way would I stay here again.
Hotel was very old and dated. Service was exceptional just not what I excepted from Best Western Plus. Not sure what could be done except total revocation. Outside pool was nice but pictures are very deceiving. Breakfast was very nice maybe why it's listed as BW Plus not sure. Just not what I excepted.
So far the staff has been very friendly and accommodating. However when we checked in our room was #159 and holy moly the mold/mildew smell was overwhelming, the front desk was kind and switched our room to #104 which is a little better.. these are the things that I noticed. Among the mildew/ mold smell the molding along the edges of the wall is coming off and has black stuff under it, there were dead bugs on the rug, the door casing looks as though it has been flooded several times and is all damaged, you can see light out the bottom of it, the wallpaper is tearing off the wall and none of the vents were cleaned, Also the pool had sand and Rocks in it, we took the tv remote out of the bag and it literally fell apart in our hands and the outside grounds look like they haven't been maintained all year. I try to keep a nice yard and I have say that's probably the majority of people, when they stay at a hotel it would be a good idea to have the lawn mowed and last years leafs raked as well as have the cigarette butts picked up. I'm bringing this to your attention because I can see the potential of this hotel and it being a quality place to stay, However my experience here has been less than quality. After this experience I can not ever see myself booking at a Best Western again Also Just found 3 tiny ants in our bed along with another bug. Not bed bugs but still gross and a roach in the sink.
This appeared to be an older building but the furnishings all seem new. I think it was a great deal for the money. If you have friend or relative graduating from basic at Fort Sill, this is a great place to stay. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
The hotel is a little out dated, however the staff and breakfast are amazing. Centrally located near food, casinos and shopping not to far away. Only Stayed one night but it was a good stay with very friendly staff.
Very friendly staff. The most amazing pool. The rooms are very clean and extremely quiet. The breakfast bar is very good with a variety of food. There is a gaming room for children. The location is very quiet and easy to get to places to eat as well as shopping.
While this may not be the newest hotel in the area, we were pleasantly surprised by the excellent customer service, cleanliness and comfort of this hotel. The breakfast buffet was also a plus, offering a nice variety of hot foods and extended breakfast hours on the weekends for us late sleepers. The hotel was very quiet and our room was spacious and comfortable, offering several chairs, a couch and desk. My mother is disabled, and the ADA accessible room was excellent, affording a roll in shower and plenty of room for her to maneuver both in the restroom area as well as the remainder of the room. This is an area in which details are often overlooked, and we were both happy to see how well accessibility was address by this Best Western Hotel. We will definitely stay here again when we visit the area, and will recommend this hotel to our friends and family.
very grateful for the free upgrade to a big room with the giant hot tub. That was a super great appreciated surprise. Nice having fridge and microwave, too. Bed was comfortable. Free hot breakfast was good. Bartender in lounge was fantastic. Staff was helpful and friendly. Price charged was price quoted when reserved. They do need to correct the issues with the keys not working on the room doors. Comfortable beds, clean rooms, nice pools
Don't stay here so getto. smells like dog urine. Disgusting food over priced restaurant big waste of money not a real bestwestern. I don't even bestwestern checks to make sure there up to there standards.
I booked a regular room. When I arrived there were 4 people trying to check in. They were very demanding and not very nice. The desk clerk Denise, was very professional and did an amazing job. When I was checking in she kept apologizing for the wait. I told her she didn't have to apologize as it wasn't her fault. When I arrived at my room I was very surprised that I had been upgraded to a jacuzzi suite for the price of a regular room. The customer service was outstanding! I will definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who is staying in Lawton. I will definitely be back if I need to stay in Lawton.
This is an older hotel that is being well taken care of. Our room was very comfortable and quiet. Every employee we saw was very helpful and kind. Kandrana and Katherine at the front desk always had a smile and were very helpful with everything. We were visiting a son at Ft Sill and the location was great. I would stay here again when in Lawton.
Stayed 3 nights and have zero complaints. Breakfast definitely makes this place a place to refer. Rooms are simple, clean, and property was quiet (even though it was sold out 2 of the nights). Again, breakfast was great. Good selection, tasty food, and friendly staff.
This hotel is what you could expect from a 3 star hotel. the décor is of older style but upkept well, except in certain places such as the shower which showed that there had probably been a leak at one time, and musty smell from a/c unit. linen was clean and house keeping was on point.
Good hotel, high traffic because of Fort Sill and casinos. Great staff. Good Breakfast. Will use this hotel again. Easy access to everything in town. It is a comfortable place to stay. Good parking and patrolled regularly by law enforcement. Felt safe and comfortable.
There's nothing really wrong with this Best Western. We had a fine one-night-on-the-road stay. Just not up to the standards we are used to as Best Western Platinum members. The rooms were clean, everything worked, air conditioning was good, internet came in ok - just not a very good signal so it was kind of slow, the pool was fine, breakfast selection was very good, hallways and elevator were not air conditioned. For Best Western Elite members, we had no recognition.
The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was really good. I didn't use all the amenities but the pool looked nice. The room was clean but like the rest of the hotel...VERY VERY DATED!
Except for the Wi-Fi problems, I had a very enjoyable stay at the Best Western in Lawton. Although I had booked just a standard room, I received a complimentary room upgrade at check-in. When I asked about the pool hours at check-in around 6PM, I was told that the outdoor pool had closed early for maintenance. That was a disappointment, since one of the amenities I specifically looked for when selecting a hotel was a pool. Fortunately, there was an indoor pool that was open. Oddly, I saw people using the outdoor pool that evening even though it was supposedly closed. The breakfast, included in the room rate, was more impressive than most American hotel breakfasts. In addition to the standard cereal and yogurt, they had real scrambled eggs and grits. The front desk staff were exceedingly friendly and helpful. I immediately felt as though I was among friends. When it was time to go to the airport, Monique got the van and took me. She was the most charming person to talk to. I would definitely return to the Best Western Plus in Lawton the next time I visit.
Room could have been nicer by having carpet on the floor, better mattress, and larger pillows. Room was quiet, clean, and everything worked well. Hotel is showing its age. Full hot reakfast buffet was very good. Pools looked inviting. Service and friendly attitude was outstanding.
Should be classified as 2 star, decor and layout was out dated!!! Service was good. Needs lots of cosmetics work. Beds were decent but pillows stink. You think your getting a great deal when they say 3 star but your not, price was ok for a 2 star hotel. If I need a cheap hotel I'd stay there again, but for leisure and relaxation, I'll go across the highway.
Very nice experience, the ladies at the desk were very helpful in getting our room quickly and professionally. We used the breakfast room to eat pizza.. Played at the pool which was very nice surprise
At first we were skeptical of the quality of the hotel due to the rate, however, as it turns out, it was a great value. The staff was great and accommodating. The rooms were very nice and clean. Breakfast was really good. We were very surprised at the quality and value.
I traveled alone for a graduation at Fort Sill and was a little nervous about staying here due to some of the reviews. It is an older hotel, but very well kept. The rooms were spacious & clean. Bed was very comfortable. There are microwaves & refrig in all rooms. Bathrooms are very clean. Good water pressure & always had hot water. The breakfast is free and has waffles, potatoes, grits, sausage, yogurt, and sweet rolls. Very good food to get you going for the day. You can order very good food at the small bar during the evening hours. My room had a backdoor that lead to a grassy yard that had plenty of chairs to sit on (after a hot day I loved sitting out there as there was an amazing cool breeze...and fireflys...very nice). The grounds were very well maintained. A major storm came through one night & early in the morning the staff was out there cleaning up the yard/parking lot. I can't say enough about the staff. Everyone is so polite & extremely helpful. Just a great group of people. One morning, I was 1/2 hr late for breakfast and they were going to make me something. How many hotels would do that?? All in all, as I said, its an older hotel, but between how clean everything was & the amazing staff...I would definately recommend this hotel. I only give it 4 stars because of the age of the hotel. No other reasons. You guys rocked my solo trip!!
Our stay at the Best Western in Lawton Oklahoma was upgraded by the friendly staff who took care of us from Check In to Check Out. We were upgraded to two rooms that connected so our family could be together. Denise, our front desk attendant, was super helpful in getting our rooms arranged and always had a smile for us. Breakfast for the family offered variety and everyone was able to start the day with a good solid meal. The pool was fabulous with toys for the kids to play with....something I have not ever seen before in our hotel stays.
VERY NICE ACCOMODATIONS FOR THE PRICE. Very nice rooms,,breakfast very good and the pool refreshing. They have an excellent staff. They have a new game room for the kids. Really nice for them to play while adults at the casino next door.
I can always count on Best Western to have excellent service, clean rooms, excellent staff, very comfortable beds and a delicious breakfast to start the morning off with. The only complaint if there is one would be the Ac unit was noisy.
I can't say enough about the staff and their service here. They were truly wonderful. The bed and bedroom were clean and fresh smelling. The breakfast was plentiful and fresh. The building itself is quite old and there were rain leaks in the hallways, and the tub stopper didn't quite do it's job. However, in the scheme of things, these are quite small things in relation to what they got right. It's hard to beat great service and cleanliness.
When we got there everyone was very friendly ,they let us check in our room early which was very nice, we were tried of driving, it was nice to be able to get a room and the room was clean ,breakfast was great ,we could order eggs the way we wanted,it was clean and someone was always there to help if you needed any.
Signage to find this property could have been clearer, as it was between a casino and an extended stay residence. I was first given a "non smoking" room but when I opened the door I could immediately tell someone had been smoking in it, so I asked to be moved. I was moved to another room, next to the guest laundry that smelled of mildew. As a person with allergies, I'm not sure which room to as worse. I put up with the second room, but would not recommend this property to anyone else. It is in serious need of a facelift.
Go somewhere else. This is the worst BW PLUS on the planet. Old, decrepit, uncomfortable, overused and abused by the Army troops stationed near by. Not of the quality of a BW, let alone a PLUS. Needs to be completely revamped. Difficult to locate.
I would highly recommend this Hotel for your vist to Lawton Ok...Nice central location. Two pools, one indoor, one out.The rooms are quite spacious.Great place for conference meetings and gatherings.Victoria's restaurant & lounge onsite. The breakfast is hot and delicious....A+ service..
Will be staying here every time we're in town from now on!! Would recommend this motel to anyone. Very nice pool area, wonderful breakfast bar (2 variety of scrambled eggs, potatoes, gravy, biscuits, grits, waffles, and fresh fruit. Plus coffee and juice bar available.
The staff here is amazing! Front desk personnel were very professional and courteous. The hotel is undergoing renovations, so only minor inconveniences which did not affect our stay. Our room was very clean and neat. Great bed - got a good night's sleep both nights that we were there. The hotel is quite near Fort Sill which made it convenient for us to attend Family Day and Basic Training for our son.
We arrived at 2:30am from San Antonio and was immediately offered a late check out of 1pm. This was a major help since we had to be at Ft. Sill at 9am then drive back to Dallas, Texas. Being able to come back and take a nap before another day of driving (with 3 kids) was what made the day bearable!
The staff, we gotta say, was amazing and really tried to make us feel at home. It is an older hotel and they have remodeled, but the AC was not working properly and the room was humid and musty smelling. There were hairs in the tub and on the towels. The beds were ok, but a little too firm for someone used to sleeping on Tempurpedic! Breakfast was pretty good!
Hotel in sad need of repairs, room was not secure, the dead bolt wouldn't close and the door jiggled when it was latched. There was also plaster in the hallways. Not worth it, could get a much better room across the freeway at the same price
Denise at the front desk was amazing she made sure for us to have a good time with our son that was graduating from fort sill. We had a two room suite that made it easy for family to also visit him , breakfast was also really good and the rooms pretty clean. Thank you so much for your great costumer service we will be back.
The hotel was clean and very comfortable. The staff was very helpful and pleasant to talk to. Will stay here every time. The room was clean and stayed very nice and cool. The breakfast was also very good and a nice variety of foods.
Not bad for the money. Room had an odor when we arrived. We went to see are son graduate basic training at ft. Sill so the hotel was in a great location for everything ! Staff was excellent and breakfast was great!
outside pool had green slime build up, inside pool cloudy and smelled. ice machine broke the 2 days i was there. the door to the balcony would not stay shut and had day light shining through were the door knob didn't fit the door. internet keep kicking us off after 2 minutes. don't let the pictures on web site fool you!!!
Don't stay here. Just don't. Arrived in a downpour that was pouring into the main corridors in at least every places. Most obviously the second floor by the conference rooms. Smelt strongly of damp in these areas which makes me think that these are continuing problems which haven't been addressed. Didn't appear to have guttering so water poured down windows and to make it worse the bedroom window leaked badly, water poured over the A/C unit. Got another room but that was after 1am. Staff were good but couldn't wait to get the heck out.
I stay at BW almost every time I travel. So I'm pretty familiar with their hotels. So, for the price this is one is OK. It's a much older hotel that is not originally BW. Entry into the property is a little confusing, but stay right. There are 3 sections to the hotel area, said he first is extended stay, then the main hotel and then hotel rooms that are apartments for rent. Hard to tell where one starts and the other ends and is a little sketchy looking in places. As for the rooms, very comfortable, but with 2 queen beds, a bit cramped. The a/c was the older style that mounts in the wall under a window. I pushed it down to 68, but it never got to below 72-73. The interior of the hotel is non smoking but outside is. Our room had a small court yard and there a was an ash tray full of butts. Butts on the ground, everywhere. At least while I was there, it was never cleaned. Nice big pool - indoor and out. Nice bar area that the modern BWs don't have. Good breakfast bar. Very close to one casino and very short drive to water park. Harley dealership just across freeway. Overall its average based on price. They really need to clean the outside area.
It smelled like mold throughout the hotel. Issues with the water temperature. Big Roach in the bathroom and big Black super in room. The sheets were sticky, so I'm glad I travel with a bad sheet. Oh, and the room key not working. Seemed more like a truck stop than a business or a family hotel. The only nice thing was the mini fridge and the staff wasn't rude.
This hotel had the most amazing staff! Also this hotel is perfect for families. The have an indoor pool, outdoor pool, gym and game room. They also have a courtyard and really nice patio furniture around the property and a security guard. We loved this place!
Hotel is still under renovation. Formerly Howard Johnson. Our room was nicely remodelled. The only problem we had was with a broken shower curtain rod (rod not levelled, curtain would not stay closed). The hot breakfast was exceptional with 2 types of eggs, potatoes, sausage or bacon. Full continental breakfast bar with waffle maker. Staff at front desk were very helpful. Overall it is a better Best Western renovated hotel. It was an excellent value. On the note of renovation, the current old elevator is very small, only fits 5 people!
Very nice rooms, large outdoor area with pool and plenty of places just to sit and relax. Staff did a great job in taking care of everything from front desk to maintenance to breakfast room. Will definitely stay here when in Lawton next time. Close to Ft. Sill and just off I-44.
Had an excellent stay at the Lawton Best Western. It was nice to receive the great service from the staff. They always responded immediately and did all that was asked of them. The breakfast bar was definitely a plus to my stay.
have stayed in this motel for trips over the past 5 years and have never been disappointed in service...rooms were always clean and the location close to interstate works very well...would not hesitate to recommend this location to anyone
Traveling by motorcycle as thunderstorms approached, we needed to check in early. Not only was the desk clerk able to check us in, she also upgraded us to a suite! As it was also our wedding anniversary, this was extra special! The suite was wonderful, nicely appointed, and everything worked properly. The bed was very comfortable. The staff continued to be very accommodating throughout put stay. Breakfast was excellent, with several hot options and the usual "continental" items. We had dinner in the restaurant that evening and were very pleased with the service and the quality of the food.
We stayed at this hotel while in Lawton for a family event. The check-in was smooth and we reserved a suite. The room was spacious (actually, two rooms with one arranged as a living room). The beds were comfortable; good amenities. The room could, however, use some updating (like the bathrooms). The exercise room also needs updating. My only complaint is our room lacked sufficient environmental controls. We could never get the room at a sufficiently comfortable temperature with reduced humidity. The hotel offered a breakfast which was plentiful. The staff was outstanding, friendly and very helpful!
My veterans organization was having an event at nearby Fort Sill and we used this hotel to house about a hundred of our members. I didn't hear any complaints from any of our guys about the place. They have a bar, something I don't think you see a Best Westerns. A very nice buffet breakfast was offered, included with your room charge. I failed to get the name of the lady who kept the place clean and kept refilling all the food trays. She certainly was efficient and hope her boss reads this. There was a very pleasant lady working the check in counter. I can't recall her name but she had a French accent. Boss..give her a pat on the back from me.
I stayed at the Best Western for my husbands graduation. The staff was nice and the stay was nice. The pictures are a bit deceiving it's an older hotel but I felt safe and for the price the stay was fine. I thought everything was fine. I checked out. Mind you I reserved three rooms. Come to find out they called me (the receptionist) to let me know that the house keeping manager wanted to charge me for a missing pillow. When no one took a pillow from that room. My dad who stayed in that room called back to dispute the claim and they said she had left and would be back Monday. We followed up and the manager never called me back. So we made a claim with our bank. Sadly a good experience went bad because they accused us of taking something we didn't take. I wouldn't go back just for that incident
This is an older property but the new owner is in the process of updating and improving it. The rooms are more than adequate, comfy beds, good wifi reception, There are 2 pools, on inside and one outside that are very very nice and clean. The Hidden Jewell of this Best Western is the STAFF!!!! Everyone from the front desk, to the housekeeping staff, and especially the sweet gal who runs the bar and the fellow who helps at breakfast and also provides nighttime security are awesome!!!
Check-in was quick and simple, hotel front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. Rooms were mostly clean, top comforter had a few stains, looked like coffee. My room smelled musty, but not unbearable. The hotel is priced well and close to Ft. Sill which was the reason for our trip. Overall it was a great hotel, very friendly staff and we would definitely stay there again.
I have to say that all of the front desk staff were really very pleasant, and the beds were provided us with comfortable sleep. Unfortunately that was the only highlight of our stay here. I understand the age of this property most likely played a large part in why we felt this way but as a Best Western Diamond member I've come to expect much better quality when staying at one of their "plus" properties. Our two adult daughters and 10 month old granddaughter were visiting from Michigan for the first time and we wanted to show them the beautiful Wichita Mountains. Rather than make the drive back and forth on the same day we decided it would be nice to drive in from Edmond and spend the night so we could get an early start sightseeing at the animal refuge. Because I am a Diamond member of Best Western they're always my first choice for lodging, and when I discovered they had a BW Plus in the area I contacted the business advantage reservation line and booked our room. There is so much that was disappointing about our stay here that I do not want to take the time to list all of it. Let me just say the entire hotel is in desperate need of updating. Each time I made the long trek from the lobby to our room (276) all the way at the end of the North wing it was easy to notice that the maintenance team has a lot of room for improvement. In room 276 I would suggest they at least attempt match the light bulbs in the lamps and on the wall. They should be a consistent color and wattage, and if they are exposed having the same size bulbs would look better as well. The light sconces in the bedroom side of our "suite" were not installed properly, they were not the same height and one was hanging slightly off the wall. I was quite shocked when I pulled up to the building but thought perhaps if the rooms were nice the outside could be overlooked. The first "suite" offered to me was on the ground floor, the corridor smelled of stale cigarette smoke, the room also had a musty odor, it was dark, and when we opened the door to the outside patio we were greeted with a filthy area that had two lawn chairs, one of which was laying on its side. The second room offered was on the second floor, it smelled better and although it did not feel any cleaner it was better, though when we opened the sofa bed we found a stained mattress with trash in the folded up inside of it (a previous occupants letter to he lost love describing an addition to drugs etc etc), and more trash on the carpet beneath the bed frame we put it back away and did not attempt to have our daughter sleep on it. The balcony had no furniture and was not really clean enough to sit out on if it had, in order to close the door you also had to put your body into it to get it to close/lock after opening. We had our 10 month old granddaughter with us on and did not feel comfortable letting her down to crawl around after finding what we did in the room. The outside door closest to the room we were given was also not working properly so we had to walk down to the next one to enter the hotel. Sorry but there has to be an awful lot that needs to be done to improve this hotel in order for me to recommend it to anyone. I was embarrassed and very disappointed by my choice in this property
Please see my comments on the BW site. In short. The location is perfect, the price was great, it's super clean and safe AND the staff is AWESOME. I mean it stay here, period. Mr & Mrs Dana Joel and Sally Jean.
Close to base, easy to get to restaurants. Pet friendly was a must and my expectations were exceeded. The upgrade was awesome! I don't give myself these luxuries but so thankful the manager did. Thanks for a great stay.
Not the best rate as advertised and I'm a member but great breakfast hi speed internet and rooms. Only problem I had was I am a member and non member can get the same rate as me and they had leaking water pipes and placed me on that wing. Other than that I've stayed here over 20x no other complaints. My only question is what exactly are the benefits to being a member besides getting points I mean what else comes with the membership that's only exclusive to members?
This hotel has some real pluses and one big negative, depending on what is important to you. The internet service is slow and inconsistent. If internet is important to you, this is not your hotel. However, if you want swim time for the kids, this hotel has the nicest outdoor pool I have seen at any BW and is near resort class. There is also an indoor pool!! Hotel has easy interstate access on the east side of Lawton. Very large breakfast area and a good breakfast. Supposed to have a USA Today paper available, but it didn't come on Monday morning.
Nice Hotel, Really Clean Rooms, Hotel was being renovated, a little dated, great value!! Staff is wonderful, really friendly and helpful!!! The location was great. The free breakfast was well made , nice selection, really clean dining room.
We had 2 room that were together frig and a microwave 2 beds and a couch bed. 2 tvs lower level was great no steps outside doors to parking lot was easy good breakfast beds were ok and im hard to please! Over A stay ! Must go to mt scott and holy city on ur way thru the Wichita national wild life refuge park. And medicine park to visit and eat but go eat cobbler and the buggest burger like ever at meers store and restaurant.
I highly recommend this hotel. Great location, next to 2 casinos, right off interstate. Easy access to downtown stores and restaurants. Rooms were clean and beds comfortable. Staff were great and friendly. Indoor pool felt great. Fitness room was small but did what I needed. The game room was amazing, my kids loved it, 3 Xbox one and 3 ps3 or 4 what ever the newest one is, with large TV's for each. Great hot breakfast. Definitely worth the price. They were renovating, but it was ok, because I knew they were fixing things and making it better.
Just disappointed with this best Western Plus hotel. To this point they have always been very nice hotels to stay at. Stayed at ones in texas, chicago, tulsa. Last one in tulsa I return 2 times a week while I was working there. This one I would not, and I'm still working in this area
I scouted this place out as a possible place to return with my husband and dog on future trips due to its convenient location for us. It is pet friendly with a large outdoor area for walking a dog. I had a king bed room which was average size. There was a comfy chair with a ottoman. The bed was comfortable, and the noise from I-44 did not bother me. The bathroom was cramped but was clean and had good counter space. The refrigerator was large and had a small freezer area. The food in the breakfast room was better than average for motel complimentary breakfasts. It was quiet and peaceful. My only complaint is the room deodorizer that had been sprayed in there. The place is old and smells a bit musty.
Beds were comfortable. Hotel noise was minimal. Nice hot breakfast and very pleasant & helpful staff. Would definitely stay again if in the Oklahoma City area. Was in town for basic training graduation and the two room suite was perfect for our needs. Plenty of room for 5 to hang out comfortably.
Dilapidated, run down, guest rooms within a structure that was is in poor condition. We were very disappointed upon arrival when we discovered the online pictures were deceptive and did not reflect what we observed. The lobby area in another building was acceptable and substantially more modern, and pleasant. The hotel staff were very pleasant and kind. In brief, it appears that renovations have been completed in the lobby area, however the guest rooms and building are substandard because of a lack of renovation.
Stayed for two nights, the bathroom could have used a little more elbow room and some updating but other than that it was a great stay the room was clean, the staff friendly, and the breakfast had a large number of options
The staff was great. The breakfast had several options. Our room was very outdated the bathroom was unsafe. We had the walkin shower and there was nothing to hold when getting out. Very slippery. The sink was falling off the wall.
We loved our stay. Laurie & Saidrick were awesome. They treated us like family. We now have 2 new friends in Oklahoma. We will be back to see them again someday. so we can hear more stories about Oklahoma & will have plenty of Ohio stories to tell. Best Western in Lawton Oklahoma on Gore Blvd will be our home away from home. Thank You for making us feel so welcomed.
The hotel was nice and the staff were very helpful and friendly. Even gave us pointers on registering for family day at Ft Sill.. The only bad side was we were disappointed that the lounge was closed on the weekends and we did not know this ahead of time when I made the reservation
We stayed here last week and the rate was just right. We were able to reserve adjoining rooms with no problem. The rooms are not fancy but they were very clean and very comfortable. Also the breakfast was awesome!!
I would recommend this Hotel for your next visit to Lawton.Nice staff & lobby.Restaurant onsite and lounge.Close to everything, malls, shopping, resaurants etc.Rooms are spacious, beds are quite comfortable too.
The hotel was older, but the room was nice, and quiet. The free breakfast was great- lots of choices, waffles, grits, gravy, hashbrowns, and sausage. We walked around the property one night, and we really liked the pool layout- if it had been warmer we would have been swimming. The indoor pool also looked nice. The staff was kind and helpful. We would stay there again.
The hotel was nice, but seemed outdated and It had a funny smell, maybe because my room was right by the laundry area. The location was perfect because it is only 10 minutes away from Fort Sill. The hotel food was the best part of my stay. The staff was most kind about all issues I had. I would definitely try it again, just a different area of the hotel.
This place was close to the Interstate, within an easy commute to Fort Sill, and was just what our family needed for our visit to see our daughter graduate Army basic training. Our suite was easily accessible, large, quiet, and clean. The beds were very comfortable and we slept like babies. The sleeper sofa was not quite as comfortable, but passable. We loved the 2 bathrooms and just the feeling of being accommodated so thoroughly by the staff. Lots of Army relatives were there at the same time and these folks know how to make the stay pleasant. The breakfast buffet eliminated the need to go out for breakfast since it was genuinely decent! Wow - eggs, bacon, waffles, hash browns, grits, gravy, biscuits, hash browns, on and on. Oh - and did I say they were really nice to guests at every turn? No regrets!
The location is convenient to the Interstate. The staff is super helpful and friendly, from the front desk to the cleaning staff and the breakfast bar folks. We asked for help with several things - TV hookup, extra towels, printing directions, etc. All were accommodating and did not make us feel that we were inconveniencing them. The suite was perfect for our Army basic training graduation visit. The beds were comfortable, the place was quiet at night, and access was easy. Breakfast bar was unusual for a hotel - real food (eggs, bacon, hash browns, grits, waffles, biscuits, gravy, yogurt, cereal, etc.) cooked well with involved staff that kept things going.
This Best Western is clearly an older hotel in a town with some flashy casino properties. But it did not disappoint: I got a clean room at a great price with a good breakfast. Even better, I found a staff that really knows how to provide great service. Liezl at the front desk is superb and eager to help. Denise, also at the front, went above and beyond in making sure I got where I needed to go. The night supervisor, Sheryl, is a gracious host. I'll come back just to see those three ladies again! Thank you!
The staff was well trained and friendly, especially Liezl. Free breakfast was great and tasty better than other hotels. The dining room was spacy I could not use swimming pool because it was running and cloudy during stay. But, it was nice, huge seating area, and good spot When I had an internet issue, the staff took care of it right away. Anything I ask during stay, the staff took care of it immediately. The location is convenient for everything, close to restaurant, shopping, etc. I definitely stay this hotel again if I go to the Lawton,OK in the future.
Stayed here for 3 nights. Our room was comfy and clean. The staff was very friendly and check in was speedy. The breakfast is more abundant and better than alot of hotel breakfast that I have had. The breakfast room had plenty of seating. The outdoor pool area also had alot of seating areas and was pretty large. There was even an outdoor covered area, which was nice because we had several members in our group in diff rooms and it gave us space to meet and visit. There was also a nice indoor pool. The only complaint was the hallways were warm and stuffy and there was a nice seating area with couches on the second floor but it was to warm and stuffy to sit there. One member in our group was on a different hallway and he said it was musky and humid on his hall. Overall our stay was great and we plan to stay here a night in oct again.
This is an older hotel. We checked in really late and we were upgraded to a two bedroom suite. There were two bedrooms and two bathrooms with complimentary water on both sides. We had a living room with a TV , a couch, and a table. There was also a small patio. The rooms were clean and beds comfortable. The only complaint was the rooms smelled musty and the floors and bed spreads felt damp. Breakfast was a bit strange. We were given tickets and couldn't even get into the breakfast area without one. There were two or three people standing guard and they wouldn't let us in while my husband was checking out even though they could see him at the desk because he had the tickets. Breakfast was typical BW with something for everyone.
We found a huge colony of fire ants All places fire ants ! my suitcase on Top of the table, carpet , trash and bed, fire ants bit my hands I was bitten by fire ants on my hands, my grandson in one finger...my mother 88 years old too...
I booked my hotel room on Sunday (9/4/16) based on the amenities offered at the hotel. After traveling 3 hours I like to unwind at a hotel with a restaurant and lounge. When I arrived, I was informed the restaurant/lounge was closed due to illness. Do you not have backup staff? I checked into my room to find a half consumed bottled drink and cold cup of coffee on the nightstand. In addition, the shower had a used bar of soap with hair on it. I decided to pull back the sheets to find HAIR on the bed....disgusting. I had to change rooms. The next morning I spoke with the General Manager who informed me I had made the front desk employee cry the evening before due to my disappointment and aggravation of the upkeep of the original room. He went on to tell me it was unacceptable to get his help to cry over minimal issues. I also had to crawl underneath the desk to plug in my laptop and pull the nightstand away from the wall to find an outlet. Don't use this hotel. There are plenty of other hotels in Lawton. Beware.
We were their from Aug 24-Aug 27th, This hotel was absolutely beautiful our rooms were done by the time we retuned, We had such a Drama trip from Honolulu Hawaii to Arizona to Dallas (that was pure HELL} to suppose to go to Lawton but was delayed for 11 hours becasude of a tire change that the whole trip blamed us for missing flights never again AMERICAN AIRLINE NEVER, by the time we got to the hotel EVERYONE made all the misery go away and our stay very enjoyable, highly reccommand this hotel 100% Thank You everyone especially Brenda,,,,,,,,,,,,
This is an older hotel. The staff was great. Our room had been updated, #244. I don't like the low ceiling, gives a closed in feeling. There is a smell in the hallway due to it being old, I think. Breakfast was very good. Hopefully Best Western makes this hotel as great as the staff.
Once again the stay has been great. The staff is friendly, professional and courteous. We check-in and got to the room about the same time as the cleaning staff so the room was upgraded to a suite at no additional cost. This trip the outdoor pool [yes, there is also an indoor pool] is not under construction and ready for use. The location of the hotel is a very short walk to the casino next door. There are also roaming security personnel which combined make this a great place to stay.
Yes, this is a large older-style Best Western hotel, but the staff was very friendly and helpful. The lobby was updated and our room was clean and roomy with comfortable beds. A complimentary breakfast was served in a beautiful room overlooking the huge swimming pool with a very inviting outdoor lounge area. The food was good and the buffet was constantly being serviced by the staff.
There was not a single instance of me encountering an employee that didn't greet me pleasantly. All employees seem to genuinely care about the guests. They also seem to work well together which makes for a nice atmosphere.
This was an enjoyable place to stay. The past 2 stays here we have had a horrible experience. This place needs cleaning staff that cares about the functions in the room. If they would report the repair needs, the customers would not have to deal with showers not working, tubs not draining, mattresses severely pitted in the middle, A/C units making horrible noises, telephones not working, etc.
Staff was great. Very friendly, and helpful. As for breakfast it was actually pretty good, a lot better then we had expected it to be. We really enjoyed that we had a enough room for the family to sleep & lounge around too
We stayed two nights at this hotel and all agreed it was one of the most enjoyable stays we have had in quite a while. Access to the hotel is very easy. It was very clean and the entire property is well maintained. The free WiFi and the breakfast were both excellent. Every member of the staff we encountered was very friendly, courteous and extremely helpful.
Nicest staff ever. But the hotel is old, poorly laid out, only 1 small elevator, small rooms and baths. Very "seedy" surroundings. The pool was beautiful, breakfast good. No problems with anything while there, but if you want to be impressed, look elsewhere. Best Western really needs to up their game if they want to stay competitive.
There are super nice hotels with terrible service, and then there are hotels like this one...hotel itself is not in the best shape. The pool is in need of repairs, it is obvious that the hotel itself is a little on the older side. But our rooms were impeccably clean. And no matter where we went inside of this hotel, the staff was beyond helpful. The bartender was amazing! She convinced us to try their Pizza and it was totally worth it! Forget dominoes and Papa Johns! This Pizza was great quality. Our son was graduating from basic training and I went in one night teary eyed and they were all there to lift our spirits. Cedric, who doubles as a server and security was a hoot and had us laughing constantly. Even the people who clean the rooms went above and beyond to make us comfortable. If you're looking for the Hilton you won't find it here. But you might find something better! And after a few drinks, you will forget that the low ceiling hallway on the second floor reminds you of the shining...we were there for 3 nights and we never saw little girls on tricycles
We came to watch our son's graduation from Ft. Sill. Our hotel stay was a pleasant surprise. The front staff, Liezl and Ashley really went out of their way to be welcoming from offering bottled water, cookies and coffee to taking pictures got us. Breakfast was another surprise. No continental breakfast here, a full breakfast with eggs, bacon, biscuits and sausage gravy. The pool and garden area was pretty and peaceful. A good experience !
Breakfast was very good. Great location with easy access to the interstate. Hotel was very quiet except for raucous guests one night but that can happen anyplace. Hotel is very well maintained. Employees were helpful and friendly. It was nice to have a frig and microwave in every room.
Yeah! If I had to dive there again after 24 hours in a sedan I would stay there. :) this hotel was very close to FT. Sill Where my son was graduating boot camp. Only had to make one trip up and one exit to get there. Very close to base, easy to get around and I have no scene of direction.
Denise & Liezl. Are the sweetest 2 girls i have came upon. They have went above there duties too ensure our stay is pleasant and comfortable. They are an asset to your company. I have traveled across the country and I recommend. This hotel. The only way too show my thanks is too let you know i will only stay at this location & too recommend this hotel too others. Please keep them there they're an asset & a blessing to your company thank them for me sincerely. Stacy Palmer
We had a wonderful visit in Lawton OK. The staff is very pleasant and helpful. Thank you to Reshia, Veronica, Liezal and Patience. They all went above and behind in making our stay enjoyable. It was a great location with easy access to site seeing locals. The staff did a great job with the details of the reunion.
The owner was more than helpful and accommodating. The staff was very friendly and willing to help. The gentleman who owns the hotel has owned it for only a few months. He is working to improve the property, so please be patient. Our room was more than comfortable and clean. They have two pools. One indoor and outdoor. The front desk staff were fantastic. The maids were very pleasant and friendly. The bartender (Cheryl) is a wonderful woman. We couldn't have asked for a more pleasant group of people to take care of us. We were there for a reunion and were treated with utmost respect. I would recommend staying here just for the pleasant people. It's very conveniently located near the interstate and main roads leading to just about anywhere in Lawton.
Best Western Lawton OK is an almost perfect place for a large group function. The staff is what separates this hotel from others with great customer service. I hope their internet service is repaired, improved, functional for the next groups booking rooms.
This Hotel was a great place to stay at.Indoor & outdoor pool,a large courtyard.A lounge & restaurant onsite. The staff is kind ,helpful, and a security guard on duty. The rooms are quite spacious, the beds are very comfortable too!.I give these guys two thumbs up/ AA++
The staff made our 4 day stay great. Accommodating, responded and corrected any issues immediately. We were up graded at check-in to 2 room suite which was nice. The extra space was great. The facility is older, with some recent upgrades. Clean & tidy. Sarah in the dining room and Liezl at the front desk were two of the staff standouts. Weekday manager and maintenance people were very nice too.
Everyone is so helpful and friendly! The minor hiccups were addressed right away. The rooms and pool area were clean and welcoming! Thank you Lawton BW. The staff even gave us cold water to drink during the heat wave on our way out for the day.
Best western convention center in Lawton Oklahoma is clean, inexpensive and the staff is super nice. Hanging out at the pool on a Friday was fun and relaxing. The hotel is just a stones throw away from The Wichita Wildlife Refuge, Mt. Scott, Holy City and Medicine Park. We will certainly be back and encourage everyone to visit this wonderful area.
The front desk staff was extremely helpful, kind, knowledgeable and just overall very attentive and could not done enough for me. It was a difficult time for me as for the nature of my trip and I found a real caring team at the front desk staff especially Lizet (hope I wrote her name correctly). She was there mostly during the day and she could not have been nicer to me. She really helped me get though a hard time. Although the pool was closed for the first 3 days of my trip I could see the team working on it and even the owner Andrew was working on it. Andrew checked in with me often during my stay and become someone I looked forward to speaking to when I saw him. He spend his busy time trying to make my stay better and I truly did appreciate it. I thought the hotel had everything you could ask for while visiting Lawton Oklahoma. Rooms nice conformable bed powerful AC unit ( which you needed on 101 temp) breakfast very good and had a nice variety even had different chooses from one day to the next. Only ate at the restaurant and drank at the bar one night would have went back if I could have- very nice meal nice friendly staff.
We were in Lawton to see my wife graduate Army basic training. The hotel is convenient to Ft Sill. The staff gave me an unexpected upgrade to a "suite", which was appreciated. The hotel is in need of some upgrading and updating. It's obviously got some age on it. The suite was formerly two separate rooms with adjoining doors that were put together to make one. Not a big deal, and it didn't cost any extra. Breakfast was good, decent variety beyond the usual hotel food. Pool areas needed updating, but the outdoor pool was closed for maintenance and hopefully being upgraded. Over all a decent stay for myself and the kids.
I can't say enough about the hospitality of your hotel. From the minute me and my son walked in we felt welcomed. Mrs. Liezl and Mrs. Ashley at the front desk were super super super there 1st class ladies. The pools are awesome breakfast was great. Again thank u for your business.
We picked this location because it was a great location for a graduation we were attending at Fort Sill. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was buffet style and delicious. The service was friendly.
This Best Western is right next door to the casino and I-44, which is why we chose it. The breakfast was excellent. The layout of the building is a little odd. The staff was mixed (attitude-wise). I didn't give "excellent" for cleanliness and rooms because the night before we got there, there had been a storm which let water into the hall we were put in, and it wasn't quite repaired/de-odorized yet.
Older building,,well kept. Excellent staff. I am almost 65...travel a lot...and have never had an employee come to my room door and gently knock to make sure I am up since I didn't answer wake up call. Brenda who checked us in was outstanding. Room very clean....very quiet. I am very hard to please, I'll stay there again.
I use this hotel frequently and had no problems so far ,the front desk staff know their job well and do it well. The rest is all good .it is a safe bet if you stay here..!@#$%^&*())(*&^%$#@!@#$%^&*()@#
Absolutely wonderful staff in all areas. Breakfast: All you could want hot & cold. Spacious eating area. Great service. Did not like not being able to take food out to family members who might be sleeping in though. But best breakfast of any motel we've stayed in. Rooms were nice and quiet, but a bit out dated. Thought we had queen beds, but sure they were double. So check if you want a queen or king. Indoor/outdoor pool very nice. Large back yard. Fitness facility.
Nicest Best Western staff we have came across. Hotel beds are amazing. Hotel is a little dated but from my understanding they are in the process of improving. There is hotel security which is nice. The only down fall the outdoor pool was not working due to being shock and cleaned. The pool area does look really nice and relaxing. There is also an indoor pool we did not use it but seemed nice.
We have used this hotel for work and it's just fine. I've experienced hotels in Lawton, OK getting up there in prices and I've always been able to get a good price here. The property is nice. Staff is really nice. Was travelling with a group and it just wasn't a great place for that. I would definitely stay here if I had to stop in Lawton for the night.
The staff went out of their way to be kind. They brought our daughter in law a crib for our grandson, without being asked. They made sure that we had plenty of cold water to drink. We were in Lawton for our sons Basic Training graduation, the staff asked us about that experience. You could tell that they cared.
I would highly recommend this hotel.Nice, spacious & clean rooms, restaurant on site.Indoor and outdoor pools.Nice courtyard out back for a stroll.Kind and courteous staff awaits you upon check in.Shopping/mall nearby,gaming,sight-seeing at the Wichita mountains.Excellent location!!
it was hot and the pool needed work. the tiles were broken and falling into pool. upon checking in front desk was helpful and friendly. the breakfast staff was friendly and helpful.the rooms were cleaned promptly and towels .
We found the staff to be super friendly. We stayed in a suite and it was very clean. The beds were comfortable. There was no outside noise. They offered a full breakfast with biscuits and gravy and it was delicious.
Stayed one night with my kids and was very very very disappointed. I took the anonymous 3star bargain on Priceline expecting a three star hotel. This 2 star 1980's threadbare motel has one of the nicest staffs I've ever encountered anywhere and that is all that's keeping it from being a one star. It should be demolished and a decent hotel built for this staff. We won't be back and frankly I won't be trusting Priceline to know what a three star is.
We were just trying to find a place to 'land' and decided to try Best Western. We have stayed in them before and were very satisfied with our service, and this hotel was at the top of the list! Even though they did not have a handicap accessible room for us, they accommodated us with a ground floor room with two beds. The price was very reasonable, the room very clean and it was already cooled down for us. The room price also included breakfast--not only a continental, but buffet as well! Bonus! The hotel had easy access off of 44, and there was a casino next door. We would stay here again if we venture this way! Very hospitable employees--they interacted with us and were very pleasant!!!!
This location has an outstanding staff that goes out of their way to make your stay acceptable. However, the facilities themselves are old and not representative of the photos on their website. The pool should be condemned. There are areas where the sidewalls are failing and bricks are simply laid in place along the edges. The rooms carpets are old and smell of smoke from a previous era of smoking rooms. This facility does not best represent the hotel chain and I honestly would recommend you choose another chain for your stay in Lawton.
The property itself needs updating, however the rooms are clean. The a/c works. You need to stay ontop of housekeeping. Service is irregular. The staff is more than accomodating! The beds are comfortable.
Room was clean and check in was smooth. Very friendly staff. Liked the check out because they give you bottle water and fruit for the road. Restaurant and bartender was very helpful. She made suggestions on the food and boxed it so we could take it to room. Hamburgers were very large and very good. Close enough to walk to casino. Rear door opened up to fenced in courtyard.
This Hotel offers excellent service from the moment you arrive.Easy fast check in,courteous service, nice & presentable lobby.Staff is right there if you need any neccesities or travel info, for shopping, restaurants, etc. The rooms are quite spacious, nice & very clean.Internet service is very fast.I would highly recommend this Hotel for your next visit to Lawton Oklahoma
This hotel is bug infested and dirty! The pictures online are deceiving and false. Do not waste your money, you will be sleeping with bugs crawling in your bed. We packed our bags and left in the night, my husband could not stop itching.
Went To Lawton for granddaughters high school graduation. Our stay at the Best Western was very nice. Older property but well maintained and VERY clean. Staff could not have been any friendlier or helpful. Refreshing to have Front Desk personnel that are welcoming and pleasant. Good value and location.
Wonderful staff that makes you feel at home and extremely polite that will help you with anything that needed, the pools were very nice. The food and service was great as well. Really love seeing the owner of the hotel outside getting his hands dirty working hard to improve his business. We had one little problem with the bathroom sink they got right on it by relocating us to another room which we liked a lot as well. Shout out to the staff! Thank you for giving us such a good stay to allow us to spend time with are proud Soldier!!!
We had a business conference scheduled here for 3 days. The manager and staff initially wouldn't fulfill their obligations set forth in our contract on comp rooms. After a discussion concerning the issue, they corrected it and we received our comp rooms. Their meeting facilities needs some improvement. They could use more electrical outlets, the existing electrical outlets are loose and need replaced & the microphones kept dying, As for my personal room, also room for improvement. Fresh towels and linens every day. The bathroom could have been cleaner. There was a small clump of hair found on day one. I watched it stay there until I checked out 3 days later. The room smelled like it may have used to have been a smoking room and they febreze it every day. It also smelled kind of musty. The A/C worked great. The front desk staff and cleaning staff were all very friendly and prompt. The security guy was hilarious. This place has the potential to be a great hotel because of its location. Hopefully they improve upon a lot because I used to really like this place.
This hotel was pretty good for what we needed. It was storming and we needed a place to stay before visiting the army base the next day. My complains consist of the breakfast ending too early and the lack of elevators. This is a hotel with quite a lot of rooms, but there was only one elevator and only big enough for about 5 people at a time. I don't mind taking stairs but we had to make about 5 trips to and from the car up and down the stairs to get everything in because the elevator was so small and so far away. Has potential, the rooms were clean.
If the hotel had real non-smoking rooms, I would have rated it 4-star. The hotel lobby is large but charming. The front desk staff was friendly and efficient. The room was spacious and clean. The shower could have been better - the water temperature was inconsistent and the angle of the shower head was not very adjustable. The wifi was inconsistent and I had a hard time connecting to it at times despite the strong signal. The TV had a good selection of channels and the picture was clear. The breakfast was great! The dining area was very clean and the wait staff very attentive (especially for a buffet) and the food tasted great. It would have been a great experience if the non-smoking rooms were truly smoke free. There were areas in the room clearly reeked of cigar smoke.
This is an older property that is well kept up. The inside is modern and clean. Has an outside door and an inside hall door. Cannot enter through outside door but can leave through it. All staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast choice with lots of options.
Love this place, we stay here ever year on our way back from Texas. The staff are the best they always there to help and let me tell you they have the BEST breakfast. The food at night is very good too, it nice to have it there so you don't have to get in the car and go to find a place to eat.
Checked in and saw that room hadn't been cleaned in a long time. Feces in toilet bowl and rim for both rooms that we got put in. First room had streak marks on toilet seat where someone had set then slid off leaving something behind...yuck. Streaks on bathroom mirror and faucet had toothpaste spittle on it. Table by tv had marks of drinks...not cleaned up. Long wait at front desk to complain for others in front of me had problems like ceiling falling down in room. Several dark hairs on fitted sheets in second room and what seemed to be skin flakes....Table by tv in 2nd room also had marks from drinks. Look out the window and you see 22 dead plants still in pots to look at...hadn't been planted timely. Take a shower and the water got 4" deep quickly for drained so slowly. Coffee-one cup dispenser still had last traveler's disposable brew basket and coffee filter left in it. I asked when I complained about the first room if they could send up somebody to check the room....nice fellow checked the room but evidently could not see problems or something. My wife would not sleep in the sheets. Very disturbing that it was so dirty. Oh yeah, so I went to check the business center but the computer is still running XP so could not really use it with any chance of security. Could not add Mozilla because XP not supported. How long has it been since XP was supported? This place really needs cleaned up. The complimentary breakfast was pretty good.
We came in on a group of bikes. Every staff member that we came in contact with was very helpful. The hotel was very clean. We had a group of 4. Unfortunately, the way the hotel was booked, we all were separated at separate ends of the hotel but I understand this was out of the staffs control. The hotel is very nicely set up with an inside pool and a very beautiful outside pool area. The breakfast is very good and the ladies that are attending in the mornings are very pleasant and very helpful. Cedric, who works security and also helps with other things including breakfast is an asset to this establishment. He gets to know the guests and makes them feel at home. Patience from the front desk always had a beautiful smile and a pleasant voice when we came down for breakfast. And Monique made sure when we came in from our long day of riding that we had a fresh clean room to come back to. Thanks to these people for making our stay a very pleasant stay. One thing I would like to suggest. You have a lot of motorcycle traffic. Please consider being more bike friendly. When your towels get old, consider recycling a few to a bin to the side for your guests when they ask for a towel to wipe down their bikes. We travel a long way and don't have much room to pack so therefore packing things like cleaning towels are not a priority. We like to visit hotels that are bike friendly.
My boyfriend and I booked this hotel through Priceline.com and when we went to check in, they told us that the Priceline booking was invalid as they had already sold all the rooms. They wanted to book us but wanted us to pay an additional 180$ in addition to the 95$ that we had paid through Priceline. The lobby reaks of smoke even though the rooms were supposed to be non-smoking. The BF had to take another allergy pill as we walked out (angry) as he already couldn't breathe. Short story, we went down the street and found a hotel that was 15$ more and was awesome!! Should've booked there the first time. I wouldn't book this hotel again if it were the last place in town.
Great service at front desk,,,good breakfast and generally fine place to stay ,,,no problems encountered..,The location is convenient and easy to to find with plenty of parking ,,i will have no problems staying again
Stayed for the night looking at apartments for a PCS move to Fort Sill. The service was the best I've ever gotten, courteous and helpful, especially Liezl at the front desk and Chris who helped with the coffee issue I was having. The indoor pool was a nice way to relax and have fun after walking all day! The breakfast was delicious and filling and a great send off. I would recommend this hotel as the place to stay if visiting the Lawton area!
After a long trip and a business meeting it was nice to get to my comfortable and quiet room. The internet was fast and having a warm delicious breakfast the next morning before leaving town made the morning.
Really enjoyed our stay and plan on staying there again. The front desk ladies definitely made you feel welcomed. They also made us aware of specials in the area. Location was aplus, as we visiting the casino.
The service and cleanliness of the hotel were very good. The staff were very helpful. The breakfast (included) was one of the best I've eaten. The staff servicing the breakfast area went out of their way to keep the area clean and be very pleasant to the hotel guests. Only negative was the condition and maintenance of the indoor pool. It wasn't fit to swim in.
The staff here couldn't be better. Location is great for easy access any where to town or Fort Sill. The rooms are average but a good value. The breakfasts are great and a little different each morning. The beds are comfortable, rooms clean and service great. It's not fancy but I would stay here again.
This is a great place to stay at.Nice clean rooms, excellent staff. The food in the restaurant Victorias is awesome.Hot breakfast in the morning is delicious as well.Three nice pools, one indoor, two outdoors, with a kiddie pool.Everything is close by including a shopping mall.I highly recommend this Hotel.Nice & close to the army base, with shuttle available.
This is a fairly large property, but it is very well maintained. There's a casino right next door, but I never heard loud noise in the parking lot. My room was very comfortable, and had both an inside and outside entrance for extra convenience. I was able to park right in front of my room, but if the weather was bad, I could walk to the restaurant, lounge or pool without going outside. The room was really very spacious, and had all the things I needed. Coffee pot, microwave, refrigerator, and a great TV. The bathroom was very clean as well, and the tub and shower were extra nice. The location was right off the Interstate Highway, and very easy to get in and out of. Breakfast was delicious, and on the house! I'll stay there again, anytime I'm in Lawton.
Amazing staff! Everyone was courteous and helpful! Denise, Lizel, Tristan, Ashley - treated us just like family. Continental breakfast was amazing! Lots of options. Hotel is older - lobby smells like smoke, but our room didn't which was great. The only thing that would have made the stay better is if they had a spa!
Staff was reserved but helpful and friendly. King room was clean, bed was comfortable, and bathroom updated but small. Free breakfast was good with much options. Very good price, I would stay here again.
Old hotel. The restaurant isn't a restaurant - just a short, poor quality bar menu. Restaurant / bar / lounge service was awful...worst I've experienced in a very long time. I was steaming by the time I left and given much thought to just getting up and walking out. I stayed at this hotel approximately 4 years ago and had a much different experience with the restaurant / bar / lounge..
As always, the service, room & breakfast buffet was super. We always enjoy our stay there!! We miss Melinda being there to greet us for breakfast tho. Will always recommend best Western Hotels to anyone traveling.
Enjoyed out stay. Staff was extremely helpful and professional. They were very friendly and willing to assist. The hotel is conveniently located off of the Interstate but also very close to two casinos (if interested) They are right next door to one and just down the road from the other.
If you don't mind intermittent changes in water temperature, room lighting so poor that Dracula might even complain, walls so thin that you make new friends whether you want to or not, slow internet that requires constant re-entry of codes, rooms that aren't attended by housekeeping until so late in the day that you have to stop changing for dinner to accommodate them, and a front desk staff that suspects every business traveler to secretly be with The Who(and have therefore trashed the room), then this hotel will meet all of your needs. Otherwise, you may want to calibrate your expectations.
This is an older Best Western. It smelled old, needs some repairs and I'm sure the beds haven't been replaced since the hotel was built as our bed was extremely uncomfortable. We stayed here because they are pet friendly and frankly were only going to be here to sleep. Our room had a back door that led out to an area which had a path and was treed. A perfect area to walk the dogs. This area also had a volleyball net and a great pool area. They had a smaller pool indoor but we didn't swim. The breakfast was great for being a part of your stay. You are issued coupons at check in. On a Sunday they had eggs, biscuits, gravy, sausage and potatoes as well waffles and other pastries. This hotel was a great bargain, it is off the highway next to a casino. It definitely could be freshened up but I think it could just be the area. The only thing that would keep me from coming back would be the bed!
Best Western of Lawton is a great place to stay for your next visit to Lawton.Courteous staff awaits you upon arrival.Shuttle van for those needing transportation.Nice & spacious rooms.Close to restaurants, and shopping.Three pools, one indoors.Nice fitness room.A hot & delicious breakfast for an excellent start on your day!!
Staff and service was extraordinary! Room very clean and comfortable. Everyone was so friendly and accommodating. Awesome breakfast, fresh waffles, eggs, sausage along with the usual breakfast cereals and pastries. Enjoyed our stay! Would highly recommend.
The staff at the Best Western Plus in Lawton, OK was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and the pillows/beds were comfy!! The bartender in the lounge was amazing and if I ever would need to go back to this part of the country this is where I would stay.
The hotel has the absolute best of the best employees. The manager Tristan went above and beyond for my husband and I. The room stunk, it was out dated, no television, and the last stay we had no hot water. This place is a junk hole! The only good thing to say is the employees go out of the way to make sure everything that goes wrong is completed. Did I fail to mention the front of their building is falling off?
The front desk staff was nice and friendly . The rooms were clean . And the bed was comfortable . Breakfast in the morning was good . One bad thing was that there was no hot water on one day of our stay . BOO !!!!!!!!!!!!! They did discount the rooms but it would have been nicer to have a hot shower . Also my ac didn't work properly . It was either on or off . You couldn't adjust the temperature .
Love the staff, rooms were very clean, breakfast was great. We were able to park right outside room, We were assisted in finding a large table when we had 8 of us for breakfast. We will book with them when we return to Lawton.
The hotel price was exceptional, including a hot free breakfast. There are three pools and pavilions by the pool for leisure time. The hotel was quiet and clean and tidy. The location is conveniently located close to the army base and the town.
While the front desk staff were helpful and accommodating, the hotel itself is old. Anyone over 6 feet tall would have to duck in the hallways, as the ceilings are that low. Personally, my room had a bit of an odor when we first walked in. The room was okay; but apparently the hotel was "in the middle" of switching to DirectTV, according to the maintenance staff; and we had all of about 5 channels to choose from. I found this out about an hour after calling for maintenance to check on the TV itself.
From the moment you walk in they, everyone is eager to assist. from front desk to maintenance employees. Maid service was excellent. Building is a bit outdated but renovated. Gym was being renovated at the time.
Best Western Plus in Lawton was a nice & cozy Hotel for my recent visit to Lawton.Conveniently located for shopping, eating, and entertainment.Nice friendly staff awaits you upon arrival.Nice, spacious rooms with cozy beds.Sheril makes up some really nice bevarages @ lounge. The hot & fresh breakfast makes for a real nice start for your morning. The indoor pool is nice and warm, excellent for the kiddo's.
I have stayed here many times for business. Each stay is for at least 7 days. Even though the hotel is older, it has been updated. The staff is friendly and very helpful. The full breakfast is good and if you don't want scrambled eggs they will gladly take your special order.
Visiting a family member in Lawton, I chose Best Western Plus here due to previous excellent services at other Best Western locations. I was shocked at the difference in the quality of rooms available as opposed to the other locations. After expressing my displeasure of the first room offered, management immediately corrected the situation and extended. a discount. Although the hotel was under renovation, the roomsavailable left a lot to be desired.
Last minute we decided to getaway and get up and out of the house for the weekend and do some shopping,, museums, etc. The hotel staff was great with getting us a room quickly and in the location we prefered with no problems whatsoever. Comfortable room>> Great Price>> Great Location>>
Hot water was an issue with this hotel. It would not just cool off to luke warm, but disappear completely. Several days, my room was not cleaned. The breakfast was great and so was the pool, although there were not always towels available in the pool area. The beds are comfy.
We had family from out of state. This hotel is always a pleasure to stay at. Since we had children, the swimming was the main reason we chose this hotel. The free breakfast was an added value. All of the employees were friendly and helpful. The rooms were very clean enough space for us to move around.
We decided to stay in a hotel at the last minute due to lateness of hour and exhaustion. We needed one that was pet friendly and still reasonably priced. This one fit the bill. They were friendly, clean, convenient and the bed was great.
My recent stay at this hotel was an excellent choice. The staff is kind, helpful, makes an easy check-in.Rooms are spacious, beds are cozy.Indoor pool is great for the kids.Plenty of restaurants close by,and shopping too.
My wife, oldest daughter, my wife's mother, step-father, and I had a suite during our stay in Lawton while attending our youngest daughter's graduation from US Army Basic Training at Ft. Sill. The overall impression of the property was that everything was becoming worn....a massive interior and exterior facelift would really help. But guests don't come to this hotel to spend their daylight hours in the rooms...the rooms were adequate for a stay such as ours. The big complaint about the room was that the hot shower water was making cameo appearances only, which led to some really invigorating showering adventures. The hotel staff apologized and ultimately compted us one of the nights for that inconvenience. Outside of the room, the hotel elevator doors did not rebound as they should have, and attempted to crush passengers who might have been in the way as the doors closed. But the breakfast quality was far above the norm for such a facility, and the staff were very friendly overall.
We stayed here while visiting our nephew at Fort Sill. We had made reservations online, and at the time weren't 100% sure if we would need an extra day. The front desk staff were accommodating and let us pay for the room day by day at the same reservation price. We did end up staying an extra day. Our room was nice and quiet, with a large TV, microwave and refrigerator. The little refrigerator was quiet and didn't keep me awake all night. Free wifi was also nice. My only complaint would be that there was no vent in the bathroom so it stayed fairly steamy for a while after a shower. As free breakfasts go, this one was really good. The hotel is also a convention center, so they have kitchens on premise, and they do a wonderful job with breakfast. Hot food included eggs, bacon, sausage, potatoes, and more. There were also cold items like pastries, yogurt and cereal. Also DIY waffles. Fruit juices and coffee were also on offer. The ladies in the breakfast area were efficient and friendly and the area is kept clean and neat, and the food is refilled regularly. We very much enjoyed our stay here and would stay here again.
1 night stay. Advertised a restaurant and bar, neither were open Sunday evening or Monday Lunch; Very disappointed in that. The outside is dirty and the inside corridors are not much better. If I were driving by and saw it I would have kept going to much nicer places across the highway. Rooms were average, quiet and comfortable. Staff were Great and everyone was friendly and helpful.
It was our 40th anniversary; the staff was very friendly & accommodating. The hot breakfast was very good but ran out of bacon b/4 we got down there, which was b/4 closing so I didn't mind; the rest was great & wait staff was friendly & apologetic.
We stayed at this location while visiting family during thanksgiving. The check in and out process was effortless with friendly staff to greet you whenever you passed the front desk. Our room was cozy with 2 queen beds and included a full bath, microwave and fridge. The hotel also offered free wifi and a variety of local and national tv channels. There is an indoor and an outdoor pool as well as a guest laundry facility. This hotel also offers an excellent breakfast that included a variety of pastries, cereal, beverages and hot options including grits, eggs, sausage and bacon. Upon arriving to the dining area you are greeted by a friendly attendant that takes your tickets and escorts you to the buffet. I would also like to mention the housekeeping team that was so friendly. Each time we would walk through the halls some member of their team would greet us and ask about our stay and offer their support if we had a need. This was a great place to stay in Lawton.
after a awful trip into Lawton I was so happy to have such a amazing staff that doted on us. they were so friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. the breakfast buffet was amazing! so many options to choose from! Room was nice and clean and beds were so comfortable. If ever in the area again I will deft return to thishotel!!!
I would highly recommend the Best Western Lawton for your next trip/stay in Lawton. The saff is courteous and friendly, ready to accommodate you for your stay.I like the convenience of local places to go nearby, such as restaurants, casinos, and three local Walmarts. The rooms are clen, spacious and a hot breakfast!
We live in Amarillo and met family from ft worth here for a weekend of fun. The crew here was professional and very attentive. Rooms were clean and a super breakfast. We always stay at best western if possible for the rewards.
By far the nicest motel we stayed in on our trip to Texas. We booked a standard King room, they upgraded it to a king suite w/whirlpool tub. It was wonderful. The hot breakfast was great. We will definitely stay here again on our next trip to Texas.
Great Service and always a nice clean hotel to stay in. Diana is truly the best in customer experience she goes out of her way to make you feel like you are at home and not just in a hotel. I stay at this hotel any time I travel to Lawton and that will never change.
I stay at hotels 300 nights a year. I build hotels and I found the staff in great need to be more focused. The night I checked in she was more interested in flirting with the gas/oil people than deal with me and the other two in line. The next morning when I went to get my receipt as I always do, the lady asked me if I had not gotten it slid under the door. I said no. She said, "hmmmm". They must be making the rounds. I said print me one please and she tried and then said she'd email me one. She didn't and I called and just had one, three days later, emailed to me. Disappointed.
I would highly recommend this hotel for families attending BCT graduation. The beds were extremely comfortable, great breakfast and perfect location to the Army base and graduation ceremony. All of the staff were extremely friendly and very helpful.
Best staff ever. They always go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable. Cheryl at the lounge is one of the best bartenders in Oklahoma. She is fun and energetic and always makes sure your drinks and food are perfect. The front desk staff make you feel like your home even though your not. Security makes you feel safe without intimidation . He always is making sure you have everything you need
Though the exterior is kinda dated, the rooms were very nice, breakfast was very good, and the casino next door will shuttle you in a golf cart, it is an easy walk, but it was raining so the lift was appreciated
We stayed for family day and graduation at Ft. Still. This was a fantastic place to stay. Friendly staff. Room very clean comfortable bed. The only issue I had was the fridge didn't get cold enough. I never had any issue with hot water. clean bathroom.
There is a problem with the hot water. We rented two rooms for 3 days, total of 4 guests. We never had a hot shower. the temp would range from freezing cold to barely luke warm. There was a problem with one of the heating/AC units in the room. however, the staff were really nice and tried to help us with our problems. But the hot water problem was never fixed.
I picked this hotel for its location, close to major roads and a casino. The staff were excellent and tried their best to please everyone. The Comanche Casino is next door and will send a shuttle to pick you up and return you to the hotel. Room was clean and comfortable. My compliments to Lori, front desk clerk. She found out by asking that my husband was retired military and gave us the better military rate. She went above and beyond. It happened to be slow when we checked in and she escorted these two "old" folks along the hall to our room. Very sweet and personable. Thanks Lori. One suggestion - Make a listing of local TV stations available in each room.
overall good experience, hotel needs a serious facelift inside and out. staff needs to be more thorough with cleaning and repairs.also food and vending should be more affordable. 3.00 for a cup of noodles that is 45 cents at walmart. thats way to expensive.
We stayed three nights and enjoyed each. The motel is older but has been refurbished. Excellent location to the Fort and sights. The staff was excellent. Very attentive and friendly. We are not fancy folks but the staff tried to make us feel that way.
Staff and room was excellent. I would definitely return. The lounge food took a little longer than I would like, however the quality was very good. The bartender, Shirl, was awesome. I would recommend anyone to stay.
Comfortable hotel with your basic hotel breakfast. It was hot and coffee was plentiful. Employees attentive. My only complaint is the pillows which are very small, but they are fluffy and there are four (two each for side and stomach sleepers). We can count on BW to give us value for our dollar. I recommend enrolling in the rewards program.
Very comfortable room but could use some updating. Air conditioner and bathroom needs attention. Especially the bath tub, very slick bottom. Also couldn't take breakfast back to room even if you had a ticket.
I would recommend this Hotel for your next stay in Lawton Okla. The staff is kind & courteous.Airport shuffle available.Close by restaurants as well as the Victorias Restaurant and lounge onsite. The food is excellent. The bartender is awesome & makes excellent drinks. The rooms are nice and clean.Very spacious and cozy..I give them AA++
We stayed here for an Army graduation. This hotel is very reasonable and the staff was excellent! Very attentive and friendly. Breakfasts were much better than many hotels I've stayed in. I would highly recommend staying here on your next visit.
Best Western Lawton. I cannot thank the Best Western Lawton enough!!!! We arrived in Lawton for a graduation from BOLC and ADA for my son-in-law from Fort Sill. My mother became ill on the way down and became even sicker while staying in Lawton. Dad took her to the Redi-Med and they gave meds that did not work. We then went to the ER a few days later. (We were trying to beat this before our 16 hour drive back to Indiana/Ohio.) Unfortunately, we had to leave while she was still trying to recover. The staff at the hotel was great!!! They found out our situation and really made accommodations for us. To the point where the breakfast attendant was feeding my mother tea and constantly asking about her. (I don't know her name but she was German accent. ) When mom and dad returned from the ER at 5:00 am, they made sure we had a late check out. I cannot say enough praise for these employees and can only say “Thank you” for their help during a difficult situation. You all deserve 10 stars.
It is an older hotel but has been remodeled. Beds and rooms are very comfortable. Rate was the best. Pool and exercise room very nice. Free breakfast is fantastic and over the top with fried eggs to order. Staff is friendly, professional and they are there to serve. It is a happy place. We will definitely stay there again.
The price is excellent. The location is good. The rooms are a little small. The service is great. Will stay again if I am in the area. The back of the hotel is beautiful, and peaceful and the pools are clean. Can't beet this hotel.
My wife and I were on a three day motorcycle ride. We stayed here our last night away. Every member of the staff greeted us in some way. They offered to let us park our bike under the covered entry area for peace of mind. The room was clean and well maintained. The free breakfast was nice. I will be staying here again.
We reserved our room online at the Best Western Convention Center for a Thursday night. After driving 24 hours from Florida to Oklahoma we arrived at the hotel around 7 a.m. check in time was supposed to be 3 p.m. as you can imagine, after 24 hours in a vehicle we were ready to eat take a shower go to bed anything other than wait another 8 hours before we can check into our room. The front desk receptionist was extremely pleasant she gave us two complimentary breakfast buffets in the hotel restaurant while she tried to figure out if there was some way we could get an early check in. I have to say the (auce) breakfast was phenomenal! There were eggs, bacon, fresh waffles, fresh fruit, biscuit and gravy, hot coffee and much more. To get back on track, we were handed keys to our room [ yes 8 hours early!] So we got to the room it was clean, comfortable and had all the amenities. We decided to book another night and stay a day longer! Everyone from the receptionist to the waitresses to the maids we're extremely polite, helpful, and thoughtfully quick. Anything we asked for or about was immediately addressed. And I have yet to mention the workout room and three pools! Bottom line if you're going to Fort Sill / Lawton for a military graduation or any other reason I would not hesitate to give this experience a 10 and suggest you check it out. Last but not least, the room was very affordable and if you stay two separate times you're on a free night and if you stay to separate times you earn a free night stay!
This hotel is absolutely wonderful. The front desk has the best staff I have encountered for a hotel. The women are kind, helpful (bi-lingual), & beautiful. The manager at the front desk went above and beyond for my family. She gave us a discounted rate that we were not expecting along with being amazing with our children. My son commented that she looked just like Barbie. We purchased a suite with 2 beds and the room was so spacious and nice. We will for sure be staying at the hotel if we ever come to Lawton again.
We had a good time at this hotel. Everyone went above and beyond with everything. Only complaints were the room had a moldy/wet smell. Our companions also had a room that too smelled moldy/wet. The pool area was nice, although as other reviews stated the pool could use a little work with some patching etc. The breakfast was great. Simple basics but the potatoes were kick butt good! Sausage, grits, oatmeal, breads, everyone was wonderful in the restaurant area and it was clean. The place definitely needs a facelift but for what you pay, it was a great option while staying for a military graduation. Hotel was quiet, which was nice and of a concern with doors outside and inside.
