    « No doubt : anytime ! »

Newly build hotel, very modern with an outstanding staff. As allways, a few imperfections, but in consideration of the price you pay, neglectable. I was on my own, so the Queensize bed was more than spacious enough (note : I'm 2 meters tall...). The room itself, being rather tiny, was a school example of functional interior design. Marvelous integration of all you'd expect on a smaller surface. Two dark spots, only : no fridge and no (what so ever) at the exterior window. The wind was literaly blowing through. Lukely there was a curtainlike screen present that, once lowered, kept the cold out of the room. But, once again : I would stay at this hotel anytime ! ;-)

« Good value but not for the faint hearted. »

Handy for Waterloo (25min) and the amazing boat lift (5 min). The staff are friendly but whoever did the interior design was certainly on some kind of mind altering drug. The colour scheme is bright, the carpet is brick patterned and the bathroom pod in the room just plain weird. Having two life size scary clowns staring at you from the glass pod is a bit odd. The bed was comfortable. The bright orange and black of the breakfast room shouts a big wakey wakey. There was a good selection available for breakfast.

    « Large Comfy Rooms »

I booked a room for 1 adult and 2 children and was very happy with the size and layout of the room. The sofa bed was already pulled out and made upon arrival and the beds were all very comfortable. The room was clean and the shower absolutely fantastic! Location was convenient to the autobahn and near the large boat lift. Staff was friendly, I would definitely recommend!

    « Modern, convenient hotel. »

Orange is a convenient and modern hotel, with many hidden links to the nearby Unesco recognised Carnival of the city of Binche, where oranges are given to the public. The rooms are modern design and well equipped (I am a great fan of rain showers!). And in the morning breakfast is plenty. The hotel has a very nice gym, but it was a pity that the treadmill was out of order when I stayed there. Also I would suggest to rearrange the direction of the fitness machines. It is great to have a TV in the room, but it is basically impossible to look at it when you are doing your workout.

    « What a Find »

I was on my way to an overnight stop in my regular hotel in Charleroi but it was a very hot day and Ibis don't have air con, so checked on line for a hotel with air con and found this place. Brilliant (no more Ibis at Charleroi) the staff were absolutely great, the room was a good 99% perfect. My one and only negative would be the curtains let in light around their edges in the morning. I stay in this area over night at least twice a month and this will be my regular stop from now on. It cost 8€ more than the Ibis and worth every cent of it

« Clean, modern, convenient for the E19/E42 and good value »

A step up from the usual chains which pepper the highways. This is an ultra modern option which is incredibly easy to find off the E19/E42. Parking is plentiful and there are a variety of suites to choose from. The family suite we booked in advance was excellent value for money. It was spacious and clean with plenty of room for 2 adults and 2 children. Breakfast was good quality self service and there were lots of options to choose from. My only criticisms of the family suite are the separate toilet without a sink in it (so you have to come out of the toilet and walk through the bedroom area to the bathroom to wash hands). Also the door to the bathroom is an opaque glass door and when the light is on inside the bathroom it is very bright in the bedroom (so you have to get ready for bed by torchlight or wake the kids up!). Both points makes me think the family suite hasn't been designed by anyone with kids!!

    « Great roadside hotel »

New hotel, rooms reasonably sized, parking is plentiful (and free), verything is modern, staff very friendly, located close to highways but quiet with windows closed, abosultely nothing wrong with this place

« Good hotel modern art »

High quality hotel with great rooms, very new and modern interior, very clean and high standard bed. Coffee and tea on the room is free, for tv there is a big flatscreen Not far to the reataurants, about 1500m This hotel is close to the highway, parking places are available directly in front of the lobby

    « convenient and stylish »

Very pleasant welcome from receptionists who were all extremely friendly. Hotel layout is a bit strange and the colours may not be to everyone's taste, but the room was comfortable and we slept well. The bathroom / shower is not really private (sliding door, no lock, translucent shower wall), so make sure you know the person you are sharing with well. Breakfast was very good, excellent choice plus chef to cook pancakes to order. Location is excellent as close to motorway and convenient for the world famous "Boat lifts"

    « Mostly excellent »

This is the 2nd time we have stayed at the Orange Hotel, and would describe it as mostly excellent. Good points: Location, just off a motorway and ideally placed for a stopover those of us travelling from the UK to Germany. Parking is ample. Breakfast has a wide selection (reminiscent of the UK TV advert ? ?every food known to man?. I'd describe the cake made form leftover croissants & pain au chocolat as a step too far though.). Staff ? generally very helpful with excellent command of English. Restaurants ? there is one next door, but if you fancy a change then the town of Binche is a 10minute journey south on a straight road, with a wide choice. Not so good. TV ? Actually the TV itself is fine, what is below par is the info in the Hotel Info folder ? none! If you are an English speaker note you can change the broadcast language of many shows / channels. E.g. If you are watching an old episode of ?Mysteries of Laura? or the Euronews channel then press Options, language audio, then select Other instead of French. Mondays ? different atmosphere in the hotel on a Monday, from breakfast to housekeeping. We had a terrible experience the Monday we stayed. We arrived back at 4pm, after having a great day out in temperatures of 30+ degrees to find our room had not been serviced. This could have been easily sorted, just by supplying fresh towels, instead reception queried if we had left the no service sign on the door, spoke to housekeeping (who said staff absence meant floor 1 had not been done yet). We were then asked if we had anywhere we could go. I should have said no, but felt we were being given no option. My suggestion for improvement would be for reception staff to say ?I can fix this for you. What would you like me to do?? A few towels later the guest would be happy, and this would have been a glowing review. Disappointing , as this hotel is great, just not reaching its full potential.

    « Amazing place! »

Took me short notice, as I changed hotels. Very clean, friendly staff, great breakfast & has AC. Has a modern fitness room and a restaurant next door. The staff can speak English and it is pet friendly. The breakfast is amazing lots of choice from breads, cheeses, fruit, French toast to personalized omelets. Decor is new and modern but with accents of orange everywhere. Shower is modern and amazing.

    « a pleasant come-back »

    we stopped over in this hotel for the second time and had again a pleasant overall experience ; easy to book and find (just outside the motorway) , safe parking , friendly and helpful staff at the reception, large and very clean rooms; comfortable beds an good sleep quality . Since we left early cannot comment on breakfast; the evening before we had a good steak and a great local beer at reasonable price in the restaurant adjacent to the hotel ;

    « Perfect for stopover »

British motorcyclists x 4. Stayed one night on route to the Black Forest. Excellent room, meals and service. Breakfast especially good. Only ended up here due to fuel shortage, at the time, in France. However will use again on future excursions.

    « Great stay »

We stayed for one night and can only agree with all the previous good comments, staff were very good and the dog was welcome can not fault the place. Nice comfortable bed clean ground floor room with laminate floor that suited the dog and made life a lot easier. Within a few minutes is the excellent paths alongside the canal if like me you like a good walk before breakfast or some where to run it is perfectly placed.

    « Great new brand »

Presume this is Best Western new brand, and if so they have got it dead right. Great rooms with contemporary decor & finishes and really superb breakfast & service. Service at adjacent restaurant could be improved as doesnt match hotel slick service. Look forward to seeing more of these hotels as great value.

« Great starting point to visit Belgian world heritage in engineering »

Ever seen a boat climb a hill? Go to Belgium. In the province of Hainaut there are lifts and an inclined plane that make this possible. Great engineering achievements that are on UNESCO's World heritage list! The Best Western Plus Orange hotel is an excellent starting point, only three kilometres away from the closest lift. Modern, comfortable rooms; very friendly staff; extremely good breakfast; bikes for hire and a very good 'grillade' next door. Although Best Western often is more business oriented, esp. in its motorway hotels, this one was very pleasant for a weekend stay for our family with two teenagers.

« A welcome break en route and great comfort »

Yes, it's really quite orange! A good budget brand with spacious rooms, modern minimalist decor and excellent fittings, a huge bed and TV, and (much appreciated) a kettle, tea/coffee. Bathroom excellent. All very clean. Despite being near the motorway, it was very quiet. We had an early start and so didn't take breakfast but it smelt good as we left, warm bread, good coffee... There was a bar too, so all round a good place to come back to. The staff were very pleasant and helpful, booking a table for us at the next-door restaurant 'La Planche' - glad they did as it was heaving with big family groups as well as couples. Good food too...

« One night stay on route to Austria »

A really convenient hotel for an overnight stop. Has a good secure car park and is only a couple of minutes off the motorway. The rooms are a bit wacky but really nice. The restaurant is really good apart from the crazy prices for the starters. All around 20 Euros. A bit high in my view for a steak house. The mains are the sort of price you would expect (20 to 30 Euros), the house wine brilliant value at 15 Euros. The breakfast is brilliant. definately worth having.

« Clean, modern interiour, reasonable pricing »

This hotel surprised me. Thought it was a budget hotel with ordinary standard. However, it has a very modern interiour and very nice rooms. For being a budget hotel close to the highway it is definatelly a good choice. The staff is very friendly, especially when considering that this is in the French speaking part of Belgium. The room was nice and clean. A very nice breakfast buffet where 2 nice girls takes good care of you, and even makes hot breakfast for you. Recommended!

« Welcoming, affordable, clean and very good hotel »

I've worked now for several years in this area and I have seen every hotel around. Orange Hotel got the one which I most prefer. A bit outside of Mons but with a good connection, a good restaurant nearby (La Plancha) and very clean, quit and cozy rooms with nice rain showers. The best of all is the very welcoming and professional staff which really cares about you.I never ever got a bad experience there. Additionally you get a fast and free wifi connection.

« Great place to stay! Great staff! »

We stayed at this hotel for one night. Being a history enthusiast, I was looking for the site of the Battle of Malplaquet that occurred near here in 1709, but the location has been long forgotten by most. Everything about this hotel was excellent, the bed, the shower, the breakfast but most remarkable was the staff, especially the young lady at the registration desk, Virginia. She had never heard of Malplaquet but she promised to research it in some French sources. By morning she had the location of the battle and a map to get there. You just can't find service like that in most places.

    « Excellent Hotel »

Stayed her for 2 nights and it was brilliant. Great rooms, clean with nice shower room. The staff were amazing and were very welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was great with plenty to choose from. Highly recommended.

« Best value of money »

This hotel is all what you expect from a hotel: good rest, good shower and good breakfast. Along with a very brand new installations, very good quality of material, very fast internet access. And last but not least, very kind staff. And everything at a very reasonable price. Honestly, an incredible discovery in the middle of Belgium.

    « Excellent »

I slept here more than 50 times over a period of one year and I have not had one bad experience. The staff is really friendly and helpful. The rooms have a lot of space, the internet is fast and the breakfast is good value for their price. Everything is always clean. One of the best hotels in this region for sure! There is restaurant just outside the hotel 'La Planche', which offers great food and Belgian beers. The location is close to the E19 Brussels - Mons which is good if you're travelling.

    « Excellent hotel »

Modern and clean hotel. Easy to find off thee E42. Clean and modern rooms well designed with the standards mod cons. welcoming staff and free wifi a must for the modern day traveller. The bed were a bit in the hard side, but overall great value for money and comfort.

    « Value for money »

Stayed for 3 nights. Room was fantastic. Fully equipped with many amenities and a refrigerator too. Breakfast was too expensive (12 euros per day per person) but you can choose a room with a refrigerator which you can properly equip. Staff was more than helful and polite. Highly recommended.
