Resumen de la reserva
The staff was friendly. Our room was clean, comfortable, and quiet . Breakfast was delicious with lots of food choices. We would stay here again.
Highly recommend this hotel as a place to rest your head. Hot breakfast is delicious, rooms are clean, pool was great, and Jeanie simply goes above and beyond to make your stay great. Breakfast was always hot with a good variety. If you're a waffle fan, they are delicious. Rooms were spotless and the pool was immaculate. Thanks Jeanie for a wonderful stay! Easily the best stay in 100 miles radius. We originally planned to be here 3rd through the 4th during our move from California to Pennsylvania. Our truck unfortunately broke down, so we were stuck until the 8th. Not easy with 3 kids and 2 dogs. They were more than accommodating of our situation. The staff were friendly and helpful. But Jeanie made us feel right at home. By the end of our stay, the kids couldn't wait to get up in the morning and see her. Now days, you just don't get customer service the was she serves it up. If you are in the Jacksonville area and need to rest your head, this is your place to be.
The room had garbage under the bed and a terrible musty smell. The bathroom door was also kind of broken as it would not shut tight. There was only one woman running the place and she was there from check in until we checked out. They clearly do not have enough staff and she was overwhelmed.
Our room had a horrible mildew smell to it. The coffee was empty at 7AM when we went down for breakfast. The pool was nice an well maintained.
Off the Interstate - near shopping and restaurants. Quiet, clean and comfortable. Very good breakfast. Wanted to use the pool - but thunderstorms in the area. In the morning I forgot a little card in the room - it was insignificant - but I received a call from Management that they found it while cleaning the room. I told them to "pitch it" - but very impressed that I received the call!
I have never had a better experience anywhere in the country. Jeanie makes sure every need is met beyond all expectations. Clean, quiet, comfortable. Best Breakfast in town. Check it out the next time you are in central Illinois.
High quality hotel at very affordable rate. Very friendly and competent staff. Room was very clean. Appointments like a more expensive hotel. I noticed bathroom door was nice wood and not cheap. Highly recommend.
The staff is available and very helpful. I was able to check in early. Breakfast is good quality and restocked when items are low. The rooms are clean and provide larger soaps to decrease the need to restock for multiple day stays.
Room was clean and fresh. Room was made up, cleaned and restocked daily. Staff was very friendly. Hot breakfast was good. Biscuits, gravy, eggs, sausage, waffles, juices... Stay here if you're on this side of Jacksonville.
This is much better than my Super 8 experience. A fitness room, an indoor pool, and a full hot breakfast at a similar price. I will be booking more stays and building up points in the rewards program and they don't expire.
The front desk clerk was absolutely amazing . She went above and beyond during our stay. We will certainly return to Best Western. Rooms were clean and nice , pool was well accommodating. But it was the awesome attention to detail provided by the front desk clerk that did it for us .
stayed one night at this hotel, sparkely clean room and a superior bed and pillows. i enjoyed the selection ad hotness of the breakfast in the morning the service staff was helpful and friendly. the indoor pool was inviting and a nice addition.
Close to everything and one of only places with a pool. Only real drawback was not enough places delivered dinner had to go back out. But a nice place to stay and we always use this hotel when we come down to visit family. Their booking and check in process online was very convenient.
A great place to stay while working in Jacksonville. Very clean due to hard working staff. Plenty of breakfast items to choose from. I enjoyed the quiet and slept well during the day (night worker). Everyone was so nice and helpful. A much appreciated experience.
It was a pleasure to stay in this hotel, I feel comfortable and safe. The beds were comfy I sleep the whole night and rested, the restroom was clean the breakfast was so good and the area was very clean and neat.
Ac unit was loud. Rattling all night . I would have shut it off earlier but they dont turn them on like everyone used to, so the room was musty when we arrived. My stay cost me a total 140.00. Breakfast was good but bland. Parking with a trailer is almost impossible. We got super luck that 4 spots were open.
Great stay! Clerk at check-in was great and friendly, made me feel at home. Room was excellent, even appeared to have brand new sheets on the bed. My only complaint would be the lack of USB charging ports for charging devices. Had to go to the store to buy a outlet charger (only had my car charger & cable with me). Most hotels provide this option now. Breakfast was my only disappointment. Eggs were bland, sausage was way too greasy, the orange juice / apple juice machine was broken (and did not offer an alternative). I will stay again!
I've stayed at this property 3x. Each time it gets worse. There's a lady who's worked there for a couple of years and she is wonderful. There is another guy, who oddly is the son of the 2 housekeepers, and it is obvious he does not like his job. The hotel was renovated a few years ago and then it's been allowed to deteriorate. The advertised "juice bar" was an orange and apple juice machine. Long black hair on the shower curtain when I arrived.
Jeannie was absolutely wonderful as usual. She is such an asset to this hotel. Excellent guest service, clean room and the pool was a little chilly but clean. We had a great time! I'm positive we will be returning in the near future for a little staycation!
Quiet. Comfortable bed. TV worked well. Carpet in room a bit work, but clean! Very impressed with the breakfast - they have a daily menu. So if you are staying a few days - you have a different breakfast daily!
Hotel was very clean and has an elevator(great). Breakfast was served starting at 5:30 a.m. and was Awesome.. A Large variety of food and hot food; which was well stocked by attendant. We didn't hear any other room noise which made our stay peaceful.
When we walked into our room we were met with a foul odor of cigarettes and pee, and to make matters worse we saw cockroaches around the TV and microwave! For the price I paid, I expected some cleanliness.
We found this to be a very clean and comfortable Inn. We could not believe how clean everything was, including the Inn itself and the grounds; clear of clutter and trash. We like that the Inn was small and was very quiet. Beautiful indoor pool was a hit. Great place and value. Also, the mattresses were to die for; soft and comfortable. Best I have experienced.
This is the cleanest hotel I've been in and the staff was totally awesome. Was really a nice surprise. It's close to everything and in the middle of the city yet it was quiet. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting or passing through Jacksonville Illinois area.
We arrived early evening after making reservations, check in was a breeze. Hotel is very clean, nice pool area and our room was tidy and clean. In the area are shopping and some fast food and sit down restaurants. Good value for our room, we will definitely stay here again when back this way.
Clean rooms and comfortable beds . The staff is always very friendly and helpful. Pool area is very clean , restroom is right there easily accessible. Buns are full with clean towels. The grandkids love the pool. Located right in Morton very close to restaurants and basic shopping .
I knew some fellow co workers that were staying here so I decided to try it. I was impressed by the service that was given by the staff. My room was clean, the bed was comfortable and the blackout curtains allowed me to sleep during the day. The breakfast was fresh and it is served until 9:30, important for someone who works nights to be able to come in and not feel rushed. Even though I did not use it, they have a nice indoor pool that is heated.
We stayed for 6 nights visiting family in the area for the holidays. The hotel was clean and comfortable and the breakfast always had 3-4 hot items every morning. Everyone we encountered was friendly. All in all, it was one of the nicest rooms for the price we have every stayed in.
There are other hotels that would be a better stay in the Jacksonville area. The breakfast options lack and the service is inconsistent. The room itself was ok - we did have a bug in the room but sometimes that can happen.
The Best Western in Jacksonville was a great place for my friends and I to stay while deer hunting in the area. The hotel facility was great and the beds were very comfortable. The hotel provided and early breakfast.
I am retired , male . I've worked without vacations all my life. Now, I get up and just go - where ? - across the USA. No planned stops. I do not reserve ahead cos I do not know where I'll end up at days end. Best Western is my main overnight stop.
This Best Western offers a great value for what it offers: clean rooms, comfortable beds, a table for eating and paperwork, TV, microwave, wifi, swimming pool, exercise room, a simple yet sufficient breakfast, professional service, and all for a great price!
This Best Western is a personal favorite, my son goes to school out there so we frequently visit, move in day, fall/winter visit, bday visit, spring visit, move out day. We have tried other hotels in the area, but price as well as friendly staff this is the best place to stay. The staff is wonderful, friendly, attentive, etc. when not Covid time the breakfast is very well laid out. I highly recommend this hotel, you won't be sorry.
Stayed at the hotel because of the baseball tournament and team manager arranged for the stay. pool is small, rooms are small, breakfast food was non-existent. Found out BW is owned and operated by independent owner. Next time, i am staying at other hotels.
When I booked on line I did not realized the rooms have outside entry. The price was ok. We needed to have pet friendly room. The rooms are clean and adequately furnished. The neighborhood is not good. We saw several men just kinda hanging around the building. We did see police come in parking lot of hotel next door and question this one guy. The outside grass borders are full of either human or pet poop. This hotel parking lot had someones shorts in the parking lot with poop in it. If my card had not been charged I would have gone somewhere else. Staff was not friendly very unwelcoming.
Room absolutely smelled like old cigarette smoke although I had to sign a waiver for no smoking in the room. Had to immediately go to the store to buy air freshener & febreze to tolerate our room. Waited 10 mins to even be acknowledged at check in, and no one was in sight to check out. Very poor customer service & rooms.
This hotel was along our route back to Indiana, on a cold night. The check in was seamless, the lady at the front desk was super nice, I'm sorry I can't remember her name. Room was spacious and clean. I would definitely stay again.
Hotel overall was clean, comfortable and for the most part quiet. The breakfast was very poor, the waffle iron was dirty and disgusting. The front desk person apologized for the breakfast and tried to clean the waffle maker. She did say covid 19 was the cause for not having a full line for breakfast eggs, sausage etc,,,
I selected this hotel for stay because of the location. All what you need from resturants and stores are within 5 minutes from the hotel location. Rooms are clean. Staff are great!! Management are great.
So, moved here to avoid construction at another hotel. Rowdy people drinking and talking loudly, throwing cups at each other in dining area, carrying on loud conversations in halls and outside windows but not shushed or challenged by hotel management. Yelling at kids, all this after 11 pm. So if you work, and need to a quiet place to stay look elsewhere. Otherwise nice rooms and pool. Food was good.
We stayed in January 2020 during a very cold weekend. The hotel was clean and had a nice pool The staff was nice and helpful. Breakfast was good. If i go back to Jacksonville, I would stayat this hotel again.
Hotel is off Int. 72 - by the shopping district of Jacksonville. Small in size - convenient for parking close to your room. Rooms are average - very clean and quiet. TV has many stations and premium channels too. Breakfast was goo. Used the pool and whirlpool - satisfactory.
Had bugs and was not clean in behind beds and around them. Dust ruffle was full of hair, dust and dirt. Outlets in bedside lamps not working properly, And these are needed for CPAP machines. As these continously became disconnected we were woke up several times throughout the night.
We had several families here for a funeral. The staff was very friendly and allowed our group to use several of their common areas. The kids used the pool which was very nice. The small rooms were very clean. Excellent hotel and very affordable
Very clean and inviting with a good breakfast selection. Pool is not large, but the temperature was nice and the jacuzzi is excellent. Staff at the front desk was very helpful. The price was extremely reasonable for the quality
Front desk staff is amazing. Very welcoming and made the experience great right from the beginning. I would stay here at this location again when I drive through Jacksonville, IL. Thank you for an amazing experience.
We were in town for a softball tournament. This hotel was very accommodating and accepting of a hotel full of 12-14 year old girls. The rooms were small but were equipped with a refrigerator and microwave and suited our needs perfectly. The pool area is very nice as is the small fitness center. The location is nice with plenty of restaurants and shopping nearby. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the area.
Not off Int. 72 - on Business 72 in a shopping district. Very safe and quiet. Comfortable and clean accommodations. Great pool! Only problem - getting the TV to work. Used the remote - kept saying to push "input". Pushed it - did nothing. Went to check at the front desk and said the input was on the side of the TV. Yes it worked - great TV - but everytime I wanted to put the TV on had to push remote and input on the side of the television. If that is the case for all rooms - I would suggest a sign pointing out what to do. Great breakfast too!!!
the staff was wonderful. Breakfast was amazing. We were there for 3 weeks and had no problem with the stay. Everything was what the website said it would be. I would stay at this hotel again for business trips.
The hotel does not accommodate sport teams well. Most hotels know that kids will be a little louder and energetic. Our kids were no different but FAR FAR from being a terrible nuisance. However that did not stop the staff from repeatably asking our families to keep our kids quiet during our stay. Hotel should have blocked an area of the hotel just for the sport teams so they wouldn't "bother" anyone else. The building feels like it is built out of paper with noisy floors and thin walls. The sink in our room had a bad leak causing the carpet to be wet during our entire stay. Room was very humid and air conditioner was not able to dehumidify. On top of that, the rate was jacked up at least 20/night from the weekend retail price due to us participating in a local baseball tournament. Complimentary breakfast was good and wifi worked well.
We stayed at the hotel while in town for a baseball tournament. Everything about this hotel was horrible from the employees to the rooms! The employees were rude and unhelpful. The room smelled musty and moldy. Upon informing the front desk they weren't surprised whatsoever and advised it was most likely from the air conditioner. They “solved” the problem by spraying air fresher in the room, so the room smell was overtaken for the two nights with an unbearable air freshener odor mixed with musty smell. You can barely turn around in the bathroom and it obviously didn't vent because everything was wet the entire time in the bathroom. The bathroom wasn't cleaned efficiently. The bed, although not terribly uncomfortably, constantly had a wet feeling due to the condensation in the room. The bedspread had a stain (which housekeeping just turned over the second night). There was a leaking ceiling in the main hallway of the first floor. Walking up and down the hallway water would drip onto us and the carpet was wet. The indoor pool didn't have a light, or at least a working light. It seemed unsafe for small children at night since it was hard to see into the pool at night. We paid 130+per night and it wasn't worth 30 a night!
Room and breakfast served was good. I thought it was a bit high for the area, but there was 3 big activities with huge out of town draw. My recommendation is if you're going to Jacksonville, book as quickly as possible because the whole town was full.
Jax, IL is not what you would call a tourist attraction. Corn and beans and now I see wheat[?]. What's up with IL farmers growing wheat? We're just use to Florida hotel, motels and, well farm counrty motels are just farm country motels.
Stayed for the week-end because of baseball tournament. Very close to the fields and easy to get around town. Room was clean, staff was very helpful, and even had extra help in the breakfast area because of the number of sport teams staying there. Check in and out was quick.
Small hotel, only 2 floors but does have an elevator. Bed was clean and comfortable. Bathroom small and no room for a wheelchair. Breakfast was missing the person who would be looking after it as there was no orange juice, looked like colour water, no whole milk, flat egg omelettes, never seen anything this tiny. As well as the muffin were mini. And no breakfast tea, lots of Earl Grey, this is not a standard Canadian tea!! Did ask for breakfast black tea and again she brought me Earl Grey!
I had a voucher for a free night which I used to book a room at this Best Western. I made the reservation through the 800 number and I was half expecting there to be a problem. Much to my delight they had all my information and there was no problem using the voucher. The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly and helpful.
Other than some minor details like blow dryer issues and white specs of what looks like it came from the ceiling on comforter, this place by far exceeded my expectations. The hot breakfast like biscuit and gravy was a winner. Definitely will stay here again on my return to Jacksonville, IL. And, the friendly front desk clerk, Amanda!
Great room for the night, room was clean, breakfast was good! Pet friendly it was one of the better hotels we stayed at considering we drove across country! I would recommend and stay here again if I traveled to the area
This was a great hotel for the value. The staff was knowledgable about the area and recommended an excellent pizza place (Leo's). The beds were super comfortable. We were originally just passing through, but ended up staying in the area for a while to explore.
Very reasonably priced for a clean comfortable room and a good complimentary hot breakfast. Nice pool and exercise area. Plenty of parking. The inn was well-kept and clean. Smoking-free. My stay was very restful.
I'm very appreciative of the bathroom design which puts the sink outside the rest of the bathroom. Makes it easier for two people to get ready at the same time. This place was clean and quiet. Not many hotels still use bedspreads, probably for reasons of cleanliness, but this hotel still uses them, and ours, alas, had a stain on it (not big--maybe the size of a dime).
Every staff person I met was very friendly and eager to do what they could to make our stay pleasant. The room was clean and comfortable, and there was water pressure in the shower! The breakfast was average but adequate.
The Best Western Jacksonville Illinois was a great stay. Rooms were clean, adequate parking close to places to dine and shop. I would recommend staying this hotel, in close proximity to Springfield IL
WE have spent many nights at this hotel due to travel requirements. It has a nice indoor pool. The rooms are nice, clean and fairly up to date. There might be a couple of cheaper hotels in town but this is always close to the Super 8 and is a better stay. It has an adequate breakfast. Overall if money is a concern then we would recommend you checking this place out.
small room, inattentive desk clerk, very noisy because of ball tournament, couldn't use the pool, room was disappointing after requesting downstairs-I am handicapped, not the best of BW, previous reviewers must have lower standards
We were in Jacksonville a baseball tournament at Lenz Field. The hotel is only 5 minutes from the fields and is conveniently located near local restaurants and stores. The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly. The breakfast was also very good.
I stayed at week at the best western for work. The staff was great. Pool was very clean. I was impressed with the whole experience for the price. The BW is close to everythin(shopping, restaurants, gas stations). Breakfast was good with a lot of variety.
Had a very pleasant stay. Extremely clean room; good selection for breakfast. Rooms comfortable, quiet and spacious. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast space was available for us for conferencing.
Pleasant staff, good breakfast, clean room, nice pool and whirlpool. Seems like the BW's are hit and miss when it comes to accommodations. This was a hit. Clerk was very considerate in placing us in a quiet room away from other guests.
Stayed one night in a king room on first floor. Bed was really comfortable. Clean. Quiet time after 10 pm. Pool across from front desk. There is some open area around the hotel and just down the road is a Community Park which is a great place to run a Golden Doodle! Lots of eating options nearby.
Pay a little extra for the large suites. They overlook the pool and are HUGE. Pool and hot tube are always clean and the perfect temp. Breakfast is delicious. The rooms and floors provide great sound proofing.
I travel for a living, I stay at all tall kinds of properties. This Best Western in Jacksonville, Illinois was a very pleasant surprise and a place I will stay at again. Large, clean rooms with comfy beds and a micro fridge in mine. Breakfast was much better than most and was kept well stocked and I enjoyed the eggs, biscuits and gravy and sausage, waffles and all type of cereal and pastries were also available. Staff was quick and friendly. Keep u the good work and I will see you nest time I am in town!
Staying here while in town for a few weeks. Booked online and couldn't beat the rates. It seems to be an older building I believe but in good condition and very clean. If your used to staying at the Sheraton then youll be disappointed but if you want a nice clean place to stay at an affordable rate then this place is for you.
Got a great rate for an overnight weekend stay. Room is basic but clean. Pool is very nice and staff was very friendly. Perfect.place to stay for a trip without breaking the bank. Great deal as compared to local similar level hotels. Will not disappoint.
Hotel was very clean, the pool and hot tub with sauna area was nice and clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good, standard food. Hotel was off main road in the town close to restaurants and not far from interstate.
Nice clean hotel, great staff, beds were nice.. bathrooms are dated and small, quite rooms , and keys worked every day, good parking for work trucks, Applebee's is next door, and sonic, A/C worked good
Hotel was clean and the staff was friendly. Located right in the middle of town, easy access to all of Jacksonville. The pool was in good shape and very relaxing. We will definitely stay there again in the future.
Doing games at Lenz Fields and this hotel was in convenient area for eating and only 5 min. away from venue. Very good price:102.85 for king room per nite. Very nice hotel with pool and fitness center also free breakfast with best biscuits and gravy of any hotel stay ever!
Place is always clean and fresh, staff is always friendly and helpful.Rooms are comfortable and clean. Beds are great.Love the pillows. Breakfast has wonderful selection and hot foods are served hot. Pool and Hot tub area are kept in spotless condition with plenty of chairs and towels.
We should be able to get more for the price of the room. disappointing stay. This hotel will be at the bottom of my list for hotel stays. I probably stay home if this was the only hotel available. Employees were kind of nice.
My husband is in the prison in that area so I didn't want to pay lots of money for the night because of what I already had to spend being there and best western was perfect. I not only got a room at a decent price but also had a peaceful time in the Jacuzzi to relax which I rarely get to myself.
Best Western is always my first choice because I can count on them being a nice place. This on was no different. Friendly and professional staff. The room was clean and nice. Everything worked and was well maintained. I'd stay here again.
I will not forget this stay for some time. I expected a lower ranking Hotel for the amount I paid. This Hotel was more than I ever expected... EVERYTHING was good from checking in to continental breakfast, to the fitness room , to the pool...a very clean, quiet and relaxing atmosphere. I will definitely tell my friends about this place.
Very relaxing stay. Staff was friendly. Check in was simple. Pool/Jacuzzi clean. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast was good, cereal, oatmeal, doughnuts, bagels, make your own waffles. Will definitely be returning very soon.
In town for a baseball tournament and we were not expecting a whole lot. And that's what we got. The room was serviceable but tight. Shower drain was clogged and we found ourselves standing in water over our ankles. Yuk. The AC was kicking and the breakfast was pretty good. Only went until 930am though. On vacation but couldn't sleep in much if we wanted to eat. Didn't try the pool.
the air conditioning unit sounded like it was on it's last leg and was going to break any minute...the room had a musky smell that was sickening...there was a softball tournament in the city and the kids upstairs sound as if they were at a track meet or a tumbling competition.
This motel was wonderful! We had a reunion group of 35 relatives, and everyone was happy! Breakfast was wonderful and ready on time every morning. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. We liked having the microwave and refrigerator in the room, too! Plenty of hot water always, too!
We stayed in this motel for 1 night while we were waiting for an auto repair while on the road driving across country. We had a pleasant stay even though the night in Jacksonville wasn't planned. The motel is newly remodeled and very nice and clean. The bed was comfortable and the breakfast was average. As we didn't have a vehicle due to the breakdown, there are several restaurants within walking distance. I would highly recommend this motel if you are in the area.
Our room had the smell of stale cigarettes. The faucet feel out in he sink. The carpet was dirty, soiled. Pool was not in working order because of poop in the pool. Not a parking spot in the evening. They offered a 10% discount. They should have reimbursed my stay.
Here are the 4 things I look at when I walk into a hotel room. 1) Does it smell? No not at all 2) Is it physically clean? Yes, very much 2) Can I walk barefoot on the carpet? Yes absolutely 3) How comfortable is the bed? Extremely comfortable The walls were very thick keeping outside noise out of the room
The room was a bit dark and stale, but it was clean. Beds were okay. Breakfast was typical for this level of hotel. Staff wasn't particularly friendly or service oriented. I asked for a late check out (1 hr) and was told it would be $10, even though I'm a rewards member.
We visit this town at least 2 times a year...and I always stay at Best Western. It's my home town...and now BW is my homestay. The employees (except the new ones) know me since we always stay there...so its really nice to feel at home.
Stayed at the BW for a baseball tournament for the 2nd time. The first time they were going through renovations. Everything is complete and the hotel is beautiful. Very well done. I have no complaints and wouldn't hesitate to choose BW again. The pool area is spacious and there is a nice big grassy area for the kids to play football or wiffle ball. The rooms were clean and spacious and the a/c was cold. The staff was helpful and the breakfast area was clean and roomy. Breakfast fare was the usual but well presented and kept stocked. Great job on the renovations and thank you for a great stay.
Will be going back! The swimming area was nice for the kids to play.... just a bit noisy. Rooms are were nice, and staff was friendly. We will be going back to our he area in a couple of months and plan to stay there again.
I personally thought that Kelly at the front desk did a great job accommodating our baseball team. She's a bit tough on the outside but had a big heart. Rooms were fine...it's not the Ritz Carlton. Small bathrooms but got the job done otherwise for myself and two kids. Very close Lentz Fields.
Our grandson goes to college at MacMurray and plays baseball. When we need to spend the night we always stay at Best Western. The rooms are always clean. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast is always restocked we will be back in May
Prices were increased due to to Lenz Field Tournament. Bathroom was small. But overall a nice hotel. Breakfast area is a little small when there are events going on. Not much room to sit and eat. This is not our second time staying.
Will never stay there again, staff is rude, they let guest be loud all night long and beds are horrible to sleep on! Also if there is a gas leak everyone on the 1st floor is dead! CO2 detectors are up by the ceiling! Horrible!!!!
This was a very adequate hotel that had fantastic wifi, comfy beds, a nice pool, and super friendly staff. My kids really had a blast swimming. Breakfast was a just okay, but it was overall a good experience.
There was a lot of noise next door from other guests not the hotels fault. The breakfast had good choicchoices but bad quality watered down waffle batter microwaved biscuits. The breakfast staff was rude. Beds were a little uncomfortable however overall room was clean amenities were great pool hot tub and sauna were well taken care of. The rest of tje staff was super friendly. I think they should offer somewhere for smokers to smoke somewhere warm/Cool and dry there were some older guests having a hard time. I would go back as long as rates stay comparable.
The desk clerk was friendly and our room was clean. The breakfast provided had great choices and they kept the serving dishes full. No problems at all. We would not hesitate to stay here again if passing through.
Me and part of my family travel to this location to atendded a funeral...And stay at the Best western in jacksonville illinois for a week.. And went inn for a big and cozy hotel room that was very clean and updated outside as well in the inside.. very glad we choose this hotel. Very helpful personal.. One person in special that made us feel super welcome every day of our stay was the front desk receptionist Maria..Always very attentive to our needs and always with a great smile for us.. keep up the good work!!! Over all very satisfied with our stay in jacksonvile.. We definitely come by to stay again.. Thank u
My husband and I have stayed here for 3 weeks. We were here on business. The breakfast was better than usual with biscuits and gravy, eggs, sausage patties, cold as well as hot cereal, orange juice, apple juice, apples and bananas, donuts, bagels, and waffles. My only complaint about the breakfast is that everyday it is the same. One big plus was that they serve the breakfast from 5:30-9:30 which worked well for my husband's work schedule. The king bed rooms were nice and roomy, the 2 queen rooms were more crowded since more furniture and same room size. There is an office chair that does recline and a cushioned red chair without an ottoman and doesn't recline. The hot tub and indoor pool was a nice place to go after a hard day of work. There was also a sauna but we never tested it out. The fitness room included a treadmill, weight machine, exercise bike, and stepper. There are tons of stores, restaurants, and a park with a walking path very close to this motel--including a Walmart. The office staff was always cordial and helpful. This is a non-smoking motel so all rooms smelled fresh. Every room came with a microwave and refrigerator. It would have been nice if the fridge had a small freezer with it for my husband's ice pack for his brown bag lunch.
We were satisfied except the rate was higher than the one we stayed in in Branson, Mo. also the last the breakfast items, eggs, sausage and gravy was cold. Which was very disappointing otherwise it was satisfactory. \\
We had a family reunion in the area and the folks at Best Western were very accommodating to our needs to gather either in the lobby or the breakfast room. Beds and pillows were very comfortable for a good night's sleep.
Very musty odor throughout the hotel, so they must have a leak somewhere, they did have a dehumidifier in the hallway. Breakfast was ok, served same thing everyday. Internet was not very good. Parking wasn't the best, when semi's park behind your vehicle.
We are on a month long trip, staying in family owned motels. We decided to splurge for a night and booked a room in Jacksonville Illinois at a chain motel, paying $20 more than we had for any other. What the other 10 (the 30 day trip is now 1/3 of the way through) and this one had in common: 1) clean room; 2) warm and helpful staff; 3) excellent air conditioning; 4) soap, shampoo and conditioner Why we were disappointed with the much higher price yet lesser service: 1) all had tv's but this one pixelated and sometimes just faded away; 2) all had refrigerators but this one was barely cold and had no freezer for our ice pads; 3) all had secure internet but this one. While none of these things would ordinarily be disappointing, we could have looked for a family owned motel here and saved $20 - $30 dollars.
I felt safe and secure and look forward to visiting again. I was pleasantly surprised that the receptionist would make hot water for me so I could have a badly needed cup of tea. It was such a nice pick me up.
Friendly, helpful staff Breakfast has a good variety, Yogurt, Cereal, apple Juice, orange Juice, Hard boiled eggs, sausage, eggs, waffle, (you make yourself), donuts, bagels, english muffins, Very good Coffee,Bagels, biscuits. Tables are always clean.
We stay at this hotel every time we visit my family in Jacksonville, IL I like the friendly workers and the inside pool when we visit in the winter. The Hotel is affordable and very nice. it is also in a great location and convenient for our needs.
We stayed here for over one week on two separate occasions. The staff was dynamite! Kelly was so helpful and courteous. One time they were under construction so some things were annoying but it seemed the staff went out of their way to make us comfortable. We will for sure stay here again if we return. Now everything has been remodeled and the hotel looks and feels new!
This hotel, though an older building, has been recently renovated and redecorated. Upon arrival, Kelly greeted me with a smile, offered a choice of room location, answered my questions, and was a pleasure to talk to. When I was checking out, Patty was equally helpful and asked that we come back soon. The gentleman who was responsible for the breakfast area was very attentive to the needs of all the guests.
Rooms are filthy and customer service was non-existant! If you can stay somewhere else I encourage you too! Locks do not work and staff is less than enthusiastic about helping to remedy even the smallest of security concerns. If you have children stay somewhere else for sure!
Stayed 2 nights for baseball tournament. Clean rooms, good value, good free breakfast and free internet. Hotel staff friendly and efficient especially breakfast attendant. Pool area clean and comfortable with tables, chairs and hot tub. 2nd floor suite room has balcony that overlooks pool area. Convenient central location, only 6 minutes from Lentz Fields.
I visited this hotel last year and was so impressed with the comfort of rooms and warmth of pool. This time however, the hallways were choked with cigarette repeatedly and the response of the front desk staff was to spray air freshener, not confront the culprit(s). Further the pool was extremely cold, the hot tub barely warm. Even the quality of the breakfast had dropped considerably.
This BW met or exceeded all of my expectations for this hotel category and price range. Staff was friendly and helpful. Housekeeping did a nice refresh of the room every morning. One item to note, the decaf coffee was either cold or empty each morning in the breakfast area. With that said, they did promptly brew fresh coffee when I brought it to their attention. Pool area was very nice and clean. There was some foot noise from children heard on upper floor and noise from the room next door (we had one of the rooms that adjoined, but were not actually sharing with another party). The adjoining rooms need some work to better insulate the sound through the doors.
I found the rooms are clean and comfortable. The staff is excellent. I loved the hot breakfast, waffles, fruit, eggs, yogurt, rolls, great coffee, juice, cereal and rolls. My kids loved the breakfast. And the pool and hot tub were very clean and well cared for.
Stopped at this facility while in town visiting friends and always look for a BW when i can. This is average to above average, staff was somewhat helpful as my room was not ready but did make an adjustment to get me into a different room. The motel was full of young families with lots of kids so it was noisy that night but you will have that with kids. Rooms were clean and beds very comfortable. Breakfast was a typical free continental breakfast.
The on-line reservation system switched dates on me and I didn't realize it until I tried to check in and they couldn't find my reservation. The lady at the front desk, possibly picking up on my confusion and harried look, was very accommodating and was able to place me in a room anyway.
My husband made the reservations through American Express and there was a mix up and somehow we had one room for one night and one room for two nights. We only needed the one night for two nights. At check-in the clerk caught and tried to get it fixed . the next morning Patti the manager did everything she could think of and helped us to get the right numbers to call. When we got home we finally got it fixed. Thank You Patt;y.
I researched many motels in Jacksonville before I chose this one. I counted on the aggregate of positive reviews in addition to price, and the Best Western is a real winner. It was a stone's throw away from my destination (Illinois College), and the room was exactly the right size, with only one bed, as requested. And what looked to be a brand new and spacious bathroom. The room also had a frig, microwave and coffee service. The breakfast room was bright and cheery, with a full selection of breakfast choices and great coffee. A great start for the long drive back home. The only minor negative was soundproofing -- I could easily hear the romping of children up and down the hall, but that was in the daytime, and happily not a problem at night. But I was able to hear the alarms from the rooms on either side of me, much earlier than I would have chosen to get up.
I stayed for 4 nights. The room quality exceeded my expectations. The only small issue I had is that the staff could dress in their own clothes, no type of uniforms, so it was difficult to tell who was employed at the hotel and who was a guest. Otherwise, I was very pleased with the value and my stay.
Room was fine; clean, right temperature, good pillows. Breakfast was okay but the biscuits were cold, there was a waffle machine but there was no batter. Customer Service was nice, the guy who received when we arrive was nice, asked if WiFi was needed, provided userID/password. We got there at 10PM and he offered to leave the pool open a little longer, we declined because we were tired from the drive but it was nice of him to offer.
This is the second time we have stayed at this hotel in Jacksonville and it is always a nice clean place to stay and you can't beat the price. We plan on staying there every time we visit our son at Illinois college.
This motel meets my expectations for a standard motel. The room was clean and nicely decorated. The fridge and heater were quiet, so did not disturb my sleep (or freeze my soda- a pet peave of mine). The staff was friendly and accommodating. The bed was comfortable, and the nightstand and desk lamps had plugs to charge phones and electronics. It appears that a number of my fellow travelers were utility or construction workers from out of state being housed at the Best Western by their employers. Everyone was pleasant and quiet, and as a woman traveling solo I felt safe. Food and shopping is within a block or two. It's not a resort, but a good place to stop and sleep.
This hotel is recently updated. Rooms are clean, WiFi works and the room has a fridge and microwave. Pool and sauna were very nice, and breakfast had a good variety of food. We only stayed one night but I was impressed by this hotel.
Nice rooms, everything was clean. Comfortable beds and a good nights sleep! Breakfast was good. Internet service was easy to use and was fast. No problems. Easy to park and easy to find! Wake up call worked as expected, unlike some places I have stayed that cost a lot more. Great Value!
I have traveled for business for 15 years and was concerned about a place at this price. I am pleasantly surprised with the cleanliness and comfort for a budget priced hotel. It is not the Hilton but for the basic place to spend a night or 2 it is more than acceptable. The location is close to food and shopping areas and things have been quit. I haven't had time to clock the pool or fitness areas, but from what I have seen they appear to be well maintained.
Everything looked shiny and new. The room was comfortable, hot breakfast good, staff friendly and helpful and the elevator terrific! The pool looked inviting, though we didn't use it. The pet charge was minimal, $10, and there was a good grassy area to walk him in. We would go out of our way to stay here again.
I spend a lot of time in small towns in Central Illinois and look for places with a good pool as my number one. This one was bathtub warm and just big enough for an enjoyable workout. The hotel was recently renovated. Rooms now have all new furnishings and one king bed, not two which means really nice floor space and not as crowded feeling as so many rooms with two kings. Who ever started that anyway? Most business travelers travel alone. When couples travel I would assume they sleep in the same bed. The bed is the reason for the rating. If it were not hard as concrete, I would have given this place an 'excellent' but this has to be the hardest mattress I have every experienced. If you like that sort of thing, this is the place for you.
The staff was great, pool was great. Hot tub and sauna were great, Breakfast was good and room was clean and comfortable. They are extremely pet friendly, my dog loved the room. I was surprised at all of the interesting places to see and things to do in the area. We will definitely be going back to spend more time.
My wife and stayed here while visiting our son who attends Illinois College, This Hotel is close to campus, VERY clean, Very comfortable, and almost half the price of most of the other Hotels in Jacksonville. We plan to stay there every time we visit him from now on.
This best Western is a very nice little hotel. The rooms are very clean and the people they are very friendly. But the pool area is very nice they got a nice clean little hot tub and the pool was a delight. But what I like about this hotel the most is that they except small dogs that is a big plus for me. So if you are looking for real nice hotel in Jacksonville Illinois I would definitely recommend this hotel
We were allowed to check into our room at 2 p.m.! The ladies working the desk were extremely nice and accommodating. They have a pool and hot tub inside. It was very quiet. The rooms are CLEAN. Beds are comfortable. We checked out before the free breakfast was served but the ladies allowed us to grab some fruit and yogurt for the road.
