Resumen de la reserva
5 stars for sure, the room was clean. Everybody has been so kind and helpful. We were trying to figure out where to leave our car while going on a cruise and they had parking at the hotel, and it was a lot cheaper than anywhere else. And they even called a cab for us. Best experience. Thank you all.
No airport shuttle! I even put in the reservation notes that I needed an airport shuttle. If I saw that come in, I would call the client to let them know it is not longer available. The room had two places it was visibly dirty. I did not notice until the morning. Too gross to post the photos. The staff was very nice and I don't like to leave bad reviews. My uber driver told me to stay at the Hilton next time as the do have a working airport shuttle.
The room was fairly clean. Check-in was friendly but a bit disorganized. Room was quiet. The website mentions shuttle service to the airport but they admits the site hasn't been updated and there is no shuttle service. Breakfast is available but we left early in the morning to try it.
Don't stay here! I stayed a night at the hotel on 10/19/24 because of its proximity to the car rental center at New Orleans airport even if the price was not a reasonable as others. It was a mistake that I hope others do not make. I arrived after midnight, exhausted after a long day and needed a few hours of rest before heading to the airport around 3:30am. The hotel clerk assigned a room on the first floor. I attempted to get in bed and turned back the covers and discovered some insect on the pillow. I went to the night clerk and she followed me to the room and said that it was a spider. She offered me another room, however that insect in the bed remained at the forefront. I could not really leave since it was within the time period for no refund. I decided to get the bath towels and cover the bed topping. As you can imagine, my ability to sleep was limited due to the reminder of the insect in bed. I spoke with the manager the second day after the stay and he seemed to be bothered that I called about it. And after explaining, he indicated to me that it happens, and that he had called the sprayer to come and spray. He said it was a spider and it happens and that they provided me with another room and that erased any negatives. I would not advise you to stay here and if you do, check the room out thoroughly before committing to the stay.
Awful place to stay. The room smelled of over scented perfume as if to mask an odour. The sheets were questionable. They almost looked like they hadn't been washed. The room was unclean. A half opened bottle of water sat next to the microwave and the room just felt and looked dirty. We couldn't wait to get out of there the next morning. Breakfast was even worse but I guess that's what you get for a complimentary. The breakfast patties were cold and stale. I would never recommend anyone stay there considering there are so many better options near the airport.
Horrible Worst Stay Ever!!!! There is a gentleman who family owns the hotel cussed me out yelled at me called me Stupid was very racist and discriminatory to me threatened to call the cops on me and I literally did nothing to this man. I cannot stress enough. I literally did nothing and I know if I had treated him the way that he treated me that I would have been kicked out or arrested. His behavior is very unacceptable and he should not be working in customer service very bad attitude. There is no way that this gentleman should have ever addressed me or said anything to me. He was very very, very, very very unprofessional. This is by far the worst hotel stay I have ever had. Worst hotel ever and I will never stay at this location ever again, please do better in the future and maybe don't let people just because they are your family feel that they are entitled to say whatever do whatever to the guest cause I didn't do anything to this man can't stress it enough
Terrible front desk service at midday as a paying customer not want to be a repeating guest at 189 airline Kenner LA she went back of the surf Lobby to call corporate on us because she did not want to give her name to us that's when she told us but we do not think that she did call called yet she still never gave us her name Please let me know if y'all had an experience like we've been having with the girl with no name tag had front lobby checking midday thank you
HEALTH ALERT! ROACH MOTEL! ROACHES GALORE! WE KILLED AT LEAST 4 AND SAW AT LEAST 7 MORE!!!!!!!! WE STOPPED COUNTING AFTER THAT. DO NOT STAY OR BOOK THROUGH ANY 3RD PARTY! ORIGINALLY GOT SCAMMED BY "RESERVATION COUNTER" INTO THINKING WE WERE BOOKING DIRECTLY WITH ROACH BEST WESTERN. WHEN WE GOT THERE, ROACH BEST WESTERN WANTED OUR CARD AGAIN AND DID NOT GIVE DISCOUNT DUE. TOLD US TO TAKE IT UP WITH "RESERVATION COUNTER".
The staff are very friendly and willing to help at anytime. The rooms are very clean and well keep. The breakfast was very nice
Some don't want to stay by the airport, but it wasn't a bad drive into New Orleans at all. We did have one issue with towels not being sufficient, but that was remedied immediately. Didn't care for eggs to always include cheese, but breakfast was as expected otherwise. And the AC made a weird noise that sounded like a door opening, so that was a bit disturbing. But I felt safe, there were no odors or bugs. The room was as expected and staff was friendly accommodating.
Quiet cleam and comfortable room. The room is large everything works very well in! Quiet air conditionning system. Comfortable ben. Good cofee for breakfast. This hotel is very well management and quiet. I'm very satisfied.
On a recent business trip, I chose the Best Western Plus New Orleans Airport Hotel based on its high rating and its proximity to the airport. Unfortunately, I was significantly delayed due to a major disruption in my chain of incoming flights. Kudos to the hotel Manager for being flexible regarding my booking, giving me one less hassle.
We were here to catch an early morning flight the next day. We checked in, went out to eat, came back and went to bed. We didn't use the shower, internet or breakfast so we cannot comment. The check in was good, the room was clean and the bed was comfortable.
We stayed one night. Booked the shuttle to airport terminal for 7 people at the time of check in for next day early morning. Everything with the hotel was an "OKAY" at best. Walls were hollow, heard everything the neighbouring guest had to say. The evening staff was helpful and that was good. Pros - the day and evening staff helpful and informative. Check-in smooth. Cons - thin walls, no daily housekeeping services, only on request. Now here's where the problem really took place. The morning of check-out the male staff was down right rude. Not accommodating at all. He made us feel like we were a complete inconvenience. Shuttle was booked during check-in process and we were told we will be taken straight to the terminal. This guy told us the shuttle only took us as far at the rental car bus terminal, that's it and pointed to a sign and said "read this". Told, if you don't have it booked in advance there is no shuttle. I said we do for 7 people and he snarled at me and said no, only 4. The number was clarified and he was not happy about that, as I was correct. He brought a van to the front entrance and then sat back behind the desk. I approached the desk and said we are ready to go, he proceeded to tell me to go load our own luggage and when that's done, he'll take us. The drive was very unsafe, fast accelerations, fast stops, did an illegal u-turn instead of waiting for a signal light with the proper left turn lane to the car rental location. This guy was just plain unsafe, and we had 3 scared kids after that. Glad the trip was short. Read reviews after the fact, only to find out he lied to us. Apparently Tina, another staff confirms the shuttle takes people right to the terminal. See attached pic. Lesson, read a lot of reviews before booking this place!
We stayed when checking out new Orleans. It is close to the airport which is great if your flying in or our and it was in an industrial area so really quiet at night. The hotel was clean and the staff was very nice. They have 2 waffle makers! It is a bit of a drive to get down to the downtown but if you have a car its a great way to save on a trip to New Orleans
The room looked right into a truck depot. Located on a street with not a lot of options. If you have the opportunity to drive around and find a hotel do that, if you need something close to the airport that's cheap and uncomfortable do this. Sure it could be worse but at the price, it Should be better.
Front Desk Manager was very sweet and very understanding, gave us all of our needs and everything that was asked/stated was given. We asked for towels, water, pillows, and a new iron. All was given within a matter of moments.
Worse hotel to stay. The manager behind the desk was very rude and even threaten a young man that only ask for towels. They gave us an unclean room with sheets on the floor and all of the dresser was open. Had sex stains on the sheets. I have photos of the room but can not load them. trust don't waste your time. Horrible stay.
Stayed overnight after a canceled flight out of MSY. An average hotel. However I did not realize that this place was 8 miles from the airport. Also I was lied about the airport having a shuttle service. They dint have an airport shuttle.
I booked this room for a quick stay after a 10 hour flight. The room was not clean. It looked like it had not been cleaned in months or ever!! Tt was very dusty and not sanitized. I would not recommend.
The hotel was ok - nothing fancy and nothing to scream about. Not premium cleanliness (streaks on mirrors, hair on floor in bathroom for instance) but acceptable. However, I picked this for convenience and it was everything but convenient. I wanted to be close to the airport so that I could quickly drop my bag off on my way to a concert, and then be off to the airport with no hassle first thing in the morning. Well, this is not how it goes. It takes 10-15 min by car to get from the airport to the hotel. It is not a quick trip. You would be almost in New Orleans had you headed in that direction. They have no shuttle (oh yes - to and from the rental car center, where, wait - you just got a car and need no shuttle). The hotel is in the middle of nowhere and therefore, your ride will actually come from the airport so count 15 min minimum before anyone gets there. I waited up to 30 min for a car. Or you have to book in advance. The result is very hefty rides costs and very long wait times. If you're looking for convenience, save yourself the hassle and book a hotel half way to the city alongside the I-10. You might get more traffic maybe, maybe, but the shortest rides into and from town and higher drivers availability will more than make up for it.
if you are looking for a hotel in the general greater new orleans area you can nit beat tge price and great quality of tge room. The only problem is tgat it is out by the airport but that was not a problem for us to visit friends in New Orleans. Great staff, clean and quite rooms
The front desk staff was less than courteous and the treatment was as if I was a burden to be staying there. When asked for a specific emergency item from the front desk I was responded with disrespect (they had the item but acted as though my request was unreasonable). With no shuttle service available I requested a cab and the front desk clerk not only was clearly annoyed but also zero help. The cab company suggested was absolutely disgraceful. I would be shocked if the car was even road worthy. The room was clean and comfortable but the lack of service was deplorable.
After waiting 8 hours for a flight that was eventually cancelled we were told this was the only option to use our voucher. Had I known better I would have gladly paid for a decent hotel. The first “suite” had no working TV and biting ants so we had to be moved. The complimentary breakfast was limited at best, I can live with that. At 11:15 the day manager (old nasty long haired man) came pounding on the door yelling at us. He said it was 15 min past check out time. I apologized and told him I thought check out was noon . He continued to yell at us and gave us 5 Milton GET OUT! What a JERK!!!! Wow, I have never met a more rude and unfriendly hotel worker EVER!!! I will NEVER visit. Best (Worse) Western again. So much for customer service or empathy.
I found this moderately priced hotel near the airport with shuttle service, and definitely got what I paid for. My room was clean and comfortable, and the lady that checked me in was very pleasant and accommodating. I met up with some of my friends who were staying at the same hotel. The next morning, one of my friends knocked on my door and asked me if I had any extra towels. She had contacted the front desk, and they would not give her any more (there were three people staying in her room). Of course, I gave her my extras, but it left a bad taste in my mouth that the front desk agent had not helped her! Breakfast was okay, but I was disappointed that there were no condiments available for my eggs, such as picante sauce or hot sauce. Also, no oatmeal. Overall, a good stay with a clean room and comfortable bed.
Because of a medical issue I was not able to go to New Orleans. 28 days.before my stay I had to cancel. All the other area hotels graciously refunded my except for this one. I will never give them my business or refer them in any way except negatively.
I made a reservation at this hotel through Hotels.Com not realizing that I could not cancel. My reservation is for the end of this month. A week ago I started trying to cancel because of a medical issue (28 days before I was to get there). Out of 3 hotels in the New Orleans area that I have/had reservations with this is the only one that would not refund. I will definitely keep best western in mind as a place not to stay in the future
This hotel was calling it in and still pricey. Checkout is at 11:00 am. Late checkout is $50 and it only goes until 1:00 pm. They don't hold luggage so you could go into town during a long layover. Even a nice hotel on Canal street did that during a previous visit to this city. There's no shuttles to the airport, only shuttles to a rental car place that does its own shuttle. The free breakfast didn't have forks. I went twice to reception to try and ask for them, but no one was there both times. I really like New Orleans, but would never stay here again.
bad bad bad, worst BW ever; wanted $50 for early check in. As few towels in room as possible; like one bath, one hand, one face cloth. This place "gouged" my in March; over $300 for one night?? will NEVER stay there again. Many other hotels nearby.
I called from the airport for shuttle service and was told they don't have it today. Therefore, I downloaded Uber while standing at the airport with my bags and paid $23.00 to get to the hotel. I get to the check in desk and over hear a call where they are sending a shuttle to do a pick up. So my stay has already started off badly. I literally called at 2 pm and got to the hotel at 2:35. How did we go from no shuttle service to we have shuttle service.
We booked a room for a single night at this hotel since we had to catch an early flight the following morning. Our expectations were modest - all we expected was a clean, comfortable room. After checking in at the front desk we were directed to the third floor, which apparently was under renovation. We weren't thrilled about that and wondered why they didn't just closed the floor to bookings, but since we just wanted to go to sleep we didn't dwell on it. At first glance our room looked OK, nothing special. Being that this was New Orleans in June and the AC was completely shut off, it was hot as Hades in the room. We completely understand that you don't want to waste electricity on an empty room, but it would have been nice if they had set the temperature to, say 70 or 72 degrees when check-in time rolls around to help cool it a little. We were too exhausted to scrutinize our room and just wanted to get some sleep, but we gradually noticed debris on the floor, crumbs next to the microwave (we never opened it), some sort of powder on the bathroom vanity, etc. I was grossed out by the floor at this point and didn't want to step on it with my bare feet. We took a leap of faith that the bed had been made with clean sheets, but in retrospect I wonder whether that was the case. We were just too exhausted to complain about this and request a new room, so we accepted the situation. We definitely did not get our money's worth out of this stay. Based on this experience Best Western won't be my first choice the next time I'm booking a hotel.
Adequate breakfast, clean downstairs area. Was going through renovation, which we didn't know in advance and the hallway on 2nd floor was dirty and dusty. Ac was noisy so you heard it every time it went on and off. Room walls are very thin, could hear the next room tv. Was not aware that there was a train track behind the hotel so you heard the train come thru early in the morning. Biggest disappointment was that the hotel didn't offer airport shuttle service but had a van and shuttle bus available. But offered cruise port service for a fee. Doesn't make sense with the airport being a few miles down the road. Probably will not stay here again since they do not offer shuttle and the train noise.
I realize things are tough after the pandemic. I know it's hard to get workers. But the experience was less than ideal. The room was fine. Breakfast was very sparse. The remodel did nothing to improve the experience. The price was a bit high considering all of this.
The hotel was under construction, was not notified. No carpet in hallway, construction equipment in dining area. Noisy construction workers early in the morning . Water pressure for shower very low. Dust in the air from construction. No attendant at front desk often.Poor lighting in lobby.
An emergency trip to NOLA. They were the only place with availability. Price was way more than I could afford, but I needed somewhere other than my car to sleep. Also, be aware that the train runs right behind the hotel. They are in the process of rehabbing so of the building. On the positive side, staff was very helpful and the room was clean.
no problems....need salt and pepper for breakfast eggs..........be glad when renovations are complete...close enough to airport but away enough not to hear air traffic...entry and exit to and from highway is convent.
Had 2 rooms reserved for September 11th, Hotel closed due to Hurricane Ida. Not only were my advance payments not refunded, in December they charged my credit card for the balance due on each room without my knowledge or consent. I emailed them over a week ago with no response.
Noisy. Train horn at 2:00 am. Broken windows. Choose between freezing or burning up. AC noisy and cycles all night long. Booked as a Diamond member meant nothing. Booked with two beds, only a king bed on site. No carpets in hallways. Small TV. No shuttle to airport - just to car rental terminal. The bed is about two feet away from AC.
This Best Western was affected by the hurricane in 2021 and is on the mend upwards. With that said, it was IMMACULATE and the staff was very friendly and helpful. We arrived in the early evening and the front desk clerk was so knowledgeable about local businesses that would deliver dinner. We ordered from a local family owned pizzeria and the food was OUTSTANDING!!! It felt great to contribute to the community as these business persevere through tough times with hope and their chins held high. We would stay there again without hesitation.
Front desk (Anica) was awesome and helped us with checking in. Check out we were being rushed by I believe the owner keys stopped working at 10:45 when check out is at 11, we could barley finish loading our bags in the car with two babies, you'd think they'd help us if they really wanted us out. And when I mentioned we needed to get back in to get the rest of our things, there was a slight attitude on his face. Bathroom wasn't clean thoroughly behind the toilet...as to why we decided to leave earlier than planned. That was enough to gross me out.
Good experience. Staff was friendly enough, nothing over the top. I had to ask for the express checkout option, which isn't the end of the world, but would be a nice touch to the overall check in experience.
To make a long story short this hotel is not clean! Came from Houston checked in 8-9 pm attendant at check in was not courteous, but short and seemed irritated. I had a double Queen room which had dirt/dust in every corner and crevice of room, there was hair in bathroom also in bed when I pulled covers back. I requested another room that housekeeping had cleaned today or yesterday. Apparently there was no chart or list with that info! Nice older Caucasian lady got master key for us to go thru and find a clean room. I was shocked. Covid 19 pandemic and extra precautions should be taken and followed especially cleaning a hotel room! That was not the case here. I don't even think they have housekeeping because the desk attendant was pushing a linen cart around. I guess the owners/mangers only care about $ not anybody's health. Do not stay here if you like cleanliness.
Tina, Frank and the young lady that works the evening behind the front desk ( I forget her name ) are such nice people. I used the shuttle service twice on my stay, it was a lifesaver ! Ofcourse there were some restrictions in the hotel because of Covid but the customer service was outstanding !!! Thank you all for your assistance !
Very rude front desk person. Website states that a Grab & Go breakfast will be provided with: Fruit Yogurt A breakfast bar A childrens' option A packaged or homemade breakfast sandwich, burrito or similar with egg, with or without a protein with protein and fruit. The only food items available were muffins, twinkies and yoghurt. When I asked about the breakfast, was told "we just have what you see there, nothing else" I mentioned that the website says that fruit and some sort of protein would be available, and just received the same response.
Got a reservation last minute and turned out to be the best! Staff was so nice and helpful. Super accommodating to our needs. Room was clean and cozy! The only downside was that they drop off at the car rental place rather than the terminal, but they knew exactly when we needed to leave to make our flight on time. Worked out perfectly!
We got in late showered and went to bed! We got up 4 hours later and I took my husband to the airport. I went back and slept until the Housekeepers started cleaning rooms very loudly! Checkout isn't until 11 right?
I chose the Best Western Plus New Orleans Airport Hotel as it was close to the airport and I wanted to use Best Western brand. I participated in Best Western's promotion which was stay twice and earn a free night voucher. I was in New Orleans for a layover to catch a flight for the next day. The staff member at check in for my room was nice and offered me a downstairs room which was great. Raquel at the front desk that checked me out in the morning is friendly and professional. I want to come back to New Orleans to explore the area better and patronize this hotel again. I highly recommend this hotel.
Great price with clean comfortable rooms. It is fairly new and close to the airport, Only thing is, call for reservations, made mine online and cost me an extra day. Folks at the desk and all the staff are great, and helpful . I will be a regular here at this hotel
This is a decent place to stay when you're in the area. The managers are really nice. The lady answered any and all questions i had, even when i was checking in at 2am. They provided me with diabetic choices for breakfast, and I greatly appreciated it. The manager went out of her way to even help me bring the drinks to my room, when my hands were full. This is a big deal to me because i know it was close to time for her to get off. (Guys you know how now-a-days people will ignore you when their shift is almost over. I was blown away.)I knew it was close to time for her to go because that's how much we talked at 2am the night before. She's just uber personable. Loved it! ;). The beds seemed to maybe have a comfy foam layer that my body sunk into. The pillows were fairly soft and comfy as well. My kids gave it the ‘ok' as well. When needed, i will visit here again.
great location to New Orleans, Houma, Destrahan and other areas. Very very clean rooms, bathrooms and even closets. Nice staff that cares about your stay. Building is clean in all areas. Breakfast area is clean.
Best Western Plus New Orleans Airport continues to exceed my expectations, from the welcoming and helpful staff to the clean, comfortable rooms. The location of the hotel is convenient to I-10, Airline Highway and the airport. There is plenty of parking available.
We had to wait to check in because only 1 person works at a time and the desk clerk was picking people up from another location. When he showed up, he explained and mentioned they were one of the last hotels that are still doing shuttles to the airport (which is why I booked here). The room was clean, however, my son's shower was filled with someone else's hair. My room was near the elevator, as I requested, so that was a plus. The following morning, another person was behind the desk and she explained that they only go as far as the bus station with a parking garage and not the actual airport. They couldn't drive us directly to a door, and dropped us off literally in a parking garage that we had to walk close to a mile to get to their door. I couldn't walk that far, so my son went & got someone. They were good enough to bring a wheelchair for me. Had this hotel mentioned this earlier, I would not have booked here. Other than that, it was just okay.
short on staff. Room looked ok but floor hadn't been vacuumed in quite a while, including the hallway, water was only warm on last nite and morning. Room was never cleaned while we were there(3 nites). Toilet seat hinge was broken on 1 side...reported not fixed. Managment knew of problems but only gave excuses and took our trash and gave us clean towels. Feel like refund of part is in line...never offered.
I would like to share my experience in the dealings with one of your General Managers (Khaliq) at The Best Western Plus New Orleans Airport. This was the worst and most unprofessional service I have ever experienced with any hotel staff member-- and this came directly from their General Manager and staff. I booked my reservation for an Airport Shuttle to be picked up and dropped off at the airport during my requested time. I arrived at the property running a little late, so I was anxious to be dropped off at the airport. Upon arrival I was greeted by a front desk agent (Tina) who had me fill out the basic paperwork, then gave me a tag to put on my dashboard. As I exited the property to my car, I ran into a gentleman (who happened to be the GM, Khaliq) and asked him if he was the airport shuttle driver. He mumbled a few words about a rental car center, but I rushed off to my car since I was already late. As I returned back to the lobby, I began to register what he said that I would not be dropped off at the airport, but I was to be dropped off at the rental car center. This is not what I paid for and this should have been disclosed prior to the signing of documents. When I questioned the General Manager, Khaliq, of why I was not going to be dropped off at the airport, he immediately got defensive and told me that if I didn't like it then I could get my money back. I told him that it is a valid question because I paid for services that are not being rendered. He proceeded to get an attitude and speak very rudely. We exchanged words, but his rude response was ... nobody wants to work so we can't take you, take it or leave it. As I said, I was running late. I could not afford to drive my car to another parking venue and miss my flight. I proceeded with the trip and told Lake that I will be contacting his superiors for his rude and unprofessional demeanor. His associate apologized on his behalf and said he was under stress. I was dropped off at the rental car center where I had to walk across the car drop off lot to the other side to catch a 15 minute shuttle to the airport. This is not appropriate if I am paying my money. The driver, Tina, told me that when I return, they should have a drive. Upon my return, I called the number as instructed and was told to catch the shuttle to the rental car center. When I questioned her this time, Tina responded with a "It's a free shuttle," which I then replied "My time isn't free and this is a huge inconvenience" The experience was terrible. I have worked for Hyatt's across the country and have never experienced such disrespect. I will never recommend nor stay at this property, even for parking services. If a business cannot provide SHUTTLE SERVICES TO AIRPORT, they should not advertise that they are able to do so and take money from hardworking individuals. They should also be mindful that everyone is in stressed out positions at this time and to be courteous to those who are patronizing their business. I hope that there is a follow up with this properties ownership group, General Manager and team.
The staff and management were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff was well trained and was able to assist if ask. I was here for ten days and I would definitely stay here again.
We did park and fly. The employee was rude. When we arrived we asked to be shuttle . He then said ok. He came back and said the driver called in. Then he said he could bring us to the airport if we wanted to wait 15 min. We waited. He then said he has a flat tire. He would bring us. He brought us to the shuttle. This all took 45 min. Upon returned we called 20 times to get a shuttle to return to our vehicle. It just rang and rang or disconnected after a period of time of holding on. It took 1hr and 42 min to return from the airport to our vehicle . We were told the driver came or they will be there in a few minutes. We were picked up by the Comfort Inn suites. We were told the driver called in. NEVER AGAIN.... We should be reimbursed for the dishonest representation of this hotel.
The morning staff at the hotel was very rude to my daughter. Raquel at the front desk gave my daughter a ticket to put in her car to leave it there during here flight after the night's stay. Apparently, Raquel was not suppose to give her the ticket at that time. Raquel along with the other front desk associate were very rude to my daughter when asking for it back after the other front desk associate told her she did not follow directions. It was NOT my daughter's fault, but Raquel blamed her for it with her rudeness to her. She was also rude to me when I called back to the hotel. The night before I had set up everything with Sid (which was such an awesome guy), so I do not understand the confusion of Raquel.
Front desk very accommodating. Raquel, League, and Sid went out of their way to help with our room when our Marine Daughters plans were affected by the coronavirus. They worked hard to make sure we were able to get a room to accommodate all of us.
Stayed there 2x in 10 days before & after cruise. Was exceedingly satisfied with the room which was clean, modern; the friendly & helpful employees - including at the desk & shuttle driver to port; and really nice hot bkfst. We used their shuttle to & from airport 4 times & their shuttle to port. Room rate was quite reasonable. I would stay there again and recommend it to others. One of the nicer places I've stayed. No negatives for us either night.
Very convenient for any early flight out of MSY. Quite new hotel - beds were very good and room was nice with microwave and frig. Very nice staff. Would definitely stay again when in New Orleans. Nice place!
Customer service is awful. They screamed at me and my boyfriend after we asked for a refund. They are rude and RACIST. They also do not provide reliable or safe shuffle services to the airport. Do not waste your money or time.
I only stayed one night, but was comfortable. The entire place including my room was immaculately clean, check-in was quick and easy with a friendly staff. The free breakfast was self serve, but everything was fresh and very good. Free shuttle to and from the airport is a benefit too.
We finished up or 10 day New Orleans/Cruise vacation at the Best Western. Right away we had high praise for this hotel. For an airport location, this hotel was clean, modern, simply well maintained. The desk staff were super efficient and very friendly. We were in our rooms within 10 minutes of check in. The rooms were very spacious and comfortable. A con would be the location of the HVAC unit which would blow on the person in bed next to it, it was difficult to adjust so we just shut it off. The bathrooms are good sized with plenty of lighting and amenities. A huge highlight was the offering by the staff of a ride to/from the local Voodoo BBQ restaurant. It was only a couple blocks away but with my elderly parents with us, we were going to just utilize a rideshare. NO NEED! The manager quickly offered up a ride and the sweetest lady dropped us off and within 5 minutes of us calling for a pick up, there she was. Fantastic and friendly service! Unfortunately, we did not have that sweet lady for our airport shuttle driver the next morning. A different lady, she was overly rude to the group of us that arrived in the lobby for the 5AM shuttle. Did not help any of the (mostly) elderly guests with their luggage and announced a curt "if you're coming, get your bags in, if not, I'm pulling out" Needless to say it was only 450am, 10 minutes before our scheduled time. It kind of tarnished our experience here.
Exceptionally clean. Updated room, awesome tv, lots of light, a comfy chair, no bugs. What more can you ask for? The lady at the check-in was super friendly, too, which was nice after my harrowing drive thru New Orleans in the dark...haha. She was really great. Great stay, I'll keep it in mind if I make it back to New Orleans again.
This hotel is very near the airport. It was very quiet and very clean. The staff, especially the manager, were all friendly and helpful. We got into town early and they were able to check us in early. Breakfast was good. I would have liked to see a few more options. Very nice hotel for a good price. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the area. Not a long drive to the city.
Comfortable and clean hotel, nearby the airport . Fun Mardi Gras decorations in the lobby in the spirit of the area! Comfortable room, had a nice chair to relax in and the bed was comfy. nice to have pillow choices too
The hotel was what was expected for an airport hotel. The unusual thing was the quiet. I have never had a peaceful sleep near an airport. Very convenient to the rental car return. One block away to Voodoo BBQ which was great for a quick meal.
We had a great stay at the best western plus New Orleans airport. Rooms was clean and spacious and close to the airport. The breakfast was very good and starts at 6. Sid is the true MVP our shuttle driver wasn't able to make it so he picked us up at the airport and then checked us in! He also recommended Destrehan plantation and Haydel's Bakery for the king cake. Both excellent choices! Great place to stay and not noisy at all. Very friendly staff.
We had a wonderful visit at this hotel . From the moment I called for the shuttle , to check in, to check out it was perfect ! I have to give a big shout out to Tina was especially helpful !! We had a little issue with tv & she came right up & fixed it !! Thank you for a perfect visit !!
Best Western Plus New Orleans Airport in Kenner, Louisiana is the perfect place to stay when traveling! When we travel we always choose this hotel because it's conveniently located next to the airport and the hotel has excellent shuttle service. The breakfast is always very delicious and so much to choose from! The hotel is always clean and decorated beautifully for each season. The rooms are very large and clean and I love a large room! The internet service is great so therefore no in and out service. I have always been greeted with a warm smile by the staff at this location and that is very nice!!!
My husband and I prior to trip went down and visited. When we arrived we parked the bus and staff welcomed my crew. Met the owner at checkout and they were very nice as well. We all share cake it was a pleasant experience. Not one in my party had complaints. We will be back. The Burketts
Hotel was nice; the front desk staff need a little reminder to smile, say welcome and on generally being nice to guest. This was my husband, son & myself for one night stay to catch a flight back home. Hotel is nice; it looks a bit dated. Not many amenities and next to an 18 wheeler parking lot. We got a good nights stay before our flight. Free shuttle to airport. About 10 minutes to get the entrance of the new airport in NOLA.
The hotel deserves three stars but I rate it this way not to overinflate the ratings. Room clean. Service was fine. Breakfast was basic. I was not a fan of their coffee. Their biggest challenge is the airport entrance is now more distant. Nothing in the immediate area of interest beyond the airport. But it is economical, comfortable, and the staff was nice to us.
I always look forward to coming back to the Best Western Plus in Kenner La. The Management Team, and staff seem to remember me from each day. The rooms are super clean and comfortable. The shower is really nice with strong water force.
We were here 1 night for early am flight to Florida. Was very nice, Easy to get to airport. We signed up for the shuttle the night before & the guy left early with no checking on us. We were in the elevator! Then no one to man the front desk & we needed a ride asap. The driver was the only one at the front desk. Finally he gave us a ride & left the desk for the 5 minutes to drop us at the airport. We were so worried about missing our flight!! Breakfast didn't happen but got coffee & fruit. No Splenda or Stevia for sweetener options. No one drinks aspartamine anymore! The issues at front desk may be a reason for me to stay elsewhere next time.
I had a very different experience than all these reviews. I stayed one night because my flight was canceled. Staff was surly, and the room was not comfortable. I could feel the bed springs and the pillows were all oddly small. The wall was so thin I could hear the person next door cough even with ear plugs in. There was also visible dust behind the TV and on bedside tables. I would not go back.
This hotel was very convenient to the airport. The staff was very friendly & helpful. The breakfast was great & yummy! The bed & pillows were very comfortable! The hotel & rooms were very clean. I definitely recommend this hotel!
The New Orleans airport has moved making this hotel a little less convenient than it used to be, however, there is free shuttle service. Ample free parking and the free breakfast is good...more than just sweet rolls, waffles, and cold serials.
Stayed one night on our way to Hattiesburg. Late flight coming in so we wanted close to airport. Checking in the front Desk lady is out front of the lobby smoking . She follows us in to check us in. Nice lady but doesn't look good for her to be outside the front smoking every 15 minutes. Room was ok. Air conditioner blows directly on the person who sleeps on that side of the bed. Bed only has a sheet and thin blanket. Not comfortable. Breakfast area could be cleaner. Would not stay here again.
Stayed one evening pre Thanksgiving day cruise. Overall good solid hotel choice. Airport shuttle from airport was friendly and very helpful with area suggestions. Do keep in mind shuttle only runs once per hour so wait time at airport will depend on this. We waited about 25 minutes. Front desk was exceptional. Very helpful when calling for shuttle pickup and had our room key waiting when we walked in the door only took 2 minutes to check in, just signed paperwork and done. Very much appreciated considering our late arrival time. Room was spacious with King bed, desk area, lounge chair, microwave, mini fridge, and coffee service area. Overall well maintained and clean. One comment is that carpets could be cleaned more frequently. This is a pet peeve of mine. After walking around for 10 minutes or so my bare feet were dirty. Breakfast area was nice with a decent selection. Cereals, breads and pastries, hot eggs with cheese and sausage, make your own waffles, yogurts, fruits, and instant oatmeal. We were the only ones there probably because it is Thanksgiving day so can't speak to how well they keep it stocked when busy. Overall this is a good solid hotel and I would stay here again. Not a five star resort but for being a midrange hotel they do a very good job.
The best service we got on our trip. We returned the rental car and were picked up by a car from the hotel. We were driven to a resturant and picked up after a good meal. The hotel also drove us to the airport when we left. We travel a lot, this is the best service we have ever experiansed.
Upon checking in at the front desk Nov. 8 at 6:30pm, we had a very unhappy front desk clerk wait on us. She threw the parking form at me, for not filling it out properly. I then, changed the checkin time to the time the reservation was made, not the REAL time we started the rental. The room was clean, but VERY NOISY, AS we were placed directly over the front entrance door, and listened to the electric doors open and close all night long. Good Shuttle service. The 5:00am leaves at 4:45, just an FYI
Hotel was about 15 minutes from the airport and had complimentary shuttle. Hotel was clean, service was OK but no better then ok. Not once did front desk or shuttle drive greet you, say thank you smile or offer anything more then you asked for. Just seemed like all the employees felt you were a bother to them. I watched as others came in and it was the same for all. I might note that it wasn't because they were busy. Nothing near the hotel to walk to as far as restaurants go. There are other hotels close to the airport. Might want to give them a try.
I really enjoyed my stay, the staff went out of there way to help me feel right at home. I didn't experience any problems. I would recommend this location for any travellers who arrive from the airport or local business ventures.
This hotel is very close to the new airport, and free hourly shuttle is provided!!!!! Shuttle service at a reasonable fee was also provided to the cruise terminal and other tourist points in the center of New Orleans
I highly recommend you do NOT stay at this property. As a Diamond Select member, this was absolutely the worst Best Western property I have ever stayed in. Tina checked me in and was friendly, but it went downhill from there. As soon as I walked in, I noticed the room hadn't been cleaned at all. It appeared the beds had been made, towels replaced, and that was it. There was a huge stain on the pillow, and there was no way that it could have been overlooked over by the housekeeper, or an executive housekeeper if one even works here. Once I pulled back the sheets, they were very wrinkled with hair and food crumbs/particles. Bathroom wasn't cleaned throughly as well. I spoke with the front desk within minutes of checking in. The property was near sold out that evening, and they had no rooms of the same type available. Since I had another room, we all ended up sleeping in that room. The next morning, I was told there was an emergency with the housekeeper that day, and they weren't sure what rooms she had cleaned already. (Basically they were in a rush since the hotel was sold out the next night, so they just made up the beds with dirty sheets is what he was really trying to say). I was assured a manager would contact me to discuss a refund. Two weeks have since passed, I have called everyday asking for a manager, only to be told every time he's unavailable. I have also contacted Best Western Corporate, but they do not have the authorization to do refunds. Management of this hotel might even be worse then the cleanliness. Do yourself a favor and stay at the Holiday Inn Airport North instead.
Close to airport and only about 10 to 15 minutes to downtown NOLA. Clean, safe, and quiet. Breakfast choices are good. This is our "go to" hotel. They offer airport shuttles and transportation to the cruise terminal.
On a recent trip to New Orleans we ended up deciding to stay at this best western. It is located just a few minutes drive from Louis Armstrong New Orleans international airport in Jefferson Parish and they even offer a free airport shuttle service. Upon driving up to the property it looked nice and was set back from the street with a large dirt lot in the front. Right away we did run into an issue though and that was trying to find a place to park our car. The parking lot was not too big and every spot but one was filled, we almost parked in the dirt lot but weren't sure if it was part of the hotel. Upon entering the lobby we found out why the lot was so full, they offer a stay, park and fly deal for you to park your car while on a trip....it's a cool idea but the size of the parking lot doesn't work well with that. Checkin was easy and the lobby was nice. Once we got to our room we agreed that they place was nice, it was just a basic bw plus room. Upon closer looking we found that the room hadn't been cleaned too well, not like there were stains or anything anywhere but there was trash behind the little bench and some left behind items in the small refrigerator. It just showed that they hadn't been paying close attention. The bathroom was clean for the most part from what I can remember. The next morning we were going to eat the free breakfast that was in the lobby but woke up too late so not sure how that was. Also there was a small pool that looked nice. Overall this hotel was not bad but I don't think I would stay there again because of a few issues.
was looking for something near the airport because I had a 6AM flight. I was pleasantly surprised. Best western was very clean and very close to the airport. Breakfast was very decent. Entertainment less than 10 miles
Comfortable bed. Clean, quiet and clean! (The best part of a value hotel) It was easy to find and easy access to the airport. Lots of hot water. They offer shuttle service to the airport. The breakfast area was nice and well kept. Breakfast was standard but good: sausage and eggs, waffles, breads, juices, coffee, etc.
Everyone was courteous and professional but I want to give a special thank you to Gloria in housekeeping. She not only did an excellent job but went above and beyond for me. Thank you Gloria. I hope BW knows how lucky they are to have an exemplary employee like you.
No complaints at all. Staff are friendly, cordial, and helpful. Don't hesitate to stay here. Continential breakfast with scrambled eggs and sausage included. Smoking allowed 15 feet from entrance. 24/7 coffee available free.
Got into NOLAs at about 2am. Front desk host was friendly. There was a gentleman/employee on a side computer that didnt greet us and was eating a bag of chips at the desk. Room was clean and comfortable. We didnt get up early enough for the complimentary breakfast, so I can't speak to the quality of breakfast. Nice lobby area to hang out with friends and family. Overall, decent property for the price and I would stay again!
This is a very nice hotel clean and quite. The breakfast was good with a large selection. The staff was very friendly and helpful. There are some nice restaurants in short driving distance of this hotel.
Hotel is right on main thoroughfare easy to find. Price extremely reasonable Airport shuttle service was breathe of fresh air even at 5 am she was super helpful. Definitely recommend this hotel The bed was comfortable.
It was a great stay, very well kepted and staf were very nice and professional. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. Thanks :) i give this a five star. Keep up the good work. Until next time stay the same
Really great stay room was nice and clean bed was super comfortable and big. Staff was great Raquel was very helpful in the morning trying to get me a shuttle to the airport! Highly recommend staying here.
This Best Western Plus Hotel was very clean and the bed was quite comfortable. Although it Is fairly close to the airport we did not have any noise problem. The property is right next door to a seemingly abandoned warehouse so the little time we were indoors we kept our drapes drawn as the sight wasn't inviting. The hotel has a shuttle but the location was ideal for us as we rented a car and didn't have to pay for parking. We didn't need much help from the staff who seemed friendly.
Overall experience was nice. The halls were noisy in the morning, but the hotel room was very clean. Breakfast was not great, but the pre baked items were good. There isn't much in the area close to the hotel.
Excellent motel stay close to the airport. Was convenient for picking up my kids. Clean and quiet. Staff friendly and accommodating. Breakfast bar provided several options. Would stay again in the future!!!
I wanted a location close to the airport and also west of town and checked out the reviews. Selected the BW and was very happy with my stay. Clean facility and friendly staff. Breakfast was more than enough and the location worked well for me. Really nice being less than 5 minutes to the airport.
Great stay. Breakfast was good. Beds were great. Close to the airport. Plenty of parking. Hotel looks Brand-new. One of the best Best Westerns I've stayed at. Wish there was a different meat choice every day.
Sid at the front desk saved my wife and I after we frantically searched for parking before we left for our European Honeymoon. Everyone was full but they went out of their way to help us and another young couple, and we couldn't be happier to give them the glowing review they deserve. Thanks!
My wife and I were on our way to our first vacation to a cruise out of Miami on Memorial Day weekend and to our shock every single lot around the entire New Orleans Airport was full. The representative from this Best Western went out of his way and made sure we got a parking spot here and drove us to the airport just in time to make our flight! We owe him and this best western our vacation!
This hotel was located 2 minutes from airport yet we heard no air traffic at all. Unfortunately, there was a loud train whistle in the middle of the night. The hotel had large rooms and satisfactory breakfast selection.
We checked in after our long flight around 10pm. The Receptionist wasn't very welcoming, engaging or friendly. Welcome to New Orleans, we thought! The bed was large and comfortable and the room and bathroom were clean, also complementary toiletries are provided. We had a good nights sleep before moving onto the city centre. The carpets throughout the hotel are a little dated and grubby and looked like they were laid when the Shining was a hit! Breakfast was included, and there was a variety of items to choose from. Thankfully the staff on in the morning were friendly and helpful. Particularly the daytime Receptionist, who was lovely, she helped book a cab for us to go into town, and nothing was too much trouble. It's just a shame I can't remember here name for recognition, it may be Bree, or Iona, but it's been two weeks ago now, but she needs to give the other Receptionist a lesson on how to deliver excellent hospitality.
The room was adequate but that was soured on return from our cruise. Do not fall for the shuttle service to the port, the charge that is advised is $15 and then the parking fees. What apparently they don't advise since this seems to be a modified version of their airport service is that the $15 only covers a one way trip. Which if that was advised at the beginning would be fine. We arrived at the hotel around 12am the day of our cruise and noticed they offered a shuttle service and parking, we inquired about the service and were told the parking rates and then $15 for shuttle service and when we return from the cruise we would be able to call and they would pick us up. We thought this would be great we wouldn't have to fight to navigate streets that were unfamiliar and it would be slightly cheaper, a win win. This is not how it worked, the drop off super easy, we get back from our cruise and call and the gentleman said “oh $15 only covers one way” I proceeded to let them know that is not what we were advised of and explained the situation. The response was lack luster from the “front desk supervisor”, no apology or empathy shown period, no solutions provided other than we can recommend a cab service for you. When requesting a some higher to speak with he let me know it would be a moment, a woman then got on the line, she did not provide name or title just “ Best western, how can I help you”. I explained the situation again, and big surprise again no sympathy or empathy shown just “ well you were misinformed”. That's it not even the offer to assist in anyway, I then asked if it was the hotels common practice to offer one way trips to a cruise terminal that was roughly 30-40 minutes again “ oh that's how some people want it” when I asked for a solution she begrudgingly said “well if you pay the $15 we can have our shuttle come get you” obviously not what we were quoted but we were okay paying for the service since it is outside the normal range of their shuttles which is the airport( which is across the road from the hotel). I let her know that was fine and would be a good solution and asked about what time we should expect the shuttle. She then let me know that the return shuttle when be the same shuttle time that delivered us originally 12 or later. For information purposes all cruises have a debarkation time that they stick to pretty much to a T, our cruise line had us off the boat at 9am so I was on the phone with the hotel at 9:50 or so. The solution she was offering was a roughly 2 hour wait on a cruise terminal with our luggage, this is not a solution this was rude and absolutely ridiculous, we will no longer be staying at any Best Westerns anywhere because of this behavior, and yes I know it is cliche but our family of 22 that vacations every other year together will not be either. The behavior of this woman was horrendous and she should be speaking with customers in anyway and should be sequestered to cleaning rooms to prevent as much contact with them as possible.
The choice of carpet in the room and hallway makes them look and feel dirty. The toilet wasn't cleaned properly. The closet door mirrors were full of fingerprints. Where the towels were, under the sink next to exposed plumbing made me not shower there. Gross. Stickiness on the floor/carpets. Terrible color choices for the walls were unsettling. The train that passed would wake you up. The a/c unit made random loud noise.
We were very pleased we chose this hotel. It's convenient to the airport, provides airport shuttle, clean, hot breakfast, nice pool area. The staff were all friendly and welcoming. We especially want to recognize, Laeeq. He was exceptionally helpful, cheerful and funny !
Stayed their the night before my flight. Check in was quick. Parked my vehicle their which was convenient. The room was updated and modern. Free shuttle to the airport and back. The parking lot was well lit.
Our flight was canceled due to extreme weather conditions and before the airlines could book all the rooms I called B W and booked a room and with my status was able to secure a room and at a fair price. Theuy have a shuttle and bkfst near airport and by I 10 stores near by
My stay was only two nights for Jazz Fest..... not my best hotel experience. This Best Western is very convenient to the airport & for trips into the city. You can call ahead for a shuttle pick up for most regular hours.
Just what we wanted for a 7:00am departure from New Orleans back home. Missed breakfast, we took the 5:00am shuttle to the airport. Great Staff, comfortable room, shuttle when we needed it. Kudos to the hotel team, very pleased with our stay
The hotel looks lovely on the outside and the first floor, but the hallways on the second and third floors really reveal how poorly maintained this hotel is. The carpets were filthy and our room had not been vacuumed in some time. The breakfast was the worst I had ever had in a motel and hotel. The best I can say is "okay" and am stretching it somewhat.
Upon my arrival i wasnt to sure about the hotel and the service it might provide, you see there was a wedding party checking out of the hotel and there was a commotion regarding billing...and well that was resolved and my true experience began....First and foremost everyone had the same temperment, very easy, very calm, as if you were visiting them at home not at the hotel...This one young lady her name is SAVANNA and she gives new meaning to the word multi tasking with tremendous pleasantries...everything from this young lady was "MY PLEASURE" or "IS THAT OKAY FOR YOU" She was front desk person, house keeping and maintinance. i will not stay any where else in this city, no matter how much the cost, this is my new home away from home....and i am a Ritz Carlton platinum guest....well Ritz Carlton this BEST WESTERN is serving notice to you...and by the way, the best room i have stayed in in a long time...this place is GFREAT!!! THANKS SAVANNA.
My family and I stayed over the Easter holiday 2019 (Wed-Tues) over Easter. Check-in and check-out was extremely smooth. The room is modern, lots of outlets! The room is also very quiet, surprising not much outdoor noise so close to the airport. Faint train whistle, but not bad. However, similar to the other reviewers, cleanliness is not a high priority at this property. The tops of the pictures hanging are covered in large dust bunnies. Bottom of the floor lamp also covered in thick dust. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom could have been cleaner, in the corners of the tub were pink slime mold. The bathroom door was warped, so it didn't close nicely and the door didn't stay open. Housekeeping is definitely lacking. Of the six nights we stayed, one day they never showed up. I proceeded to the front desk to let them know and was immediately asked if I had my "Do not disturb" sign on the door. I informed them "no" I did not. She proceeded to flip through some paperwork obviously unamused by me being there. I asked if I could make sure that housekeeping stop by the next day, all I wanted now was clean towels and replacement toilet paper and facial tissue. She begrudgingly scrounged around for towels and paper products. No apology no reassurance that housekeeping would stop by the next day, no nothing. The next day housekeeping did stop by however, word must have come that I complained to the front desk the evening prior, because they did as little as possible to "clean". No replacement toiletries, just made the bed ha;f-assed, removed the trash and replaced the towels. No vacuuming not much else. Even the hallway appeared hot to have been vacuumed. The front desk staff may need better training, as another day I stopped by asking about the impending storm and if that was the reason that all of the schools and government offices where closing early. The response from the front desk attendant condescendingly was that it was Easter (this was on Thursday) so everything was closing early. He asked if my family and I needed to find the immigration office and if that was why we asked about the government offices closing early. I informed him that we did not need immigration, as we are all natural-born US citizens. Breakfast is mediocre at best, frozen egg patties, frozen sausages, nothing to write home about. Good enough for free breakfast. Parking is ample and well-lit. There is a fitness room, business center, and outdoor pool, all looked nice, I didn't use any of these facilities. There isn't much within walking distance from the hotel so this property is better suited to travellers with a vehicle. In the end, my stay was OK but not great. I cannot recommend and would not stay again. I was hoping that the "Plus" in Best Western Plus would be a positive, but it ended up not being such.
Everything was great from our night chicken to our early morning checkout to catch our flight for home at 4:30 am! Staff is very helpful and facility is clean with comfortable beds! But following checkout that's when our frustrations began! We were informed by the night receptionist that we could get a 4:30 am shuttle to the airport! I was prepared to book a cab but after being reassured that I could make our 5:30 am flight on United Airlines I opted to take the shuttle! The shuttle driver showed up at 4:25 am. Great however she took her dead time to go inside the hotel, probably to get keys but calmly took her time to get a coffee! As time was ticking by, I went inside to ask when she would be ready as we had our 5:30 flight! She informed me once she had her coffee! Finally she arrived to move the vehicle to the front entrance to load our luggage! I attempted to assist and in an aggressive tone was told not to touch the van doors! Finally as she started to load our luggage she indicated that we could help! Long story short, we barely made our flight but the driver on route did inform us that she was doing this as a courtesy as the van didn't start until 5 AM! We knew this but were told that the shuttle would run at 4:30 an. Very stressful!
This quite smallish best Western is around a mile from New Orleans airport and offer free shuttle service. The hotel is quite confortable, facilities include a pool and a gym. Rooms are spacious and well decorated. Most of the staff are superb, except a grumpy one that sometimes is at the breakfast room. I say that because the staff who work there are multitasking, the person who man the reception during the check in, probably the next morning is working as a housekeeper doing the rooms. Is obvious that the place is understaffed and the staff are overworked. Having said that is impressive that they still smile and try to help at every opportunity The only fault I can put is that the breakfast have not much of an option for sugar-free cereals or other stuff suitable for diabetics.
This is a good basic hotel providing all essentials for an overnight stay. We arrived after a long flight from London. The bed was really comfy which was a great plus. Nearby was a small burger place , so fine for a snack or basic meal.
If you are looking for a place to stay that is close, clean and the right price, then I suggest the Best Western Plus New Orleans is the place. The rooms are big and clean with in room coffee, great wi fix and the best shower to shake off tension from a long travel day. The next morning, you will have a great Breakfast waiting for you. The lady in charge of the breakfast there to help and if there is something you cannot find, she will do her best to find.
The shuttle driver BITCHED about the amount of luggage we had upon loading infront of others, and again BITCHED about the amount of luggage upon unloading. We had been traveling for nearly 2 weeks, and our luggage included my wife's walker. TOTALLY UNPROFESSIONAL.
Paper thin walls we could hear the Tv in the next room like we were in the room the bathroom smelled like old towels the person at the desk was not helpful with the noise problem good thing we only stayed one night we will never stay in a BWestern again!
We stayed here to catch the early (free) shuttle to the airport to go home. The hotel was generally nice and the staff were pleasant. It was clean enough, but not spic and span the way I prefer. The halls could have really used a vacuum, as could the edges of our room and edges of the bed. Dust on the back of the television. There is a large gap under the door (over an inch) which streamed in bright light. This really should be fixed, as you stare right at it when trying to sleep. When leaving in the morning, I noticed that several other rooms had towels and blankets sticking out of the gap, which I assume were placed there by guests experiencing the same thing I did. Overall, I wouldn't mind staying there again. It served it's purpose well, but a little more attention to detail/cleaning would definitely move it up a star. Shuttle was on time and very convenient.
Beds was not mde as per standard & Front Desk agent was not friendly & little rude. Also Air conditioned was completely turned off when check in & odor smell was coming from the room. I have to turned on the A/C & went out for an hour to remove that odor smell.
Check in was quick. We have crawling infants so always do a thorough floor check...lets just say we found things left behind from previous guests that would have been a huge danger for babies. We took pictures of one item so we had proof before we flushed it. Carpet was so filthy in room our babies legs were black no matter instantly every time we washed them (their legs). The manager apologized and explained why the room cleaning was subpar. He also allowed us to check out early and gave us a refund for the unused night. Breakfast was delicious with a decent variety to choose from. Parking was very adequate and safe for the area. There was a lot of noise but it's close to the airport so that's understandable. Given the circumstances for the dirty room....I would stay there again.
We stayed here for four nights in March while visiting New Orleans. We planned this trip only about four weeks ahead of time, and due to that lack of lead time we were unable to get reservations at any of the more affordable options in the central business district so we had to stay at this hotel. I will say as a qualifier though, we routinely stay at Best Westerns and their quality is usually good. This particular Best Western we found to be below average. Our bathroom was not clean upon arrival. We paid extra for an upgraded suite size room in order to have space to relax as needed. The couch and chair in the suite area were literally so uncomfortable you could not stay on them any amount of time,as well as questionable in cleanliness. They looked like mismatched patched together furniture. I don't recommend paying for a suite after our experience. Walls are very thin, you can expect to be woken up by neighbors using their fans, microwaves, etc. Lastly their breakfast food was prepared in a watery reheated way (eggs and sausage) that rendered it inedible to us. They do have waffle makers if you can get a turn. After the first two mornings of not really being able to eat, we ended up having to buy breakfast elsewhere. This cost us more time and money. On the positive side, they are very near the airport and they have a free shuttle. They were kind enough to pick us up and drop us off which we appreciated. We found the drive to downtown New Orleans from the hotel to take longer than we had hoped. 25 minutes minimum if traffic is optimal, far longer if not. Just something we experienced that I am passing along. In summary, this was an affordable option but below average for a Best Western, and you may be buying your breakfast.
Really enjoyed our stay here. No bells and whistles. Just friendly, helpful people, clean and comfortable rooms and a good night's rest. Place is very well maintained. There appears to be hot breakfast available as well, but we did not try it. We will be back our next visit in town.
Nice clean hotel the rooms were clean but could be cleaner . I say that bc there was an old pair of socks on the floor by the top of the bed . The check in was fast but the front desk clerk clearly hated life , so they for sure need to add some smiling social people . The housekeeper was great all 4 days i was there she checked on us to see if we needed anything and went out of her way to find us a bath tub mat so my kids wouldnt keep falling in the tub ; we stayed in room 115 . It was quite and nice we slept really good even after i seen a lot of reviews about the airport noise which we didnt hear anything not even the train behind the property . I will be staying here again
This hotel was fairly new, clean and comfortable. The staff was not overly friendly, but also never rude or unprofessional. My room was clean, smelled good and well taken care off. The walls were pretty thin, we could hear our neighbors, but it didn't disturb our sleep badly. The elevator was broken most of our stay, but the stairs worked and the fitness room was well equipped! The breakfast was ok. We stayed three nights and all three mornings they served the exact same thing. It would have been nice to have different meat and eggs. I would stay here again.
The experience was not the best. Check in less than preferable. Rooms noisy. Had to be shown a second room before we accepted cleanliness and then the toilet was filthy. Doors close very loudly and no noise not controlled by front desk. Very noisy, most nights unable to sleep because of doors banging, loud talking in to the night. Most staff not overly friendly. There were four that were. Surely not a long stay hotel. Not much in the area to do. One actual restaurant. Hotel right across from airport, although no noise from it, surprisingly. We have found most Best Westerns very good places to stay however.
It's closer to airport they have there own shuttle to n from breakfast is free not close to downtown New Orleans it's great if u want quiet they have some nice places to eat they have poker casinos near u
This hotel was conveniently located for what we needed to do that weekend. We were there for a surprise Birthday Party which was only 10 mins away from the hotel. Very friendly staff and very clean room. The elevator was broken when we arrived and it was fixed like they said it would be.
It is very close ,clean and convenient to the airport . Just a two night stay on the way to Houma . Rooms are well kept and quiet . Seems like a weird area but very safe and nice . Staff was accommodating, Breakfast was good
Hotel was great. Clean smelled great all amenities were available. Staff was available consistently and very friendly and engaging. Check-in was fast and easy. The only con was lack of shuttle access. The shuttle only goes to air port and doesn't provide transportation to the French Quarters. Uber was affordable Lyft was expensive but when your going round trip from hotel to French quarter it can be expensive $40.00 round trip. Overall great place to stay close to restaurants (within walking distance) and airport.
I booked 2 rooms 7 months in advance. One month before our trip we found out we would not be able to go. Best Western refuses to refund our money. We have spoke with the front desk manager, hotel manager, and customer care. They have offered to change our date for and additional $60 per room. This is unacceptable to us. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. I am leaving one star because we are now paying for two rooms we will never use.
Pleasant stay, nice, clean room. Not the most comfortable bed and the smallest pillows I have ever seen. Nothing in my opinion to warrant $150 per night, but in fairness, all of the surrounding hotels charge the same rate. Was told nothing about checkout, and there was no one at the desk when I was trying to leave.
Let's start with what is good about hotel. This is a relatively new hotel, (open approx 20 months at the time of writing), and so it is fresh, and well appointed for the most part. The rooms are clean, the amenities (beds, bathroom, TV and lighting) are all good. Now lets look at while this hotel fails. The first and foremost was the attitude of the front desk personnel. I got in early on a Sunday evening, and it was is the person checking me in was doing me a favour. Worst front desk person ever at a Best Western facility. The next thing is that the walls are paper thin; you can hear everything in the rooms on either side. Third is that there is a three quarter inch gap between the bottom of the room door, and the floor, which made it even noisier as I could hear everything going on in the hall way. Third, the breakfast was horrible. The standard eggs were watery and the sausage was cold and rock hard, as if not properly cooked. Now whilst the locating is close to the airport, there is NOTHING nearby if you are ordering in. So if like my self, you don't have a car, and dependent upon ordering in, this might represent a bit of a challenge, There were four pizza joints that you could order in from, and the only two food service providers on Grubhub were Taco Bell and Subway. So needless to say, this is not a hotel I would recommend if one is without a vehicle and if noise from the hallways and the adjoining room is something that would disturb you.
Booked this hotel due to time our flight from NOLA was departing. The location is perfect and you can drive to the airport within 5 minutes. Was able to book in advance and got a very good rate. Hotel is great! Room was clean and very comfortable. WIFI was good speed. Check out was fast and the staff member was friendly and helpful. There is a shuttle available (we did not use it) but saw signs. There is also a breakfast but due to the time our flight leflt, we did not get to try it. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again when traveling out of NOLA.
Staff was lovely even though they were saints fans complementary breakfast was awesome hotel was charming not high end but still very nice location was close to area attractions and Superdome Almost everything was within walking distance and we were right across from Louis Armstrong Park
Stay was a bit pricey because of the weekend game but check was quick and the lobby was clean. Hallways were clean and the room was comfortable. I would definitely stay again, and again, and again....
Quick overnight stay. Took our car to airport the night before. Got shuttle from airport to hotel. They didnt really want to accommodate the pickup from the departure level but it was after 830pm & no one around there so it made it easier to pick up. Finally she understood. The driver knew right away. They only carry sugar & ugh, sweet n low. Bring your own alternative sweetener for coffee. If you shuttle, set time on list at desk & be there at the door 10-15 mins before or they WILL leave your butt. No call to room. Then its 1/2 hr wait. They run on the 1/2 hr. The other best western in oregon called us to verify. Fridge was off on arrival & water from thawed freezer was all over inside. Used hand towel to clean up. Overall nice enough place but a bit tired attitudes of employees.
A great choice with the best access to the airport! Spotlessly clean, beautiful décor, very friendly staff and less than a quarter mile from the airport rental car return. Makes traveling incredibly easy. To top it all off, much more affordable than other hotels around the airport.
Selected for cost and proximity to airport. Very nice and will certainly stay here again and look at other BW when traveling. Beds comfortable, good parking, lots of pillows, friendly front desk, easy route into downtown, did not hear any outside noise. Breakfast bar had working waffle makers. Could use one extra lamp/light. Plenty of outlets. Fast internet
I stayed here on a business trip. Right away the lobby was welcoming and we were greeted by a friendly lady behind the front desk. She promptly checked us in. The rooms were clean and loaded with the essentials. The free breakfast had a decent selection. The gym had all the essential equipment to have a good workout. Will definately stay here again.
After travelling since 2 am 12/29 when I arrived at the hotel Sid the Receptionist working the Front Desk was able to get me checked into a very nice room early. The room at this hotel is very comfortable and the mattress on the bed feels like home and very comfortable. I found this hotel very clean and the Staff very helpful. The hotel has a great breakfast area too with a lot of choices and the breakfast bar is very organized, the food is fresh and delicious. The parking lot is also well lit at night which makes a difference when returning to the room at night.
This Best Western is situated very conveniently by the airport, but it also is worthwhile for a stay all on its own. The room was well cared for and maintained attentively during our visit. The staff (particularly Raquel at the front desk) were very helpful and pleasant. The breakfast offering each morning was definitely worth partaking of and the dining area was kept clean and stocked each morning. All in all, this is a very pleasant place to stay for a very reasonable price. It is also very near I10, making getting around and in and out of New Orleans uncomplicated. Recommended!
The manager was so receptive to my needs and stored my equipment until I got there the next couple of days. He even helped me load the boxes into my car. The service was outstanding and very comfortable rooms. I will definitely stay there again.
This was my third stay at this property. I chose it because of its proximity to the airport and free shuttle service. After dropping my wife off at the hotel, I returned our rental car to the airport. The clerk said to give her a call when I was ready to be picked up. The phone number she gave me was for Best Western central reservations, they simply told me to wait for the shuttle bus. I waited and waited. After 30 minutes, I called my wife at the hotel and asked her to contact the front desk about the shuttle. My wife was given a lecture by the front desk clerk. She said I was told to wait until the shuttle arrived. This was not true. After 1 hour, the shuttle finally arrived. Additionally, the pillows in the room are about 1' by 1' square, 1' thick and hard as a rock. They are so uncomfortable we wound up sleeping with no pillows under our heads. The staff has been consistently unfriendly and unhelpful This was our last stay at this property.
The property was very nice. Enjoy the restaurant across the street at Voodoo. Very close in proximity to the airport. The best of all was they have transportation to and from the airport. Value was good for property.
Travel party of 4, meeting 2 other families before a cruise. Free airport shuttle arrived in the promised 10 minutes after calling. We asked for our rm to be near the other families and was pleasantly accommodated. Room and bed very comfortable. A.C. worked great. Shower was sparkling clean. Breakfast was typical. Loved the dried fruit offerings. No gluten free.
Clean, well located. Very friendly staff, in fact, that makes this hotel. Rooms are clean. Walls a bit thin so you do hear some noise. Breakfast is adequate. Good long-term parking rates, great shuttle to local restaurant. Reasonable cruise ship shuttle. Would stay there again.
Convenient and clean place to stay right by the airport with free shuttle service. We had to leave early - before breakfast - and they gave us a to-go bag with fruit and a granola bar and let us grab some yogurt, too.
This is a completely typical airport hotel. While planning our trip we decided that rather than spend huge bucks in town prior to our cruise the day following our arrival that we'd stay near the airport and shuttle to the cruise terminal the next day. Reading other reviews we were a little anxious but it turned out the hotel is just fine. You are seemingly in the middle of nowhere but there are restaurants nearby and the shuttle will take you and pick you up if you'd like. We were warmly greeted and set up for our stay. The room was spacious and clean. The breakfast was the usual fair with a decent variety but the end of service was a little unusual in that the lights in the area were shut off at the precise time and the food rushed to the back room. Not sure it needed the drama but whatever. The hallways/doors could stand some sound insulation as there were several groups that arrived after we were in bed and it sounded like they were coming in our room. We'd arranged for a shuttle to the cruise terminal when we arrived but rather than the hotel shuttle it was a ratty cab. We had also arranged a late check out. The front desk called our room twice about the shuttle, the last 45 minutes before our scheduled check out which was a little annoying. It turns out the driver was early and wanting to go before we were ready. All the driver wanted to do the whole way to the terminal was to try to sell us on restaurants and tours post cruise. Rather annoying. Nevertheless, the stay was just fine albeit only one night.
The hotel was sold out. We went out to attend a party and when we came in there were no handicapped spaces. As we walked into the hotel, Anica (front desk clerk) greeted us with a big smile and made sure we had found a space. She told us she was watching for us and would have moved the hotel bus, parked at the front, to give us a close space if a handicapped space had not opened up. She was so kind and that meant so much to us! GREAT job Anica!! Thanks for going the extra mile!
This is a very clean and well maintained Hotel. I was told it is only 2 years old. the Breakfast was very good and had a large selection. The internet was a little sloe buy, remember you are down the street from the Airport. The room were very clean and quite. The bottom of the bathtub is a little slick so watch you're step. It was a great value $$ for what you get. There is also a Barbecue restaurant down the road VOODOO Barbecue Excellent food and good prices.
First, when I arrived, not only was the lady working the front desk rude, she gave so much attitude. No way was she helpful with my situation. Second, at 9 am in the morning on the 3rd floor, two housekeeping, a man and woman, were fighting!! They were arguing loudly in the hall, calling each other names, knocking things around and overall being very disturbing. With my husband and I coming in very late, we wanted to rest, but surely did not get it. They were arguing over who had the right cart, calling each other babies and so on. The overall experience was the worst. I wish I spent the extra money across the street at the Holiday Inn Express. The room smelled, the front desk was extremely rude to me and the housekeeping were arguing non stop in the hallway. The ONLY good thing was the breakfast and that is pretty much it. Never will I return to this hotel. I cannot stress it enough. Poor customer service, disrespectful and obnoxious.
My friends and I stayed at the Best Western in New Orleans and from the first encounter during our shuttle from the airport we knew this would be a great trip. Lake was funny, helpful and courteous. The check in was quick and easy. The free shuttle ride was perfect taking us where we needed to go and directing us to the best spots in town. I would recommend to anyone and wouldnt hesitate to book again. All the staff was great but Lake was exceptional and we loved him.
We had a great experience starting from our ride from the airport. Lake was great. He was funny and directed us to all the great sites in New Orleans. Lake was courteous, friendly and a pleasure to be around. The hotel was nice, clean and the staff was friendly. The free breakfast was just what we needed to start our day.
I frequently stay at Best Western and I'm disappointed in myself for not doing more research on this location for honest reviews. Pros~ close to airport Includes breakfast CONS~ Location is literally next to a truck rest stop in the middle of industrial area Almost no food places nearby or shops Staff not very friendly Room was dirty upon check in- found a pill on the floor by chair, giant wads of hair in the hall and bathroom shower, broken tiles laying in closet I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
Service was great. Staff was very helpful. I arrived early and asked for any possibility for early check in. (11:45) They asked for 15 minutes to ready a room and gave it to me. The place was clean and very quiet. Not far from the airport. about a half-hour outside of town. Breakfast was hotel basic. I would stay again if in the area.
Hotel property is new and beautiful. Clean smell upon walking in. Employees happy and joking with one another. Room was exactly as described. Ac was cold and efficient. Convenient store and subway next door. Safe feeling property and would gladly stay again.
Cons: 1. I am NOT exaggerating when I say this ... The guest room literally had a strong MUSTY PUBIC HAIR odor that I swear hit me as soon as I walked into the room. I almost died. Upon further investigation, it appears the odor was caused by the carpet that was apparently recently cleaned and still damp, so the damp carpet created this disgusting odor (meaning the carpets was apparently NOT cleaned well enough). The odor was identical to musty human public hair. I couldn't wait to check out the moment I walked into the room and was HIT with this odor. 2. The room felt very gloomy and dark. It was not well lit during night time and it didn't feel like a happy, comfortable space. Although the pictures show the rooms well lit and happy-looking ... it is NOT that way in person! 3. The hotel receptionist was outside smoking when I came to check in. She was a nice lady, but it threw me off walking into an empty hotel lobby and the clerk rushed from the outside after taking smoke break while ON THE CLOCK. 4. The 2nd and 3rd floors apparently had a broken A/C unit, because the hallways felt like a sauna. The A/C in the rooms worked well, but the hallways felt like a hot bathroom. I don't understand how the poor housekeepers can even work in those conditions. Sad. 5. The photos of the lobby on the photos looked welcoming and bright, but in person, most of the lights were turned off in the lobby/breakfast area, and it made the hotel feel gloomy and creepy. It was weird. 6. Some of the people staying at this hotel looked really shady. One lady walking down the hallway from her room was dressed like a stripper or go-girl. I almost thought I was in some cheap, roadside motel the way the people looked. 7. None of my "hotel reservations requests" were acknowledged or taken into consideration. Absolutely NONE of them. 8. I didn't use the airport shuttle (which is apparently why a lot of people choose this weird hotel, but judging from some of the comments on this section, the shuttle service isn't too much better. 9. The hotel time i was at this hotel, I was wishing I had just booked at the Holiday Inn Express right across the street since the outside of that hotel looked much better. 10. Don't listen to the other positive comments on this website, because this really needs to be a $80 or less hotel. That's the TRUE value of this hotel. Honestly. How dare they charge people over $100 for this motel-quality hotel. Ugh! Pros: None really . . . I guess the free hotel breakfast was okay. I liked the breakfast sausages they served. That was probably the best part of staying at this hotel. Lol.
We were greeted in a friendly manner by the hostess and our clean room was near the pool as we hoped. The pool towels we received were big and soft. The room was quiet, the internet was good, access to the airport and NOLA was easy as we remembered from our first visit. We will return.
Our room was clean, spacious & very comfortable. It has an airport shuttle so it works great for your last night before flying out. Can't comment on their breakfast as we left before it began. My ONLY complaint is that be very careful if you are taking a shower.... the tub was VERY slippery & there was no non skid mat to put in it ~ I felt the need to hold on to the bars. The staff was very friendly & while we were waiting on the morning shuttle she kept us informed on the status as the bus driver had called in sick that day. They had plenty of time to get us another driver & get us to the airport in plenty of time for our flight.
We stayed here for one night on a business trip and we were very happy with this hotel! Its newly built and right when you walk in its very nice! The staff was very nice and polite and our room was very clean and upgraded. The bed was very comfortable. Breakfast the next morning was hot and fresh and had a nice variety of things to choose from! Its very convenient to the airport and has a convenience store right next door. If we ever come back through this area we will definitely be staying here again!
Wonderful hotel. Our stay was excellent. The room was very nice and well equipped. We found the hotel very clean and the staff excellent. WiFi worked great. Did not experienced any problems during my stay. I would recommend this hotel and will stay again myself
This place is very decent for a Best Western , the rooms were clean, beds comfy , location is random but not bad. The staff members were professional , tiny pool , well maintained. The room was very large with a mini fridge , microwave , tiny single cup coffee maker. The ac wasn't very cold but wasn't awful. I'd return again.
This is the safest and cleanest Hotel in Kenner, La. or the New Orleans, La. area! The staff is so very nice and they will help you with any questions you may have. The continental breakfast is awesome!
Great place to park when flying out of town for several days. $8 plus tax, they shuttle you to airport and pick you up when you return. Fast friendly staff. Would highly recommend parking here, rather than the pricey airport.
We stayed at this hotel for a quick layover. Our room was clean and comfortable and the front desk staff and shuttle drivers were very accommodating. We arrived late and asked for restaurant recommendations; they suggested and drove us to Voodoo BBQ and that was great as well. Would definitely start there again and recommend to anyone doing a layover in New Orleans. Thank you!
Hotel is as expected for a budget hotel. The shuttle to the airport is free and easy to use with friendly drivers. Rooms are clean and refurbished. The a/c units a little noisy I like the fact they have a fridge and microwave. Be prepared if you have no car that there are no restaurans nearby. The waffle House next door is horrible. Gas station across the road has sandwiches and snacks. The little pool is good for kids but it's open till 10 and was noisy when I stayed. Reception staff were helpful and accommodating. The breakfast room is small but clean serving scrambled eggs, sausage, pancakes from a weirdo machine. Bagles toast and some pastries. Cereals, packets of oatmeal or grits.
I took my family to the airport and came down the day before the flight. I asked for a particular room and got it; the Internet worked fine; the hotel and the pool were clean. Every staff member I encountered spoke to me and acted as if they were ready to help me if I needed something. Breakfast was OK but I wasn't a fan of the sausages. The hotel is in an industrial area but this was not an issue. The area was quiet and I only heard one train when outside at the pool. Turns out that when I got home, I found I left my swimsuit in the bathroom. I didn't realize it until the next day and I figured it would be gone. I called anyway and the staff said they thought it was in the lost and found room and would look for it. I told them I would be back in a week to pick up my family and would stop back by there. I was very grateful that they kept it for me and I was able to retrieve it. I will stay there again when I go back.
The hotel staff was terrible. The internet does not work. The pillows and the bed are extremely uncomfortable and the price is very high for what is offered. The staff was unhelpful and the experience was just overall a nightmare.
Our two couples stayed at this Best Western Plus before flying back home after a 5 day trip in Louisiana. It is quite new and well maintained as well as comfortable and very conveniently located near the MSY Airport, especially when you have a flight very early the next morning. The free shuttle takes you there in 3-4 minutes, which is great. We couldn't enjoy the free breakfast as our flight was too early.
I was a little apprehensive about noise. I've had difficulty with aircraft noise in inns near airports. While booking I satisfied myself by reading reviews. When we arrived we were aware of switching operations in a nearby rail-yard and I was worried that we might suffer from locomotive horns and engines. No problem. Everything else about this Inn was all the good things one expects from a BW+.
My only complaint was the shuttle. I arrived at 11:05 with front desk cell phone/text contact and the driver still left!! Thus we took a cab which cost $18-the ride was max 5mins!!! Be warned the shuttle ends at 11PM. Other than that this place is great for an airport night stay: friendliest staff, easy check in, comfy room with plush pillows, pool, gym, business center to print docs and a decent breakfast (juice, tea, coffee, bread, fruit, waffle mix, oatmeal, eggs and sausage). Is the food excellent? No, but you can find something to sustain your day. Only a SUBWAY and convenience store next door for late night eats.
this was probably the worst hotel experience i have ever had. we were greeted by two men that kept disagreeing with what we needed to do and then laughed. it was so creepy we did not want to leave our room once we were here. we booked this online (instead of our favorite French Quarter motel) because it was supposed to be close to the airport and had a free shuttle. they did not want to take us when we needed to go. 4:30 am. they would go at 4 or 5, but not 4:30. i was insistant and he agreed with me to do 4:30, but he wrote it down at 5 and when we came out of the room to get the shuttle the staff was incensed. they called us liars and him too. the lady that did drive us stood and watched me while i loaded my bags and my friends bags into the trunk. she grumbled the entire trip. we were not sure if she was talking to us or someone on her blue tooth, but the whole experience was awful. BW needs to train this staff or take their name back.
I read reviews and look at pictures of hotels. This hotel was really nice for such a short one night stay. Flight came in at 2am and didn't want to drive 2 hours to Lafayette in the middle of the night and I searched TripAdvisor and decided on Best Western Plus. Glad I did, everything was wonderful and the breakfast was really nice.
Our family stayed here the night before an early flight at the Air Port. The rooms were very clean and offered soaps and lotions. The beds were comfortable. We had both coffee and tea in our rooms with a brewer. We were up to early for breakfast but If your just sleeping over I would suggest this Hotel. The staff was attentive and pleasant.
Stayed here for two nights while attending a funeral. Front desk staff and housekeeping staff were all very friendly and helpful. Room was clean, internet was fast, and having a refrigerator and microwave in the room was especially handy. The hotel is a bit hard to find in that as you come out of the airport, it is on the other side of a big overpass on the right and once you are across that, you still can't see the hotel. But it is there eventually. The hotel is on the left and you have to make a u-turn just past the entrance to get to it. I rented a car, but the hotel does provide shuttle service to/from the airport and to/from the cruise port. Several guests were there before their cruise and were leaving their cars parked at the hotel.
I stayed at Best Western Plus New Orleans Airport for 3 days. ON DAY 1: rude front desk woman acted like I was the last person she wanted to deal with. She acted like she was doing me a favor (I'm the one who paid $300!). No smile, dressed & made-up unattractively. She told me to sign the hotel agreement. I saw a section for Guest Vehicle info.; I asked her if she needed my car info; she got impatient and demanded that I just need to sign the form. What a bad start to my trip! Right after that bad experience, another one: There was a 2-car lane in front of reception for people to check-in. I was in 1st lane behind your shuttle van. The owners drove-up to 2nd lane, parked, and went inside hotel. So I was blocked from moving forward and had to back-out of 2-lane area and then drive through the "wrong-way" lane to get to the parking area. How rude for the owners to do this to guests! (I know they were the owners because they were chatting with employees on a first name basis.) But how dare they think they can just park and block anyone they want. This isn't India--customers should be #1 priority, and they're not kings! ON DAY 3: In my 30 years of traveling, I never had the experience of someone having been inside my room. I had my "Do Not Disturb" sign out the whole day. I immediately checked to see if anything was stolen; nothing was taken. It still freaked me out--I thought maybe an employee went inside my room and just messed around. The reason I knew someone was inside my room was because the bathroom light & fan were on, the curtains were drawn open, and a dirty towel was on the desk (I have OCD so I always know exactly how I left things.) This was on June 3rd, Sunday, I was gone from 5:30am-5:30pm, and I was the only guest staying in this room. Feeling violated, I came to the conclusion that the housekeeper must have ignored the "Do Not Disturb" sign and started to clean my room but somehow she realized she wasn't supposed to go inside my room, so stopped mid-cleaning and left. This never happened to me ever before--It really scared me at first and made me feel very unsafe! BOTTOM LINE: I should have kept my reservation at Hilton Garden Inn instead! P.S. What a sloppy job of cleaning of my room. When I checked in, there was 1) numerous hair on the seat of the leather swivel desk chair, and there was 2) a used stirring straw on the carpet floor.
This hotel met our basic needs and expectations in most ways. I wouldn't seek it out in the future, but if we needed a hotel near the airport again, I wouldn't avoid it either. - The rooms were clean enough (a closer look in the bathroom corners and at the tile grout shows a good, deep clean is needed). - The beds were comfortable, but the pillows were way too large and lumpy. - The internet, air conditioning, iron, and TV all worked perfectly (our only wish would be a channel guide for the TV). The major disappointment was the breakfast. I don't have high expectations for a complimentary hotel breakfast, but this one really was terrible, so it deserves mentioning. - waffle batter was super runny and hard to use - flakes of black mold came out of the water dispenser into your cup - coffee was terrible and not refilled when it ran out - bread products and pastries were hard and stale - fruit available was brown bananas, mushy apples, and dried out oranges - there were not enough seats and tables for the volume of guests - the man working in the breakfast area was far from pleasant and interested in being there
The hotel is close to the New Orleans Airport, though a bit distant from New Orleans itself. However, I found the extra driving time to be worthwhile as I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The staff -- from the front desk to the housekeepers -- were courteous and helpful in every case. The room was large, clean and comfortable (especially the huge bed). I was impressed by the large, well-designed bathroom and the large closet, as well as the profusion of charging outlets for laptop, cell phone, etc. Breakfast offered both hot and cold options and a nice variety of each type. There was plenty of parking available (sometimes that can be a problem at a mid-range hotel). The only drawback I noticed was the proximity of the hotel property to two rail lines. Trains did pass frequently, and the horns and sounds of heavy freight cars were definitely noticeable. However...I am a railfan, so those sounds were welcome to my ears! As mentioned previously, the hotel is a fair distance from New Orleans (and a bit of a drive to Kenner and Metairie). There is a VooDoo BBQ located a short distance away, at the Holiday Inn/St. Rose. Also, there is a casino (with restaurant and convenience store) that is walking distance from the Best Western parking lot. Gas stations and other services are available in both directions along Airline Highway. This is a good hotel, and I plan to book a room at the Best Western Plus on future trips to New Orleans.
Clean, quiet, comfortable, well staffed, and good basic breakfast buffet. Driving into N.O. for first time and wanted to stay outside of downtown for parking reasons. This was a great location with only about 30 minute drive into WWII museum in the am.
When I entered the room there were many cockroaches and also the sheets hasn't been changed and were full of hairs. When I went back to the reception the girl was so rude and told me it was the last room in the hotel. It was late and I had no choice to stay there!! They didn't want to give me any discount. Don't go there!!
I accidentally booked my stay for a week later then intended. I didn't realize the mistake until I attempted to check in. The front desk employee Kayla was probably one of the most helpful people I have ever come across. I was already stressed from some family issues when she got me phone numbers, made calls, spoke to trip advisor on my behalf, approved the cancellation and found me an alternate room at the last minute. She is an asset and did more than she was probably required to do. The room was nice and convenient to the airport but Kayla was the crown jewel.
Best Western is the next place like home. The services provided doing our stay was excellent. Oh, the breakfast is always good. Also, express checkout service was excellent. This Best Western is located in a very good location, close to New Orleans, Louisiana international airport.
Nice hotel for night before my flight. The hotel looks and feels new. Room was clean and comfortable. Had to put pillows by the door to prevent hall light coming in and being reflected by mirror closet doors, but that was fine. One suggestion: please start your airport shuttle earlier. I had a 6am flight, and your first shuttle at 5am isn't early enough with security and check in. Maybe 4:30am would have done it, so not too much earlier is needed.
I had a wonderful experience on the premises. The staff as well as the hotel was great and I would recommend for others to stay at this hotel. I would like to stay at this location when I travel again to New Orleans.
This is a good location if you need to get to an early flight out of New Orleans airport. The room was average in style and comfort. A plus though is that we were able to control the room temp which is starting to be missing at other hotel brands. We experienced a staff who needs customer relations training to improve their professionalism. The desk clerk was not very professional and had a strong odor of cigarettes that could easily be smelled across the counter.
We stayed three nights here and found it to be one of the best motel stays ever. The motel was very neat and clean and the staff were all very nice and eager to help in any way. I would recommend this motel to anyone in need of a motel in the New Orleans area.
Excellent location, overall friendly staff, free self parking, clean comfortable rooms for the cost. Enjoyed my stay as usual (stayed here in Oct2017) will continue to use this hotel in the future. Breakfast is average nothing to write home about but it works for a quick bite in the morning.
We were only here overnight flying in and out. The accommodations were clean and comfortable, and the front desk very helpful. The shuttle service both evening and morning was prompt and responsive. However, no nearby, easy to get to restaurants.
Ideal for the airport especially after a long flight roughly about 5 minutes drive from the rental car station. We got a good price through booking.com. hotel is a little frayed around the edges decor wise but the bed and room where great. We liked the breakfast and coffee is available 24 hours. Vending machine was out of action . Staff were excellent and helpful It is what it is and would use again.
The desk clerk was more than helpful and courteous to us. Our room was very nice and clean. The breakfast was more than enough and well maintained. We met the manager and conveyed our thanks to him and it was well received.
This is a nice place. It is about a year and a half old and everything feels new (except the upstairs vending machines). The staff were very friendly. There is a pool. There is an amazing bbq place close by, for lunch/dinner, and there is a waffle maker at breakfast, so it's allll alright by me! The shuttle to the airport takes about 3 minutes, but this spot is far from any city center locations.
We stayed from April 6 -April 9th and had a great time. The room was very clean and the staff was friendly as well as attentive. Anika (front desk) was a very nice and helped us feel welcomed. The only downside was the breakfast. There was not a person there to assist with restocking items and so left hungry.
Hotel close to the airport; arrived to celebrate Mardi Gras for the weekend. Hotel had a hotel continental breakfast, staff was friendly and the property was very clean. In addition to airport proximity, it was a 20 minute drive to Bourbon Street and 10 minuets Kenner shopping center.
It was fairly easy getting from cruise port to the hotel, despite the traffic. The hotel was very clean and comfy. The staff were very friendly. Had two king size rooms w/fridge & microwave We only stayed overnight then off the Biloxi
The hotel is literally down the street from the airport, which is super convenient. I gave it three stars because we arrived to the hotel around 11:30 as I had requested an early check in. It was denied because the hotel was packed, so we drove around the area but returned to the hotel at 1:30 and they allowed us in so that was cool. Interior and exterior very clean and neat. Besides a small stain on the bed runner yes I'm that person when I'm spending my money the room was clean the bathroom is nice size. It was packed but you didn't hear a lot of noise. If I could rate the free breakfast it would be a 0 star it would've been nice to have boiled eggs and an assortment of tea I'm used to that at hotels. The sausages and eggs were cold but they did have a pancake and waffle maker. I only stayed one night to enjoy New Orleans before boarding my cruise the next day and the cost was 160 to be fair we did book last minute but I think it should've been 100 at best.
Very easy to find and get to the airport. Fast service- convenience store next door with food to grab. Outdoor pool small but clean. Free breakfast. Clean lobby. Small souvenirs for sale, magnets, postcards, etc.
Unreliable shuttle service, I had to call 4 times from the airport to be picked up and it took 45 mins of waiting. Returning back to airport was also a problem. Manger is rude and employees could use a little help too, front desk would not pick up the phone, goes to a loop, buttons on the phone are wrong, auto wake up call is not working on the phone. It is a new hotel, so clean room helped the stay.
Cleanest hotel in the area. Made reservations at a Days Inn, checked into the hotel and noticed the 2-inch roach crawling around. Just us suitcases and left immediately. Got a refund at front desk and headed to the Best Western one or two blocks away. The Best Western was a site for Sore Eyes, as a Best Western Diamond member I should have known better , just didn't know there was a Best Western in that location ,. and should have made the reservations here in the first place. Very clean.
I was looking for a reasonable option for a cheer competition for my daughter. This place was close to the venue and affordable...I was pleasantly surprised that it was also very nice, and it wasn't far from Bourbon Street. My room was spacious and clean. I will return whenever I return to New Orleans.
The shuttle didn't take long when we were picked up, but the day we departed in never happened. The front desk told us we would leave at 9:30. At 10:00 we were still waiting, so I called an Uber. The fellow manning the desk was harried, and not friendly.
I'll be back here with my next trip Great service with their breakfast bar and their van service to the airport You can leave your auto with them and when your return to New Orleans airport they are quick to come get you and take you to your auto
This location is super convenient to the airport. You can tell that it is a fairly new property. The room was extremely clean!! I didn't see any dust or dirt anywhere. The room was nice and quiet. I heard minimal noise from the other rooms. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. I didn't see any tea bags over by the coffeemaker and a cup of hot tea would have been great being that I was fighting a cold. The air conditioning was fantastic!! It was super humid the night I checked in. The water pressure in the bathroom could have stood to be a lot stronger. The breakfast was okay. It is the typical continental hotel breakfast. The option of two different flavors of batter for the make your own waffles was nice. That is the first time I have ever seen that. The shuttle to and from the airport runs every 30 minutes. The shuttle driver I had from the airport was very nice. The front desk agent that checked me in was very nice as well. I wish that I would have caught the names of both ladies. I like to give direct kudos in my reviews. There aren't very many food options available in the area. The location is a little remote. I am very particular when it comes to hotels. I would definitely stay at this property again. KUDOS TO THE BEST WESTERN PLUS NEW ORLEANS AIRPORT FOR A GREAT STAY!!!!
We needed a room close to the airport and chose the BW. This hotel is new, about 18 mos. old. They offer a shuttle pick up from the airport, which was quick and easy. Being new, the property is in excellent condition. Check in was easy and the bed was comfortable. The room and bathroom is average. Breakfast was fine with a good offering of cold cereal and hot scrambled eggs. The staff kept the area clean and the food stocked. The coffee was not so good, weak. The pool was not used. The manager was working hard and when asked how our stay was, listened to our comments. The hotel is in an industrial area. Next door is a quik mart type store and a subway. The quik mart offers a good variety of beer, wine and snack food. We felt comfortably safe in the area. The BW offers good value as they are building their customer base. I would consider staying here again.
First room needed help, light fixtures x2 didn't work, bulbs out, not really sure what to think was kind of dark. I went with "to do" list to desk not expecting much, they put us in a suite without me asking, it rocked! Both rooms very clean. Breakfast was same every day, variety on eggs/sausage/bacon would have been nice, but there was plenty of everything. Place is perfect if you want close to airport and away from ppl for most part, less than a mile only one light away. Friendly service. If you search the internet, can find good food close by. Will stay again, no question.
The manager at this location went above and beyond to help me. I had 4 employees attempting to fly out of New Orleans in unusually cold weather and their flights were delayed several times. Sid arranged for their transportation back and forth via their transit van and taxi in early hours when their van was not in service. He also ordered pizza for them from a nearby restaurant and charged it to my credit card for me. His service was excellent!
No frills. Very clean renovated room, comfortable bed, large TV, microwave, refrigerator and coffee maker. Limited towels, and modest basic supplies of soap, shampoo and body lotion. Hall carpets appear worn and dirty, but will excuse because the hotel is still undergoing renovations. Did not have breakfast, but the area appeared well stocked for self service. Free parking. Pleasant and helpful staff, especially receptionist Kayla. No in-house restaurant or bar, but nearby fast food and a Voodo BBQ. Rather dismal isolated location, but felt safe. Recommended if you just want basic and clean accommodations with no frills.
I have stayed at a lot of hotels and the best Western is one of my favorite to stay. Always treated very good. Staffing is very good and the beds very comfortable. Good location for the training that I do for my company
Ok when writing review, you are suppose to start with the good stuff so here it is. The property is brand new so it is very clean. That is all the good stuff. The manager/ owner is very rude, he was heard on several occasions speaking very demeaning to the housekeepers. The housekeepers appear over worked, they were expected to come in and turn rooms over in 15-20min after guest checked out due to the large amount of guest in the lobby waiting to check in. I checked in to this hotel prior to cruising out and checked in upon return only because it was prepaid. Upon both check ins the room was not ready and had to wait several hours for a room along with several other guest who waited in the lobby, despite requesting an early check in both times. There was nothing offered to the guest waiting in the lobby no coffee or tea not even an apology. Just a reminder frequently from the lady behind the front desk and manger that check in is not until 3:00pm. A group of guest awaiting a room inquired about transportation to Downtown New Orleans and the manager charged them 200.00 for ten people round trip to transport them in the hotel shuttle. Are you kiding me? I could not believe he was really serious. Breakfast just skip it. Its from 6:30-9:30am every day. Powder eggs, microwaved sausage, waffles, oatmeal and grits only hot food available and both times the eggs and sausage were cold. The manager/ owner walks around while your eating breakfast constantly reminding you what time breakfast ends. The owner/ manager and his team lack customer service, money is their only priority. Will not recommend staying here. The manager/ owner needs to recognize that its more than just cleanliness that will keep people patronizing your hotel.
Nice place to rest your head for the night. If you want BBQ go to Voodoo bbq down the road. I stay at this hotel when I rotate home for my days off. It is close to the airport, I usually fly out early in the mornings. I stay so I wont have a long drive in the morning.
I was there on my last day in New Orleans...arrived at 8.15 am on the airport and requested a transfer to the hotel as that it one of the reasons why I booked the hotel. It seemed that for the man who picked us up it was a burden as he was not helpful and hardly said 2 words. He was probably called away from another job as I found out that he does other things as well. When we wanted to have breakfast, the tables were a mess...there nobody assigned to clean them and only after insisting a clean at the reception, somebody (the receptionist) came to clean it. On the other hand...the room was spacious and clean just noisy because of the thin walls. All in all an exceptable stay but the staff needs traing in customer service.
We have stayed at this BW motel several times while visiting family in Kenner, LA. You can't beat the value for your money. Rooms are clean with comfortable beds and staff helpful and friendly. We will definitely return!
Great hotel close to the airport. The hotel was clean and modern with comfortable beds. Friendly staff. Early flights beware - airport shuttle starts at 5am. We signed up for the shuttle to pick us up at 4am when we check in (around 7pm). We also requested a wake up call for 3:30. Just past midnight we got a call telling us the shuttle didn't start until 5am. I thought it was my wake up call and showered and dressed. As I was getting ready to walk out my door I checked the time... ugh a minor bump to a good stay. I will definitely stay there again.
Very nice staff, clean property, and lots of coffee! Helpful at check-in even without a reservation. Also, early-morning staff was pleasant and cheerful. Helped us to navigate the airport without incident.
We recently stayed at this hotel for 4 days for the Superbowl. I was preassigned a quiet room which I really appreciated. Our room was clean on arrival and the king suite bed was very comfortable. The maid service was not acceptable. The first day I left a tip and asked for padding for the sofa sleeper with a note. The money was taken, trash emptied, sofabed and bed were not made. The next day I asked only for the trash to be taken out and some extra towels. The final day we left the hotel and we made sure our do not disturb sign was taken off our door and two maids were still on the floor cleaning. When we returned at night the room had not been cleaned. The front desk person should have taken my word and not said you had a do not disturb sign on your door at 2 pm..or made excuses. What he had documented in his cleaning log was not true....We were in the French quarter having lunch at that time. I also was told if I left something on the bed it would not have been made. The bed was clear. When a tip is left you would think the maid would give great service as I would have tipped each day if the room was cleaned. This is not an isolated incident after reading reviews. The breakfast at this hotel was not great.
Pillows are all one type, tall and stiff. Most hotels usually have a mix, in order to accommodate different guests. Housekeeping neglects things. Previous guest's coffee grounds left in machine. Missing light bulbs, leaving a bare socket that could pose a safety hazard. Bath mat not replaced. When the in-room coffee and cups are used, these items are not replaced when room is serviced. Manager points out to guests that the breakfast is merely COMPLIMENTARY, not covered by the cost of their room and should be satisfied. Manager complains to guests that some waste food. Bread and pastry items are stale. Fruit is very over ripe and sausage tastes awful. Manager complains to guests about those that take the shampoo, after staying just a few hours. This place is adequate for a night's stay and the cost is reasonable. Just don't expect it to be a flawless visit.
I would like to say it was excellent, but...... The room was clean and the extra towels I have requested were left, but no shampoo, conditioner, lotion, soap or extra toilet paper were left either day we were there. The breakfast was plentiful, but the choices were limited. The employees we dealt with were very helpful, especially the ladies who were on duty at night. This is an industrial area, so the restaurant choices are limited, but the Voodoo Bar B W was very good. There is also a Wendy's close by. Overall, we would probably stay again.
We stayed here overnight after arriving late at the airport. We used the free shuttle service that the hotel offers and the driver was very nice and knowledgeable. We used the shuttle service back to the hotel in the morning to pick up our rental car. The hotel and room was very nice and clean. We enjoyed the basic but good continental breakfast. The hotel was within walking distance to a Voodoo BBQ place that the hotel recommended and was very good. The staff was nice and helpful. Highly recommended.
The price was good, the room was clean and had the basics. The airport shuttle service was timely and nice. The price was a good value. The only irritant, is that there is really nothing close by restaurant wise, except a subway at the gas station next door. It felt decently safe and free WiFi was very good.
I recently had this hotel room booked for two separate stays within a two week period. I booked this hotel because of its proximity to the airport and because I was (incorrectly) told that I would be able to have complimentary parking until my return back into town a little over a week later. I arrive at the hotel and quickly notice that it is an older hotel that has been remodeled. The general parking lot is small and the add-on parking is basically a gravel parking area. Upon check-in I am informed that not only is the parking NOT free like I had been told (by Hotels.com) but that it actually costs more to park my vehicle in this less-than-desirable parking area in a less-than-desirable area than it would be to park the vehicle at the airport where I was flying out. Yeah, that seems logical. As off-putting as this was, I will say that the inside of the hotel was nice and appeared clean. The room I had was also nice and appeared clean enough. However, I will NEVER stay at this particular location ever again and will not likely stay at any Best Western hotels again anytime in the near future. I had a room booked at this very same Best Western for (Wednesday) November 29, 2017 which was less than two weeks after my initial stay. Well... I was flying into New Orleans from out of the country and the flight got cancelled due to engine trouble with the plane. We were kept in limbo at the airport for hours and hours without any idea if we would be flying out or not. Eventually that same night the airline said we weren't flying out which meant I was stuck in another country for the night and therefore, would be unable to stay in my hotel room at the Best Western in Kenner. Let me also point out that this was booked as a non-refundable room and I was never expecting to get my money refunded but a courtesy credit towards another night at a Best Western would have been EXCELLENT customer service considering that it was late on a Wednesday night without any special events happening nearby to warrant a sold-out hotel for this location so I am sure they had plenty of unsold rooms available. Clearly me being stuck in another country not by my choice would have been a great opportunity for this particular hotel to try and help take away some of the burden with what had become a very stressful situation for my family. I contacted Hotels.com (a company that I LOVE doing business with!) to ask if I had any options concerning this room reservation that wouldn't be able to get used due to reasons beyond my control. The customer service agent at Hotels.com called this particular Best Western to see if they would be willing to do anything, even offer a discount or anything, for the unused hotel room that I had purchased. Best Western flat out said no, they were unwillingly to do anything at all to help with this situation. Even though their hotel was not to capacity and it would have been such a great “customer service move” on their part to try and help ease the stress and make things a tad bit easier for their customer, they opted to just do nothing and wouldn't budge and had zero intentions of trying to help with things. If Best Western needs that little bit of money to THAT extent then they should have it but it is for sure that they will not be getting any more money from me for a very long time, if ever. There are way too many other hotel chains that have nicer hotels for the same price per night or less, and who have always tried to make me feel as though I am a valued customer, not just a booking.
This is a new and very comfortable location with easy access to the airport. Desk staff was friendly and the place was very clean. Breakfast was not up to par. Food was not being replenished, had to ask the attendant for a table to be cleaned. The hot items (especially the sausage) were not good at all.
This is a relatively new hotel that I thought I was booking a suite. Not quite; it had a sleeper sofa with a most a comfortable mattress and not even a dividing wall for privacy. No sheets, bed spread or pillows left me making a trip,to the lobby. The breakfast had items that should have been hot, but they were Luke warm at best. Try eating Luke warm powdered scrambled eggs and sausage links.
Check in on our arrival they gave us a room with a very soiiled comforter, terrible breakfast. Messy dining area. Rotten bananas, eggs and sausages were half done and cold!!! Maid didn't clean our room!!!
the hotel is in the middle of nowhere, which is standard for airport hotels. Picked up from airport and they dropped me off at the Avis terminal. Free wifi, wasnt sure about dining options. Well priced
THE SERVICE, STAFF, AND THE FOOD were all QUITE EXCELLENT. THE room was very attractive and contained a bed that was very comfortable!!! The atmosphere of the hotel just spoke volumes with a cordial ambiance that is inviting, welcoming, and very warm and home like, to say the least! It is a rare combination of character traits to find at one locale when referring to a hotel, but the BEST WESTERN PLUS NEW ORLEANS AIRPORT HOTEL, KENNER LA possesses such traits as these already mentioned and so many more.
Arrived at 11pm and was checked in quickly by a friendly and courteous lady at front desk. She even grabbed me a cup of coffee whilst I was checking in. Organised a grab bag for breakfast as I was departing early next morning. She couldn't have been more helpful, booked early morning call which was bang on time. Room was comfortable and clean, all in all a first class place to stay if you need to be close to the Airport!!! Thank you for great service! I shall return!!
Everyone, from pick-up shuttle driver to drop off back at airport; front desk, dining room, housekeeping, were friendly and helpful. Room was clean, comfortable, and quiet. Friendly atmosphere 'rubbed off' on guests.
We stayed in this hotel when hurricane Nate was coming through town. The staff was very helpful and accommodating. It was not close to town, but if you want to be near the airport this is a vine location.
Good sleep, park car for $8 day, shuttle to and from airport by BW. Breakfast was good with cooked eggs, meat, waffles, juice, and coffee. Fruit and yogurt was a bit sparse but still good. Very friendly.
From the moment I stepped into the lobby, I knew that this was a place that is much more than above average and I secretly relished the fact that money wise, I had found quite the STEAL. This place has a business center, excellent breakfast offerings, clean, updated rooms, impeccable and personable staff, and more. Highly recommend!
We had a late checked in, 2 double bed rooms for 5 adults and 2 children. Hotel front desk and staff were very friendly and helpful. Its a nice newer hotel near the airport so location was excellent. Convenience store/gas station and a subway right next door to hotel open 24hrs. Hotel does provide free breakfast which was good for the kids. There's a swimming pool that my grandsons enjoyed everyday during our stay. Beds were very comfortable, A/C worked great, only con was the water pressure in the shower was weak and the tub is slippery so needs to have a rubber mat. Overall 5 night stay was well worth the cost and I would definitely stay there again.
First time at this location and I was quite impressed with its proximity to MSY, comfortability and value. Mid-evening arrival due to flight time, this location is only a couple of miles from the airfield. My room was clesn, comfortable and quiet...well at least until the train horn went off shortly after 6am, which was okay in my case as I woke up shortly before that. Even though the location is between a truck stop and the railroad, it was overall quiet here. I'm sure better real estate close to a major airport is hard to come by. The finish of the hotel is new and seemed well taken care of. There are at least a few places to eat at close by. I'd recommend this location based on this stay and consider it again in the future.
This hotel is relatively new, close to the airport. Bed was great, I was surprised but didn't hear any airport noise. It is a basic hotel, nothing fancy or extra. No restaurant close for dining. Breakfast included.
Needed a place to stay as we evacuated during Hurricane Nate. Hotel location was important to us as well as suites. Even though we arrived early and our rooms were not ready, the front desk clerk was awesome in making sure we were comfortable until our rooms were ready. Can't say the same for the tall gentlemen who was the manager I guess. Breakfast selection was disappointing, not tasty with cold and hard pastries.
Awesome customer service and so convenient to the airport with a very reliable free shuttle service. Kayla was the front desk person who was very friendly checking us in for the night. When we told her that we had an early morning flight and needed to be at the airport at 4:30 am she told us that she could arrange for the driver (who usually starts at 5:00 am) to take us at 4:30. She prepared a grab to go bag for breakfast that we picked up the next morning. Tina was the staff person in the early morning and was pleasant to talk with as we easily checked out and waited for our ride. This hotel staff is one of the most accommodating and friendly we have experienced. The hotel rooms are clean and we loved the larger than average rooms.
Clean, well maintained hotel near the airport. Felt very safe with its well lit parking lot and the whole building was key card secured after dark. Staff was friendly and always available at the 24 hour front desk. Room was very clean and the beds were comfortable. Would stay again.
When I come back to N.O. I will definitely stay with you. To some degree a hotel room is a commodity. What makes the difference is how you are made to feel when you stay there. Your staff made me feel special and I am grateful.
Laeeq, Kayla, Raquelle and Tina were a big help to all of us who stayed there as a "overflow" hotel for a convention we attended. I don't know what we would have done without them, shuttling us back and forth when it was really not their job to do so. We let them know how much we appreciated them. These were dedicate and caring employees for sure.
The Best Western Airport hotel is a clean, well-kept establishment one can use as a base of operations when in the great city of New Orleans. Only 5 minutes from the Louis Armstrong International Airport and easily accessible to the other areas of the city, this hotel is a pleasure to stay at.
Clean, Well Maintained, Good Free Breakfast, Super Staff, Great Beds and Pillows. This is a great alternative to paying 3X as much to stay in the French Quarter. Drive the 15-20 min and enjoy spending the saved $$$ in the great restaurants or at one of the casinos :-)
This is a new location. The decor very warm. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Shuttle service to NOLA airport very convenient. Only draw-back is that restaurant options very limited..Subway and Waffle House in walking distance if you don't have a car.
I recommend this hotel to anyone who is in the area. The location is very close to the airport and airport shuttle is provided. Pool and breakfast are provided. The staff is very friendly and willing to help meet all of your needs.
This is the second time I need to spend a night close to NOLA Airport, and I really liked this hotel. They were very kind and the hotel is very comfortable. There is nothing at a walking reach, but I was able to get dinner in a great place due to the courtesy transportation to the surroundings.
Close to the airport, very nice, downside is not a lot of food choices in that area. I loved my stay at this establishment, but the breakfast choices need to be more of a variety. Every one of the amenities they provide are nice and clean. The beds are great. The staff was very friendly.
If you are looking for southern hospitality, the staff at this location meets the mark ! ! Toshiba Taylor made my stay comfortable, that I would recommend this property to everyone staying at the New Orleans Airport.
I needed a place to stay for the night because I was picking up a friend from the airport. This hotel had airport shuttle service so in the morning I didn't have to find a parking spot at the airport and once my friend landed, they were able to pick me up and it was a breeze.
This hotel has been opened less than one year. My wife and I have now stayed there twice. It is very clean. Everything was in working order. Staff personnel were friendly and helpful. The room was plenty quiet and the bed comfortable. Breakfast was very good. This facility is totally non-smoking and (I think) pet-free.
Beautiful, up to date room. clean as clean gets. staff was always smiling.I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is staying in the area. Easy to find location. Microwave and refrigerator in room was very nice.
We were searching for a GOOD hotel near the airport and we found the perfectone! The hotel is almost brand new! Room was comfy, bed was good, but Ive had better ones. It was really clean. Everything was working perfectly. The staff is really helpful. Breakfast is better than other places with bf included, thats a plus!
This Best Western is a new building conveniently located near the Louis Armstrong Airport (New Orleans). It is an affordable alternative to the more expensive options downtown. Breakfast, which is included, was a full, hot meal including eggs, sausage and waffles. For my business trip, it was ideal.
The hotel is new, very clean, wonderful comfortable bed. Excellent bathrooms, good internet service. A distance way from any eating establishments. Forget order for delivery - very expensive and a distance way as well. Parking is good. Front desk staff the day I checked - not so good.
I stayed one night to catch an obnoxiously early flight so I was looking for proximity to the airport. The room was clean and comfortable, staff was courteous. For my needs on this particular trip, this location was perfect (price, location, quality), but I would want to be a bit closer to the city for a proper visit and I would expect to pay more for that.
This hotel was a clean, quiet comfortable place. It was nice to get a goid nights rest before continuing on with my journey with my family. The breakfast was a nice addition to a good night's rest. I would definitely visit here again.
My family stayed in 4 rooms at The Best Western Plus on Airline for a family anniversary party. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. The morning we had breakfast was my Mom's 84 Birthday. We celebrated with a cake and the breakfast host went out of her way to assist us with making it a special time for all of us. I would recommend this hotel and will return if ever in the area again.
Very clean. Comfortable. Close to the airport. Very welcoming staff. We spend a weekend and the experience was very pleasant. We really recommend this hotel. The housekeeping staff very helpful and polite.
We chose this hotel because we often stay at Best Westerns and like the quality of their chain. It is only a mile from the New Orleans, LA airport. They do offer long term parking for about $8/day and a shuttle ride to and from the airport. The hotel is clean and the staff friendly. We left too early to get breakfast so can't comment on that. But, it does come with your stay. Would definitely recommend for flights out of N.O.
We visited NOLA to see family and stayed 4 nights at the Best Western. The room was clean when we checked in, but was never cleaned during our stay. The desk staff was pleasant, but the situation was never resolved. Would not recommend it for multiple nights.
Close to the airport, we stayed here one night before having to fly out the next day. The room was clean and surprisingly quiet. We had to leave before breakfast, it starts at 6:30. We would definitely stay here again.
Very nice and clean room. The evening check-in women were awesome very helpful and willing to even drive you somewhere within there travel miles. Even after a bad meal out they greeted us with a smile and willing to help us.
Excellent room: clean, very comfortable bed (4 **** star bed), great amenities (microwave, etc). Awesome Breakfast: Highlight - make your own waffles, sausage, eggs, oatmeal, grits, sorted breads, bagels, muffins, cereal, etc.
Was an overnight stop. View wasn't great from the room but we weren't there for the view. Room was clean, towels a little moved around and toilet paper was not in. Had to put it myself. Breakfast was typical Best Western.
The room was spacious, clean and everything was in working order. The treadmill in the fitness center allowed me to get my training miles it. Breakfast was good enough to get us going. Pool was small but clean.
Clean, not a bad price, but very unmemorable. The breakfast is poor. Unattended, dried out eggs, sloppy and messy waffle making area, and very limited to no fruit selection. OK if you need a clean place to get sleep for a night, but little else.
Best vacation ever, stayed at my favorite place Best Western Plus. Met my family here before our trip to Jamaica. Great Way to relax before our seven day cruise. Clean and comfortable and the staff was nice and helpful.
I had to stay an extra night in NOLA before my plane took off. This hotel is nice and comfortable. Breakfast is ok. No other restaurants around the area so I felt it a little secluded. Airport shuttle was on time and friendly.
What can you say about an airport hotel? This one is clean, very close to the airport, has an airport shuttle available, good sized rooms but for the rest has no soul. But it does the job. The surroundings are a bit depressing but you will have a good night's rest. A downside is a lackluster breakfast. Come on, in this day and age, with a little effort you can put a decent meal on the table. And the paper plates? Come on.
We had an early morning flight and chose to stay here because of the proximity to the airport. They also offered a shuttle service to the airport, while leaving our vehicle at the hotel during our trip. Cost to park is $8 per day. Well worth the price, so we did not have to find a parking space and then walk to the check in area of the airport at 5 in the morning.
We stayed 1 night. Check in was quick and as reserved. The bed was comfortable. There were hairs behind the sink. Beer and hair in the refrigerator. Otherwise the room was clean. Parking is free but very full lot. We parked in the gravel lot beside the hotel. Breakfast was average.
This hotel is not far from the airport or the cruise port. The hotel offers shuttle service to the cruise port and airport if needed. There is no shopping near by, you will have to go to the city for that. Rooms were clean and quiet. Great stay!
It was a decent hotel, nothing fancy or special. There were little annoying gaps in service, like our hairdryer being broken and the cable not being hooked up to the tv. Yet, overall, it was clean, comfortable and convenient to the airport.
The room was nice enough. The beds were comfortable. Cheap enough fare to the airport. However, the latch lock on the door seemed very flimsy, as it was attached to the aluminum frame of the doorway. Not that you should have to use it, just something I noticed. All in all, nice enough stay.
We stayed 7/3/17 to 7/5/17 on a trip to visit relatives that stay close by. We had no issues whatsoever, hotel was very clean, room was up to date (relatively new hotel). Our king size was very comfy and the toilet paper was good quality (hey, that's an important but overlooked commodity lol). Continental breakfast was pretty much what you'd expect. We plan on making annual trips to Kenner, and unless we stay with family or I decide to test a more luxurious brand (on a good deal), this will be our hotel of choice.
Amazing and clean accommodations along with the best beds I've slept on in years! What makes this hotel fantastic is its staff. I think Sid (front desk) and Laeeq (shuttle driver) must live at the hotel! They not only delivered what was promised, but they anticipated our needs. THAT is amazing! Very clean and quiet rooms. Our housekeeper, LIsa, was also great. Free breakfast is included in the rate which makes this hotel's VALUE unbelievable. There were all types of guests - people leaving on cruises, a wedding party, etc., There is no reason you shouldn't stay here. A HUGE THANK YOU!
The hotel is in excellent condition and well maintained the front reception staff especially Sid was excellent. The room was mostly up-to-date but the internet was pretty slow. My only real complaint was at breakfast the lady who put it out that day was not very Timely. Breakfast is supposed to start at 6:30 which in most Hotels means that it's 6:30 everything is out and presented and ready to go. That was not the case here. The only reason why I bring this up is that sometimes customers have business, work and or have to catch an airline and if breakfast is presented on time it would make it a lot easier to be able to have something to eat before you continue with your day. Aside from the breakfast issue everything else was pretty good the room was quiet, well-lit at night and Safe. it seems to be in the more industrial area but very close to the airport which makes it convenient to getting to the airport.
The staff were very polite during my stay. The room was very neat and had all accommodations (mini fridge, desk, ironing board and iron). The bathroom was spotless clean and tidy with proper amount of towels. They had shuttle to the airport. Would recommend.
- We stayed here 05/15/17 - 05/21/17 for the Army Security Agency World Wide Direction Finders Conference. On entering the room we found the ice bucket had not been dumped, the coffee maker had the previous renters coffee pouch in the machine. No bath mat - tub was slick. Tuesday morning breakfast found the eggs over cooked - the brown crust was a clue. All of these items and several more were reported to the front desk in writing. On returning late Tuesday afternoon we found the ice bucket not dumped, coffee still in the machine and coffee service not replenished. The day manager was there - Sid - and he was concerned and personally brought coffee refills etc. It became obvious that there were problems with the maid staff on the second floor - poor training, lack of supervision, low expectations. All of the staff were pleasant and said the right things but you have to execute on the details not just talk about them. The eggs were over cooked every day we were there - crust and all. Others in our group of about 40 had similar problems off and on during the week. I believe the owners/management are indeed experienced but at the lower end of market where the clientele's expectations are low. At a BW Plus I have higher expectations. Would I stay here again? Yes the property is new, clean and fairly accessible to NOLA, the Airport and the Interstate so I would give them another chance. Note that food choices are fairly limited.
Nice, modern hotel. Surrounding area is somewhat industrial and not very attractive. However hotel was clean, safe, very close to airport and reasonably priced. Airport rental car return is literally 2 minutes away.
This hotel featured spacious rooms with comfortable beds. It was spotlessly clean. The breakfast was basic, but good and there was a nice small pool. No whirlpool though. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. There was a nice fitness center. The shuttle to the airport was very useful. My only complaint was that it was an industrial area and there was some noise from a train.
We stayed at the hotel because we were flying out very early the next day. We would definitely stay there again the next time we are in the New Orleans area. The room was clean, everything was in great repair, and the decor was very attractive. The front desk staff chatted with me about a bad experience I'd had at the airport, and by the time the paperwork was done, I was relaxed and smiling. Everyone went out of their way to see that we enjoyed our stay, and we really appreciate it.
Room was nice, breakfast was good, Some minor, but annoying issues. Tissue box had only one piece in it and no spare. TV Closed Caption would not work. If I find I need a place to stay near the airport, I would stay there again.
Staff put me on hold twice. check in took 45 minutes - people were waiting in the lobby before me then the top blanket was so wrinkled ! oh and the view out of my window was a rusted metal fence I hope the hotel hires a few additional people so customer service improves
Sometimes you find a great hotel at a great price in a convenient location. This hotel was exactly what we needed the night before our flight out of MSY. Clean, quiet, comfortable. The breakfast was just what we needed before our trip.
Overall this is a great hotel to stay at that is very close to the airport. The breakfast was not that good. If you are looking to be close to the downtown or happening area of New Orleans this is not the place this place is convenient for people looking for a close hotel near the airport.
The shuttle to the airport didn't arrive on time so I missed my flight. The shuttle driver did not care that because they were late I needed them to hurry and get me to the airport. The driver was rude and the front desk clerk was not helpful.
This hotel was not only convenient but we were also greeted with several professional staff members and the atmosphere was very welcoming. The gentleman who drove the shuttle to the airport was efficient and very helpful with information. He was also very positive. We were always met with a smile from the front desk staff and housekeepers. The rooms were extremely comfortable and welcoming. We will definitely choose this facility again if we fly to New Orleans and need to stay overnight.
$75/night rate (Go Orbits and Best Western)! Also, not only was the king bed perfect in firmness and comfort, but the other chairs in the room were pleasantly comfi as well. Additionally, after closing the curtains for the night, there was very little light emonating from that area, so I had a great night's sleep. My sleep was also aided by a very quiet night, both outside and within the hotel's halls. As you probably know, hotels located near airports are not known for their quiet atmosphere due to heavy airport traffic, but the traffic from this hotel's position was much quieter than I expected. my enjoyable night was also aided by a very high-quality, relatively quiet air-conditioner. Probably my most enjoyable amenity was the speedy wi-fi service. Again, for a rate this low, I did not expect such good connectivity with no dropped connections. Further, though I didn't use them, tthe room was equipped with a fridge and microwave. There is also a complimentary breakfast offered, and I found the breakfast to be tasty and filling as there were eggs, sausage, fruit, and oat meal. So, I encourage all who will use the NO airport and need to grab a spot for the night, you'll be duely pleased if you choose to stay at this fine and affordable establishment..
Will recommend this hotel. Will be staying here again. Ms Tina was very nice and courteous. Willing to help with any needs, for us and all guest. Thank You Ms Tina very pleased with service. I'v seen where all the staff was polite. The room attendants were as well. Breakfast was a little on the off side, was not filled enough, things were empty
The hotel was very nice, internet worked well, and the staff was great. Breakfast can be better prepared. It seemed like the person cooking rushed it. I would recommend anyone to stay here for the rooms and high-speed internet.
Personnel are very friendly and helpful. Beds are comfy. Room was clean and organized. Nice thick towels. Location is near the airport but not noisy. Good "free" breakfast with a variety of items. The hotel offered shuttle service to the airport and to restaurants within a certain distance.
We have stayed in 25+ Best Western Inns across the southern states over the last 2 decades. I think this is by far the cleanest one yet. The staff was friendly and actively involved in maintaining the appearance of the environment. Even the manager was in on the action. I did not hear one airplane from my 2nd floor room even though we are next to the airport. We did hear one evening train but not after we want to bed. It is super easy to get to the highway and then to the French Quarter. When you go to New Orleans, stay here!
This was the first time we stayed at a Best Western hotel and we LOVED it! The staff was very helpful, friendly and professional. Having the breakfast provided was a plus and we look forward to using Best Western AGAIN!
Check in was OK, came in at 3 and didn't have bedding for sofa bed and not enough towels after a couple of calls items were brought. Free breakfast (waffles, cereal, fruit, pastries), free parking. Atm in facility. Easy to get to. Would stay again.
We stayed here while visiting New Orleans on vacation with our bus group. The hotel was new, clean and a very nice place to stay. The rooms were clean, and had a decent amount of room in them. There was a pool outside and nice pool area. They did offer shuttle service for groups . The airport is extremely close if you are flying and you can leave your car there according to a sign in the lobby. The continental breakfast offered a variety of food - hot and cold. The breakfast hostess Stacie was helpful, worked hard and was very pleasant. The beds are firm and high so be careful getting in and out of them. { the hotel staff got my aunt a stool to use} There is a 24 hour convenience store next door. I would stay here again if I didn't want to stay in New Orleans .
This motel was very clean and updated. Easy off and on freeway. Lobby was awesome and beautifully decorated. I would recommend this motel to,anyone. If flying out of New Orleans, they offer park and fly.
It takes a lot for me to rate a hotel with a 1 rating, but the management of this hotel was very poor. I booked my hotel online through the hotel's website. I went to the hotel the following day to check in. The young girl at the desk told me she could not find my reservation. I showed her my confirmation email and she showed me that it was booked for the previous night. I understand that this may seem like my fault, BUT she said "Oh, you're like the 5th person that has had this happen to them! Think it may be a glitch in the system. You have to call our cooperate office to see what they can do." So I call the corporate number as I pace the lobby. The corporate office tells me that the manager of the hotel should be able to easily transfer the night over considering that I did not check in or out. I returned to the desk and told the girl what the office said to which she replied "Are you serious? They always do that! I need to call my manager." The girl goes to the back and relays the info to her manager on the phone. She comes back to the frond desk and says (and I quote) "My manager says there is nothing he can do, because the system automatically checked you in and out. And you just have to let it go and purchase another room for tonight." When I asked if I could speak to the manager, she said, "Ma'am, let it go." It is not about the money for me. It is about how the situation was handled. Needless to say, I went to another hotel that night.
We stayed 5 nights. The staff was very courteous and helpful at all times. The room was clean and the bed very comfy. I was not happy with the egg and sausage product that was served each morning, but the waffles were good. We would consider staying here again.
It was nice to stay in a new hotel. Quite Room, nice beds and a good breakfast. Staff was very helpful, with quick check -in and check out. There is a Subway right next door for a quick meal, especially if arriving late. Hotels is just minutes from the airport and very near plantation road for ease of visiting several of the beautiful plantations. Would stay here again.
nice ,clean and quiet. very close to airport. subway sandwich shop right next door for eats or gas station store for snacks. also little casino next door for gamblers. shuttle was prompt and on time need to have phone number handy to call for pickup from airport.
This was a new hotel very near the airport with easy access to the Interstate. It was comfortable and clean and very reasonably priced. The night time staff went out of their way to be helpful. the day time staff could have used a little more training. But all in all, no serious complaints.
While I can't say much for the location of this hotel (near the airport but not much else), I can say that the hotel itself is a bit of a diamond in the rough. The lobby, hallways, and our room were impeccably clean. Our beds were comfortable, and the price was pretty great for families traveling on a budget. The one area where this hotel stands out above the rest is in service. Every single person that I interacted with at the front desk was friendly and helpful. This is definitely not what I have experienced in other chain hotels. I especially want to commend Kayla, who went above and beyond to help me when Expedia completely dropped the ball and lost my reservation, then tried to make me move to a different hotel even though I had prepaid for this one weeks earlier. She got on the phone with Expedia and handled everything for me, going way above and beyond what she should have had to do for a guest at check in. Every time I saw her later that weekend, she greeted us and was just so sweet and chatty. I can not say enough about how impressed I am with this lady. The day after I arrived home, I realized I had left several of my kids' outfits hanging in the hotel room. I called Best Western, and got Kayla again. She not only found the missing clothes, but offered to mail them to me on her own time! I travel to New Orleans several times a year, and I will probably stay at this Best Western every time now. It is not in the best location for me, but I do feel like superior customer service makes this hotel worth returning to. Thank you, Kayla! I will not soon forget your kindness.
Nice hotel stay before very early flight home. Chose this hotel due to 24 hour shuttle service. During check in was told it was not available. Check in clerk was able to have another shuttle pick us up. Staff was great. Beds very comfortable, even got a breakfast bag to go. Close to airport, quiet rooms, reasonable prices.
It is so close to the airport, they will provide a free shuttle and a little lunch baggy with a breakfast of your choosing. There's not much in the area, but if you need a place to crash right before your flight I highly, highly, recommend it.
Manager was not available at times and staff could not solve issues . Staff was outside smoking and then they were bashing each other. Reservation was changed by a staff and it made me be charged double
Got in late on a Sunday night, nice hotel to stay at prior to going into New Orleans for the week. Hotel fairly new so all things seem to be in good shape. Had an adequate complimentary breakfast to start the day. Check in and check out was quick.
On a great place to stay and be able to park your car as you go on your trip this is the place. Not only do they have great rooms and a breakfast but you can park your car for $7 and get a shuttle over to the airport great staff to help you along the way excellent rooms
This hotel was like the tale of two cities. We checked in when our flight arrived late at night and then we stayed at the property again the night before our flight out. The property: I have absolutely nothing negative to say about the property. The hotel is brand new, everything in the hotel is brand new, everything works just fine and everything we needed for our short stay was in our room. It is in an industrial area, so except for an occasional train whistle, it is very quiet. The room was also very quiet and the beds very comfortable. Breakfast was great and the wifi was very strong. This hotel is five minutes from the terminal and was an extraordinary value for the money. I searched all hotels in the area and this one was very reasonable. The staff: This is where it gets crazy. The first night, everything was great. Shuttle was quick picking us up at the terminal. We were greeted warmly and the check-in process was fast. From terminal to room was probably 20 minutes. Then there was the return trip. There were two people working the front desk and only one customer ahead of me. For whatever reason, we waited 20 minutes to check-in. The one front desk employee was on the phone the entire time standing at the desk (have no idea who she was talking to). The other employee was checking in a guest, but she deviated from the check-in process to assist with a bunch of other issues and listen to her life story. I finally got waited on and instead of taking care of me right away (having waited so long), the front desk person starts dealing with phone calls and other issues. Meanwhile, the other desk person is still talking on the phone. So I mention that I need to take my rental car back to the terminal and I needed a ride back. I get to the terminal and then I call the hotel to ask them to pick me up. Three times, they picked up the phone and put me on hold without saying anything. I waited 5 -10 minutes on hold and would just call back to be placed on hold again. So my issue is that you answered calls while waiting on me at the desk, but when I call, you put me on hold. Bottom line, answer the phone for 20 seconds so I can let you know I need a ride and you can get the van rolling. The shuttle drivers were excellent. All of them were prompt, very nice and hospitable. Overall, I would stay there again and recommend this property, but the 3-11 crew may need some additional training.
We had booked a cruise out of New Orleans and I had never been there so we came a week early to visit the sites. The hotel made us feel very much at home. It is New and very clean. I was concerned about getting to and from the port and the manager reassured us their bus would transport us for a small fee. They did deliver us to our ship making our trip worry free. We had the breakfast everyday and they had a great selection. They have a very nice pool and tables where we sat and enjoyed the evenings. They also suggested places to visit while we were there. We will definitely stay there again when visiting New Orleans. I have to say that the manager was very hard working guy. We owned our own business and would loved to have had him as an employee.
Hotel was clean and a good location to everything. 12 miles from French quarter. Not a bad drive at all. Staff was nice and pleasant. Pool was clean. Rooms were clean. Parking is free and there is a shuttle but we didn't use it.
Brand new hotel in the industrial area just down the street from the airport. Clearly a place to stay before or after a flight. Nicely decorated. Room was large and very nice. Did I mention it is new? Only problem was that we had an early Saturday morning flight and the hotel shuttle was screwed up. We made a "reservation" the night before, but apparently the clerk did not know what she was doing regarding not only our need to get to the airport, but for others as well.
If you need a clean airport hotel, this one is great. Not fancy, but everything looks and smells new. Staff is friendly and helpful. It's perfect for an early morning flight-just grab your breakfast and go.
Sheets had not been changed in 4 rooms at the least. Light by bed did not work. I was charged twice for the room. The lady that cleaned our room was clearly leaving dirty sheets on beds. We were taken to 4 rooms before we found clean sheets. And, I still had to request a clean top sheet for bed! Girl (Kayla) was very helpful and took pictures of the beds w dirty sheets.
Great hotel to stay for a short trip. I was in New Orleans for business and choose to stay here. Rooms were very clean, front desk welcomed me and was very friendly. All of the hotel staff I encountered actually was very friendly. It was an amazing experience. The only problem, I received an unrequested wake up call from the hotel at 4am. Aside from that it was very easy to rest and relax in my room.
Great place to stay before or after a trip. Easy access to MSY airport. Quiet, clean and easy to use. Will certainly use this facility again. Rooms are surprisingly very quiet although a few blocks from busy airport.
Flew in late the night before we left for a cruise the next day. Stayed here because of the good reviews. Rooms were very clean, beds super comfy, breakfast was very good. They also offered a shuttle bus service for $15 a person that took us to the cruise terminal. Only complaint-they do not offer any airport shuttle service, since they are so close it would be nice if they did.
