You will be very happy with how your treated. From the front desk manager to the housekeeping staff. The sweetest ladies fix your breakfast and make you feel at home! The pool is fun for you and my 9 yr old loves it! It's covered, clean, warm, and momma doesn't get a sunburn!!!

I surprised my husband with a night away for his birthday. The front desk staff were helpful. The rooms were very clean spacious. They had the best breakfast I've had at a hotel in a very long time. I highly recommend it.

Outside is NOT maintained. My husband didn't want to stay when we drove up but we had already reserved a room. Breakfast is until 10am on Sunday mornings. Since it was busy, I came down around 9:50 and all of the hot items had already been put up. I think they ran out of food, but they knew they had ball teams showing up so they should have prepared. I asked the girl at the check out if breakfast was until 10 and she said "yes, but they are already picking up". So why say until 10 if you are going to run out of food and start picking up at 9:45? Rooms were clean. Guess they ladies cleaning the inside need to clean the outside since no one else is. Would not stay here again. Sorry

Very disappointed in this Best Western, in fact if not had prepaid for three nights should have checked out the first night......took grandkids, poolwas so dirty could not see bottom on the shallow end, went to loby 6 times the first night because TV would only get one channel, went back second night because couldn't get but one channel they finally replaced tv,. Had no sheets for pullout sofa went to housekeeping on our floor and was told I would have to go to laudry on first floor to get sheets,. I am very disappointed on this motel.....but live and learn will not use Best Western in future..what should have been a relaxing enjoyable three days with grandchildren ended up being three nights of frustration...never again

Two hours after checking in our travel ball team every single family had fraud charges on their cards to some warehouse in Canada. We reported this to the actual hotel and to the corporate office and its been over two weeks and NOTHING has been done. Apparently, corporate stated that they have been having issues......REALLY NOW???

This hotel is very centrally located in Cajun country. Easy access to all attractions, restaurants etc. The have breakfast every morning and cookies setting out in afternoon, nice inside pool. If visiting area this is the place to stay

You'll love the staff at this location. From the management to the best desk reception personnel ever. The breakfast is amazing and the lady who sets up and makes sure you have a great start to your day. It's very reasonably priced and clean. We love staying and swimming and using the gym.

I was quoted a rate of $89.99+tax which should have been 101.69. When I check out (Dana) stated the computer was down and that she would send an email with my statement. I checked my credit card to see if I was charged and I was...$126.69, an additional $25. I called back and was told that it is the policy of this hotel to add an additional $25 "in case" there was damage and or thief. Furthermore, that "some banks" issue an immediate credit while others take 3-5 business days. THIS IS PURE NONSENSE and a terrible billing practice. So much for Best Western.

My room had a bad mildew odor; I had a towel that was stained, and the carpet desperately needed shampooing. I enddd up checking out and going to another hotel the next day. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Well I was told 120.00 but was charged 179.00 on my credit card. Now no on will answer the phone..... Keeps saying no one in to take your calls, really? I will continue to call until I find out why I as charged so much. Not happy at all, this took away from me and my family... Sad too cause I've been here several times and always had good experiences. Normally pay 90.00, but was okay with the 120.00....Not okay with the 179.00

I stayed here over two nights for business and overall my stay was pretty good. The room was clean and comfortable, a bit of noise from the hall in the morning when the cleaning staff was out and about. The breakfast area is very spacious with a good selection. I was thankful for the frozen items behind the counter in the guest pantry. After a late work night that frozen pizza was a great thing! My only feedback is for the staff to be friendlier and to change the floor cleaning procedure. I checked in at 2:57pm literally and the attendant told me check in was at 3pm, and she wasn't making a joke. Okay. Also, take the amount of floor cleaner you are using and cut it in half. The floors were sticky and the smell was overwhelming.

The hotel was OK, clean and comfortable. The breakfast was OK, not the best. The internet code changes at midnight but the staff failed to alert me unlike the other hotels where the internet is good till the end of your stay. They also wanted me to sign a document at check out but refused to let me have a copy of the document. By law if you sign any document, you must be given a copy, they refuse so I refused to sign. I will never stay here again and this is the town that I was born in and plan to return but will not stay here.

The hotel is an average hotel. The internet code last till midnight then it changes, the code should last till your check out. The staff wanted me to sign a document at checkout but I refused because they would not provide me with a copy of the document I signed.

The outside of the hotel makes the hotel look very nice. The lobby is even decorated nicely. The rooms look dingy and gross though. That it just my thought from the one that I stayed in. It did not smell good either. Also, the website says that they have a bar and that is a lie.

Great stay at a great location. Hotel was quite. Nice swimming pool, but would be even better if there was a restroom at the pool area. Breakfast was good with plenty of choices. Room was clean, quite, and AC and Heater both worked good. Check-in and Check-out was a breeze.

They don't dry the sheets completely. Feels like sleeping is some other persons old sweat. Complained and they changed the sheets but the new sheets also felt moist. I considered switching hotels but found very few available options. Ended up buying some blankets from CVS to sleep.

Best Western. A very pleasant surprise for a first time visit. Good location (neighbor), felt safe and secure. Very nice facility. Check-in was fast, friendly, and helpful. Room was very nice. Very good maintenance, housekeeping, and decor. The room was as if newly remodeled. Had a special request that was promptly handled cheerfully and friendly. Again... Pleasantly surprised. Thanks for a great job. Best western sets the standard again.

Stayed three days for a family function; but didn't look forward to time at the hotel as it is worn out and in dire need of a rehab and deep clean. Staff was friendly enough but it doesn't make up for our room having a constant strange smell to it. Entrance ways strewn with cigarette butts aren't welcoming. Don't let the "Suites" overly influence your desire to stay here. The beds were comfortable and clean but small. On a bright note they brew great coffee. There is better value out there.

The room had an odor in it, the beds were not very big and the free breakfast was ok. More breakfast to be available. The rooms should have queen size beds not full in the 2 bedroom suites. The room had a bleach smell to it.

Over all stay was great staff for the most part was very friendly! Really liked the night shift very much friendly and talkative, on nights couldn't sleep Mrs Pat the over night clerk very very much friendly and talkative!!?? liked her very MUCH!! But overall i would stay here AGAIN, hotel rooms are very NICE clean and spacious rooms. Breakfeast was very very much tastful an hot when the guy cook does breakfeast Travis is his name! It's great hot not overly cooked or cold. You don't any negativity coming from him, the lady that does breakfeast as well sometimes complains how she don't like people how complains on personal issue's, where guest can here her. Not good customerservice at all to hear this at all. But i will be back an would stay here AGAIN!! Make sure to say hello to Mrs Pat definitely she's the BEST in my opinion!!!

Very friendly and accommodating staff. Good location and convenient to most area attractions, points of interest, major arteries, the downtown area and good restaurants. Being warm during my stay, I had the air conditioner turned on during the night and was not able to direct the flow of cold air directly onto my bed.

Stayed for one night while in Lafayette for swamp tour. Easy check in and friendly staff. The room was clean and bed was comfortable and spacious. The breakfast offering was very good. Easy to find and in a good location. Would stay again.

I was in town celebrating my birthday with family and friends, decided to stay at the Best Western because it was closer to my destination the following day. The Front desk Manager checked me in, she was extremely nice and professional, my room was clean and breakfast the next morning was delicious!! I will be back, I heard there is new management, they are doing a great job, I will stay here next time I am in town!

Found online and booked because close to friends and indoor heated pool. Booked a suite. Room is large with 2 tv's, 2 beds and sofa bed. Room was clean. Pool clean also. Breakfast was ok. Waffles and other hot items like eggs, sausage, bacon. Community coffee which is a plus.

I stayed at this hotel because it advertised that it had a hot tub i have a bad back and was really looking forward to it but nope no HOT TUB. Mold on the ceiling of the shower, wet floor and bedding.

"Worst stay ever"

Front desk and cleaning staff were unfriendly and ver rude. Bathroom door didn't close. Woke up to a screaming alarm on the phone in the middle of the night. Nothing to eat or drink for breakfast. No cutlery. When asking staff to provide these they were unresponsive. Staff boyfriends hanging around in cars in the car park. Terrible stay. Cancelled the rest of our stay there.

This place was nasty. We had traveled for aways. We got there around 10-11 can't remember the exact time. We were exhausted. We got two room one for me and my husband and one for my three children. My husband and I went in our room I about pitched a fit. It was totally disgusting it had not been clean. We stayed but I will never do it again. The countertop hadn't been cleaned the carpet not vacuumed. We kept shoes on until it was time to go to bed. Soap was left on the sink. I got a rag out and cleaned up as best as I could. The halls had an oder and the breakfast who knows how it was I didn't eat. To repeat myself I will NEVER stay here again. I will say this my kids room was very clean.

I called around Lafayette to search for in suite jacuzzi tubs and stumbled upon the Beat Western Plus Vermillion River Suites. The person who answered the phone when I called went above and beyond any expectation I had. She told me they were having some remodeling done that she would personally check to make sure the room I was looking for was available. Turns out the room I was trying to book was one being remodeled. So she searched and found one with the same accommodations that was open for the night. The manager on duty the day we checked out did the same, went above and beyond for us. We were looking to get change to use the dryer for our clothes. Instead of having us pay to use the dryer for a single piece of clothing she took my item and used the dryers for the hotel. Every staff member that crossed our path during our stay asking us if there was anything they could do or if we needed anything. Amazing experience.

Overall it was a pretty good place to stay. There were a lot of places near by to eat. There was a good selection for breakfast. The staff was very friendly. The bed was very comfortable. Would probably stay at this location again there was plenty of room for my children if I would have brought them.

The Best Western in Lafayette is a great place to stay for a great price. The indoor pool was perfect after a long day of walking and being out in the heat! The breakfast bar had many options available. The beds were very comfortable and I fell asleep in minutes! However, the best part was the hotel staff. They were very friendly and helpful. They were unable to fix a minor problem with our room and moved us to a new room without us even asking!

Very average. Staff was all very friendly. The couple problems we did have were handled appropriately. I'm not usually over-critical but, there are a couple of other suite accommodations in the immediate area at which I have stayed. I much prefer those for just a few more dollars.

Our room smelled like cat urine. We stayed for a weekend and it was never cleaned. We had to keep asking for sofa linens and towels for 6 and they continuously questioned how many people. Trash cans in our room, at breakfast, and outside were overflowing with garbage. People were sneaking into the pool. Staff was extremely rude and argumentative as our keys quit working and I waited at the front desk for 20 minutes. The staff person said I absolutely was not waiting that long. Yes - I was.

We picked this hotel because it was a price breaker but we did got for our money...I think carpets should be prohibited in this climate because the room was smelling humidity all the time. We decided to come in late every night so we spend less time in the room because of this. Breakfast is included but the quality reminds you every one can ruin a microwave meal...Service was inconsistant, ranging from the employee of the month to the careless attitude. I have been used to better expeirence in BW before. A family hotel doesnt mean cheap by any standard.

Worst hotel ever visited. Worst manager on duty (Theresa). I made a reservation less than an hour prior to arriving thru Expedia and upon arrival found this hotel to have a horrible moldy or maybe pet smell so I did not wish to stay here they were not crowded at all, had only a few customers yet she still charged me full price for the stay even thou I never even checked in and could not had possibly been keeping another customer from booking because there were hardly no customers there at all. I offered to make a reservation at a different best western near by but she wasn't having any resolutions at all. Will never use a best western plus again. Also explained i had respiratory problems that prevented me from staying that I wasn't trying to be difficult but she didn't care at all. Thank you Theresa!!!

Great value. The breakfast is good and the room comfort is good. Needs bigger pillows on the beds. Good location, conveniently located. Nice staff. Exterior needs a little sprucing up. Give them a try, nothing to lose.

We came to stay the night with our grandson because it showed as having a indoor pool within 2 hours we left I have always stayed at Best Western and this is by far the worst hotel we stayed at told receptionist the reason we were leaving as the tub had roaches in it,the carpet was horrible,the icebox was dripping all over but somehow we still got charged 112.00 dollars for staying 2 hours so yes lesson learned take it from me RUN as fast as you can dont and I mean dont stay here

This stay, unlike others in the past at this Hotel was not very pleasant. My wife slipped on a rug going out one of the exit doors. When she approached the desk person on duty, she was met with a ho-hum response. Management was not notified at the time and did not find out about the incident until the next day after my wife had to go to the emergency room for treatment. The manager was very concerned and helpful once this was brought to her attention. The one person of the staff that seemed to be concerned was the maintenance man on duty at the time. He was very considerate and helpful and it was very much appreciated. We also had issues with our reservation. I had originally booked the room through Booking.com for 4 days beginning the 27th of June through the 1st of July. We were notified by the Dept of Childrens and Family Services during the trip there that they had booked a room for us for one night at another hotel in New Iberia. I called the desk and explained the situation and was told that it would be no problem to start the reservation on the following night of the 28th. When we checked in I asked if we could extend the reservation by one more night with check out on the 2nd of July. I was told it was also no problem. When the Saturday, the 1st of July, came around my wife fell early in the morning and about an hour later went to the Emergency Room for swelling of her knee. When they returned just prior to noon, they were not able to get into the room and found that all of their belongings had been packed up and put in storage. No record of the conversation I had with the desk clerk had been noted and records indicated that they were supposed to check out at 11am on the 1st. The manager was advised of the error and the belongings were returned within the hour and the room was booked for one more night.

I haven't left a hotel without spending the night in more than 20 years. I didn't last an hour here. It was awful. The room smelt horribly moldy. We even asked to change rooms and it wasn't even better. There were also no towels in the room. NONE! When we called the front desk, they showed up 20 minutes late with hand towels and wash cloths, because they said they were out of full size towels. It was far from full occupancy, so I'm baffled that they would be out of towels. I finally gave up and went to the Courtyard down the street. DO NOT STAY HERE!

A very friendly staff and good breakfast in the morning. A great place to stay with kids when going to sporting events. More than one entrance means ease getting to all the rooms of the 3 floors. Very near to eating and shopping. Airport is not far.

"Needs major improvement"

My family and I (including 1child) stayed here for a quick leisure get away. I don't like to complain about stuff things. We checked in late. Enough to where I just wanted a hot bath in Jacuzzi tub from working all day to find hair. I don't mean just a few strands because I was just going to clean it myself but as I started I noticed pubic hair on sides of tub in the tub on on jet area. There was hair all in the shower. I informed the front desk of the situation she was going to switch our room but after watching her dig through 6 obvious files that meant they were booked i gave up and asked to make sure it was clean in morning. I asked for extra towels but informed there were none. We also only had eboygh toilet paper that lasted till the next morning. She informed me supervisor would know. Only to find out the next morning when house keeping came no one knew of my prob. They took our dirty towels at 10am. And the new towels were not replaced until after 4pm when the room got cleaned. Contact foot traffic all hours of the night. Only thing good was the breakfast and fresh coffee all day long. My worst hotel stay.

Lovely hotel with wonderful service. The staff were delightful and helpful, everywhere clean and appeared newly decorated. Lots of nice restaurants nearby. Easy to access. The nicest Best Western we have every stayed in.

No response from website or management when we voiced concerns. Would not ever return there. Checked out of there and then checked into an awesome place for the remainder of our stay. Other guests were just as disappointed at the situation. This was the worst place we have stayed in many years.

First of all front desk (ashley) very rude. Check in shouldn't be a hassle when you had a reservation. Had 3 people in room and only 2 towels, asked for more front desk said they have none.Rooms needs a good cleaning. My parents stayed in another room it was the same. They had people that checked in went to room and it wasn't cleaned at all.

Hotel is very dated and needs a major overhaul. Not up to Best Western Hotel Standards. Outdated furniture/décor. Beds are not that comfy. First room we had smelled bad. Pulled out the sofa bed to discover a brown wet liquid under the mattress, source of the bad smell. Was moved to a different room, but not what we originally had. Not the receptionist fault, she was wonderful. Next room did smell better, but was not clean. Room had been cleaned, but not Best Western Standards. There was mold in the shower and tub. Carpet was stained. Only 2 towels, 2 washcloths and 2 hand towels in the room. Second night asked for towels, approximately 8 PM, no clean towels, they were in the washer. Forced to use hand towels to dry off with. Hotel was unbelievable loud! There was a birthday party going on at the pool, kids were constantly up and down the hallway, running, yelling, talking loud well after 11 pm. Room next door played loud music all night. Kids were running up and down the hallway early the next morning unsupervised and at the breakfast bar, handling all of the food with their hands. Overall, very disappointed from our last stay here, over 2 years ago. Hotel needs some major improvements or we will not return.

This property has comfortable beds, a good breakfast, and is a good value for the money. The room we stayed in has a king sized bed and is plenty large enough. The seating area has a microwave, a small table with two chairs, a counter area and a sink. The lounge area has two chairs and ottomans, but I think a sofa would be better. Staff is pleasant and personable. I plan to stay at this Best Western again.

Would not recommend this motel to anyone. The cleaning staff should all be fired. Room smelled bad. Did not vacuum, clean bathroom, change sheets. It was pathetic. Lady at breakfast had a bad attitude. Would of been better sleeping in a tent somewhere.

I chose this hotel based on previous experiences at other Best Westerns. Upon arrival, the person at the front desk ignored me for several minutes and then showed her annoyance at having to check me in. I was given a smoking room when a nonsmoking room was booked. Expedia was able to correct this mistake. No apology was given and the second room smelled very strongly of bleach. After opening the window to the room and to the hallway to provide cross ventilation, I was able to remain in the room. The only bright spot was the complimentary breakfast. Many hotels in this area are available and I suggest you try one of them.

Travelled for business but was placed right by pool. Could not study or nap due to high traffic area of kids and noise. Room had funny odor and cable would not work until maintenance came. Front desk was kind though.

Rooms could've been cleaner, wasn't able to check in on time because the rooms weren't clean by 3pm. The breakfast was great, room was ok, fitness center was nice, great area with lots of food/shopping places within close distance. Sale prices at best western have been on point!

This is a fine hotel in the middle price range, located near the airport in Lafayette, Louisiana. Good modern rooms, good breakfast buffet. The location is about five miles southwest of downtown Lafayette. If you are traveling on I-10 you might want to find someplace closer to the highway, but this is a great location if you are flying in or out of Lafayette, or driving on US Route 90 or other highways and byways of South Louisiana.

This BW is very attractive and the decor, bathrooms, fixtures and carpets are immaculately maintained. The breakfast contained hot eggs, meats and of course, waffles. Other choices were beautifully presented. Lobby and breakfast area was spotless.

Stopped here with my sons for one night. The boys loved the pool. It was nothing fancy, but the water was kept a really nice temp. Room was clean and spacious. Staff was really friendly, especially the lady running the breakfast in the morning. I would stay here again if in the area.

At check in my rate went from 82 to 109 said they would change it for to room now shower curtain called front desk well they bring me a window curtain it was disgusting had black nast stuff all over it then pull fold out couch out it was blankets wadded up in middle with look like human waste all over it then call again an they say we have no towels no blankets or pillows took 3 days to get shower curtain and manager said she would comp one night or give great discount and she didn't so was checking out and seen numerous of German roaches eewwww so told manager and she just looked at me like I was crazy

Best Western Corporate should get to Lafayette and cover the brand sign. This hotel was absolutely nasty. We were put in a smoking room and then told it wasn't a smoking room but on a smoking floor. The room stunk and there was an ash tray on the table. Clearly a smoking room. The carpet was filthy and even had crumbs and an empty battery box in plain site. The drapes were dirty and wrinkled. In all just plain dirty. There was a fitness center but had a hand written note saying closed. The staff were friendly and seemed to be doing the best they could. The breakfast was ok but the layout of the room made it almost impossible to get a whole plate in one trip. I will never consider this hotel for myself again. Strongly do not recommend!

My wife and stayed for two nights and between my credit card and my daughters credit card that they were not authorized to use (she and her husband were not there). They charged us for 4 nights, 1 on my credit card, 1 night on rewards and 2 nights on my daughters card. We checked in on April 2nd and checked out on April 4th and discovered the unauthorized charges to my daughters card 2 days later. Their first response was that it is a pending charge and will disappear within 3 days, we told them it wasn't pending and her account had been debited. After going round and round with this person we requested to speak to the manager. She wasn't available but did call back Saturday the 8th. We explained the problem again and her answer was it was pending but would not be charged to her account, then she tried to blame the bank and said corporate would have to refund the money. Corporate told us that the hotel had to provide the refund but to hold for a minute and he would call the hotel and try to resolve this. 15 minutes later he came back to us and admitted it took him awhile to explain our situation. He asked that we give the hotel until Thursday or Friday to complete the refund. On Thursday my wife called the hotel to ask why a refund had not been issued and was hung up on. I then called corporate again, gave them the reference number given to us by the first person and he assured us that we would receive a call back from the hotel general manager or the owner. I waited 24 hours called customer service again and was apologized to because they have been been really busy. I suppose my next next move will be to contact the Lafayette district attorney and file a complaint for for unauthorized use of a credit card. I won't even get into the dirty room and no toiletries. I will however write their response. We are sorry you aren't happy and I will talk to the staff about this.

Hotel front desk staff was very nice. Older hotel...good size suite with couch, table, & 2 TVs. Nice enough pool area but pool was too cool for me. No public hottub so acquired room with one. It fairly wide, but shorter than a regular bathtub so hard to get comfy. VERY, and I mean VERY HOT water...make sure you use both faucets to fill it...I almost scorched myself when I stepped in not thinking to test the water first. Jets were strong enough. Didn't eat breakfast, but the eating area looked nice enough. Would probably stay again but wouldn't pay much extra for the short hottub (might be okay if you are very short).

Room was still dirty from previous guest. No pool towels and if your white and the guest host is black you probably won't get any pool towels. Roach dead in the tub. Crap was on the towel that was hanging up on the tub.

We were very disappointed in this hotel. We have come cross country and stayed in many Best Westerns from the west coast to the east coast and now going back to the west coast. The girl at the desk the first night we arrived had no welcoming personality and that continued whenever we asked something. We had to do some wash. They had only enough quarters for us to do the wash so we had to go out and get some to use the dryer. When I used the dryer, I found several grease marks on our clothes. I thought I checked everything carefully but later found other clothing ruined. We were reimbursed about $100.00; but, again the girl at the desk was hesitant about giving us an adequate reimbursement. I later found some other clothes that were damaged but will let the other damaged clothes go. When we went for breakfast, the girl was very unpleasant. When my husband asked about a toaster, she grumbled..."don't have one". Never was she pleasant the couple of days we were there....very unlike the other Best Westerns we stayed in across the country. The overall experience was unpleasant.

Location not very near highway and you must drive through a very "iffy" area to reach hotel. Weird smells in room; everything felt damp including the carpet and towels. Service was poor, breakfast was inedible, just not a good place to stay.

The rooms were smelly & we didn't get any room cleanings when I asked for days. I flew all the way from Alaska to visit family. Everyone who worked there didn't have good customer service. I am flying out a day sooner and couldn't get a refund for the days I didn't stay. I AM NEVER STAYING THERE AGAIN!! Please don't stay there it's not worth it.

Drug paraphernalia and empty alcohol bottles in hall. Employees used the hotel as a child care center, children running throughout building. Seemed like some guests lived at the hotel and or used as a personal party palace. Entire property smelled like smoke. Front desk did not answer phone for hours at a time. I booked my room through the 800 # and was given a rate of 94.49 got to the hotel and the room key box did not work. Had to go back down four times before they came to the conclusion that it was their door equipment. They then transferred us to another room and charged my card 129. When I complained about the difference the worker stated she could not change it I would have to call in. I still have not received a resolution a week later.

The property is starting to show its age but the suites are very spacious. There is a musty smell at first when you enter the room. However it didnt bother us after a few minutes. Check-in was hood if not mechanical. Breakfast was one of the best I've seen in Louisiana. Good variety. Wifi was fast and reliable.

From the time I walked in management was very rude, and didn't even say hello. Went to the room it was a very huge room kinda smelled a little bit but got the housekeeping supervisor and she fixed it up immediately. First time going to breakfast after being there 4 days and I met Goldie at the front desk, she made my Saturday, her mannerisms and professional appearance. I thought she was the GM or something cause she was the first front desk agent to speak and assist like she did, she's a great worker. The hotel is nice a spacious and I love the space in my room. The only bad thing was when I first checked in the manager and GM were very unprofessional. And I will be calling corporate also.

It's an older hotel that was recently renovated. They did a good job on the renovation. The rooms are clean, beds are great, staff is very nice. Rooms have a sitting area and a mini kitchen. I was hesitant to book it based on the price thinking it may be more of a Best Western vs. a Best Western Plus (big difference) but it's every bit as nice as a $120-$150/night hotel. In a nice area with plenty of restaurants within 1/2 mile. Will absolutely stay again when in the area.

"Hotel with some problems"

This is a decent hotel that has some problems. The worse is the musty smell in the rooms. Running the ac and the fan all the time helped but the smell returned immediately if they were turned off. Other problems were that the phone in our room did not work and was not fixed after we reported it. The maid on Saturday did no cleaning, just removed used towels and did NOT replace them leaving us with no towels when we returned. Had to go to front desk and ask for towels. The electronic key stopped working twice and had to be reset. The elevator was out of service one day. On the plus side, the staff was friendly and did their best to make things better. The breakfast was one of the best I have seen in similar hotels.

Qualified for a free night, so took advantage of it in Lafayette, LA. We were given the "Presidential" Suite, which, although it was quite spacious, it lacked furniture in the "living" area. There was a continual, annoying noise that sounded like someone was turning a faucet on & off. And... it smelled heavily of BLEACH!!! Not so "presidential" in my book. (I wonder if the current candidates would consider it such?!?!?!). Anyway... when we were leaving for dinner, the elevator was "out of order" and being on the third floor we got our exercise! It was still not functioning on our return! The good news was that when it came time to take our luggage to our car, it was working. YAY! We only stayed here because of having accumulated enough points for a free night. To do it over again, we'd definitely choose another brand!

Stayed at this hotel as part of brand loyalty but was very disappointed. Room was more of a youth hostel standard, breakfast room was open but hardly any food although an hour before finishing time and definitely not as advertised. Both baggage trolleys broken. Broken seat in room and odor, missing light bulb. Staff disinterested and confrontational when alerted to anything wrong, not necessary in this day and age. Hotel probably seen better days, Avoid.

Not told only room left was smoking when I made the reservation. When we arrived it was too late to get another hotel, others were booked. Nasty room. Breakfast DON'T. I don't know what they did to eggs. Really bad. Couldn't eat. Fruit was frozen. And as I was trying to serve myself at 9:05 she was taking it away. She said "breakfast is till 9". Never again.

The most poorly managed Best Western we have ever experienced. The first morning no breakfast was available because "the truck broke down." The second day the in-room coffee service was not replenished with regular coffee packets because "that's on back order." Third day could not even make decaf in room, no cups. Fourth day the room was not cleaned at all and had to ask desk for clean towels. The ice machine on ground floor was out of service for our entire stay. The elevator was so filthy it reeked. Men's restroom off lobby was out of service for 3 days. Visited ladies room just before leaving-no toilet paper!

We stayed 2 nights here as it was so convenient for visiting local attractions. A long way out of the city centre but as it turned out not a problem for us. Very helpful and friendly staff on reception who recommended a great place to eat - Randol's. We liked our room very much - lots of space with a well equipped kichenette area separate from the bedroom. Breakfast was OK - plenty of room in the dining area which is welcome and staff were pretty good with clearing up although not refreshing hot items towards the end of the session which was poor. There was a group of youngsters staying who were noisy in the pool till quite late but not a problem by the time we wanted to go to sleep.

Good hotel for the price - guest rooms redecorated - very nice. At breakfast time there was spilled cereal & milk on the floor near the coffee maker & I called the breakfast lady mopping the foyer & told her of the spill. She immediately cleaned it out & told the children seating on one table not to help themselves unless their parents are there. One having cereal & milk.

We had two rooms from the 13th to the 17th of July. The staff all around was amazing. First the front desk, kind, polite, well informed. Had us checked in, in what felt like seconds. Once in our rooms they were spotless, very clean, everything in place. Each morning we woke up, the house cleaning staff was amazing. Bright smiles, warm and friendly. Even told us of places to visit and food to try. I can assure you, if you want a place that will make you feel at home when away from home? Stop here. Worth it!

Not up to the standards of a Best Western Plus hotel. If you're counting on eating their breakfast, get there early because they can't wait to shut it down. Breakfast was supposed to be served until 9:00. We were running late and didn't get to the breakfast until 8:50, but everything had already been put away, even though several tables of guests were still eating. There was no food, no milk for cereal, nothing. The employee working the breakfast had obviously started putting everything away by 8:45, because there was nothing there when we got there at 8:50.

This used to be our go to spot when travelling to Lafayette to see grandkids. Never Again! The daytime staff absolutely wonderful, from the front desk to the breakfast attendants. However, Housekeeping was unpredictable on our last stay and failed to clean our room. When I asked for fresh towels since our room had been skipped I was greeted by a surly, verbally abusive young lady, no scratch that, there was nothing ladylike about her behavior, I was greeted by a young person that looked at a list and said we had left a note on the door telling housekeeping to skip our room. Absurd, and totally untrue. I told her that was not the case and asked for towels and toiletries, she actually wagged her finger in my face and said housekeeping wouldn't have left a note saying that if it wasn't true and that she was going to call her manager and tell him what I said. I'm not kidding, she actually threatened to "tell on me" . Anyway, you read about a lot of situations escalating when dealing with a "nut case" so I wished her a good night and didn't bother with clean towels. We had stayed at this motel many times before without incident, and maybe this was an isolated case, and hopefully this person has been terminated or moved on. However, we will not be taking a chance, there are too many options in Lafayette. I want to reiterate though, the ladies at the front desk when we checked in and the lady that maintained the breakfast area were all very gracious and professional.

Me and my wife had a great stay at this hotel and the front desk clerks were great and service was great . my hats off to them. it was every easy to get too from the interstate and we really like the fact that the pool was indoors and how parking was so easy.

This hotel is a great value and they have great facilities and staff. The included breakfast is hot and has a great variety. The breakfast staff is ready to help and does a great job. Consumers be aware if you plan on staying at this hotel. I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights over the Memorial weekend. To say that this hotel is terrible is too nice. Room - Bathroom had mold showing. Breakfast - very continental, juice was colored water. Desk Clerks was not empowered, had to call off duty person for all decisions. On the last day I left the room at 1030 to attend an all day reunion. I returned at 11:30 PM anticipating a few hours of comfortable sleep before I left. The room had not been touched since I left that morning. Trash still not emptied, bed not made, and bathroom just as dirty when at left earlier that day. Went to the front desk to report the situation and the attendant said that she could not help unless the manager approved, and the manager was at a party. She texted him, now its about 12 midnight. I returned to my room unable to sleep in the filth and wash my face with a clean towel. About 12:45 PM the attendant said that the manager had finally approved for my wife and I to be moved to another room. Her comment, " I was lucky." See pictures that I took of the room after being going all day. To my fellow consumers looking for a night stay, avoid this hotel. Lodgers be beware, stay away!!

Very clean, good breakfast. Close to attractions we wanted. Had king room and was very comfortable Went on Cajun Food tour and this hotel was on list for pickup by tour. Good wifi signal. Never used pool.

Great hotel. Very friendly staff. Rooms spacious and very clean. Was there for business and wasn't able to check in till after 11:00pm, but with a simple call to let them know and they had everything ready for me when I got there. Best of all, the key worked the first time and for the whole time I stayed. For me this is a rare thing.

Very nice stay. Worth the money. The hotel is in a strange but quite place. The staff is very helpful with area attractions. I wish it had a hot tub. We went for a Harley Run and that long ride needs a way to soak away the soreness.

This is a clean hotel, bed was comfortable. Room was as expected. No issues. There is an ozone smell in the hall, but the room did not have an odor. Thermostat is able to be adjusted and no limited to how cool. Suite was basically a larger room with small sofa small dining table with "wet bar".

Room was very nice. Staff was always pleasant and smiling making it very comfy. As for the breakfast, I didn't get to much because they had a little league there and when I went down stairs for breakfast, It was like a circus. And when I finally got a chance, much of everything was gone. I know that is not the fault of the hotel but they should have been ready for the crowd since they knew the team or teams were there.

We had multiple problems with the room. Enough that we had to move rooms twice. The Front desk staff was friendly and tried their best. The Manager was completely non-responsive. We have initiated a chargeback with our credit card company.

I called the hotel very last minute being that my booked reservation else where was disaster. This was for a travel baseball tournament.The staff over the phone was Amazing. The same young lady who booked the reservation, was who greeted me and my family on arrival. Her alone made this stay Wonderful. My room, king suite with jetted tub, WOW, very roomy, the first time they were actually two TV's one in front of the sleep sofa for my two kids, and one for me and my husband with our king bed. He does not like to sleep with the t.v. on. This did accommodate. And the INDOOR POOL. When booking rooms we have to search for hotels with indoor pools, must have for the kids. The breakfast was good. My overall review is FIVE STAR. I like to give great reviews when due, being that this is how I determine my stays.

Lovely stay here ... entering our room, we were in a lounge with a television,a kitchenette with sink microwave and fridge ...bedroom was beyond, twin double beds .everything was clean and I would recommend this .you get a large room for your money . Downside ,breakfast was stone cold, no burners lot under the servers ..apart from that .excellent value

We booked this particular hotel so my daughter could swim in the indoor pool. We were unable to swim for any length of time because there were about 15-20 kids who were loud and inconsiderate at the pool for hours. The room had an odd odor and was not very clean. This hotel advertised a free hot breakfast. We woke up and got dressed and to our surprise there was no hot breakfast, no juice, nothing but cereal and bagels. We were told the lady that cooks did not show up. Upon check out we were not asked how our stay was or any apologies. There were other minor things also, but very disappointed and will not stay here again.

Hotel from appearance perspective was great. Room was spacious and comfortable. This hotel needs staff that are aggressive in keeping up with the amenities they offer. Pool was closed most of the day because it needed to be cleaned, the fitness room lacked towels and neither TV was operational. The free breakfast and coffee was enough, but consistently had to wait on coffee to be made and empty food to be replaced. I'm comparing this to a Hampton Inn type free breakfast and service which I've never had an issue with.

The problem all started with a call to the hotel last week to book a room. When I inquired about the senior rate, the clerk, Alia, told me they didn't have such a thing. When I explained their website said they did, there was no hint of apology, just a sarcastic, 'Well let ME check the website, hold on". No apology, no asking if I'd mind holding while she checked!!! I hung up and went to their national site to book a room. Unfortunately, national has a problem getting my credit card to go through, which was not the first time. I called my bank and verified everything on the card was fine and I still had 90% of my credit limit remaining. Called back to BW national reservation and explained the situation to the clerk. He couldn't get their system to work either so said he'd pass it onto their IT people. Went on this site and found Bookings.com with a price of $88. Booked it there but screwed up the dates by one day. Realized this as soon as I hit the enter key. Called Bookings.com and someone there called the hotel and straightened it out. Only problem was the rate was now $129, because, he said, it was Friday night. This is a load of s..t. We're in the hotel tonight and if there are more than 25 or 30 guests, they're hiding there vehicles!!! Got here tonight after an 11 hour drive. Asked for a quiet room because I'm a light sleeper. Room they gave me had a broken TV. Dragged my tired butt back to reception and she gave us the room across the hall. By this time it was 6PM and that room hadn't been made up, even though it was supposed to be. Dragged my tired butt back to reception. Reminded the clerk I wanted a quiet room, which she acknowledged. Third room is right behind the elevator. By this time we said the h..l with it. We're too damned tired to care anymore. Room is just this side of OK. Too bad the maids vacuum won't reach the edges of the carpet and pick up some of the dust there(sarcasm)!!! The small table they have in the corner wiggles all over. The price through Bookings.com is probably closer to reality for this property than the price they quoted. The clerk left my problem with night desk manager who was supposed to straighten it out, but as of check in tonight, he hadn't. I think our rate is $109???? I like BW as a general rule, but I dislike stupid clerks who just don't seem to give a damn about anything except quitting time. I've never used Bookings.com before and, after the crap their clerk shot me to gouge me on the rate, I'll probably never use them again. If I'm ever back this way, I seriously doubt if I'd stay here even if they had the last room in town. Mr. Manager, the people who represent you are only as good as you insist they are! In the case of this hotel it appears management really doesn't give a s..t!

We rented a room for the week-end for our daughter's surprise honeymoon. The Staff went above and beyond to make sure that our arrangements were taken care of. The amenities at the particular hotel far out weighed any other hotels in the immediate area. It was an awesome experience to deal with a staff that has cares and concerns for their visitors! I liked that we had a suite kind of room, because I was able to get some work done later at night without disturbing her while she slept and vice versa in the morning when she did some stuff. the room was comfortable, nothing fancy, clean.

The room was wonderful! I had two queen beds. I liked how the bathroom was set up with the toilet and shower in the bathroom itself with the bathroom sink and kitchen sink both outside the bathroom. The room was a great size. I liked how the living area was separate from the sleeping area. The room had a small table and 2 chairs. It was very comfortable. Loved the beds! I used the indoor pool and had the breakfast. I would have appreciated even more breakfast options, but I did eat some eggs, potatoes, fruit, and drank orange juice for breakfast. If I had more time, I would have made a waffle.

We were BLOWN away by the HEATED indoor pool! We spent about an hour in the pool when we checked into the hotel...the fact it was heated made our swim so much more enjoyable! The quietness of the hotel was amazing also! We were leaving and realized we had people in the room next door to us - we never knew anyone was even around us!

The whole building reeks of cheap overused air freshener. Desk said the maintenance department adds it to the system. Black mold in bathroom in soap dish and worn carpet with holes. Bed linens cheap, rough and wrinkled enough to make me check to see if they were clean. Yuck

I stayed here a year ago, and had a great stay, so I made the decision to stay again. It was like a totally different hotel. First of all. It was dirty. There was dust on the coffee pot and all behind the TV. You had to unplug the TV by the way to use the coffee pot. My sister found a dirty sock on the wall side of her bed. It was noisy, and you could hear every step the people in the room above us made. Breakfast was nonexistent. By the time we got there at 7:30' everything was gone and not replenished. There was no express checkout and only one ice machine in the hotel. Just not the best experience.

I have found that Best Western Plus hotels are a good value and are better than Hampton Inns. The Vermilion River Suites Hotel is located close to shopping and the Blue Dog Café - Great place to eat. This is a nice hotel with a heated indoor pool. Great for the kids after a long days drive. And don't miss the TABASCO factory.

"Very Warm Swimming Pool"

We had a great stay. We stayed at the Vermilion River location because of the indoor heated pool. They did not disappoint us, the swimming pool was very warm, and the kids loved it. The kids didn't want to get out. They wanted to stay in the pool. I did not get any names of the staff, but they were all very friendly and helpful to us. Room was also clean. No problems.

Very clean and comfortable with an efficient and friendly staff. One of those places where everyone from the manager to the janitor went out of their way to make you feel welcome and to quickly take care of every need. It was nice to have the hot breakfast, which was good although not exceptional. The Hotel was not far from the airport but a little out of the way from the interstate. Lafayette is a great place to visit, especially if you enjoy great food.

Poorly managed, rowdy, out of control staff. Mediocre breakfast, Clean rooms. Front desk help unhelpful. Really nice place, just needs supervision. Bed was excellent. Breakfast also could have been fine with a minimum of care. The magnetic door locks kept failing and we had to get new "keys" four times.

We were looking for something last minute and from the road - and were so please to speak with their friendly staff. Nice facility and great breakfast. Jill was so helpful - and helped us get a room that was on the ground floor near the pool for our daughter.

We enjoyed a two night stay here, and were very pleased. The facility was clean and attractive, and the staff was friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable, and had some very helpful literature about the area. Another reviewer thought that it was noisy, but we certainly didn't notice any of that when we were there.

This place is ok, is very noisy, and seems to cater to a number of sketchy folks; also, it's pretty well-known in Lafayette that this is the place you go to have kid and teenager parties, so be prepared for noise. It was pretty reasonably priced, 70 for king suite.

Having been a Best Western rewards member for a number of years, my family and I have stayed on many properties. Not only was Lafayette and the surrounding area a real treat, this Best Western Plus we all agreed was an excellent choice.

Location was Very Clean, the Staff were very Professional , courteous and Helpful. I would recommend this to any one whether its for business or pleasure, beds were very comfortable, buffet / continental breakfast was very satisfying

I always get good service at this property. I consider it a good value for the cost. The breakfast is always of good quality. I feel safe and secure at this property. The Best Western has been remodeled and updated.

Me and my co workers stayed in this Best Western during the LAGCOE oil show. The staff was very accommodating and helped with any needs that popped up. Also rooms were kept clean exceptionally well. Will be my future spot to stay on future trips to the area.

It seems that the hotel has recently changed management as all the staff we dealt with were new and still receiving training. This meant that check-in and any contact with reception was slow and that staff were totally unaware of local events or restaurants. The room itself was clean and spacious but breakfast was sparse to say the least. The hotel is some distance from downtown but parking is not difficult. We recommend Marcellos restaurant nearby for really excellent Italian food and wine.

See earlier comments at the beginning of the survey where I went into specific issues such and toilet problems, phones that didn't work, stained carpet, strong odor in the room,key card problems, breakfast issues and inexperienced staff. I'm not going write it all over again!

The hotel staff at the desk were helpful and professional. The room was clean and neat. It was comfortable and decorated nice. We ate breakfast there and it was good. The best part is that it was free. I would definitely sleep there again and would recommend to anyone. Overall it was a nice and comfortable stay!

This hotel is always a great place to stay. It is very comfortable and the staff is always friendly. I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a fun place to stay for business or pleasure. It is located near great food and great fun, in the heart of Lafayette.

We found this hotel very disappointing. Though the room was clean it was dark, drab and very uninviting. The paint on the walls did not help, it made the room even darker. The fan made the room look old and out dated. We have always enjoyed our stays at other Best Westerns and been more than satisfied, that is why we booked into this one. Would not Return to this one.

"Not a Good Reflection on other Best Westerns"

We have stayed at other Best Westerns and been more than satisfied that is why we tried this one. Big mistake, this one was dark and outdated. I will say that it was at least clean. This Best Western needs a new décor overhaul, the paint color is not good, it makes the room look even darker. They should also remove the fan.

After having a nightmare in a Choice hotel filled with mold, this BEST Western was a delight .Clean, nice satff who allowed me to see the room first. I love that their reservation phone line is here in the USA and they speak English and know where Louisiana is

My husband and I have been traveling across the US since June and this is easily our favorite hotel for the price. The manager is a lovely, warm woman who was extremely helpful and accommodating. The rooms was lovely. The TV and pool were both excellent. The bed was comfortable. The food was one of the better hotel breakfasts we've had. Highly recommended.
